00:01:42.000 Hey, everybody.
00:01:43.000 Welcome to this episode of the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:01:45.000 I am joined today with Ian Smith.
00:01:48.000 Ian, you are, you've made national news, my friend.
00:01:52.000 You are demanding that your gym gets to reopen.
00:01:58.000 And you have, in a lot of different ways, pushed back.
00:02:02.000 There are zero virus cases tracing back to your gym as of today.
00:02:08.000 And you guys have done everything responsibly.
00:02:11.000 And you guys were in a viral video kicking down the barricades, I guess you could say, of your gym.
00:02:19.000 Tell us about what you're going through and tell us a little about yourself.
00:02:23.000 Well, first of all, thank you very much for having me on the show.
00:02:26.000 I appreciate it because one of our biggest weapons as a small individual person in this or small entity in this kind of David versus Goliath, you know, little guy versus big guy battle has been the fact that so many people care about the story.
00:02:44.000 So I'm really happy to join today.
00:02:46.000 So I appreciate that.
00:02:47.000 But yeah, we have 15,546 visits as of last night to the facility since June 16th without a single case of COVID reported so far.
00:03:00.000 And we have extensive records that we can look back at any time.
00:03:04.000 So, and that's something that we sort of came up with ourselves.
00:03:08.000 But yeah, it's been a pretty crazy journey.
00:03:11.000 We started this thing out because we thought that every small business should be open and that the world doesn't need to come to a grinding halt for a virus, especially one with a mortality rate of much less than originally forecasted, I should say.
00:03:28.000 So we didn't plan for it to turn this big.
00:03:31.000 We didn't know where it was going to go, but I don't think we thought it was going to get to this level.
00:03:36.000 We put together a 15-point safety protocol about six weeks after the two-week shutdown because there was no government plan present.
00:03:45.000 Nobody was talking about reopening.
00:03:48.000 It was this trickle of, here you can have your parks back.
00:03:53.000 Oh, you can go to the beach, but you can't sit in chairs on the beach.
00:03:57.000 It was this like trickle of liberty like coming back, these breadcrumbs.
00:04:01.000 And it was like, you know, enough is enough because I've seen this played out before in history where, you know, they're quick to grab power and they're real slow to give it back.
00:04:10.000 Yeah, if at all.
00:04:11.000 Yeah, if at all, exactly.
00:04:12.000 So we put together a plan.
00:04:14.000 My partner and I, we worked every day since the shutdown started, and we put out that plan very publicly because it wasn't about being openly defiant.
00:04:23.000 It wasn't about, you know, the middle finger in the face of the man.
00:04:26.000 It was about saying, hey, there's no plan present.
00:04:30.000 We're as responsible adults and as responsible citizens, we're going to put one forth to the public.
00:04:34.000 Like, let's talk about it.
00:04:35.000 Let's get moving.
00:04:37.000 And yet, to date, Governor Murphy has not reached out at all to learn the details of that plan, which is surprising.
00:04:44.000 So, what has Governor Murphy said about you and what has he threatened, the governor of New Jersey?
00:04:50.000 So, originally, when we reopened, you know, the story's been going on for a while.
00:04:53.000 We were given citations all that first week.
00:04:56.000 We had a health department violation, which a health department official never even stepped inside the building.
00:05:01.000 They just slapped a sticker on the door in the middle of the night.
00:05:05.000 Then, our locks were changed via a court order.
00:05:09.000 They locked us out of our business.
00:05:10.000 A couple of weeks later, we got back in.
00:05:13.000 We were held in contempt of court again.
00:05:15.000 And then that's when we were arrested for the first time.
00:05:19.000 So, now we're up to 24 citations and one arrest, all carrying a $1,000 fine and up to six months in jail.
00:05:27.000 And they barricaded our doors.
00:05:29.000 And that was kind of where this, I guess, this powder keg started to explode.
00:05:33.000 So, we kicked them down and we resumed operations.
00:05:35.000 And now, Governor Murphy, again, has not reached out in any way other than punitive measures.
00:05:42.000 You know, he hasn't reached out to say, Hey, I'm going to send somebody down there and we're going to take a look at what you guys have in place, you know, and we're going to talk about it.
00:05:51.000 So, from there, you know, we were held in contempt of court again.
00:05:55.000 We're still, we're still operating, still going strong.
00:05:58.000 And he's requesting that Judge Robert Lugie, who has been his kind of right-hand man through every will he's wanted carried out in New Jersey.
00:06:10.000 You know, Robert Lugie is the guy who shut down the town of Asbury Park that was set to reopen all of its indoor dining, which is a shore town that thrives on restaurant business.
00:06:19.000 They were all going to open as a town.
00:06:21.000 They passed a local ordinance.
00:06:23.000 He blocked that.
00:06:25.000 This guy just does whatever he wants.
00:06:28.000 So, he's requesting that we're fined $10,000 per day every day that we're open.
00:06:34.000 And that, and what's crazy about that one, especially is right in the wording of the motion, they admit what they're trying to do.
00:06:43.000 That $10,000 figure is not like based off of our daily income or anything like that.
00:06:48.000 You know, like a good, a good day for our business would be $1,500, $2,000 worth of revenue coming in.
00:06:54.000 And they're just slapping that number and they follow that up in the motion, saying, justifying it by saying they have enough money in their legal defense, go fund me to pay these fines.
00:07:07.000 So, you're openly admitting that you're trying to cripple our legal fight against you.
00:07:13.000 You know, it's clear as day.
00:07:15.000 He's also asking for long-term imprisonment, which is six months or more.
00:07:20.000 And then this two, and those hearings are not scheduled yet.
00:07:23.000 We imagine those will come up in the next week.
00:07:26.000 But he's also scheduled a hearing in the township of Belmar, which is where Attilas is located, to have our business license revoked.
00:07:34.000 So that's next Tuesday at five o'clock.
00:07:36.000 We go in front of six council members and the mayor in a very, very Democratic town to potentially strip us of our business license, just kind of based off of Murphy's weaponization of things.
00:07:50.000 I wouldn't be surprised if they do strip that license of you.
00:07:54.000 And so I have a couple questions.
00:07:56.000 You guys have gone above and beyond, and you guys have zero virus cases traced back to your particular gym.
00:08:03.000 Why are you doing this?
00:08:05.000 I mean, obviously, I mean, we talk about the need to fight a lot on our program, and you guys are heroes for doing this.
00:08:11.000 But I mean, this is coming to you at a huge cost.
00:08:13.000 I mean, there are so many cowards out there.
00:08:15.000 You're not one of them.
00:08:17.000 Why are you doing this?
00:08:20.000 You know, it's pretty simple.
00:08:22.000 Frank and I, Frank and I are, we're just regular guys.
00:08:26.000 There's nothing special about us.
00:08:28.000 But the one thing that's that's true in my heart and in Frank's heart is that if you're going to destroy my life, you are going to have to destroy me first.
00:08:37.000 And if you take this from us, you will ruin, you will, especially you will ruin Frank's life.
00:08:42.000 Frank is 50 years old.
00:08:43.000 You know, he's, it's, there's not time for him to rebuild.
00:08:47.000 You know, you would ruin my life too, but I could obviously, you know, I'm 33, I could rebound.
00:08:53.000 But if you're going to, if you're going to take everything from me, you're, you're going to have to take it.
00:08:56.000 I'm not going to give it up, especially when you have not presented anything that shows that I'm doing anything wrong other than I'm not listening to what you're saying because you haven't presented any information at all.
00:09:11.000 He just, he just said, they say these things, oh, it's guided by science and data.
00:09:16.000 They've not put forth one piece of solid scientific evidence that proves a gym is more dangerous than walking into a Walmart.
00:09:24.000 They blanket these industries as if we're all the same.
00:09:28.000 You know, you can't just lump everybody into one.
00:09:32.000 So it comes down to standing up for what's right, you know, because yeah, we're the ones being targeted right now.
00:09:38.000 But if we fall, it's going to be somebody else next.
00:09:40.000 It's going to be somebody else next.
00:09:41.000 And then there's nobody left to fight.
00:09:43.000 And it's for us, it's much bigger than a gym.
00:09:46.000 It's about protecting the American dream and the American way of life because it is so clear at this point that this is an all-out assault on the middle class and this is an all-out assault on the American way of life.
00:10:02.000 And whether or not that was something that was planned or something that was an opportunity that was jumped on, it's a power grab and it couldn't be more clear.
00:10:14.000 And if we don't stand up to that, we're going to find ourselves in a position, all of us in a position that we don't want to be in.
00:10:21.000 So it's for us, it's cut and dry.
00:10:23.000 You know what I mean?
00:10:25.000 Yeah, I mean, look, I couldn't think higher of what more highly of what you guys are doing.
00:10:30.000 I mean, the amount of cowards that are out there right now that especially, I mean, we talk about some of the great pastors out there like Jack Hibbs and Rob McCoy, but if you guys are fighting harder than the Christian pastors, that's just not right.
00:10:43.000 I mean, it's just, you guys own a gym and you just say, this is, this is government tyranny.
00:10:48.000 You know, this is, you haven't had enough.
00:10:50.000 If you've had a virus outbreak at your gym, I mean, I kind of get it, sort of.
00:10:53.000 I mean, it's still private property.
00:10:54.000 You guys can still act responsibly, but you haven't.
00:10:57.000 You had 15,000 visits.
00:10:59.000 So here's my other question.
00:11:00.000 What's the response been from normal people in your town?
00:11:03.000 Not the ruling class, not the health department people that never visited you.
00:11:06.000 I'm talking about middle class people in your town.
00:11:09.000 The response from people in the town, in the state, and in the country has been overwhelmingly positive.
00:11:16.000 And I think it's actually growing too.
00:11:19.000 You know, we started out with you always have your, you know, your, we get it.
00:11:22.000 We get a couple interesting phone calls every day.
00:11:25.000 You know, I pick up the phone and say it's hilarious gym and somebody says like, you're a murderer, you know, like, you know, or just like, just nonsense.
00:11:34.000 But yeah, and then you just tell them, come visit, and they'll see you and they'll be like, I'm just kidding.
00:11:38.000 So, yeah.
00:11:38.000 No, our favorite one is to ask them where they live and they say, why, why would, why would I tell you that?
00:11:43.000 And I say, or Frank says, so we don't accidentally come pull you out of the house and drag you to the gym.
00:11:48.000 You know, I mean, we'll put you on the do not call list as if we're forcing people to be here.
00:11:55.000 But the response has been overwhelmingly positive.
00:11:58.000 We've gotten more support than we ever imagined.
00:12:00.000 We knew our members were going to support us.
00:12:02.000 We knew that we had the support of our friends and our family.
00:12:07.000 It's insane the support we've gotten.
00:12:11.000 It leaves me speechless sometimes.
00:12:13.000 And it always reinforces that what we're doing is right.
00:12:18.000 I have military reaching out all the time, veterans, people who serve their community, cops, firefighters, nurses, people that make up America, people of all walks of life saying, thank you for doing the right thing.
00:12:31.000 When people walk in here, it's a guy who walks in here every day.
00:12:34.000 He's, you know, they're all family.
00:12:36.000 He's a veteran.
00:12:36.000 He walks in.
00:12:38.000 This is his therapy.
00:12:39.000 When he leaves here every day, he can go home and he can be a father to his children and he can be a husband to his wife.
00:12:47.000 Without this escape, he doesn't have that.
00:12:51.000 And he thanks me every day on the way out.
00:12:52.000 And this is somebody that served their country in the highest way.
00:12:57.000 And he's thanking me for fighting for him.
00:13:01.000 And it's just, it's reinforcing.
00:13:03.000 And it's just been incredible.
00:13:05.000 I mean, it gets us through the lows because it's been up and down all the way through this.
00:13:11.000 Yeah.
00:13:12.000 So you, that, that doesn't surprise me that middle-class normal people are so thrilled that they actually see somebody fighting.
00:13:21.000 And so, how far are you willing to push this?
00:13:23.000 Are you willing to serve prison time?
00:13:24.000 Because that's what the leaders actually might make you do.
00:13:28.000 And I know that sounds outrageous to our listeners right now, but you're a gym owner who's acting responsibly and they might put you in prison.
00:13:35.000 Meanwhile, there are 20,000 people on the streets of Philadelphia every other day burning, looting, and rioting.
00:13:42.000 And they wonder why virus cases are going up there.
00:13:45.000 You're 25, 30 minutes from Philadelphia, more or less, right?
00:13:48.000 And you're able and you do things correctly, yet somehow you're the enemy.
00:13:54.000 How far are you guys willing to go?
00:13:57.000 See, this is one of those fights where, and again, circling back to the idea of the big guy versus the little guy, they don't want you to make it to round 12 because in round 12, you'll knock them out and you'll lose every battle along the way.
00:14:12.000 And that's by design.
00:14:14.000 That's how they crush you, whether it's financially, whether it's whatever, throw me in prison, take my business license.
00:14:20.000 Go ahead, throw everything you got at me.
00:14:23.000 I'm making it to round 12.
00:14:24.000 I'll see this all the way through until the end.
00:14:26.000 And I know that Frank is too.
00:14:27.000 And if that means serving prison time, you'll pay for it in the long run.
00:14:31.000 And I'll, you know, and I say this, and I don't say this to sound like a tough by tough guy or like some badass, but if you want to make me make me a martyr, do it.
00:14:43.000 Do it.
00:14:44.000 I dare you.
00:14:45.000 Because that's what this comes down to.
00:14:47.000 These people run off of fear and I'm not afraid.
00:14:52.000 I hope that the people listening recognize maybe they can look in their own life and say, huh, maybe I'm not fighting hard enough.
00:14:58.000 I mean, because what you're going through is a very serious thing.
00:15:01.000 And this is how tyranny grows.
00:15:03.000 If you do not confront tyranny, it'll spread very, very quickly.
00:15:07.000 Tell us about your CNN interview with the bodybuilder over there, Cuomo.
00:15:13.000 You know, what I will say is that I was expecting something far different than what we got.
00:15:20.000 You know, we first got the national attention when Tucker picked up the story after local radio and stuff like that.
00:15:28.000 And then, you know, we've been interviewed by local stations and we've been interviewed by all local stations, but then it's mostly been on the national level and especially with podcasts and stuff on the internet.
00:15:43.000 It's been mostly center-right stuff.
00:15:47.000 You know what I mean?
00:15:48.000 So when CNN called, we were like, oh, cool.
00:15:51.000 And we welcomed the opportunity because we thought, hey, this is an opportunity to come to a side that probably disagrees with us in a lot of ways, especially because most of our supporters tend to be center and to the right.
00:16:08.000 But we went and we went in with our guard up.
00:16:11.000 But I do have to say that Chris asked some pretty fair questions and he definitely did allow us to talk.
00:16:16.000 I think that he was taken back by Frank's.
00:16:20.000 Frank's knowledge of the numbers and probably Frank's energy too.
00:16:25.000 You know, Frank's got a lot in this at this point.
00:16:28.000 So he's very passionate.
00:16:29.000 And when he speaks, he speaks with a lot of emotion.
00:16:33.000 But he didn't have much of a rebuttal against us.
00:16:36.000 And we kind of expected that he would.
00:16:39.000 And maybe that's because what we said made sense.
00:16:44.000 Maybe I don't know.
00:16:45.000 We caught him off guard.
00:16:46.000 But in the end, he said we had a good case.
00:16:49.000 And I was surprised by it because I was expecting to go in there and be fed just like bull questions.
00:16:57.000 I mean, like loaded questions that are just for entertainment purposes, White House press briefing kind of questions that you see.
00:17:06.000 But it wasn't.
00:17:07.000 It was a conversation of substance.
00:17:08.000 And I was thankful for the outcome because I think as this goes on and as these punitive measures get more and more intense, people who may not have agreed with what we did in the first place are starting to look at this situation and go, really?
00:17:24.000 Like a gym, like we got to go this far over a gym, $10,000 a day, jail time, you know, stripping business license.
00:17:30.000 Really?
00:17:31.000 Meanwhile, the strip club down the street is open and stuff like that.
00:17:35.000 Is it really?
00:17:35.000 Wow.
00:17:36.000 Full capacity, full parking lot.
00:17:36.000 Yeah.
00:17:39.000 So the strip club is open.
00:17:41.000 Do they have weed stores yet in New Jersey?
00:17:43.000 Oh, they've been open the whole time.
00:17:44.000 They're essential.
00:17:46.000 Wow.
00:17:47.000 Church is still not open.
00:17:48.000 No, no, no.
00:17:50.000 I think they might be open at like 10% or 15% capacity, but you're not allowed to sing or something like that.
00:17:55.000 But the strip clubs are open at 100% capacity.
00:17:58.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:17:59.000 Go in and get a lap dance.
00:18:00.000 You can get two if you want.
00:18:01.000 There's no limit on them or anything.
00:18:03.000 Wow.
00:18:04.000 And so, I mean, it's just extraordinary.
00:18:10.000 Well, of course it is.
00:18:11.000 Of course.
00:18:12.000 But they're trying to impose their left-wing worldview.
00:18:15.000 And I mean, I can see why they don't like, I can see like why they don't like gyms.
00:18:20.000 The idea of masculinity, they hate anyway.
00:18:23.000 So I could see why that actually bothers them from a, you know, business crushing worldview.
00:18:28.000 They would love to have all gyms go out of business.
00:18:30.000 They don't want that.
00:18:31.000 They would rather have like vegan food stores open or something.
00:18:34.000 I don't know.
00:18:35.000 So how much of this do you really believe?
00:18:38.000 I mean, I know it's hard to look at people's intentions, but you're in this.
00:18:41.000 Do you really believe that the people that are putting these orders, are their intentions good?
00:18:45.000 Or is there something else really deeply at play when they want to shut you down?
00:18:50.000 You know, I've spent a lot of time thinking about that, honestly.
00:18:54.000 And that's a good question because you want to think the best of people and you want to think that, you know, whether you agree with somebody or disagree with somebody, that their intentions are good.
00:19:07.000 And that, you know, even though you may disagree with them, it's not out of malice or, you know, because they want to cause you harm.
00:19:14.000 But when you take a step back at this stuff and you start looking at the D, I mean, Frank and I have gone over the details.
00:19:20.000 We've read every word of the executive order.
00:19:22.000 We've listened to every minute of these press conferences.
00:19:24.000 We watch these people.
00:19:25.000 It's all we have to do.
00:19:26.000 You know, it's all we do.
00:19:29.000 And the more you look at it, the more that becomes very doubtful that they have good intentions.
00:19:34.000 I think in a best case scenario, they have selfish intentions.
00:19:39.000 And I think in a worst case scenario, they have very bad intentions.
00:19:44.000 And I don't know where that falls, you know, because I don't claim to know everything.
00:19:47.000 And the picture is still kind of coming into focus here.
00:19:52.000 But I wouldn't say that they're good politicians, alone, just the fact alone that we put out a plan publicly.
00:20:01.000 I went on national television to say, hey, we're doing this and we got a plan.
00:20:08.000 Why would you not contact?
00:20:09.000 Why would you not reach out?
00:20:11.000 Say, hold off, don't open.
00:20:12.000 Let's look at your plan.
00:20:14.000 Come on, let's talk about it, right?
00:20:15.000 Because government is supposed to work with the people.
00:20:18.000 You know what I mean?
00:20:19.000 And we've got it flip-flopped now where these politicians think that they are above the people.
00:20:25.000 And that's not the way this country was founded.
00:20:29.000 They don't dictate.
00:20:30.000 They're not kings.
00:20:31.000 They're not rulers.
00:20:32.000 They're leaders.
00:20:34.000 And if, you know, if you, if you've ever read a good self-help book, they tell you that leaders lead from within the pack, you know, and rulers sit above it.
00:20:42.000 And it's two very different structures, you know, and that's what these politicians are supposed to be.
00:20:48.000 They're supposed to be leaders.
00:20:49.000 They're not supposed to be rulers and they act like rulers.
00:20:54.000 And there's something seriously wrong with that.
00:20:59.000 Have you been contacted by other gym owners that are trying to reopen?
00:21:02.000 And they all around the country.
00:21:05.000 Are they doing it?
00:21:07.000 Everybody's.
00:21:08.000 So what's crazy is everybody's forced to fight their own fight.
00:21:14.000 You know, the measures that Newsom is taking out in California and the weaponization of public organizations that he does is different than Murphy.
00:21:24.000 And that's different than Cuomo.
00:21:26.000 And that's different than Gretchen, what's her name?
00:21:28.000 And it's different than the Miami mayor.
00:21:31.000 You know what I mean?
00:21:32.000 All these people who, you know, just so happen to be hard leftists.
00:21:36.000 You know, I'm sure that's no coincidence.
00:21:40.000 But so it's tough.
00:21:42.000 So we communicate and we try to help each other as much as possible, but we're all in it.
00:21:46.000 We're all in it together, but we're all alone.
00:21:48.000 You know what I mean?
00:21:49.000 Especially here in New Jersey.
00:21:51.000 We're the only gym that's open.
00:21:53.000 In California, you have a lot of them who have banded together and said no, but it's tough.
00:22:01.000 It's tough.
00:22:01.000 And it sucks hearing all the different stories about all these different people and what they're going through, because as much as my story sucks, there's other people.
00:22:12.000 I just met a guy from Ocean County yesterday.
00:22:15.000 He's got the same story as me.
00:22:16.000 He was arrested.
00:22:17.000 He's facing jail time.
00:22:21.000 But what's worse is the politicians don't care.
00:22:25.000 They don't care.
00:22:26.000 They put on a quick song and dance in a press conference and say a few words.
00:22:30.000 But at the end of the day, the $60 million man here, our governor of New Jersey, who's worth $60 million, he just gets in his helicopter and flies home to his house at the end of the day.
00:22:42.000 And he's not worried about whether he's going to feed his family.
00:22:44.000 He's not worried about if his job is secure.
00:22:49.000 His head hits the pillow at night and he's good.
00:22:52.000 And you can't say that for millions and millions and millions of hardworking, honest, good hearted, just genuine American people today.
00:23:03.000 We're all anxiety ridden.
00:23:05.000 And it's because of these policies.
00:23:09.000 We were fine before this, you know, and that's, I think, what gives us the strength to fight the most is because this is wrong on so many levels.
00:23:19.000 And it doesn't matter who you are, where you come from, what your background is.
00:23:25.000 It's affecting all of us.
00:23:26.000 And if it hasn't affected you yet, it will.
00:23:29.000 So you mentioned something.
00:23:32.000 You said that it's good for some of the people that come to your gym's mental health.
00:23:36.000 So this is, can you talk about that?
00:23:38.000 How many people come to you as a therapy and how they're robbing people of that?
00:23:42.000 And it might increase suicides or alcoholism or depression because they've closed the gyms.
00:23:46.000 I would say 100% of people who come to the gym come to the gym for therapy, whether they realize it or not.
00:23:54.000 You know, the mind and the body is far more connected than I think any of us understand.
00:24:02.000 And what you do in the real world, you know, that affects the inner world, you know what I mean?
00:24:11.000 Or what you do on outside affects your inside.
00:24:14.000 And we've got, like I said, a guy comes here.
00:24:17.000 We got guys with severe PTSD.
00:24:19.000 We have law enforcement officers who work in Camden and Philadelphia in tough areas and they see a lot and do a lot.
00:24:25.000 We have emergency room nurses.
00:24:28.000 We're pinned between a couple of the biggest hospitals in the country.
00:24:32.000 People with just high stress regular jobs, not necessarily putting their life on the line.
00:24:38.000 We have people who are recovering drug addicts and alcoholics who have been sober for years and couldn't go to AA or NA meetings and couldn't get to the gym.
00:24:46.000 Like that's that's literally the playbook to be addiction is like go to meetings and go to the gym.
00:24:52.000 You know, because I've been there.
00:24:53.000 I've been a kid who abused drugs.
00:24:57.000 So I know what that feels like when you're trying to fix yourself and you need something to anchor to.
00:25:06.000 And that's that's what the gym is for a lot of people.
00:25:08.000 And it's an anchor for people in a lot of different ways.
00:25:11.000 And we're actually today we're shooting a quick little like 60 second or 90 second video.
00:25:19.000 We're going to interview people and ask them why it's important.
00:25:22.000 And we're going to blast that out as much as we can.
00:25:25.000 Because that was the one criticism that really pissed me off is when we did this, like you get the keyboard warriors who were like, oh, you know, you just want to work out and look good, like, you know, idiots.
00:25:38.000 And it's like, no, you've clearly never been to the gym before because you don't understand why we're here.
00:25:44.000 And it is.
00:25:46.000 You're robbing people of their right to be healthy.
00:25:52.000 And you can't tell me it's about public health.
00:25:58.000 You just can't convince me.
00:25:59.000 You lay your policies out on the table and let's have a conversation about it.
00:26:03.000 Dude, change my mind.
00:26:05.000 I'll set up a change my mind table and have one of these governors sit down and tell me that their actions have been in the interest of public health.
00:26:13.000 You won't convince me because I'll read every word you wrote and every policy you make, and it's all backwards.
00:26:21.000 You're spot on and the politicians don't care about their people.
00:26:25.000 That's a very important lesson that people have to realize.
00:26:28.000 And it's both parties, but I'd say it's mostly Democrats.
00:26:32.000 But I mean, have there any Republican New Jerseys, New Jersey members that have been standing by you in solidarity?
00:26:38.000 Are they cowards like typical?
00:26:40.000 You know, I've met quite a few.
00:26:46.000 I met Rick Maida, who is actually running against Corey Booker.
00:26:51.000 He just won the primaries here and he offered some assistance and he's there to support us in any way.
00:26:59.000 I've kind of shaken hands with a couple people, but I haven't really been contacted by anybody.
00:27:04.000 And we're just two guys kind of doing this on our own.
00:27:08.000 So we're not reaching out.
00:27:10.000 We don't have time to reach out and do whatever.
00:27:13.000 Yeah, well, they should be reaching out to you.
00:27:15.000 That's what, I mean, they should be, but they're not because the traditional Republican Party doesn't care about these sorts of things because there's no donor interest in that.
00:27:23.000 So that's why we love Trump.
00:27:24.000 I mean, the president stands by you.
00:27:26.000 I could tell you that.
00:27:27.000 But go ahead.
00:27:28.000 Especially in places like New Jersey, you got this Democrat kind of stronghold.
00:27:35.000 The Republicans that are in power are just, they're just concerned with getting re-elected.
00:27:39.000 So they don't want to make too many waves.
00:27:41.000 You know what I mean?
00:27:42.000 And it's like, dude, like, do your job.
00:27:46.000 You know, it's like, what is what did you sign up for?
00:27:49.000 And it's, it's frustrating.
00:27:51.000 You know, it's if, if, if you didn't want to be a politician, if you didn't want the pressure of being a politician, if you didn't want to make the right choices, then go do something else.
00:28:00.000 Go be a roofer where you don't have to make hard choices.
00:28:03.000 You don't have to put yourself on the line.
00:28:05.000 You know, that's what being a politician is about.
00:28:07.000 That's what being involved in politics is about: it's an ugly game and it's a rough game.
00:28:11.000 And if you're not willing to play it, like, get out, get out of the way.
00:28:15.000 Let somebody else who's going to make a change.
00:28:18.000 In closing, Ian, how can people help you?
00:28:19.000 How can they donate to you guys?
00:28:21.000 How can they rally behind you?
00:28:22.000 We have a very active audience that is sick of the authoritarianism and tyranny in our country.
00:28:27.000 So there's really a couple of ways that you can help out.
00:28:30.000 And I think the most important one is a non-financial way is just to follow the story.
00:28:36.000 You know, I'm very active on my social media.
00:28:39.000 I interact through Instagram a lot.
00:28:42.000 But anytime you see the story, whether it's somebody posted on your Facebook or your Instagram, share it.
00:28:48.000 Because like I said in the beginning, one of the biggest weapons that we've had is that now the whole country and we're even getting contacts from around the world, like the world is watching.
00:28:59.000 And I want them to continue to watch because I want them to see where these politicians will go to in order to enforce their will.
00:29:07.000 So it's as simple as sharing it.
00:29:09.000 It's incredibly powerful.
00:29:12.000 But if you want to donate, we do have a GoFundMe that Governor Murphy thinks that he's going to take with $10,000 a day, but we'll never pay that.
00:29:19.000 I promise you that.
00:29:22.000 I'll go on a payment plan and give you $10 a month for the rest of my life before I do that.
00:29:28.000 But we do have a GoFundMe.
00:29:30.000 If you just type in Attila Jim Court Relief, that'll come up.
00:29:34.000 The link is right on my Instagram, and that's Ian SmithFitness on Instagram.
00:29:39.000 You can follow us on Facebook.
00:29:41.000 That's Attila's Jim Belmar.
00:29:43.000 And we update as much as possible.
00:29:45.000 Like I said, the biggest weapon we've had is that people care.
00:29:49.000 So we're going to keep on updating and we're going to see this all the way through to round 12.
00:29:53.000 Well, God bless you, Ian.
00:29:54.000 We got your back.
00:29:55.000 Thank you for fighting.
00:29:56.000 Don't give an inch.
00:29:57.000 There's more people that support you than you could ever imagine.
00:30:00.000 So seriously.
00:30:01.000 Thank you.
00:30:02.000 Thank you, Men.
00:30:06.000 I'm just so inspired by people that are standing up for what's right.
00:30:09.000 He could go to jail.
00:30:10.000 He could face serious penalty.
00:30:12.000 And yet, he is doing the right thing.
00:30:14.000 That's what we are doing every day at Turning Point USA.
00:30:16.000 So I encourage you to go to tpusa.com, tpusa.com, and help us continue to fight for freedom and liberty on college campuses across the country at tpusa.com, tpusa.com.
