00:01:12.000 Hey, everybody.
00:01:13.000 Welcome to this live broadcast of the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:01:17.000 I just feel great about my country tonight.
00:01:19.000 I don't know about you.
00:01:20.000 And I hope you guys were watching the Republican National Convention.
00:01:23.000 What an incredible contrast from last week to this week, where we saw a celebration of America tonight.
00:01:29.000 I was honored to participate.
00:01:32.000 Let off the convention this evening talking about how President Trump is the bodyguard of Western civilization.
00:01:39.000 How President Trump and this election is not just the most important election of our lifetime, but the most important election of all the combined lifetimes since 1860.
00:01:48.000 And I think what the Republican National Convention did an amazing job of, and I just want to really take a moment right now, and I think you would all agree, the staging, the cuts, the speakers, the way the speeches were written, absolutely incredible, professional, world class.
00:02:04.000 The Republicans tonight made the Democrats look like fools.
00:02:09.000 It looked like the Republicans were the party of Hollywood tonight, and the Republicans really had a very coherent message.
00:02:15.000 And there are a couple of highlights.
00:02:17.000 We're going to play some clips throughout tonight.
00:02:18.000 But here are my initial takeaways.
00:02:20.000 First of all, Senator Tim Scott, phenomenal.
00:02:22.000 One of the best speeches I've heard at a convention.
00:02:24.000 And I spoke in the same room that Senator Tim Scott spoke in.
00:02:28.000 And I could tell you it is not easy to give that kind of speech to no people there for obvious reasons with restrictions and lockdowns and the virus.
00:02:35.000 But Senator Tim Scott really leaned into the moment.
00:02:38.000 He was able to communicate very effectively.
00:02:40.000 And I can only imagine that it is very, let's say, it's not a very good night for CNN or for the Democrat National Convention.
00:02:47.000 Now, mind you, all of this was on top of President Trump traveling to North Carolina today, doing multiple stops, officially accepting the nomination of the party.
00:02:56.000 But there was one part that I thought was the most persuasive part in the framing of President Donald Trump.
00:03:02.000 I tried to also do this in my remarks as well, of which I was very honored to be able to give and something that has been traveling very, very well and been getting a lot of positive Positive feedback.
00:03:12.000 So, thank you for that.
00:03:13.000 But one of the parts that I think was very interesting was the framing of President Trump with the hostages.
00:03:18.000 You know, there's been so much that has been happening recently.
00:03:21.000 I don't want to say we forget about it, but it is easy to not focus on it considering all the other news cycles in it, although the news cycle and issues happening right now.
00:03:31.000 So, President Trump, in that very good, in that very effective framing where the president was in the center or with the hostages around him, it was almost this very, very well-staged statement, and the president looking very much in control and command with the hostages around him was the president saying without saying, Look, you might not always like my tone or my tweets, but all of you are here on American soil because of me.
00:04:01.000 It was really effective the way they did that.
00:04:03.000 And one of the other speakers as well tonight, Mario Alvarez, I believe that was his name, Maximo.
00:04:08.000 I'm sorry, Maximo Alvarez.
00:04:09.000 We're getting an exact name check.
00:04:10.000 I mean, no offense if I don't get it specific off the top of my head.
00:04:14.000 He said something really terrific.
00:04:15.000 He said, President Trump might not be the most politically correct president, but he gets stuff done for our country.
00:04:21.000 And one of the constant Maximo Alvarez, yep, that was just out of memory.
00:04:25.000 So it was a very moving speech.
00:04:28.000 And the speech, you could tell he was being very deliberate in how he was telling his fleet from totalitarian socialism into freedom here in our country.
00:04:37.000 The best part of that speech, one of the best lines of the entire evening, was when he said, There's nowhere left to go.
00:04:43.000 I mean, that is the mic drop moment of mic drop moments.
00:04:45.000 I mean, this country that we live in, the greatest country ever to exist in the history of the world, the most generous, the most benevolent, the most accepting, the most forward-thinking country ever, it was a celebration of that country tonight.
00:04:55.000 And there you have Maximo Alvarez, who basically says, Where else are we supposed to go?
00:05:01.000 We fled totalitarianism.
00:05:03.000 We fled the gunfire.
00:05:04.000 We know the type of authoritarian dictatorship that can happen if you give power to the Democrats.
00:05:12.000 And he said, There's nowhere left to go.
00:05:13.000 And I thought that kind of framing really put forth a sense of urgency.
00:05:16.000 For those of us that are patriots and actually love our country, it was so refreshing to see a convention where the entire theme was saying good things about America, being thankful, not angry about America.
00:05:27.000 This is one of the things that I try to communicate in my remarks where I was talking about we are going to get our kids to love America again, that we are going to get the next generation to actually think highly of this beautiful gift that we have been given.
00:05:42.000 Now, I want to get through some of these clips.
00:05:44.000 And again, our team here on the Charlie Kirk show, we are moving in rapid speed.
00:05:47.000 So I want to confirm that they are ready to play a couple clips.
00:05:50.000 And we are, are we ready to play a couple clips?
00:05:53.000 So I want to play Herschel Walker.
00:05:55.000 Herschel Walker played for University of Georgia, Heisman Trophy winner.
00:05:58.000 He actually played for Donald Trump on the New Jersey Generals.
00:06:01.000 He had one of the best moments the entire night.
00:06:03.000 Play tape.
00:06:04.000 Loving father, he is.
00:06:06.000 It hurt my soul to hear the terrible name that people call Donald.
00:06:10.000 The worst one is racist.
00:06:12.000 I take it as a personal insult that people would think I've had a 37-year friendship with the races.
00:06:18.000 People who think that don't know what they're talking about.
00:06:21.000 Growing up in the deep south, I've seen racism up close.
00:06:25.000 I know what it is, and it isn't Donald Trump.
00:06:30.000 Phenomenal.
00:06:31.000 I mean, look, the framing of that is terrific.
00:06:33.000 Unlike all of the other prognosticators and the pundits on cable television, Herschel Walker has an actual personal relationship with President Donald Trump.
00:06:42.000 And he almost puts it, one of the themes of tonight, which I really enjoyed, and Senator Tim Scott and Herschel Walker both really did this effectively, is they put the Democrats on defense tonight.
00:06:53.000 It wasn't just dispelling the lies, it was challenging the lies and the falsehoods of what we had to endure last week through the mass propaganda machine of the Democrat National Convention and saying, wait a second, you're trying to call me a black individual who grew up in the deep south being friends with a racist?
00:07:08.000 I don't think so.
00:07:08.000 And a lot of the networks, by the way, that did air this on cable television, that their entire day-to-day programming is trying to delegitimize the president.
00:07:16.000 I can just imagine how a lot of the viewers are saying, wait a second, I remember Herschel Walker playing football.
00:07:23.000 Maybe there's something to exactly what he is saying.
00:07:25.000 And there absolutely is.
00:07:27.000 And so this was something that I was very pleased to see.
00:07:29.000 That first and foremost, the framing of tonight was the biggest picture question that we can ask as voters.
00:07:36.000 What kind of America do we want to have for the next 10 years, next 50 years, next 100 years?
00:07:42.000 What kind of a country are we and where are we going?
00:07:46.000 And every speaker in their own capacity and in their own way answered that question.
00:07:50.000 Most importantly, most, I should say, most effectively out of all of them, Senator Tim Scott, I think, and alongside my friend Donald Trump Jr., who did a phenomenal job, framed it as if you make the wrong choice in November, the entire civilization that we are living in might cease to exist.
00:08:08.000 Senator Tim Scott had a beautiful line here.
00:08:10.000 I think we have it queued up about what the Democrats actually want when it comes to utopia, play tape.
00:08:18.000 That is not what is happening.
00:08:20.000 Our side is working on policy while Joe Biden's radical Democrats are trying to permanently transform what it means to be an American.
00:08:31.000 Make no mistake.
00:08:33.000 Joe Biden and Kamala Harris want a cultural revolution, a fundamentally different America.
00:08:41.000 If we let them, they will turn our country into a socialist utopia.
00:08:46.000 And history has taught us that path only leads to pain and misery, especially for hardworking people hoping to rise.
00:08:57.000 Phenomenal.
00:08:58.000 Thank you, Senator Tim Scott, for taking such a powerful and declarative stand for truth tonight.
00:09:05.000 It would have been very easy for Senator Tim Scott to do what most Republican senators do, which is just kind of say, Joe Biden and the Democrats are going to do nothing but raise your taxes, which he did talk about.
00:09:16.000 But instead, he went there.
00:09:17.000 He played offense tonight.
00:09:19.000 He used the words cultural revolution.
00:09:21.000 That is a hat tip and a warning to those of us that study history to Mao Cedong.
00:09:27.000 That is what Mao Cedong called his massive campaign of murder, division, and socialist promises all throughout the Chinese communist campaign that he really built and we're still experiencing.
00:09:38.000 Campaign's not the right word, but crusade.
00:09:40.000 Senator Tim Scott was as bold to go out of his way to say they're going to try to create a socialist utopia that is poking right in the eyes of the central planners and the Democrat tyrants and the ruling class.
00:09:53.000 Thank you, Senator Tim Scott.
00:09:54.000 It would have been very easy for him to try to try to play in the mushy middle, right?
00:09:58.000 It would have been very easy for him to say, you know, while we agree to disagree, kind of the typical non-fighting ethic of Republicans.
00:10:05.000 But Senator Tim Scott, I think, deserves to be commended tonight for saying they want to have a cultural revolution.
00:10:12.000 So this kind of goes back to the roots of cultural Marxism.
00:10:16.000 Marxism, as it is growing in our country, is more than just an economic theory.
00:10:20.000 It's way more than that.
00:10:21.000 It's also a cultural movement.
00:10:24.000 This was theorized by Antonio Gramsci.
00:10:27.000 I never get the pronunciation completely right.
00:10:29.000 I believe it's Gramsci.
00:10:30.000 We'll get a clarification on that.
00:10:32.000 I read it more than I say it, where he argued that Marxists should not just have an economic message, but a cultural message.
00:10:39.000 Destroy the country around you.
00:10:39.000 What does that mean?
00:10:41.000 Do not no longer believe in the symbols or the history of the country that we are living in.
00:10:49.000 Antonio Gramsci said this in a way to try to create a cultural identity for Marxists.
00:10:55.000 Now, when Tim Scott now says they're trying to have a cultural revolution, we should be applauding Republican senators for calling this out for what it is.
00:11:04.000 This is no longer just a fight in economic terms.
00:11:06.000 This is no longer just a fight of high taxes and low taxes, more regulation, less regulation.
00:11:11.000 This is where Mitt Romney failed tremendously.
00:11:14.000 And Senator Tim Scott had the courage, and he's going to get really attacked by the mainstream press and the activist media for this.
00:11:20.000 And that's exactly how you know he's on the right path for saying that the Democrats and the far left-wing radicals, they, first and foremost, are focusing on trying to change the fabric of the country.
00:11:33.000 It's not that just Joe Biden and Alexandria Kaiser-Cortez and Rashida Taliban, Ayana Presley, and all the radicals and the Bolsheviks within the Democrat Party.
00:11:40.000 It's not that they just want a different economic scenario that we're living in.
00:11:44.000 They want a different culture altogether.
00:11:46.000 I mentioned this in my speech as well, and I do want to get to that in just a second, kind of play this idea of the American way of life.
00:11:52.000 But also, Senator Tim Scott said they want to create a socialist utopia.
00:11:56.000 Now, if you actually look at the root of the word utopia, it comes from the first person that we really know of that used it in literature was a gentleman by the name of Thomas Moore.
00:12:05.000 You actually look at what the word utopia means, it means nowhere.
00:12:07.000 And so Tim Scott then goes directly at these radical revolutionaries and calls them out for exactly what they're trying to create.
00:12:14.000 It's not that they're just trying to create things that are marginally better.
00:12:16.000 They're trying to create heaven on earth, which we know will assuredly lead to hell on earth.
00:12:22.000 It takes a lot of courage for a Republican senator to say that.
00:12:24.000 By name, he called out Joe Biden and Senator Harris.
00:12:28.000 And so I know I'm focusing on Senator Tim Scott, but I think that out of all the speeches tonight, the person that surprised me the most was Senator Tim Scott.
00:12:36.000 And I mean this because he is traditionally, in my observation, an establishment Republican who will not always engage in some of these conversations and this dialogue.
00:12:44.000 And he stepped into it beautifully.
00:12:46.000 He defended the president.
00:12:47.000 He dispelled these myths that the president is somehow a racist and a demagogue.
00:12:51.000 And he also confronted the troubling and let's say horrific racial past of the Democrats and of Joe Biden.
00:13:00.000 This was a very effective presentation that Senator Tim Scott had throughout his speech.
00:13:05.000 And I think one of the greatest lines through his speech was towards the end where he said, and I'm paraphrasing here, my family went from picking cotton into the halls of Congress.
00:13:14.000 And what he said without saying it, and for viewers that were watching it, I could just imagine, because the activist media is so incredibly dishonest to the rest of the population.
00:13:22.000 A lot of people said, wow, I never knew the Republicans had a black senator because the activist media has been covering for that for quite some time.
00:13:30.000 They make it seem as if the Republicans are backwards outdated and nothing more than just a very specific identity group.
00:13:36.000 Let's actually play tape right here of what I was just mentioning.
00:13:41.000 That is not what is happening.
00:13:44.000 Our side is working on politics.
00:13:48.000 Father's 99th birthday would have been tomorrow.
00:13:52.000 Growing up, he had to cross the street if a white person was coming.
00:13:58.000 He suffered the indignity of being forced out of school as a third grader to pick cotton, and he never learned to read or write.
00:14:09.000 Yet, he lived long enough to see his grandson become the first African American to be elected to both the United States House and the United States Senate in the history of this country.
00:14:22.000 Our family went from cotton to Congress in one lifetime.
00:14:29.000 And that's why I believe the next American century can be better than the last.
00:14:36.000 That is stealing the narrative from the Democrats, as effectively as I can tell.
00:14:40.000 It's someone who says positive things about America that grew up in a troubled environment in his own description and rejects the premise that America is a racist country.
00:14:49.000 And this was actually a theme that I think the Republicans were.
00:14:52.000 I want to praise the Republicans.
00:14:53.000 Nikki Haley also said this as well tonight, and we're going to play that tape in just a second.
00:14:57.000 But when Senator Tim Scott dives into these discussions that the left has tried to frame as non-negotiables, like we can't have a conversation on it, when we actually play offense on this, we win.
00:15:08.000 You see, the Democrats are betting that we as Republicans and we as conservatives, and first and foremost, we as patriotic Americans will not actually engage and dive into some of these more, let's say, I don't even want to call it controversial because I don't even think that's fair.
00:15:24.000 But I think that it's more apt to say that the left tries to make it a non-negotiable issue.
00:15:31.000 And so when we look at the entire kind of arc of the evening, it's very interesting to see how it was capped off by a series of individuals that at one point were actually not very favorable to President Trump.
00:15:45.000 This is the untold issue.
00:15:47.000 This is the untold story, I should say, of tonight, where you had former governor and former Ambassador Nikki Haley, who was not very favorable to Donald Trump, Senator Tim Scott, who was not very favorable to Donald Trump, both speaking in prime time at their convention.
00:16:00.000 I give them both credit for doing that.
00:16:02.000 Do we have tape of Nikki Haley?
00:16:03.000 Or we're still pulling that?
00:16:05.000 Still pulling on that.
00:16:07.000 I think we do have Andrew Pollack, though.
00:16:08.000 Do we have Andrew Pollock?
00:16:09.000 Let's put up Andrew Pollock, who I know Andrew.
00:16:12.000 He's phenomenal.
00:16:13.000 He had one of the best moments of the entire convention of the evening, and he tragically lost his daughter, Meadow, at a school shooting in southern Florida.
00:16:23.000 This got widely positive remarks from people all across the political aisle.
00:16:27.000 Play tape.
00:16:28.000 Then the president did what he said he would do.
00:16:31.000 He took action.
00:16:33.000 He formed a school safety commission that issued dozens of recommendations to make schools safer.
00:16:39.000 But I'll bet you never heard about that.
00:16:41.000 Instead, the media turned my daughter's murder and went to a coordinated attack on President Trump, Republicans, and our Second Amendment.
00:16:51.000 In fact, when President Trump asked me and other parents of children that were murdered in school shootings to join him as he announced the commission's findings, the media's first question wasn't about protecting kids.
00:17:04.000 Shockingly, they asked about the government shutdown.
00:17:09.000 And so, look, Andrew Pollack, I think, very effectively dispelled and took off the table one of the major coalition issues for the Democrats.
00:17:18.000 So if you kind of look at the states that President Trump needs to win, by the way, President Trump, according to the latest poll, is tied in Minnesota.
00:17:26.000 Tied.
00:17:27.000 President Trump is tied with Joe Biden in the state of Minnesota.
00:17:29.000 And this is just four days ago, thehill.com.
00:17:32.000 I'm going to read this from you.
00:17:33.000 President, read this to you.
00:17:35.000 President Trump and Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden are statistically tied in Minnesota.
00:17:39.000 The latest from the Trafalgar group, which actually accurately predicted the 2016 election more so than any other group.
00:17:45.000 Now, why is it that Donald Trump is surging in the industrial Midwest because of crime, looting, riots, arson, and what you see happening in Wisconsin right now, where they are trying to burn down all of Kenosha, Wisconsin, a place that I know really well.
00:17:57.000 I have lots of friends.
00:17:58.000 I have lots of people that I really care about in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
00:18:01.000 The more the message of protecting Second Amendment rights and protecting our children, like Andrew Pollack brilliantly articulated in his remarks, resonate.
00:18:10.000 If you look at firearm sales throughout the last, just the last couple months, we have sold more guns already in this year than all of 2019 combined.
00:18:20.000 I think that guns and firearms and Second Amendment and personal protection actually might end up being one of the winning issues for President Trump, especially in the Midwest.
00:18:28.000 And the McCloskeys spoke tonight.
00:18:30.000 The McCloskeys, of course, are being unfairly persecuted because they dared protect themselves against an insurrectionist and terrorist mob.
00:18:38.000 Play tape.
00:18:40.000 It seems as if the Democrats no longer view the government's job as protecting honest citizens from criminals, but rather protecting criminals from honest citizens.
00:18:52.000 Not a single person in the out-of-control mob you saw in our house was charged with a crime.
00:18:58.000 But you know who was?
00:19:00.000 We were.
00:19:01.000 They've actually charged us with felonies for daring to defend our home.
00:19:08.000 Now, mind you, they never discharged their weapon, correct?
00:19:10.000 Is that right?
00:19:11.000 I'm just getting a fact check from the production team.
00:19:13.000 They never discharged their weapon.
00:19:14.000 They only used their weapon, and they didn't even use it.
00:19:17.000 They only displayed their weapon as a sign of potential threat to this mob that broke down their gate to come into their home.
00:19:25.000 Anyone that lives in a suburb that have kids they care about, they actually empathize with what the Republicans did very effectively tonight.
00:19:33.000 We have always allowed the Democrats to do nothing but play the victim.
00:19:37.000 I don't like victim politics.
00:19:39.000 However, when it is necessary and rooted in truth, we should be unafraid to lean into it.
00:19:43.000 The McCloskeys are victims of a tyrannical district attorney, George Soros-funded, by the way, that is trying to take our Second Amendment rights away, trying to take our capacity for personal protection away.
00:19:55.000 When you look at how we're going to win the Midwest and you look at the ways that we are going to be able to win, swing voters, being able to have more testimony from people like the McCloskeys that are being charged with felonies for simply taking out their legally acquired firearms against the mob, against the terrorist insurrectionists that tried to kill them and try to go into their home and were already on their personal property.
00:20:17.000 And how does the media frame it?
00:20:19.000 How does the media frame the McCloskey family?
00:20:22.000 The media says the felon at Republican National Convention, people charged with felonies to speak.
00:20:28.000 That's what they think of Midwestern family-centered people that own firearms, care about their community, care about their family, and are trying to protect what is right and what is good.
00:20:40.000 And so I really believe we're looking at what the issues that are going to win in Pennsylvania, in Wisconsin, in Michigan, and Minnesota.
00:20:47.000 I think we're seeing kind of a simultaneous trend right now.
00:20:50.000 I think the Midwest is becoming very, very conservative in real time.
00:20:55.000 And I don't think they were, I don't want to say they weren't conservative, but I can tell you, I just spent the last week and a half in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, all across the industrial Midwest.
00:21:03.000 I spoke in Michigan last weekend.
00:21:05.000 I got to tell you, driving throughout Grand Rapids at Students for Trump, our 501c4 organization, we knocked on thousands and thousands of doors.
00:21:12.000 The people of the Midwest have very little to no tolerance.
00:21:15.000 In fact, they are scared of what will happen if the Democrats end up taking power.
00:21:20.000 And so I want to play the clip from Nikki Haley here because I got great response from a lot of individuals.
00:21:25.000 I kind of have these focus groups around the country of swing voters that I meet in all sorts of different circumstances, and I stay in touch with them.
00:21:32.000 And they really believe that Nikki Haley was incredibly effective in being able to persuade people to go vote for Donald Trump.
00:21:39.000 Now, some people in the Republican and conservative base have been very critical of Nikki Haley, but I give her great credit for how articulate and really above and beyond supportive of the president she was tonight.
00:21:51.000 Play tape.
00:21:52.000 Pandemic has set us back, but not for long.
00:21:55.000 President Trump brought our economy back before, and he will bring it back again.
00:22:03.000 There's one more important area where our president is right.
00:22:07.000 He knows that political correctness and cancel culture are dangerous and just plain wrong.
00:22:15.000 In much of the Democratic Party, it's now fashionable to say that America is racist.
00:22:21.000 That is a lie.
00:22:23.000 America is not a racist country.
00:22:28.000 This is personal for me.
00:22:31.000 I am the proud daughter of Indian immigrants.
00:22:34.000 They came to America and settled in a small southern town.
00:22:38.000 My father wore a turban.
00:22:40.000 My mother wore a sari.
00:22:43.000 I was a brown girl in a black and white world.
00:22:47.000 We face discrimination and hardship, but my parents never gave in to grievance and hate.
00:22:54.000 My mom built a successful business.
00:22:56.000 My dad taught 30 years at a historically black college.
00:23:01.000 And the people of South Carolina chose me as their first minority and first female governor.
00:23:08.000 America is a story that's a work in progress.
00:23:13.000 It's terrific.
00:23:14.000 Now, the part that I think I wish she would have finished is America's a work in progress.
00:23:17.000 It feels a little bit too much like a progressive line, but I actually want to give her the benefit of the doubt here because if I remember correctly, the speech actually ended.
00:23:23.000 She qualified that statement, but we have a hard cut there for obvious reasons.
00:23:27.000 But my favorite part of what she just said there is that America is not a racist country, a full-throated repudiation of the leftist lie that we are a racist country.
00:23:35.000 If we're a racist country, why is it that when the caravan basically decides to go find a better country, they come for America, but not Venezuela.
00:23:43.000 Why is it if we're such a racist country, more blacks in the last 40 years have come to America voluntarily?
00:23:53.000 Two million blacks have come to America voluntarily since the 1970s.
00:23:57.000 Two million from Africa.
00:23:59.000 We are not a racist country.
00:24:00.000 Now, do we have individual racists in our country?
00:24:02.000 Of course we do.
00:24:03.000 And some of them are actually running for president as Democrats.
00:24:05.000 Joe Biden.
00:24:06.000 Joe Biden, as Tim Scott perfectly said, wrote the Clinton crime bill.
00:24:10.000 Joe Biden said that black people that do not vote for him are not black.
00:24:14.000 Thank you, Tim Scott, for saying that.
00:24:16.000 Thank you, Tim Scott, for saying that.
00:24:18.000 Tim, let's get that clip queued up, the one after next.
00:24:21.000 Tim Scott saying, really framed beautifully, all of the racist statements of Joe Biden, then going level up.
00:24:27.000 Tim Scott just going to the next level saying, but that is nothing compared to the actions.
00:24:32.000 Joe Biden said, Joe Biden said that you cannot walk into a 7-Eleven without a slight Indian accent.
00:24:38.000 Joe Biden said that if the black community is not diverse.
00:24:44.000 And so you kind of tie all this together.
00:24:46.000 Nikki Haley and Tim Scott, the two South Carolina office holders, I think really stole the show effectively tonight.
00:24:53.000 And Donald Trump Jr. as well.
00:24:54.000 And I want to get to some of the clips of Don, a dear friend of mine who I thought did really, really well tonight.
00:24:59.000 But I also loved what Nikki Haley said about grievance and hate.
00:25:03.000 She said that we are not going, my parents came here legally and we are not going to be indulging in grievance and hate politics, which is exactly where the Democrat Party is right now.
00:25:15.000 So for those of you tuning just in right now, and if you didn't watch the entire convention, totally understandable, I had an opportunity to speak tonight.
00:25:21.000 One of the greatest honors of my life to speak for a president that I know I call a friend, someone that I consider to be an incredibly courageous fighter for Western civilization.
00:25:29.000 In fact, I coined a term and I said that President Donald Trump is the bodyguard of Western civilization.
00:25:35.000 I think that's an accurate way to put it because when you hire a bodyguard, you don't care about the tweets.
00:25:39.000 You don't care about the tone.
00:25:40.000 You just want to make sure your family is going to be protected against the threats outside.
00:25:44.000 The speech has gone viral in a couple different ways.
00:25:47.000 It was trending on Twitter.
00:25:48.000 Let's check it.
00:25:49.000 If you guys hadn't seen it yet, enjoy.
00:25:53.000 Life.
00:25:55.000 All of this changed dramatically in 2015 when a billionaire named Donald Trump put his own life of luxury on the line.
00:26:03.000 From that moment he came down that famous escalator.
00:26:06.000 He started a movement to reclaim our government from the rotten cartel of insiders that have been destroying our country.
00:26:14.000 We may not have realized it at the time, but Trump is the bodyguard of Western civilization.
00:26:21.000 Trump was elected to protect our families from the vengeful mob that seeks to destroy our way of life, our neighborhoods, schools, churches, and values.
00:26:33.000 President Trump was elected to defend the American way of life.
00:26:38.000 The American way of life means you follow the law, you work hard, you honor God, you raise your kids with strong values, and you work to create a civil society.
00:26:51.000 So, again, super honored to be able to speak tonight.
00:26:54.000 And so, just kind of to break down exactly why I said what I said, and I'm going to stand by it because a lot of the media is writing it up endlessly.
00:27:00.000 And please continue to do it because I wrote the speech, is that Trump is the bodyguard of Western civilization.
00:27:06.000 Now, what is Western civilization?
00:27:07.000 Western civilization is an incredible gift that we have been given that came post-Enlightenment, thanks to the writings of John Locke on the sacrifices of the pilgrims that came to this country that rebelled against the monarch, inspired by the ideas of natural rights, and eventually led to our birth certificate, the Declaration of Independence, that says firmly the laws of nature and nature's God, rights that are given to us by God, not by government, that the individual matters, that the family matters, that free expression of religion matters.
00:27:34.000 A country that was founded by people that were seeking religious freedom against persecution rebelled against tyranny in 1776, fought against the greatest odds to defeat an army that no one could have imagined.
00:27:46.000 We won that war to found the country with the greatest political document ever written in the United States Constitution, and Western civilization was created.
00:27:54.000 Other countries in Europe replicated a lot of the incredibly, let's say, forward-thinking ideals of the founding fathers, where they never tried to create, they never tried to create utopia.
00:28:05.000 Instead, they tried to create something that could not get screwed up by flawed human beings.
00:28:09.000 You see, the founding fathers knew that man was flawed by nature.
00:28:12.000 They knew that markets worked.
00:28:13.000 They knew private property was essential, that life must be protected, that liberty was essential, and they trusted the people, as Ben Franklin said, you have a republic if you can keep it.
00:28:25.000 And so I also dove into something that I will stand by again, where people said, well, Charlie, the vengeful mob doesn't want to come after your way of life or your culture or your schools.
00:28:33.000 I don't know what world that you are living in right now.
00:28:35.000 But if you do not see what's happening in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in Chicago, Illinois, and Seattle, and Portland, the bitter activists that are marching the streets calling for anything they disagree with to be either destroyed, canceled, or sometimes obliterated like they are doing in the streets of Seattle and Portland, where they are walking through suburbs and they're saying, wake up and going to young children and going to suburban households and terrorizing them at two or three o'clock in the morning.
00:29:00.000 I believe that the tone that I struck in that speech was absolutely correct.
00:29:04.000 And I stand by those words because right now, Western civilization, this gift that we have been given, is now completely and totally under attack.
00:29:11.000 You saw this from Alexandria Casio-Cortez last week, where she said that Western civilization was not founded, but it was colonialized, that it's nothing more than an experiment in power-dominance hierarchy.
00:29:23.000 In fact, Alexandria Casio-Cortez then went on vogue this last week, and she said, we have to go crush the male patriarchy, the patriarchal tyranny, she says.
00:29:31.000 Wait a second.
00:29:32.000 If we were living in a patriarchy, let alone a patriarchal tyranny, why is that men commit more suicides than women at a very, very high rate?
00:29:40.000 Why is it that men have, or the jobless rate for men is far higher than the jobless rate for women?
00:29:44.000 Women graduate college in higher rates, master's degrees and doctorates 12 out of the last 13 years.
00:29:49.000 Women earn more in the marketplace up until the age of 26 or 27 in almost every single major city across the country.
00:29:56.000 Women are far less likely to declare bankruptcy.
00:29:59.000 Women are far less likely to die at work.
00:30:01.000 What exactly are you talking about?
00:30:02.000 That is a huge criticism that people talk about when they're looking at Western civilization and think it's only made for a specific race and a specific gender if they even believe in genders at all.
00:30:13.000 They say it's made for white men.
00:30:15.000 This is a lie.
00:30:16.000 And that is exactly where I think Tim Scott can complete my point here, where he actually said that Joe Biden, being the deconstructionist, radical, postmodernist Marxist, he's the one that actually judges people on skin color, not on values.
00:30:29.000 Play tape.
00:30:31.000 So I'm going to ask you, the American people, not to simply look at what the candidates say, but to look back at what they've done.
00:30:42.000 This election is about your future, and it is critical to paint a full picture of the records of Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
00:30:52.000 Joe Biden said if a black man didn't vote for him, he wasn't truly black.
00:30:57.000 Joe Biden said black people are a monolithic community.
00:31:01.000 It was Joe Biden who said poor kids can be just as smart as white kids.
00:31:09.000 And while his words are one thing, his actions take it to a whole new level.
00:31:16.000 In 1994, Biden led the charge on a crime bill that put millions of black Americans behind bars.
00:31:23.000 President Trump's criminal justice reform law fixed many of the disparities Biden created and made our system more fair and just for all Americans.
00:31:34.000 Joe Biden also failed our nation's historically black colleges and universities, heaping blame on them as they fought to ensure our young folks had access to higher education.
00:31:46.000 Once again, to clean up Joe Biden's mess, President Trump signed into law historically high funding for HBCUs, as well as a bill to give them permanent funding for the first time ever.
00:32:04.000 Phenomenal.
00:32:05.000 So I believe that Senator Tim Scott really completed the point there where he said, don't just look at the racist statements of Joe Biden, look at the racist actions of Joe Biden.
00:32:14.000 Don't just look at how Joe Biden talks a good game on all this.
00:32:17.000 And he says clearly, Trump is not a racist.
00:32:20.000 Look at the actions that he has taken.
00:32:22.000 Now, a lot of suburban voters have fallen into this trap that Donald Trump is xenophobic and racist.
00:32:28.000 I think it was brilliant to have Senator Tim Scott, someone who has lived the American dream, say the Democrats want a cultural revolution and a socialist utopia and then go through piece by piece the questionable racial record of Joe Biden.
00:32:41.000 It would have been so easy for Tim Scott to avoid that.
00:32:44.000 And I just want to commend him for that and same with Nikki Haley because both of them went, I believe, above and beyond to defend our terrific president, President Donald Trump, in that capacity of, I think, being unfairly criticized when it comes to these issues.
00:32:57.000 And so if you look also as well, where I think that Republicans were very effective tonight, it was diving into the culture.
00:33:04.000 It was diving into who are we as a country.
00:33:07.000 And Donald Trump Jr., my friend, had a point on this about the silenced majority.
00:33:13.000 Phenomenally well-written line, play tape.
00:33:17.000 Joe Biden and the radical left are now coming for our freedom of speech.
00:33:22.000 They want to bully us into submission.
00:33:24.000 If they get their way, it will no longer be the silent majority.
00:33:29.000 It will be the silenced majority.
00:33:32.000 This has to stop.
00:33:34.000 Freedom of expression used to be a liberal value, at least before the radical left took over.
00:33:40.000 Now the Republican Party is the home of free speech, the place where anyone from any background can speak their mind.
00:33:48.000 And may the best ideas win.
00:33:50.000 People of faith are under attack.
00:33:53.000 You're not allowed to go to church.
00:33:55.000 But mass chaos in the streets gets a pass.
00:33:58.000 It's almost.
00:34:00.000 Thank you, Donald Trump Jr., for saying that.
00:34:02.000 Mass chaos in the streets, hundreds of thousands of people that are arguing for bitter insurrection against our government.
00:34:07.000 Perfectly okay.
00:34:08.000 If you want to go worship Jesus Christ as the savior of the world, if you want to say God is real, if you want to go to synagogue, all of a sudden that you're the enemy, sit down and listen.
00:34:15.000 Donald Trump Jr. leans into that very effectively.
00:34:18.000 And I also think that where Don, I think, framed this really well, and there's a deeper point here that I think is really interesting, is that Don said that the Republican Party is now the party of free speech.
00:34:29.000 What Don is saying here at a deeper level, and he's absolutely correct, is that the Republican Party is now the party of classical liberalism.
00:34:36.000 The Republican Party is now the party of freedom of speech, of dialogue, of new ideas, of marketplace of ideas.
00:34:41.000 And what does Don say?
00:34:42.000 Not that we are going to win and you're going to lose.
00:34:44.000 Let the best ideas win.
00:34:46.000 See, this is where the Republican Party now has a moral high ground.
00:34:49.000 We have to lean in on this.
00:34:50.000 And God bless you, Don, for saying this, because you're exactly right, is that we are the party.
00:34:54.000 We are the movement that quite honestly, we're okay if you disagree with us.
00:34:58.000 We just want the capacity for us to be able to respond with facts, dialogue, history, logic, and a different perspective.
00:35:04.000 Is that now that the Democrats are no longer the party of liberals?
00:35:07.000 They're the party of leftists.
00:35:09.000 They no longer want dialogue, debate, or discussion.
00:35:12.000 They want submission.
00:35:14.000 And Don, I think this line was very, very well put.
00:35:16.000 Not the silent majority any longer.
00:35:18.000 If they win, they'll be the silenced majority.
00:35:20.000 They will come after all of us.
00:35:21.000 So we're already starting to see people move in real time because of this.
00:35:24.000 And also you see how the Democrats just completely and totally ignored the issue of crime last week, as if it doesn't exist.
00:35:32.000 This is insulting to the citizenry.
00:35:35.000 It's insulting to the American people when you act as if these issues do not exist whatsoever.
00:35:39.000 Now, I mentioned this as well in my speech.
00:35:41.000 And if those of you that are just tuning in right now, and if you didn't get a chance to see it, I did have the opportunity to speak tonight.
00:35:46.000 And if those of you that have been watching the whole live stream through, you've now heard me say that a couple times.
00:35:50.000 I've been extremely honored.
00:35:51.000 One of the greatest honors of my life to go speak for a president is defending Western civilization, defending our country, and quite honestly, is, I think, one of the last best chances for this beautiful gift that we have been given for multiple generations before us.
00:36:03.000 Do we have the clip from my speech where I dive into the Silicon Valley, the tech issue of it?
00:36:11.000 We're going to pull that in just a second.
00:36:12.000 Now, so before we get to that clip, because we're doing this in real time, literally right after we just got right into the chair, I want to also talk about how the Democrats are going to respond to this.
00:36:22.000 So I'm a student of the American left.
00:36:25.000 So I study the left.
00:36:26.000 I fight the left.
00:36:26.000 I understand kind of exactly where they're coming from.
00:36:29.000 I study their philosophy.
00:36:30.000 I understand where their kind of big picture ideas from.
00:36:34.000 And so they do something called gaslighting.
00:36:36.000 A lot of you might have heard this term before.
00:36:38.000 Gaslighting is this idea, and it actually comes from a 1938 play where a woman was in an abusive relationship with her husband, and the husband slowly but surely turned down the gas light in their flat.
00:36:51.000 It took place in London, 1880s London, where he's turning down the light incrementally, maybe by 1% or 2% every evening.
00:36:56.000 And the wife would go to her husband and she would say, why is it getting darker?
00:37:00.000 And he'd say, you're losing your mind.
00:37:01.000 You're going crazy.
00:37:02.000 And that's exactly what the activist media is doing to us.
00:37:05.000 In fact, I think we're in a very abusive relationship, put it in quotes, with the activist media, where the Democrats and the activist media were like, well, what about the crime?
00:37:13.000 What about the fact that churches are burning like they are in Kenosha, Wisconsin?
00:37:16.000 What about the fact that pastors are being arrested?
00:37:18.000 What about the fact that black-owned businesses are being smashed and looted?
00:37:23.000 None of that is happening.
00:37:24.000 You're going crazy.
00:37:25.000 And sit down and shut up and just give us power.
00:37:27.000 Like, what?
00:37:28.000 Like, we see what's happening around us.
00:37:28.000 No.
00:37:31.000 We see crime going up.
00:37:32.000 I mean, have you seen the latest crime numbers in Chicago?
00:37:35.000 By the way, Lori Lightfoot, the tyrant in Chicago, she recently, I think it was six people, right?
00:37:39.000 She had six protesters arrested outside of her home that tried to protest her.
00:37:43.000 And she uses police power against that.
00:37:45.000 Yet just in the last week, there are 45 people shot and wounded in Chicago, 46 total shot.
00:37:50.000 And just in the month of August, 42 homicides, 374 shot, 333 shot and wounded, and 41 shot and killed.
00:37:57.000 And year to date in Chicago, 450 people shot and killed, 2,239 shot and wounded, 2,689 total shot, and 491 total homicides.
00:38:07.000 It's BLM Incorporated.
00:38:09.000 We call them BLM Incorporated because they're nothing more than a multi-hundred dollar scheme to try to take money from people that think they're doing something good when in reality they're contributing to the arson of America, including the biggest corporations in our country, Bank of America, PepsiCo, Nike, Adidas, Apple.
00:38:09.000 That's right.
00:38:26.000 They are all contributing hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars to the BLM arsonists.
00:38:30.000 We're right now in Kenosha, Wisconsin, swing state, Wisconsin.
00:38:33.000 While we're talking about the convention, Kenosha, Wisconsin is under absolute National Guard control.
00:38:38.000 It is civil insurrection at its absolute worst.
00:38:41.000 And yet in Chicago, where 491 homicides, a vast majority of them being black and Hispanics, total silence from BLM Incorporated from all the insurrectionists.
00:38:53.000 And so you kind of look at exactly where the Democrats are coming from here, how they're going to respond.
00:38:58.000 How are they going to respond?
00:38:59.000 They are going to gaslight.
00:39:01.000 They're going to gaslight.
00:39:02.000 They are going to pretend things that are not, and they're going to accuse you if you dare question them.
00:39:07.000 They are going to try to play certain tapes, including my own, and try to intentionally misrepresent them.
00:39:12.000 Let me be very clear to the media that's going to try to attack me right here and right now, where they're trying to say, oh, Charlie was saying something that was bitter and divisive.
00:39:21.000 I have nothing to apologize for for saying that President Trump is defending Western civilization.
00:39:26.000 The world is a better place because of Western civilization.
00:39:28.000 More people have broken out of poverty because of Western civilization.
00:39:31.000 More people can speak freely.
00:39:32.000 More people have found the kingdom of God because of Western civilization.
00:39:35.000 More scientific advancements, more Nobel Prize advancements.
00:39:39.000 The advancement of human rights are all because of Western civilization, which is inspired from the teachings of the Bible, which was articulated beautifully through the Enlightenment, through thinkers such as Descartes and then John Locke, and then implemented by the visionary founding fathers that put it into practice and rebelled against tyranny and rightfully built and constructed this gift that we have been given, the very same gift that the bitter Democrat deconstructionists are trying to destroy every single day.
00:40:02.000 I talked about this in my speech.
00:40:04.000 Let's just play that tape.
00:40:08.000 Way of life means you speak your mind without retribution, without being kicked off social media by a self-righteous censor in Silicon Valley.
00:40:18.000 It means you can freely practice your religion and that church is more essential than a casino.
00:40:25.000 And it means that we judge people on their actions, not on their immutable characteristics.
00:40:31.000 The American way of life is being dismantled by a group of bitter, deceitful, vengeful activists who have never built anything in their lives.
00:40:42.000 They have us locking up pastors while releasing violent criminals from prison.
00:40:47.000 We are kicking doctors off of social media, yet promoting Chinese state-funded propaganda on major tech platforms.
00:40:56.000 So a couple things.
00:40:57.000 I went out of my way to make sure twice right there to mention the tech tyranny, that we have Chinese state-funded propaganda that is getting preference, that we're kicking doctors off of social media, something that I think that we need to zero on even more.
00:41:09.000 And also that you should speak your mind without fear of retribution.
00:41:13.000 And I made sure that I leaned in on this.
00:41:15.000 And thank you, President Trump, by the way, for giving me this platform for the opportunity to speak at your convention.
00:41:21.000 I'm thankful.
00:41:22.000 That's the best word I can use.
00:41:23.000 So thank you for that.
00:41:24.000 The opportunity to speak at this convention to articulate the ideas that built Western civilization.
00:41:28.000 So the thesis of my speech was that we should be on our hands and knees thanking the good Lord that we live in Western civilization, trying to define as quickly as I could in 20 seconds or 30 seconds or less what Western civilization is and then leaning in onto exactly what the American way of life is, that you can live quiet and peaceable lives, that you can have children, that you can speak your mind without fear of retribution.
00:41:51.000 Who is actually attacking this idea of Western civilization?
00:41:55.000 Well, it's the tech companies, which we talk about quite often here on the Charlie Kirk show.
00:41:59.000 And by the way, if any of you have questions before I finish this thought, please email us freedom at charliekirk.com, freedom at charliekirk.com, right here.
00:42:06.000 We are going to pick five people that ask the best questions.
00:42:09.000 We are going to answer your questions, and then you get a signed copy of the New York Times bestseller, the MAGA Doctrine.
00:42:13.000 So just email us freedom at CharlieKirk.com.
00:42:15.000 And if you're watching on Facebook, there is a link right there in the Facebook description, right?
00:42:18.000 Is the link right there?
00:42:19.000 Yes, it is.
00:42:20.000 Make sure you guys hit that podcast link and hit subscribe.
00:42:23.000 It helps us tremendously, and it sends a huge message to all of the tech censors out there that want to silence our show, because I went on a national stage of the Republican National Convention and talked about tech tyranny.
00:42:34.000 The American way of life is also the capacity to work hard and follow the law.
00:42:39.000 I think that the Republicans need to focus more on this message.
00:42:42.000 I think Republicans need to focus even more on playing by the rules, following the law.
00:42:48.000 Because you know why?
00:42:50.000 Most people actually follow the law.
00:42:52.000 That you should not be pandering for the criminal vote.
00:42:54.000 Let the Democrats get the criminal vote, okay?
00:42:56.000 Let the Democrats try to get the ones where like, we're going to excuse you from for cash bail and for doing all of the most radical, illegal things in society, where the Republicans, and I articulated this in my speech, needs to be the party that rewards law-abiding decisions.
00:43:15.000 And yes, I said it, that church matters more than a casino.
00:43:19.000 This is in direct repudiation to the coward John Roberts, who said that a casino matters more than a church.
00:43:28.000 My friend Donald Trump Jr. also, he called Biden the Loch Ness monster of the swamp.
00:43:35.000 Pretty good imagery here.
00:43:36.000 Play tape.
00:43:42.000 That makes sense, though, considering Joe Biden is basically the Loch Ness monster of the swamp.
00:43:48.000 For the past half century, he's been lurking around in there.
00:43:52.000 He sticks his head up every now and then to run for president.
00:43:55.000 Then he disappears and doesn't do much in between.
00:43:59.000 So if you're looking for hope, look to the man who did what the failed Obama-Biden administration never could do and built the greatest economy our country has ever seen.
00:44:10.000 And President Trump will do it again.
00:44:15.000 Don is exactly right.
00:44:16.000 And the framing of this people and the citizens versus the kingdom of Washington, D.C. and this cartel that is being run by lobbyists and insider corporations is a winning message for President Trump.
00:44:27.000 So here's just a couple other takeaways from tonight.
00:44:29.000 Number one, optically, from a production standpoint, this entire thing was a home run.
00:44:34.000 It's just a different league than the Democrats.
00:44:37.000 I mean, if you just look at Don's speech right there and you look at my speech, look at the amount of the American flags, the consistent imagery, the consistent stage from the speakers.
00:44:46.000 It was phenomenal.
00:44:47.000 The consistency of the set really, really helped.
00:44:50.000 It also feels as close as you can get to a convention than actually having a live convention.
00:44:55.000 The producers of the apprentice, the people that did this, I had the opportunity to work with them.
00:45:00.000 First of all, they were phenomenal.
00:45:02.000 They allowed me to say what I wanted to say.
00:45:04.000 They really treated everyone like professionals and they made you feel at home.
00:45:09.000 I just want to say thank you to them.
00:45:11.000 They were terrific.
00:45:12.000 And also, this is a really interesting point.
00:45:13.000 Do you want to see what was missing from the Republican convention?
00:45:17.000 No celebrities.
00:45:18.000 And that's a good thing.
00:45:19.000 Most Americans actually don't think very highly of celebrities.
00:45:22.000 The Democrats were like force feeding us, Eve Longoria and Kerry Washington.
00:45:26.000 Listen to what these celebrities have.
00:45:28.000 And most middle Americans, especially in Minnesota or Michigan and Ohio, are like, I think we're good, actually.
00:45:33.000 I think we don't need to hear from Kerry Washington about how awful our country is.
00:45:37.000 And I can't wait to see the numbers.
00:45:39.000 I can't wait to see.
00:45:40.000 I mean, some would say we have Herschel Walker.
00:45:42.000 I mean, yeah, he's not a, I wouldn't call him a celebrity.
00:45:45.000 I call him a former athlete.
00:45:47.000 I mean, and we are going to, I want to get the Sean Parnell clip.
00:45:51.000 I think that was one of the most effective ones where he talks about the celebrities.
00:45:54.000 It was very well crafted.
00:45:56.000 And so if you kind of look at how the Republicans were able to produce this so effectively, they told better stories.
00:46:04.000 They had more diverse storytellers, a better message, and a better ethos all throughout the convention or throughout this evening of a convention.
00:46:13.000 And so I also think it was very persuasive.
00:46:16.000 I believe for those of you that are in the middle, and I want your thoughts on this, please email us your thoughts right now, freedom at charliekirk.com, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:46:23.000 I'm going to take some of your questions right now.
00:46:24.000 I want your thoughts on what you liked, what you didn't like, your feedback, and all of it.
00:46:28.000 And so I believe that the Republicans being able to be disciplined throughout the message, being able to be consistent.
00:46:37.000 And I loved what Sean Parnell said, who's running for Congress in Pennsylvania, where he said that this used to be the party of Harry Truman.
00:46:43.000 Now it's the party of Hollywood elites, which was almost a call for Democrats to leave their party to come home to the Republican Party.
00:46:51.000 Very, very well done because this was, I think the Republican National Convention, they saw one thing that the Democrats did, which was a very heavy focus on trying to get former Republicans to come over and try to vote for Joe Biden.
00:47:05.000 I also thought the president's framing as a tough guy who gets stuff done, I believe that is a winning message.
00:47:10.000 A guy that is unafraid to fight for the American people, someone who is unafraid to stand with a backbone clearly and confidently to push back against the enemies of our country.
00:47:20.000 Nikki Haley talked a lot about the foreign policy aspects of this, but even more so, if you kind of saw a theme, and I agree with this, that if we do not get our domestic issues underway, if we do not achieve domestic tranquility, then we will not be able to even worry about the Chinese Communist Party, will not be able to worry about Russia, Iran, North Korea.
00:47:38.000 And the president recognizes this.
00:47:40.000 The president understands that if we do not get the riots in Kenosha happening right now, Seattle and Portland under control, and if we do not stop the American left, then we will not have a country.
00:47:50.000 Tim Scott said this when he said they're trying to start a cultural revolution and they're trying to create a socialist utopia.
00:47:56.000 So I want to get to some of your questions here in real time.
00:47:59.000 And you guys can email me, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:48:01.000 Matt Gates also said something terrific.
00:48:03.000 I don't know if we have this tape.
00:48:04.000 What tape do we have pulled that I have not yet had a chance to pull to?
00:48:09.000 Is there any on there?
00:48:10.000 We're moving in real time.
00:48:11.000 Matt Gates had a great quote where he said, this is the first president of my lifetime not to start a war.
00:48:17.000 First in his lifetime, first in my lifetime, Congressman Matt Gates is a friend of mine.
00:48:22.000 Phenomenal, phenomenal point.
00:48:24.000 That this is the first time in our lifetime that we have not seen a president recklessly go into Iraq, go into Afghanistan, or try to send American troops into a quagmire overseas.
00:48:35.000 I thought the Democrats were the party of peace.
00:48:38.000 It's President Trump that negotiated peace with the United Arab Emirates and Israel.
00:48:42.000 It's President Trump who is negotiating peace all across the world, not across the country, all across the world.
00:48:50.000 And it's President Trump who has not put American service members into harm's way, knock on wood and pray an American service member has not died in Afghanistan since February, and we're getting out of those perpetual endless wars.
00:49:02.000 And the traditional Republican establishment is not happy with this.
00:49:05.000 The war-mongering traditional Republican establishment, in defiance to President Trump's wishes, do not want a position that puts a preference on peace, stability, negotiation, and diplomacy like President Trump has.
00:49:21.000 Because if we're honest about ourselves, if we're honest, it is widely unpopular to continually go into these endless conflicts in the Middle East.
00:49:28.000 And I believe, just a gut instinct, Senator Ram Paul is going to talk about this a little bit tomorrow.
00:49:34.000 Just probably one of his biggest issues.
00:49:35.000 I think Senator Ram Paul talks tomorrow.
00:49:37.000 Is that right?
00:49:37.000 Senator Ram Paul talks tomorrow.
00:49:39.000 So guys, please email us your questions right now, freedom at charliekirk.com, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:49:44.000 Give us your thoughts.
00:49:45.000 And as we're pulling these clips from Parnell and some of the other speakers, I just want to kind of talk about some of the other big themes that I think the Republicans need to touch on throughout the week.
00:49:56.000 I think they did a great job of talking about the First Step Act.
00:49:58.000 I think they did a great job talking about the foreign policy accomplishments.
00:50:00.000 I think that the president and the convention, they need to have some very specific programming on Neil Gorsuch on the fight for Brett Kavanaugh, 200 circuit court judges, the pro-life stance of this president, which I believe that Abby Johnson is going to do a phenomenal job with, and the cultural issues.
00:50:16.000 And I think they did this tonight, but the more that the president and his team and the convention can lean in on the Republican Party and President Trump are the guardians of Western civilization, the bodyguard, if you will, the more effective that they will be.
00:50:30.000 And also, can we get the clip right here of, I'm going to answer a question, the clip where I mention education towards the end of my speech.
00:50:36.000 I want to get a chance to mention that.
00:50:37.000 So, this is from John C., who is watching right now.
00:50:40.000 Charlie, as someone who is a former Democrat, by the way, congratulations, you win a signed copy of the New York Times bestseller, the MAGA Doctrine.
00:50:46.000 As someone who is a former Democrat, I'm so thankful for what you and others are doing.
00:50:49.000 Thank you.
00:50:50.000 What do you think is the best way to approach friends who have completely bought into the left's dogma to get them to see things in a different light?
00:50:56.000 Well, first of all, if you are not already listening to the Charlie Kirk show every day, I highly encourage you to do that.
00:51:00.000 If you guys are watching on Facebook, there's a link right there in the description.
00:51:04.000 Please press that link and hit that subscribe button right now.
00:51:07.000 It helps us surge in the charts and it sends a message to the activist media and the tech censors that are trying to shut down this show.
00:51:13.000 So, thank you.
00:51:14.000 Secondly, ask questions.
00:51:16.000 It's the best way to engage and to cross-examine radicals.
00:51:20.000 Asking questions against people that think they are so dogmatically inclined to believe something.
00:51:27.000 Why do you believe that?
00:51:29.000 What does your ideal America look like?
00:51:30.000 Has Trump done anything correctly?
00:51:32.000 Is America in a better or worse place thanks to the leadership of Donald Trump?
00:51:35.000 And some people say worse because of the virus.
00:51:37.000 I still don't believe that.
00:51:38.000 I still, despite the virus, despite the lockdowns, I still believe we are in a better place than if Barack Obama would have been president or Hillary Clinton, God forbid, would have been president.
00:51:47.000 Tyler says this: Hey, Charlie, I had a discussion with my wife who's a teacher, and she said school choice is bad.
00:51:53.000 She said the more kids that leave, the less funding the school gets, which is bad for the poor kids that are left behind.
00:51:58.000 Is this true?
00:51:59.000 I told her I can't agree.
00:52:00.000 Telling kids they have no option to leave bed school.
00:52:02.000 This is not true at all whatsoever.
00:52:03.000 In fact, it creates competition.
00:52:05.000 And there is no correlation, unfortunately, between, and this is just the facts, I say unfortunately, the facts, between the amount of school funding and the direct correlation of the kids' future.
00:52:15.000 Now, there is a correlation at some point, but if you kind of just look at parochial schools, especially Catholic schools in the city of Chicago, they'll educate a kid for about $8,000 a year, where the Chicago public schools will educate a kid around $19,000 to $20,000 a year.
00:52:27.000 And the kid that gets the education for about $8,000 a year at the Catholic school is far more likely to succeed and pass the ACTs, pass the ACT, read a grade level, pass a science exam, you name it, at every single possible level of metrics of success that you can gauge.
00:52:39.000 So what school choice does is it allows parents to move their tax dollars to better schools.
00:52:43.000 That'll finally create some form of competition.
00:52:46.000 And by the way, just if you, if you, I think most teachers are underpaid, but where I went to high school in District 214 in the suburbs of Chicago in Wheeling High School, teachers are earning $140,000, $149,000 a year.
00:52:57.000 Teachers are far overfunded in many school districts across the country.
00:53:00.000 And I think that parents should be able to move their tax dollars when a school is not performing up to their standards.
00:53:06.000 I think that if you are trapped in a failing school district, that is a moral issue in our country.
00:53:12.000 Thank you for the question.
00:53:13.000 You guys win a signed copy of the MAGA doctrine.
00:53:16.000 Congratulations.
00:53:16.000 Hi, Charlie.
00:53:17.000 What would you say to people who are in fear?
00:53:19.000 That is, they get wrapped up in the news.
00:53:21.000 Even conservatives take the bait and become more fearful, in my estimation, immobilized and frozen in fear.
00:53:27.000 I'm asking because I get text messages and read comments so often with I'm afraid.
00:53:30.000 Thank you, Roof.
00:53:31.000 Well, look, there's two kinds of fear: there's a fear of God and the fear of man.
00:53:34.000 For those of us that are Christians, we should fear God, absolutely.
00:53:37.000 The fear of man, we should not fear.
00:53:38.000 Now, mind you, I think that we should, I think that we should be very understanding.
00:53:46.000 I think that we should be very understanding of some of the sense of urgency and the chaos that's happening in our country.
00:53:52.000 But fear, I mean, there's very little that I fear in the country.
00:53:55.000 I do fear Joe Biden taking office.
00:53:56.000 I fear for the innocent and I fear for others.
00:53:59.000 I fear that free speech and dialogue will be completely and totally destroyed.
00:54:03.000 And I think that we need to be more honest about how we are going to confront tyranny, both the macro and the micro tyranny in our country.
00:54:10.000 We are going to confront it head on.
00:54:11.000 We are going to confront a dialogue with facts and with logic, with precise data.
00:54:16.000 And look, if Joe Biden wins and the Democrats take over, they're going to try to create a Bolshevik insurrection in this country, the likes of which we've never seen.
00:54:24.000 And you're being warned right now.
00:54:26.000 We have been right about almost every single prediction here on the show of what the country will look like.
00:54:29.000 If we give these people power, they are going to tear down our country as we know it.
00:54:34.000 I talked about in my speech here, and we have the clip all queued up, the need to get our kids to love America again, a country that thinks big and dreams big and can do the impossible.
00:54:43.000 I believe, and this has been based on our issues here that we have gotten at freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:54:48.000 Issues is not the right term.
00:54:50.000 The feedback we've gotten at freedom at charliekirk.com from you guys, how successful we have been in this messaging.
00:54:55.000 We actually workshopped this together as a podcast team.
00:54:58.000 Not just me, but our listeners.
00:55:00.000 Tens of thousands of listeners, we worked on this together and actually gave it in the speech.
00:55:03.000 Those of you that actually listen to my podcast and send me emails, you guys played an impact in front of millions of people.
00:55:08.000 Play tape.
00:55:09.000 This election is not just the most important of our lifetime.
00:55:13.000 It is the most important since the preservation of the republic in 1865.
00:55:18.000 By re-electing Trump, we will ensure that our kids are raised to love our country and respect its founding fathers, not taught to hate or be ashamed of them.
00:55:28.000 We will build monuments to heroes, not burn down our cities.
00:55:32.000 We'll be a country that rises to higher heights, that dreams big, thinks big, and achieves the impossible.
00:55:38.000 A country that values our remarkable journey, the complexities of our past, but clearly communicates to the next generation that we have to be grateful, not angry, that we live in the United States.
00:55:54.000 We will be a country that makes it easier to have many children.
00:55:58.000 Live quiet.
00:56:00.000 And probably just because of file capacity, we had to cut that off.
00:56:04.000 But the idea is that we are going to think big and dream big and be able to do the impossible.
00:56:08.000 We're going to take the education of our children seriously.
00:56:12.000 And it's getting very, let's just say, a lot of people have some feedback about my speech.
00:56:18.000 And if anyone is unclear, by the way, about how I stand on this and if I want to clarify anything, I really have nothing to clarify from the speech tonight.
00:56:25.000 Trump is the bodyguard of Western civilization.
00:56:27.000 We are living in a gift of the United States of America, the greatest gift that we could possibly have in this time and this place to live in this country.
00:56:32.000 We must preserve this place.
00:56:34.000 Donald Trump is the person to protect your family from the vengeful, malevolent mob that have never built anything in their life.
00:56:40.000 They've only torn down.
00:56:41.000 They've only destroyed.
00:56:42.000 And Donald Trump, every single day, pushes forward the ideas of a free society, one where you can speak your mind, the marketplace of ideas, private property, free enterprise, a strong America, strong borders against the Chinese Communist Party and elsewhere.
00:56:55.000 And so I think this is kind of a troll of the question, but I think it's worth retorting because I don't know if he's being, you know, I just think it's worth responding to.
00:57:02.000 He says, hi, Charlie, just a question.
00:57:04.000 Do you think that black lives matter?
00:57:05.000 I'm not asking if you support the organization, but do you believe that lives of the black people in this country matter?
00:57:09.000 Of course I do.
00:57:10.000 That's why I'm a Republican.
00:57:11.000 Democrats don't believe that.
00:57:12.000 They don't.
00:57:14.000 I mean, I think that the slaughter that is happening in the inner cities of our country is unacceptable.
00:57:18.000 That's why I think that we should have more police, not less police.
00:57:21.000 If you want less police, you do not believe that black lives truly matter.
00:57:25.000 BLM Incorporated, they use that phrase to try to, oh, we care.
00:57:28.000 Well, no, you only care if you can use a very specific filmed incident to be able to raise money and cause racial division and chaos because you, in your own words, are trained Marxists.
00:57:38.000 I believe that black lives matter.
00:57:40.000 I believe that all lives matter.
00:57:42.000 That's why I'm a conservative.
00:57:42.000 That's why I'm a patriot.
00:57:43.000 That's why I'm a constitutionalist.
00:57:44.000 I'm a Christian.
00:57:45.000 I believe that all lives matter.
00:57:47.000 That's why I'm pro-life.
00:57:48.000 That's why I'm not okay with the 350,000 abortions that happen every single year in the black community, sometimes as high as 400,000 that happen every single year.
00:57:56.000 I think that's immoral.
00:57:57.000 And Democrats want more money, more abortions, and more black lives to be slaughtered in the womb.
00:58:02.000 I'm not okay with that morally, and the Democrats should be put on defense every single time when that issue comes up.
00:58:07.000 Do you know that a black person is 18 and a half times more likely to kill a police officer than a police officer is to kill a black person, an unarmed black person?
00:58:16.000 If we're honest about what's actually happening in our inner cities, as I recited the Chicago crime rates, 491 total homicides this year, just in Chicago, 2,689 total shot, 2,239 shot and wounded, and 450 shot and killed.
00:58:30.000 And a vast majority of them are black on black crime.
00:58:33.000 A vast majority of them are black people killing black people.
00:58:36.000 And so, of course, I believe that black lives matter.
00:58:39.000 I believe that all lives matter, and there's nothing wrong with saying those words.
00:58:42.000 All lives matter.
00:58:43.000 We're all given a gift from God, which is life, and we should protect the innocent.
00:58:48.000 And Democrats do not believe that.
00:58:50.000 Parnell had a really good clip here, Sean Parnell running for Congress in Pennsylvania.
00:58:54.000 I want to play the tape and I'm going to react to it.
00:58:58.000 With alarm as the party of my grandfather, a lifelong Union Democrat, turned against the very people it professed to represent.
00:59:06.000 I watched as Joe Biden spit venom at an auto worker who dared to question Joe's intent to dismantle the Second Amendment and take your guns.
00:59:14.000 Where Democrats once stood for hardworking, law-abiding Americans who displayed our flag with pride, this new Democrat Party considers these people uneducated racists clinging to guns and Bibles.
00:59:27.000 The party of Harry Truman became the party of hedge fund managers, Hollywood celebrities, tech moguls, and university professors, all bloated with contempt for middle America.
00:59:38.000 I look across the aisle and I do not see a party that wants you to pursue your dreams.
00:59:44.000 I see a Democrat party that wants to dictate what those dreams are.
00:59:49.000 Phenomenal.
00:59:50.000 I'm going to get the exact wording here, and our team is going to pull it for me here.
00:59:53.000 I want to make sure I got it right.
00:59:55.000 It went from the party of Harry Truman and the party of the middle class to hedge fund managers, Hollywood celebrities, university professors.
01:00:01.000 I'm missing one.
01:00:02.000 Phenomenal.
01:00:02.000 Sean Parnell running for Congress in Pennsylvania is worthy of your support.
01:00:07.000 That's one of the greatest lines of the entire convention.
01:00:09.000 In fact, I'm going to reuse it and I will give it attribution.
01:00:12.000 It went from a party that now represents the ruling class in Malibu and Manhattan, no longer the working class in Missouri or Montana, one that instead represents the elitist, the most elitist form of individuals in our entire country.
01:00:28.000 Donald Trump Jr. had another great line here that I want to get to.
01:00:30.000 I believe we have it queued up here about what if you call 911, it might go to voicemail.
01:00:36.000 It's very, very disturbing and very effective imagery.
01:00:40.000 Play tape.
01:00:41.000 Is held accountable?
01:00:43.000 What happened to George Floyd is a disgrace.
01:00:45.000 And if you know a police officer, you know they agree with that too.
01:00:49.000 But we cannot lose sight of the fact that our police are American heroes.
01:00:53.000 They deserve our deepest appreciation.
01:00:57.000 Because no matter what the Democrats say, you and I both know when we dial 911, we don't want it going to voicemail.
01:01:06.000 So defunding the police is not an option.
01:01:09.000 Everything starts with safety and security.
01:01:12.000 You can't have anything else without it.
01:01:14.000 You can't focus on building a better future for your children without the peace of mind that they can study safely in their classrooms, play safely in their neighborhoods, and sleep safely in their beds.
01:01:27.000 And it's exactly right.
01:01:28.000 If you do not have peace and stability, if you do not have the rule of law, you do not have a country.
01:01:33.000 You guys can email us your questions, freedom at charliekirk.com.
01:01:35.000 We are answering them live here.
01:01:37.000 Hi, Charlie.
01:01:38.000 Great speech tonight.
01:01:38.000 What do you see as the impediment to taking back control of the cities and our great nation that have been overrun by domestic terrorism in the form of BLM and Antifa?
01:01:46.000 Thank you for all you do, LNG, Sandwich, Massachusetts.
01:01:50.000 The biggest impediment is that we do not have leaders, Democrat leaders that actually care about the cities that they represent.
01:01:56.000 I mean, there's no way that you can see what is happening in the inner cities of this country, like in Chicago, the rioting and the looting and the arson, and be perfectly okay with that.
01:02:04.000 It's quite honestly, it is a problem of, and you're not supposed to do this in politics, but I just do it all the time.
01:02:12.000 I am going to criticize and critique their motives.
01:02:17.000 I believe the Democrats have bad motives.
01:02:18.000 I think the Democrats are perfectly okay with the criminals running these cities.
01:02:21.000 They've done nothing to stop the widespread criminality and the arson.
01:02:24.000 Problems that are not confronted multiply.
01:02:27.000 If you do not confront tyrants at the very moment that they try to break the law and they try to prey on the innocent, they are going to continue to grow.
01:02:34.000 They will then expand their ranks and they will go after more people that cannot defend themselves.
01:02:39.000 That is the only way that you can possibly go up against this and the only way that you can possibly defend up against tyranny.
01:02:44.000 Andrea says this: Hi, Charlie.
01:02:46.000 Would you recommend, what would you recommend as the top three reasons a Christian should vote for Trump?
01:02:50.000 I have many friends and family who are Christian yet who refuse to vote for Trump.
01:02:53.000 Andrea, well, let me tell you my perspective.
01:02:55.000 Number one, I'm not prepared to go in front of my creator and say I did nothing when it came to the one million abortions happening in this country every single year.
01:03:02.000 That's number one.
01:03:03.000 And if you're a Christian not voting for the person who is defending for the unborn, then I have a lot of questions about that.
01:03:08.000 If you're willing to sit that out and say, you know, a million abortions a year, we're perfectly okay with that.
01:03:12.000 That's a huge red flag for me.
01:03:14.000 Number two, the most important thing you can do in your life is accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
01:03:20.000 The second most important thing you can do in your life is to make sure you could do the first thing.
01:03:24.000 Right now, the Democrats are disallowing churches from opening.
01:03:26.000 They are criminalizing, penalizing pastors like my pastor, Pastor Rob McCoy in Thousand Oaks, California.
01:03:32.000 And if you are not going to the ballot box to vote for the person who is defending your right to free expression as a Christian, then I got a lot of questions about that.
01:03:39.000 And finally, number three is education.
01:03:41.000 Do you want educational freedom?
01:03:42.000 Do you want your kids to love Jesus, love God, love our country?
01:03:47.000 All that is under attack if Joe Biden takes office.
01:03:50.000 School choice will become highly criminalized, if not illegal.
01:03:53.000 Homeschooling is going to be under attack very, very soon.
01:03:56.000 And we're going to see the American church further and further criminalized by these radical Democrats that want nothing but the ultimate and absolute pursuit of power.
01:04:04.000 Those are three reasons.
01:04:05.000 But even more than that, how could you vote for Joe Biden, who is anti-Israel, pro-Iran, anti-life, has basically said he's going to put more anti-Christian justices on the Supreme Court, like Sotamayor, Ginsburg, and Breyer?
01:04:17.000 That's just the starting point for Joe Biden.
01:04:19.000 He surrounds himself with bitter, secular humanists that want nothing but the total and complete disintegration of our country.
01:04:25.000 For Christians to sit this election out, if you're okay with the entire country burning down to the ground, then fine.
01:04:31.000 I believe it is immoral to allow the country to burn down around you if you do not do everything you possibly can.
01:04:35.000 Get active, get engaged, donate, make phone calls.
01:04:38.000 And of course, the least you could do is go vote for Donald Trump, the bodyguard of Western society.
01:04:43.000 Vernon Jones, a black Democrat state representative who switched from Democrat to Republican, he had an incredible speech tonight.
01:04:50.000 Play tape.
01:04:52.000 Now, you know, when I made the public announcement of my support for President Trump, all hell broke loose.
01:05:00.000 I was threatened, called an embarrassment, and asked to resign by my own party.
01:05:07.000 Unfortunately, that's consistent with the Democratic Party and how they view independent thinking black men and women.
01:05:20.000 But I'm here to tell you that black voices are becoming more woke and louder than ever.
01:05:30.000 You're not going to see that on CNN in the morning.
01:05:32.000 What did he say?
01:05:33.000 Black voices are becoming more woke and louder than ever before.
01:05:37.000 There is movement happening in the black community, the likes of which the activist media will not tell you.
01:05:41.000 You know why?
01:05:42.000 There are millions and millions of black voters that do not want widespread crime, rioting, and loose looting.
01:05:48.000 And Leo Terrell, who I used to go up against on Fox News and debate head to head, has now become the biggest Trump supporter you could possibly imagine.
01:05:56.000 Love that guy.
01:05:58.000 He's just been phenomenal lately.
01:05:59.000 And he's honestly become one of my favorite people to go on TV with.
01:06:02.000 He used to debate that guy like you wouldn't believe.
01:06:04.000 He used to say that Donald Trump was all these awful things and all these.
01:06:07.000 Now he's saying, he said, can I go vote now?
01:06:09.000 I love Donald Trump.
01:06:10.000 I love Republicans.
01:06:10.000 I love the rule of law.
01:06:11.000 There is an awakening happening.
01:06:13.000 Some people say it's an awokening.
01:06:15.000 I don't know if that's a term that is going to be used very often, but I saw that somewhere.
01:06:19.000 Vernon Jones is saying that the black community is waking up to what is happening.
01:06:22.000 Praise God.
01:06:23.000 And Donald Trump is the defender of forgotten America.
01:06:26.000 Donald Trump has brought dignity to black America.
01:06:28.000 Donald Trump has defended black America with historical black funding college universities for a step back, opportunity zones, lowest ever black unemployment rate, standing with police, which means you're standing with the black community.
01:06:39.000 Let's get to another question here: freedom at charliekirk.com, freedom at charliekirk.com.
01:06:43.000 Hi, Charlie.
01:06:43.000 As a 25-year-old conservative, I have lots of friends who blame Trump for the poor handling of the pandemic.
01:06:48.000 What's your response to people who believe this?
01:06:50.000 How do we refute this with data?
01:06:51.000 Thanks for all you do.
01:06:52.000 Best, Sarah.
01:06:52.000 It's complete and total nonsense.
01:06:54.000 First of all, how do you plan for a one-in-a-century pandemic?
01:06:57.000 Number one.
01:06:58.000 Number two, President Trump had a record response when it came to ventilators, hospital response, and treatment therapies all across the board.
01:07:04.000 It's Barack Obama that left all the shelves completely and totally empty post-his presidency.
01:07:09.000 It is President Trump that stepped up heroically, has been streamlining the processes throughout the federal food and drug administration, and has quite honestly, thank goodness we had President Trump, not Hillary Clinton, during this time of national crisis and virus.
01:07:22.000 Email us your questions, everybody, freedom at charliekirk.com.
01:07:25.000 It was an honor to be able to speak at the convention tonight.
01:07:28.000 Honor to be able to defend our president.
01:07:30.000 I believe tonight I was one of the youngest speakers.
01:07:33.000 I think Natalie Harp actually might be younger than I am, but I was one of the youngest speakers tonight.
01:07:38.000 Honor to be able to communicate to the next generation.
01:07:41.000 And I'm going to hold transcript of my speech because I actually think it's worth reading, not just listening to.
01:07:46.000 For young families that are uncertain that the mob might come for your children, they might.
01:07:51.000 And that's why you have to go elect Donald Trump.
01:07:52.000 If you're worried that your kids might be taught to hate America, they might.
01:07:56.000 And that's why we have to go elect Donald Trump.
01:07:58.000 Our kids will love America again.
01:07:59.000 Our kids will appreciate the founding of our country.
01:08:01.000 We will build monuments to heroes, not tear them down.
01:08:03.000 We will not divide based on the immutable characteristics.
01:08:07.000 And to be able to speak on the national stage as a 26-year-old who runs a national organization, who is told by everyone that I was going to fail at every single turn, I'm living the American dream.
01:08:18.000 And that's kind of one of the closing notes I want to give is that I'm 26 years old.
01:08:22.000 I didn't go to college.
01:08:24.000 I worked hard, got really lucky, met some great people on the way, was able to address the entire country from the national stage.
01:08:31.000 This is still a beautiful country, guys.
01:08:32.000 I'm living everything I talk about every single day.
01:08:34.000 And I'm incredibly grateful, not angry, that I live in this country.
01:08:38.000 And I think we have to continue to preserve this country as a place that fights for the rule of law, that understands the Constitution, that can articulate the founding of our country.
01:08:49.000 And I just got confirmation I was the youngest speaker tonight.
01:08:52.000 I don't think I'm the youngest at the convention because Madison Cawthorne is speaking, who is, I know, younger than me, and hopefully, God willing, is going to be the youngest elected person coming to Congress in the history of our country, God willing.
01:09:04.000 It was an honor to be able to speak tonight at the Republican National Convention, and even beyond that, it's an honor to be in the fight.
01:09:12.000 I can trace my ancestry all the way back to 1620 to this country.
01:09:17.000 I can go even further back to Scotland.
01:09:20.000 My ancestors sacrificed and built this country, fought in the Revolutionary War, they fought in the Civil War, they fought in World War I.
01:09:27.000 They fought in World War II.
01:09:29.000 My family has, in many different ways, helped create the greatest country ever to exist in the history of the world.
01:09:35.000 And it's just the greatest honor to now be involved in the fight that might determine the entire civilization that we are living in today.
01:09:43.000 And for all of you that are watching right now, you saw very clearly, if you watched last week and you watched tonight, you saw a very clear contrast of visions for our country between the bitter Democrats and the hopeful, optimistic Republicans.
