My conversation at the University of Florida with a bunch of students that ask some really good questions. I think you'll really enjoy it. Tweet me if you have any questions or want to ask me a question!

00:01:35.000What I came here, my talking point, I wanted to know what your views are on, what is it, queer people, just like gay people, transgender people, because I know there's a lot of hatred coming from conservatives, and I won't say all of them, but it's a...
00:01:55.000It's a common thing, and I think a lot of it just comes down to hating to hate.
00:01:58.000I want to know where you stand on that.
00:05:12.000There's nothing morally wrong with you going and, let's just say, competing in a weightlifting competition with the women's sports Of University of Florida if you say you're a woman.
00:09:21.000No need to spend hours in a retail store waiting your turn.

00:09:55.000So I guess the other question I have is that is there something morally wrong with an 11-year-old?
00:10:02.000Who thinks that they are a woman or thinks they are a boy taking medication to change their body?
00:10:08.000I actually think it depends because I think there is a real concern about permanent changes.
00:10:17.000But I think it's often a bit of a huge scare because I think there's a lot of procedures that go into being transgender that aren't permanent.
00:13:00.000I do think, though, that it's interesting, and I'll just close with this, which is that a civilization that can't define very basic biological terms and stay close to them...
00:18:42.000Okay, so there's one thing that you've said so far that I agree with, and that's Republicans won the election because of stoking fear about transgenderism and paranoia about these culture issues, and their actual policy and economic agenda is devastating for the middle and working class and Americans.
00:18:59.000There is nothing that the Republican budget proposal right now is going to do to benefit working-class Americans.
00:19:06.000They're passing tax cuts that are going to add $4.5 trillion to the debt over the next 10 years.
00:19:11.000Tax cuts are going to save the economy.
00:19:13.000Since 2000, we've passed tax cuts four separate times, five if you include the recent budget proposal, to the tune of $11.5 trillion.
00:19:21.000It's not going to save the economy then.
00:19:24.000If it was going to, it would have done it a few trillion dollars ago.
00:19:27.000What we could have invested for the Republican tax cuts, just the recent one, is funding universal child lunch over 10 times, which is the cheapest way to improve test scores.
00:19:37.000We could have increased funding for Medicare to improve American health.
00:19:40.000We could have provided paid family medical leave.
00:19:43.000We could have provided universal child care over 15 times over to increase the participation of working mothers in the workforce.
00:19:49.000If you look at where we're spending the money on tax cuts, we could significantly be uplifting the working class, and Republicans just aren't doing that.
00:19:56.000They just want to give handouts to rich people.
00:19:58.000So in any world, why should we vote for them other than, oh, they make me scared about trans people?
00:20:04.000Yeah, so you say it's paranoia about trans people.
00:20:07.000Is it paranoia when moms are concerned that their daughters have to change next to men?
00:20:17.000No, it requires a little bit of nuance.
00:20:19.000Okay, so I think trans men and women, like a woman with her daughter, would feel a lot more comfortable with a trans woman that's undergone a vaginoplasty than a trans guy that has a dick, even though he has XX chromosomes.
00:22:42.000Okay, so it's not like these transgender women are just showing up in sports and being like, actually, I'm a woman now, and I want to go break all these records.
00:22:54.000So the Olympic body has very strict governing standards on the amount of testosterone and the amount of time you've been on hormone replacement therapy to reduce your levels of testosterone, that's like the performance enhancer for these sports, to natural levels of women.
00:23:13.000Whether or not that provides an advantage or not.
00:23:18.000I do think there should be research into that.
00:23:20.000But say, like, a blanket ban on people who might have been taking puberty blockers since they were 12 and then go on to progress and actually know you're not allowed to participate in women's sports.
00:23:28.000There doesn't really seem to be an argument for that, does there?
00:23:45.000But men, XY chromosomes, tend to be 30% taller.
00:23:49.000They tend to have twice as much muscle mass, nearly three times as much bone density, more lung capacity, almost every possible structural advantage in sports that you...
00:23:59.000By the way, I can't believe I have to tell you this.
00:24:01.000It's so obvious just looking at nature.
00:24:04.000I just want everyone to go back in your memory.
00:24:06.000Do you remember in the Olympics where that poor French woman, her whole Italian woman was all about boxing and she just got beat up for 80 seconds.
00:24:17.000It was on display for billions of years.
00:24:22.000You are missing a very important fact about the differences in physical capabilities between men and women and that most of them develop before puberty.
00:24:36.000As puberty is going on, when the male body gets a lot of testosterone, so if you develop and you take puberty blockers, and then when you're 18, you take estrogen, you develop as a woman, you won't...

00:27:46.000You're not a doctor, and the medical literature disagrees with you.
00:27:50.000First of all, the AMA and the medical literature is completely corrupted.
00:27:53.000They have destroyed thousands of lives.
00:27:56.000And just because you don't have the title doctor does not mean that you can't see which doctor practices from afar.
00:28:03.000There is no medicinal value of giving a 14-year-old girl who might be going through a phase who's probably going through puberty anxiety, irreversible drugs like Lupron and breast removal surgery and saying that this is all about gender-affirming care.
00:28:16.000No one in the United States under the age of 16 gets, like, breast reduction surgery.
00:28:51.000Language is a device we use to express thoughts.
00:28:55.000If I had XX chromosomes and you called me a man, like, he's asking me a question, people would look at you, like, if I had XX chromosomes and I transitioned into a man, and you called me a man, and you were like, oh, she's asking a question.
00:29:12.000Dude, this is not a hard question, please.
00:31:38.000We're not going to affirm a lie, and we're not going to teach it to our kids, and we're not going to put our kids in locker rooms alongside men who think they are women, which puts them in danger at safety and ruins female privacy.
00:31:48.000But trans men with dicks are okay, because they have XX chromosomes.
00:32:06.000You can make yourself look like something else.
00:32:09.000You think a woman and a girl in a women's locker room, a trans guy who looks exactly like a guy, strips down, oh, I have XX chromosomes, that's fine.
00:32:23.000Number two, they should be kicked out of the locker room in general because that's a really weird freak that shouldn't even be in public life.
00:32:29.000Number three, though, and this is the most important thing, transgenderism is so obviously a mental illness.
00:32:35.000And the treatment for that is puberty blockers, testosterone, and hormone replacement therapy.
00:32:39.000Why would we change the treatment that worked for 40 years?
00:37:05.000We're worried about a lot of things, but it's just so remarkable that we sign an executive order saying that no men in female sports, and there's opposition.
00:37:14.000Wouldn't it be smart for you guys to be like, you know, this is a 90-10 issue.
00:37:17.000Girls are losing championships, but you guys are so married to that.
