00:00:00.000 Hey, everybody.
00:00:00.000 Today, the Charlie Kirk show.
00:00:01.000 It's Ask Me Anything episode.
00:00:03.000 Is it true that millennials are going to the right?
00:00:06.000 Yes, it is.
00:00:08.000 We also go through the latest with Target.
00:00:11.000 And what about those Ten Commandments?
00:00:13.000 We talk about that as well.

00:00:28.000 Buckle up, everybody.
00:00:28.000 Here we go.
00:00:30.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
00:00:32.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campuses.
00:00:34.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
00:00:37.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
00:00:40.000 I want to thank Charlie.
00:00:41.000 He's an incredible guy.
00:00:42.000 His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA.
00:00:51.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:01:00.000 That's why we are here.
00:01:03.000 Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandTodd.com.
00:01:13.000 All right, everybody, let's get started.
00:01:14.000 Lots of questions.
00:01:15.000 Happy Monday, as always.
00:01:17.000 You can email us freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:01:21.000 Mark has a question.
00:01:22.000 Charlie, did you see the recent New York Times article about millennials?
00:01:27.000 I'm curious your thoughts.
00:01:28.000 I think Turning Point is starting to have a making difference.
00:01:33.000 So millennials are not an exception.
00:01:35.000 They've moved right.
00:01:36.000 This is the New York Times piece.
00:01:37.000 Over the last decade, almost every cohort of voters under 50 has shifted rightward.
00:01:45.000 By Nate Cohen.
00:01:47.000 So let me just start by saying this: that 11 years ago, it's easy to kind of forget this, or more specifically, even 13, 15 years ago, it was forecasted that this generation, the millennials that I'm a member of, was going to be the most liberal generation in American history.
00:02:07.000 That they were going to bring forth the revolution.
00:02:10.000 In fact, you could go type in, type in Obama UW-Madison and look at the images.
00:02:17.000 Young people, as far as the eye can see.
00:02:21.000 I mean, an absolute swarm of young people.
00:02:27.000 It's literally on the steps of Madison, blanketing the entire campus.
00:02:34.000 And I was told by donors, I was told by organizers, I was told by some, not all donors, some donors, it is an impossibility to make any substantive changes.
00:02:45.000 That this is the way it's going to be.
00:02:47.000 Millennials, we have to deal with it.
00:02:49.000 They're super left-wing.
00:02:51.000 In fact, when I first started Turning Point USA to try to spread conservative values and ideas, many of the Washington, D.C. snob groups said, oh, what is this turning point thing?
00:03:02.000 It's a waste of time.
00:03:04.000 This generation is not movable.
00:03:06.000 I am glad that I did not listen to those people.
00:03:08.000 And our team at Turning Point, we remained focused on a core objective, to pass down our values to the next generation.
00:03:15.000 And then the woke stuff came in, and we kept on building and we kept on building and we kept on building.
00:03:20.000 And the Nate Cohn article is fascinating.
00:03:24.000 15 years ago, a new generation of young voters propelled Barack Obama to a decisive victory that augered a new era of Democrat dominance.
00:03:33.000 15 years later, those once young voters aren't so young and they aren't quite so Democrat.
00:03:39.000 In the 2020 presidential election, voters who were 18 to 29 in 2008 backed Joe Biden by 55 to 43 percent.
00:03:48.000 Exit polls show it even closer.
00:03:50.000 And in fact, the last midterm shows it within one point.
00:03:56.000 They went from a Democrat plus 35 to 40 generation to a 50-50 generation.
00:04:06.000 This is a generation that was going to bring in the cultural revolution by almost a guarantee.
00:04:12.000 And by the way, we actually saw this last fall.
00:04:15.000 We wrote an article in Newsweek.com, Do Not Believe the Hype.
00:04:19.000 Young people are getting less liberal.
00:04:22.000 We went through the numbers because some of the DC groups, specifically the RNC, the RNC was very mad that I was calling the, you know, calling for Rana Romney's resignation.
00:04:33.000 And so the RNC was planting stories against Turning Point in the media, saying, oh, young people are super liberal.
00:04:40.000 Let's blame them for all of our problems.
00:04:42.000 It's like, wait a second, you don't understand the progress that we've already made.
00:04:45.000 And by the way, if you are designating us with the blame of the younger generation, then you must give Turning Point the credit for any success.
00:04:55.000 I don't make the rules.
00:04:57.000 You know, the RNC operatives, Rana, remember Rana?
00:05:01.000 She goes on to the show, well, Brian Kilmead show or something.
00:05:07.000 She says, oh, Turning Point does fine events, but have they actually moved the dial?
00:05:10.000 Yeah, we actually have.
00:05:12.000 It's not just us, though.
00:05:13.000 Daily Wire deserves a lot of credit.
00:05:15.000 Elon Musk deserves a lot of credit.
00:05:17.000 Ben Shapiro, Candace Owens, Matt Walsh deserve a ton of credit for their work.
00:05:23.000 All of this helps move the Overton window, helps move the dial.
00:05:26.000 Joe Rogan deserves a lot of credit.
00:05:29.000 And so we wrote about this in Newsweek.
00:05:31.000 And so this is some amazing news.
00:05:33.000 I hope this is just hitting home and you're internalizing it.
00:05:36.000 This demographic that's supposed to be unbelievably liberal, they are supposed to be the Marxist base.
00:05:42.000 Nate Cohn in the New York Times says, actually, not really.
00:05:46.000 A different story emerges by tracking this cohort of voters over time.
00:05:50.000 Rather than a whole generation staying left-wing, they're not the same.
00:05:54.000 In fact, every election cycle, they're moving further and further and further to the right.
00:06:01.000 The shift to right appears largest amongst the oldest young voters, which is just going to keep on happening.
00:06:07.000 You see, those pesky shackles of reality of getting married, having kids, having to pay for a mortgage, that'll humble you.
00:06:16.000 That will anchor you.
00:06:19.000 And it happens over a period of time.
00:06:22.000 It happens gradually than suddenly as we continue to pour in to the next generation around core ideas, make arguments that resonate, challenge bad ideas.
00:06:36.000 Says here in the New York Times piece: the shift to right for younger voters is surprising those in the Democrat establishment.
00:06:46.000 They took younger voters for granted.
00:06:48.000 And I fully acknowledge Generation Z is still very liberal.
00:06:52.000 We have our work cut out for us.
00:06:55.000 Generation Z is, you know, believes in a lot of this nonsense.
00:06:59.000 So we're going to keep the pressure on.
00:07:03.000 But for those of you, we are now right here at the airing of this episode.
00:07:06.000 The airing of this episode is our 11-year birthday at Turning Point USA.
00:07:13.000 11 years.
00:07:15.000 June 5th, 2012, Turning Point USA was started.
00:07:19.000 11 years ago, when Turning Point USA started, the generation that I told people, or I tried to convince people to invest in, that is worth betting on was cast aside and predicted to be a 30 to 40 percent Marxist generation.
00:07:40.000 And now it's basically 50-50.
00:07:43.000 11 years of hard work.
00:07:46.000 And again, I am not taking full credit for it, but I would say: what organization other than Turning Point USA has been organizing in the trenches focused on the education of the next generation to pass down American values, to educate on the Constitution, the promise of the American founding, and then to actually go on college campuses and challenge these ideas.
00:08:08.000 And make no mistake, the woke stuff has presented an amazing opportunity to build consensus, to show the radicalism inherent in these ideas.
00:08:22.000 Let me just show you an example here.
00:08:24.000 Why is it that this generation is moving?
00:08:27.000 Yes, the work that Turning Point is doing is important, but how about this one?
00:08:31.000 We have looking through the cut sheet here.
00:08:36.000 Do we have that one of the teacher, Ryan?
00:08:38.000 Are we not able to upload that?
00:08:40.000 I'm not sure if we're able to upload it.
00:08:44.000 If it's not on there, we don't have it.
00:08:45.000 Okay, well, I could recite it.
00:08:47.000 There is this video of a teacher going through the details to students on how to perform anal sex.
00:08:55.000 It's not an exaggeration.
00:08:56.000 It's over a minute long.
00:08:59.000 Yeah, that'll radicalize new parents very quickly.
00:09:04.000 It'll radicalize parents that might have been raised in the Obama generation and the fervor and the promise that Obama was going to be the great leap forward of America.
00:09:15.000 This is very promising news, everybody.
00:09:17.000 You want to talk about people being demoralized.
00:09:21.000 You know who should be demoralized?
00:09:23.000 The left who was counting on a mass monopoly of younger voters.
00:09:29.000 They thought they could have a stranglehold on a generation.
00:09:33.000 They thought younger voters would be as loyal voters as the black community has been to the American Democrat Party, and that has not materialized.
00:09:42.000 In fact, it is moving rapidly against them every single election cycle.
00:09:51.000 So this is terrific news across the board.
00:09:55.000 And you look that every demographic is moving right in the last couple of years.
00:09:59.000 And then, so you might be asking, well, Charlie, if every demographic is moving right, why aren't we able then to win the seats in the Senate?
00:10:06.000 Why aren't we able to win the seats in the House of Representatives?
00:10:10.000 Because we're not actually playing the election game.
00:10:12.000 This is why TurningPointAction, tpaction.com, is doing the ballot chasing operation in Wisconsin.
00:10:20.000 If we actually get involved in the mechanics and the infrastructure and the machinery and the plumbing of the elections, what Nate Cohen is writing on the New York Times, which is basically a fire alarm newsletter, is what he says here, subscriber-only newsletter, is that the country is tilting center-right amongst every single demographic.
00:10:47.000 The country is tilting in the center-right direction in every conceivable way.
00:10:55.000 He said, Look, it's not necessarily a stunning fighting.
00:10:57.000 Political folklore has long held that voters become more conservative as they get older, but it's nonetheless at odds with a wave of recent reports or studies suggesting otherwise.
00:11:05.000 The Financial Times, for instance, wrote that, quote, millennials are shattering the oldest rule in politics.
00:11:10.000 Not true.
00:11:12.000 Democrat data firm Catalyst found that Democrats essentially lost ground amongst millennials and Generation Z of last decade.
00:11:18.000 These findings have sparked a new wave of speculation whether the long-awaited era of Democrat dominance might this time really be at hand.
00:11:31.000 But a different story emerges by tracking those voters.
00:11:34.000 The millenniums of 2008 are not the same as 2016.
00:11:38.000 Six additional years of even more heavily Democrat millennials becoming eligible to vote after the 2008 election, canceling out the slight Republican majority.
00:11:45.000 The shift to the right is real and palpable.
00:11:50.000 And we got to lean in.
00:11:52.000 This is so exciting, everybody.
00:11:53.000 This shows that all the work that we're doing on podcasting, and those of you that support us at charliekirk.com/slash support, for us being in the weeds, for us challenging all of this nonsense, for the 330 days of travel that I've done a year over the last 11 years of the money we raised and the 240,000 donors that we have at Turning Point USA.
00:12:22.000 That's right, 240,000 donors.
00:12:24.000 And by the way, if you feel so moved, you know, give us $11 for our 11-year anniversary at tpusa.com.
00:12:30.000 You'll see all of our programming there.
00:12:32.000 That it's making a difference and it is paying off.
00:12:36.000 And the Democrats are worried.
00:12:38.000 The left is worried.
00:12:40.000 They can't quite figure it out.
00:12:42.000 And this gives me a lot of hope.
00:12:44.000 Email me freedom at charliekirk.com and subscribe to our podcast.
00:12:47.000 Let's get to another question here.
00:12:50.000 Charlie, what is the latest with Target?
00:12:53.000 I know that they were holding an emergency meeting.
00:12:55.000 Can you help me understand?
00:12:56.000 Yes, let's, this is that is from Tyler from Tennessee.
00:13:02.000 Let's play cut 11, please.
00:13:03.000 Target holding an emergency meeting over its controversial pride merchandise, the damage control mode coming as it desperately tries to avoid a so-called Bud Light situation.
00:13:12.000 A Target insider telling Fox News Digital, quote, we were given 36 hours, told to take all the pride stuff and move it into a section that is a third of the size from the front of the store to the back.
00:13:23.000 I think given the current situation with Bud Light, the company is terrified.
00:13:26.000 So that right there is Target holding an emergency meeting over controversial pride merchandise to avoid a Bud Light situation.
00:13:34.000 Do you see how the Pride wins are changing?
00:13:37.000 People are not so enthusiastic right now about embracing this Pride stuff.
00:13:44.000 People are not so zealous behind this.
00:13:47.000 They're responding by saying that if you boycott Target, you're engaging in economic terrorism.
00:13:53.000 Play Cut 10.
00:13:54.000 When Target caves into this, then it says that the moment you threaten the employees of even a very large corporation, you get to control its policies.
00:14:05.000 This is economic terrorism, literally terrorism, creating fear among the workers and forcing the corporations to sell the things you want, not sell the things you don't.
00:14:17.000 Economic terrorism.
00:14:18.000 You see, this is part of their playbook.
00:14:20.000 It's exactly why they have to always call you terrorists.
00:14:23.000 You notice that their playbook is the same.
00:14:26.000 That their reaction becomes their action.
00:14:28.000 James Lindsay speaks about this beautifully.
00:14:31.000 Instead of actually having a policy debate, they know they can't defend the indefensible.
00:14:37.000 They know they cannot defend LGBTQI plus propaganda in Target.
00:14:43.000 They know they can't defend that.
00:14:44.000 They know that, especially to kids.
00:14:47.000 So instead, they have to do the same thing they tried to do with January 6th, just call you a terrorist.
00:14:55.000 You see, the terrorist word carries a lot of weight.
00:14:59.000 As soon as you label somebody a terrorist, you're able to use different agencies of government.
00:15:04.000 We're able to surveil them, infiltrate them, lock them up in prison longer.
00:15:08.000 The current playbook of the American left is do whatever it takes to be able to classify ordinary Americans as terrorists.
00:15:19.000 They are scrambling.
00:15:22.000 They are grasping at anything right now.
00:15:26.000 And in a move of complete and exhaustive desperation, They want to call you Timothy McVay.
00:15:38.000 Don't believe me?
00:15:39.000 CBS reports that DHS warns right-wing extremist groups could target power grids within the United States.
00:15:46.000 Play cut 14.
00:15:47.000 Homeland Security is warning of a potential troubling escalation in tactics from right-wing extremists.
00:15:53.000 Catherine, we understand the power grid could be a target.
00:15:56.000 According to the intelligence report obtained by CBS News, these groups have developed credible and specific plans to attack the power grid since at least 2020 as a way to disrupt the country and the ability of government to operate.
00:16:10.000 While the report does not suggest an imminent threat, the Homeland Security Secretary has warned lone wolf actors and small bands of extremists are among the greatest domestic threat.
00:16:21.000 Right-wing extremist groups?
00:16:24.000 They never do such bulletins for the defund the police, the Antifa, or the BLM people.
00:16:30.000 Instead of debating us, coming on our programs, having conversations, isn't it just easier to call your political enemies al-Qaeda?
00:16:40.000 This is why they want to have drag Floyd.
00:16:42.000 They want to try to create a situation where somebody overreacts to a situation involving a drag queen or something adjacent to that.
00:16:53.000 And then they're able to say, see, see, these people can't control themselves, even though they are largely trying to provoke it, even though they are largely trying to provoke a reaction.
00:17:03.000 It doesn't matter.
00:17:06.000 What does matter is how we respond to it?
00:17:10.000 Constructive action.
00:17:12.000 I'm writing this in my upcoming book, which is if they are not given an overreaction from our side and we keep on building and we keep on plugging along and recruiting new people, that we are going to get closer and closer to victory along the way.
00:17:36.000 Calling us terrorists is not just a loaded linguistic attack.
00:17:43.000 No, calling us terrorists has significant and real legislative and seriously heavy policy implications, such as I am now going to be able to lock you in prison, spy on your groups.
00:18:06.000 That's what they had to do with Donald Trump.
00:18:07.000 They had to use the FISA system, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Authority.
00:18:17.000 Hey, everybody, making the commitment to yourself to lose weight is very hard, but doing it alone is even harder.
00:18:22.000 Did you know that 95% of diets fail?
00:18:25.000 The number one reason is because they lack support.
00:18:27.000 I was very lucky when I started my trek towards a healthier life.
00:18:31.000 I found PhD weight loss and nutrition.
00:18:33.000 I've lost 17 pounds so far.
00:18:35.000 It's a real thing.
00:18:35.000 No joke.
00:18:36.000 The program is legit.
00:18:38.000 They tell you when to eat, what's eaten, and they have a coach.
00:18:38.000 It's simple.
00:18:41.000 The coach is firm but fair, compassionate, and caring, but she holds me accountable.
00:18:45.000 She pushes me to new lifestyle changes, challenges me when I need to be challenged.
00:18:49.000 Here's the thing: PhD weight loss and nutrition has an 85% success rate at getting the weight off.
00:18:54.000 They have some pretty unique ideas, I'm not going to lie, and they've been very effective to me.
00:18:58.000 So if you're looking to lose weight and make a change, which is good for your overall health, call 864-644-1900 to get started today.

00:19:20.000 Okay, let's get to some more questions here.
00:19:22.000 Sam from Minnesota has a question about 2024.
00:19:29.000 Charlie, I do not understand why all these candidates are running for office.
00:19:33.000 I live right near North Dakota.
00:19:35.000 I know you visited there recently.
00:19:36.000 Why is the governor of North Dakota running?
00:19:38.000 Can you help me understand?
00:19:39.000 And this is a really good question.
00:19:42.000 I, for the life of me, cannot understand why Mike Pence or Governor Bergham is running.
00:19:49.000 So there's a couple explanations.
00:19:51.000 The first of which is they actually think they can win.
00:19:55.000 I mean, that is delusional to think that Governor Bergham from North Dakota is going to become the Republican nominee.
00:20:03.000 I mean, let's pretend that Trump completely stumbles.
00:20:07.000 Let's pretend that, you know, Trump gets indicted and people fall support.
00:20:12.000 I could list 20 other power-hungry Republicans that would have a far better chance.
00:20:20.000 Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Josh Hawley, that could all stand up a political operation a lot easier than Governor Bergham from North Dakota or Mike Pence, who, by the way, Mike Pence is welcome on this program.
00:20:31.000 I think that would make some really good radio, really good podcasting.
00:20:38.000 Why is Mike Pence running for the presidency?
00:20:41.000 This is an open question.
00:20:42.000 Now, so do they think they can win?
00:20:43.000 Or is it about like, hey, this is a way to get my name out?
00:20:46.000 This is a way to really feel that people are supporting me and I get to be on television.
00:20:55.000 It gives me something to do.
00:20:57.000 Running for president has become kind of a pastime of once-war politicians, and it doesn't stop there.
00:21:06.000 Chris Christie running for the presidency?
00:21:10.000 Really?
00:21:11.000 The money that Steve Cohen is going to spend on Chris Christie's campaign, the money that Governor Bergham is going to spend on himself, the money that I don't know who's supporting Mike Pence or whoever supported him, all of that should be used on ballot chasing and voter registration.
00:21:25.000 I mean, this is a top-level circus that we are seeing unfold right now.
00:21:33.000 And all eyes on Iowa, Tim Scott, $100 million is going to be spent.
00:21:37.000 Now, the other explanation is they think that they're doing this because they want to try to have some sort of lie in the sand that I ran against Trump and he's so terrible.
00:21:50.000 It's really strange because you cannot make an argument these people want the best possible chance for us to meet it, to be able to beat Joe Biden.
00:22:02.000 No possible chance that they want to be able to have us have the early state infrastructure.
00:22:08.000 You know, Governor Bergam from North Dakota, who I'm not a fan of, but we'll put that aside.
00:22:15.000 Instead of spending 20, 30, 40, 50, 100 million of your own money, why doesn't Governor Bergham go to Wisconsin and say, I am going to invest money in Wisconsin, which is not far from North Dakota, because I believe in the great people of Wisconsin.
00:22:34.000 That money would be far better spent.
00:22:37.000 And I would celebrate Governor Bergham for doing that.
00:22:40.000 Mike Pence, instead of running for the presidency, why don't you go raise all that money and just go spend it in Georgia right now?
00:22:49.000 We need the money right now in Georgia.
00:22:51.000 Chris Christie, go get Steve Cohen to instead go write a $100 million check so that we can win Arizona.
00:23:00.000 And the answer is: they hate Donald Trump so much.
00:23:03.000 It is totally personal.
00:23:04.000 It is petty.
00:23:05.000 It is personal.
00:23:07.000 That they want to do everything they can to get in the way.
00:23:13.000 So let's say Donald Trump stumbles and falls, which is not going to happen.
00:23:18.000 Ted Cruz has a much better chance of becoming the Republican nominee, for example, someone who's not currently running for the presidency, than every single one of these people.
00:23:26.000 Governor Bergham?
00:23:28.000 Most people say, who?
00:23:30.000 Well, it was hilarious.
00:23:31.000 I was in North Dakota at the event, as I was mentioning.
00:23:34.000 And I asked the crowd, I said, Do you guys want Governor Bergham to run?
00:23:38.000 And the place starts laughing.
00:23:40.000 You know, it's not a good sign if you're going to run for the presidency.
00:23:46.000 And at a right-wing event in Bismarck, the state capital, I ask if they want your home governor to run, and people start laughing.
00:23:58.000 Probably not a great indicator.
00:24:02.000 And then what is the constituency that Mike Pence is going after?
00:24:05.000 Now, some say, hey, he's going after the evangelical, you know, the Christian world.
00:24:09.000 Yeah, that lane is getting increasingly overcrowded.
00:24:14.000 And many of the Christian evangelicals are pro-Trump.
00:24:19.000 And they really think they're going to beat Trump in a one-on-one or a two-on-two?
00:24:25.000 It really doesn't compute.
00:24:28.000 I want your theories, though, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:24:31.000 Why is it that so many people are running?
00:24:33.000 Could it just be simple?
00:24:34.000 That they have dreamed of being president since they were a kid and this is their one shot?
00:24:39.000 Yeah, that's putting their own ambitions and their own interests above that of the country.
00:24:44.000 It is deeply damaging to have this many people.
00:24:47.000 In fact, it plays right into the agenda of the New York Times.
00:24:51.000 It plays right into the agenda of the Washington Post to have this three-ring circus that we're about to call the Republican primary.
00:24:58.000 And again, I'll just keep reiterating it.
00:25:00.000 Our big news from Turning Point Action, we're deploying $5 million that we have to go out and raise in Wisconsin.
00:25:06.000 By the way, any one of these plutocrats, any one of these billionaire oligarchs, and I don't say plutocrats pejoratively, if you want to spend the money and you have a lot of money, that's terrific.
00:25:15.000 The best investment you can make is in early voting right now infrastructure in Wisconsin, Georgia, Arizona.
00:25:22.000 It's not in some vanity contest of who can finish seventh in Iowa.
00:25:26.000 We are going to get steamrolled by the Democrats.
00:25:30.000 And isn't that, I mean, Joe Biden can't walk without face planning.
00:25:33.000 He still might beat us.
00:25:34.000 By beat us, I mean that they're going to chase ballots better than us.
00:25:36.000 They're going to register more voters in the middle.
00:25:39.000 I really hope things start to change because we are trending in a dangerous direction right now.
00:25:44.000 It is not looking good at all.

00:26:52.000 Okay, let's go to another question here.
00:26:55.000 We have several.
00:26:57.000 Let's go right here.
00:26:59.000 Isaac, Isaac, by the way, which means laughter.
00:27:03.000 Isaac from California.
00:27:05.000 Charlie, I love the show.
00:27:06.000 I also love when you talk about the Bible.
00:27:08.000 Okay, there you go.
00:27:09.000 Every so often.
00:27:09.000 That's fitting.
00:27:11.000 Where are you at in your journey to read the Torah?
00:27:14.000 Love the show and Baroch Hashem.
00:27:15.000 Okay, so Isaac is a Jewish listener.
00:27:18.000 God bless you and Baroch Hashem, which means, I believe it means God bless you or God gives grace or something of the variety.
00:27:24.000 What does Baroch Hashem actually mean?
00:27:26.000 I think it means, basically, I thank God.
00:27:28.000 It means to glory be to God or blessed be God.
00:27:31.000 So I am in the jury.
00:27:34.000 I'm on the process.
00:27:36.000 I am doing the work.
00:27:38.000 I'm now in Exodus 32.
00:27:41.000 I can tell you, this has been one of the more challenging projects where I am listening to the original audio of Dennis Prager's lectures of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.
00:27:55.000 And this is not just his rational Bible.
00:27:57.000 This is much harder.
00:27:58.000 This is hundreds of hours of audio, first told in the original Hebrew, word by word.
00:28:03.000 I'm getting so much out of it.
00:28:05.000 And, you know, he spent a ton of time on the Ten Commandments, which I'm glad he did.
00:28:10.000 And the more that you study the Ten Commandments, the more that I realized that this really is the operation manual for humanity.
00:28:19.000 That if you just want people to live decent and ordinary and flourishing lives, follow the Ten Commandments.
00:28:26.000 Now, interestingly, we call it the Ten Commandments.
00:28:29.000 It's probably more than the Ten Commandments.
00:28:32.000 Now, I don't mean all the laws about like oxes and what happens when someone falls into a ditch, which actually comes right after.
00:28:40.000 I mean, actually, the Ten Commandments as we know it actually has several other components.
00:28:46.000 I mean, for example, the commandment, which is thou shalt not covet, is also do not cover thy neighbor's wife or his slaves or his animals or anything of thy neighbor.
00:29:02.000 You should also understand that, like, well, it's not just remember to keep the Sabbath day and keep it holy.
00:29:08.000 It's for six days you should work, and then the seventh day you should rest.
00:29:13.000 So it's actually a two-part commandment: work and rest.
00:29:16.000 You're commanded to work for six days and to rest one day, Shabbat, which means to stop.
00:29:22.000 What I find so interesting about the Ten Commandments, and by the way, is the first line, I am the Lord thy God who delivered you from Egypt, I am Yahweh your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt out of the house of bondage.
00:29:36.000 Is that a commandment or not?
00:29:39.000 By the way, that sets up the entire rest of the Ten Commandments.
00:29:43.000 I am the Lord your God.
00:29:45.000 So every time that Jesus in the New Testament said, I am, it is a parallel back to not just Exodus 3, I think it's like Exodus 3, Moses and the burning bush, but also to here.
00:29:55.000 But is that a commandment?
00:29:57.000 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
00:29:59.000 By the way, how many of you could list the Ten Commandments?
00:30:02.000 That's interesting.
00:30:03.000 Probably almost a fair amount of you.
00:30:05.000 Most secular society can't.
00:30:08.000 The second commandment is also equally as interesting.
00:30:10.000 Thou shalt not make thee any graven image or any likeness of anything in heaven that is above or that is in the earth beneath.
00:30:17.000 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them.
00:30:20.000 Third commandment.
00:30:21.000 You see, the first five commandments are all about a relationship between us and God.
00:30:27.000 Remember, Christianity, which Judaism was the prerequisite to Christianity as the monotheism, it just destroyed this idea of polytheism or polyorthodoxy or poly, not polyorthodoxy, polyoxy.
00:30:48.000 Many beliefs.
00:30:51.000 You see, if you have many gods, you have many moralities, one God, one morality.
00:30:55.000 Every single one of the American founding fathers was an ethical monotheist.
00:30:59.000 They believe in the laws of nature and nature's God.
00:31:02.000 They believed in the supreme judge of the world.
00:31:05.000 God is mentioned four times in the Declaration of Independence.
00:31:07.000 But then it makes a switch.
00:31:08.000 Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy?
00:31:10.000 That is the only ritual in the Ten Commandments.
00:31:15.000 By the way, to properly remember the Sabbath, to properly remember that, it's actually a standing celebration.
00:31:21.000 It's a standing cathedral in time.
00:31:24.000 And Jews that honor the Sabbath, Literally, say what's called the kaddush, which is, in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
00:31:35.000 It is a standing remembrance that God created this place.
00:31:39.000 We did not.
00:31:41.000 Then, of course, honor thy mother and father, which means you could translate it to keep them, to treat them heavily, to treat them with weight, not to cast aside lightly or to curse them.
00:31:54.000 Thou shalt not kill or thou shalt not murder.
00:31:57.000 You see, that's really interesting.
00:31:59.000 It says that.
00:32:00.000 This is wrong.
00:32:01.000 I'm reading this translation.
00:32:02.000 It says, thou shalt not kill.
00:32:03.000 It does not say that.
00:32:04.000 No, no, no.
00:32:05.000 It says, thou shalt not murder.
00:32:07.000 It's a completely different word, but that's really interesting.
00:32:10.000 It says that in this particular glossary.
00:32:12.000 Then thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not steal.
00:32:14.000 And then these are the next commandments are between us and our fellow men.
00:32:20.000 This is the operating manual for how we're supposed to treat one another.
00:32:28.000 And it's repeated in Deuteronomy.
00:32:31.000 There is actually a change in only one part of it, not a change, but an adjustment.
00:32:36.000 In you are honor the Sabbath, remember the Sabbath and keep it holy because you are no longer slaves like you were in Egypt.
00:32:43.000 If you work nothing but seven days, you're a slave to your work, and God does not want you to be a slave.
00:32:50.000 So I'm in Exodus 32, which is the golden calf.
00:32:54.000 It is infinitely interesting.
00:32:56.000 I just want to encourage those of you that have not spent a significant amount of time studying and reading the scriptures.
00:33:01.000 Yeah, it takes work.
00:33:02.000 It absolutely does.
00:33:04.000 It is not a Harry Pottle novel.
00:33:06.000 It is not Lord of the Rings.
00:33:07.000 It's not hunger games where you're like, wow, this is easy.
00:33:11.000 And I mean, it's enjoyable, but it is work.
00:33:16.000 And as I get older, it becomes more and more clear that the beautiful things take a lot of work.
00:33:21.000 Marriage, kids, it does not come easily.
00:33:25.000 It's not just like getting a fast food burger.
00:33:29.000 It's not like a gumball machine.
00:33:31.000 No, you have to put work into it.
00:33:32.000 You have to labor over it.
00:33:36.000 It just does not come immediately and automatically.
00:33:39.000 Okay, let's get to a final question here.
00:33:42.000 Let's go to this one here.
00:33:45.000 Charlie, I heard you say that Lindsey Graham was largely to blame because we didn't get a better deal.
00:33:50.000 What other evidence do you have to suggest that?
00:33:52.000 Love this show.
00:33:53.000 Okay, this is Paul from Oklahoma.
00:33:54.000 Really interesting piece of tape here.
00:33:56.000 Play cut 45.
00:33:57.000 25, we're going to cap spending at a level that we cannot expand the Navy.
00:34:02.000 Less money for the Marines, less money for the Army, less ships for the Navy at a time of great conflict.
00:34:09.000 Not a penny in this bill to help Ukraine defeat Putin.
00:34:13.000 They're going on the offensive as I speak, and we need to send a clear message to Putin that when it comes to your invasion of Ukraine, we're going to support the Ukrainians to ensure your loss.
00:34:26.000 If we don't do that, then we're going to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.
00:34:34.000 Lindsey Graham is livid.
00:34:35.000 The debt deal doesn't include more money for Zelensky.
00:34:39.000 Not one penny in this bill to help Ukraine defeat Putin.
00:34:43.000 Hey, guess what, Lindsey Graham?
00:34:45.000 Not one penny in this bill to help us secure our border.
00:34:50.000 No, but Lindsey Graham and the Uniparty globalists are more fired up that our money is not going to help a foreigner than our own country being overrun.
