00:02:59.000 A good man is running for Senate leader, hopefully Senate majority leader, and I support him 100%.
00:03:07.000 And I am endorsing him for Senate Majority Leader.
00:03:11.000 It is Senator Rick Scott from Florida.
00:03:13.000 He is terrific.
00:03:13.000 Senator, welcome to the program.
00:03:15.000 Tell us about your announcement running for Senate leader.
00:03:17.000 Well, Charlie, first off, thank you for your support.
00:03:20.000 Thank you for your endorsement.
00:03:21.000 I hope you're getting some sleep with your second child.
00:03:25.000 Not a lot.
00:03:27.000 It's a lot easier to be than grandparents.
00:03:30.000 So look, we've got to have big change.
00:03:32.000 Let's just look.
00:03:33.000 We've got a fixture-upper for our country right now.
00:03:35.000 We've got almost $35 trillion of debt.
00:03:37.000 We've got an open border.
00:03:38.000 We've got a horrible foreign policy.
00:03:40.000 We've got a federal government that's completely out of control.
00:03:43.000 We need to have a sea change.
00:03:46.000 I'm a turnaround guy.
00:03:47.000 That's what I did in business.
00:03:48.000 I bought failing businesses.
00:03:50.000 I fixed them up.
00:03:51.000 I became governor back in January 2011 in Florida.
00:03:54.000 Florida was in financial distress at the time.
00:03:57.000 I turned the state around with a lot of other help, not just me, but we did it together.
00:04:01.000 We need to do the same thing at the federal level.
00:04:03.000 President Trump's going to win.
00:04:05.000 He needs a partner in the Senate that says we need a sea change.
00:04:09.000 We need to have conservative policies.
00:04:11.000 They're actually going to get implemented rather than been blocked by people that don't want to do it.
00:04:16.000 Yeah.
00:04:16.000 And this sort of business as usual is destroying the country.
00:04:22.000 And so what in particular will you do as Senate leader?
00:04:25.000 Not necessarily from a policy perspective, because your ideas are terrific, but from a business standpoint.
00:04:32.000 Will you do these omnibus things if you are Senate majority leader?
00:04:35.000 How will you change the actual business of the Senate?
00:04:39.000 Well, Charlie, I was very specific in the letter I sent to all my colleagues, and you can get it online.
00:04:44.000 So here's one, first off, I think we've got to have term limits for the leader.
00:04:50.000 So nobody should have power that long.
00:04:53.000 That's number one.
00:04:53.000 Number two is we've got to make sure that we don't have continuing resolutions on omnibuses.
00:04:59.000 Now, the only way that's going to happen is if we actually have an appropriations process and we force to go through that.
00:05:08.000 We've got to do that.
00:05:09.000 Because what happens right now is the McConnell-Schumer guys, what they do is they say, oh, we worked really hard.
00:05:17.000 We couldn't get it done.
00:05:19.000 So let's do a continuing resolution.
00:05:21.000 Then we'll do this omnibus right before Christmas when you don't want to shut down government right before Christmas, right?
00:05:26.000 So that's going to stop.
00:05:27.000 We're going to have a real appropriations process, go through the budget.
00:05:30.000 We can balance this budget.
00:05:32.000 And we've got to get people back to work to do it, but we can do it.
00:05:35.000 Number three is I want bills not to be decided by Schumer and McConnell, but be decided by committees and with a robust amendment.
00:05:44.000 Because what Schumer and McConnell have been doing up here is they will, oh, they'll decide the bill and then they'll put it on the Senate floor and we don't get the amendment vote.
00:05:52.000 So all you get to do is say yes or no.
00:05:54.000 Well, then why am I here?
00:05:56.000 I get no vote.
00:05:58.000 And as you know, it takes 60 votes up here.
00:06:00.000 What's been happening is all the Democrats vote together and then nine to 15 Republicans vote with them.
00:06:06.000 So all of Biden's bad policies are getting implemented.
00:06:09.000 That's got to stop.
00:06:10.000 Yes, it has to stop.
00:06:11.000 Absolutely.
00:06:12.000 Can you talk about how you would run the Senate from a committee chair process, not one that is rooted in revenge, but one that is anchored in expertise?
00:06:23.000 You have an amazing story about this, how you lost some committee positions because you dared to challenge McConnell.
00:06:31.000 Now, Charlie, put this in perspective.
00:06:34.000 I don't think anybody has ever been a U.S. senator that ran as big a company as I ran.
00:06:40.000 I ran a company with 285,000 employees.
00:06:43.000 I think I was the seventh U.S. employer at the time.
00:06:45.000 And so I ran against McConnell at the end of the 22 cycle.
00:06:48.000 Unfortunately, we didn't win.
00:06:50.000 So Mike Lee, who is the one that sponsored me and nominated me, he and I got kicked off commerce, even though we had done probably 80% of the amendment votes on the Republican side for the prior four years.
00:07:06.000 So what we ought to be doing on committees is saying, okay, so if you're going to be, if whatever the committee, do what, one, what's your expertise and what's your interest?
00:07:16.000 Now, even though that's what we are doing on the committee, but even though even after that, you need to have a robust amendment process.
00:07:24.000 So every U.S. senator has the opportunity to say, you know what?
00:07:27.000 I disagree with that for my state.
00:07:30.000 Now, I'm going to have to talk a majority of you into my way of thinking, but give me a shot at that.
00:07:35.000 So I think what we've got to do is we got a lot of talented people up here.
00:07:40.000 Let's use their talent to get the best policy.
00:07:44.000 But let's remember, we have a fixer-upper.
00:07:47.000 We've got to start paying down our debt.
00:07:49.000 We've got to balance our budget.
00:07:51.000 Our military is not hitting recruiting numbers and it's not hitting readiness numbers.
00:07:56.000 That is scary for all of us.
00:07:59.000 We got the DOJ, we got FBI, we got IRS that have been weaponized.
00:08:03.000 That has got to change.
00:08:05.000 We're supposed to be the oversight of the executive branch.
00:08:07.000 We need to be the oversight of the executive branch.
00:08:10.000 That's exactly right.
00:08:12.000 And under the current regime, Senator McConnell seems to allocate money more towards races where he thinks he can get votes rather than majorities.
00:08:22.000 If you were to become Senate majority leader, with that comes the control or the passive control of a super PAC and the ability to raise a ton of money, which you're doing, how would you engage in these sort of races?
00:08:36.000 Because it seems that McConnell is more interested in protecting his allies and friends than actually building a sustainable Senate majority.
00:08:44.000 Well, you know, if you're the Republican leader or Democrat leader, you're able to raise more money.
00:08:51.000 So that gives you the opportunity because of those titles that you can raise money to help make sure Republicans win.
00:08:57.000 What I personally believe is we ought to let Republican primaries happen.
00:09:01.000 So Washington, D.C. is not picking our candidates because historically what they've wanted, they've wanted the candidates that will just go along with leadership.
00:09:10.000 I don't think that's the right thing to do.
00:09:11.000 And then as the money were raised, we should be helping all Republicans win.
00:09:16.000 So we shouldn't say, oh, well, this one is going to vote for me.
00:09:20.000 This one's going to be easier to work with.
00:09:22.000 No, we should say, we want to win the maximum number of Republican votes so we can control the destiny of this country.
00:09:29.000 In the case of what's going to happen over the next few years, Donald Trump is going to be the president.
00:09:34.000 He's going to need a partner as leader in the Senate to say his policies are going to get implemented.
00:09:43.000 That's right.
00:09:44.000 Let's talk about that in closing here, Senator.
00:09:46.000 What policies in particular would you lead?
00:09:48.000 And I know you have a platform and a plan that you've put together, which is really great.
00:09:52.000 What policies should the Senate now start to own and bring to the American people?
00:09:58.000 Because we have races we can win in Arizona.
00:10:00.000 Kerry Lake can win in Arizona.
00:10:01.000 We can win in Nevada.
00:10:02.000 Hopefully we flip Montana.
00:10:04.000 Hopefully we flip Ohio with Bernie Moreno.
00:10:06.000 We're going to flip West Virginia.
00:10:08.000 We might even be able to flip Maryland.
00:10:11.000 What agenda items do you think candidates need to bring to the American people to show the argument to make the Senate go red?
00:10:17.000 So number one, we've got to start fighting for something, right?
00:10:21.000 So what do people want right now?
00:10:23.000 They want a secure border, all right?
00:10:25.000 Because they don't want another 76,000 people dying of fentanyl next year.
00:10:29.000 They don't want more criminals.
00:10:30.000 They don't want more terrorists.
00:10:31.000 So number one is secure the border.
00:10:33.000 Number two is they know we have to balance the budget so we can get inflation under control because it's devastating families with grocery prices up and car prices and home prices.
00:10:43.000 Everything is growing.
00:10:44.000 Number three, we've got to work to do everything we can to make sure the world is safe and our freedoms are protected.
00:10:52.000 That means we have to have a military that we're scared to death of.
00:10:57.000 That doesn't mean you have to spend a fortune.
00:10:59.000 What that means, you have to have the strongest military you can and most lethal.
00:11:03.000 And no one and put yourself in a position where no one wants to question our authority.
00:11:09.000 Senator, we are behind you 100%.

00:12:32.000 Yesterday, Rishi Sunik, who is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, had an announcement, play cut 125.
00:12:41.000 Now it's the moment for Britain to choose its future, to decide whether we want to build on the progress we have made or risk going back to square one with no plan and no certainty.
00:12:53.000 Earlier today, I spoke with His Majesty the King to request the dissolution of Parliament.
00:12:58.000 The King has granted this request, and we will have a general election on the 4th of July.
00:13:04.000 Now, the 4th of July, that's quite an interesting date.
00:13:06.000 They don't honor the 4th of July in the United Kingdom, obviously.
00:13:11.000 So he's allegedly the conservative leader.
00:13:15.000 Now, the Conservatives in the UK are not actually conservatives.
00:13:21.000 They're more like Hillary Clinton Democrats.
00:13:24.000 Labor, which are actually more like Bernie Sanders socialists, Jeremy Corbyn types, they are poised to have a major victory.
00:13:32.000 And this is basically Rishi saying, I'm done, crying, uncle.
00:13:36.000 What is the lesson here?
00:13:38.000 The lesson is that if you do not stand and fight for conservative values, that your vote, when your voters give you political power, you're going to be displaced from power.
00:13:51.000 There are huge parts of London that resemble a foreign country.
00:13:55.000 The city council member from Leeds chanting Alu Akbar, play cut 68.
00:14:05.000 We will raise the voice of Custer!
00:14:14.000 You know, when I think of someone from Britain, I think of a guy screaming in the sky saying, Alu Akbar.
00:14:20.000 Boris Johnson was one of the worst COVID leaders, huge lockdowns, but even he himself did not obey them.
00:14:29.000 The worst combination of tyranny and hypocrisy.
00:14:32.000 Let this be a warning to the American Republican Party.
00:14:37.000 If we do not stand and fight, if we do not fulfill the mandate of our voters, we can be displaced from power.
00:14:46.000 If we don't fight on the issues that might be somewhat controversial, if we govern as Democrat light, then voters will have no reason to vote for us and will instead give political power back to Democrats or, in this case, in Labor.
00:15:01.000 What have conservatives actually conserved in the United Kingdom?
00:15:04.000 British Conservatives didn't defend free speech.
00:15:06.000 They didn't defend English identity and English liberties.
00:15:09.000 They didn't slow down immigration and didn't even bring prosperity.
00:15:13.000 And sadly, they did not even fulfill the gift given to them by Nigel Farage, which was Brexit in 2019.
00:15:21.000 They turned their back on Brexit.
00:15:22.000 They slowed it down.
00:15:23.000 They did everything they could to eliminate it.
00:15:27.000 And now, UK Conservatives are going to pay a very heavy price.
00:15:33.000 What does that mean for our conservative movement and our Republican Party?
00:15:38.000 It's a warning sign.
00:15:41.000 Our Republican Party is growing.
00:15:46.000 Winning elections is not the hardest part.
00:15:49.000 Governing can be even harder than winning elections.
00:15:52.000 We control a lot in this country.
00:15:54.000 We control a lot of governor's mansions, a lot of AG's offices.
00:15:58.000 We control a lot of state legislature.
00:16:01.000 But if you do not use the political power that your voters give you, then you will be displaced and you'll get something hyper-radical in its place.
00:16:11.000 This is why Rick Scott, running for Senate Majority Leader, is so critical and so important.
00:16:16.000 Not just governing as Democrat-light, but putting forward a different agenda, saying that we want people to own homes, have children, get married.
00:16:27.000 In the United Kingdom, they've had mass migration.
00:16:30.000 They don't even try to count them, and they certainly do not try to deport them.
00:16:34.000 A new economic study in the United Kingdom found that migrants aren't growing the British economy.
00:16:39.000 They're just driving up housing prices.
00:16:42.000 This is one of the reasons why Mike Johnson has been such a disappointment.
00:16:45.000 Mike Johnson, as Speaker of the House, has been much closer to a UK conservative like Rishi Sunik than an actual conservative for our country.
00:16:57.000 It is hard to be a conservative because you are up against relentless parasites that want to take over the body politic and consume the government.
00:17:06.000 It is difficult to be the guy that says, no, no, we are going to cut spending.
00:17:13.000 It's easy to be a progressive.
00:17:15.000 You come up with a wacky idea that you can't pay for, steal from your children, finance it, and call that progress.
00:17:22.000 That's easy.
00:17:23.000 It takes courage, a backbone, a spine, fortitude.
00:17:28.000 It takes a resolute spirit to be a conservative.
00:17:33.000 And the UK conservatives have governed for 14 years, and now they're going to give the power back to labor.
00:17:39.000 And if you think that Britain is a hellhole now and is descending, wait till labor takes over.
00:17:44.000 But honestly, the conservatives did it to themselves because they were not conservative at all.
00:17:50.000 They were just labor-like.
00:17:54.000 Debt, it keeps you tossing and turning at night.
00:17:56.000 You can't get away from it.
00:17:58.000 But the truth is, the system is designed to trap you in debt.
00:18:01.000 Insanely high interest rate credit cards and loans make it nearly impossible to pay off your debt.
00:18:06.000 There's a new way out of the debt trap: pivotal debt solutions.
00:18:10.000 Pivotal debt solutions isn't like the old school debt relief companies that string your debt out for years.

00:18:49.000 Joining us now is Nick Searcy, who is a legend in Hollywood.
00:18:54.000 Nick, welcome to the program.
00:18:56.000 Tell us about your book that is coming out.
00:18:59.000 I also want to talk about the movie as well.
00:19:00.000 So tell us all about it.
00:19:02.000 Thanks, Charlie.
00:19:03.000 It's nice to see you again.
00:19:05.000 Yeah, the book is called Justify This.
00:19:07.000 It's not as political as some of my movies, some of my documentaries, but it's more or less a movie about my career and how I got started, how I became an actor.
00:19:18.000 Little boy in North Carolina didn't know anybody who had ever been an actor.
00:19:22.000 And it's sort of about that.
00:19:24.000 And there's a lot of things along the way.
00:19:26.000 There's a story of our adopting our son out of foster care, which is a very interesting part of the book.
00:19:32.000 And it's more or less a book about my life.
00:19:36.000 Well, that's terrific.
00:19:37.000 And so tell us about your life.
00:19:38.000 I mean, you've lived a full life and you've played some amazing characters throughout the years and you're very much in Hollywood.
00:19:45.000 Tell us all about it.
00:19:47.000 Well, the joke I always tell is that, you know, I started out, my big break was Fried Green Tomatoes, where I played like the wife beating husband and Klansman.
00:19:57.000 I was the terrible, I was the guy that got cooked and eaten.
00:20:01.000 So that kind of got my career started.
00:20:03.000 But, you know, after that, there was an awful lot of wife beaters and Klansmen.
00:20:07.000 And so I've played a lot of serial killers and Klansmen and wife beaters and sexual harassers and rapists.
00:20:14.000 I mean, let's face it, I've played a lot of Democrats.
00:20:17.000 So that's how I've made my living.
00:20:21.000 But I've also been able to, you know, have some fun along the way, play some good guys here and there.
00:20:27.000 And I've just, I've been very fortunate, Charlie.
00:20:31.000 That's really what I hope I convey that in the book.
00:20:34.000 I have really lived a very blessed life and God has led me to do some things that I didn't know I was going to do.
00:20:43.000 And I feel very fortunate.
00:20:47.000 The book is Justify This, A Career Without Compromise.
00:20:51.000 I also want to talk about the movie that is coming out here, The War on Truth.
00:20:56.000 Let's play Cut 126.
00:21:01.000 Caudal!
00:21:02.000 Caudal!
00:21:03.000 Let me through, I got a knife.
00:21:04.000 We have not to date seen any evidence of anarchist violent extremists or people subscribing to Antifa.
00:21:12.000 This guy is not just undercover, okay?
00:21:15.000 He is committing violence.
00:21:17.000 Everybody that was on the ground on Jesus, police officers and demonstrators alike, were all set up.
00:21:23.000 They have this mystery story that we're some kind of domestic terrorist group.
00:21:28.000 Why are you going to prison for eight months?
00:21:29.000 For my documentation of January 6th, they're being punished as criminals.
00:21:34.000 When the United States government comes at you with everything they have, it can be very intimidating.
00:21:39.000 They're trying to instill fear.
00:21:41.000 This is intimidation.
00:21:42.000 Just like the Gestapo.
00:21:46.000 This was not a no-knock warrant.
00:21:48.000 I could have killed somebody because they didn't identify themselves.
00:21:52.000 On May 17th, the truth fights back.
00:21:59.000 So, Nick, tell us all about this film.
00:22:01.000 Well, this film continues the story of the lies about January 6th.
00:22:06.000 I made a film in 2021 called Capital Punishment, and this film continues that story.
00:22:12.000 And the most striking thing about this film and the thing that I'm proudest of is that we show you who these people are, who these people actually are, that Joe Biden and the media and the Democrat complex has been vilifying and demonizing for the past three years, calling them white supremacists and domestic terrorists.
00:22:34.000 These are the most decent people you can find in your neighborhood.
00:22:38.000 The people they are going after are people who believe in the Constitution, people who believe in God, people with whom you would trust your pets or your children if you were out of town.
00:22:47.000 And they are trying to destroy these people simply because they protested the election and they don't believe that Joe Biden is a legitimate president.
00:22:56.000 So I think it's a movie that everyone should see, no matter what side of the issue you're on, no matter how you feel about Donald Trump.
00:23:07.000 I don't think anybody can look at this movie fairly and think that these people, what's happening to these people is justice.
00:23:16.000 It's a political persecution.
00:23:18.000 So let me ask you, there's been some debate and we had an FBI, a former FBI agent on our program yesterday.
00:23:23.000 And he says that the FBI is full of mostly good people.
00:23:27.000 In that trailer, he says they're comparing them to the Gestapo.
00:23:31.000 Can you help make that argument in that case?
00:23:33.000 I agree with that.
00:23:35.000 What evidence can you support through this film that shows that the FBI is operating close to Stalin's private guard?
00:23:43.000 Well, we have interviews in the film with Steve Friend and Kyle Seraphin, both of whom former FBI agents.
00:23:50.000 Steve Friend was taken off his job on a task force investigating child trafficking and moved to investigating grandmothers who stuck their heads in the Capitol building on January 6th.
00:24:04.000 And what's happening to the FBI is that they are being incentivized to go after these people on January 6th.
00:24:13.000 The funding is increased.
00:24:15.000 They have like a, it's almost like a domestic terrorism quota.
00:24:19.000 And if they fill that quota, then you're going to get more funding for your office.
00:24:23.000 So they are actually going out and trying to find these people, just like Stalin's KGB was like given a, you know, go out and find a certain number of dissidents and punish them.
00:24:35.000 And that's what's going on in this country too.
00:24:37.000 The FBI may be filled with some good people, but a lot of them are just obeying orders because they're being told what to do.
00:24:45.000 They're being told, there's the enemy, that grandmother there who walked into the Capitol on January 6th, you need to treat her like a terrorist.
00:24:53.000 And that's what they're doing.
00:24:55.000 So yeah, I want to dive into that.
00:24:56.000 I'm so glad you said that.
00:24:58.000 Just obeying orders from doing this film and your research.
00:25:02.000 Do you think that's an okay excuse?
00:25:03.000 Is that an acceptable excuse from someone who swore an oath to the U.S. Constitution where they say, I'm just obeying orders.
00:25:10.000 I want to make sure I keep my pension and my salary.
00:25:13.000 Do you believe that we should accept that as an excuse?
00:25:16.000 Absolutely not.
00:25:17.000 And Garrett O'Boyle, another FBI agent in our film, he's paid a price for standing up for what he believes.
00:25:24.000 Steve Friend has paid a price.
00:25:25.000 Kyle Seraphin has paid a price.
00:25:27.000 That's not an excuse.
00:25:29.000 It's the same thing that I encounter in Hollywood when I, you know, a lot of actor friends of mine, people that you would know by face, if not by name, they come up to me and say, you know, I agree with a lot of what you're doing, but I would never say that out loud because I know it would hurt my career.
00:25:46.000 I go, well, what good is it to save your career if you lose your country?
00:25:50.000 I mean, you know, you got to stand up at some point.
00:25:54.000 You're going to have to stand up sooner or later.
00:25:57.000 You might as well do it now.
00:25:58.000 No, I completely agree with that.
00:26:00.000 And I guess pensions matter more than your country, I suppose, because when you are told, can you just kind of go through some of the more egregious examples?
00:26:08.000 I mean, the FBI comes in full force with SWAT teams for nonviolent offenders that set a prayer in the Capitol.
00:26:17.000 Is that right?
00:26:19.000 Right.
00:26:19.000 One of the most egregious examples in our movie is Chris and Annette Keene.
00:26:26.000 Chris Keene was the guy who gave the orders at Reagan's funeral, at Ronald Reagan's funeral, the 21-gun salute.
00:26:36.000 He was the one that gave the fire order.
00:26:38.000 He's an American hero.
00:26:39.000 He was there on January 6th.
00:26:41.000 They break down his door at 6 a.m., freezing cold, Kansas City.
00:26:48.000 And the terror of that day caused his wife to have a miscarriage.
00:26:53.000 They had, you know, the red dots of the rifles that they were on their little boy.
00:26:59.000 I mean, this is terrorization.
00:27:02.000 This is not necessary.
00:27:04.000 Chris is the kind of person that if you really had some problem with him or something that he had done wrong on that day, some trespassing charge is what he was charged with, you would call him on the phone and say, we'd like to talk to you.
00:27:17.000 But instead, they send these terrorizing raids into their neighborhood, make them a pariah in the neighborhood.
00:27:24.000 Everybody, all their neighbors think those must be horrible people.
00:27:27.000 Look at how the police are treating them.
00:27:29.000 This is all done deliberately.
00:27:31.000 It's all done to scare and intimidate and to send a message to everyone else, not just the people that they're persecuting, but send a message to everyone else.
00:27:39.000 This is what will happen to you if you resist us.
00:27:43.000 So what are you hearing is coming next?
00:27:44.000 Are they still coming after more January 6ers?
00:27:47.000 Absolutely.
00:27:48.000 Matthew Graves, the DOA, DOA, the District Attorney in the District of Columbia, he says we're going to arrest 1,000 more people this year.
00:27:56.000 He says in our movie, we have footage of it.
00:27:59.000 He says we're going to start going after people who never went in the building because even just standing around the Capitol building, they were in a restricted area.
00:28:08.000 As you'll see in our movie, all the signs that said it was a restricted area were taken down by operatives before the crowd moved from Trump's speech to the Capitol building.
00:28:18.000 So no one knew they were in a restricted area.
00:28:20.000 This is all entrapment.
00:28:21.000 It's all a setup.
00:28:22.000 And they are not stopping.
00:28:24.000 They are doubling down on the lives and they are going to arrest more people.
00:28:28.000 They've arrested more people already this year for January 6th than they arrested last year.
00:28:34.000 And meanwhile, our border is completely wide open and our law enforcement is being inverted against the citizenry.
00:28:42.000 But I'm told they're all great people.
00:28:47.000 You might have heard Mike Lindell and MyPillow no longer have the support of their box stores or shopping channels the way they used to.
00:28:53.000 They've been part of this cancel culture, so they want to pass the savings directly on to you by having a $25 extravaganza.

00:29:40.000 Promo code Kirk.
00:29:44.000 In your movie, which is very important, The War on Truth, spending time amongst these January 6th defendants and their families, do you feel their resolve weakening or do you feel as if they are more committed to fight for truth?
00:29:57.000 What is your takeaway?
00:29:58.000 The thing that I took away from this was that meeting these people were some of the strongest people I've ever met, some of the most faithful people, people who live their faith.
00:30:09.000 And in many cases, I mean, J.D. Rivera is a man who's profiled in this movie.
00:30:14.000 He was sent to prison for eight months for trespassing.
00:30:18.000 He filmed every move that he made inside the Capitol, never touched anything.
00:30:22.000 All he did was film.
00:30:24.000 He was acting as a journalist that day, went to prison for eight months, had to say goodbye to his family.
00:30:30.000 And when I talked to him about going to prison, he said, I'm not looking at this as punishment.
00:30:35.000 I'm looking at this as a mission trip.
00:30:37.000 I'm going there because God wants me to be there to spread the message to whoever needs to hear it.
00:30:43.000 And when he says goodbye to his little girl and asks her, why am I going to prison?
00:30:48.000 She looks at him and says, you're going to prison to tell people about God.
00:30:52.000 And that broke my heart.
00:30:54.000 And I think it'll break the hearts of everybody who sees this movie.
00:30:57.000 You were at January 6th.
00:30:59.000 Did you see violence?
00:31:01.000 What did you see when you were there?
00:31:02.000 I saw people praying.
00:31:04.000 I saw people singing hymns.
00:31:06.000 I saw people saying the Pledge of Allegiance.
00:31:09.000 And mostly what I saw was happy people.
00:31:11.000 I was on the side of the Capitol building between the Capitol and the Supreme Court.
00:31:16.000 I wasn't on the side where the Capitol Police were firing munitions into the middle of the crowd.
00:31:23.000 So I didn't see any of the violence.
00:31:25.000 And that's pretty much why I made these movies.
00:31:28.000 I got home that night from January 6th.
00:31:31.000 And what I saw on television matched nothing of what I saw with my own eyes.
00:31:37.000 And so that's when I began to get curious, especially when I saw how the people were being treated and the lies that were being told about these people, FBI breaking these people's doors down.
00:31:48.000 That's when I just said, okay, they are lying about January 6th.
00:31:52.000 Let's find out what the truth is, number one, and number two, why they are lying.
00:31:57.000 And that's how these movies came about.
00:32:01.000 Your book is Justify This, A Career Without Compromise.
00:32:04.000 What is your advice?
00:32:05.000 for not compromising your career for our audience that at times they feel they have to compromise to pay bills, to pay the mortgage.
00:32:13.000 Our audience is fill up silent patriots that I wish were silent no longer because they're afraid of the backlash or the condemnation.
00:32:22.000 What advice can you share with the audience?
00:32:25.000 Well, I certainly sympathize with people who don't want to reveal their political leanings because of the price they might pay.
00:32:32.000 I think in my case, by the time I figured out that I needed to hide my political beliefs, it was too late and everybody already knew.
00:32:39.000 So I just kept going.
00:32:41.000 But I hope that as an example, I have been able to continue to work.
00:32:47.000 I have a Netflix series coming out this year that I did with Nicole Kidman, shot it all last year.
00:32:53.000 I have continued to be employed in Hollywood.
00:32:56.000 And I think that the fear of backlash is something that we have to stand up for.
00:33:04.000 We have to stand up to that because if you let the bully silence you, they win.
00:33:09.000 I mean, they accomplish their goal one of two ways.
00:33:12.000 Either they run you out of the business so you can't say anything, or they just make you afraid to say anything.
00:33:18.000 So I say to people, you know, I have a lot of friends who are actors say to me all the time, I agree with you, but I'm not sure I can take the stands you take because I would pay a price for it.
00:33:30.000 And I go, yeah, you might pay a price in the short term.
00:33:33.000 But in the end, if you lose your country and save your career, what have you saved?
00:33:39.000 You're not going to have a career anyway because you're not going to have a country to practice it in.
00:33:43.000 So I encourage everybody, don't let the bullies silence you.
00:33:47.000 Stop being afraid of them.
00:33:49.000 Make them deal with you on your terms.
00:33:52.000 Well said.
00:33:52.000 Nick, seriously, thank you so much.
00:33:55.000 The book is Justify This.
00:33:57.000 And boy, if you can keep on moving forward with what you believe and not be canceled in a Netflix series, that's a big deal and an example to us all.
00:34:07.000 Nick, thank you so much.
00:34:08.000 Thank you, Charlie.
00:34:09.000 Thanks for having me.
