00:02:45.000 The United Kingdom government has indefinitely banned the prescription of puberty blockers as a treatment for gender dysphoria in minors.
00:02:52.000 It's not a permanent legal ban.
00:02:53.000 The government says it will gather more evidence and revisit it in 2027. The watershed moment in the United Kingdom was the release of the Cass Review, a report commissioned by the British National Health Service to look at the medical evidence around transgenderism.
00:03:07.000 The report found that the evidence supporting treatments like puberty blockers was quote remarkably weak.
00:03:12.000 The British health secretary said puberty blockers pose quote an unacceptable safety risk for children and young people.
00:03:17.000 Remember This is a member of the left-wing Labour Party.
00:03:21.000 By the way, because this is Britain, the government is also banning oatmeal advertisements from TV on the grounds that it's junk food.
00:03:27.000 Now, putting all that together, the United Kingdom has now banned puberty blockers, which is actually a better medical position than what we're seeing here in the States.
00:03:36.000 Joining us now is Chloe Cole, a detransitioner and activist and a great person.
00:03:40.000 Chloe, welcome to the program.
00:03:41.000 Your reaction to this news?
00:03:42.000 Thanks for having me, Charlie.
00:03:44.000 I mean, for the UK, this is an incredibly big decision for them.
00:03:47.000 This is following the CAS report, as you mentioned.
00:03:49.000 If it were not for this report, if it weren't for this review of the current state of these cross-sex Experimentation in the UK that's concluded that these treatments are on shaky ground, that there really isn't any evidence for these procedures being used, this ban probably would not have happened as quickly as it did.
00:04:10.000 And the first step in stopping this experimentation is, of course, stopping the use of this puberty-locking medication because it is the gateway drug onto the next medications, the cross-sex hormones and, of course, The surgeries.
00:04:27.000 But just banning the blockers is not enough, because likely it'll just lead to kids getting onto the next interventions, just stopping Just avoiding the blockers entirely and going straight on to estrogen for boys or testosterone for girls or getting surgeries as part of their first few interventions.
00:04:48.000 We have to create a blanket ban entirely for any of these because this is never okay to experiment on a child like this.
00:04:58.000 Correct.
00:04:58.000 So let's talk about your experience, Chloe.
00:05:00.000 You've been on these drugs.
00:05:01.000 What did they do to you?
00:05:03.000 What pharmacologically do these toxins do to a young developing body?
00:05:08.000 So the puberty blockers were the first of three interventions that I was on as part of my childhood gender transition.
00:05:15.000 And I was on them for about a year.
00:05:19.000 And me and my mom and dad were told that they would be completely reversible, that they would be negligible in their side effects, and what I experienced from them would be temporary and go away after I stopped taking them.
00:05:33.000 While I was on them, I basically went into an adolescent-onset menopause.
00:05:39.000 I was experiencing symptoms that women really only start to experience once they're in their 40s, 50s, and 60s when I was only 13 years old.
00:05:48.000 So hot flashes, these uncomfortable physical sensations of itching, tingling, uncontrollable sweating.
00:05:55.000 Emotionally, I was very numb while I was on it.
00:05:57.000 And years after I've stopped taking them, I've noticed that I have started to have issues with my joints, with my bones, with my back.
00:06:07.000 I get shooting pains up my spine and in my joints.
00:06:12.000 There is absolutely nothing that is reversible about stopping the only process through which a child can fully develop into adults.
00:06:23.000 I don't know how having been on this drug is going to affect my health in the future.
00:06:30.000 And for a lot of people, that's just the first intervention.
00:06:34.000 Can you speak more about that?
00:06:36.000 The drugs get more severe.
00:06:38.000 That is the initial dosage.
00:06:41.000 And Chloe, how quickly can a minor get puberty blockers in America?
00:06:46.000 How many visits, how many doctors do you have to see before puberty blockers are received?
00:06:51.000 So for me, it only took about half a year between my first therapy appointment and being put On my first injection of puberty blockers.
00:07:03.000 But for some people, it happens as early as after a single appointment, either in person or even just over the phone.
00:07:10.000 And they really are just the first step in this process for children.
00:07:16.000 These doctors are putting children on puberty blockers with the intents of having them go further and further down the line of medical transition, which is exactly why we have to ban the full package.
00:07:28.000 If we just ban blockers, that is not enough to protect our kids.
00:07:33.000 Yeah, and so why is it, do you think, Chloe, that the United States is so far behind Europe on this?
00:07:40.000 I mean, it's quite interesting, right?
00:07:41.000 Because it's these European countries that are very, very left-wing that are creating, that are stopping the usage of these treatments in children.
00:07:53.000 Even though here in the U.S., we are far behind.
00:07:56.000 While we're following the old procedures that were created by these same European countries, and now we're just going all the way forward.
00:08:08.000 Even though these same countries are stopping it because they've seen how these treatments have no basis, how they're negatively affecting the bodies of children.
00:08:19.000 And I believe that a large part of that is How this has become so ideologically powerful here in the United States.
00:08:29.000 I feel like in general here in the U.S., we're a lot more motivated by politics just in general.
00:08:34.000 And the left here in the States has made this into a human rights issue.
00:08:40.000 They've claimed that by not allowing children to undergo these treatments, it's actually subverting their rights to live by themselves, to be happy, to be healthy.
00:08:53.000 And these countries that are stopping the use of these treatments also have socialized healthcare systems, so it's much easier for them to roll back the system.
00:09:06.000 Whereas because we're such a large country, because we have 50 states, because we have a privatized healthcare system, and because we have a privatized healthcare system, it's much, much harder to roll out these bans so universally.
00:09:19.000 President Trump ran and campaigned on forbidding minors from being able to receive this sort of treatment.
00:09:27.000 That is going to be a big fight.
00:09:29.000 It's going to basically include lawsuits and investigations and subpoenas.
00:09:35.000 Chloe, what can the federal government do, if anything in your estimation, to slow this down and fulfill that promise to protect our children?
00:09:45.000 Well, we absolutely need to do an investigation into not only these doctors, but also these hospital systems, these healthcare systems that, without any evidence, are still going hard into using these treatments on our children, taking away their fertility, taking away their health before they are even adults.
00:10:07.000 And of course, we should be holding the politicians Who are still pushing this ideology without any evidence accountable?
00:10:16.000 Because we are not a country that stands for the abuse of children.
00:10:22.000 And that really is the moral, you know, clarion call of our time.
00:10:26.000 Final question, Chloe, how many people are like you that have been massacred, poisoned, destroyed, and castrated by doctors?
00:10:33.000 How many are out there?
00:10:34.000 We might never know.
00:10:35.000 We might never know how many detransitioners or people who have been hurt by the system are out there.
00:10:42.000 But I've probably spoken to hundreds to thousands of detransitioners at this point in passing over the internet or in person.
00:10:51.000 I've met probably about a hundred or so Just within the past few years.
00:10:57.000 And it's like every week I meet a new person either over the internet or even just speaking at a college campus or speaking at a church who has come out the other way from this ideology, from this lifestyle.
00:11:12.000 Chloe, how can people support you and follow you on social media?
00:11:16.000 So I'm active mostly on X and Instagram, but I also have a YouTube channel.
00:11:20.000 And my username on all three social media platforms is the same.
00:11:25.000 You can find me at C-H-O-O-O-C-O-L-E, Chucol.
00:11:30.000 Or you can also find me by looking up clinical.
00:11:32.000 Chloe, you are a courageous person, one of the greats of this country.
00:11:35.000 God bless you.
00:11:36.000 We'll see you again soon.
00:11:37.000 She speaks on our campuses about this horror.
00:11:39.000 Thank you so much.
00:11:40.000 God bless.
00:11:41.000 See you at Amfest.
00:11:45.000 Do you ever have the feeling like you're being surveilled and hesitate to share things of interest via text message or email with your friends and loved ones?
00:11:51.000 Recently outspoken parents at PTA meetings and Catholic Americans have been labeled as domestic terrorists by the FBI.
00:11:57.000 These types of labels can be used to allow the U.S. government to surveil its citizens and others who live abroad without legal due process.
00:12:03.000 Fortunately, the founders of Bunker, BNUKR, created an app to uphold people's rights.

00:12:35.000 Use promo code Kirk to get 25% off.
00:12:38.000 I have to go back through this.
00:12:42.000 It is so incredibly important.
00:12:45.000 So Van Jones is a little bit of a...
00:12:48.000 He's a radical, I guess you could say, which I have nothing against.
00:12:51.000 I'm a radical.
00:12:52.000 It means to the root.
00:12:53.000 I actually think my views are very centrist, but that's a separate topic for a different time.
00:12:59.000 Depends on what you're grading it against.
00:13:00.000 It always begs, by what standard are you?
00:13:03.000 Centrist, right-wing, whatever.
00:13:04.000 Van Jones has been more outspoken and more accurate as to why the left lost than any other person.
00:13:12.000 New media is ascendant.
00:13:14.000 X, Rumble, even TikTok.
00:13:18.000 I think one of the major reasons we were able to win is because of what the team did on TikTok.
00:13:23.000 I really believe it.
00:13:24.000 Ryan, can you send us the analytics from TikTok?
00:13:28.000 I think we're able to speak openly about it now.
00:13:30.000 I mean, it was billions of views of Gen Z straight to them, campus content, pro-American content.
00:13:39.000 You see, the Democrats, they thought everybody watches CNN, everybody watches MSNBC, and even that, when they don't, we're just going to run a bunch of ads and we're going to convince them to be with us.
00:13:47.000 Like, no, no, no, no.
00:13:48.000 Just on our TikTok, our TikTok received 1.7 billion views, 25 million profile views, 136 million likes, 7.3 million comments, and 5.4 million shares.
00:14:05.000 And we only started posting in April.
00:14:07.000 That is not even a full year.
00:14:09.000 And that was Season 1 on TikTok.
00:14:12.000 Season 2 is coming this spring, and it's going to be huge.
00:14:14.000 It's going to be great.
00:14:15.000 It's going to be different, but it'll be similar.
00:14:16.000 It's going to be amazing.
00:14:18.000 Season 2 on campuses across the country.
00:14:21.000 Van Jones stumbles into this reality, and he mentions us by name in this clip.
00:14:27.000 Van Jones...
00:14:29.000 Says Charlie Kirk, Elon Musk.
00:14:30.000 And again, we were so mocked.
00:14:32.000 Can we get those headlines again?
00:14:33.000 I mean, they're worth repeating.
00:14:35.000 Charlie Kirk doesn't know what he's doing.
00:14:36.000 Turning Point doesn't know what they're doing.
00:14:38.000 They're going to stumble over themselves.
00:14:40.000 It turns out that we had the superior plan.
00:14:45.000 We were going to reach your grandkid.
00:14:47.000 We were going to reach your brother.
00:14:49.000 We were going to reach your sister while they're scrolling through TikTok while you're talking about how many doors you're knocking on.
00:14:54.000 Amateur hour.
00:14:56.000 We were the sophisticated professional ones.
00:14:58.000 And again, I say it once, I'll say it twice, I'll say it a hundred times.
00:15:01.000 Credit to Susie Wiles and James Blair and the whole Trump campaign team that was able to orchestrate all this, to allow creators to create, to allow people to go chase ballots, to register voters.
00:15:14.000 Listen intently.
00:15:16.000 This is worth repeating.
00:15:17.000 It is Van Jones talking about how you are the media now.
00:15:22.000 We are the media.
00:15:23.000 This is a profound change.
00:15:25.000 He says something with serious profundity when Van Jones says, The fringe has become the mainstream, and the mainstream has become the fringe.
00:15:37.000 And this is not going to change.
00:15:38.000 I think that's one of the reasons why they want to ban TikTok.
00:15:41.000 Forget all the Chinese stuff.
00:15:42.000 That's for a different topic at a different time.
00:15:45.000 Some of it needs to be cleaned up.
00:15:47.000 Some of it's completely fraudulent.
00:15:48.000 It's just not true.
00:15:49.000 Why do they want to ban TikTok?
00:15:51.000 Because fringe voices like Charlie Kirk were able to get 1.7 billion views on TikTok.
00:15:56.000 That's why.
00:15:58.000 The fringe has become the mainstream.
00:16:00.000 The mainstream has become the fringe.
00:16:01.000 This is at a political science panel.
00:16:04.000 They should have invited me.
00:16:05.000 You know, Andrew, I gotta really put some muscle towards Andrew.
00:16:10.000 Andrew, why did I not get an invite to any of these high society, Harvard, New York Times book deal things?
00:16:16.000 Next cycle, okay, Mikey?
00:16:18.000 We gotta do that.
00:16:19.000 96. And I'm telling you, we are way off.
00:16:23.000 The entire political class is way off.
00:16:27.000 First of all, digital is a new door knocking.
00:16:31.000 You gotta understand that.
00:16:33.000 We were laughing our butts off at Donald Trump for suspending his door knocking campaign and letting Charlie Kirk and Elon do a bunch of stuff online.
00:16:41.000 We said, these guys are idiots.
00:16:42.000 These guys are stupid.
00:16:43.000 Then you start knocking on these doors.
00:16:46.000 You know what people come to the door with?
00:16:47.000 Their phone, in their hand.
00:16:51.000 They're in a 24-hour digital surround sound that has nothing to do with CNN, has nothing to do with any stuff that we do.
00:16:58.000 I ask myself, I got a teenage son, I ask him, who are the most influential people in the world today?
00:17:02.000 I'm thinking to myself, he's going to say Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Jay-Z. He says, Kai Scent, Aiden Ross, Jinxie, and Sketch.
00:17:14.000 I don't know who he's talking about.
00:17:16.000 I said, what platforms are you on?
00:17:18.000 He goes, I'm on Twitch, Kick and Rumble.
00:17:21.000 I said, that sounds like you need to go to the hospital.
00:17:23.000 What are these platforms?
00:17:24.000 I'm telling you guys, the mainstream has become fringe and the fringe has become mainstream.
00:17:31.000 There are platforms, there are people out there that are getting 14 million streams and we're on cable news getting one or two million.
00:17:40.000 And so there is a whole world out there.
00:17:42.000 Kellyanne Conway, I hate to agree with her, but I do a lot of times, Donald Trump understood that and we didn't.
00:17:47.000 And it's not just Democrats that don't.
00:17:51.000 The entire political class is way off, way off, way off.
00:17:55.000 Way off, way off, way off.
00:17:57.000 Well, that's why Donald Trump is planning a transition and you guys are trying to figure out what rumble is.
00:18:05.000 Joining us now is a fierce fighter for liberty, Senator Rand Paul from the great state of Kentucky.
00:18:11.000 Senator, great to see you.
00:18:12.000 Senator, I want to get your reaction to some of President Trump's cabinet picks, Bobby Kennedy and Tulsi Gabbard in particular, to changemakers that are trying to become officials in the cabinet that have to go through the Senate.
00:18:25.000 Senator, your reaction.
00:18:26.000 You know, I'm a big fan of both.
00:18:28.000 I've known Tulsi Gabbard quite a while.
00:18:31.000 I have a big intern program in Washington where I invite all of the interns on Capitol Hill, all the Republicans, all the Democrats, and then I select the speakers.
00:18:40.000 And last year, Tulsi Gabbard was one of the speakers.
00:18:43.000 This is before I knew that the deep state was going after her and actually listing her on some sort of terror watch list.
00:18:50.000 But I think what better person to head the intelligence agencies and root out this kind of bias towards individuals than someone who's actually been abused by the deep state.
00:19:00.000 So I'm a big fan of Tulsi's and I think she'll do a great job.
00:19:04.000 Bobby Kennedy I know well also and I think he will help to reveal the money and the I think deceit and deception that went along with funding the research in Wuhan that led to the pandemic.
00:19:18.000 I'm also a big believer we need to do something about health.
00:19:21.000 One of the things I plan on talking to him about is the idea that food stamps shouldn't cover unhealthy food.
00:19:28.000 I don't think that food stamps should pay for full sugar Coca-Cola, Pepsi, full sugar, anything.
00:19:34.000 Yes.
00:19:34.000 I don't think it should pay for hostess ding-dongs.
00:19:36.000 I don't think the food stamps should pay for bags of candy.
00:19:40.000 So there's all kinds of stuff.
00:19:42.000 If we want people to eat healthier in our country, why don't we quit subsidizing bad food?
00:19:46.000 And I think Bobby Kennedy will be good about that.
00:19:49.000 I agree.
00:19:49.000 And that will also incorporate Brooke Rollins at USDA, because food stamps go through the Department of Agriculture.
00:19:56.000 Senator, that's such a smart point.
00:19:58.000 You think about it, that we are essentially taxpayer subsidizing obesity, which then you as a doctor know, Is a cause set in motion where you have a cascade of interventions that are necessary where then someone is obese, they have type 2 diabetes, they have heart conditions, that then if they are likely getting food stamps then they're also likely on Medicaid.
00:20:18.000 Can you speak to how the welfare state creates a bigger welfare state and how an early intervention of having healthier eating could actually prevent trillions of dollars of taxpayer money down the road?
00:20:29.000 If you actually were to take my bill, which restricts the formula to only healthy food, so the formulary for food stamps would only be healthy food, it could possibly be the most dramatic, healthful change, preventative healthful change in the history of the country.
00:20:46.000 Why do I say that?
00:20:47.000 Because obesity is one of the biggest problems we have in our country, and obesity is much more common and more prevalent among the poor who rely on the government.
00:20:56.000 And so, no, I think this would be an extraordinary change.
00:20:59.000 What people should also know, though, is I've approached several Democrats to co-sponsor the bill, and so far not one Democrat will get close to it, even though I'm not changing the amount of dollars.
00:21:10.000 People would still get the same amount of dollars for food, they just would not be able to buy unhealthy food with it, and yet no Democrat will co-sponsor this.
00:21:18.000 I do think, though, that the presidential branch can change something like the formulary even without legislation.
00:21:24.000 So I think they can do this by themselves.
00:21:27.000 I'll be meeting with Bobby Kennedy sometime in the next week or two to discuss his nomination, and I plan on bringing this up with him.
00:21:34.000 So, Senator, I want to dive a little bit deeper into the Fauci element here.
00:21:37.000 You tweeted something out that caught my eye.
00:21:39.000 Will Biden pardon Fauci?
00:21:41.000 If Fauci is pardoned, it will simply seal his fate as the godfather of the gain-of-function experiments that led to the pandemic.
00:21:47.000 I mean, Senator...
00:21:49.000 That will be one of the most extraordinary preemptive pardons in American history.
00:21:53.000 I mean, you could of course talk about the preemptive pardon of Gerald Ford pardoning Richard Nixon.
00:21:59.000 What do you even make of the point that this is being considered, Senator?
00:22:02.000 We have said for a while that there are crimes against humanity, but this now goes to show that they internally think that crimes might have been committed.
00:22:11.000 Senator.
00:22:12.000 You know, with regard to Hunter Biden, I think the pardon, he escapes punishment.
00:22:16.000 Nobody thought or questioned whether he was guilty.
00:22:19.000 He's already been, you know, adjudicated as guilty.
00:22:21.000 So no one really doubted that.
00:22:23.000 The pardon saves him prison time.
00:22:25.000 With Anthony Fauci, there's still some of the establishment that laud and glorify him despite the evidence.
00:22:32.000 The acceptance of that And it will be, I think, without a doubt, he will be recorded in history as the godfather, the author, the person who gave his imprimatur, his approval to funding this dangerous research in China that led to the lab leak, which led to the pandemic.
00:22:54.000 So I think the pandemic seals his fate.
00:22:57.000 I mean, the pardon would seal his fate.
00:22:59.000 I hope it doesn't happen.
00:23:01.000 I've referred to Anthony Fauci twice.
00:23:03.000 With criminal referrals to the Department of Justice, but unfortunately Merrick Garland, who I think is the most partisan Attorney General we've ever had, has ignored those referrals.
00:23:12.000 But as soon as there's a new Attorney General, I plan on sending my criminal referral.
00:23:17.000 And interestingly, my referral is not me making an accusation.
00:23:20.000 The accusation is actually made by Anthony Fauci because he says one thing in the Senate hearing, but he says another thing in private emails.
00:23:28.000 His own email indicts him as a liar during the committee hearings.
00:23:33.000 And I think that's pretty strong evidence when his own words actually prove that he lied to Congress, which is a felony.
00:23:40.000 I think that's really smart, Senator.
00:23:42.000 I think incoming Attorney General, potentially Pam Bondi, if she gets the support of Senators, it looks strong.
00:23:48.000 That would be a phenomenal thing to pick up.
00:23:50.000 Lying in front of Congress, which remember, they did to Michael Cohen and they've done to many other people on the right.
00:23:56.000 There's not without precedent of going after a line.
00:23:58.000 But understand this.
00:23:59.000 This is a very important thing.
00:24:00.000 It's one thing if Michael Cohen lies to Congress, not good.
00:24:03.000 This guy was in charge of the public health decisions and with it, the livelihoods of hundreds of millions of people.
00:24:10.000 That should be a much higher standard.
00:24:12.000 When he lies, that is the well-being and liberty.
00:24:16.000 He held hostage the liberty of an entire civilization.
00:24:22.000 Hey everybody, Charlie Kirk here.

00:25:18.000 Promo code Kirk.
00:25:21.000 I know that this will require some speculation, Senator, but indulge me.
00:25:24.000 What other areas of investigation should we look at when it comes to Anthony Fauci that you know of?
00:25:30.000 You've been on this better than anybody else and you deserve such credit.
00:25:33.000 You're a doctor yourself.
00:25:34.000 If we were to say that we had a special division of the Department of Justice for COVID justice, what would we look after?
00:25:42.000 The criminal referral in his case is for lying to Congress, which is a felony.
00:25:45.000 But even just as important or more important is the idea of covering up.
00:25:50.000 So destruction of public records, covering up, evading Freedom of Information Act, evading congressional oversight, requesting records.
00:26:00.000 I've tried for three years to get the decision making.
00:26:03.000 So what happened is there was a safety committee created in 2017. Dangerous gain-of-function research was supposed to go through this safety committee, and yet it didn't.
00:26:15.000 It never got there.
00:26:15.000 And Anthony Fauci says, well, I deemed it not to be dangerous, so it didn't have to go to the safety committee.
00:26:21.000 And my response is, well, if you did, upon what advice?
00:26:25.000 He says, oh, my scientists told me it wasn't gain-of-function research.
00:26:30.000 It wasn't dangerous.
00:26:31.000 I said, show me the deliberation.
00:26:34.000 But steadfastly, the NIH, at his direction, and even with him gone, his fellow members of this cover-up continue to prevent me from seeing these records.
00:26:47.000 So I'm excited about a couple of other appointments, Marty McCary at FDA and Jay Bhattachary at NIH. I haven't talked to them recently about this, but I've talked to them through the years.
00:26:58.000 I think they are anxious, not only to make sure that this never happens again, but also to see if there are people still in positions of power at the NIH who are part of the cover-up.
00:27:10.000 I believe we will find them.
00:27:12.000 Unless they have destroyed the records, I believe we will find them.
00:27:15.000 Every day we're finding something new, but every day they resist us.
00:27:19.000 So the level of resistance Which actually is greater than the level of resistance we've gotten from the CIA. NIH has been harder to deal with than the CIA, but the level of the resistance, I believe there is something there that is going to be profound, important, damning, and ultimately there's going to be more people that are going to be culpable in this cover-up.
00:27:41.000 Senator, I want to now talk about the Department of Government Efficiency.
00:27:45.000 This is something you've been leading on for quite some time, talking about the waste and the abuse.
00:27:51.000 You've famously tweeted out some of these stories.
00:27:55.000 What do you make of the Department of Government Efficiency?
00:27:57.000 And what public and private advice do you have for Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy as they endeavor on this monstrous task to identify waste and then eliminate it?
00:28:09.000 You know, I'm a big fan of the project.
00:28:11.000 I've talked with Vivek several times.
00:28:13.000 I've known him for a few years now.
00:28:16.000 And I think that they will find the waste.
00:28:19.000 We gave them 2,000 pages to get them started.
00:28:22.000 2,000 pages of waste that they can immediately look at.
00:28:26.000 There's a couple ways that you can get rid of waste.
00:28:29.000 If the federal government doesn't spend the money, they can simply send it back to Congress as something that's called rescission.
00:28:36.000 Rescission is a special legislative vehicle that gets immediately taken up by Congress, and it only takes a simple majority.
00:28:46.000 So we could actually cut significant dollars with only Republican votes.
00:28:50.000 That is something that I think can and should be done.
00:28:54.000 On the regulatory front, I think most regulations can be modified or undone simply at the whim of the executive branch.
00:29:01.000 So he needs to, and they should, immediately start rewriting regulations.
00:29:05.000 One of the ones that I think they will do on day one is that you can't apply for asylum if you're in a safe country.
00:29:12.000 So what President Trump did the last time is that people in Mexico weren't being tortured in Mexico.
00:29:18.000 They were claiming they were being abused in Venezuela or some other country.
00:29:22.000 So they simply wrote a regulation that said you can't apply.
00:29:26.000 If you're in a safe country, you have to apply for the safe country.
00:29:29.000 So that was sort of part of Remain in Mexico.
00:29:32.000 I think they can go even further this time through the regulatory apparatus of simply saying that you will not be eligible for any claim of political asylum or any adjudication or any appeal if you come in illegally.
00:29:46.000 So all these people coming across the river to my mind can be turned around and put back on the other side.
00:29:52.000 No trial, no appeals, no sending them off to the Roosevelt Hotel in New York, no transferring them around the country like the killer of Lake and Riley.
00:30:02.000 They should be turned around immediately at the border.
00:30:05.000 I think that the president has that power by statute, and we should exercise it.
00:30:10.000 Senator, you deserve credit for a lifelong of work and over a decade of service in the Senate, making the courageous arguments on waste across government.
00:30:21.000 And really, Doge, I think, is a culmination of your efforts for us to identify and hopefully be able to eliminate this waste and roles of things that government should not be involved in at all.
00:30:32.000 Senator Paul, you've been warning about getting involved in Middle East quagmires for quite some time.
00:30:37.000 The Syria one is no exception.
00:30:39.000 Some people are celebrating the fall of Bashar al-Assad.
00:30:43.000 Assad's a bad guy.
00:30:44.000 You have to be morally clear on that.
00:30:46.000 However, when a dictator falls, something even worse sometimes follows.
00:30:50.000 How should we think about the situation in Syria?
00:30:52.000 I think most people are confused.
00:30:54.000 You know, are good guys winning or bad guys winning?
00:30:57.000 The people who took over the government are a jihadist group that as recently as last year or the year before were called al-Nusra, that had been associated with al-Qaeda for some time.
00:31:09.000 I think their success came because they were pushed in by Turkey.
00:31:12.000 So Turkey is going to be a big winner here.
00:31:15.000 But they also are enemies to the Syrian Kurds that fought with U.S. troops against ISIS. There is some question.
00:31:23.000 Will they cooperate with these people?
00:31:25.000 Will they eliminate the Kurds?
00:31:26.000 Will they free the ISIS fighters that are held in a camp in Syria?
00:31:31.000 As far as Assad goes, of course he was a dictator.
00:31:35.000 But Christians were protected in this country and have been for a long time.
00:31:40.000 They were a minority that were protected.
00:31:42.000 What will happen to Christians now?
00:31:45.000 So Donald Trump tweeted out the other day, not our fight.
00:31:48.000 And I tweeted out, in agreement, We've had 900 troops scattered throughout eastern Syria for really since the last Trump administration.
00:31:57.000 Because as you'll recall, when Trump began moving them around, Liz Cheney and the other chicken hawks, Adam Kinzinger and the other never-Trumpers, tried to pass a law saying that the president, Donald Trump, didn't have the right to move troops around.
00:32:12.000 One of the most unconstitutional, egg-headed sort of proposals to come around in a long time.
00:32:18.000 So I'm encouraging President Trump, when he comes in, not to listen to the Liz Cheneys, not to listen to the chicken hawks, and to move those troops out as soon as possible, because I think they're a target for terrorists.
00:32:31.000 Terrorists in the region love nothing more than to kill an American, and they would drag us in.
00:32:37.000 But 900 soldiers are not enough to be a deterrent.
00:32:40.000 They're more of a target than they are a deterrent.
00:32:43.000 I've said recently that 900 soldiers couldn't organize a parade in New York City.
00:32:48.000 This is not enough soldiers to be militarily effective, and they should be removed immediately.
00:32:55.000 So I'll continue to advocate for that.
00:32:57.000 But this is a very messy civil war with no clear-cut freedom fighters or people who would defend the right to practice your religion.
00:33:05.000 And in that case, I'm with Donald Trump.
00:33:07.000 It's not our fight.
00:33:08.000 Not our fight at all.
00:33:09.000 Senator, when pressed, what does the military machinery say is the justification for those 900 soldiers?
00:33:18.000 It's a remarkable thing.
00:33:20.000 What do they say?
00:33:21.000 What is their best argument?
00:33:22.000 The reports that are coming out recently, public reports, are saying, oh, they're there to keep the ISIS fighters bottled up in prison should they break out.
00:33:32.000 Initially, they were there towards the end of the war with ISIS until ISIS was contained.
00:33:39.000 They were part of advising and fighting with the Kurds.
00:33:43.000 The Kurds now control the garrison up there, and apparently there are a significant number of prisoners there.
00:33:49.000 But I'm not sure 900 is enough to contain them if they were all freed.
00:33:53.000 If the rebels that are now supported by the Turks decide to tangle with the Kurds, which is not out of the realm of possibilities because the Turks don't like the Kurds at all, if that should happen and the prison opens, I think our 900 troops are going to be at risk.
00:34:11.000 But I don't think 900 troops is enough.
00:34:13.000 And at that point, You already have the sort of neocon leaning members of the Senate already advocating for more troops, not less.
00:34:21.000 And this is the tug of war that happened in the first Trump administration.
00:34:25.000 You had people like John Bolton, who turned out to be a never-Trumper, to be disloyal, and to be really just a reprehensible person.
00:34:33.000 Unfortunately, it was picked to be part of the administration.
00:34:35.000 And so I would advocate to pull the troops from Syria, and John Bolton would be there in the White House advocating the opposite.
00:34:42.000 So far I'm encouraged and I'm hopeful that the foreign policy team around Trump will be more in line with Donald Trump's thinking and not opposing him.
00:34:50.000 But it is an important battle that happens as the administration unfolds and I will continue to try to be as loud a voice as I can about removing our troops from Syria because I don't think they're making us more safe.
00:35:04.000 Senator, thank you so much.
00:35:05.000 I know you gotta dash.
00:35:06.000 Keep fighting for liberty and keep fighting to prevent these stupid wars.
00:35:10.000 Thank you so much, Senator.
00:35:11.000 Thank you.
