The Auron MacIntyre Show - Trump's 'Shock and Awe' Campaign Stuns the Left ｜ 1⧸23⧸25

Donald Trump, who survived multiple assassination attempts and criminal prosecutions, pulled off the most impressive political comeback in American history when he took the oath of office on Monday. During his inaugural address, he lambasted Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, forcing them to sit through a list of their own failures. The 47th president made sweeping promises, including sending troops to secure the border, returning manufacturing to the United States, and avoiding unnecessary wars.

00:00:30.000 Donald Trump, who survived multiple assassination attempts and criminal prosecutions,

00:00:35.200 pulled off the most impressive political comeback in American history

00:00:39.520 when he took the oath of office on Monday.

00:00:42.920 During his inaugural address, he lambasted Joe Biden and Kamala Harris,

00:00:47.640 forcing them to sit through a list of their own failures.

00:00:50.880 The 47th president made sweeping promises,

00:00:54.400 including sending troops to secure the border,

00:00:57.260 returning manufacturing to the United States,

00:00:59.660 and avoiding unnecessary wars.

00:01:02.460 Everyone expected bold rhetoric,

00:01:04.660 but wondered if Trump could back it up with action.

00:01:07.840 And he did not disappoint.

00:01:10.540 After fulfilling his ceremonial duties and thanking his supporters,

00:01:14.600 Trump issued a flurry of executive orders.

00:01:16.900 He pardoned more than 1,500 individuals charged in a connection with the events of January 6, 2021,

00:01:23.940 some of whom remained in prison awaiting trial.

00:01:27.420 Many had faced nonviolent charges or had been investigated without even actually entering the Capitol.

00:01:34.220 Trump also withdrew the United States from the World Health Organization,

00:01:37.920 which he blamed for mishandling the COVID-19 pandemic.

00:01:41.620 In another order, he directed the federal government to recognize only two genders

00:01:46.740 and remove diversity, equity, and inclusion policies from relevant government agencies.

00:01:53.380 Immigrants at the southern border discovered that the CBP1 app,

00:01:58.020 used by the Biden administration to facilitate an invasion of the United States,

00:02:01.980 had been shut down.

00:02:03.380 News crews filmed migrants in tears after their screening appointments were canceled.

00:02:09.320 Meanwhile, Trump issued an order freezing federal civilian hiring

00:02:13.320 and designating foreign drug cartels operating in the United States as terrorist organizations.

00:02:19.560 He also imposed a 90-day pause on all foreign aid to reassess those programs.

00:02:24.660 Ideally, they'll be eliminated entirely.

00:02:26.840 Most significantly for the nation's future,

00:02:30.320 Trump signed an order to end the destructive practices of birthright citizenship.

00:02:36.160 Currently, anyone born on U.S. soil is automatically considered a citizen,

00:02:40.820 regardless of their parents' legal status.

00:02:43.120 But this was never the intention of the 14th Amendment,

00:02:45.740 which was ratified after the Civil War to clarify that freed slaves were in fact American citizens.

00:02:52.020 Under Trump's new directive,

00:02:53.440 if a child's parents are in the country illegally or only under temporary status,

00:02:58.820 the child will not be deemed a citizen.

00:03:01.360 The measure aims to end the anchor baby phenomenon,

00:03:04.320 in which foreign nationals enter into the country on a temporary visa,

00:03:07.980 have a child who becomes a citizen,

00:03:09.900 and then leverage that status to remain in the United States.

00:03:14.820 What's better than a well-marbled ribeye sizzling on the barbecue?

00:03:18.020 A well-marbled ribeye sizzling on the barbecue that was carefully selected by an Instacart shopper

00:03:23.720 and delivered to your door.

00:03:25.360 A well-marbled ribeye you ordered without even leaving the kiddie pool.

00:03:29.780 Whatever groceries your summer calls for,

00:03:32.120 Instacart has you covered.

00:03:33.920 Download the Instacart app and enjoy $0 delivery fees on your first three orders.

00:03:38.800 Service fees, exclusions, and terms apply.

00:03:41.480 Instacart.

00:03:42.400 Groceries that over-deliver.

00:03:43.980 This change is crucial because it dramatically affects voting patterns.

00:03:49.040 New immigrants tend to favor Democrats,

00:03:51.460 which is why the left pushes so hard for open borders.

00:03:55.080 Although illegal immigrants can't vote,

00:03:57.160 their children born on American soil gain citizenship.

00:04:01.120 Democrats were playing the long game,

00:04:02.940 hoping that a large influx of illegal immigrants 1.00

00:04:05.640 would translate into political victories later,

00:04:08.820 when those children came of age and started voting.

00:04:11.260 By restoring what he considers to be the 14th Amendment's intended meaning,

00:04:16.320 Trump has blocked this strategy,

00:04:18.480 making it more likely that Republicans will prevail in fair elections.

00:04:22.720 Trump's day one blitz of executive orders sends a strong message,

00:04:26.320 but it marks only the beginning.

00:04:28.260 The left remains stunned by his sweeping victory,

00:04:31.500 though its disorientation won't last forever.

00:04:34.900 Progressives have tried every tactic,

00:04:36.800 from labeling Trump a Nazi to attempting to bankrupt him,

00:04:40.440 remove him from the ballot, 1.00

00:04:41.900 imprison him, and even kill him. 0.99

00:04:43.940 All of these efforts have failed, 0.99

00:04:45.500 and the American people returned the billionaire to the White House

00:04:48.600 with a clear mandate.

00:04:50.660 Progressives continue their accusations of racism and fascism,

00:04:55.020 but the energy and power behind those charges have largely evaporated.

00:04:59.260 Trump must maintain an all-out offensive

00:05:01.800 while his opponents remain weak and demoralized.

00:05:04.960 Although executive orders can make a splash,

00:05:08.360 they can also be undone with the stroke of a pen.

00:05:11.600 The birthright citizenship question will head to the courts.

00:05:14.500 Opponents have already filed a raft of lawsuits,

00:05:17.160 and the administration must be ready to defend its position vigorously.

00:05:21.360 At the same time,

00:05:22.440 achieving lasting change through legislation is critical,

00:05:25.940 though the president will likely have to battle many members of his own party,

00:05:30.400 as often as he fights the Democrats.

00:05:32.120 In his first term,

00:05:33.660 Trump encountered constant opposition from personnel within his own executive agencies.

00:05:39.160 Now older and more experienced,

00:05:41.220 the president recognizes the importance of securing Senate confirmation

00:05:45.020 for key appointees to ensure his second administration's success.

00:05:50.460 Trump has also pledged to abolish certain government agencies,

00:05:53.920 such as the Department of Education,

00:05:55.640 and to implement major law enforcement steps,

00:05:58.200 including the mass deportation of illegal immigrants,

00:06:00.820 rapidly rolling out this agenda would give Democrats less time to recover

00:06:05.480 and limit the ability of a sympathetic media to manipulate public opinion.

00:06:10.920 Trump has made a very strong showing on his first day back in the White House.

00:06:16.460 The left remains stunned by the scope of the defeat that they've suffered

00:06:20.060 and can only offer modest resistance to his agenda.

00:06:24.200 Unlike his first term,

00:06:25.360 the president now has the benefit of powerful media and tech allies such as Elon Musk,

00:06:30.740 and a staff fully attuned to the obstacles that he faces.

00:06:34.820 The time for action is now.

00:06:37.260 If Trump maintains this rapid pace,

00:06:39.680 he's poised to be one of the most influential conservative presidents in American history.

00:06:45.520 But if he hesitates or loses focus,

00:06:47.760 the left will seize the opportunity to revive its own flagging movement.
