The Ben Shapiro Show - Tomorrow’s The Election | Ep. 1128

00:00:00.000 Kamala Harris releases a video betraying the actual Marxist philosophy of the New Democratic Party while Joe Biden shouts gibberish, Anthony Fauci touts Biden while Trump rips him, and we assess the final state of the race.

00:00:42.000 I'm talking, of course, about straightening out those teeth.

00:00:44.000 Back when you were a teenager, you had braces, didn't you?

00:00:47.000 And then your orthodontist said, you know, these retainers, you're going to have to wear these and just wear these pretty regularly.

00:00:52.000 And about three weeks later, you flush them down the toilet and you never look back.

00:01:46.000 That is CandidCO.com slash Shapiro.

00:01:48.000 Use code Shapiro.

00:01:49.000 So, let's assess the state of the race.

00:01:50.000 According to FiveThirtyEight, this is Nate Silver, and if you don't like data, skip the next 10 minutes, okay?

00:01:55.000 code Shapiro.

00:01:56.000 All righty, so tomorrow the voting begins.

00:01:59.000 So let's assess the state of the race.

00:02:01.000 According to FiveThirtyEight, this is Nate Silver.

00:02:03.000 And if you don't like data, skip the next 10 minutes, okay?

00:02:06.000 Because we're going to talk a little bit of data here.

00:02:07.000 I know there are a lot of folks on the right who want to ignore the data because they assume that the data is bad.

00:02:12.000 Well, I'm not somebody who operates in the absence of evidence.

00:02:15.000 So we will see how the data stacks up.

00:02:17.000 If it turns out that the polling is all wrong, every one of these pollsters needs to learn to code, like right now, because there are a lot of polls being done.

00:02:24.000 And here is the thing.

00:02:25.000 Here is the thing.

00:02:26.000 Despite the fact that nationally, Joe Biden is up very, very wide.

00:02:30.000 The fact is that the polls would not have to be wrong in order for Donald Trump to win this election.

00:02:35.000 That's the thing that people are ignoring when they are getting very sanguine on the left about how this election is going to go.

00:02:40.000 I'm looking at the RealClearPolitics polling average right now.

00:02:43.000 In the RealClearPolitics polling average, in the top battleground states, Biden is up on average 2.9 points.

00:02:49.000 And nationally, he's up anywhere from six to 10 points by virtually every poll.

00:02:52.000 But in the battleground states, Biden is up not all that much.

00:02:56.000 In Florida, it's within margin of error.

00:02:57.000 In North Carolina, margin of error.

00:02:59.000 In Iowa, there was a big poll that came out over the weekend, we'll talk about it in a second, in which Joe Biden was down at 41%.

00:03:05.000 And this is a pretty well-respected poll.

00:03:06.000 And Donald Trump was at 48%.

00:03:09.000 In Minnesota, Biden is up only 4.3%.

00:03:11.000 In Pennsylvania, 4.3%.

00:03:13.000 In Arizona, it is margin of error, basically dead even.

00:03:17.000 In Nevada, Biden is up only 3.6%.

00:03:19.000 In Michigan, he's up only 5.1%.

00:03:21.000 In Ohio, it's dead even.

00:03:23.000 In Wisconsin, he's up 6.6%.

00:03:24.000 Texas is also very close.

00:03:26.000 And Georgia is basically dead even.

00:03:28.000 So what does that mean?

00:03:29.000 It means that there are basically three election scenarios that are worth talking about.

00:03:32.000 One is A very, very tight Trump victory.

00:03:36.000 Trump ekes out an Electoral College victory.

00:03:39.000 He doesn't win the popular vote.

00:03:41.000 There's pretty much no shot at him winning the popular vote at this point, but it is possible that he picks up North Carolina, he wins Florida, he wins Arizona, and then he picks up one more state, right?

00:03:50.000 He picks up Pennsylvania, or he picks up Wisconsin, or he picks up Michigan, right?

00:03:53.000 Most likely, those is Pennsylvania, and Democrats are very nervous about Pennsylvania, as we'll talk about in a second.

00:03:58.000 That is definitely a possibility.

00:04:00.000 And the polls do not have to be wrong for that possibility to materialize.

00:04:04.000 In fact, if there is a surge of Trump voters on Election Day, right, there's a lot of focus right now on early voting.

00:04:09.000 Focusing on early voting is almost always a mistake.

00:04:10.000 When you see people, analysts who are looking at the early voting numbers, the reason that's a mistake is because in 2016, they assumed that because so many people were voting for Hillary early, that meant that Hillary was going to win.

00:04:21.000 That that was just a bunch of new voters who were voting early.

00:04:23.000 It turns out that early voting might just be cannibalizing the vote from Election Day.

00:04:27.000 Right?

00:04:27.000 You meant to vote on Election Day, and instead, you were like, you know what?

00:04:29.000 I'm not wasting my time at the polls.

00:04:30.000 COVID's on, and so I'm going to go vote a week early.

00:04:34.000 So you didn't vote twice, right?

00:04:35.000 I mean, you voted once, so it's not as though your early vote mattered more than your late vote.

00:04:39.000 What may be happening here is a bit of a cannibalization of the later vote by Democrats.

00:04:42.000 They're all voting early.

00:04:43.000 Meanwhile, Republicans are waiting until Election Day, and you might get a big Trump turnout on Election Day.

00:04:47.000 In fact, CNN rolled out this possibility yesterday.

00:04:50.000 They called this the Republican surge scenario.

00:04:53.000 And they trotted out this map.

00:04:54.000 The Republican search scenario is exactly the map that I was talking about, where Trump wins North Carolina, Florida, Texas, Arizona, and he wins Ohio and Pennsylvania as well, as well as Iowa, right?

00:05:04.000 This is the most likely Trump victory map, the one that we are looking at right now.

00:05:08.000 This is from CBS, actually, right?

00:05:10.000 This is where Trump wins 279 electoral votes and Biden wins 259, and it's a very close election, even though Biden wins the popular vote overwhelmingly, right?

00:05:17.000 This is the best case scenario, I think, for Trump.

00:05:20.000 The second possible scenario is that Joe Biden wins, but he wins narrowly, right?

00:05:24.000 That Biden flips Pennsylvania right there.

00:05:27.000 Go back to that map for one second.

00:05:28.000 Biden wins Pennsylvania.

00:05:29.000 And if Biden wins Pennsylvania, then that is enough to shift the vote to Joe Biden, right?

00:05:35.000 Basically, everything comes down to Pennsylvania.

00:05:37.000 Now, the big problem, of course, is that Pennsylvania is gonna be counting votes for days after the election.

00:05:40.000 So if this thing comes down to Pennsylvania, election night, it's not gonna end for days on end.

00:05:45.000 The states that report the fastest, Florida reports pretty fast, North Carolina starts to report, but it takes a while for North Carolina to come in.

00:05:52.000 Your first indicator as to how the night's going to go is probably going to be Florida.

00:05:56.000 So if Florida comes in fast and it comes in for Trump, then Democrats are going to get very, very nervous.

00:06:00.000 If Florida comes in blue, the election is all but over at that point, like right off the bat.

00:06:03.000 So Florida is going to be your first indicator as to where things lie.

00:06:07.000 Okay, so scenario number one is Trump ekes out a narrow victory.

00:06:10.000 Scenario number two is Biden ekes out a narrow victory.

00:06:12.000 Scenario number three is that Biden just blows him out, right?

00:06:15.000 I mean, that's a possibility too.

00:06:16.000 Biden is up in a massive way nationally in a way that Hillary Clinton was not.

00:06:19.000 Hillary Clinton was up three to five points nationally.

00:06:21.000 She ended up winning by about three points nationally.

00:06:24.000 In the popular vote, of course, and then she ended up losing extremely narrowly in those blue firewall states and then pretty broadly in places like Iowa and Ohio. 0.56

00:06:33.000 It is possible that Joe Biden bucks the trend here and Biden pulls it out in North Carolina.

00:06:39.000 He pulls it out in Florida.

00:06:40.000 Things have narrowed in the last week or so.

00:06:42.000 And this is the thing.

00:06:43.000 Momentum seems to be with Trump at this point.

00:06:46.000 Part of that is because you knew there was going to be an inevitable narrowing, right?

00:06:49.000 That usually happens at the very end of elections.

00:06:50.000 There's a bit of a narrowing.

00:06:52.000 So that is not particularly unforeseeable, but you could end up with a scenario in which Biden wins everything, right?

00:06:59.000 Right now, if there were no toss-up states, if you look at the real clear politics, no toss-up map, Then what you would see is Biden winning a fairly broad electoral college victory.

00:07:09.000 He'd win 335 electoral votes if the election were to hold up to the RealClearPolitics polling average, including pulling out Florida and Georgia and Arizona.

00:07:18.000 I'm doubtful that it looks like that.

00:07:19.000 My guess is that if Biden wins, it's gonna be fairly narrow in the electoral college and fairly broadly in the popular vote.

00:07:25.000 So those are your three scenarios.

00:07:27.000 Biden blowout, Biden narrow victory, Trump narrow victory.

00:07:29.000 Those are the three scenarios and none of them are impossible.

00:07:32.000 So Nate Silver over at FiveThirtyEight has a piece today titled, I'm here to remind you that Trump can still win.

00:07:37.000 Right now, sort of the analysts are suggesting that he has a 10% shot at winning, but he says a 10% shot is not a 0% shot.

00:07:45.000 Nate Silver says, the reason that President Trump's chances in our forecast are about 10% and not zero, as in 2016, Trump could potentially benefit from the electoral college.

00:07:53.000 Projected margins in the tipping point states are considerably tighter than the margins in the national popular vote.

00:07:57.000 More specifically, Joe Biden's lead in Pennsylvania, the most likely tipping point state, is solid but not spectacular, about five points in our polling average.

00:08:04.000 Without Pennsylvania, Biden does have some paths to victory, but there's no one alternative state he can feel especially secure about.

00:08:10.000 So basically what Nate Silver is saying is that if Biden were to lose Pennsylvania, basically Trump wins the election.

00:08:14.000 While a lot of theories about why Trump can win about those shy Trump voters are probably wrong, systematic polling errors do occur.

00:08:20.000 It's hard to predict them ahead of time or to anticipate the reasons in advance.

00:08:24.000 There's some chance, says Nate Silver, that Trump could win illegitimately.

00:08:27.000 To a large extent, these scenarios are beyond the scope of our forecast.

00:08:30.000 We'll get to that in a second, because for all the talk about how Trump supporters are readying for violence and all this, there's really only one group in the country that's readying for violence, and the media are fostering it.

00:08:38.000 The media are fostering a notion that voter suppression is taking over the country, that Republicans are trying to throw out legally cast ballots, and that is just really not true.

00:08:47.000 There's not evidence of widespread voter suppression.

00:08:49.000 We're going to have record voting this year.

00:08:51.000 Voter turnout in Georgia, in Texas, in Florida is at all-time highs.

00:08:55.000 It is not close.

00:08:57.000 There's some chance of a recount, according to FiveThirtyEight, about 4%, or an Electoral College tie, around 0.5%.

00:09:05.000 And Nate Silver concludes, People have a tendency to go from 90% shot means that there's a 10% shot Trump wins to 90% shot means there's a 100% chance that Biden wins.

00:09:10.000 silver is giving Biden a 90% chance, we aren't giving anybody anything.

00:09:13.000 Instead, we're mapping uncertainty.

00:09:15.000 In other words, if Biden leads by about nine points nationally and eight points in Wisconsin and five points in Pennsylvania and two points in Florida, how does that translate into the probability of victory?

00:09:23.000 People have a tendency to go from 90% shot means that there's a 10% shot Trump wins, to 90% shot means there's 100% chance that Biden wins.

00:09:31.000 And that obviously is untrue right now.

00:09:34.000 The bottom line is that if Biden were to win by two to three points in the national popular vote, then there is a better than average chance, a 57% shot that Trump actually wins the electoral college.

00:09:45.000 Biden needs to win by somewhere between three and five points in order for him to win the national election.

00:09:50.000 So we'll see how all of that turns out.

00:09:52.000 High voter turnout, the kind of typical conventional wisdom suggests that's bad for Republicans.

00:09:57.000 The evidence there is pretty mixed, as pollster Kirsten Soltis-Anderson has said before.

00:10:01.000 Okay, we'll get to more of the election analysis in just one second.

00:10:04.000 First, let's talk about safety and security.

00:10:07.000 So, there are a thousand reasons why protecting your home matters to you.

00:10:10.000 Protecting my home matters to me.

00:10:11.000 I mean, I have three small children, three under the age of seven.

00:10:14.000 That means that they are running around constantly trying to hurt themselves, and I need to have an eye on them.

00:10:18.000 Well, the problem is I have three young children.

00:10:21.000 I'm only one human being, and I do not have six eyes.

00:10:24.000 Also, I only have one body, so I cannot divide myself into three and then chase each one of them around, which means I need cameras.

00:10:30.000 I need to be able to keep an eye on my property and keep an eye on my kids.

00:11:07.000 Keep an eye on your property and keep yourself safe.

00:11:09.000 Okay, so.

00:11:10.000 Back to the analysis.

00:11:11.000 As of approximately 7pm Eastern Time on Saturday, more than 90 million Americans had already voted in the 2020 presidential election, according to the University of Florida U.S. Elections Project, according to Frank Kamp at Daily Wire.

00:11:22.000 That's a combined 57.6 million mail-in ballots returned and 33.4 million in-person early votes cast.

00:11:29.000 Several states have come close to matching their 2016 total turnout.

00:11:32.000 Two states have already exceeded those totals.

00:11:34.000 Voters in Texas have already cast nearly 10 million ballots.

00:11:36.000 Voters in Hawaii have cast 484,000 votes.

00:11:39.000 That is 110% of their 2016 vote totals, respectively.

00:11:43.000 There are other states that are already almost at their total vote total.

00:11:46.000 This would be like Montana, Washington, Georgia, New Mexico.

00:11:49.000 They're all above 90% North Carolina as well.

00:11:51.000 Some states appear to be holding back.

00:11:53.000 Maybe a lot of people are waiting for Election Day.

00:11:55.000 Pennsylvania has only hit 38.4% of their 2016 total.

00:11:59.000 Ohio stands at 48.4% as of Saturday.

00:12:05.000 Looking at the polls in the battleground states, it appears to be an increasingly tight race, though incumbent Donald Trump lags slightly behind in key areas.

00:12:11.000 So, that is where things stand right now.

00:12:15.000 Right now, if you had to sort of ballpark out which states you keep the closest eye on based on the RealClearPolitics polling average, it would be North Carolina and Florida would be your early indicators of where the election stands.

00:12:26.000 If Trump loses either one of those early, then it's gonna be a bad night for Trump, probably.

00:12:30.000 Pennsylvania, obviously, is the key swing state at this point because Trump still needs to pick up Pennsylvania.

00:12:36.000 Now, there's been a lot of talk about Trump declaring premature victory.

00:12:40.000 Speaking to reporters on Sunday evening, Trump denied he would declare victory prematurely.

00:12:44.000 There was a lot of rumors.

00:12:46.000 Basically, a lot of Democrats are worried that Trump is going to come out the night of the election because in-person election voting is likely to skew Trump and say, I won the election.

00:12:53.000 And then the Democrat won't concede, and then there will be chaos.

00:12:56.000 Trump has basically said he's not going to do this.

00:12:59.000 Trump's also added, I think it's a terrible thing when ballots can be collected after an election.

00:13:02.000 I think it's a terrible thing when states are allowed to tabulate ballots for a long period of time after the election is over.

00:13:08.000 I mean, honestly, I don't think that he's completely wrong about that.

00:13:11.000 I mean, we should generally know the election results the night of the election or as fast as humanly possible.

00:13:15.000 It is also true that while we do tabulate ballots for, in some cases, weeks after the election, that's why the original vote totals never look like the final vote totals, the idea of being able to receive ballots after the election, which is what you're talking about in Pennsylvania, is really not great.

00:13:31.000 Trump is likely to appear ahead in Pennsylvania on election night, but mail-in ballots are likely to come in the following days.

00:13:38.000 So, mail-in ballots counted after Election Day as set forth in state-by-state rules are as legitimate as in-person votes recorded November 3rd.

00:13:45.000 Many states won't be done counting mail ballots by Tuesday night according to Axios in Pennsylvania.

00:13:49.000 State law prevents election officials from counting mail-in ballots before Election Day.

00:13:53.000 Night of counts may, in fact, be deceptive.

00:13:56.000 So, that is sort of where things stand.

00:13:58.000 Apparently, the Trump team Says that they are doing better than they expected in Texas, Nevada, North Carolina, Arizona, and Wisconsin as well.

00:14:07.000 There's one poll that is scaring the devil out of Democrats right now, and that is a poll in Iowa.

00:14:11.000 So Trump did win Iowa going away last time, but Biden was very competitive in Iowa.

00:14:15.000 Now there's a new Des Moines Register MediaCom Iowa poll.

00:14:19.000 It's conducted by Selzer and Company, which is the most respected firm in the state.

00:14:23.000 It finds Trump leading Biden in Iowa by seven points.

00:14:26.000 The two candidates were tied at 47% back in September.

00:14:29.000 This is according to Hank Berry in writing for Daily Wire.

00:14:32.000 The Des Moines Register noted it has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points.

00:14:38.000 However, while men are more likely to support Trump and women to support Biden, the gender gap has narrowed.

00:14:42.000 Independents have returned to supporting the president, a group that he won in 2016.

00:14:47.000 So that looks like more Joe Biden is fading than that Trump is gaining.

00:14:53.000 So, this has led Trafalgar Group chief pollster Robert Cahilly to comment, So we're gonna find out whether that is true or not, how much of a shy Trump vote there is.

00:14:59.000 what we refer to as the shy Trump voter.

00:15:02.000 There's a clear feeling among conservatives and people that are for the president, they're not interested in sharing their opinions so readily on the telephone.

00:15:07.000 We've seen people beat up, harassed, doxxed, have their houses torn up because they express political opinions that are not in line with the politically correct establishment.

00:15:15.000 So we're gonna find out whether that is true or not, how much of a shy Trump vote there is.

00:15:19.000 Also, the gap is closing a little bit in Wisconsin as well.

00:15:23.000 There's an Atlas Intel poll conducted between October 29th and 30th that found President Trump now leading Joe Biden 49.6% to 48.5%.

00:15:30.000 That Atlas Intel poll found that Trump garnered 17% of the black vote and 41% of the Hispanic vote in Wisconsin.

00:15:37.000 I'm.

00:15:38.000 Other polls recently conducted show Trump still trailing Biden in Wisconsin.

00:15:44.000 If Trump wins Wisconsin, obviously he wins the election as well.

00:15:46.000 He needs to win one of the following three, Michigan, Wisconsin, or Pennsylvania.

00:15:49.000 He does not need to win two of the three or three of the three, assuming he holds all of the other states that he was holding.

00:15:55.000 So the election, you can feel the Democrats want to celebrate prematurely, but they better be careful because they did this with Hillary and it didn't work out particularly well for them.

00:16:03.000 Again, Florida is the one to keep your early eye on because the votes come in very, very fast and they are tabulated as they come in.

00:16:10.000 So that variable voter turnout, initial estimates seem to indicate the Republicans in Miami-Dade County are turning out to vote at a higher rates than Democrats.

00:16:18.000 About 63% of the 428,000 registered Republicans voting so far compared to 56% of the 634,000 registered Democrats.

00:16:27.000 In Broward County, around 61% of Democrats have voted so far.

00:16:31.000 56% of registered Republicans are as well.

00:16:34.000 Biden America Votes, which is a pro-Biden organization, obviously said, we've got to stop the bleeding.

00:16:39.000 59% of registered voters have already cast their vote in advance of Tuesday's election, according to Ian Hayworth at Daily Wire.

00:16:46.000 So again, bottom line, too close for comfort.

00:16:49.000 Too close for comfort for Joe Biden.

00:16:51.000 You'd rather be in Biden's shoes than be in Trump's shoes on election night at this point, given the polls.

00:16:55.000 But this thing is not over, and it means that voter turnout the day of is going to have to be very, very good for Trump.

00:17:02.000 OK, so what are the final pitches for the various campaigns?

00:17:05.000 Well, you know, we've got the usual old men beating each other up with clubs routine. 0.99

00:17:08.000 We've got the grumpy old men routine going on. 0.99

00:17:10.000 You have President Trump beating up Biden and Biden suggesting that he wants to physically beat up Trump and they suggest they want to fight each other, which I mean, for the record, honestly, I would have enjoyed a lot more than this actual campaign, which has been just a bleep show from beginning to end.

00:17:22.000 Here was Trump and Biden going at it in the final day of the election.

00:17:26.000 Do you remember like a year ago, year and a half ago, I said, I'd like to take him to the back of the barn.

00:17:34.000 Well, a slight slap.

00:17:39.000 You didn't close your fist.

00:17:39.000 You don't have to close.

00:17:41.000 Now they say, he's inciting violence.

00:17:43.000 The president likes to portray himself.

00:17:45.000 I love this.

00:17:47.000 Likes to portray himself as a tough guy.

00:17:49.000 When you were in high school, wouldn't you have liked to take the shot?

00:17:52.000 Anyway, it's a different story, but anyway.

00:17:54.000 Okay, so it's all good times.

00:17:56.000 Old men threatening each other physically is always... It's my kind of politics. 1.00

00:18:00.000 I'm really, really enjoying it.

00:18:01.000 So that's good times.

00:18:03.000 Biden also mocked Trump's hair, which is very important.

00:18:07.000 I'm told that this is a man who raises the standard of American politics, right?

00:18:09.000 He's Captain Classy over here.

00:18:11.000 So he's mocking Trump's hair. 1.00

00:18:13.000 Politics is not a sport for the stupid, obviously. 1.00

00:18:15.000 It's something we take very seriously. 1.00

00:18:17.000 Every election is like the Lincoln-Douglas debates.

00:18:19.000 Here's Joe Biden.

00:18:20.000 So we have a gibberish-speaking, nearly senile old Democrat versus Donald Trump, a man from whom words flow at an unprecedented rate of bizarrity.

00:18:31.000 That's not even a word, but I've made it up just for President Trump.

00:18:34.000 Anyway, here was Joe Biden over the weekend mocking Trump's hair.

00:18:37.000 Okay, you know what?

00:18:39.000 America deserves what it gets.

00:18:40.000 Here's Joe Biden.

00:18:43.000 Today he said he is a, I think he said, perfect physical specimen.

00:18:49.000 Maybe that's why he thought he was able to write off $70,000 on his taxes because he needed special hair care.

00:19:01.000 Seriously, $70,000 written off for hair care.

00:19:05.000 I tell you what, man, I hardly have any hair, but I'd rather have what I have.

00:19:11.000 Okay, he's had hair plugs.

00:19:12.000 Everybody knows that Joe Biden's had hair plugs.

00:19:15.000 We used to call him Plugs Biden. 1.00

00:19:19.000 Okay, so everything is incredibly stupid. 0.99

00:19:22.000 We're going to get to the actual final pitch, right? 1.00

00:19:24.000 You have the stupidity of the politics. 0.99

00:19:26.000 Then we'll get to the actual final pitch because Kamala Harris kind of let the cat out of the bag. 1.00

00:19:30.000 And let me just put it this way.

00:19:31.000 If you are one of these, I'm saving conservatism, never Trump folks who've decided that the way to save conservatism is by electing Biden-Harris. 1.00

00:19:40.000 All I can say is that, at this point, you're a useful idiot. 1.00

00:19:42.000 It's one thing to sit out the election and say, I don't like either of these candidates. 1.00

00:19:44.000 I refuse to participate.

00:19:45.000 But to actively vote for Biden-Harris, knowing what they are promulgating, is... If you think you're saving conservatism, it's because you're a useful moron. 1.00

00:19:53.000 We'll get to that in one second. 1.00

00:19:54.000 First...

00:19:55.000 Let us talk about your sleep quality.

00:19:57.000 So let me take as an example last night.

00:19:59.000 So last night, finally get to sleep.

00:20:01.000 It's like 11.15.

00:20:02.000 And then my baby wakes up at about 5 a.m.

00:20:05.000 And then my other kids wake up at about 6 a.m.

00:20:08.000 Well, what does that mean?

00:20:08.000 It means the hours between 11 and 5, those better have been good hours for me to sleep.

00:20:12.000 The good news is that they were because I have a Helix Sleep mattress.

00:20:56.000 HelixSleep.com slash Ben.

00:20:58.000 Okay, so President Trump's final closing pitch on Joe Biden is that Joe Biden has spent his entire career doing nothing but helping out his family, which, effectively speaking, is kind of true, right?

00:21:07.000 The only major piece of legislation that Joe Biden was responsible for, he has now run directly away from.

00:21:12.000 That, of course, would be the Crime Bill of 1994.

00:21:14.000 Here was Trump going after Biden in the closing hours of the election.

00:21:17.000 For decades, Joe Biden let other countries rip you off, rip off our country, and cheat America blind.

00:21:24.000 And there was a group, they would just, they would let him do anything.

00:21:27.000 Biden has been there for five decades, and the only people who benefited from his policies were himself and his family, frankly.

00:21:37.000 He shows up every four years and then goes back to Washington and caters to special interests.

00:21:43.000 But my only interest is you.

00:21:45.000 OK, fair enough.

00:21:46.000 Meanwhile, Joe Biden was shouting gibberish on the campaign trail.

00:21:49.000 His entire pitch is that he's not Trump.

00:21:49.000 So that was exciting stuff.

00:21:51.000 We all know this, right, that it's Trump versus not Trump.

00:21:51.000 Right.

00:21:54.000 That is that is this entire election cycle.

00:21:56.000 And Joe Biden is just the default not Trump guy.

00:21:59.000 Which means that if he is indistinguishable from the pumpkin sitting behind him on a haystack during his campaigns, that's not terrible for him.

00:22:07.000 It is a reminder that he's not going to be president for very long.

00:22:10.000 Anybody who thinks that this guy, he's 78 years old, that he's going to be around for eight years and that he's going to be a bulwark against the hard left, they got to be high.

00:22:17.000 That's not a thing.

00:22:18.000 Here is Joe Biden speaking gibberish over the weekend.

00:22:21.000 I'll need an effective strategy to mobilize true and international suffragette pressure. 0.99

00:22:26.000 Barack and I think it's a right for people that bad at healthcare.

00:22:30.000 What?

00:22:33.000 What now?

00:22:35.000 So one of your big problems with Trump is that he's inarticulate and says things that you don't understand.

00:22:41.000 So you're going to make president a person who doesn't speak English anymore, who once spoke English as his first language, but no longer speaks English.

00:22:50.000 Meanwhile, Who actually is going to fill the cabinet?

00:22:53.000 So Elizabeth Warren apparently has been lobbying very hard for the Treasury Secretary position. 0.97

00:22:58.000 You have Bernie Sanders lobbying very hard for Secretary of Labor.

00:23:01.000 So we could have like a full-on socialist cabinet under Joe Biden, which would be very exciting stuff.

00:23:05.000 Here's Amy Klobuchar, who is just eating her heart out that Joe Biden did not pick her, right?

00:23:09.000 That would've been the smart play.

00:23:10.000 We'd pick Amy Klobuchar because Minnesota actually is up for grabs. 1.00

00:23:14.000 And Klobuchar is also less radical than some of the other Democrats.

00:23:17.000 Here she was on Fox News on Sunday.

00:23:19.000 Saying she has no idea who will be in the cabinet, which is definitely something that makes me much more comfortable having a senile old man who is going to make sure that we mobilize behind a true... And also that we fix... Here is Amy Klobuchar.

00:23:37.000 Right now, Joe Biden is focused on uniting this country, and our party has stayed united.

00:23:41.000 But what I think is really important to realize, he has brought in people like John Kasich, former governor, Republican governor of Ohio.

00:23:48.000 Cindy McCain campaigning for him across the country.

00:23:50.000 Yeah, but he's not going to be in the cabinet.

00:23:51.000 I'm talking about Elizabeth Warren as Treasury Secretary, or Bernie Sanders.

00:23:56.000 I have no idea who he's going to pick for the cabinet.

00:23:59.000 What I do know is the way he has run this campaign, the way he has said he's going to be the president, not just for the people that vote for him, but the people that vote against him, that's how he's going to govern.

00:24:08.000 No, that is not how he's going to govern.

00:24:10.000 Now, how do we know that that's not how he is going to govern?

00:24:12.000 Well, first of all, He labels his opponents just bad people, right?

00:24:16.000 The real pitch for Democrats is that the people who vote against Joe Biden are bad people.

00:24:20.000 So when Biden is capable of pushing words through his face, he sometimes says things like Trump supporters are ugly. 0.98

00:24:28.000 So here he was in Minnesota over the weekend suggesting that horn honking Trump supporters are ugly people. 0.98

00:24:37.000 This isn't a political statement like those ugly folks over there beeping a horn. 0.98

00:24:43.000 This is a patriotic duty for God's sake.

00:24:46.000 None of those old people beeping horns that are getting in a... 1.00

00:24:48.000 but a... 1.00

00:24:49.000 son of a whore, get off my lawn! 1.00

00:24:51.000 You... 1.00

00:24:51.000 son of a... 1.00

00:24:52.000 Trump...

00:24:52.000 sing...

00:24:52.000 little...

00:24:53.000 shroom...

00:24:53.000 Yes, yes.

00:24:56.000 Get ready for eight years?

00:24:57.000 It ain't gonna be eight years of that, and we all know it.

00:24:57.000 Okay.

00:25:00.000 Which brings us, which brings us to the most important video of the weekend.

00:25:05.000 This one was released on purpose by Kamala Harris.

00:25:07.000 It wasn't like just a normal Biden gaffe.

00:25:10.000 It wasn't like just Biden barely being alive. 1.00

00:25:13.000 It wasn't Kamala Harris dancing in the rain or something stupid like this. 0.99

00:25:17.000 This was an actual video put out by Kamala Harris in the waning moments of the campaign in which she overtly endorses communism. 0.99

00:25:23.000 Yes, that is what happened over the weekend.

00:25:25.000 That is a thing that actually happened.

00:25:26.000 And the likelihood that she ends up as president, if Joe Biden ends up as president, very, very, very high.

00:25:32.000 I mean, Joe Biden should just watch his step around slippery stairs if Kamala Harris is nearby.

00:25:38.000 He should get a food taster immediately.

00:25:40.000 For the sake of his own health, he should have a food taster.

00:25:40.000 Immediately.

00:25:43.000 Maybe Chris Christie will still be available.

00:25:46.000 We'll get to... Sorry, Chris.

00:25:48.000 We'll get to that in just one second.

00:25:51.000 First, Let us talk for just a moment about life insurance.

00:25:55.000 So speaking of food tasting and life insurance, you actually do need life insurance.

00:26:00.000 If you are a person who is a responsible human being and you have dependents, you need to make sure that your family is protected in case, God forbid, something should happen to you, like you get elected president and then your vice president is ambitious.

00:26:10.000 You need to make sure you have life insurance.

00:26:12.000 But how do you obtain excellent life insurance?

00:26:13.000 Well, you could head over to PolicyGenius.com right now.

00:26:17.000 You could save 50% or more by using PolicyGenius to compare life insurance.

00:26:38.000 Once you apply, the PolicyGenius team handles all the paperwork and the red tape.

00:26:41.000 The best part?

00:26:47.000 If you need life insurance, head on over to PolicyGenius.com right now to get started.

00:26:51.000 You could save 50% or more by comparing, quote, PolicyGenius.

00:26:55.000 When it comes to insurance, it is nice and very, very important to get it right.

00:26:58.000 Okay, so.

00:27:00.000 All of this brings us to the video of the weekend, because this is the Democratic Party.

00:27:03.000 So the Democratic Party has been hiding their agenda behind the Potemkin village that is Joe Biden.

00:27:11.000 For those who don't know what a Potemkin village is, if you've ever seen the end of Blazing Saddles, where they construct an entire fake town just for the posse to ride into, Joe Biden is the fake town. 0.59

00:27:19.000 Joe Biden is just a series of facades, and one nudge, and the facade falls over, and there is Kamala Harris laughing like the Joker.

00:27:26.000 Okay, so Kamala Harris put out a video over the weekend that is an explicit endorsement of communism.

00:27:32.000 That's really what it is.

00:27:32.000 I'm gonna play it for you.

00:27:34.000 And it is crazy.

00:27:36.000 It is fully crazy.

00:27:37.000 So it is about the supposed difference between equality and equity, right?

00:27:42.000 So there is a difference between equality and equity.

00:27:44.000 I've made this point many times, right?

00:27:46.000 The idea is that if two people are in a room and one person has $5 and one has one, that doesn't mean something unfair happened.

00:27:51.000 There could be a thousand reasons for that.

00:27:52.000 Maybe the person with $5 invested well.

00:27:54.000 Maybe the person with $5 worked more hours.

00:27:56.000 Maybe the person with $5 provided a good or service worth $5 and the person who has a dollar provided a good or service worth a dollar.

00:28:03.000 There are many, many reasons for discrepancies to exist in life.

00:28:06.000 There are many, many reasons for discrepancies to exist across groups.

00:28:08.000 It is possible that in any group scenario, there will be inequalities.

00:28:12.000 That does not mean inequity.

00:28:13.000 Inequity is unfairness.

00:28:15.000 Kamala Harris in this video suggests that the only way that you can ensure that no inequity has taken place is if everybody ends up in the same place, which is called communism.

00:28:25.000 That is just communism.

00:28:27.000 So here she is explicitly endorsing communism the day before the election.

00:28:29.000 This is wild stuff from Kamala Harris, who likely will end up as president if Joe Biden is elected. 0.98

00:28:33.000 So there's a big difference between equality and equity.

00:28:38.000 Equality suggests, oh, everyone should get the same amount.

00:28:42.000 The problem with that, not everybody's starting out from the same place.

00:28:46.000 So if we're all getting the same amount, but you started out back there and I started out over here, we could get the same amount, but you're still going to be that far back behind me.

00:28:56.000 It's about giving people the resources and the support they need so that everyone can be on equal footing and then compete on equal footing.

00:29:07.000 Equitable treatment means we all end up at the same place.

00:29:11.000 Equitable treatment means we all end up at the same place is an insane statement.

00:29:15.000 That is an insane statement!

00:29:17.000 Okay, equitable treatment means we all end up in the same place means that the way that she is judging whether fairness has taken place is by the end result.

00:29:24.000 So she's just Ibram X. Kendi.

00:29:26.000 This is Ibram X. Kendi's point.

00:29:27.000 He says that if there's any group disparity, if blacks and whites end up with a disparate income level, if there's an income gap between blacks and whites, that means that some inequity has been done to black people. 0.84

00:29:38.000 Now, of course, this is nonsense.

00:29:39.000 There is a statistic that came out over the weekend that shows that Asian women are now earning more on average than white men.

00:29:45.000 So is that because of inequity?

00:29:46.000 Is that because the constitutional system of the United States is somehow geared against white men and on behalf of Asian women?

00:29:52.000 How?

00:29:53.000 Explain.

00:29:54.000 Why is it that people all over the world have been unable to achieve equality of outcome?

00:29:59.000 Well, because many of us have different qualities.

00:30:02.000 Some of us are very athletic.

00:30:04.000 Some of us are very smart.

00:30:05.000 Some of us are neither.

00:30:06.000 We all have different qualities.

00:30:08.000 What we all have the capacity to do is work hard and make good decisions.

00:30:13.000 That's the one thing that you can do.

00:30:15.000 Now, you can make the argument that if somebody has been historically discriminated against, that trying to help them out, give them some extra benefits, like a helping hand in order so that they can get closer to that start line, right?

00:30:25.000 This is something that Lyndon Baines Johnson suggested in the 1960s, that that would be a good thing.

00:30:29.000 The problem is that when the government decides that they are responsible for cosmic justice, as Thomas Sowell has said, when the government decides that it is their job to ensure that everybody ends up in the same place at the end of the day, well, you end up with this dramatic inequity.

00:30:42.000 You end up with dramatic unfairness, cruelty, malice.

00:30:46.000 You end up having to suppress the success of some in order to benefit others who are not making the same decisions.

00:30:51.000 Because again, decision-making in a free country is the chief factor in how your life is going to go.

00:30:57.000 So this assumes, of course, that the system is built to keep people down.

00:31:00.000 The system is rigged to keep people down.

00:31:02.000 And the only way that true equality and therefore equity exists is if you rig the system in order to help some at the expense of others.

00:31:12.000 That's what Ibram Kendi says, right?

00:31:13.000 Ibram Kendi says injustice yesterday can only be solved by injustice today.

00:31:18.000 Injustice today can only be solved by injustice tomorrow.

00:31:21.000 And the way he defines injustice is everybody receiving the same thing at the end of the day.

00:31:25.000 This is a recipe for Marxist tyranny.

00:31:28.000 The government does not have the capacity to ensure that everybody ends up in an equal outcome.

00:31:33.000 All the government has the capacity to do is ensure that everyone's equal rights are protected.

00:31:37.000 That's all the government has the capacity to do.

00:31:39.000 The government does not have the capacity to do anything else.

00:31:41.000 Once it starts picking winners and losers, it can just as easily pick somebody who doesn't deserve something as it can pick somebody who does deserve something.

00:31:49.000 It can just as easily violate somebody's rights on behalf of somebody else as it can the reverse.

00:31:56.000 The government is not God.

00:31:57.000 Kamala Harris and the Democrats are treating government as God.

00:31:59.000 I mean, that's an insane video.

00:32:01.000 And the fact that she put that out, narrated by Kamala Harris, the day before the election, That is an overt Marxist statement.

00:32:07.000 It is not covert.

00:32:08.000 It is not subtle.

00:32:09.000 That final slide of it, the final image in which it's two people standing at the top of the mountain because now one person has been artificially boosted so that they can grab the bottom of that rope and then climb up the mountain.

00:32:22.000 But the final statement there, which is that equality of outcome is the goal, All right.

00:32:29.000 All right.

00:32:29.000 Because it turns out the only way you can ensure equality of outcome is to get rid of equal rights, is to get rid of individual rights.

00:32:34.000 You have to treat people as widgets or moldable by the social systems in which they live.

00:32:38.000 It ignores that people have natural differences.

00:32:41.000 It ignores that people make different decisions.

00:32:43.000 It ignores that there's differences between how people are brought up.

00:32:46.000 There's differences in environment, in home environment.

00:32:49.000 I mean, it just ignores all realities on the ground in favor of this weird and disgusting Plato's Republic vision of a utopian society in which the government molds everybody from birth in order to achieve equal outcome. 0.94

00:33:05.000 A lot of people, by the way, who read Plato's Republic, this is the sort of Straussian read, is that a lot of people who read Plato's Republic think that Plato's Republic, which talks basically about a communist utopia, is meant parodically because Plato was smart enough to recognize how stupid that would be and that it absolutely would not work. 0.92

00:33:20.000 So that is what you're getting. 0.63

00:33:22.000 Joe Biden, all of this is him just soft-selling you on what Kamala Harris is hard-selling you on.

00:33:27.000 So if you love that, this is why I said, if you're voting for Joe Biden in order to stop Donald Trump because you think that Joe Biden is going to save the country, or you think you're saving conservatism because Trump is just such a bad guy, so vile, so vulgar that you need to vote to oust him, and then you're putting Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in charge, if you're saving conservatism by electing out-and-out Marxists, Good luck to you.

00:33:48.000 Good luck to you.

00:33:50.000 Okay, in just a second, we're gonna get to the intervention of celebrities in the campaign, because that's exciting stuff.

00:33:55.000 Plus, some Trump-Biden clashes around the country.

00:33:58.000 We'll talk about the possibility of violence, which seems to be getting worse as we near the election.

00:34:02.000 First, let us talk about the fact that if you are low on energy, let's say that you have children who wake you up at all hours of the night.

00:35:11.000 Alrighty, in just a second, we're gonna get back to...

00:35:14.000 The campaign celebrities intervening in the final days and the media also putting their two cents in.

00:35:20.000 Plus, we'll get to lockdown politics.

00:35:22.000 Anthony Fauci finally coming out of the closet and basically just endorsing Joe Biden.

00:35:26.000 We'll get to that in a second. 0.97

00:35:27.000 First, 2020, as you may have noticed, this year has been garbage. 0.96

00:35:30.000 And one of the reasons it's been garbage is because all of the festering wounds that were kind of bubbling underneath the skin in America just boiled out into the open. 0.97

00:35:39.000 And those festering wounds are not going away. 0.89

00:35:41.000 If Joe Biden wins or if Donald Trump wins, there's a deep philosophical conflict of visions in the United States.

00:35:46.000 I describe it in my book, How to Destroy America in Three Easy Steps.

00:35:48.000 One of the questions I get most often from people listening to the show is, I have friends, I have family, I have kids, and they don't know enough about American philosophy or about why people are trying to rip it down.

00:35:57.000 I wrote a book about this.

00:35:58.000 How to Destroy America in Three Easy Steps is that book.

00:36:00.000 It's relevant before the election, it's relevant on election day, it is relevant beyond the election.

00:36:04.000 If you want to understand the conflict of visions that is happening right now in the country, you need to read How to Destroy America in Three Easy Steps.

00:36:09.000 You should buy it for your high schooler, you should buy it for your college student, you should buy it for friends and family, because the fact is that if we hope to change the philosophical direction of the country and revivify our fealty to the Founding principles of the country.

00:36:21.000 We have to understand them.

00:36:22.000 That's what the book really is about.

00:36:23.000 How to Destroy America in Three Easy Steps.

00:36:24.000 Go pick it up right now.

00:36:26.000 Also, in case you missed it, we had another great episode of the Sunday Special yesterday with author, columnist, documentarian Shelby Steele.

00:36:32.000 He talked about white guilt.

00:36:33.000 He talked about racism.

00:36:34.000 He talked about President Trump and Black Lives Matter and all the rest.

00:36:37.000 I think it is enlightening.

00:36:39.000 Shelby Steele is a brave dude.

00:36:41.000 Go check out our episode over the weekend with Shelby Steele.

00:36:43.000 It's really, really worth the watch.

00:36:45.000 Go watch right now at dailywire.com or you can listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever else you get your podcasts.

00:36:50.000 Also, also, as we've been talking about the Democratic Party.

00:36:55.000 would love to move the country in a radically different direction.

00:36:58.000 And you just saw Kamala Harris talking about how we need equality of outcome.

00:37:02.000 Joe Biden has pledged over the weekend more lockdowns, more masking.

00:37:06.000 Joe Biden has promised over the weekend that he wants to start banning guns, infringing on your Second Amendment rights.

00:37:12.000 The Democrats have fully endorsed the idea of intersectional identity as opposed to individual identity.

00:37:17.000 They believe the founding principles of the United States are mere covers for brutality and bigotry.

00:37:22.000 They endorse the 1619 Project, they endorse Black Lives Matter, they endorse Antifa.

00:37:26.000 All of this is going to be exacerbated if Democrats win.

00:37:29.000 So we are covering the election in detail, and you can watch the election with us.

00:37:32.000 It is a vital election.

00:37:56.000 Make sure you check us out at dailywire.com and use that promo code election for a special deal.

00:38:01.000 You're listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.

00:38:04.000 So as everybody ramps up for election day, there's a narrative that has gone out across the land from the media.

00:38:15.000 And that narrative, of course, is that the Trump supporters are the ones who are going to get violent.

00:38:19.000 This is something that the Democrats have been pushing for a while, even though the amount of violence that is driving from Trump supporters when it comes to political violence across the country, we just watch cities burn. 0.97

00:38:29.000 And the media tried to proclaim that it was white nationalists and Trump supporters who are doing the burning, which, of course, is very, very silly.

00:38:35.000 In the lead up to the election, we have seen that Businesses all over blue areas are boarding up.

00:38:41.000 This is one of my favorite things about the media, is their perfect willingness to ignore the absolutely obvious around them.

00:38:47.000 So Wolf Blitzer, over the weekend, he tweeted out a picture of businesses being boarded up in Washington, D.C., of CNN.

00:38:54.000 He tweeted out, I never thought I would see so many buildings here in the nation's capital boarded up on the eve of a presidential election in anticipation of possible unrest.

00:39:01.000 And it's not just in D.C.

00:39:02.000 It's happening in New York, L.A., and elsewhere around the country.

00:39:05.000 So sad.

00:39:06.000 I wonder who's doing that.

00:39:07.000 I wonder why they're boarding up businesses in, you know, every blue area.

00:39:11.000 You think they're doing that because they're afraid of Trump supporters?

00:39:13.000 Or could it be that the media, which have steadfastly refused to acknowledge that left-wing violence has been plaguing the country throughout the year, Maybe it's those people.

00:39:22.000 Maybe the fact is Trump supporters are not going to riot if Trump loses, but Biden supporters are absolutely going to riot if Donald Trump wins.

00:39:28.000 Maybe it's that.

00:39:29.000 And shockingly, the same media, who seem so bewildered by people boarding up their businesses, have been happily covering and praising the folks over at Black Lives Matter for the entire year. 1.00

00:39:38.000 I hope all of your children get raped and killed! 1.00

00:39:40.000 of Black Lives Matter protesters abusing cops in New York City. 1.00

00:39:43.000 Some of them are not wearing masks, by the way, but the good news is that the virus is woke so it doesn't matter at all. 0.95

00:39:47.000 As we know, the woke virus does not affect people as long as they wear a Black Lives Matter t-shirt and spit on cops. 1.00

00:39:51.000 I hope all of your children get raped and killed. 1.00

00:39:57.000 You're a disgrace to society. 1.00

00:40:00.000 I hope that all of your children get raped and killed. 1.00

00:40:03.000 Don't worry, they're boarding up businesses because Trump supporters might be really bad. 1.00

00:40:06.000 As proof that Trump supporters are really bad, Democrats have trotted out video of a bunch of Trump-trained caravan supporters, a bunch of trucks in Texas, surrounding a Biden bus on an interstate, apparently, according to The local newspaper, the Texas Tribune, they said the FBI is looking into a Friday incident in which a group of Trump supporters driving trucks and waving Trump flags surrounded and followed a Biden campaign bus as it drove up I-35 in Hayes County, according to a law enforcement official.

00:40:35.000 The Washington Post reported Biden staffers called 911 to get a police escort to their next location.

00:40:40.000 And they suggested that this was a, you know, ugly, terrible Trump supporters who are trying to slow down the bus and run it off the road.

00:40:49.000 Actually, what the vehicles kind of show is that the vehicles, the tape seems to show the vehicles surrounding the bus. 1.00

00:40:55.000 Again, this is stupid. 1.00

00:40:55.000 Don't do this, anybody. 1.00

00:40:56.000 It's idiotic. 1.00

00:40:57.000 OK, but they surround the bus. 1.00

00:40:59.000 And then a Biden vehicle starts swerving out of the out of the lane and moving into the lane of some of the other trucks.

00:41:07.000 You can see some of the video here.

00:41:12.000 They can see here all the Trump trucks and they're surrounding the Biden truck.

00:41:14.000 You can see there's a white SUV behind the Biden bus.

00:41:19.000 And that white SUV actually starts veering out of his lane into a lane where a Trump truck is going.

00:41:26.000 Again, is all this smart?

00:41:27.000 No. 1.00

00:41:28.000 Is all this stupid? 1.00

00:41:29.000 Are people deeply worried about Trumpian violence after the election? 1.00

00:41:29.000 Absolutely. 1.00

00:41:33.000 I have serious doubts that that is in fact the case.

00:41:36.000 There were clashes in Beverly Hills as well.

00:41:39.000 According to Fox News, the Beverly Hills PD declared an unlawful assembly Saturday after fights broke out between Trump supporters and counter-protesters.

00:41:45.000 The USA Freedom Rally was planned for 3 p.m.

00:41:47.000 Pacific and featured multiple Republican California congressional candidates.

00:41:51.000 A group of protesters mostly clad in black marched from Roxbury Park to the site of the USA Freedom Rally.

00:41:56.000 Lieutenant Max Subin of BHPD told Fox News a couple of members got into a violence attack on a pro-Trump member.

00:42:00.000 So it was Antifa that attacked the Trump assembly.

00:42:05.000 Shocker.

00:42:06.000 I can't believe it.

00:42:08.000 This was reported, of course, as a clash between Trump supporters and non-Trump supporters.

00:42:12.000 So if Trump supporters do something wrong, then obviously this is indicative of all Trump supporters.

00:42:17.000 If people hate Trump and do violence, then it's just a clash between Trump supporters and Trump non-supporters.

00:42:22.000 So all sorts of good stuff happening across the country.

00:42:24.000 Meanwhile, celebrities have now weighed in.

00:42:26.000 I was waiting.

00:42:27.000 I thought it was vital.

00:42:29.000 By the way, the best celebrity post of the weekend actually did not have to do with the election per se.

00:42:33.000 It came from genius political voice Alyssa Milano. 0.96

00:42:37.000 So she tweeted out a picture of herself wearing a Ruth Bader Ginsburg Halloween outfit.

00:42:43.000 She tweeted out, Happy Halloween.

00:42:45.000 RGB forever.

00:42:48.000 Close.

00:42:49.000 Not quite.

00:42:50.000 Okay, then she tweeted out... She deleted that because it turns out that it's R-B-G, not R-G-B.

00:42:56.000 Then she corrected it, and she tweeted out the same picture.

00:43:01.000 Only one problem.

00:43:02.000 She spelled Ginsburg G-I-N-S-B-E-R-G.

00:43:06.000 It is with a U. 0.92

00:43:08.000 So then she deleted it again.

00:43:12.000 Our celebrity class, we need to hear more from them.

00:43:13.000 Absolutely.

00:43:14.000 Well, if you want to hear more from them, Lady Gaga cut a video telling you to vote, which is what I needed. 0.98

00:43:18.000 I need Lady Gaga pretending to be a down-home girl, not, you know, a giant Hollywood starlet who wears weird crap all the time. 1.00

00:43:27.000 Here she was, throwing away a perfectly good can of beer while telling people to vote, standing next to a truck. 0.96

00:43:32.000 Which I guess this is what people who are in Hollywood and they are from New York think of what people in the middle of the country look like.

00:43:40.000 I don't know that people in the middle of the country throw away perfectly good cans of beer or dress like they're cosplaying a hunting outfit.

00:43:48.000 That is that is solid stuff here from Lady Gaga.

00:43:51.000 Hey, this is Lady Gaga. 1.00

00:43:54.000 I'm voting for America, which means I'm voting for Joe Biden.

00:44:00.000 And if you live in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Florida, or Arizona, I encourage you to vote.

00:44:09.000 And if you have a friend that lives there, tell them to vote.

00:44:12.000 I'm going to be in one of these states tomorrow.

00:44:15.000 Guess which one I'll be in.

00:44:17.000 Hint, I used to live there.

00:44:22.000 OK, that beer still had beer in the 2020 election.

00:44:25.000 OK, so if that motivated you to vote, may I suggest that you never vote again for the rest of your life?

00:44:31.000 Can I can I just suggest that I just I feel like that's not like a great thing.

00:44:35.000 That was her worst performance since Sin City to a Dame to Kill for, I think. 0.96

00:44:39.000 Right. Not not not a solid performance.

00:44:42.000 That was that was not quite a star is born stuff from from Lady Gaga right there.

00:44:45.000 It was much easier for her to play herself in a star is born than to play, you know, like a red state American.

00:44:51.000 Meanwhile, Jeff Daniels was brought on TV.

00:44:53.000 It's always exciting to me when Jeff Daniels cuts political ads because remember, he's played politicians in the movies.

00:45:01.000 It's hilarious to me when celebrities do this.

00:45:03.000 Like, you've seen Martin Sheen do this before.

00:45:05.000 It's like, I play a politician in the movies.

00:45:07.000 Therefore, I am like a politician.

00:45:09.000 Like, no, no.

00:45:11.000 You know, George Clooney played a doctor on TV.

00:45:13.000 If I have a heart attack, I'm not calling George Clooney.

00:45:15.000 But here is Jeff Daniels lecturing us all on politics.

00:45:20.000 In Michigan, we don't pound our chests and blow our own horns.

00:45:24.000 We just get the job done.

00:45:26.000 We suit up, show up, and get to work.

00:45:30.000 We take responsibility.

00:45:32.000 Here in Michigan, we don't believe in paying off porn stars to keep their mouths shut about who we really are.

00:45:38.000 I need Hollywood to lecture me.

00:45:39.000 And we don't think much of a man who disrespects women.

00:45:42.000 Oh! 0.60

00:45:42.000 You mean like Harvey Weinstein land over there? 0.60

00:45:44.000 In fact, We don't think he's much of a man at all.

00:45:50.000 I'm glad that we had all of these people sound off.

00:45:52.000 Now, here's the point that I'm making. 0.99

00:45:53.000 Listen, we can make fun of celebrities all day, and believe me, I would love to, because they are some of the dumbest people in the world when it comes to this stuff. 0.93

00:46:00.000 Now, I am not an expert on cinematography or lighting, and they are not experts on politics in any way, shape, or form. 0.93

00:46:04.000 But the point that I would like to make here is that there's been a complete merger now between media and celebrity, like a complete merger, right?

00:46:12.000 Jeff Daniels will be featured on MSNBC as like a regular guest.

00:46:15.000 Alyssa Milano is featured on CNN regularly.

00:46:18.000 And my favorite thing about the media, who are really the, when we talk about the silent majority in this country, and people say, oh, maybe there's a silent majority for Trump, there's a very non-silent minority in the media who are pretending they are objective.

00:46:31.000 That's their silence.

00:46:32.000 But they're not objective in any way, shape, or form.

00:46:34.000 They're just part of the media celebrity culture.

00:46:37.000 The Washington, D.C., Hollywood, New York complex, meaning media in New York, So, how do you know this?

00:46:45.000 in Washington, D.C., Hollywood, they are all the same.

00:46:47.000 They're all the same.

00:46:48.000 Barack Obama was a movie star.

00:46:50.000 He was not just a president.

00:46:51.000 Jeff Daniels isn't just a movie star, he's a politician.

00:46:54.000 And members of the media are not just members of the media, they're celebrities.

00:46:58.000 So how do you know this?

00:46:59.000 Well, over the weekend, I thought this was actually kind of telling.

00:47:02.000 So Kirstie Alley, who is a celebrity, right?

00:47:04.000 Which means she's entitled to her opinion like anybody else.

00:47:07.000 She happens to be closer to my side of the aisle on a lot of issues, but I don't think she's an expert on politics in any real way.

00:47:12.000 So Kirstie Alley tweeted out something about how Democrats want more lockdowns. 0.99

00:47:16.000 CNN's communications team tweeted out, Kirstie, you are welcome to change the channel, just like countless viewers did every time Veronica's Closet came on TV.

00:47:24.000 But don't downplay the loss of nearly 230,000 American lives.

00:47:27.000 And please wear a mask.

00:47:29.000 CNN is just a celebrity outfit.

00:47:31.000 CNN and TMZ are indistinguishable.

00:47:33.000 Really, I mean, that's CNN's comms team responding directly to Kirstie Alley.

00:47:37.000 Don't pretend to me these are serious people.

00:47:39.000 Don't pretend these are serious arbiters of the truth.

00:47:41.000 Speaking of non-serious arbiters of the truth, here's Brian Stelter over the weekend, a very reliable source, reliably sourcing his journalisming.

00:47:48.000 Here he was talking about how this election is a referendum on fantasy and conspiracy theory.

00:47:53.000 Tell me more, CNN reliable sources guy.

00:47:58.000 Who monitors the Fox News channel every waking hour, but can't spend like 30 seconds, 30 seconds checking his own channel for bias or foolishness.

00:48:07.000 Here is Brian Stelter suggesting that if Donald Trump wins, it's a victory for fantasy and conspiracy theory, as opposed to, you know, a victory for CNN, which would be technically a referendum on fantasy and conspiracy theory.

00:48:18.000 The coming days are a test of American democracy.

00:48:23.000 The world is watching, live, through this network and others.

00:48:27.000 America passes this test by staying tied, tethered, secured to the truth.

00:48:33.000 America may fail this test if lying politicians and propagandists drown out what's true and replace it with what they want to be true.

00:48:41.000 Failure means succumbing to fantasy and conspiracy theory and hate and division.

00:48:46.000 And there's already too, too much of that.

00:48:48.000 Okay, okay.

00:48:51.000 I'm sorry, but the hypocrisy here is beyond words.

00:48:54.000 And Brian Stelter sounds exactly like every other celebrity in Hollywood when he says these things.

00:48:58.000 Right, it's all about ending hate, says CNN, which promoted for solidly like a week the Covington Catholic non-scandal. 0.95

00:49:07.000 Right, CNN, which spent its time declaring that Brett Kavanaugh was probably a gang rapist.

00:49:12.000 CNN, which trots out people like Brian Stelter to dismiss any sort of questions about Andrew Cuomo and Chris Cuomo and Bias at the Network.

00:49:22.000 Don't pretend I'm supposed to respect these people as objective journalists, because they are not.

00:49:26.000 We are living in a world of fantasy and conspiracy theory when you pretend that CNN is objective journalism.

00:49:29.000 It simply is not.

00:49:31.000 It simply is not.

00:49:32.000 And they aren't even trying anymore.

00:49:34.000 And speaking of fantasy and conspiracy theory, notice something.

00:49:37.000 Democrats right now, they keep talking about how Republicans, they have this conspiracy theory about voter fraud, there's gonna be tons of voter fraud.

00:49:42.000 Now, listen, I don't think there's a lot of evidence that there's widespread voter fraud.

00:49:46.000 We've had evidence in particular districts.

00:49:48.000 There was an evidence, actually, of voter fraud being used in a North Carolina district by a Republican.

00:49:51.000 We've had evidence of voter fraud in Minnesota.

00:49:53.000 We've had evidence of voter fraud in Washington state.

00:49:56.000 It depends on the race.

00:49:57.000 In close margin, in very narrow going, sometimes voter fraud can make a difference.

00:50:02.000 It can.

00:50:03.000 But are we talking about like hundreds of thousands or millions of ballots that are being put out there via voter fraud?

00:50:09.000 I don't think so.

00:50:09.000 I don't see evidence of that at this point.

00:50:12.000 But the same people who are saying we shouldn't worry about voter fraud on the left are saying we should deeply worry about voter suppression.

00:50:17.000 So the same media telling you that we are, you know, that this is a referendum on truth and fantasy.

00:50:23.000 They're suggesting that we are going to, that if Donald Trump wins, it can only be due to voter suppression.

00:50:28.000 They're pressing this narrative like nothing.

00:50:30.000 They're pressing this narrative every single moment of the day.

00:50:33.000 The built-in excuse is ready.

00:50:35.000 The same media that... Why in the world are they boarding up all the windows in Washington, D.C., while ignoring Antifa and Black Lives Matter?

00:50:41.000 Why exactly are they boarding up all the windows in Washington, D.C.?

00:50:44.000 I mean, also at the same time, saying that if Trump wins, it can only be through voter suppression?

00:50:51.000 I think I know why they're boarding up all the windows in Washington, D.C., my people.

00:50:54.000 I kind of get it.

00:50:55.000 I kind of get it.

00:50:57.000 Democrats are pushing this narrative as well.

00:50:58.000 Here's Ayanna Pressley over the weekend saying that long lines are voter suppression. 1.00

00:51:02.000 If there are long lines at the polls, that's voter suppression.

00:51:05.000 Nope! 0.99

00:51:05.000 Voter suppression is like when Bull Connor turns fire hoses on black people. 0.99

00:51:11.000 That's voter suppression. 1.00

00:51:12.000 Voter suppression is like when Saddam Hussein gasses the Kurds. 0.97

00:51:14.000 Voter suppression is like when there's an actual poll tax designed to disenfranchise people.

00:51:19.000 Voter suppression is not when you have to wait in line for a thing.

00:51:23.000 That is called waiting in line for a thing.

00:51:24.000 Here's Ayanna Pressley pushing voter suppression is a theory and CNN nodding right along. 0.79

00:51:30.000 We still find ourselves in the civil rights movement.

00:51:33.000 And right now we have the opportunity to write the next chapter in our civil rights history.

00:51:38.000 You know, what were fire hoses and dogs are today is what happened in my district.

00:51:43.000 Arson and drop boxes is voter suppression, intimidation with long lines.

00:51:50.000 So it is just more of the same, but it is also why we must be more emboldened than ever before when our democracy, our livelihood and our very lives are all on the ballot.

00:51:59.000 Our lives are on the ballot.

00:52:00.000 So Democrats say our lives are on the ballot.

00:52:02.000 Voter suppression is the only way Trump can win.

00:52:04.000 And then CNN's like, but why is everybody afraid of violence?

00:52:06.000 It's got to be the Trump supporters, right?

00:52:07.000 It's all the Trump people.

00:52:09.000 It's all the Trump people.

00:52:10.000 OK, well, the final closing argument for Democrats in the end is basically twofold, right? 0.98

00:52:16.000 It's that Donald Trump is a very bad, bad man, mean man, very bad and orange and all that. 0.97

00:52:20.000 And it's also that America is bad. 0.99

00:52:22.000 And therefore, if Trump wins, it's because America is bad.

00:52:26.000 If Trump loses, America is still bad.

00:52:27.000 But they've had a moment, a moment, a glimmer of hope.

00:52:31.000 But if Trump wins, then it has to be because of voter suppression and fire hoses and dogs.

00:52:36.000 I mean, the fact that there's no pushback by Don Lemon there on Ayanna Pressley tells you what you need to know about the media democratic complex aided and assisted by the folks in Hollywood.

00:52:45.000 Okay, so there is also another aspect to the pitch when it comes to Donald Trump being very, very bad.

00:52:50.000 And we all know this.

00:52:50.000 The final closing pitch for Democrats and why Donald Trump is very, very bad is because Donald Trump is a miasmatic evil force across the land responsible for COVID.

00:52:59.000 There's an almost biblical view that Democrats in the media have of COVID, which is that America deserves this.

00:53:05.000 That because we elected Donald Trump, we deserve this.

00:53:07.000 They have the same view, by the way, of the wildfires in California.

00:53:10.000 Joe Biden has said similar stuff about global warming.

00:53:12.000 Like, if we get rid of Donald Trump, global warming will stop.

00:53:14.000 It will cease.

00:53:14.000 Almost immediately.

00:53:15.000 It's amazing.

00:53:16.000 He has said if we elect him, there will be fewer wildfires in California.

00:53:19.000 Which, no.

00:53:20.000 Just no.

00:53:21.000 That is anti-scientific nonsense. 0.98

00:53:24.000 But the basic philosophy here is that Donald Trump is a miasmatic evil force lying over the land, and that the only way to relieve that miasmatic evil force is to get rid of him. 0.97

00:53:35.000 And we have been struck with the plague. 0.84

00:53:36.000 America has.

00:53:36.000 We were struck with the plague because Donald Trump was elected president.

00:53:39.000 And if Donald Trump were not president, then the plague would go away.

00:53:43.000 And this sort of logic has been shown through the prism of COVID.

00:53:51.000 COVID itself is now a referendum on Trump.

00:53:54.000 If it weren't for Trump, COVID would just go away.

00:53:56.000 It would just go away.

00:53:57.000 Because there is apparently a big red button in the White House labeled Stop COVID and Trump refuses to push it because Trump is COVID.

00:54:03.000 COVID is Trump.

00:54:05.000 Now, from Trump's perspective, he's saying, listen, I'm not pushing lockdowns because lockdowns are bad policy.

00:54:11.000 And guess what?

00:54:12.000 We've locked down.

00:54:12.000 We've watched Europe lock down and Europe is now spiking higher than the United States is by leaps and bounds.

00:54:17.000 But all of this COVID talk is being refracted through that lens, right?

00:54:21.000 That prism of Trump is bad and evil and everything COVID related is about Trump.

00:54:27.000 So Trump happens to be more accurate about this than the Democrats are.

00:54:29.000 He actually is.

00:54:30.000 When Trump, not about the efficacy of masks, not about the deadliness of the disease, but when Trump suggests that this is a choice between a vaccine and a lockdown and that lockdowns are bad policy, he's not wrong about this.

00:54:43.000 There are a variety of policy choices that are on the table.

00:54:45.000 None of them are good.

00:54:46.000 None of them are good.

00:54:47.000 And Trump's actually being more realistic about this than Democrats in the media are.

00:54:51.000 But for Democrats in the media, understand that it doesn't matter what policy is chosen.

00:54:55.000 The only policy that they care about in terms of getting rid of COVID is getting rid of Trump.

00:54:59.000 There is an almost religious belief, an almost faith-based belief, that if Donald Trump exits office, if he is thrown out of office on November 3rd, that COVID will immediately wane across the country because the adults will be in charge.

00:55:11.000 It's just not true.

00:55:12.000 Here is Trump making the case instead that lockdowns are a bad policy, which happens to be true.

00:55:16.000 This election is a choice between a Biden depression or a Trump super boom.

00:55:21.000 We're going to be booming.

00:55:22.000 We're going to have the greatest year, the best year we've ever had last year.

00:55:26.000 We're going to have the best year next year.

00:55:28.000 We're set for it.

00:55:30.000 It's a choice between a deadly Biden lockdown.

00:55:33.000 He wants to lock down.

00:55:35.000 We're never locking down.

00:55:37.000 Or a safe vaccine that ends the pandemic.

00:55:40.000 And we, frankly, we're going to end it anyway.

00:55:43.000 The vaccines are coming.

00:55:45.000 Okay, so Trump is providing an actual choice here, right?

00:55:48.000 He's talking about policy preferences.

00:55:49.000 But for Democrats, understand, it's not about the policy, it's about the man.

00:55:52.000 And so Anthony Fauci has lent his support now to this.

00:55:55.000 And as I've said before, I've been, I think, quite willing to listen to Anthony Fauci and his statements.

00:56:01.000 I've said all along, Anthony Fauci engages in single-factor analysis.

00:56:05.000 His single-factor analysis is, how do I prevent COVID deaths under any circumstances?

00:56:09.000 And if that means that I lock everybody's front doors and I weld them in their houses, essentially, then that's what we should do.

00:56:15.000 Anthony Fauci has been, from the beginning, about single-factor analysis.

00:56:19.000 He has not looked at the downside of lockdowns, really.

00:56:21.000 He refuses to talk about the downside of lockdowns.

00:56:24.000 When he does, he does so in vague terms.

00:56:26.000 He suggests that masks are capable of doing more than they are capable of doing.

00:56:31.000 And now he's very upset at Trump.

00:56:33.000 And he's speaking out publicly, like in the days before the election, about how much he dislikes Trump.

00:56:37.000 Listen to the way that he poses this, Anthony Fauci.

00:56:39.000 This is according to the Washington Post.

00:56:41.000 President Donald Trump's repeated assertions, the United States is rounding the turn on the novel coronavirus, have increasingly alarmed the government's top health experts, who say the country is heading into a long and potentially deadly winter with an unprepared government unwilling to make tough choices.

00:56:53.000 We're in for a whole lot of hurt.

00:56:55.000 It's not a good situation, Anthony Fauci, the country's leading infectious disease expert, said in a wide-ranging interview late Friday.

00:57:01.000 All the stars are aligned in the wrong place as you go into the fall and winter season, with people congregating at home indoors.

00:57:06.000 You could not possibly be positioned more poorly.

00:57:09.000 Well, actually, I think that there are ways we could be positioned more poorly.

00:57:12.000 For example, what if hospitalization rates weren't down 80%?

00:57:16.000 What if we were seeing spikes in all of the southern states, like the spikes that we saw in New York originally?

00:57:21.000 Which we're not seeing, by the way.

00:57:22.000 What if New York were seeing a second spike, like we've been seeing in New York originally?

00:57:26.000 That isn't happening.

00:57:28.000 In fact, as it turns out, the best guarantee of having a massive second wave is to have a very small first wave.

00:57:34.000 The harder you lock down, and I've been saying this for months, the harder you lock down in the first place, the worse it's going to be when you release the lockdown.

00:57:39.000 This is what you are seeing all over Europe.

00:57:41.000 Fauci said the United States needed to make an abrupt change in public health practices and behaviors.

00:57:45.000 He said the country could surpass 100,000 new coronavirus cases a day and predicted rising deaths in the coming weeks.

00:57:50.000 Okay, that's true.

00:57:52.000 He spoke as the nation set a new daily record Friday with more than 98,000 cases.

00:57:55.000 As hospitalizations increase, deaths are also ticking up, with more than 1,000 reported Wednesday and Thursday.

00:58:00.000 Fauci's blunt warnings come as Trump has rallied in states and cities experiencing record surges in infections and hospitalizations in a last-ditch effort to convince voters he has successfully managed the pandemic.

00:58:10.000 Fauci said that, and here's where you get to the part that matters, Fauci said former VP Joe Biden's campaign is quote, taking it seriously from a public health perspective.

00:58:18.000 Trump, Fauci said, is looking at it from a different perspective.

00:58:21.000 He said that perspective was the economy and reopening the country.

00:58:25.000 Okay, well, it turns out that you have to actually take into account both of those things, right?

00:58:29.000 You can't ignore the economy and reopening the country by looking at it only from a quote-unquote public health perspective.

00:58:35.000 There are public health consequences to locking people down for years on end.

00:58:39.000 There are public health consequences to shutting down the schools.

00:58:41.000 There are public health consequences to the kind of policies that Joe Biden is promising at this point.

00:58:46.000 But of course, Fauci is now lending his support to the idea that only Biden is taking this stuff super seriously.

00:58:52.000 And then Trump, of course, falls directly into the trap of saying maybe he's going to fire Anthony Fauci.

00:58:57.000 Now, the reality is that Anthony Fauci should have a very specific role inside the government.

00:59:02.000 His role inside the government should be to talk about the dangers of the virus.

00:59:05.000 OK, but he was immediately put out front.

00:59:07.000 This is a mistake.

00:59:08.000 He was immediately put out front to talk about COVID policy.

00:59:11.000 That is not his job.

00:59:12.000 He is not the policy guy.

00:59:14.000 Because the policy guy is supposed to be the person you elect.

00:59:17.000 Nor is it a solution to say, as Joe Biden does, that you're just going to shut everything down.

00:59:22.000 Nonetheless, Trump being drawn into a late-minute battle with Fauci is exactly what Democrats have wanted since March.

00:59:27.000 Here is Trump at a rally, suggesting he's going to fire Fauci after the election, which is a bad closing pitch considering Fauci is more popular than the president by polling data.

00:59:33.000 data.

00:59:43.000 after the election.

00:59:46.000 But this all plays into the media's general narrative about COVID.

00:59:49.000 And again, the media's narrative is that religious narrative.

00:59:51.000 That's also Joe Biden's narrative.

00:59:52.000 It's not about policy.

00:59:53.000 It isn't.

00:59:54.000 OK, remember, Joe Biden's actual state of policy is no different than Donald Trump's, except he says masks and lockdowns more.

00:59:59.000 OK, but the media have bought into this.

01:00:03.000 So here is Chris Wallace over the weekend suggesting, hasn't Trump failed at containing the virus?

01:00:08.000 Well, hasn't everyone failed at containing the virus?

01:00:11.000 I'm sorry we couldn't transform the United States into a small island nation like New Zealand. 0.99

01:00:15.000 I'm sorry that a country of 4 million people in a less- in a- in a lightly-trafficked area of the world is not the same as a country of 330 million people in one of the most heavily-trafficked areas of the world on planet Earth.

01:00:26.000 My bad.

01:00:27.000 But this media narrative is a lie.

01:00:29.000 It is a lie that has been promulgated, and it's a lie that they are going to use to try and club Trump out of office.

01:00:33.000 Here was Chris Wallace pushing it.

01:00:35.000 Dr. Anthony Fauci, the government's top expert on infectious disease, tells the Washington Post today, we're in for a whole lot of hurt.

01:00:43.000 You could not possibly be positioned more poorly.

01:00:47.000 He says he hasn't spoken to the president since early October.

01:00:50.000 Corey, hasn't the president failed at his biggest job this year, containing the virus?

01:00:57.000 Okay, that question is so loaded.

01:00:59.000 No one has contained the virus.

01:01:01.000 Germany hasn't contained the virus.

01:01:02.000 The UK hasn't contained the virus.

01:01:03.000 France has not contained the virus.

01:01:04.000 The hell is he talking about?

01:01:06.000 And by the way, again, if you look at the states that are experiencing upsurges right now, they are all the states that did not experience an upsurge in the first place.

01:01:12.000 So basically, once it burns through an area, it's burned through the area.

01:01:16.000 I've been saying that for months, and it seems to continue to be the case.

01:01:19.000 If you look on a county-by-county basis, the places hardest hit the first time are the least hard hit the second time.

01:01:24.000 So what kind of policy are you recommending that's going to be good?

01:01:26.000 And here's the reality.

01:01:27.000 Joe Biden isn't recommending policy that's going to be good.

01:01:29.000 So Joe Biden just puts out these faith-based insane statements.

01:01:33.000 Joe Biden literally tweeted this out over the weekend.

01:01:34.000 You ready?

01:01:35.000 I'm not going to shut down the country.

01:01:37.000 I'm not going to shut down the economy.

01:01:39.000 I'm going to shut down the virus.

01:01:41.000 How to put this bluntly?

01:01:42.000 How to put this gentilly? 1.00

01:01:46.000 Bullshit. 1.00

01:01:48.000 I'm going to shut down the virus? 1.00

01:01:49.000 How, are you going to fart on it?

01:01:51.000 How are you going to shut down the virus, Joe?

01:01:53.000 Really, I'd love to hear it.

01:01:55.000 I'd love to hear how Joe Biden is going to shut... And if he knows the answer, then what exactly is the answer?

01:02:00.000 If he's got a hit in his back pocket right there to shut down the virus, how?

01:02:03.000 Explain.

01:02:04.000 Like really, detail for me.

01:02:06.000 How are you going to shut down the virus?

01:02:08.000 The answer is the entire media infrastructure, bolstered by Fauci, saying that Biden takes it very seriously.

01:02:17.000 Their argument is that once Trump is out, then the virus will wane.

01:02:20.000 OK, he's not going to shut down the virus because no one is capable of shutting down the virus. 0.54

01:02:23.000 The hell are you talking about?

01:02:24.000 We can't transform ourself into New Zealand. 0.92

01:02:26.000 We can't transform ourself into South Korea. 0.86

01:02:29.000 We're not going to weld people into their houses.

01:02:31.000 Europe is getting hit worse than we are.

01:02:33.000 It's amazing how the media went from Europe is handling this exactly right.

01:02:36.000 We should be handling this exactly like Europe to Europe never heard of Europe.

01:02:39.000 What is Europe?

01:02:40.000 Is Europe a continent?

01:02:41.000 Who is Europe? 0.53

01:02:43.000 It's like they just come... Europe is gone.

01:02:45.000 It's incredible.

01:02:46.000 Europe for months was, why can't we handle this like the Italians did? 1.00

01:02:50.000 Why can't we handle this like the Spaniards? 1.00

01:02:52.000 Why can't we handle this like the French or the Germans? 1.00

01:02:54.000 We should be handling this like the Europeans. 1.00

01:02:56.000 Then they spike worse than we are.

01:02:57.000 And it's like, I've never heard of Europe.

01:02:59.000 Europe is not a place.

01:03:00.000 Europe is an idea.

01:03:02.000 Europe is a fantasy.

01:03:04.000 It's all nonsense. 0.74

01:03:05.000 No, Joe Biden isn't going to shut down the virus any more than Joe Biden is going to moonshot cancer.

01:03:09.000 He's been saying that for years.

01:03:11.000 I'm going to create a moonshot, a moonshot.

01:03:14.000 Really?

01:03:14.000 Because it turns out that most of humanity has apparently not been focusing sufficiently on trying to stop cancer.

01:03:21.000 It turns out that we've not been spending billions of dollars to try and stop cancer.

01:03:24.000 Joe Biden's going to do it.

01:03:25.000 He's going to get in office and he's going to stop death.

01:03:28.000 Joe Biden is going to stop death.

01:03:29.000 He can't stop himself from falling apart, but he can stop death.

01:03:33.000 That he can stop.

01:03:34.000 If you believe this, it's because you wish it to be true. 1.00

01:03:36.000 You are wish-casting this crap. 0.99

01:03:39.000 Over the weekend, Joe Biden tried to explain how he was going to shut down the virus. 1.00

01:03:41.000 He was going to push a national mask mandate he himself has said is unconstitutional.

01:03:46.000 We're going to act to get COVID under control.

01:03:49.000 On day one of my presidency, I'll put in action a plan I've been talking about for months, already laid out.

01:03:56.000 A national mandate.

01:03:58.000 Mask wearing, social distancing, testing, tracing.

01:04:01.000 All things.

01:04:03.000 As President Obama just said, it should have and could have been put in place months and months ago.

01:04:08.000 All the things, masking, they have in Europe.

01:04:12.000 OK, testing and tracing they have in Europe.

01:04:13.000 You know what?

01:04:14.000 You know what happened with testing and tracing?

01:04:15.000 Nothing.

01:04:16.000 It turns out the only way you can test and trace is if case count is low and there's no community spread.

01:04:21.000 I am eager to hear from Joe Biden how he plans to test and trace in a country with 100,000 new infections a day.

01:04:27.000 Seriously, really, really eager to hear about it.

01:04:29.000 How he's going to test and trace.

01:04:31.000 Does he plan to employ all 330 million Americans, including children, in the testing and tracing process?

01:04:37.000 That's a hell of a government employment program.

01:04:39.000 But don't worry, he has the solution.

01:04:40.000 He's going to shut down the virus.

01:04:42.000 He's going to just shut it down.

01:04:43.000 And that's going to solve everything.

01:04:45.000 Meanwhile, Andrew Cuomo, whose book was chosen by Amazon editors as one of the best of the year.

01:04:50.000 Again, the title of it should have been If I Did It.

01:04:53.000 Like OJ Simpson.

01:04:54.000 But he's captain.

01:04:55.000 I'm shutting down the virus after letting it wipe out every old person in New York. 0.99

01:04:59.000 Here is Andrew Cuovo over the weekend.

01:05:00.000 So he's rolling out a new policy.

01:05:02.000 His new policy is he's going to mandatorily test everyone entering New York for COVID.

01:05:08.000 Now, number one, there are serious problems with doing mass testing in this way because you end up with an awful lot of false positives and an awful lot of false negatives.

01:05:15.000 Tests are not perfect.

01:05:16.000 Beyond that, it has been longtime FDA policy that mandatory testing of the healthy is generally bad policy.

01:05:24.000 Nonetheless, here was Andrew Cuomo declaring that he's basically shutting down a state, not to Connecticut and New Jersey, by the way, but to everybody else because he's handled it so brilliantly.

01:05:30.000 So he is going to try and turn New York into an island nation.

01:05:33.000 We'll see how that goes for Andrew.

01:05:36.000 If you are coming to the state of New York, Within three days of arriving in New York, you must have tested negative and have proof of a test within three days upon your arrival in New York that says you're negative.

01:06:01.000 Once you arrive in New York, you must quarantine for three days Yeah, that's not gonna work.

01:06:11.000 And there's several reasons it's not gonna work.

01:06:13.000 One, not everybody's gonna do the test.

01:06:17.000 Two, the incubation period on COVID is two to five days.

01:06:19.000 negative, then God bless, you're released from quarantine.

01:06:25.000 Yeah, that's not gonna work. And there are several reasons it's not gonna work. One, not everybody is gonna do the test. Two, the incubation period on COVID is two to five days, not three. Seriously, if he's gonna do this, he actually has to quarantine everybody for like a It doesn't work if you quarantine... Let's say that you were exposed to COVID, and then you traveled, and you waited three days, and then you tested negative.

01:06:47.000 Guess what?

01:06:48.000 You could still be positive for COVID.

01:06:50.000 Okay, that's not the way any of this works.

01:06:52.000 It doesn't matter.

01:06:53.000 It doesn't matter. 0.99

01:06:53.000 This is all posturing bullcrap. 0.99

01:06:55.000 It's gonna spread where it's gonna spread. 0.96

01:06:56.000 The only thing that you can do is lock it down, and if you lock it down, all you're doing is delaying the impact.

01:07:01.000 Again, all of this is based on this bizarre, weird notion that there's a way to control this.

01:07:05.000 We know the answer.

01:07:06.000 We know the answer.

01:07:08.000 We don't know the answer.

01:07:09.000 Nobody knows the answer.

01:07:10.000 It's a bunch of hogwash, but it's part of a broader narrative, and the broader narrative is everything is Trump's fault.

01:07:15.000 Again, it goes back to that religious belief that if we get rid of Trump, all problems are solved.

01:07:19.000 Well, I think that people are going to find out very quickly that if Joe Biden is elected, not all problems are solved.

01:07:25.000 Here's actually my prediction of what happens with COVID if Joe Biden is elected.

01:07:28.000 If Joe Biden is elected, what you're going to watch is a continuation of caseload across the winter, because that's going to happen no matter what anybody does or no matter what anybody says.

01:07:36.000 Right?

01:07:36.000 Because people are going to go indoors.

01:07:37.000 It's going to be cold in the Northeast.

01:07:39.000 It's all the areas of the country that are coldest right now that are getting hit.

01:07:42.000 So, during the winter, there's going to be that second wave that everybody talked about.

01:07:45.000 In most cases, it actually constitutes a first wave because in many areas that were already hard hit, they're not going to get a big second wave.

01:07:52.000 Okay.

01:07:52.000 So, you're not going to see a huge second wave in Arizona or in Florida or in Texas.

01:07:57.000 You are going to see a big wave in the states who are currently seeing a big wave.

01:08:02.000 And there'll be increased deaths because even though we have gotten better at treating this in hospitals, it is still true that along with increased caseload comes increased death.

01:08:10.000 By January, it's already going to be going down.

01:08:13.000 Because just like this is what happened in March, right?

01:08:15.000 It went up in March, it went up in April.

01:08:17.000 By May, it was already starting to come down.

01:08:18.000 It's going to go up in November.

01:08:19.000 It's going to go up in December.

01:08:20.000 By January, it's already going to start to come down.

01:08:22.000 By the third week of January, when Joe Biden would take office, it will already be on the downside of the curve.

01:08:27.000 Joe Biden will then declare a national mask mandate, regardless of whether it is constitutional.

01:08:31.000 And he will do a big speech asking everybody to socially distance.

01:08:34.000 And then the curve, which is already starting to decline, will continue to decline.

01:08:37.000 And then Joe Biden will declare that he has defeated COVID.

01:08:40.000 That is my prediction.

01:08:41.000 Bank on it.

01:08:42.000 Okay, put that—seriously, seal it, put it in the time capsule.

01:08:45.000 We'll uncover it on January 31st of next year if Joe Biden wins victory, and we'll see if I was right.

01:08:51.000 Because all of this has to create, it's all about the political myth and the deeper political myth.

01:08:55.000 Okay, what that really ties into is the deeper political myth that Democrats have been purveying for generations, which is that government is the solution to all your problems.

01:09:02.000 Government cannot solve every problem.

01:09:04.000 Government can't solve cancer.

01:09:05.000 Government can't solve COVID.

01:09:06.000 And government can't solve the problems of inequality of outcome.

01:09:11.000 But if you're a true believer in the state, if you're a true believer in Marxism, if you're a true believer in the idea that the state controls all aspects of life, this is where you end up.

01:09:19.000 And that's really what the election is about.

01:09:22.000 The election is about whether you get to control your life or whether these guys are going to control your life.

01:09:25.000 If you want to make it about a battle of personalities and that's what you decide to do, All right.

01:09:29.000 I mean, you can. 0.87

01:09:31.000 But it's you treating politics foolishly.

01:09:32.000 Politics is about who gets to control your life.

01:09:34.000 You or people in Washington, D.C.

01:09:36.000 who say they can solve all your problems. 1.00

01:09:38.000 And if you believe the latter, you're the sucker. 1.00

01:09:39.000 If you can't spot the sucker in the room, it's you. 1.00

01:09:42.000 All righty. 0.97

01:09:42.000 We'll be back later today with two additional hours of content. 0.97

01:09:44.000 Otherwise, we'll see you here tomorrow for Election Day.
