00:18:40.000 After law school, Mayorkas worked as the assistant United States Attorney and was appointed a U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California in L.A. during Clinton and George W. Bush.
00:18:49.000 Mayorkis was a member of the presidential transition team for Barack Hussein Obama before he assumed office in January of 2009, where he led the team responsible for the Department of Justice's criminal division.

00:19:10.000 In May of 2009, the nomination was received by the Senate.

00:21:03.000 But yeah, the presidential centers are telling us that we need to appreciate our differences.
00:21:08.000 But understand, when they say democracy, the state of democracy is very fragile.

00:21:19.000 They do not mean consent to the governed or the will of the people.
00:21:25.000 This is one of the reasons why Mike Pence is going out there and he's saying, we must reject the siren song of populism.

00:21:43.000 These presidential centers, which again, it's hilarious, that somehow we need to go listen to Herbert Hoover's library.

00:22:16.000 Whenever you see multi-institutions, corporations, actors, actresses, sign on to something, somebody is doing the coordinating.
00:22:29.000 And what they're continually trying to do is build this narrative that democracy is under attack and democracy is under attack and democracy is under attack.

00:22:43.000 Now, interesting, which American political party is the one that is not allowing differences to be heard?
