00:00:00.000 Hey everybody, welcome to the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:00:01.000 Andrew Colvett in for Charlie.
00:00:04.000 Today, we have an action-packed hour here where we break down all the ways in which Michael Cohen has had a very bad couple of days: how his testimony doesn't line up, what other witnesses are saying about him, and why it's all a sham trial brought against Donald Trump simply because his name is Donald Trump.
00:00:23.000 Then we break down the inflation numbers that just hit today.
00:00:26.000 How sticky is this inflation?
00:00:28.000 Is it going anywhere?
00:00:29.000 And why is Biden Omics fueling it?
00:00:31.000 We sit down with Scott Besant, who is being floated as a possible Treasury Secretary under President Trump, should he win in November, who's also the CEO and founder of Key Square Group, who, by the way, has a history with George Soros.
00:00:46.000 Kid you not.
00:00:47.000 He breaks it all down for us.

00:03:13.000 We're going to start with Michael Cohen.
00:03:16.000 Michael Cohen is an absolute dirtbag.
00:03:20.000 I mean, there's really no other way to put it.
00:03:23.000 And when we talk about just what a dirtbag he is, it's truly hard to kind of summarize all those details and just what a scumbag he is.
00:03:35.000 And this is the star witness.
00:03:37.000 I think Charlie tweeted out yesterday that you've got the star witness is a convicted perjurer and a disbarred attorney.
00:03:45.000 And his testimony followed right after Stormy Daniels, an actual porn star.
00:03:51.000 So, you know, this is kind of complicated business.
00:03:54.000 You know, the Democrats are known for their star power, but it doesn't seem like they have much of it in this case.
00:04:00.000 So, one by one, I'm going to go through a couple details because there is so much happening behind closed doors.
00:04:06.000 They're not letting in the press to videotape this.
00:04:10.000 So, we have a few photographers.
00:04:12.000 We have press reports.
00:04:14.000 People are trying to follow this.
00:04:17.000 But it's much more difficult to follow along since there isn't recorded video of each of these interactions.
00:04:24.000 But Michael Cohen is currently on the witness stand.
00:04:27.000 He's getting crossed by Trump's attorneys.
00:04:31.000 But yesterday was the first time that the prosecution had a chance to go over all of their case with Michael Cohen, the so-called star witness.
00:04:40.000 But he's had a rough couple of days.
00:04:42.000 This guy has had a rough couple of days.
00:04:45.000 Witness after witness apparently just detests this human being.
00:04:52.000 You've got media reports saying he was sweaty, he was nervous, and everything felt overly rehearsed.
00:05:01.000 And there might be a good reason for why it was so rehearsed.
00:05:05.000 The prosecution realized that they have a dirtbag, a scumbag on the stand, a convicted perjurer, and nothing can go wrong.
00:05:13.000 So this was literally canned answer after canned answer as if he knew the exact answer he was supposed to give verbatim each time the prosecution would ask him a question.
00:05:24.000 And, you know, that there might be a really good reason for that.
00:05:27.000 Let's play Cut 55, Dan Goldman.
00:05:30.000 Because he is an admitted perjurer.
00:05:33.000 He is an admitted liar.
00:05:35.000 He has testified inconsistently on the stand.
00:05:38.000 So he's either lying one time or the other.
00:05:41.000 And he will be really skewered on cross-examination for that.
00:05:46.000 Yeah, so this Dan Goldman is not exactly the most squeaky, clean congressman that you could imagine.
00:05:55.000 He is absolute disgrace out of New York, and he's just a total spokeshole for the regime.
00:05:59.000 And yet, here, here, Dan Goldman is even admitting this guy has a lot of strengths against him.
00:06:06.000 Not so good.
00:06:08.000 Later in that interview, Dan Goldman says he rehearsed with Michael Cohen.
00:06:14.000 What the heck is Dan Goldman doing rehearsing with Michael Cohen?
00:06:18.000 So he's a grifter.
00:06:19.000 He's a convicted perjurer.
00:06:21.000 He's got no credibility.
00:06:22.000 And you've got to hear this Hope Hicks line.
00:06:24.000 This Hope Hicks line, I think, is just so good, so telling.
00:06:30.000 You know, to use the words of an MSNBC legal analyst last week talking about Stormy Daniels, I'll use it here.
00:06:36.000 It was a sick burn.
00:06:38.000 She testified that Cohen used to like to call himself Mr. Fixit, but it was only because he first broke it.
00:06:45.000 Ah, yeah, that's a pretty good line, actually.
00:06:49.000 So apparently, Michael Cohen was going around the office saying, I'm Mr. Fixit, I'm the fixer.
00:06:53.000 And Hope Hicks said, this was literally just all in his head.
00:06:58.000 This is what he liked to think of himself.
00:07:01.000 So we then get to this so-called bombshell recording that we've been hearing about.
00:07:06.000 And if you're in this audience, maybe you haven't heard about it because we really didn't care.
00:07:09.000 There's no crime that they're even alleging.
00:07:11.000 So this whole thing is sort of an exercise in vanity.
00:07:17.000 There's no crime.
00:07:18.000 They still might convict him because it's New York.
00:07:20.000 And we have a corrupt judge whose daughter's making money off of getting Trump.
00:07:27.000 But nevertheless, this bombshell was something that the press was reporting.
00:07:31.000 So I'm going to play the bombshell recording for you and we're going to talk about it.
00:07:36.000 Go ahead and play Cut 56.
00:07:39.000 I need to open up a company for the transfer of all of that info regarding our friend David, you know, so that I'm going to do that right away.
00:07:50.000 Actually, come up to me, and I've spoken to Alan Weiselberg about how to set the whole thing up with funding.
00:08:00.000 Yes.
00:08:01.000 And it's all the stuff.
00:08:04.000 All the stuff.
00:08:05.000 Because you never know where that company never knows where he's going to be.
00:08:08.000 Correct.
00:08:09.000 So I'm all over that.
00:08:10.000 And I spoke to Alan about it when it comes time for the financing, which will be listening.
00:08:16.000 We'll have to pay you.
00:08:18.000 So I'll pay the kid.
00:08:19.000 No, I got no, no, no.
00:08:22.000 So did you, did you hear that?
00:08:23.000 So Trump literally says, what financing?
00:08:27.000 That's the bombshell.
00:08:29.000 And there is a version that I've seen online where there are subtitles to that.
00:08:33.000 So if you're watching on the stream, I apologize.
00:08:35.000 But there was, he says, what financing?
00:08:40.000 And then he says, no, no, no, I got it taken care of.
00:08:43.000 And then Trump says, with cash.
00:08:45.000 But here's the key.
00:08:47.000 Cohen was leading Trump.
00:08:49.000 So Cohen is supposed to be the attorney.
00:08:53.000 And he's leading Trump on a prescription to fix a problem.
00:08:59.000 So Trump is taking advice of counsel.
00:09:02.000 But then there's this other, you know, sort of elephant in the room here that Michael Cohen is recording his client.
00:09:09.000 Isn't that illegal?
00:09:10.000 Maybe not in the state of New York, but you would think it's at least highly, highly unethical.
00:09:15.000 So that's the bombshell record.
00:09:17.000 Trump didn't even know what financing.
00:09:19.000 He was like, what financing?
00:09:21.000 There's a few other, there's a few other details here that are worth covering.
00:09:25.000 The prosecution tried to link payments, alleged payments to Karen McDougall to Stormy Daniels, to the Stormy Daniels, to establish a pattern of activity.
00:09:36.000 But it turns out there was never any payments to McDougal that were ever made.
00:09:42.000 Then the timeline, the timeline's all over the place.
00:09:45.000 The evidence proves that Trump, the Trump camp knew about the Stormy Daniels extortion attempt well before the campaign ever kicked off.
00:09:54.000 So before Trump came down the golden escalator.
00:09:58.000 And then the reimbursement payments were not made until well after the 2016 election.
00:10:05.000 And by the way, they were not made from campaign accounts, which is the whole allegation here, at least as we can understand it.
00:10:11.000 Nobody seems to know what the actual crime is because he's not been convicted for a federal crime.
00:10:17.000 Then there's this, which I think should be the entire kit and caboodle.
00:10:21.000 Cohen has stated now on the stand that the payment was lawful and not a campaign contribution.
00:10:28.000 Doesn't this end the case right there?
00:10:30.000 This is a man who's lied to Congress.
00:10:32.000 He's admitted lying on the witness stand before.
00:10:35.000 He's a convicted perjurer.
00:10:36.000 He's lied to the IRS.
00:10:38.000 He's lied to his banker.
00:10:39.000 He's lied to his client.
00:10:41.000 This is a scumbag, disbarred attorney, and it's the prosecution's star witness.
00:10:46.000 There is no there there.
00:10:49.000 There's no there there.
00:10:50.000 And in the words of Fareed Zachariah, if his name wasn't Donald Trump, this case would never have been brought.
00:10:58.000 And that is the truth.
00:11:02.000 Hey, this is Charlie Kirk, and I know a lot of you have been suffering under the Biden economy.
00:11:06.000 Recently, school loan payments have been reinstated.
00:11:09.000 And for many, it's adding thousands to their monthly expenses.
00:11:12.000 My friends, Andrew Del Ray and Todd of Akien, they're amazing.
00:11:14.000 They really helped me through a tough, tough situation recently.
00:11:17.000 They've been excellent.
00:11:18.000 They're ethical.
00:11:19.000 They're just really great people.
00:11:21.000 They're followers of Jesus Christ.
00:11:23.000 And our worldviews are the same.
00:11:25.000 I love them.
00:11:26.000 And so please go to Andrew and Todd.com.
00:11:27.000 Interest rates are coming down and they may be able to lower your overall payment.
00:11:30.000 In fact, one of our team members said, Charlie, is it time to me to own a home?
00:11:33.000 I sat down, I went to the numbers.
00:11:34.000 I said, get in the owner game.
00:11:36.000 Honestly, enough renting.
00:11:37.000 You are burning your money renting.
00:11:38.000 It might be a little bit more to own, but you're building equity.
00:11:40.000 That's money you'll have for the rest of your life.
00:11:43.000 Perhaps a reverse mortgage is a perfect solution.
00:11:45.000 It's about expertise you could trust in times like this.
00:11:47.000 I can't tell you how helpful they've been for me personally.
00:11:49.000 They've just been excellent.
00:11:50.000 Andrew and Todd, I'm honored to call them friends.
00:11:52.000 We hang out when I go to Orange County together.
00:11:54.000 They're really great.
00:11:55.000 So say, Charlie sent me 888-888-1172.
00:11:58.000 That's 888-888-1172.
00:12:00.000 They helped me through a mortgage situation recently that was super complex and moving pieces, and it was really, really tough.
00:12:06.000 And other banks, by the way, wanted nothing to do with it, and they crushed it for me.
00:12:10.000 10 out of 10.
00:12:10.000 AndrewNTodd.com.
00:12:12.000 So check it out right now, andrewandTodd.com.
00:12:16.000 So, first of all, I learned a lot from being in there in person.
00:12:19.000 It is one of the most depressing places I have been in my life, but it is fitting because the only thing more depressing than the environment of that courtroom is what's actually happening in there.
00:12:27.000 It's straight out of a Kafka novel.
00:12:29.000 The prosecution's main strategy appears to be to bore the jurors into submission.
00:12:34.000 And if you look in that direction, sadly, it may appear to actually be working.
00:12:39.000 Now, I would like for anybody, anybody here in the press, anybody at home, anybody in MSNBC or the media afterwards, to clearly state what exactly is the crime that Donald Trump committed.
00:12:52.000 Oh, wait.
00:12:54.000 That's Vivek.
00:12:56.000 Ramaswamy, who was pictured flanking Donald Trump heading into the courtroom this morning.
00:13:02.000 It was also Byron Donalds, Doug Bergum, and yesterday we had JD Vance.
00:13:07.000 I think Ken Paxton was the first sort of national conservative that was joining President Trump in that trial just to be moral support.
00:13:16.000 I think it's great optics.
00:13:18.000 I love it.
00:13:19.000 I think everybody that is supporting this president that has a national platform should make a pilgrimage over to New York, get behind President Trump, show them that the people are behind him.
00:13:30.000 Now, it's funny.
00:13:31.000 I was checking the email at freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:13:33.000 Freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:13:35.000 Keep sending them as the show goes on.
00:13:36.000 We check them as we go.
00:13:39.000 A lot of you are dazzled at the blizzard of information that I threw at you in the first segment.
00:13:46.000 I apologize.
00:13:47.000 It's just there is, to Vivek's point, they're trying to bore the jurors into submission.
00:13:55.000 So their eyes roll over.
00:13:56.000 They glaze over.
00:13:58.000 It's hard to keep up with all these details, but the details are important because time and time again, they reveal that this is a sham kangaroo court.
00:14:05.000 And to quote Vivek right there, it's Kafka-esque.
00:14:09.000 The key thing here is to emphasize the kangaroo nature of this court itself.
00:14:16.000 He is charged, Trump is charged, with covering up a crime he's never been charged with.
00:14:21.000 And in a city where Alvin Bragg, Soros-funded Alvin Bragg, has literally been the architect of a massive crime wave and downgraded multiple felonies, 50% of felonies, down to misdemeanors.
00:14:36.000 He's upgraded a misdemeanor to a felony here based on a federal statute that Trump has never been charged with.
00:14:42.000 This is crazy.
00:14:44.000 I mean, there's no other way to say it other than this is crazy.
00:14:48.000 So I promised you a clip.
00:14:50.000 This is rep Dan Goldman, your congressman, heir to the Levi's fortune, one of the most disgraceful congressmen that you will ever encounter.
00:14:59.000 He's literally a spokeshole.
00:15:00.000 They give him a little talking sheet and he's like, go on CNN, go on MSNBC and say these things.
00:15:06.000 And Dan Goldman probably says, I don't know anything about this.
00:15:09.000 Is this true?
00:15:10.000 For sure, it's true.
00:15:10.000 Don't even check it.
00:15:12.000 Don't even use Google.
00:15:14.000 Just say it.
00:15:14.000 Just say it.
00:15:15.000 Because if you say it, then, you know, we can put it on air.
00:15:19.000 It's complete propaganda.
00:15:20.000 It's utter spin.
00:15:21.000 It's gross.
00:15:22.000 The man is gross.
00:15:23.000 If you just look at him, it just gives you the heebie-jeebies.
00:15:26.000 Go with your gut on that, by the way, as an aside.
00:15:29.000 If you meet somebody like a Dan Goldman that just makes you feel creepy, gives you that weird ick, just run away.
00:15:37.000 Play Cup 49.
00:15:39.000 I would echo what Claire said, that, and I have deposed Michael Cohen.
00:15:44.000 Have met with him a number of times to prepare him.
00:15:49.000 This was different testimony than what his demeanor was during the AG's case.
00:15:55.000 This is different than he has been in the past.
00:15:58.000 But the question is not how he is on direct examination.
00:16:02.000 The question is how he is on cross-examination.
00:16:05.000 All right.
00:16:05.000 So he said one true thing there, and that is that the question is, how is he going to perform on cross-examination?
00:16:11.000 So he's getting grilled right now.
00:16:13.000 So we're going to find out as we go what the details are.
00:16:16.000 But this congressman just admitted on national TV.
00:16:21.000 He went off the talking points, by the way.
00:16:23.000 He left a script that he has been rehearsing Cohen's testimony.
00:16:30.000 Why?
00:16:31.000 What the heck does a congressman in New York have to do with Cohen's testimony in the Trump trial?
00:16:39.000 And by the way, he did say he's a convicted perjurer.
00:16:42.000 He's a felon.
00:16:43.000 He's a liar.
00:16:44.000 He's a fraud.
00:16:45.000 All of these things.
00:16:47.000 You only rehearse if you're lying.
00:16:52.000 That's the problem.
00:16:53.000 Cohen's told so many lies, he can't keep track of them.
00:16:57.000 Meanwhile, he's marketing this trial on his TikTok live streams, which are hilarious, by the way.
00:17:05.000 Ryan, you should pull some of those.
00:17:06.000 They're hilarious.
00:17:07.000 Wearing a Trump shirt with Trump behind bars, selling merch.
00:17:12.000 This is his big moment to get back at his boss who was so good to him.
00:17:17.000 He's even admitted on the stand.
00:17:18.000 He loved working there.
00:17:19.000 And now he's going to get him.
00:17:22.000 They're literally threatening our civilization with this guy.
00:17:27.000 Consider that.
00:17:31.000 Folks, so many people I know are disheartened that our country seems to have forgotten the importance of citizenship and they wonder how a strong sense of citizenship might be revived.
00:17:40.000 That's why my friends at Hillsdale College have produced a free online course on this topic, American Citizenship and Its Decline.
00:17:47.000 Taught by historian Victor Davis Hansen, the course traces the history of citizenship and explains how it is undermined in America today by open borders, by identity politics, by the administrative state, and by globalization.
00:18:00.000 Americans taking the course will gain a deeper insight about the connection between citizenship and freedom, an insight they can share with their family members, friends, and neighbors.
00:18:09.000 Hillsdale's free online courses are an important component of Hillsdale's mission to reach and teach increasing millions of people on behalf of liberty and the American way of life.

00:18:36.000 I'm going to be joined by a legend of Wall Street, literal legend, Scott Besent, CEO and founder of Key Square Group.
00:18:45.000 Scott, welcome to the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:18:47.000 Hey, thanks for having me.
00:18:48.000 It's a real pleasure to be on.
00:18:51.000 Well, it's a pleasure to have you.
00:18:52.000 Now, Scott, I am going to get to the inflation news, but I was looking through your bio, and, you know, I'd heard so much over the years about George Soros and how he shorted Sterling.
00:19:06.000 And it was like, you know, this, this, you know, I mean, it's big story when you're talking about George Soros, who's become such a boogeyman in our political discourse these days.
00:19:16.000 He's one of the biggest funders of far-left causes.
00:19:19.000 And you worked with him.
00:19:21.000 I did.
00:19:22.000 You know, I did.
00:19:23.000 But, you know, I think what's fascinating is that of three CIOs, one is also a very large Trump donor, and one is one of the largest Republican Senate donors.
00:19:39.000 So, You know, we've seen the machine for the inside, and you know, we know what it is.
00:19:47.000 Wow.
00:19:47.000 Well, that's fascinating.
00:19:49.000 I mean, genuinely curious, and I don't fault you for it.
00:19:52.000 I know you've been very public in your political disagreements with Soros.
00:19:57.000 So, hat tip to that.
00:19:59.000 But so, so let's dive into the numbers here, Scott.
00:20:03.000 So, we, you know, inflation we were told was going to be transitory, and it's proving anything but.
00:20:11.000 So, walk our audience through what numbers came out today, and what does it tell us about inflation, how sticky it is, how hot it is.
00:20:18.000 Yeah, it is.
00:20:19.000 Look, you know, what they call team transitory, that it's just a complete breakdown in analysis.
00:20:27.000 And let's go back to the original sin and then get to where we are now.
00:20:33.000 This was a choice that the Biden administration made.
00:20:37.000 They wanted to spend, spend, spend, and somehow, you know, have magical thinking that this wouldn't lead to inflation.
00:20:47.000 And, look, that maybe we could make the case that the original $2 trillion with a T, the CARES Act, you know, during COVID, nobody really knew what was happening.
00:21:00.000 You know, households were unsteady.
00:21:03.000 You know, I don't have that much of a problem with that.
00:21:06.000 But then they piled on three, four, five.
00:21:11.000 We got up to $5 trillion.
00:21:13.000 And then they actually wanted to spend seven.
00:21:17.000 And that got rolled back.
00:21:21.000 But this just set off the great inflation.
00:21:25.000 And between the Federal Reserve and the Treasury, they've inflicted this on the American people.
00:21:32.000 And I think a good way for your viewers to think about it is if we rewind to under President Trump, why did we have strong non-inflationary growth?
00:21:48.000 So the Trump tax cuts were a private sector solution and they caused the upward demand shock, but it was met by the supply response of deregulation.
00:22:02.000 So you had a supply-side solution.
00:22:06.000 So really the inflation never got above 2.2%.
00:22:13.000 Under Biden, we had this, what I think is very unhealthy demand shock generated by government spending.
00:22:22.000 And by the way, we are still running these gigantic deficits.
00:22:29.000 Up until last month, we were adding a trillion dollars in debt every hundred days.
00:22:34.000 And it's a disgrace, but to your question on why does this inflation keep coming back?
00:22:45.000 They're goosing the economy, but they've, rather than decreasing regulation, they've increased regulations.
00:22:54.000 Labor regulation, industry regulation, they've regulated everything except immigration.
00:23:03.000 So there's nothing to stop this upward push.
00:23:08.000 So we keep getting these bouts of recurring inflation.
00:23:13.000 And so today's inflation tells you that this is what companies pay for their products.
00:23:22.000 We'll get CPI tomorrow.
00:23:24.000 I don't know whether the number is going to be hot in line.
00:23:30.000 But the important thing to think about is what is the accumulated price level?
00:23:36.000 What are American households paying for, you know, since Biden came in office?
00:23:44.000 And it's about 20% higher, and wages haven't kept up with that.
00:23:50.000 And a friend of mine, Jason Trennard at a firm called Strategas, has something that he calls the everyman basket.
00:24:00.000 And regular inflation is up 20%.
00:24:04.000 His everyman basket, which is just things that people have to have, groceries, insurance, auto, that's up 28%.
00:24:13.000 So, you know, like this is why, you know, Americans are in a crunch.
00:24:19.000 And, you know, I know like a lot of your audience are younger people.
00:24:26.000 And younger people are really in this bind too.
00:24:31.000 I'm sure you've seen the surveys of people under 40 think that they'll never be able to own a home and or people are having to go under their credit cards to just finance living expenses.
00:24:47.000 Yeah, no, you're absolutely right.
00:24:49.000 And actually, I think, you know, we've seen some interesting polling data this election cycle, Scott.
00:24:56.000 We've seen that actually Trump is up with young people.
00:25:00.000 And we have a great Van Jones clip, actually, Ryan, if you could flag that for me, where he says the reason that young people are actually polling more negatively towards Biden right now than before is largely because they're struggling with pocket book issues as well.
00:25:15.000 The economy feels out of reach.
00:25:17.000 There's never been an underlying economic environment that so favors incumbent advantage as this, at least in my lifetime.
00:25:25.000 That's certainly true.
00:25:26.000 So if, you know, when you look at the way boomers, boomers are actually soft for Trump as opposed to previous elections, which is causing a lot of people to scratch their heads.
00:25:35.000 I'm having a lot of offline conversations about why are boomers a little soft this time with Trump.
00:25:40.000 Well, Joe Biden keeps saying the economy's working just fine.
00:25:43.000 We have the best economy in the world.
00:25:44.000 Well, if you're an incumbent, meaning if you're of a certain age with a certain asset portfolio and your assets are inflating along with the economy, you're richer than ever.
00:25:54.000 You're more further along than ever.
00:25:57.000 Meanwhile, those that are trying to get into the financial upward ladder of success, namely buying a home, buying assets, private equity, stocks, bonds, whatever, they're getting ring-fenced out of this economy.
00:26:11.000 And it's, I'm telling you, Scott, if you want to sow the seeds of societal chaos, then you just make sure a whole generation has no stake in the economy of your country.
00:26:21.000 Yeah, Andrew, I couldn't agree with you more.
00:26:23.000 And look, you know, your generation's gotten, I teach, I used to teach economic history at Yale.
00:26:30.000 So I've studied how these things happen.
00:26:34.000 And your generation's gotten a bum deal.
00:26:37.000 And when I see these surveys on, you know, like, how do young people feel about capitalism?
00:26:42.000 How do they, you know, there's like, you know, a core group who are patriots and believers, but it's easy to see people get discouraged.
00:26:51.000 And you couldn't be more right is the top 20% of income and asset owners in America have never done better, never done better.
00:27:04.000 And I like your phraseology, incumbents, because in Joe Biden's America, there are two kinds of people.
00:27:13.000 There are people with assets and people without assets and debt.
00:27:20.000 And the asset inflation that we've gotten, that's driven by the Federal Reserve and Treasury spend, spin, spend and propping up asset prices.
00:27:33.000 But as a result of propping up the asset prices, they've had to keep interest rates high and inflation stayed high.
00:27:41.000 So, you know, I'm just so tired of hearing, you know, the Paul Krugmans, the Allen Blinders, the Greg Ip in the Wall Street Journal saying, you know, Americans don't understand how good they have it.
00:27:55.000 Well, look, I'm in the top 20%.
00:27:58.000 It's great.
00:27:59.000 I'm 61 years old.
00:28:02.000 I got a house.
00:28:03.000 I got a stock portfolio.
00:28:05.000 Good times are rolling is, but everybody else, whether it's interest cost, is, I don't know if you've seen these statistics, is average car payment is up 80%.
00:28:21.000 And that is a combination.
00:28:24.000 Yep.
00:28:24.000 80% for the same car.
00:28:27.000 So car prices may be up 15%, but because interest rates are up, it throws that.
00:28:35.000 House prices are up 50, but monthly payments for the same house are up 300%.
00:28:47.000 This just isn't sustainable.
00:28:49.000 And Scott, I'm going to play this Van Jones clip that I mentioned before, 29.
00:28:49.000 Yeah, absolutely.
00:28:54.000 Young people are getting blocked from the economic success that their parents have.
00:29:00.000 And this is the first time in American history where we can say this so definitively.
00:29:03.000 It's really a tragedy.
00:29:04.000 People need to have their eye on it.
00:29:05.000 29.
00:29:06.000 That's some paragraph about swing state polls a few months before the election van.
00:29:11.000 Yeah, I mean, it should be a wake-up call.
00:29:15.000 Young people are upset.
00:29:17.000 And it's not just the situation in Gaza.
00:29:20.000 The economic prospects for young people are miserable.
00:29:24.000 And that's been building under Obama.
00:29:26.000 It's been building under Trump.
00:29:27.000 It's building under Biden.
00:29:29.000 We just do not have a pathway for young people to be able to pay off their student debt, get a house.
00:29:35.000 People are looking at this AI wave and are worried about what job, what career path.
00:29:39.000 And so that pain has to be spoken to directly and specifically.
00:29:44.000 I'm going to correct Van Jones on one thing there.
00:29:46.000 Under Trump, we had the blue-collar boom.
00:29:49.000 The lowest 10%, their wages were rising faster than the top 10%.
00:29:52.000 So Van Jones, you're wrong.
00:29:54.000 You had it under Obama.
00:29:56.000 You didn't have it under Trump.
00:29:57.000 Now you have it in earnest under Joe Biden.
00:30:01.000 Yeah.
00:30:02.000 And Andrew, you know, imagine what the lower 10, lower 25% wages would be with President Trump's immigration policy.
00:30:12.000 That the Democrats, led by Biden, have flooded the zone for working class wage suppression.
00:30:20.000 That's the only thing that's not inflating or working class wages is imagine how well the working class would be doing.
00:30:28.000 And, you know, I couldn't agree more is look, under President Trump, the big companies did well.
00:30:35.000 The rich did well.
00:30:37.000 Working people did well.
00:30:39.000 And small business did well.
00:30:41.000 And it was strong non-inflationary growth.
00:30:45.000 And we'll see what the inflation number is tomorrow, hot, cold, whatever.
00:30:51.000 I think it's just too late.
00:30:56.000 You might have heard Mike Lindell and MyPillow no longer have the support of their box stores or shopping channels the way they used to.
00:31:02.000 They've been part of this cancel culture.
00:31:03.000 So they want to pass the savings directly on to you by having a $25 extravaganza.
00:31:09.000 When Mike started MyPillow, it was just a one product company.
00:31:13.000 With the help of his dedicated employees, they now have hundreds of products, and some of you may not even know about it.
00:31:19.000 To get the word out, I want to invite my listeners to check out their $25 extravaganza.
00:31:23.000 Two-pack multi-use MyPillows, just $25.
00:31:26.000 MyPillow sandals, $25.

00:31:47.000 That is promo code Kirk at mypillow.com.
00:31:49.000 Promo code Kirk.
00:31:53.000 I want to play a clip.
00:31:54.000 You were talking about the immigration side of things and basically how Bidenomics is failing.
00:32:00.000 So they're cooking the books with a growth.
00:32:02.000 They call it growth, Scott, through this large influx of immigration.
00:32:06.000 We call them invaders on this show.
00:32:07.000 Play Cut 57.
00:32:09.000 I would also point to a fairly large influx of immigration into the country over the past couple of years.
00:32:19.000 And those people are joining the labor force.
00:32:24.000 We're experiencing still a labor shortage in many industries.
00:32:27.000 And so there are jobs and they're going to work and they're consuming.
00:32:32.000 So that's also boosting growth.
00:32:35.000 A fairly large influx, he says.
00:32:37.000 He's choosing his words very precisely there, Scott.
00:32:40.000 Fairly large influx.
00:32:41.000 Yeah, 10 to 12 million by the time Biden's done, maybe 15 million, according to some estimates.
00:32:46.000 You made a point.
00:32:47.000 I want you to reiterate it.
00:32:48.000 What is that doing to average working Americans?
00:32:51.000 What is that influx of cheap labor doing?
00:32:56.000 Look, you know, it's interesting now that Jerome Powell is saying that it's helping keep wages down because for 10, 15 years, this selective academic research said that somehow the only market in the world where supply and demand don't work, where the laws of supply and demand are suspended,
00:33:24.000 is the U.S. labor market related to immigration.
00:33:28.000 Of course, more supply pushes down wages.
00:33:32.000 And, you know, what Chair Powell, in an amazing piece of sophistry there, is saying is, yes, it's pushing up the economic growth, but Americans shouldn't care about economic growth.
00:33:48.000 What we care about is per capita economic growth.
00:33:53.000 So per capita and per household economic growth is dropping.
00:33:59.000 It's dropping.
00:34:00.000 So, you know, this is low quality growth.
00:34:03.000 And I just keep going back to the, you know, could you imagine what low end wages would be doing under President Trump's immigration policies?
00:34:15.000 And, you know, when he said there's a labor shortage, I guarantee you at the proper salary level, people would come running back into the workforce, running back into the workforce.
00:34:28.000 But, you know, they always say, well, the jobs that Americans don't want to do is what gets taken up.
00:34:35.000 You know, it's jobs that are price, you know, maybe not at $10 an hour, maybe, maybe not at $15, but at $25.
00:34:44.000 So this does not represent.
00:34:47.000 Yeah, I couldn't agree more.
00:34:49.000 I mean, my family, blue-collar family, middle-class American family, my dad worked for a tow truck when he was growing up.
00:34:58.000 He was a rancher.
00:34:59.000 I mean, all of my family did jobs that so-called Americans don't want to do.
00:35:03.000 And what kind of message does that send to a whole generation, by the way?
00:35:06.000 I just, from a moral standpoint, I'm not even talking economics here, where we tell a whole generation of Americans, you don't do those jobs.
00:35:14.000 Those are for immigrants.
00:35:16.000 I mean, what a terrible work ethic you're going to establish in a whole generation.
00:35:21.000 Go ahead.
00:35:22.000 Go ahead.
00:35:23.000 And Andrew, what I'm worried about here is: look, you know, legal, orderly, the immigration.
00:35:32.000 And, you know, I think in the U.S., that's normally $1.1, $1.3 million a year.
00:35:38.000 You know, it's good.
00:35:39.000 It's necessary.
00:35:43.000 It's helpful to the economy.
00:35:45.000 But this disorderly, the chaotic situation at the border, I actually think is backfiring on the, you know, it is making average Americans anti-immigration.
00:36:02.000 And I think all of us are in favor of people who follow the rules.
00:36:06.000 You know, I just brought in, you know, it's incredible.
00:36:10.000 Eight or nine years ago, I brought in my French mother-in-law.
00:36:14.000 And, you know, she had married a GI.
00:36:17.000 She was 87 years old.
00:36:19.000 She married a GI after World War II, has three American children, gets American Social Security.
00:36:25.000 And we brought her back over from France.
00:36:27.000 For an 87-year-old woman, it cost us $20,000 in paperwork.
00:36:32.000 And they made an 87-year-old woman take a tuberculosis test and a VD test to get her green card.
00:36:39.000 That's what coming in the front door looks like.
00:36:42.000 You get penalized for doing it the right way.
00:36:44.000 It's absolute pleasure.
00:36:46.000 We'll see you soon, Scott.
00:36:47.000 Thanks so much.
