The Charlie Kirk Show

A Perfect VP Pairing + Peter Navarro Straight From Prison ft. Peter Navarro, Blake Masters, Maureen Bannon, Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, Ben Bergquam, Rep. Troy Nehls

Summary

J.D. Vance Accepted the Democratic Nomination for Vice President of the United States on Tuesday night in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We sat down with Blake Masters, who is running for Congress in Arizona, to talk about the momentous moment and how it was for him to accept the nomination. We also talked about why he chose to run for the nomination and why he thinks it was a good idea to run against Joe Biden for VP. We also discussed how important it is to have a VP candidate who understands what it means to be an American. And, of course, we had a special guest on the show today, Charlie Kirk, who has been a long time friend of J.D.'s and has been involved with Turning Point USA since the early days of the organization. 00:01:17.000 Okay, everybody, we are here live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and we have an amazing first guest.
00:01:22.000 I'm just going to dive right into it.
00:01:24.000 Is it fair to say you're one of J.D.' 's closest friends?
00:01:27.000 You've known J.D.
00:01:28.000 a long time.
00:01:28.000 I've known him a long time.
00:01:29.000 He's awesome.
00:01:30.000 It's Blake Masters, everybody, who is running for Congress in Arizona.
00:01:33.000 Great American.
00:01:35.000 Both of us know J.D.
00:01:36.000 really well.
00:01:37.000 And you've known him in a different, in a business environment world before all of this.
00:01:42.000 Just, what were you feeling last night?
00:01:45.000 I was just so proud, you know, and it's weird because he's my friend and all of a sudden he's up there and man, he was just vice presidential, right?
00:01:52.000 I mean, he sort of brought the house down.
00:01:54.000 He's obviously got this powerful bio, right?
00:01:57.000 This great American story.
00:01:58.000 There's a movie about it.
00:01:59.000 You can watch it on Netflix.
00:02:00.000 It's amazing.
00:02:01.000 But I know him as a businessman and he was able to talk about business, but obviously he and Donald Trump, they have these amazing business backgrounds, but they know that Main Street is more important than Wall Street.
00:02:11.000 J.D.' 's got this amazing bio, but he used that bio to hammer at Joe Biden's decades-long history of corruption, right?
00:02:19.000 So anyone can just throw talking points out.
00:02:21.000 Oh, Biden sucks.
00:02:22.000 We know that.
00:02:23.000 But J.D.
00:02:23.000 was able to get up there and just in a very statesman-like way say, when I was in fourth grade, here's this thing that Biden did to sell our country out.
00:02:30.000 When I was in high school, here's what he did.
00:02:32.000 So he got that Biden was too old.
00:02:34.000 He got that Biden has been a corrupt career politician forever.
00:02:37.000 He told, he introduced to so many people his great American story, and I just think it was 10 out of 10 home run.
00:02:43.000 We have Blake Masters who's running for Congress in what district in Arizona?
00:02:47.000 Arizona's 8th district.
00:02:48.000 Northwest Phoenix, so it's got some Phoenix, but then Peoria, Glendale, Sun Cities, all the way up to Anthem and New River.
00:02:53.000 Great folks there.
00:02:54.000 So Blake, you've known J.D.
00:02:56.000 for quite some time.
00:02:57.000 Tell us about J.D.
00:02:58.000 the person and how unexpected, I mean, two years ago, could you have expected that J.D.
00:03:04.000 Vance Would be accepting the nomination for Vice President of the United States?
00:03:10.000 It's really, really incredible.
00:03:11.000 Couldn't be more proud of him.
00:03:13.000 I remember the day that Portman announced his retirement from the Senate in Ohio, and I got on the phone with J.D., you know, and I think a lot of people were too, so I don't take the credit, but it's like, dude, you have to do this, right?
00:03:24.000 I knew he was going to be the best U.S.
00:03:25.000 Senator for Ohio.
00:03:26.000 But two and a half years ago, no, I couldn't have imagined it.
00:03:29.000 Now he's up there and he earned it.
00:03:31.000 I think he's been the most stalwart ally of President Trump in the Senate.
00:03:36.000 He's shown tremendous vision in the Senate.
00:03:38.000 Mainly I'm excited for my friend, but no, mainly I'm excited for the country because we get a businessman, a devoted father, a technologist, and someone who just really cares about all the people in this country that the elite ruling class has forgotten.
00:03:51.000 So let's go through some of the elements of the speech.
00:03:53.000 So neoliberalism, which is a failed project of the bipartisan cartel that has ruined this country, they rely on a fake three-legged stool, which is mass migration, unfettered free trade, and adventurous and endless stupid foreign wars.
00:04:08.000 Invade the world, invite the world.
00:04:09.000 J.D.
00:04:10.000 Vance methodically went through all three of the three-legged stool of neoliberalism.
00:04:17.000 Tell us about that.
00:04:17.000 I mean, for those of us that are kind of political nerds, it was a chef's kiss masterclass saying, Arrivederci, Bush Cheney.
00:04:26.000 Right.
00:04:27.000 It reminded me a little bit of Buchanan in 92, right?
00:04:29.000 Except this time we're ascendant.
00:04:30.000 We're triumphant.
00:04:32.000 And then President Trump deserves so much credit for this.
00:04:34.000 It's like, what did Trump run on in 2016?
00:04:36.000 Why was he able to so effortlessly dominate that field?
00:04:39.000 It's because he wanted better trade policy that would actually work for the American worker.
00:04:43.000 border restriction right he knew that border security is national security he
00:04:47.000 wanted to stop all of these adventuresome wars to export democracy
00:04:51.000 right and Trump's not a pacifist he knows how to punch a bully in the nose
00:04:54.000 you remember Soleimani when he was taking him out yes but but you know and
00:04:59.000 is so perfect at this, too.
00:05:00.000 He enlisted in the Marine Corps right after 9-11, right?
00:05:03.000 So this is a guy who's willing to fight America's wars, but through observation and experience came to distrust all the forever wars.
00:05:09.000 So J.D.
00:05:10.000 is willing to fight, but he has the wisdom to know when to fight and when not to.
00:05:13.000 And in that sense, I think he's a perfect complement to President Trump's foreign policy.
00:05:16.000 And he was not shy about connecting through.
00:05:20.000 It was so beautiful.
00:05:22.000 He said, if you're a newcomer coming to the country, I've never heard that term before.
00:05:26.000 Have you?
00:05:27.000 Newcomer.
00:05:28.000 Not often used.
00:05:29.000 And so, you know, not immigrant, not dreamer, but a newcomer.
00:05:32.000 And he was very clear.
00:05:33.000 We welcome them on our terms.
00:05:36.000 On America's terms.
00:05:37.000 That was a big applause line.
00:05:38.000 It was huge.
00:05:39.000 It was huge.
00:05:39.000 Explain why that has never been said before in a Republican speech that I know of, other than Donald Trump.
00:05:46.000 I think too many Republicans, you know, they give consultant-provided talking points.
00:05:50.000 Oh, America is an idea.
00:05:51.000 It's, you know, and J.D., you know, dismantled that idea.
00:05:54.000 He said, yeah, look, we've got great ideas.
00:05:55.000 They're built into the founding documents.
00:05:57.000 All men are created equal.
00:05:58.000 You know, you can read the Declaration, read the Constitution.
00:06:01.000 But America is not just an idea.
00:06:02.000 We are a nation and a people with a history, a common history and a common future.
00:06:07.000 So, yes, newcomers welcome on our terms.
00:06:09.000 Maybe we should streamline the legal immigration system.
00:06:12.000 But the correct amount of illegal immigration is zero.
00:06:15.000 J.D.
00:06:15.000 Vance understands that very well.
00:06:17.000 And then finally, he was able to talk about free trade and the deindustrialization.
00:06:21.000 J.D.
00:06:22.000 Vance should have come out with a Big Ten conference shirt.
00:06:25.000 The Big Ten.
00:06:26.000 How many times did he say Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Ohio?
00:06:31.000 This was brilliant by the Trump campaign to regionalize the race.
00:06:38.000 Your thoughts?
00:06:39.000 I think that's right, you know.
00:06:40.000 I mean, who knows if Joe Biden is actually going to be the nominee.
00:06:42.000 It's increasingly looking like he might not be.
00:06:44.000 But if he is, he's just going to say, oh, I'm Joe from Scranton, Pennsylvania, right?
00:06:49.000 Joe Biden is out of touch with the people of Pennsylvania.
00:06:51.000 J.D.
00:06:52.000 Vance is not, right?
00:06:53.000 J.D.
00:06:53.000 has seen and lived the deindustrialization of the Rust Belt.
00:06:57.000 He has a plan.
00:06:58.000 It's the Trump-Vance agenda.
00:07:00.000 We know what to do to fix this.
00:07:01.000 And J.D.
00:07:02.000 has just lived this.
00:07:02.000 So he can connect with those voters.
00:07:04.000 And I think Trump and J.D.
00:07:06.000 Closing here before we bring up Peter Navarro, who's out of federal prison.
00:07:14.000 What's up, my man?
00:07:15.000 Glad you're okay.
00:07:17.000 Thank you, thank you.
00:07:18.000 Blake, I want you to plug your race, if you so choose.
00:07:22.000 How could people support you?
00:07:23.000 What's going on?
00:07:24.000 And I want to hand off to Peter Navarro.
00:07:25.000 Thank you so much.
00:07:26.000 Honored to be running to represent Arizona's 8th congressional district.
00:07:29.000 Honored to be endorsed by our next vice president, J.D.
00:07:32.000 Vance, who's going to be amazing.
00:07:34.000 I'm in a tough primary, but I'm going to win.
00:07:36.000 And when I do, I'm going to be President Trump and J.D.
00:07:39.000 Vance's best ally in the House of Representatives.
00:07:42.000 Awesome.
00:07:42.000 Blake, you're the man.
00:07:43.000 Thank you so much.
00:07:44.000 All right, give it up for Blake Masters, everybody.
00:07:46.000 Great.
00:07:48.000 Now joining us... These are my two power forwards for the basketball team.
00:07:53.000 I'm going to form in DC.
00:07:55.000 We're changing the Republican Party in many different ways.
00:07:58.000 Great to see you, brother.
00:07:59.000 Great to see you, Peter.
00:08:00.000 So, you're out of federal prison.
00:08:02.000 You're killing it, by the way.
00:08:03.000 I mean...
00:08:04.000 You're really important to this whole effort because you're tapping into a whole new generation of Americans that are predisposed to the woke side, and they're seeing what's going wrong, partly because you're getting out there and doing it, and they're coming to our side.
00:08:25.000 So, you're important, brother.
00:08:27.000 You know this.
00:08:29.000 So, Peter, you were released yesterday?
00:08:32.000 So you woke up in a federal prison cell yesterday morning.
00:08:37.000 How long was your prison sentence?
00:08:40.000 120 days.
00:08:43.000 What's interesting, my theme last night was that, simply, if we don't control our government, our government will control us.
00:08:54.000 If we don't control all three branches of our government, executive, legislative, judicial, They'll put some of us, like me and Bannon, in prison and they'll control the rest of it.
00:09:03.000 What you gotta, the people in America understand, unless you go through it, you don't get it.
00:09:09.000 It's like everybody involved in putting me into prison, Was a Democrat across all three stages and branches of our government.
00:09:21.000 It was the House of Representatives and a Democrat majority, because we didn't work hard enough in 2018, 2020 to keep the gavel out of her hand.
00:09:31.000 They held me in contempt for a crime that's not a crime.
00:09:33.000 It was a Democrat Attorney General in the executive branch.
00:09:37.000 And it was a Democrat judge, just like Marshawn in Manhattan with Trump, Strip me of every single defense.
00:09:46.000 And then, something I haven't really talked a lot about, but the rot in the courts is so bad.
00:09:51.000 The judges on the appeals court who said I had to go to prison after I got convicted before I could appeal my case, which is a landmark constitutional case on executive privilege, constitutional separation of powers.
00:10:08.000 Democrats married To people who raise money in lobby for Democrats.
00:10:16.000 This is the weaponization of what the boss calls the American injustice system.
00:10:25.000 And unless we control all three branches of our government, They're going to control us, and that was what I was trying to communicate.
00:10:34.000 And the other thing I said, Charlie, is I went to prison, so you won't have to.
00:10:39.000 And what I meant by that is that if my case makes people aware of the depth of that rot in the Democrat elites, and I want to be careful here to distinguish between the elites Driving that party in a radical direction.
00:10:59.000 And the voters.
00:10:59.000 And the voters, Democrats, Who are disenfranchised by, disengaged from, and disgusted with that radical left.
00:11:09.000 These are the people we're going to need to win Milwaukee.
00:11:14.000 You're going to help us win Madison where the students are.
00:11:16.000 We're working on it.
00:11:17.000 Losing by less in Dane County.
00:11:19.000 And Ann Arbor, you gotta, I'm sure you're all going to win Ann Arbor.
00:11:23.000 We're doing a huge event, right?
00:11:24.000 I'm doing 21 campus events, Peter, in battleground states.
00:11:27.000 I'm telling you, this guy...
00:11:30.000 Is part of the secret sauce that's going to turn things.
00:11:33.000 You're very sweet.
00:11:34.000 We're getting we're going to get black, brown and blue collar America on the borders.
00:11:38.000 Young voters.
00:11:39.000 This guy and turning point action is is.
00:11:45.000 And look.
00:11:47.000 It's the way you do it.
00:11:49.000 It's the way you do it.
00:11:50.000 You do it through information.
00:11:53.000 Thank you.
00:11:53.000 It's not like indoctrination.
00:11:56.000 It's like you don't go out there and run MSNBC crap.
00:12:00.000 No.
00:12:00.000 Propaganda.
00:12:04.000 Hey everybody, Charlie Kirk here.
00:12:05.000 Stop what you're doing and listen to this.
00:12:07.000 Your God-given freedoms are up for the taking.
00:12:10.000 Even worse, those doing the taking are the same people who've sworn to defend your freedom.
00:12:15.000 They think they can violate your right to protect your family.
00:12:18.000 They think they can force their delusions onto your children.
00:12:21.000 They think they can force the media and hide the truth.
00:12:24.000 But you know what they can't take away?
00:12:26.000 They cannot take away self-reliance and peace of mind.
00:12:30.000 Got water filtration?
00:12:31.000 Well, you should!
00:12:32.000 A charged solar generator?

00:13:12.000 I want to welcome on stage Maureen Bannon.
00:13:16.000 So, so Peter, I've heard some rumors.
00:13:20.000 Is it true you didn't eat for 120 days?
00:13:25.000 Prison food's kind of interesting.
00:13:27.000 I did drop about 10 pounds.
00:13:29.000 I can't tell if it was the COVID that went through the door.
00:13:34.000 Oh, you got COVID in prison?
00:13:35.000 I did, yeah.
00:13:36.000 Were you treated okay?
00:13:37.000 I would not, okay?
00:13:39.000 Because when I'm home, I eat clean.
00:13:42.000 I have hydroxy if I get any of that crap.
00:13:46.000 But you're in like...
00:13:48.000 You're in a situation where you're sleeping with 50 guys, right?
00:13:54.000 In bunk beds, all in there.
00:13:58.000 So one guy gets sick, right?
00:14:00.000 One guy gets sick.
00:14:01.000 And everyone gets sick.
00:14:02.000 And then, three weeks, and it just works its way around.
00:14:07.000 And the food's bad, whatever.
00:14:11.000 I'm going to talk a lot about prison next week, okay?
00:14:14.000 What I want to focus on while I'm here at this convention are things like the beauty of J.D.
00:14:20.000 Vance.
00:14:21.000 He's like the perfect vice president.
00:14:23.000 So I want us to pause.
00:14:25.000 For the audience that might be, oh, you know, I'm not sure about, you know, I love the J.D.
00:14:28.000 speech.
00:14:29.000 Tell us the significance of this, Peter.
00:14:31.000 I'm going to, I'm going to, for me, this is, this is personal.
00:14:34.000 I have actually never met James David Vance.
00:14:38.000 But he and I are the two sides of the very same coin.
00:14:43.000 Let's take you back to 2003.
00:14:45.000 I'm teaching business students at the University of California, Irvine.
00:14:50.000 I'm noticing that they're losing their jobs and fully enrolled programs.
00:14:54.000 I'm trying to figure out what the hell's going on.
00:14:56.000 This is two years, Charlie, after Communist China joined the World Trade Organization.
00:15:01.000 And that set off my whole odyssey.
00:15:03.000 It wasn't cheap labor.
00:15:04.000 It was all the other stuff they were doing.
00:15:06.000 Stealing our intellectual property, the subsidy, all of that, right?
00:15:10.000 And the point is that I wrote the coming China Wars book, 2006.
00:15:13.000 That's the one the boss read, and that's why I'm standing here today.
00:15:17.000 He said it was a great book, and that's how I came in.
00:15:20.000 But here's the point.
00:15:22.000 I'm looking at this problem from 30,000 feet.
00:15:25.000 PhD in economics, I'm kind of looking down as, okay, we got this macro problem.
00:15:30.000 We're losing all our manufacturing base, losing millions of jobs, wage depression.
00:15:35.000 It's going to lead to what would eventually was the Great Recession 2008-2009.
00:15:39.000 I'm seeing specs, 30,000 feet, I can only see specs, right?
00:15:44.000 One of those specs was J.D.
00:15:45.000 Vance.
00:15:46.000 Another one was his mother.
00:15:47.000 Another one was his father.
00:15:49.000 More were his community.
00:15:51.000 And the whole area.
00:15:53.000 And the experience that I was analyzing up here, he was living.
00:16:02.000 And that's the point.
00:16:04.000 It's the lived experience of MAGA.
00:16:07.000 And the three people, I think, that get it so well, and even better than JD and I, just because of who he is, is Donald Trump.
00:16:18.000 And it's in J.D.
00:16:21.000 Vance's DNA that you have to have manufacturing and good jobs for black, brown, and blue-collar Americans.
00:16:33.000 And that's the key, and it's, Charlie, it's not just, it's just not the white picket fence and prosperity, it's our national defense.
00:16:41.000 It's having that arsenal of democracy.
00:16:42.000 And you have a book about this out, right?
00:16:44.000 Yeah, and well, the new MAGA deal just came out, it's Don Gino, thanks for mentioning that.
00:16:50.000 New MAGA deal.
00:16:51.000 Sergio would kill me if I didn't.
00:16:52.000 Yeah, well, Sergio is amazing, he's like... Where is he?
00:16:57.000 He'll be here.
00:16:58.000 He's out talking probably to the president, which he does frequently.
00:17:02.000 But Don Jr.
00:17:02.000 is the publisher.
00:17:03.000 Newmagadeal.com.
00:17:05.000 Marine, how is your father doing?
00:17:07.000 He's doing good.
00:17:08.000 He's keeping himself busy.
00:17:10.000 He's reading a lot of books and articles.
00:17:15.000 He can't get the internet in there, so you have to copy and paste every article you want him to read.
00:17:22.000 No, about the same.
00:17:22.000 He's reading about the same that he did on the outside, just in a different location.
00:17:28.000 They will chop his mail up, too.
00:17:31.000 I don't know if you know this.
00:17:32.000 A lot of people sent me stuff.
00:17:34.000 A lot of people sent you stuff, yeah.
00:17:35.000 It got censored.
00:17:36.000 And he told the posse not to write him letters that he wasn't going to read them because he wants everyone to stay focused on being active, being involved.
00:17:45.000 We need to make sure that Donald Trump Has a victory on November 5th and is sworn in in January at high noon.
00:17:55.000 So instead of taking the time to write him a letter, he wants everyone to get involved.
00:17:59.000 If that means, you know, door knocking or being part of a phone bank for your local candidate, even all the way up to the federal level, that's what he wants.
00:18:07.000 So Peter, having now been through federal prison and seeing Steve in that position, it's very clear that this is a political move to take our top lieutenants off the field.
00:18:21.000 No question about it.
00:18:22.000 So dive into that.
00:18:24.000 Well, look, you put me and Steve in prison and you have a signal that's sent out.
00:18:33.000 Don't be an advisor to Trump.
00:18:35.000 So it's not just when they go after Trump.
00:18:38.000 Donald John Trump, where they make him divert his money from the campaign into legal, make him divert his attention from the campaign to dealing with his legal problems.
00:18:51.000 It's that now, it's like, everybody I serve with, Charlie, think about this, man.
00:18:57.000 It's like, who they got?
00:18:58.000 They're going after Meadows, the Chief of Staff.
00:19:01.000 They tried to go after Kash Patel.
00:19:06.000 Rudy certainly.
00:19:08.000 It's like two guys, I love these guys, Eastman and Jeff Clark.
00:19:16.000 John Eastman and Jeff Clark, right?
00:19:18.000 They took their bar cards.
00:19:20.000 Look, the way I ended the speech last night is I had my lovely girl come up and I wanted to explain.
00:19:29.000 It's like when they go out and after me or Steve or whatever, they're going after our families.
00:19:36.000 Two.
00:19:37.000 And when they take the livelihoods away from people like Eastman and Clark, they're hurting their families.
00:19:42.000 And so there's got to be accountability.
00:19:46.000 There's absolutely have to be accountability.
00:19:49.000 And yeah, I went to prison, so you won't have to.
00:19:53.000 It means simply that, hey, look at what they did to me.
00:19:58.000 All three branches of government involved.
00:20:01.000 All Democrats involved.
00:20:04.000 All strategically done.
00:20:06.000 To stop Donald Trump from being in the White House and if he gets to the White House from not having people there to serve him who will advance the Trump agenda.
00:20:18.000 But it ain't working because every time they go after Donald Trump It backfires on him.
00:20:26.000 And I think, look, I spent four months in prison, but the reception I got last night was the warmest thing I've ever seen.
00:20:33.000 And what it told me was simply, and I thank people for that.
00:20:37.000 I thank God for that.
00:20:37.000 It told me that my situation has made people aware So really quick, Peter.
00:20:45.000 J.D.
00:20:46.000 Vance last evening was an open critic of neoliberalism and this unfettered free trade and mass immigration.
00:20:53.000 What does that mean for the future of the Republican Party moving forward?
00:20:56.000 The significance of that?
00:20:58.000 Well, it coalesces Trump Republicanism, okay?
00:21:03.000 I mean, there's still a battle going on in the Republican Party between the Rhino faction and the Trump Republicans.
00:21:11.000 And one of the things we have to do to control our government is not just win the White House and all the Department of Agencies.
00:21:19.000 We gotta win the House with a Trump-Republican wall.
00:21:24.000 We gotta build that wall.
00:21:25.000 Right now, it's too slender.
00:21:27.000 And so, with J.D.
00:21:29.000 coming in, I mean, he is like you, Charlie.
00:21:33.000 He's the younger generation that is gonna bring in economic populism, border security, fair trade.
00:21:42.000 Really quick, Maureen, how can people best support your father right now?
00:21:45.000 And we're glad to hear he's doing well.
00:21:47.000 So the best way to support him is to actually watch War Room, share War Room, continue to watch your show, and support our sponsors.
00:21:56.000 So you can go to our social media pages to find out how to support our sponsors, but that's the best way to support him.
00:22:02.000 But also to do what you can, get involved, to help America First candidates get elected, and help Donald Trump get back in the White House in November.
00:22:12.000 Breaking news, Obama says Biden needs to reconsider his candidacy.
00:22:18.000 I don't know if that's applause or not.
00:22:20.000 No, I mean, look, it's all set up.
00:22:23.000 I said two years ago, Biden would not be the guy.
00:22:25.000 This race is going to be very, very close.
00:22:28.000 I'm telling you guys, do not celebrate.
00:22:30.000 Chase ballots instead.
00:22:32.000 Andrew Navarro, Maureen Bannon, thanks so much.
00:22:37.000 Hey everybody, Charlie Kirk here.
00:22:38.000 Is the bird flu the next pandemic?
00:22:39.000 Why do globalists keep talking about disease X?
00:22:42.000 Everyone knows the next medical crisis is just around the corner.
00:22:45.000 I refuse to lock down again or take another experimental vaccine.
00:22:49.000 What can I do?

00:23:41.000 Joining us now is Mark Robinson.
00:23:42.000 I've known you for a while, man.
00:23:44.000 You are a good American.
00:23:46.000 And you are the Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina, running for Governor of North Carolina.
00:23:52.000 This is one of the most high-profile gubernatorial races in the country, if not the most of this cycle.
00:24:00.000 Why is that?
00:24:01.000 Well, thank you.
00:24:02.000 First off, thank you for having me here.
00:24:04.000 We appreciate being here.
00:24:06.000 It's because the road to the White House goes right through North Carolina.
00:24:10.000 North Carolina is a serious battleground state.
00:24:13.000 And, you know, it's also because of the stark differences between my opponent and myself.
00:24:19.000 I believe in the tenets of freedom.
00:24:20.000 I believe in all the things that great conservatives believe in.
00:24:24.000 And my opponent, we're not really sure what he believes in.
00:24:27.000 He's been very vague about what his plans are.
00:24:29.000 But we've been clear about what we want.
00:24:31.000 We want economic prosperity.
00:24:34.000 We want parents to have the right to determine their children's educational destiny.
00:24:38.000 And we want to continue to spread freedom throughout our state.
00:24:41.000 And so we've been clear about those things.
00:24:44.000 You know, I've been part of a team there in Raleigh that got us from being deeply in debt to the federal government.
00:24:50.000 In fact, we were almost $6 billion in debt to the federal government.
00:24:54.000 Now we have a $5 billion surplus.
00:24:57.000 We're the number two destination in the nation for business right now.
00:25:00.000 We were number one for two years running.
00:25:02.000 That's all been because of a Republican-led legislature.
00:25:05.000 And I've been a part of that legislature for four years.
00:25:07.000 My opponent, on the other hand, was part of the legislature that had us deeply in debt and had us in economic doldrums.
00:25:13.000 You know, the differences are clear, and because of that, our race is very highlighted.
00:25:18.000 So, Lieutenant Governor, you're running for governor in a battleground state.
00:25:23.000 Joe Biden is behind significantly in North Carolina.
00:25:26.000 Breaking news, it just shows that Obama has now spoken.
00:25:30.000 The Pope of the Democrat Party has spoken ex cathedra, to use a Catholic term, and he has officially, from his chair, said, We are removing Biden.
00:25:42.000 Basically, that's what he said.
00:25:44.000 And so therefore, it's happening.
00:25:45.000 If they put in Kamala Harris, would that change the race in the battleground state of North Carolina?
00:25:52.000 No, I don't believe it changes the race at all because everybody knows the only difference between the two of them are their gender and, of course, their age.
00:26:01.000 Other than that, their policies are the exact same.
00:26:04.000 They're horrible.
00:26:05.000 She has supported every policy that he's passed to open our border wide open, to crash our economy, and put us in this precarious position on the world stage.
00:26:14.000 So it really doesn't change anything.
00:26:16.000 Other folks have said this exact same thing.
00:26:20.000 No matter who the Democratic Party puts up against President Trump, that person is going to support the policies of Joe Biden.
00:26:28.000 And the policies of Joe Biden have been disastrous.
00:26:31.000 So they will be rejected in North Carolina.
00:26:34.000 We know they'll be rejected in North Carolina, so it won't matter.
00:26:37.000 And so, is there any candidate potentially that we should look out for, or do you believe that the voters in North Carolina are ready to put Donald Trump back in the White House?
00:26:47.000 Absolutely, and again, there are some candidates that may tighten it up a tad bit, but I can tell you from all of my travels, not just in North Carolina, but across the country, Folks are tired of what's going on.
00:26:58.000 They're tired of the high gas prices, the high grocery prices, the inflation, the instability around the world.
00:27:05.000 This open border has caused a crisis of drugs and crime on our streets.
00:27:09.000 And are you feeling that North Carolina?
00:27:10.000 Absolutely.
00:27:11.000 Explain to our audience how open borders are impacting the Tar Heel State.
00:27:15.000 That one issue with the open borders, particularly that drug issue, is really driving some suburban moms to vote for strong conservatives that are going to keep their families safe.
00:27:26.000 It is a huge issue.
00:27:28.000 And we'd like to say we're glad to see it, but you can't say that because it's so sad when you look at what's going on.
00:27:34.000 How many kids, how many young people are dying?
00:27:36.000 There's so much suffering.
00:27:37.000 We don't like suffering.
00:27:38.000 Absolutely.
00:27:38.000 We don't want that to happen.
00:27:40.000 But it's just a simple fact of the matter.
00:27:43.000 It's happening, and it's driving people to our party in droves because we're standing up for law and order and what's right.
00:27:48.000 So, the media has attacked both of us together a lot this week, and they've attacked Donald Trump as being a racist.
00:27:55.000 What is your response to when they call Donald Trump a racist?
00:27:58.000 The most ridiculous thing that I've ever heard.
00:28:00.000 It was Donald Trump that had the president of the HBCUs into the White House.
00:28:06.000 You know, Obama brought rappers in.
00:28:09.000 President Trump brought in college presidents from HBCUs, asked them what they need, and then delivered exponentially to them.
00:28:18.000 From what I understand, Joe Biden has reversed that.
00:28:21.000 So, you know, when you talk about being a racist, you just said a racist.
00:28:24.000 You have to take a look at these two candidates.
00:28:27.000 Look at Joe Biden's record.
00:28:28.000 Look at the things that he has said out of his mouth, not just in the past, but in the present.
00:28:33.000 And you look at the actions of a man like President Trump, who has made it clear he wants all, he wants the tide to rise, all ships.
00:28:40.000 And that's exactly what delivered over the four years he was in office.
00:28:43.000 So Lieutenant Governor, the issue and portfolio set in front of us, we look at immigration, we look at inflation.
00:28:51.000 The Democrats, they have very, very little to run on, so they resort to name-calling and character assassination.
00:28:58.000 But another issue that I think we could play offense on is educational choice and mobility.
00:29:03.000 Would you agree?
00:29:04.000 Absolutely, it's paramount.
00:29:05.000 I tell everybody, North Carolina's education system will not be a great education system if parents don't have the right to control their children's educational destiny.
00:29:14.000 This is not a partnership between parents and government.
00:29:17.000 It's not a partnership between parents and bureaucrats.
00:29:20.000 This is a movement to make sure that parents have absolute control of their children's educational destiny.
00:29:26.000 We know that when parents are involved, the outcome is much more substantial.
00:29:32.000 But from my purview, if you give them total control, that ramps that up exponentially.
00:29:38.000 I completely agree.
00:29:41.000 Some of the speakers here at the convention, I thought it's been a very powerful convention through and through.
00:29:46.000 J.D.
00:29:46.000 Vance speaks to the needs, wants, and concerns of the forgotten man and woman, but North Carolina has some of those elements too, of a de-industrialized base.
00:29:53.000 Can you speak to that?
00:29:55.000 Well, you know, I myself was a victim of that.
00:29:57.000 I've lost two jobs to NAFTA.
00:29:59.000 The first job I had to leave when the furniture industry was being destroyed by NAFTA and the wages went down so low I couldn't survive on them.
00:30:07.000 The second job was even more disastrous.
00:30:10.000 There was a plant there at High Point that I worked at nearly 10 years.
00:30:14.000 Employed about 350 people, many of whom had worked there for decades, and all of a sudden they bought us in one day and said, we're moving to Mexico, there's nothing you can do about it, go find yourself another job.
00:30:24.000 That's not how we should operate in this country.
00:30:27.000 But unfortunately because politicians made bad decisions, the rest of us had to suffer.
00:30:32.000 That is beautifully put.
00:30:34.000 And so if you are to become governor of North Carolina, your vision would be to be a pro-business state, a pro-family state.
00:30:42.000 Absolutely.
00:30:42.000 Contrasted with your opponent.
00:30:44.000 Yes.
00:30:44.000 Where radical left elements.
00:30:47.000 Can you, for the national audience, explain?
00:30:49.000 North Carolina is very interesting because there's been a lot of people moving post-COVID into your beautiful state.
00:30:55.000 Sure.
00:30:56.000 But it hasn't necessarily made it bluer.
00:30:58.000 In some ways it's made it redder.
00:31:00.000 But you guys are a little goofy.
00:31:02.000 You like to elect Democrat governors.
00:31:04.000 Am I right?
00:31:05.000 Sure, sure.
00:31:06.000 But we're going to change that.
00:31:07.000 We are going to change that.
00:31:08.000 How was the last time there was a Republican governor?
00:31:10.000 Well, the last fellow that was up, my predecessor Dan Forrest, he was up against a tough challenger.
00:31:18.000 But he didn't win, right?
00:31:19.000 He did not win the governor's seat because there was a lot of different challenges.
00:31:23.000 COVID struck just at the right time.
00:31:25.000 McElroy or something?
00:31:25.000 Was that 10 years ago?
00:31:26.000 McElroy.
00:31:27.000 I'm sorry, yeah.
00:31:29.000 He was our governor before he won a term, and Roy Cooper took that seat.
00:31:34.000 But you know, what we want to do is we want to do just what they did in Florida.
00:31:38.000 Florida was skirting on becoming a blue state.
00:31:40.000 Ron DeSantis got in the office, and we believe we're going to get in the office.
00:31:44.000 We're going to do the same thing that he did.
00:31:45.000 We are going to deliver for the people of North Carolina.
00:31:48.000 We are going to make policies of our party undeniable.
00:31:52.000 When I say that, this is what I mean.
00:31:54.000 Folks might not like the fact that we're conservative.
00:31:57.000 They may not like our views, but we're going to make our policies so good and we're going to make our state so great and such an economic superpower that even those who disagree with us are going to say, you know, I don't like that guy's ideas and I don't like the way he speaks, but I'm going to North Carolina to do my business because my business will be successful.
00:32:16.000 Families.
00:32:16.000 That's exactly right.
00:32:17.000 Because right now, California, Andrew, can you tell me what happened in California?
00:32:21.000 I wasn't following the news.
00:32:22.000 It was so bad, Elon Musk is moving his companies to Texas.
00:32:26.000 So in California, teachers do not have to notify parents if their kids become transgender.
00:32:32.000 Absolutely.
00:32:33.000 If you're a governor, that will never happen in North Carolina.
00:32:35.000 Oh, absolutely not.
00:32:36.000 And our legislature has already spoken on those issues.
00:32:38.000 Our legislature has made it plain that if you intend to, if you want your son to compete against women in sports, That's not going to be possible in North Carolina.
00:32:48.000 That dog will not hunt in North Carolina.
00:32:49.000 That's exactly right.
00:32:49.000 You're going to have to go to California or somewhere else.
00:32:52.000 We've spoken on those issues through the legislature and we intend to back the legislature up on that because the vast majority of this country know what's right and want to support what's right.
00:33:02.000 I see the cross of Jesus Christ there.
00:33:04.000 My final question, where were you when Trump got shot and do you believe that this was the most witnessed televised miracle in human history?
00:33:13.000 I do, in a way I certainly do.
00:33:15.000 I was at home relaxing with friends, was taking a little nap, woke up and saw that the president had been shot.
00:33:22.000 At first I thought maybe it was a joke, maybe it wasn't real, but it turns out that it was.
00:33:27.000 And I tell you what, the moment he stood up and he raised his fist and said, fight, almost with tears in his eyes, that was a galvanizing moment for this nation.
00:33:39.000 Galvanizing moment for this nation.
00:33:40.000 Galvanizing moment.
00:33:41.000 That's right.
00:33:42.000 That's right.
00:33:42.000 I call him the braveheart of our times.
00:33:44.000 William Wallace.
00:33:45.000 That's right.
00:33:46.000 The courage that he is displaying is a courage that we all need.
00:33:48.000 And we hope it ends better for Trump than William Wallace, for the record.
00:33:51.000 Absolutely.
00:33:51.000 Yes.
00:33:51.000 So, Mark Robinson, you're a great American.
00:33:54.000 Thank you.
00:33:54.000 Give it up for Mark Robinson, everybody.
00:33:55.000 Great American.
00:33:56.000 Thank you.
00:34:01.000 Hey everybody, Charlie Kirk here.
00:34:02.000 What an unbelievable start to 2024.
00:34:04.000 We had last month saving babies with preborn by providing ultrasounds.
00:34:08.000 And we're doing again this year what we did last year.
00:34:10.000 We're going to stand for life because remaining silent in the face of the most radically pro-death administration is not an option.
00:34:15.000 As Sir Edmund Burke said, the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing, and we're not going to do nothing.
00:34:21.000 Your gift to preborn will give a girl the truth about what's happening in her body so that she can make the right choice.
00:34:28.000 $280 can save 10 babies.
00:34:30.000 $28 a month can save a baby a month all year long.
00:34:33.000 And a $15,000 gift will provide a complete ultrasound machine that will save thousands of babies for years and years to come.
00:34:39.000 And we'll also save moms from a lifetime of pain and regret.
00:34:43.000 Call 833-850-2229.
00:34:45.000 That's 833-850-2229.

00:34:51.000 That is charliekirk.com and click on the pre-born banner.
00:34:54.000 Also save moms from a lifetime of pain and regret.
00:34:56.000 I'm a donor to this organization.
00:34:57.000 They're terrific.
00:34:58.000 Go to charliekirk.com, click on the pre-born banner.
00:35:03.000 Alright, Ben, you are the expert.

00:35:34.000 Sarah Perry from Gainesville, Virginia.
00:35:37.000 Allie Rose from Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
00:35:40.000 There it is, Arkansas.
00:35:41.000 My home state now.
00:35:42.000 Patti Sukulich from Hartford, Wisconsin.
00:35:45.000 Marie Graziano from Richfield, Wisconsin.
00:35:47.000 Hey, we got him.
00:35:48.000 This is America, Charlie.
00:35:50.000 America is in the house.
00:35:51.000 Who's mega?
00:35:54.000 Hey, one more.
00:35:55.000 Charlie, Charlie, Charlie, one more.
00:35:57.000 We got Hawaii in the house back here.
00:36:00.000 What island?
00:36:02.000 I love it.
00:36:02.000 I love it.
00:36:03.000 Okay, Ben, who do we have here?
00:36:05.000 All right, we got a young man over here.
00:36:06.000 Tell me your name and you're South Carolina?
00:36:08.000 I'm Ari Collins from Columbia, South Carolina.
00:36:10.000 And you, you're joining, what are you doing?
00:36:12.000 You're starting a chapter, Turning Point?
00:36:14.000 Texas Tech.
00:36:14.000 Yes, sir.
00:36:15.000 I love that, man.
00:36:16.000 What got you into this?
00:36:17.000 I love, I'm a conservative.
00:36:19.000 I'm a strong Republican.
00:36:21.000 I love Turning Point.
00:36:23.000 That's what brought me here.
00:36:24.000 Now the mainstream media would say everybody that supports Charlie Kirk and Turning Point and MAGA are racists.
00:36:30.000 Are you a racist, young man?
00:36:31.000 I'm not a racist at all.
00:36:32.000 I'm not a racist at all.
00:36:35.000 Charlie is a great man.
00:36:36.000 He stands for conservative values.
00:36:38.000 He stands for us.
00:36:40.000 That's it, baby.
00:36:40.000 I love it.
00:36:41.000 God bless you.
00:36:42.000 Absolutely.
00:36:42.000 Thank you.
00:36:43.000 God bless you.
00:36:43.000 One more time in your name.
00:36:44.000 Amari Collins.
00:36:45.000 All right.
00:36:45.000 I love that.
00:36:46.000 And we got this.
00:36:46.000 Charlie, I want to come over here, too.
00:36:47.000 Kenosha, you got a volunteer.
00:36:49.000 Now, we're staying in Kenosha.
00:36:50.000 Don't tell anybody that.
00:36:51.000 And I went in there thinking, oh, man, what the heck?
00:36:53.000 This place burned down.
00:36:54.000 So not everybody in Kenosha are radical leftists that want to burn down our country, huh?
00:36:59.000 Oh, no.
00:36:59.000 Kenosha turned red last year.
00:37:01.000 That's right.
00:37:02.000 And we're going to go even redder this year.
00:37:04.000 Yup, we're going to be redder.
00:37:05.000 Kenosha Racing, we're going to be redder.
00:37:07.000 Now, I do want to add this.
00:37:09.000 Under Trump, we have a safe border.
00:37:11.000 No new wars.
00:37:13.000 Lower taxes.
00:37:14.000 Come on, what are we talking about?
00:37:15.000 What else?
00:37:15.000 We're not going to vote for anything else.
00:37:17.000 Why would I want higher taxes, open borders, and more wars?
00:37:21.000 Who wants that?
00:37:22.000 Does anybody want that?
00:37:24.000 No!
00:37:25.000 I love that.
00:37:25.000 Nobody wants that, so it's a no-brainer.
00:37:27.000 Vote for Trump.
00:37:28.000 He took a bullet for us, so the least that we can do is vote for him.
00:37:32.000 I love that, man.
00:37:33.000 Tell me your name again.
00:37:34.000 Frankie Russell, and I'm from Kenosha, Wisconsin.
00:37:36.000 Does everyone agree that that was the hand of God on Donald Trump?
00:37:41.000 Man, no question.
00:37:42.000 Charlie, every time I watch it, it gives me chills.
00:37:46.000 All right, let's get the Hawaii up here.
00:37:48.000 You guys travel all over.
00:37:48.000 Come on, guys.
00:37:51.000 Tell us your names and what brought you out here.
00:37:53.000 Aloha, everybody.
00:37:54.000 Nolan Chang, Sherry Chang.
00:37:58.000 I have a shout-out for Charlie.
00:37:59.000 I'm the National Committee man from Hawaii.
00:38:01.000 Yes, I've seen you on War Room.
00:38:03.000 And TP Action endorsed me when I ran for that position, so I want to thank TP Action for everything they've done for not only my state, but for getting me into that position.
00:38:11.000 We have your back.
00:38:12.000 What island do you live on?
00:38:13.000 Oahu.
00:38:14.000 Love it.
00:38:15.000 I love Hawaii, and I would love to do an event there sometime soon with you guys.
00:38:20.000 Anytime, my friend.
00:38:21.000 Anytime.
00:38:22.000 Hey, count me in for that one.
00:38:24.000 I'll do the crowd stuff, Charlie.
00:38:25.000 Only if Ben encompanies us.
00:38:27.000 Hawaii is a gift to America, it truly is.
00:38:30.000 Amen, amen.
00:38:31.000 Yes, one more, yes.
00:38:32.000 Hang on, hang on, where's my, get over here, get over here.
00:38:35.000 Alright, geez, I've been seeing you all over the place, amazing volunteers here.
00:38:39.000 What's your name?
00:38:40.000 Amy.
00:38:40.000 Amy, and why does this matter so much to you?
00:38:43.000 Oh my gosh, we need to bring America back to where it's supposed to be back when I was growing up and make it great again, safe again.
00:38:53.000 Amen, amen, amen.
00:38:54.000 Charlie, we got the best people in the house over here.
00:38:56.000 We got a great crew here.
00:38:58.000 God bless you guys.
00:38:59.000 All right, now joining us is Congressman Troy Nels.
00:39:01.000 Congressman, how we doing?
00:39:02.000 Great state of Texas, by the way.
00:39:03.000 Yes, that's right.
00:39:04.000 Great state of Texas.
00:39:04.000 All right, so you are an oversight pit bull.
00:39:08.000 I am.
00:39:09.000 What is going on with the Secret Service right now?
00:39:11.000 Well, we've got some serious issues.
00:39:13.000 I tell you, I just read the report this morning that on Monday, we will have her into the Oversight Committee asking all sorts of questions.
00:39:20.000 I tell you, there's a lot of information out there, and it just doesn't look very good.
00:39:25.000 It doesn't look very good.
00:39:26.000 I mean, that individual, that crook, was out there.
00:39:28.000 We knew about it for an hour prior.
00:39:30.000 They have video him.
00:39:32.000 There needs to be a very deep dive into this.
00:39:35.000 Do you have confidence that the FBI will be able to do that?
00:39:37.000 Absolutely not.
00:39:39.000 So what, are you calling on a special committee?
00:39:41.000 What is your ask of Speaker Johnson right now?
00:39:43.000 I think Speaker Johnson said that we need to have a special task force look into this incident, because obviously it was an assassination attempt on the greatest president in my lifetime.
00:39:54.000 Because if you let the FBI do this, if you let the Secret Service do this, I don't think you'll get any true, real information until after November 5th, and then it's too late.
00:40:04.000 So, Congressman, I'm going to keep you just for a couple more minutes here, but we cannot allow the very same intel agencies that have lied to us and manipulated us to do this investigation.
00:40:15.000 We cannot allow that to happen.
00:40:17.000 And the Secret Service allowed our president to get shot, to be shot.
00:40:22.000 What is going to be your role specifically with the Secret Service director in the next couple weeks?
00:40:27.000 I think it's getting to the truth and I don't think they really want to see the truth come out so I think it is imperative that we in the House, we have the majority, we control these committees, that we get the truth and we get it from them as quickly as possible because I think the American people have a right to know.
00:40:41.000 They have a right to know, they have a right to hear truth because you don't ever hear it from this administration and we all know that Merrick Garland, Christopher Wray, they have protected this administration.
00:40:52.000 We need to get to the truth because it's the right thing to do and the American people deserve it.
00:40:56.000 How can people support you and get behind all the important stuff you're doing?
00:40:59.000 Well, you can reach out to me at RepPatTroyNails, but I tell you what, Charlie, I'm gonna order 20 of those shirts.
00:41:04.000 I'm gonna order 20 of them.
00:41:05.000 I told the boss last night, I was up in the booth last night, I told the boss, I said, we have to win Wisconsin.
00:41:10.000 That's where I'm from.
00:41:11.000 Yes.
00:41:11.000 We gotta win Wisconsin, and we can do it.
00:41:13.000 Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, he's 47th president.
00:41:16.000 Thank you.
00:41:16.000 You're the man.
00:41:17.000 God bless you, Congressman.
00:41:18.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
00:41:19.000 Email us, as always, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:41:21.000 Thanks so much for listening, and God bless.
