00:01:06.000 And if you're having a great night, that means you probably watched the Republican National Convention.

00:01:10.000 What a phenomenal production.

00:01:12.000 I mean, I watched the whole thing from start to finish.

00:01:15.000 And it's hard for me to say this.

00:01:16.000 I think today was even better than yesterday.

00:01:18.000 There was not one speaker that did not fit the narrative, that did not make an argument from all sorts of different places of the country, all sorts of different age groups, all sorts of different belief systems, that President Donald Trump is worthy of four more years.

00:01:31.000 It was really incredible.

00:01:32.000 We're going to dive into so many different pieces of kind of that argument that was made tonight.

00:01:37.000 But here's some just a couple takeaways.

00:01:39.000 Every speaker tonight was able to communicate the humanity of Donald Trump, able to really dispel some lies of the American left and the activist media, which is very important, and was also able to show a compelling truth of how if Donald Trump is re-elected, their life will materially improve.

00:01:57.000 Now, look, President Donald Trump was dealt a very difficult hand this year. 0.73

00:02:01.000 The Chinese Communist Party sent over the Chinese coronavirus, and because of that, our entire country went into bedlam. 0.93

00:02:08.000 We shut down our country. 0.98

00:02:10.000 We lost over 165,000 Americans and counting.

00:02:14.000 And so for an incumbent to be able to make an argument to get re-elected in the midst of a crisis like that is pretty incredible.

00:02:21.000 But I want to just give credit to these Republican National Convention producers.

00:02:24.000 They did a phenomenal job.

00:02:26.000 The unified stage, actually having a crowd for Melania Trump, all of that, I think made a tremendous difference.

00:02:32.000 The production standpoint was world-class.

00:02:34.000 I think the aesthetics were phenomenal.

00:02:37.000 And so if you kind of look at how this has been reacted to, you see a lot of people in the middle and moderate Democrats, at least from what we have been analyzing from social media and other places, that are thinking very positively and favorably of this convention.

00:02:53.000 So let's start with just a couple of cuts.

00:02:55.000 For those of you that didn't watch the entire convention, let's start backwards. 0.87

00:02:58.000 Let's first start with Melania Trump.

00:03:00.000 So can we just do the intro for Melania Trump?

00:03:02.000 It was so incredible.

00:03:03.000 When you have someone as elegant as Melania Trump, the long intro right through the White House, right to the White House, right by the Rose Garden, and then right up to where she gave her speech was absolutely incredible.

00:03:16.000 I mean, the entrance alone was noteworthy.

00:03:20.000 And look, I think it was like 150 steps in heels on live national television.

00:03:26.000 And look, she was kind of born from that moment, if we're honest.

00:03:29.000 A runway model. 0.88

00:03:30.000 She's an immigrant. 1.00

00:03:32.000 Melania Trump is a woman who knows the American dream.

00:03:35.000 I love that she mentioned communism and the horrors that she saw firsthand.

00:03:39.000 She honored law enforcement and first responders.

00:03:42.000 She addressed the Chinese coronavirus head-on, which stood in dramatic contrast to most of the rest of the speakers.

00:03:49.000 And she did not attack the other side.

00:03:51.000 It was very strategic in her approach there.

00:03:55.000 And she expressed strong sympathy for the victims of the pandemic.

00:03:59.000 So, while we are pulling tape for Melania, let's actually go back to one of the other speakers that I thought was very compelling.

00:04:06.000 Do we have tape from Kentucky Attorney General, Kentucky Attorney General?

00:04:11.000 No, not yet.

00:04:12.000 Okay, we'll get there.

00:04:12.000 How about Eric Trump?

00:04:13.000 I thought Eric Trump had financially.

00:04:14.000 I know we have Eric Trump.

00:04:15.000 Actually, we do have Melania.

00:04:16.000 Let's get to Melania's tape right here.

00:04:18.000 And Melania's entrance, just watch his entrance.

00:04:21.000 You could not have designed a better Hollywood moment. 1.00

00:04:24.000 Show me another first lady who could have pulled this off. 1.00

00:04:26.000 play Melania Trump.

00:04:51.000 So just a couple of thoughts there.

00:04:53.000 First of all, 150 steps at least in heels, they're in back.

00:04:56.000 Not easy to do.

00:04:58.000 Second thing is that I just love the wardrobe.

00:05:00.000 I love the fashion choice.

00:05:02.000 It was kind of, I don't want to say it was camo-like, but it almost looked, I'm glad she did not wear a very long dress.

00:05:08.000 I thought it was very much, it was if the country right now is in a moment that needs action.

00:05:13.000 I thought that her wardrobe perfectly reflected it.

00:05:16.000 And I thought her message was terrific, just but also just everything from this convention has been thought out.

00:05:22.000 It has been put into action to have a reason for it.

00:05:26.000 And so, look, again, we want to go through Melania's Trump's remarks again.

00:05:30.000 I thought the most powerful part of her entire speech was how she framed Donald, as she called him, or President Trump, as someone who is going to fight for the middle class of this country.

00:05:40.000 And when you say he cannot do something, he is absolutely going to be able to do it.

00:05:45.000 Let's play some more tape from Melania Trump's speech.

00:05:48.000 To fight for school choice, giving parents more options to help their children flourish.

00:05:55.000 My husband knows how to make a real change.

00:05:59.000 From the day that I met him, he has only wanted to make this country the best it can be.

00:06:06.000 For many years, I watched him grow concerned and frustrated.

00:06:10.000 And I'm so proud to see the many things he has done in such a short time.

00:06:17.000 America is in his heart.

00:06:20.000 So while at times we only see the worst of people and politics on the evening news, let's remember how we come together in the most difficult times.

00:06:33.000 So that moment in particular, and she went on to say that when you say that Donald Trump can't do something, that is a great way to say that he can do it.

00:06:41.000 She was being able to be a softer, lighter touch of, let's just say, President Donald Trump tells blunt truth and he is able to communicate very directly to the American people.

00:06:52.000 Melania Trump has high favorability amongst suburban voters, swing voters, and independents, especially in Midwestern states.

00:06:59.000 Tonight, we also heard from Eric Trump and Tiffany Trump.

00:07:01.000 I consider both of them friends.

00:07:03.000 I thought they both delivered phenomenal speeches tonight. 0.99

00:07:06.000 Tiffany Trump in particular, her speech was definitely tailored more towards independent voters and persuadable voters.

00:07:13.000 Tiffany is a dear friend, and I saw her speak back in 2016.

00:07:17.000 And in this speech, she really had, I think, she had like a star-is born moment.

00:07:22.000 She talked about cancel culture.

00:07:23.000 She talked about big tech censorship and so much more.

00:07:27.000 Very, very proud of Tiffany Trump.

00:07:28.000 And I just want to make sure she gets the credit that I believe she deserves tonight for the stage that she stepped up so beautifully on.

00:07:35.000 Play tape of Tiffany Trump.

00:07:38.000 Make America Great Again is not a slogan for my father.

00:07:42.000 It is what drives him to keep his promise of doing what is right for American citizens.

00:07:49.000 The energy of change and opportunity is with us.

00:07:53.000 God has blessed us with unstoppable spirit.

00:07:56.000 His spirit, the American spirit, my dad has proven to be driven by that spirit.

00:08:02.000 He has demonstrated his faith in his uncompromising heart and actions.

00:08:07.000 My father has made me believe that America can truly be great again.

00:08:14.000 So Tiffany there was able, and there's other part where she talked about big tech censorship, but Tiffany, she really, I think, came up from this moment and stepped up to the plate phenomenally.

00:08:26.000 And look, so I think the best phrase there, and I wrote it down, is that make America great again is not his phrase.

00:08:30.000 It is your phrase.

00:08:31.000 It is our phrase as a country.

00:08:34.000 It is, you know, we talk about bringing our country out of a less than desirable situation and make America great again.

00:08:41.000 What does that actually mean?

00:08:42.000 It means that we can get our country back to greatness, back to prosperity, back to how incredible things once were.

00:08:50.000 And I think it's really important to say because the Democrats, a lot of their phrases are centered around the strategic brilliance of a specific central planner, where Make America Great Again is about we the people, which is in the preamble of our founding documents.

00:09:03.000 And so I think it's also really incredible how all of these speeches fit beautifully together, how we were able to see Tiffany Trump to Melania Trump make arguments for President Trump that were atypical than what you would have seen from just a typical political convention.

00:09:19.000 Tiffany Trump had a moment where she said, this is not even just about politics.

00:09:23.000 Try to transcend all party lines, try to transcend all political preconceptions, and instead vote around decency and reasonability, freedom of speech, and different ideas.

00:09:34.000 This is a common theme.

00:09:36.000 One big takeaway I have from this, and this is something I think that we are seeing from a lot of the speakers at the Republican National Convention, is that cancel culture and the idea of destroying people because of opposing ideas is wildly unpopular in the eyes of the American people.

00:09:53.000 In fact, we are seeing, I think that we saw at least five or six speakers tonight go out of their way to say that President Donald Trump is going to defend the free speech rights of all Americans.

00:10:03.000 This is a winning issue.

00:10:04.000 I'm so thrilled to hear this and to actually have speakers go out of their way to talk about how President Donald Trump is going to talk and advocate for first principles, freedom of speech, and freedom of expression.

00:10:16.000 Another speaker tonight, and I just consider this guy to be a total hero.

00:10:20.000 He is younger than I am.

00:10:21.000 I thought his speech was beautifully produced.

00:10:24.000 I think it could have gone with, I think, I wish the audio was a little bit better because you could hear some people behind it because it was obvious that they filmed it right at the Lincoln Memorial where this entire incident went down.

00:10:33.000 And I think it was terrific where they chose it.

00:10:35.000 It was Nicholas Sandman.

00:10:36.000 Nicholas Sandman, I mean, you want to talk about the ultimate level of just kind of breaking through.

00:10:43.000 Just, I mean, a lot of us in our life hope to achieve success.

00:10:47.000 Very few of us are going to be able to achieve success of where you are going to be on CNN bashing CNN while being paid by CNN.

00:10:56.000 This is someone that Hammer and Nigel said that on Twitter.

00:10:59.000 I think it's hilarious.

00:11:00.000 You may be cool, but you'll never be Nick Sandman on CNN bashing CNN and being paid by CNN.

00:11:05.000 A common theme throughout this convention is a culture fight, is that outside of just high taxes or low taxes or Democrats bad, Republicans good, this is a culture fight that we are going to lose our freedom of expression, our capacity to disagree, get in the marketplace of ideas and work things out.

00:11:22.000 And no one embodies that better than Nick Sandman playtate.

00:11:26.000 I learned what was happening to me had a name.

00:11:29.000 It was called being canceled, as in annulled, as in revoked, as in made void.

00:11:37.000 Canceled is what's happening to people around this country who refuse to be silenced by the far left.

00:11:43.000 Many are being fired, humiliated, or even threatened.

00:11:48.000 And often the media is a willing participant.

00:11:52.000 But I would not be canceled.

00:11:54.000 I fought back hard to expose the media for what they did to me, and I won a personal victory.

00:12:01.000 Well, much more must be done.

00:12:02.000 I look forward to the day that the media returns to providing balanced, responsible, and accountable news coverage.

00:12:10.000 I know President Trump hopes for that too.

00:12:13.000 So, for those of you that don't remember, Nick Sandman was the individual, and the way he articulated it was perfect.

00:12:17.000 And the story leading up to Nick Sandman's speech was phenomenal.

00:12:21.000 It's captivating television, where that agitator, that professional Native American activist, goes up and bangs the drum right in his face, trying to provoke him and trying to get the footage that, in Nick's own words, the footage that they needed.

00:12:35.000 And then you had Bill Maher, you had Don Lemon, the CNN elitists.

00:12:39.000 All of them, by the way, have really regretted what they did against Nicholas Sandman.

00:12:44.000 And then Nick was able to explain exactly why he did what he did.

00:12:47.000 He said, don't do anything that might embarrass your family.

00:12:49.000 And what does the media think of people like Nick Sandman, who are from the heartland of our country, that wear Make America Great Again hats?

00:12:56.000 What do they think of him?

00:12:57.000 They think he is the enemy.

00:12:58.000 They think that there is something completely and totally wrong with him.

00:13:01.000 And they went out on a pathological revenge campaign to try to destroy Nicholas Sandman.

00:13:05.000 But he truly gets the last laugh.

00:13:07.000 Do we have a clip of him actually putting on the Make America Great Again hat, or at least a still?

00:13:11.000 It's absolutely incredible.

00:13:12.000 When he put on the MAGA hat, it was one of my favorite moments because at the very end, he said, well, and we're going to make America Great Again, puts on the hat in front of the Lincoln Memorial.

00:13:19.000 Take that scene.

00:13:20.000 And while you're paying the severance to him, ultimate level of you are not going to bully us Trump supporters into total and complete submission.

00:13:29.000 And so if I was kind of looking from a public polling perspective, it is very persuadable.

00:13:35.000 It's very persuasive.

00:13:36.000 That's the best way I can put it.

00:13:37.000 Persuasive. 0.98

00:13:37.000 When you talk about people like Nicholas Sandman, you talk about the McCloskeys, you talk about suburban women that are going to determine this entire election. 0.98

00:13:45.000 That is going to be very hard for Democrats to go up against when they say, oh, Nick Salmon's actually a bad person.

00:13:50.000 For every mother out there that has a kid, for a son in particular, and you're worried about him being wrongly accused and his entire life being destroyed, can we put that up right now?

00:13:59.000 Is that on the screen?

00:14:01.000 Nick Salmon putting on the hat.

00:14:03.000 That is what victory looks like.

00:14:04.000 You guys want to know what 2020 is going to be?

00:14:06.000 You want to know the theme of this election?

00:14:08.000 That picture.

00:14:09.000 Print it out right now.

00:14:10.000 Put it on your refrigerator.

00:14:11.000 That's what it looks like.

00:14:12.000 It's, I'm going to put the hat on, even though you try to destroy my life. 0.98

00:14:15.000 You just try to destroy my family, publicly humiliate me, and entrap me by some lunatic Native American activist that came up and banged a drum in his face endlessly and filmed it. 0.68

00:14:23.000 Thanks, you guys, take it off. 0.92

00:14:25.000 That is exactly what victory looks like.

00:14:27.000 God bless you, Nicholas Sandman, for taking on the tough fights and for going out of your way to make sure that you stand for our country and stand for the next generation.

00:14:36.000 That's the other thing that I was really pleased to see.

00:14:37.000 Nick was a direct appeal to Generation Z. Generation Z, young Generation Z male voters in particular, they rightly feel under attack because they hold different views.

00:14:47.000 They feel that they are being assailed because of their beliefs.

00:14:50.000 They feel as if their entire life can be over if they put one bad thing on social media.

00:14:54.000 And Nick Sandman is the hero personified of all those things together.

00:14:59.000 And he deserves so much credit all together.

00:15:03.000 Another part of this, we don't have a clip for this, but I want to just mention this, is the Women for Trump montage.

00:15:07.000 I just got to give the campaign credit.

00:15:10.000 The imagery, the cinematography, the visuals of all of these videos that they play in between speakers that are five or six minutes long are phenomenal.

00:15:19.000 They should run them uninterrupted on cable television on any sort of advertising they can get their hands on.

00:15:24.000 The Women for Trump montage was phenomenal.

00:15:26.000 Brooke Rollins, a friend of mine, Katrina Pearson, Stephanie Grisham, Kaylee McNaney, Ronna McDaniel, Laura Trump, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Mercy Schlapp, and Kellyanne Conway, who of course is the first woman to ever manage a presidential campaign.

00:15:39.000 Brooke Rollins, a friend of mine who's head of all domestic policy at the White House, said something incredible.

00:15:43.000 That just out of senior staff at the White House, they have combined 75 kids together. 0.89

00:15:48.000 Never again do we want to hear the criticism that Donald Trump hates women. 0.85

00:15:51.000 He doesn't empower women. 0.99

00:15:52.000 It is outrageous. 1.00

00:15:53.000 It is baseless and quite honestly should be rejected wholeheartedly.

00:15:57.000 It is something that I think is one of the biggest lies that is told about this president: he does not empower women.

00:16:02.000 He has more women in senior positions in senior staffing positions at the White House than any other president on record.

00:16:09.000 I want to get to Secretary Mike Pompeo, who I thought was terrific straight from Jerusalem. 0.51

00:16:16.000 But before I also want to make one other point here, is that when our nation's stakes, when things are actually the stakes are the highest, President Trump has entrusted the toughest jobs to women.

00:16:26.000 And that is a great quote right from the video.

00:16:28.000 I'm just reading from some of my notes I was taking as I was watching this.

00:16:49.000 I want to get to Mike Pompeo, who is actually phenomenal from Jerusalem.

00:16:53.000 Now, you know that you're on the right path when House Democrats say they are going to subpoena and hold investigations because you gave a RNC acceptance speech in your personal capacity.

00:17:03.000 I just think they were mad that someone that is as well-respected and as popular as Senator Mike Pompeo made the arguments that he made at the Republican National Convention play tape. 0.71

00:17:14.000 He's pulled back the curtain on the predatory aggression of the Chinese Communist Party. 0.86

00:17:18.000 The president has held China accountable for covering up the China virus and allowing it to spread death and economic destruction in America and around the world. 0.94

00:17:28.000 Now, look, I'm not going to take credit for anything, but I was one of the first people to put the phrase China virus on Twitter. 0.92

00:17:35.000 I love the fact that Senator Mike Pompeo is unafraid to go after these fights, unafraid to take on China, call it the Chinese coronavirus, talking about lowering the temperature in North Korea, about how we armed Ukraine, we killed Qassam Soleimani, we moved the embassy to Jerusalem, the United Arab Emirates and Israel peace deal, and also bringing hostages home.

00:17:56.000 President Trump is the first president in my lifetime not to go start a foreign and reckless war overseas and send our loved ones and our middle-class patriots right into the conflict.

00:18:05.000 Senator Mike Pompeo articulated that beautifully and perfectly.

00:18:09.000 And he actually became the first ever Secretary of State to address a convention.

00:18:13.000 Of course, the House is trying to endlessly investigate him.

00:18:16.000 And that just shows that you're right over the mark.

00:18:18.000 Even though there were no government resources made in the creation of the speech, there are no public assistance at all whatsoever.

00:18:23.000 Mike Pompeo talks about the successful foreign policy accomplishments of President Donald Trump.

00:18:29.000 And Senator Rand Paul also touched on this as well.

00:18:32.000 Senator Ram Paul is probably my favorite senator in the entire United States Senate.

00:18:35.000 He's a friend of mine, playtape of Rand Paul.

00:18:38.000 I'm supporting President Trump because he believes as I do that a strong America cannot fight endless wars. 0.85

00:18:47.000 We must not continue to leave our blood and treasure in Middle East quagmires. 0.73

00:18:53.000 I flew with him to Dover Air Force Base to honor two soldiers whose remains were coming home from Afghanistan.

00:19:00.000 I'll never forget that evening. 0.72

00:19:02.000 I can tell you the president not only felt the pain of these families, but the president is committed to ending this war.

00:19:10.000 President Trump is the first president in a generation to seek to end war rather than start one.

00:19:17.000 He intends to end the war in Afghanistan.

00:19:19.000 He is bringing our men and women home. 0.98

00:19:23.000 Presidents who end wars get re-elected.

00:19:26.000 Let me say that again.

00:19:27.000 Presidents who end wars get re-elected.

00:19:31.000 And this is something that President Trump is doing that no other president in the modern era has actually had the courage to go out of their way to try to end these endless wars.

00:19:40.000 And this is something that, quite honestly, is contrarian to the Republican orthodoxy.

00:19:45.000 This is contrarian to how the Republican establishment is supposed to view political strategy.

00:19:51.000 However, President Trump says, why are we spending hundreds of billions of dollars in Afghanistan, losing thousands of our loved ones, so that we can try and bring ideas that are not palatable at all in the region for people that brutally hate us and do not share our worldview?

00:20:05.000 President Donald Trump heroically and is correctly trying to end the endless wars.

00:20:11.000 President Trump being the voice for middle-class Americans, by the way, if you want to win Wisconsin, you want to win Minnesota, you want to win Ohio, it is those states paired with the southern states that are sending the most people into our armed forces.

00:20:23.000 They are the ones that have had to see their loved ones go overseas to die for a cause that they themselves cannot clearly articulate after 15, 16, 17 years.

00:20:33.000 And so President Trump, I'm so pleased to hear Rand Paul talk about that.

00:20:36.000 And it's true.

00:20:37.000 My conversations with President Trump echo that completely. 0.93

00:20:40.000 When I spend time with the president, he talks about how ridiculous these wars are.

00:20:44.000 And he asks, what does success look like? 0.51

00:20:47.000 What does victory look like in the Kandahar Valley?

00:20:50.000 Why did we invade Iraq in the first place?

00:20:52.000 Which I believe, and President Trump has said this for years, that the invasion of Iraq was one of the worst foreign policy decisions in American history.

00:21:01.000 And so you saw, you heard Mike Pompeo talking about how President Trump has not been a dove in the Middle East, but instead he has been a tactician, picking off certain terrorists when they dare come up against American interests, negotiating peace against the United Emirates and Israel, moving the embassy to Jerusalem, recognizing the Golan Heights, but also withdrawing from Afghanistan and recognizing that endless quagmires 3,000 miles away, where 2,216 people have died in Afghanistan.

00:21:30.000 And if Afghanistan in that much better of a place since we have invaded it, where 2,216 of our young warriors, men, and women have died overseas, it is unacceptable that we have been in that region for as long as we have been.

00:21:43.000 And guess what?

00:21:44.000 The Democrats have nothing to say about this.

00:21:46.000 They have no response at all whatsoever.

00:21:48.000 They always like to think of themselves as the party of peace.

00:21:51.000 One of the reasons why President Trump is able to win over traditional Democrat voters is because President Donald Trump is able to communicate to middle-class workers that he is no longer going to send their sons and their daughters halfway around the world to go fight for something that quite honestly is a mission that victory cannot be clearly argued for.

00:22:13.000 Oh, we're going to be there endlessly, or we have to be there or else they're going to kill us here is no longer an argument that is going to resonate with the middle class of this country.

00:22:20.000 And that is how you go win the Midwest.

00:22:22.000 That is how you win Ohio.

00:22:23.000 That is how you win Michigan, Pennsylvania, and other states.

00:22:26.000 So another speaker that I want to, I think we have the Eric Trump quote.

00:22:29.000 I think we talked about that earlier.

00:22:30.000 Let's pull up Eric Trump.

00:22:32.000 I love this part when he addressed his father directly.

00:22:34.000 I thought it was one of the most powerful parts the entire evening.

00:22:37.000 Eric is a friend of mine, Playtate.

00:22:39.000 Boo, my father will continue to fight for you.

00:22:45.000 In closing, I'd like to speak directly to my father.

00:22:48.000 I miss working alongside you every single day, but I'm damn proud to be on the front lines of this fight.

00:24:32.000 As if President Trump is, yes, a president, he's a businessman, he's a billionaire, he's a mogul, but he's also a father.

00:24:42.000 And our condolences go to the entire Trump family that is mourning the loss of President Trump's brother and the uncle of Don and Tiffany and Ivanka and Baron and Eric this week.

00:24:58.000 Now, whoever on the political team came up with the brilliant idea to have the naturalization ceremony filmed, make them in charge of all of the programming decisions.

00:25:14.000 So if you, I don't know if you guys saw this or not, but the president and acting Department of Homeland Security director Chad Wolf, they decided right near the top of the hour, right before I believe it was Mike Pompeo and Eric Trump and Melania Trump, there was a decision to film a naturalization ceremony.

00:25:36.000 Number one, it shows the humanity of Donald Trump.

00:25:39.000 Number two, it shows and it dispels the lies of the left.

00:28:10.000 Now, some of that is, of course, just historical reciting of tradition, but it's actually really important that you are now a member of the great American family.

00:28:21.000 And they all, based on the descriptions that were provided, were working, spoke English.

00:28:26.000 All five of those individuals, based on the criteria that President Trump has put forward as what a citizen should be in our country, they met them beautifully off the charts.

00:28:38.000 And that's what I thought was so cool about it: throughout the Democrats had that ridiculous moment where these illegals were on the couch and they said, we deserve free stuff. 0.56

00:28:49.000 Donald Trump wants to throw us out.

00:28:50.000 Yet, Donald Trump comes through the door.

00:28:53.000 They say, ladies and gentlemen, the President of the United States walks right into a naturalization ceremony.

00:28:57.000 You could just see the people on the left lose their mind the moment that Donald Trump goes straight up to the podium and talks about the need for legal immigration, not illegal border jumping, not illegal border hopping into our country.

00:29:12.000 And this is a great difference because, and look, I think that if we really talk about what differentiates President Trump from the Democrats, it is President Trump stands for the rule of law.

00:29:24.000 He stands for the Constitution.

00:29:26.000 He stands for sane immigration policy.

00:29:29.000 And I thought this was, I get more messages on this particular moment, more so than any other moment tonight, except maybe Tiffany's speech, which a lot of people texted me because they knew I know Tiffany, I know Eric, and also Melania's speech. 0.53

00:29:42.000 So if we look at what citizenship actually is, citizenship should always benefit the country of which they are immigrating into.

00:29:50.000 And if all of a sudden we view citizenship as this degraded, devalued border jumping exercise that anyone can become a citizenship, sitting citizen, and citizenship means nothing, then all of a sudden we have destroyed and disintegrated this tradition that we have in our country.

00:30:06.000 And it was connected beautifully, indirectly, but it was done beautifully when Melania Trump also talked about how she was an illegal immigrant in this country and she struggled to get into America.

00:30:21.000 I think we have this clip of Lydia Brodine when she was talking to Vice President Pence.

00:30:27.000 Vice President Pence is also a friend of mine.

00:30:30.000 Vice President Pence was playing Oprah tonight.

00:30:32.000 He was basically, he had the documentary special where he was kind of playing a host.

00:30:37.000 I thought he was phenomenal.

00:30:39.000 I thought Vice President Pence was better than Oprah back when Oprah wasn't a mean, bitter, angry person that wanted to destroy our country and talks about how awful our history is.

00:30:47.000 I thought Vice President Pence was terrific as being able to get people to tell their stories about the beauty of America.

00:32:04.000 And of course, America has made mistakes and individuals in America have made missteps.

00:32:08.000 But how do we approach those missteps?

00:32:10.000 Is it with anger and venom and repudiation of everything that we have been given?

00:32:14.000 Instead, it is an embrace of this heroic journey of our country that the next 100 years can be even better than what predated us or what preceded us.

00:32:24.000 And again, I want to just give Vice President Mike Pence.

00:32:28.000 He was absolutely terrific.

00:32:30.000 I think that throughout this, he talked about Abraham Lincoln.

00:32:34.000 He was compassionate.

00:32:40.000 Every single story, every second of programming was basically saying like California, New York, you guys are citizens of this country, but this is a political convention.

00:34:12.000 This is the brilliance of the Trump strategy.

00:34:15.000 The foolishness of the Democrat National Convention strategy is like, let's boost our numbers in Malibu and Manhattan.

00:34:22.000 President Trump's like, we're going to go win Maine.

00:34:34.000 Four years ago, the Obama-Biden administration used the Antiquities Act to order thousands of square miles of ocean off limits to commercial fishermen.

00:34:46.000 Although Maine's lobstermen don't fish there, Obama's executive order offended us greatly.

00:34:51.000 It circumvented the Fisheries Council's input.

00:34:54.000 President Trump reversed that decision, reinstating the rules that allow stakeholder input.

00:35:00.000 And he supports a process that seeks and respects fishermen's views.

00:35:05.000 And so that is a middle-class American that had his life almost destroyed under President Donald Trump in the state of Maine, where Donald Trump won one electoral vote.

00:35:14.000 And President Donald Trump delivered real results for Mainers and lobstermen.

00:35:19.000 And a lot of us enjoy lobster, maybe all across the country, but we kind of forget that it's American citizens and American jobs that are reliant on American jobs that are producing the lobster that all of us enjoy as a luxury item all across the country.

00:35:34.000 And so that's just one example of the brilliance of the political strategy that I think the Trump campaign was employing tonight was being able to say, we want to go win Maine.

00:35:43.000 We want to go win Minnesota.

00:35:44.000 The mayor from Minnesota was also terrific.

00:35:46.000 And these kind of real-life middle-class testimonies were phenomenal.

00:35:50.000 Another part of the evening that I just thought was so moving, the language and the narrative, was Billy Graham's granddaughter, Sissy Graham Lynch.

00:36:00.000 I've got to know her.

00:36:01.000 She's very smart, very capable.

00:36:04.000 She loves the Lord.

00:36:05.000 She proclaims Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world.

00:36:07.000 And she had some fighting words for the secular left Democrats.

00:37:22.000 Billy Graham's granddaughter talks about how marijuana and cannabis dispensaries remained open while churches were forcibly closed.

00:37:30.000 I talked about in my remarks last night that churches are more important than casinos, that churches are more important than strip clubs like they are in New Jersey, why churches are more important than even Lowe's or Home Depot.

00:37:42.000 And yet this entire lockdown has gone to show that our government, absent Donald Trump, our state and local leaders, do not believe that salvation is essential and they do not believe that church is essential.

00:37:54.000 Now, a lot of people are going out of their way to attack Billy Graham and Franklin Graham.

00:37:59.000 But by doing so, they do not even recognize that it is Franklin Graham and it is their organization that mobilized the Central Park to go help their fellow Americans that were suffering from the Chinese coronavirus.

00:38:13.000 And we forget the horror that people of faith had to live through under Barack Obama.

00:38:19.000 Thank you, Sissy Graham, for reminding us what Joe Biden and Barack Obama did to people of faith.

00:38:25.000 The Joe Biden campaign, they are freaking out tonight.

00:38:28.000 The Biden campaign knows they have a messaging deficit to make up from.

00:38:32.000 And there's a lot of structural problems with how the Biden campaign is now going to try to make up for this.

00:38:38.000 They're going to try to run even more paid advertising that is rooted in complete and total falsehoods.

00:38:43.000 But the Trump campaign, by elevating and platforming people like Sissy Graham, people of faith, to talk about these cultural issues, like the Maine lobsterman or the Wisconsin dairy farmer, which I think we're going to get to in a second.

00:39:00.000 Now, I want to just tell you guys right now, I pour over the electoral map.

00:39:04.000 I spend hours a week going through the electoral map at different combinations.

00:39:08.000 I know what it's going to take to get President Trump to win to 270 electoral votes.

00:39:14.000 But all of a sudden, if you start talking about winning some of these states, like Maine, and of course, carrying Arizona, Iowa, Ohio, North Carolina, as I call the core four, and then, of course, taking Florida, all you got to do is win one more on top of that.

00:39:27.000 Then you got to win Florida plus one.

00:39:29.000 So in the core four, core four, Florida, and then plus one.

00:39:33.000 And that one, and of course, you got to hold Georgia, which I think is a no-brainer, hold Texas, which is going to happen.

00:39:38.000 But if you hold, if you do the core four, which is Arizona, Iowa, Ohio, North Carolina, which is four states that Barack Obama won in 2008, if you do the core four plus one, President Donald Trump gets re-elected as president of the United States.

00:39:51.000 However, if you win the core four plus Minnesota and you do not win the first congressional district in Maine, then forget it.

00:40:00.000 You are not elected president of the United States.

00:40:01.000 That one vote in Maine, which President Donald Trump is probably going to win again, could bring him over the top.

00:40:07.000 Pennsylvania is going to determine a lot of the electoral vote, by the way, a lot of it.

00:40:11.000 But I think Minnesota is absolutely in play.

00:40:13.000 You know what's so funny about Minnesota?

00:40:14.000 And I think we have the mayor of Minnesota in there, and we're going to get there in a mayor of a town in Minnesota, which is from the Iron Belt.

00:40:25.000 But the one funny thing about Minnesota, it is the only state outside of the District of Columbia that Ronald Reagan did not win in that triumphant win in 1984.

00:40:34.000 If Donald Trump wins the White House for re-election, similar to Reagan by winning the one state that Reagan did not win, Washington, D.C., of course, not being a state.

00:54:09.000 He called out Biden's you ain't black comment better than any other person, except maybe Senator Tim Scott last night.

00:54:16.000 Very effective, talking about diversity of thought and then powerfully said, Look at me.

00:54:26.000 And he is definitely a rising powerhouse in the Republican Party.

01:08:26.000 In almost all of the key battleground states right now, I'm going to share some numbers with you guys.

01:08:31.000 Trends are heading in President Trump's direction when it comes to the virus.

01:08:35.000 If you actually look at, let's take, for example, some of the Sunbelt states.

01:08:40.000 Let's take Florida, for example.

01:08:41.000 They reached their peak almost six weeks ago, where they had 11,870 daily new cases.

01:08:48.000 That has been cut by almost 75%.

01:08:51.000 You are looking at the Sunbelt, like Arizona, Florida, and Texas.

01:08:54.000 A lot of their summer peaks are actually going down.

01:08:57.000 And so President Trump, I think on Thursday, has to communicate that.

01:09:00.000 And look, by mid-September, if the virus becomes a backseat issue, President Trump is going to have a phenomenal coalition of support to get him to win four more years.

01:09:14.000 We are seeing riots like never before due to the recent shooting.

01:09:16.000 How do you see the riots affecting the polls?

01:09:17.000 It's not going to help Democrats.

01:12:25.000 150 steps in heels, coming down the rose garden, taking that epic left turn, giving a speech to unite our country as an immigrant, someone who speaks six languages, someone who loves her husband and loves her country, all capped off while President Trump and her walk past that.

01:12:45.000 The Republican National Convention, a celebration of the greatest country ever to exist in the history of the world.
