00:00:00.000 Hey, everybody, it's on the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:00:02.000 Rich Barris joins us and the perplexing issue of the MAGA base.
00:00:08.000 Why you guys never give up and you deserve great credit.

00:00:16.000 Get involved with TurningPointUSA at tpusa.com.
00:00:19.000 That is tpusa.com.
00:00:22.000 Buckle up, everybody.
00:00:23.000 Here we go.
00:00:24.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
00:00:26.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campuses.
00:00:28.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
00:00:31.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
00:00:35.000 I want to thank Charlie.
00:00:36.000 He's an incredible guy.
00:00:37.000 His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA.
00:00:45.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:00:54.000 That's why we are here.
00:00:57.000 Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandTodd.com.
00:01:06.000 There's something happening right now.
00:01:08.000 And again, the mainstream media is so behind the curve.
00:01:15.000 On some of the stuff, they're ahead of the curve.
00:01:16.000 Let's just be very clear.
00:01:17.000 The 14th Amendment stuff, see, we monitor this so closely on this program.
00:01:21.000 We saw the 14th Amendment play as it was happening, and we jumped and we pounced on it.
00:01:26.000 Now it's kind of in the zeitgeist.
00:01:28.000 You have Adam Schiff and Jen Psaki talking about it, but we were right on the mark.
00:01:33.000 I remember, boom, as soon as it came out in the Atlantic New York Times, we connected the dots, we mobilized you, the audience, and it became national news.
00:01:39.000 Charlie Kirk Show audience pours calls into New Hampshire very, very quick.
00:01:44.000 And now Adam Schiff is saying that there's legitimacy to the 14th Amendment discussion.
00:01:49.000 But sometimes the media is behind the curve.
00:01:53.000 One of the things I've been talking about as I travel the country and I talk to grassroots groups, which I love, is how confused the oligarchs are, the insiders, about you.
00:02:07.000 They're very confused.
00:02:08.000 Because there was a formula that was developed.
00:02:11.000 And the formula is very simple.
00:02:14.000 Use the playbook that Yuri Besminov, KGB spy, articulated with indictments, smearing, slandering, deplatforming, raiding of people's homes, bottom-up, top-down, Michigan electors.
00:02:36.000 Get Trump a mugshot.
00:02:38.000 Go after every single one of the type of political leaders, the humorists, Douglas Mackey, the political strategist, Steve Bannon, the filmmakers, Tanesh D'Souza.
00:02:48.000 Take Tucker Carlson off the airwaves.
00:02:51.000 Get James O'Keefe out at Project Veritas.
00:02:55.000 The formula is: how can we get, you could call it MAGA, the conservative movement, fly over country.
00:03:06.000 I call it the decent half of the country.
00:03:09.000 How can we get you demoralized?
00:03:14.000 How can we get you to give up?
00:03:17.000 That has been the goal.
00:03:19.000 You are living through an active measure.
00:03:21.000 As we have said before, you are living through a cultural revolution.
00:03:24.000 And the way that they make the cultural revolution come to fruition, to come to completion, is by invoking your surrender.
00:03:36.000 You have every reason to give up.
00:03:38.000 In fact, some of the Sunshine Patriots send me emails all the time.
00:03:42.000 Charlie, this is too much for me.
00:03:44.000 I'm done.
00:03:45.000 The raids, the smearing, the slandering.
00:03:47.000 In fact, I could tell you about a conversation I had with a very wealthy man a couple years ago.
00:03:53.000 And he said, I'm leaving the country.
00:03:54.000 And he did.
00:03:56.000 Went to Malaysia.
00:03:58.000 He said, I'm done.
00:03:59.000 He said, this is too much for me.
00:04:00.000 He revoked his U.S. citizenship, very wealthy guy.
00:04:03.000 He said, Charlie, I don't want to live in this country anymore.
00:04:06.000 It's unrecognizable.
00:04:07.000 Sunshine Patriot.
00:04:09.000 I got rather upset.
00:04:10.000 It was a little bit of a contentious conversation.
00:04:14.000 Maybe he'll come back once we save the country.
00:04:16.000 There's plenty of people like that.
00:04:18.000 But all of a sudden, you're seeing a little bit of whispers in the media, and they're saying it's not working the way we thought it would.
00:04:30.000 They thought you would be giving up by now.
00:04:33.000 They were convinced by the second indictment or the third indictment or that sentencing or 1,200 people in front of January 6th here, and eventually the damn would break.
00:04:47.000 And Donna Brazil, who's not my favorite person, has one of the wisest 30 to 40 second tapes I've heard.
00:04:56.000 And I don't say that.
00:04:57.000 It's legitimately wise what she is saying.
00:05:01.000 And she's saying it, of course, to try to excite Democrat fervor, to wake people up.
00:05:04.000 She might be even engaging in a little bit of hyperbole, a little bit, but you could tell she believes this.
00:05:10.000 Now, I'm not a, let's say, enthusiast of the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche.
00:05:16.000 But he did have a phrase that is used and misused.
00:05:19.000 What does not kill you makes you stronger.
00:05:23.000 And she asks the question: what the heck is going on?
00:05:28.000 These people don't give up.
00:05:31.000 These people don't break.
00:05:33.000 They bend, but they don't break.
00:05:35.000 We indict them, we audit them, we smear them, we slander them, we call them racists, we call them anti-Semites, we kick them off social media, and they only get more enthusiastic.
00:05:48.000 This is Donna Brazil, who, again, I don't appreciate a lot of her commentary, but she committed the crime of noticing on ABC, and she's not the only one.
00:05:57.000 I'm going to play some other pieces of tape.
00:05:58.000 They're all saying the same thing.
00:06:00.000 And we've been ahead of the curve here on this, which I told you, you hold the line.
00:06:04.000 You don't give up.
00:06:05.000 You keep showing up.
00:06:06.000 You keep on praying.
00:06:08.000 You keep on fasting.
00:06:09.000 You keep on going to school board meetings.
00:06:11.000 You keep on drafting candidates.
00:06:13.000 Watch out, everybody.
00:06:15.000 Listen carefully.
00:06:16.000 It's a longer clip.
00:06:18.000 Play cut two.
00:06:19.000 I've seen two movements outside of the social justice movements in my life on the political side.
00:06:25.000 One was the Reagan movement.
00:06:27.000 Reagan had a hold on his base, the country at large.
00:06:31.000 They saw him as someone who was willing to stand up for American values, whatever that might have meant.
00:06:36.000 Now, I thought it was reactionary.
00:06:38.000 The other movement I saw was Barack Obama, Hope and Change.
00:06:42.000 That galvanized the American people.
00:06:44.000 I've never seen anything like this with Donald Trump.
00:06:47.000 I mean, what doesn't kill you make you stronger?
00:06:48.000 I mean, being convicted, I mean, being indicted, that's making him stronger.
00:06:53.000 Raising $10 million using an ugly mugshot to raise money.
00:06:57.000 This is a movement.
00:06:59.000 And anyone who thinks that you can apply the old political rules to trying to defeat this candidate based on he's scary, he's ugly, whatever you might want to call him, this is a movement.
00:07:09.000 And we have to respect the fact that it's a movement.
00:07:12.000 That's a powerful clip, Donna Brazil.
00:07:15.000 That is a power.
00:07:16.000 You get it, Donna Brazil, more than Karl Rove does right now.
00:07:20.000 Donna Brazil is speaking more truth than most uniparty consultants.
00:07:24.000 You see, Donna Brazil wants Democrats to hold on to power.
00:07:28.000 Donna Brazil has been around for multiple decades.
00:07:30.000 Remember, she leaked questions to Hillary Clinton.
00:07:32.000 She's a partisan.
00:07:33.000 Remember the Donna Brazil debate issue?
00:07:36.000 She's not fair and balanced.
00:07:38.000 Okay, I get it.
00:07:39.000 She believes what she believes.
00:07:41.000 She hates Trump, but she understands politics.
00:07:43.000 Remember, she's the former head of the DNC, hyper-partisan.
00:07:46.000 But here's this is a movement.
00:07:48.000 This is a movement.
00:07:49.000 This is not the old laws of politics.
00:07:52.000 You indict the figure, you go after the followers, it just breaks, and people go back to drinking whatever, Bud Light and watching TV, but something's different here.
00:08:01.000 Something is different.
00:08:04.000 There's a resolve.
00:08:06.000 There is this phrase that was coined by Nassim Taleb.
00:08:10.000 We've used it before, but it's worth kind of bringing back here.
00:08:13.000 It's this idea of anti-fragility.
00:08:16.000 So if you use perseverance, use the idea of endurance, use the idea that they're tough, that means you could go through tough times.
00:08:23.000 The idea of being anti-fragile, there's a whole book written on it, is that the institution, the company, the person, the organization actually gets stronger the more adversity you push upon it.
00:08:38.000 That the more you persecute, the more you punish, the more that you try to destroy, it actually strengthens it.
00:08:49.000 And now all of a sudden you see the mockingbird media, they're like waking up post-Labor Day.
00:08:56.000 And they're saying, whoa, Bring it back.
00:09:00.000 Bring it back.
00:09:01.000 Bring it back.
00:09:01.000 Donna Brazil saying this is a movement raising tens of millions of dollars, stronger than ever.
00:09:06.000 And they're saying the quiet part out loud that we will not break.
00:09:12.000 And they've never seen anything like it.
00:09:14.000 They are used to the Vichy French Republicans.
00:09:16.000 They're used to the turtle.
00:09:17.000 They're used to Lady Graham.
00:09:18.000 They're used to the moderates who just say, enough.
00:09:21.000 You called me a bad name.
00:09:22.000 What can I do to make it right?
00:09:24.000 No, no, no.
00:09:25.000 There's a new sheriff in town running the conservative movement.
00:09:28.000 Play cut four.
00:09:30.000 We do have new polling from the Wall Street Journal that has President Joe Biden and Donald Trump in a dead heat in a 2024 general election matchup.
00:09:40.000 In the survey, 46% say they would vote for Biden, while 46% say they would vote for Trump.
00:09:47.000 8% say they are undecided.
00:09:50.000 So in this conversation, mixing this in really shows you where the country's at, Joe.
00:09:57.000 And it's stupid.
00:10:00.000 The rest of the tape is just, if you look at their faces, they're stunned.
00:10:04.000 What?
00:10:06.000 I thought you deplorable, smelly people would give up.
00:10:12.000 I was told by all my professor friends, you guys would be suing for peace.
00:10:21.000 There's no suing for peace.
00:10:24.000 There's only victory.
00:10:25.000 And we know it's going to be tough.
00:10:27.000 We know it's going to take work.
00:10:30.000 We signed up for that a long time ago.
00:10:32.000 You guys declared war on us.
00:10:34.000 And now all of a sudden you're wondering why it's not going as well.
00:10:37.000 Their war on the conservative movement is failing the same way that their financing of the Ukrainian counteroffensive against Russia is failing.
00:10:47.000 They're confused.
00:10:47.000 Like, what's going on?
00:10:48.000 Why are these people not giving up?
00:10:51.000 We know appeasement is not an option.
00:10:53.000 We're going to beat you.
00:10:54.000 We're going to defeat you.
00:10:55.000 It's going to take time.
00:10:57.000 It's going to take a new generation.
00:11:00.000 But we want it more than you do.
00:11:01.000 Right now, you want it more than us because you control the institutions.
00:11:05.000 But we've just started to fight.
00:11:08.000 Like today, in the last couple of months, we just started to fight.
00:11:11.000 Game on.
00:11:13.000 And the weak need, fragile types on MSNBC and the mockingbird media, I don't know if they have the stomach for what's coming next.
00:11:20.000 You have had every reason to surrender, to give up, and you haven't.
00:11:26.000 You deserve a lot of credit, and it's making them nervous.
00:11:33.000 It's time to take a stand for life, everybody.
00:11:34.000 We can say we're pro-life, but what does that actually mean?
00:11:37.000 In a post-Roe versus Wade world, there are states that are more radically pro-death than ever before, aborting babies up until the moment they draw their first breath.
00:11:46.000 We have a word for that.
00:11:47.000 It's called murder.
00:11:48.000 The Biden regime is more radically pro-abortion than any other in American history.
00:11:52.000 They celebrate abortions the way we celebrate life.
00:11:55.000 It's time to do something that we know will make a difference.
00:11:58.000 That is providing ultrasounds with pre-born.
00:12:00.000 When a pregnant girl sees her baby on an ultrasound machine and hears that baby's heartbeat, she's twice as likely to choose life.
00:12:07.000 Just $28 provides that ultrasound and saves one baby.
00:12:10.000 $140 saves five.
00:12:12.000 A gift of $15,000 provides an ultrasound machine that can save literally thousands of babies for years to come.
00:12:17.000 I donate to this cause, and you should too.
00:12:20.000 Call 833-850-2229 or click on the pre-born banner at charliekirk.com.
00:12:25.000 Become a donor, charliekirk.com, and click on the pre-born banner.
00:12:31.000 Now, all of a sudden, MSNBC is saying exactly what we've been saying.
00:12:34.000 Now, the Charlie Kirk show has been saying it.
00:12:35.000 War Room's been saying it.
00:12:37.000 The RNC is not saying any of this.
00:12:39.000 Why the RNC has an office in D.C. doesn't make any sense.
00:12:41.000 They should sell that building and redeploy the assets to the most important election of our lifetime.
00:12:45.000 Guess what?
00:12:45.000 Eugene Robinson is literally, if you would just take the script of this, Eugen G. Robinson is saying exactly what the Charlie Kirk Show and Turning Point Action have been saying.
00:12:55.000 I've been telling this to donors, and they're like, oh, what about Nikki Healy?
00:12:58.000 Guys, focus, We're not good at that in the conservative movement.
00:13:04.000 Oh, wow, look.
00:13:05.000 Mike Pence is running.
00:13:06.000 Again, it's like, guys, focus.
00:13:09.000 Seven counties, three states, seven counties, three states.
00:13:13.000 Well, what about no, seven counties, three states?
00:13:17.000 But Eugene Robinson on MSNBC is literally singing off of the song sheet of Turning Point Action.
00:13:24.000 For those of you that are devout fans and really watch the Charlie Kirk show, thank you, listen on radio, you know that we have been singing this tune since January of this year.
00:13:34.000 We've done the math, we figured it out.
00:13:35.000 I went on Tim Poole's show and walked through it.
00:13:37.000 And now, ta-da!
00:13:39.000 The mockingbird media is saying the quiet part out loud, play cut 16.
00:13:44.000 What this poll I think does, it should lay out to Democrats that this is going to be a close election.
00:13:51.000 They can't take anything for granted.
00:13:54.000 They should assume it's going to be decided by perhaps tens of thousands of voters in the swing states that we all know about.
00:14:04.000 And they better get cracking now because there's a real risk.
00:14:11.000 Yeah, there's a real risk.
00:14:12.000 This is why we have been so like almost pathologically focused on the mechanics of elections.
00:14:21.000 Can we chase ballots?
00:14:22.000 Can we register voters?
00:14:24.000 Have we secured our elections?
00:14:25.000 Fulton County, Cobb County, Maricopa, Pina, Pima, Pinal, Gwinnett, Kenosha, Dane, Milwaukee.
00:14:31.000 If you cannot name them off over and over again, you're not serious.
00:14:36.000 In the Republican apparatus, they're like, oh, well, we're doing this thing for gay Hispanics in Seattle.
00:14:42.000 Like, enough.
00:14:43.000 Okay.
00:14:44.000 How about you focus on the seven counties?
00:14:47.000 You have zero full-time people right now in Arizona.
00:14:49.000 Turning point action.
00:14:50.000 We have 15.
00:14:51.000 We're hiring even more.
00:14:52.000 We're doing what we can.
00:14:53.000 We're raising the capital for it.
00:14:54.000 And here is MSNBC saying, oh, my goodness, it's going to come down to tens of thousands of votes.
00:15:00.000 Yeah.
00:15:01.000 We've been telling you this the whole time.
00:15:03.000 By the way, Barried Lead, I hate to hate to do it.
00:15:06.000 Because when you're right, you should actually remind people.
00:15:09.000 Cornell West getting 2% in the Wall Street Journal poll.
00:15:12.000 Told you guys, Cornell West, glitching the Matrix, changes the ball game.
00:15:17.000 We've been looking at Cornell West.
00:15:17.000 We've been saying that.
00:15:19.000 I say, do not underestimate this guy.
00:15:20.000 2% in the poll.
00:15:22.000 No labels might be drafting a candidate soon.
00:15:24.000 This ball game is winnable, but we got to get to work.
00:15:27.000 What does work look like?
00:15:28.000 Focus on the seven counties, support the grassroots warriors that are doing it, and you have to believe.
00:15:34.000 I know I'm going to tell you something that is really scary for some of you.
00:15:38.000 You have to have what I call cautious hope.
00:15:43.000 I took some time off this weekend and I saw our beautiful national parks in Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons.
00:15:48.000 And there was a very, there was like this almost transcendent moment I had as I was overlooking one of the beautiful lakes and I saw the mountain and I had to stop myself.
00:16:01.000 Turned my phone off for a couple days.
00:16:02.000 It was amazing.
00:16:03.000 And I stopped myself.
00:16:04.000 I said, oh boy, here we go again.
00:16:07.000 I have real hope we can win.
00:16:10.000 And I say, well, Charlie, that's great.
00:16:12.000 That's dangerous, though.
00:16:14.000 When you have put to bed cynicism of the intel agencies, the big companies, and all that, and you actually believe you can win, you then open the door for disappointment.
00:16:24.000 But then you act.
00:16:25.000 If you have hope, you act with more courage, with more conviction.
00:16:29.000 I really do believe we can win this thing.
00:16:32.000 A hundred percent.
00:16:33.000 It will be hard.
00:16:34.000 We are the underdog.
00:16:35.000 He's facing 900 years in prison or like a half of a millennia in prison.
00:16:40.000 Doesn't matter.
00:16:41.000 We've been bruised so many times, kicked in.
00:16:44.000 At that moment, I said, Oh my goodness, we can do this.
00:16:48.000 We can do this.
00:16:50.000 The indictments were not what they thought it would be.
00:16:52.000 Independents are starting to come our way.
00:16:54.000 There's an unpopular president, third-party candidates.
00:16:57.000 They've already emptied their clip of everything they can shoot at us.
00:17:00.000 They're going to come up with more.
00:17:01.000 Like, hold on a second.
00:17:04.000 We can do this, but we've got to get to work.
00:17:06.000 Anyone who tells you differently, they're cynical, they're pessimist, get out of the way.
00:17:11.000 There's an opening.
00:17:12.000 There's a chance for such a time as this.
00:17:14.000 You live in a time where you could do the impossible, where everything is against you.
00:17:18.000 This would make 2016 look like child's play, and it can be done.
00:17:22.000 Dare to hope and get to work.
00:17:27.000 Do you get the feeling that something bad is going to happen soon?
00:17:30.000 Well, I do.
00:17:31.000 But between the distractions and smokescreens in the media, we probably won't see it coming.
00:17:35.000 That's why it's smart to invest in emergency food right away.
00:17:38.000 As they say, it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

00:18:25.000 Preparewithkirk.com.
00:18:29.000 We'll have Rich Barris in a second, but I want to play a couple of these pieces of tape.
00:18:33.000 This is a deeper point.
00:18:34.000 It has nothing to do with why we have Rich Barris on the program, but I'm just going to kind of put this to the side.
00:18:38.000 I want you to think about it.
00:18:39.000 We'll do a segment on this.
00:18:40.000 We are a less fun country than we were that I grew up in.
00:18:43.000 We don't laugh as much.
00:18:45.000 We take things way too seriously.
00:18:47.000 We are way more likely to be offended and angry.
00:18:52.000 Could you imagine these three clips on network television as America is today?
00:18:58.000 Play cut 24.
00:19:00.000 All right.
00:19:01.000 Okay.
00:19:03.000 Kelly, how are you?
00:19:05.000 I was at the longest meeting.
00:19:07.000 Oh, welcome to my convenience store.
00:19:09.000 Would you like some googie coogie?
00:19:11.000 I have some very delicious googie coogie.
00:19:13.000 Only 99 cents plus tax.
00:19:16.000 Try my googie googie.
00:19:17.000 Try my googie coogie.
00:19:19.000 Try my googie coogie.
00:19:20.000 Try my that could land you in federal prison now.
00:19:26.000 No, I'm kidding.
00:19:26.000 Well, maybe.
00:19:28.000 Now, by the way, just the premise of this episode is that Michael Scott gets in trouble for saying something racist.
00:19:36.000 He says he kind of puts on his own diversity day and they bring in like the corporate DEI expert.
00:19:41.000 This was ridiculing DEI before it was a thing.
00:19:44.000 Play cut 25.
00:19:45.000 Oh, this is a good one.
00:19:48.000 Hi, how are you?
00:19:49.000 Fine.
00:19:50.000 How are you?
00:19:51.000 Great.
00:19:54.000 I admire your culture success in America.
00:19:57.000 Thank you.
00:20:05.000 It's a perklight.
00:20:06.000 No, no, no.
00:20:06.000 Well, that was inadvertent.
00:20:08.000 We didn't actually plan that.
00:20:10.000 If that makes you cringe, you're living in a propagandized society that is funny and was funny.
00:20:18.000 People are saying, oh MG, Charlie, can't believe you're playing this.
00:20:20.000 This is Network Television in 2005.
00:20:21.000 Network Television.
00:20:22.000 Not HBO, not Showtime, not some fringe YouTuber.
00:20:25.000 This was NBC.
00:20:27.000 Finally, play cut 26.
00:20:29.000 Shalom.
00:20:31.000 I'd like to apply for a loan.
00:20:33.000 That's nice, Twitter.
00:20:34.000 What could do me?
00:20:35.000 Something stereotypical so I can get it really quick.
00:20:38.000 Okay, I like your food.
00:20:40.000 Outback steakhouse.
00:20:41.000 I'm Australian, mate.
00:20:42.000 I like your food.
00:20:44.000 No, come on.
00:20:45.000 Stir the pot.
00:20:45.000 Stir the melting pot.
00:20:47.000 Bam.
00:20:47.000 Let's do it.
00:20:48.000 If I have to do this, based on stereotypes that are totally untrue, that I do not agree with, you would maybe not be a very good driver.
00:20:58.000 Oh, man, am I a woman?
00:21:01.000 If that makes you cringe, you're living in an unfree country.
00:21:06.000 We used to be able to make fun of ourselves, fun of the stereotypes around us, and we got along better.
00:21:13.000 I miss that country.
00:21:15.000 Joining us now is Rich Barris, who's here for a completely unrelated topic, but I just needed to land the plane.
00:21:21.000 Rich, how you doing?
00:21:22.000 You have some, I hope you got a chuckle out of that because that was a better country, and we got to bring it back.
00:21:26.000 Rich Barris, how you doing?
00:21:28.000 Thanks for having me, Charlie.
00:21:29.000 I did get a chuckle out of it.
00:21:30.000 All the best as always, my friend.
00:21:32.000 I was thinking about Golden Girls, too, Charlie.
00:21:35.000 You know, when I was a kid, there's things still Getty said that you would just never be able to say.
00:21:40.000 Betty White and the jokes.
00:21:41.000 But it was hilarious.
00:21:42.000 And when we disagreed, that was all right.
00:21:45.000 That was okay.
00:21:47.000 You know, and we mocked all of each other equally, basically.
00:21:50.000 It was great.
00:21:51.000 So, so, Rich Barris, let's get into some of the polling that you have.
00:21:55.000 There's been a lot of chat over the weekend.
00:21:57.000 Trump v. Biden nearly tied.
00:21:59.000 We've been saying for a while this is going to come down to basically seven or eight counties in three states.
00:22:04.000 Eugene Robinson agrees.
00:22:05.000 Riff on that, and then I want to play the Eugene Robinson tape.
00:22:08.000 Rich Barris.
00:22:09.000 Yeah, I mean, I've seen some other polls that do have him up a little bit.
00:22:12.000 I sent it over to you guys.
00:22:13.000 You know, our poll is close.
00:22:15.000 I mean, Trump has an edge, but it's close, Charlie.
00:22:18.000 So I do think, though, that he is a stronger position to win this year than the prior year.
00:22:25.000 But nevertheless, you know, I'm not looking.
00:22:27.000 Nobody should be looking at an eight-point landslide.
00:22:30.000 You know, this will be down to those key states that we've talked about over and over.
00:22:34.000 Yeah, and so Eugene Robinson is saying this.
00:22:36.000 Let's play this tape here.
00:22:38.000 And he all of a sudden woke up.
00:22:39.000 The media woke up this weekend, Rich Barris.
00:22:42.000 And Donna Brazil, it is very important, everybody.
00:22:45.000 And all of a sudden, the signals are out, right?
00:22:47.000 Signals are out, texting, group chats.
00:22:49.000 And they're like, whoa, whoa, timeout.
00:22:51.000 This is not how we really thought it would be.
00:22:52.000 We thought it would be a 10-point race.
00:22:54.000 Biden up comfortably.
00:22:56.000 Trump in the gutter.
00:22:57.000 None of that is happening.
00:22:58.000 Eugene Robinson is like, guys, post-Labor Day entering the primary season, not looking good.
00:23:05.000 Play cut 16.
00:23:06.000 What this poll, I think, does, it should lay out to Democrats that this is going to be a close election.
00:23:14.000 They can't take anything for granted.
00:23:17.000 They should assume it's going to be decided by perhaps tens of thousands of voters in the swing states that we all know about.
00:23:27.000 And they better get cracking now because there's a real risk.
00:23:33.000 Real risk, Rich Barris.
00:23:35.000 And I'll play another tape here that I think is instructive.
00:23:37.000 But Eugene Robinson, Mockingbird, Morning Joe, they've transitioned from Donald Trump being into political irrelevancy.
00:23:44.000 That was the talking point in May, right?
00:23:45.000 It was that he's done.
00:23:47.000 He's within a couple of points at DeSantis to now the big shift, massive hysterical, like, we actually have to have an election.
00:23:54.000 We have to have an election?
00:23:56.000 I thought we were going to select our leaders.
00:23:58.000 This wasn't going to happen.
00:24:00.000 Right.
00:24:01.000 Right.
00:24:02.000 So, Rich, how should we think about this?
00:24:04.000 And then tell us, some polls have Trump up five, six, seven points.
00:24:08.000 Is that realistic?
00:24:09.000 You know, I think that's, you know, something we had seen a year or so ago at the height of when Republicans were polling really strong on the generic ballot.
00:24:17.000 But it was always going to tighten, Charlie.
00:24:20.000 This is a divided country, regardless of how one party may do better one year and the next party.
00:24:26.000 Donald Trump lost the election by a slimmer number of votes than he won in 2016.
00:24:32.000 They threw everything at him, and it was still that close.
00:24:36.000 But this time, there are key groups, key demographic groups, Charlie, that this is different than 2020.
00:24:43.000 And this is even different than 2016.
00:24:46.000 And I got to tell you, if he hasn't plummeted yet, despite all the loaded questions that you see in the CNN poll that just came out, if he's convicted, if he did this wrong, if he did that wrong, elections are A-B tests.
00:25:00.000 And even if Trump was to be convicted on some of these things, some people are not going to care.
00:25:06.000 It's going to be the guy who's gotten convicted by his political opponent versus the guy who did the prosecuting because he's alleged to have been taking bribes from hostile foreign nations.
00:25:17.000 I mean, so people are really blowing this out of proportion.
00:25:19.000 Donna Brazil was hands down.
00:25:22.000 My favorite clip from the weekend because she's like, you better wake up, guys.
00:25:25.000 This is a movement.
00:25:26.000 This doesn't stop.
00:25:28.000 You got to respect him and you can't stop him with the traditional stuff.
00:25:33.000 You can't think like that.
00:25:34.000 That was Donna Brazil's way of saying, wake up.
00:25:36.000 He's going to win.
00:25:38.000 If he's going to win, like right now, he would win.
00:25:40.000 Wake up.
00:25:42.000 And by the way, Harry Anton on CNN has been trying to tell people this for months.
00:25:46.000 And he's one of the few people in the election mafia who does what I do that had been honest with people.
00:25:53.000 The fact of the matter is Trump never had this strength in 2020 against Joe Biden.
00:25:58.000 He did not have this strength even against Hillary Clinton.
00:26:01.000 Polls shifted a little bit last minute in the Battleground States.
00:26:04.000 They were not like this.
00:26:06.000 We just pulled Florida.
00:26:07.000 That's one state that blew wide open.
00:26:10.000 Trump is ahead of Joe Biden in Florida with and without West on the ballot by seven and eight points, Charlie.
00:26:17.000 I have never in my career polled a lead that big in the state of Florida for a presidential election.
00:26:22.000 Never.
00:26:23.000 Never.
00:26:24.000 It's always two points, maybe three points.
00:26:27.000 You know, you don't win Florida by eight points.
00:26:30.000 And Trump would crush Joe Biden in Florida right now at the presidential level.
00:26:34.000 Very different than gubernatorial election.
00:26:37.000 I believe that.
00:26:38.000 So I want to play this piece of tape here.
00:26:39.000 You're talking about Donna Brazil, one of the smartest pieces of commentary.
00:26:43.000 Again, I'm not a fan of her.
00:26:44.000 She's a total partisan, but she had this like rare glimmer of wisdom, play cut too.
00:26:48.000 I've seen two movements outside of the social justice movements in my life on the political side.
00:26:53.000 One was the Reagan movement.
00:26:55.000 Reagan had a hold on his base, the country at large.
00:27:00.000 They saw him as someone who was willing to stand up for American values, whatever that might have meant.
00:27:05.000 Now, I thought it was reactionary.
00:27:07.000 The other movement I saw was Barack Obama, Hope and Change.
00:27:11.000 That galvanized the American people.
00:27:13.000 I've never seen anything like this with Donald Trump.
00:27:15.000 I mean, what doesn't kill you make you stronger?
00:27:17.000 I mean, being convicted, I mean, being indicted, that's making him stronger.
00:27:22.000 Raising $10 million using an ugly mugshot to raise money.
00:27:26.000 This is a movement.
00:27:27.000 And anyone who thinks that you can apply the old political rules to trying to defeat this candidate based on he's scary, he's ugly, whatever you might want to call him, this is a movement.
00:27:38.000 And we have to respect the fact that it's a movement.
00:27:40.000 Rich Barris, your reaction.
00:27:42.000 Well, all movements are reactionary, Donna.
00:27:44.000 And I got to tell you, you know, she is a total partisan.
00:27:46.000 But years ago, I did meet her and she was super nice to me.
00:27:49.000 I got to be honest.
00:27:50.000 But she is a partisan.
00:27:52.000 I was obviously willing to give debate questions from the network she works at to her candidate.
00:27:56.000 Let's not forget that.
00:27:58.000 That was a gross violation of trust and of ethics, yes.
00:28:04.000 But she sees it.
00:28:06.000 And again, I have to say, maybe, you know, fool me.
00:28:10.000 There's a lot of this going around now, Charlie.
00:28:12.000 Like, you know, fool me once, shame on you.
00:28:15.000 Fool me twice, shame on me.
00:28:17.000 And the things that we're hearing from people that are, you know, leading to these polls being this tight is definitely different.
00:28:24.000 It's not a normal election.
00:28:26.000 And I will say this, there was a lot of social desirability bias in 16 and in 20, especially with the polls.
00:28:33.000 I thought 20 was worse.
00:28:35.000 We have to at least entertain the idea or the possibility that watching people get put in jail for supporting Donald Trump is going to result in a social bias in the poll.
00:28:46.000 So when I'm telling you, he's up, you know, 45, 42, maybe three points with Colonel Cornell West in the ballot.
00:28:56.000 It's at least likely that some of those people who are choosing someone else are undecided, are full of crap.
00:29:01.000 And they're going to vote for Donald Trump, but they're just afraid to talk to the pollster.
00:29:04.000 And I know it's there because we're getting refusals.
00:29:07.000 And those people are outwardly telling us, I'm not participating in this poll.
00:29:11.000 I'm not telling you whom I, you know, this is not the time to be telling people about your political beliefs.
00:29:18.000 So they're clammed up.
00:29:20.000 So it's at least possible that he's doing better than the poll suggests.
00:29:25.000 Hey, everybody, Charlie Kirk here.
00:29:26.000 There's a battle for our nation going on right now.
00:29:28.000 The question is who will lead it?

00:30:28.000 Some of the smarter guys on the left, Rich, we don't like them, but they have a tendency to see things as they are, not how they want them to be.
00:30:36.000 One of them is David Axelrod.
00:30:38.000 I actually think he's pretty smart.
00:30:39.000 He's a partisan, but he's pretty smart.
00:30:41.000 Play Cut 18.
00:30:42.000 I would give him every courtesy that I could.
00:30:47.000 I would not, certainly not handcuff him.
00:30:50.000 David's right.
00:30:51.000 I think he would love that picture.
00:30:53.000 I would make very sure that that booking photo is not released.
00:30:58.000 He would turn it into t-shirts and he'd turn himself into Che Guevara there as an iconic image.
00:31:07.000 I would just make sure that this goes down smoothly and that he is not made a spectacle of on Tuesday because that will all play in.
00:31:18.000 That would all play into his public relations strategy there.
00:31:22.000 Rich Barris, have we seen any evidence mugshot helps Trump, hurts Trump polling?
00:31:29.000 What is the data show outside of vibes or gut feelings?
00:31:32.000 Yeah, outside of it, we did a national poll post-mug shot.
00:31:35.000 We did a Florida poll post-mug shot.
00:31:37.000 And the poll we did in Florida the month before was he was up by about 20 points, and it was a little over 50 to 30 in change for DeSantis.
00:31:48.000 He's crushing DeSantis in Florida now post-mug shot, crushing it.
00:31:51.000 So he's ahead, Charlie, almost at 60.
00:31:55.000 And DeSantis fell to 20% in his own state.
00:31:59.000 So it's definitely a rallying cry.
00:32:02.000 And then nationally, we had Trump at 56 with Vivek and DeSantis roughly tied, one with 11, one with 12.
00:32:10.000 So he's just not, they're not, it's, it's really, I know it's hard for them to grasp, but you could always tell when David Axelot is being serious and when he's being a partisan.
00:32:21.000 And that was stone-cold, serious David, right there.
00:32:24.000 Like, listen, don't do this.
00:32:25.000 Because David knows something that apparently a lot of anti-Trump partisans on the left and right don't know or don't want to admit, which is that, you know, political martyrs, Charlie, Jake Guevara, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther, Martin Loser King, they do win elections.
00:32:47.000 I mean, there's one right now in Mexico, right to the south of us, who, by the way, himself is calling this a political persecution.
00:32:54.000 Well, look at Lula in Brazil, he was in prison, right?
00:32:58.000 I mean, this is not anything new.
00:33:00.000 I mean, the idea that you go, not always, but if there's any flex in the joint, I mean, if like if he was indicted for murder or something, that's separate.
00:33:10.000 But if there's any flex in the joints of like gray area, history shows us that you can flip an indictment to a positive.
00:33:18.000 It invigorates your base.
00:33:20.000 You win sympathy through independence.
00:33:21.000 The opposition looks desperate.
00:33:23.000 Rich Barris.
00:33:24.000 Yeah, and I'm from New York and New Jersey, and I've actually seen this before, local politicians.
00:33:30.000 It's just that you have to make sure the media doesn't peg you the way the media tried to peg Trump, where like an indictment is actually guilt.
00:33:38.000 It's not an argument from a prosecutor.
00:33:40.000 And it had to look above board.
00:33:42.000 And, you know, it's murder or something.
00:33:44.000 We're not talking about these charges.
00:33:45.000 Everything that he has been charged with looks like political in nature, and it's not really stone cold.
00:33:51.000 They're all novel legal theories.
00:33:54.000 And that just smells like BS to people, Charlie.
00:33:56.000 And I'll say one more thing: people who think that this is not going to make him more relatable with non-whites don't know non-whites, like the real non-white population in this country.
00:34:07.000 We interviewed somebody the other day, and I mean, basically, Charlie, I just never would believe I would hear a young African-American man talk about a billionaire white guy like this.
00:34:20.000 But he's basically like, now Trump knows how we feel.
00:34:24.000 He's, you know, he's got the best chance to take it to the man.
00:34:28.000 He's got the best chance to take it to the system.
00:34:30.000 And I can't stand the system.
00:34:31.000 So the biggest F you I could give him is vote for Donald Trump.
00:34:35.000 This is real.
00:34:36.000 And people, you know, want to deny it?
00:34:38.000 Knock yourself out.
00:34:39.000 They denied when I said he was going to win 12% of the black vote in 2020.
00:34:43.000 Ballpark, he did.
00:34:45.000 They denied when I said he was going to surge in Miami-Dade.
00:34:47.000 He did.
00:34:48.000 I'm telling you, it's real.
00:34:50.000 And these folks don't see it like that.
00:34:54.000 And this is something the Democratic Party just can't have happen.
00:34:57.000 They can't have that happen.
00:34:58.000 And so, usually in political campaigns, when you're doing okay or well, you're worried about a basement or what scandal.
00:35:05.000 The guy's facing 600 years in federal prison.
00:35:07.000 It's really, he's kind of like, this is what's scary for the Democrats.
00:35:11.000 It's kind of like they've saturated the population with, you know, he really can't go much lower.
00:35:18.000 And his low is actually doing very well.
00:35:21.000 Again, this is going to come down to seven counties: Maricopa, Pinal, Pima, Gwinnett, Fulton, Cobb, Dane, Kenosha, Madison.
00:35:29.000 Get that tattooed on your arm.
00:35:31.000 It comes down to those seven or eight counties.
00:35:33.000 Rich Barris, great job.
00:35:34.000 Check out People's Pundits Daily.
00:35:36.000 He does a great job.
00:35:37.000 And thanks so much.
00:35:38.000 All the best, Charlie.
