Hi everyone, so Justin Trudeau was first elected in 2015.
00:00:40.160
And at the end of 2016, I decided to write a book about the stupidest things our Prime Minister said that year,
00:00:45.660
including some of my favorite stupid things that he has said over the years.
00:00:49.620
Trudeau's quotes shed light into the kind of person he is.
00:00:52.680
Vain, self-centered, image-obsessed, narcissistic, uninformed, ignorant, painfully progressive, woke, far left, and so on.
00:01:01.880
Now, interestingly, our legacy media seems totally uninterested in Trudeau's past quotes.
00:01:09.380
They never really cover them or put them under the microscope to begin with,
00:01:12.780
which is part of the reason why we have Justin Trudeau as our Prime Minister.
00:01:19.000
And every year, people ask me when the next volume will be released.
00:01:23.000
Well, every year, we keep track of the stupid things that Justin Trudeau said that year.
00:01:26.980
And we release an article every year called The Top Stupid Things Trudeau Says.
00:01:31.740
So without further ado, here is the 2023 countdown list for the stupidest things that Canadian politicians,
00:01:39.940
He dominates this list that they said this year.
00:01:43.520
So number 10, Trudeau says that Canada protects freedom of expression.
00:01:50.120
So in the wake of a rise of really unprecedented and horrific anti-Semitic attacks and incitements
00:01:56.200
in Canada against our Jewish brothers and sisters, Justin Trudeau steps in and proudly protects
00:02:02.960
freedom of expression, saying that these people can pretty much just say and do whatever they
00:02:08.080
People are forgetting a little bit that we're a country that protects the freedom of expression,
00:02:13.120
that protects liberty of conscience, that respects and supports people, even when we disagree
00:02:25.180
That has been one of the strengths of Canada for our entire existence.
00:02:29.060
We're a place that does diversity better than just about anywhere else.
00:02:31.880
Isn't it interesting how Canada protects free speech when it comes to radical Islamists and
00:02:38.780
When it comes to the truckers and people who are critical of his government, independent
00:02:42.460
news, Justin Trudeau's love and admiration for freedom of expression seems to disappear.
00:02:48.580
And number nine, Justin Trudeau says that trans women are women.
00:02:53.260
Trans women are men who dress up like women, pretend to be women, and sometimes try to get
00:03:01.020
But according to our prime minister, yes, they are.
00:03:06.400
Next, on a similar topic, number eight, Justin Trudeau calls Canadian parents who are worried
00:03:13.780
And then just a few days later, he claims that he never did that.
00:03:16.940
On September 20th, he says, let's make one thing clear, transphobia, homophobia, and
00:03:26.500
And then just a few days later, on October 5th, Justin Trudeau claimed that he never
00:03:31.340
said that people who are worried about parental rights were filled with hate or intolerance.
00:03:35.860
Well, sorry, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, we have them both on tape.
00:03:39.160
So here is that clip of Justin Trudeau trying to contradict the first clip that we just showed
00:03:44.720
And I never suggested that someone who's concerned about parental rights is somehow filled with
00:03:52.720
Number seven, again, on a similar topic, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau lectures concerned
00:03:57.740
parents on gender ideology, claiming that it is misinformation and disinformation fueled
00:04:06.280
We know that Justin Trudeau really, really hates Republicans.
00:04:10.580
And anything that he doesn't agree with, he just writes off as misinformation and disinformation,
00:04:15.700
probably a conspiracy theory or something like that.
00:04:20.180
I ask you, Mr. Prime Minister, to please protect our beliefs and our culture as well, the same
00:04:35.720
First of all, there is an awful lot of misinformation and disinformation.
00:04:41.740
People on social media, particularly fueled by the American right wing.
00:04:47.860
He's trying to say that conservatives hate Muslims, but then Muslims are also against
00:04:54.260
So he's trying to tell the Muslims to stay with him and the liberals.
00:04:57.280
And then it's really the right, the Christian right and the Americans that are to blame.
00:05:02.880
Let's give Justin Trudeau a little bit of a break.
00:05:07.540
Here we have a liberal MP in Justin Trudeau's caucus.
00:05:10.140
His name is Ryan Turnbull, and he went on a bit of a deranged tirade on social media,
00:05:16.520
claiming that opposition leader Pierre Polyev would fail a security clearance.
00:05:23.640
He said, why won't Polyev get security clearance?
00:05:26.980
Either he prefers to remain ignorant of the facts so he can continue to mislead, or he has
00:05:32.540
a red flag in his background, which would have him fail to gain security clearance, causing
00:05:38.160
So this is all total speculation, so much so that X actually slapped a community note.
00:05:44.240
This is one of the best features that has happened since Elon Musk took over the platform,
00:05:48.680
is that we now have these little real-time fact checks where users can claim that something's
00:05:53.200
false, and if enough of them claim that it is, they slap on this real-time warning to
00:05:57.940
So the context that is added here, it says Pierre Polyev, leader of His Majesty's loyal opposition
00:06:02.960
in Canada, has already undergone a series of background checks as a former cabinet minister
00:06:09.400
He was also sworn into the King's Privy Council for Canada as a member.
00:06:15.240
It was just total nonsense made up by a Liberal MP.
00:06:22.280
Here's number five Liberal MP, also in Justin Trudeau's caucus.
00:06:25.780
Ken Hardy blames Pierre Polyev for a shooting in Winnipeg.
00:06:33.000
It happened in a very bad neighborhood in Winnipeg.
00:06:36.000
But almost right away, again, a Liberal MP jumps online to just post pure speculation and
00:06:43.940
He says, beyond troubling to see another mass shooting in Canada, now in Winnipeg, we've lost
00:06:50.020
Might it be the antisocial, burn-everything-down, far-right attitude we're seeing creeping in from
00:06:54.920
the U.S. and the creep on the Canadian side, Pierre Polyev.
00:07:00.020
Again, these Liberals are really obsessed with the American right and the Republicans and
00:07:07.500
The whole idea that the far-right has a burn-it-down attitude is pretty ironic, given that it is
00:07:13.260
the far-left that like to burn everything down in Canada.
00:07:16.060
Remember when the far-left burnt down 83 churches in Canada and the head of the B.C.
00:07:20.520
Civil Liberties Association literally posted online, burn it all down?
00:07:24.260
Yeah, I would say that that is a problem on the left, not so much the right in Canada.
00:07:28.740
Well, remarkably, this Liberal MP doubled down on his insane connection that somehow a
00:07:35.680
conservative politician in Canada is responsible for a drug shooting in Winnipeg, and it's all
00:07:41.280
because of the far-right attitude from the U.S.
00:07:44.120
Okay, so here is a clip of this Liberal MP who's still in caucus, still part of Justin
00:07:52.200
He just says that he's trying to plant the seed.
00:07:54.520
He's trying to plant the seed so that reasonable people will think about it.
00:07:59.120
So basically, he's admitting that he's just trying to push propaganda and total nonsense,
00:08:03.160
and the media just shrug and let him get away with it.
00:08:08.080
No, the intention there was to plant the seed and to really mark out the fact that Mr. Kaliyev
00:08:13.640
is engaging in very dangerous behavior, you know, behavior that is toxic right across the
00:08:20.940
I did not make any connection between him and the event in Winnipeg, except to say that
00:08:27.080
he's creating an environment through his toxicity where some people are going to give themselves
00:08:40.300
What I'm saying is, is that it's the environment that the Conservative leader is creating through
00:08:47.320
his consistent misrepresentations and the use of the big lie technique.
00:08:51.760
That environment leads to a rise in all kinds of things that are just simply not good for
00:08:59.420
Now, yes, the Winnipeg one, totally different thing.
00:09:02.540
Mr. Kaliyev, like any reasonable person, would have had nothing directly to do with that.
00:09:07.040
But it's the environment that's being created by the politics that he practices.
00:09:11.720
That's what we really have to be concerned about.
00:09:13.980
With the RBC Avion Visa, you can book any airline, any flight, any time.
00:09:29.600
Switch and get up to 55,000 Avion points that never expire.
00:09:45.500
Look, we don't discriminate here on the Candace Malcolm Show, and we hold all politicians who
00:09:50.760
So number four on our list is Pierre Polyev for calling Christine Anderson racist, hateful,
00:10:00.100
So Christine Anderson, who is a German politician who has really become well-known for her criticisms,
00:10:07.800
So during her time in Canada, she gave many speeches, she held many meetings, and here she
00:10:11.460
is photographed with some conservative MPs, including Lesley Lewis, who ran for leaders.
00:10:16.740
She was also spotted there with Maxine Bernier.
00:10:20.040
Well, Pierre Polyev didn't like it, and he decided to sort of take a page from Justin Trudeau's
00:10:24.220
He said, Christine Anderson's views are vile and have no place in our politics.
00:10:28.240
The MPs were not aware of the visiting member of the European Parliament's opinions, and
00:10:33.820
Frankly, it would be better if Anderson never visited Canada in the first place.
00:10:37.140
She and her racist, hateful views are not welcome here.
00:10:40.560
Well, again, that sort of sounds a little bit like Justin Trudeau and cancel culture saying
00:10:44.700
that someone is racist, and therefore they're not allowed.
00:10:47.520
Look, I probably don't agree with everything that Christine Anderson says, but that doesn't mean
00:10:54.700
She's raising some very good points about the problem of mass immigration without integration,
00:10:59.040
and it doesn't really help when we have conservative politicians acting and sounding a lot like
00:11:05.300
All right, moving on, let's go down to number three, back to Justin Trudeau.
00:11:08.820
Well, this one goes to both Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his super serious, super smart
00:11:13.620
foreign affairs minister, Melanie Jolie, and their various positions when it comes to Israel.
00:11:20.360
Justin Trudeau on November 14th told Israel to, quote, stop killing babies.
00:11:28.060
The world is witnessing this, the killing of women and children, of babies.
00:11:42.560
Killing of women and children and of babies has to stop.
00:11:46.380
This, of course, led to a number of international media headlines.
00:11:51.100
It was picked up by news agencies all over the world, except for Canada.
00:11:56.000
They like treating Justin Trudeau with kid gloves.
00:11:58.260
But of course, this promotes the blood libel that Jews just try to murder babies and that
00:12:03.140
Israel is entirely to blame and Palestinians are innocent.
00:12:06.280
Well, Justin Trudeau's position on Israel has been back and forth and questionable, but
00:12:10.420
I think his foreign affairs minister, Melanie Jolie, really takes a cake on some of her
00:12:17.580
So back on October 12th, when we were just worried about Canadians trapped in a war zone
00:12:21.260
and whether they could get out, whether the embassy was actually open over Canadian Thanksgiving
00:12:24.860
weekend, Melanie Jolie just sort of brushed it all off.
00:12:28.180
And she said, look, I'm a very busy woman and I can't always be found.
00:12:32.180
It's not my responsibility to worry about all this stuff.
00:12:38.220
Meanwhile, there's so many issues happening in the world and trying to address all of
00:12:43.300
But my goal right now is to make sure that this assisted departure is well done.
00:12:48.320
Next on November 10th, Melanie Jolie said that she wants Hamas, yes, Hamas at the negotiating
00:12:54.280
She said she looks forward to a negotiating table where Israelis, Hamas and Qatar are all
00:13:01.160
And this leads us to one of the silliest comments that we've seen so far.
00:13:05.160
Melanie Jolie says that a two-state solution is more feasible since the grotesque, gruesome
00:13:12.920
Yes, more, more likely to get a new state because, you know, the international community
00:13:17.360
just loves to reward brutal, vicious terrorists for sadistic killings of families in their
00:13:23.360
Here she was on December 17th talking to Vashi Kapelos over at CTV saying that Palestinians
00:13:29.620
are probably going to get their own state because of all this.
00:13:31.300
The possibility of it, though, after what has occurred over the last two months is diminished
00:13:37.020
even relative to where it was prior to the start, prior to Hamas's initial attack.
00:13:44.000
I think because this conflict is so difficult for Israel, so difficult for the Palestinians,
00:13:53.080
so difficult for the world, not only in Canada because we've seen the rise of anti-Semitism,
00:13:58.580
the rise of Islamophobia and just the rise of tension.
00:14:09.760
We are amidst an international security crisis, so we need to take a chance on peace.
00:14:15.320
Next number two on our list, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says that he has always been
00:14:22.860
The man who ran an election of running modest deficits, only to balloon into the largest
00:14:27.560
deficits in Canadian history, racking up more than $1.2 trillion in debt.
00:14:33.140
The growth of debt per day, according to the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, is more than
00:14:39.120
Your personal share of federal debt is now up over $30,000.
00:14:43.260
But no, no, Justin Trudeau has always been fiscally responsible.
00:14:47.360
We're going to continue to step up with investments in housing, in affordability, in supporting
00:14:52.600
stronger communities while we fight against increasing impacts of extreme weather events
00:14:59.060
And we're going to do it in a fiscally responsible way.
00:15:02.680
Because we have been so fiscally responsible over the past years, we have room to respond
00:15:10.920
We have the lowest deficit in the G7, the best debt-to-GDP ratio in the G7.
00:15:17.280
The international bond rating agencies have confirmed Canada's AAA rating.
00:15:22.900
We're the third largest economy in the world with a AAA rating after the U.S. and Germany.
00:15:29.880
So we will continue to be there with a responsible plan to invest in Canadians.
00:15:36.740
While the Conservatives continue to propose cuts in services and programs as a way of creating
00:15:44.980
growth, which makes absolutely no sense, we're going to keep investing in housing, in supporting
00:15:51.820
families, in building a better future while we fight climate change.
00:15:55.600
Now, speaking of fiscally responsible, Justin Trudeau also said that Canadians should use
00:16:02.320
Yes, if you're going back to school, if you want to go into debt to build a new home or
00:16:06.140
to expand on your home, just throw it on your credit card.
00:16:10.780
Here's Justin Trudeau talking in a town hall in Moncton, New Brunswick, back in April.
00:16:15.860
So, yes, you know, if you used your credit card for the first time, you're
00:16:21.800
using your credit card to invest in a huge flat-screen TV home theater system for your
00:16:28.260
basement, okay, you know, that's going to be something you're going to be paying off
00:16:32.620
But if you use your credit card to go back to school, or if you use your credit card,
00:16:37.940
you go into debt to build an expansion on your house that you're then going to be able
00:16:42.660
to sell your house for more, if you're making investments that are going to return, that
00:16:49.380
Because, quite frankly, confident economies invest in themselves.
00:16:56.300
And that's why Canada is looking so good for the future.
00:16:59.700
And our fiscal path is responsible, restrained, and is going to leave people with more opportunities,
00:17:08.760
So, yeah, I don't recommend taking financial advice from our Prime Minister, from the man
00:17:13.940
who is driving Canadians' fiscal future into the ground, the man who, under his watch,
00:17:27.340
Justin Trudeau says that he is fiscally responsible.
00:17:34.200
It's time for the top stupid thing a politician said in 2023.
00:17:38.920
This would go back to Justin Trudeau when he claimed, back in April, that he never forced
00:17:50.800
Justin Trudeau would have never, ever told anyone to get vaccinated.
00:17:56.140
Here is Justin Trudeau trying to make this claim.
00:17:58.680
My responsibility was to keep as many Canadians alive as possible.
00:18:04.560
And all of the scientists and the medical experts and the researchers, not just in Canada,
00:18:12.660
but around the world, understood that vaccination was going to be the way through this.
00:18:20.520
And therefore, while not forcing anyone to get vaccinated, I chose to make sure that all
00:18:27.840
the incentives and all the protections were there to encourage Canadians to get vaccinated.
00:18:35.440
We got vaccinated to a higher level than just about any other of our peer countries.
00:18:39.700
And that's why we had a less deadly pandemic than most other countries.
00:18:45.840
Now, I see a lot of people nodding along with that.
00:18:48.440
But boy, oh boy, you know, the comments section on the live stream right now is exploding with
00:19:02.860
It wasn't as if you would lose your job and lose your livelihood and not be able to travel,
00:19:06.620
not be able to get on a train or a plane without getting the shot.
00:19:11.300
It was just it was just a series of incentives.
00:19:13.640
And Justin Trudeau presided over a free country.
00:19:16.380
Must be nice to just simply get to revise the past, rewrite the past and to have many
00:19:20.520
Canadians nodding along saying, oh, yeah, that's right.
00:19:23.040
Justin Trudeau would never do something so vicious, so tyrannical as forcing people to
00:19:32.400
Canadian politicians really are very, very stupid and we shouldn't give them as much
00:19:40.540
I'm Candice Malcolm and this is The Candice Malcolm Show.
