The Ben Shapiro Show - Post-Debate, Trump STILL Has The Advantage

00:00:00.000 What do you feel in your body when you hear the term white people?

00:00:05.000 I feel like a cringe about it.

00:00:08.000 White, straight, cisgender. 0.55

00:00:10.000 Man, it's the top of the pile.

00:00:11.000 I'm on the top of the pile.

00:00:12.000 It's me.

00:00:13.000 Can I just propose a toast? 0.98

00:00:15.000 Raise a glass if you're racist. 0.99

00:00:16.000 It's a racist. 0.93

00:00:19.000 That was really weird. 0.92

00:00:21.000 Don't deny that you're racist.

00:00:22.000 Try not to be racist, but don't... but also don't realize that you're... Until we're willing to talk about these things, healing can't really begin.

00:00:28.000 My daughter's four years old.

00:00:29.000 She's still watching Disney movies and choosing a white princess. 0.95

00:00:31.000 Have you talked to her about that?

00:00:33.000 All of the time.

00:00:34.000 Is racism inherent to whiteness?

00:00:36.000 Yes.

00:00:36.000 Yep.

00:00:37.000 Probably.

00:00:37.000 Yeah.

00:00:38.000 Woo! 0.99

00:00:38.000 Yeah. 0.99

00:00:39.000 Joining us now is Matt, certified DEI expert.

00:00:42.000 Did race exist as a reality before?

00:00:44.000 We made race exist.

00:00:45.000 Does that make sense?

00:00:46.000 It does make sense.

00:00:48.000 What you're doing is you're stretching out of your white. 0.96

00:00:48.000 What do you mean? 0.96

00:00:51.000 This is more for you and less for you.

00:00:52.000 Am I racist?

00:00:55.000 In theaters this Friday.

00:00:56.000 Rated PG-13.

00:00:58.000 So the media are filled with Kamala Harris vibes.

00:01:03.000 According to some, the election's already over.

00:01:05.000 But here's the thing.

00:01:06.000 There are 54 days until this election, and a lot is going to happen.

00:01:11.000 It is the most important election of our lifetimes.

00:01:13.000 Now, more than ever, you need the truth.

00:01:35.000 So, according to the media, this race is effectively over.

00:01:38.000 It's effectively over with a couple of months left to go in this election.

00:01:42.000 Now, normally, Normally, in a presidential race, this is kind of where the race heats up.

00:01:46.000 This is not where the race is over, this is where the race heats up.

00:01:49.000 And that's particularly true this year, because one of the candidates is still a complete unknown.

00:01:54.000 And yet, the media have declared, because the news cycle moves so fast, and because Donald Trump is such a known quantity, they've declared that because Donald Trump did not perform well in the debate the other night, and because the media Ganged up with Kamala Harris, as we said yesterday, in the most rigged debate in presidential history.

00:02:09.000 Because of that, Donald Trump is effectively done.

00:02:12.000 That was the case that was being made yesterday by pollster Frank Lund.

00:02:15.000 So Frank went on Piers Morgan's show and he basically said, I think this race is now over.

00:02:19.000 Donald Trump has blown it.

00:02:20.000 It's completely done.

00:02:23.000 Do you think Kamala won?

00:02:24.000 And does that mean she may now win the election? 0.79

00:02:28.000 I think more accurately it's that Donald Trump lost.

00:02:33.000 And this is not the worst debate performance I've seen in my career, but it's very close to it.

00:02:39.000 The conversations about people eating dogs and cats.

00:02:43.000 Calling the leader of Hungary one of the greatest world leaders.

00:02:47.000 Repeatedly missing the opportunity to focus on inflation and affordability and the complete inability to present his point of view without completely tearing into her, into Joe Biden, into whomever was in his sights.

00:03:04.000 It was a pretty negative performance, pretty pessimistic, cynical, contemptuous.

00:03:12.000 And I think that this will cost him.

00:03:16.000 Yes, I'm trying to decide if I want to go on record and the answer is yes.

00:03:21.000 I think that that he loses because of this debate performance.

00:03:26.000 Okay, so, the answer to that is no.

00:03:29.000 He does not lose because of this debate performance.

00:03:32.000 I'll explain exactly why that is.

00:03:35.000 So, let's begin with the fact that the ratings on this debate were good, but not historically amazing.

00:03:41.000 So apparently, there are about 67 million total viewers who watched this debate.

00:03:45.000 But, of that 67 million total viewers, how many of those people are the undecided or the independents who are actually going to decide this election?

00:03:53.000 That is the real question.

00:03:55.000 67 million people sounds like a lot of people, except for the first presidential debate in 2020 garnered 73 million people, and the very first debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in 2016 was 84 million people.

00:04:06.000 So it actually isn't historically all that great a rating in terms of the presidential race, in terms of historic presidential debates.

00:04:14.000 But more importantly, the vast majority of Americans have already made up their mind.

00:04:18.000 This race is going to come down to extremely small margins, truly tiny margins in seven different states, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin.

00:04:29.000 All of those states are currently within the margin of error.

00:04:31.000 Now, we have yet to see any serious poll data after the debate.

00:04:36.000 And it's going to be a few days until we actually know what that poll data looks like.

00:04:39.000 And you would expect that Kamala Harris will get a minor bounce in many of these newer polls. 0.58

00:04:44.000 But over time, are those numbers going to last?

00:04:48.000 That is the big question.

00:04:50.000 So Nate Silver, who again, I think is the best poll analyst in the country, over at his website, natesilver.net, he talks about how the polls are going to move.

00:04:58.000 He says that, you know, right now, nothing that you see in the polling is taking into account the debate because it's just too soon.

00:05:04.000 And then you'll see a couple of days from now, sort of quick and dirty polls that seem to have an outsized impact because, of course, they'll be in the immediate aftermath of the debate.

00:05:13.000 And then you'll get a few days from now, four to seven days from now, More high-quality national polls, and then you will see a reversion to the new normal.

00:05:20.000 And that will happen probably 8 to 13 days from now.

00:05:23.000 So you're not going to know the actual impact of the new normal in the debate for another week or so.

00:05:28.000 Well, a week in American politics is literally forever.

00:05:31.000 It is forever in American politics.

00:05:33.000 One week.

00:05:34.000 And two weeks from now, this ain't going to be in the news.

00:05:36.000 At all.

00:05:37.000 Remember, two weeks from now, we're already looking at the vice presidential debate.

00:05:40.000 You know, a lot can happen between now and then.

00:05:44.000 And so what Nate Silver suggests is that she'll probably get a bump of somewhere between one to one and a half points nationally.

00:05:51.000 And that, of course, would make a very big difference in a very, very tight race.

00:05:54.000 But what he says is that if I had to guess what the model will say in a week or two, once we get enough post-debate polling, I would say the race is pretty damned close to 50-50.

00:06:03.000 Because going into the debate, according to Silver's model, he thought that Kamala Harris was actually the underdog.

00:06:08.000 A fairly significant underdog.

00:06:10.000 And now, because she performed well at the debate, and because Trump did underperform, and because the media, of course, were jumping on Trump's back, and they were basically facilitating Harris' victory.

00:06:21.000 Because of all of that, she'll probably get a boost, but not enough of a boost to actually make this into a solid win for her.

00:06:29.000 And herein lies the problem for Kamala Harris.

00:06:32.000 Kamala will certainly get some sort of polling boost from the debate. 0.96

00:06:35.000 Is it going to be that much of a boost?

00:06:37.000 Pretty unclear, but I'll tell you what is clear.

00:06:39.000 Your cell phone coverage if you get Pure Talk.

00:06:41.000 I'm going to let you in on a little wireless hacking.

00:06:43.000 Cut your cell phone bill in half every single month.

00:06:46.000 Most big cell phone providers, they'd like you to believe you need unlimited data so they can overcharge you.

00:06:50.000 Most of you are buying way more data than you're ever going to need.

00:06:50.000 Here's the fact.

00:06:53.000 With PureTalk, my cell phone company, you can choose how much data you actually want and you can save.

00:06:58.000 For just $35 a month, you can get unlimited talk, text, and 15 gigs of data, plus mobile hotspot on America's most dependable 5G network.

00:06:58.000 Listen to this.

00:07:05.000 So, I know, it's hard to tell what you can do with that much data, so here's the answer.

00:07:08.000 You can browse the internet for 500 hours.

00:07:10.000 You can stream 3,000 songs.

00:07:11.000 You can watch 30 hours of video.

00:07:13.000 That's if you're not on Wi-Fi.

00:07:15.000 When you switch your cell phone service to PeerTalk on a qualifying plan, you'll get one year free of Daily Wire Plus Insider.

00:07:35.000 Donald Trump failed in the debate because there were three things that he had to effectively establish.

00:07:38.000 One, he had to establish that she is Biden.

00:07:47.000 What had to happen in that debate for each side was different. Donald Trump failed in the debate

00:07:51.000 because there were three things that he had to effectively establish. One, he had to establish

00:07:56.000 that she is Biden. She is responsible for everything the Biden administration has done.

00:08:00.000 You don't like what's going on right now?

00:08:02.000 You need to change it up.

00:08:03.000 You need to move away from Kamala Harris.

00:08:05.000 He did not do his job in actually tying her that closely to Joe Biden.

00:08:09.000 She was able to sort of evade those punches with the help, again, of David Muir and Lindsey Davis, who should just be on the DNC payroll at this point.

00:08:16.000 But that is a proposition that most Americans agree with right now.

00:08:20.000 That Kamala Harris is not the change agent.

00:08:21.000 That Kamala Harris is, in fact, tied to Joe Biden at the hip and responsible for his policies.

00:08:27.000 Second, he had to drive home that Harris is actually dangerously far left.

00:08:31.000 He tried to do that, and the media just lied about it, as we will see.

00:08:35.000 The media lied.

00:08:36.000 They said that all of the crazy proposals that he said that she had, those weren't real.

00:08:41.000 You had David Muir jumping in to try and fact-check that.

00:08:41.000 Those weren't real.

00:08:44.000 Or Lindsay Davis trying to fact-check Donald Trump when he would call out her far-left policies on, say, abortion or illegal immigration.

00:08:52.000 And they were lying on her behalf.

00:08:54.000 But Are those issues going to go away? 0.54

00:08:56.000 And finally, he had to paint her as incompetent. 0.90

00:08:59.000 And because he did not seem particularly competent on the stage,

00:09:02.000 and because she was sort of massaged into competence by the moderators,

00:09:06.000 because she was never challenged, just memorized a bunch of answers and then spewed them out,

00:09:10.000 like you would on like a 10th grade English exam.

00:09:13.000 Just memorize what the teacher wants you to say and then you just spew it right back out.

00:09:17.000 No actual synthesis of knowledge or anything.

00:09:19.000 Because she was able to pull that off, she didn't appear incompetent.

00:09:22.000 That is why Trump didn't do what he had to do on the stage the other night.

00:09:25.000 However, Kamala Harris, believe it or not, also did not do what she needed to do on the stage. 1.00

00:09:31.000 And herein lies the problem.

00:09:33.000 This is why it is still a coin flip 50-50 race, even despite the fact That about two-thirds of people who watched the debate thought that she won.

00:09:41.000 By the way, I should mention at this point that back in 2012, two-thirds of people thought that Mitt Romney destroyed Barack Obama in the first debate.

00:09:48.000 And then he lost.

00:09:49.000 So...

00:09:50.000 What did Harris actually have to accomplish?

00:09:52.000 Well, she had to dodge all the punches, which I think she did. 1.00

00:09:56.000 But she also had to establish that she is different from Joe Biden in some fundamental way.

00:10:01.000 And she said stuff like that.

00:10:02.000 She said, right, I'm not Trump.

00:10:03.000 I'm not Trump.

00:10:05.000 And I'm not Joe Biden.

00:10:06.000 I'm Kamala Harris.

00:10:07.000 And she did that routine.

00:10:09.000 But did it land?

00:10:10.000 Did anyone believe that she is there because she is so different from Joe Biden or that, as I've said before, she's basically a new coat of paint on a broken up old jalopy and they're trying to pass it off as a Lamborghini?

00:10:24.000 So she had to establish that she's wildly different from Joe Biden.

00:10:26.000 Did she accomplish that?

00:10:27.000 I don't think so.

00:10:28.000 She also had to establish that she's a moderate who has somehow moved her positions for good reason. 0.54

00:10:34.000 She never established that because she never bothered to explain why she moved from the far left in 2019 to her supposed current positions in 2024. 0.78

00:10:43.000 She never explained why she reversed herself on fracking.

00:10:45.000 She never explained why she reversed herself on decriminalization of border crossings, if she did.

00:10:49.000 She never explained why she reversed herself on mandatory gun buybacks.

00:10:52.000 She never explained why she reversed herself on electric vehicle mandates.

00:10:55.000 She didn't explain any of those things.

00:10:57.000 And here is the problem for Kamala Harris. 0.95

00:11:01.000 All of the systemic disadvantages that she currently has as a candidate remain true today. 0.99

00:11:07.000 Those perceptions have not been changed by that debate.

00:11:11.000 The only perception that got changed by the debate is that she's the queen of word salad. 1.00

00:11:15.000 That was the big rap on her, sort of in terms of persona, is that if you asked her anything like a tough question, she would immediately spin off.

00:11:21.000 And she actually did start to spin off, it's just that Trump totally failed in calling her out on it.

00:11:25.000 The very first question she spun off.

00:11:27.000 The very first question.

00:11:29.000 It's a point of irritation for me, because I believe that there were many opportunities for President Trump to duck in and deliver a swift left hook that would have left her on the canvas.

00:11:38.000 The very opening of the debate, when she was asked, are you better off than you were four years ago?

00:11:42.000 And she completely dodged the question.

00:11:44.000 She went screaming for the hills with her hair on fire. 0.99

00:11:47.000 When they came back to Trump, because they asked him about his tariff plans, and he likes talking about his tariff plans, instead of doing the thing he had to do, he did something he didn't have to do.

00:11:57.000 He immediately should have said, listen, I'm happy to talk about my tariff plans and I will in just a moment.

00:12:00.000 But I just want to point out, Kamala Harris was asked a simple question.

00:12:04.000 Are you better off than you were four years ago?

00:12:06.000 She dodged the question.

00:12:07.000 You know why she dodged.

00:12:09.000 I know why she dodged.

00:12:10.000 She knows why she dodged. 0.92

00:12:11.000 We all know.

00:12:12.000 The answer is no.

00:12:14.000 You are not better off than you were four years ago.

00:12:16.000 She and her boss have wrecked the economy.

00:12:18.000 She was the last person in the room on all of these decisions.

00:12:21.000 The reason she's on the stage is because she's so tied at the hip to Joe Biden. 0.96

00:12:27.000 We all know this.

00:12:28.000 And she can sit there and talk about her future plans.

00:12:30.000 We know she won't do any of those things because she hasn't for the last three and a half years.

00:12:34.000 She is lying to you and she's lying to the American people.

00:12:37.000 And she's trying to distract you with a bunch of plans she cribbed from Joe Biden's website.

00:12:40.000 I mean, again, all that's super easy and it wouldn't have required a lot there.

00:12:43.000 But President Trump was, for whatever reason, easily distractible during the debate.

00:12:47.000 Now, again, as I say, that's more of a lost opportunity than anything else.

00:12:51.000 But it doesn't mean that the race is this positively over as the media are attempting to declare.

00:12:56.000 Now, the media are going to attempt to shield her, and in a certain way, I'm not sure that benefits her.

00:13:00.000 So, for example, Politico has a piece today titled, It's Go Time for the Harris Campaign.

00:13:05.000 Harris's campaign advisors made clear she will be doing more media interviews, including with unconventional outlets, but none of them are going to be adversarial.

00:13:12.000 They're going to use the debate as the opportunity to say she has now answered every question she had to answer.

00:13:18.000 That means she can go hang out with Charlemagne than God.

00:13:21.000 That means that she can go hang out with the ladies of The View.

00:13:24.000 It means that she can go hang out with a bunch of friendlies all the way from here to the election. 0.79

00:13:28.000 I don't think that's true.

00:13:29.000 I don't think that the American people know what they need to know about Kamala Harris sufficient to put her in the White House.

00:13:36.000 The bet that the Kamala Harris campaign is making is that what you saw from President Trump the other night is so off-putting to you that you simply will not vote for him, and you'll vote for her by default.

00:13:46.000 That is the bet that she is making.

00:13:48.000 The problem is this.

00:13:49.000 As much as people say that Donald Trump was super terrible, awful, no good, very bad, was Donald Trump a standard of deviation different from what he normally is?

00:13:58.000 I would say no.

00:13:59.000 I think that Donald Trump is pretty much what he always is.

00:14:01.000 And we're all pretty used to it.

00:14:03.000 You can try to make a big deal out of the, they're eating cats and they're eating dogs, you can make a big deal out of that.

00:14:09.000 But the reality is, we've been seeing this routine for 10 years.

00:14:12.000 The American people are quite used to this at this point.

00:14:14.000 That is not going to be the barrier to entry.

00:14:17.000 Him saying unsubstantiated things on the stage, that is not going to be the dispositive factor in this year's election.

00:14:26.000 And so I think that she is in real danger of ignoring the things she has to do, which is to establish why she changed her positions. 0.71

00:14:34.000 She has to establish she's different than Joe Biden.

00:14:36.000 I don't think she's doing any of those things.

00:14:38.000 I think she's gonna try and vibes this thing all the way out. 0.97

00:14:40.000 But the problem is we actually just saw that over the last month.

00:14:43.000 We saw her get nothing but the best vibes you could possibly get as a presidential candidate. 1.00

00:14:47.000 And you know what happened?

00:14:48.000 She reverted back to the mean. 0.96

00:14:51.000 She went from heavy momentum, Kamala vibes, Kamala momentum, She went from that to losing to Donald Trump in the New York Times-Siena College Poll the day before the debate. 0.82

00:15:01.000 So, we're just going to get a second round of that.

00:15:03.000 We're going to get vibes, a little bit of a boost, and then within two weeks, she's going to revert back to the mean. 1.00

00:15:07.000 And what you'll end up with is a 50-50 race again.

00:15:10.000 Well, Kamala Harris, they're all saying that she's going to get a big boost.

00:15:13.000 She had this before.

00:15:14.000 She had vibes and vibes and vibes, and then it turns out that she receded back to the mean, because that is inevitable.

00:16:18.000 This is a point made by RFK Jr.

00:16:20.000 the other night.

00:16:21.000 So, you know, you'd imagine Donald Trump is never going to admit that he lost the debate because why would he?

00:16:26.000 So Donald Trump says, no, I won.

00:16:28.000 RFK Jr.

00:16:29.000 was more honest about it.

00:16:29.000 He says, yeah, he lost the debate, but not about governance.

00:16:33.000 You may not like how he conducted himself or what he had to say.

00:16:36.000 You may think that she was smoother, although wildly inauthentic on the stage.

00:16:40.000 In the end, he is a better president than she is a vice president.

00:16:45.000 Here's RFK Jr.

00:16:46.000 explaining.

00:16:48.000 I think that Vice President Harris clearly won the debate in terms of her delivery, her polish, her organization, and her preparation.

00:17:02.000 I think on substance, President Trump wins in terms of his governance.

00:17:11.000 Okay, and that is the thing.

00:17:12.000 That is the thing.

00:17:14.000 And so let's talk about what her governance will look like.

00:17:16.000 I mean, this is what J.D.

00:17:18.000 Vance has been trying to do.

00:17:19.000 I think there are a lot of Republicans who wish that J.D.

00:17:21.000 Vance could have been tag-teamed in, WWE style, in the middle of that debate, so that he could go up against Kamala Harris. 0.81

00:17:27.000 Because Donald Trump, great on the stump, magnetic, charismatic, does not have the sort of lawyerly capacity to break down and stick and move with, you know, informational points.

00:17:37.000 It's just not his thing.

00:17:40.000 With that said, her policies remain a horror show.

00:17:44.000 And her policies are the same as Joe Biden's.

00:17:45.000 So yesterday, for example, she's trotted out all of her tax plans.

00:17:48.000 Her tax plans amount to a massive tax increase. 0.99

00:17:50.000 They do.

00:17:51.000 That's what they are.

00:17:52.000 She wants more, quote-unquote, tax revenue to the federal government. 0.76

00:17:55.000 And she says she's gonna punish corporations. 1.00

00:17:57.000 She says she's gonna punish high earners. 1.00

00:17:59.000 She says she's not gonna raise taxes on people making under $400,000 a year.

00:18:03.000 That is a lie.

00:18:04.000 She will certainly raise taxes on people making under $400,000 a year. 0.99

00:18:08.000 Her inflation has been an absolute punishment to people making under $400,000 a year, that's for sure. 0.99

00:18:14.000 Yesterday, the Biden administration trotted out the head of their National Economic Council, whose name is Lael Brainard, to talk about how their plan is to, quote-unquote, tax the wealthy.

00:18:25.000 This is what you're gonna get, okay?

00:18:26.000 If this is what you want, you should vote for it.

00:18:29.000 But this is what her policy will look like.

00:18:30.000 Not vibes, not hugs, not mama-la.

00:18:33.000 It'll look like high taxation and high regulation.

00:18:37.000 And if you think about it, you know, what is the Congressional Republican plan?

00:18:43.000 You know, a return to Smoot-Hawley tariffs, a massive increase in tax cuts for the wealthy and for the largest corporations that will blow up the deficit and debt by $5 trillion, on some estimates $10 trillion.

00:19:02.000 Versus a vision which is really about lifting the middle class, which is really about making the cost of living more affordable by addressing things like health care costs, housing costs, and which is really about Giving middle class taxpayers a tax cut and making sure that we pay for that by asking the wealthiest people, the largest, most profitable corporations to just pay their fair share so that we can keep our national debt in check.

00:19:36.000 We have tried this before.

00:19:37.000 The idea that Democrats are going to keep the national debt in check is insanity.

00:19:40.000 It's a lie.

00:19:41.000 It's not true.

00:19:42.000 Whenever they talk about how they're going to raise the taxes and this is somehow going to jog the middle class, I would like to ask, how?

00:19:48.000 Really, how?

00:19:49.000 How is raising taxes on the people who pay the middle class going to increase the economic well-being of the middle class?

00:19:56.000 The reality is what middle class people aspire to be is rich.

00:19:59.000 The way that they get rich is by being able to keep more of their money and being paid more and more innovation in the economy.

00:20:05.000 That is how middle class people become wealthy people.

00:20:08.000 I know because I grew up a middle class person and now I am a wealthier person.

00:20:11.000 That is how economic mobility works in the United States.

00:20:14.000 When you free up the markets, there is economic mobility.

00:20:17.000 When you don't free up the markets, there's economic stagnation and everybody gets locked in where they are at best.

00:20:22.000 That is what Kamala Harris is promising. 0.94

00:20:24.000 Increased taxes and increased regulations.

00:20:26.000 And of course, her economic program will basically be Bernie Sanders. 0.97

00:20:29.000 Because the Democratic Party, in 2020, sold out to Bernie Sanders' economic program.

00:20:35.000 It's the most astonishing political move of my lifetime that Joe Biden wins the nomination in 2020 on the basis of not being Bernie Sanders, and then promptly turns around and hands the keys to the car to the drunken socialist.

00:20:45.000 Insane.

00:20:46.000 Here's Bernie Sanders talking about, we're moving toward an oligarchic society.

00:20:50.000 So much oligarchy.

00:20:51.000 What we really need is a government that is oligarchic. 0.98

00:20:53.000 We need people like me, who have never produced a damn thing in my entire life, been a complete leech on the ass of society, receiving taxpayer dollars from the time I was like 20 years old. 0.97

00:21:02.000 We need me as part of the oligarchy. 0.98

00:21:04.000 That's a good oligarchy.

00:21:05.000 A bad oligarchy is when people actually build businesses that succeed.

00:21:10.000 They made this elderly, geriatric, Soviet-style socialist the leader of their ideological economic plan.

00:21:20.000 Here's the message, and it's a message that I know it's difficult for many politicians to bring forth.

00:21:27.000 And that is the recognition that increasingly the United States is moving toward an oligarchic form of society.

00:21:35.000 The economy is very clear what's going on right now.

00:21:37.000 The billionaire class and the 1% have never ever had it so good.

00:21:42.000 End of discussion.

00:21:42.000 Period.

00:21:44.000 More income and wealth inequality than any time in American history.

00:21:49.000 This is all obnoxious, and this is what you're gonna get.

00:21:51.000 Remember, this is all still—Americans know this.

00:21:54.000 They don't want Bernie for president, and they don't want Bernie masquerading as Kamala for president of the United States either.

00:22:00.000 It's not just Kamala Harris's bad policies that are keeping you up at night.

00:22:02.000 It is also the fact that you got those crappy sheets, and you've had them for like five years.

00:22:06.000 The reality is you need comfortable bedding, which is why I've decked out my entire bed with Bulletin Branch.

00:22:10.000 Bulletin Branch product, it is so good.

00:23:04.000 Now part of the debate was trying to grill Trump on very complex policies like, what do you want to do to replace Obamacare?

00:23:10.000 Now the reality is that healthcare in the United States is a mess, it has been a mess for my entire lifetime, and that is because of the perversion of incentives created by employer-based health insurance.

00:23:19.000 Everyone knows this.

00:23:20.000 Because your health insurance is tied to your job, what this means is that when you shift jobs, it's a serious problem to retain your health insurance.

00:23:27.000 For example, the truth is health insurance should be disconnected from your job.

00:23:32.000 You should be paying for it the same way that you do for your car insurance.

00:23:35.000 That would be the way to do it.

00:23:36.000 And you can pool your risk with other people.

00:23:38.000 There are private health insurance companies that actually do this.

00:23:40.000 There are communities that do this.

00:23:42.000 There are lots of solutions that could be implemented.

00:23:44.000 However, Kamala Harris's preferred solution, I know we're all supposed to forget this, her preferred solution is like the UK's National Health Service.

00:23:51.000 She wanted Medicare for all.

00:23:53.000 She wanted to abolish private health care insurance. 1.00

00:23:56.000 She's never been asked why you suddenly changed your mind and you now like private health care insurance.

00:24:02.000 She now says that that's what she wants, right?

00:24:04.000 During the debate, she was asked about this and she just switched her mind.

00:24:07.000 What was amazing is there was never a follow-up from David Muir or Lindsay Davis.

00:24:10.000 What changed your mind?

00:24:12.000 What made you believe that it is now wrong to have an NHS-style health program in the United States?

00:24:18.000 And the answer is she didn't change her mind, she's just lying.

00:24:20.000 In the same way that Barack Obama was lying in 2008 when he said he was against gay marriage, they are lying when they say they do not want nationalized healthcare.

00:24:27.000 Of course they want nationalized healthcare.

00:24:29.000 Of course they do.

00:24:29.000 And by the way, that bankrupts the country.

00:24:31.000 And the health service.

00:24:33.000 You don't have to ask me.

00:24:33.000 You can just go over to Britain and ask the people over there.

00:24:35.000 Headline today from the New York Times.

00:24:37.000 England's health service is in deep trouble, report finds.

00:24:41.000 England's National Health Service, one of the country's most revered institutions, is in critical condition according to a government-commissioned report that cited long waits for treatment, crumbling hospitals, mental health patients in vermin-infested cells, and far fewer MRI scanners than in comparable countries.

00:24:56.000 The hard-hitting review, published late on Wednesday, was commissioned by Britain's new Prime Minister Keir Starmer after he won the general election.

00:25:03.000 The dire state of the NHS was a key reason many people voted for his Labour Party in July, according to polls.

00:25:08.000 But the report underscores the scale of the challenge the government faces to revive a healthcare system that is in a spiral of decline after years of under-investment and administrative meddling, and is still suffering the aftershocks of the pandemic.

00:25:20.000 So their solution is going to be, presumably, to pour more money into the NHS.

00:25:24.000 The problem is, of course, that the UK is bankrupt, in the same way that the United States is effectively bankrupt at this point due to our spending, and Kamala Harris wants to make it more bankrupt. 0.95

00:25:32.000 All these issues are not going away just because Donald Trump had a bad night the other night.

00:25:35.000 They are not.

00:25:36.000 And they are going to re-emerge over time.

00:25:39.000 It is Donald Trump's job and the job of the Trump campaign to put them at the center of this campaign.

00:25:44.000 The same thing is true of illegal immigration.

00:25:46.000 So Donald Trump hammered away at illegal immigration the other night.

00:25:50.000 And Kamala Harris lied about her own immigration record.

00:25:53.000 Everyone is focusing in again about Donald Trump saying the thing about, they're eating the dogs and they're eating the cats in Springfield.

00:26:00.000 Everyone's focusing in on that particular moment because it seemed very weird.

00:26:04.000 The origin of the claim that there were Haitian migrants who were eating pets, the origin of that was based on social media posts.

00:26:12.000 And again, Trump's team is just too online.

00:26:15.000 And get to that in just a moment.

00:26:16.000 They need to get offline.

00:26:17.000 Go touch some grass.

00:26:18.000 Seriously.

00:26:19.000 The American people would love for you to stop hanging around X.com and start hanging around actual voters and talking about the things that they care about in ways they care about it.

00:26:29.000 With that said, is it gonna damage Donald Trump that he said this thing about eating the dogs and eating the cats?

00:26:34.000 The reality is that the underlying issue, which is you cannot inundate a town of 60,000 with 20,000 Haitian migrants who bring along their culture along with their labor And who overcrowd the public systems and overcrowd the housing and change the entire social fabric of a neighborhood. 1.00

00:26:52.000 You can't just do that and expect there to be no disruptions.

00:26:55.000 That, of course, is the point that Trump was trying to make. 0.65

00:26:58.000 And then because it all got hijacked by dumb online discourse, you end up with memes about cats and ducks, which I will admit are hilarious. 0.77

00:27:04.000 I mean, pictures of Donald Trump protecting cats and ducks is inherently funny.

00:27:09.000 It just shouldn't get mentioned in a presidential debate because, again, if it ain't true, you probably shouldn't mention it.

00:27:13.000 Apparently, the origin of the unfounded claim, according to the Washington Post, was a private Facebook group called Springfield, Ohio Crime and Information.

00:27:21.000 A screenshot of a post to the group circulated widely, with an unnamed person claiming the cat of a friend's daughter had been hung from a branch, like you do to a deer for butchering, and they were carving it up to eat.

00:27:30.000 They'd been doing it at Snyder Park with the ducks and the geese, as I was told that last bit by rangers and police.

00:27:35.000 And people posted this, and then it went viral, and then the Springfield Police Division said that was not something on their radar right now, And then people started posting a video of a black woman being arrested for reportedly killing and eating a cat in a driveway, but it turns out that it wasn't actually a person from Haiti and it was also Canton, Ohio.

00:27:53.000 But bottom line is that while the media are focusing in on that, the situation in Springfield, Ohio is serious, just as it is serious in Colorado with Venezuelan gangs.

00:28:04.000 It turns out that vast swaths of illegal immigration is very bad for a society. 0.99

00:28:08.000 Here, for example, is a Springfield, Ohio resident speaking about a Haitian immigrant killing her mother-in-law.

00:28:15.000 Everyone is talking about the death of ducks and cats in this town, but I'd like to talk about the death of one very special person, my mother-in-law, Kathy Heaton.

00:28:24.000 On December 1st, I received a phone call that changed my life forever.

00:28:28.000 She was collecting her trash can from her driveway when a car struck and killed her instantly.

00:28:34.000 A task she had done over 2,000 times spanning four decades in Springfield.

00:28:41.000 That morning, though, a Haitian immigrant was allegedly driving recklessly when he struck and killed her.

00:28:47.000 I say allegedly because to this day, there's been no punishment, not even for the expired tags on the vehicle he was driving.

00:28:56.000 Okay, again, this is the real issue.

00:28:59.000 And Trump may have misstated the issue with a colorful example that probably is not true, but the underlying issue, this has always been the truth about Trump, right?

00:29:08.000 Trump will repeat whatever is the most colorful example of a thing, and then everyone will jump on the colorful example and say it's false, while ignoring the underlying truth, which is that it is a major problem to import 20,000 people from the border And just give them temporary protected status without ever vetting them, without finding out whether they have a criminal past, without finding out whether they have an education, without actually determining what it will do to the social fabric of a town if suddenly, overnight, 25% of the population are just Haitian migrants?

00:29:35.000 Like, that is kind of a problem.

00:29:37.000 While the media are fact-checking Donald Trump on eating dogs and cats, the Harris administration continues to claim that illegal immigration is not a big problem at all.

00:29:45.000 Because they're lying, just like they're lying about not coming after you for taxes.

00:29:48.000 Are you still struggling with back taxes or unfiled returns?

00:29:50.000 Handling this alone can be a huge mistake and cost you thousands of bucks.

00:30:54.000 Get the help you need with Tax Network USA.

00:30:56.000 And the Biden-Harris administration is perfectly sanguine about all of this.

00:31:00.000 Literally yesterday, the Department of Homeland Security head Alejandro Mayorkas was saying that you shouldn't even worry about illegal immigrant crime.

00:31:05.000 Why is this even on our radar?

00:31:07.000 Well, I mean, it's on our radar because it's happening and because you imported 10 million illegal immigrants. 1.00

00:31:11.000 That would be the reason.

00:31:14.000 When you rear a charge that illegal immigration and migrant crime is one of the greatest threats to the country today, you say what?

00:31:20.000 That it's false.

00:31:22.000 That it's false.

00:31:23.000 It's not a major issue.

00:31:24.000 Okay, well, here's the thing.

00:31:24.000 Not.

00:31:25.000 I think a lot of Americans think it is a major issue.

00:31:28.000 And the reason I say that is because every poll shows they think that it is a major issue.

00:31:32.000 One of the other aspects of Kamala Harris' record is that her insane leftism in 2019-2020, it's so unbelievable that people literally refused to believe a thing that Trump said that was 100% true in the middle of the debate.

00:31:44.000 So in the middle of the debate, Donald Trump said, you are fine, you want taxpayers to fund transgendering of minors of minors in prison.

00:31:55.000 And everyone's like, what?

00:31:56.000 She did her fake laugh. 0.67

00:31:58.000 She did the double take, right?

00:32:00.000 Here is the problem.

00:32:01.000 She is and she was.

00:32:04.000 Time Magazine had to issue an entire correction based on this.

00:32:08.000 So Trump said during Tuesday night's presidential debate, quote, That's true.

00:32:11.000 She went out in Minnesota and wanted to let criminals that killed people, that burned 1.00

00:32:14.000 down Minneapolis, she went out and raised money to get them out of jail.

00:32:17.000 That's true.

00:32:18.000 She did things nobody would ever think of.

00:32:19.000 Now she wants to do transgender operations on illegal aliens that are in prison. 1.00

00:32:22.000 This is a radical left liberal that would do this.

00:32:25.000 That is true.

00:32:26.000 In 2019, she said on an ACLU questionnaire that she would support taxpayer-funded gender transition surgeries for detained migrants.

00:32:35.000 So Time magazine then said, the former president falsely claimed

00:32:38.000 that Harris wants to do transgender operations on illegal aliens in prison.

00:32:42.000 Well, then Time actually had to issue a correction because it turns out that that insane policy

00:32:48.000 was indeed Kamala Harris's policies. 0.99

00:32:49.000 quote, the original version of this story, mischaracterized as false Donald Trump's statement

00:32:54.000 accusing Kamala Harris of supporting transgender operations on illegal aliens in prison.

00:32:59.000 As a presidential candidate in 2019, Harris filled out a questionnaire saying she supported

00:33:03.000 taxpayer funded gender transition treatment In other words, her position was so insane that even Time Magazine was like, that can't be real. 1.00

00:33:10.000 Trump has to be lying.

00:33:11.000 But he wasn't.

00:33:12.000 It was true. 0.75

00:33:13.000 In fact, here is Kamala Harris talking about the magic of transing the president.

00:33:17.000 It was, by the way, because she took this position that she was endorsed in 2019 by the Human Rights Council, which is a far-left, pro-LGBTQ plus minus divided by sign organization.

00:33:29.000 Here she was explaining the position in 2019.

00:33:33.000 That they were standing in the way of surgery.

00:33:36.000 For prisoners.

00:33:38.000 For prisoners.

00:33:39.000 And there was a specific case.

00:33:41.000 And when I learned about the case, I worked behind the scenes to not only make sure that that transgender woman got the services she was deserving.

00:33:50.000 So it wasn't only about that case.

00:33:52.000 I made sure that they changed the policy in the state of California so that every transgender That didn't go away. 0.78

00:34:00.000 That didn't go away.

00:34:01.000 would have access to the medical care that they desired and need.

00:34:06.000 And I believe it was not only, I know it was historic in California, but I believe actually

00:34:10.000 it may have been one of the first, if not the first in the country, where I pushed for

00:34:14.000 that policy in a Department of Correction.

00:34:18.000 That didn't go away.

00:34:20.000 That didn't go away.

00:34:21.000 It didn't go away.

00:34:23.000 And that will be an issue.

00:34:24.000 Again, there will be ads all over the place.

00:34:26.000 You will see them about Kamala Harris's positions from now until the election.

00:34:29.000 The date today is September 12th.

00:34:31.000 The election is not for 54 more days.

00:34:34.000 This notion that it's all settled and over.

00:34:36.000 No, it isn't.

00:34:37.000 Again, she will get another vibes.

00:34:40.000 Gas in the tank.

00:34:41.000 There'll be another round of vibes.

00:34:43.000 But I do think that the more you keep going back to the vibes well, the more you're avoiding the core issue, which is that she is too far left for the American population. 0.77

00:34:52.000 That her entire party is too far left for the American population.

00:34:56.000 And again, Trump failed, signaling in the debate, to make that clear in a cohesive and coherent way.

00:35:02.000 That doesn't mean that he can't now.

00:35:05.000 That doesn't mean he can't now.

00:35:06.000 This administration, on a day-to-day level, continues to promote and promulgate some of the worst policy ever seen in the United States.

00:35:14.000 With regard to Afghanistan, yesterday, breaking news, on the anniversary of 9-11, White House National Security Council Communications Advisor John Kirby dismissed the concerns of military veterans critical of the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, writing in response to a Fox News Digital press inquiry that there's no use weighing in on the veterans' views.

00:35:32.000 He said, obviously, no use in responding.

00:35:34.000 A handful of vets, indeed, and all of one stripe.

00:35:37.000 He said it accidentally as a reply all to an email chain that included Fox News Digital.

00:35:41.000 Fox News Digital had reached out to the White House earlier on Wednesday afternoon regarding critical comments from four veterans, including Representative Cory Mills of Florida, who blasted Kirby for his Monday press conference that said they provided cover for Biden's administration's 2021 withdrawal.

00:35:55.000 Again, this is one of the areas where, frankly, I was frustrated with President Trump's response.

00:35:59.000 She was asked if she had any regrets about Afghanistan.

00:36:02.000 And she then said no.

00:36:04.000 And Donald Trump got distracted by discussion about his own negotiations with the Taliban.

00:36:08.000 Every time he was given the opportunity to smack her, instead, he just followed the rabbit of, I want to talk about my own policy, which is really just bad debating strategy.

00:36:17.000 President Trump should have immediately turned and he should have said the thing that's true and that he himself has said before.

00:36:22.000 You are responsible for this.

00:36:24.000 You claim that you are the queen of empathy.

00:36:26.000 You're an empathetic candidate.

00:36:28.000 Your vibes and hugs and mamala. 0.99

00:36:30.000 You don't give a damn about the 19 million women who are stuffed back into bags kept from school because you pulled out like a coward. 1.00

00:36:36.000 You don't give a damn about the families of the 13 American service people who were murdered because of your garbage Afghanistan policy. 0.99

00:36:42.000 You don't care that you handed over billions of dollars in weapons, American made military weapons to the Taliban. 0.99

00:36:49.000 You don't care about any of those things.

00:36:50.000 You're over here patting yourself on the back.

00:36:52.000 And meanwhile, tens of thousands of Afghans who worked with the United States have either been

00:36:57.000 or imprisoned by the Taliban.

00:36:59.000 And you don't care. 0.94

00:37:01.000 You don't give a damn. 0.85

00:37:04.000 I mean, there's so many things. 0.68

00:37:04.000 I wish he had said that. 0.68

00:37:05.000 Again, it's a missed opportunity, but the election's not over.

00:37:09.000 Now's the opportunity to say all of those things, and he should be saying all of those things, and I think he will say all of those things in just a second.

00:37:15.000 We'll get to the angle of the Trump campaign and how they need to be more disciplined, what that would start to look like.

00:37:21.000 We'll get to that in just one second.

00:37:23.000 First, this is it.

00:37:24.000 Tomorrow, our first ever theatrical release, Am I Racist?

00:37:27.000 hits theaters nationwide.

00:37:28.000 Listen closely.

00:37:29.000 The only way to see the film is in a movie theater starting tomorrow.

00:37:32.000 Go to amiracist.com right now, type in your city or zip code, find your local theater, grab your tickets for this weekend.

00:37:38.000 You, your friends, your family, absolutely crucial.

00:37:41.000 You show up this opening weekend, help us dominate the box office.

00:37:48.000 Meanwhile, the Trump campaign, they do need to actually get more discipline.

00:37:52.000 I know.

00:37:53.000 Critiques of Trump in many quarters are seen as some sort of element of disloyalty.

00:37:57.000 It's the opposite.

00:37:58.000 It's the opposite.

00:37:59.000 It's not about loyalty or disloyalty.

00:38:01.000 Donald Trump owes it to the American people to campaign like a pro because the American people do not deserve common lawyers.

00:38:07.000 As president of the United States.

00:38:08.000 And Trump has every advantage.

00:38:10.000 He has the positional advantage.

00:38:11.000 He has the fact that she actually is a bad candidate.

00:38:13.000 I know we've all forgotten this.

00:38:14.000 She's not a good candidate. 1.00

00:38:15.000 She can string together a good debate. 0.99

00:38:17.000 She did it in 2019.

00:38:18.000 Her very first debate was good.

00:38:20.000 If you remember, she debated Joe Biden.

00:38:22.000 She had a big boost in the polls. 0.82

00:38:23.000 And then she immediately fell apart.

00:38:26.000 That means he has to be disciplined.

00:38:27.000 One element of that discipline would be getting offline.

00:38:30.000 Seriously, get offline.

00:38:31.000 Talk about the kitchen table issues Americans care about. 1.00

00:38:34.000 Talk about the economy.

00:38:35.000 Talk about inflation.

00:38:36.000 Don't get caught up in the memery.

00:38:38.000 Don't get caught up in the trollery.

00:38:40.000 I understand that many of his most ardent supporters love that kind of stuff.

00:38:43.000 They're already voting for you, Mr. President.

00:38:45.000 They already are.

00:38:47.000 One element of this is that he currently has a person named Laura Loomer who has been joining him on the campaign trail.

00:38:53.000 And the media are just having a field day with this, of course, because Laura Loomer tends to tweet nutty things. 1.00

00:38:57.000 So, for example, just the other day, Laura Loomer tweeted, quote, If Kamala Harris wins, the White House will smell like curry and White House speeches will be facilitated via a call center.

00:39:06.000 Because, of course, she is of Indian-American extraction. 0.73

00:39:10.000 She's of Indian extraction.

00:39:11.000 Mom was an immigrant.

00:39:12.000 Okay, from India.

00:39:13.000 And her dad was black.

00:39:15.000 So, Here is the thing.

00:39:18.000 Is that useful?

00:39:19.000 Is that useful to the Trump campaign?

00:39:22.000 All the media wish to do from now until the election is vibe Kamala Harris and hit Donald Trump with every shiny object they can find.

00:39:30.000 Frying pans, spatulas, egg beaters, it doesn't matter.

00:39:34.000 Anything they can find to hit him with, they will.

00:39:37.000 Why give them the ammo?

00:39:39.000 Is Laura Loomer really that great at debate prep? 0.98

00:39:39.000 Why? 0.98

00:39:42.000 Given the performance the other night, I would suggest probably not.

00:39:46.000 I understand that Donald Trump has people who really, the more they love him, he somehow will use them as sort of a security blanket sometimes, having them around him.

00:39:54.000 But he doesn't need that.

00:39:55.000 He's the former president of the United States.

00:39:58.000 He's one of the most powerful people in the world.

00:40:00.000 He certainly has the confidence to be able to say to his own advisors, if he disagrees with them, I disagree with you.

00:40:05.000 He does it all the time.

00:40:07.000 He needs to surround himself with people who are going to give him good advice.

00:40:11.000 You know, advice that doesn't involve the memery or the trollery or whatever he's posting on Truth Social today.

00:40:17.000 There are a lot of people who say none of that matters.

00:40:18.000 And it doesn't, but it does at the margin.

00:40:20.000 Everything matters at the margin.

00:40:23.000 This is why it actually matters what the candidates do and do not do from here through election day.

00:40:30.000 It's why I promise you it's going to be a big distraction at the vice presidential debate October 1st.

00:40:34.000 I promise you the number one issue Tim Walz is going to hit J.D.

00:40:37.000 Vance with is his association with Tucker Carlson because Tucker had the foolish idea of putting on air a pseudo-historian who pushed a bunch of Nazi apologist propaganda about World War II. 1.00

00:40:49.000 Like, that was stupid. 1.00

00:40:50.000 It was stupid. 1.00

00:40:51.000 There's no reason to do these things. 1.00

00:40:53.000 There's no reason.

00:40:54.000 Because again, this election is going to be won directly at the margins.

00:40:58.000 Everybody says nothing matters, and statistically it doesn't.

00:41:02.000 Nate Silver points out, 96% of the American population who's going to vote already made up their minds.

00:41:06.000 It's going to come down to the 4%.

00:41:08.000 What does that mean?

00:41:08.000 That means maybe 30,000 votes in North Carolina.

00:41:11.000 It means maybe 20,000 votes in Georgia.

00:41:13.000 It means perhaps 20,000 votes in Arizona.

00:41:15.000 40,000 votes in Wisconsin.

00:41:17.000 It means 80,000 votes in Michigan and 100,000 votes in Pennsylvania.

00:41:20.000 The entire election is going to come down to those kinds of numbers.

00:41:23.000 And so failures at the margin, because you're more comfortable with having somebody who's pretty fringy hanging around with you, that is bad strategy.

00:41:30.000 It's just bad strategy!

00:41:31.000 There's no reason to do it.

00:41:34.000 This needs to be a disciplined campaign.

00:41:35.000 By the way, I'm not the only one calling this out.

00:41:37.000 Marjorie Taylor Greene, of all people, is calling this out.

00:41:40.000 Suddenly the voice of reason in the Republican Party.

00:41:42.000 So Marjorie Taylor Greene put out a tweet, quote, This is appalling, is about the Laura Loomer tweet.

00:41:46.000 This is appalling and extremely racist.

00:41:47.000 It does not represent who we are as Republicans or MAGA.

00:41:50.000 This does not represent President Trump.

00:41:52.000 This type of behavior should not be tolerated ever.

00:41:54.000 Laura Loomer should take this down. 1.00

00:41:56.000 Loomer then fired back and called Greene a raging anti-Semite and claimed her post was a funny joke about Kamala Harris using her Indian mom as a way to dodge questions. 0.98

00:42:04.000 Yeah, like... And of course, the media are willing to jump on all this.

00:42:08.000 And you can say it's unfair for the media to focus in on all this stuff.

00:42:11.000 After all, Kamala Harris surrounds herself with some of the most radical people in American politics. 0.93

00:42:16.000 Except that they are considered mainstream.

00:42:18.000 Ranging from the Ilhan Omars and Alexandra Ocasio-Cortezes, to her Jewish liaison who's radically anti-Israel, to her Arab liaison who's also radically anti-Israel.

00:42:25.000 Like, she surrounds herself with nutjobs, Kamala Harris, all day long.

00:42:29.000 But that's not the point.

00:42:31.000 Obviously, all fire from the media trained on Donald Trump right now.

00:42:34.000 All of it.

00:42:35.000 And it's unfair.

00:42:36.000 And it's ugly.

00:42:37.000 And it's gross. 0.85

00:42:38.000 I agree.

00:42:40.000 Why provide vulnerabilities?

00:42:42.000 Why?

00:42:42.000 This is a bad strategy.

00:42:43.000 Don't provide vulnerabilities to a group of people who are seeking your demise.

00:42:49.000 Okay, meanwhile, yesterday was 9-11.

00:42:51.000 And weirdly, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump and Joe Biden and J.D.

00:42:57.000 Vance all attended the same 9-11 service.

00:43:00.000 Here are some photos of what that looked like.

00:43:03.000 You can see here that they're all standing side by side.

00:43:05.000 Mayor Bloomberg is in the middle because, of course, Mayor Bloomberg was not actually the mayor on 9-11.

00:43:11.000 It was Rudy Giuliani who was the mayor on 9-11.

00:43:13.000 There is Trump shaking Kamala Harris's hand.

00:43:15.000 Joe Biden is there in the middle.

00:43:18.000 You see, everybody's pretty friendly, everybody's being pretty nice to one another, and I think that that's great.

00:43:23.000 I do.

00:43:23.000 I think that it's good for Republicans and Democrats to treat each other like human beings.

00:43:27.000 In fact, yesterday, Joe Biden did perhaps the only charming thing I've ever seen him do as President of the United States.

00:43:32.000 Yesterday, he was visiting in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and he ended up in an area that is wildly pro-Trump.

00:43:38.000 And there was an older gentleman there, who's a big Trump fan, who then said to Joe Biden, started making fun of him, called him an old fart, and Joe Biden kind of went back at him.

00:43:48.000 And then the guy said, well, you know, I'll respect you more if you put on a Trump hat.

00:43:51.000 And so Biden did.

00:43:53.000 Biden put on the Trump hat.

00:43:54.000 Here's a bit of what that looked like.

00:43:56.000 I need that hat.

00:43:58.000 Want my autograph?

00:44:00.000 Hell no.

00:44:02.000 You know my name.

00:44:04.000 Come on.

00:44:06.000 I ain't going that far.

00:44:08.000 Yeah.

00:44:10.000 There you go.

00:44:12.000 Yeah.

00:44:14.000 Yeah.

00:44:16.000 Okay, and then there's a big round of applause and biting smiles.

00:44:18.000 I'm proud of you now.

00:44:20.000 I'm telling you now.

00:44:22.000 And the older gentleman says to Biden, I'm proud of you now.

00:44:25.000 Now again, that's funny and that's charming.

00:44:27.000 Okay, it is.

00:44:28.000 Here is my only problem with it.

00:44:30.000 It's all fake.

00:44:31.000 And the reason I say that is because there used to be a time in American politics where people would do this sort of stuff sort of routinely.

00:44:39.000 Yes, I think my political opponent's wrong.

00:44:41.000 Yes, I think the things that they want for the country are bad.

00:44:44.000 Also, we're fellow Americans, and what you sense, this is the same, you know, Joe Biden is there, he's putting on the Trump hat in order to please the crowd or whatever.

00:44:52.000 This is the same person who said that Donald Trump is basically a domestic insurrectionist who wants to destroy the country and probably ought to be in jail.

00:45:00.000 And this is the part undergirding all of this that really is troubling to me.

00:45:05.000 If you want to get back to an America that has some sense of solidarity, you do need stuff like this, but it needs to be actually felt.

00:45:10.000 Not that Joe Biden would ever vote for Donald Trump or that Donald Trump would ever vote for Joe Biden or that I would ever vote for Joe Biden or anything like that.

00:45:17.000 But if you're going to get back to a sense of social fabric and solidarity, there has to be the idea that simply voting for the other guy doesn't make you evil.

00:45:23.000 And I don't think that Joe Biden actually believes that.

00:45:26.000 I think Joe Biden in the moment It sort of allowed the unity of the moment to overwhelm him.

00:45:32.000 But I don't think Democrats actually believe that.

00:45:33.000 And that is a huge problem. 1.00

00:45:35.000 By every poll for my entire lifetime, the general feeling of Republicans for Democrats is that they are wrong and stupid. 1.00

00:45:40.000 And the general feeling about Democrats with regard to Republicans is not that they're wrong or stupid. 1.00

00:45:44.000 It's that they're vicious, evil, terrible people. 1.00

00:45:49.000 And that asymmetry has led to this current moment. 0.94

00:45:52.000 Because at a certain point, if you get called evil and terrible and vicious and horrifying, then you're going to turn around and say, well, you keep calling me that because you are evil.

00:46:01.000 You're vicious and horri- It's not just you're wrong. 0.95

00:46:01.000 You're wrong. 0.95

00:46:03.000 You're also- You call me evil, maybe it's because you're evil. 1.00

00:46:03.000 You're evil. 1.00

00:46:07.000 You know, these sorts of scenes of unity, they have a sort of nostalgic feeling about them.

00:46:12.000 Because we're now beyond that.

00:46:14.000 The only way to get back to some sense of normality is the kind of thing that Biden did, but not, it can't be, it has to be more than that.

00:46:20.000 It has to be not making speeches in which you declare that your political opposition is the enemy of the American people who wants to destroy the republic.

00:46:26.000 Particularly when it's not true.

00:46:28.000 Joe Biden knows better than that.

00:46:30.000 Because let's put it this way, if Joe Biden truly believed about Donald Trump what he says he believes about Donald Trump, which is that Donald Trump is basically Hitler without the mustache, do you think he'd put on a swastika hat?

00:46:39.000 Do you think that he would put on a Donald Trump hat if he thought that Donald Trump was seriously going to overthrow the republic?

00:46:39.000 Of course not.

00:46:43.000 Of course not.

00:46:44.000 It shows it's all a lie.

00:46:46.000 It shows it is all, every part of it, a lie.

00:46:48.000 And it has been a lie, which is why you shouldn't fall for it.

00:46:51.000 I don't think the American people will.

00:46:53.000 Meanwhile, America's racial reckoning apparently hasn't ended.

00:46:56.000 By racial reckoning, I mean everybody talking about race all the time for no apparent reason.

00:47:00.000 The latest iteration of this, because the demand in the media exceeds the supply when it comes to racism.

00:47:05.000 The media want racism.

00:47:06.000 They want talk about how America is deeply racist.

00:47:09.000 They'll find incidents that are clearly not racist, and then they will treat them as though they are racist.

00:47:13.000 The latest iteration of this is Tyreek Hill.

00:47:15.000 So Tyreek Hill is a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins.

00:47:19.000 And right before the game on Sunday, he was briefly detained by police.

00:47:24.000 Now, this detention is Tyree Kill's fault.

00:47:28.000 It is.

00:47:29.000 All he had to do was obey the officers.

00:47:31.000 That's all he had to do. 0.99

00:47:32.000 He didn't obey the officers, he was being a jackass, and so he was taken out of the car and put on the ground. 0.93

00:47:37.000 Now, I'll also remind you that the exact same thing happened to Scotty Scheffler, the PGA Tour golfer. 0.97

00:47:42.000 The exact same thing happened to him, much more unjustifiably, and Scotty Scheffler happens to be white.

00:47:47.000 So, multiple things can be true.

00:47:49.000 One, some cops can be over-aggressive.

00:47:51.000 That happens sometimes.

00:47:52.000 Two, this is actually Tyree Kill's fault.

00:47:54.000 So here is some of the body cam footage.

00:47:56.000 And as we'll see, this turned into a big discussion about race, and as always, as always, here's the actual footage.

00:48:05.000 Hey, don't knock on my window like that.

00:48:06.000 As you can see, Tyree Kill is pulled over.

00:48:07.000 Why don't you have your seatbelt on?

00:48:08.000 By a motorcycle cop.

00:48:09.000 He rolls down his window.

00:48:10.000 Don't knock on my window like that, no.

00:48:10.000 Why don't you have your seatbelt on?

00:48:12.000 Don't knock on my window like that.

00:48:12.000 Like what?

00:48:13.000 Why you have it up?

00:48:15.000 Don't knock on my window like that.

00:48:16.000 I have to knock to let you know I'm here.

00:48:16.000 Why you have it up?

00:48:18.000 That way I can lower it and talk to you.

00:48:19.000 Just get my ticket, bro, so I can go.

00:48:20.000 I'm finna be late, gang.

00:48:22.000 Do what you gotta do.

00:48:26.000 Keep it down.

00:48:27.000 Hey! 0.99

00:48:29.000 Keep your window down!

00:48:30.000 He rolls his window back up.

00:48:31.000 The cop knocks on the window again.

00:48:33.000 Keep your window down, I'm gonna get you out of the car.

00:48:34.000 He starts yelling.

00:48:35.000 He starts yelling at the cop.

00:48:36.000 Get out of the car.

00:48:37.000 He rolls it down a little bit to talk to him, and then he refuses to lower the window.

00:48:41.000 Get out of the car right now.

00:48:43.000 We're not playing this game.

00:48:44.000 Get out! 0.98

00:49:07.000 Get And then he rolls his window back up in the middle of a conversation with the cop.

00:49:13.000 And the cop knocks on his window again, and he refuses to roll down the window.

00:49:16.000 Then he rolls it down like a crack.

00:49:19.000 And the cop's like, that's not how this works.

00:49:21.000 So Tyree Kill's immediate response to this is that the officer who detained him should be fired.

00:49:27.000 So first of all, we don't know the identity of the cop so far.

00:49:30.000 If I had to guess from the accent, that cop is probably Hispanic.

00:49:33.000 Huge number of Hispanic cops in South Florida, of course.

00:49:36.000 Huge Hispanic population.

00:49:39.000 Cubans, and Venezuelans, and Puerto Ricans, and Dominicans, like what?

00:49:43.000 So, I really doubt this is like white-on-black racism because it doesn't sound like the cop in this particular case is actually white.

00:49:49.000 But, even if the cop were white, this is Tyreek Hill's fault!

00:49:53.000 I'm sorry, roll down your window!

00:49:54.000 Everyone knows this.

00:49:55.000 When you get pulled over by a cop, white, black, or green, you put your hands on the wheel and you roll down the window.

00:49:59.000 That's what you do.

00:50:01.000 It's not exactly like rocket science.

00:50:04.000 So according to the Wall Street Journal, Hill said at a press conference, he's got to go, man.

00:50:10.000 He said he's got to go, because in that instant right there, not only did he treat me bad, he also treated my teammates with disrespect.

00:50:16.000 Did he?

00:50:16.000 Really?

00:50:17.000 Did he treat, like, Tua, the Miami quarterback, did he treat him with disrespect somehow?

00:50:25.000 He said he should have let his window down and handled the interaction differently.

00:50:27.000 He said, I could have been better.

00:50:29.000 He said, at the end of the day, I'm human.

00:50:30.000 I have to follow rules.

00:50:31.000 I gotta do what everyone else would do.

00:50:32.000 Now, does that give them the right to literally beat the dog out of me?

00:50:35.000 They didn't beat the dog out of you, dude.

00:50:37.000 You played that day.

00:50:38.000 Ay-ay-ay-ay-ay.

00:50:42.000 Hill yelled repeatedly he had just had knee surgery.

00:50:45.000 He said Wednesday that he had stem cells injected during a minor procedure.

00:50:48.000 So, it wasn't even true he had knee surgery.

00:50:51.000 His lawyer said the officer who led the traffic stop put his hands on Hill's neck at least twice and put his knee on Hill's back.

00:50:57.000 He said, we are of the opinion the officer's use of force was excessive, escalating, and reckless.

00:51:01.000 He then scored a touchdown in the same day.

00:51:03.000 So clearly, brutally, viciously injured by the cop. 1.00

00:51:08.000 Ugh, it's so tiresome and it is so stupid. 1.00

00:51:11.000 Be a reasonable, rational human being with the cops. 1.00

00:51:11.000 Again, how about this? 1.00

00:51:14.000 And there is like a 98% chance that everything will go just fine.

00:51:18.000 And no, the cops shouldn't be fired. 0.99

00:51:20.000 Ridiculous. 0.85

00:51:21.000 Okay, in just one second, we're gonna get to the civilizational crisis of a huge number of people deciding they don't want to have kids because it's warm outside. 0.69

00:51:41.000 Growing up, I never thought much about race. 0.95

00:51:42.000 It never really seemed to matter that much, at least not to me.

00:51:45.000 Am I racist?

00:51:46.000 I would really appreciate it if you left.

00:51:48.000 I'm trying to learn.

00:51:48.000 I'm on this journey.

00:52:05.000 The word inherent is challenging there.

00:52:07.000 You want to rename the George Washington Monument to the George Floyd Monument?

00:52:10.000 America is racist to its bones.

00:52:12.000 So inherently? 0.99

00:53:02.000 Every time you connect to an unencrypted network, cafes, hotels, airports, you name it, any hacker on the same network can gain access to and steal your personal data.

00:53:09.000 Here's the kicker, it doesn't take a tech genius to do this.

00:53:11.000 This is hardware so cheap a smart 12-year-old could pull it off.

00:53:14.000 Your data is valuable.

00:53:16.000 Hackers can make up to a thousand bucks per person selling personal information on the dark web, which is why I use ExpressVPN.

00:53:21.000 It's a game changer.

00:53:22.000 Just this week I was at the airport.

00:53:23.000 I needed to connect to their Wi-Fi to check email, so I fired up ExpressVPN.

00:53:26.000 Boom! 0.99

00:53:39.000 It's really easy to use.
