Impeachment? Not so fast! All eyes on 9:30, right? We walk through that and more on today's episode of The Charlie Kirk Show with Dan Patrick ( ) and Brian Kelly ( )!

00:02:12.000However, the other news today that is critical and that's happening, Speaker Kevin McCarthy is announcing, has announced that it is time to proceed on an impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden.
00:02:26.000Now, the position on this program is very clear.
00:02:28.000Joe Biden is a traitor to the United States.
00:02:49.000Why did this not happen six months ago or seven months ago is an interesting question.
00:02:53.000It's a prelude to official impeachment.
00:02:57.000And this is being met with, understandably, very favorably by many Republicans.
00:03:02.000They say, finally, about time we're going to have some form of justice against Joe Biden.
00:03:08.000And I'm not going to downplay the impeachment of Joe Biden.
00:03:12.000I'm not going to say I disagree with it.
00:03:15.000I'm not going to say that it's a bad idea, but I think our position on this program is going to be a little bit different.
00:03:20.000Again, Joe Biden definitely deserves impeachment.
00:03:24.000He arguably deserves actually a treason trial.
00:03:28.000Certainly his son, Hunter Biden, does, something close to gitmo.
00:03:31.000But the fact that now McCarthy is willing to allow, willing to allow an impeachment trial is all because of the 30th of September.
00:03:42.000On this show, we have been turning up the temperature and we've been having guest after guest after guest focusing on the big day.
00:03:49.000You could call it D-Day, 9:30, the 30th of September.
00:03:56.000We laid out the stakes of what that deadline means.
00:03:59.000This is a real opportunity to turn back the massive overreach of the Biden machine, the Uniparty, the insiders, as we call them on this program.
00:04:10.000Biden wants more money for his government and more money for Zelensky's government.
00:04:14.000It's time for the Republican Party to draw a line, as we've said, and say no more.
00:04:19.000Three really basic asks that we've been saying on this program that we are pushing for at turning point action, where we are able to lobby at turning point action.
00:04:27.000And the grassroots are demanding: no blank check for Ukraine.
00:05:11.000And because of that, today he made the announcement.
00:05:14.000That's why the timing is happening today.
00:05:15.000Now, a motion to vacate is that according to the speaker rules that were formed, any member with, I think it takes four or five other members, can say we're going to vacate the chair.
00:05:26.000We need to find a new speaker of the House.
00:05:29.000So they've been holding that over Speaker McCarthy.
00:05:32.000Remember, that was all during the speaker negotiations that happened back in January.
00:05:37.000So this deadline of 9:30 is far more important than any impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden.
00:05:43.000Remember, we have a presidential election coming up next year, and it looks like Joe Biden is going to be the nominee.
00:05:50.000My argument is not that we shouldn't impeach Joe Biden because it would hurt us in the election.
00:06:08.000Now, I still think that maybe there's an argument to do it.
00:06:10.000Should have been done a long time ago.
00:06:13.000But I'm actually far more worried, not about Joe Biden and potentially impeaching him, but I'm far more worried about why aren't we using our political power to defund the FBI.
00:06:26.000If we have to make a choice, do we impeach Joe Biden or force confessions out of Joe Biden?
00:07:22.000Your investigation is an assault on our Constitution and our system of government.
00:07:27.000You aren't getting a cent until it goes away.
00:07:30.000Now, we can't demand everything we want.
00:07:33.000We would want, of course, the Department of Education and other things to be shut down.
00:07:36.000But instead, we should be focused on one or two or three things that we realistically can get done.
00:07:42.000Now, here's an interesting concession: Joe Biden might say, Oh, I'm not going to sign a piece of legislation that will defund Jack Smith.
00:07:51.000But interesting, you could write the piece of legislation where actually you could Joe Biden could read it and say, well, it could actually help him and help his son.
00:08:01.000Isn't the argument that we're making is that elections should not be interfered with via Department of Justice inquiries?
00:08:08.000I would rather actually have impeachment proceedings against Merrick Garland and Jack Smith than even Joe Biden.
00:08:16.000So we're not going to knock Joe Biden out of office by doing these impeachment proceedings.
00:08:21.000Democrats hold the Senate, and they have to do a trial.
00:08:26.000The only reason to impeach Biden is just for the symbolism of it.
00:08:29.000And of course, there's an argument to be made to force the press to cover the evidence and the allegations against the Biden crime family.
00:09:35.000Moderate Republicans don't want to cut Jack Smith's funding.
00:09:39.000Moderate Republicans do not want to limit Zelensky's funding.
00:09:43.000Moderate Republicans do not want to close the border.
00:09:47.000So a concession they're making is, oh, just throw the right-wingers on the Charlie Kirk show on Steve Bannon, on Jack Pesobic, throw them a little bit of a bone where they have an impeachment inquiry.
00:10:00.000They're trying to make you care about 9:30 less.

00:12:37.000which I think this program on our show, we've done a very thorough job, almost on a daily basis, of talking about how the administrative state is philosophically and morally and structurally at odds with the U.S. Constitution, to use a sexier term, shadow government or deep state, then that's where we need to focus our energy.

00:13:03.000I'm not saying that this is a waste of time.
00:13:07.000People say, well, Charlie, I'm so excited to finally see Joe Biden removed from office.
00:13:11.000That's not going to happen, everybody.
00:13:12.000He might get removed by office if we defeat him in the 2024 election.
00:13:17.000The United States Senate will not remove him from office.
00:13:20.000Now, if your argument is, well, this can weigh him down politically, this can create some new cycles around Joe Biden's corruption and his foreign business dealings, how's the media going to cover the impeachment proceedings?
00:13:38.000Is the media going to cover him fairly?
00:13:40.000Are they going to say, Republicans on a witch hunt while Americans can't pay for groceries?
00:13:45.000Be careful if that could potentially backfire.
00:13:55.000On the list of priorities, I've said this before, I'll say it again: Joe Biden will likely be dead in 10 to 15 years, and that's grading on a very generous curve.
00:14:05.000I don't wish him death, it's just the way it is.

00:14:08.000It's not really about Joe Biden, is it?
00:14:26.000The machine can be best represented as unelected, unknown bureaucrats, desk workers, is what that word means in French, paper shufflers, the permanent bureaucracy that run the country.
00:14:46.000If you are able to defund Jack Smith and defund those aspects of the DOJ, why would Republicans not have the stomach or the courage to do that?

00:15:43.000Do you get the feeling that something bad is going to happen soon?
00:17:11.000Well, if we had Congress that didn't take six weeks off in the summer, if we had Congress that did not have to do very basic things, maybe.
00:18:20.000And what I am trying to humbly submit is that impeachment, albeit the morally right thing to do, will not be successful in the U.S. Senate.
00:18:35.000So I'm not going to do what some people do, which is give hopium, raise your expectations unrealistically, and then you get disappointed.
00:19:15.000This is a deal happening in real time.
00:19:19.000And I want to tell you what this deal is, which is why I have a contrarian take here today, instead of just putting on the pom-poms and saying, yay, impeachment.
00:20:50.000The deal that the moderates are trying to broker, the Bacon wing of the Republican Party.
00:20:56.000No, not Bacon like you get at Denny's.
00:20:59.000I'm talking about Don Bacon, okay, very moderate guy.
00:21:03.000Mario Diaz-Baltart, those guys, is you're seeing a crony deal being brokered in real time.
00:21:13.000Understand that the MAGA base, you, the Charlie Kirk show audience, all of us together, the power of this audience, has a fair amount of power in the negotiation.
00:21:30.000So they think that you, the audience, will calm down if they throw an impeachment inquiry at you and that you will not care when there is a clean resolution.
00:22:12.000I got to give the Republican moderates some compliments here.
00:22:18.000They've been stringing us along on impeachment, stringing us along on impeachment, keeping it in their back pocket this whole time, where they said, hey, in mid-September, if there are real calls of rebellion in the House, throw some red meat at the base and then announce the impeachment inquiry and do a deal.
00:23:05.000They didn't launch the impeachment inquiry in March or April, in June or July, because they had 9:30 circled.
00:23:15.000Before we started talking about 9.30 on this program, before we started to talk about September 30th as being the climax of the 110-year war, the moderates in the Republican Party had it circled, 9.30.
00:23:31.000So they said, okay, let's not do the impeachment thing.
00:24:09.000Votes on balanced budgets and term limits.
00:24:12.000Subpoenas for Hunter Biden and the members of the Biden family who've been grifting off of this country and the impeachment for Joe Biden that he so richly deserves.
00:24:22.000Do these things or face a motion to vacate the chair.
00:24:27.000So Matt Gates on the floor of the House of Representatives said that's the nuclear weapon.
00:24:48.000And Gates was starting to tell people privately that he was going to have an announcement.
00:24:52.000And then he was trolling Eric Swallow on Twitter.
00:24:54.000This was like the worst kept secret in right-wing politics the last three days, that Matt Gates was going to do something about this, right?
00:25:01.000And he hasn't done anything yet, but he's teasing it.
00:25:24.000And then you get this impeachment inquiry, not an impeachment, an impeachment inquiry.
00:25:32.000And now they're going to go into private discussions and they're going to say, okay, we are going to do this impeachment inquiry if you guys come to a deal, a deal, on a clean, dirty, a clean, dirty CR.
00:27:46.000And so Congressman Ken Buck goes on Jake Tapper on CNN and says that there's no evidence that Joe Biden was involved in Hunter Biden's business dealings.
00:29:43.000Not going to be the main focus of my energy.
00:29:47.000I want you guys in the audience to your phones and emails and calls to be less about the pom-pom cheering squad of, yay, we do an impeachment query instead of why is Jack Smith still have any money?
00:31:14.000They had this in their back pocket and they announced it just in time to try to throw some red meat while you have the actual funding, the technical aspects of the Leviathan right in front of us.
