00:00:00.000 Hey everybody, today's Charlie Kirk Show.
00:00:02.000 Where is the backlash that we have been hearing about?
00:00:04.000 Is it coming?
00:00:06.000 Can we count on it?
00:00:07.000 Email me your thoughts, freedom at charliekirk.com.

00:00:17.000 That is tpusa.com.
00:00:18.000 Turningpointusa is on the front lines, tpusa.com.
00:00:23.000 Get involved with turningpointusa, tpusa.com.
00:00:26.000 Buckle up, everybody, here we go.
00:00:28.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
00:00:30.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus.
00:00:32.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
00:00:36.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
00:00:39.000 I want to thank Charlie.
00:00:40.000 He's an incredible guy.
00:00:41.000 His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA.
00:00:50.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:00:58.000 That's why we are here.
00:01:01.000 Brought to you by my friends, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage, 888, 888, 1172 or AndrewandTodd.com.
00:01:12.000 Is this going to backfire?
00:01:14.000 That is the opening question I want to ask you.
00:01:17.000 I've been hearing that for quite some time, and I think people mean well when they say that.
00:01:23.000 But for the last couple of years, ever since Biden was implemented as president of the United States, I have been hearing, well, Charlie, this is going to backfire.
00:01:33.000 The trillions of dollars of spending, this will backfire.
00:01:35.000 The open border, that is going to backfire.
00:01:38.000 The environmental fanaticism, this is going to backfire.
00:01:41.000 The raiding on Mar-a-Lago, this is going to backfire.
00:01:45.000 The spying on moms and dads, school boards, that's going to backfire.
00:01:52.000 And I wonder, has it?
00:01:54.000 Will it?
00:01:56.000 Now, I'm not trying to be too cynical.
00:01:59.000 I'm not trying to discount this too much.
00:02:03.000 But I do wonder why is it that we immediately gravitate towards that talking point?
00:02:10.000 For a while, we've been hearing, well, this is the year of the boomerang.
00:02:13.000 Things are going to come around back to normal.
00:02:17.000 And I think it's very tempting to say that because you want to believe the American people are always going to course correct.
00:02:25.000 And we've seen some evidence of it.
00:02:26.000 We've seen Lightfoot removed.
00:02:28.000 We've seen the district attorney of San Francisco removed.
00:02:34.000 But generally, where was the backfire against the COVID lockdowns?
00:02:40.000 Who was held accountable politically for that?
00:02:42.000 Was Gretchen Whitmer held accountable for locking down her state?
00:02:46.000 Was J.B. Pritzker held accountable for locking down Illinois?
00:02:49.000 Was Gavin Newsom held accountable?
00:02:52.000 The answer is sadly no.
00:02:54.000 And that's not to say that people can never be held accountable and there is not an equal and opposite reaction bubbling up.
00:03:00.000 But what I am saying is we have to resist the talking point that just because something unjust happens, there will be a guarantee of a political backlash.
00:03:13.000 That is not the way politics works.
00:03:16.000 There's opportunities for it.
00:03:18.000 It presents a chance.
00:03:20.000 There's an opening.
00:03:22.000 But I think we as conservatives see things that are so out of alignment with reality and normalcy.
00:03:28.000 And so we had a wonderful Turning Point USA event last night.
00:03:31.000 And some of our generous supporters said, well, Charlie, you know, if they arrest Trump, this is going to backfire and this is really going to wake people up.
00:03:37.000 And I said, well, explain that to me.
00:03:40.000 I said, what do you mean?
00:03:42.000 They said, well, people are going to see that, you know, we really are living in an unfree country and we're going to win big in 2024.
00:03:50.000 I said, well, that's what's going to convince them, the perp walk of Donald Trump.
00:03:54.000 Like, all of a sudden, they're going to be like, wow, this is a bridge too far.
00:03:58.000 If that's true, then the Mar-a-Lago raid would have helped us in the midterms, and it didn't.
00:04:06.000 Remember, the Brett Kavanaugh stuff was supposed to help us, or the Kyle Rittenhouse stuff.
00:04:11.000 It turns out that, yeah, there might be some backlash, especially if there's local rioting.
00:04:16.000 I think there is some backfiring that can happen there.
00:04:18.000 The truth is this: most people do not watch the news and consume it daily.
00:04:23.000 And most people don't even remember it a couple months ago.
00:04:25.000 It's so short-lived.
00:04:27.000 The shelf life of an American news cycle perishes.
00:04:31.000 The expiration date is very, very soon.
00:04:36.000 It's like a 30-day shelf life, a 15-day shelf life.
00:04:39.000 10 days ago, we were talking about bank collapses, and now that's kind of gone.
00:04:43.000 When was the last time we talked about East Palestine, Ohio?
00:04:46.000 That came and that went really quick.
00:04:50.000 We do this every single day.
00:04:52.000 This is my full-time job in addition to running Turning Point USA.
00:04:58.000 Doing three hours of radio every day, hosting podcasts and interviews.
00:05:02.000 I read newspapers.
00:05:04.000 I dive into this stuff.
00:05:05.000 We do hours of research.
00:05:06.000 Our team does dozens of hours of research a week to prepare a program for you.
00:05:12.000 And it's hard for us to remember all the stories.
00:05:15.000 The Biden classified document scandal.
00:05:19.000 How about this?
00:05:20.000 The Speaker of the House fight.
00:05:21.000 Remember that?
00:05:22.000 That was just 45 days ago.
00:05:24.000 Chinese balloons.
00:05:25.000 Where's the backlash against Chinese balloons?
00:05:27.000 What I'm getting at is there is no guarantee that just because the left overreaches, that they're going to awaken a sleeping giant.
00:05:38.000 In fact, I think I want to venture a guess that the more we think that there is some sort of a boomerang effect, the less we fight.
00:05:48.000 I think that actually it is dangerous and deeply unhelpful.
00:05:54.000 In fact, I think it is damaging to our movement to act as if things will automatically kind of come back in our direction.
00:06:03.000 The crazier the news cycle is, the less likely a boomerang is possible.
00:06:08.000 There's too many different stories.
00:06:09.000 The cycle is too quick.
00:06:11.000 Social media, viral videos.
00:06:15.000 People that are scandalized one month just kind of come back onto the scene the next month.
00:06:19.000 We're like, well, I guess they got through it.
00:06:23.000 So therefore, it takes work.
00:06:25.000 You might say, well, Charlie, what's going to take?
00:06:27.000 It's actually going to take us less about thinking that the news cycle is going to determine and dictate political outcomes that we find to be favorable.
00:06:35.000 And we have to do the work to build the infrastructure, long-term infrastructure.
00:06:40.000 And that's what the left has done.
00:06:41.000 The digital age, especially with the mainstream press and this nonsense that they're peddling, has the ability to kill the boomerang.
00:06:50.000 Where was the boomerang against masking children?
00:06:55.000 Our movement is more aware and awake, but we need to channel that information into action.
00:07:00.000 And I'll be honest, I used to believe in the promise of the inevitable boomerang.
00:07:05.000 I'm like, oh, people aren't going to take this.
00:07:07.000 They're going to reach a boiling point.
00:07:09.000 And there's a little bit of that.
00:07:11.000 But basically, people vote on inflation, economy, maybe abortion, if you're an upper-middle-class woman.
00:07:20.000 Maybe.
00:07:21.000 The border is kind of abstract to most people.
00:07:24.000 There is some boomerang on the trans stuff, but it took a ton of effort and it just doesn't happen.
00:07:29.000 That's the point.
00:07:30.000 It took documentaries, it took protests, it took challenging powerful people.
00:07:35.000 It took hundreds of hours of advocacy on programs like ours.
00:07:39.000 It took Tucker Carlson diving into the issue.
00:07:41.000 It took books.
00:07:42.000 It took op-eds.
00:07:43.000 It took commentary.
00:07:44.000 It took outside groups.
00:07:45.000 It took nonprofit groups.
00:07:47.000 How did the Democrats get mileage out of Dobbs?
00:07:49.000 The boomerang didn't happen automatically.
00:07:52.000 They spent hundreds of millions of dollars of ads.
00:07:54.000 So why am I building this out?
00:07:55.000 I'm building it out because I don't want you to be passive and to be a spectator, acting as if you're saying, well, this thing's about to turn around because they've overreached and it's coming back in our direction.
00:08:09.000 And you might not believe that.
00:08:11.000 You might think that's silly.
00:08:12.000 But boy, that certainly is the attitude I've been receiving in your emails from many of you and also the event that we had yesterday.
00:08:20.000 And look here, the media just has to run enough interference and smokescreen.
00:08:24.000 This Politico article is extraordinary.
00:08:26.000 I mean, this woman, Erica Orden, I don't know who she is, but she would have been a perfect member of the Pravda publication during the Soviet Union.
00:08:37.000 It is so unbelievably intellectually dishonest.
00:08:40.000 I thought this was a daily cost blog.
00:08:43.000 I had to read and reread the headline because I couldn't tell if this was Daily Costs or Babylon B. Politico article.
00:08:55.000 By the book, district attorney confronts unpredictable opponent in Trump.
00:09:03.000 What editor at Politico approved this headline?
00:09:06.000 Buy the book?
00:09:10.000 This is one of the most radical soft on crime, okay with violence in the streets as New York deteriorates.
00:09:20.000 Buy what book exactly?
00:09:24.000 They call him buy one book just one day after a memo where he ordered prosecutors to just invent a new law.
00:09:32.000 He issued a memo to not prosecute tons of crimes, ignoring prostitution, ignoring theft, ignoring violence.
00:09:42.000 And then they say he's politics averse.
00:09:44.000 This is Politico.
00:09:46.000 So when I say there might not be a backlash or we can't count on it, it's because the media does this and people say, well, you know, Alvin Bragg is by the book and he's politics averse.
00:09:56.000 This Erica Ordin person for Politico, I mean, she should be ashamed, obviously.
00:10:04.000 I'm shocked.
00:10:06.000 It takes a lot from me to be shocked that anybody at Politico would publish this rubbish.
00:10:13.000 Shows where you're at.
00:10:14.000 Justice reforms have forced prosecutors to toss out 69% of New York City criminal cases.
00:10:21.000 But she says, well, he's by the book.
00:10:23.000 We're going to go indict a former president for the first time in American history over a created, fabricated, and just completely new interpretation of criminal law.
00:10:36.000 Do you think a backfire or a backlash or a boomerang is inevitable?
00:10:40.000 Because I've been waiting for it for a couple years, and I'm afraid it's not going to happen automatically.
00:10:45.000 It's only going to happen if we put in the work.
00:10:47.000 Politico says it's by the book.
00:10:49.000 What book exactly?
00:10:50.000 The Communist Manifesto?
00:10:52.000 Politics Averse.
00:10:54.000 DA, how bad is crime in New York City?
00:10:58.000 It'd be one thing if New York was super safe and it was this great city, it would still be an outrageous indictment.
00:11:04.000 Rapes are up 16%.
00:11:06.000 Robberies rose 9.4%.
00:11:09.000 Overall, 3.4% increase in year-to-date major crimes, according to New York Police Department stats.
00:11:15.000 To be fair, on the bright side, the latest numbers show that murders are down, but they're up over the last couple years.
00:11:23.000 So Alvin Bragg, New York City prosecutors, have been forced to toss out 69% of criminal cases while shootings rose 102% and murders rose by 51%.
00:11:36.000 This is a man who wants to become the first prosecutor ever to indict and arrest a former president.
00:11:43.000 And by the way, this is all while an increase at record highs.
00:11:48.000 You have Gian Coloney, an adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, quote: This is the thing that people have to think about.
00:11:57.000 We had a pretty close to a record increase in crime last year.
00:12:03.000 At the same time, overall major crimes are up 35.2% in New York City.
00:12:07.000 Robberies up 25.1%.
00:12:09.000 As I mentioned, rape's up nearly 16%.
00:12:13.000 And he wants to be the first person to indict a former president.
00:12:16.000 In the history of the country, there is no going back from this.
00:12:19.000 And by the way, the left that is cheerleading this, Joe Scarborough and all these people that are saying, oh, yeah, well, a crime is a crime is a crime is a crime.
00:12:26.000 Once we, as conservatives, get our act together and we start indicting Democrats, former president, Democrats, Uniparty Republicans, you guys have lost all of your moral rights to complain.
00:12:39.000 I think it's wrong what's happening here, but I'm not going to forget this, and many conservatives aren't going to forget this if Donald Trump is arrested.
00:12:46.000 As I say, it's time for us to do subpoenas and investigations into the legitimate crimes of the Democrat mafia.
00:12:52.000 We said that yesterday, and it needs to happen.
00:12:54.000 If you have an attorneys general in your state that is not actively investigating one of the members of the Democrat Party, you should ask them, like, why are you not doing this?
00:13:03.000 They're about to indict a former president.
00:13:05.000 All they understand is power, equal and opposite reaction.
00:13:07.000 That's all they understand.
00:13:08.000 It's a deterrent.
00:13:10.000 By the way, Fulton County might indict Donald Trump, the Department of Justice, and we're just supposed to say, well, you know, I really hope everything's fine and we're going to take it.
00:13:17.000 But here's the buried lead that nobody wants to talk about.
00:13:20.000 Republicans are actually cheering on these indictments more than some Democrats.
00:13:28.000 There's a major community of Republicans out there that are quietly snickering and sneering, hoping that Donald Trump actually gets indicted.
00:13:38.000 Like, oh, finally, we can turn the page.
00:13:40.000 Finally, we can get rid of him.
00:13:42.000 Finally, we can move past Donald Trump.
00:13:48.000 When in reality, Donald Trump is just in the way.
00:13:53.000 Donald Trump is just in the way of you, them coming towards you, the people.
00:14:00.000 By the way, if Donald Trump would have all of a sudden took a pivot towards neoliberalism and invade the world and invite the world and keep borders completely and totally wide open, then they would have said, all right, whatever.
00:14:13.000 No, Donald Trump wants to get back to the White House and is making commitments and promises that are a legitimate threat to their internationalist globalist aims and ambitions.
00:14:25.000 There's an entire community of Republicans that are cheering this on, that are hoping this happens.
00:14:32.000 And we're getting a fair amount of emails from you say, well, Charlie, come on, of course there's going to be a backlash.
00:14:37.000 Why are you such a pessimist?
00:14:38.000 I'm a realist.
00:14:40.000 I'm saying, what are you doing?
00:14:42.000 Are you a precinct committeeman?
00:14:43.000 Are you currently homeschooling your kids?
00:14:45.000 Are you trying to help a grandkid to be prevented from being indoctrinated?
00:14:49.000 Have you moved all your money away from left-wing businesses?
00:14:53.000 And maybe you say, well, Charlie, I've done everything I possibly can.
00:14:56.000 Then fine, that's not for you.
00:14:57.000 You've done everything you can.
00:14:58.000 Then I guess you're like us where we travel 300 days a year and we've decided that we want to dedicate.
00:15:03.000 You know, actually, we tallied it.
00:15:04.000 We did 2,780 days of travel the last decade.
00:15:08.000 But maybe you've done everything you possibly can.
00:15:10.000 We're getting a lot of emails.
00:15:11.000 Charlie, stop this.
00:15:12.000 Of course, there's going to be a backlash.
00:15:14.000 That's not a guarantee.
00:15:15.000 It doesn't happen automatically.
00:15:17.000 Instead, the most operative question is: what are we going to do?
00:15:20.000 What is the change we are going to effectuate?
00:15:24.000 Politico writes: in recent weeks, Trump has already sought to paint Bragg as a liberal firebrand.
00:15:30.000 I mean, how does Politico write this stuff?
00:15:32.000 Promoting criticism about his progressive policies on ending the prosecution of minor offenses and curbing jail time for certain crimes.
00:15:40.000 So here's the best solution for Donald Trump: Donald Trump should go to New York and commit a violent felony, and then they would drop all charges.
00:15:49.000 Donald Trump should just go on the subway and mug somebody, and then they would drop all charges and he'd be free to go.
00:15:56.000 Donald Trump should just go loot a department store.
00:15:59.000 Go to a Walgreens and just steal a bunch of stuff.
00:16:02.000 That's almost a guarantee that Alvin Bragg won't come after you.
00:16:08.000 Hey, everybody, Charlie Kirk here.
00:16:09.000 Anyone who thinks they won't need emergency food is not paying attention.

00:17:13.000 There is a chance that they back off.
00:17:17.000 Now, this is just one of several investigations in Donald Trump currently, but there's been a new wrinkle.
00:17:22.000 The entire case is built on the testimony of Michael Cohen.
00:17:28.000 Michael Cohen is not a reputable person at all.
00:17:31.000 Michael Cohen contradicts himself.
00:17:34.000 He's kind of a low-rate criminal, is really what Michael Cohen is.
00:17:41.000 And so on Tucker Carlson's program last evening, I think we have a tape from this.
00:17:46.000 It's pretty amazing.
00:17:47.000 Attorney Costello came out, and because of the waiving of the attorney client privilege, he was able to discuss freely and openly about his relationship with Michael Cohen and how Michael Cohen is materially lying to, quote-unquote, get Trump.
00:18:06.000 It is an interesting question.
00:18:07.000 Is Michael Cohen being incentivized to do this?
00:18:09.000 Is Michael Cohen being paid or threatened to do this?
00:18:13.000 These are legitimate questions, by the way.
00:18:15.000 And also, Jim Jordan is asking a very good question, something that I do suspect, which is, is there a coordinated effort?
00:18:22.000 Is there a quote-unquote get Trump war room?
00:18:26.000 We're going to ask that question in just a second because I think that's actually really interesting.
00:18:30.000 Play cut 22.
00:18:32.000 I called him up after I saw Michael Cohen on TV stating things that he said he was going to tell the grand jury and had told the grand jury that were contrary to what he told us when we first represented him in April of 2018.
00:18:48.000 So I'm sitting at home watching these lies and I said, I've got to do something about it.
00:18:52.000 I don't represent Donald Trump, but I do stand for justice and I think I have a legal obligation to inform both sides.
00:19:00.000 So that's what I did.
00:19:01.000 And so effectively, if you listen to the entire segment, it's a long segment.
00:19:04.000 He went in and he has the emails and the texts and the phone calls and he has a sworn waiving of attorney client privilege, which I don't know why Michael Cohen signed.
00:19:14.000 That's just really bizarre and strange.
00:19:16.000 He's all over the place.
00:19:18.000 And he went right in and to the grand jury and basically said, you can't trust this guy.
00:19:23.000 You can't build a case on this.
00:19:25.000 So the entire case is basically built on Michael Cohen saying Donald Trump had an affair allegedly with Stormy Daniels, and then he wanted to pay hush money payment, which is not illegal, by the way.
00:19:37.000 You might find hush money payment reprehensible.
00:19:40.000 You might not like it.
00:19:40.000 Unfortunately, it's done a lot in politics.
00:19:42.000 It's done a lot in corporate America.
00:19:44.000 I personally don't like it, but it's part of life, and it's not illegal.
00:19:48.000 It's not illegal.
00:19:50.000 So he comes out and he says, just so you know, all of this information here that contradicts Michael Cohen.
00:19:59.000 And now all of a sudden it's been delayed a week.
00:20:03.000 They say, well, it might not be until next week.
00:20:06.000 It might not be until next week.
00:20:07.000 And now Michael Cohen says that Trump is trying to muddy the water.
00:20:10.000 Now, I actually think Trump pulled on a rather very smart public relations lifeline over the weekend.
00:20:22.000 Donald Trump realized that the kind of, they were circling the vultures.
00:20:27.000 And so Donald Trump had a choice to make.
00:20:30.000 He could ignore the news as he have, as he has with all these DAs stuff, or he could basically pre-bunk it.
00:20:37.000 He could call the bluff.
00:20:39.000 He could say, I'm going to be indicted, even though that probably wasn't yet decided.
00:20:44.000 Now, they were leaking stories.
00:20:46.000 They were putting up barricades outside the DA office.
00:20:49.000 But Donald Trump leading it really put the DA's office in a public relations pressure campaign that was very smart for Trump to do.
00:21:00.000 It was the only option he had left.
00:21:02.000 Obviously, he was not able to effectively defend himself in the grand jury situation with his lawyers.
00:21:08.000 So he said, the last thing I have to preserve my name and my reputation and the reputation of his supporters because he's a representation of the supporters in the movement is to play offense and to put them on defense.
00:21:20.000 It was very smart.
00:21:22.000 And basically, he caught the DA a little flat-footed here, and now they've delayed it another week.
00:21:28.000 They still might indict him.
00:21:29.000 They still might arrest him.
00:21:30.000 Michael Cohen calls it muddying the waters, the false attack.
00:21:35.000 It was actually a rather brilliant strategy for the time being.
00:21:38.000 It's the only one that he had left at his disposal because of this unconstitutional Stalinistic indictment looming.
00:21:45.000 Play cut 30.
00:21:47.000 It's a typical Donald J. Trump play out of the playbook.
00:21:52.000 Figure out how you're going to muddy the water as best as you possibly can.
00:21:56.000 Denigrate the person, disparage them.
00:21:58.000 The district attorney has the documentation in order to validate every single statement that I've made and to basically dispel anything that Bob Costello has to say, which is probably, again, why they didn't need me for rebuttal.
00:22:19.000 So he's arguing that this is all a tactic.
00:22:22.000 This is all just a tactic.
00:22:25.000 And in some ways, he might be right.
00:22:26.000 It's Donald Trump pushing back against kind of the public relations narrative.
00:22:31.000 But I want to ask a very important question, which is, is there a kind of a get Trump war room that exists?
00:22:37.000 Is there a war room where there is kind of a central nervous system, if you will, where they're going through the different ways that they can go after Trump?
00:22:47.000 And this is something that Jim Jordan wants to find out.
00:22:50.000 Has Alvin Bragg communicated with the Biden Justice Department?
00:22:59.000 Has Alvin Bragg been talking to other outside district attorneys?
00:23:05.000 Are other people influencing him?
00:23:09.000 Joe Scarborough thinks that Donald Trump is trying to get people to do another January 6th, and now the Justice Department is going to have to hire more people to prosecute him.
00:23:17.000 These people are bloodthirsty.
00:23:19.000 Their meaning is to try to get that picture of him being perp walked.
00:23:25.000 That is their goal.
00:23:27.000 They will feel a sense of accomplishment on MSNBC.
00:23:30.000 Stormy Daniels just came out and she said she'll dance in the streets.
00:23:33.000 No one wants to see that.
00:23:35.000 If Donald Trump gets indicted and arrested.
00:23:39.000 Play cut 31.
00:23:42.000 So, Willie, it's interesting.
00:23:44.000 So the arrests keep coming for January 6th.
00:23:48.000 Trump's trying to get them to do another January 6th today or tomorrow.
00:23:54.000 The Justice Department's going to have to get a bigger boat or at least hire more attorneys if they do it.
00:24:00.000 Joe Scarborough represents a petty but revenge-filled attitude that the media has towards Donald Trump.
00:24:11.000 I want to go to Cut 11.
00:24:12.000 Trump's attorney makes the argument that if there was a crime, it's extortion and Trump is the victim.
00:24:17.000 Play cut 11.
00:24:19.000 The only potential crime here, Mark, is that Donald Trump was an extortion victim.
00:24:23.000 When someone says, give me money or I'm going to tell a nasty story about you, true or not, that's absolutely irrelevant to that equation.
00:24:31.000 True or not, I'm going to tell a story to the press.
00:24:34.000 I'm going to embarrass you, your family, unless you give me money.
00:24:37.000 That's extortion 101.
00:24:39.000 But yet, Donald Trump, the victim of extortion, for the first time in this country's history in the most novel, novel, untested legal theory of prosecution is being subject to a grand jury investigation.
00:24:51.000 This is historic what we're seeing here.
00:24:55.000 And it's been very telling.
00:24:56.000 I've been texting with some establishment Republicans.
00:24:59.000 If you're fired up about this, by the way, you should be super fired up about it.
00:25:02.000 Most Republican establishment folks I talk to are not fired up about this.
00:25:07.000 You know, I had a couple phone calls yesterday with people that are kind of more on the establishment side and we get along well.
00:25:12.000 I said, what do you think about this?
00:25:14.000 And somebody said, well, Charlie, and this is a top kind of Republican donor type, establishment donor guy, and we don't see eye eye in a lot of stuff, but we're still on good terms.
00:25:24.000 He said, Charlie, I know you're not going to like me saying this, but I hope he goes to jail.
00:25:28.000 It'd be good for the conservative movement.
00:25:31.000 He said, I'm done with him.
00:25:32.000 That is an attitude of a lot of Republicans, certainly not in this audience and not with you.
00:25:37.000 But I sure hope you understand that there is a uniparty push for this.
00:25:42.000 There is a demand in Washington, D.C., almost like just get him out of the picture.
00:25:48.000 And what they're really saying is, get those Trump people out of the picture.
00:25:52.000 Get you out of the picture, that you're finally engaged, that you're finally involved.
00:25:58.000 And isn't it curious that the one guy that has diversified and expanded the Republican Party is the one that they want to get rid of the most?
00:26:10.000 And it was very telling.
00:26:13.000 And we'll see in the next couple days.
00:26:15.000 You know, I'm heading to a couple cities.
00:26:18.000 I'm going to Columbus and I'm going somewhere in Florida that definitely has a fair amount of kind of ruling class Republicans.
00:26:24.000 And again, you don't have to agree on everything in life.
00:26:26.000 You can get along on certain things.
00:26:27.000 I just, I'll listen and hear them out.
00:26:30.000 But I'm a little shocked.
00:26:33.000 No, I shouldn't even say that.
00:26:34.000 I'm a little surprised.
00:26:36.000 Shocked is too strong.
00:26:37.000 At how many Republicans who know that this is wrong happening to Trump, they're kind of like shrugging their shoulders and they say, yeah, it's wrong.
00:26:44.000 Yeah, it's an overreach.
00:26:46.000 But I really don't like him.
00:26:49.000 It's very telling.
00:26:51.000 Goes to show the poison that has infected the Republican Party.
00:26:59.000 Look, it is time to consider a rollover of that 401k into an IRA.
00:27:05.000 The investment world is completely different in 2023, and you cannot do the same thing as last year.
00:27:10.000 Woke companies are aggressively implementing ESG.
00:27:14.000 Interest rates are going up and inflation is still lingering.
00:27:17.000 If you have over $150,000, now is the time to move your money to a biblical responsible investing strategy with my friends at PAX Financial Group.
00:27:25.000 Here's how you can connect with PAX.
00:27:27.000 Text Charlie to the number 74868.
00:27:30.000 That's it.
00:27:30.000 Just take out your phone.
00:27:31.000 Text Charlie, C-H-A-R-L-I-E to 74868.
00:27:39.000 So take out your phone.
00:27:40.000 Text Charlie to number 74868 for biblical responsible investing.
00:27:45.000 Text Charlie to 748-68.
00:27:51.000 It's been very interesting to see how few Senate Republicans are speaking out against this.
00:27:59.000 And it just goes to show that many Senate Republicans are in self-preservation mode.
00:28:05.000 They just want their own projects to be protected.
00:28:09.000 They want their own livelihoods to be protected.
00:28:13.000 And there has been a kind of get Trump agenda in the Republican Party for quite some time that they want to turn the page on Trump.
00:28:24.000 And it's not about Trump's bombast.
00:28:27.000 And this is, Matt Walsh had a fabulous tweet the other day.
00:28:30.000 And this is, I could do a whole hour on this.
00:28:32.000 I meant to mention this.
00:28:33.000 So Matt Walsh said, he said, Republicans complain about our candidates' tweets and style.
00:28:40.000 Meanwhile, the Democrats use political power to indict their political opponents.
00:28:46.000 It's such a perfect point.
00:28:48.000 While we're really worried about somebody's style, the other side has become a Stalinistic movement.
00:28:54.000 Yeah, I'm sorry.
00:28:55.000 I'm not really, I don't really care as much about Donald Trump's name calling.
00:28:58.000 I don't like it.
00:29:00.000 We are in a brutal fight for the country.
00:29:04.000 Wake up, everybody.
00:29:06.000 I want to play this piece of tape here.
00:29:10.000 Let's go to Maxine Waters saying Donald Trump is sending out a message to rile up far-right groups to act out on another January 6th play cut 20.
00:29:18.000 This is Donald Trump sending messages out to domestic terrorists that he's worked with and he helped to organize for the invasion of the Capitol on January 5th.
00:29:30.000 He's sending out a message to them to get ready to protest any arrests, indictments, et cetera, that he may have.
00:29:38.000 So he's basically talking to the proud boys, the oath keepers, QAnon, KKK.
00:29:47.000 You got any else you want to add to that?
00:29:49.000 QAnon, KKK, proud boys, oath keepers, 1789 society.
00:29:56.000 Yeah, that's not even a thing.
00:29:57.000 And by the way, now January 6th is no longer an insurrection.
00:30:00.000 It's an invasion now.
00:30:03.000 Forget an insurrection.
00:30:05.000 Didn't you miss the tanks and the Tomahawk missiles on January 6th?
00:30:09.000 If you missed it, you're a bigot, according to Maxine Waters.
00:30:13.000 But the left does not care about style.
00:30:16.000 They care about results.
00:30:17.000 And while Alvin Bragg, I mean, this is such a ridiculous politico piece, and I could go through several others, you have to understand something about the left, which is, yes, the left has cover of their media.
00:30:33.000 But if Alvin Bragg ends up doing this, it is damaging.
00:30:37.000 It is hurtful.
00:30:39.000 It is terrible for the country.
00:30:42.000 And for any establishment Republican out there or anybody out there that is listening to my voice and you say, oh, I don't like Trump and I don't like this.
00:30:50.000 You are cheering for the shredding of America.
00:30:54.000 America is not a place where you lock up political opponents you don't like, especially on petty differences.
00:31:03.000 And by the way, the threshold basically is Hillary Clinton walks for what she did.
00:31:09.000 That's the threshold.
00:31:10.000 George W. Bush walks for what he did.
00:31:12.000 So now, therefore, all those people need to go to jail.
00:31:15.000 If we actually have equal justice, Obama, Biden, Clinton, Comey, Lois Lerner, Eric Colder, it's not going to happen.
00:31:25.000 Fauci, because they want to have a show trial.
00:31:29.000 Hillary Clinton, by the way, quietly settled campaign finance violations last year.
00:31:34.000 She was never arrested.
00:31:36.000 Legitimate campaign finance violations.
00:31:40.000 But if you're a Republican out there and we have a sizable audience and you say, boy, I hate Trump, you need to really have some reflection on that.
00:31:48.000 You need to really think deeply.
00:31:50.000 And I hope that this motivates you to speak out on principle at how outrageous this is.
00:31:56.000 On principle at how these are just conjured up charges.
00:32:04.000 And the argument that is true, but it's overused, to be honest, is, well, if they can do it to Trump, they're going to do it to somebody else.
00:32:13.000 That's a true argument.
00:32:14.000 But if it just is done to anybody unjustly, it should fire you up.
00:32:18.000 Any injustice should prick your soul towards action, period.
00:32:25.000 Not to mention, they're doing this in the arena and the venue where they can find the most humiliation possible for Donald Trump, where he was once the kind of darling of New York City, Woman Rink, Convention Center, Plaza Hotel, doing the Hyatt deal, Trump Tower, massive developer, came in after the World Trade Center, owned golf courses in one of the bureaus, all that sort of stuff.
00:32:50.000 One of the boroughs?
00:32:53.000 They want to humiliate him in the very same place.
00:32:57.000 And I'm troubled, and I hope it changes by the lack of outrage, the lack of energy by too many establishment Republicans on this.
00:33:11.000 They just seem kind of like, well, it's an overreach.
00:33:14.000 It's bad.
00:33:14.000 Let's move on.
00:33:15.000 Let's get back to sending money to Zelensky.
00:33:19.000 If this Rubicon is crossed, and if you don't know what the Rubicon is, the Rubicon is a river in Italy when Julius Caesar, he was deployed up north and was fighting what basically is the Germans or the Goths, won a bunch of wars there, came back down south, and he was given a direct order that if you cross the River Rubicon, it will turn the Roman triumphant into a civil war.
00:33:44.000 And Julius Caesar had to make a decision.
00:33:46.000 He took his troops and he crossed the River Rubicon, and it turned the entire Roman, it was at the time a Roman Republic, into a very bloody civil war that Caesar ended up winning.
00:33:57.000 But that's where we get the term crossing of the Rubicon.
00:34:00.000 They crossed this Rubicon.
00:34:02.000 They crossed this Rubicon.
00:34:04.000 There is no going back.
00:34:09.000 I sure hope they don't for the good of the country, for the good of the promise of the Founding Fathers, that you can go after on petty differences a former president.
00:34:17.000 And if you're out there and you say, I hate Trump, he's the worst, he's all these different things.
00:34:21.000 Well, then I hope you love America.
00:34:23.000 Because this would be an indictment of an American tradition, an American republic, and there would be no going back.
00:34:29.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
