00:00:00.000 Hey everybody, it's on the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:00:01.000 Donald Trump Jr. joins us.
00:00:03.000 And Dan Bishop to talk free speech and my unedited thoughts on Mike Pence.
00:00:07.000 You can email me as alwaysfreedom at charliekirk.com and go get involved with turning pointusa at tpusa.com.
00:00:14.000 That is tpusa.com, start a high school or college chapter today at tpusa.com.
00:00:20.000 Email me as alwaysfreedom at charliekirk.com.
00:00:22.000 Buckle up everybody here.
00:00:23.000 We go.
00:00:24.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
00:00:26.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus.
00:00:28.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
00:00:31.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
00:00:35.000 I want to thank Charlie.
00:00:36.000 He's an incredible guy.
00:00:37.000 His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA.
00:00:45.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:00:54.000 That's why we are here.
00:00:57.000 Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandTodd.com.
00:01:07.000 Joining us now is Congressman Dan Bishop.
00:01:09.000 Congressman, welcome to the program.
00:01:11.000 We booked you to discuss your free speech bill, which I want to get to.
00:01:14.000 But first, I just want to get your reaction.
00:01:16.000 Trump indictment, Department of Justice Jack Smith.
00:01:20.000 How is the House Republican Conference going to respond to this continual Stalinistic approach from our government?
00:01:26.000 So, Charlie, that is the news worth talking about.
00:01:29.000 And you know me well enough to know how I'd like to respond to it.
00:01:35.000 And this is something the American people need to understand and the leadership of the Republican Party need to continually be questioned about.
00:01:44.000 We could, in the spending bills being prepared right now for the September 30 fiscal year deadline, we could say we're not passing anything unless and until you defund Jack Smith's special counsel office that is prosecuting this gross attack on the First Amendment of the Constitution.
00:02:05.000 Leave aside whatever you think about Donald Trump one way or the other, this is the consummation, the brazen consummation of what we've seen and what's been called by that district judge, United States district judge in Louisiana, as the worst attack on free speech in the history of the United States, talking about the censorship with social media across the federal enterprise.
00:02:30.000 Well, that's nothing compared to this.
00:02:33.000 It is 45 pages of statements where Donald Trump said something about the election.
00:02:39.000 Somebody who was an official position said something else.
00:02:43.000 Therefore, Donald Trump was obliged to shut up and sit down and say nothing else about the election.
00:02:49.000 And they've turned that into a crime, three crimes.
00:02:53.000 I've never seen anything like it.
00:02:55.000 And Republicans, I just want to make this clear.
00:02:57.000 Republicans in the House could stop this right away.
00:03:03.000 I've seen House Republican colleagues who say, gosh, we can't even take any of the money back from the FBI for their headquarters that will be larger than the Pentagon.
00:03:13.000 I can't imagine what those people will say about what I've just suggested, but we could stop it.
00:03:18.000 So, I mean, let's just get straight to it.
00:03:20.000 So, we could defund, we could stop it.
00:03:23.000 Why won't we?
00:03:25.000 Because folks will say, well, we've got to fund the government.
00:03:29.000 We've got to give the increase to the military that's necessary to keep the military strong and the soldiers' pay needs to get done.
00:03:36.000 We can't have the Washington Monument closed.
00:03:41.000 I mean, I don't want to make light of it because there are very significant problems.
00:03:44.000 And we have only one chamber of the United States Congress.
00:03:48.000 We don't have the White House.
00:03:49.000 So you'd have to force your way through this.
00:03:51.000 But it would take serious determination.
00:03:54.000 I just believe that when the interference that the FBI and the DOJ have now run in every election in recent memory comes to the point that they're trying to criminalize obviously protected free speech of the most recently elected president of the United States and, oh, by the way, the leading candidate for the one major party for the next election, it is time to say enough is enough.
00:04:20.000 And to me, it rises to the top of a very long list of priorities.
00:04:25.000 Yeah, it's puzzling and really frustrating.
00:04:27.000 So, Congressman, tell us about your free speech bill as well.
00:04:30.000 It ties into the indictment, which itself is a criminalization of wrongthink.
00:04:36.000 It is.
00:04:37.000 This is, I mean, it's exactly what the topic was in terms of the bill I've got.
00:04:42.000 And what it does is there's long been a bill or a statute, a civil rights statute enacted right after the Civil War that allows people to bring private claims for relief, lawsuits, against state officials who violate their constitutional rights.
00:04:58.000 It's not been done for federal officials who violate your rights.
00:05:02.000 A couple of those have been allowed in a couple of cases, the Fourth Amendment, the Eighth Amendment, under law made by the Supreme Court over time, but not the First Amendment.
00:05:12.000 And what this bill would do would put federal officials who deny First Amendment rights, who abuse First Amendment rights of private citizens, in exactly the same position.
00:05:22.000 You could sue federal officials for that wrong.
00:05:25.000 And that's exactly what needs to happen.
00:05:28.000 Harriet Hageman of Wyoming and I have co-sponsored this bill's original sponsors.
00:05:33.000 It ought to pass.
00:05:34.000 Now, it ought to get through.
00:05:35.000 I wouldn't put it in the same priority as what I just said about defunding the DOJ's witch hunt of President Trump, but it ought to be a priority.
00:05:44.000 It could fix a lot.
00:05:45.000 Yeah, I mean, look, I totally agree.
00:05:46.000 By the way, we would materially benefit from this because we were targeted by our own government, and they outsource it, right, Congressman?
00:05:54.000 And they think they're being cute or tricky.
00:05:56.000 And by the way, we're entertaining a very serious lawsuit.
00:05:59.000 We're in our final stages of all, I mean, it's like tons of legal fees and all this against the Department of Homeland Security because our Twitter account was, I can't remember, is the Election Partnership Institute.
00:06:10.000 They use these outsourced 501.
00:06:13.000 Election Integrity Partnership.
00:06:14.000 There you go.
00:06:15.000 Tell us more about that, Congressman.
00:06:17.000 Well, you're absolutely right.
00:06:18.000 Michael Schellenberger famously dubbed it the censorship industrial complex.
00:06:23.000 I prefer to call it the censorship laundering enterprise.
00:06:26.000 But all of these federal agencies, as Secretary Mayorkis used the terminology, across the federal enterprise, the Cybersecurity Infrastructure and Security Agency called CISA, the FBI's Foreign Influence Task Force, the State Department's, I can't even remember what the GEC stands for, all these three-letter agencies all embedded themselves with social media companies directly, but more significant, allied themselves,
00:06:54.000 made grants to these pseudo-academic institutions like the Stanford Internet Project, and they formed these ad hoc things.
00:07:04.000 There was the Election Integrity Partnership, then there was the Virality Project dealing with COVID.
00:07:09.000 And they just picked whole narratives to be squashed on social media.
00:07:14.000 And they essentially threatened social media, essentially.
00:07:17.000 They didn't essentially.
00:07:18.000 They did it directly, that they'd take away their Section 230 protections and so forth.
00:07:23.000 They would hurt them if they didn't do what they were told.
00:07:27.000 And that's what the judge in Louisiana said.
00:07:29.000 His injunction's been temporarily administratively stayed by an appellate court.
00:07:35.000 But he's found in an almost 200-page opinion all the facts in terms of how They deprived you and many other speakers, but also as importantly, every American who has a First Amendment right of access to information of all kinds of stuff, not stuff that just originated abroad, to which that constitutional right still applies, by the way, but stuff from domestic sources, including somebody important as you.
00:08:06.000 So hopefully this bill has some form of momentum.
00:08:09.000 The Democrat Party seems completely uninterested in partnering with this.
00:08:13.000 In fact, their whole theme right now is trying to go after what they call disinformation of misinformation.
00:08:20.000 And, you know, the work that we do on campuses at Turning Point USA, we've been warning for the last half decade, hey, there's a real troubling theme amongst college kids that they can use political power against speech they don't like.
00:08:32.000 Congressman, your reaction to this broader cultural issue now starts on college campuses, and now it's in the indictment.
00:08:38.000 The very same thing in the indictment is, I don't like your opinions, Donald Trump.
00:08:43.000 Now you have a conspiracy to defraud rights.
00:08:45.000 Is that an overreach or an overestimation of what's going on here, Congressman?
00:08:50.000 No, it is exactly right.
00:08:51.000 They are all thematically connected, and it is a fundamental transformation of the Democratic Party from their prior notions.
00:09:01.000 So, you know, one of the oddest thing has been sitting in the, I'm on the select subcommittee on the weaponization of the federal government, of which this is one of the biggest topics.
00:09:10.000 Jim Jordan, chairman.
00:09:12.000 And we've had Robert F. Kennedy Jr., right, sitting before us, testifying and attacked, vilified by Democrats.
00:09:20.000 Sure.
00:09:21.000 And before that, other liberal reporters, Matt Taibbi, Michael Schellenberger, former liberals, I guess.
00:09:27.000 But they were attacked and in the grossest terms.
00:09:32.000 The left has decided that it is authoritarian now.
00:09:37.000 It believes that there is an orthodox way of thinking.
00:09:40.000 And wrong think will be punished.
00:09:43.000 That's what they're saying.
00:09:44.000 I believe this is a problem across the political spectrum, though.
00:09:49.000 And ultimately, I don't know how we get there, but ultimately, because there's a BLM activist, for example, who the Justice Department extended their reach to in one of these plots to sort of entrap people.
00:10:04.000 Have you seen like in the Whitmer kidnapping plot?
00:10:07.000 All of this is related.
00:10:08.000 There is an idea that there is an orthodoxy, the deep state, if you will, the security state, is going to punish people who believe wrongly.
00:10:17.000 They're going to use the criminal law to do so.
00:10:20.000 And it is as dangerous a threat as I've ever seen in my lifetime.
00:10:24.000 It's 59 years old in this country.
00:10:27.000 And I'm telling you, as I say, the Jack Smith indictment of Trump is the capstone of what we're seeing in the Democratic Party that is authoritarian to its core at the moment.
00:10:38.000 These people are Maoists.
00:10:39.000 Congressman Bishop, great work.
00:10:41.000 We have your back.
00:10:41.000 Thank you so much.

00:11:25.000 Boy, this clip has been memory-holded.
00:11:27.000 Ryan, good job.
00:11:29.000 Our team has done a great job, our clipping team.
00:11:32.000 You know who you are, finding this clip.
00:11:36.000 You see, this indictment hinges on something that we saw out of COVID, where the Prime Minister of New Zealand said this.
00:11:43.000 And I only know about this because Dennis Prager, to his credit, he talks about this like once a week on his radio program.
00:11:50.000 And I love Dennis, and he's amazing, and he's terrific.
00:11:53.000 So Dennis repeats it, repeats it, repeats it.
00:11:56.000 So it's kind of an - I only remember it thanks to Dennis, and so he's done a great service.
00:12:00.000 Where it was seemingly an offhanded comment, but boy, does this, it is the exact same idea toxin that is embedded in this indictment.
00:12:10.000 Before I get to the Mike Pence thing, I just have to play this.
00:12:12.000 I believe this is the tape.
00:12:14.000 It's Cut 77, who is, this was the Prime Minister of New Zealand.
00:12:18.000 I don't know if she's still the Prime Minister or not, where she effectively says, if you do not hear it from the government, it is not true.
00:12:25.000 Play Cut 77.
00:12:28.000 We will share with you the most up-to-date information daily.
00:12:32.000 You can trust us as a source of that information.
00:12:36.000 You can also trust the Director General of Health and the Ministry of Health.
00:12:40.000 Otherwise, dismiss anything else.
00:12:43.000 We will continue to be your single source of truth.
00:12:46.000 Otherwise, dismiss anything else.
00:12:48.000 There's another clip where she says it even more bluntly than that, but that's the essence of it.
00:12:52.000 I remember it was a different one at a press conference.
00:12:54.000 That actually is fine.
00:12:56.000 The true quote where she says, we'll continue to be your single source of truth unless you hear it from us.
00:13:00.000 It is not the truth.
00:13:01.000 March 19th, 2020.
00:13:03.000 If you do not hear it from the government, it is not true.
00:13:07.000 That's what this indictment is.
00:13:09.000 This indictment makes that case.
00:13:11.000 If you do not hear election claims from us, they are not true.
00:13:15.000 No questioning, no disagreement, no pushback.
00:13:19.000 Okay.
00:13:20.000 I got to attend yesterday.
00:13:22.000 I don't like getting to 10.
00:13:24.000 It's not fun.
00:13:25.000 I don't get to attend very often.
00:13:27.000 Thankfully, the steam blew over, but I'm still pretty fired up.
00:13:31.000 I expect Chuck Ushumer, AOC, Pocahontas, Bernie Sanders.
00:13:37.000 I expect them to do their thing.
00:13:38.000 Donald Trump's a criminal.
00:13:39.000 Donald Trump's criminal.
00:13:40.000 Donald Trump's criminal.
00:13:41.000 You know, for entertainment, I watch Morning Mika, and they have a competition.
00:13:44.000 How many times they can say insurrection, sedition, conspiracy, traitor, threat to democracy.
00:13:48.000 If that is the drinking game, you would have to have your stomach pumped.
00:13:53.000 Every 20 seconds they say it, it's a threat to democracy.
00:13:56.000 I'm Eugene Robinson.
00:13:58.000 I'm talking a barely decipherable way.
00:14:01.000 We don't have an opposition party.
00:14:03.000 Mike Pence comes out yesterday, and I saw this tweet, and I got blitz-in mad, and I still am.
00:14:11.000 Today's indictment serves as an important reminder.
00:14:16.000 Anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be president of the United States.
00:14:23.000 Mike Pence.
00:14:25.000 First of all, Mr. Pence, this is an indictment, not a conviction.
00:14:31.000 He is treating this indictment as if it's totally true.
00:14:35.000 The same regime that lied about the Russia hoax, lied about the vaccine, lied about lockdowns, lied about the source of COVID, lied about Ukrainian situational stuff happening in Ukraine, lied about all of it.
00:14:47.000 And yet we must take what they're saying as gospel.
00:14:50.000 Here is what he has said, in Mike Pence's own words.
00:14:52.000 I will have more to say about the government's case after reviewing the indictment.
00:14:56.000 The former president is entitled to the presumption of innocence, but with this indictment, his candidacy means more talk about January 6th and even more distractions, Mike Pence calls it.
00:15:04.000 As Americans, his candidacy means less attention paid to Joe Biden's disastrous economic policies afflicting millions across the United States and the pattern of corruption with Hunter.
00:15:13.000 Our country is more important than one man.
00:15:15.000 Our Constitution is more important than any one man's career.
00:15:17.000 On January 6th, former President Trump demanded that I choose between him and the Constitution.
00:15:21.000 I choose the Constitution and always will.
00:15:24.000 As your president, I will not yield an inch in defending America, our people, our values, I promise you.
00:15:29.000 I will do so in a consistent with my oath to the Constitution and the character and decency of the American people will restore a threshold of integrity and civility in public life so we can bring real solutions to the challenges plaguing our nation.
00:15:40.000 Mike Pence.
00:15:42.000 Where is the opposition party?
00:15:44.000 You have an out-of-control, deranged lunatic, Jack Smith, who's shaking.
00:15:48.000 He's like shaking.
00:15:49.000 Something wrong with that guy in the press conference.
00:15:52.000 This guy's like a feral dog.
00:15:54.000 And I got Mike Pence having to lecture us, that it's Donald Trump.
00:15:58.000 Lecture us, that it's Donald Trump.
00:16:00.000 Not the out-of-control administrative state, not this.
00:16:02.000 And here is the point: Mike Pence wants to be spared.
00:16:07.000 Mike Pence knows that this Department of Justice is out of control.
00:16:11.000 He thinks that true conservative is to surrender as long as I get book deals and I get to be controlled opposition.
00:16:20.000 Mike Pence is David French conservatism, Vichy French conservatism, eat me last conservatism.
00:16:28.000 Mike Pence says you can indict everybody, but don't touch me because I say acceptable stuff, but will never actually be totally disagreeable or challenge the real issues that are destroying America.
00:16:37.000 I'm Mike Pence and I'm an honorable man.
00:16:42.000 America is the first nation in history founded on the idea of a natural God-given rights and on political principles proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence of liberty, equality, and limited government.

00:17:36.000 Check it out.
00:17:37.000 Wonderful resource, charlie4hillsdale.com.
00:17:46.000 Joining us now is a great American, Donald Trump Jr.
00:17:50.000 Don, thank you for making time for us, your reaction to your father being indicted again on federal charges, this time in Washington, D.C.
00:17:57.000 Well, Charlie, I mean, it's getting old.
00:18:00.000 It's like Taco Tuesday, Indictment Tuesday.
00:18:02.000 It just happens every week.
00:18:04.000 And amazingly enough, Charlie, it seems to happen every week the day after there are major Biden revelations, whether it was earlier in the summer when the FBI shows the evidence that Joe Biden was involved.
00:18:17.000 The next day, there was the original Mar-a-Lago indictment.
00:18:20.000 Then you had the Hunter Biden Kush plea deal two weeks ago that was a better deal than any human being would ever get in the world, plus blanket immunity for anything else he may have done in perpetuity.
00:18:36.000 The next day, they add on to the Trump thing.
00:18:40.000 Then you have Devin Archer, Hunter Biden's business partner and BFF, going in to testify before House oversight.
00:18:49.000 Magically, Charlie, as though we haven't noticed the pattern already, the next day, to distract from what's actually going on in the real world, the actual most corrupt president to ever sit in the oval office, you know, stuff that makes Watergate seem like kindergarten, you have another Trump indictment.
00:19:11.000 You know, we're on, what, you know, 4,763.
00:19:14.000 I mean, we live in a banana republic, Charlie.
00:19:16.000 There's no other way to talk about it.
00:19:18.000 I mean, the political persecution of your enemies in a democracy and a republic such as ours isn't supposed to happen.
00:19:27.000 And yet it's happening.
00:19:28.000 And you know who's incredibly silent?
00:19:31.000 Our masters in the big tech sphere, our mainstream media.
00:19:35.000 You know, they talk about the Trump indictment, not what's actually going on with people who've controlled the nuclear codes who have brought us to the brink of World War III with Russia.
00:19:44.000 You know, again, over money made in the Ukraine.
00:19:47.000 So who knows what else they have on the Bidens that's causing us to spend not just $130 billion, but also bring us perhaps to the brink of nuclear war.
00:19:57.000 That's what's going on in our country.
00:19:59.000 It's a sad state of affairs, and it's pretty pathetic.
00:20:02.000 So, Don, I want to just reinforce what you're saying here.
00:20:04.000 Here's a timeline: this is real stuff.
00:20:06.000 And I'd love for some of these reporters to respond.
00:20:09.000 June 7th, FBI releases documents to Congress alleging the Bidens took a $10 million bribe from Burisma.
00:20:15.000 June 8th, Jack Smith indicts Trump and Mar-a-Lago documents.
00:20:18.000 July 26th, Hunter Biden goes to court and gets rejection of the sweetheart plea deal.
00:20:22.000 July 27th, Jack Smith adds more charges for Trump in the Mar-a-Lago case.
00:20:26.000 July 31st, Devin Archer testifies.
00:20:29.000 August 1st, Jack Smith indicts Trump.
00:20:32.000 Again, on January 6th.
00:20:35.000 That's like three in a row, Don.
00:20:37.000 And so what I have been most fired up about is the lack of response from Republicans.
00:20:44.000 Mike Pence tweeted of your reaction to this yesterday, Don.
00:20:47.000 Yesterday, Mike Pence said, today's indictment serves as an important reminder: anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be president of the United States.
00:20:54.000 Don, your reaction to Mike Pence.
00:20:56.000 I've always spoken highly of Mike Pence.
00:21:00.000 I liked him as an individual.
00:21:02.000 I had not been critical of him for plenty of things that I disagree with him on, but reading that and knowing what's going on, and he knows full well because he was part of Russia, Russia, Russia, and the precursors to all of this, I was wrong to have thought as highly of Mike Pence.
00:21:19.000 Yeah, it's, I'll tell you, there's I've been more restrained than most on the Pence thing.
00:21:28.000 Don, what is your reaction to the Devin Archer revelations and then what you had to go through with the Russia collusion nonsense for a couple of years?
00:21:37.000 Yeah, so just for perspective, I did 50 hours of testimony.
00:21:40.000 You had the head of the House Intelligence Committee saying that I had committed treason, a crime punishable by death.
00:21:47.000 So for perspective, I took a 15, 20 minute meeting that everyone agrees was exactly as I stated, 50 hours of testimony for treason.
00:21:56.000 I mean, that's kind of a big one, you know.
00:21:59.000 And that happened in a tiny fraction, a matter of months.
00:22:05.000 There was, you know, I looked at business deals with these people before.
00:22:09.000 They were developers in Moscow.
00:22:10.000 Remember, before we got into the world of politics, we actually built buildings.
00:22:15.000 I don't know what Hunter Biden did before that, other than pedal influence, because his father was a career politician.
00:22:21.000 There's credible paper trails, millions of dollars exchanged, corrupt regimes, whether it's China, Ukraine, Russia, money tied to human trafficking, drug trafficking, sex trafficking, you can't even make up.
00:22:34.000 It reads like it's a scene out of narcos.
00:22:37.000 And that's before you get to the Hunter Biden laptop from hell, the lies, the cover-up, the full-fledged interference by not just our mainstream media, not just big tech, but also our intelligence agencies and operatives.
00:22:51.000 It seems that if Don Jr. would have done the things that Hunter Biden did, even a tiny fraction of them, he'd be in gitmo right now, and rightfully so.
00:22:58.000 The fact that there's barely even coverage of these things, that there's barely, I mean, again, this stuff makes Watergate seem like garbage, like nothing.
00:23:08.000 And I remember during Russia, Russia, Russia, you know, the Bob Woodwards, this is worse than, you know, every other day was something Trump did was worse than Watergate, even though he never did the things that they said were worse, but they, you know, they created that narrative.
00:23:20.000 Well, where are they now, Charlie?
00:23:22.000 Their silence is deafening because if you're telling me that we're on the brink of war with Russia, we're funding not only a proxy war, but a boots on the ground war in Europe, what could possibly go wrong, with a nuclear superpower that has more warheads than we do, I'd say that's bigger than Watergate.
00:23:40.000 If we're making decisions and sending $130 billion, and probably a large portion of the $220 billion that the Pentagon magically cannot account for, we are a corrupt and broken regime if we don't have a mainstream media that isn't even willing to ask the questions or Republicans who don't want to go all in because they're either a part of it or don't want to know the answers.
00:24:03.000 I mean, if that's not bigger than Watergate, I don't know what is.
00:24:08.000 I don't know what is, but it's happening right now.
00:24:10.000 And you have a president that's sitting in there bringing us closer to the brink of war.
00:24:14.000 Can't get through a sentence, but we're going to keep him in power because the Democrats have taken over every institution in our country and they've weaponized them and politicized them just like you see with the further indictments from Jack Smith this week, last week, the week before that, three weeks before that, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
00:24:30.000 Let's play Cut 46.
00:24:33.000 I just, it's just strange credulity that he flies to China with his son and doesn't ask once, by the way, where are you going to go in China?
00:24:41.000 You know, what are the, are you doing business here?
00:24:44.000 That he makes all these calls to these foods and dinners with foreign characters and he doesn't say, who were those guys?
00:24:50.000 Why were you meeting?
00:24:52.000 It just, it's just not very believable.
00:24:54.000 We have to find out the full story here.
00:24:57.000 I think this is shaping up to be one of the greatest corruption scandals in the history of Washington, and that is saying a lot.
00:25:06.000 Now, Jonathan Turley is a very fair-minded guy, Don.
00:25:10.000 He's not MAGA by any means.
00:25:11.000 For him to say that, that carries significant weight, your reaction.
00:25:15.000 It should carry significant weight because he's 100% right.
00:25:20.000 This is insanity.
00:25:22.000 Honestly, there should be Democrats saying something about it.
00:25:24.000 I know if it was me, they would be.
00:25:26.000 But I mean, we're making decisions that could take us to nuclear war.
00:25:30.000 And they're like, you know, who knows if it's tied together?
00:25:33.000 Who knows if it's this?
00:25:34.000 I mean, I guess it's okay if a Democrat does it.
00:25:37.000 I mean, this is insanity.
00:25:39.000 I legitimately feel like I'm living in the Truman show, Charlie.
00:25:43.000 I'm waiting for like a TV camera to pop out of the ceiling and find out that I'm just being punked because it can't possibly be happening in the America that I know and love.
00:25:52.000 And yet it is before our very eyes every day.
00:25:55.000 So we better wake up to what's actually going on or we're going to be in serious trouble because we're no better than any of the banana republics we like to throw stones at proverbially about the way they run themselves.
00:26:08.000 I mean, this is the Jack Smith, the press conference yesterday.
00:26:12.000 It's literally that.
00:26:13.000 And honestly, the Republican rhinos that are trying to maintain and or grab power by adopting the Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Adam Schiff, January 6th unselect committee talking points to try to win some political capital during a primary, they're just as bad as the Democrats.
00:26:33.000 So in closing here, Don, I want to get just kind of your reaction.
00:26:38.000 There have been, unfortunately, the other Republicans running for the presidency, Ron DeSantis and others, the best one has been Vivek to his credit.
00:26:47.000 They are not coming out very strong about this administrative state crusade against the top leading opponent.
00:26:54.000 Can you just give us some window into the campaign?
00:26:57.000 It looks like your father has more resolve, more fortitude, more fight than ever.
00:27:02.000 Just give us a little bit of a picture in how your father is dealing with this and how he's more committed than ever to win the election in November of 2024.
00:27:11.000 Yeah, no, he's doing great.
00:27:13.000 I spoke to him yesterday, obviously, after the news, just checking in.
00:27:17.000 Hey, how you doing?
00:27:19.000 Yeah, hey, hey, how you doing?
00:27:20.000 It's like, oh, you're freaking wonderful.
00:27:22.000 Sorry.
00:27:25.000 But honestly, I think we've just become so normalized to it.
00:27:28.000 And that's not a normal emotional response.
00:27:31.000 That's not supposed to be what happens when this goes on.
00:27:34.000 But I think we all understand what's going on.
00:27:38.000 We all see it.
00:27:39.000 I saw Ron DeSanctimonius yesterday with his, well, I will now, in the high-pitched squeal voice of his, well, now take on the weaponization of government.
00:27:48.000 Hey, Ron, that's weird.
00:27:49.000 I remember three weeks ago when you said that it wasn't really a real thing and it wasn't a priority.
00:27:53.000 Now you're going to take it on.
00:27:54.000 Like, you know, yet another flip-flop with someone that I thought actually had some potential for the future of our party.
00:28:00.000 It turns out, I guess, once you run for higher office, you're just bought by the, you know, the Karl Roves of the world and your consultants who, you know, have their other motives than, say, putting America first.
00:28:13.000 So, you know, yet another flip-flop from these guys.
00:28:16.000 You just realize how sad of a state of affairs, not just for the country in general, but even within our own party.
00:28:24.000 We just have a bunch of weaklings and they're all beholden to the others and to the DC uni party establishment.
00:28:31.000 And, you know, that's why they're going after Trump so hard.
00:28:33.000 They want to break that.
00:28:34.000 They want to make sure that not only does Trump never get back in there because he's the only threat to the power that they hold, but they also want to make sure to pass a message to anyone in the future who might hold a similar viewpoint, who may have been successful in the real world, not just within their bureaucracy, and wants to get involved and take part in our democratic process.
00:28:56.000 They want to send a message to them loud and clear.
00:28:59.000 Don't even think about stepping into our turf or we'll ruin you.
00:29:02.000 And if you're a successful guy, you've done really well for yourself, you know, why on earth would you even bother?
00:29:07.000 They would love for that apathy to exist so they can maintain their power because without it, they're nothing.
00:29:13.000 Without it, they wouldn't be able, they'd barely be able to survive.
00:29:16.000 They're good at one thing and functioning, and that's functioning in a bureaucracy.
00:29:19.000 It's sort of like Anthony Fauci was never the best doctor.
00:29:23.000 He was never the smartest.
00:29:24.000 He was never the this, but he probably was the best bureaucrat.
00:29:28.000 You know, he figured out how to get in front of every camera.
00:29:30.000 He figured out how to snake anyone who actually had a good idea and probably take it and create power.
00:29:37.000 Turns out the guy's been wrong about everything for 40 years, and yet he's still in the top position forever.
00:29:43.000 You know, because credibility, accountability, none of that matters.
00:29:46.000 It's playing that game, and they want to make sure that no one else is willing to get in that sandbox.
00:29:51.000 Don, we have your back.
00:29:52.000 Keep fighting.
00:29:52.000 It's amazing how much your family sacrificed.

00:31:11.000 Okay, something that we laid out a couple weeks ago was how the alternate electors were going to be the attack vector against Donald Trump.
00:31:20.000 This has no legal basis.
00:31:21.000 This is a total fiction, that they're trying to create this quote-unquote legal conspiracy around the idea of alternate electors.
00:31:31.000 Now, we saw this very clearly, and this is exactly why they had to go after the MAGA supporters, the rank-and-file MAGA supporters in Michigan.
00:31:42.000 This was us on our program laying it out, PlayCut 67.
00:31:46.000 What is noteworthy here, and we'll go into the details of it, is why now?
00:31:52.000 Why is this all bubbling up now?
00:31:54.000 And it's obvious the alternate elector piece is critical to be able to prove Donald Trump, quote-unquote, prove Donald Trump was a seditious conspiracist.
00:32:10.000 It is by no coincidence whatsoever that Donald Trump gets a letter from Jack Smith, and simultaneously, the Michigan Attorney General moves on these quote-unquote alternate electors.
00:32:28.000 They're all tied together, and this is the largest part of the indictment.
00:32:31.000 If you read through the indictment, it says in great detail that the core of it is the core conspirators, co-conspirators putting together alternate electors, which, by the way, alternate electors had legal precedent of being selected and chosen in the Kennedy-Nixon 1960 election.
00:32:54.000 So they go after senior citizens in Michigan, first through the Michigan Attorney General, a totally captured state, by the way.
00:33:02.000 Michigan is totally captured.
00:33:03.000 It's really sad.
00:33:06.000 And then they're able to write this indictment saying, aha, see, they worked in tandem together to overthrow the government.
00:33:14.000 So they were trying to overthrow the government by sending in alternate electors.
00:33:18.000 How does that work exactly?
00:33:20.000 The vice president could have sent it back to the states, and the judge in 1960, who selected the alternate electors in the Hawaii controversy of Kennedy and Nixon, said explicitly: if you would not have sent those electors, it could not have been chosen.
00:33:39.000 The judge said that in 1960, the 1960 election.
00:33:43.000 If you had not have sent them, we would not have been able to select them.
00:33:49.000 And let me, I just, I'm curious, if you're trying to overthrow the government, who tweets about it?
00:33:56.000 Every single one of these alternate electors tweeted in real time with pictures and selfies, here's our alternate electors.
00:34:02.000 That's a rather weird way to overthrow the government.
00:34:05.000 It was obviously a publicity stunt.
00:34:08.000 And part of it was also like, hey, if there is irregularities, here's the electors.
00:34:16.000 And there's two components of it.
00:34:17.000 And John Eastman talked about it on our program.
00:34:20.000 Component number one is that how these elections were conducted themselves were illegally conducted because they changed election law without going through the state legislature.
00:34:31.000 So they send alternate electors saying the entire election itself might be invalidated as an illegal exercise.
00:34:37.000 Long shot, but potential.
00:34:40.000 The second of which is: is there enough quote-unquote fraud or irregularities of ballot signatures, mass mail, and balloting, all this stuff?
00:34:48.000 It was an open question.
00:34:50.000 And that is the core of all of this.
00:34:54.000 You live in a free society when you can ask questions, even dumb questions.
00:34:57.000 Remember, when you grew up, you said there's no such thing as a dumb question.
00:35:00.000 We used to teach our kids that.
00:35:02.000 There's no such thing as a dumb question.
00:35:04.000 Now, a bad question or a wrongthink question can land you in prison for 515 years.
00:35:14.000 The mark of a tyranny.
00:35:15.000 You know you're living in a tyrannical country when you cannot question.
00:35:20.000 Soviet Union would say, oh, there's a harvest.
00:35:23.000 No, it's a drought.
00:35:24.000 Go to jail.
00:35:25.000 Go to the gulager.
00:35:26.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
00:35:27.000 Email us as always, freedom at charliekirk.com.
