00:00:00.000 Hey everybody, welcome to the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:00:02.000 Andrew Colvett filling in for Charlie today.
00:00:04.000 We dissect Robert Hurr's truly remarkable report.
00:00:09.000 It's a special counsel calling Joe Biden an elderly grandpa who can't remember anything and therefore was not going to be charged with mishandling of classified documents.
00:00:19.000 We unpack everything, including for Joe Biden, the late night press conference, train wreck, disaster, the left's reaction.
00:00:26.000 I'm joined by Blake Neff.
00:00:27.000 We break it all down.
00:00:28.000 We also talk about Tucker's interview with Vladimir Putin.
00:00:32.000 It's a fascinating hour.
00:00:33.000 You're not going to want to miss it.
00:00:34.000 Buckle up.
00:00:34.000 Here we go.
00:00:36.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.

00:00:50.000 He's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created.
00:00:55.000 Turning point USA.
00:00:56.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:01:05.000 That's why we are here.

00:01:34.000 We're so honored to be with you.
00:01:35.000 My name is Andrew Colvett.
00:01:37.000 I'm the executive producer of this fine show.
00:01:39.000 I am also joined in studio by Blake Neff, another one of our producers and resident historian, which will come into play later, Blake, when we get into the Tucker-Putin exchange, because there's a lot.
00:01:52.000 If you guys haven't watched it yet, you don't understand.
00:01:55.000 But there was a 30-minute history lesson from Putin directs to Tucker last night.
00:02:00.000 So a lot to unpack there.
00:02:01.000 I really do want to get into that because as I said in the cold, I watched that thing three times over.
00:02:06.000 Every time I watched it, I got something else out of it.
00:02:09.000 And I felt like it was just jam-packed with information.
00:02:12.000 So we will get into that, but we have to start right here at home.
00:02:16.000 This is an America first show.
00:02:17.000 So we're going to start right here in America.
00:02:19.000 And it was fascinating yesterday, Blake.
00:02:22.000 I mean, it was a seismic shift in the contour of the 2024 election.
00:02:29.000 I mean, I don't think there's any other way to put it.
00:02:31.000 It was a no good, very bad day for Joe Biden on multiple fronts.
00:02:37.000 It was like a political drive-by shooting almost.
00:02:40.000 I don't think...
00:02:41.000 Were we even expecting this report?
00:02:42.000 I don't remember anyone talking about it.
00:02:44.000 I might have just not been paying attention, but it seems like it just drops out of nowhere and no one was expecting him to get charged.
00:02:52.000 And I definitely don't think we were expecting to get a report where we'd say it would have been better for Biden if he were charged.
00:03:00.000 But that's what everyone was saying after it came out.
00:03:03.000 Well, okay, so let's catch people up.
00:03:06.000 I'm sure many have heard details here and there, but this is a it to your point, it was worse than getting charged in many ways.
00:03:14.000 This is a special counsel investigating Joe Biden's handling of classified documents that were found both in his house in Delaware and in his office, I believe, at Pennsylvania, UPenn, right, if I'm not mistaken.
00:03:27.000 And essentially, what they concluded, right, Blake, is that he is a kindly old grandpa that can't remember anything and he's well-intentioned, so we're not going to charge him.
00:03:38.000 And I mean, I mean, that's a damning thing.
00:03:42.000 They essentially said that he is not fit to stand trial.
00:03:47.000 Am I overstating the case?
00:03:49.000 Yeah.
00:03:50.000 So just to remind people, because it's easy to forget about this, this hasn't been brought up in months.
00:03:54.000 But so we had the raid on Mar-a-Lago in late summer 2022.
00:03:59.000 And then sort of awkwardly, kind of this is like this fart sound as Democrats were celebrating having something on Trump finally.
00:04:08.000 Then Biden has to come forward.
00:04:10.000 His lawyers admit we found classified documents in Biden's offices.
00:04:16.000 And Sameric Garland just has a special counsel and he'll just investigate all of this.
00:04:22.000 And so it'll look fair because we'll have a special counsel for Trump, special counsel for Biden.
00:04:28.000 And we all know about how Jack Smith has gone, all the different charges he's brought, but there was no real attention on this other report.
00:04:37.000 And then it comes out.
00:04:38.000 And yeah, as you say, it describes that Biden, you know, they say that he deliberately retained documents that had classified information on them, which is illegal.
00:04:51.000 Or, well, I guess with the Trump case, we don't want to say it is illegal.
00:04:54.000 It's being litigated, what's allowed here.
00:04:57.000 But he says we can't bring charges on this because it would just be unlikely to convict.
00:05:02.000 A jury would not convict.
00:05:03.000 And he said several grounds.
00:05:04.000 One, he said Biden is already over 80.
00:05:08.000 He'll be in his mid-80s by the time any jury would bother to give a verdict on this.
00:05:14.000 And so he'll be really feeble in that regard.
00:05:17.000 There's no point in prosecuting someone that old, that decrepit.
00:05:20.000 And then he puts a lot of emphasis on Biden's memory.
00:05:24.000 He says Biden's memory is already so far gone, it will be very easy for a jury to be sympathetic and think this guy did not willfully break the law.
00:05:36.000 He did not have enough mental capacity that we are beyond a reasonable doubt confident he had the mensrea to do this.
00:05:43.000 There's a specific quote I have.
00:05:44.000 I have the report here that I'm reading.
00:05:47.000 And this is a direct quote from the report on page 208.
00:05:52.000 In his interview with our office, Mr. Biden's memory was worse.
00:05:56.000 He did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended, quote, if it was 2013, when did I stop being vice president?
00:06:09.000 And on the second day, he forgot in the interview when his term began.
00:06:13.000 This is again a Biden quote.
00:06:15.000 In 2009, am I still vice president?
00:06:19.000 He did not remember, even within several years, when his son Bo died.
00:06:25.000 And his memory appeared hazy when describing the Afghanistan debate that was once so important to him.
00:06:32.000 Among other things, he mistakenly said he, quote, had a real difference of opinion with General Carl Eikenberry when, in fact, Eikenberry was an ally who Mr. Biden cited approvingly in his Thanksgiving memo to President Obama.
00:06:47.000 So he's misremembering when he was vice president, when he started being vice president, when his son died, and he can't even remember the details about the Afghanistan dispute.
00:06:59.000 Who was on his side?
00:07:00.000 What arguments were they making?
00:07:02.000 And this is all one paragraph of a 388-page report.
00:07:06.000 Well, and it comes on a particularly damning week where these gaffes seem to be even more, you know, common, right?
00:07:14.000 So on Wednesday, Biden implied that the leader of Germany was still Helmut Kohl, who left office in 1998 and then died in 2017.
00:07:23.000 So the guy's dead.
00:07:24.000 And then last Sunday, Biden thought that the president of France was Francois Mitterrand, who has been dead for 28 years.
00:07:32.000 Yeah, he died in 1996.
00:07:36.000 He's the sort of commie adjacent leader of France in the 80s.
00:07:41.000 And so was Helmut Cole.
00:07:42.000 Helmut Cole's the guy who was in charge when Germany reunifies.
00:07:45.000 That's what he's famous for.
00:07:47.000 So Biden has his world leaders stuck in the late Cold War when he was.
00:07:52.000 Yeah, well.
00:07:54.000 Yeah, and then and then to make matters incredibly worse, and we're going to play some of this tape.
00:08:00.000 He then announces a 745 Eastern presser, right?
00:08:04.000 And this thing turns into a disaster.
00:08:06.000 But ahead of it, because of how damning this report was, a lot of us were texting each other back and forth going, is he going to announce that he's stepping down and that he's going to get out of the way?
00:08:15.000 He realizes he's not the man he once was.
00:08:20.000 No, this was like.
00:08:22.000 A confrontation between family members when they go to their elderly grandpa or whatever and say, hey, it's time to go into supervised care, grandpa.
00:08:34.000 And he's yelling at him.
00:08:35.000 He's got the shaking the finger.
00:08:36.000 He said, no, I know what I'm doing.
00:08:39.000 You're not taking me from my home.
00:08:40.000 You know, I'm normally not one of the conspiracy guys.
00:08:45.000 But what's I think of is, you know, the show House of Cards?
00:08:50.000 So the original British version of House of Cards, there's a prime minister, instead of a president, there's a prime minister and the villain, the Frank Underwood of Britain, different name.
00:09:00.000 He's trying to undermine him.
00:09:01.000 And so this prime minister is facing a scandal and he eggs him on into giving an interview that he then sets up so that it will destroy his career.
00:09:10.000 And I could just totally imagine someone in the White House actually thinks it's time for Biden to go.
00:09:17.000 And he thinks we have to get him out there.
00:09:19.000 We have to say, you can beat this.
00:09:20.000 You can go to the press.
00:09:21.000 You can show them that you have it all together, knowing that he would go out there and just totally bomb the way that he did.
00:09:28.000 I'm not saying this is what happened.
00:09:29.000 I'm saying it's perfectly plausible to me that this could have happened because it was so sudden.
00:09:34.000 It was unannounced.
00:09:35.000 It was not planned.
00:09:36.000 And it was utterly disastrous.
00:09:38.000 Well, as you might know in the audience, that when people start losing mental acuity, when they start becoming senile, like Joe Biden apparently is, you also lose control of your emotions, your impulse control.
00:09:55.000 And that's what it seemed like to me.
00:09:57.000 He even, after delivering his statement, which was bad enough, where he seemingly forgot where Bo Biden's rosary was from, and he kind of paused and he might have gotten away with it after that moment.
00:10:11.000 He then takes questions, which he never does.
00:10:14.000 And then he's walking off and then he comes back on when he's getting shouted another question and then makes the gaffe about the president of Mexico being the president of Egypt.
00:10:24.000 So it was lack of discipline, impulse control, forgetful again, misquoting foreign leaders.
00:10:32.000 I mean, it had all the hallmarks of just a train wreck, and it was hard to watch, and it was embarrassing for our nation.
00:10:40.000 I really want to get some of these clips because they are just an unmitigated disaster for the Biden administration.
00:10:49.000 Hey, everybody, Charlie Kirk here.

00:11:47.000 That is goodranchers.com.
00:11:53.000 Blake, let's play some of this tape from this, you know, old man shouts at the room.
00:11:58.000 And I think it was actually, you know, all joking aside, I mean, there's got to be a very, very real discussion about the 25th Amendment happening in certain quarters of the Democrat Party.
00:12:10.000 But this was Joe Biden's attempt to sort of thwart that discussion, right?
00:12:17.000 He wanted to go out and sound forceful, command the room, and it was anything but.
00:12:23.000 So I'm just going to start with this clip of him yelling and pointing at a reporter who's questioning him about his mental acuity.
00:12:30.000 138.
00:12:32.000 Mr. President, for months when you were asked about your age, you would respond with the words, watch me.
00:12:38.000 Many American people have been watching and they have expressed concerns about your age.
00:12:43.000 That is your judgment.
00:12:44.000 That is your judgment.
00:12:46.000 That is not the judgment of the press.
00:12:48.000 They express concerns about your mental acuity.
00:12:50.000 They say that you are too old.
00:12:52.000 Mr. President, in December, you told me that you believe there are many other Democrats who could defeat Donald Trump.
00:12:58.000 So why does it have to be you now?
00:13:00.000 What is your answer to that question?
00:13:01.000 I'm not a qualified person in this country to be president of the United States and finish the job I started.
00:13:06.000 He's very angry.
00:13:07.000 That part wasn't so bad, I guess.
00:13:09.000 It is what I do think conservatives can make a mistake on is if they do argue that Biden is just 100% out of it all the time, you know, needs electrical shocks just to walk one foot in front of the other.
00:13:24.000 And it's really much more, and this is how it really is with old people who are losing it a bit, is they can seem great for an hour, a couple hours, the better part of a day, but then there's a period where they're just totally lost.
00:13:38.000 They're totally out of it.
00:13:40.000 They completely lose their bearings.
00:13:43.000 You know, they walk off with your shopping cart when they pass you in the aisle at the supermarket, as a friend of mine told me the other day.
00:13:49.000 And, you know, that's fine if you're just a normal person, but this is the president of the United States.
00:13:55.000 And as we'll see in the next clip here, you can transition in a moment to the guy who just can't even remember what decade it is or what country he's talking about.
00:14:06.000 So let's play number 146.
00:14:11.000 The conduct of the response in Gaza, in the Gaza Strip, has been over the top.
00:14:27.000 I think that as you know, initially, the president of Mexico, Cece, did not want to open up the gate to allow humanitarian material to get in.
00:14:42.000 I talked to him.
00:14:43.000 I convinced him to open the gate.
00:14:45.000 I talked to Bibi to open the gate on the Israeli side.
00:14:49.000 I guess we should be glad he didn't still think the Pharaoh was in charge of Egypt.
00:14:53.000 But getting the country wrong, they both have pyramids.
00:14:56.000 You can kind of understand how he might mix them up.
00:14:59.000 But that's just a few minutes after that, you know, that outburst where he's angry, old man angry, but did seem to have it together.
00:15:07.000 But now it's not even just that he mixed up the country.
00:15:09.000 He's mumbling.
00:15:11.000 He's just not nearly as alert.
00:15:13.000 And I think a lot of that is that it was a question not about what he'd been prepped to go out and talk about before this press conference.
00:15:20.000 It's just something he did to try to show that he still has it.
00:15:23.000 And as it turns out, he doesn't have it.
00:15:26.000 Well, and can you imagine being his press team in that moment, right?
00:15:30.000 They usually don't put him in the public eye until around 10 or 11 in the morning.
00:15:35.000 They often will put a lid at 4.
00:15:38.000 So, I mean, he's really got, to your earlier point, he's really got like a four to six hour window where they will use him in public, uh, in public events or to speak to the press.
00:15:50.000 And so, this is 745.
00:15:52.000 This is already past his go time.
00:15:54.000 And he had just attempted to leave the podium and walk off.
00:15:58.000 And then he got goaded by the media to come back, which was the really, the really, I mean, I was watching it live going, like, don't come back.
00:16:08.000 Don't come back.
00:16:09.000 And I, you know, I'm no fan of his.
00:16:11.000 I just, in that moment, I got emotionally wrapped up in the fact that I did not want to see him attempt to do something, you know, spontaneous because it always ends in disaster for him.
00:16:22.000 And he, you know, sure enough, he comes back and you could see him pause.
00:16:25.000 It was almost like you could see him losing his train of thought.
00:16:28.000 It's like a movie scene, the movie scene.
00:16:29.000 You know, he'd be walking off.
00:16:30.000 His staff will be watching on a TV camera triumphant, the musical play, and then suddenly he'll pause, the camera zooms in, and they just, no, no, don't do it.
00:16:40.000 Don't, don't come back.
00:16:42.000 And he goes back.
00:16:43.000 And now it's, now it's really bad.
00:16:46.000 It's telling to me how it's like a dam broke.
00:16:48.000 And a lot of people in the press, a lot of people in the Democratic Party who were saying, who have just ignored this topic studiously for a long time, don't talk about it, don't give Trump ammo, they're really panicking.
00:17:01.000 They're really sweating now.
00:17:05.000 Hey, everybody, Charlie Kirk here.
00:17:06.000 What an unbelievable start to 2024.
00:17:08.000 We had last month saving babies with pre-born by providing ultrasounds.
00:17:12.000 And we're doing again this year what we did last year.
00:17:14.000 We're going to stand for life because remaining silent in the face of the most radically pro-death administration is not an option.
00:17:19.000 As Sir Edmund Burke said, the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing, and we're not going to do nothing.
00:17:25.000 Your gift to pre-born will give a girl the truth about what's happening in her body so that she can make the right choice.
00:17:31.000 $280 can save 10 babies.
00:17:34.000 $28 a month can save a baby a month all year long.
00:17:37.000 And a $15,000 gift will provide a complete ultrasound machine that will save thousands of babies for years and years to come.
00:17:43.000 And will also save moms from a lifetime of pain and regret.
00:17:47.000 Call 833-850-2229.
00:17:49.000 That's 833-850-2229.
00:17:52.000 Or click on the pre-born banner at charliekirk.com.
00:17:55.000 That is charliekirk.com and click on the pre-born banner.
00:17:58.000 Also, save moms from a lifetime of pain and regret.
00:18:00.000 I'm a donor of this organization.
00:18:02.000 They're terrific.
00:18:02.000 Go to charliekirk.com, click on the pre-born banner.
00:18:06.000 This is, on one hand, I mean, admittedly, it's sort of funny.
00:18:11.000 If you're a critic of this Biden administration, the Biden regime, as we like to call them, you're sort of enjoying this comeuppance.
00:18:19.000 At the same time, let's not forget the fact that this represents grave security concerns for us internationally.
00:18:26.000 There's wars waging.
00:18:28.000 It also raises legal questions.
00:18:31.000 So Mayor Garland puts a special counsel in place.
00:18:33.000 Basically, he says that Joe Biden, yes, broke the law, but we're not going to charge him because he's forgetful and well-intentioned old grandpa, right?
00:18:44.000 What does that mean about President Trump, Jack Smith's case?
00:18:48.000 President Trump is protected by the Presidential Records Act.
00:18:51.000 Apparently, so is Joe Biden.
00:18:53.000 Blake, you actually informed me of that, that the law was changed.
00:18:56.000 In 2014, they changed it.
00:18:58.000 So it's just vice presidential records are the exact same as presidential records.
00:19:02.000 So whatever applies to one applies to the other.
00:19:05.000 Which is interesting.
00:19:06.000 So it creates another problem for the get Trump movement, the lawfare assault on President Trump.
00:19:14.000 But then it also raises many questions within the left-wing media apparatus.
00:19:19.000 It raises a lot of questions.
00:19:22.000 Actually, just from a pure political standpoint, are they actually going to run Joe Biden or are they going to get past the convention and then he's going to bow out?
00:19:30.000 I mean, there are 25th Amendment is now in play.
00:19:33.000 Again, we said earlier the day started with oral arguments yesterday in the Supreme Court that were based around the 14th Amendment and removing Trump from the ballot in places like Colorado, Maine, elsewhere.
00:19:45.000 There's many other states that were fielding similar legal questions.
00:19:51.000 And then the day ended with sort of a 25th Amendment question of whether or not you could remove Joe Biden from office.
00:19:57.000 And so I want to play some of these clips here.
00:20:00.000 This one is, I think, I think really telling because it gets inside the mind of Joe Biden.
00:20:07.000 And we've often heard, and there's been press reports.
00:20:10.000 I know Axios did a big thing on this, that Joe Biden is actually a really like angry, prone to using very colorful language.
00:20:18.000 We'll just say it that way, in private.
00:20:20.000 And it strikes against this kindly, well-intentioned old grandpa caricature that many, I think, are tempted to have towards him.
00:20:29.000 I know Charlie last night tweeted out that we should not feel bad for this guy.
00:20:33.000 He's a walking disaster.
00:20:35.000 He's a corrupt disaster.
00:20:36.000 And I think that's spot on.
00:20:37.000 But let's go ahead and play CUT 136.
00:20:40.000 This is apparently, this is CNN reporting on what was going on behind closed doors when Robert Hurr's report came out from the special counsel.
00:20:48.000 136.
00:20:50.000 Fury behind closed doors.
00:20:51.000 We have new details this morning about President Biden's angry reaction in a private meeting after the special counsel's report exonerated him of legal wrongdoing, but then put in the report that he wouldn't be charged because he's an elderly man with memory issues.
00:21:08.000 And even went on to say that he didn't remember even within several years when his son Bo died.
00:21:15.000 The president was livid about this, reportedly, and in a meeting with Democrats in Virginia, lashed out saying, how could I effing forget that?
00:21:26.000 The reaction at CNN in particular really stands out because so MSNBC is a left-wing news network.
00:21:35.000 They cover things from the perspective of the left.
00:21:38.000 CNN's a little different.
00:21:40.000 CNN is a Trump deranged news network.
00:21:45.000 They were kind of in the middle during the Obama era, shifted more and more left over time, but they really just went totally berserk about Trump, remained berserk the entire Trump presidency, are still Trump berserk now.
00:21:58.000 They need to be because their ratings depend on it.
00:22:00.000 And so it's just telling to me how they reacted.
00:22:04.000 In the cold open, we saw Jake Tapper seeming really genuinely concerned about Biden's state.
00:22:12.000 He was whoever he was speaking with, he was really grilling them about, he was mentioning Biden mistaking all those leaders.
00:22:18.000 And I was reading CNN on my phone.
00:22:20.000 I love that clip.
00:22:21.000 Yeah.
00:22:21.000 Do we want to play it again?
00:22:22.000 Sure.
00:22:23.000 Yeah.
00:22:23.000 It's with Dan Goldman.
00:22:24.000 And I think I mentioned in the chat, I was like, apparently, Dan Goldman here is talking with Jake Tapper, and Jake Tapper is grilling him about his mental acuity, Joe Biden's mental acuity.
00:22:33.000 137.
00:22:35.000 The memory lapses that President Biden is described as having in this report, this is not the first time anybody's raised issues of President Biden's acuity.
00:22:45.000 And in fact, twice this week, President Biden referenced European leaders, conversations he had with them in 2021 when both those European leaders had long been dead.
00:22:57.000 He confused Macron with Mitterrand.
00:23:00.000 He confused Helmet Cole with Angela Merkel.
00:23:03.000 Are you really acting as if there's nothing to these issues or these concerns?
00:23:10.000 Well, I saw from the White House counsel that they disputed this recollection of the interview.
00:23:17.000 And I will tell you, Jake, I was in Israel on October 7th, as you know, and President Biden was nice enough to call me.
00:23:24.000 And I can tell you, this was the day before that interview.
00:23:26.000 I can tell you he was sharper than anyone I've spoken to.
00:23:30.000 So that's Jake Tapper doing that.
00:23:32.000 I was reading CNN on my phone last night, and this was the headline they had at that time.
00:23:36.000 This was around midnight.
00:23:38.000 Biden rips special counsel and blames his staff.
00:23:42.000 Biden forcefully criticized the special counsel's accusations, including that he has memory issues.
00:23:48.000 Moments later, he mixed up the country's country Egypt's leader runs.
00:23:54.000 And that was just one of them.
00:23:56.000 And they had several others.
00:23:58.000 They had a fact check.
00:24:01.000 Let me see here.
00:24:02.000 They have an article right now, fact check.
00:24:04.000 Biden makes three false claims about his handling of classified information.
00:24:08.000 That came out very early this morning.
00:24:11.000 There is like a real offensive from CNN.
00:24:14.000 They seem to really be seizing on this.
00:24:17.000 They seem genuinely accusatory towards the president in a way that we very rarely see.
00:24:24.000 And this is right after the Supreme Court hearings, as we mentioned, which got all of this hype and yet went very, very badly for the left, so much that they were despairing in the morning.
00:24:35.000 And then in the afternoon, they get this extra body blow.
00:24:40.000 And like I said, I don't believe there's any centralized conspiracy.
00:24:44.000 I don't think there's a cabal that runs the Democratic Party that would be able to replace Biden.
00:24:49.000 But I think we're seeing the point where a lot of people on the left are publicly panicking about Biden's quality as a candidate.
00:24:57.000 And so we'll see them publicly try to pressure perhaps Biden to bow out in some way.
00:25:04.000 Yeah.
00:25:04.000 And I think we are tempted to look at the left as a hive mind that they are working in perfect unison.
00:25:14.000 And that's just not really true at all.
00:25:17.000 Now, they are more together than the right.
00:25:19.000 The right is, I mean, the right, there's so much infighting on the right.
00:25:24.000 It's frustrating for a lot of us.
00:25:26.000 I know a lot of the viewers, when they see little skirmishes on Twitter or X or whatever, they get frustrated.
00:25:32.000 Like, why can't we all just focus on the right thing and point our guns towards the bad guys on the left, right?
00:25:39.000 Metaphorically speaking.
00:25:41.000 But the truth is there is infighting on the left.
00:25:44.000 They do a better job of keeping it under wraps, I would say.
00:25:48.000 But the far progressive wing versus the blue dog Democrats, the moderate wing, and then everybody in between, they tend to kind of act in unison, but there is different factions within this.
00:26:00.000 And I would say, you know, Gavin Newsom's name was trending right after this presser.
00:26:05.000 Then Michelle Obama, I think, is trending now.
00:26:07.000 I mean, there is definitely a move afoot to say, hey, can we put somebody else in place?
00:26:12.000 I think some of the reactions from the reporters in that room were even self-interested, where they're like, can you please get out of the way?
00:26:19.000 Because you're going to lose.
00:26:20.000 You're losing.
00:26:21.000 You know, it's important to remember that Trump lost 2020 by 42,000 votes across like two or three, three states.
00:26:29.000 And, you know, we say lost sort of in air quotes with all the mass mail-ins, but whatever.
00:26:34.000 He never won.
00:26:35.000 He was never leading in the polls nationally or in the battleground states.
00:26:38.000 And you have polls like NBC.
00:26:41.000 They've pulled this head-to-head, Biden to Trump, 16 times over the last couple of years.
00:26:46.000 And only starting in November, and did Trump take his first lead ever.
00:26:51.000 And now it's widened to about six points, which is beyond the sampling error size.
00:26:58.000 So you've got real concern that not only are you having a very unpopular candidate, but he's showing mental decline that is extremely noticeable for the vast majority of the population.
00:27:10.000 And you also have other candidates waiting in the wings like Gavin Newsom, who has basically said to the world, like, hey, guys, I'm ready.
00:27:17.000 You know, tap me.
00:27:18.000 I'm, you know, tap me in, coach.
00:27:19.000 I'm ready to go.
00:27:21.000 And so there is, but so I think these factions are playing it off of each other.
00:27:25.000 And I don't, I think, yes, there is a move afoot, but what I've heard consistently is that Joe Biden is one of the most stubborn men that you have ever met.
00:27:35.000 And he will not be dragged out of this.
00:27:37.000 He is stubborn.
00:27:38.000 And you combine that with the fact that he is declining and you do have impulse control.
00:27:43.000 You have anger control issues.
00:27:45.000 And he's doggedly going to stay in this fight.
00:27:48.000 And to your point earlier, some parts of the day, he probably seems up to the task.
00:27:53.000 That window, though, narrows as he goes on.
00:27:56.000 And one other thing that we haven't talked about, and I haven't heard anybody mention this recently, Blake, is the fact that Joe Biden has had health problems in his brain, right?
00:28:06.000 I mean, I'm going to look this up as soon as you start talking, but he's had, I believe, two surgeries, brain surgeries in his past.
00:28:16.000 Yeah, he had aneurysms in the 80s, I believe.
00:28:18.000 That's right.
00:28:20.000 Yes.
00:28:20.000 So, and he wasn't a very bright guy.
00:28:24.000 We don't talk about this much anymore, but Biden just lies about things a lot.
00:28:29.000 And one of the things he would lie about is he would talk about he had best grades.
00:28:32.000 I think he claimed he graduated at the top of his class in either undergrad or law school.
00:28:37.000 And in reality, he was near the bottom of it, I believe.
00:28:40.000 He was never a good student.
00:28:42.000 He was never a person setting the world on fire with his intellect.
00:28:47.000 And now his middling intellect is in decline.
00:28:51.000 And that was really his only, like his charismatic personality, I guess, was his main asset as a politician.
00:28:58.000 And now he's just this angry old guy.
00:29:01.000 And they're looking in terror that they have, we're nine months out from an election day.
00:29:07.000 As you said, Trump is up in the polls now for the first time against Biden basically ever.
00:29:12.000 All the momentum seems to be on his side.
00:29:15.000 He's getting just the right amount of opposition for him to get that anti-fragile gain of him against the world.
00:29:23.000 But now he's destroying this ballot, this effort to take him off the ballot.
00:29:27.000 The efforts to take him out through criminal trials are blowing up, and they're all blowing up in comical, different ways.
00:29:35.000 You know, the supreme, you know, Fannie Willis has her scandal.
00:29:38.000 We're a week out from that hearing.
00:29:39.000 That could be an amazing story.
00:29:41.000 That's coming up.
00:29:42.000 Jack Smith is going to get delayed past the election.
00:29:45.000 New York is nobody cares about New York.
00:29:48.000 And I think that's for a reason.
00:29:48.000 You don't hear about it.
00:29:50.000 And the entire ironically, ironically, their biggest win has been this EG and Carroll, you know, drive-by shooting of the justice system.
00:30:01.000 The only win they've had is they've taken money away from a guy who is most famous for having a ton of money.
00:30:08.000 Putin Tucker.
00:30:09.000 All right.
00:30:10.000 So I agree with something you said, Blake.
00:30:14.000 As you're watching it, it was really about Putin's strategy, his pitch to the global audience.
00:30:21.000 He was definitely trying to alpha on Tucker.
00:30:24.000 He made a little jab at Tucker saying you didn't get into the CIA, you know, and thank goodness, you know.
00:30:30.000 He starts by saying, is this going to be a serious conversation or a talk show?
00:30:37.000 Alluding to the fact that, you know, I think he knew this was Tucker leveling up.
00:30:43.000 I don't remember Tucker doing an interview like this, right?
00:30:46.000 This is sort of the realm that is the Barbara Walters, the, you know, the, Megan Kelly actually did one with Putin, if I recall correctly.
00:30:58.000 But this is, you know, this is a Chris Wallace type thing.
00:31:01.000 So here's Tucker talking to one of the most consequential people in the world.
00:31:06.000 And they sit down for two hours.
00:31:09.000 And I actually think it was a fantastic interview.
00:31:12.000 I watched it three times.
00:31:14.000 I do think Tucker could have been, he could have made a choice to be more confrontational, but I thought he did it.
00:31:20.000 I thought he threaded the needle really well.
00:31:22.000 He challenged, he pushed back.
00:31:24.000 He asked questions about Nordstream.
00:31:25.000 Why did you do it?
00:31:27.000 Have you put NATO in a corner where now they can't save face and get to a peace deal?
00:31:33.000 We also learned that new details, at least from Putin's perspective about the peace deal that's been on the table.
00:31:41.000 And, you know, putting aside some of the wild history mischaracterizations about Poland and the Nazis, I thought that it was a very substantive discussion.
00:31:53.000 And I thought Tucker comported himself brilliantly.
00:31:56.000 Well, it's already a legendary interview just because of the mimetic content we're getting from it.
00:32:03.000 We're getting these jokes, you know, the way it's like, oh, well, you explain American history.
00:32:08.000 Well, first we have to start with the, you know, the cooling of the earth after it formed four billion years ago as, you know, the stardust coalesced together.
00:32:16.000 And then eventually you get multicellular life forms.
00:32:19.000 The way he approaches it, it's sort of funny that that is how people are reacting to it, though, because the description, as Tyler was explaining yesterday on our stream, Putin's description of Russian history, it's not super deep if you're Russian.
00:32:34.000 It's much more, you know, if you're a Russian middle schooler, how you might summarize your country's history.
00:32:40.000 The way we would say, talk about Jamestown and then the Mayflower and then the Sons of Liberty leading into the American Revolution.
00:32:48.000 That's a lot of the high points he's hitting.
00:32:50.000 He's hitting the foundation of the Rus people that the Russians come from, the Christianization of them.
00:32:55.000 Those are the two big foundational marks in Russian history.
00:32:59.000 And then he jumps pretty quickly forward to stuff that's at least more relevant to Ukraine.
00:33:05.000 Well, his basic pitch, though, right, is that Ukraine is a synthetic creation of global powers throughout the years, that it doesn't have a cultural core or history like the Russian people do.
00:33:21.000 And really that there's a dividing line of the Napo River, which anything to the east of it has actually always been Russia.
00:33:27.000 It's always been considered Russia.
00:33:28.000 Anything to the left of it, something else, right?
00:33:31.000 I mean, that was his basic.
00:33:32.000 That's the claim he's making.
00:33:33.000 And I think setting aside whether it's true or not, I think what's most interesting is this is his big interview of the last two years.
00:33:41.000 He knows a lot of people will watch this.
00:33:44.000 And that's what he argues.
00:33:45.000 And to be, and he's offering to have Tucker read these documents from the 1600s.
00:33:51.000 I can have them translated for you.
00:33:53.000 He kind of came off to me like COVID hit.
00:33:58.000 And so he locked himself away in his basement.
00:34:00.000 He was very scared of COVID, we know.
00:34:02.000 He locks himself away in his basement, and he's reading all these historical texts, and he's building up all these grievances that he already has towards the West.
00:34:10.000 And he's really convinced that this 300-year historical, 300-year-old historical point proves that he's correct on this big issue.
00:34:18.000 And why won't the world listen?
00:34:20.000 They're denying him.
00:34:22.000 What's really amazing is we have this image of Putin as a puppet master that is really popular to push.
00:34:27.000 And instead, Putin comes off as a true believer in this arcane historical point.
00:34:32.000 And that's why he needs to wage this war that's killed so many people.
00:34:36.000 Yeah, I definitely think he's been wounded by the West.
00:34:39.000 And as I watched it the third time, I thought to myself, if you're the West, how do you trust this man?
00:34:45.000 He's too cagey.
00:34:48.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
