00:00:00.000 Hey everybody, a dark day in America.
00:00:02.000 President Trump has been banned from Twitter.
00:00:04.000 What it means and the consequences surrounding all of this brought to you advertiser-free by those of you that support us at charliekirk.com/slash support.
00:00:14.000 Big episode.
00:00:15.000 Here we go.
00:00:16.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
00:00:18.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campuses.
00:00:20.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
00:00:23.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
00:00:26.000 I want to thank Charlie.
00:00:27.000 He's an incredible guy.
00:00:28.000 His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created.
00:00:35.000 Turning point USA.
00:00:37.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:00:46.000 That's why we are here.
00:00:48.000 Today is a fire alarm for our civilization.
00:00:52.000 President Donald Trump and his 88 million Twitter followers have been permanently banned from Twitter.
00:01:02.000 Twitter came out and said that President Donald Trump is banned from ever using their platform again for, quote, inciting violence.
00:01:13.000 They use the example of President Donald Trump tweeting out that he will not attend the Biden inauguration by baselessly saying that that means that he will plan another violent event as if he planned a violent event in the first place.
00:01:28.000 Why did they do this?
00:01:29.000 Why did Twitter, one of the most valuable companies on the planet, decide to eliminate, digitally assassinate a president of the United States?
00:01:41.000 President Donald Trump is still living and breathing right now.
00:01:46.000 But for all intents and purposes, he's dead to 88 million people on Twitter.
00:01:52.000 Now, you might say that's a little bit too hyperbolic.
00:01:55.000 88 million people no longer can access or see what the president wants to say or is saying when they're trying to go outside of the mainstream media, unfiltered, uncensored.
00:02:11.000 So why did Twitter do this?
00:02:13.000 Why did a small group of hyper-entitled, overeducated people in Menlo Park decide to digitally assassinate the president of the United States?
00:02:28.000 Is it really because they believe he was inciting violence?
00:02:31.000 Of course not.
00:02:34.000 The head of Iran, Khomeini, still has access to his Twitter account, the world's largest funder of terror.
00:02:43.000 You want to talk about inciting violence?
00:02:45.000 How about deploying violence through Hamas and Hezbollah to Israeli children?
00:02:51.000 The Chinese Communist Party still has access to their Twitter account.
00:02:55.000 The one million Muslims in concentration camps in China would say that the Chinese Communist Party was probably inciting violence.
00:03:04.000 Alexandria Akasio-Cortez still has access to her Twitter account for encouraging, live streaming, helping, and assisting the riots and the protests for BLM Incorporated.
00:03:14.000 BLM Incorporated still has access to a Twitter account despite being directly and indirectly connected to terror events all throughout this last summer.
00:03:24.000 Now, some people might say, well, that's just a misallocation of a double standard.
00:03:29.000 We should ban them too.
00:03:32.000 That's not the case.
00:03:35.000 The masters of Menlo Park know that President Donald Trump is not inciting violence.
00:03:40.000 They are using the event on January the 6th at the Capitol as an excuse to implement post-9-11 policies That could infiltrate,
00:03:59.000 censor, monitor anyone on the center right of this country, all because of what happened on January the 6th with professional agitators, far-right-wing ethno-nationalist identitarians, and other unidentified agitators.
00:04:17.000 That's the reason they're telling us that President Donald Trump should be permanently digitally assassinated from Twitter.
00:04:27.000 And with it, half of all of Twitter's daily users followed President Donald Trump on the platform.
00:04:36.000 But so, why are they really doing this?
00:04:40.000 It goes back to what we at Turning Point USA have learned the hard way.
00:04:46.000 The left hates the idea that there are other ideas.
00:04:50.000 If there was a button on a desk to eliminate all conservative opinion, they would push the button.
00:04:56.000 They've just been waiting for an excuse to do this for quite some time.
00:05:01.000 The thing that frustrates the employees at Twitter and Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube more than anything else is that conservative ideas are actually really popular.
00:05:11.000 That conservative ideas actually travel the internet quicker than any other types of content.
00:05:20.000 They realize this the hard way as the social media companies didn't take an aggressive censorship stance in the 2016 election.
00:05:29.000 President Donald Trump never would have won the election if it wasn't for Facebook and for Twitter.
00:05:35.000 The social media companies have been on a four-year self-torturing exercise trying to pay their penance to the liberal community that they are neighbors to, that they dine with, that they go to Christmas parties with, saying that I'm never going to let that happen again.
00:05:52.000 And don't worry, Menlo Park neighbor man that works at Salesforce or Oracle.
00:05:58.000 I'm going to do my part.
00:05:59.000 I'm going to push that button and we're going to make him disappear.
00:06:04.000 This is not something that is totally shocking or surprising.
00:06:09.000 We have been waiting for this as they've been starting to put disclaimers on the president's tweets.
00:06:15.000 But now they crossed the Rubicon.
00:06:19.000 For those of you that don't know what that reference means, it's when Julius Caesar crossed the river, the River Rubicon in Italy, and as soon as he crossed the river, he would officially be declaring civil war.
00:06:34.000 Now, it's interesting that I say that because I'm talking about crossing the metaphorical Rubicon.
00:06:39.000 For those of you that are calling for actual civil war, I have, I believe, thoroughly gone through why that is not the correct option, why that is foolish, and that is not who we are, those of us that want to guard, protect, and preserve Western civilization.
00:06:57.000 What Twitter did here, though, is they declared war on you.
00:07:02.000 What Twitter did here is the most creepy, chilling and offensive domestic move against conservatives, I believe, in American history.
00:07:18.000 Never before has a president that possesses as much power with such a big audience been silenced so quickly for quite honestly a reason that I think is misapplied.
00:07:35.000 There's another reason why they want to do this.
00:07:38.000 And it's actually a deeper, darker, more chilling reason.
00:07:44.000 The reason why they want this, and I mean they, I mean the employees at Twitter and Facebook and the American left, is that it will actually create more conflict.
00:07:56.000 When you censor somebody, will those ideas just go away?
00:08:02.000 When you censor somebody, are their thoughts all of a sudden evaporated?
00:08:11.000 Of course not.
00:08:13.000 When you censor somebody, when you censor somebody, it only makes them more likely to want to pursue deeper, darker, more unproven theories.
00:08:31.000 When you censor somebody, they're more likely to become radicalized.
00:08:36.000 You see, speech is moral, but it also serves a utilitarian purpose.
00:08:42.000 Speech is the only thing that prevents us from tearing each other apart every single day.
00:08:47.000 Speech is how decent civil societies reconcile their differences.
00:08:53.000 You see, there's only two ways to govern people.
00:08:56.000 We've been through this many times here on the Charlie Kirk show: you can govern people by persuasion, reason, and dialogue, or you can govern people using force.
00:09:09.000 Every single governing system in the history of the world can be in one of those two buckets: Soviet Union, force.
00:09:17.000 China, force.
00:09:20.000 England right now, speech and persuasion, for the time being, if you count the lockdowns, could be in either way.
00:09:29.000 But they still have elections.
00:09:32.000 The point is, as soon as you remove speech, you immediately go to force, and that's what they want.
00:09:37.000 The left is disinterested in winning you over.
00:09:40.000 Democrats and the masters of Menlo Park find Donald Trump to be a perpetual annoyance to their power grab.
00:09:48.000 And as long as he can speak, as long as he can challenge, as long as he can throw out new ideas, as long as he can hold people accountable, he is a speed bump, is a wall, is a barrier to them being in charge.
00:10:07.000 But understand what drives the left is more power.
00:10:12.000 Going through the Jacques Derrida, Michelle Foucault, and Herbert Marcuse view of the world, the postmodern world inspired by Friedrich Nietzsche, all they view in this world is a power struggle.
00:10:25.000 Therefore, for them, the highest plane of accomplishment is assuming the most amount of power.
00:10:32.000 Some would even say that that is how you become an Übermensch, as Friedrich Nietzsche would say.
00:10:36.000 More power, higher level of enlightenment.
00:10:41.000 This is nonsense.
00:10:42.000 We as conservatives reject this premise.
00:10:45.000 We believe fulfillment comes through faith, connection to God, preservation of liberty, the creation of the family, the protection and the pursuit of love and beauty, the things that built Western civilization.
00:10:55.000 The left believes in none of that.
00:10:58.000 Joe Biden, the Democrats believe in none of that.
00:11:00.000 They believe in power, political identity, is how you achieve the highest levels of enlightenment.
00:11:09.000 So how do you get a lot of power?
00:11:12.000 That's a question that if I was in front of eighth graders or high school students that are just trying to learn, it's a really good question to ask a young person in your life.
00:11:22.000 How do people get more power?
00:11:25.000 How do they get power quickly?
00:11:27.000 What's the easiest way to get more power?
00:11:30.000 Let's look back in history.
00:11:32.000 What necessitates a stronger centralized government?
00:11:37.000 Chaos.
00:11:39.000 Chaos is the gateway drug to totalitarians taking over your life.
00:11:47.000 Look at 9-11.
00:11:50.000 Chaos.
00:11:51.000 We lost civil liberties after 9-11.
00:11:54.000 We added a new department of the government, Department of Homeland Security.
00:11:59.000 2008 financial crisis, chaos, trillion-dollar stimulus bill, new agencies of government.
00:12:07.000 Every time we lose liberty, every time government grows, it's because of chaos.
00:12:13.000 What if I told you the left wants the radicalism?
00:12:18.000 What if I told you the left wants the American people to think that every single Trump supporter in the world is a window-smashing, capital rotunda, stealing, police officer-fighting person?
00:12:35.000 Why would they do that?
00:12:36.000 Why would they intentionally want to misrepresent it?
00:12:38.000 Answer.
00:12:39.000 It gives them more power.
00:12:41.000 So when you shut up 88 million people, which is exactly what they did with this censorship, people will react in a variety of different ways.
00:12:53.000 Some people will delete the application.
00:12:56.000 Some people will go to Parlor.
00:12:58.000 Some people will go to Rumble.
00:12:59.000 Some people will go to our podcast.
00:13:02.000 Thank you, by the way.
00:13:05.000 Some people are going to get violent.
00:13:07.000 And that's wrong.
00:13:09.000 The left knows exactly what they're doing here.
00:13:16.000 And then when people get violent, the left says, see, I told you so.
00:13:20.000 Look how terrible they are.
00:13:21.000 Give us more power.
00:13:22.000 Give us the authority to go after the Trump hat MAGA wearing, the Trump hat MAGA people.
00:13:34.000 Go after them.
00:13:37.000 The banning and the censorship is just beginning.
00:13:41.000 People are asking us, what can we do about it?
00:13:45.000 The answer is very little at the time being.
00:13:48.000 Your Republican leaders failed you.
00:13:51.000 When they should have been regulating and overseeing these tech companies, they were passing corporate tax carve-outs for them in 2017.
00:14:01.000 This program right here is made possible when you guys support us at charliekirk.com/slash support.
00:14:09.000 And when you subscribe and download our episodes, it keeps us moving and hopefully away from the censors.
00:14:20.000 So where is this headed from here?
00:14:24.000 Vladimir Lenin, when he took over the Soviet Union, enacted something called the Red Terror, where he went after the Mensheviks, anyone that ever opposed him, and he made the streets filled with blood.
00:14:39.000 This is a metaphorical Red Terror.
00:14:41.000 They're in power.
00:14:43.000 They hate Trump supporters.
00:14:45.000 They're upset that we got three Supreme Court justices and 200 circuit court judges.
00:14:49.000 They're upset the embassies in Jerusalem.
00:14:51.000 They're upset the Iran deal got canceled.
00:14:53.000 They're upset that NAFTA got renegotiated.
00:14:55.000 They're upset that their Hegelian march of the institutions got interrupted and they want revenge.
00:15:00.000 And this is their meaning.
00:15:01.000 And they're just getting started.
00:15:02.000 The Red Terror is just beginning.
00:15:05.000 And no one is off limits.
00:15:08.000 Sidney Powell has been kicked off Twitter.
00:15:10.000 Lieutenant General Michael Flynn has been kicked off Twitter.
00:15:14.000 Some people are calling it the purge.
00:15:17.000 Some people are calling it the Red Terror.
00:15:24.000 This is the biggest issue facing our country.
00:15:28.000 And I think you all know that.
00:15:31.000 So here's the action item.
00:15:33.000 Find alternative methods for communication now.
00:15:39.000 This program is one of them.

00:15:53.000 These companies are more powerful than our government, and now they're using this power.
00:16:00.000 The only difference between this and the Soviet Union is this.
00:16:08.000 In the Soviet Union, it was the government controlling the companies.
00:16:12.000 Now it's the companies controlling the government that do the bidding of the most radical demands.
00:16:21.000 And when you can silence the leader of the free world, you can silence anyone.
00:16:29.000 You can shut us all up.
00:16:32.000 And our Republican leaders did nothing to stop this.
00:16:35.000 They could have passed a repeal of Section 230, which would have prevented this, but they did nothing.
00:16:44.000 Something to think about.
00:16:49.000 As of the recording of this podcast, we are still active on social media.
00:16:52.000 We don't know if that is going to continue.
00:16:56.000 And even the more chilling development is that Apple, a hardware company, has come out and said that they are going to kick parlor the Twitter competitor off of their app store.
00:17:08.000 Google already has.
00:17:12.000 So now not only do we have to go create competitors, we have to now create new hardware.
00:17:18.000 These companies are acting in collusion with each other.
00:17:23.000 Partially, this is happening because we lost the Georgia Senate runoff, because many people were lied to to stay at home, and they said, my vote will not matter.
00:17:32.000 Turnout was down in Trump counties, and we lost both Senate seats.
00:17:38.000 If we had U.S. Senators, we would at least have been able to have hearings like we have been in the Senate to be able to cross-examine these companies.
00:17:48.000 But before we get to that, it's important to understand the landscape that we're on.
00:17:52.000 The left and the masters of Menlo Park feel emboldened.
00:17:55.000 They feel empowered.
00:17:57.000 If you take away people's speech, you take away their ideas.
00:18:02.000 You take away their identity.
00:18:05.000 We must regain the speech.
00:18:09.000 More speech, the better.
00:18:13.000 Email us your questions, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:18:16.000 Thank you for supporting us at charliekirk.com/slash support.
00:18:20.000 I don't say this lightly, but this is going to go down as one of the most consequential days in modern American history, arguably more important than even some of the election results.
00:18:34.000 We will be developing ways to handle this and deal with this.
00:18:39.000 Thank you guys for listening.
00:18:40.000 I encourage all of you to subscribe to the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:18:43.000 It helps us stay above the censors, stay above the people that want to shut us all up.
00:18:51.000 There's only two ways to govern people, by force and by speech.
00:18:54.000 We choose speech, they choose force.
00:18:56.000 And I'm going to keep talking until they shut me up.
00:18:59.000 Thanks so much.
00:19:00.000 God bless.
