00:01:12.000 Andrew and Blake, hello to you both.
00:01:13.000 Hello, hello.
00:01:15.000 So, I wanted to start today, guys.
00:01:17.000 We finally are able to speak openly about a topic that we've been leading on, and I have here my handy-dandy Nebraska hat, and we can talk openly about the update out of what happened in Nebraska.
00:01:31.000 Now, we've been working on this, everybody, for the last six months?
00:01:35.000 Five months?
00:01:35.000 Is that right, Blake?
00:01:36.000 Yeah, it was about April, I think.
00:01:37.000 And, Blake, remind people the story, how we got into this.
00:01:40.000 Okay, yeah, so the full setup here was, it was, we were looking at some polls in, yeah, about sometime in the spring, about April, and the poll, Biden was still in the race then, and there were some polls coming out, and it shook out that if you looked at all of those polls and the averages that were on RealClearPolitics, That if you just assumed the averages were all correct, and that that was what it would be on election day, and you plug that into the Electoral College, the result would be Joe Biden would win 270 to 268.
00:02:10.000 He would, you know, he would lose Georgia, he would lose Arizona, he would lose Nevada, but he would keep Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin.
00:02:19.000 This was Joe Biden's strategy.
00:02:21.000 And I just pointed this out, and then I threw in, as an aside, you know, unless Nebraska gets its act together, Charlie.
00:02:29.000 And then you were like, wait, you're right.
00:02:32.000 You were familiar with that facet.
00:02:33.000 Of course, yeah.
00:02:34.000 And so you just said, you know, whip up a tweet about that, mention it, and, you know, dig into it, look at what's going on with that.
00:02:41.000 And so I did a little digging.
00:02:42.000 I saw that a senator in Nebraska had actually introduced a winner-take-all bill.
00:02:47.000 Phil Lippincott.
00:02:49.000 Senator Lippincott, he'd introduced it and it was just held up in the legislature.
00:02:54.000 Apparently it wasn't going to go forward and we, you know, they were still in session then, so our initial thing was let's whip up some pressure on the legislature.
00:03:01.000 Let me interrupt you.
00:03:03.000 At the time, Rana and the RNC had no plan for this.
00:03:07.000 There was no concern.
00:03:08.000 Not a single person anywhere made this a priority until the Charlie Kirk show and Turning Point Action.
00:03:14.000 Yeah!
00:03:14.000 Right, Blake?
00:03:15.000 And it was wild how rapid the response was on Twitter, because, you know, we just laid it out that this is, you know, as you, the book wasn't out yet, but like, you know, we were, you talked about in the book that, like, you know, you need a Republican Party that wants to win, and this is an electoral vote that's there, and as we said, this wasn't illegal or underhanded, this wasn't some gross distortion of electoral proceedings, it was, make Nebraska's rule the same as All the other, all 48 of the other 50 states, and have it be winner take all, we would take this vote that was very likely to go blue, and make it red, and it could save us from losing in a situation that wasn't the most likely, like the dominant outcome, but it was a very real possibility.
00:03:59.000 And so, this produced this huge response, and what I loved about it was how not only did we whip people up, but you were immediately, like, calling people, saying, look, let's get a venue in Nebraska, in Omaha, get some people there.
00:04:13.000 We got over 1,500 people.
00:04:15.000 Andrew, you were there.
00:04:16.000 We created a whole war room strategy, and I want to be clear, Andrew, talk about that event, but also, some people in the audience say, oh, Charlie, you let this issue go.
00:04:24.000 No, guys, that's what we're here finally able to talk openly about.
00:04:28.000 For the last five months, on a daily basis, including multiple trips to Nebraska, we've been working on this issue.
00:04:35.000 Andrew, talk about how we took this and we didn't let this go.
00:04:40.000 Well, my favorite piece of this whole story is actually the New York Times, The Daily, their podcast today.
00:04:49.000 episode just on what this audience, what this show, what Charlie did and Turning Point did to create this
00:04:58.000 and make this a national news story.
00:05:00.000 They laid the timeline out from the time of the tweet to the broadcast, they actually had clips of Charlie on air.
00:05:09.000 And next thing you know, there was a comment from Governor Pillen within hours because you guys in this audience lit up the phone boards in Nebraska.
00:05:19.000 You were calling your legislators, Nebraskans were, and then Trump went out on Truth, did a Truth social post about it.
00:05:29.000 So within less than 24 hours, this became a national news story.
00:05:34.000 And it was all because of this audience.
00:05:35.000 It was all because of the work everybody was doing.
00:05:38.000 And then I think to Blake's point, it was like five days, about five or six days later,
00:05:43.000 we had a whole event, winner take all, rally in Omaha and massive, massive attendance.
00:05:51.000 It was standing room only.
00:05:52.000 The energy was through the roof.
00:05:54.000 The grassroots were pumped up and excited about this because they call this the blue dot in the middle of Nebraska.
00:06:01.000 And Charlotte, one thing I would love for you to talk about and explain is how this blue dot invites all of this outside the state of Nebraska money to pour in Completely for Trump, except for this one up for grabs district.
00:06:20.000 And so tons of outside money, millions and millions and millions pours in for one electoral vote.
00:06:26.000 And I think it really is a disservice to the people of Nebraska to allow that to continue.
00:06:32.000 Alas, here we are.
00:06:33.000 Well, we're about to get to the update.
00:06:35.000 And so, all throughout June, all throughout July, all throughout August, we were lobbying.
00:06:39.000 And we were doing vote counting.
00:06:41.000 So what happened in Nebraska is they did a special session for property tax relief that went terribly.
00:06:46.000 It was a disaster.
00:06:48.000 And we were told, OK, just wait, just wait.
00:06:50.000 Now, of course, we were cynical.
00:06:51.000 We said, I don't know.
00:06:52.000 This seems like they're trying to run out the clock.
00:06:54.000 I said, but we're not going to let you guys escape that easily.
00:06:54.000 Slow playing it.
00:06:57.000 If you guys mess this up, we're going to tell the story publicly, which is what we're doing now.
00:07:02.000 And so we started to see a lack of priority here.
00:07:05.000 And let me be very clear.
00:07:07.000 This Nebraska example is the greatest example in my 12 years of doing this.
00:07:12.000 That I've ever found about how the Republican Party does not care about saving America.
00:07:18.000 I'm sorry.
00:07:19.000 They care about other things.
00:07:20.000 They care about football tickets.
00:07:22.000 Very much.
00:07:23.000 Like the football tickets that these senators have, these state senators have.
00:07:27.000 They're unbelievable, right Blake?
00:07:28.000 They're really good.
00:07:29.000 Yeah, we went into Larry the Cable Guy's booth, who's a great guy.
00:07:33.000 He's great.
00:07:33.000 That was great.
00:07:34.000 He's a hero.
00:07:34.000 He really wanted to help out, too.
00:07:36.000 It was amazing.
00:07:36.000 He's a hero in this story.
00:07:37.000 Yeah.
00:07:38.000 And there are state senators that are, they have no business being in that, I mean, unless there's some sort of deal getting cut.
00:07:45.000 And so they care about that.
00:07:47.000 And so I, we went there a week and a half ago, right, Blake?
00:07:50.000 Oh, yes.
00:07:50.000 And we left it all in the field.
00:07:51.000 By the way, that's where, that's where I lost my voice.
00:07:53.000 Because I was out there doing interviews for like an hour and a half.
00:07:56.000 And then Pennsylvania didn't help.
00:07:58.000 And when I confronted, and we met with the governor, and I'll tell you about that because the governor's a good actor in this story, but I think he could have done more, but that's a separate issue.
00:08:07.000 And when I was talking to some of these senators and some of the people involved, they kept on saying, yeah, but it would just invite too much controversy.
00:08:15.000 I kid you not everybody so just to be very clear Kamala Harris might become president because of this and we'll talk we'll walk the breaking news yesterday the swing vote Mike McDonnell who's not the villain of the story actually I think he's actually covering for some of the other senator yeah I think he's the guy they put all the attention on hundred percent he I mean the idiom he uses he didn't want to be caught holding his you-know-what like because he was A Democrat who'd become a Republican.
00:08:40.000 He's from Omaha.
00:08:42.000 He's from one of those districts.
00:08:43.000 So it involves this.
00:08:44.000 So it involves this.
00:08:45.000 And so they put all the attention on him.
00:08:48.000 And I think really he was willing to do it, but he wasn't going to do it if it wasn't going to happen.
00:08:53.000 Correct.
00:08:54.000 And so he came out and announced this because it was clear it wasn't going to happen, and you know more about that.
00:08:59.000 Yeah, and so all the headlines are, Mike McDonald's very smart, the way they did this is they have the former Dem kind of take all the arrows.
00:09:05.000 Okay, he wants to be mayor.
00:09:06.000 It's that's not the real story here.
00:09:08.000 And I'm here to tell what the real story is.
00:09:09.000 The real story is that they were short two votes of Republicans that are not former Democrats that did not want to change the system.
00:09:17.000 And I talked to one of them, and I'm going to tell you their names, because I don't care.
00:09:21.000 Because I actually think Mike McDonald wanted to do the right thing.
00:09:25.000 He seemed like a nice guy, met him.
00:09:26.000 You met him, right, Blake?
00:09:27.000 Yeah.
00:09:27.000 He seemed like a sincere, but there were a couple other people involved in Nebraska that wanted nothing to do with changing this.
00:09:34.000 And again, let me say this as clearly as I can.
00:09:37.000 They don't care about the future of America.
00:09:39.000 When I presented with them, I showed them the map.
00:09:41.000 I said, you realize Kamala could win because of this?
00:09:43.000 And one of the senators told me, well that's not my problem.
00:09:47.000 I said, well yeah it is.
00:09:48.000 He said, no.
00:09:51.000 Not my problem.
00:09:52.000 Thank you.
00:09:53.000 And he walked away.
00:09:54.000 That is the mentality of the Republican Party across the country.
00:09:59.000 And so, we received this bad news yesterday.
00:10:02.000 We lobbied like crazy, public awareness, behind the scenes, everything we could, and we received the disappointing news.
00:10:09.000 But I told you guys, I'm going to tell you the full story, and we will, about how a couple people in Nebraska said, huh, I'm becoming president.
00:10:17.000 No big deal.

00:12:03.000 Run your game!
00:12:06.000 Andrew, why is it that Republicans, I want you to psychoanalyze this and then Blake, I want your thoughts.
00:12:12.000 Why was this so hard?
00:12:14.000 Why did we as an outside group and a radio show, Andrew, have to make multiple visits to Nebraska, have to spend some time, money, and thank you all of you that donate to Turning Point.
00:12:24.000 You guys make projects like this possible, and I don't regret any of this.
00:12:27.000 Do you, Blake?
00:12:27.000 I don't regret getting in.
00:12:28.000 No, of course not.
00:12:28.000 Because, I mean, we had a chance to get an electoral vote in a deep-red state, and we got mighty close.
00:12:32.000 It would have been a huge bragging rights if we'd pulled it off.
00:12:35.000 Yeah, again, but we didn't do it because of that.
00:12:38.000 But, Andrew, what's going on here?
00:12:39.000 Why was this so hard?
00:12:41.000 Why would Republicans in Nebraska feel so indifferent to Kamala Harris becoming president?
00:12:47.000 What's going on?
00:12:48.000 Well, I think you summed it up when you said, you know, with that one anecdote where he said, oh, it's it's controversial.
00:12:54.000 We don't want we don't want the controversy, but it's there's something about the I think.
00:13:02.000 A couple of things.
00:13:02.000 I think the press and the media has so beat up your run-of-the-mill average Republican.
00:13:08.000 They've called him racist.
00:13:10.000 They've called him xenophobic.
00:13:11.000 They've called him bigoted.
00:13:12.000 They've called him hateful for so long that they don't want to be seen as guilty of any of those things.
00:13:17.000 So they stay out of Anything, the line of fire, whenever the fight gets tough, you know, you call them sunshine patriots, right?
00:13:25.000 All they want to talk about is tax codes and all the stuff that wouldn't get them embroiled in any sort of controversy because they have been trained like a beat dog to avoid that stuff.
00:13:38.000 And what we have done, I think, a turning point that is so instrumental in what you, Charlie, deserve a ton of credit for, actually, And there's other voices like Tucker and some of these other voices that have gone into the firing line as opposed to running away from it, as we are trying to reform the conservative movement to not be afraid of the fight.
00:13:58.000 And we've tried to create an army of voices that will support and defend people that are doing the right thing.
00:14:04.000 But I think when you go out into the middle of the country and you go to some of these long-held conservative areas, these red pockets of the country, they are just not used to it.
00:14:15.000 Their muscles have atrophied and they just want to go to the football games.
00:14:18.000 They just want to be in polite society.
00:14:21.000 They don't want to be castigated.
00:14:23.000 Or spoken down to or spoken negatively of.
00:14:26.000 Their reputation, their local prestige is what they do this for, and they don't want to put that in jeopardy.
00:14:32.000 So they're just not ready for a real fight, sadly, too many of them.
00:14:36.000 So I brought Blake with me, and we worked the Nebraska football game, which by the way, our plan was actually really smart, which is the Nebraska football game is like the Met Gala.
00:14:46.000 Yeah.
00:14:47.000 Everyone's there.
00:14:48.000 Yeah, exactly.
00:14:49.000 So if you want to lobby for something, you go to the Nebraska football game.
00:14:52.000 It makes you wonder, like, how many things in Nebraska's history or, you know, state history generally are decided at these backroom negotiations at football games.
00:15:01.000 And so our hypothesis was brilliant.
00:15:03.000 I have to give credit, because I was like, how do I get a captive audience with these senators so I could, you know, make my case?
00:15:10.000 And I was like, they're hosting a football game.
00:15:12.000 So we flew in and met with the governor.
00:15:15.000 The governor was in support, but the governor Was very damaged because of the property tax session.
00:15:21.000 Yeah.
00:15:22.000 The governor's not the villain of the story by any means.
00:15:24.000 The governor wanted to do the right thing.
00:15:26.000 I think the governor could have done more and prioritized it.
00:15:29.000 I think what we both agree on is, a lot of people, like the governor, he only wanted to call the special session if it would be a win, and if he had all the votes there.
00:15:39.000 And that's where I disagreed with him.
00:15:40.000 And our sense was, if you call it, then you're making it very clear who the holdouts are, the pressure is on them, and that is likely to get you over the hump.
00:15:50.000 But you have to take the risk that it might not work.
00:15:54.000 Right.
00:15:54.000 And the strategy we were pitching is, call the session, turn this into a national issue, and make them, in front of millions of people, vote yes or no.
00:16:04.000 Don't do this behind the scenes.
00:16:06.000 We were unsuccessful with that pitch.
00:16:08.000 So we were working the football game there.
00:16:09.000 Blake, can you psychoanalyze the Nebraska political—I mean, you're from South Dakota, so you kind of get this, right?
00:16:17.000 A little bit, a little bit.
00:16:18.000 I think a key thing with Nebraska, first of all, is it's not a state, I guess, where they're super used to getting a lot done.
00:16:25.000 They have a strong filibuster.
00:16:27.000 They have, you need basically 33 votes to do anything, and they can filibuster pretty much like they can at the federal level.
00:16:33.000 Now, imagine if you could filibuster in the U.S.
00:16:36.000 Senate up to 66 votes, and that's kind of what they have going on in Nebraska.
00:16:41.000 And so I think they're not very used to doing aggressive stuff to ram things through.
00:16:47.000 They've had this filibuster a very long time.
00:16:50.000 Another thing is, in states like Nebraska, where the Republican Party has been dominant a very long time, I think it actually means you get a different sort of person.
00:16:59.000 Because people who just sort of want to go into politics because they like being in power, they like having the status of it.
00:17:07.000 They end up being Republicans as opposed to at the national level where they're Democrats
00:17:10.000 So you kind of get certain types of people who maybe aren't that
00:17:14.000 Dispositionally conservative about it. There's a lot of factors that go into it and I think a lot of them just didn't
00:17:20.000 get it either They didn't get the stakes
00:17:23.000 You didn't vote for this recession or inflation But you sure as heck have to pay for it at the pump at the
00:17:29.000 grocery store and with that growing stack of unpaid bills I know your financial stress is crushing you.

00:18:14.000 Let's just continue further into this.
00:18:16.000 And just to be very clear, my voice issues are disguising my anger.
00:18:23.000 I would be far more animated, but getting angry does me no good right now, because we need to have a voice to make sure we win the election.
00:18:31.000 Can we show the map up on screen?
00:18:32.000 Do we have the map?
00:18:34.000 I believe it's 50.
00:18:35.000 Blake, what am I looking at here?
00:18:36.000 All right, so this is the Electoral College map that got us so animated.
00:18:40.000 I think I literally made it on the same website and everything.
00:18:43.000 That's where you can see, that's the results where we would get Georgia back, we would get Arizona back, and we would flip Nevada, but we still lose the blue wall, the old blue wall state.
00:18:52.000 Yeah, so let's just press pause really quick.
00:18:54.000 Yeah, sure.
00:18:55.000 Recent polling suggests this is a probable outcome.
00:18:57.000 Very, very possible.
00:18:59.000 I would say this was much more likely when Biden was still running.
00:19:03.000 He was very much, hang on to the blue wall for dear life.
00:19:06.000 Hope it works.
00:19:07.000 Blue wall plus blue dot.
00:19:08.000 Yeah, blue wall plus blue dot.
00:19:09.000 This is what Democrats call it.
00:19:10.000 They call it the blue dot.
00:19:11.000 They've talked about it.
00:19:12.000 They would talk about this more than the right would when we were campaigning for this.
00:19:16.000 On Pod Save America, which is like their intelligentsia, I listen to them.
00:19:21.000 They talk about the blue dot once a week.
00:19:22.000 They brag about it.
00:19:23.000 Just so everyone is clear, on the Pod Save America, former Obama alums, they brag every single week about how Republicans have no idea how important the blue dot from Nebraska gives Kamala Harris a chance to the presidency.
00:19:36.000 This is a CNN article two weeks ago.
00:19:37.000 A blue wall victory is not complete without Omaha's blue dot.
00:19:42.000 Uh, and then when we started to do work on it, they started to freak out.
00:19:44.000 There was an article that went very viral on the left when they realized Maine couldn't, because Maine also does this and they're controlled by Democrats, and their early thought was, oh, well, if we do it, Maine will just counter.
00:19:56.000 But Maine actually could not pass a bill this late in the cycle.
00:20:00.000 Nebraska can, Maine can't.
00:20:02.000 So it was setting in, oh, they could actually do this.
00:20:05.000 And we could if we just had, if we had 33 Republicans in the Nebraska Senate.
00:20:10.000 So keep that map up on screen.
00:20:11.000 One thing that a Nebraska Senator told me was, he said, well, the Democrats wouldn't do this to us.
00:20:18.000 That's what he said.
00:20:20.000 I said, well, hold on.
00:20:20.000 First of all, who do you think you're dealing with?
00:20:22.000 What Democrat Party?
00:20:23.000 He said, we as Republicans need to be above just trying to win elections.
00:20:28.000 He said, we must stand on principle.
00:20:30.000 This is your Republican Party, everybody.
00:20:32.000 Now, mind you, some other people say, well, hold on, the Democrats don't do it to Maine to go winner-take-all.
00:20:38.000 I said, that's because, look at this map.
00:20:41.000 If the map would have showed that Donald Trump receives the beneficiary of a tiebreaker, they would have moved, right, Blake?
00:20:48.000 Yeah, 100%.
00:20:49.000 It's basically a quirk of the Electoral College map that we're a lot more likely to benefit from this stray electoral vote.
00:20:57.000 But, but hold on, Charlie.
00:20:59.000 I just, I can't help but interject here that we, that Democrats wouldn't do this to us.
00:21:03.000 Are they, are they talking about the same Democrat party that indicted President Trump four times, that sent grandmas from January 6th into federal prison?
00:21:13.000 Are they talking about the same Democrat party that is literally flooding the nation's interior with thousands and thousands of Haitians and other immigrants in Trinidad and Tobago, like gang members from Venezuela?
00:21:25.000 Are they talking about the same, Democrat Party that you and I have witnessed its ruthlessness, that want to pack the Supreme Court, that want to get rid of the filibuster to pass endless abortion laws.
00:21:40.000 Who are they talking about?
00:21:42.000 And how do you not pay attention to the news over the last eight, nine years and not realize that this is a ruthless, cunning, Party that we are dealing with that is so Machiavellian that the ends completely justify any means.
00:21:56.000 Meanwhile, you are inviting tens of millions of foreign dollars, outside state dollars, to flood your local airwaves every year to skew an electoral vote.
00:22:06.000 I mean, it's shocking and I think I share our audience's frustration when you say things Like, like that.
00:22:14.000 It's almost too much to hear.
00:22:16.000 It's crazy, while Andrew was talking there, so we have a bunch of TVs that you just can't see, but it's different channels, and NBC was on, and NBC News had a thing on the Cornhusker campaign, and I don't know what they were saying, we can't hear it.
00:22:29.000 They're likely celebrating.
00:22:30.000 Yeah, they were paying attention to this.
00:22:33.000 This, just to be clear, if we would have been able to pull this off, which we did everything we could, I mean, this would have made Kamala Harris's chances of the presidency less than 20%.
00:22:45.000 But again, Nebraska Republicans, they're cool with Kamala being president.
00:22:49.000 I'm sorry, it's just the way it is.
00:22:51.000 And it's such a, it's, this is another sad thing.
00:22:53.000 I think, very truthfully, a pattern we noticed was just a lot of them would not, like they weren't aware of how important this would be.
00:23:01.000 And this is just such a critical information failure.
00:23:05.000 I feel like a basic thing if you are a state level or above political actor in the United States is you should know, you know, seventh grade civics.
00:23:16.000 You should know how we elect the president and how many electoral votes you need and how it works.
00:23:22.000 And you should look at that.
00:23:24.000 And what we ran into repeatedly is then like raising an eyebrow and going like, oh, I didn't, I didn't know it could matter that much.
00:23:32.000 And we've even run into that sometimes, like at the national level, not to name names, but like, you know, we'll ask people like, what's the, you know, what do you see as the math for the election?
00:23:42.000 And they, it's like, they aren't aware that you need 270 electoral votes to win.
00:23:46.000 I will say I've dealt with a lot of people throughout the years that don't know the path to victory that work on campaigns.
00:23:52.000 Also there are people who are like, we're going to win California!
00:23:56.000 I would love that to happen.
00:23:58.000 So I just want to emphasize this.
00:24:00.000 So the Democrats are cutthroat.
00:24:03.000 And the reason I'm spending so much time on this is obviously we've been very passionate about this.
00:24:07.000 But somebody messaged us, they said, well, you know, wait for 5,000, you know, Haitians to come to Lincoln.
00:24:14.000 Hilariously, they already are.
00:24:16.000 Andrew, you'd get a kick out of this.
00:24:18.000 I don't know, a kick out of it.
00:24:18.000 I talked to a woman who was very helpful, and she'll remain anonymous, in trying to get this thing moving.
00:24:24.000 And she's a political operative in Nebraska.
00:24:28.000 And she says, Charlie, I fly commonly, frequently, from Chicago to Lincoln on the commercial flight there.
00:24:35.000 People really do not get how deranged it is.
00:24:37.000 Like, again, cutthroat party.
00:24:38.000 of all the seats are now taken up a people with their name badges plastic bags and they
00:24:44.000 said Haitians, Nicaraguans, El Salvadorians are being transported daily hundreds of them
00:24:49.000 from Chicago to Lincoln and move to the interior of the United States.
00:24:53.000 People really do not get how deranged it is like again cutthroat party Democrats to the
00:24:58.000 math.
00:24:59.000 Oh, it's really bad.
00:25:00.000 It's a bad look for us to have, you know, 10,000 people blobbed at a border crossing
00:25:04.000 point in Mexico.
00:25:05.000 And so their fix wasn't secure the border.
00:25:07.000 Their fix was you can download an app onto your smartphone, which all of these desperate
00:25:12.000 asylum seekers who are like totally impoverished have smartphones and you can download this
00:25:16.000 app onto your smartphone and then you go and apply and it's literally like it like the
00:25:22.000 illegal immigrant app, but illegal or I don't know.
00:25:25.000 It's like tinder but free legals and it's like you send an app.
00:25:28.000 It's like I'm I'm totally going to go to the border and cross illegally.
00:25:34.000 I'm going to do it.
00:25:35.000 And the government's like, oh, we don't want you to do that.
00:25:37.000 Here, just fill out this app, and then you can fly in, and we'll just send you directly there, and then, you know, put you on, and then we'll give you, they call it parole, so they have a program, they put you on parole while your asylum case is heard.
00:25:49.000 And it's this elaborate legal song and dance for what is de facto any person from Haiti, any person from Venezuela, Any person from Nicaragua can just come to America and go wherever.
00:26:01.000 And yes, MSNBC is showing it again.
00:26:04.000 They're gloating about Kamala's got her blue dot.
00:26:07.000 She's going to hang on.
00:26:08.000 Yeah, right there.
00:26:09.000 I mean, at MSNBC, they're taking a victory lap right now.
00:26:11.000 Yeah.
00:26:12.000 Nebraska lawmaker opposes changes to how electoral votes are rewarded.
00:26:15.000 But we should emphasize that again.
00:26:17.000 It's not the specific one everyone's naming.
00:26:19.000 It was not Mike McDonald.
00:26:20.000 So one of my conversations was with this guy, Senator Tom Brandt.
00:26:24.000 And apparently he said that he was changing his mind because Lindsey Graham came in.
00:26:29.000 Again, when Lindsey Graham came in, I said, OK, that's it.
00:26:30.000 We're going to screw this thing up.
00:26:32.000 I was cheering for him, I said, but come on, I mean, this guy has not been in charge of anything successful his entire career.
00:26:37.000 And we're sending him in to negotiate, and I said, great, we're gonna end up with a war.
00:26:41.000 And so we send him in, again, it's pathetic.
00:26:45.000 We're gonna bomb Scott's bluff.
00:26:47.000 Yeah, I know, all of a sudden we're gonna like, he's gonna have a press conference, we're gonna mobilize the 101st Infantry and, you know, annex the football stadium or something, I don't know, it's bizarre.
00:27:00.000 And so, this guy, Senator Tom Brandt, I had the conversation with him.
00:27:05.000 I don't want to talk about all the private details, but his essence was like, too late in the game, too controversial, and I don't want to deal with the controversy.
00:27:12.000 Now, to be clear and fair, apparently he said his mind was changing because of Senator Lindsey Graham.
00:27:17.000 I don't know.
00:27:18.000 I don't believe any of these guys, to be perfectly clear.
00:27:19.000 I don't believe any of them.
00:27:20.000 Here's the thing.
00:27:21.000 It should not have to require us, as out-of-staters, to go to Nebraska to explain this.
00:27:27.000 What are these people doing all day long?
00:27:30.000 And here's the thing, their neighborhood... How is the weirdest thing?
00:27:32.000 People thought we were with the Trump campaign?
00:27:34.000 No, I know.
00:27:35.000 People kept on... No, we're just... They were like, well, you know... Concerned citizens.
00:27:39.000 Again, they were like, you know, who are you?
00:27:41.000 And I was like, okay, hi, my name is Charlie Kirk.
00:27:42.000 You know, I'm a passionate American.
00:27:45.000 That's how I introduced myself.
00:27:47.000 And they said, oh, you know, you work for the Trump campaign.
00:27:49.000 Okay, sure, I don't.
00:27:50.000 But they're like, well, why are you here?
00:27:53.000 I'm here because I do math and you're about to give Kamala Harris the presidency.
00:27:59.000 And they said, well, that was never the case in other elections.
00:28:01.000 I said, I know the way that the census math has happened this time.
00:28:06.000 Again, you have to talk to them like the third graders.
00:28:08.000 No one ever briefed half the senators on the math on how this was the tiebreaker.
00:28:13.000 You just imagine people in like Massachusetts during the Revolutionary War.
00:28:16.000 Washington, you're from Virginia.
00:28:17.000 Why are you here?
00:28:19.000 Yes, it just so happens that this blue dot will determine the entire country.
00:28:25.000 Potentially.
00:28:26.000 Again, I don't want to get you guys depressed.
00:28:27.000 There's plenty of paths for Donald Trump.
00:28:30.000 But the other reason I'm doing this segment is this.
00:28:32.000 Is that on election night, if the blue dot ends up giving Kamala the presidency, you know exactly who to blame.
00:28:40.000 And it was our show and you guys tried everything you possibly could, right?
00:28:44.000 Yeah, I mean, and I want to make sure people are understanding it.
00:28:48.000 What we're saying would end up in a 270-268 Kamala win.
00:28:53.000 If the blue dot became winner-take-all and Nebraska allotted all of its electoral votes to the statewide winner, it'd be 269-269.
00:29:02.000 Then it goes to the House of Representatives, which then get a vote based on state legislatures.
00:29:08.000 And since Republicans Control more state legislatures, presumably Donald Trump would win.
00:29:13.000 So that's how critical this blue dot is.
00:29:16.000 And for the sake that these grown men and women don't get it is shocking and really a tragedy.
00:29:23.000 That is the state of the modern Republican Party, everybody.
00:29:25.000 It is.
00:29:26.000 It really is remarkable how much of the energy source, Blake, you'll appreciate this, is in like conservative media.
00:29:34.000 Is that like, how much of the zeitgeist is formed on shows like this?
00:29:39.000 Yeah, it really is like you, we have, it's an important responsibility.
00:29:44.000 We have to get people rallied and send them in the right direction.
00:29:47.000 And informed.
00:29:48.000 Yes.

00:30:43.000 Andrew, can you just mention from your perspective how successful our campus tours are being right now?
00:30:48.000 Oh yeah, I mean, people have no idea.
00:30:52.000 Every reporter that I've spoken with and showed them the videos and sent the links to the tweets and things like that, they're blown away.
00:31:01.000 I've been doing this with you long enough, Charlie.
00:31:03.000 And I've said this on the show, in your absence, that, you know, a couple years ago, we were lucky if we got six or seven people that came out, and then there would be like two dozen protesters or more.
00:31:15.000 And now there are literally thousands of students waiting for Charlie, waiting for the team when they arrive.
00:31:22.000 Everybody's chanting, Charlie, Charlie, Charlie, Trump, Trump, Trump.
00:31:26.000 And the energy is through the roof.
00:31:28.000 Charlie's throwing out red hats.
00:31:30.000 And so by the, you know, within like 30 minutes, it's a sea of red hats, basically filling up quads, filling up plazas.
00:31:40.000 And the energy is absolutely insane.
00:31:43.000 And by the way, Charlie, massive kudos to you and the team at Turning Point Action that is partnering on this tour and is registering voters.
00:31:52.000 And by the way, Charlie, this goes back to the spring semester as well.
00:31:55.000 Remember San Luis Obispo?
00:31:58.000 Hundreds and hundreds, maybe like 700 students in California, coastal California, that started singing the Star Spangled Banner.
00:32:05.000 This semester, we've only taken that energy and amplified it even more.
00:32:09.000 And it's it's a sea of support.
00:32:11.000 I couldn't help but get a chuckle out of Penn State where, you know, we were getting pictures from security before you arrived.
00:32:19.000 And there was like 12 really like kind of Slavenly looking protesters all wearing masks and purple hair.
00:32:26.000 And there was like four reporters talking to the 12 protesters.
00:32:31.000 Meanwhile, if you pivot the camera over, there's literally 2,000 students waiting to like cheer you on as you come in.
00:32:38.000 And so, of course, they were talking to them and the headlines were skewed and all this stuff.
00:32:43.000 But like the registration in the two Pennsylvania stops alone, this is just one day or two days, really two stops.
00:32:52.000 Was over 700 Gen Z students registered.
00:32:55.000 And I think at Penn, we had 1500 students, Penn State, we had 1500 students sign up for Turning Point USA.
00:33:03.000 And I think it was like 700 at University of Pittsburgh.
00:33:06.000 So massively, massively successful.
00:33:09.000 And what this goes to is things like TikTok, YouTube, the messages getting out folks, this This is civilizationally defining, changing stuff that's happening under the radar, and nobody knows about it.
00:33:23.000 The press has not figured it out yet, but when they see our numbers someday, they're going to realize what happened.
00:33:30.000 I agree.
00:33:31.000 Speaking of numbers, Blake, do you want to walk through the final math?
00:33:33.000 So now, because of the Nebraska news, and again, this is it, we're done talking about Nebraska after this, and happy—the senators that are in question, by the way, again, I can only speak to my conversations.
00:33:43.000 I did not speak to Senator Hughes, but she was a no.
00:33:46.000 Senator Brandt was a no-ish.
00:33:48.000 And then, of course, McDonnell.
00:33:50.000 McDonnell is his own beast.
00:33:51.000 It's its own thing.
00:33:52.000 My theory is I think McDonnell's covering for the other two.
00:33:55.000 Would you agree, Blake?
00:33:55.000 That's certainly how he spoke to us.
00:33:58.000 So those are the names, okay?
00:33:59.000 And you guys can fill in the gaps wherever you want there and do what you want to do.
00:34:02.000 I'm going to stop focusing on Nebraska.
00:34:04.000 You guys can worry about that crooked, corrupt state.
00:34:07.000 If we bring it up again, it's going to be because something we warned about happened.
00:34:12.000 And again, so we are dropping the marker right now.
00:34:15.000 We're saying that the Rana RNC couldn't have cared less about this.
00:34:18.000 That none of the people in Nebraska did any sort of math or foresight.
00:34:22.000 We tried to come in.
00:34:23.000 We tried to fix it.
00:34:25.000 We spent a lot of money, a lot of time, a lot of energy, a lot of emphasis for months.
00:34:31.000 We were let down.
00:34:32.000 You guys know the story.
00:34:33.000 You've been asking about that for quite some time.
00:34:35.000 So therefore what, Blake?
00:34:36.000 The good news is this is less likely to matter than it was when Biden was running.
00:34:40.000 This was very likely to be a very crucial thing when Biden was running because he was all in on the Rust Belt.
00:34:46.000 Kamala, the math is a little different.
00:34:48.000 Kamala, compared to Biden, is proportionally less strong in the old Rust Belt and stronger in the Sun Belt.
00:34:56.000 So she's looking, polls show her quite shaky in Pennsylvania.
00:35:00.000 Pennsylvania is definitely more winnable than Michigan and Wisconsin.
00:35:04.000 It's looking increasingly like we've had good stuff.
00:35:06.000 You have Senator Fetterman going around saying like Trump has very special appeal here.
00:35:12.000 Internal polls, even from Democrats, are suggesting that's bad news.
00:35:17.000 What we also have to think about is what we discussed yesterday on this show, which is North Carolina has become a much shakier state for us.
00:35:24.000 The latest poll shows Mark Robinson down 14 points, which means Trump might lose North Carolina.
00:35:29.000 Exactly.
00:35:30.000 Now, so here's a map that we might see.
00:35:32.000 For example, if we win Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, flip all those states back, lose
00:35:40.000 Nevada and lose North Carolina, we lose the election.
00:35:45.000 Barely, but we do lose it.
00:35:46.000 We lose it 265 to 273.
00:35:51.000 If we win Nevada, if we were to flip Pennsylvania back, flip Georgia back, flip Arizona back,
00:36:00.000 but they flip North Carolina, we lose.
00:36:03.000 If we flip Nevada as well, which polling's been all over the place there, but has been pretty promising, then we do win in that case.
00:36:11.000 271 to 267.
00:36:13.000 In other cases, if we hold on to North Carolina, our path is a lot easier in that case.
00:36:18.000 If you hold North Carolina, you just need Pennsylvania, Georgia, we win.
00:36:23.000 If you... Well, here's another goofy one.
00:36:25.000 You can win Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia.
00:36:29.000 Yeah, you can go Pennsylvania, Arizona.
00:36:32.000 You can go Nevada, Arizona, Pennsylvania.
00:36:35.000 Lose Georgia if you win North Carolina.
00:36:37.000 You still hold it.
00:36:38.000 So there's a lot of situations that get us to right around this like 271 spot.
00:36:41.000 But there is not a single path, listen, without Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin.
00:36:46.000 You need one of those.
00:36:48.000 There is no longer a path.
00:36:48.000 Right?
00:36:50.000 That's what Nebraska was.
00:36:51.000 It's over.
00:36:51.000 It's done.
00:36:52.000 There is not a path for Donald Trump to win if he doesn't win at least one of the three blue wall states.
00:36:59.000 With that we retire our Nebraska emphasis.
00:37:02.000 Wish they loved the country more.
00:37:04.000 Thanks so much for listening everybody.
