00:00:11.000 My call is to fight evil and to proclaim truth.
00:00:14.000 If the most important thing for you is just feeling good, you're going to end up miserable.
00:00:19.000 But if the most important thing is doing good, you will end up purposeful.
00:00:24.000 College is a scam, everybody.
00:00:26.000 You got to stop sending your kids to college.
00:00:27.000 You should get married as young as possible and have as many kids as possible.

00:00:33.000 Go start a turning point with a high school chapter.

00:00:37.000 Sign up and become an activist.
00:00:39.000 I gave my life to the Lord in fifth grade.

00:00:45.000 Here I am.
00:00:46.000 Lord, use me.
00:00:48.000 Buckle up, everybody.
00:00:49.000 Here we go.

00:01:18.000 Go to NobleGoldInvestments.com.
00:01:23.000 Buckle up.
00:01:24.000 Here we go.
00:01:25.000 It is August 4th.
00:01:27.000 We are in the dog days of summer officially.
00:01:30.000 And school's getting back in, but man, murderers row, DSA murderers row is coming from Michigan.
00:01:36.000 We have the long awaited for primary on the Democrat side, and it happens tonight.
00:01:43.000 And we are expecting Al Sayed to win that, but let the voters decide in Michigan.
00:01:50.000 And it is a long time coming.
00:01:52.000 Like I said, this is one of the most controversial of all the Senate primaries that are on the calendar this year.
00:02:00.000 And we are going to learn a lot tonight, Blake.
00:02:03.000 There is so much to look for because.
00:02:05.000 This would be the first Muslim senator, should he be successful in winning the state of Michigan, which he has a very good shot of winning, should he be elected?
00:02:15.000 Yeah.
00:02:16.000 And I mean, it looks like I think he's the favorite to win it.
00:02:20.000 He certainly has all of the viral energy, he has all of the intensity focused on him.
00:02:27.000 And as we were discussing the other day, if we ignore these lunatic DSA types, if we just dismiss them, they will have a way of just winning.
00:02:38.000 And then what?
00:02:39.000 Emerson College has Elsa Ed at 54 and Haley Stevens, the more centrist, I guess moderate.
00:02:45.000 She's quite the character herself, actually, at 39%.
00:02:50.000 Mitchell Research, which was from late July, has Elsa Ed at 52%, Stevens at 38%.
00:02:56.000 Tavern Research, also from late July, has Elsa Ed at 46%, and Stevens at 36.
00:03:00.000 So he's probably going to win tonight.
00:03:03.000 And he does not claim the mantle of being a DSA, a Democrat Socialist of America, which is Basically, the far left Looney Tunes bin of the party.
00:03:14.000 And listen, they're ascendant.
00:03:16.000 I'm not trying to make light of them, but it is a Looney Tunes group of people.
00:03:21.000 These ideas are crazy, but he doesn't put that mantle on him.
00:03:25.000 But I think that's a political ploy.
00:03:27.000 That is a posturing, that is marketing, that is spin, because guess what?
00:03:32.000 He's been hanging out with Hassan Piker.
00:03:34.000 Stop five.
00:03:36.000 Stressed out?
00:03:36.000 No, it's just, it's like the weight is what.
00:03:39.000 Kills you.
00:03:40.000 Yeah.
00:03:41.000 Just wait.
00:03:42.000 You know, there's, and I don't, polls don't vote, man.
00:03:46.000 People vote.
00:03:46.000 No, exactly.
00:03:47.000 There's a lot of inshallah that needs to happen.
00:03:49.000 Yeah.
00:03:51.000 There's a lot of inshallah that is happening.
00:03:54.000 And that's with Hassan Piker, who, just to remind you, said that America deserved 9 11.
00:03:58.000 He wants to see capitalist blood spilled on the streets.
00:04:02.000 This guy is absolutely beyond the pale.
00:04:04.000 I think he incites violence against conservatives, and he's a bad dude.
00:04:10.000 He's a Silver Spoon kid that happened to be born in America, raised in Turkey, and then comes back to America to torment us.
00:04:18.000 And he is rising in political influence, political power, and he has put his stamp of approval on El Sayed.
00:04:25.000 Now, the good news is, it does seem that Mike Rogers on the Republican side is doing pretty well in the polling.
00:04:32.000 Hopefully, the voters of Michigan will reject this craziness, this latest edition of DSA Murderers Row in that state.
00:04:42.000 But the fact that we're this close is.
00:04:44.000 Is a five alarm fire to everybody.
00:04:47.000 Elsa could very well win Michigan.
00:04:49.000 There's a lot of headwinds against Republicans going into this midterm.
00:04:53.000 And we could have our first far left progressive, I call him a DSA, and a Muslim senator out of the state of Michigan.
00:05:01.000 This is an absolute civilizational five alarm fire, folks.
00:05:06.000 I cannot stress this enough.
00:05:07.000 And so we have to play these clips.
00:05:09.000 What does he believe?
00:05:10.000 What does he stand for?
00:05:12.000 Let's hear his take on what America was founded upon.
00:05:16.000 Sot 2.
00:05:17.000 Founded on the removal of a whole people, founded on the idea that we could compromise.
00:05:24.000 On whether or not people, as a function of the color of their skin, could be enslaved by other people.
00:05:32.000 Founded under the idea that all people are created equal, all men, but that only meant certain men.
00:05:38.000 And now we're.
00:05:41.000 So, this is a self described proud son of Africa, Blake, coming to the state of Michigan, telling Americans about how horrible our founding was.
00:05:52.000 This is the new normal, I suppose.
00:05:55.000 Yeah, I mean, as you said, he.
00:05:58.000 He might reject the label of socialist, but the reason we're so eager to append him to it is he certainly comes with what you might consider all the other ideological baggage of modern socialism, which is seeing America as fundamentally illegitimate,
00:06:13.000 really wearing as a badge of pride how not historically American he is.
00:06:19.000 So he's aggressively Islamic.
00:06:22.000 As we've noted repeatedly, he noted he wasn't going to, he noted a lot of people were mourning the death of the Ayatollah.
00:06:31.000 In his district.
00:06:32.000 And so that was something people had to work through.
00:06:35.000 He's got, I mean, he has, he helped open.
00:06:39.000 I'm reading now, this is from Chuck Ross over at the Washington Free Beacon, that he helped speak at the opening of an Islamic center in Michigan, whose Imam is now saying that people have a duty today to vote against the Zionist puppet.
00:06:53.000 And by the Zionist puppet, he doesn't mean the Republican, he means the Democrat that El Sayed is running against, who is a Zionist puppet and needs to go.
00:07:04.000 And they have to deal a blow against the Zionist menace, as it were.
00:07:11.000 And that's what this guy represents.
00:07:13.000 It is a categorically anti American attitude to take.
00:07:18.000 And if we get this guy as a senator from Michigan, and if we have Francesca Hong winning out of Wisconsin with her platform of abolishing Thanksgiving, it's going to represent a new frontier for the Democratic Party.
00:07:32.000 And the Democrats have had bad ideas for a long time.
00:07:35.000 We think their policies do not work best for America.
00:07:39.000 And they've definitely done destructive stuff as they did in 2020.
00:07:43.000 But this will be a pivot of the Democratic Party into full Euro leftism with total civilizational solvent.
00:07:52.000 Permanent open borders, permanent end to free markets, permanent end to really America itself.
00:08:00.000 Yeah.
00:08:00.000 And on that open borders, I mean, he has promised to give driver's license to illegal immigrants.
00:08:05.000 This is SOT 6.
00:08:06.000 This is a clip unearthed from 2018.
00:08:09.000 Beyond that, I look forward to pushing forward legislation that would preempt localities from participating with ICE and using their local resources to do the same.
00:08:20.000 Beyond that, we've also got to make sure that in this state, we are not discriminating by documentation status.
00:08:25.000 Right now, if you're undocumented, you don't get access to a driver's license.
00:08:29.000 So you're stuck.
00:08:30.000 You don't get access to a lot of the basic things the state offers everybody else.
00:08:34.000 And I think that's ridiculous.
00:08:35.000 And so we've got to stop discriminating that way.
00:08:38.000 Bad idea upon bad idea.
00:08:40.000 And here's him.
00:08:40.000 And we mentioned the clip.
00:08:42.000 He's pandering to Roland Martin, of all people, calling himself a proud son of Africa, SAT7.
00:08:47.000 Let's step back and ask why we lost in 2024.
00:08:51.000 Too often we lost young people.
00:08:53.000 We lost Arab and Muslim voters.
00:08:55.000 I'm an Egyptian American.
00:08:56.000 I'm a proud son of Africa, and I'm also proudly Arab and Muslim American.
00:09:00.000 I think we have an opportunity to bring communities together to bring back the voters that too often we lost to win the future for our state, take back our state from Donald Trump.
00:09:09.000 Proud son of Africa coming to you, folks, in Michigan.
00:09:15.000 One of the most, if you tour around Michigan, it is one of the most American feeling states in so many parts of that state.
00:09:22.000 And it's just crazy that this is the moment we're at, folks.

00:10:27.000 We've got to turn our eyes to New York.
00:10:30.000 Well, there's different.
00:10:31.000 We could go to Utah or New York, Blake.
00:10:33.000 Utah or New York.
00:10:34.000 I'll let you be the.
00:10:36.000 We're going to go back to the Democrats in the second half.
00:10:39.000 I think we've got to take our aim at Utah right now.
00:10:43.000 Their lawmakers are letting us down again, and we've got to say it.
00:10:50.000 Senator Curtis, he's not doing what Republicans elected him to do.
00:10:55.000 No, he's not.
00:10:56.000 I don't know what it is about deep red states, but it is almost impossible to get two good conservatives in the Senate from deep red states.
00:11:06.000 So, Senator John Curtis said, It's so frustrating.
00:11:09.000 Senator John Curtis says, Utah employers tell me time and time again how difficult it's become to find enough workers to meet growing demands.
00:11:19.000 Our bill, so he's proposing a new bill, allows states to sponsor visas tailored to their unique workforce needs while ensuring rigorous federal vetting.
00:11:29.000 And accountability.
00:11:30.000 This tweet of his has 242 likes compared to 3.6 thousand comments.
00:11:38.000 It is going viral for all the wrong reasons.
00:11:40.000 That is a ratio for the record books.
00:11:42.000 Now, here is my response to Senator Curtis, and then, Blake, I want yours.
00:11:49.000 They have been telling us, the American people, this same lie for decades.
00:11:56.000 The same lie.
00:11:57.000 We need more and more cheap foreign labor to meet the demands of business.
00:12:03.000 This is an absolutely tried and tested giant lie that has resulted in a foreign born population in our country of north of 15%, which is historic on many fronts.
00:12:17.000 America has absorbed the largest movement of human beings that any country in the history of the world has absorbed since the 1960s, right?
00:12:25.000 When we had the Hard Cellar Act, 1965.
00:12:29.000 We have absorbed that much and done better with it than any other country on the planet because of our greatness.
00:12:34.000 But you can only do this for so long.
00:12:36.000 The truth is, there will never be enough cheap foreign labor to satisfy the business community.
00:12:44.000 They will always want more.
00:12:45.000 It is an insatiable appetite, it is an addiction that we must break.
00:12:49.000 And I want to take your attention to the 1950s.
00:12:52.000 I know that conservatives get a lot of gruff for pointing to the 1950s, but it was a time of extreme and robust growth.
00:12:59.000 Yes, it was post war and we had some structural advantages, but the GDP grew at an average of 4.2%.
00:13:06.000 We would kill for those numbers now.
00:13:07.000 It reached 7% to 8% on four different occasions during the 1950s.
00:13:12.000 And during those years, we only allowed 250,000 people to come into the country, 250,000 per year.
00:13:21.000 Now we allow 1.2 million a year.
00:13:24.000 Like I said, the foreign born population is now north of 15%.
00:13:27.000 But during the 1950s, Blake, did you know that the foreign born population went from in 1950, 6.9% of the population to 5.4% by 1960?
00:13:39.000 Invasion levels of immigration for cheap labor is not the key to growth, and the 1950s prove it.
00:13:45.000 But it is the key to ruining everything else in your country and culture.
00:13:49.000 That is my take.
00:13:50.000 Blake, what is yours?
00:13:51.000 I mean, it's just, first of all, it's so frustrating because.
00:13:55.000 It's like these guys persistently decide to just not get the point.
00:13:59.000 They don't get why Donald Trump was able to win the nomination in 2016, why he won that election, why he was able to come back and win in 24.
00:14:08.000 They don't get what issues fire up the base.
00:14:11.000 They don't get what the.
00:14:13.000 They seem incredibly pigheaded in refusing to see what the long term consequences of this are.
00:14:19.000 Okay, you say business owners want lower wages, and then these same people will turn around and scream, save us, when you have El Said.
00:14:28.000 Running in Michigan when you have these DSA candidates taking over New York City, taking over Wisconsin, taking over California.
00:14:38.000 All of this is very directly related to us having lots and lots of immigration from countries where socialism is the norm, where third world economics is the norm, and voting for it is the norm.
00:14:50.000 And so the long term effects of this are you dilute America's ability to be competitive.
00:14:56.000 The long term effect of this is you dilute what made America so special, what made America a desirable place for people.
00:15:02.000 To come to in the first place, and then they just deliver these lectures.
00:15:07.000 Oh, we have a shortage of workers, and it's not even really true.
00:15:12.000 And on top of that, like, use your brain.
00:15:15.000 What's everyone freaking out about right now?
00:15:16.000 Everyone's freaking out about artificial intelligence.
00:15:19.000 What could that mean?
00:15:20.000 Well, it might mean a lot of white collar jobs get automated away.
00:15:25.000 Young talk to a young computer science grad, the job market for them is very difficult right now.
00:15:29.000 How about manual labor jobs?
00:15:31.000 Go look at a video from China where they're making humanoid robots.
00:15:35.000 What these guys are proposing to do is bringing in people from foreign countries who will have the right that any kids they have will have birthright citizenship, thanks to our glorious Supreme Court.
00:15:46.000 Those birthright citizens can then sponsor their entire extended family to get permanent residency here and then ultimately citizenship as well.
00:15:53.000 They want to import all of those people when their jobs might be getting automated away.
00:15:58.000 This is the excuse we heard in the first Trump term who's going to drive the Ubers if we don't import a million immigrants?
00:16:03.000 Well, now we're on the brink of self driving cars and Are all of those Uber drivers going to go back to their home countries?
00:16:09.000 No, a bunch of them are citizens at this point.
00:16:11.000 And I'm even reading Deseret News's thing buried in Curtis's bill, even though he says it brings accountability and has safeguards, it has a pathway to legal residency for visa holders who are illegal immigrants physically present in the U.S. since December 31st,
00:16:28.000 2016.
00:16:29.000 They would need to undergo a background check and pay a penalty of wait for it, wait for it, Andrew $1,000.
00:16:36.000 Wow.
00:16:37.000 All right.
00:16:37.000 And so we're going to get a backdoor amnesty thrown in, just like they have in Spain, just like they have everywhere else.
00:16:43.000 How do you prove someone's been here since 2016?
00:16:45.000 I can't imagine that will be strictly enforced.
00:16:47.000 You only need one judge to say that actually, you know, you're not allowed to enforce that in any way.
00:16:52.000 This is just rank insanity that we've seen happen over and over and over again.
00:16:58.000 And it's like you said, it's so hard to just get two Republican senators who actually vote for what the base wants, which is also good for the party's long term interest, good for America's long term interest, just good for the country.
00:17:13.000 I just can't get over how dumb this is.
00:17:15.000 Well, and Blake, we can't forget the Dignidad Act.
00:17:20.000 That was sponsored by roughly 40 different politicians.
00:17:25.000 The chief sponsor would be Marie Salazar from Florida.
00:17:30.000 She's the author and previously introduced a different version in 2023.
00:17:35.000 And it has a bunch of Democrats sponsoring it as well.
00:17:38.000 And it's basically asylum reform and it gives legal status to dreamers.
00:17:44.000 And then that version, the Dignity Program, for eligible long term undocumented individuals present before roughly late 2020.
00:17:52.000 So, again, how are you going to prove somebody was here in 2020 or before?
00:17:58.000 These are experts at making up fake papers, folks.
00:18:01.000 And I can guarantee you there are a lot of lawyers and NGOs standing by to help them make their case.
00:18:07.000 So, once again, we have conservatives, so called conservatives, betraying the base, going against everything that put Donald Trump in office.
00:18:16.000 And it is so shameful that it deserves an entire eight minutes calling it out for what it is a betrayal of base voters, of what we voted for.
00:18:25.000 And we are sick of it.
00:18:27.000 So, Senator Curtis, I do not like your future political prospects.
00:18:32.000 Let's leave it at that.
00:18:36.000 For nearly 3,000 years, Homer's The Iliad has shaped the Western imagination.
00:18:42.000 As one of the foundational works of Western literature, it explores permanent questions about honor, courage, leadership, friendship, justice, and what it means to live a noble life.
00:18:53.000 In one of the epic's defining moments, Achilles returns to battle after the death of his beloved friend, Petrotius.
00:18:59.000 Setting aside his wounded pride to confront the responsibilities that come with greatness, his decision reveals one of the central themes of the Iliad that true greatness requires more than strength.
00:19:10.000 It demands character, sacrifice, and the pursuit of what is right.
00:19:14.000 That's why Hillsdale College has released its newest free online course, The Iliad.
00:19:19.000 Taught by Professor Stephen Smith, the course reveals why Homer's masterpiece remains one of the greatest works of Western literature.
00:19:27.000 Go to charlieforhillsdale.com.
00:19:32.000 Read the classics, study the West.
00:19:34.000 That's Charlie for Hillsdale.com.
00:19:39.000 We're going to turn our attention to Northwest Wisconsin, one of the most important races and primaries out there.
00:19:46.000 This is a Turning Point Action endorsed Michael Alfonso.
00:19:50.000 He's just 26 years old.
00:19:52.000 He had a daughter six weeks ago, and he's running to backfill Tom Tiffany's seat, who's running for governor in that state.
00:19:59.000 Pretty cool to have a Freedom Caucus aligned young 26 year old.
00:20:03.000 Getting into the fray.
00:20:04.000 So, without further ado, let's welcome Michael Alfonso to the show.
00:20:07.000 Good to have you, Michael, and good to see you.
00:20:10.000 Thanks for having me, Andrew.
00:20:11.000 So, tell us about your race, the dynamics of it, what you're up against with this primary.
00:20:16.000 It's a primary, it's just about a week away, if I'm not mistaken.
00:20:20.000 Who are you up against, and what differentiates the two of you?
00:20:23.000 Yeah, so, you know, right now it's an open seat race for a relatively safe Republican seat.
00:20:30.000 So, there's about eight separate people in this primary.
00:20:34.000 But you know, I think what really separates me is, and we're seeing this in Wisconsin, this rise of socialism.
00:20:41.000 And frankly, I don't even like calling it socialism because it's communism.
00:20:45.000 That's what socialism becomes.
00:20:48.000 My grandparents came to this country from Cuba.
00:20:50.000 I know all about this socialism lie.
00:20:53.000 But the leading candidate for governor here in Wisconsin is a socialist, a communist.
00:20:59.000 And I think when we look at the polling, just where is this movement coming from?
00:21:04.000 It's coming from young people.
00:21:05.000 That's why I think it's so important to have young voices on the right who are working on winning that next generation.
00:21:11.000 And that's what I think I do best.
00:21:13.000 I think that's really well said.
00:21:16.000 And you brought it up, this Francesca Hong character.
00:21:20.000 This was a clip that I saw last night for the first time.
00:21:23.000 And, you know, you're a son of Cuban immigrants, so this probably is going to be a perfect clip for you to respond to.
00:21:28.000 Sade.
00:21:30.000 What needs to be in curriculum for school boards?
00:21:33.000 You know, going back to making sure that talking about racial identity and the role of race is ubiquitous in classrooms.
00:21:40.000 She wants to put racial politics, racial grievances, and talking about race, she wants to make that ubiquitous in classrooms.
00:21:49.000 What good does this do for young Americans, Alfonso?
00:21:54.000 A whole lot of nothing.
00:21:55.000 You know, it wasn't long that I was on these college campuses.
00:21:59.000 I saw them trying to indoctrinate every single student that comes their way, but now they're trying to get it into the middle schools, the high schools, the grade schools.
00:22:08.000 What they're doing is they're going after our kids.
00:22:10.000 And that's what makes this movement so, so dangerous.
00:22:13.000 You know, I just had a daughter.
00:22:15.000 We're talking very seriously about homeschooling because we can't trust the schools.
00:22:20.000 We're paying every single year into a program that all it does is create new little leftists who hate the country.
00:22:28.000 I totally agree.
00:22:29.000 Blake, your reaction.
00:22:32.000 I just keep thinking how nice it is that we have another young guy running for Congress.
00:22:38.000 I don't imagine you were seeing our last segment, but we were just blowing up at Utah's Republican senator because he's pushing out this bill for amnesty for so many millions of illegal workers and bringing in new ones.
00:22:52.000 And we just have this conversation.
00:22:54.000 We get so many emails that say, what can we do about Congress?
00:22:58.000 Why are things so bad?
00:22:59.000 And what we always tell them is progress is coming one retirement at a time, one new election at a time.
00:23:06.000 And I feel optimistic because I don't know that I've ever seen a Republican candidate who's under the age of 40, like yourself, who's bad on the issues.
00:23:15.000 They might have other, you know, they might be inexperienced, they might not be the perfect candidate, but they actually get it on issues.
00:23:20.000 And even if they're a child of immigrants, even if they're from unconventional backgrounds, you guys just get it in a way all of our.
00:23:28.000 All of our older generation of guys, the guys who weren't around, who were around before Donald Trump, they just don't get it.
00:23:34.000 And so I'm just very grateful to have guys like you.
00:23:37.000 Well, thank you.
00:23:38.000 And, you know, I'm really glad you bring up the amnesty deal because this is a battle we see happening between the right.
00:23:43.000 Are we going to give people this path to citizenship while they're here?
00:23:47.000 What are we going to do?
00:23:48.000 Well, I actually put myself through college debt free by working construction.
00:23:53.000 And I will never forget, I was the foreman of a crew, and the guys who are working underneath me.
00:23:59.000 Brought home more money than I did because they were being paid under the table.
00:24:05.000 I was paying taxes.
00:24:06.000 You know, we talk about a labor shortage.
00:24:09.000 When kids go into a workforce like that, I can see why they're a little disillusioned.
00:24:14.000 That's a great point.
00:24:15.000 It's such a great point.
00:24:16.000 And by the way, it bears repeating that big business will never be satisfied with enough foreign labor.
00:24:22.000 They'll always want more.
00:24:23.000 They'll always say they need more.
00:24:25.000 We've experienced this since the 1960s.
00:24:27.000 When are we going to wake up and realize that they're addicted to cheap labor?
00:24:31.000 This is the same argument that.
00:24:33.000 Slave owners used in the South.
00:24:35.000 Okay.
00:24:36.000 It's ridiculous.
00:24:37.000 Now, you have a huge event coming up tonight with Riley Gaines.
00:24:41.000 Throw up 166 if you can, guys.
00:24:44.000 So, this is happening tonight, 6 p.m., Riverbend at River's Edge in New Richmond, Wisconsin, with the great Riley Gaines.
00:24:53.000 Tell us about it.
00:24:54.000 Yeah.
00:24:55.000 So, basically, what happened in New Richmond, Wisconsin, which was a predominantly pro Trump area, their school board got taken over and they didn't even realize it.
00:25:04.000 So, for about a year, there was a boy using the girl's bathroom.
00:25:08.000 And the parents found out about this.
00:25:10.000 They called an emergency school board meeting and the board.
00:25:14.000 Voted six to one to do nothing, not to protect the girls.
00:25:18.000 So, the President Trump, there's a lot of things that have happened, but President Trump is now investigating, probably going to sue the school district.
00:25:25.000 And we're holding this rally to show that the people of Wisconsin, of New Richmond, are not going to stand for this.
00:25:30.000 We're not going to allow women's spaces to be invaded by men.
00:25:34.000 We're not going to believe this ridiculous notion of a woman.
00:25:38.000 We believe in women as God created them.
00:25:41.000 And I also want to shout out the young girl who really made this whole thing public.
00:25:46.000 Her name's Ella Fry.
00:25:47.000 She's a 16 year old girl going to New Richmond High School.
00:25:51.000 The amount of hate she's received for just saying, I don't want to share a bathroom with a boy, has been ridiculous.
00:25:57.000 She's going to be there speaking tonight.
00:25:59.000 And, you know, I hope that everyone who's 16 years old is amazing as Ella Fry.
00:26:05.000 Our country will be good to go if it is.
00:26:08.000 Yeah, I mean, that's amazing that you're highlighting her story.
00:26:12.000 The fact that we're still dealing with this is obscene.
00:26:15.000 We see all these stories out of the WNBA.
00:26:16.000 Blake loves covering those stories.
00:26:18.000 We do it at least weekly now.
00:26:21.000 But I'm so glad that you got Riley Gaines up there who's been loud and out front in this issue.
00:26:27.000 She's fearless, she's courageous, and you're bringing that much needed attention.
00:26:31.000 You have this weird little nook in the country, Alfonso, where you're Northwest Wisconsin, you butt up against Minnesota, where so much of these crazy ideas are coming out of, which I find shocking because Minnesota,
00:26:45.000 most of the state feels very all American, you know, but yet this Minneapolis, St. Paul area, Get the craziest ideas and they bleed into your area.
00:26:56.000 Are you seeing that happen or am I mistaken in some way?
00:27:01.000 It's just really a couple bad eggs.
00:27:03.000 You know, most of the people from Minnesota who come to Wisconsin are coming here for a reason.
00:27:09.000 They don't want that madness.
00:27:10.000 And one of the big things Republicans across the western part of Wisconsin are campaigning on is don't Minnesota my Wisconsin.
00:27:18.000 You guys already messed that area up.
00:27:20.000 Stay over there.
00:27:21.000 But if you want to bring your pro, Pro women votes over here, you're pro bringing back the American economy votes over to Wisconsin.
00:27:29.000 We need them because we have a very serious race.
00:27:33.000 Yeah, I just think it's, I'm almost shocked.
00:27:36.000 Wisconsin, it feels like it should be a redder state because you do have Minnesota is kind of the top avatar of liberalism, certainly that really radical liberalism in the United States.
00:27:49.000 And we've seen that where the results are that they positively wrecked Minneapolis, they let the city get.
00:27:56.000 Torched, they let it get looted, they let murders roam free.
00:28:00.000 And then, I mean, the insane Somali scams, all sorts of welfare fraud.
00:28:06.000 You have Tim Walz going around doing his Tim Walz things and looking like a cartoon character.
00:28:11.000 And now you have this Francesca Hong individual.
00:28:15.000 She's running to become the governor of the state.
00:28:18.000 Can you tell us a little bit how that is affecting all the races across the state that she's becoming essentially the statewide leader of the opposing party?
00:28:30.000 Yeah, you know, I like to say that the Democrats, traditional Democrats, have been so disappointing that even the Democrats are looking for something else.
00:28:40.000 You know, I mean, Joe Biden left us with the worst inflation crisis we've had in 40 years.
00:28:45.000 So, you know, now these leftists are saying, well, we need to push even further to the left.
00:28:50.000 But when you look at Wisconsin, what you're talking about was saying, you know, these are great people.
00:28:54.000 They're salt of the earth people.
00:28:56.000 They're not going to vote for socialism.
00:28:58.000 We have some of the most public universities in the entire country.
00:29:03.000 We have UW-Madison, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Stout.
00:29:07.000 The list goes on and on.
00:29:08.000 And that's why it's so important to win young people.
00:29:12.000 they're making a difference with their vote in the wrong way.
00:29:15.000 And, you know, I have to bring this up because Charlie Kirk was actually a big reason why I decided to run for this seat.
00:29:23.000 You know, I met him at the RNC.
00:29:25.000 I actually produced his podcast in Milwaukee at the Rumble studio.
00:29:29.000 And, you know, Charlie never gave up on my generation.
00:29:32.000 I credit him with winning Trump the election in 2024 because young men actually swung for Trump.
00:29:40.000 And if we don't start targeting the young people, we might win one election or two elections.
00:29:46.000 But we will lose the country in 20 years.
00:29:48.000 And as a new father, I really care about what happens to the country in 20, 40, 50 years.
00:29:55.000 All right.
00:29:55.000 So, Michael, we've got this Zoran Momdani character in New York City.
00:29:59.000 You might have heard of him.
00:30:01.000 And one of his big deals was he's coming out with a grocery store in each of the five boroughs of New York City.
00:30:08.000 And he says that prices are going to be 30% cheaper.
00:30:11.000 And that apparently you need an ID now to check out, to take advantage of these.
00:30:17.000 Cheaper prices, which is hilarious because Democrats hate IDs.
00:30:22.000 But it's a larger, I think, story that I want to talk to you about because young people, I'll never forget when we were doing our CLS roundtable at the Chapter Leadership Summit in DC just a few weeks ago.
00:30:33.000 One of the students said, Hey, listen, you know, for me, it's as simple as like, I shouldn't have to pay $20 for a burrito.
00:30:39.000 And I said that on social media, and a bunch of people were like, I can get burritos for 15 bucks with rice and beans.
00:30:44.000 Well, okay, sure.
00:30:45.000 But a lot of burritos cost 20 bucks.
00:30:47.000 There is a felt need out there with young people.
00:30:50.000 That things just feel too expensive.
00:30:52.000 What do you say to people when you meet them on the campaign trail and they're complaining about affordability?
00:30:57.000 And what would you do about it?
00:30:59.000 Yeah, you know, I tell them don't listen to the lies of free stuff.
00:31:03.000 You know, the socialists have the easy pitch.
00:31:05.000 They go to these kids who can't afford health care.
00:31:07.000 They don't have a good job.
00:31:08.000 They can't afford a home.
00:31:10.000 And they say, How would you like a free home?
00:31:12.000 How would you like free health care?
00:31:14.000 Well, we know, you and I know that that doesn't work.
00:31:17.000 That makes everybody equitable in their levels of suffering.
00:31:21.000 That's the only thing it does.
00:31:22.000 Republicans actually have a plan.
00:31:24.000 We're going to cut government spending.
00:31:26.000 And I know every politician comes on and says, we're going to cut government spending.
00:31:31.000 Well, all we have to do is get rid of the fraud, waste, and abuse.
00:31:35.000 I mean, it took a 24 year old named Nick Shirley with an iPhone camera to uncover $12 billion of fraud in Minneapolis alone.
00:31:46.000 How much is happening in Chicago, which we know is way more corrupt than Minneapolis?
00:31:51.000 It's very simple.
00:31:52.000 We need to prioritize the next generation.
00:31:55.000 $40 trillion in debt is not going to work.
00:31:58.000 There's no wonder we have crazy inflation when we're spending hand over fist.
00:32:03.000 Thanks, Joe Biden, for that one.
00:32:06.000 Yeah, I think that's really well said.
00:32:07.000 There's three drivers, as I see it, to inflation.
00:32:10.000 And Blake, I'll get your response after this.
00:32:13.000 One, we print money like a bunch of drunk sailors.
00:32:16.000 What does that do?
00:32:17.000 You have more dollars in the system chasing fewer goods, and that is what drives inflation.
00:32:22.000 Okay, we saw this in a huge way during COVID, where we saw the largest wealth transfer to the elites and the top earners because they own.
00:32:30.000 They own equities.
00:32:31.000 They own stocks that inflate in value when inflation happens.
00:32:34.000 Guess who gets hurt?
00:32:35.000 Working class, young people that are trying to enter the workforce.
00:32:38.000 That's who it hurts the most.
00:32:40.000 Number two is going to be mass immigration.
00:32:42.000 It's a supply and demand issue.
00:32:43.000 We're seeing this in places in Texas where the studies have come out where you don't have as many H 1Bs, you don't have as many immigrants.
00:32:51.000 And guess what?
00:32:51.000 Home prices are dropping, rent prices are dropping, supply and demand.
00:32:55.000 Third, bad regulation.
00:32:56.000 Okay?
00:32:57.000 Those are the three drivers of prices.
00:32:59.000 Okay?
00:33:00.000 Now, what happened during the Biden years is that we had a lot of inflation, and that hangover is still felt, and people aren't getting the relief immediately.
00:33:08.000 And I understand that that's painful, but Blake, and maybe this is your time to chime in here.
00:33:12.000 The siren song of free stuff populism, of free stuff is going to fix everything.
00:33:18.000 Why is that so disastrous in the long run?
00:33:20.000 Well, I'll just put it this way.
00:33:23.000 I think we actually get distracted when we let them say the problem is $20 burritos or groceries are too expensive.
00:33:30.000 The big drivers of why your life feels like you cannot afford it is the stuff you're listening to.
00:33:37.000 Housing is bad.
00:33:38.000 Healthcare is bad.
00:33:39.000 Education has gotten incredibly bad in terms of its price inflation over time.
00:33:43.000 Childcare is really bad.
00:33:44.000 And what sets all of those things apart is those are places where our glorious government has said, oh, these goods are expensive and important to people.
00:33:53.000 Let's heavily regulate and shape these markets and make all of these guarantees.
00:33:58.000 And all that they've done is lock in ever increasing prices.
00:34:02.000 It's like what we saw with student loans, where when the government said, we'll pay any amount for a student loan and just grant it no questions asked.
00:34:10.000 And so the schools, just like clockwork, were upping their tuition five, six, seven, eight percent per year because they could get away with it.
00:34:17.000 And as soon as the Trump administration came in and said, we're not going to up this mindlessly every year, you started seeing schools say, actually, this year we're going to experiment with a tuition freeze, or it's only going to go up 1%.
00:34:29.000 Suddenly, different behaviors were coming out.
00:34:32.000 And if we let them impose this on, for example, groceries, what you will find is you might get some immediate short term relief.
00:34:41.000 You know, it feels good to be given a free thing tomorrow, but the long run is you're going to have less of those goods available.
00:34:48.000 The long term increase in prices is going to be high.
00:34:50.000 You're going to have fewer grocery stores around because, spoilers, that is what happened every time this is done.
00:34:56.000 It's what happened in the Soviet Union.
00:34:57.000 It's what happens in Latin America.
00:34:59.000 It's what happens every time they try price controls.
00:35:01.000 We have to not let this insidious ideology get in.
00:35:05.000 It will impoverish us the way it's impoverished so many countries around the world.
00:35:09.000 Michael, final word to you, and please tell people where they can go to support you and what the action steps are to get involved in your campaign.
00:35:16.000 And your primary comes up on Tuesday.
00:35:18.000 Yeah, so early voting is actually open right now.
00:35:21.000 So, you can vote pretty much all the way through up until August 11th.
00:35:25.000 That's the final day.
00:35:26.000 And you can go to alfonsoforwisconsin.com to check out about the campaign, see the issues page, and volunteer, donate.
00:35:34.000 Anything really helps.
00:35:36.000 But truly, the most important thing is prayers because we know how dangerous and, frankly, difficult the political world can be.
00:35:43.000 So, prayers mean the most.
00:35:46.000 Amen.
00:35:46.000 And I just want to echo what Blake said earlier.
00:35:48.000 We're so grateful for young voices like yourself that are proud conservatives that are.
00:35:54.000 Proudly American, that are willing to step into the breach and be a counterweight to the Hassan Pikers and the crazy murderers' row of DSA that is rising all across the country, you are more important than you realize.
00:36:08.000 And we hope that soon enough you will be joining the ranks of Anna Polina Luna, Tim Burchett, and Brandon Gill in Congress, Herrera, these other young, new voices that actually get it, that aren't speaking like a generation gone by,
00:36:23.000 that understand the challenges.
00:36:24.000 Today and then understand what Gen Z is really up against.
00:36:27.000 Michael Alfonso, we have your back 100% and we're proud to stand with you, my friend.
00:36:31.000 So, Godspeed on Tuesday.
00:36:32.000 Thanks so much for having me.

00:37:36.000 You have the people that are saying, no, no, no, there is something to do about it.
00:37:40.000 We're going to merge right wing social policy with left wing economic policy.
00:37:45.000 And how are we going to do that?
00:37:46.000 Well, We're going to be the ones that control the government.
00:37:50.000 And we're going to use the government to make the economy work for our people.
00:37:54.000 And then anybody who disagrees with us, well, clearly they've been bought off by somebody, by the establishment, by Israel, whoever it is.
00:38:01.000 They've been bought off.
00:38:02.000 They can't be trusted.
00:38:05.000 And so what am I watching?
00:38:06.000 I'm watching the left engage in an action of identity politics, grievance politics, oppressor and oppressed dynamics.
00:38:13.000 And now I'm watching a section of the right engage in the exact same thing.
00:38:16.000 I understand the argument of saying, Well, when you have legitimate power, you better use it to protect your institutions.
00:38:22.000 I agree with that.
00:38:23.000 Does that mean we give it up?
00:38:26.000 We throw it out?
00:38:29.000 Well, yeah, Nick, because look, it's not working right now.
00:38:31.000 Does that mean it never worked?
00:38:33.000 We have Nick Friedas, the star of that great clip, joining us now.
00:38:37.000 He's a former Green Beret, and you can find him at exit Nick Friedas.
00:38:42.000 And he's the author of a book that I just love the cover of, The Man Book.
00:38:46.000 So throw that up.
00:38:47.000 I know that was a few months ago, but it's worth throwing up again because he's A point by point guide to sucking it up and getting the job done.
00:38:55.000 I just love that title.
00:38:56.000 It tells you how to kick down doors and so many other cool things that guys need to know.
00:39:00.000 Nick, welcome back to the show.
00:39:01.000 It's great to see you, my friend.
00:39:04.000 And I wish we were under better circumstances, but you are reacting in that clip to what we could only call a mass demoralization campaign that we're seeing play out in social media and podcasts from the right.
00:39:17.000 So tell us what you're seeing and why you decided to make that clip and start speaking out.
00:39:22.000 Well, I think the thing that really frustrated me is.
00:39:26.000 This whole idea that all is lost, that our elections mean nothing because they're all rigged, that nothing has happened.
00:39:32.000 The Trump administration has done absolutely nothing.
00:39:35.000 I hear this all the time from members of the right because they're frustrated that it hasn't done enough.
00:39:40.000 And so, what I'm seeing over and over again is this again, I don't want to call it an attempt.
00:39:45.000 I don't know if it's just they're genuinely demoralized or they're actively trying to demoralize people, but it's this idea that there's nothing we can do about our situation except, I guess, complain and like.
00:39:56.000 Follow and subscribe the various influencers that are pushing this particular narrative.
00:40:01.000 And there's a.
00:40:02.000 There's a very, very big difference between someone that says, I am frustrated because I voted for one thing and I don't feel like i'm getting it.
00:40:08.000 There's a very big difference between that versus somebody that says nothing has happened.
00:40:12.000 There's no difference between the parties, it's all one big uniparty and i'm looking at that like that is verifiable garbage.
00:40:20.000 It's absolute nonsense.
00:40:23.000 It is totally accurate to say I don't think enough has been done.
00:40:26.000 It is totally accurate to say that we have some people that claim to be Republicans and then govern very differently when we actually elect them.
00:40:32.000 But to suggest that they're all the same, look, as someone that just had to leave Virginia, because I love Virginia, but as someone that had to leave it because it decided to lose its mind during the last election cycle, I can tell you right now,
00:40:46.000 as frustrated as you might be with certain people on the right, and rightfully so, if you honestly believe that there's no difference, oh, well, I encourage you to look at a state that was once governed by people that actually believed in things like individual liberty,
00:41:01.000 private property rights, Second Amendment rights, pro-life.
00:41:04.000 Versus now, when it's actually run by people that want abortion all the way up to the point of birth and want pornography within your public school library and believe that your guns should be confiscated from you or severely restricted.
00:41:16.000 Because there is a significant difference between living in one of those two places.
00:41:21.000 No, I love that.
00:41:23.000 I get frustrated as well.
00:41:25.000 There's so many cases where I often use the term I use for it is like emotional incontinence.
00:41:31.000 I think what drives a lot of it is it's, I've mentioned this, it's a little addictive.
00:41:36.000 To be really emotionally built up, really angry, really sad.
00:41:41.000 That's why people like watching horror movies or really sad movies because they get a rush out of those emotions.
00:41:47.000 And I think we're seeing that play out on social media over and over again that it's really satisfying to say they've completely ruined it.
00:41:55.000 2024 was for nothing, it's all a waste.
00:41:59.000 And it's a lot more,
00:42:02.000 when you have nuance, it's a lot less satisfying to come out and say there's ways the administration has fallen short.
00:42:07.000 There's other ways the administration is doing great.
00:42:09.000 Here's what they can do to make things go better.
00:42:12.000 Here's what they can do to turn the polls around.
00:42:15.000 And we really have a moral responsibility, I think.
00:42:18.000 Charlie was very aware of this.
00:42:19.000 That's what was going on when he would say, no blackpilling.
00:42:22.000 It doesn't mean never complain, never criticize.
00:42:24.000 It's that anytime you're complaining and criticizing, it needs to be aiming to help somebody, give them an action item, direct someone in the right direction.
00:42:33.000 Here's how we fix it.
00:42:34.000 Here's how lawmakers can fix it.
00:42:36.000 And I think it's a discussion that needs to be had because I think.
00:42:39.000 There's a lot of runaway dooming, a lot of runaway complaining on the right, and it could cause the left to take over the country again.
00:42:47.000 Well, and I just want to say, too, that it's very difficult to build something.
00:42:51.000 It's very difficult to build something.
00:42:53.000 Very difficult to build the coalition that won in 2024.
00:42:57.000 It is very easy to be a doomer.
00:42:59.000 It's very easy to be a black pillar.
00:43:01.000 It's very easy to tear down and destroy.
00:43:04.000 And, Nick, I heard you trying to chime in here, but I just want to say that it is so easy and it's morally lazy, it's morally repugnant, actually.
00:43:13.000 To be a doomer.
00:43:14.000 Go ahead, Nick.
00:43:16.000 Well, no, I was basically going to say something very similar.
00:43:19.000 I remember watching people when I was in the legislature in Virginia, and I was one vote out of 100 in the Virginia General Assembly and one vote in the 100 of the Virginia House of Delegates.
00:43:29.000 And I would carry a bill and I would lobby for the bill and I would argue for the bill in subcommittee and I would go out on social media and tell everyone what exactly was happening with the bill.
00:43:37.000 And then the bill wouldn't pass.
00:43:38.000 And I'd be told, I'm sick of excuses, Nick.
00:43:41.000 I'm like, dude, I'm one vote out of 100 in the Virginia House of Delegates.
00:43:46.000 and the Democrats control the building right now.
00:43:48.000 What more would you like me to do?
00:43:51.000 And it was amazing because a lot of the times those criticisms, those criticisms would come from one of two people.
00:43:57.000 It was either people that were just fed up, but then once you explained what you were doing, why you were trying to do it, and how they could help, they got to work.
00:44:05.000 I love those people.
00:44:06.000 I love those people because they're not obsessed with politics, but they expect something substantive to get done.
00:44:12.000 And if you can actually direct them on how they can help in a practical and meaningful way, they do it.
00:44:18.000 They do it.
00:44:18.000 Then there's another group.
00:44:20.000 And this is the group that gets this intense moral satisfaction out of risking nothing, putting in zero work other than complaining about everybody else.
00:44:31.000 And in the moment, they never want to run for office themselves.
00:44:34.000 They never want to put in any actual work because who cares?
00:44:37.000 And well, they would never get elected because they're too honest.
00:44:40.000 I look at those people, I say, gosh, you know, I sure wish you were in charge.
00:44:44.000 You apparently have all of the answers.
00:44:47.000 And if only we could get you into a position of real authority, you'd achieve everything.
00:44:51.000 But they don't want that position.
00:44:53.000 Because deep down, they know they wouldn't be able to accomplish anything and they don't want to be held accountable.
00:44:57.000 This is Teddy Roosevelt's the critic versus the man in the arena.
00:45:01.000 And so I've always been very big.
00:45:02.000 It's one of the things, again, I've always appreciated about Charlie.
00:45:05.000 It was like, if you're upset about something, I have a way that you can actually be more effective.
00:45:11.000 And the people that actually take up that call and do it, those are the ones that I respect.
00:45:16.000 Those are the ones whose critiques, whose arguments, whose frustrations, I have no problem listening to because I know they're going to put in the work to actually do something about it.
00:45:24.000 But then you've got this whole other group where they honestly believe that, well, I showed up and voted.
00:45:28.000 Oh, well, I guess that's the totality of your civic duty.
00:45:31.000 I guess nothing else is required to protect our civilization, our way of life, our system, except for you to show up and vote, right?
00:45:39.000 That's it.
00:45:40.000 The people that voted to separate from England in the first place, that was all they should have had to do, right?
00:45:45.000 Like, hey, King George, we're out.
00:45:47.000 And no other requirements, right?
00:45:48.000 No other duties or obligations on your part.
00:45:51.000 You just, hey, you're just there for moral support.
00:45:54.000 I'm sorry.
00:45:55.000 I got nothing for that.
00:45:57.000 And the more they talk and the more they gather influence online, the conclusion I come to is this serves no one except the left.
00:46:06.000 Because the Mamdani wing of the Democratic Party is taking over right now.
00:46:10.000 If they can't get your vote, they will settle for your apathy all the way up until the point where they have enough power and then it doesn't matter anymore.
00:46:18.000 So, again, I will listen to critiques from anybody in the trenches.
00:46:21.000 Wow.
00:46:22.000 What you just said, Nick, is powerful.
00:46:24.000 If they can't get your vote, they will settle for your apathy.
00:46:27.000 Man, that is so good.
00:46:28.000 All right.
00:46:28.000 So, this whole thing, Nick, made me.
00:46:31.000 Remember Yuri Bezmanov, who was a KGB defector from the Soviet Union, and he warned against these demoralization campaigns.
00:46:42.000 And it feels like we're living through this mass psychosis where everybody's just like dooming, and that hits the clicks.
00:46:48.000 And if you're not super cynical, nobody believes you because you got to be a paid op or a shill or something like that.
00:46:54.000 Nobody ever seems to give any credence to the idea that we just love our country, and I have kids, and you have kids, and Blake's going to have a lot of kids.
00:47:01.000 And we just want a country to pass down to the next generation that looks better than the one we got, okay?
00:47:06.000 Nobody thinks about that, okay?
00:47:08.000 But let's hear him in his own words and I'll have you react on the other side.
00:47:11.000 SOT24.
00:47:12.000 They are contaminated.
00:47:14.000 They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli in a certain pattern.
00:47:19.000 You cannot change their mind.
00:47:20.000 Even if you expose them to authentic information, even if you prove that white is white and black is black, you still cannot change the basic perception and the logic of behavior.
00:47:34.000 In other words, these people, the process of demoralization is complete and irreversible.
00:47:40.000 To get rid of society of these people, you need another 20 or 15 years to educate a new generation of patriotically minded and common sense people who would be acting in favor and in the interests of the United States society.
00:48:03.000 There's so much in that clip, Nick.
00:48:05.000 Because I think about the work Charlie was doing raising up that generation of patriotic Americans and how much work was done in that direction.
00:48:12.000 And it feels like we've taken a couple steps back.
00:48:14.000 But what he says about the fact that you could tell them black is black and white is white, they still won't acknowledge the truth.
00:48:22.000 So when we talk about, hey, we've gotten rid of 1.4 million people, illegals out of this country, which is a fact that I tweeted about over the weekend, a lot of people came in the comments and said, so what?
00:48:34.000 That's nothing.
00:48:34.000 Well, guess what?
00:48:35.000 The alternative is three to five million illegals every year under the Democrats.
00:48:39.000 So don't tell me it's nothing.
00:48:41.000 But the floor is yours, Nick.
00:48:43.000 Your reaction to this demoralization campaign.
00:48:47.000 Well, Yuri Bezmanov was talking about something called active measures that was put out by the Soviet Union.
00:48:51.000 It was, again, a very active, well funded attempt in order to influence through our university system, through our culturally shaping institutions.
00:48:59.000 And one of the things he talked about was the ability of these things to basically outlive themselves.
00:49:03.000 So essentially, the Soviet Union is no more.
00:49:05.000 Does that mean that the programs that they implemented are no longer successful?
00:49:09.000 No, I would argue that they've been wildly successful with a number of generations of Americans that have been taught to believe that the United States or the West in general is evil, it's bad, it's fundamentally flawed.
00:49:20.000 And it has to be overthrown.
00:49:22.000 And that's where you get everything from wokeism to third worldism to decolonization to all the little hot words that are used by people that all have essentially the same moral and philosophical foundation.
00:49:33.000 But what you see going on on the right is different right now.
00:49:37.000 The right is looking at this.
00:49:38.000 I was actually speaking at the ARC conference in London.
00:49:43.000 And I said, one of the things that we have to do on the right is be careful about something.
00:49:46.000 And that is if all we're telling young men is you have to fight hard to protect Western civilization.
00:49:52.000 So GDP numbers go up.
00:49:54.000 That's not sufficient, right?
00:49:57.000 It's right now you are looking at young men in the West who have been told repeatedly for the last two to three decades that they're the source of all the world's ills, that they're the problem, that they're evil, they're fascist, they're racist, they're sexist, they're bigoted, whatever.
00:50:10.000 And they're looking at their own conduct and saying, I don't buy this.
00:50:13.000 I wasn't these things.
00:50:14.000 But you're telling me to defend Western civilization.
00:50:16.000 What do you mean by that?
00:50:18.000 Should I defend the thing that has been doing this to me for the past three decades, or should I defend the thing that was powerless to stop it?
00:50:26.000 And that's a good point.
00:50:28.000 But if you end the conversation there, then all you're going to get is demoralization.
00:50:32.000 And there's some people that have built a huge audience by telling young men, especially, it's not worth it.
00:50:37.000 It all sucks.
00:50:38.000 It all needs to be burned down.
00:50:40.000 And you have to ask the question what are they after?
00:50:44.000 How do they possibly believe that this is going to yield better results further along down the line?
00:50:49.000 And what I want to do is I want to remind young men that, no, the thing that we're asking them to defend is not just Western civilization.
00:50:55.000 I'm asking people to defend Christendom.
00:50:58.000 And that's not because Christendom has always had the best fighters.
00:51:02.000 It's not because our way of life in the United States has always been represented by the best people.
00:51:07.000 That's never the case.
00:51:09.000 That is human nature.
00:51:11.000 The real question they have to ask yourself is, is what you believe true?
00:51:16.000 And I believe that Christianity is true.
00:51:19.000 I believe that this country, that our way of life was fundamentally built upon Christian ethics and theology.
00:51:25.000 I believe that we then used centuries of wisdom with respect to trying to avoid the concentration of power.
00:51:32.000 In the hands of a few, and that our founders set up an incredible system of government that has, in many respects, stood the test of time beautifully and, and I am not.
00:51:43.000 I am not about to look at our system, i'm not about to look at my, our faith.
00:51:48.000 I'm not about to look at the incredible history that the United States has and throw it all out because currently it has some really bad stewards, or that it has had some really bad stewards in the immediate past.
00:52:02.000 I want to find the people that want to once again reference not just the Constitution,
00:52:09.000 but the ideas that informed it and said, I'm willing to fight for those.
00:52:13.000 I'm willing to fight for those.
00:52:14.000 I'm willing to give up everything for those, just like the people that went before me.
00:52:19.000 And that's what I want young men, that's what I want young people in the United States to understand is that nothing is easier than to throw in the towel and say it all sucks.
00:52:28.000 But unless you're really willing to accept that we're in the worst and most dire period of all of American history, and so therefore your effort is no longer necessary or warranted, if you're really willing to say that, well, then what do you say?
00:52:42.000 What do you say to the people that actually went across the Delaware with George Washington?
00:52:47.000 On the verge of the Continental Army collapsing?
00:52:49.000 What do you say to the 19 year olds that stormed beaches at Normandy?
00:52:53.000 What do you say to every other American that had to face incredible to existential crises with an American history and rose up and conquered it and created something better?
00:53:05.000 What, you're just not worthy of that legacy?
00:53:08.000 I don't believe that's true.
00:53:10.000 But I also believe that one of the keys here is that, and this is something that this is the reason why Charlie's legacy endures.
00:53:18.000 Because there's been a lot of people that were able to talk about politics effectively.
00:53:21.000 The reason why Charlie's legacy endures is because he didn't just point to an election cycle, he pointed to God and he pointed to family.
00:53:27.000 You give men God and family, they'll fight for the civilization in order to protect it.
00:53:33.000 Beautifully said, Nick.
00:53:34.000 Thank you so much.
00:53:35.000 We'll talk to you soon.
00:53:39.000 I had the honor of a lifetime to call Charlie a friend.
00:53:43.000 And what I remember most wasn't just what people saw on stage, it was What was behind the scenes?
00:53:50.000 That was an unwavering commitment to his faith, his love for his family, and his genuine desire to encourage others to live with courage and conviction.
00:53:59.000 Charlie believed that following Christ wasn't something you compartmentalize.
00:54:03.000 He didn't put it in a box, he lived it out loud.
00:54:05.000 It shaped how he lived, how he served, how he treated people every single day.
00:54:10.000 Charlie Kirk, American Martyr, captures that heart.
00:54:13.000 This documentary isn't just simply about remembering Charlie, it's an invitation for each of us to ask what kind of legacy we're building.
00:54:21.000 And whether we're willing to stand firm in our own faith when it's tested.
00:54:25.000 I hope that you'll watch it with your family and have those conversations together.
00:54:29.000 Go to angel.comslash Kirk.
00:54:31.000 That's angel.comslash Kirk.

00:54:42.000 All
00:54:45.000 right, without further ado, we have the great Helen Andrews, who's the author of Boomers, the Men and Women Who Promised Freedom and Delivered Disaster.
00:54:54.000 We had her on for one of my favorite articles of all time about the wokeism is just feminism that is institutionalized with our businesses.
00:55:04.000 Great conversation.
00:55:05.000 And now she's got a new one from Compact Magazine, The Racial Crossroads.
00:55:09.000 Helen Andrews, Blake was the one who showed me this article.
00:55:13.000 Helen, it is amazing and it's so important.
00:55:16.000 So welcome back to the show.
00:55:17.000 I can't wait to have this discussion with you.
00:55:19.000 Blake, do you want to take it away?
00:55:21.000 Yeah.
00:55:21.000 I mean, let's just dive right into it.
00:55:24.000 You describe America.
00:55:25.000 As the title says, we're at a racial crossroads.
00:55:28.000 A great decision has to be made.
00:55:32.000 Helen, why don't you just tell our listeners what is the decision America has to make in your view?
00:55:37.000 A lot of people are walking around feeling like the insanity we all live through in 2020 is thankfully behind us and we don't have to worry about wokeness anymore.
00:55:46.000 I am here to tell you, unfortunately, that that's not true because the factors that led to the episode of racial hysteria that we live through in 2020.
00:55:56.000 It wasn't just a random episode that was caused by George Floyd.
00:56:00.000 These are deep problems related to decades long demographic trends.
00:56:05.000 To put it in a single sentence, the racial regime that we crafted in the 1960s for an America that was 90% white and 10% black, roughly, is no longer going to function effectively in the America that's coming down the pike and that Generation Z is already living in, when it's less than 50% white and the people who are able to claim special treatment under our system of racial laws.
00:56:36.000 Are actually a demographic majority.
00:56:39.000 That is just a recipe for race intruding into every interaction, every institution, every political issue.
00:56:46.000 And that's an extremely toxic outcome that we are now at a decision point when we're kind of almost at the last moment when we can avert that bad outcome.
00:56:56.000 I think this is what's so important about it.
00:56:59.000 You describe how, first of all, you say the Trump administration's done good stuff, they've actually been trying to apply.
00:57:08.000 Civil rights laws fairly and say, it says you can't discriminate based on race.
00:57:12.000 You guys have been discriminating against white people.
00:57:14.000 That's not allowed.
00:57:15.000 But you make the case that this is inherently doomed as long as we're locked in seeing race with every single thing that we do.
00:57:24.000 And I love the idiom you use to describe this.
00:57:27.000 You describe what it was like living in Soviet Russia and what it meant to live in a Marxist system.
00:57:33.000 Can you build out that comparison, the Marxist system that the Soviet Union had versus our race system that we live under?
00:57:41.000 If you've been on the internet, you may have seen people refer to the modern left's ideology as race communism.
00:57:48.000 I liked that phrase when I first came across it because I thought it was funny.
00:57:51.000 But the more I thought about it, the more I realized it's not actually a joke.
00:57:55.000 In the Soviet Union of the 60s and 70s, it wasn't the Stalinist era anymore.
00:58:01.000 No one was getting thrown into gulags.
00:58:04.000 But it was still an oppressive place to live because the government had a clear, specific ideology.
00:58:12.000 And it put that ideology into everything.
00:58:15.000 Every institution had a commissar whose whole job it was to enforce the party line on his workplace, his factory, his academic institute.
00:58:25.000 There was somebody whose job that was.
00:58:27.000 And I thought, well, we have that today.
00:58:29.000 That's just the HR person.
00:58:31.000 The HR person enforces our particular rules of political correctness.
00:58:36.000 Any place you work, if you work at an institution that employs more than 10 people, you've probably got an ideological enforcer on your staff.
00:58:43.000 So, this idea that our government Has an ideology, and it's not enough for people to sort of accept the government that they live under as legitimate.
00:58:54.000 They have to accept the ideology.
00:58:56.000 The government has, is evangelical about its ideological line.
00:59:00.000 That's a recipe for it's going to feel oppressive.
00:59:03.000 It is contrary to the basic principles that America used to be founded on, which is freedom of thought and freedom of philosophy.
00:59:11.000 It's not a recipe for solid, independent Republican citizenship if your government has an ideology that it feels it necessary to enforce on you.
00:59:20.000 I think it's a really good point.
00:59:22.000 Charlie would call HR departments and the DEI directors the commissars of wokeness, enforcing the party line.
00:59:29.000 And we have made progress.
00:59:30.000 We've been pushing back, but as we always say, woke is not dead.
00:59:33.000 I know woke was one of the terms that you bandied about in this piece, kind of wondering should that be the word or the phrase that we use to describe this turning point that we're at.
00:59:43.000 But you say this is one of the last points that we have to fix this problem.
00:59:50.000 What do you mean by that, and what would the solutions be?
00:59:55.000 I love the work that the Trump administration is doing on this front right now.
00:59:59.000 They are stacking up new wins every day on stuff like this.
01:00:03.000 Harmeet Dillon at the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice suing these schools that have been discriminating against white and Asian college applicants, med school applicants.
01:00:13.000 I think that's really great.
01:00:14.000 I love that they're suing businesses for their anti white DEI programs, telling them you can't racially humiliate your employees as part of a workplace seminar.
01:00:26.000 That's against the law.
01:00:27.000 I love what they're doing.
01:00:29.000 But I don't think it's a sustainable long term solution because if we get into a Situation where we conduct all of our politics by race based lawsuits, then the party of race, which is the Democrats, is better than us at that.
01:00:44.000 The law is tilted in their favor.
01:00:46.000 I think that's a battle we're going to lose.
01:00:48.000 So I think when we stack up these wins like the Trump administration is doing, we need to think about what's our long term strategy?
01:00:54.000 What's the end goal we really want to arrive at?
01:00:57.000 And my two cents is that the only solution to this toxic cycle of race based conflict that we're kind of just seeing the start of in America.
01:01:08.000 The only way to avert that is to go back to freedom of association and just enough with the race based lawsuits, period.
01:01:16.000 That's just not the way we should conduct our politics.
01:01:19.000 But right now, returning to freedom of association is kind of a political non starter.
01:01:24.000 So the only way to get liberal institutions to sort of entertain even that possibility would be to inflict enough pain on them now through the kinds of lawsuits that the Trump administration is targeting at places like Harvard.
01:01:41.000 If Harvard feels like it's inundated with lawsuits and the only way to stop it is to go back to freedom of association and just take race based lawsuits off the table completely,
01:01:54.000 I want to get Harvard to a point where Harvard would agree to that.
01:01:56.000 And I think the way to get Harvard to that point is to use these lawsuits based on equality under the law to inflict enough pain on them now.
01:02:04.000 I think that's so well said.
01:02:06.000 I want to explore another part where you lay out why this is so important and you talk about.
01:02:11.000 The accelerating decay.
01:02:13.000 And we saw this in the Soviet Union as well.
01:02:15.000 That it was, I mean, it was a country that could fight and win World War II in the 40s.
01:02:19.000 It put a man in the first man in space in the 50s, but by the 80s, it can't do anything and it entirely falls apart.
01:02:26.000 And I love how you highlight actually the Kamala Harris campaign in 2024 as this excellent example of where we're going.
01:02:32.000 That when we started with DEI and affirmative action, as you said, 90% white country, we have a 10% black underclass that hasn't done as well.
01:02:41.000 Let's give them a bit of a leg up.
01:02:43.000 But when half the population or more is eligible for this, higher and higher rungs of society are subject to this.
01:02:50.000 And so the Democrats run an unqualified DEI presidential candidate, not just someone who's checking boxes, but someone who's not capable of fulfilling this job.
01:03:01.000 And you mentioned Harvard as well.
01:03:03.000 Harvard had a DEI president.
01:03:05.000 They should have the smartest, best college president in the world.
01:03:09.000 And instead, they had this plagiarist charlatan.
01:03:12.000 Talk about other sources of collapse we're going to see in our society if we don't.
01:03:18.000 Get this race obsession out of our politics?
01:03:21.000 What else is going to break?
01:03:22.000 What's going to fall apart?
01:03:24.000 Well, the reason why the Kamala Harris incident was so striking for so many people is that the fundamental promise of the affirmative action regime is that it might sometimes be unfair.
01:03:35.000 You might sometimes give a job to somebody who wasn't quite as qualified as the most qualified white candidate, but that's okay in the interests of justice.
01:03:43.000 And at the end of the day, if it's something really important, you'll end up with somebody who meets minimal qualifications.
01:03:49.000 We're not going to elevate somebody who's Well, Kamala Harris kind of disproved that.
01:03:57.000 But it's exactly as you say, Blake.
01:03:59.000 The trouble with these forces of decay is that it's really hard to notice how much of your house the termites have eaten before it just falls down completely.
01:04:10.000 These incremental forces of decay can really go invisible for a really long time.
01:04:17.000 The air traffic controllers was a story that got a lot of coverage in 2023.
01:04:21.000 There were a lot of close calls at airports, planes almost hitting each other, and a lot of them were due to air traffic controller error.
01:04:29.000 And President Trump raised the possibility in a press conference that maybe this was the result of some really aggressive DEI measures that the Obama administration implemented through its FAA in the selection of air traffic controllers.
01:04:44.000 They basically threw out the standardized test completely and started picking air traffic controllers purely based on the color of their skin and diversity mandates.
01:04:55.000 Donald Trump speculated that that had led to a situation where they were less qualified.
01:04:59.000 And that's the thing, it's hard to notice until you get to the crisis point.
01:05:02.000 All right, so I have one question.
01:05:04.000 So whites, as a share of the global population, Helen, only make up about 10% of the world's population right now.
01:05:12.000 About 850 million whites, maybe a billion, depending on how you count it, out of 8.1 billion people on planet Earth.
01:05:19.000 So, how come everybody is so intense, it feels like, especially DSA candidates, the Democrats, but across the world about demonizing white people when some of the most successful societies are white societies?
01:05:33.000 And it seems like everybody wants to move.
01:05:35.000 To societies that have been built by Europeans and their descendants.
01:05:39.000 Explain this dynamic.
01:05:40.000 Is it all just grievance based?
01:05:42.000 It is.
01:05:43.000 The thing that disturbed me most about the racial hysteria of 2020 was not its intensity, it was the facility with the language of white supremacy that I saw among immigrants and children of immigrants.
01:05:58.000 One of the things that I mentioned in the piece is that it's striking how many members of the new DSA left, the sort of Momdani left, are themselves.
01:06:07.000 Immigrants or the children of immigrants.
01:06:09.000 These are people who were born in Africa or India or Francesca Hong, whose parents were from Korea.
01:06:15.000 These people have no personal connection to the episodes of American history that gave us our current racial bargain.
01:06:24.000 These are not people whose parents were around during the Civil Rights Movement or whose ancestors were affected by American slavery.
01:06:31.000 These are people who got here the historical equivalent of the day before yesterday, and yet they are.
01:06:36.000 Trading on hostility to me and my ancestors and my children in order to gain political power.
01:06:44.000 So I really, really am deeply worried about the left buying into a simplistic moral narrative of politics and American history that boils down to essentially white people bad, non white people good,
01:06:59.000 that can be assimilated into by any person who's not white from anywhere else on the planet.
01:07:05.000 Anyone else can just come here and join that anti white movement.
01:07:09.000 That's a recipe for disaster and expropriation and all kinds of horrible outcomes that we're even starting to see right now.
01:07:18.000 I feel a lot of dread.
01:07:19.000 Actually, I want to also emphasize the point everyone go follow her ex account.
01:07:23.000 I actually have a list on ex that I use that is my check daily list.
01:07:28.000 There are only, I think, five or six accounts on it, and Helen's is one of them.
01:07:32.000 So she is a highly worthy individual.
01:07:34.000 But I want to tie this back to your thesis last winter that we really liked about the great feminization that as our professional fields, law, Politics, everything else have had more women enter them, they've taken on more feminine modes.
01:07:48.000 And it feels like this is very similar that as we've become a more multiracial country, American politics and law and society has increasingly taken on this aspect of racial ethnic conflict as a core thing in everything that's going on.
01:08:05.000 And I guess what I worry about is you say in your own piece, we're approaching our last chance to diverge from this, but you also admit Democrats, the left, they're able to offer people a ton of things.
01:08:18.000 They're able to say, here's your villain, we're going to take their stuff and give it to you.
01:08:23.000 And the right, we can't compete with that if we're just rejecting racial politics.
01:08:29.000 So I know you're a writer, not a senator, not the president, but do you see a strategy that you think is viable for getting us on the superior path when we have that asymmetry in politics right now?
01:08:43.000 Step one just has to be to accept the truth and confront the truth.
01:08:47.000 Right now, I still see a lot of people on the right saying, Gosh, it's really frustrating.
01:08:53.000 Isn't it crazy that no Republican presidential candidate? Has won the vote of any racial or ethnic minority in any presidential election since Herbert Hoover.
01:09:04.000 We've never won the black or Hispanic or Asian vote.
01:09:07.000 It's just, it's crazy.
01:09:09.000 We need to do better.
01:09:10.000 We need to do more outreach.
01:09:13.000 And I fully agree that outreach to those demographics is excellent.
01:09:17.000 I think everybody should be a conservative, everybody should be a Republican, and those people included.
01:09:22.000 But the bottom line is you can't beat something with nothing.
01:09:26.000 And if the Democrats are saying, we're going to give you lots of privileges simply on the basis of your race, And people turn to the Republicans and say, okay, what's your counteroffer?
01:09:34.000 And we say our counteroffer is nothing, then that's not an effective negotiation.
01:09:39.000 So the only way to stop that toxic cycle is to do something decisive to take race based redistribution off the table entirely.
01:09:47.000 And I agree that we're not there right now in terms of being able to pull political levers to make that happen.
01:09:53.000 But that has to be the long term goal that we're working towards because anything else, these long term demographic trends are just going to pull us back towards the toxic cycle once again.
01:10:05.000 Yeah, and you know, I want to go back to your earlier point where you're talking about these DSA candidates.
01:10:09.000 Obviously, in Michigan, we've got Abdul El Sayed who's running in his primary, he's probably going to win.
01:10:15.000 And we played this clip earlier, but it bears repeating.
01:10:17.000 Play clip two.
01:10:19.000 Founded on the removal of a whole people.
01:10:23.000 Founded on the idea that we could compromise on whether or not people, as a function of the color of their skin, could be enslaved by other people.
01:10:34.000 Founded under the idea that all people are created equal, all men.
01:10:37.000 But that only meant certain men and not women.
01:10:43.000 So, this is happening tonight.
01:10:45.000 This is an Egyptian descent individual who is lecturing us about these moral failures of slavery that he has no connection to, Helen.
01:10:57.000 And that's a perfect embodiment of one of the key points I think you made in this interview.
01:11:03.000 The floor is yours.
01:11:03.000 Final minute.
01:11:05.000 And of course, it's affronting to hear somebody like Abdul Sayed talk like that.
01:11:09.000 But my concern isn't even with the effrontery he shows in talking like that.
01:11:14.000 My concern is that he enjoys favors under the law.
01:11:18.000 He is advantaged through various legal programs over white Americans whose families have been in this country for generations simply by virtue of being a non white person.
01:11:28.000 This legal dividing of America into non white and white and apportioning privileges to the former and disadvantages to the latter that's a system that worked okay in the America of 1965.
01:11:41.000 But our demographics have changed a lot since then.
01:11:44.000 And it's simply not going to be supportable as we proceed into a future of a majority minority America.
01:11:51.000 Helen Andrews, the racial crossroads at compactmag.com.

01:11:56.000 She is wonderful.
01:11:58.000 Helen, can we just put you in a lab and multiply you by a couple million?
01:12:03.000 That would be great.
01:12:04.000 You are fantastic.
01:12:04.000 I have three kids.
01:12:05.000 I'm doing my best.
