00:00:03.000 My name is Charlie Kirk.
00:00:05.000 I run the largest pro American student organization in the country fighting for the future of our republic.
00:00:11.000 My call is to fight evil and to proclaim truth.
00:00:14.000 If the most important thing for you is just feeling good, you're going to end up miserable.
00:00:19.000 But if the most important thing is doing good, you will end up purposeful.
00:00:24.000 College is a scam, everybody.
00:00:26.000 You got to stop sending your kids to college.
00:00:27.000 You should get married as young as possible and have as many kids as possible.
00:00:31.000 Go start a Turning Point USA College chapter.
00:00:33.000 Go start a Turning Point USA High School chapter.
00:00:35.000 Go find out how your church can get involved.
00:00:37.000 Sign up and become an activist.
00:00:39.000 I gave my life to the Lord in fifth grade.
00:00:41.000 Most important decision I ever made in my life.
00:00:44.000 And I encourage you to do the same.
00:00:45.000 Here I am.
00:00:46.000 Lord, use me.
00:00:48.000 Buckle up, everybody.
00:00:49.000 Here we go.

00:01:17.000 All right.
00:01:18.000 Welcome, everybody.
00:01:19.000 It is September 16th, 2026.
00:01:21.000 Blake is back in studio.
00:01:23.000 Howdy, Blake.
00:01:23.000 The Green Bay Packers tried to make me so depressed I could never come back, but I did.
00:01:28.000 You're back.
00:01:28.000 I've overcome.
00:01:29.000 You're back, and you're better than ever.
00:01:31.000 So here's we've got a big packed show today.
00:01:36.000 All right.
00:01:36.000 So I want to just kind of lay out.
00:01:38.000 The state of play and how we plan to get through it.
00:01:40.000 Yes, the big breaking news this morning is that the Kirk family has filed a notice of claim.
00:01:46.000 That's not a lawsuit, but it's a notice of intent to file one, and it sort of extends the statute of limitations.
00:01:53.000 We're going to get into all of that at about the halfway mark of this hour.
00:01:57.000 Okay, so we're obviously, I've been dealing with it all morning.
00:02:01.000 I've been doing interviews, and we will explain everything that is in that document, everything that is laid out there, some of the security failures.
00:02:11.000 That happened at UVU and why that is moving forward.
00:02:15.000 But we're going to get to it at the 1230 mark, East Coast.
00:02:17.000 Okay.
00:02:18.000 So hang with us right there.
00:02:20.000 We've got a great expert that's going to be coming on who understands crowd control, that understands security at large events.
00:02:26.000 So we're going to get there in just a minute, in a couple minutes.
00:02:30.000 But first, we're going to get to, and I think this is really important because the news broke while we were on the air yesterday, and that is that Thomas Massey has filed articles of impeachment.
00:02:42.000 Against Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.
00:02:45.000 Now, this caught all of us off guard yesterday.
00:02:48.000 We didn't really know what to make of it, but we now know more.
00:02:52.000 We have more information.
00:02:54.000 And it's kind of what you might expect from a libertarian leaning person like Thomas Massey.
00:03:00.000 Now, he lost his primary.
00:03:01.000 He's on his way out.
00:03:03.000 Obviously, he's making what he feels is the most of his time here.
00:03:07.000 Okay, so what is he alleging that Pete Hegseth has done?
00:03:11.000 So Massey is accusing Hegseth of deliberately killing civilians.
00:03:16.000 Now, you might remember when the first strikes in Iran happened, there was an Iranian school that was hit.
00:03:22.000 A bunch of kids died.
00:03:24.000 Terrible tragedy.
00:03:25.000 So he's accusing Hegzeth of deliberately killing civilians in that strike.
00:03:30.000 Okay.
00:03:31.000 He's accusing Hegzeth of extrajudicial killings.
00:03:35.000 And this is related to the Venezuelan narco boat blowing those up.
00:03:41.000 All right.
00:03:41.000 So that's another thing.
00:03:43.000 By the way, you had an interesting note.
00:03:44.000 You were very skeptical of that whole thing because you were worried we were going to get some fishing.
00:03:47.000 Well, I'm not saying that.
00:03:49.000 I was skeptical of that because I just felt, even if you think it's great to blow up drug smugglers, it felt like the situation where it was a matter of time till we'd inevitably blow up the wrong boat.
00:03:59.000 And I just feel like we've never actually had that case where it just turned out, oh, this was obviously just a fishing boat and was destroyed.
00:04:06.000 So I will give them credit.
00:04:07.000 Yeah, we haven't had that story.
00:04:09.000 It sounds like a lot of the drug smuggling activity ceased once they started blowing those up.
00:04:14.000 Fentanyl deaths are down about 50%.
00:04:16.000 Yeah, huge, huge.
00:04:19.000 So he's accusing him of extraditional killings.
00:04:21.000 Okay.
00:04:22.000 He's accusing Hegset of suppressing free speech by investigating Democrats like Mark Kelly, who I believe were trying to foment insurrection.
00:04:31.000 In the armed forces, telling them to disobey unlawful orders.
00:04:36.000 Okay, but what is unlawful?
00:04:39.000 Who's going to determine that?
00:04:41.000 Okay, they were trying to foment, absolutely foment insurrection in the military, in my opinion.
00:04:48.000 He was right to hold Mark Kelly accountable.
00:04:51.000 And finally, Massey accuses Hegseth of kidnapping.
00:04:55.000 Who did he kidnap?
00:04:57.000 Nicolas Maduro.
00:04:59.000 He accuses him of kidnapping Nicolas Maduro and bringing him to the U.S. to stand trial.
00:05:03.000 You know, it's interesting about this.
00:05:05.000 Is I've talked to a bunch of libertarians, small l, and even they admit that the operation in Venezuela was.
00:05:13.000 It was the lightest touch military operation that we've basically ever done.
00:05:17.000 Now, Venezuela was becoming a playground for the CCP, for Iran, for Cuba, for some of those drug smuggling boats.
00:05:24.000 Yeah, exactly.
00:05:26.000 They got them out.
00:05:26.000 Venezuela, for all intents and purposes, is doing well.
00:05:31.000 It's now a U.S. ally.
00:05:33.000 We took the most adamantly, second most adamantly anti American government in the Americas.
00:05:39.000 And made it a pro American one, removed a bad dude, did it with the lightest touch possible.
00:05:46.000 I mean, you could say that led into the Iran stuff, and that's been tougher, and that would be a negative effect.
00:05:51.000 But the Iran incident itself, the Venezuela incident itself?
00:05:55.000 No, that's what I'm saying.
00:05:56.000 The most anti interventionist crowd, of which I would include myself.
00:06:00.000 We were really worried about that.
00:06:01.000 And then it happened, and we said, oh, well, yeah, exactly.
00:06:04.000 People want to accuse us of being like so pro war.
00:06:07.000 No, our approach is.
00:06:09.000 To the best of our ability, exactly what we believe Charlie would do, which was hey, warn against invading foreign lands and foreign interventions, but also have the back of the president when he makes a tough decision.
00:06:23.000 Okay.
00:06:24.000 Obviously, I have voiced my concerns about Iran on this show, as many of you know, multiple times.
00:06:29.000 However, Venezuela, even if you are in that camp, is widely regarded as a well executed, morally defensible operation.
00:06:38.000 And by the way, it's kind of the Western hemispheric dominance.
00:06:41.000 We're getting back to that.
00:06:43.000 So, I think it's really important.
00:06:44.000 I want to play some clips for you.
00:06:46.000 And I want to hear from you, by the way.
00:06:47.000 What do you guys think about Massey and this impeachment effort against Pete Hegset?
00:06:55.000 Freedom at CharlieKirk.com.
00:06:56.000 I want to hear your thoughts, okay?
00:06:58.000 Send us what you think.
00:06:58.000 Freedom at CharlieKirk.com.
00:07:00.000 Blake's going to read them in the next segment.
00:07:02.000 Here's CK praising Pete Hegset.
00:07:06.000 And I will tell you, and Blake will attest, Charlie loved Pete dearly.
00:07:10.000 And they were close friends.
00:07:12.000 And when it came to his.
00:07:13.000 Confirmation battle.
00:07:14.000 There was no louder voice on the internet or on social media or on broadcast airwaves than Charlie Kirk.
00:07:21.000 Stop five.
00:07:22.000 Pete Hegseth is a great man.
00:07:24.000 Pete Hegseth has honorably served his country.
00:07:27.000 And Pete Hegseth right now is victim to a media smear job to try to destroy his character and try to remove him from the nomination for Secretary of Defense.
00:07:38.000 Now, some people say, but Charlie, he doesn't have the experience running a big organization.
00:07:42.000 Hold on a second.
00:07:43.000 He's actually served in the front lines.
00:07:47.000 Of the department that he is going to have to run.
00:07:52.000 Pete Hegseth has served his country with incredible bravery and courage.
00:07:56.000 This is nothing compared to what he had to face on the front lines fighting for America.
00:08:02.000 However, the media is doing their best to try and be the fourth estate.
00:08:08.000 Remember when Charlie came out and said, Pete's the red line?
00:08:11.000 If you stand against Pete, remember that Joni Ernst was, you know, there was some back and forth there.
00:08:16.000 And he said, if you stand against Pete, that's the red line.
00:08:18.000 We will actually move to primary you, Republicans.
00:08:21.000 Charlie was just such a believer in guys, you won this election because people were electing Donald Trump as president.
00:08:27.000 They weren't electing random Republican senators who immediately have a 10% approval rating.
00:08:32.000 Yes.
00:08:33.000 Donald Trump has the right to appoint his people to do what he ran on doing.
00:08:38.000 Yeah.
00:08:38.000 Yeah.
00:08:38.000 He stood by that, too.
00:08:40.000 Charlie goes on.
00:08:41.000 We have a bunch of these clips, by the way.
00:08:43.000 Sot six.
00:08:44.000 These Republican senators need to stand up and be counted.
00:08:50.000 And if you are going to oppose Pete Hegseth, then we want to know your names and your states because we'll be visiting a neighborhood near you.
00:08:59.000 If you're from Arkansas, if you're from Kansas, if you're from South Dakota, if you're from Idaho, and you're against Pete Hegseth, you're going to have to defend that to your voters.
00:09:09.000 You see, the American people did not vote for old bull Senate Republicans to get in the way of President Trump's mandate.
00:09:18.000 Well said.
00:09:19.000 So we want to know what you think.
00:09:20.000 Send us your emails freedom at CharlieKirk.com, freedom at CharlieKirk.com.
00:09:25.000 I will tell you, this one caught me completely out of left field.
00:09:29.000 I just think it's egregious.
00:09:30.000 I don't think it caught me out of left field just because I think Matt Forney said it well.
00:09:36.000 The end stage of being based and anti Trump is you become a resistance wine mom.
00:09:40.000 So get this.
00:09:42.000 All right.
00:09:42.000 So I just, I grokked it, you know, and I said, has recruitment improved in the U.S. military since Pete Hegseth took over as SecDef?
00:09:50.000 And it goes, recruitment has improved markedly.
00:09:53.000 That's pretty good for an AI.
00:09:56.000 So the Army hit 101.7%, Navy hit 108%.
00:10:01.000 Air Force over 100%, Space Force 103%, Marine Corps hit their mark.
00:10:06.000 Now, that was in 2025.
00:10:08.000 In 2026, all five active duty branches hit or exceeded their goals months earlier, all ahead of schedule.
00:10:16.000 As of mid 2026, reporting, the Army signed more than 61,500 contracts against the $61,000 goal that was announced in May.
00:10:24.000 Navy reached its raised $45,000 goal in late June.
00:10:29.000 Air Force and Space Force hit theirs in April.
00:10:31.000 Marine Corps also hit its $26,600.
00:10:34.000 Target so 26,600 Marines target all way ahead of schedule.
00:10:40.000 Pretty remarkable.
00:10:40.000 Okay, we got emails.
00:10:41.000 You guys, oh, we got a mountain of them.
00:10:42.000 We got, I can't even read all of them.
00:10:44.000 People sent in so many, but let's get a few.
00:10:46.000 Uh, Santa says, Massey is a little 12 year old scorned girl, and he doesn't deserve enough and he doesn't get enough credit for that aspect.
00:10:54.000 Please, for the love of America, be the first to give him that credit.
00:10:58.000 Make temper tantrums great again.
00:11:00.000 Mark says, this impeachment attempt is unfortunately the next in a pattern of poor decisions.
00:11:06.000 Massey has made since his wife died.
00:11:08.000 It's like he lost his governor when he lost her.
00:11:11.000 I used to really like him.
00:11:12.000 And by the way, I mean, my heart goes out to him.
00:11:14.000 Of course.
00:11:15.000 Losing his wife.
00:11:16.000 I mean, that's very legitimate.
00:11:19.000 It is very legitimate.
00:11:19.000 Well, we're not even attacking him.
00:11:21.000 It does unfortunate.
00:11:23.000 Yeah, sure, sure.
00:11:23.000 Jaleen says, My personal opinion is that this impeachment attempt shows his true colors.
00:11:28.000 Massey is a jaded child who is now throwing a tantrum because he was fired.
00:11:33.000 He is acting just like the people he vacationed with after his defeat.
00:11:38.000 Huge Charlie fan and want to thank you all for having Erica's back.
00:11:42.000 Eric says, Massey is a brat who is taking his ball and going home due to his complete opposition to Trump's agenda.
00:11:48.000 The people sent him packing.
00:11:50.000 Jennifer says Thomas Massey is a lame rat.
00:11:54.000 Pete says, no, Jim says Pete is doing a great job.
00:11:58.000 Massey is jealous because he's out of here.
00:12:01.000 And that's about it.
00:12:03.000 Check this one out.
00:12:03.000 This is SOT7.
00:12:04.000 We'll take a quick breather from the emails.
00:12:06.000 This is Charlie reiterating that email.
00:12:09.000 SOT7.
00:12:10.000 First of all, Pete, you're doing a phenomenal job.
00:12:12.000 I just want to say that from the American people that you don't get the credit that you deserve, obviously, in the mainstream media.
00:12:19.000 You're running the world's largest and greatest military.
00:12:22.000 Yeah, this is from Matt Gates, by the way, 170.
00:12:26.000 And, you know, Matt is kind of an independent arbiter here.
00:12:29.000 He goes, MAGA Grifter here.
00:12:30.000 I'll defend Sec War.
00:12:32.000 I spent eight years on the Armed Services Committee.
00:12:34.000 I watched Biden and Austin turn our military into drag queen theater.
00:12:38.000 I saw them punish red states and move military missions over abortion laws.
00:12:43.000 They abandoned hundreds of our troops in Niger and failed to advance meaningful new technologies.
00:12:48.000 Sec Headset isn't perfect.
00:12:50.000 His press briefings are often melodramatic and overwrought.
00:12:52.000 He didn't inherit a perfect institution to run either.
00:12:55.000 But he has reordered the culture of our military in profoundly positive ways.
00:12:59.000 He got rid of race based promotion.
00:13:00.000 He insisted on physical standards.
00:13:03.000 He prioritized patriotism and recruitment.
00:13:05.000 He's actually shifted money away from failing legacy systems to more modernized, autonomous offense and defense.
00:13:11.000 Rep Massey, I know you disagree with Trump Hegseth on the Iran war.
00:13:15.000 The debates we are having on foreign policy are important.
00:13:17.000 And I too found it strange that Hegseth went to Kentucky to personally campaign against you as our troops were in combat and harm's way.
00:13:23.000 But impeachment is the wrong tool to pursue your objectives.
00:13:27.000 Impeachment should be.
00:13:28.000 Should not arise from policy disagreements or squabbles over competence.
00:13:32.000 Good for him.
00:13:33.000 In the meantime, Larry said, Massey is just being a bad word hole.
00:13:36.000 I really appreciate Heg Seth for what he is doing and what he has done.
00:13:41.000 God bless him.
00:13:42.000 These lunatic losers need to be removed immediately from office.
00:13:46.000 I've been looking to see if we got anyone pushing the line because it'd be fine if someone disagreed, but it does seem pretty uniform within our emails.
00:13:54.000 Got it.
00:13:54.000 All right.
00:13:55.000 Fair enough.
00:13:56.000 Yeah.
00:13:56.000 I mean, listen, I find it to be really objectionable.
00:14:02.000 Right, that this would be coming from our own side.
00:14:04.000 Speaker Johnson's against it.
00:14:06.000 And listen, I have a lot of compassion for people that are anti war, anti interventionists, and they're trying to get their message across.
00:14:16.000 And I sympathize with that position.
00:14:18.000 Blake and I both sympathize with that.
00:14:19.000 We are very anti foreign interventionists, especially in the Middle East.
00:14:23.000 But, you know, we feel duty bound to continue Charlie's rhythm on this, right?
00:14:29.000 Because Charlie would quietly work behind the scenes to advance what he believed was right.
00:14:34.000 And in the case of Iran, he did not want to see us go into Iran.
00:14:37.000 But when President Trump made the decision at Midnight Hammer, Charlie said, I trust that the person that we worked our tails off to get elected is going to make the tough decisions and he's going to do it.
00:14:49.000 We got to trust him and have his back.
00:14:50.000 And especially, he wouldn't crash out and demand the entire administration be eliminated so that we can have some far left Democrat reopen the border, bring back DEI, undo the huge amount of progress that we've made in so many different domains of America and that we're continuing to do.
00:15:07.000 We set another record for ice arrests in August.
00:15:10.000 Yep.
00:15:11.000 Every month, great things are happening.
00:15:13.000 And what's especially impressive is they're happening where news cameras aren't always watching.
00:15:18.000 You have to go to niche X accounts that are aggressively tracking all the ice numbers because good news is just pouring in there.
00:15:24.000 Listen, I totally agree.
00:15:27.000 And we do have a problem with some of these guys like Massey.
00:15:30.000 His constituency is younger, and we need to reach out to them.
00:15:34.000 We need to assure them that, hey, we have a domestic agenda that is robust and it is compelling.
00:15:39.000 So that is a very fair point.
00:15:41.000 And I think the administration had missed the mark on some of those, obviously.
00:15:45.000 If you look at the polling, that's certainly true.
00:15:48.000 And we miss Charlie's presence on these college campuses, going out and arguing and advocating for our worldview.
00:15:53.000 You can feel that, right?
00:15:55.000 But that doesn't mean, to Blake's point, that you turn into a horseshoe person and you go find common cause with the pro abortionists that want to abort your child up to the point of birth.
00:16:06.000 Even after birth, some of these states, you know, they've eliminated prosecuting moms if their child dies within the first year in some of these places.
00:16:13.000 They won't even pursue prosecution.
00:16:16.000 It's like Lindsey Clancy on steroids.
00:16:17.000 This is happening all over the place.
00:16:19.000 I'm not going to go find common cause with the open borders lobby that wants to throw open the borders and replace the body politic in this country to get a compliant, dependent underclass that will vote for them.
00:16:30.000 I'm not going to do it.
00:16:32.000 I'm not going to go with the anti white group that hates white people just to hate them.
00:16:36.000 I'm not going to go with the anti Christian group that hates Christians, that advocates against Christian freedoms.
00:16:43.000 So, even here's my other point.
00:16:46.000 So, the horseshoe people like to say, well, it doesn't matter if we vote left or right, Republican or Democrat, because we still get foreign wars.
00:16:54.000 Okay, let's just concede the point.
00:16:55.000 I don't agree with that at all, but let's just concede the point for one second.
00:16:59.000 Okay, so if you get foreign wars, then you're making my point that it's still better to vote for the Republican because you get different domestic policies.
00:17:07.000 You get closed borders.
00:17:09.000 You get meritocracy instead of DEI.
00:17:11.000 You get pro life policies.
00:17:13.000 You get the smallest federal government since 1966.
00:17:17.000 You get the lowest death rate.
00:17:19.000 Murder rate since 1900 per capita.
00:17:22.000 All of these things made possible by the Trump administration.
00:17:26.000 So, yeah, things are not perfect.
00:17:27.000 We are a coalition.
00:17:29.000 You're not going to be happy with everything, but hopefully, cooler heads will prevail and we will say this is obviously the better route for the country.
00:17:37.000 Charlie believed that.

00:18:28.000 All right, I want to bring in our next guest, and that is Tracy Chandler Waldor.
00:18:33.000 She's a former CIA officer and FBI agent.
00:18:36.000 She's a News Nation contributor, so she's being very gracious here.
00:18:40.000 You can find her on Instagram and TikTok at The Unexpected Spy.
00:18:44.000 Check her out there.
00:18:46.000 Tracy, welcome to the show.
00:18:47.000 I'm grateful to have you, and thanks for making some time for us today.
00:18:51.000 I'm going to play this clip just to start us off because it kind of sets the table.
00:18:55.000 And this was from some of what you did with News Nation here, SOP 4.
00:19:00.000 Charlie Kirk's family says Utah Valley University, campus police, and others did not properly address security concerns leading up to his assassination, despite multiple warnings.
00:19:11.000 One Turning Point USA member even raised concerns about the roof where Kirk's alleged assassin shot him from.
00:19:17.000 Notice of claim sent to the university from Erica's lawyers with a shocking accusation that before the event, a member of Turning Point USA texted the police chief.
00:19:27.000 Hello, Chief Long.
00:19:28.000 We received this message today from the student group.
00:19:31.000 There is student roof access pretty close to where Charlie Kirk will be set up at Utah Valley.
00:19:36.000 If this is true, it would be nice to either have it controlled access or allow one of my guys to be there as well if possible.
00:19:43.000 Chief Long responded, I got you covered.
00:19:47.000 It's not just a big mistake, it's a catastrophic mistake.
00:19:50.000 So, that was your take on, I guess it was a brief snippet, but I thought it was a really powerful line.
00:19:56.000 So, why don't you break this down for us?
00:19:58.000 You've experienced crowd control, securing venues, securing large venues.
00:20:03.000 When you read this notice of claim, what is your immediate reaction?
00:20:08.000 Well, thank you so much for having me.
00:20:09.000 To be completely honest with you, I was shocked by the lack of security and lack of planning to be.
00:20:16.000 Completely frank with you.
00:20:18.000 The fact that there was no threat assessment really done beforehand, no meeting by UVU PD beforehand is actually shocking.
00:20:27.000 That's not normal protocol.
00:20:29.000 Now, listen, different police departments differ in terms of their protocol, but at a very minimum, everyone is meeting together to discuss the risk.
00:20:38.000 And had they met together to discuss the risk, part of me wonders if they would have moved this to a different venue so that it wasn't that, I guess, fishbowl situation, which was outlined in the documents that I've.
00:20:49.000 That said on News Nation before that this was a very dangerous situation, in my opinion.
00:20:54.000 I also think, too, this sheds a lot of light on the fact that there's been a lot of discussion that, you know, Charlie's security details should have done more.
00:21:02.000 They were doing more, they were asking the right questions.
00:21:06.000 They were saying that they had heard that there were vulnerabilities on that rooftop.
00:21:11.000 They even offered, per that text message, to put one of their own team members there.
00:21:16.000 But they were basically told, we've got this covered.
00:21:19.000 So, I don't think they felt that there was a need to, and then they could shift their focus to that close-in security that they were providing.
00:21:26.000 Yeah.
00:21:27.000 So, to that point, so I think this is what a lot of people are keying in on the most.
00:21:30.000 So, TPOSA official, the security texted, Hello, Chief Long.
00:21:35.000 We received this message today from the student group.
00:21:38.000 He said, There is student roof access pretty close to where Charlie will be set up at Utah Valley, and said, It would be nice to either have it controlled access or allow one of my guys to be up there as well, if possible.
00:21:51.000 Chief Long.
00:21:52.000 Texted, I got you covered, which obviously we know was not the case.
00:21:59.000 And I think maybe it's worth taking a quick step back here.
00:22:03.000 So, this is a notice of claim.
00:22:04.000 It's not a lawsuit, but they filed it, the Kirk family filed it on 9 9.
00:22:09.000 And so, one day before the one year.
00:22:11.000 And then we're just kind of hearing about it now.
00:22:14.000 And what it does is it sort of extends the statute of limitations and sort of prepares the parties involved that, hey, there is a claim being put together here.
00:22:24.000 And So they've been notified, the university's been notified.
00:22:29.000 But there's more details here, right?
00:22:31.000 About basically the major thrust of this document is that this death was preventable.
00:22:39.000 Would you agree with that assessment?
00:22:41.000 I mean, because I think there's tension here, right?
00:22:44.000 There is the fact that we want to keep having events at college campuses, we want to be able to do this, and I believe that those can be done safely.
00:22:51.000 I don't think that anybody's expecting universities to do extraordinary measures.
00:22:55.000 We're basically saying the basic blocking and tackling.
00:22:59.000 Of making sure rooftops are covered, monitoring CCTV, making sure access control at certain points is accounted for.
00:23:08.000 Do you think that reading this document, the assessment is correct that this was preventable?
00:23:13.000 So I'll just be blunt.
00:23:14.000 Yes, I do believe in reading this document that it was preventable because, as I said before, and as you mentioned to me, things at the very basic level, and these are things that don't necessarily incur a cost, if that makes any sense.
00:23:29.000 Having ORAM or Provo PD there.
00:23:31.000 Would incur a cost that is usually offset by the group that's there.
00:23:35.000 But these are things just securing scenes, putting officers there, monitoring that CCTV, all of that is within the purview of that police department.
00:23:44.000 And I think, had they had that initial meeting, whether it was just days or weeks beforehand, I do think, in my opinion, that really this death could have been preventable.
00:23:55.000 Because essentially, if you have a situation where you had Charlie surrounded by all of these tall buildings, it really, if you don't secure them, that was probably the number one thing that needed to be secured.
00:24:05.000 I know that there is mention of.
00:24:07.000 Controlled access points and controlled entrance and egress of sidewalks and things of that nature.
00:24:14.000 Yes, obviously, you need to secure that perimeter, but issue number one should have been the tops of those buildings.
00:24:20.000 And I do think his death was preventable.
00:24:22.000 Yeah, I mean, I think it's just such a gut punch reading this document.
00:24:26.000 It was infuriating, enraging.
00:24:30.000 I don't attribute malice to these guys.
00:24:32.000 I think it was a small town provincial kind of thinking that, you know, these kind of things don't happen here.
00:24:38.000 I mean, that's my read on it, but I think that's why we have to pursue.
00:24:42.000 I mean, well, like we've said, it's the biggest political assassination in the U.S. in over half a century.
00:24:49.000 Can you think of a comparable event on a college campus?
00:24:53.000 I can't.
00:24:53.000 You think of Antifa goons smashing windows or setting fires, but.
00:24:58.000 Well, here's some of the other details in the document.
00:25:01.000 I'm sure people are curious.
00:25:04.000 So we also know now that there was only six PD on site that day.
00:25:10.000 So Charlie's own detail was much bigger than theirs.
00:25:15.000 Only the university had lawful authority to control the perimeter of that site.
00:25:20.000 You mentioned people have made the comment, why didn't Charlie's detail do more?
00:25:24.000 Well, they were only able to be responsible for the bubble, right, around Charlie's person.
00:25:30.000 So that's 20 to 30 feet.
00:25:31.000 Yeah.
00:25:32.000 You can't arrest somebody else.
00:25:33.000 They're not cops.
00:25:34.000 Yeah.
00:25:34.000 Their job is to defend and make sure there's safety in that bubble.
00:25:39.000 So they can't control ingress and egress, as you mentioned.
00:25:42.000 They can't control rooftop access.
00:25:43.000 Technically, they're not even lawfully available or able to stop somebody.
00:25:48.000 In that situation, if somebody's going up, now they might choose to do it.
00:25:51.000 That's why I think they were offering to put bodies up there.
00:25:53.000 Nevertheless, that is the purview of the university.
00:25:57.000 Another thing that was interesting is there was no drones, and we find out that they don't have a drone program at the campus PD, but nearby Orem did.
00:26:07.000 And I've been told that they were expecting a phone call that never happened.
00:26:10.000 So that's extraordinarily infuriating as well.
00:26:13.000 So just point after point after point where you're going, it just feels like basic stuff, especially within a year.
00:26:21.000 Just barely over a year after what we saw at Butler, Pennsylvania.
00:26:25.000 You're absolutely right.
00:26:26.000 And I actually said that about Butler, Pennsylvania, why were no drones deployed in that situation as well?
00:26:32.000 That is the easiest way.
00:26:33.000 I flew drones when I was at the CIA to really look through these sites, right, without using actual manpower.
00:26:39.000 And ORM PD has those available.
00:26:40.000 Really, most PDs do.
00:26:42.000 And to your point about these college PDs, I actually worked at a university.
00:26:47.000 And most public universities, the ratio of police to students is about one to 500.
00:26:55.000 The one at UVU was one to 1500.
00:26:58.000 So they were woefully understaffed, per, I guess, that national norm, if you will, as they had to have known that.
00:27:05.000 That's what's surprising to me.
00:27:07.000 And that's why I'm even more concerned and surprised by the fact that they wouldn't have reached out to local law enforcement.
00:27:15.000 Again, I understand that there's a cost associated with that, but most departments who bring these groups onto campus know that there's a cost associated with that and prepare for it.
00:27:25.000 We've dealt with that many, many times at Turning Point.
00:27:28.000 I'm not directly involved in it.
00:27:29.000 I just want to be very clear.
00:27:31.000 I'm not like an expert on security.
00:27:32.000 I didn't, you know, I wasn't like involved in the weeds.
00:27:36.000 I'm learning some of this stuff after the fact.
00:27:38.000 For example, one of the things I'm learning is that that rooftop was well known to local officials to be a place where students hung out and did people watching.
00:27:46.000 They would find beer bottles and other types of garbage up there.
00:27:49.000 They knew that that was a point of vulnerability.
00:27:52.000 So if you know that that's a point of vulnerability, that people can access that rooftop so easily, why was it left unguarded?
00:27:59.000 When you said you had the rooftops, Handle.
00:28:02.000 And it occurs to me, as we learned during the hearing, that it looks like Tyler Robinson was on that roof for a few minutes getting ready there.
00:28:10.000 It wasn't a quick bolt up, do it, and get out.
00:28:13.000 That if you'd had someone even making arounds, they might have spotted him.
00:28:17.000 Yeah.
00:28:18.000 Yeah.
00:28:21.000 It's hard because we're doing a show here and we're trying to get the information out.
00:28:25.000 And it's hard not to get emotional when you think about the fact that, you know, had just one, maybe, of these different.
00:28:33.000 You know, things that could have been done if they were just, you know, acted upon.
00:28:38.000 Basic stuff.
00:28:39.000 And that's what I keep saying.
00:28:40.000 This is not an indictment of campus events.
00:28:42.000 This is not saying that it's always too dangerous to do this type of thing.
00:28:46.000 I actually don't want to live in that world.
00:28:48.000 I want us to be able to keep doing it.
00:28:49.000 And by the way, the universities would love to have that.
00:28:52.000 We can't let that be the case.
00:28:53.000 This is basic stuff.
00:28:54.000 This is not extraordinary measures.
00:28:56.000 And to your point, most of this would not have cost the university anything extra.
00:29:00.000 And I just want to say one last thing is that, you know, Chief Long did ask the university for extra resources.
00:29:07.000 And apparently, that request was turned down.
00:29:10.000 So, at least we know that much in his defense there.
00:29:13.000 So, what do you think?
00:29:16.000 Let's do a glass half full operation here in our minds.
00:29:22.000 What would you like to see come out of this?
00:29:24.000 Because my hope is that universities will take this and approach security, especially for conservative events, candidly, because I think there's more threats facing conservatives these days, but for everybody.
00:29:35.000 Hopefully, this benefits all people.
00:29:37.000 That they will use this to improve security for all students.
00:29:41.000 Is that.
00:29:42.000 Your hope as well, or what are some other outcomes that we could see here?
00:29:45.000 Well, I think that that's such a good question because you're so right.
00:29:48.000 Like, we need to continue freedom of speech on campuses, and these events need to continue to go on in a safe manner.
00:29:54.000 There's no question about that.
00:29:56.000 I think one of the things that I hope comes out of this, but I know some people don't like that, is uniform security standards at a bare minimum, almost a checklist that universities need, whether they're public or private, that are agreed upon.
00:30:09.000 There are groups that do get together and discuss these things.
00:30:12.000 But if they could all get on the same page in terms of what is the most basic things that are required to keep an individual or individuals who are on that campus safe, reasonably safe, I think would be a great thing to come out of this.
00:30:27.000 I also think another thing, and this is something that I actually brought up in Butler when that happened with President Trump, is the idea of better intelligence sharing.
00:30:37.000 Because what you had mentioned before about, you know, turning point, having that information about the roof being vulnerable.
00:30:44.000 Who knows how that was ultimately shared and who that was shared with?
00:30:48.000 And that's obviously a very critical piece of intelligence.
00:30:52.000 And sometimes, as someone who's been on the intelligence side and the law enforcement side, that can get sort of mixed up and isn't shared properly.
00:31:01.000 And so I think streamlining that and having those basic standards across the board would be very beneficial.
00:31:09.000 You got me thinking about something that I haven't thought for a while, but I remember in the immediate aftermath, I thought to myself, why do we even have Campus PD?
00:31:15.000 Why is it not a Better funded local PD that just has a group that works the campus, right?
00:31:24.000 Is there a benefit to having campus PD, be it its own sort of PD, as opposed to, in this case, ORAM?
00:31:32.000 ORAM could have just had a campus division, right?
00:31:34.000 Maybe they would have had more resources, would have had the drones.
00:31:37.000 I think the answer to that, sorry to be kind of vague, is it depends.
00:31:40.000 So I think some schools, some schools, yes, they do actually use their local PD and don't have a campus PD.
00:31:48.000 But let's use my alma mater, right, as an example of that.
00:31:51.000 So I went to USC, University of Southern California.
00:31:54.000 It would have been a massive strain on LAPD, particularly in that area.
00:31:58.000 To also be providing the security at the school, which is why USC does have its very own and very capable police force.
00:32:05.000 So, in some situations, it actually is beneficial, particularly in large urban areas, to have that school PD.
00:32:13.000 It's actually a good thing and it's beneficial.
00:32:16.000 But that's not obviously always the case.
00:32:19.000 Yeah, I think that's fair.
00:32:21.000 It kind of strikes me, though, like with UVU, ORM PD is, by all accounts, everything that I've heard at least.
00:32:29.000 Outside looking in, but it does seem to be more capable and to be better resourced and better financed.
00:32:34.000 You mentioned those ratios of.
00:32:35.000 It's Utah.
00:32:35.000 It's usually a pretty safe place.
00:32:37.000 Yeah, it's usually a pretty safe place.
00:32:38.000 And I do think that's really what's behind a lot of this is that people in Utah kind of thought, stuff like this doesn't happen here.
00:32:46.000 Yeah, stuff like this doesn't happen here.
00:32:48.000 Yeah, I think that's interesting.
00:32:51.000 The other question, though, is you talk about information sharing.
00:32:55.000 You know, we have made a lot about this show that there.
00:32:59.000 Did seem to be at least threats made on social media.
00:33:03.000 There seemed to be some sort of prior knowledge, or at least, you know, who knows, but people seem to indicate that, and maybe that was just people saying stuff on social media, right?
00:33:13.000 People say all kinds of crazy stuff, but that's been something that's bothered me a lot, you know, in the months since this happened.
00:33:21.000 Is that kind of what you're talking about with information and intelligence sharing?
00:33:24.000 That kind of stuff could be streamlined with a campus PD?
00:33:27.000 So that's a good question.
00:33:29.000 Thank you for asking for the clarification.
00:33:31.000 Yes and no.
00:33:32.000 I think there's internal threats, right?
00:33:34.000 Like to the school, areas that are vulnerable, students that are a problem.
00:33:38.000 So that information needs to be shared as well as those outer threats that you mentioned, like threats on Discord, threats on social media.
00:33:46.000 That needs to be shared too.
00:33:47.000 And sometimes to your point about having that local PD as well as school PD, the two of them don't necessarily talk because they really have different interests, right?
00:33:57.000 And different things that they're protecting.
00:33:59.000 And so that information, in my opinion, needs to be streamlined because this doesn't exist in a bubble.
00:34:04.000 Right?
00:34:05.000 You have to, these individuals who are coming to these universities wishing to do harm are going through many different jurisdictions to be able to do that.
00:34:13.000 And so if they're not talking to each other, you have a blind spot.
00:34:16.000 Well, that does kind of remind me of Butler, where it was like different groups were on different communication platforms or whatever.
00:34:23.000 They weren't talking, which is just wild when it comes to the president of the United States, let alone a campus event like this.
00:34:30.000 You know, sorry, Blake.
00:34:32.000 Oh, I feel, I just had that thought.
00:34:34.000 I feel like the multiple attempts against President Trump.
00:34:37.000 That have come shockingly close to being successful remind us that sadly, the best defense we've always had against assassinations has just been that for most people, the vast majority of people, it's not even thinkable that they would ever do that.
00:34:50.000 We thankfully don't have many people who want to do a borderline, you know, a suicidal thing of trying to take somebody out.
00:34:57.000 And if that's breaking down, if more people are into that, our system is unfortunately pretty vulnerable.
00:35:02.000 Yeah.
00:35:02.000 Well, and I think about it though, to your point, that some of these bigger schools, like Charlie went to Texas AM and I heard.
00:35:08.000 Multiple reports.
00:35:09.000 There were like 50 cops there, and they had all the rooftops.
00:35:12.000 And they, you know, Isabel Brown told about a 2018 campus visit at UC Boulder, and they had guys up on the rooftops.
00:35:20.000 They were armed, actually, at that event.
00:35:22.000 I mean, they were manning everything.
00:35:24.000 Some campuses do a really good job.
00:35:27.000 They do a really, really thorough job.
00:35:29.000 They have a plan.
00:35:30.000 They meet.
00:35:31.000 They're sharing intel.
00:35:33.000 And that's the trick of doing a tour like Charlie was doing.
00:35:38.000 Every school was so different, and you have to get used to different personalities at each different school.
00:35:43.000 Some of them had turf wars, some of them have resources that others don't have.
00:35:47.000 Tracy Chandler, Walder, this was great analysis.
00:35:50.000 Thank you so much for making time for us today.
00:35:53.000 Thank you for your expert analysis.
00:35:55.000 Genuinely, we really appreciate it.
00:35:56.000 Thank you.
00:35:57.000 Thank you for having me.
00:36:01.000 Before he ever stepped onto a debate stage or behind a microphone, Charlie understood something really important that if you want to lead, you first have to learn.
00:36:11.000 Charlie believed that ideas shape character, conviction, and courage.
00:36:14.000 That's why he spent years studying the classics, the American founding, and the Bible through Hillsdale College's free online courses.
00:36:20.000 He would rave about these courses all the time.
00:36:23.000 These free online courses are taught by Hillsdale College professors and draw from the same great books and enduring ideas studied on Hillsdale's campus.
00:36:31.000 Hillsdale's newest free online course is the Iliad, where Professor Stephen Smith guides students through Homer's great epic of honor, courage, friendship, leadership, and the pursuit of true greatness.
00:36:42.000 For nearly 3,000 years, the Iliad has shaped the Western imagination.
00:36:46.000 It tells the story of Achilles as he confronts injustice, rage, grief, responsibility, and the terrible costs of war.
00:36:53.000 But Homer's epic is more than a story of ancient battles, it raises enduring questions about courage, duty, leadership, sacrifice, and self command.
00:37:01.000 Achilles is the greatest warrior among the Greeks, but Homer asks whether strength alone is enough.
00:37:06.000 To make a man truly great.
00:37:08.000 In this new free online course, you'll follow Achilles through the defining trials of his life and discover why one of the greatest works of Western literature still speaks to the permanent questions of human life.
00:37:18.000 Charlie understood that learning isn't just about gaining knowledge, it's about forming the mind and character needed to face the challenges of life with wisdom and courage.
00:37:27.000 You can enroll today completely free and take this class or their 40 plus other free online courses.

00:37:38.000 Learn deeply, think clearly, lead boldly, and carry it forward, just like Charlie.
00:37:46.000 We have the great Alex Marlowe joining us, editor in chief of Breitbart News.
00:37:50.000 Check it out.
00:37:51.000 I check it out every day, multiple times, as a matter of fact.
00:37:53.000 I am always excited when the lead story has changed and I have something new to examine.
00:37:59.000 And Alex manages all that team.
00:38:01.000 He's done a great job there for years.
00:38:03.000 He also has the Alex Marlowe show, hosts the Alex Marlowe show, which I have been a guest on, and I'm honored to say that.
00:38:09.000 Alex, welcome back to the show.
00:38:12.000 Good to have you.
00:38:12.000 I know that you had thoughts about the news this morning about the notice of claim.
00:38:17.000 So we have other things to get to, but I wanted to at least give you a chance to chime in on that.
00:38:23.000 Thank you.
00:38:23.000 Thanks for the great intro, also.
00:38:24.000 And I don't love to just shamelessly plug my stuff, but I have both of you guys on as part of a series honoring Charlie last week.
00:38:32.000 And it did gangbusters for me and was very popular at Breitbart.
00:38:36.000 And so if people go to the Alex Marlowe Show feed, you will see long term, long form interviews with Mikey and Tyler, as well as you two.
00:38:44.000 And they're just They're just awesome.
00:38:46.000 I learned so much from you guys.
00:38:47.000 So thank you for doing that with me.
00:38:48.000 And I really appreciate it.
00:38:49.000 And the audience did too.
00:38:50.000 It's our honor.
00:38:51.000 Yeah.
00:38:52.000 Thank you.
00:38:52.000 Thank you.
00:38:53.000 And I really, seriously, getting those lessons of Charlie, we need him so badly now.
00:38:58.000 I love what you guys did.
00:39:00.000 And I know it comes from Erica and the family, but I have been asking since Charlie got shot, what was the deal with not surveilling the roofs?
00:39:09.000 And you guys are supplying answers and you're saying that this is the real story.
00:39:13.000 And I wanted these answers a year ago, and they're hard to get, and no one knew exactly what to make of what.
00:39:20.000 But you guys are, I think, starting to put the puzzle together where you're answering how could this have happened?
00:39:27.000 And those of us who love Charlie and work with Charlie and even watch Charlie from afar, they all want this answer too.
00:39:34.000 So I feel like, as simple as it is, just this is a big step forward in trying to resolve one of the questions, which is why wasn't the roof surveilled?
00:39:43.000 And you guys are starting to supply the answers.
00:39:45.000 Andrew did a nice job laying out on Fox.
00:39:47.000 I watched some of that.
00:39:47.000 So that's great.
00:39:49.000 But good for you guys for trying to find justice here.
00:39:51.000 Yeah.
00:39:52.000 Well, and listen, I mean, Blake and I can take approximately 0% of the credit here.
00:39:56.000 We had nothing to do with any of this.
00:39:58.000 This is the Kirk family decision.
00:40:00.000 I know that they've been working on it for a long time.
00:40:03.000 What's that?
00:40:03.000 As it should be.
00:40:04.000 Yeah, of course.
00:40:05.000 Of course.
00:40:05.000 And so, you know, I'm glad that they did it.
00:40:09.000 My whole perspective on it is like good on them.
00:40:11.000 If I can be an asset and support from a messaging standpoint and lay out some of the more egregious failures, you know, listen, I. My heart is actually with everybody involved on some level, right?
00:40:24.000 Because I do think it was, we said this in the last hour, it was probably a case where, you know, they just didn't expect something like this to happen in that part of the world, right?
00:40:33.000 I mean, this is a sleepy little part of the greater Salt Lake area.
00:40:36.000 You're not here, but from someone who just said, yeah, I'm from Southwest Montana, similar area.
00:40:41.000 And he just says, it doesn't enter our head that something like that could happen there.
00:40:45.000 And I do think that was, but still, the basics were not covered.
00:40:49.000 The basics.
00:40:50.000 This is not, we're not talking about you got to be, you know, extraordinary Secret Service level, whatever.
00:40:55.000 No, just man the roofs, make sure the rooftop access points are blocked off or manned, monitor the CCTV footage, and work with local police departments that have drones.
00:41:07.000 These are common things.
00:41:07.000 And by the way, we've seen them at multiple different stops.
00:41:10.000 I am no expert on security.
00:41:12.000 I barely even thought about it.
00:41:13.000 I said hi to the security guards and all this stuff.
00:41:15.000 In the months since, I've delved into it in a greater way.
00:41:20.000 And that's all.
00:41:21.000 These are basic things that were not done.
00:41:23.000 There was no plan written in advance, security plan.
00:41:26.000 There was no meeting that morning.
00:41:28.000 They asked for more resources.
00:41:30.000 Chief Long did, didn't get them.
00:41:32.000 They knew that rooftop was visited by students all the time.
00:41:35.000 It didn't seem to trigger anybody as a point of vulnerability that needed to have special attention.
00:41:41.000 Anyways, so I'm grateful that this is not acceptable.
00:41:44.000 I'll just say it, I'll note briefly.
00:41:46.000 I'm not one to yell and scream in the mic, but it's not acceptable that this was what went down.
00:41:53.000 And there needs to be accountability so it doesn't happen again.
00:41:56.000 And that's the problem with all this that Trump gets shot by a guy on a roof and people did not pay enough attention.
00:42:01.000 So we need to compel people to pay attention.
00:42:04.000 And I think this is a step in the right direction for that.
00:42:07.000 No, I totally agree.
00:42:08.000 And my heart is that this would actually empower more campus events for both conservatives and liberals.
00:42:15.000 You know, we had an expert on last segment and she said there needs to be uniform standards.
00:42:20.000 You know, a lot of people don't want that, they resist it.
00:42:22.000 You know, my university, my turf, this kind of stuff.
00:42:24.000 No.
00:42:25.000 You need to have basic operating protocol when it's not just Charlie's life that was on the line and obviously lost tragically.
00:42:32.000 Imagine that shooter sprayed bullets into the crowd.
00:42:35.000 How many lives could have been lost because of an oversight like that?
00:42:39.000 And even beyond the lives, which of course, that's a fantastic point, but even beyond the lives, it's free speech itself we're talking about.
00:42:44.000 It's talking about that there are a lot of worthy voices that students should hear from that have a lot to say and a lot of knowledge and who are not physically brave and may have young families and don't really feel like, well, there's a good chance I could get shot today.
00:43:00.000 Because the university doesn't give a crap about security, then I'm not going to show up.
00:43:04.000 We can't have that.
00:43:05.000 That's not America.
00:43:06.000 It's a the terrorist win once we allow for that.
00:43:08.000 So, anything that's a step in the right direction that we protect free speech at all costs in this country, if we're moving in that direction, we're moving in a good day.
00:43:17.000 That's so good, Alex.
00:43:18.000 I totally agree.
00:43:19.000 This is, if anything, the best outcome from this.
00:43:22.000 If you hold people accountable, you let them know that this can't happen again.
00:43:26.000 Obviously, it's beyond terrible and tragic and a loss for all of us in the country, my friend, Erica's husband, the children.
00:43:36.000 But if you really care about free speech, then we have to invest.
00:43:40.000 In making sure that free speech can happen.
00:43:42.000 And that means security.
00:43:43.000 That means, yeah, go ahead.
00:43:45.000 Charlie had physical bravery, which is not a guaranteed attribute, even in alpha males.
00:43:51.000 A lot of alpha males don't even have that.
00:43:53.000 So Charlie had that.
00:43:54.000 But don't assume that's the norm.
00:43:56.000 It doesn't make you the only valid voices.
00:43:59.000 It shouldn't be a contingency that you must be physically brave to be able to speak on a campus.
00:44:04.000 And that's what they're laying out.
00:44:05.000 If there's not accountability here, that's what they're laying out.
00:44:07.000 And it should not be that way.
00:44:08.000 Now, Charlie was admirable in that way.
00:44:10.000 And a lot of, I've worked with a lot of other people who speak on campuses.
00:44:13.000 And they're admirable in that way as well, but it really shouldn't be a requirement.
00:44:17.000 You should be able to speak peacefully on a campus, no problem.
00:44:21.000 Amen, Alex.
00:44:21.000 Really, really well said.
00:44:23.000 Speaking of physical bravery, this is going to be a bit of a whiplash for the audience.
00:44:27.000 Gavin Newsom, Sotnine.
00:44:29.000 We've got Brokana, Kamala.
00:44:32.000 Yeah, I don't know if she runs, but we'll see.
00:44:34.000 I know she's called around.
00:44:35.000 Yeah, but I wouldn't run if she ran.
00:44:38.000 If she runs, you will not.
00:44:40.000 Of course not.
00:44:41.000 Why would I?
00:44:43.000 I wouldn't do that to her.
00:44:45.000 I wouldn't do that to you.
00:44:45.000 I wouldn't waste everyone's time.
00:44:47.000 Who needs that?
00:44:48.000 What do you mean?
00:44:49.000 That doesn't even make sense to me.
00:44:51.000 I just, I wouldn't, no, I wouldn't.
00:44:54.000 I know her base of supporters, I know her friends.
00:44:57.000 The Zen diagram on that is just pure crossover.
00:45:01.000 It's not, I wouldn't do that to, I wouldn't do that.
00:45:03.000 Everything about that.
00:45:04.000 The Zen diagram.
00:45:06.000 Did you catch that?
00:45:07.000 The Zen diagram.
00:45:09.000 Everything about that and the lines in it is amazing.
00:45:12.000 I'm not a fly fisherman, but a lot of people were making fun of their casting technique, and they appear to be wearing Brooks Brothers pants in that.
00:45:20.000 Pond or stream or whatever they're in.
00:45:22.000 Do you think this is Gavin hedging?
00:45:24.000 You think this is him saying, I actually don't want to do this?
00:45:27.000 Or is this trying?
00:45:28.000 What is this?
00:45:29.000 Well, first of all, the Zen diagram thing, I literally make that reference to troll people to see if they're paying attention.
00:45:34.000 It is a joke.
00:45:35.000 It's like an Ali G style joke where I'll say, oh, it's the Zen diagram just to see if anyone's going, what's he talking about?
00:45:41.000 Zen diagram.
00:45:42.000 He says it earnestly.
00:45:43.000 And I just want, I put this out on the Everything app, but I will Venmo $50 to anyone who could get me a picture of the camera crew.
00:45:52.000 Who Jake Tapper trotted out to film that?
00:45:54.000 I want to see the camera crew watching this farce.
00:45:57.000 I got a lot of commentary on what was said, but I think the most important thing to say is I can't believe CNN put cameras on these guys and took this remotely seriously.
00:46:06.000 I just, I want to know how it happened.
00:46:07.000 Was like, you know, was Tapper like, I really want this interview?
00:46:11.000 And Gavin was like, Well, I've got this fishing trip.
00:46:14.000 I'm heading from the French Laundry over to Montana.
00:46:16.000 Every candidate should be in increasingly implausible situations, like an interview while they're on a climbing wall or in a batting cage.
00:46:23.000 Just bizarre situations.
00:46:25.000 All right.
00:46:26.000 Alex, I'm looking at the top of Breitbart, which I always say that I'm going to do.
00:46:30.000 And this clip in this viral moment just like is not going anywhere.
00:46:34.000 And it's hilarious.
00:46:35.000 This is from Nolte.
00:46:36.000 He goes, James Talrico's favorite drag queen really, really likes kids.
00:46:43.000 It's a terrible headline.
00:46:45.000 If you throw up 161, this is the top of Breitbart right now.
00:46:50.000 And this, of course, comes from this like terrible exchange where James Talrico is asked who his favorite drag queen is, which is a weird question.
00:47:00.000 But the weirder part was that at the tip of his tongue, he had an answer.
00:47:04.000 He had an answer, Alex.
00:47:07.000 Do you have an answer, Alex?
00:47:08.000 Who's your?
00:47:10.000 This is just, no, I don't.
00:47:11.000 I absolutely don't.
00:47:13.000 And it's a no man should, right?
00:47:15.000 And I mean, this is a guy who's running for the Senate in Texas, and he's running on this platform like he's a super nice guy, but he is super tuned in to all of the male to female drag queens who specifically target children.
00:47:33.000 And remember, Talarico is always thinking about the trans children from that other quote.
00:47:37.000 And they're selling this to Texas.
00:47:39.000 I mean, this is, I think someone told me that like Robert Patty O'Rourke Beto, you know, the fake Latinks, who's actually an Irishman, he's like Charlton Heston compared to Tallarico.
00:47:52.000 And they're selling this guy in Texas.
00:47:54.000 I can't believe it.
00:47:55.000 The Democrats are in such a mess.
00:47:56.000 I was thinking about this in the context of the midterm guys about how it's a, with everything that's going on, is that Republicans would get completely crushed if they're running against no one.
00:48:04.000 But they are running against the Democrats.
00:48:07.000 And these are the guys they keep putting out there, guys who make excuses for 9 11.
00:48:11.000 Guys who make excuses for October the 7th, guys who eat barbecue with a napkin wrapped around the meat, but they were also a vegan at some point and won a vegan campaign.
00:48:21.000 And then Newsom's not on the ballot, but he kind of is.
00:48:23.000 And he's there and he is saying he's going to see DeKamala Harris, who is just now a wine mom and is just getting in the Sauvignon Bee really early in the day all the time and sounds completely incoherent whenever she talks.
00:48:37.000 And Cal Rico is so keyed into the drag queen network.
00:48:41.000 What is going on?
00:48:42.000 So we did do a dive just to come back to the story.
00:48:45.000 Into, and it was inspired by a hat tip, Libs at TikTok, who was doing this before.
00:48:50.000 And we went in and looked at some of the stuff that this guy has been up to.
00:48:53.000 And he is just way into the kids, just way into the kids.
00:48:57.000 And Talrico loves it.
00:48:58.000 Yeah.
00:48:59.000 So in real life, Alyssa Edwards, Talrico's favorite drag queen, is a 46 year old dude named Justin Duane Lee Johnson, who identifies as a woman.
00:49:09.000 Born in Texas, won the title for Miss Gay America in 2010, and now operates the Beyond Belief Dance Company, marketed.
00:49:18.000 You guessed it directly at kids.
00:49:22.000 This is like disgusting.
00:49:25.000 Gross.
00:49:25.000 All right.
00:49:25.000 It's legit gross.
00:49:26.000 We have the clip, by the way.
00:49:27.000 Do we not?
00:49:28.000 We do.
00:49:28.000 We do.
00:49:28.000 Okay.
00:49:29.000 Let's just show it.
00:49:29.000 Let's play.
00:49:30.000 Clip 10.
00:49:32.000 Mr. Tyler Eco, so nice to meet you, Tyler.
00:49:34.000 I was there when you defended the drags.
00:49:36.000 Who's your favorite drag queen in Texas?
00:49:38.000 Oh, my gosh.
00:49:39.000 Probably Alyssa Edwards.
00:49:39.000 Alyssa Edwards, I love Mikey Mays.
00:49:41.000 Thank you so much.
00:49:43.000 Instant.
00:49:44.000 That was.
00:49:46.000 That should just be on every ad.
00:49:47.000 Every AI.
00:49:48.000 Take that.
00:49:49.000 Eight second cut, or whatever it is, put it in every ad.
00:49:53.000 The latency there was like nothing.
00:49:55.000 Like every AI is jealous of how quickly he can.
00:49:59.000 Like he didn't even pause to think, is this a question I should answer?
00:50:02.000 No, what he did is it looked like he paused because he didn't want to offend the other drag queens that were also at the tip of his tongue.
00:50:07.000 Yeah.
00:50:07.000 He had to say, probably it could be one of the others.
00:50:10.000 It's such a great point.
00:50:11.000 If you guys punch into Grok, who is the best drag queen in Texas?
00:50:15.000 They're going to think much longer than Tallarico thought.
00:50:19.000 And that's crazy to think of it that way.
00:50:21.000 Oh, that is really crazy.
00:50:23.000 Um, All right.
00:50:24.000 Well, so let's.
00:50:25.000 Okay.
00:50:25.000 We've got only two and a half minutes left here, Alex.
00:50:28.000 Hold on.
00:50:28.000 It's spending five, six seconds forming an opinion on drag queens as a topic.
00:50:32.000 There is no official ranking.
00:50:34.000 It did give me Alyssa Edwards first.
00:50:36.000 Wow.
00:50:37.000 So Claude agrees with Talarica.
00:50:39.000 Wow.
00:50:39.000 I wonder if anybody's doing that.
00:50:41.000 That was very high IQ, like, to do that in real time.
00:50:43.000 That was good radio right there.
00:50:44.000 It was pretty funny.
00:50:45.000 All right.
00:50:46.000 So you got two and a half minutes left.
00:50:48.000 You've been paying attention to Hassan Piker's crash out.
00:50:50.000 Obviously, when you think of Hassan Piker, we're thinking El Syed.
00:50:54.000 We're thinking, by the way, Michelle Tafoya, I'm trying to get her on the show.
00:50:58.000 She's within striking distance in Minnesota.
00:51:00.000 I think so.
00:51:02.000 Rich Barris likes her chances more than Rodgers in Michigan.
00:51:06.000 So that's where we're at.
00:51:07.000 That's the state of play.
00:51:07.000 Sununu is like basically tied in New Hampshire.
00:51:10.000 We're working our tails off there at Turnip Point Action, tpaction.com slash 100.
00:51:14.000 Get involved.
00:51:15.000 Go chase some ballots.
00:51:16.000 You can do it and volunteer.
00:51:18.000 Tpaction.com will give you 100 names to chase.
00:51:20.000 Alex, two minutes left.
00:51:21.000 Give us the Hassan Piker 30,000 foot.
00:51:24.000 Well, I just think that his crash out is really unbelievable.
00:51:27.000 And people who actually watch his Twitch right now, that he's calling now America the worst.
00:51:32.000 POS country in the world, and he's just tripling down on that.
00:51:36.000 He hates this country as people start getting the word out that he really is almost funny to watch.
00:51:41.000 Like, he's really mostly a stand up comedian in a lot of ways.
00:51:44.000 And when you start appraising him through that lens, and that the Democrats let him be the face of the party, and that the Hakeem Jeffrieses of the world didn't have any power to stop him becoming the face of the party, a guy who's mostly a jokester who Charlie humiliated on numerous occasions.
00:52:00.000 And I think you start understanding that, oh, yeah, he puts a clown nose on a lot so he can get Twitch attention.
00:52:05.000 He was never meant to be the guy who was in charge of the party.
00:52:08.000 And now that he is, he's having this huge crash out where he's coming, he's going further, further to the left.
00:52:14.000 And he does not like that he's getting spurned.
00:52:16.000 But just I'm calling out all the guys, the Pod Save America podcast bros who make so much money podcasting.
00:52:21.000 They have no power, they have no effect on that party.
00:52:24.000 That party has been completely overtaken by the freaks who are residing online.
00:52:29.000 And this is the king of it.
00:52:31.000 Hassan Piker is the king of it.
00:52:33.000 And it is just pretty delish to watch.
00:52:36.000 Yeah, it's interesting that instead of kind of getting his wrist slapped and kind of moderating for his pals, saying normal things.
00:52:43.000 This is the problem, by the way, when you get content creators in politics.
00:52:46.000 Charlie was the exception to the rule.
00:52:48.000 I mean, we're not built that way, so I guess we're the exception to the rule, too.
00:52:52.000 But these guys, they care about their content more than they care about El Sayed.
00:52:55.000 They care about their content more than they care about the country or the state of the party or anything like that.
00:53:00.000 They will put themselves and their content and their clicks and their views ahead of anything.
00:53:06.000 So, court some Twitch streamer out of California at your own peril.
00:53:11.000 Alex Marlowe, you're the man.
00:53:12.000 We love having you.
00:53:14.000 Thank you so much, my friend.
00:53:15.000 We'll talk to you soon.
00:53:18.000 If you're about to turn 65 and you're already on Medicare, this message is for you.
00:53:23.000 Charlie cared about America's seniors.
00:53:26.000 He was outraged that so many were paying too much for their Medicare coverage and getting less than they deserved in return.
00:53:32.000 That's why he partnered with Chapter.
00:53:34.000 And we're still partnered with Chapter.
00:53:36.000 Chapter's licensed advisors search.
00:53:38.000 Every Medicare plan to find what's actually best for you.
00:53:42.000 The call is 100% free, no pressure, just honest help.
00:53:46.000 Seniors save an average of $1,100 a year with Chapter.
00:53:50.000 They've already helped hundreds of our listeners enroll in better plans, and they can help you too.
00:53:55.000 So if you're nearing 65 or already on Medicare, make the call today.
00:53:59.000 Dial 250, and say Charlie Kirk to make sure you're in the best available plan.
00:54:05.000 That's 250, and say Charlie Kirk, or go to askchapter.orgslash Kirk.
00:54:14.000 Without further ado, we welcome Nick Sortor.
00:54:17.000 Nick Sortor is an independent journalist.
00:54:19.000 He's also, you'll see him all over X, blown up stories.
00:54:23.000 Nick, you flagged this for me.
00:54:25.000 Somehow I missed this story.
00:54:26.000 I don't know how I missed it, but it's a story out of the University of Utah.
00:54:31.000 And it involves a couple college Republicans.
00:54:33.000 They're tabling on campus.
00:54:35.000 You flagged this for me late last night.
00:54:37.000 So why don't you just give the audience the full backstory first before we get to the latest breaking news here?
00:54:42.000 Yeah, so I actually just happened to see it in my feed on X.
00:54:46.000 I was going through and I saw these two college Republicans, right?
00:54:53.000 That posted a photo last week of the Sarah girl that walked up to their booth, their booth that they had on campus.
00:55:02.000 It was a voter registration booth for college Republicans.
00:55:06.000 She walks up with this cake that says Happy Kirk Aversary on it, celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
00:55:14.000 They take a picture.
00:55:16.000 She poses for the photo, obviously.
00:55:19.000 And it's posted on social media.
00:55:22.000 Who do you think gets in trouble for that?
00:55:24.000 It happens to be the, not the chick that was celebrating Charlie's assassination.
00:55:30.000 It was the girl and the guy, college Republicans, that took the photo and posted it online.
00:55:35.000 They didn't use her name, they didn't put her name out there.
00:55:38.000 She was identified by somebody else through the picture.
00:55:42.000 So this girl never had any sort of pushback on her from the university.
00:55:49.000 She came out and apparently lobbed a fake apology.
00:55:53.000 To the college Republicans, and then went straight to school administrators and tried to get the two of them expelled.
00:56:01.000 And I saw a post from Riley and Riley, it's a girl and a guy, saying that they were going to have a hearing, an expulsion hearing the next morning.
00:56:11.000 And this was pretty late last night when I saw it.
00:56:14.000 It really pissed me off immediately.
00:56:18.000 And I reached out to them and said, Hey, you don't need to go to this alone.
00:56:24.000 Let me get you an attorney.
00:56:26.000 Uh, and I was like, that's when I reached out to you after that, being like, okay, well, do you know anybody out there that I can retain to try to not let them get steamrolled by woke university administrators?
00:56:39.000 And you guys stepped in over there, and I don't know how much she wants to say, but I'm gonna go ahead and say it.
00:56:47.000 Erica would not let me pay for it, she went ahead and pulled it out of her own pocket.
00:56:51.000 Attorneys were working through the night, and now we have an update.
00:56:56.000 Uh, they got an email from the administrators this morning saying.
00:56:58.000 Due to unforeseen circumstances, we're going to have to reschedule our expulsion hearing.
00:57:05.000 So, you know, I can't appreciate you guys enough stepping in and getting this done.
00:57:11.000 I can't appreciate you enough, Nick, for flagging this for us last night.
00:57:15.000 I mean, as you know, we've got a lot of news breaking today, and it was a busy evening and morning and all that kind of stuff.
00:57:20.000 But when I heard about this, I was absolutely floored.
00:57:24.000 I think, you know, I saw like Brandon Herrera was in the comments, Palmer Lucky was in the comments.
00:57:29.000 I mean, this has gotten national news.
00:57:30.000 That first clip, that first.
00:57:32.000 Kirk Aversary picture that she just posted and going, What is wrong with people?
00:57:35.000 Got like 6 million engagements.
00:57:37.000 I think she has 2,500 followers on X. 6 million engagements.
00:57:42.000 And so, like, God bless her for flagging it.
00:57:44.000 She did nothing wrong.
00:57:45.000 This girl came up to their booth and taunted them, flaunting this cake, which is just disgusting behavior, by the way.
00:57:54.000 And yeah, the internet did what the internet does, but, you know, they didn't do anything wrong.
00:57:58.000 Blake, sorry, I cut you off.
00:57:59.000 Well, it's just, it stood out to me how everything in the world in, University moves very slowly.
00:58:06.000 It's a bureaucracy.
00:58:07.000 It's glacial.
00:58:07.000 And the anniversary was a week ago.
00:58:09.000 They turn around and they say, Oh, you're having a hearing about this ASAP.
00:58:13.000 This is what we need to move heaven and earth.
00:58:15.000 And I almost wonder if someone in that university maybe saw an opportunity, thought we can do this really fast before they have a time to react.
00:58:24.000 I don't know.
00:58:25.000 I'd be very interested in who pushed this forward aggressively.
00:58:28.000 Hey, Nick, what can you tell us about what the university was alleging against Riley and Riley, these two conservatives on campus?
00:58:35.000 Doxing was the main problem.
00:58:38.000 That's what they said.
00:58:39.000 They said that posting a photo online is doxing.
00:58:42.000 I don't know, like, you have all the other students in the background too.
00:58:46.000 Were they doxed?
00:58:46.000 Does that count as a dox?
00:58:47.000 What counts as a dox at this point?
00:58:50.000 And so, like, I can pull up the original email here that says, as ironic as this is, the standard of behavior violation in question includes threatening or endangering behavior.
00:59:08.000 That's what they're alleging.
00:59:11.000 Against the two college Republicans, there allegedly involves you attempting to dox another University of Utah student over a political issue.
00:59:22.000 Well, so let's play this clip.
00:59:25.000 I just, you know, I've never met these kids, but I saw them and I instantly loved their energy.
00:59:30.000 I believe it's SOT 3.
00:59:32.000 Despite the death threats that we have received from students at the University of Utah, we are out here getting students more involved and registered to vote.
00:59:38.000 We will not be silenced and we will not be intimidated.
00:59:42.000 We're here to make Campus conservative again and be the conservative voice on campus.
00:59:47.000 Okay, so just summing it all up for everybody those kids are tabling on campus.
00:59:53.000 They are trying to register students to vote, right?
00:59:56.000 Doing things that we should all be celebrating.
01:00:00.000 Some lefty comes up taunting them about the Kirk anniversary.
01:00:04.000 She decorated a whole cake, thought it was hilarious, poses for a picture.
01:00:08.000 They do it, they post it on social media.
01:00:11.000 It goes viral, and somehow.
01:00:14.000 They're in trouble.
01:00:15.000 They're the ones facing expulsion, not the vile ghoul who thought it was so hilarious and issued this fake, phony apology.
01:00:22.000 Because then we find out, correct me if I'm wrong here, Nick, that she's quietly behind the scenes leading the charge to get them expelled.
01:00:31.000 So, welcome to college campus in 2026, folks.
01:00:34.000 That's the state of play.
01:00:36.000 Yeah, it's terrifying to think of that.
01:00:37.000 And there's actually more going on today as well.
01:00:40.000 Like, I'm still in a group message with them, you know, just so that they know that they have support and they're keeping me posted on everything that's happening.
01:00:45.000 The college Democrats, the queer club, and another club is now having a protest against Riley, the girl, on campus today, calling the college Republicans and her a campaign of hate.
01:01:04.000 I mean, it's disgusting.
01:01:08.000 But what about all these other people that are there?
01:01:10.000 There have been messages where they've been joking about, oh, well, maybe we'll use our Second Amendment against Riley.
01:01:16.000 Those are in group messages that they have pulled as well.
01:01:20.000 So they're getting direct threats, and none of those kids are being punished for that either.
01:01:27.000 I mean, it's just despicable.
01:01:28.000 The amount of threats going on, it's like a national emergency.
01:01:31.000 Genuinely, it is.
01:01:33.000 But this is the official statement from the, I guess, college Democrats.
01:01:37.000 So watch what they do here, Nick.
01:01:39.000 If you weren't ticked off enough, they are making her out to be the victim.
01:01:44.000 This is obscene.
01:01:45.000 Did you want to read it?
01:01:46.000 Yeah, I think it's a pretty long statement, but.
01:01:49.000 They just say a student at the University of Utah made a distasteful joke about the murder of Charlie Kirk.
01:01:53.000 In response, the University of Utah College Republicans posted an image of her online with the intent of publicly shaming her.
01:01:59.000 It garnered over 6 million views with thousands of hateful comments, doxing her and her family, targeting her appearance, and trying to ruin her life.
01:02:06.000 Despite their request to delete it, college Republican leadership doubled down.
01:02:10.000 Let's jump ahead, and they say college Democrats condemn the online harassment and cyberbullying perpetrated by the college Republicans in the strongest possible terms.
01:02:19.000 We call on the University of Utah administration to create an environment where students can interact without fearing for their safety and to impose consequences on those who encourage participation.
01:02:27.000 So, first of all, it's the fact that they're taking cyberbullying and they're treating that as worse than actual in your face, haha, hey, remember that guy you liked?
01:02:37.000 He's dead.
01:02:38.000 Suck it.
01:02:39.000 That she did.
01:02:40.000 She's normalizing assassination culture, which leads to dead people.
01:02:44.000 Okay.
01:02:44.000 And let me tell you if you have any doubt about that, like just ask us.
01:02:48.000 Okay.
01:02:49.000 So she's normalizing that.
01:02:51.000 She's part of this greater ecosystem.
01:02:53.000 And then they rope in the admin to do their bidding against two kids that did nothing wrong, that were registering people to vote.
01:03:00.000 Gosh, this story will just infuriate you and enrage you in so many different ways.
01:03:06.000 They're very well aware of this, though, aren't they, Nick?
01:03:08.000 I mean, they've been looped in, they know that there's a campaign to get them expelled from school.
01:03:13.000 Absolutely.
01:03:13.000 And I can only imagine what they're going through.
01:03:16.000 And that's why I'm happy to see all the people online rallying around them.
01:03:22.000 You know, people messaging me, offering to help.
01:03:24.000 You know, they've got legal representation now.
01:03:29.000 Luckily, they know that they've got a lot of weight behind them.
01:03:32.000 I want these kids to know that they need to keep pushing because, you know, we're going to have their back as much as we possibly can.
01:03:40.000 And the universities need to learn a lesson as well.
01:03:43.000 That we're just not going to sit and tolerate conservatives and Republicans being harassed and bullied by administrators.
01:03:53.000 We're just not going to do it.
01:03:55.000 So I hope there's a lesson there for them as well.
01:03:57.000 It's not over, though, because it's still technically rescheduled with more information forthcoming.
01:04:04.000 The attorneys believe that they have a pretty good grasp on it, but it's still an ongoing situation.
01:04:10.000 We just got to make sure that we don't turn our head away and then they end up getting.
01:04:15.000 You know, they end up coming back on him.
01:04:17.000 There's a real warning in this about how the left works.
01:04:21.000 That they, I mean, you read the wording of that Democrat statement.
01:04:25.000 They're very good at performative victimhood.
01:04:29.000 They're very good at weaponizing bureaucratic processes.
01:04:32.000 They're complaining about cyberbullying, but this is, in fact, bullying in its truest element we're going to find a way to exploit this system that favors us to hurt you, that will rub something in your face, and when you shove back, we're going to scream and run to the authorities.
01:04:48.000 This is a way of preying on people in the 2020s.
01:04:52.000 Well, this is one of the reasons we love Harmeet Dillon around here.
01:04:55.000 Throw up the image.
01:04:57.000 So, the University of Utah College Republicans posted a video of them that we played here already.
01:05:02.000 She goes, Utah, WTH is going on over there.
01:05:07.000 Yeah.
01:05:08.000 We all have that same question.
01:05:10.000 You don't want Harmeet Dillon coming after your university.
01:05:14.000 So, let's bottom line this for us.
01:05:16.000 I just want to make sure that we don't, okay, to support them right now, just be vigilant, right?
01:05:20.000 Because.
01:05:20.000 Everything's been pushed.
01:05:22.000 A lot of noise was made last night.
01:05:23.000 Everything's pushed.
01:05:24.000 They were trying to drag these kids in to this hearing, by the way, at 8 30 a.m. this morning.
01:05:29.000 8 30 a.m. local time in Utah.
01:05:32.000 I really don't know what the hell's going on in Utah.
01:05:35.000 I'm with Harmeet on this.
01:05:37.000 Something is a foul, something smells fishy in the state of Utah.
01:05:42.000 I don't really fully understand what the heck's going on there.
01:05:44.000 I mean, you've got to think the libs in Utah are very bad.
01:05:50.000 Yeah.
01:05:50.000 Go ahead, Nick.
01:05:51.000 Yeah, well, I mean, they've also got a rhino problem there, too, but that's, I guess, a story for another day.
01:05:56.000 But the fact of the matter is just a couple of miles away is where Charlie was assassinated, right?
01:06:03.000 From this university.
01:06:04.000 And you're seeing this stuff being celebrated that close.
01:06:08.000 I mean, it's just disgusting stuff.
01:06:12.000 And to think that this stuff is happening to college students on other campuses as well, college Republicans have been dealing with this problem for a long time.
01:06:22.000 It's just getting uglier and uglier, right?
01:06:24.000 We just happen to be hearing about this time.
01:06:26.000 What about the ones that we don't hear about?
01:06:29.000 And, you know, of course, they scheduled these things so early in the morning because they were trying to avoid any sort of backlash that, or this exact scenario, really.
01:06:39.000 They didn't want the word getting out.
01:06:40.000 They didn't think that there was going to be a platform big enough for these kids to spur up a bunch of backlash.
01:06:47.000 And that's why, you know, people like us use our platform and use our resources.
01:06:51.000 And, you know, when I texted Harmita about it last night, like she was pissed off too.
01:06:55.000 And, you know, the DOJ.
01:06:58.000 You know, can definitely, if these people make the wrong move, if they do end up trying to expel these two young students, I would say it's going to cost that university a lot of money and the DOJ is going to end up getting directly involved.
01:07:12.000 Yeah, I mean, what is more troubling, even, you know, big picture here, is what I said earlier about what this Sarah girl did.
01:07:20.000 You know, they call it a distasteful joke and then somehow flip it to make them the victims here or make her the victim here.
01:07:26.000 Yeah.
01:07:27.000 But what it is is a normalization of political violence, of assassination culture, of Luigi Mangione, of Tyler Robinson, and they glorify it.
01:07:37.000 They make a joke out of it.
01:07:38.000 They mock it.
01:07:38.000 This is serious stuff, right?
01:07:41.000 We're talking about this wrongful, negligent death claim that we're, you know, at UVU.
01:07:47.000 That is important because we have to ensure that free speech can continue, right?
01:07:53.000 One of the points of doing a lawsuit like that is that you actually make sure it doesn't happen again so that people's lives are protected, right?
01:07:59.000 God forbid that gunmen would have sprayed into the crowd and killed a bunch of students, all right?
01:08:03.000 As well as Charlie, which was obviously horrific and tragic all on its own.
01:08:08.000 But could you imagine if there would have been dozens of family members besides that, right?
01:08:13.000 So we gotta make sure that our places of free speech are safe, are secure, are protected.
01:08:19.000 Nick, you have been stared down by the left.
01:08:22.000 You have stared them back in the eye, and you're a brave guy.
01:08:26.000 You have physical courage, unlike many.
01:08:29.000 It shouldn't have to be this way, though.
01:08:31.000 Explain for our audience, because you've been in the thick of it.
01:08:35.000 How scary some of these environments are, how the left talks about violence, how they talk about killing people.
01:08:41.000 You've seen it up close.
01:08:43.000 Yeah, especially when I go to like anti ice riots and such, where in blue cities like Minneapolis, you're there.
01:08:50.000 You know, we independent reporters, we're there by ourselves with, you know, the police aren't going to respond if they start targeting you or harassing you or, God forbid, try to hurt you.
01:09:01.000 So I have to go to these places in disguise most of the time, just because all it takes is one person.
01:09:07.000 One person to call out your name doesn't matter if anybody else in that crowd knows who you are, right?
01:09:12.000 They'll spark a mob against you, and then that's when you've seen my vehicles destroyed.
01:09:18.000 They've thrown rocks at my head, uh, in through my windows, uh, in Minneapolis.
01:09:24.000 They were jumping on my vehicle just because I existed, yeah, uh, just simply because I existed and I was there filming, I wasn't even talking to anybody 90% of the time, uh, and I sure as hell wasn't.
01:09:38.000 Like, I go there to document.
01:09:41.000 That's what I do.
01:09:42.000 I rarely put myself on camera, right?
01:09:45.000 I want to be behind the camera.
01:09:47.000 I want to show people what's going on because, you know, the mainstream media won't do it.
01:09:51.000 But they're almost, the left is becoming desensitized to the violence that they are, you know, instilling on us.
01:09:59.000 Look at the amount of times that, you know, Trump has been, like, they try to get at Trump now, right?
01:10:05.000 People are desensitized to it.
01:10:06.000 It's like, okay, another day, another assassination attempt.
01:10:10.000 And it's the same thing with them dancing around with cakes celebrating a high profile assassination that happened two miles away.
01:10:18.000 And you know, you got to think about it a lot of the kids on that campus at the University of Utah were in the crowd at UVU.
01:10:24.000 They weren't all UVU students, right?
01:10:27.000 So, they're also celebrating the trauma that a lot of these students who saw it happen firsthand are having to live through now, right?
01:10:36.000 I mean, it's disgusting in that manner as well.
01:10:40.000 They want to signal that they support having you killed if you voice conservative views and they'll think it's funny afterwards.
01:10:48.000 That's what this is communicating.
01:10:51.000 And we've seen it in a bunch of places.
01:10:54.000 And it's defended by people, some of their leading people, like Hassan Piker, do it.
01:11:00.000 People who work for their, who are the ground troops for their congressional campaigns, for their left wing organizations like the ACLU.
01:11:07.000 This is mainstream among them.
01:11:10.000 It is the normalization of the violent murder of your political opponents.
01:11:14.000 Well, and I can't be said enough that what a missed opportunity in the direct aftermath of Charlie's assassination to root out so much of this violence, the networks that support it, the communication networks.
01:11:26.000 And we all got distracted, and a lot of people went down conspiracy lane, and it was a total missed opportunity.
01:11:32.000 I don't want to say full missed opportunity because I should give the Trump administration credit that there have been Antifa cells.
01:11:38.000 There have been arrested, charged, in several cases convicted.
01:11:42.000 If you read the left's posts on Blue Sky, they freak out about this.
01:11:46.000 That's good.
01:11:47.000 And the Treasury Department is continuing its work to root out some of these financial networks.
01:11:53.000 So we praise that as well.
01:11:54.000 But listen, could it have been more?
01:11:57.000 Could it have been more?
01:11:58.000 I mean, yeah, it could have been.
01:11:59.000 We could have made more progress than we have.
01:12:01.000 And we have to stay on it.
01:12:02.000 That has to be a mission.
01:12:04.000 And that's why I love the way you approach this, Nick.
01:12:06.000 You said, watch out, University of Utah, DOJ is now watching you.
01:12:11.000 Like, we are all aware of this, and there will be consequences.
01:12:15.000 Final 30 seconds to you, Nick.
01:12:17.000 Yeah.
01:12:17.000 I mean, again, I just really appreciate you guys stepping up to the plate and not letting these two kids that are just trying to do what's wrong.
01:12:25.000 I mean, they're registering voters, right?
01:12:27.000 They're not doing anything wrong.
01:12:29.000 They're not, you know, look, if they were.
01:12:35.000 If they were calling for violence against this girl or something, then yes, I could maybe see some disciplinary action.
01:12:41.000 But they did the opposite of that, right?
01:12:43.000 I mean, these are some of the two of the nicest kids that I've talked to in the longest time, and they don't deserve this.
01:12:49.000 It's just disgusting.
01:12:50.000 So thank you guys for stepping up.
01:12:52.000 No, thanks for flagging it for us last night, Nick.
01:12:54.000 Really appreciate it.
01:12:55.000 And yeah, we're glad that they got the support they need and have a good feeling about the future of this.
01:13:01.000 But we've got to stay vigilant.
01:13:02.000 We've got to stay vigilant on this one.
01:13:03.000 Nick Sortor, check him out everywhere.
01:13:06.000 He's everywhere.
01:13:07.000 So you can get him everywhere.
