00:03:03.000 There are so many problems in the country right now.
00:03:06.000 And we've been covering the campus protests.
00:03:08.000 And I got an alert on my phone where somebody said, hey, the House is about to pass H.R. 6090.
00:03:16.000 So we track a lot of these things that are happening.
00:03:19.000 I said, what is HR 6090?
00:03:22.000 I said, didn't we just, we just sent a bunch of money to Ukraine.
00:03:25.000 We decided the Fourth Amendment doesn't matter.
00:03:26.000 Speaker Johnson came down and said, Fourth Amendment doesn't matter, so I can spy on American citizens.
00:03:30.000 So they got rid of the Fourth Amendment at the U.S. Constitution.
00:03:33.000 The border is completely wide open.
00:03:34.000 We are adding a trillion dollars to our deficit and our debt every 100 days.
00:03:41.000 So I said, what is HR 6090?
00:03:44.000 We may be going to get some bipartisan support for deportations, asylum claims.
00:03:49.000 Are we going to fix and balance the budget?
00:03:52.000 H.R. 6090, which came out of nowhere, pushed forward by Mike Johnson and Jim Jordan, who's a friend of the show, but he's got to explain himself here.
00:04:02.000 Jim Jordan's got to explain himself.
00:04:04.000 I like Jim a lot.
00:04:06.000 It is a nice sounding bill.
00:04:07.000 And before we proceed, let me make sure that we are perfectly clear.
00:04:11.000 Hatred of Jews and hatred of any group is not tolerable in decent society.
00:04:19.000 I do not put up with Jew hatred.
00:04:21.000 And I have an 11-year career to prove that.
00:04:28.000 I do not put up when somebody says, oh, the Jews are to blame.
00:04:32.000 Nonsense.
00:04:34.000 I think it's rubbish.
00:04:35.000 I think it's evil.
00:04:36.000 And I think it's wrong.
00:04:38.000 Under the First Amendment and our tradition of free speech, you're allowed to have pretty awful opinions.
00:04:47.000 Absent you invoking specific violence against an individual or a group, you're allowed to say some things that are reprehensible.
00:04:57.000 You're allowed to make a fool of yourself.
00:05:01.000 We will challenge those things.
00:05:05.000 We will get into a debate with you on those things.
00:05:08.000 That is the tradition of free speech in this country.
00:05:12.000 So this is a nice sounding bill.
00:05:14.000 And I want to just state again: anti-Semitism has no place in decent society.
00:05:21.000 But the solution to speech you don't like is not to use the bureaucracy or the administrative state to go silence your critics and then to create a censorship leviathan that could be used against people that are actually your allies.
00:05:38.000 H.R. 6090, this is the number one news story in the country right now.
00:05:43.000 To provide for the consideration of a definition of anti-Semitism set forth by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance for the enforcement of federal anti-discrimination laws concerning education programs or activities and for other purposes.
00:06:01.000 The bill is being called the anti-Semitism Bill or the Anti-Anti-Semitism Bill to provide for the consideration of a definition of anti-Semitism set forth by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance for the enforcement of federal anti-discrimination laws concerning education programs or activities and other purposes.
00:06:21.000 So the left is tearing itself apart on these campuses.
00:06:26.000 They are destroying their coalition.
00:06:29.000 And who comes to go bail them out?
00:06:32.000 Mike Johnson.
00:06:34.000 Mike Johnson and leadership in the Republican Party waltz on down to put forward this bill, which again, it sounds nice.
00:06:42.000 Who could be against such a bill?
00:06:44.000 Let's dive into it.
00:06:47.000 About 90% of House Republicans just voted to pass H.R. 6090, the so-called Anti-Semitism Awareness Act, in response to all of the anti-Israel and Jew hatred protests on American college campuses.
00:07:02.000 If the point of H.R. 6090 was to defund the diversity, equity, inclusion apparatus that have normalized anti-white, anti-Asian, anti-Jewish discrimination at colleges, that'd be great.
00:07:12.000 But it does the opposite.
00:07:14.000 What they just did, what 90% of Republicans just did, is they strengthened DEI.
00:07:22.000 This gives a new mandate to the federal government and their massive apparatus to justify investigating and suing people for supposedly violating vague civil rights laws.
00:07:35.000 It's a step towards imposing unconstitutional European-style hate speech laws onto America.
00:07:41.000 So what is actually in this bill?
00:07:43.000 It finally, because there's some abstractions here, what do you mean by anti-Semitism?
00:07:49.000 It formally provides a definition of anti-Semitism.
00:07:54.000 But this definition doesn't simply include formally discriminating against Jews, which is already illegal and will not be tolerated.
00:08:00.000 No, no, it goes further than that.
00:08:02.000 It doesn't even say calling for violence against Jews.
00:08:07.000 Instead, it adopts a new definition created by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, which I'm sure is a great organization.
00:08:16.000 But why they are pushing this and what they are putting forward is a little strange to me.
00:08:23.000 This so-called working definition of anti-Semitism is very long and it includes a bunch of examples.
00:08:29.000 Guess what?
00:08:31.000 We've actually read this bill.
00:08:33.000 How many lawmakers actually read this before they voted on it?
00:08:36.000 I have a very busy afternoon.
00:08:38.000 You know what I'm going to be doing?
00:08:39.000 I'm going to be calling any lawmaker that will take my call that are always asking to come on our show and saying, did you guys actually read this bill?
00:08:47.000 Did you read the bill that you guys just passed?
00:08:50.000 Or did you read the title of the bill?
00:08:53.000 So some examples are clear-cut that I agree with.
00:08:56.000 They're anti-Semitic and they should be illegal.
00:08:58.000 For example, if you call or aid justifying the killing or harming of Jews in the name of radical ideology, that should be illegal.
00:09:05.000 I agree.
00:09:06.000 If you are calling for the extermination of a people group, no question.
00:09:10.000 But then it gets very shaky.
00:09:13.000 Other examples might be very immoral, such as accusing Jewish citizens of being more loyal to Israel or the alleged priorities of Jews worldwide than the interests of their own nations.
00:09:23.000 Hold on a second.
00:09:23.000 That's now illegal to say on campus?
00:09:25.000 Yes.
00:09:25.000 You are no longer allowed to say based on this bill, if it becomes law, that Jews might have more loyalty to Israel than to America.
00:09:36.000 Okay, I don't think I would ever make that argument, but that is absolutely constitutionally protected speech.
00:09:43.000 Or this one quote, quote, claiming that the existence of the state of Israel is a racist endeavor.
00:09:50.000 Okay, I'm on the other side of that.
00:09:51.000 I argue that it's not a racist endeavor, but thoughtful people have come to a different conclusion on that.
00:09:58.000 I think they're totally wrong, but they should be allowed to say that.
00:10:02.000 So now if a professor on a campus writes an article that says that Israel is a racist endeavor, we're going to say that's illegal.
00:10:12.000 Or this one, drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.
00:10:18.000 Again, I think it's silly to do that, but now it's illegal.
00:10:23.000 All of these might be dumb arguments to make.
00:10:25.000 But if you define this as anti-Semitism under federal civil rights law, you're basically making it illegal for Americans to criticize a foreign government.
00:10:33.000 Oh, but it gets even worse than that.
00:10:37.000 I have here the most important book in my life, and I hope the book in your life, the Holy Bible, the Word of God, the Holy Scriptures.
00:10:46.000 66 books, one author.
00:10:49.000 And you dive deeper into the law, soon-to-be bill of law, it says that if you claim that the Jews killed Jesus, that is a part of anti-Semitism.
00:11:01.000 Now, obviously, I and all authentic modern Christians do not blame Jews for the death of Christ.
00:11:09.000 But the text of the Bible in John 8, in the first letter of 1 Thessalonians, there are mentions that very well could be now illegal under federal law.
00:11:23.000 Did Mike Johnson, a stated Christian, and did 90% of Republicans in the House of Representatives just pass a bill wanting it to become law that could make it illegal to do a Bible study on a college campus?
00:11:43.000 I'm going to read to you from the Holy Bible.
00:11:46.000 Then I'm going to read to you from the law or the bill, and you decide, because I think they might have.
00:11:53.000 I think they might have passed a bill that would make the studying and the teaching of God's word illegal on American college campuses.
00:12:06.000 All right, I need to tell you guys about Strong Cell.

00:13:57.000 Check it out right now.
00:14:01.000 So we have the bill here.
00:14:03.000 It's only five pages.
00:14:06.000 H.R. 6090 includes in the contemporary definition.
00:14:13.000 Definitions for purposes of the act of anti-Semitism means the definition of anti-Semitism adopted by May 26, 2016 by the IHRA.
00:14:22.000 So then you go and you refer to that.
00:14:25.000 And part of the definition, according to the International Holocaust Remembrance Association, which I'm sure does incredibly important work, may we never forget the horror that happened in the 20th century, is claims of Jews killing Jesus.
00:14:42.000 Now, just from a theological perspective, it's very important to understand that just flippantly saying the Jews killed Jesus, that's not even theologically correct.
00:14:52.000 There were Jews that were involved and crowds that were supportive, but it was an execution act By the Roman government, the Roman polity.
00:15:00.000 It was Pilate's final decision.
00:15:03.000 However, it now says that it is illegal, verboten, on campus to do such things.
00:15:09.000 Quote, using symbols and images associated with classic anti-Semitism.
00:15:15.000 Example, claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel.
00:15:20.000 Imagine if you are a student at the University of Florida and you run a Bible study and this bill becomes law, which says again, quote, using the symbols and images associated with the classic anti-Semitism, for example, claims of Jews killing Jesus.
00:15:39.000 And you decide to run a Bible study with 10 of your friends and you say, quote, 1 Thessalonians 2, 14, for you, brothers, became imitators of the churches of God and Christ Jesus that are in Judea.
00:15:51.000 For you suffered the same things from your own countrymen as they did from the Jews, who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets and drove us out and displeased God and oppose all mankind by hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles that they might be saved so as always to fill up the measure of their sins, but wrath has come to us at last.
00:16:10.000 According to the text of this law, it is illegal to read that passage now on a college campus if it becomes law.
00:16:17.000 Or how about John 8?
00:16:20.000 The later portion of John 8 says very clearly, but you have not known him.
00:16:27.000 I know him.
00:16:28.000 If I were like you, I do not know him.
00:16:29.000 I would be a liar like you, but I do not know him and I keep his word.
00:16:33.000 Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day and he was glad.
00:16:36.000 Truly, truly, I say to you before Abraham was, I am.
00:16:39.000 It says previously, you are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desire.
00:16:46.000 He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in truth, because there is no truth in him.
00:16:51.000 When he lies, he speaks out of his character, for he is a liar and a father of lies.
00:16:55.000 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me, which of you convicts me of sin.
00:17:00.000 Is that he's talking, he says here to a group of Abraham's children, which could be considered to be Jews.
00:17:11.000 At the end, it says that the Jews picked up stones to stone him at the end of the chapter.
00:17:17.000 At the end of the chapter, it says that.
00:17:19.000 Let's go into the book of Acts, if we will, written by Luke, the physician.
00:17:26.000 Acts is part two of the book of Luke.
00:17:29.000 Little known fact is that Luke actually wrote most of the New Testament, not Paul.
00:17:33.000 Acts 3, 14 through 15.
00:17:36.000 You disowned the holy and righteous ones and asked that a murderer be released to you.
00:17:40.000 You, he's talking to the Jews.
00:17:41.000 You killed the author of life, but God raised them from the dead.
00:17:44.000 We are witnesses of this.
00:17:46.000 Acts 4, 10.
00:17:49.000 Men know this, and you and all people of Israel, it is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, but whom God raised from the dead, this man stands before you healed.
00:17:57.000 Now, none of these passages are quote-unquote anti-Semitic.
00:18:00.000 They must be taken in context.
00:18:02.000 And the Bible is explicit about blessing Israel, blessing the Jews, of which I live out every single day.
00:18:09.000 But this bill that Republicans voted for, that 90% of Republicans voted for, explicitly says that it is anti-Semitic and now should be illegal if you say that Jews killed Jesus, of which it says in 1 Thessalonians twice in the book of Acts and has, let's just say, could be interpreted as questionable dialogue in the book of John.
00:18:33.000 Did they read this bill?
00:18:36.000 Did Mike Johnson and did the leaders of the House Republican Conference read this bill?
00:18:40.000 And I'm going to go through the list of some of the people that voted for this thing.
00:18:45.000 I don't believe that many of them intended to make passages from the Bible illegal, but explain to me where I'm wrong.
00:18:51.000 I read to you the text of the bill.
00:18:54.000 Example, saying that the Jews killed Jesus.
00:18:56.000 I just gave you four passages in the Bible that say that.
00:19:00.000 Therefore, did they just make the Holy Scriptures illegal on campus?
00:19:05.000 So I want to break this down through multiple ways.
00:19:08.000 I think we thoroughly, I should say, covered how this very well might outlaw parts of the Bible and saying it, not just on campus, by the way.
00:19:18.000 This bill, if it becomes law, gives the Department of Justice and the civil rights leviathan new weaponry to go after the faithful.
00:19:31.000 How naive, stupid, or complicit Republicans are for passing this, giving more and more power to the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Office.
00:19:44.000 For example, in the, I'm not Catholic, but I have great respect for Catholics and a lot of friends that are Catholic.
00:19:51.000 In the Vatican I version of Mass, before Easter, they will say something of the variety, as it says in scripture, that Jews turn their back on Jesus.
00:20:04.000 Is that now going to warrant an investigation from the civil rights leviathan?
00:20:08.000 And before you say I'm fear-mongering, have you been paying attention the last decade of what our government has done to pervert and contort and misuse the federal law to go after everyday American patriots?
00:20:24.000 Even if this law was written plainly and clearly, which it is not, it would still be abused.
00:20:31.000 And it has a nice title, Anti-Semitism Awareness Act.
00:20:34.000 I don't want anti-Semitism.
00:20:35.000 You don't want anti-Semitism.
00:20:37.000 Guess what?
00:20:38.000 This will create even more anti-Semitism.
00:20:41.000 If your goal is to have more people have negative views about the power of Jewish Americans in the political process, this bill does not help.
00:20:52.000 It is a direct tomahawk missile on the First Amendment.
00:20:57.000 Yesterday and last night felt as if somebody at the top level of the regime decided to drop the hammer.
00:21:04.000 And our side is so gullible.
00:21:06.000 Mike Johnson, so gullible.
00:21:08.000 Police dismantled the Fordham occupation last night.
00:21:12.000 They dismantled the UCLA encampment overnight.
00:21:15.000 They raided Hamilton Hall at Columbia overnight.
00:21:18.000 Police are moving into Portland State encampment as we speak.
00:21:21.000 Joe Biden finally condemned the protests.
00:21:23.000 And while all of that is disappearing and is vanishing, Republicans decide to put an unprecedented historic attack on the First Amendment.
00:21:33.000 And let me just say, so many of these Republicans are quick to go on cable TV and say, well, free speech and free speech and free speech.
00:21:42.000 How many times do we hear that?
00:21:43.000 They do these hearings, these ridiculous hearings in Congress.
00:21:46.000 Oh, you know, we Republicans are the party of free speech.
00:21:48.000 Are you really the party of free speech?
00:21:51.000 Show me, because this is not in the spirit or tradition of free speech.
00:21:56.000 And don't take my word for it.
00:21:58.000 Let's read what Ben Shapiro, who's a great man, said about this bill.
00:22:04.000 We don't agree on everything.
00:22:05.000 Boy, is that true.
00:22:08.000 However, Ben Shapiro, an Orthodox Jew, says this.
00:22:13.000 Our campuses are left-wing activism training centers.
00:22:16.000 Remove their taxpayer funding.
00:22:17.000 West Virginia minors should not subsidize gender studies, major Hamas fans.
00:22:22.000 The solution is not to pass a bad bill adding yet more free speech violations to the giant free speech violation that is Title VI.
00:22:33.000 Ben Shapiro is spot on.
00:22:35.000 So if Ben Shapiro doesn't support it, who actually does?
00:22:39.000 Well, I'll tell you, almost every single Republican, 90% of your Republican conference does not care about the First Amendment.
00:22:49.000 They only care about speech they like.
00:22:54.000 They only care about speech that they want to hear.
00:22:59.000 And I want to say this, and I want to defend anyone that might say, oh, this is Jews pushing for this.
00:23:05.000 I don't know a single Jewish patriot in my life that supports this or wants this.
00:23:11.000 Not a single one.
00:23:14.000 Vast majority of Jews didn't ask for this.
00:23:16.000 It came out of nowhere.
00:23:17.000 It almost feels like a trap that Republicans fell for.
00:23:21.000 Oh, Anti-Semitism Awareness Act, you know, we have to vote for this.
00:23:25.000 And Speaker Johnson was happy to lay the bait and take the bait.
00:23:31.000 Debt, it keeps you tossing and turning at night.
00:23:33.000 You can't get away from it.
00:23:34.000 But the truth is, the system is designed to trap you in debt.
00:23:38.000 Insanely high interest rate credit cards and loans make it nearly impossible to pay off your debt.
00:23:43.000 There's a new way out of the debt trap: pivotal debt solutions.

00:24:26.000 Mike Lawler, let's get that tape here.
00:24:29.000 Cut 102, a Republican congressman from New York, is celebrating this.
00:24:34.000 And for the 30th time, I just want to repeat: I think that Jew hatred is repulsive.
00:24:40.000 But we have a First Amendment to defend even repulsive opinions.
00:24:46.000 Let's play Cut 102.
00:24:48.000 Hey, everyone, it's Congressman Mike Lawler.
00:24:50.000 I just want to say how proud I am that my bill, the Anti-Semitism Awareness Act, just passed the House of Representatives 320 votes to 91.
00:25:01.000 This bill has broad bipartisan support and will begin the process of cracking down on the anti-Semitism that we've seen run rampant on college campuses all across America.
00:25:12.000 This is a big day and a big win.
00:25:15.000 Now we got to get it through the Senate and signed into law.
00:25:18.000 I look forward to working to get this across the finish line.
00:25:22.000 We have plenty of laws, Mr. Lawler.
00:25:25.000 Enforce the ones already on the books.
00:25:29.000 In fact, the problem is not that you need a new bill that expands the civil rights DEI monster that we've seen that goes after different groups unnecessarily.
00:25:41.000 No, but instead, why don't you enforce the laws on the books?
00:25:45.000 And this is your priority?
00:25:49.000 This is the priority of the House Republican Conference.
00:25:53.000 Every day I grieve how this document, the United States Constitution, the greatest political document ever written, is being destroyed.
00:26:02.000 The Bill of Rights has 10 amendments.
00:26:05.000 We have seen two of them effectively vanish in the last couple of weeks.
00:26:11.000 Remember the Fourth Amendment?
00:26:13.000 Republicans don't believe in that.
00:26:15.000 The right of the people to secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures shall not be violated.
00:26:22.000 We expanded FISA.
00:26:24.000 Thank you, Mike Johnson, for tiebreaker vote.
00:26:26.000 No warrants, spy on all of your communications, can spy on everything.
00:26:29.000 The First Amendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press or the right of the people to peaceably assemble.
00:26:39.000 Look, I hate to break it to House Republicans.
00:26:42.000 I don't like the Students for Justice of Palestine.
00:26:44.000 I don't like these Palestinian protests.
00:26:47.000 But when they remain peaceful, they are constitutionally protected.
00:26:51.000 Those are protected by the First Amendment, and you should want them to be protected.
00:26:57.000 But swooping in with mass bipartisan support and save me the lecture on bipartisan support.
00:27:03.000 When something is rapidly supported by the uniparty, I think it's even worse of an idea.
00:27:11.000 And people are fussing saying, oh, no, it doesn't make the Bible illegal, which again, by the word of the law, I think I made a rather crisp argument that it does.
00:27:20.000 However, let's just put that aside.
00:27:22.000 The bill requires the Department of Education to now use this definition with these examples when how it decides to enforce Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which prohibits forms of racial and religious discrimination.
00:27:36.000 So a school commits any of the above offenses or tolerates students or faculty who do, the Department of Education is now being told they have to sue them for violating civil rights law the same way it currently sues for race and sex discrimination.
00:27:49.000 And while they aren't explicitly named, it's reasonable to imagine this bill encourages or requires all other civil rights bureaucracies to act the same way.
00:27:58.000 And we have the roll call of all the people who voted for this.
00:28:01.000 And it is overwhelming.
00:28:04.000 The Republicans, and I'm going to be working the phones this afternoon calling a lot of these people, saying, hey, just a quick question.
00:28:11.000 Did you read the bill?
00:28:13.000 Like, did you actually look up what the definition was cited in there?
00:28:18.000 Did you go through?
00:28:20.000 I mean, okay, let's just put the Bible part aside, which I think I've done thoroughly.
00:28:23.000 I want to go back to two, in particular.
00:28:25.000 You're not allowed to say that Jews are more loyal to Israel or allege priorities of Jews worldwide than the interests of their own nations.
00:28:31.000 You're not allowed to say that.
00:28:32.000 Well, what if there's an instance where that's true?
00:28:35.000 You're not allowed to say that?
00:28:38.000 Again, the Jews in my life, they don't believe that.
00:28:41.000 They're Jewish patriots.
00:28:43.000 A Jewish listener to the program says, Charlie, what about dual citizens?
00:28:47.000 You can't say they have dual citizenship.
00:28:49.000 So we're now policing fact patterns.
00:28:52.000 A lot of people are dual citizens.
00:28:55.000 You can't say that the state of Israel is a racist endeavor.
00:29:01.000 I don't believe it's a racist endeavor.
00:29:02.000 I love Israel.
00:29:03.000 I fight for Israel every day.
00:29:05.000 But you can't even say that.
00:29:06.000 So let me get this straight.
00:29:07.000 If I have ate an event on a college campus and I talk to students for an hour, two hours, three hours, and somebody comes up and says that Israel is racist, the Department of Education could sue that student?
00:29:22.000 No, I think that's totally wrong.
00:29:24.000 I think that's reprehensible.
00:29:27.000 If a student says and comes up and draws comparison of Israeli policy to that of the Nazis, that is now illegal.
00:29:36.000 Do you know how you handle that, Mr. Lawler, and to the most 90% of the Republicans that voted for this?
00:29:43.000 You don't handle that by passing a bill.
00:29:46.000 You handle that by having the courage to go on these campuses, look them in the eye, debate them, film it, and publicize the dialogue.
00:29:56.000 That's what we have done successfully at Turning Point USA.
00:30:00.000 We have successfully gone into the streets and had the tough conversations.
00:30:04.000 And guess what?
00:30:05.000 We're winning in that regard.
00:30:08.000 We have 50 million social media views on a single platform, TikTok a week.
00:30:14.000 We have 40 to 50 million on Instagram a week just on that type of content.
00:30:18.000 And I'm going to close this talking about the moral right of free speech more broadly, something the Republicans obviously don't believe in.
00:30:26.000 They say they do.
00:30:27.000 Oh, we have all these hearings about campus free speech.
00:30:29.000 And then they come in and parachute saying, well, unless you want to say that Israel is racist, which I don't believe, but people should say, then we don't believe in that.
00:30:40.000 And by the way, I'm calling some of them out on text message.
00:30:42.000 They say, oh, well, it's not going to pass the Senate.
00:30:44.000 That is a ridiculous response to me.
00:30:47.000 A ridiculous response that you have a show vote because you're afraid of owning the truth because you have some sort of handshake deal with the Senate.
00:30:55.000 Get out of the way.
00:30:59.000 I've been doing this for 11 years.
00:31:01.000 I know campus is probably better than almost anybody in the halls of Congress.
00:31:05.000 And I don't say that braggadociously.
00:31:07.000 I say that factually.
00:31:08.000 I've spoken almost every major Power 5 school across the country.
00:31:12.000 I say almost.
00:31:13.000 There's, I think, 70 of them.
00:31:15.000 I think I've spoken at 62 of them.
00:31:18.000 I've been all across the country, and I know the campus environment very, very well.
00:31:23.000 I could tell you there is a nonstop campaign to stop me from speaking on these campuses.
00:31:27.000 Thankfully, we have the First Amendment.
00:31:29.000 Thankfully.
00:31:31.000 So you have a choice.
00:31:33.000 You can shut up opinions you don't like, or you can keep the trajectory in the tradition of speech that actually helps us in the long end.
00:31:43.000 Do we believe our ideas are better?
00:31:45.000 Yes.
00:31:45.000 Do we believe that we can back them up with facts and dialogue, reason?
00:31:50.000 Yes.
00:31:51.000 Here's a conversation I had with a gentleman who did not think very highly of Israel.
00:31:58.000 Sweet man, devout Catholic, this is one of hundreds of pieces of tape I could show you.
00:32:05.000 We have now posted this clip on social media.
00:32:08.000 It's been seen by millions of millions of people.
00:32:11.000 I defend Israel in this clip.
00:32:15.000 I don't think this young man should be investigated by the Department of Education for having a contrarian view.
00:32:23.000 He doesn't say any of the buzzwords there, but what if he says something like, you know, I think Israel is racist?
00:32:29.000 Okay, that's silly.
00:32:30.000 Let's talk about it.
00:32:31.000 So instead of stifling and suffocating their speech, let's have a conversation.
00:32:37.000 Here's an example, because I live this out every day.
00:32:40.000 And if any of these buffoons that passed this thing would have picked up the phone and talked to us, they would have realized that they're actually hurting the movement.
00:32:53.000 They're hurting our own momentum.
00:32:57.000 Before I play this, I just want to make sure you understand.
00:33:00.000 We have been winning these last two weeks, and Republicans had to prance in and shoot ourselves in the foot, losing the moral high ground.
00:33:09.000 Here's an example of the dialogue that is necessary with a young man who does not care for Israel.
00:33:15.000 And he's not alone.
00:33:16.000 There's a lot of them out there.
00:33:18.000 But I don't think he should be sued or investigated by the federal government.
00:33:23.000 Play cut 103.
00:33:25.000 Why is Israel so important to America?
00:33:28.000 What evidence do you have that the Bible is true?
00:33:30.000 Well, we have archaeological evidence.
00:33:31.000 Right.
00:33:32.000 Where is that archaeological evidence found?
00:33:34.000 In Israel.
00:33:35.000 Right, thank you.
00:33:35.000 So in the places controlled by Muslims, are we able to access that archaeological evidence?
00:33:41.000 No.
00:33:41.000 No.
00:33:42.000 So therefore, as it's controlled by Jews, we Christians have actually gotten the better end of the deal.
00:33:47.000 So you're asking the question, why should we support Israel?
00:33:49.000 We want the Bible to be proven true.
00:33:51.000 The archaeological evidence is found in Israel.
00:33:54.000 The places where the Muslims can control it completely, like Bethlehem, we are not able to visit those holy sites.
00:34:00.000 I have a theological belief, but I also have a belief that protecting the historical integrity of the Bible is good for all of humanity.
00:34:07.000 And under its current government, we're allowed to access those holy sites.
00:34:10.000 I'm able to go to see where Jesus walked on the water.
00:34:14.000 I'm able to go and see where Jesus rose from the dead.
00:34:16.000 I'm able to see where Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot.
00:34:19.000 I'm able to see where Jesus preached the Mount of the Beatitudes.
00:34:22.000 And I think that's worth defending.
00:34:24.000 And I'm afraid that if it was under Muslim control, there is no such guarantees always that Western Christians are gained access to those holy sites.
00:34:31.000 We posted that on TikTok.
00:34:33.000 It has 250,000 views in one hour.
00:34:35.000 The top comment.
00:34:36.000 I've actually never heard it stated like this.
00:34:38.000 This is a really well thought out answer.
00:34:39.000 And 1,256 people liked that in one hour as far as they agree with that sentiment.
00:34:45.000 The next comment.
00:34:47.000 Okay, never heard this argument.
00:34:49.000 Thinking face.
00:34:50.000 Solid answer.
00:34:51.000 Now, what am I getting at here?
00:34:54.000 That dialogue is how we win people over.
00:34:57.000 Not by top-down brute force, stifling discussion.
00:35:02.000 If someone were to come up to me at one of these events and say the reprehensible anti-Jewish stuff, I would call them out and we would build consensus.
00:35:14.000 Do you know that it actually makes these evil and awful ideas, it makes them more popular the more you censor them?
00:35:25.000 It makes them more popular because then people say, well, if I'm not, if I can't say it, I'm going to try to say it.
00:35:29.000 You should be able to think and speak freely in this country.
00:35:35.000 Even if you are offending a group.
00:35:37.000 And by the way, I remember back when the ACLU, the American Civil Liberties Union, defended the right of neo-Nazis to march in downtown Skokie, Illinois, along where a lot of Holocaust survivors lived.
00:35:52.000 But there is a new state of affairs in Washington, D.C., where it's not about freedom of speech.
00:35:59.000 It's not about dialogue.
00:36:01.000 It's about stifling.
00:36:03.000 It's about using power to potentially prevent the word of God from being read.
00:36:08.000 Brought to you by the Republican Party.
