00:01:34.000 Get started right now.
00:01:36.000 PolicyGenius, when it comes to insurance, it's nice and quite important to get it right.
00:01:39.000 Alrighty, so the panic is out there.
00:01:41.000 People are panicked.
00:01:42.000 It's all over.
00:01:43.000 Delta is just like, it's like a brand new virus.
00:01:46.000 We're never going back to normal.
00:01:48.000 Everybody freak out.
00:01:49.000 Except don't freak out.
00:01:51.000 And the reason I say not to freak out is because the stats say that you really should not freak out.
00:01:54.000 And they say that for a couple of reasons.
00:01:56.000 If you look at the United States COVID deaths right now, Day on day, they continue to maintain in somewhere in the 300 to 400 range in terms of seven day rolling average of death in the United States.
00:02:08.000 According to the New York Times, the seven day rolling average as of today is 362.
00:02:13.000 Once again, about 320 people every day die of Alzheimer's in the United States.
00:02:16.000 About 1800 people in the United States die of heart disease every day.
00:02:20.000 At the height of the pandemic for the 1,000th time, we are in the 3,000 number, 3 to 4,000 a day dying.
00:02:26.000 We've now lowered that mark by about tenfold.
00:02:30.000 And yet everyone is still telling you that you ought to panic and you never cease panicking.
00:02:34.000 We should freak out.
00:02:35.000 Just keep freaking out forever.
00:02:37.000 Now, here is your quick reminder.
00:02:39.000 If you are vaccinated, you certainly should not be freaking out at this point.
00:02:42.000 You should not be coming close to freaking out at this point.
00:02:45.000 Mark Levine, who is one of the New York City council members, very hawkish on shutdowns, was promulgating, I would say, bad information during the early days of the pandemic.
00:02:55.000 Well, Mark Levine, he tweeted out earlier, and this is correct, among 165 million Americans who have been vaccinated, 99.9% have not tested positive. 0.004% have been hospitalized. 0.001% have died. This is correct.
00:03:11.000 If you are vaccinated, the chances that you're going to die from this thing are exorbitantly low.
00:03:15.000 Very, very low.
00:03:16.000 And in any case, the reality is that the Delta spike that we are seeing right now, which is real, that Delta spike has been mirrored in other countries.
00:03:24.000 And what we have seen in other countries, the spike goes away after a couple of weeks.
00:03:27.000 In the United Kingdom, for example.
00:03:30.000 The British COVID-19 cases are down by 33% over the past week, according to Reuters.
00:03:34.000 Quote, Britain has reported 26,144 new cases of COVID-19, government data showed on Saturday, meaning the fall in cases between July 25th and July 31st stood at 33% compared with the previous seven days. A further 71 people were reported as having died within 28 days of a positive test for COVID-19, which means that there's been a slight increase in death, but nothing that you would freak out about to the extent of shutting things down or forcing mask mandates on anyone.
00:04:01.000 And meanwhile, over at the New York Magazine, David Wallace-Wells, who again is not a right-winger, writes, The most hopeful and encouraging facts about the Delta surge are even harder to find in the media coverage.
00:04:10.000 The first is that, thanks to widespread vaccination of the elderly, However fast this disease spreads, it will ultimately inflict a much, much smaller death toll than earlier waves, because vaccination has probably eliminated 90% or more of the country's total COVID-19 mortality risk.
00:04:23.000 Over the weekend, we had 90% of people in the United States above the age of 65 who were vaccinated.
00:04:28.000 That is the subgroup most likely to die from COVID.
00:04:31.000 So while you are seeing much higher numbers of hospitalizations, hospitalizations in this case, they do not result in death in the same way that they did in January, when a lot of the people who were going to the hospital were much older and much sicker to begin with.
00:04:43.000 Right now you're seeing a lot of people who are hospitalized between the ages of 20 and 40.
00:04:46.000 That's not good.
00:04:47.000 But the ratio of those people to the number of people who are going to die is a much smaller number.
00:04:52.000 It's a much smaller number in terms of the number of people who are going to die out of the number hospitalized now than it was back in January.
00:04:59.000 Also, as David Wallace-Wells points out, in the countries with roughly comparable vaccination rates to the United States, the surge has already peaked and begun a rapid decline, suggesting that such a turn here is possible or even quite likely within a few weeks.
00:05:11.000 In the UK, the Delta surge began in mid-May and peaked in mid-July.
00:05:14.000 In the Netherlands, it began at the beginning of July and has already peaked.
00:05:17.000 If the US followed the British trajectory, our Delta surge, which began about a month ago, would peak by September 1st.
00:05:22.000 If it followed the Dutch course, even sooner, perhaps even imminently.
00:05:25.000 And while there still may be some rise in deaths in both the UK and the Netherlands, given the lag between infection and ultimate outcomes, in neither country have deaths reached even one-fifteenth of the level of the local winter surge.
00:05:35.000 In the UK, they had almost as many new daily cases as they had had in January, in the Netherlands even more.
00:05:40.000 So in other words, when people show you these stats from Florida, where you're seeing, like, record new cases, yes, that is among young and healthy people, which means that a subset of those people will be hospitalized, a much smaller subset than it was when they were older and sicker, and a smaller subset of those people will die.
00:05:56.000 So right now, when you look at Florida and its big numbers, you're seeing the media prop up the narrative, by the way, that Florida is the worst place on earth.
00:06:04.000 Everyone is dying in Florida.
00:06:06.000 I'm looking at the Florida death stats right now, and the Florida death stats continue to be a little bit higher than they were, but the seven-day rolling average right now is 58.
00:06:15.000 At the height of this pandemic, the seven-day rolling average, this is back in both August and also in January, the seven-day rolling average was like 250.
00:06:23.000 So the rolling death rate right now is about one quarter to one fifth of what it was at the height of the pandemic.
00:06:29.000 And it is also likely that we are already seeing many states peak.
00:06:33.000 So what you're starting to see is all the people who are proclaiming mask mandates are going to claim early credit for lowering the curve or for the numbers peaking.
00:06:44.000 We're already starting to see a peak apparently.
00:06:47.000 Right now you can check out the charts and what you'll see is that state on state, for example, in Missouri, you've already seen the R peak.
00:06:53.000 R is the number of people who are being infected by each person who has COVID.
00:06:57.000 It already peaked like a couple of days ago in Missouri, in Nevada, in Alabama, in Florida.
00:07:06.000 If Florida is reaching its peak right now, it's already starting to level off, which means that in pretty short order, just hold your horses, guys, in a couple of weeks, the Delta variant peak is probably going to be over, at least in the states that have already had it.
00:07:20.000 Now, you may see another Delta variant peak in areas like New York.
00:07:23.000 Why?
00:07:24.000 Well, one of the reasons is because in Florida right now, it is extremely hot.
00:07:27.000 It's like 95 degrees and very humid.
00:07:30.000 Everybody is going indoors.
00:07:31.000 We saw this last summer also.
00:07:32.000 Remember the summer of panic last summer?
00:07:34.000 Everyone in Florida's gonna die!
00:07:35.000 Look at the terrible numbers!
00:07:37.000 Georgia!
00:07:37.000 Texas!
00:07:38.000 Florida!
00:07:39.000 And yes, California, because California is really hot right now.
00:07:42.000 And then what we're likely to see as winter sets in, is we're likely to see the numbers go way down in Florida, because everybody goes outside in Florida, because it's really nice, like 75 degrees and breezy.
00:07:51.000 And then in New York, where it gets really cold, people are likely to go inside.
00:07:53.000 And this is likely to be the case for quite a while, because if COVID is still out there, when people are indoors transmitting it to each other, then likely, Those people are going to be in areas where they're indoors more often.
00:08:04.000 In Florida, nobody's outdoors right now because it's way too hot.
00:08:07.000 But in New York, everybody is outdoors because it's actually much nicer in New York right now.
00:08:12.000 None of this ought to be a shock.
00:08:13.000 In other words, nothing is new.
00:08:17.000 The situation you are seeing right now is that the virus is just more transmissible.
00:08:21.000 That's all.
00:08:22.000 Should this scare the hell out of you?
00:08:24.000 Listen, you should be more scared than you were earlier, before Delta, if you're unvaccinated, because you're more likely to catch it now.
00:08:31.000 Before, it seemed like there were three options.
00:08:32.000 The three options were get vaccinated, don't get vaccinated and don't get COVID, or don't get vaccinated and get COVID.
00:08:39.000 Now, the second option has been removed.
00:08:41.000 So basically, you're going to get COVID or you're going to get the vaccine.
00:08:43.000 Immunity comes one of two ways.
00:08:45.000 That is the likely possibility right now.
00:08:47.000 But what you're seeing from the media is outsized panic that is unjustifiable because they are attempting to push national mask mandates and renewed lockdowns.
00:08:54.000 And also to blame again, the blame of like the media want this.
00:08:58.000 They desperately want this.
00:09:00.000 Again, the number of cases, COVID-19 cases in Britain already spiked and it's already on the downslope.
00:09:05.000 And yet you're still seeing pieces from CNBC saying things like health experts fear unlocked England could become an incubator for new COVID variants.
00:09:13.000 Again, so long as COVID exists on the planet, there will be the possibility of new variants of COVID.
00:09:18.000 Just like every year, there are new variants of the flu.
00:09:20.000 This is why the flu vaccine, by the way, is not nearly as effective as the COVID vaccine.
00:09:24.000 Thank God the variants of COVID have responded to the vaccine in ways that the flu is really like a basket of viruses.
00:09:29.000 And so usually the flu vaccine is only like, it's somewhere between 30 and 70% effective.
00:09:34.000 It really depends because basically the flu vaccine is developed by scientists.
00:09:37.000 They try and guess which variant of flu is going to be most likely to affect people.
00:09:41.000 Some years they hit.
00:09:42.000 Some years they miss.
00:09:43.000 With COVID, thank God, this vaccine has been extremely durable at preventing infection and hospitalization and death.
00:09:50.000 Less so with infection now, but certainly with hospitalization and death.
00:09:53.000 But the media are covering England as though England is going to be a petri dish.
00:09:56.000 It's going to be a disaster.
00:09:57.000 We can't let- They're always finding new excuses for why they can't just let you alone.
00:10:01.000 Why they can't just let you live your life.
00:10:04.000 And the excuses suck.
00:10:05.000 They do.
00:10:06.000 I'm vaccinated.
00:10:06.000 Okay?
00:10:07.000 I made a choice as an adult.
00:10:08.000 My wife is vaccinated.
00:10:09.000 My parents are vaccinated.
00:10:10.000 I encourage others to get vaccinated.
00:10:11.000 I've been doing so for months.
00:10:13.000 You made your choice, too.
00:10:14.000 You get to live with it.
00:10:15.000 You're an adult as well.
00:10:17.000 But our public health experts are constantly looking for new ways to lock you down, new ways to control you, and that is because they have made an unstated goal with regard to COVID.
00:10:28.000 Their goal is completely unrealistic.
00:10:30.000 It's nonsense.
00:10:31.000 Everyone in the scientific community knows it's nonsense.
00:10:33.000 They have made an unstated goal of zero COVID.
00:10:35.000 There will not be zero COVID.
00:10:37.000 It was not gonna happen last year.
00:10:39.000 It's not gonna happen this year.
00:10:40.000 It's not going to happen ever.
00:10:42.000 The reason that it is not going to happen ever is because unlike smallpox, which killed one third of people, it affected.
00:10:48.000 And so everybody had the incentive to get vaccinated.
00:10:52.000 And unlike other diseases, which transmit a lot more slowly, this one transmits super fast and also is more deadly than the flu for the unvaccinated, but it's not so unbelievably deadly like the bubonic plague or something that it requires everybody to get vaccinated.
00:11:04.000 It's also very age striated.
00:11:07.000 OK, so what that means is that it is likely that this will continue to be a seasonal virus for basically as long as we are now alive.
00:11:14.000 OK, so that every scientist agrees on this, by the way, there are zero serious scientists who agree that zero COVID is a serious goal.
00:11:21.000 And yet our public health experts, because all they do day in and day out, I understand they have one mission.
00:11:27.000 And this is why single variable analysis sucks.
00:11:31.000 If anybody ever tells you that they understand the world based on a single variable, you know they're lying.
00:11:35.000 The world is more complex than that.
00:11:36.000 But public health experts have one single variable they focus in on, and that is preventing death.
00:11:41.000 They don't care about your freedom.
00:11:42.000 They don't care about your economic liberty.
00:11:43.000 They don't care about your prosperity.
00:11:45.000 They care about you not dying.
00:11:46.000 Okay, well, you in your life make balances on all these issues all the time.
00:11:50.000 You go out your front door every day knowing you could die.
00:11:53.000 You get in your car every day knowing you could die.
00:11:54.000 You go into the office knowing you could die.
00:11:57.000 You know, the chances of that are really low.
00:11:58.000 And you also understand that the countervailing possibility of you sitting in your house and not making money and not engaging in the world and not enjoying your family and not enjoying your friends, those possibilities suck.
00:12:07.000 And so you make those decisions every day.
00:12:09.000 You weigh all various competing factors and then you live your life.
00:12:13.000 Public health experts, they don't do that.
00:12:15.000 They don't care about any of those other issues.
00:12:16.000 They don't.
00:12:17.000 All they care about is, quote unquote, preventing death.
00:12:19.000 And that makes them sound virtuous.
00:12:21.000 But actually what it makes them is horses with blinders on running directly into a tree.
00:12:27.000 Because it's not important whether the tree is there or not.
00:12:30.000 What's important is that they stay on the path.
00:12:33.000 And so what you end up with is this unstated assumption that they're going to get to zero COVID, which of course is never going to happen.
00:12:39.000 It is not happening.
00:12:40.000 They will not be getting to zero COVID.
00:12:43.000 It also leads them, by the way, to ignore all sorts of relevant data in pursuit of zero COVID.
00:12:48.000 Like, for example, they're taking this Provincetown situation as though this ought to be indicative of public health for everyone else.
00:12:54.000 Provincetown is the case the CDC mentioned as how vaccinated people are passing this thing at extremely high rates and they're getting super infected.
00:13:02.000 There's only one problem with that, which is that Provincetown is a wild statistical outlier.
00:13:06.000 In Provincetown, 85% of the people who got COVID were male.
00:13:10.000 That right there should tell you it's a statistical outlier.
00:13:14.000 The reason is because Provincetown, apparently over July 4th weekend, was basically gay party zone because Provincetown is a very gay town.
00:13:14.000 Why?
00:13:20.000 And a lot of people, according to gay rights experts, were basically going up there and macking on each other.
00:13:27.000 It is very likely that you're going to pass COVID.
00:13:29.000 Much more likely you're going to pass COVID if you have a... even if you're vaccinated.
00:13:33.000 If you are swapping spit with people, then if you're not swapping spit with people, it's not the same thing as going to a restaurant or sitting six feet from somebody else in an office.
00:13:41.000 In any case, what this has led the public health establishment to do In their single variable analysis is to treat this as a renewed crisis in which everybody is going to die.
00:13:48.000 We'll get to that in just one second.
00:13:50.000 First, let's talk about the best t-shirts on the market.
00:13:53.000 I'm talking about Cutts clothing.
00:13:54.000 Okay, so I threw out all my other t-shirts.
00:13:56.000 The only t-shirts I own, except for sort of novelty t-shirts that I wear for our all-access, except for those, it's just Cutts because Cutts is super comfortable.
00:14:03.000 It fits you fantastic.
00:14:05.000 Five years ago, Cutts founder Steve Borelli set out to create clothes for every occasion the modern man faces.
00:14:09.000 Since then, Cuts has become the Tesla of t-shirts, hoodies, polos, sweatshirts, and more.
00:14:15.000 From their signature buttery soft Peek-A-Pro tri-blend tees to their cozy Hyperloop French terry fabric hoodies, Cuts elevates clothing staples with cutting-edge fabric technology.

00:14:30.000 GQ magazine calls the classic Peek-A-Pro tri-blend tee the only shirt worth wearing.

00:14:38.000 Cuts is premium with a purpose.

00:14:45.000 This month marks the CUT's fifth anniversary and they're doing it big with two collection drops, a product launch, and a week-long special event.
00:14:51.000 Honestly, I love CUT's clothing.
00:14:53.000 Like, I wear nothing but CUT's pretty much.

00:15:12.000 Now, I will say again, the media coverage here is not just what is driving the panel.
00:15:16.000 We'll get to the media coverage in just one second.
00:15:18.000 But it is our public health establishment, because they engage in one single factor analysis.
00:15:24.000 How do we prevent death?
00:15:25.000 And that is not how any human being lives their life.
00:15:28.000 If all you cared about was preventing death, all you would do is eat vegetables and live in your house and go on the treadmill, and that's it.
00:15:34.000 Those are all the things that you would do every day.
00:15:37.000 And it would suck.
00:15:38.000 It would be terrible.
00:15:39.000 Nobody lives their life this way.
00:15:41.000 And yet, and yet, our public health experts, they say, you know, we have to treat this like a brand new virus.
00:15:47.000 No, we 100% do not.
00:15:49.000 Here's the NIH director, Francis Collins, saying this is indeed a brand new virus.
00:15:57.000 Delta is spreading.
00:15:59.000 We know it's extremely contagious.
00:16:02.000 And certainly in some parts of the country, like Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, it is reaching very high levels.
00:16:08.000 And we are now once again seeing case levels per day closing in on 100,000, which we haven't seen since February.
00:16:15.000 So this is really a different virus than last year.
00:16:18.000 And everything we learned about COVID a year ago, you got to sort of hit the reset button on now how we need to react to it.
00:16:26.000 No, you don't!
00:16:28.000 For the vaccinated, nearly nothing has changed.
00:16:30.000 For the unvaccinated, the only thing that has changed is you're more likely to get it.
00:16:33.000 That's it.
00:16:33.000 Those are all the things that we have learned about the Delta variant.
00:16:37.000 I just did that in less than 10 seconds.
00:16:39.000 And yet, apparently, according to our public health experts, because if they get to reset the clock, they get to do this all over again.
00:16:44.000 And it's been so much fun for them.
00:16:45.000 You didn't know who Frances Collins was until this pandemic.
00:16:48.000 You didn't know who the hell Rochelle Walensky was.
00:16:50.000 No one had ever heard of Dr. Anthony Fauci outside of a very select circle.
00:16:53.000 But now these people are on the cover of magazines.
00:16:55.000 Now these people get to do what they've always wanted to do, which is lecture you.
00:17:00.000 Bureaucrats love lecturing you.
00:17:02.000 Unelected bureaucrats.
00:17:03.000 But this is the thing.
00:17:04.000 When you define dictatorship, folks, when you define dictatorship, it is people who are unelected telling you what to do with your life without you having any control over that.
00:17:13.000 Thank God we have a federalist system where certain states are saying no to this.
00:17:17.000 But these people have dictatorial tendencies for sure.
00:17:20.000 Okay, so Dr. Francis Collins also said, you know what?
00:17:22.000 He's recommending that business locations bar people who are not vaccinated.
00:17:26.000 Now, this is public health stupidity.
00:17:29.000 The reason this is public health stupidity, really, is because if you bar people who are unvaxxed from particular locations, you'll have locations where everybody is vaxxed, right?
00:17:38.000 But the vaxxed are protected.
00:17:39.000 The vaxxed are not dying from this in any sort of significant numbers at all.
00:17:43.000 Okay, so what you are now doing is you are forcing all the unvaccinated to be in a place with each other.
00:17:49.000 To understand how segregation works, if you segregate one half of the population that is vaccinated and the other half of the population that is unvaccinated, what is your goal here?
00:17:57.000 Is your goal to prevent death among the unvaccinated?
00:18:00.000 Because if you actually want to prevent death among the unvaccinated, you have them hang out with the vaccinated, right?
00:18:04.000 My whole family is vaccinated.
00:18:06.000 If somebody from our office comes over and is unvaccinated, they are much safer than if they are in a bar with a bunch of unvaccinated people.
00:18:11.000 If they are there with a bunch of unvaccinated people, they are much more likely to have a super spreader event.
00:18:16.000 So this makes no sense at all.
00:18:17.000 But here is Francis Collins recommending it anyway.
00:18:20.000 Do you think, as a public health measure, it would be good for more businesses to require vaccine credentials in order to have vaccinated customers?
00:18:34.000 As a public health person who wants to see this pandemic end, yes.
00:18:39.000 I think anything we can do to encourage reluctant folks to get vaccinated, because they'll want to be part of these public events, that's a good thing.
00:18:50.000 Ridiculous.
00:18:51.000 I'm sorry, ridiculous.
00:18:53.000 Also, Francis Collins, he adds, you know what, we should make the vaccinated mask because if you really want to pressure people to say, if you want to say people should have like a wonderful life, a wonderful free life, the best thing to do is tell them to get a vaccine and they can live exactly the same way they were living when they were unvaccinated.
00:19:08.000 Makes perfect sense.
00:19:09.000 Again, this is all self-contradictory nonsense.
00:19:11.000 There's Francis Collins saying something that makes no sense.
00:19:14.000 Vaccinated people are capable of getting the virus in their nose and throat, and they do seem to have high enough levels of virus that they might be contagious.
00:19:25.000 And hence the reason, if you're in a community where this virus is spreading, which is about 75% of counties right now, it is prudent to put on a mask, even if you're vaccinated, just in case you might be somebody who's currently spreading it.
00:19:40.000 What in the world?
00:19:42.000 What in the actual world?
00:19:43.000 I mean, no, no, because guess what?
00:19:45.000 Everyone in the country has had the opportunity to get the vaccine.
00:19:49.000 End of story.
00:19:50.000 And despite all the scare stories about how children are wildly affected by COVID, the statistics prove that this is not the case.
00:19:57.000 Overall, kids are significantly less likely to be hospitalized or die from COVID than any other subgroup of the population by a long shot.
00:20:04.000 By a really, really, really long shot.
00:20:07.000 And yet here is Francis Collins saying he doesn't understand why Ron DeSantis is stopping people from masking in schools.
00:20:12.000 And again, the real reason that you are trying to mask up kids is to prevent them from infecting their teachers.
00:20:16.000 All of whom, last I checked, are adults who have had the opportunity to get the vaccine.
00:20:20.000 Here's Francis Collins saying stuff that is not based in data.
00:20:24.000 Well, I don't understand the ban.
00:20:26.000 Certainly, this seems like something local officials ought to be able to decide based on their community's circumstance.
00:20:32.000 And we do know that kids are capable of getting pretty sick.
00:20:36.000 We've lost about 400 children who have died from COVID-19 since this all started.
00:20:41.000 And kids can also get long COVID where they aren't maybe that sick with the acute illness but then end up months later with difficulties with brain fog and fatigue that interferes with their school performance.
00:20:53.000 So this is not to be just dismissed as a zero risk.
00:20:59.000 I'm sorry this is just absurd.
00:21:01.000 It's absurd!
00:21:02.000 Okay, as Carol Markowitz points out in the New York Post, there's a reason much of Europe didn't mask kids under age 12 at all.
00:21:08.000 It isn't that they care about their kids less than we do.
00:21:10.000 Here in a country that starts masking at the insane age of two, in fact, it shows Europeans care about their kids' development so much they won't force them to play bit parts in a grand psychodrama.
00:21:19.000 That is correct.
00:21:20.000 Okay, but this is a recapitulation of what it means to be a free human being driven by our public health establishment at this point.
00:21:29.000 That's what this is.
00:21:30.000 And they're making perfectly clear they never want to go back to normal.
00:21:32.000 Here is the Associate Dean of Brown University Public School of Health on CNN.
00:21:36.000 Her name is Megan Ranney saying we're never going back to pre-pandemic reality ever.
00:21:40.000 This is what they would love.
00:21:41.000 They would love this.
00:21:44.000 Can we ever go back to a pre-pandemic reality?
00:21:49.000 We are never going to go back to a pre-pandemic reality and I do agree that we do have to become comfortable with the fact that this virus is going to be sticking around.
00:21:58.000 Our goal is to decrease severe illness, hospitalization, and death.
00:22:03.000 But there are still some things that we don't really know.
00:22:05.000 We don't know how much this novel variant, the Delta variant, affects children.
00:22:10.000 It is our responsibility to keep them safe until they can get vaccinated And it's our responsibility to stop these surges while there are still so many who are unvaccinated.
00:22:22.000 No, it isn't.
00:22:23.000 These are adults, and your talk about kids is unrooted in the data.
00:22:28.000 Not rooted in the... We're never going back, but that's the goal.
00:22:30.000 The goal is never go back to normal, because you know what?
00:22:32.000 In normal circumstances, that lady wouldn't be on TV.
00:22:35.000 In normal circumstances, you wouldn't know any of these people's names.
00:22:37.000 In normal circumstances, you would be free and living your life.
00:22:40.000 They don't like that, so they're not gonna let you go back to normal.
00:22:43.000 Some of us don't listen to that, because guess what?
00:22:45.000 I've been back to normal for four months.
00:22:46.000 So has my entire family.
00:22:47.000 Since we got vaccinated, back to normal.
00:22:48.000 End of story.
00:22:49.000 Most Americans feel that way.
00:22:52.000 Public health officials combined with Democrats are courting a real backlash here.
00:22:55.000 And we'll get to more of this in just one second.
00:22:57.000 First, let's talk about the fact that sometimes your sleep quality sucks.
00:23:00.000 My kid's been getting me up at 530 every single morning.
00:23:03.000 That means that I really have been valuing my Helix sleep mattress lately.
00:23:07.000 But now, Helix has gone even further.
00:23:08.000 They've launched a new company.
00:23:09.000 It's called Allform.
00:23:10.000 They're making premium, customizable sofas and chairs shipped directly to your door.
00:23:14.000 So, what makes an Allform sofa really cool?
00:23:16.000 Well, for starters, it's the easiest way you can customize a sofa using premium materials at a fraction of the cost of traditional stores.
00:23:22.000 You can pick your fabric.
00:23:23.000 It is spill, stain, scratch resistant.
00:23:24.000 The sofa color, the color of the legs, sofa size and shape, make sure it's perfect for you and your home.
00:23:29.000 I've got armchairs and loveseats all the way up to an eight-seat sectional, so there's something for everyone.
00:23:33.000 And you can always start small and buy more seats later on if you want your all-form sofa to grow and change with you when you move.
00:23:38.000 I have an all-form sofa.
00:23:39.000 Basically, in my house, people compete to see who can, like, nap on it.
00:23:42.000 It is just fantastic.
00:23:43.000 It's a three-seat sofa with chaise in the sand color with espresso legs.
00:23:46.000 If getting a sofa without trying it in store sounds a little risky, you don't need to worry.
00:23:50.000 You get 100 days to decide if you want to keep it.
00:23:51.000 That's more than three months.
00:23:52.000 And if you don't love it, they'll pick it up for free and give you a full refund.
00:23:55.000 They also have a forever warranty, literally forever.
00:23:57.000 To find your perfect sofa, check out allform.com slash Ben.
00:24:00.000 And right now, Allform is offering 20% off all orders for our listeners at allform.com slash Ben.
00:24:06.000 That is allform.com slash Ben.
00:24:08.000 Go check them out right now.
00:24:10.000 Okay, so all of this has to do with a public health.
00:24:13.000 Rethinking of the way we all ought to live our life.
00:24:16.000 And this was stated nowhere better over the weekend than Dr. Anthony Fauci, the great and sainted, he who guards St.
00:24:23.000 Peter's pearly gates, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the greatest doctor in all of human history, never flip-flopped on a single issue except for every single issue, has held more positions on every single issue in the pandemic than the Kama Sutra does with regard to sexual positions.
00:24:36.000 Here is Dr. Anthony Fauci now explaining That you need to mask up.
00:24:40.000 And the reason you need to mask up, even if you're vaccinated, is because let's say that you're vaccinated.
00:24:45.000 And let's say everyone around you has had the opportunity to get vaccinated.
00:24:49.000 You are encroaching on someone else's right not to get sick.
00:24:54.000 I wasn't aware that someone else has a right not to get sick.
00:25:00.000 Who guarantees this right?
00:25:02.000 Should we all lock ourselves in our homes to prevent this from happening?
00:25:06.000 What is somebody else's right not to get sick?
00:25:08.000 Especially from people who don't know if they have the virus.
00:25:11.000 We're not talking about somebody who's out there coughing and spitting.
00:25:14.000 We're talking about somebody who, for all intents and purposes, is not sick.
00:25:19.000 You have a right not to be sick from them, says Dr. Anthony Fauci.
00:25:22.000 Interesting.
00:25:23.000 Interesting.
00:25:23.000 Here we go.
00:25:25.000 A person's individual, individual decision to not wear a mask, not only impacts them, because if they get infected, even though they say it's my decision, if I get infected, I'll worry about that.
00:25:39.000 But the fact is, if you get infected, even if you are without symptoms, you very well may infect another person.
00:25:47.000 Okay, so, here's the thing.
00:26:00.000 There may have been a certain logic to this particular position last year.
00:26:03.000 When there was no vaccine, when there was no way to protect yourself, once N95s were widely available, this stopped being the case.
00:26:09.000 Once N95s, which are very productive, apparently against transmission of the virus, once those were available, if you really wanted to be protected, you wore an N95.
00:26:17.000 Okay, put that aside.
00:26:19.000 Forget about the masking for a second.
00:26:21.000 Now, everyone in the United States has had the opportunity to get a vaccine.
00:26:24.000 In fact, the vast majority of people who are seriously vulnerable have gotten the vaccine, meaning everyone above the age of 65.
00:26:29.000 90% of all Americans above the age of 65 have gotten the vaccine.
00:26:33.000 He is now suggesting that I, the vaccinated person, Who did my due diligence, did my duty, got the vaccine.
00:26:41.000 And it is now my responsibility, even if I am completely asymptomatic, to wear a mask because you have a right not to be sick.
00:26:49.000 Okay, this means masking forever.
00:26:51.000 There's no limiting principle at all.
00:26:53.000 At all.
00:26:54.000 Because it turns out that people are constantly getting sick from each other.
00:26:56.000 My kids, in a normal circumstance, are constantly coming home with a cold.
00:27:00.000 They're constantly coming home sick with something.
00:27:02.000 This is what it means to be a child, right?
00:27:04.000 Basically classrooms are giant petri dishes of kids getting each other sick.
00:27:07.000 Do my kids have a right to be free of illness?
00:27:10.000 When people don't know they are transmitting it?
00:27:13.000 I'm unaware of this right.
00:27:14.000 But once you establish this right, there has to be a gatekeeper.
00:27:17.000 And who is that gatekeeper?
00:27:18.000 Hmm.
00:27:18.000 Who would own the power to tell you what to do on a daily basis?
00:27:22.000 Why wouldn't it be Anthony Fauci?
00:27:24.000 Wouldn't it be Rochelle Walensky?
00:27:26.000 Wouldn't it be all of these people?
00:27:28.000 Now, the media have glommed onto this with alacrity, and it's been fun to watch members of the White House angry at the media for upplaying the threat of the virus.
00:27:35.000 This has been happening a lot.
00:27:37.000 So, for example, the New York Times had a headline last week that is just inaccurate, right?
00:27:40.000 It's just alarmist crap.
00:27:42.000 The headline was, Okay, but that really wasn't the headline that they put out on Twitter.
00:27:50.000 The headline they put out on Twitter was breaking news.
00:27:53.000 The Delta variant is as contagious as chickenpox and may be spread by vaccinated people as easily as the unvaccinated, an internal CDC report said.
00:28:01.000 Okay, that's just misinformation.
00:28:04.000 That is not true.
00:28:05.000 The reason it is not true is because vaccinated people are infected far less often than people who are unvaccinated.
00:28:11.000 So the New York Times just puts out a false tweet.
00:28:14.000 Okay, this actually led members of the Biden administration to yell at the New York Times.
00:28:18.000 I've noticed that tweet has not been taken down.
00:28:20.000 That tweet is still up over at Twitter.
00:28:22.000 They've not been in any way cracked down on for misinformation.
00:28:26.000 However, Sky Australia was taken completely, they were suspended from YouTube.
00:28:33.000 They were suspended from YouTube supposedly for promulgating misinformation.
00:28:37.000 What exactly was the misinformation?
00:28:38.000 They suggested that mask mandates and lockdowns in Australia have not been a successful strategy and YouTube took them down.
00:28:45.000 So, the way this works is that if you are super-duper alarmist in your misinformation, then it gets to stay up.
00:28:52.000 If, however, you are not alarmist in your actual correct information, you may get taken down anyway.
00:28:58.000 Now, here's the thing.
00:28:59.000 We have set up a society at this point where the elites are not bound by any of this.
00:29:03.000 I've seen this over and over and over.
00:29:04.000 We saw experts in the UK who would recommend that everybody mask up and stay in their homes, but they had to meet their lover on the side.
00:29:09.000 It was very important.
00:29:10.000 And so they just broke quarantine and broke protocol.
00:29:12.000 We got Chris Cuomo lecturing everybody on the importance of how to act during this pandemic while simultaneously covering up for his brother's malfeasance and also leaving quarantine in order to go check out a house that he was building.
00:29:23.000 And now, over the weekend, we saw a wide variety of Democrats engaging in COVID hypocrisy.
00:29:29.000 So, for example, Muriel Bowser decided that it was deeply important just hours before the mask mandate went into place to go take an unmasked photo with Dave Chappelle.
00:29:39.000 I mean, hey, when you have the opportunity to take a photo with Dave Chappelle, COVID guidelines go by the wayside.
00:29:43.000 According to the Washington Examiner, Washington, D.C.
00:29:46.000 Mayor Muriel Bowser got in a maskless photo with comedian Dave Chappelle before her mandate requiring face coverings went into effect on Saturday.
00:29:52.000 John Falsiccio, the district's deputy mayor for planning and economic development, tweeted a photo Friday of himself, Bowser, Chappelle, and two others together inside a room.
00:30:00.000 Chappelle, a native of the district, performed at The Anthem, a local entertainment venue, to a sold-out crowd.
00:30:05.000 The venue announced ahead of the show masks were required to be worn at all times, although it's unclear where exactly the photo was taken.
00:30:11.000 Bowser had announced on Thursday that effective on 5 a.m.
00:30:14.000 Saturday, every person older than 2 must wear a mask indoors regardless of vaccination status.
00:30:20.000 But apparently, that no longer applied to Muriel Bowser.
00:30:24.000 Right?
00:30:24.000 That Muriel Bowser... She's special.
00:30:27.000 She's a special.
00:30:28.000 And that means that we don't have to worry about that, by the way.
00:30:33.000 So, here's the thing.
00:30:40.000 Muriel Bowser is acting like a normal person should act.
00:30:42.000 She's vaccinated.
00:30:44.000 She's safe.
00:30:45.000 She's acting normally in her life.
00:30:47.000 But she's preaching that everybody else, including the vaccinated, needs to mask up.
00:30:50.000 Then over the weekend, she also hosted a large wedding, maskless, After the mandate went into place, there is some video of Muriel Bowser presiding over a wedding.
00:30:59.000 This is outdoors.
00:31:00.000 She's still very, very close to people.
00:31:02.000 And then, of course, they moved indoors and she was taking photos of people.
00:31:05.000 Invested in me as mayor of Washington, D.C., which will someday be the 51st state.
00:31:14.000 I now pronounce you husband and wife.
00:31:18.000 OK, it's not going to be the 51st state and also I noticed that After this, she then went inside and it was at a five-star hotel in Adams Morgan.
00:31:29.000 And everybody inside was dancing maskless.
00:31:32.000 I noticed.
00:31:33.000 Really solid stuff.
00:31:35.000 Bowser's office sent Fox 5 a statement that said, Because I'm looking at the pictures right now, and I'm noticing that there are a lot of people who are not masked indoors.
00:31:54.000 I mean, so disastrous.
00:31:54.000 Wow.
00:31:56.000 So terrible.
00:31:57.000 By the way, Barack Obama is planning a birthday bash.
00:32:00.000 He's planning his 60th birthday.
00:32:01.000 Hundreds of guests on Martha's Vineyard.
00:32:03.000 Now, I've been told that large scale gatherings are a danger to us and others.
00:32:10.000 That even with masks, I mean, let's be frank, people can pass this thing.
00:32:14.000 We have been told.
00:32:16.000 But Barack Obama's birthday party is different.
00:32:18.000 It's like a George Floyd protest or something last summer.
00:32:20.000 It is so important that COVID no longer applies.
00:32:25.000 Francis Collins literally said, if you're talking about a small party like I might have in my house for six or eight people who are all fully vaccinated, I don't believe we need to put on masks to be next door to each other.
00:32:33.000 But if there were 100 people, and of course, how are you really going to be sure about people's vaccination status?
00:32:39.000 Apparently, there will be some safety measures put in place.
00:32:42.000 Obama officials did not say whether guests will be required to wear masks.
00:32:47.000 They are holding the party at the former First Family's $12 million home, which sits on 30 oceanfront acres.
00:32:52.000 It's good to be an ex-president of the United States.
00:32:55.000 Steven Spielberg will show up.
00:32:57.000 Pearl Jam is set to play.
00:32:59.000 Obviously, these people are treating the pandemic with all of the grave care that they say that we should treat it with.
00:33:05.000 Also, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who you'll remember very early on in the pandemic, really, really needed a haircut.
00:33:11.000 And so she violated her pandemic protocols to go get a haircut.
00:33:15.000 She held a music festival in Chicago, Lollapalooza.
00:33:19.000 She also went and visited it, apparently.
00:33:21.000 She actually attended it.
00:33:23.000 And she was caught with her mask off while hanging with the celebrities.
00:33:26.000 Here is a picture of Lollapalooza over the weekend.
00:33:29.000 Do you see a mask?
00:33:31.000 Anywhere in the crowd?
00:33:33.000 Anywhere?
00:33:34.000 Euler?
00:33:34.000 Euler?
00:33:35.000 Did you see any masks?
00:33:39.000 Nope.
00:33:40.000 Not seeing any masks, are you?
00:33:42.000 Weird.
00:33:43.000 Look at that.
00:33:43.000 People all crammed, all close together.
00:33:47.000 Not masked.
00:33:50.000 Look at this.
00:33:50.000 I mean, this is all COVID safe, though, because after all, lots of lefties go to Lollapaloozas, so, you know, it's fine.
00:33:54.000 It's probably fine.
00:33:55.000 Probably nothing to worry about, right?
00:33:57.000 Definitely not a super spreader event.
00:33:59.000 This, by the way, is indoors, and you can see a lot of people unmasked.
00:34:04.000 So that's great.
00:34:05.000 Chicago Tribune reporter Gregory Pratt said, quote, So that is very solid stuff right there.
00:34:09.000 Really, really nice.
00:34:09.000 It's very, very good.
00:34:10.000 200 per day, Mayor Lori Lightfoot is moving forward with plans to bring 100,000 a day to Grant Park for Lollapalooza.
00:34:18.000 So that is very solid stuff right there.
00:34:22.000 It's very, very good.
00:34:25.000 Really, really nice.
00:34:27.000 Three days of music euphoria with a huge maskless crowd as described by Lori Garrett, who is a person who writes for the Center on Foreign Relations.
00:34:38.000 Again, it doesn't apply to them.
00:34:40.000 It doesn't apply to them because they're special.
00:34:43.000 They're special.
00:34:44.000 Again, here's the reality.
00:34:46.000 Everybody should act how they want.
00:34:49.000 They're adults now.
00:34:50.000 You want to get a vaccine?
00:34:51.000 Get a vaccine.
00:34:52.000 You don't want to get a vaccine?
00:34:53.000 I think you're wrong.
00:34:53.000 You should get a vaccine.
00:34:55.000 But if you don't, that's on you.
00:34:56.000 If you don't get COVID and you end up in the hospital, that's also on you.
00:35:00.000 But There's just no interest on the left in allowing this pandemic to end.
00:35:08.000 Because for them, the pandemic ending is zero COVID, because they understand zero COVID will never be achieved.
00:35:13.000 And because zero COVID will never be achieved, this means they will have total control, particularly over policy.
00:35:17.000 We're gonna get to that in just one second.

00:36:29.000 Well, as the CDC continues to flip-flop on mask mandates and encourages the current administration to crack down on Americans' freedoms, public trust in our institutions continues to decline.
00:36:37.000 It should, because what we are watching is the authoritarian moment.

00:36:47.000 The first step, go out and get a copy of my book.

00:37:54.000 Now there's still a lot of talk these days about institutional distrust, particularly in the scientific community.
00:38:05.000 I wonder why.
00:38:06.000 Well, maybe it's because our scientific community has gone completely political, like overtly political.
00:38:10.000 According to WebMD, sex should be removed as a legal designation on the public part of birth certificates, according to the American Medical Association.
00:38:17.000 That's exciting stuff.
00:38:18.000 They say that requiring it can lead to discrimination and unnecessary burden on individuals whose current gender identity does not align with their designation at birth.
00:38:26.000 Namely, when they register for school or sports, adopt, get married, or request personal records. A person's sex designation would still be submitted to the U.S. standard certification of live birth for medical, public health, and statistical use only. But it's not important anymore. We shouldn't actually put on your birth certificate which sex you are, says the AMA. Yes, I wonder why we don't trust our scientific establishment the way we used to. I mean, aside from the fact that they botched COVID in every way it is possible to botch COVID.
00:38:52.000 This is why it's amazing to me when people treat all the scientific institutions as though they are the same.
00:38:57.000 Nope!
00:38:58.000 Big Pharma did an amazing job with COVID.
00:39:00.000 You know what an unbelievably crappy job?
00:39:01.000 Public health establishment.
00:39:03.000 Unbelievably crappy job.
00:39:04.000 But here's the good news.
00:39:06.000 If you're a person who loves government actors in control of your life, they are always willing to take more control of your life.
00:39:11.000 So over the weekend, the unconstitutional federal eviction protections put forward by the CDC expired.
00:39:19.000 So there was a ruling last month by the Supreme Court 5-4.
00:39:23.000 It said that the CDC was allowed to create federal eviction moratoria, which is insane, by the way.
00:39:28.000 You have an unelected bureaucracy that is simply allowed to declare that no one in the country can be evicted from their home for failure to pay rent.
00:39:36.000 That's particularly insane at a time when the United States Congress was blowing out the spending to the tune of $7 trillion last year.
00:39:45.000 So the only people who didn't get in on that were the people who actually were owed rent.
00:39:48.000 Instead, you were just supposed to absorb the entire cost of running the apartment building and doing all the upkeep without anybody paying rent because there was a federal eviction moratorium.
00:39:57.000 Well, Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who is the deciding vote in that case, also said in his majority decision that It was pretty clear to him that the only reason that this was constitutional in any way is because it was already coming to its end, its natural terminus, on July 31st.
00:40:13.000 And if Congress wished to extend a federal moratorium on evictions, they'd actually have to act.
00:40:19.000 Well, now Democrats are very upset about this.
00:40:20.000 They're very upset that people have to start paying their rent again.
00:40:23.000 Now, I've noticed that these same Democrats are claiming that the economy is roaring back.
00:40:28.000 That people are getting jobs at record rates.
00:40:30.000 They're claiming the economy is now bigger than it was before the pandemic.
00:40:34.000 So why are they still pushing for a federal moratorium on evictions?
00:40:38.000 Other than landlords are bad, even though they absorb all the costs.
00:40:41.000 I mean, honestly, you want to create a perverse incentive for people to build new apartment buildings and lower the cost of housing.
00:40:46.000 This would be about as good a perverse incentive as I can imagine.
00:40:49.000 The reason that people don't build apartment buildings is if they don't believe they can make a profit by renting out those apartment buildings.
00:40:55.000 If you can randomly shut down rent, why in the world would anyone invest in residential real estate for rental governed by the federal government?
00:41:05.000 Vox.com, for example, is very upset that it's August 1st and rent is due.
00:41:09.000 That's a big change for many Americans who have been unable to pay rent but were protected from eviction by a federal moratorium.
00:41:14.000 Now those protections are gone.
00:41:17.000 Last month, the moratorium was already on borrow time.
00:41:19.000 The Supreme Court had warned it would not extend rent for protection past the end of July.
00:41:24.000 This changes a lot for renters who now have to reckon with their landlords, some of whom have not received regular rent for almost a year.
00:41:30.000 Renters are now required to pay any missed payments.
00:41:32.000 And in some states, the landlord is owed late fees for any late payments since the moratorium was enacted.
00:41:36.000 Utilities are a bit of a gray area.
00:41:38.000 Generally, if the landlord is responsible for paying for a certain utility, in most cases, they're not permitted to turn it off.
00:41:43.000 So, Democrats don't want to work out some sort of repayment plan here?
00:41:47.000 Instead, they just want a further moratorium eviction.
00:41:51.000 Instead of them saying, listen, there's some people who have racked up back rent.
00:41:54.000 They're only getting back in the workforce now.
00:41:56.000 And sure, we paid them a lot of money to stay home, to pay the rent.
00:41:59.000 But what we really should do is maybe we'll like trench them back into paying regular rent by basically saying they have a course of six months to pay back their back rent.
00:42:08.000 Instead of doing that, The Democrats have decided, no, no, no, we need to push for a further moratorium on evictions.
00:42:16.000 Now, the cheapest way to do this, if you're Nancy Pelosi, is never to pass anything.
00:42:18.000 So Nancy Pelosi...
00:42:20.000 I mean, this is the most cynical political move I can imagine, really.
00:42:23.000 She's the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
00:42:25.000 And instead of her saying, I want to pass a new piece of legislation extending moratoriums on evictions, instead she tweeted out, the CDC has the power to extend the eviction moratorium.
00:42:34.000 As they double down on masks, why wouldn't they extend the moratorium in light of Delta variants?
00:42:38.000 And the answer is they don't have the power.
00:42:39.000 The Supreme Court literally said last month they don't have the power to do that.
00:42:42.000 Pelosi doesn't want to do it herself.
00:42:43.000 Instead, she's trying to throw it on the White House and the CDC.
00:42:48.000 Meanwhile, Alexander Ocasio-Cortez is saying, no, no, no, let's do it here in the house, right?
00:42:53.000 Let's extend the more, I mean, indefinitely.
00:42:55.000 Why not?
00:42:55.000 Free rent for everybody for all time.
00:42:58.000 There's a couple of contributing factors here.
00:43:00.000 We have governors who are also not getting this emergency rental assistance out in time, which is forcing this extension, what we would like, an extension of the moratorium.
00:43:11.000 The fact of the matter is that the problem is here.
00:43:13.000 The House should reconvene and call this vote and extend the moratorium.
00:43:16.000 There's about 11 million people that are behind on their rent at risk of eviction.
00:43:21.000 That's one out of every six renters.
00:43:26.000 Okay, so we should extend it indefinitely.
00:43:29.000 Maxine Waters is on board with Nancy Pelosi because she too is a sort of authoritarian.
00:43:33.000 She always wants the White House to just do stuff without any sort of congressional mandate.
00:43:37.000 Here she was on CNN saying that Biden should just do it himself.
00:43:41.000 We thought that the White House was in charge and we know that Kavanaugh over at the Supreme Court had said that they did not think the President had the authority to use executive power in order to extend the moratorium.
00:43:56.000 However, I think the President should not have taken an opinion from one of the members of the Supreme Court.
00:44:03.000 He should have gone forward with an executive order to expand Uh, and to extend the moratorium and then let whatever and whomever wanted to file a lawsuit or whatever they want to do to come after and challenge that opinion.
00:44:18.000 But the president should have moved on it.
00:44:22.000 Meanwhile, Elizabeth Warren over in the Senate, she's doing her best Bernie Sanders routine.
00:44:25.000 She says, yes, let's stop all evictions.
00:44:27.000 Again, the amount of power these people wish to wield in the American economy and over your life should scare the living hell out of you.
00:44:32.000 And the fact that they think they can just write blank checks because the United States is so much stronger than other countries, that lasts only as long as the United States is stronger than other countries.
00:44:41.000 And she's a proponent of Elizabeth Warren.
00:44:43.000 It's amazing how Elizabeth Warren has shifted just as a human being.
00:44:46.000 I knew her like a little bit over at Harvard Law School.
00:44:48.000 That was back in the days where she was writing things like The Two Income Trap, a really interesting book about ways to prevent people from getting caught in sort of a spiral of having to earn more in order to buy real estate and stuff.
00:45:00.000 She used to actually be very much in favor of, for example, school choice.
00:45:04.000 Well, now Elizabeth Warren is just a Bernie Sanders progressive for no reason other than she still has presidential aspirations at whatever old age she is at this point.
00:45:11.000 Here's Elizabeth Warren saying we should stop all evictions.
00:45:15.000 The Delta variant is more contagious, threatening to spread faster among the half of the country that remains unvaccinated.
00:45:25.000 Needlessly evicting families would risk escalating our public health crisis.
00:45:31.000 The CDC understood that reality when it issued an eviction moratorium in September.
00:45:37.000 The agency was clear, and I want to quote the language they used, housing stability helps protect health.
00:45:46.000 It's right.
00:45:49.000 They need the pandemic to last forever.
00:45:51.000 It's the only excuse they have for spending us into oblivion.
00:45:54.000 It's the only excuse they have for dampening the future growth of the economy and blowing out the debt and making American credit worthiness questionable.
00:46:02.000 The only excuse they have is that you might die of COVID.
00:46:05.000 There's only one problem.
00:46:06.000 Vaccines are successful.
00:46:08.000 And if you choose not to get the vaccine, that's your problem at this point.
00:46:10.000 That is your decision at this point.
00:46:12.000 You're an adult human being.
00:46:13.000 But Democrats don't wish to treat you as an adult human being because they wish to rule your life.
00:46:17.000 And yes, every benefit that the government hands you comes with the string attached which is they get to run you.
00:46:23.000 Okay, the government is just like the mafia.
00:46:25.000 They give you the loan, they now run you.
00:46:26.000 It is that simple.
00:46:27.000 There is no such thing as a free lunch, of course.
00:46:29.000 And the fact that the government hands you benefits, like a federal eviction moratorium, comes with the proviso they can lock you in your home and force you to mask whenever they damn well please.
00:46:37.000 Because after all, the great threat of COVID mandates that they control every aspect of your life, from how you raise your kid, to whether your kid can go to school, to whether you can go to work, to whether you can open your business, to whether you can appear in public without a mask after having been vaccinated.
00:46:52.000 This is totalitarian control of the American economy, of the American individual.
00:46:57.000 It's a complete recasting of individual rights along the back of a pandemic that is already waning.
00:47:02.000 Again, the stats demonstrate we are now at death rates on a daily basis that are about the same as Alzheimer's on a daily basis in the United States.
00:47:08.000 They will not let this go.
00:47:10.000 And here's the scary part.
00:47:11.000 Because y'all went along with it, because people continue to go along with it, particularly in blue states, because Americans went along with this, except in some of the red states.
00:47:19.000 Because of that, the only question is, when do they do this next?
00:47:21.000 Because eventually, the pandemic, people will accept that it has waned.
00:47:25.000 But how long will it be before the Democrats declare another emergency?
00:47:29.000 How long will it be before the Democrats decide that they need to lock you in your house, or seize control of your business, or do something to take control of your life?
00:47:35.000 Because there is some emergency so grave that it requires their tender mercies.
00:47:40.000 It requires their control.
00:47:43.000 And one of the beautiful things about human life is that disparate knowledge, diffuse knowledge, is significantly more powerful than individual knowledge.
00:47:49.000 Think of all the people you know.
00:47:50.000 The smartest people you know.
00:47:52.000 Those are people who couldn't handle what you handle in your daily life.
00:47:56.000 And all the people you know together, put together, know a lot more than any individual that you know about basic decision making.
00:48:02.000 But at the government level, they want, like a small cadre of people, they wish to rule your life because they are smarter than you, and they are better than you, and they are richer than you, and therefore, they ought to run your life.
00:48:13.000 All they need is some sort of emergency to scare the hell out of you.
00:48:17.000 So you need to ask yourself a question.
00:48:18.000 Should you be scared?
00:48:19.000 And if the answer is no, if the answer is no, you know they're lying to you.
00:48:24.000 Alrighty, we'll be back here today with an additional hour of content coming up soon.
