00:01:56.000 Is the Beauty and the Beast public yet, David?
00:01:58.000 The Beauty and the Beast documentary is available on Instagram website.
00:02:03.000 It's in post-production.
00:02:05.000 Do you want me to talk about that for a minute, Charlie?
00:02:07.000 Yeah, please.
00:02:07.000 Yeah, I think it's fitting and because it, for a lot of different reasons.
00:02:12.000 Talk about that.
00:02:13.000 Yeah, well, I had a dream in January of 2017 on the morning of the Trump inauguration.
00:02:20.000 I didn't know it was the Trump inauguration.
00:02:22.000 I knew it was sometime that week.
00:02:24.000 But that night I had this dream and in the dream I stood in front of the nation and I sang this very famous song from Beauty and the Beast, Tale as old as time, bitter, sweet and strange, finding they can change, learning you were wrong.
00:02:37.000 And I woke up with this really strong sense knowing this is actually about Trump and America.
00:02:45.000 America the Beautiful versus the Beast which has been the caricature of Trump that this rich brash guy that lives in a castle who's rude and mean and then America the Beautiful and a transformation that happens in relationship and the incredible thing this is like so prophetic and profound is that at the end of the movie when the Beast dies or almost dies is really what happens.
00:03:10.000 He comes back and he's totally transformed and the kingdom is totally transformed.
00:03:15.000 And I think that's literally what we're seeing right now with the assassination
00:03:20.000 attempt on former President Trump is there's a transformation that's happening
00:03:25.000 in the nation.
00:03:26.000 There certainly seemed to be, to me, and I know you were there at the RNC Charlie, a transformation even in Trump.
00:03:32.000 It seemed like there was an increase of his grace, of his humility, of his statesmanship, and it's all of these things that I had seen in this dream that God had given me in January of 2017.
00:03:42.000 So we have We have a documentary about that coming out this September, just two months before the election, because we're trying to encourage Christians to help them understand God cares about the affairs of men and presidents and kings and kingdoms.
00:04:01.000 And we're not just going to say, oh, you know, it looks looking good for us.
00:04:04.000 We'll just hope people vote in our direction.
00:04:07.000 And I don't think people know, Charlie, and I know you do, that Kamala Harris, was appointed as the Attorney General for the state of California.
00:04:15.000 They passed Proposition 8 that said, hey, you guys, we're passing this law, Proposition 8, that says men and women get married.
00:04:24.000 That's the law we want to pass.
00:04:25.000 We want to run our state like this.
00:04:27.000 And she refused to do the will of the people for two and a half years, fought against Proposition 8, and refused to defend a state law.
00:04:37.000 So all of this stuff is implicated by biblical morality.
00:04:41.000 All of this stuff is implicated by God's blessing upon our nation when we walk in righteousness or when we choose to say, nah, we don't want to do your way, God.
00:04:49.000 We're going to reject your way and we'll do it our own way.
00:04:52.000 And we're going to, you know, we don't need your blessing.
00:04:54.000 We don't need your hand.
00:04:55.000 And then you see what happens, which is chaos and crime and inflation and joblessness and groceries being out of reach for normal people to be able to purchase.
00:05:05.000 That is all correlated to the blessing of God on a nation.
00:05:09.000 Yeah, and so David, let's dive deeper into that.
00:05:11.000 How do you then reconcile where some people say, was God really intervening in the bullet not hitting Donald Trump?
00:05:20.000 Because, you know, someone still died.
00:05:21.000 I mean, how do we explain that theologically?
00:05:25.000 Well, I think you're right, Charlie.
00:05:26.000 It's complex.
00:05:27.000 I mean, your question's right.
00:05:28.000 It's complex.
00:05:29.000 The world is complex.
00:05:30.000 There's brokenness and sin and disaster and dragons and chaos and pain and frustration in the world.
00:05:37.000 But in some paradoxical way, there's also beauty and promise and hope and future and the will of God.
00:05:46.000 Over the top of this whole kind of thing, directing the affairs of men, it's really clear in the scriptures.
00:05:52.000 Daniel chapter 2 in verse 21, it says, God raises up kings and He disposes of them.
00:05:58.000 That word, disposes, means He makes them, that's the Hebrew word, Adar, which means He makes them pass away.
00:06:05.000 And so it's like it's more than just he removes them.
00:06:09.000 He'll remove their very memory.
00:06:10.000 He'll make them like chaff in the wind.
00:06:13.000 So God raises kings and disposes them.
00:06:16.000 We see that both in Daniel and we see it in Isaiah chapter 45 when God says about Cyrus, I'm going to raise this guy up.
00:06:22.000 He calls Cyrus his anointed when he's a secular ruler.
00:06:27.000 So put that in your theological context of God's just nice all the time.
00:06:31.000 It doesn't work that way.
00:06:32.000 It's a complicated world that we live in, and it takes a robust theology to be able to understand it properly.
00:06:39.000 We are not even at halftime of this race.
00:06:40.000 I hope you guys understand that.
00:06:43.000 This is just, we are like, about two minutes left in the second quarter, to use a football analogy.
00:06:51.000 I know this race has been going on for two years, everybody.
00:06:56.000 We are not even at the halftime break.
00:06:58.000 I'll let you know when it's halftime.
00:07:00.000 The third quarter is when we'll be in September, and the fourth quarter is that October month when ballots are out.
00:07:06.000 That is really when things are going to start to move.
00:07:10.000 David, What do you have to say to a pastor that is indifferent to this election?
00:07:16.000 That they say it does not matter, or even worse, some pastors that will say, God is done with America.
00:07:23.000 You know, I would usually start, Charlie, from Genesis Chapter 1.
00:07:27.000 I think that's a good place to begin at the beginning.
00:07:30.000 And in Genesis Chapter 1, I think it was one of your favorite chapters, is God ordered mankind to have dominion over the world, to rule.
00:07:40.000 That word, dominion, means to take rulership.
00:07:44.000 And that means that we influence the dealings, you know, how people function, how they interact in commerce, how they interact socially in the world around us.
00:07:54.000 John Ashcroft, former Attorney General under Bush, said that the purpose of government is to create an environment where freedom flourishes.
00:08:01.000 So that righteous people can live in that environment and function in a righteous way.
00:08:07.000 And so you contrast that with a place like North Korea, where it's very hard to function in righteousness, where it's very hard to proliferate Christianity, where it's very hard to love your neighbor, And so there is an imperative before all of these other values that we want to do, like loving our neighbor as ourself, there's an imperative to fight for an environment where which we can do that.
00:08:33.000 And that goes back to literally Genesis chapter 1, which God gives man the authority to take dominion, to have dominion, to take rule over the place he's called to live.
00:08:43.000 And when we don't do that, then we fall into the trap that the Greek philosophers told us that if we don't engage in politics, then what happens is that we are ruled by our lessers.
00:08:52.000 And that just doesn't mean, like, we're ruled by people that are stupider than us.
00:08:56.000 That's a crass way of thinking about it.
00:08:58.000 But what if we're ruled by people that are morally inferior?
00:09:01.000 What if we're ruled by people that are morally corrupt?
00:09:04.000 And that's what happens when people with strong moral center, Christians, don't engage in politics.
00:09:12.000 And so that would be my first argument from Dominion and then moving onward from there, Charlie.
00:09:20.000 Are you ready to lose weight, but not sure where to start?
00:09:22.000 I understand.
00:09:22.000 I was right where you are two years ago.

00:09:37.000 They know that 90% of permanent change comes from the mind, and they work on eliminating the reason you gained this weight in the first place.
00:09:43.000 There's no shortcuts, pills, or injections, just solid science-based nutrition and behavior change.
00:09:47.000 And finally, and probably most importantly, I lost 30 pounds.

00:10:13.000 Her program is based on years of research and is science-based.
00:10:16.000 Second, the PhD program starts in nutrition, but it's so much more.

00:10:21.000 MyPhDWeightLoss.com.
00:10:23.000 Call 864-644-1900.
00:10:26.000 I lost over 30 pounds.
00:10:27.000 Dr. Asher Lucas, great American.
00:10:29.000 Check it out.
00:10:29.000 MyPhDWeightLoss.com.
00:10:33.000 What do you have to say then, David, for some pastors that will say, God is exercising his judgment on America.
00:10:40.000 There's no use in getting in the way.
00:10:42.000 Well, I think they misrepresent the nature of God, because God relates to man through something called covenants.
00:10:50.000 You can think of it like a contract.
00:10:51.000 That's a way to relate to other people.
00:10:54.000 There's a marriage contract, covenant.
00:10:55.000 That's how you relate to your wife, that you're always faithful to her.
00:10:58.000 The word covenant in Hebrew is bris, believe it or not.
00:11:01.000 But please continue, because that literally is how they pass down the covenant.
00:11:04.000 Yes, exactly.
00:11:07.000 We can go into that for a while, but to continue is that God deals with people in relationship to covenant, and he's given us this covenant through Christ that says, you can return to me up to the point of finality, up to the last point, and that's most manifest by the man on the cross, by the thief on the cross, that he's about to die.
00:11:26.000 He's under the judgment of God, right?
00:11:29.000 He's about to die, and he turns to Christ at the very last moment, and Christ says, today I will.
00:11:34.000 You will see me.
00:11:35.000 You will see me in paradise.
00:11:36.000 It's like America is not past the point of death.
00:11:39.000 It's not past the point of the final judgment of God.
00:11:42.000 We still have an opportunity to turn and repent.
00:11:46.000 And the scripture over and over and over reiterates, if we will do that, God will bless our nation and give us another generation for our children To be able to walk in the lands of liberty.
00:11:57.000 And I think, you know, if you're not thinking about your children, then your heart is in the wrong place.
00:12:02.000 In the book of Malachi, God says, if the hearts of the fathers will turn towards the sons and the sons towards the fathers, I will heal the nation.
00:12:09.000 So I would say to those pastors that are thinking, oh, it's too far gone.
00:12:12.000 Please remember your children, your progeny, the people that God has entrusted you to, that they would have an environment Wherein they can pursue God and then see a place that flourishes with righteousness and then blesses the rest of the world.
00:12:26.000 But if we don't see America restored first, we're not going to see the rest of the world restored second.
00:12:32.000 They're under the spell of globalism and Marxism and all of these other isms that limit the ability to exercise our Christian liberties.
00:12:42.000 Well, I mean, first of all, what pride that one has to say is that you confidently know that God has done with a nation.
00:12:50.000 I think that is incredibly fatalistic.
00:12:52.000 It also is quite honestly, it's anti-biblical in many different ways that God wants you to stop fighting because you think you can see things ahead of time.
00:13:05.000 Secondly, when it goes back to the assassination attempt of Donald Trump and him getting shot, Donald Trump might have saved the life of Trump for Trump, but also beyond that, because he knows that this country would have been in bedlam and unrest, the likes of which we've never seen.
00:13:22.000 That maybe God was putting peace and the shalom of the nation.
00:13:27.000 And I do believe it was divine intervention.
00:13:29.000 There is no convincing me otherwise.
00:13:32.000 And so David, as pastors and Christians look regarding this election, how should they think about it?
00:13:41.000 How should they go about making their political choice, which right now seems to be Donald Trump versus Kamala Harris?
00:13:49.000 Yeah, I think there's a hierarchy of value that we move through when we make political decisions.
00:13:55.000 No one will line up perfectly with your ideals, or your values, or the way, you know, you interpret the scripture, or any of those kind of things, and we understand that.
00:14:02.000 But I think there's a couple of places to start, and I think the protection of life is one of the fundamental places.
00:14:09.000 And it's a really easy argument in that if we don't have life, and we don't protect life, especially vulnerable life, Then we don't have really a future.
00:14:18.000 When we start to devalue life itself, we start to devalue our nation and our people.
00:14:23.000 The scripture is really clear that when we shed innocent blood, we see this from Abel throughout the Old Testament, the shedding of innocent blood brings a curse upon the nation.
00:14:33.000 And so I think it's really easy for Christians that are even moderately on the right to say, you know, it's a really great starting point.
00:14:40.000 I'm going to vote for people that protect Unborn life.
00:14:43.000 And I know it's a complicated issue for many.
00:14:47.000 There's a really easy way to move forward and say, hey, look, maybe politics is too complicated for me, but I want to protect life.
00:14:54.000 The other big issues are to protect Christian liberties, is to say, I want to be able to speak about my faith in public.
00:15:01.000 And when we see the practices of the left as first exemplified in Europe and then in Canada and then making their way here, Christian free speech is being limited and people are going to jail around the world and that's on its way here unless we vote for people that believe in constitutional rights and liberties like free speech.
00:15:20.000 So I think protection of life is really important.
00:15:23.000 I think protection of the ability to exercise freedom of religion is very important.
00:15:28.000 And then there are a couple of issues, but Christians have to have a hierarchy of value, and not killing other people has to be really close to the top of that hierarchy of value.
00:15:38.000 I know people believe all kinds of things about immigration or taxation, and I'm okay with people having different opinions, but protecting the innocent, I think, is a really easy place for the vast majority of evangelical Christians to say, you know what?
00:15:53.000 I may not even like this guy.
00:15:54.000 Look, I like Trump.
00:15:55.000 I think he's awesome.
00:15:56.000 You may not think that, But you can still say, I want to defend the most innocent, and so I'm going to engage so that one day when I stand before God and he says, hey, why didn't you take 20 minutes out of your day on November 5th to engage the laws that rule the nation?
00:16:14.000 You know, the exact... Yes, or just...
00:16:16.000 Just fill out a mail-in ballot.
00:16:17.000 This is not that hard, guys.
00:16:19.000 We're not asking you to get shot like Donald Trump was shot.
00:16:23.000 We're asking you to fill in a mail-in ballot.
00:16:25.000 Okay, I want to play this piece of tape here and just get your initial reaction, which we were texting about this, David, which is, do you live in the context of which you are in?
00:16:35.000 We were talking about this.
00:16:37.000 We are called to carry a burden.
00:16:39.000 You say this, we're called to sacrifice.
00:16:41.000 How about we burden ourselves again with what has been?
00:16:45.000 This is a very important thing as Kamala Harris repeatedly uses this strange wording, what can be unburdened by what has been.
00:16:55.000 Play cut 80.
00:16:56.000 I can imagine what can be and be unburdened by what has been.
00:16:59.000 You know?
00:17:01.000 What can be unburdened by what has been?
00:17:18.000 I think the first major reaction is that we're supposed to carry burdens.
00:17:24.000 Galatians says, carry one another's burden and so fulfill the law of Christ.
00:17:28.000 There are things that we actually are called to be burdened by.
00:17:31.000 Charlie always points out that honor your mother and father means to treat them weightily, to carry a burden.
00:17:38.000 To carry them.
00:17:40.000 That's a burden of the past.
00:17:41.000 That's a burden of tradition.
00:17:43.000 That's a burden of honor.
00:17:44.000 And so the idea that we're going to create some kind of sophistry that we're going to be unburdened from the past to see the future is, you know, it's strict Marxist idealism, which our friend Dr. James Lindsay talks about so well.
00:17:58.000 This idea that under this Marxist rubric that we're going to be free from all the pain in the past.
00:18:03.000 All you have to do is hand over all of power to me and I will create an idealistic utopia where There's no more racism, and there's no more evil, and there's no more crime, and that's not how the world works, and that's not how we change anything.
00:18:17.000 We change things by changing ourselves.
00:18:19.000 And that's why Jesus said, if you want the kingdom of heaven to come, repent first for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
00:18:25.000 He didn't say take the Marxist dogma and overthrow Caesar or the other ruling class, but that you have the obligation to repent yourself and change and carry the burden that you're due.

00:19:44.000 David, read Isaiah 45 to us.
00:19:46.000 You have a word there.
00:19:47.000 Yeah, I do.
00:19:48.000 Thank you, Charlie, again for having me on and letting me be in the captain's chair, but let me read it here.
00:19:54.000 Isaiah 41.5 says this.
00:19:55.000 It says, This is what the Lord says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take and hold, to subdue nations before him, and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him, so that gates will not be shut.
00:20:12.000 There's a late 19th century commentary about this verse and the commentary says of this verse that this is the only time in recorded history of the scripture where God calls a person that's not specifically a part of the house, like specifically a priest or a prophet or an Israelite king, specifically God's anointed to Sometimes people think that scripture where if you say a prayer and the mountain is removed that has to do with actual mountains.
00:20:42.000 From biblical symbology, mountains represent kingdoms, and they represent places of power.
00:20:50.000 Sometimes people think that scripture where if you say a prayer and the mountain is removed, that has to do with
00:20:55.000 It has to do with moving kingdoms.
00:20:55.000 actual mountains.
00:20:57.000 And right now, in the United States of America, we have a globalist kingdom, a humanist, secular, globalist kingdom
00:21:05.000 against another kingdom.
00:21:07.000 And I think God wants to use Trump to do these things, which are strip kings of their power and move mountains.
00:21:14.000 What does it mean to strip a king of his power?
00:21:16.000 That language in Hebrew, Charlie, means that they would be in their very soul shaken, or that their loins would be made weak.
00:21:25.000 And I think that's going to happen in this next presidency if the people do what they're called to do, which is engage, get out and vote, influence their friends and family.
00:21:34.000 I think you're right.
00:21:35.000 I don't think this is a slam dunk, but I think God is giving us an opportunity to engage and he's setting up a roadway for us to walk down right now.
00:21:45.000 Yeah, and look, the Biden thing might have been too easy.
00:21:47.000 And maybe God's plan is like, no, I'm going to see if you guys want to work for it.
00:21:50.000 Yeah.
00:21:51.000 I'm not just going to hand this thing on a platter for you guys.
00:21:53.000 And David, can you talk about that in closing here?
00:21:56.000 That God will do his part, but we must do our part.
00:21:58.000 You know that has been my theological prime directive at Turning Point.
00:22:04.000 Yes.
00:22:05.000 No one works harder than us.
00:22:06.000 No one will do it.
00:22:07.000 But we understand that there is a divine, eternal, component that we cannot control, but it's not going to happen by just us sitting on the couch eating Fritos Doritos and sipping Mountain Dew.
00:22:21.000 That's right.
00:22:21.000 David Englehart.
00:22:22.000 Yeah, the scripture says this phrase, it's a proposition really, if my people who are called by name, my name, It doesn't say when my people or that God's going to control their minds with his power.
00:22:34.000 It says, if my people choose to engage, if my people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will come and bring blessing, heal the nation.
00:22:46.000 Well, what is in part our wicked ways?
00:22:47.000 Part of that is just the apathy that we've walked in as a nation that we've said, you know, I don't need to deal with this.
00:22:53.000 I'm already blessed.
00:22:54.000 I don't need to engage in politics.
00:22:55.000 I'm just going to let Whoever wants to take power.
00:22:59.000 We see this best exemplified in the book of Daniel because Daniel is a man that is a man of God that's engaged in let's call it secular politics and he prays faithfully and he engages faithfully and he influences the king of his time faithfully.
00:23:17.000 For what reason?
00:23:18.000 For the protection of the people.
00:23:21.000 For the blessing of the people.
00:23:22.000 And you can see that.
00:23:23.000 He's fasting and praying and fighting in prayer.
00:23:27.000 And he's also influencing by his language, by his speech, by his excellence, the King.
00:23:32.000 And that's what we have to do.
00:23:33.000 We have to pray.
00:23:34.000 That's what Christians are called to do.
00:23:36.000 We're not primarily carnal.
00:23:38.000 We're primarily spiritual.
00:23:40.000 But we manifest our desire and God's desire through regular, everyday acts.
00:23:46.000 There's this phrase, like, don't be too heavenly minded that you can be of no earthly good.
00:23:51.000 That really comes to play here when we talk about politics.
00:23:53.000 It's like, no, if you if you call to love your neighbor, then you're called to care about the laws that rule their actual life.
00:24:02.000 You're cared to call about the president that's in charge of their actual country.
00:24:06.000 How can you say you love your neighbor if you don't care about who rules the country?
00:24:12.000 And I mean that in the rulership and the constitutional construct of a democratic republic, et cetera, et cetera.
00:24:16.000 But voting shows that you're caring for your neighbor, that you're loving your neighbor, and that's why this term, this election cycle, we have to engage.
00:24:26.000 We have to be like Daniel, who both prays and influences, who hopes for angels to show up, which is what we're hoping for, but also walks into the King's office and says, hey King, you've got to treat our people X-way or that they're Speaking on behalf of godly principles and righteous edicts, so forth and so on, that we would see righteousness in this nation.
00:24:48.000 David, excellent work.
00:24:49.000 I know we're gonna be hanging out soon.
00:24:51.000 Thank you for everything, and I think we're going to the Believer's Summit, so that's gonna be fun.
00:24:55.000 Thank you, David.
00:24:56.000 God bless.
00:24:56.000 Thanks, Charlie.
00:24:57.000 Appreciate it.
