The Charlie Kirk Show - The Left's Stinky Favorite Weapon + The Next Pope?

00:00:00.000 Hey everybody, Charlie Kirk here, live from the Bitcoin.com studio.

00:00:04.000 Yes, there are still men winning championships and taking them from women in the state of California.

00:00:09.000 Gavin Newsom lied to me, of course he did, on my podcast with him.

00:00:13.000 He is beholden to his state and to the radical left.

00:00:16.000 We discuss that and also live from Rome, John Yep joins us and describes what the conclave is.

00:00:22.000 And then we also cover how you can make $70,000 a year without a college degree.

00:00:28.000 Right.

00:00:30.000 And then finally, why is the left obsessed with poop?

00:00:46.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus.

00:00:48.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.

00:00:51.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.

00:00:54.000 I want to thank Charlie.

00:00:56.000 He's an incredible guy.

00:00:57.000 His spirit, his love of this country.

00:00:58.000 He's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA.

00:01:05.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.

00:01:14.000 That's why we are here.

00:01:40.000 There are men still winning Female championships all across the country.

00:01:47.000 President Trump signed an executive order saying no men in female sports, but states are actively defying it.

00:01:52.000 They say, oh, what good is a president?

00:01:54.000 Who cares if you won a popular vote?

00:01:55.000 Who cares if 90% of the country doesn't want this?

00:01:59.000 It's irrelevant to them.

00:02:00.000 Well, the fight is on in California, of course, where Gavin Newsom told me that he had a problem with this. 0.89

00:02:07.000 Was Gavin Newsom lying, or is he too much of a coward to do anything about it?

00:02:11.000 Joining us now is Sophia Laurie, Outreach Director for California Family and host of a This is a Woman podcast.

00:02:20.000 Sophia, welcome to the program.

00:02:21.000 How are you?

00:02:22.000 I'm doing well.

00:02:23.000 Thank you for having me on, Charlie.

00:02:25.000 So, Sophia, tell us the state of affairs, I should say, in California and a little bit nationally.

00:02:32.000 Are men still winning competitions, awards, and medals over female athletes?

00:02:38.000 Unfortunately, they are, especially in California.

00:02:40.000 You know, Trump put out this great executive order, and just days later, CIF, who's the governing body of high school sports in the state of California, said, nope, we're not going to follow it.

00:02:50.000 We're going to continue to allow boys to compete in girls' sports, to be in their locker rooms, and we're seeing that happen this weekend.

00:02:56.000 We're going to watch a male, who is right now first in three different track events, compete against girls and beat out the girls for the position of finals.

00:03:05.000 So tell us about A.B. Hernandez.

00:03:08.000 So A.B. Hernandez, I actually brought up to Gavin Newsom.

00:03:11.000 Let's start with this, actually.

00:03:12.000 Let's play Cut 266.

00:03:14.000 This was my conversation with Gavin Newsom.

00:03:16.000 Play Cut 266.

00:03:17.000 So you right now should come out and be like, you know what?

00:03:20.000 The young man who's about to win the state championship and the long jump in female sports, that shouldn't happen. 0.98

00:03:26.000 You as the governor should step out and say no.

00:03:28.000 No, and I appreciate...

00:03:29.000 But would you do something like that?

00:03:31.000 Would you say no men in female sports? 0.99

00:03:32.000 Well, I think it's an issue of fairness.

00:03:34.000 I completely agree with you on that.

00:03:36.000 So that's easy to call out, the unfairness of that.

00:03:38.000 There's also a humility and a grace that these poor people are more likely to commit suicide, have anxiety and depression.

00:03:45.000 And the way that people talk down to vulnerable communities is an issue that...

00:03:50.000 I have a hard time with as well.

00:03:52.000 So both things I can hold in my hand.

00:03:54.000 How can we address this issue with the kind of decency that I think is inherent in you, but not always expressed?

00:04:02.000 So A.B. Hernandez, the person in question, is in first place.

00:04:06.000 That's a biological man in three different track and field events, and he's competing in the woman's category in preliminaries.

00:04:13.000 Tell us more.

00:04:14.000 Yeah, so this Saturday at Yorba Linda High School, we have the CIF preliminaries, and he right now is in first for high jump, long jump, and triple jump.

00:04:23.000 And so these girls are going to have to be competing against them. 1.00

00:04:26.000 And let's be real, he's going to beat them.

00:04:28.000 He has these biological advantages.

00:04:30.000 I've been able to talk to some of their girls and some of the families that are competing this weekend, and they know it's unfair.

00:04:36.000 And the fact that they have to go into preliminaries and not just be ready to compete, not just make sure they got enough sleep, make sure they ate the right things, make sure they trained hard enough for the preliminaries.

00:04:46.000 But they now have to focus on the fact that there is a boy competing against them that no matter how hard they train, that he is going to outperform.

00:04:53.000 And, you know, we've worked real hard in California to push back on this.

00:04:59.000 We had actually two Save Girls sports bills this year. 0.90

00:05:02.000 I testified in support of one of them.

00:05:04.000 It was Assembly Bill 89 by Assemblywoman Kate Sanchez.

00:05:08.000 And I was actually able to quote that clip of Governor Newsom saying it's deeply un- Yeah, and so, again, we can go through the list that your wonderful organization has composed.

00:05:35.000 I don't know if I'm allowed to name these names off because they might be minors, so I'll instead just name the school, if that's okay.

00:05:41.000 There's someone at Sonoma Academy who's a man who is on pace to win a cross-country and track and field championship.

00:05:48.000 Half Moon Bay High School, volleyball.

00:05:51.000 Waldorf High School, volleyball, basketball, and soccer.

00:05:53.000 A.B. Hernandez we talked about.

00:05:55.000 Martin Luther King High School, cross-country.

00:05:57.000 The Buckley High School, cross-country, soccer, track, and field.

00:06:00.000 The Buckley High School, volleyball.

00:06:03.000 Davis Senior High School, skiing and mountain biking.

00:06:06.000 Davis Senior High School, track and field.

00:06:08.000 Davis Senior High School, cross country.

00:06:10.000 Now what I find really interesting about that list that you compiled, as a side note, there are schools that have multiple trans athletes.

00:06:18.000 What is the likelihood of that?

00:06:20.000 So this is something that is not yet a majority.

00:06:23.000 It happens a lot.

00:06:25.000 What's the likelihood of it happening that half that list actually is from an overlapping of schools?

00:06:31.000 This seems to be a social contagion.

00:06:33.000 Absolutely.

00:06:34.000 It's extremely evident that teachers are pushing this agenda on students.

00:06:38.000 We see some of the schools you listed were getting pictures sent nonstop of trans flags, pride flags, BLM flags hung up in these teachers' classrooms.

00:06:48.000 And so it really goes to show as these grown adults are pushing this ideology, this trans ideology on students, they're going to start falling for it.

00:06:57.000 And like you said, these are minors.

00:06:59.000 These boys, whether or not we agree with what they're doing, and we absolutely do not agree with them being girls sports or pretending to be girls, they are victims to this too.

00:07:07.000 And it's because of what these teachers are pushing.

00:07:09.000 Yeah, and so I want to dive a little bit deeper into this.

00:07:13.000 And so is it true that we actually have no idea how the magnitude of this?

00:07:18.000 I mean, one thing the Trump administration could do is they could demand information that they could say, hey, not only are we prohibiting it, but we are requiring, since you receive federal money, to know if you have men and female sports.

00:07:32.000 You guys had to somewhat informally, in a guerrilla tactic way, compile this list.

00:07:37.000 Is that correct?

00:07:38.000 Yeah, absolutely.

00:07:39.000 It would be great to have that force being put on California, being put on CIF, because right now there is no way to fully track those schools and athletes that you listed off.

00:07:49.000 That's just what we've been able to pull together.

00:07:51.000 But we know it's happening up and down our state and more than we can even imagine.

00:07:55.000 So if we could get President Trump to come in and force California to start keeping track, that would be phenomenal.

00:08:02.000 What is the rank and file of parents in California?

00:08:06.000 What are they saying about this?

00:08:07.000 Is word starting to really get out the fact that there is now dozens of these instances of men winning female championships?

00:08:16.000 Word is definitely getting out.

00:08:18.000 Parents are truly extremely upset in the state of California.

00:08:21.000 We saw just two years ago a study come out showing that 68% of Californians...

00:08:27.000 Do not agree with boys and girls sports.

00:08:30.000 So this is a winning issue in California.

00:08:32.000 Yet our governor is doing nothing.

00:08:34.000 Our Democrat legislators are constantly killing bills on this topic. 0.83

00:08:38.000 And so the parents are ready for there to be a change.

00:08:40.000 We saw when there was the Save Girls Sports bills hearings, 100 people showed up to urge a yes vote.

00:08:47.000 We're getting people to show up this Saturday.

00:08:49.000 Parents are showing up to school board meetings across the state of California and urging people to save girls sports.

00:08:54.000 So no matter what people like to think about, In closing here, what are the marching orders?

00:09:04.000 And also, I do want to ask, does this also mean that the boys who are stealing these girls' championships, do they get access to the girls' locker room?

00:09:12.000 Yes, currently in the state of California, since 2013, boys have been allowed to access locker rooms and bathrooms, the girls' locker rooms and restrooms.

00:09:21.000 And so it's been a big issue, and we need to put an end to that.

00:09:25.000 And the way people can get involved and make a difference is CIF is acting like Californians don't want this change, that Californians don't want to stop boys being in girls' locker rooms and sports teams.

00:09:36.000 So we need to make sure CIF knows Californians and Americans are over with what Californians.

00:09:41.000 So at CaliforniaFamily.org, we just launched a petition urging CIF to save girls sports.

00:09:47.000 So if people can sign up for that, we'll get that in the hands of CIF and to their president, John Becker, and make sure they know where we stand.

00:09:55.000 Very good.

00:09:56.000 And again, the Gavin Newsom cowardice is remarkable, not speaking out on this and saying what he said on the podcast.

00:10:03.000 He is such a fraud through and through, if I may use that language.

00:10:09.000 If A.B. Hernandez is to win the state championship in track and field, I hope that there is nationwide disgust and disdain for this. 0.59

00:10:17.000 They say, oh, you're picking on trans athletes.

00:10:19.000 No, no, no. 0.88

00:10:20.000 These trans athletes are picking on women. 0.99

00:10:22.000 Get your words right.

00:10:23.000 Thank you so much, Sophia.

00:10:25.000 Talk to you soon.

00:10:26.000 Thank you.

00:10:29.000 So you've heard me talk about Patriot Mobile for a while now.

00:10:31.000 You probably already know that for years, they've stood in the gap for every American that believes that freedom is worth fighting for.

00:10:36.000 They are the real deal.

00:10:37.000 So if you switch to Patriot Mobile, look, it's very simple.

00:10:40.000 It's a binary choice.

00:10:41.000 Either you are giving your money via your mobile bill to a woke company or a patriotic one.

00:10:46.000 You're probably giving it to a woke one.

00:10:48.000 But you might say, oh Charlie, they have worse coverage.

00:10:50.000 Eh, it's actually better.

00:10:52.000 Patriot Mobile is one of the few cell phone providers that operates on all three major networks.

00:10:55.000 If you're listening to this podcast right now on a phone, Why don't you have Patriot Mobile?

00:11:10.000 In fact, it's very easy.

00:11:45.000 I commonly say that college is a scam and artificial intelligence is going to replace so many jobs it will make.

00:11:55.000 Millions of college graduates wondering, why did I go to college in the first place?

00:11:59.000 It's interesting.

00:12:00.000 When I go to these college campuses, sometimes I'll have some hecklers.

00:12:03.000 At Long Beach, I had some hecklers.

00:12:05.000 Whenever, in San Francisco, whenever the topic of AI comes up, everyone gets really quiet.

00:12:12.000 You can almost hear a pen drop or a pin drop.

00:12:17.000 Even the protesters shut up when I start talking about AI.

00:12:21.000 Because they know.

00:12:22.000 These kids know.

00:12:23.000 They're using ChatGPT to write their essays.

00:12:27.000 They're using Grok to answer questions.

00:12:32.000 Nobody knows what the impact of AI will be, but it will be immense.

00:12:37.000 It could be really good.

00:12:38.000 It could be really bad.

00:12:40.000 But they know it.

00:12:41.000 These 19-year-olds on campus know that they are going to be disrupted.

00:12:46.000 Despite all the ranting about trans stuff and open borders, when AI... 0.52

00:12:53.000 And that topic gets surfaced, they listen intently.

00:12:58.000 We know that it will replace a lot of jobs, but also could destroy a lot of expertise.

00:13:04.000 What if nobody young knows how to write an essay anymore?

00:13:07.000 That's the future that we are barreling towards.

00:13:09.000 What if nobody knows how to do their own research?

00:13:11.000 What if nobody knows how to think critically?

00:13:14.000 What if nobody knows how to code?

00:13:15.000 AI could basically destroy the expertise of a generation.

00:13:20.000 However, the jobs that are a little AI-proof for now, until robotics do them, but honestly, robotics is still way far out from replacing these jobs.

00:13:28.000 Human dexterity is going to be the hardest thing for AI to replace.

00:13:34.000 And being conservative is very AI-proof amusingly, so we have job protection here on The Charlie Kirk Show.

00:13:41.000 Just reading the news every day, I told this to a certain guy on CNBC.

00:13:46.000 I said, you know that AI is going to take your job soon.

00:13:48.000 Wonderful piece here from the Wall Street Journal.

00:13:50.000 I had them printed out for us, but here's in the Wall Street Journal.

00:13:54.000 High school juniors with $70,000 a year job offers.

00:13:59.000 Companies with shortages of skilled workers look to shop class to recruit future hires.

00:14:05.000 Quote, like I'm an athlete getting all the attention from all these pro teams.

00:14:09.000 This is not people with sociology degrees.

00:14:12.000 This is not people studying communications.

00:14:14.000 This is not people studying North African lesbian poetry.

00:14:18.000 No, it is high school juniors with $70,000 a year job offers.

00:14:24.000 In Philadelphia, Elijah Rios won't graduate high school until next year, but he already has a job offer, one that pays $68,000 a year.

00:14:33.000 Rios, 17 years old, is a junior taking welding class at a Catholic high school.

00:14:37.000 Employers are dealing with a shortage of workers as baby boomers retire.

00:14:41.000 They've increasingly begun courting high school students like Rios.

00:14:44.000 By the way, this is why we should not import cheap labor.

00:14:48.000 This is a perfect example.

00:14:50.000 If you import a bunch of cheap labor, yes, companies get labor for less, but then Rios would not be offered $70,000 a year.

00:14:59.000 It's a perfect example of you restrict the labor market and high schoolers benefit. 0.99

00:15:05.000 Now, mind you, Rios does not need to go to college.

00:15:09.000 He doesn't need to get a four-year degree.

00:15:11.000 There are 11 million job openings right now where you can work with your hands.

00:15:15.000 It's the muscular-type labor that pay more than a living wage. 0.90

00:15:20.000 $68,000 a year.

00:15:21.000 I know a lot of people that would want a job for $68,000 a year.

00:15:24.000 At age 18, no college debt, no indoctrination, no lazy river.

00:15:32.000 $70,000 a year.

00:15:34.000 Jenny Cantrell, 18, is working at Conestrano, a plumbing and HVAC mechanical contractor, hosted her in a summer camp in Massachusetts.

00:15:43.000 She credits the camp for piquing her interest in plumbing and accepted Castorano's job offer without looking elsewhere.

00:15:49.000 Quote, I already had that connection, she says.

00:15:52.000 That's right.

00:15:52.000 This is a long piece in the Wall Street Journal that details how now kids are getting high, high-paying jobs in the trades.

00:16:02.000 If you can make $70,000 right out of high school right now, you most certainly should not go to college.

00:16:06.000 And it's not just tuition, but it's your time as well.

00:16:08.000 It's the compound interest of the extra earnings of those four years.

00:16:11.000 But let me tell you the biggest problem.

00:16:13.000 The biggest problem is not the kids.

00:16:15.000 The biggest problem is not the trades.

00:16:16.000 It's all of you listening right now that are parents that are afraid and ashamed of turning to your neighbors and saying that my kid is a welder.

00:16:23.000 You as a suburban parent think that you are a failure if your kid does not go to University of Iowa.

00:16:30.000 You as a suburban parent think that your kid is a failure if it doesn't go to CU Boulder.

00:16:34.000 That if you turn to your neighbors and turn to your relatives and you have Christmas and Thanksgiving and they say, oh, what is Elijah doing?

00:16:40.000 Oh, Elijah's a welder.

00:16:42.000 They'll scoff.

00:16:43.000 They'll look as if you failed or you fell short.

00:16:45.000 Parents, stop making decisions based on the social currency from snobbish, elitist, left-wing socialites that act as if you need to make your decisions because you don't have the...

00:16:59.000 Stanford mom bumper sticker on your Lexus.

00:17:03.000 Instead, you should say, my kid has a $70,000 a year job with no debt, working with his hands, not indoctrinated, and he loves the country.

00:17:12.000 Your kid is trans.

00:17:14.000 I win.

00:17:17.000 Ask 10 people to define the word capitalism.

00:17:19.000 How many different responses do you think you'll get?

00:17:22.000 This is a word that comes up all the time, but does anyone know what it really means?

00:17:26.000 Do you?

00:17:27.000 Hillsdale College offers more than 40 free online courses.

00:17:30.000 That's right, free online courses on subjects like the Book of Genesis, the rise and fall of the Roman Empire, the history of the ancient Christian church.

00:17:38.000 It's hard for me to even say which is my personal favorite.

00:17:41.000 You guys have got to take these online courses.

00:17:43.000 They've recently launched a new course, Understanding Capitalism, that I've been watching.

00:17:47.000 In seven lectures, you'll learn about the role of profit and loss, how human nature plays a part in our economic system, why capitalism depends on private property rights, the rule of law, and above all, freedom, and why capitalism is ultimately a system that encourages morality rather than undermines it.

00:18:03.000 Right now, go to charlieforhillsdale.com to enroll.

00:18:07.000 There's no cost, and it's easy to get started.

00:18:09.000 That's charlieforhillsdale.com to register.

00:18:11.000 C-H-A-R-L-I-E for Hillsdale.com.

00:18:16.000 Right now there is a conclave happening in Rome.

00:18:19.000 Now, I am not Catholic, but I have great reverence for the Catholic Church and for Catholics.

00:18:24.000 And some of our audience is Catholic, some of our audience is not Catholic.

00:18:27.000 But this should matter to everybody.

00:18:28.000 This is arguably the most high-profile religious official on the planet.

00:18:35.000 It involves geopolitics, it involves issues of morality, and helping us to unpack that.

00:18:41.000 It's John Yep, who runs Catholics for Catholics.

00:18:45.000 He is live from Rome.

00:18:47.000 John, great to see you.

00:18:49.000 Thank you for taking the time.

00:18:50.000 First, educate our audience on what is a conclave, who is voting, and what can we expect?

00:18:56.000 Great to finally be on the Charlie Kirk Show.

00:18:58.000 What a way to do it.

00:18:59.000 Right here from Rome with an incredible view of St. Peter's Basilica behind me.

00:19:04.000 You mentioned conclave.

00:19:06.000 Latin word for key.

00:19:08.000 So what just happened about two hours ago, 136 men journeyed over to the Sistine Chapel designed by Michelangelo.

00:19:16.000 They locked themselves in.

00:19:18.000 All their electronics were taken from them.

00:19:21.000 And what are they doing?

00:19:22.000 They don't come out.

00:19:23.000 Those cardinals don't come out until they, with the God of the Spirit, choose the man that will lead two billion Catholics around the world.

00:19:32.000 So that's what a conclave is.

00:19:33.000 This is a tradition that goes back almost really to the foundation of the church 2,000 years ago, and it's a special moment for Christians and non-Christians alike around And so they're going to meet.

00:19:44.000 What exactly happens in these deliberations?

00:19:47.000 And what is the process?

00:19:51.000 And this is very rare, right?

00:19:53.000 I mean, this is only the third time in my lifetime that such a conclave is occurring.

00:19:58.000 It is rare.

00:19:59.000 So what's happened?

00:20:00.000 Obviously, we know that Pope Francis died the day after Easter, right after J.D. Vance and him had that special moment together that way.

00:20:08.000 And then these past two weeks have been extremely, extremely important, Charlie, because, you know...

00:20:12.000 Even if you're not Catholic, you probably understand that we've had a pontificate under Pope Francis, which has genuinely created a lot of scandal for Christians across the world.

00:20:22.000 There's been a lot of just obfuscation on Catholic doctrine and biblical principles.

00:20:28.000 And it's been a time these past two weeks for the Catholic faithful to voice...

00:20:32.000 Their concerns, which they have in abundance, to these men and let them know we want to return to orthodoxy.

00:20:39.000 That's been so essential, right?

00:20:41.000 So these cardinals have spent the last two weeks hearing and meeting on their own.

00:20:45.000 This is actually the first time that they have been gathered together in roughly 10 years, so they themselves have also had time to get to know each other.

00:20:53.000 But now it's up to them.

00:20:55.000 Like I said, there's no electronics.

00:20:56.000 They've cut themselves off from the outside world, and it's time to listen.

00:21:00.000 You know, I will say, Charles, If you're not Catholic, you'll be like, wait, great, so what is this? 0.90

00:21:06.000 This is like John 21 being lived out right before your eyes.

00:21:09.000 That moment when Christ told Peter, he told him two verbs.

00:21:13.000 He told him, I want you to feed my sheep, bosque from Greek, and I want you to shepherd, poimane. 0.95

00:21:19.000 Feed and shepherd the sheep.

00:21:21.000 Christ needed Peter to do that.

00:21:23.000 So what these men are going to be doing, they're going to be choosing...

00:21:27.000 That successor of Peter to continue to lead to administer the Catholic flock around the world.

00:21:32.000 So let's talk about some of the concerns.

00:21:34.000 Pope Francis was not necessarily well-received by all Catholics, and I just know from Catholics I know, like Taylor Marshall or Jack Posobiec, privately and publicly, Michael Knowles, they definitely would have some objections with some of his statements.

00:21:52.000 What are you looking for in the next Pope?

00:21:55.000 What do you think could be improved upon?

00:21:57.000 And who are the frontrunners?

00:21:59.000 Cardinal Mueller is the former head of the doctrine of the faith.

00:22:02.000 He had a great statement.

00:22:03.000 He said, look, people, this is not about conservatives or progressives.

00:22:06.000 What we want is either an orthodox or we want a non-heterodox cardinal or a pope.

00:22:11.000 In other words, we want someone that's faithful to traditions of what we believe for 2,000 years.

00:22:16.000 You had Pope Francis who, you know, he danced with traditional things like the blessing of same-sex marriages on the geopolitical scale.

00:22:23.000 He signed that horrendous deal with the, yes, Chinese Communist Party, which really sold out the underground church over there and gave the power to the Chinese communists, that ability to name bishops, something that's never been done, Charlie, in 2,000 years.

00:22:40.000 So what are we looking for?

00:22:41.000 We're looking for someone who's going to be what the popes are supposed to be.

00:22:45.000 There's a Latin title for them, Pontifex Maximus.

00:22:48.000 That literally means greatest bridge builder.

00:22:50.000 A bridge builder for what?

00:22:52.000 Between God and Jesus Christ.

00:22:54.000 The day we fail to mention that name over and over again.

00:22:58.000 It's the day that we have failed as a Christian religion, okay? 1.00

00:23:02.000 So that's what we're looking for in a pope, and also just even on a geopolitical scale.

00:23:06.000 You know, Charlie, you and I grew up in a time where we lived with John Paul II and Ronald Reagan.

00:23:11.000 Look what they were able to do to bring down the Iron Curtain, okay?

00:23:15.000 Think big.

00:23:16.000 Imagine if we had a pope who was extremely supportive and understood, yes, the biblical principles of a border, right?

00:23:23.000 And what he could do to help President Trump and support him.

00:23:27.000 We're back in our country.

00:23:28.000 That's just a small, right?

00:23:31.000 So that's what Christians have gathered all around the world here.

00:23:34.000 The streets are literally packed, Charlie, right down here, and praying that we get the man that is best to lead the church.

00:23:40.000 So let me ask you this, which is that popes in the past have had serious involvement in geopolitical matters.

00:23:50.000 Pope John Paul II, famously the Polish pope, visited...

00:23:59.000 He spoke out crisply and repeatedly against Soviet communism.

00:24:07.000 He was an anti-communist figure in a time where the world was in a time for choosing.

00:24:15.000 John Paul II framed what could be called Marxist materialism as very dehumanizing Soviet totalitarianism.

00:24:27.000 In today's time, we are seeing the excesses of modernity.

00:24:31.000 What I, as a non-Catholic, would love to see is a pope who speaks out about the increase in secularization, the downfall of Western values, the need to be able to grow closer to the divine.

00:24:45.000 I think we're in a similar but different time.

00:24:48.000 When we saw with John Paul II where the enemy was Soviet communism, we now have the rise of the Chinese Communist Party.

00:24:54.000 We have the West deciding to basically commit slow motion suicide.

00:24:59.000 Talk about how popes can be even more than the head of a Catholic church, but also be a spiritual force for good internationally.

00:25:09.000 When you look at a pope and make the determination, how geopolitical should he be?

00:25:13.000 Should he be involved in politics?

00:25:15.000 It's almost the same question, which you challenge your audience all the time, Charlie.

00:25:18.000 If you are truly living out of your faith, that faith has got to leave.

00:25:23.000 The church doors and we'll touch concrete realities of human existence, i.e.

00:25:27.000 the political realm, right, to a degree. 0.98

00:25:30.000 You know, and you've rightly called out some pastors, priests, or whatever that have remained on the sidelines in the name of neutrality, but that's ridiculous, you know, because you're neither hot nor cold, I'll spew you out of my mouth. 0.98

00:25:43.000 So, a person, a Christian... 0.95

00:25:46.000 Sets out first and foremost with the desire to love the Lord and get souls to heaven.

00:25:52.000 If he has that as his number one intention, he will have a geopolitical effect, right?

00:26:00.000 It's going to overflow.

00:26:02.000 That love to help people find the truth, the truth will set you free, will touch the realities of human existence.

00:26:09.000 So this has to be done.

00:26:11.000 I mean, we have a world that's on fire right now.

00:26:13.000 And President Trump, he needs all Christian leaders, but specifically the leadership of the Catholic Church, which has been such a central figure in the last...

00:26:26.000 Well, you know, 2,000 years from civilization.

00:26:28.000 We need that.

00:26:29.000 That moral compass on the world stage the past 12 years.

00:26:33.000 Hats off to President Trump for going here two weeks ago to be there for the funeral, to give that sign of respect for the office of the Pope.

00:26:41.000 But it's time.

00:26:42.000 You know, we need that moral compass, and we need shepherds in this country, Catholic, especially Catholic.

00:26:47.000 I'm speaking for myself.

00:26:49.000 We need Catholic priests and bishops who are going to be bold.

00:26:52.000 It is not enough to be good, because evil happens when good and good.

00:26:55.000 I love that.

00:27:09.000 So hopefully we'll get a papal announcement soon.

00:27:13.000 Explain the smoke.

00:27:15.000 What happens when we get an announcement?

00:27:16.000 Usually there's a lot of pomp and circumstance.

00:27:19.000 And for non-Catholics out there, can you explain all of the pageantry? 1.00

00:27:24.000 A lot of evangelicals will look at the pageantry and they'll kind of cringe, I'll be honest.

00:27:29.000 They'll say, come on, is this really what Jesus wanted?

00:27:32.000 And I have a mixed opinion on it.

00:27:34.000 I think that we should do great and grand things in the honor of our Lord.

00:27:37.000 I think that we should, you know, take it from the Old Testament that building beautiful temples is important.

00:27:42.000 Two minutes, John.

00:27:43.000 Touch on all of that, both the pageantry and the timeline.

00:27:47.000 First of all, if you have critiques, good for you.

00:27:50.000 Speak it up.

00:27:51.000 We need it.

00:27:51.000 We need to be challenged in our faith to be able to talk it back.

00:27:54.000 Pageantry, it's not insane evil, right?

00:27:57.000 Even in the inauguration, you look at all the...

00:27:59.000 Pageantry around that.

00:28:00.000 That's what makes it special, the special moment.

00:28:02.000 We, as a human culture, we need to celebrate, right?

00:28:06.000 So we will see some of that.

00:28:08.000 The tradition of the white smoke, that goes back to, you know, almost to 1247 when they started sending smoke signals out, right?

00:28:14.000 Because it was so important that these men not be unduly influenced by worldly powers.

00:28:18.000 They had to have a way to kind of send out a message outside that we have a Pope.

00:28:23.000 So when the white smoke comes up, which, you know, probably it's going to be Friday or so.

00:28:27.000 It should be a short conclave.

00:28:28.000 The Pope, about 45 minutes later, the Pope will step out and he will give a blessing, urbe at orbe, Latin for to the city and to the world.

00:28:37.000 It's a blessing for all of humanity to offer his benediction, right?

00:28:42.000 So you'll see that in the next few days.

00:28:45.000 It's a special moment if you can, you know, John, thank you for your time.

00:29:03.000 We pray that you have a safe and successful trip to Rome.

00:29:07.000 I don't know where you guys are all staying.

00:29:09.000 I have to ask you, because I mean, George Farmer's going there.

00:29:13.000 I think, you know, Jack Posobiec is there.

00:29:16.000 Do you guys have some sort of, like, Airbnb arrangement?

00:29:19.000 I can't imagine logistically how this works.

00:29:22.000 Super quick, 20 seconds.

00:29:23.000 Spend five years in Rome, Charlie.

00:29:25.000 Here's the deal.

00:29:26.000 Everything is possible in Italy with la matizia, with the friendship, okay?

00:29:30.000 So if you know people, though, the right person, it's like D.C. times 10, right?

00:29:34.000 So we got a good place right over here, great view behind us, and if you can make it to Rome, I highly encourage you to do so.

00:29:43.000 Thanks, Charlie, for covering this important topic.

00:29:45.000 I know so many people that are in Rome.

00:29:47.000 I say, where are you guys all staying?

00:29:49.000 It's like impossible.

00:29:50.000 John, thank you so much.

00:29:54.000 What does a mechanic and auto shop owner in Georgia, a taco restaurant operator in Arizona, and a life-saving medical innovator in Tennessee have in common?

00:30:02.000 They're all small business owners, and they're all thriving on TikTok.

00:30:06.000 Across the U.S., over 7.5 million businesses, from family-owned shops to entrepreneurs, are using TikTok to compete and grow.

00:30:13.000 We use TikTok all the time on The Charlie Kirk Show.

00:30:15.000 In fact, 74% of businesses on TikTok say TikTok has allowed them to scale their operations, increasing sales, and expanding to new locations.

00:30:24.000 And that growth means jobs.

00:30:25.000 Today, there's over 7.5 million U.S. businesses on TikTok employing more than 28 million people.

00:30:30.000 And that number keeps growing.

00:30:32.000 small businesses thrive on TikTok.

00:30:33.000 Learn more about TikTok's contribution to the U.S. economy at tiktok economicimpact.com.

00:30:42.000 So yesterday we had a rock star event at San Francisco State University, as you all know.

00:30:47.000 Afterwards, Riley Gaines went up to Seattle to speak at our Turning Point USA chapter at University of Washington.

00:30:54.000 And Riley Gaines and her supporters and the supporters of Turning Point USA had feces thrown at them by Antifa supporters.

00:31:04.000 Antifa is in full force in Seattle.

00:31:07.000 And literal...

00:31:09.000 Human feces was thrown in protest of Turning Point USA at the University of Washington.

00:31:14.000 Now, of course, that's disgusting, but I have to make this point. 0.99

00:31:18.000 If one human being wearing a MAGA hat threw poop at a black woman, the entire country would shut down. 0.99

00:31:30.000 It's all that we would talk about for a month. 0.99

00:31:34.000 Every conservative would have to then mention it, comment about it.

00:31:39.000 And disavow it.

00:31:41.000 Corporations would then be forced to donate money to black justice organizations. 0.97

00:31:46.000 And then I would have to go on campus and talk about how, why, a singular person wearing a MAGA hat threw poop at a black woman.

00:31:56.000 Now, will they have a hate crime investigation against them?

00:32:00.000 Of course not.

00:32:01.000 Approximately 150 people showed up to protest Gaines and Olivia Kroschlek.

00:32:06.000 Speaking out against biological men competing in women's sports. 0.86

00:32:09.000 Understand what they were protesting.

00:32:12.000 Why is it that they were throwing feces at Riley Gaines?

00:32:18.000 Because Riley Gaines does not want men in female sports. 1.00

00:32:23.000 This is a Democrat militia, is what this is.

00:32:26.000 And we're just thankful that they weren't as violent as they usually are.

00:32:30.000 Let's play some of the B-roll here.

00:32:31.000 The protesters at the Riley Gaines event.

00:32:34.000 These are disordered, troubled people.

00:32:37.000 This is pure insane asylum stuff.

00:32:40.000 I don't say this lightly.

00:32:41.000 The type of people that are in black block, by the way, they're getting heavier. 0.99

00:32:45.000 You see that?

00:32:46.000 Antifa used to be way skinnier.

00:32:47.000 They got to go on Ozempic.

00:32:49.000 Jeez.

00:32:51.000 What is going on there?

00:32:53.000 They got to get their steps in.

00:32:54.000 You know, when I was fighting Antifa like six or seven years ago, they were far thinner.

00:32:59.000 Someone's got to give them some sort of weight loss jug. 1.00

00:33:03.000 They're Antifa, but they're not anti-fat.

00:33:06.000 They used to be really wiry, Antifa, like almost as skinny as a pencil.

00:33:10.000 Let's show that again of Antifa.

00:33:12.000 They're really putting on the pounds there.

00:33:14.000 They went through a whole new recruitment spree the last couple of years.

00:33:18.000 The old Antifa folks were like really fidgety, like they were on meth.

00:33:22.000 And now, basically, I guess, yeah, woof.

00:33:27.000 Are you sure she's not like a right guard for the Seahawks or something?

00:33:32.000 That's...

00:33:32.000 That is a whole new aesthetic.

00:33:37.000 I'm not used to that.

00:33:39.000 Usually it was like people tweaking on the side of the road that they say, Harrison Blackbock, put this on.

00:33:43.000 Here's a piece of wood.

00:33:45.000 Go throw it at Riley Gaines. 1.00

00:33:47.000 But understand this. 0.89

00:33:48.000 The left, despite all of their nice-sounding euphemisms, the left is a profoundly ugly movement. 0.81

00:33:56.000 They are the party of sweet-sounding euphemisms that cloak the ugly, The profane and the vile. 0.75

00:34:04.000 And interestingly, earlier in the day, a woman showed up to our event and took a MAGA hat and decided to go wipe her tail with it.

00:34:14.000 You can fill in the blanks.

00:34:16.000 They have an obsession with feces in a very strange way.

00:34:20.000 It's maybe because the feces are the closest thing to their worldview.

00:34:23.000 They have similarity with it.

00:34:25.000 They grow close to it. 0.97

00:34:27.000 Because their worldview actually stinks.

00:34:29.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.

00:34:30.000 Email us as always, freedom at charliekirk.com.

00:34:32.000 Thanks so much for listening, and God bless.
