00:03:06.000 Representative Bob Goode, chair of the House Freedom Caucus.
00:03:10.000 Congressman, welcome to the show.
00:03:12.000 Thank you, Andrew.
00:03:13.000 Appreciate you having me.
00:03:13.000 Great to be with you.
00:03:15.000 Well, we appreciate having you, and we appreciate you standing behind President Trump yesterday.
00:03:20.000 As a matter of fact, that's where I'm going to start here.
00:03:21.000 I'm going to play a clip from you outside the courthouse in New York City, 187.
00:03:27.000 This is law fair.
00:03:29.000 Again, to try to steal or to rig an election.
00:03:31.000 You got a corrupt prosecutor.
00:03:33.000 You got a corrupt star witness.
00:03:34.000 You got a corrupt judge whose daughter is one of the leading fundraisers for the Democrat Party, having raised some $100 million.
00:03:42.000 That's the judge's daughter.
00:03:44.000 This is a crooked, sham trial to try to hurt the nominee who's going to be the president of the United States, whether or not they like it or whether or not they want that to happen.
00:03:53.000 President Trump is going to be re-elected.
00:03:55.000 Congressman, tell us how this came about.
00:03:59.000 I mean, you had a whole delegation, Matt Gates, Representative Boebert, Andy Biggs, some of our favorite people.
00:04:06.000 And you chair the House Freedom Caucus, one of the most powerful caucuses in Congress.
00:04:10.000 How did this happen, and why did you feel it was important you went up to New York yesterday?
00:04:15.000 Well, the Freedom Caucus was the best friends in the House that President Trump had in his first term.
00:04:19.000 We plan to be his best friends in the second term.
00:04:21.000 The Freedom Caucus are the true courageous conservative warriors in the House of Representatives.
00:04:26.000 And we unanimously support President Trump.
00:04:28.000 We're behind him.
00:04:29.000 We want to help him get elected.
00:04:30.000 We want to help him enact his 100-day agenda.
00:04:33.000 And we just think it's important for us to come and be the voice that this corrupt judge is not allowing him to be this unprecedented gag order, which instead of trying to ensure the defendant, the accused, gets a fair trial, is designed to prevent him from having a fair trial.
00:04:49.000 So we want to be his mouthpiece boldly and unashamedly say the things that need to be said that he is struggling to be able to say because of this corrupt judge.
00:04:57.000 Yeah, and I think, you know, we talked about this last hour that, yeah, this is a sham trial.
00:05:02.000 Yeah, it's rigged.
00:05:03.000 Yeah, this is New York City.
00:05:04.000 You know, I happen to actually personally believe it's going to be a hung jury.
00:05:08.000 I think Cohen's cross yesterday was completely disastrous for the prosecution.
00:05:13.000 I think actually our prospects are remarkably, miraculously good in this trial, but it should have never been brought.
00:05:22.000 Trump has said that repeatedly.
00:05:23.000 But this is really a trial for the American people to watch.
00:05:28.000 This is about optics.
00:05:29.000 This is about PR.
00:05:29.000 Let's call it what it is.
00:05:31.000 They want to attach convicted felon to the front of Donald Trump's name, and they want to say it repeatedly between now and November.
00:05:39.000 I think that this is more about what the American people see.
00:05:44.000 And what would you say, Congressman, that they are seeing out of this trial?
00:05:50.000 Is the backfire complete?
00:05:51.000 Is it in progress?
00:05:53.000 What is your read on what they see?
00:05:55.000 I think it's demonstrated that it's increasingly in progress for those who maybe didn't already know.
00:06:00.000 But after they obviously worked to rig the election in 2020, they're trying to do the same thing here in 2024.
00:06:06.000 They started, of course, with trying to keep President Trump off the ballot.
00:06:10.000 Thankfully, the Supreme Court stepped in and negated that from happening.
00:06:14.000 But now it's this law affair, it's this legal persecution, it's these rogue prosecutors that are colluding illegally, I might add, with the Department of Injustice under Merrick Garland.
00:06:23.000 So they're trying to weigh him down with getting him off the campaign trail, weigh him down with the cost of the legal battle, and then try, as you said, try to get some kind of a conviction in a crooked Georgia court or a crooked New York court, which ultimately absolutely would be overturned on appeal because these are ridiculous.
00:06:40.000 These are trumped up charges, pun intended there.
00:06:42.000 These false business records allegedly or the other charge that he overstated his assets on a loan application that was paid and everybody made money on.
00:06:53.000 There's no victims.
00:06:54.000 There's no one that's been hurt by these alleged phony crimes that he's being accused of.
00:06:58.000 So I think the American people are seeing what the Democrat Party is desperately trying to do.
00:07:03.000 And I think that's reflected in the polls that moderate swing voters, independents are coming to President Trump.
00:07:08.000 They're flocking to him in the minority community.
00:07:10.000 They're flocking to him.
00:07:11.000 And the young people because everybody was better off three years ago under President Trump.
00:07:15.000 And they know this is just a sham by a desperate president, a desperate Democrat Party.
00:07:20.000 Yeah, I mean, I think that's right.
00:07:21.000 You brought up Merrick Garland yesterday.
00:07:23.000 He was quoted as saying, you know, we're doing everything we can to protect these institutions like the Department of Justice from political interference.
00:07:32.000 And I think, you know, everybody on our side of the aisle collectively wanted to rip our hair out after what we've seen over the last couple of years.
00:07:39.000 Now, I know that the House is moving to still hold him in contempt for not handing over the Robert Hurr video and the tapes of that.
00:07:48.000 We have the transcripts, but I think the tapes are so damning they don't want to let those get out.
00:07:53.000 What is your hope that comes out of this sparring with Merritt Garland?
00:08:00.000 And what can Congress really get accomplished here?
00:08:03.000 Well, to your point, they're not even pretending anymore, really.
00:08:06.000 The abuse of power and the consequence of the stated result, or reported result anyway, of the 2020 election to have a Department of Injustice and an attorney general, and for that matter, an FBI director, who will weaponize the power that they have against conservatives,
00:08:22.000 against political opponents, going after pro-life protesters in SWAT gear in the wee hours of the morning to arrest people in front of their children, whether it's going after those that exercise their Second Amendment rights or those who are practicing their faith or showing up at school board meetings as concerned parents.
00:08:39.000 This abuse of power, this weaponization is unprecedented.
00:08:42.000 They're not even pretending anymore.
00:08:43.000 This willingness to suppress free speech and include with big tech to control information.
00:08:48.000 And so what they would do if they had four more years of this, how could we survive that as a country?
00:08:52.000 So everything's on the line as a constitutional republic.
00:08:55.000 And you're seeing what they will do again, this illegal collusion.
00:09:00.000 They got Michael Colangelo they send to the New York court to work with them after he leaves the Department of Justice.
00:09:06.000 Yeah, and Fonnie Willis, his boyfriend, coming up and meeting with the Department of Injustice to collude on that case, the unbelievable harm that they're trying to do, their unbelievable desperation to cling on to power because they know their goose is cooked when President Trump gets reelected and he comes back into power and he cleans out the swamp.
00:09:26.000 He'll be a whole lot better prepared after four years of suffering through it in his first term to make an even bigger difference in his second term.
00:09:33.000 I've said the same thing, Congressman, that, you know, yeah, it's terrible the country had to go through four years of Joe Biden.
00:09:39.000 But if Donald Trump gets reelected, the amount of perspective and preparation we're going to have for a second Trump term will be rather incredible.
00:09:49.000 I genuinely believe that.
00:09:51.000 So, Congressman, last questions here before we have to let you go.
00:09:55.000 I think I share your disappointment in this Congress.
00:10:00.000 And I'm not going to make you speak into it necessarily if you don't want to.
00:10:04.000 Speaker Mike Johnson's been a massive disappointment.
00:10:06.000 FISA, Section 702, Ukraine aid, no border security.
00:10:13.000 What, if anything, can we have hope in in this Congress before November?
00:10:17.000 Is the marching order just hold the line and get better Republicans via the primary process?
00:10:24.000 What are the marching orders?
00:10:25.000 Well, you kind of said it there at the end, but you're right.
00:10:28.000 And the reason why I have the battle that I have, the enemies that I have in Washington, is it's the very people who voted for the two omnibus spending bills, the UNA party that stuck it to us and kept in place the policies from when Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer had full control of government and actually increased the spending.
00:10:42.000 It's the very people who voted to reauthorize FISA without a warrant requirement.
00:10:46.000 The very people who borrowed, voted to borrow $95 billion and send it overseas and betray the American people and not secure our border and stuck in $9.5 billion for Hamas to buy Democrat votes for the Israel portion of that.
00:10:58.000 Those are the people who are enemies, who hate what we're trying to do.
00:11:01.000 They hate the change we're trying to bring to Washington, hate that Freedom Caucus members expose them as the phonies that they are.
00:11:08.000 So you're right.
00:11:09.000 We can't change Washington.
00:11:10.000 We have the people who are in Washington.
00:11:11.000 So we've got to get new people elected.
00:11:13.000 We've got to defeat some of these rhino incumbents in these races where we've got good Freedom Caucus fighters like Jared Sessler in Washington and Brendan Herrera in Texas and Adam Morgan in South Carolina.
00:11:25.000 We've got to get people like that elected and win these open seats.
00:11:28.000 We've got to get more courageous conservative warriors that will have President Trump's back and stand up and be just as tough as he is and help him enact his agenda in that first hundred days.
00:11:37.000 Congressman, thank you for your leadership, for chairing the House Freedom Caucus.
00:11:41.000 A lot of our best friends are in that caucus.
00:11:44.000 So Godspeed.
00:11:45.000 And I share your enthusiasm for a lot of the names that you just threw out there.
00:11:50.000 We're doing our part at turning point action to get behind a lot of those candidates.
00:11:54.000 So, thank you.
00:11:55.000 Thank you, Congressman.
00:11:56.000 We'll speak with you soon.
00:11:57.000 Thank you, Andrew.
00:11:58.000 Great to be with you.

00:12:55.000 Promo code Kirk.
00:12:58.000 I've been wanting to get to this story for a few days.
00:13:02.000 And I, you know, with this open segment, before we bring Keith in, I think it's the perfect time to do so.
00:13:07.000 So let me set the stage.
00:13:09.000 I know Ryan's pulling a clip that I want to show specifically.
00:13:13.000 There's a gentleman named Winston Marshall.
00:13:16.000 He's a British guy.
00:13:17.000 He was a part of the band Mumford and Sons that was wildly popular.
00:13:24.000 I think they're still pretty popular, but they had hit after hit for a couple of years.
00:13:29.000 And he was at the Oxford Union, and he debated Nancy Pelosi of all people.
00:13:39.000 And he, some of these clips went extremely viral over the internet.
00:13:47.000 And it was a telling scene where you had a band member debating the former Speaker of the House and current Congresswoman, who's one of the most famous political figures actually across the world.
00:14:01.000 She's not just famous here, she's famous across the world.
00:14:04.000 And the basic premise was that from Winston Marshall's perspective, populism is not a threat to democracy.
00:14:13.000 So I consider myself sort of a conservative populist.
00:14:16.000 I'm sure many of you do as well.
00:14:18.000 But it was a remarkable moment where I think inside of the Oxford Union, Pelosi completely won the debate, according to them.
00:14:29.000 Of course, it's a bunch of liberals in college.
00:14:31.000 That's just what's going to happen.
00:14:33.000 But on the internet, outside of that bubble, Winston Marshall clearly got the better of Nancy Pelosi.
00:14:42.000 So let's play a cut from this exchange inside the Oxford Union 202.
00:14:47.000 Words have a tendency to change meaning.
00:14:52.000 When I was a boy, woman meant someone who didn't have a populism has become a word used synonymously with racist.
00:15:04.000 We've heard ethno-nationalist, with bigot, with hellbilly, redneck, with deplorables.
00:15:13.000 Elites use it to show their contempt for ordinary people.
00:15:18.000 Play cut 203.
00:15:20.000 If the motion was that demagoguery was a threat to democracy, I would be on that side of the house.
00:15:28.000 If the motion was that political violence was a threat to democracy, I'd be on that side of the house.
00:15:35.000 January 6th has been mentioned.
00:15:38.000 A dark day for America, indeed.
00:15:41.000 And I'm sure Congresswoman Pelosi will agree that the entire month of June 2020, when the federal courthouse in Portland, Oregon was under siege and under insurrection by radical progressives, those two were dark days for America.
00:16:00.000 There is no problem there.
00:16:03.000 So, yes.
00:16:04.000 So you don't agree.
00:16:05.000 And it's fine.
00:16:05.000 You don't agree.
00:16:06.000 That's fine.
00:16:09.000 So Nancy Pelosi, and this is the part that I found striking.
00:16:14.000 So just to get you guys up to speed, the Oxford Union is a debate between two sides, and both sides have multiple speakers usually that present different viewpoints.
00:16:26.000 It's a very stuffy old school, but I kind of love it.
00:16:28.000 You know, the suits and the bow ties and everybody has to, the quorum.
00:16:32.000 But it's a raucous debate.
00:16:34.000 And actually, Charlie's been invited to do this, and I think he will eventually when the timing's right.
00:16:39.000 But then the fact that Nancy Pelosi got so triggered because she's never been confronted with these ideas that actually, you know, she's not used to hearing this viewpoint articulated brilliantly by Winston Marshall in this moment, but it really triggered her.
00:16:58.000 And he went on a Fox show and said as much.
00:17:02.000 He says, when I'm speaking a couple of times, Madame Pelosi, she mouse at me, who are you?
00:17:07.000 Who are you?
00:17:09.000 Which I will translate, do you know who I am?
00:17:12.000 Fair enough.
00:17:12.000 I'm a nobody.
00:17:14.000 She's entitled to think that.
00:17:16.000 But I thought that was rather arrogant.
00:17:18.000 The aid says, the other thing you cannot see is that something is that at one point when I'm reading out, she looks at me and she goes, why are you doing this?
00:17:29.000 Why are you doing this?
00:17:30.000 Why are you defending real people?
00:17:33.000 Why are you defending the voices that the elites in both the European Union and DC refuse to listen to?
00:17:43.000 Those deplorable, those smelly Walmart people that want to reclaim their culture, that want to defend their borders, these terrible ideas.
00:17:51.000 How dare?
00:17:52.000 How dare somebody defend those ideas?
00:17:55.000 It's just telling to me that Nancy Pelosi was so struck by that.
00:18:00.000 It's like she lives in such a bubble.
00:18:03.000 Anyways, it's a great moment.
00:18:04.000 I encourage everybody to go check out Winston Marshall's Twitter feed for those videos.
00:18:09.000 It's a great debate.
00:18:13.000 Hey, everybody, Charlie Kirk here.
00:18:14.000 What an unbelievable start to 2024.
00:18:16.000 We had last month saving babies with pre-born by providing ultrasounds.
00:18:20.000 And we're doing again this year what we did last year.
00:18:23.000 We're going to stand for life because remaining silent in the face of the most radically pro-death administration is not an option.
00:18:28.000 As Sir Edmund Burke said, the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing, and we're not going to do nothing.
00:18:34.000 Your gift to pre-born will give a girl the truth about what's happening in her body so that she can make the right choice.
00:18:39.000 $280 can save 10 babies.
00:18:42.000 $28 a month can save a baby a month all year long.
00:18:45.000 And a $15,000 gift will provide a complete ultrasound machine that will save thousands of babies for years and years to come.
00:18:51.000 And will also save moms from a lifetime of pain and regret.
00:18:55.000 Call 833-850-2229.
00:18:58.000 That's 833-850-2229.

00:19:15.000 Keith Rose joins us now.
00:19:18.000 Keith, welcome to the show.
00:19:20.000 Thanks, Andrew.
00:19:21.000 All right, we got a lot to talk about.
00:19:23.000 We've been focused on domestic issues.
00:19:24.000 Our show is primarily focused on domestic issues.
00:19:28.000 We're America first here, believe it or not.
00:19:30.000 But Keith, with somebody of your experience and understanding of these global trends, some of this international violence that we've been seeing, I think it's important that we kind of put the pieces together for everybody here.
00:19:44.000 There was a massive story out of Slovakia this week.
00:19:47.000 Prime Minister Robert Fico was shot and gravely wounded on Wednesday.
00:19:52.000 He was visiting a small town of Handlova.
00:19:55.000 And we've got some B-rolls.
00:19:57.000 It's a little graphic.
00:19:59.000 I apologize to the audience, but tell us what happened here, Keith, and what are some of the broader implications regionally with Russia, Ukraine, Poland?
00:20:09.000 It's nestled right in between, I think, Hungary, Poland, and Ukraine.
00:20:13.000 It's a critical little place.
00:20:15.000 Right.
00:20:16.000 And the way the press is trying to spin this after the assassination attempt is they always say assassination attempt against Putin ally or assassination attempt against the leader of Slovakia who's similar to President Trump.
00:20:35.000 I mean, they try to set the headlines to understand, to help you understand why this gentleman had an assassination attempt.
00:20:44.000 And the reason he did is because he has come out as a very hard line against the globalist order.
00:20:51.000 He's come out against the World Health Organization's treaty, their pandemic treaty.
00:20:57.000 And it's interesting because if you actually go on the internet, use the search engines and ask about the assassination attempt, one of the first things you'll find is a fact check that says there is no information that says that Prime Minister Robert Fico was against the WHO pandemic treaty.
00:21:16.000 That is, unless you actually go to the Slovakian news, European news, and you can see multiple articles where he came out against the WHO treaty ever since January of this year.
00:21:29.000 So what they're telling us not to believe with our eyes is what we should understand.
00:21:34.000 So he had that.
00:21:35.000 He's against open borders.
00:21:37.000 He's also against sending money to Ukraine, which they say makes him a Putin ally.
00:21:42.000 But what he does, what no one's talking about, is Ukraine's only accomplishment since the wall fell in 1989, or since the Soviet Union broke up, its only accomplishment is it's the world headquarters for money laundering for all countries that want to hide money.
00:22:00.000 I mean, it's a Swiss Army knife of money laundering.
00:22:03.000 So he's not for that.
00:22:05.000 He's not for the world pandemic treaty.
00:22:09.000 And he's also not for open borders.
00:22:11.000 And he's for the people.
00:22:14.000 And because of that, he's now a Putin ally or a Trump apologist.
00:22:18.000 And that's how they're trying to frame it.
00:22:19.000 Yeah.
00:22:20.000 So you'll, yeah, exactly to your point.
00:22:21.000 You'll hear people describe FICO or FICO as a right-wing guy, but it's really not that simple.
00:22:27.000 His party's actually left-wing on a lot of economic issues.
00:22:31.000 And I think they identify as a social democratic party, which basically means socialism.
00:22:36.000 But they're also, you know, they're kind of like old school Bernie, right?
00:22:40.000 Where it's like anti-immigration, sympathetic to Russia, also sounds Bernie-esque.
00:22:47.000 Anti-American, anti-LGBT LGBTQ.
00:22:51.000 They kind of follow this almost Hungary model, it seems like.
00:22:56.000 I mean, this little block, Hungary, Slovakia, and, you know, but they're also anti-American.
00:23:00.000 So I think it's not that simple.
00:23:03.000 And the shooter was a 71-year-old former security guard.
00:23:07.000 And they're saying he's a lone wolf.
00:23:09.000 And what's really sick to me, Keith, is that the media is basically saying this guy had it coming because he stoked division within.
00:23:18.000 I mean, you know, as if this an assassination attempt against a world leader is somehow justifiable.
00:23:25.000 I find it really sick.
00:23:26.000 But we can, yeah, go ahead, Keith, if you have something to add.
00:23:30.000 I was just going to say, where do you hear the same lines you just said to me that you're hearing about this prime minister?
00:23:36.000 It's the same lines you hear about President Trump.
00:23:38.000 It's the same lines you hear about anyone that goes against the globalist agenda.
00:23:43.000 They don't care that he might be more socialist.
00:23:46.000 What they care about is he doesn't support a treaty, the World Health Organization pandemic treaty, which really is a major power grab and a big shift in the global order.
00:23:59.000 And so since he's not for that, I think they're against him.
00:24:02.000 As far as what the newspapers report, well, we all know how the news gets their news and what they're told to say.
00:24:08.000 So it's really hard to dig through the smoke in the mirrors to find out why.
00:24:13.000 Let's turn our attention to NATO in Ukraine, Russia.
00:24:19.000 So there's New York Times has it this morning.
00:24:22.000 As Russia advances, NATO considers sending trainers into Ukraine, trainers into Ukraine.
00:24:28.000 And the Times follows up by saying the move could draw the United States and Europe more directly into the war.
00:24:34.000 The Biden administration continues to say that America will have no troops on the ground.
00:24:39.000 Trainers.
00:24:40.000 What do you make of this, Keith?
00:24:42.000 Is this special ops?
00:24:44.000 What are trainers?
00:24:46.000 Well, first of all, we need to understand what NATO is.
00:24:49.000 NATO is completely toothless without the U.S. If the U.S. has no presence, NATO has no strength.
00:24:57.000 NATO can't run air missions because they don't have air tankers.
00:25:01.000 Only the U.S. does.
00:25:02.000 So without direct U.S. support, it's more of a newspaper headline and not a real credible threat.
00:25:11.000 Now, trainers can mean a lot of different things.
00:25:13.000 I'm sure there's certain groups that could put people in as trainers, as denied assets.
00:25:19.000 But for NATO to be an actual threat and an actual deterrence against Russia, they're going to have to do not only micro, but macro things like have air missions.
00:25:32.000 They need that type of logistics support.
00:25:35.000 And you can't get that from a deniable source.
00:25:37.000 You have to get that from a major nation state.
00:25:40.000 So I think it's a lot of posturing right now.
00:25:42.000 It's really hard to know what's actually going on in Ukraine.
00:25:45.000 I have several people I know there, and you're not getting the reports on the news.
00:25:51.000 And again, what I tell folks is: look at what you're not seeing.
00:25:54.000 You're not seeing video after video of Ukraine's success.
00:25:59.000 And believe me, if they were having any, you would see videos of it because that fits the current narrative.
00:26:04.000 And right now, Ukraine's running short on personnel.
00:26:08.000 They're kidnapping people to enlist, quote unquote, into their military.
00:26:12.000 So they're having a lot of issues.
00:26:14.000 So I don't think NATO trainers are the answer unless NATO trainers is a cover for a big country, i.e. United States, to come in and provide the logistical support, especially for air missions, which is the only way they're going to be able to move forward.
00:26:31.000 Yeah, well, it's interesting off the heels of this $60 billion package that was approved by Congress by the UNI party.
00:26:39.000 And then there was another announcement of a billion dollars worth of arms going over.
00:26:45.000 Biden just, the White House just announced that a couple of days ago.
00:26:50.000 You mentioned this kidnapping.
00:26:51.000 I mean, it's forced conscriptions in Ukraine.
00:26:54.000 I mean, the average Ukrainian soldier is now 42 years old.
00:26:57.000 So they've killed off a whole generation of Ukrainian men, which is a total tragedy.
00:27:04.000 Now, Keith, without giving away too much of your how you gather this information, what are people on the ground telling you about essentially a lot of this is a stalemate without and really it's Russian gains, if anything, that's happened lately.
00:27:23.000 Do we have a clear idea of what the next couple of months in Ukraine are going to hold?
00:27:27.000 Are they going to try and mount another counteroffensive?
00:27:29.000 What are you hearing on the ground?
00:27:33.000 I don't believe they can mount our counteroffensive because they have nothing to mount it with.
00:27:38.000 If you look at a lot of the pictures of the quote successes coming out of Ukraine and then search the internet on background imaging, some people that are very good at ASEAN open source intelligence, you'll find out that a lot of these are doctored pictures.
00:27:52.000 And so, when you're having to run propaganda as success, that tells me you're not being successful.
00:27:58.000 That on top of what you just said, when the average soldier is 42, infantry active kinetic work is usually a young man's game.
00:28:09.000 And so it's not boding well.
00:28:13.000 And you also have in Ukraine, you have a lot of people that want to be a part of Russia that like Russia, especially in Crimea.
00:28:20.000 And so, again, put that on top of not getting accurate news information from just not only the kinetic side, but the actual side that talks about the economics of it.
00:28:32.000 And Andrew, you mentioned $60 billion was just appropriated for Ukraine.
00:28:36.000 To put that in context, at the height of both Afghanistan and Iraq, during the height of both of our wars in those two countries or our military interventions at the height of it in both countries together, I think our total spend that year was $42 billion.
00:28:57.000 Don't quote me, but it was around in the $40 billion.
00:28:59.000 So you're talking about where we had major Ford operating bases.
00:29:03.000 We're running constant missions in two separate countries.
00:29:07.000 We have hundreds of thousands of troops or tens of thousands of troops in some places.
00:29:12.000 And our total spend was $42 billion.
00:29:15.000 And you need $60 billion for a country that we're not even in.
00:29:19.000 So the question should be asked: why are we spending that much money and where is it going?
00:29:25.000 But Congress can ask that question because they refuse to allow oversight for that money.
00:29:30.000 Yeah, well, I mean, and you know, there's a lot of speculation.
00:29:33.000 I mean, even CIA Director Burns apparently flew to Ukraine and warned the oligarchs there to stop stealing so much off the top.
00:29:42.000 So a lot of bad signs from a bad person, Keith.
00:29:47.000 Yeah.
00:29:50.000 Keith, is it scalpels or scalpel?
00:29:52.000 I'm just, I'm playing.
00:29:53.000 It's the scalpel with Dr. Keith Rose.
00:29:55.000 The scalpel.
00:29:56.000 Well, the edge.
00:29:57.000 It's an amazing scalpel edge.
00:29:59.000 Yeah.
00:30:00.000 Yeah, it's an amazing podcast.
00:30:02.000 I listen to it all the time.
00:30:04.000 Dr. Rose, it's safe to say you've spent probably a majority of your time abroad in the Middle East region, I would say.
00:30:14.000 You've developed a lot of sources there, a lot of connections, a lot of relationships.
00:30:18.000 You're hearing something out of Iran, Hamas, Israel, this part of the world that's so hot right now.
00:30:24.000 Tell us what you're learning.
00:30:26.000 Sure.
00:30:27.000 To understand everything about what's going on with Hamas, you need to understand what's going on in Iran.
00:30:34.000 And of course, Israel and Iran had a little dust up a while back.
00:30:39.000 If you remember back in April, Israel flew an air mission inside of Iran and made some strategic strikes in some very sensitive areas.
00:30:48.000 That was what was seen on the news.
00:30:51.000 What wasn't seen on the news is when Israel did that air mission, they came in and left, and the Iranian military could not figure out where the jets came from or where they went to, i.e., they were employing a stealth technology that completely woke up Iran as far as from a military standpoint.
00:31:16.000 Iran has the K-3000, the Russian air defense system.
00:31:20.000 It's their premier air defense system.
00:31:22.000 And they were completely blinded.
00:31:26.000 They had no idea where they came from or where they went.
00:31:30.000 And it played out later when Iran shot the ballistic missiles at Israel.
00:31:34.000 We heard about that.
00:31:35.000 That was their response to that air attack.
00:31:38.000 Except the missiles, when they hit, nothing happened.
00:31:43.000 And when the DOD, the ordinance experts were sent out to do a battle damage assessment, a BDA, they found out that the warheads in the Iranian missiles were empty.
00:31:55.000 There was no payload.
00:31:56.000 And that was intentional.
00:31:58.000 Iran had to save face by shooting missiles, but they didn't want to anger Israel anymore because they realized Israel has a very large advantage on them.
00:32:10.000 So now you go to Hamas.
00:32:12.000 Iran is tired of Hamas.
00:32:15.000 And to understand what's going on, we need to see who's not saying anything.
00:32:20.000 And that's Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority.
00:32:24.000 You're not hearing a word from him.
00:32:26.000 That's a good point.
00:32:27.000 And what I believe is that he has backed off with the support of Iran, and they're just allowing Israel to go in there and take care of Hamas.
00:32:37.000 See, Israel is making strategic strikes.
00:32:40.000 They're using their special operations units, and they're making it where the Hamas leadership can't stick their heads out in the light of day.
00:32:47.000 And when you can't be present in the public square, you can't govern.
00:32:53.000 And so I think they're creating a void that the Palestinian Authority will come in and fill.
00:32:59.000 And most of all, that region is kind of tired of war right now.
00:33:03.000 And so while they're, and the other way you can connect that, here's something a lot of people don't know is that Mahmoud Abbas and the current religious leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini, I believe it's Khomeini, Khomeini.
00:33:16.000 I'm sorry, Ayatollah Khomeini, both were graduates of Patrice Lamato University, Lombardo, I think, University in Moscow.
00:33:29.000 And this was a university, they were the class in 1968.
00:33:33.000 And the reason I know that is because they're in the yearbook together.
00:33:37.000 And they met back then because Russia used to bring in third world leaders to that university.
00:33:43.000 You had to be invited.
00:33:45.000 And that's where they were indoctrinated.
00:33:47.000 That's where they were trained and then sent back to their countries.
00:33:51.000 And so they're very close.
00:33:52.000 So Mahmoud Abbas and the current religious leader of Iran were friends since 1968.
00:33:59.000 And they have a tight relationship that goes way back.
00:34:03.000 So I think they're sitting back and watching Hamas get pummeled and they're just tired of them.
00:34:09.000 And I can tell you, I talked to someone this morning in the UAE, and he said that the Kurds in Kurdistan and the Iraqis normally always, they fought, they're getting along.
00:34:19.000 In fact, they're working together because the Iraqis are getting tired of the Iranians.
00:34:25.000 He said, I realized the Iranians would wear out their welcome.
00:34:28.000 And I think they're doing it more and more because what I understand now is Iraq and northern Iraq or the Kurds have made a deal on the Ambar oil gas play, and they're going to work on getting that gas sent in through Jordan through Aqaba.
00:34:44.000 And if they do that, it will stabilize the region.
00:34:47.000 Right now, the Middle East is tired of war and they want Americans to come in, but not militarily.
00:34:53.000 They want American businesses to come in.
00:34:56.000 And that seems to be the overriding thing.
00:34:58.000 Dr. Rose, God bless you, man.
00:35:00.000 Be well.
00:35:01.000 Thanks, Andrew.
00:35:02.000 Be safe.
