The Charlie Kirk Show - Why a Secular America Can't Survive

00:00:00.000 Hey everybody, my conversation from Sun Valley, Idaho.

00:00:03.000 I frame of what this election is all about, then I take questions from the audience.

00:00:06.000 It's one of my favorite conversations I've had recently, hosted by the Sun Valley Policy Forum.

00:00:26.000 Buckle up, everybody.

00:00:26.000 Here we go.

00:00:27.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.

00:00:29.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus.

00:00:31.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.

00:00:35.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks!

00:00:38.000 I want to thank Charlie.

00:00:39.000 He's an incredible guy.

00:00:40.000 His spirit, his love of this country.

00:00:42.000 He's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA.

00:00:48.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.

00:00:57.000 That's why we are here.

00:01:26.000 Great to see you!

00:01:26.000 Hello everybody!

00:01:27.000 Actually, I can't see you yet.

00:01:29.000 It's great to be here.

00:01:30.000 I love Idaho, and I've wanted to come to Sun Valley for quite some time, and it's great to be here.

00:01:36.000 And largely because I always watch it from the news, because I think the downfall of Western civilization is planned down the street.

00:01:43.000 No, I'm half kidding.

00:01:45.000 You got a lot of characters that visit here every so often, but went on a great hike today.

00:01:50.000 Thank you to those of you that went to the radio program earlier.

00:01:53.000 It was a lot of fun and super warmly received.

00:01:57.000 I want to spend the most time on your questions and also the fireside chat, but There's one thing I want to make sure I emphasize here tonight.

00:02:04.000 There's just one thing that you remember from my message.

00:02:08.000 It's the following.

00:02:08.000 It's that the people who are destroying the country, they are not making a series of mistakes.

00:02:14.000 They're doing so intentionally.

00:02:16.000 And I said this previously at lunch.

00:02:17.000 And this is what we call the great divide right now between how you analyze what's happening in the country.

00:02:23.000 If you are to believe that the current ruling class or regime are making a bunch of mistakes, then you have to tell me that keeping a border completely wide open and spending trillions of dollars that we do not have, sending billions of dollars overseas unnecessarily, the destruction of the American dollar, allowing men and female sports, so on and so forth, reversing Title IX, that this is just a bunch of people that don't know what they're doing.

00:02:47.000 And they know exactly what they're doing.

00:02:49.000 And I think it's important for us to go back into a period of time.

00:02:52.000 And I understand why people are reluctant to talk the way I talk about this.

00:02:57.000 Because you have to then acknowledge and admit that you are now a stranger in your own country.

00:03:03.000 And that is not a really comforting thing to hear, that the people that are in charge don't share the core American values or principles.

00:03:12.000 I travel the country.

00:03:12.000 Let me be clear.

00:03:13.000 I go to college campuses.

00:03:14.000 The American people still share the American core values and principles, but the people in charge do not.

00:03:20.000 So in the 1970s, 1980s, there was a paper that was written.

00:03:24.000 Everyone should know about it.

00:03:24.000 It's called the Cloward-Piven Strategy.

00:03:26.000 It was two political scientists, and they were communists.

00:03:29.000 Outward Marxists and communists.

00:03:31.000 And they wanted to destroy America. 0.53

00:03:32.000 They wanted to turn it into something different.

00:03:34.000 They hated free market capitalism.

00:03:35.000 They did not like private property rights.

00:03:37.000 And they said the way that America will be destroyed, and this is called the Cloward-Piven Strategy, will be three things.

00:03:45.000 Step one.

00:03:46.000 Have America borrow so much money and spend so much money that the American dollar is totally worthless.

00:03:52.000 But the dollar means nothing and we engage in unprecedented inflation.

00:03:56.000 Step two, build a deep state bureaucracy or an administrative state that swallows the private sector and the power and the influence in society is not found in entrepreneurs or risk takers, but instead it's found in experts, as Scott Rasmussen said earlier, a council of an expert class that will rule over the American people.

00:04:16.000 Step three, open up the borders and invite the third world and overwhelm schools, overwhelm the hospitals, overwhelm your public infrastructure, and confuse citizen from foreigner, because then citizen means nothing. 1.00

00:04:28.000 They wrote in great detail exactly what we are living through right now.

00:04:32.000 And you can look at it, people all the time say, Charlie, there's no way that our people in charge, how could they be this sinister?

00:04:39.000 And I'm actually uniquely qualified to answer that question.

00:04:43.000 Because I visit college campuses so you don't have to.

00:04:47.000 And since I visit college campuses so you don't have to, I see what is coming next.

00:04:53.000 And so I'm able to go to events like this, and I've been doing this for the last 12 years, and warn people, hey, there's some really radical stuff coming, and you should probably be worried about what's happening on these university campuses.

00:05:04.000 We'll talk about this, I'm sure, in the fireside chat.

00:05:08.000 I believe that 95%, probably 99% of universities are completely lost and will never be saved.

00:05:14.000 They should be metaphorically burned to the ground. 0.92

00:05:16.000 Well, and some of them should actually be burned to the ground. 0.99

00:05:18.000 And by the way, the fact that that's not being met by applause by many of you is because that's a shocking statement, but it's absolutely true. 0.95

00:05:23.000 Those Hamas protests that you saw, they are not an exception.

00:05:26.000 It is the rule of the ideological cancer that our campuses have become.

00:05:32.000 And so when I go to these college campuses and I have a chance to debate with professors, understand, it all makes sense.

00:05:39.000 The bitterness that they have towards Western civilization and towards America is so, it is so evident.

00:05:46.000 And it is rooted in a couple different perspectives.

00:05:48.000 The first of which is they believe that America from its founding was an unjust experiment.

00:05:54.000 This is why the 1619 Project was not some inconsequential textbook.

00:05:59.000 They believe that America was racist from its founding, colonialist, it has always been terrible and will always be terrible because we believe in things such as the individual succeeding, we believe in the nuclear family, we believe that there is a God and we are not him.

00:06:16.000 These are all at odds with secular Marxism that you'll find in the academy.

00:06:20.000 And so you see that then metamorphosize into now the ruling class orthodoxy.

00:06:26.000 And the orthodoxy amongst those who are in charge of society is they have contempt for the country that they are running.

00:06:34.000 And that is exactly what you're seeing happen with the Biden regime.

00:06:37.000 And I use that term intentionally.

00:06:38.000 Regime?

00:06:39.000 He's not running the country.

00:06:40.000 We know that, okay?

00:06:41.000 So let's not fool ourselves, okay?

00:06:42.000 That's a sideshow.

00:06:44.000 There is a group of people who call themselves experts who have unjust authority over our life and the direction of our civilization.

00:06:53.000 And a brief sidestep here.

00:06:56.000 A perfect example of that is Anthony Fauci.

00:06:58.000 If you want a living example, your government has 5,000 Anthony Fauci's.

00:07:04.000 You think there's only one of them?

00:07:06.000 No, there's Anthony Fauci at the FBI, at the Department of Justice.

00:07:09.000 Now, what do I mean by that?

00:07:11.000 People that have no wisdom, lots of credentials, who have failed upwards for 40 years.

00:07:17.000 How about we, the American people, get an apology from Anthony Fauci?

00:07:19.000 I don't know, for ruining young people's lives for two years?

00:07:23.000 But we won't.

00:07:25.000 Because an apology Means that you did something wrong.

00:07:30.000 And the expert class will never acknowledge they did anything wrong.

00:07:33.000 Ever.

00:07:34.000 It's just full, blunt, brute force against the American people.

00:07:37.000 So, you look at the Cloward-Piven strategy and what we're living through right now, the status quo, and I write about this in my upcoming book, which I call Right-Wing Revolution, which I'll tell you why I picked that title.

00:07:48.000 It's very understated, obviously.

00:07:50.000 And I'll tell you why, because I choose my words very carefully, is that We have lived through a cultural Marxist, slow but steady revolution that has lasted 50 years.

00:08:04.000 And again, that is a hard truth to swallow.

00:08:08.000 Because in order to swallow that truth, we must all acknowledge and admit that we were not taking this as seriously as we should have 30 years ago, 20 years ago, 10 years ago.

00:08:19.000 And honestly, it's because we were prioritizing things that matter more than politics.

00:08:24.000 You were raising your kids.

00:08:25.000 You were building your churches, building your businesses, taking care of your neighbors.

00:08:31.000 And as America has become more secular, so not religious, people need to fill that void and politics is the perfect substitute religion for a secular society.

00:08:43.000 It gives people meaning, it gives them purpose, it gives them community.

00:08:47.000 So as America has become less focused on a belief in a central belief in God, then politics becomes infinitely more important.

00:08:55.000 And so the question in front of us, which we'll explore tonight, is then how do you then defeat a regime that seems to control almost every institution And they don't even care about the nation that they are stewarding.

00:09:09.000 And I hope you understand, you know, there's so much negativity in our textbooks, which is not warranted, about Rockefeller and Carnegie and JPMorgan and the Robert Barons of the early 20th century.

00:09:19.000 Yes, okay, some of them could have obviously acted better, but we all know those titans of industry.

00:09:24.000 What did Rockefeller and Carnegie do with their money?

00:09:27.000 They gave it back to the country.

00:09:30.000 Rockefeller donated land and we have Acadia National Park in Maine because of him.

00:09:35.000 We have parts of Grand Teton and Yellowstone because of him.

00:09:38.000 We have universities thanks to Carnegie Mellon, thanks to Andrew Carnegie.

00:09:41.000 So then you ask, well, what is our current ruling class spending money on?

00:09:45.000 Elon Musk aside.

00:09:47.000 They spend money to then incinerate the very country that they have everything over.

00:09:55.000 And there really is no other explanation that you are being driven by a wicked ideology at that point.

00:10:00.000 It's not about making the world a better place.

00:10:02.000 That's the story they tell themselves, obviously.

00:10:04.000 Oh, we're trying to fight climate change.

00:10:06.000 They don't believe in that, obviously.

00:10:07.000 If they were fighting climate change, they would sell all their homes in Martha's Vineyard immediately.

00:10:11.000 They don't believe it.

00:10:11.000 Of course not.

00:10:13.000 They're walking contradictions.

00:10:15.000 No, it's about power for power's sake.

00:10:18.000 And so how do you defeat that?

00:10:20.000 Well, we'll talk about that in a second in the Fireside Chat, and I lay this out in the book because it's time now for a revolution against the counter-revolution.

00:10:28.000 As a counter-revolution.

00:10:30.000 And our ask is very simple, which is that we want what used to be considered non-controversial to be reinstituted.

00:10:41.000 We want a border.

00:10:43.000 We want men to no longer be able to go in female locker rooms in over 20 states across the country. 0.96

00:10:49.000 We say that children should be off-limits from medical mutilation that they call trans-affirming care, which is happening all across the country. 0.98

00:10:57.000 And we also believe, very simply, that the American dollar should not be intentionally eroded time and time again through deficit spending sprees in Washington, D.C.

00:11:07.000 Just very simple and basic stuff.

00:11:09.000 But it's going to require, and that's what I'm trying to do at Turning Point every single day, there is one thing left that they do not control.

00:11:16.000 They control the FBI, Department of Justice, Google, Goldman Sachs.

00:11:20.000 They do not control the American people, and it terrifies them.

00:11:24.000 On a daily basis, their obsession, they say their obsession is Donald Trump.

00:11:29.000 Wrong.

00:11:30.000 I could tell you why.

00:11:32.000 They will make excuses for every one of their politicians for the very same behavior that Donald Trump makes.

00:11:35.000 It's not about Trump.

00:11:37.000 It's about the beast that Donald Trump awoke.

00:11:40.000 And it's you.

00:11:41.000 The American people.

00:11:42.000 It's that you are in the room now.

00:11:44.000 And you're not supposed to.

00:11:45.000 Because understand, and Scott Rasmussen said it perfectly on my show earlier.

00:11:50.000 He said, they believe in the politics of administration.

00:11:50.000 Perfectly.

00:11:54.000 The politics of the experts.

00:11:56.000 Anthony Fauci sitting in a room deciding whether or not your senior in high school gets to go to prom.

00:12:03.000 That some guy in DC gets to make the decision that you have to go wear a cloth mask when you're hiking alone on a trail.

00:12:12.000 And what's not supposed to happen is in this new era of the governance of the experts is the deplorable people are not allowed a seat at the table.

00:12:27.000 They're not allowed input.

00:12:29.000 And that is truly what we are now debating as a country.

00:12:32.000 And it's so much bigger than Trump versus Biden.

00:12:35.000 I'm telling anyone who will listen what's it actually.

00:12:37.000 We are now debating what is the form and the structure of the very government we are going to have for the next hundred years.

00:12:43.000 Is the form or the structure going to be one of an oligarchy where you have two parties that pretend to fight each other all the time, but they agree on the big stuff?

00:12:54.000 Like they agree on borrowing money and keeping the borders open.

00:12:56.000 They agree on sending money to Ukraine.

00:12:58.000 They agree on the big stuff and they'll disagree on like the little stuff, but the country still continues to fall apart.

00:13:04.000 Where you have a politics of administration or the administration of politics where you are immediately considered a smarter person because you went to Harvard.

00:13:14.000 And you might have a lot of knowledge or have a lot of intelligence.

00:13:16.000 You have no wisdom if you went to Harvard.

00:13:18.000 None.

00:13:18.000 These are people that believe men give birth, not an exaggeration.

00:13:22.000 By the way, just so you're clear, almost every college teaches men give birth today in America.

00:13:26.000 So if you're sending your grandkid to college, that is doctrinaire, mainstream curriculum, and I'm a transphobe for saying that men don't give birth.

00:13:35.000 These people have no wisdom, but they have unbelievable ferocity to take over the country.

00:13:40.000 And so the hope lies in the everyday American.

00:13:45.000 And they are very worried, they being the oligarchy and the ruling class.

00:13:49.000 And to give them a name, it's Soros, it's Susan Rice, it's John Podesta, it's Hillary Clinton, it's Chuck Schumer, it's Nancy Pelosi, it's Mark Zuckerberg, it's Bill Gates, it's, you know, some of the folks that come near here.

00:14:01.000 They are annoyed about We the People.

00:14:05.000 2024 is very simple.

00:14:07.000 It's, do you want to be governed by We the People or We the Experts?

00:14:11.000 It's that simple.

00:14:12.000 And it should be We the People.

00:14:14.000 That is our birthright, by the way.

00:14:15.000 This election is about a restoration or an elimination of our birthright.

00:14:20.000 Because oligarchies, that's a really, really bad way to run a country.

00:14:24.000 And to be honest, like, I might offend some people, you are all going to get really rich if the oligarchy continues.

00:14:29.000 A lot of people in this room, this will not impact you, but your kids will not have a country.

00:14:34.000 And I hear it all the time.

00:14:35.000 People like literally the other day, well, Charlie, my stocks have done really well under Biden and You know, my 401k and, you know, my asset prices are higher.

00:14:44.000 I was like, okay, that is an unbelievably self-centered way of looking at the world.

00:14:48.000 Like, okay, great, yes, when you print more money and you deploy more liquidity in the system, if you own homes, that value will artificially get higher because there's less goods, there's more dollar bills chasing less goods.

00:14:59.000 But what country are you gonna have a house in, exactly?

00:15:03.000 Or how about, do you think that your grandkids will be raised in the same nation that you were in?

00:15:07.000 Of course not.

00:15:09.000 And so that the question in front of us is do we think the American people combined through a constitutional republic system have the wisdom to properly govern and steer us through this unknown chapter or period or we finally say the Constitution was a bad idea?

00:15:28.000 We are going to give all of our power to a bunch of PhDs from Yale.

00:15:31.000 That's the question in front of us.

00:15:32.000 Let's do our fireside chat.

00:15:33.000 Thanks guys.

00:15:34.000 That was fantastic.

00:15:43.000 I want to talk about all the things we talked about.

00:15:43.000 Thank you, Charlie.

00:15:47.000 So we can go through a little bit of that.

00:15:49.000 We're going to take some questions.

00:15:50.000 We've got some time.

00:15:52.000 We do have a core topic that we talk about the Constitution.

00:15:57.000 And you like to talk about freedom of religion in the Constitution and why that is one of the most important clauses Yeah, and I mean, I'm a deeply religious person, but even if you are not religious, you have to be intellectually honest that the country was better when more Americans took their religion seriously.

00:16:21.000 Period.

00:16:21.000 And it's absolutely true.

00:16:24.000 And you might say that the two are not related.

00:16:27.000 I completely disagree.

00:16:29.000 I think that it was better when most Americans believed that there was a creator of the universe that was not them, and they did not desire to be the creator of the world.

00:16:40.000 I think it's just a better world to live in when you have that operating belief.

00:16:43.000 And I could tell you that If you think, if you think it's okay, I'm not saying anyone has this belief, but just if you think it's okay that America loses its religious flavor or fervor, look to Europe what happens as they all of a sudden have become less religious.

00:16:57.000 That continent is a husk of its former self.

00:17:01.000 And you lose the moral center.

00:17:02.000 There's a reason why.

00:17:03.000 And this is a very important point.

00:17:06.000 John Adams famously said, who's one of my favorite founding fathers, he famously said, the Constitution was written wholly for a moral and religious people.

00:17:15.000 It is inadequate for the people of any other. 0.99

00:17:18.000 So basically, the form and structure that I just spent time talking about, you really can't continue if America becomes completely secular.

00:17:26.000 And there's a reason for it.

00:17:28.000 If you have a body politic that believes that there is a God who judges them and believe that there's a God who cares about how they act and that God wants you to do certain things, you don't need the voluminous laws that we have in our society where we have 900,000 laws if you count the Federal Register and the Federal Code and so on and so forth.

00:17:48.000 So I just want to say that, first and foremost.

00:17:51.000 Secondly, we've always been lectured about separation of church and state.

00:17:55.000 That is not in the Constitution.

00:17:56.000 But for argument's sake, let's pretend that's actually something that's in the Constitution.

00:18:00.000 Instead, it's free exercise of religion and the establishment clause that Congress shall make no law abridging or respecting the religion thereof.

00:18:09.000 However, you know, Thomas Jefferson wrote in a single letter in 1807 to the Danbury Baptist Convention, he said, to the Danbury Baptists, we have separation of church and state.

00:18:18.000 Interestingly, because the Baptists were really worried the government was going to come after them.

00:18:23.000 Okay, so then the Warren Court or the Burger Court in the 60s, they resurrected this idea of separation of church and state, and they said, we cannot have any church in the state.

00:18:31.000 Okay, well, during COVID, if we have separation of church and state, why was the state allowed to shut down the church?

00:18:38.000 Oh, so you don't mean separation of church and state.

00:18:40.000 You mean that the state can control the church, but the church can't have any input in the state.

00:18:44.000 That's what this has all been about.

00:18:44.000 Got it.

00:18:46.000 Because they don't mean separation of church and state.

00:18:48.000 They've always meant separation of morality and state.

00:18:51.000 And nobody in this room believes that.

00:18:53.000 That at some point, you will have to make a moral decision.

00:18:57.000 And we're seeing this in the West right now.

00:18:58.000 And I see it firsthand when I visit these college campuses.

00:19:00.000 And you can watch my videos ad nauseum.

00:19:03.000 Eventually, you have to get down to a truth claim.

00:19:06.000 And we as Christians believe in very simple truth claims.

00:19:09.000 Ones that we can all agree on is the Ten Commandments. 0.94

00:19:12.000 And so eventually someone on college campus will say, why is it wrong for a 13 year old to chop off their breasts? 1.00

00:19:19.000 Like, I see nothing wrong with that.

00:19:20.000 So now we're talking wrong and right, good and evil.

00:19:23.000 And if there is no transcendent standard, To be able to judge off of that, well, then that's how you get tens of thousands of kids that are medically mutilating themselves every single year.

00:19:33.000 If we think we can fix our problems in the West by continuing to be more secular, I think we're fooling ourselves.

00:19:41.000 That's good.

00:19:46.000 We had a governor in Louisiana just pass a law.

00:19:49.000 Yeah, why don't you talk about that?

00:19:50.000 The Ten Commandments.

00:19:51.000 That was really bold.

00:19:52.000 Of course, MSNBC did not.

00:19:55.000 Oh no, they attacked me for saying something good about it.

00:19:58.000 So, first of all, how many of you guys know the Ten Commandments are actually in the Supreme Court building?

00:20:03.000 Moses is in the Supreme Court building.

00:20:04.000 This is not controversial, okay?

00:20:06.000 By the way, I would love any MSNBC host, they can even study ahead of time, to come on my show, can you name the Ten Commandments, okay?

00:20:12.000 Can you?

00:20:13.000 I am the Lord, your God, who delivered you from Egypt. 0.52

00:20:15.000 You shall have no other gods before me.

00:20:16.000 You shall have no images in the form of no idols, right?

00:20:19.000 Honor the Sabbath day and to keep it holy.

00:20:21.000 You shall not carry or take the Lord's name in vain.

00:20:23.000 Honor your mother and father so they may live long in the land of which you are in.

00:20:27.000 Do not murder.

00:20:28.000 Do not steal.

00:20:29.000 Do not commit adultery.

00:20:30.000 And of course, do not covet.

00:20:32.000 I think I skipped over one.

00:20:33.000 Do not steal.

00:20:33.000 Do not murder.

00:20:34.000 Do not... Do not give false witness.

00:20:37.000 Do not lie, essentially.

00:20:37.000 Thank you.

00:20:39.000 So, by the way, who could... So, I asked the question.

00:20:44.000 I asked the question of anybody who's secular.

00:20:46.000 Okay, forget the first four, okay?

00:20:48.000 The last six.

00:20:50.000 Why do you have a problem with those?

00:20:51.000 I mean, like, do not murder?

00:20:53.000 Do not steal?

00:20:55.000 And the reason the Ten Commandments must be—I mean, the ACLU is suing.

00:20:59.000 They're losing their mind over this.

00:21:01.000 Again, this is what they spend their nonprofit money on, trying to remove the Ten Commandments from our schools.

00:21:05.000 And the reason is this, is that they cannot finish their transformation project of America if people believed in the Ten Commandments.

00:21:15.000 Like, you cannot.

00:21:17.000 And the founders knew, the founders believed in self-government, and the founders would say time and time again, if every citizen knew, believed, and acted within the Ten Commandments, you have liberty.

00:21:27.000 Think about that.

00:21:28.000 You're a self-governing republic.

00:21:30.000 If you believe that there's something higher above you that tells you that these 10 things really matter.

00:21:35.000 For example, I honor the Sabbath very religiously.

00:21:38.000 I'm not Jehovah's Witness.

00:21:39.000 I just adopted it because I think it's amazing.

00:21:41.000 And my life is infinitely better that I turn off my phone every Friday night to Sunday morning.

00:21:44.000 I encourage everyone to do it.

00:21:46.000 One of my favorites though, and I could talk about this literally Because I teach on the Ten Commandments a lot, because I think it's one of the most important topics in America, is the one commandment that the Marxists have targeted the most.

00:21:59.000 And it's the only one of the Ten Commandments that involves your nation and a promise.

00:22:03.000 And it is the Bridge Commandment.

00:22:06.000 The Bridge Commandment between our relationship with the divine and our relationship with our fellow man.

00:22:10.000 Which is honor your mother and father so that you may live long in the land of which you are in.

00:22:14.000 Karl Marx and every Marxist thinker since has said in order to usher in our revolution we must destroy the nuclear family.

00:22:22.000 We are now a country that no longer fears God or fears our parents but we fear the left instead.

00:22:29.000 I've got a follow-up question, but I want the audience to get ready for their questions.

00:22:33.000 I had no idea we were going to be talking about the 10 Commandments.

00:22:35.000 I had no idea.

00:22:36.000 I was like, that's amazing.

00:22:38.000 I love this topic.

00:22:39.000 You also like to talk about how liberty fits in, a definition of liberty.

00:22:45.000 Just explain that to me and what that leads to and what liberty gives us.

00:22:50.000 Yeah, so this is a very important point, and liberty understood in the classical sense, as the founders understood it, is not being able to do whatever you want to do whenever you want to do it.

00:22:59.000 That is a New Age term of liberty.

00:23:01.000 That's how we get drug legalization, prostitution, open-air homelessness, and all the nonsense we see.

00:23:08.000 Liberty is having the ability, absent government interference, to do what one ought to do.

00:23:14.000 It's completely different.

00:23:15.000 License is the ability to do whatever you want to do whenever you want to do it.

00:23:18.000 So again, this goes back to truth claims.

00:23:20.000 You cannot build a self-governing republic if you're not willing to say that one way of life is better than the others.

00:23:26.000 Some conservatives don't even like talking like this.

00:23:28.000 They say, well, who am I to judge?

00:23:30.000 I'm sorry, the way of having a beautiful family and homeschooling your children and following the laws of the land, that's a better way of living than some bum on the side of the street in San Francisco who's a meth addict.

00:23:42.000 Like, building a family is a way better life, and it's more virtuous, and we should lift that up.

00:23:46.000 And so, liberty is the ability to do what one ought to do.

00:23:50.000 Again, that invites a whole bunch of questions and disagreements, because we've been propagandized by the modern libertarian movement to never, like, judge what another person does.

00:23:59.000 We get the trans stuff because of that belief, just so we're clear.

00:24:02.000 We get the fact that our children are being preyed upon in the classrooms when we are unwilling to say, that is not liberty.

00:24:09.000 I'll give you a great example.

00:24:11.000 There was a debate in the last couple, five years ago, between David French and Soheil Amari.

00:24:15.000 David French, who I can't stand, he thinks he's super smart, and not, yeah, again, yeah.

00:24:21.000 So David French says that it was the founders' view of liberty to allow drag queens to be able to dance in front of children in libraries.

00:24:30.000 And his argument actually made sense legally.

00:24:33.000 And then Sohrab says, no, no, the founders, they wanted liberty, not license.

00:24:37.000 And this was this huge debate that blew up.

00:24:39.000 And so that is the test I have for people.

00:24:41.000 Do you think that grown men wearing thongs should be able to go into libraries and dance in front of eight year olds?

00:24:48.000 And currently the law says yes, because it's liberty, right?

00:24:52.000 No, because we have not defined liberty correctly.

00:24:56.000 That is degeneracy, not liberty.

00:24:58.000 Liberty is that which lifts us up to a better version of ourselves and humanity.

00:25:03.000 It is about the beautiful things in life.

00:25:05.000 Drag Queen Story Hour with some thong dude is the disgusting things in life. 1.00

00:25:13.000 Hey everybody, Charlie Kirk here.

00:25:14.000 America is the first nation in history founded on the idea of God-given natural rights.

00:25:19.000 The first country dedicated to the principles of liberty and limited government.

00:25:22.000 That's why my friends at Hillsdale College want you to join them in continuing to celebrate America's founding on July 4th.

00:25:29.000 So they created a special July 4th video that I think will inspire you.

00:25:33.000 Go to charlie4hillsdale.com to see Hillsdale's video for free.

00:25:37.000 The video portrays Thomas Jefferson reflecting on the Declaration of Independence in one of his final letters written prior to his death on the 50th anniversary of the Declaration.

00:25:46.000 It'll help remind us and remind our children and our fellow citizens about the blessings of liberty and the need to preserve them.

00:25:52.000 Again, go to charlieforhillsdale.com to view this inspiring video and in appreciation you'll receive a free commemorative copy of the Declaration from my friends at Hillsdale to keep or to pass on to a young person that you know, but this is a limited time offer so please do not delay.

00:26:07.000 Go to charlie4hillsdale.com as we forever and always celebrate Independence Day.

00:26:12.000 That is charlie4hillsdale.com.

00:26:16.000 Alright, I know you have a lot of questions and I'd love to start looking for a question.

00:26:21.000 I'm going to hand it to front row, Ray.

00:26:23.000 Sean, you ready?

00:26:25.000 Okay, I have a question and maybe it's not appropriate for this, but for the last four or five years, I've always been, I've never heard an explanation for this.

00:26:37.000 Why 2% of the population takes over 80% of the airwaves, like you're talking about, right?

00:26:45.000 Everybody in the administration has to be bi or gay or dress in dresses with beards. 0.54

00:26:52.000 I don't get it.

00:26:53.000 But you know, I'm not saying it's bad or good or anything.

00:26:57.000 I'm just wondering how who who is involved in this?

00:27:01.000 Who presses this?

00:27:02.000 It's a great it's a it's a very deep question.

00:27:04.000 So you're talking about is the new state run religion of the West?

00:27:07.000 Which is the religion of pride.

00:27:10.000 And we have a whole month dedicated to it.

00:27:11.000 Do we have a whole month dedicated to Jesus?

00:27:12.000 No.

00:27:13.000 We have like two days, Easter and Christmas.

00:27:15.000 We have a whole month embraced by corporate America, the federal government, the Department of Defense, the CIA, around like people's personal private sexual behaviors.

00:27:26.000 That's very, like, at its face, that should immediately be like, what are we doing as a civilization here?

00:27:32.000 And so the answer is this, is that it is one of the five fake religions, counterfeit religions, that have infected Western culture. 0.80

00:27:41.000 I can go through the list, but it's not totally applicable to this, but one of them is the religion of earth worship or environmentalism, the religion of anti-racism, the religion of scientism, but it has a fervor that feels as if That you're watching some sort of like a weird counterfeit Pentecostal revival.

00:28:02.000 And you might say, well, that's that's heretical.

00:28:03.000 Think about it.

00:28:04.000 They have chantings and sayings that they all agree on.

00:28:07.000 They have a core doctrine.

00:28:10.000 They also have symbology that is more in the month of June.

00:28:15.000 I've seen more publicly displayed rainbow flags than American flags.

00:28:21.000 Maybe you disagree, maybe Idaho's different.

00:28:24.000 Okay, that's good.

00:28:24.000 I'm glad Idaho's the exception.

00:28:24.000 No?

00:28:27.000 Maybe Boise, I don't know, Boise does.

00:28:30.000 Yeah, so Huntington Beach Bandit, good for them.

00:28:33.000 So who is pushing it?

00:28:36.000 Well, it's being pushed internally, but this is again, the death of God in the West is one of the great moral tragedies.

00:28:44.000 Friedrich Nietzsche, who wrote a lot of books, He was wrong about a lot.

00:28:49.000 He famously came up with that God is dead.

00:28:51.000 That was his one of his famous things.

00:28:52.000 He actually was lamenting it and he put forward in thus says that Zalathustra in one of his books that he wrote.

00:28:59.000 He says that I'm paraphrasing be very careful Westerners what comes after God.

00:29:06.000 And he was somebody that was not even a Christian.

00:29:09.000 He was a nihilist who is saying God has already died.

00:29:12.000 This is the 1870s to be clear how prophetic this guy was.

00:29:15.000 And he's like, what comes next will be very dark.

00:29:18.000 And we are, we're living through that darkness essentially.

00:29:21.000 And they will not stop.

00:29:23.000 And I'll just, I'll go really quickly.

00:29:24.000 The pride thing and the gay thing is we've all been taken advantage of on this because it started with, okay, you must tolerate it. 0.95

00:29:30.000 I think a lot of us, our temperament was like, sure, we're, we're, we're tolerant people who wants to be called intolerant.

00:29:36.000 Right.

00:29:37.000 But then all of a sudden they said, you must accept it.

00:29:39.000 Wait a second, I thought it was about tolerance.

00:29:41.000 Now you care about my personal beliefs?

00:29:43.000 And then all of a sudden they said, now you must celebrate it.

00:29:45.000 I thought this was about tolerance. 0.83

00:29:47.000 And they're like, where's your gay flag outside of your home?

00:29:49.000 Why don't you have it at your corporate banner? 0.57

00:29:51.000 What's your gay pride index?

00:29:53.000 Not kidding, a real thing.

00:29:54.000 How many openly transgender people do you have in your HR department?

00:29:57.000 Questions they ask.

00:29:58.000 Then finally, they say you must participate in it.

00:30:02.000 And if you're like, well, how do I do that?

00:30:05.000 Oh, give us your kids. 1.00

00:30:06.000 And I will say something that might offend somebody, and that's fine.

00:30:09.000 I don't care.

00:30:11.000 They cannot reproduce, so they must recruit. 1.00

00:30:15.000 Thank you.

00:30:16.000 Thank you.

00:30:22.000 I see one over here on the aisle on the right.

00:30:25.000 My name's Tanya.

00:30:25.000 Hi, Charlie.

00:30:26.000 My husband and I are huge fans of you.

00:30:29.000 Thank you so much for what you're doing.

00:30:34.000 We're strong believers of preserving the nuclear family.

00:30:38.000 We are 31 and 30.

00:30:40.000 He's going to be 33 soon.

00:30:42.000 We've been together 17 years.

00:30:43.000 We have a 14-year-old, nine-year-old, one in heaven, and one on the way.

00:30:48.000 And we give credit to God, to Jesus Christ.

00:30:55.000 I started to get into politics because of the things that I see that are being brought into the school system and a lot of people here in Blaine County don't think that the CRT movement or like the DEI is as bad as it is in the bigger cities, but it is.

00:31:10.000 I want to if you could share with a lot of the people here that you know reside in Blaine County how dangerous the CRT DEI things are because Real quick, when I was working in the school system, that's when it started to infiltrate.

00:31:26.000 There was one day that I left in tears because I had to sit through a training that was anti-white.

00:31:32.000 It was just telling us how the whole system is anti-white, everything from being clean, like me being Hispanic, me being clean, or being expected to be clean at work, is white supremacy.

00:31:46.000 And this is the local school district here?

00:31:48.000 Yes.

00:31:48.000 Yeah, I believe that.

00:31:49.000 In the after school programs, we were required to go through these trainings and one of them, the interesting thing was everyone was on board, but the other interesting thing was that all of the women that agreed with it were all of Jewish descent and they agreed that the People of color have had it worse. 0.94

00:32:09.000 They were willing to give up their own trauma for this.

00:32:11.000 And I just want you to share how dangerous that is.

00:32:13.000 Yeah, that's a great question.

00:32:14.000 First of all, God bless you and I'm glad you have another one on the way.

00:32:18.000 So, I will do this as quickly as I can.

00:32:21.000 It's very simple.

00:32:22.000 The American Project has always been about individual over tribe.

00:32:27.000 The Marxist Project is about tribe over the individual.

00:32:31.000 And CRT and DEI is about inverting us away from individual rights to tribal rights or group rights.

00:32:38.000 So you are no longer made in the image of God, you are simply part of whatever ethnic group that we could be designated.

00:32:45.000 And they can't explain the contradictions.

00:32:47.000 What if you're half white, half black?

00:32:49.000 They can't go through any of that, right?

00:32:50.000 But because this is a means of control that actually ushers us back to primal governance, not Western governance.

00:32:59.000 And if you look at most forms of government around the world, they're largely tribe-based.

00:33:04.000 They are not individual-based.

00:33:06.000 If you look at most governments in the Middle East, it's about who your father was.

00:33:11.000 I mean, the best example I can give is India, which is the caste system. 0.99

00:33:15.000 You're born in a certain caste. 1.00

00:33:17.000 That is what matters.

00:33:18.000 It is immovable.

00:33:19.000 And this goes back to my religious argument, is that the WOC, which I talk about in the book, Critical Race Theory, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, are just the latest manifestations.

00:33:27.000 Also, ESG, Environmental Sustainability Governance, which is a way that they're taking over corporate America right now.

00:33:33.000 is that they will constantly criticize the white man.

00:33:39.000 There's a reason why they hate me so much, right?

00:33:41.000 I'm all the things you're not supposed to be, right?

00:33:44.000 Married, white, Christian, heterosexual, entrepreneur.

00:33:48.000 They say this, by the way, right?

00:33:50.000 That the only role for me is to constantly apologize for the rest of my life and become, you know, what they call an ally of the revolution.

00:33:58.000 And so, what they have been able to do so successfully is they have been able to convince the white majority population in America to effectively hate themselves.

00:34:09.000 Now, I'm not big on—actually, I hate any sort of racial group saying that they're great, because I actually don't believe in that.

00:34:15.000 But self-hatred is really bad and should not exist.

00:34:19.000 And white guilt, if you will, by the way, this is not my thesis.

00:34:21.000 This is Shelby Steele and Thomas Sowell that have talked about this for multiple decades, has really allowed this to usher in to our school system and our curriculum.

00:34:30.000 And you say something really interesting.

00:34:32.000 The individuals in your school system say, well, these groups have been marginalized in the past.

00:34:37.000 You see, if you looked at every individual made in the image of God, that's actually not relevant.

00:34:42.000 It's because every individual has their own agency, their own ability to make choices, and they all have the ability to be developed with good character regardless of what happened previously to them.

00:34:52.000 That's the American promise, by the way.

00:34:54.000 The American promise is not what tribe you are from or what you look like. 0.58

00:35:00.000 And they are trying to reduce us down to the melanin content in our skin.

00:35:05.000 And not try to ask the more deep questions of, what is your soul, spirit, character, actions?

00:35:10.000 What have you done for the world?

00:35:11.000 Instead, they want to put you into a prearranged box based just on how you look.

00:35:16.000 Look, I can go at an hour's, I don't want to spend all the time on this, but CRT and DEI, if left unopposed, will destroy America and will do it very quickly.

00:35:24.000 That is not just my opinion, it's the opinion of other moderate voices like Elon Musk.

00:35:29.000 And many other people that are opening up and reading the literature that I've been warning about for many years, it is currently enveloping anything successful and taking it down.

00:35:39.000 So I'll give you an example, and I got a lot of heat for this, and I stand by it 100%, because anybody with intellectual honesty agrees with me.

00:35:46.000 Which is this, is that United Airlines has come out and they say in their new pilot hiring classes, 50% will be black people or women in their new hiring classes.

00:35:56.000 Okay, so currently it's like 15%.

00:35:59.000 So they're going to go from 15% to 50%.

00:36:01.000 Every time DEI and Affirmative Action, which are sisters of each other, are implemented, standards go down.

00:36:06.000 Every time.

00:36:07.000 At Harvard, in the federal government, there has never been an isolated example ever where you prioritize race and merit is simultaneously achieved.

00:36:15.000 You have to lower the standards.

00:36:17.000 So I say to people, are you comfortable flying in a United Airlines plane if you find out that your pilot was hired because of his race, not because of his excellence?

00:36:29.000 And if you're honest, you say, of course not.

00:36:31.000 And you say, how about this?

00:36:32.000 You're going to go into surgery.

00:36:34.000 And it comes in for the pre-op.

00:36:35.000 It's like, Hey, I don't know what I'm doing, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night and I'm black.

00:36:40.000 And this will be the most diverse surgery in this hospital's history.

00:36:48.000 That's right.

00:36:49.000 Well, so the black population is shifting, and they're wakening. 0.98

00:36:55.000 We saw that.

00:36:56.000 You had this amazing big event in Detroit, and you hosted former President Donald Trump with the former mayor of Detroit and a group of black leaders.

00:37:06.000 Will you talk about that for a few minutes and what they are thinking?

00:37:10.000 Because they think a lot of these things are just bananas and absurd.

00:37:13.000 Yeah, it's funny.

00:37:14.000 When I made that comment about the pilots, you know, the world erupted.

00:37:16.000 It was mostly white liberals attacking me.

00:37:18.000 It's actually blacks and Hispanics who are the most favorable in defending me saying, no, that we do not want to be looked at just as a skin color.

00:37:26.000 It's insulting to us and our career and our future and our achievements because then people think we're only there because of a quota.

00:37:36.000 And by the way, they're correct.

00:37:38.000 People start to think that if you start to hire just on those practices.

00:37:41.000 So yeah, look, we're making huge gains in those communities.

00:37:44.000 And for good reason, because the idea of a meritocracy should be appealing to anyone that wants to work hard and to succeed in this country.

00:37:52.000 And so yeah.

00:37:53.000 Well, you know, and I think about that.

00:37:54.000 I think back in the 30 years of school choice and vouchers and really opening up freedom to so many families to have an opportunity to choose where they go to school.

00:38:05.000 And particularly children who are, you know, born or live in the wrong zip code.

00:38:10.000 And they happen to a lot, the majority of them are minorities.

00:38:13.000 And their lives have changed tremendously by having other opportunities.

00:38:18.000 And we've seen a whole generation of kids rise up.

00:38:21.000 Do you have any thoughts on that?

00:38:22.000 And just talk a little bit about what freedom really can do for raising every kid.

00:38:28.000 Yeah, and I loved when President Trump came out a couple days ago and said he wants to abolish the Department of Education, which I think is amazing.

00:38:36.000 It is long overdue and it is 100% achievable if Congress would actually act on it.

00:38:43.000 By the way, there's a lot he can do through federal executive order to just reduce the power of the Federal Department of Education.

00:38:50.000 It has been one of the great stains on society.

00:38:53.000 Again, I don't want to monopolize too much on these one-offs, but the whole premise of education in our country is wrong.

00:38:59.000 And I hear it from conservatives a lot.

00:39:02.000 How many times, maybe some of you have said it, Charlie, I just want my kid to go to school and have a politics-neutral experience, and they learn reading, writing, and arithmetic.

00:39:10.000 You might have heard that before.

00:39:13.000 Okay.

00:39:14.000 That is not what education is, everybody.

00:39:16.000 I know you just applauded.

00:39:18.000 It's not about skills.

00:39:19.000 It should be about developing good people of deep character.

00:39:24.000 And you say, what are you talking about?

00:39:25.000 Is that properly understood, the founding fathers were all classically educated, and they got their skills outside of school.

00:39:32.000 What they got in school was reading the great, beautiful texts that had built the world prior, and they were in pursuit of what is good, true, and beautiful.

00:39:39.000 Children are something that you need to nourish and allow them to grow, not something to be engineered as a project.

00:39:45.000 And so let me say two things.

00:39:47.000 If you think you're ever going to get a politics-neutral classroom, it will never exist.

00:39:51.000 Because eventually there will be a truth claim.

00:39:53.000 I'll give you an example.

00:39:55.000 Eventually somebody will show up late to class.

00:39:57.000 Does the teacher discipline that kid?

00:39:58.000 Yes or no?

00:39:59.000 That morality will then be instilled on the rest of the class.

00:40:03.000 Are you allowed to interrupt the teacher?

00:40:05.000 You say no, but that's a political statement to say you can't interrupt the teacher.

00:40:10.000 How about this?

00:40:11.000 I'm allowed to turn in my homework late because I'm black.

00:40:15.000 That happens all the time, by the way, in school districts across the country.

00:40:18.000 So this idea that we're going to get a depoliticized classroom is never going to happen.

00:40:22.000 Instead, what we should have is embrace the classical model of education.

00:40:26.000 Every founder was classically educated.

00:40:28.000 Hillsdale College is a classical institution, and they're America's greatest college.

00:40:33.000 And so the whole premise of education is wrong because the current experts of the D.C.

00:40:39.000 regime, they look at children as widgets to be engineered.

00:40:45.000 When they should look at them as plants to allow them to grow.

00:40:47.000 It's completely different.

00:40:49.000 Education comes from the word, Latin word, to lead forth.

00:40:52.000 You must lead them forth towards something.

00:40:55.000 And I ask parents this all the time.

00:40:58.000 Actually somebody earlier, they said, how do I say to my grandkid?

00:41:00.000 And it's very simple.

00:41:01.000 Would you rather have your grandkid be somebody of upstanding character or have a college degree?

00:41:06.000 And sometimes you can get both, right?

00:41:08.000 But we have lost, we've lost the plot because it should be about creating good people.

00:41:14.000 About people of high character and high, high esteem in society.

00:41:16.000 Anyway, so look, school choice and mobility is incredibly important.

00:41:20.000 We need to break the back of the teacher union cartel.

00:41:22.000 The teacher union cartel has done more damage to America than the Mexican drug cartel.

00:41:27.000 I believe these people should be, some of them I think should be criminally investigated for what they've done.

00:41:32.000 The American Federation of Teachers and the National Education Association.

00:41:36.000 School choice is a great way to solve that.

00:41:39.000 OK, we're going to go to another question.

00:41:41.000 OK.

00:41:43.000 Charlie, you have talked about colleges not performing for our children.

00:41:48.000 So what do you say to graduating seniors from high school?

00:41:50.000 What should they do?

00:41:51.000 Yeah, it's a great question.

00:41:53.000 So if you have to go to college, I can give you advice on that.

00:41:56.000 If you want to be a doctor, an engineer, a lawyer, 95% of kids that go to college should not go to college.

00:42:01.000 And I'll prove it to you.

00:42:02.000 Those of you that employ people, would you rather have somebody from University of CU Boulder or somebody that has visited 50 countries?

00:42:09.000 Which person would you hire?

00:42:12.000 50 countries.

00:42:13.000 So why don't we do that?

00:42:15.000 I mean, you say, oh, I want my kid to go get high and have unlimited, like, STD sharing for four years.

00:42:23.000 Like, learn nothing and hate the country and get, like, sloppy overweight.

00:42:26.000 And, like, that's what happens, by the way, to almost all these kids who go to college.

00:42:30.000 I don't think people understand how destructive these institutions have become to our country.

00:42:34.000 And so I think we have to look at things way more creatively.

00:42:38.000 People say, oh, I can't get a job if I don't go to college.

00:42:40.000 That is increasingly not true.

00:42:42.000 We prove that in the book, The College Scam.

00:42:44.000 Mike Rowe has also been a great backup on that.

00:42:47.000 I'm also a living example.

00:42:48.000 You don't need to go to college.

00:42:49.000 I have a high school degree.

00:42:50.000 I'm proud of it.

00:42:52.000 And so I'm like one of those non-college educated people that support Donald Trump.

00:42:55.000 You always see that in the polls. 0.97

00:42:59.000 And so, but I think that's, it's very important though, because I, again, this room is obviously very, you know, is college educated and all that, but it's very important because what they're doing in that polling is they're saying, here's what the smart people think of Trump, and here's what the dumb people think of Trump. 0.94

00:43:12.000 That's what they're doing.

00:43:13.000 They are propagandizing and mind shaping you through a long period of time.

00:43:18.000 And parents say, I'd rather have my kid, of course, be in the college educated category, not in the other category.

00:43:23.000 I guarantee if we went around the room, there would be story after story of people that have lost kids or grandkids to college.

00:43:28.000 That they come back something completely different.

00:43:30.000 And I see a lot of heads nodding.

00:43:32.000 And, you know, you send Brian off to University of Oregon, and he, you know, he comes back Brianna.

00:43:39.000 and uh...

00:43:46.000 it's not a one size fits all suggestion I wrote a whole book about it.

00:43:51.000 I will say this.

00:43:51.000 We do not have enough entrepreneurs and risk takers in this country.

00:43:54.000 People that want to start businesses, scrap and hustle.

00:43:57.000 This is not just me.

00:43:59.000 Employers will say that if they see an application, From Gen Z, they'll say they'll immediately throw, they do not want to touch anyone that has gone to college.

00:44:06.000 It is the least desirable hiring class.

00:44:09.000 In fact, having a college degree, at least with what we do, hurts you.

00:44:14.000 I immediately think that you're a tainted, tainted object.

00:44:17.000 So, but here's the limiting belief.

00:44:20.000 You have to be okay with your kid or grandkid not going to college.

00:44:24.000 And until you are able to swallow that pill, then nothing will change.

00:44:28.000 And the problem is in high society circles like this, it's an expectation.

00:44:32.000 I know that because I came from suburban Chicago.

00:44:34.000 I was the only... I graduated top of my class, Eagle Scout, football, basketball captain, good student.

00:44:38.000 When I told people I wasn't going to college, they say, are you okay?

00:44:40.000 Are you like on drugs?

00:44:41.000 Like, do you need to like get a re... You know, do you need to see like a psychiatrist or something?

00:44:45.000 It's like, no, no, I'm going to go start an organization to hopefully save the country.

00:44:48.000 They're like, yeah, good luck with that.

00:44:49.000 Cynicism, negativity, you know.

00:44:52.000 But again, Glory be to God, right?

00:44:55.000 That's great.

00:44:59.000 No, you're not.

00:45:00.000 That's great.

00:45:01.000 Okay, we have some more questions.

00:45:03.000 Can you hear me?

00:45:04.000 Yes.

00:45:05.000 Charlie, I listened to your recent interview with Roger Stone about his prediction for June 11th.

00:45:12.000 Can you speak to that and tell us what you think about that?

00:45:16.000 That's a great question.

00:45:17.000 So, yes.

00:45:19.000 Roger Stone came on my show and he said that on July 11th, which will be one of the most consequential days in American history, which is the day that Donald Trump will be sentenced for the 34 convictions.

00:45:30.000 By the way, great fun trick with your liberal friends.

00:45:32.000 Ask him to name the 34 things he was convicted of.

00:45:35.000 They can't name one of them, right?

00:45:37.000 By the way, neither can the judge, just so we're clear.

00:45:39.000 It's completely made up.

00:45:39.000 No one knows.

00:45:40.000 And I'm not kidding.

00:45:41.000 They convicted him for a fraud of covering up a crime, and they cannot tell you what the actual crime was.

00:45:46.000 Just so we are clear.

00:45:47.000 Andrew Cuomo has now come out, and he has said that, I'm former Attorney General of New York, former governor, this case should never have been brought.

00:45:53.000 If it wasn't Trump, it shouldn't have been brought.

00:45:55.000 So, anyway, so Judge Mershawn, Who is a raging left-wing Democrat.

00:45:59.000 I don't say this lightly.

00:46:00.000 He would have been a perfect Politburo member of Stalin's cabinet as a judge. 1.00

00:46:04.000 This guy is a nasty, evil person. 0.98

00:46:05.000 I'm not under a gag order, so I can say whatever I want about this guy. 0.98

00:46:08.000 So, and he has the full authority on July 11th.

00:46:13.000 He could go anything from one extreme to the other.

00:46:15.000 He could say, Donald, uh, Mr. Trump, Rikers Island right now.

00:46:19.000 He could do that.

00:46:20.000 He could send him to prison right then and there.

00:46:22.000 He could say you have to report to jail a month from then.

00:46:25.000 He could do house arrest.

00:46:26.000 He could say that you have to stay in Trump Tower for then to the end of the year.

00:46:31.000 He could also do something more creative, which I think they might do, which is he could turn it.

00:46:36.000 We could be like, okay, I know you're running for president.

00:46:40.000 You have to report to prison in February.

00:46:43.000 And all of a sudden it becomes a political issue.

00:46:45.000 That becomes more of a political issue than of just being a convicted felon, right?

00:46:49.000 And people think, can he serve as president?

00:46:50.000 What does that look like?

00:46:52.000 So two thoughts.

00:46:53.000 Number one, he has to announce his vice president before July 11th.

00:46:55.000 We just need to like this is we can't we cannot go through this with the uncertainty of the unknown that he get hauled off to jail and he has to announce his VP via Zoom or Skype or something, right?

00:47:05.000 I don't think that's a good idea.

00:47:07.000 The second thing is what do I think they're going to do?

00:47:09.000 I have no idea.

00:47:10.000 But if I study the left for a living and I fight them for a living, they have shown no signs of slowing down.

00:47:16.000 Instead, they are accelerating.

00:47:18.000 They are accelerating against us.

00:47:19.000 They still are raiding homes.

00:47:21.000 Raiding homes of people that were hundreds of yards away from the Capitol and never went into the Capitol.

00:47:26.000 They are still raiding those homes on a daily basis.

00:47:28.000 There are still dozens of people in pretrial detention in Washington, D.C.

00:47:32.000 for January 6th-related crimes.

00:47:35.000 There are 1,400 people that have been arrested and convicted of crimes January 6th-related.

00:47:41.000 1,400 people.

00:47:42.000 There were zero for BLM on the federal level during that summer of love, otherwise known as Floyd-a-palooza.

00:47:48.000 So, they are accelerating, not de-accelerating.

00:47:51.000 So, I don't know.

00:47:52.000 Judge Mershawn, he could change the entire election.

00:47:54.000 I hope for the good of the country.

00:47:57.000 He will say, probation, you know, good luck.

00:48:00.000 If you want to be president, that would be the right thing for the country.

00:48:03.000 And by the way, not just the right thing for the country.

00:48:05.000 He has every precedent and every legal reasoning.

00:48:08.000 He's a first time offender.

00:48:10.000 It's a nonviolent crime.

00:48:11.000 These are misdemeanors that were upgraded to felonies.

00:48:13.000 So every reason, but we're not living in an era of the law.

00:48:18.000 We are living in a post constitutional moment, and I hope it does not become a post constitutional reality.

00:48:27.000 Hey everybody, Charlie Kirk here.

00:48:28.000 Can't pay the IRS?

00:48:29.000 Haven't filed in a while?

00:48:30.000 Receiving threatening letters?

00:48:31.000 Yeah, it's about to get even worse.

00:48:34.000 The IRS is hiring an army of agents targeting hard-working Americans just like you.

00:49:19.000 Or visit tnusa.com slash charlie. That is tnusa.com slash charlie. tnusa.com slash charlie.

00:49:27.000 Thanks for being with us, Charlie. So if you look at DC, you see RINOs who are 1.00

00:49:37.000 centrists at best, and you see Democrats who are moving more and more progressively.

00:49:42.000 Yeah.

00:49:44.000 If I was struck by something Miss Mitchell said last night, where she said that Democrats have spent the last 11 years focusing on electoral process, whereas conservatives have focused on policy.

00:49:59.000 And so as we sit here today, if we can't win from an election perspective, what can each of us do in the room to kind of bolster, embrace, activate conservative values to actually win?

00:50:15.000 That's a really profound question.

00:50:17.000 So I'll give you two answers to that.

00:50:19.000 First of all, in Idaho you can win on a political basis.

00:50:24.000 And you have won.

00:50:25.000 And you have very, in my opinion, disappointing statewide elected officials here.

00:50:29.000 And I don't mean to insult anybody.

00:50:31.000 You do not have fighters in D.C.

00:50:32.000 right now.

00:50:33.000 You don't.

00:50:33.000 Maybe you agree or disagree.

00:50:35.000 They are not fighters.

00:50:36.000 Sorry.

00:50:37.000 They are not people that are fighting for you guys.

00:50:39.000 They're checking boxes and doing all sorts of stuff.

00:50:41.000 It's a waste of time.

00:50:43.000 This country is about to no longer be a country and they're sending more money to Ukraine and telling you how great they are.

00:50:48.000 It's a waste of rations.

00:50:50.000 So, but yes, I think we can win electorally.

00:50:53.000 So what you can do is every person needs to take over the Idaho Republican Party from the grassroots level and to make this a grassroots party.

00:51:01.000 You are the reddest state in the country.

00:51:03.000 Maybe it's time that Idaho starts acting like it.

00:51:06.000 Instead, you have Republicans That are more moderate than Ron Johnson, who's from a battleground state in Wisconsin.

00:51:15.000 And it's just, again, they talk a good game.

00:51:16.000 That's fine.

00:51:17.000 I'm sure all of you guys, they went to your ribbon-cutting ceremony at some factory or whatever.

00:51:21.000 I'm sure they're nice people.

00:51:22.000 Are they the fighters of Josh Hawley?

00:51:25.000 Rand Paul?

00:51:26.000 Are they fighting every single day in the trenches?

00:51:28.000 You don't see it.

00:51:29.000 If you see it, you're seeing something that's not there, right?

00:51:32.000 And so, yes, my friend here from Boise knows, taking over the Republican Party, right?

00:51:36.000 You are, but that's what you have to do, is that here's one of the main problems in American politics.

00:51:42.000 The American people are a center-right people.

00:51:46.000 They do not have an opposition party that they can attach to.

00:51:50.000 This is why when D.C.

00:51:51.000 people are like, oh, I don't understand Trump.

00:51:53.000 Trump is the only person that has come and has disrupted the status quo for millions of people that have been so upset with the old Republican Party for decades.

00:52:03.000 And that is part of his appeal.

00:52:04.000 That's why he can do no wrong in the eyes of so many people, because he represents something bigger than that.

00:52:09.000 So yeah, just take over the Republican Party, to be perfectly honest with you.

00:52:12.000 It's not good enough to just go to D.C.

00:52:14.000 and reorganize the chairs on the Titanic, which is what they're doing.

00:52:18.000 Yeah, that's great.

00:52:20.000 Very motivating.

00:52:22.000 I'd love for you to talk a little bit about your book.

00:52:25.000 You have some great recommendations in there and, you know, a lot of times we'd say, what can we do?

00:52:30.000 And that is one of the great, great things is to get more active locally.

00:52:34.000 Talk about some of these interesting things.

00:52:36.000 You have some great recommendations.

00:52:37.000 Thank you.

00:52:38.000 Yeah, so first is, of course, start local.

00:52:40.000 So try to take over this school board, take over the local city here.

00:52:42.000 I know that you're in the minority and it's tough, but that would be a really good action item.

00:52:46.000 Secondly, you have to care less about one thing.

00:52:50.000 You should never care about the names that left-wingers call you.

00:52:54.000 At its core, the amount of power that the American left has over us, by nothing more than weaponized name-calling, is extraordinary.

00:53:03.000 It's like we give them so much power because we think that their insults to us mean something.

00:53:09.000 Oh, I'm not a racist.

00:53:10.000 I'm not a misogynist.

00:53:11.000 I'm not a sexist.

00:53:12.000 It should mean nothing.

00:53:14.000 You should care less about that.

00:53:15.000 And then finally, look, there's a lot of people in this room that give philanthropically and have done very well in business.

00:53:22.000 You know, we raise a lot of money at Turning Point USA and Turning Point Action, praise God.

00:53:25.000 We raise over $100 million a year.

00:53:27.000 We have 300,000 donors.

00:53:29.000 So I see a big change in this regard, but we have to stop giving money voluntarily to institutions that hate us.

00:53:35.000 Cut off your college, guys, is the first thing.

00:53:37.000 Stop giving your money to your alma mater.

00:53:39.000 And if you say, oh, well, my alma mater is different.

00:53:41.000 Unless you went to Hillsdale College, you're wrong, okay?

00:53:44.000 And so, but think about it.

00:53:46.000 How many left-wingers are voluntarily giving money to Hillsdale?

00:53:49.000 None of them.

00:53:50.000 Why do we voluntarily give money to the institutions that are destroying the nation?

00:53:55.000 And then finally, you have to, maybe you should find a new wealth manager if you have fidelity. 0.51

00:54:00.000 Fidelity is awful, for example.

00:54:01.000 They cancel conservers all the time.

00:54:03.000 Find a donor-advised fund like Bradley, an impact fund that does a great job.

00:54:06.000 And I think the world of them, and they've done such a great job.

00:54:09.000 So there are action items.

00:54:10.000 What I'm getting at, though, is that everything you do should be colored by the idea of, Is it consistent with my patriotic American values?

00:54:19.000 From where you shop to the goods and services, Public Square is a great resource for a lot of people.

00:54:26.000 But it's a different mindset because I, like you, miss the country where we could just kind of go to Starbucks and not have to worry if we're funding the opposition.

00:54:35.000 That country no longer exists.

00:54:37.000 And the greatest untapped asset And it's barely been touched on, is the combined purchasing power of red America. 0.92

00:54:45.000 If that beast ever wakes up, we could bankrupt corporate America.

00:54:49.000 And by the way, look at just Bud Light, for example.

00:54:54.000 You know, by the way, they've recovered in the stock price because we kind of forgot to stop boycotting them.

00:54:59.000 But again, I don't drink.

00:55:00.000 I think it's all nonsense, but that's okay.

00:55:02.000 You guys, you know, have a great day.

00:55:05.000 By the way, if you're drinking Bud Light, we got bigger problems, just so we're clear.

00:55:07.000 So, you guys in Idaho, you got a lot better options, right?

00:55:11.000 You got micro breweries and stuff, like you gotta do better than that.

00:55:15.000 Yeah, I was gonna say.

00:55:16.000 I have no moral problems with drinkers, just not for me.

00:55:18.000 But I'll say with Bud Light, though, they had like a slight dip in sales that became a big dip, and they totally reconfigured their company.

00:55:25.000 I will say one promising thing.

00:55:27.000 I have noticed, versus last year, a little bit More of a muted approach to Pride Month from some companies than we did last year.

00:55:36.000 Again, it's still in your face, it's still there, but last year was like out of control.

00:55:40.000 I mean, that was, that was outrageous.

00:55:43.000 So look, and then in my book I go through action items of what people can do.

00:55:45.000 I think everyone gets a book here now, is that right?

00:55:47.000 They do, they do.

00:55:48.000 I think we have enough left to go per household.

00:55:50.000 We're hoping to.

00:55:51.000 Let me ask you that.

00:55:52.000 I want you to transition.

00:55:54.000 I think you include this in your book as well.

00:55:56.000 I just got my copy on this trip, too, because you just released it.

00:56:02.000 Just the existential threat of the American family and young families and what we should be thinking about in terms of Family life, you know, families prioritizing the family and just kind of talking to that a little bit and just that recommendation that if young adults just started reading about this before it was too late and they decided they didn't have a family.

00:56:26.000 It's a great, great thing.

00:56:28.000 A great point.

00:56:28.000 So, I blame both parties on this regard, but mostly let's just look at Joe Biden on this.

00:56:34.000 We get symposiums on systemic racism.

00:56:37.000 He turns Easter in the Transgender Day of Awareness. 0.94

00:56:40.000 Did he do a single press conference or mentioning that the birth rate in America is the lowest ever in recorded history?

00:56:47.000 I mean, just so we're clear, that is like species-ending stuff?

00:56:50.000 Like, if you don't get that right?

00:56:52.000 Dude, how many of you did not know that, by the way?

00:56:54.000 I see tons of hands.

00:56:55.000 You know the fertility rate is at the lowest it's ever been in American history, and it is collapsing in real time.

00:57:01.000 It's getting so low, and it's an interesting shoehorn, actually.

00:57:05.000 It's that the people who are having the most kids are the ultra-wealthy and the ultra-poor.

00:57:10.000 Middle-class America is having the least amount of kids.

00:57:12.000 It's kind of a very interesting shoehorn, and it makes actually a lot of sense.

00:57:17.000 The ultra-poor, their treasure is their kids.

00:57:20.000 The ultra-rich have everything else, so they want the most beautiful thing in life because they can afford it, which is kids.

00:57:25.000 And so, it's the middle class that really can't afford having children anymore.

00:57:28.000 So, affordability is a big problem, and we've made it nearly impossible to have a single-income provider of a family.

00:57:35.000 I'll give you one number really quick.

00:57:37.000 I got it from Elizabeth Warren, of all people.

00:57:38.000 She wrote a great book, believe it or not, before she became a nutcase. 0.74

00:57:43.000 It's a really good book, called The Dual Income Trap.

00:57:46.000 In the early 2000s, she was a Harvard professor, and she correctly argued, by the way, that America will decline if we force women into the workforce who want to be stay-at-home moms. 0.95

00:57:55.000 Can you believe Elizabeth Warren wrote that?

00:57:57.000 And she did an amazing job. 0.99

00:57:58.000 You could go, it's an incredible book.

00:58:00.000 And she goes through all the numbers saying that the country will be better if the man can support the family alone.

00:58:05.000 And we don't, so she gets this amazing number.

00:58:09.000 In 1995, when a lot of you guys were in the heart of your business and really doing a lot, it required 36 weeks of work a year to support a family of four in America.

00:58:19.000 It now requires 60 weeks of work a year, so more than, you know, 52 weeks.

00:58:24.000 So it forces the woman into the workforce unnecessarily and not voluntarily. 0.98

00:58:28.000 Again, I'm all for, of course, women in the workforce if they choose, but a lot of moms don't want to have to go to work immediately. 1.00

00:58:33.000 They want to spend those first five or six years with those kids and then maybe go back at their own choosing.

00:58:38.000 So we're seeing the birth rate just plummet because of that.

00:58:41.000 Secondly, we're seeing the marriage rate plummet.

00:58:43.000 Um, less and less people are getting married than ever before in American history.

00:58:47.000 We have more single men and women in their early 30s than married men and women in their early 30s.

00:58:53.000 Never happened before in American history.

00:58:55.000 And it makes sense, of course, because we prioritize sending them to college, which teaches them not to get married.

00:59:00.000 So why should we be shocked that they don't get married?

00:59:03.000 Again, you might say, what do you mean they teach you not to get married?

00:59:06.000 Come with me to University of Denver and sit in a sociology class.

00:59:11.000 They are taught that marriage is a misogynistic, open-air prison.

00:59:15.000 They read feminist theory.

00:59:17.000 It's not an exaggeration.

00:59:18.000 They are taught that these are unjust, oppressive constructs.

00:59:23.000 So we shouldn't be shocked that 10 years later, no one's having kids and the marriage rate plummets.

00:59:28.000 So, I think there are ways to fix this.

00:59:30.000 It's starting to begin to fix naturally, because we're seeing just the country fall apart as a lack of it.

00:59:36.000 But it's a serious problem, and the Democrat Party is capitalizing on it.

00:59:41.000 The most reliable voting group for the Democrat Party are college-educated, single women living in urban areas with cats. 0.98

00:59:50.000 And... I'm not kidding.

00:59:52.000 The cats I made up.

00:59:53.000 The other part is...

00:59:57.000 And they are incredibly loyal to the Democrat Party.

01:00:02.000 And there's a lot of reasons for that.

01:00:04.000 The data is amazing.

01:00:05.000 I wish Scott was still here because he would reinforce me on this.

01:00:08.000 The data is unbelievable.

01:00:09.000 As soon as they get married, if they get married, they go from 95% Democrat to like 55% Democrat.

01:00:16.000 If once they have kids, they become Republicans majority.

01:00:19.000 It's if you can go from an adherent to the Democrat Party worldview to almost a Republican to a raging right winger by getting married and having children.

01:00:31.000 That's pretty incredible.

01:00:31.000 We have a question in the back.

01:00:36.000 I see.

01:00:37.000 Yep.

01:00:37.000 Standing up.

01:00:37.000 Do we have a mic ready?

01:00:39.000 Hello.

01:00:39.000 Yeah, okay, good.

01:00:40.000 Hi Charlie, my name is Esther Williams.

01:00:43.000 I am a Christian, conservative, did not go to college, and was also homeschooled all 12 years.

01:00:49.000 I have my parents to thank for that, for going against the grain.

01:00:56.000 More often than not, I'm shamed for either all four of those, or one of those, in not only this town, but in my generation.

01:01:03.000 My question to you, and I ask this very genuinely, is how does someone tap into their inner Charlie Kirk?

01:01:10.000 Yeah, that's great.

01:01:14.000 So, first of all, that's part of the book, which is you shouldn't care if they shame you.

01:01:21.000 And that's important, right?

01:01:23.000 I admit, I have a genetic deformity.

01:01:24.000 I truly don't care what people think of me.

01:01:26.000 And I totally acknowledge it.

01:01:28.000 I think it's actually hilarious when people attack me.

01:01:31.000 I care if people I care about attack me or criticize me.

01:01:34.000 If my wife says something about me or my close friends or my pastor, then I listen.

01:01:39.000 But if some, like, purple-haired jihadi calls me, like, not wise or smart because I didn't go to college, like, okay, whatever.

01:01:47.000 And so it's about, as a Christian, I'll give you some advice, just releasing that to the Lord and just being, like, that none of the approval of man matters at all.

01:01:56.000 The approval of man is actually a scorn, it says in the scriptures.

01:01:59.000 And that's, by the way, that is a discipline and a practice More than anything else.

01:02:04.000 You will get stronger at it the older you get, and the more you decide not to care.

01:02:09.000 But you shouldn't become someone who is not able to receive loving advice or coaching from those who should be correcting you.

01:02:16.000 That's narcissistic-type behavior, which no one should endorse.

01:02:19.000 So, yeah, look, I acknowledge it.

01:02:21.000 I've never been bothered by the mob hating me, or the New York Times hating me, or whatever.

01:02:28.000 In fact, I think it's one of our superpowers at Turning Point USA.

01:02:31.000 I really do.

01:02:31.000 do. That's great. Good to see you again.

01:02:39.000 Thank you.

01:02:41.000 So you gonna go to college?

01:02:44.000 I'm a 13 year old and I'm going into eighth grade and I'm trying to make some positive change.

01:02:51.000 Like, I had this guy say that, like, you can't prove that God is real because every religion was made by man.

01:03:03.000 Is there like a way I could, like, deal with school?

01:03:09.000 Yeah, so, um... Yeah, I'll give you a fun counter and be like, hey, you know without God there would be no atheists, so... 0.64

01:03:22.000 I didn't come up, that's a GK Chesterton quote.

01:03:26.000 So yeah, look, for an eighth grader, let me think about this.

01:03:30.000 Yeah, the best argument that you could probably give is that we now know because of science, thanks to science, that the universe had a beginning, and we call it the Big Bang, and so time, space, and matter started at a specific time.

01:03:45.000 Therefore, using the laws of logic, which are always applicable, In order to have time, space, and matter start, you need something that is outside of time, space, and matter.

01:03:54.000 And that thing is called God.

01:03:56.000 And so the question is, who caused the Big Bang to actually go into effect?

01:04:01.000 We have an answer to that.

01:04:01.000 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

01:04:04.000 You see, the atheists, they have a tough task ahead of them. 1.00

01:04:07.000 And we as religious people must acknowledge our task.

01:04:10.000 We have to deal with suffering.

01:04:12.000 That is the hardest issue as a religious people.

01:04:15.000 To explain away unjust suffering.

01:04:18.000 Why does the kid get cancer?

01:04:19.000 Why does the loving wife die in a car accident? 1.00

01:04:22.000 It is the greatest challenge of religious people. 1.00

01:04:25.000 Atheists, they have to explain everything else. 0.95

01:04:28.000 They have to explain where these mountains came from, the Earth, the planet, meaning, existence, morality, children, deoxyribonucleic acid.

01:04:35.000 They have to say all of that is an act of randomness and chance.

01:04:40.000 I don't have enough faith to be an atheist.

01:04:42.000 That's what you should tell your friend.

01:04:44.000 That's beautiful.

01:04:45.000 Thank you.

01:04:45.000 All right, we have time for just one more question.

01:04:53.000 Did I miss?

01:04:54.000 Thank you for being here, Charlie Kirk.

01:04:57.000 I am curious about how we as brave conservatives can be out in the world when we have a legal system that seems to be so against us.

01:05:06.000 We had Jonathan Turley here, thank you Christina, who was saying that there are really basically no conservative professors out there.

01:05:14.000 And so if we are trying to find justice, if we're fighting the good fight, and we know that we're going to this, what advice do you have for us?

01:05:23.000 So that's great.

01:05:24.000 I'll tell you my advice.

01:05:25.000 You just have to expect to end up in federal prison at some point.

01:05:30.000 It's true.

01:05:31.000 Right, Cleta?

01:05:32.000 And, I mean, I don't invite it, but do you know how liberating it is once you say that?

01:05:37.000 And you're like, okay, great.

01:05:38.000 My wife knows it.

01:05:39.000 My family knows it.

01:05:40.000 Like, okay.

01:05:42.000 We live in an open-air Soviet country right now where people like me that have certain politics, we are relentlessly investigated.

01:05:48.000 We're relentlessly, you know, the government is obsessed with us, obviously, because we're effective and because we're outspoken and because we have opinions that they don't like.

01:05:56.000 And so again, I don't expect people to have the attitude that I have, which is a whole of life, just like, hey, I might end up in Gitmo.

01:06:04.000 And if I do, then it will be a life well lived because I did the right thing.

01:06:09.000 But there's probably smaller versions of that.

01:06:13.000 And I'm a big believer that you cannot have beautiful things without sacrifice.

01:06:17.000 I think that is a law of nature.

01:06:19.000 I believe that we have the beautiful country that we have because of the sacrifice of the heroes at Normandy Beach, for example.

01:06:25.000 And we remember that on D-Day.

01:06:26.000 We remember the Greatest Generation.

01:06:28.000 I believe that we have the country because of the revolutionary generation that sacrificed, so on and so forth.

01:06:35.000 And so, we can't continue to have a beautiful country if people aren't willing to sacrifice.

01:06:39.000 And, I'm afraid that we kind of want it both ways.

01:06:42.000 We want the luxury of a great country, but not everyone wants the sacrifice.

01:06:47.000 I'm willing to do that.

01:06:49.000 And I know other people are too.

01:06:50.000 A lot of other great patriots.

01:06:52.000 And I will say, I'm not trying to do this.

01:06:53.000 Khalid is one of them. 0.99

01:06:55.000 I am so encouraged by how many people are willing to sacrifice everything they have.

01:07:01.000 To go into debt.

01:07:02.000 To go into bankruptcy.

01:07:03.000 To say, if I have to just never see my kids again.

01:07:06.000 There is a rising duty spirit in the conservative movement in this country that is so promising.

01:07:12.000 But I'm also not going to do hopium.

01:07:14.000 Hope and opium mixed together, that feels good.

01:07:17.000 But it's really bad for you.

01:07:19.000 If we're not successful in November, that will be the future for a lot of us.

01:07:23.000 It will be.

01:07:24.000 Maybe later than sooner or sooner rather than later.

01:07:27.000 And you see what's happening.

01:07:28.000 Donald Trump will end up in federal prison if he doesn't win.

01:07:31.000 End of story.

01:07:32.000 Period.

01:07:33.000 And there will be many of us that they're going to try to do after that.

01:07:36.000 And bring it on.

01:07:38.000 We get to live in a great country that was once great.

01:07:41.000 We want to make it great again.

01:07:43.000 And I wouldn't want to live in any other time because the civilization itself hangs in the balance.

01:07:48.000 And I consider myself and all of us that get to fight in it immensely blessed because the stakes have never been higher.

01:07:53.000 That's great.

01:08:00.000 Charlie, thank you so much.

01:08:02.000 This has been a delightful evening and a wonderful day for all of us.

01:08:07.000 I just want to say, this is a great organization.

01:08:10.000 They treated us so well.

01:08:11.000 I speak all across the country.

01:08:13.000 This is a first class operation, I got to tell you.

01:08:16.000 The Sun Valley Policy, this is a first class operation.

01:08:20.000 And I'm a tough grader.
