00:01:22.000 What a week.
00:01:25.000 Praise be to God.
00:01:26.000 Glory be to God for what just happened.
00:01:28.000 This has not even been a week since Donald Trump got shot.
00:01:32.000 I want to welcome right now Josh Hammer, senior editor-at-large of Newsweek and host of the Josh Hammer Show.
00:01:37.000 Josh, welcome to the program.
00:01:38.000 Josh, I know you were very busy with all of your duties at Newsweek and your program.
00:01:43.000 I actually wanted to have some people on the show that were not in the midst of the chaos and all of the bedlam of how this presented to the American people because, you know, you can kind of get a little high on your own supply when you got the music flowing, you got thousands of people screaming and we're excited.
00:01:58.000 How did this present this convention as someone who had some distance viewing it as tens of millions of Americans did?
00:02:05.000 Josh Hammer.
00:02:06.000 Yeah, Charlie, look, would have loved to have been there.
00:02:08.000 I was in D.C.
00:02:08.000 for a couple of conferences last week.
00:02:10.000 Then I had to go back to Florida where I live.
00:02:12.000 I'm actually now in Utah for a third conference.
00:02:14.000 So it's just been kind of a crazy stretch.
00:02:15.000 Couldn't actually make it to Milwaukee.
00:02:18.000 First of all, Charlie, you gave a great speech yourself earlier this week.
00:02:20.000 So congratulations to you.
00:02:21.000 I thought that was fantastic.
00:02:22.000 So great work there.
00:02:24.000 Charlie, look, I don't carry any water for the Republican Party.
00:02:28.000 I've been severely critical at times of my own party over the years, since I registered the day I turned 18 years old.
00:02:35.000 This was probably the most capital R Republican that I have felt since I was in 7th grade, 12 years old, after 9-11, watching George W. Bush with the bullhorn there in 9-11, in the rubble with Rudy Giuliani and all that.
00:02:49.000 It almost feels like a quasi-messianic moment, honestly.
00:02:53.000 Like in the aftermath of the assassination attempt, this remarkable display of unity.
00:02:58.000 Trump coming up there on Monday with the bandage on the ear.
00:03:01.000 I mean, was there a dry eye on the House?
00:03:03.000 I mean, and then last night, Last night, that speech, the first 10 to 15 minutes of that speech, 20 minutes maybe, going over to the uniform of the fireman, may his memory be a blessing.
00:03:15.000 I mean, my God.
00:03:16.000 I mean, that was gripping television, the likes of which I have not seen in years.
00:03:20.000 So kudos to the RNC, kudos to the Republican National Committee.
00:03:24.000 As I said, I don't carry any water for the party as a whole, but they went above and beyond this week.
00:03:28.000 I thought it was fantastic television.
00:03:30.000 I can only imagine what it was like in person.
00:03:32.000 Oh yeah, no, and it's interesting.
00:03:34.000 I flew back early yesterday.
00:03:36.000 I had to be with the family.
00:03:37.000 I was there all week prepping for my speech.
00:03:38.000 It was a lot.
00:03:39.000 We have two kids under two and a newborn.
00:03:41.000 And so I watched Trump's speech remotely, and I actually thought it was better on television than even in the room.
00:03:49.000 And let me, because the intent of the RNC is to make a for television production.
00:03:55.000 They're not there just to make a live event for, you know, delegates on the floor.
00:03:59.000 And it's very important to understand that the presentation of this RNC was unlike any I've ever seen.
00:04:07.000 And it was notable who didn't speak, Josh Hammer, who didn't speak.
00:04:11.000 Lindsey Graham attended, but he did not speak.
00:04:14.000 Mitch McConnell attended, but he did not speak.
00:04:17.000 We also had nothing from Mitt Romney or from Cheney or from that whole Bush junta.
00:04:24.000 And some people say, well, how is that very unifying?
00:04:27.000 Well, it is unifying under this new Republican party.
00:04:30.000 The new Republican party is one that is much broader than just a think tank DC Beltway party.
00:04:38.000 Can you talk from a philosophical approach, Josh?
00:04:41.000 What you gleaned from this new Republican party, do you consider it to be a positive?
00:04:47.000 You know, Charlie, the last dying breath of the old Republican Party was earlier in the day this past Monday, when there were still rumors being floated that Donald Trump might go in a certain direction with his vice presidential pick.
00:05:01.000 But the moment that we all saw the Truth Social post and the media started widely reporting that he had selected J.D.
00:05:06.000 Vance to be his running mate, that was the exact moment that the old, shattered, dead consensus of the old Republican Party and the old conservative elite died.
00:05:17.000 And to your question, I consider that to not just be a good thing, I consider it to be a fantastic, amazing, a necessary and an indispensable development.
00:05:26.000 The Republican Party, Charlie, in my adult lifetime, has literally won the popular vote, I think in precisely one presidential election back in 2004 was the time that they actually won an outright majority of the popular vote.
00:05:39.000 I mean, this is a coalition that has been scrambling to try to figure out what it stands for ever since the fall of the Berlin Wall the year I was born in 1989.
00:05:48.000 And to have people like J.D.
00:05:49.000 Vance up there to give a decisively pro-American heartland, pro-industrial policy, pro-manufacturing, pro-American worker speech, this is a party that understands the failures of the people that you just named, the failures of people like Lindsey Graham, the failure of moralistic interventionism all around the world to spread Neoconservative ideology to third world Islamist backwaters in places like Iraq and Afghanistan, the failures of free trade absolutism when it comes at the expense of tearing up jobs in the American heartland.
00:06:19.000 This is a political party, Charlie, that increasingly just gets it.
00:06:23.000 And I am just so excited.
00:06:25.000 I mean, the fact that J.D.
00:06:26.000 Vance is on the ticket is just unbelievable to me.
00:06:29.000 I mean, the guy is 39 years old.
00:06:30.000 I've known him for years, consider him a friend.
00:06:32.000 It feels kind of surreal, to be honest with you, sitting here and talking to you about the man who is likely to be the next vice president of the United States and the heir successor to the MAGA throne, it seems.
00:06:41.000 This party is in a fantastic place right now.
00:06:44.000 The unity on display this week, by the way, the speeches by DeSandis, even Nikki Haley enthusiastically endorsing.
00:06:50.000 You know, look, everything is going according to plan right now.
00:06:54.000 I mean, it almost seems too good to be true, frankly.
00:06:57.000 And when things are going that way, maybe we should just enjoy it.
00:07:00.000 Because we have not had a week this good in eight years.
00:07:02.000 I have not had a week this, where I feel this positive.
00:07:06.000 And I'm not saying we're going to win.
00:07:07.000 I still give us a 50-50 chance.
00:07:09.000 I just mean positive about where we're at philosophically, where the party is, that our candidate is alive and breathing.
00:07:16.000 I have not felt this way for eight years.
00:07:19.000 You think about it, eight years since we won in 2016.
00:07:22.000 I want everyone to think about it.
00:07:24.000 Even in 2017, the inauguration took days before that they had resignations and spying on Trump and Michael Flynn.
00:07:30.000 It's just the presidency got off to a very rough start.
00:07:32.000 We all know that.
00:07:33.000 The 2018 midterms were fine.
00:07:35.000 They weren't great.
00:07:36.000 2020 was not great.
00:07:38.000 2022 was not great, you know, at all.
00:07:42.000 And so it's just, we've kind of been let on and let on waiting for that time where we feel that our worldview is ascendant.
00:07:49.000 And it just so happened that the forces to be all combined here.
00:07:54.000 Now, Josh, some people are saying, but Republicans might be peaking too early.
00:07:58.000 I want to list off a couple of things.
00:08:00.000 First of all, it's better to peak than never peak.
00:08:03.000 That is a rule of politics.
00:08:04.000 Let me say that again.
00:08:05.000 You don't always get a chance to peak.
00:08:07.000 And sometimes you peak and you plateau and that's okay.
00:08:10.000 And even if you peak and go down three or four points, you're still way up from where you were.
00:08:15.000 So let's first, let me just go through some numbers here, Josh.
00:08:18.000 North Carolina starts voting in 49 days.
00:08:21.000 Pennsylvania starts voting in 59 days.
00:08:24.000 Wisconsin starts voting in 67 days.
00:08:27.000 And Arizona starts voting in 80 days.
00:08:31.000 Josh Hammer.
00:08:32.000 Yeah, look, I mean, I don't think the party is peaking too early.
00:08:35.000 I mean, it's mid-July of an election year.
00:08:37.000 I mean, Charlie, let's just, like, step back for a second here and compare where the Republican Party is at this precise moment that you and I are talking versus the Democratic Party.
00:08:45.000 The Republican Party just had its best week, probably, in my entire adult lifetime, at least since the 2016 election.
00:08:52.000 The unity on display there in Milwaukee is incredible.
00:08:55.000 They have a forward-looking, innovative vice presidential candidate.
00:08:58.000 The platform is remarkable.
00:09:00.000 Pro-worker, pro-American heartland platform.
00:09:02.000 I am deeply inspired.
00:09:03.000 Compare that to the situation with the Democratic Party.
00:09:06.000 Charlie, you and I have no idea, no one knows whether or not Joe Biden's going to be the Democratic nominee come Monday morning.
00:09:12.000 I mean, are they going to be able to pull off this palace coup, this coup d'etat?
00:09:16.000 The unity versus disunity, that juxtaposition is the starkest that it has ever been in my adult lifetime.
00:09:22.000 As I said, I can be very critical of my own party at times, but after this week, Charlie, I am honestly the proudest to be a Capitol Law Republican than I have been probably in my entire adult lifetime, at least since September 11, 2001.
00:09:34.000 I love what you said.
00:09:35.000 If this is what it means to be a Republican, I'm a Republican.
00:09:38.000 And I say this, by the way, obviously as a very conservative person, but as a registered independent in the state of Arizona, because I had never felt that the Republican Party spoke for me.
00:09:47.000 But if this is what the Republican Party is, I'm going to change my registration officially to Republican, just as a show of force and a statement, because I never felt comfortable with the Bush, Cheney, Romney party registering as a Republican.
00:10:01.000 Hey everybody, Charlie Kirk here.
00:10:03.000 Thanks to the team at Hillsdale College, you can now watch an inspiring portrayal of Thomas Jefferson as he reflects on the meaning of the Declaration of Independence in a letter he wrote late in his life.
00:10:13.000 Watch this special short video at charlie4hillsdale.com.
00:10:17.000 Since its founding in 1844, Hillsdale has remained true to its mission of offering the kind of education needed to preserve the blessings of liberty, the blessings that can be traced to the principles of the Declaration signed on July 4th.
00:10:31.000 At a time where the far left rejects the principles of liberty and equality, we must remind ourselves, our children, and our fellow citizens that those principles are the source of America's greatness and a treasure to be preserved.
00:10:42.000 I invite you today to visit charlie4hillsdale.com to watch Hillsdale's educational and inspiring
00:10:47.000 video and you'll receive a free commemorative copy of the Declaration of Independence from
00:10:53.000 my friends at Hillsdale. But don't delay, this is a limited time offer. Go to charlie4hillsdale.com
00:10:58.000 as we forever and always celebrate Independence Day. charlie4hillsdale.com.
00:11:05.000 Okay I want to get to this poll here and get Josh's reaction. Josh this is from CBS.
00:11:13.000 J.D.
00:11:13.000 Vance as VP pick, Republican registered voters, 51% Josh, are enthusiastic.
00:11:20.000 43% satisfied, only 6% dissatisfied.
00:11:23.000 Josh, that is an incredible consensus for a vice presidential selection.
00:11:28.000 Please, Josh, look at that poll and what is your reaction?
00:11:31.000 Yeah, I hadn't seen that poll.
00:11:32.000 I mean, that's remarkable, honestly.
00:11:34.000 I mean, you know, prior to the vice presidential selection, Charlie, you had a lot of kind of the old dead consensus Republican Chamber of Commerce types really fear mongering with the possibility of a J.D.
00:11:44.000 Vance.
00:11:45.000 They were like, oh, my God, he's too young.
00:11:47.000 He's too inexperienced.
00:11:48.000 Oh, he has a scary worldview.
00:11:49.000 Oh, my God, maybe he's an authoritarian.
00:11:51.000 He's a threat to the Constitution.
00:11:53.000 This, he's that.
00:11:55.000 Look, if you don't realize that people like J.D.
00:11:58.000 Vance are the future of the Republican Party, then I don't think you understand what is happening currently on the American right.
00:12:05.000 And not just currently.
00:12:06.000 You don't understand what has been happening for the past eight years.
00:12:09.000 I mean, Charlie, there are some people, I think, who have been in one long extended daze going on literally eight years now.
00:12:16.000 Where they think that someday someone's just going to snap their fingers.
00:12:20.000 The next morning, Trump's going to disappear and the old party of Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham, John McCain, they're all going to come just, you know, riding back on horseback to reclaim their rightful position at the top of the Republican Party hierarchy.
00:12:33.000 And look, the J.D.
00:12:34.000 Banzpig makes very clear it's not happening.
00:12:37.000 It's not happening.
00:12:38.000 This party, this movement, this national conservative, national populist, America First movement is here to stay.
00:12:45.000 And that is an emphatically good thing.
00:12:47.000 And apparently the voters are receptive to it.
00:12:49.000 This is really a remarkable poll that you're just showing me.
00:12:52.000 I really hadn't seen it prior.
00:12:53.000 Now, J.D.
00:12:54.000 Vance, again, he's 39 years old.
00:12:56.000 He's in his first Senate term.
00:12:57.000 I suspect a lot of people still don't know him, right?
00:13:00.000 I mean, he's somewhat of a household name because of the book he wrote, the memoir, the movie, the this, the that.
00:13:05.000 But he's going to have a tremendous opportunity now over the next two, two and a half months or so to get out there on the campaign trail and to really introduce himself, the likes of which he did at the convention in his keynote speech on Wednesday evening.
00:13:18.000 And fortunately for J.D., he's a fantastic communicator, he's an excellent orator, and he has an amazing, amazing story to tell.
00:13:24.000 So I have very little doubts as to how great he's going to be on the campaign trail.
00:13:30.000 And I just look forward to January 2025 when, God willing, you know, Trump and J.D.
00:13:35.000 Vance are running this country, and I guess running the Western world for that matter.
00:13:39.000 And I just cannot wait to see, Charlie, what they do together in office.
00:13:42.000 I loved what Donald Trump said.
00:13:43.000 He said, I can end a war with a phone call.
00:13:46.000 Boom.
00:13:47.000 That was such a powerful line.
00:13:50.000 I can end a war with a phone call.
00:13:54.000 Josh, last thought here, Joe Biden and the Democrats, what is your analysis of what is going on there?
00:14:00.000 It is complete chaos.
00:14:01.000 Your thought, Josh Hammer.
00:14:03.000 You know, Charlie, I have been outspoken for over a year now that Joe Biden is not going anywhere.
00:14:08.000 I have said repeatedly he's not going anywhere.
00:14:10.000 This is a guy who's wanted to be president since quite literally before I was born.
00:14:13.000 He first ran for president in 1988.
00:14:15.000 You know, good luck getting him and his Lady Macbeth wife, so-called Dr. Jill, to actually give up the reins of power now that they have it.
00:14:23.000 I will be honest with you, I'm starting to wobble over the past 48 hours or so.
00:14:26.000 I mean, it really seems like at this point, it is Joe Biden versus the entire Democrat media complex.
00:14:33.000 I mean, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, New York Times, CNN, you name it.
00:14:37.000 I mean, they are all in.
00:14:39.000 Now, having said that, their virtual roll call vote is coming up real soon.
00:14:43.000 It's on August 1st.
00:14:44.000 I think if Joe Biden can survive this weekend, both literally and proverbially, frankly, if he can survive this weekend, then he's probably going to be the nominee.
00:14:52.000 But I actually would not be surprised if he does bail out of the race on Sunday.
00:14:56.000 But push comes to shove, Charlie.
00:14:58.000 I'm sticking with my gut.
00:14:59.000 I've been saying this for over a year.
00:15:00.000 I think that Joe Biden stays as the nominee.
00:15:02.000 But the final point, just to reiterate, you and I already discussed this.
00:15:05.000 Just compare and contrast that with the unity on the Republican side.
00:15:09.000 It is the starkest juxtaposition I have ever seen in American politics in my lifetime.
00:15:14.000 Josh Hammer, wonderful analysis.
00:15:15.000 Come back anytime and check out your piece in Newsweek about J.D.
00:15:19.000 Vance.
00:15:19.000 It's terrific.
00:15:20.000 The chosen one.
00:15:21.000 Thank you so much.
00:15:22.000 You bet.
00:15:23.000 Thanks for having me.
00:15:24.000 Email us freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:15:26.000 I want to encourage you guys to become a member, members.charliekirk.com.
00:15:29.000 Also breaking news today, Trump to hold call with Zelensky.
00:15:33.000 Is Donald Trump going to end the Russian-Ukrainian war before he's president?
00:15:37.000 Donald Trump is basically acting like president, the president.
00:15:40.000 And he should, by the way, because we don't have a president right now.
00:15:42.000 We have an administrative state.
00:15:44.000 And let's be very clear that Donald Trump got RFK secret service protection.
00:15:50.000 Donald Trump very well might end the Ukrainian war while he's a candidate.
00:15:53.000 The forces to be are understanding that our movement is ascendant, but that's not enough.
00:15:58.000 How many new voters have you guys found this week?

00:17:31.000 MyPhDWeightLoss.com.
00:17:36.000 Joining us now is Kurt Schlichter, senior columnist at townhall.com and author of The Attack.
00:17:41.000 Kurt, I've been dying to get your thoughts and your opinion of this RNC convention.
00:17:46.000 We've been told our entire life, Kurt, that the Democrat Party is the party of Hollywood.
00:17:52.000 The Republican Party, I think, has finally outdone the Democrat Party when it comes to the visual arts.
00:17:57.000 Kurt Schlichter, let it rip.
00:17:59.000 Yeah, I thought it was sensational.
00:18:01.000 And I feel like an idiot because, you know, So people were like, hey, Kurt, you want to come?
00:18:07.000 Here's some credentials and stuff.
00:18:09.000 I was like, nah, it's gonna be boring.
00:18:12.000 Yeah, great.
00:18:14.000 Good choice, Kurt.
00:18:16.000 Next, everybody, take my sock pics.
00:18:19.000 No, it looked amazing.
00:18:21.000 I thought, I could feel the energy just watching it.
00:18:27.000 I could, this was not, you know, we kept hearing about how this was dark and scary.
00:18:33.000 Dread-filled Republican Party.
00:18:35.000 Where the heck was that?
00:18:36.000 Didn't the party where our guy got shot, where one of our own got murdered a couple days ago?
00:18:42.000 And we were still optimistic, excited.
00:18:46.000 I mean, obviously, Donald Trump paid an incredible tribute to the murdered patriot last night, and I think that was fully appropriate.
00:18:58.000 But Cory Campatori was a Donald Trump went for a long, long speech, but you know what?
00:19:08.000 And I just thought they really hit it out of the park.
00:19:12.000 Now, I mean, look, Donald Trump went for a long, long speech,
00:19:16.000 but you know what?
00:19:17.000 As much as the liberal media hated it, and just, you know,
00:19:25.000 saw, oh, wow, the campaign's turned, David Axelrod's out there saying,
00:19:28.000 well, wow, this is the best thing that's happened to the Democrats in weeks.
00:19:33.000 Well, I'm not quite sure about that.
00:19:39.000 Most normal people saw the first part of the speech, the very moving discussion of the attempt to murder Donald Trump and the actual murder of one of our own people.
00:19:50.000 And I think they would have been greatly moved, and I think that Donald Trump went along with the energy in the crowd.
00:19:57.000 It was much more of a rally speech than a traditional convention speech, but it got people fired up.
00:20:04.000 Look, I thought they did an incredibly good job, and I'm always happy to criticize the RNC, as you well know.
00:20:12.000 Well, me too, Kurt.
00:20:13.000 I mean, let's just, let's just make sure we're, I mean, I, seven months ago, if you would tell me I would be praising the RNC.
00:20:23.000 I mean, that's, I was, I was in the, I was, I was hosting a counter RNC event in Las Vegas trying to change the leadership.
00:20:30.000 And so, you know, I see that Rana's no longer there.
00:20:32.000 And Erica, my wife made a great point.
00:20:34.000 She said, you know why that convention was so good?
00:20:36.000 I said, why?
00:20:36.000 She said, because Rana's not there anymore.
00:20:38.000 I said, okay, you know, it might be the case.
00:20:40.000 But Kurt, I think there's some truth to that.
00:20:43.000 Yeah, it's a fantastic job.
00:20:44.000 Michael Whatley, Laura Trump seem to be doing everything right.
00:20:50.000 You know, I'd be interested in seeing more about how they're doing the actual groundwork for the election.
00:20:58.000 But you know, if they're putting as much effort into that as they are into this convention, which was fantastic, and completely flummoxed the left, I'm going to be very happy.
00:21:08.000 Now, you know what?
00:21:09.000 You were lucky enough to be there.
00:21:11.000 I had to watch it at home.
00:21:12.000 And for various reasons, I had to watch PBS instead of a, you know, a real network.
00:21:19.000 And I thought they were going to start crying half the time.
00:21:23.000 I mean, I've never seen people so disappointed that other people were happy and having a good time and being positive in my life.
00:21:32.000 And of course they were doing little, you know, chicken scratch things like refusing to show Tucker Carlson's speech, which I know knocked everybody's socks off.
00:21:47.000 They were in mourning.
00:21:48.000 They should have been wearing black at how well the RNC went.
00:21:54.000 Charlie, it was a demonstration of competence.
00:21:57.000 And Kurt, if this is what it means to be a Republican, I am now a Republican.
00:22:01.000 And I want to play just some of the highlights here because there were so many highlights.
00:22:07.000 And you know what also is notable, Kurt?
00:22:09.000 I originally joined.
00:22:10.000 And Kurt, if this is what it means to be Republican, I am now a Republican.
00:22:15.000 And I want to play just some of the highlights here, because
00:22:19.000 there were so many highlights.
00:22:20.000 And you know what also is notable, Kurt, can you name a single
00:22:24.000 media covered gaffe, mistake?
00:22:29.000 Issue.
00:22:29.000 Not a single one.
00:22:30.000 Usually at these conventions, you know, some speaker might go off script or do something goofy.
00:22:35.000 It was flawless from an execution standpoint.
00:22:39.000 And Kurt, that's a big deal.
00:22:40.000 It is.
00:22:43.000 It is.
00:22:43.000 They don't have anything to pick apart.
00:22:46.000 And you know what?
00:22:47.000 Donald Trump went one hour, 31 minutes, 55 seconds, if I remember correctly.
00:22:54.000 That's a long time.
00:22:55.000 And it was, uh, you know, it was after four o'clock in the afternoon.
00:22:59.000 I think he got up there not only to connect with his audience and to let them know that, you know, I, they may have tried to murder me, but, uh, I'm, I'm still there for you.
00:23:11.000 Uh, but what a contrast between him and that desiccated old, uh, zombie who, uh, uh, just, just freaking announced a few minutes ago, next week he hits the campaign
00:23:25.000 trail and I'm all for it.
00:23:27.000 Run Joe, run until four o'clock and then they wrap you in a shawl, put you in a rocker,
00:23:33.000 put you in front of Matlock, give you some money.
00:23:36.000 So Kurt, I now want to shift to the Democrats, which we had a great week.
00:23:40.000 We are full of unity and we are full of, you know, just more agreement than ever before.
00:23:46.000 And yet, here we are, the Democrat Party is in the midst of a Bolshevik versus a Menshevik civil war.
00:23:54.000 In fact, it's so bad that our sources are saying, and they're very good sources, because
00:24:01.000 people say, oh, Charlie, how do you have sources in the Democrat Party?
00:24:03.000 First of all, I talk to a lot of people.
00:24:05.000 Secondly, we have some very wealthy donors who used to be Democrats, and they chat to
00:24:09.000 a lot of people.
00:24:10.000 There's been a lot of very wealthy former Democrats that are now conservatives that
00:24:15.000 still have friendships there, and people are talking.
00:24:18.000 I'll tell you right now, they say loose lips sink ships.
00:24:21.000 This is the easiest time to get data and information.
00:24:24.000 They are leaking like you wouldn't believe.
00:24:26.000 Here is what we have been told.
00:24:27.000 We tweeted this last evening.
00:24:28.000 It's been seen by 4 million people on twitterx.com.
00:24:32.000 Let me read this.
00:24:33.000 While Donald Trump gives Republican Party the most unity since 9-11, a source who's spoken to Democrats in the last 24 hours says the party is in a state of utter collapse.
00:24:41.000 This is a direct quote, by the way, from well-sourced billionaire donors who used to be in Democrat circles.
00:24:46.000 Okay?
00:24:47.000 This is as good of a source as it gets.
00:24:49.000 Kamala isn't ready and her staff are not ready.
00:24:52.000 They're a bunch of amateurs.
00:24:53.000 They don't know if even Biden has her back.
00:24:55.000 He isn't communicating with her.
00:24:57.000 Democrat lawmakers are 100% sure that Biden is gone, yet haven't actually gotten Biden to submit.
00:25:03.000 They're just confident that increasingly ugly tactics will force him out.
00:25:07.000 The one word that Democrats keep on using is the verboten word on the Charlie Kirk Show, the landslide.
00:25:12.000 We don't say that word.
00:25:13.000 We don't think about that word.
00:25:14.000 I'm just quoting.
00:25:15.000 The entire party is oscillating between panic and doom.
00:25:19.000 Kurt Schlichter.
00:25:20.000 No, they've got huge problems.
00:25:22.000 First of all, Joe Biden was always a stupid, stupid man with an inferiority complex and imposter syndrome.
00:25:32.000 To drop out of the race.
00:25:34.000 I've always been convinced he's not going to drop out because to do so validates everyone who laughed at him and thought he was a clown.
00:25:41.000 That will be his legacy.
00:25:42.000 The guy who was too senile to govern.
00:25:45.000 I don't think that emotionally he's capable of doing that and people keep being surprised when he doesn't because he's a good person and put other people's interests above his own petty ego and of course that will never ever happen.
00:26:01.000 Uh, so I, I, I, I, I think it's hilarious that the Democrats think that they can bully this guy out.
00:26:08.000 He's just going to, um, uh, he's just going to keep, uh, going on and there's nothing they can really do.
00:26:15.000 And of course their alternative is Kamala.
00:26:17.000 She's a joke.
00:26:18.000 Everybody knows it.
00:26:19.000 Everybody's always known it.
00:26:21.000 She's Selina Meyer without the charisma or the intellect.
00:26:25.000 It's, uh, The change of fortune for these guys in the last four or five months.
00:26:35.000 I mean, they saw Trump was indicted.
00:26:37.000 He's going to get tried.
00:26:39.000 Everybody hates him.
00:26:41.000 We're just going to glide to victory.
00:26:43.000 And it's all turned to ashes in their hands.
00:26:45.000 And frankly, couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch.
00:26:49.000 Final thought here, Kurt, you are a man who loves history.
00:26:54.000 The moment Donald Trump got shot, I want a Kurt Schlichter riff on that one.
00:26:58.000 My gosh, iconic, legendary.
00:27:04.000 You know, people have been very, very, talked a lot about spirituality with it.
00:27:10.000 And I, you know, I can't tell them that they're wrong.
00:27:16.000 One millimeter, one centimeter, a puff of air blowing that bullet along its trajectory.
00:27:24.000 And our entire country could have changed.
00:27:26.000 And not for the better, Charlie.
00:27:27.000 For the much, much worse.
00:27:30.000 And then to be shot, and then to rise up, and to refuse to submit, and to look out at that crowd, and need to reassure them, and then to do that.
00:27:43.000 That is exactly what America needs.
00:27:45.000 That's the essence of America.
00:27:47.000 Every American, including Democrats.
00:27:50.000 Should be proud of Donald Trump because he showed what it's like.
00:27:53.000 And I got to tell you, overseas, the bad guys, our enemies, looked at that and they were afraid.
00:28:01.000 Amazing.
00:28:02.000 Kurt, well done.
00:28:04.000 Check out his book, The Attack.
00:28:05.000 Thank you so much.
00:28:06.000 Well done.
00:28:07.000 Thanks for having me.
00:28:08.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
00:28:09.000 Email us as always freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:28:12.000 Thanks so much for listening and God bless.
