00:02:41.560 Hey everyone and welcome back to another episode of the comment section show starring me, your favorite

00:02:45.820 who cares about me, on to the guest. Today I have the one, the only, Javi.

00:02:51.900 Woohoo! 1.00

00:02:53.420 Hi!

00:02:54.260 Hi, I'm so happy to have you.

00:02:55.380 I feel like a celebrity.

00:02:56.220 Javi. You are a celebrity.

00:02:58.500 Thank you.

00:02:58.900 To me.

00:02:59.420 I mean, you're like my celebrity. You're my icon.

00:03:02.740 Me and Javi have hung out and met already.

00:03:05.280 Yes.

00:03:05.780 We are friends.

00:03:06.500 Yes, we are already friends.

00:03:08.180 Which is rare, actually. I think the only other person I've met prior to filming with

00:03:13.260 them was Carlo. And you and Carlo go way back too. We're all frenzies.

00:03:19.380 Yeah. Towson days.

00:03:20.760 Yeah, fun time. 2017. Very young.

00:03:25.300 Me and Javi go way back. Not as far back as Carlo, but we do go way back.

00:03:28.760 Just a few months.

00:03:30.280 Same thing. I'm like nine years, three months.

00:03:33.380 But I love, I feel like I really pride myself in like making friends.

00:03:37.080 Yeah, absolutely.

00:03:37.740 I think I just, I'm just so down to earth. I'm like, so fun to be around.

00:03:42.140 She's a tourist. 0.89

00:03:42.640 But no, I love making friends. Like I love just being around people, community.

00:03:45.900 Well, it's also harder as you get into this industry too, to like make quality creator

00:03:53.320 friends. Not everyone's terrible. A lot of people would shock you how awesome and nice

00:03:57.340 they are.

00:03:58.080 Yeah.

00:03:58.280 But some people would shock you about how terrible they are too.

00:04:00.660 Yeah.

00:04:01.380 And you've been around a long time in the creator entertainment industry.

00:04:06.340 Yeah.

00:04:06.480 Because Javi is a model. Wink.

00:04:08.760 I do a lot of things.

00:04:09.720 Yeah.

00:04:10.420 I'm multifaceted.

00:04:11.580 Yes.

00:04:11.860 Um, no, but yeah, it's true. I think it's really, I, I'm very choosy still, but I'm

00:04:18.240 open to like get to know other people.

00:04:20.020 Yeah.

00:04:20.460 And that's great. I mean, it's like, you're like on a trial basis. I'm a C. This is like

00:04:25.940 a tryout.

00:04:26.580 Yeah.

00:04:26.960 And if you pass, then great.

00:04:28.420 Yeah.

00:04:28.620 Then you can keep kicking and stuff.

00:04:30.060 Especially in LA. It's, it's tricky.

00:04:32.580 Yes.

00:04:32.920 It's tricky out here.

00:04:33.560 I've had my fair share.

00:04:35.300 Um, but now I'm just like, I have a really good core group of friends.

00:04:39.360 Same.

00:04:39.760 And then if I hang out with the people that I really, truly love and then they hang out

00:04:45.180 with other people, I know I'm going to like them.

00:04:46.680 Yeah, absolutely.

00:04:47.320 So that's not going to be an issue.

00:04:48.300 Yeah.

00:04:48.880 Um, but yeah, it is iffy.

00:04:50.480 Yeah. And also, I mean, since you're a model too, like you've been in the business long,

00:04:55.040 long time. So like, obviously now you do both like modeling, content creation. Like

00:04:59.520 how did you find that transition of going from modeling to content creation? Kind of like

00:05:04.480 seamlessly moving back and forth.

00:05:05.840 I honestly, I didn't even see myself like modeling. Cause I feel like it was like out

00:05:10.500 of the picture almost.

00:05:11.620 Yeah. How'd you get into that?

00:05:12.820 Dude, I don't know.

00:05:15.000 I don't remember.

00:05:16.140 One day, this is actually 2019. Like end of 2019, um, I got signed to my agency and I was

00:05:23.600 signed in New York cause I lived in Maryland.

00:05:24.960 So I was like, obviously I need to be near it at least. And they were great. They're

00:05:30.760 called the between. So they focus on models who are, um, just like sizes, sizes, sizes.

00:05:38.360 It's like, like it just felt so representative of women, just period. You know, they weren't

00:05:45.340 real bodies.

00:05:46.280 Yeah. It wasn't like a specific body type or a specific size, look, whatever. Like

00:05:51.320 they're so welcoming. And I just really, I just really liked that. So I decided to apply

00:05:56.980 and they were like, actually, we've had you like on our little mood board for a while.

00:06:00.260 Oh, I love that.

00:06:00.800 I was like, okay, period. So I got a job.

00:06:02.200 And so, um, yeah, after that, like I worked with a lot of brands, a lot of, uh, dope

00:06:09.000 I was savage.

00:06:10.380 Oh yeah. Yeah.

00:06:11.360 I'm working with skins.

00:06:12.280 Period.

00:06:13.180 Um, so yeah, I don't know. It's just been great after like, it was very smooth. I think

00:06:18.260 also when you've been content creator, you've, you've been around cameras for a long time.

00:06:23.140 Like it just came really easy, but there was still a lot of things I had to learn. Like,

00:06:26.880 um, just being on set, obviously you're respectful of everyone and like you're nice to be around.

00:06:31.980 Yeah.

00:06:32.460 And luckily I haven't had that many weird, you know, things, experiences on set.

00:06:37.100 Well, also like, I'm so curious, like as like, especially as a curvy model, because

00:06:41.640 you're a plus girl, which we hardly see if we do see it. It's like, it's like the kind 1.00

00:06:48.620 where it's like, is she curvy or is she just bigger than Bella Hadid? You know what I mean? 0.99

00:06:52.500 Like it's, it's obviously like beauty standards are so constrictive and they've like dominated

00:06:56.960 the entertainment industry for so long. So like, how did you find going into the industry

00:07:01.380 knowing that, but understanding like, obviously they're trying to represent all body types

00:07:05.820 at this point. I mean, they're doing the best they can. Yeah. I feel like we've made tremendous

00:07:09.100 progress, but like, was it so much work? Yeah. Was it strange when you first went in? Was

00:07:14.640 it like a little weird? Yeah. Cause you know, like I said, I was like, I didn't even think

00:07:17.580 I could be a model. Cause also when I started, I was maybe like a 12, 14, now I'm like a 14,

00:07:24.020 16. Yeah. Yeah. So I just felt very, again, like mid, very midsize. I guess like that's

00:07:31.580 how they would call it. Yeah. And I was like, I just don't think that I am able to, I don't

00:07:40.080 know. It just felt weird. It definitely felt weird at first. Yeah. I don't, do I even fall

00:07:43.380 in the category of like a model. It's just felt really weird at first. Yeah. But then

00:07:46.940 I started to think like, there's so many women who look like me and not even just like body 0.99

00:07:51.440 wise, but like feature wise. And like, we have the same history. We have, we come from very

00:07:56.780 similar, you know, uh, like ethnic backgrounds. Yeah. Like all of that stuff. I feel like it's

00:08:02.840 so important to push forward, even if it's not just about your body. Yeah. Um, so yeah,

00:08:07.920 I'm just, I'm good to represent really at the end of the day, whoever feels like, you

00:08:12.200 know, represented by me, like I'm happy to do that. Even if you don't exactly look like

00:08:16.540 me. Yeah. Especially, I feel like too, as women of color and, and bigger women of color,

00:08:22.940 like in, in the entertainment space, like for me, um, my body is not a huge part of my content

00:08:29.440 literally at all, but that doesn't stop people from commenting on it. And even yours, like, although

00:08:34.460 you are a model, your body is not the focal point of everything. It's just like, it's a part of your

00:08:40.320 branding. It's not the entire thing, but because also we're women too, we identify as women. They're

00:08:45.340 like, well, I'm going to talk about every single piece of your inch of your body from your hairline

00:08:49.760 down to your toes. Uh, and like, how has that experience been with you being online? Cause you've

00:08:53.900 been online for a long time too. It was like a creator. So there's, it's been a learning curve for

00:08:58.200 sure. Cause at first I always felt like you said, like I had to talk about every single thing

00:09:02.920 all the time. Yeah. The cellulite and the stretch marks and like, how do you keep things at bay?

00:09:08.140 Yeah. What's your workout routine? I'm like, I'm just existing. Like maybe I'm just like a human

00:09:12.800 being. Like maybe like I do a lot of other things than just talk about my body. That's why the whole

00:09:18.080 like body positivity movement kind of fell off for me. Um, and now I'm just like, yeah, I'm just like,

00:09:23.880 I, I provide a lot more than just what my body looks like. I agree. You know, I'm, I'm like,

00:09:29.440 yeah, I'm a person. Yeah. And I think by shifting to that, instead of feeling like people are putting

00:09:35.940 me in a box, um, cause I think people feel comfortable doing that. Like, yeah, especially

00:09:40.240 for you as a model, like too, because they're like, they just feel so entitled to your body

00:09:46.120 and to comment on your body. Yeah. Even though that's not even really the, like, sometimes you're

00:09:50.900 just posting, like, you'll be posting about your cat. You'll post about your plants. And then they're

00:09:54.820 like, Oh, I have that stomach too. It's like, girl, this has nothing. Yeah. Or it's like,

00:10:00.060 or it's like terrible men, like feeling the need to say terrible shit to you. Like, do you have men 1.00

00:10:04.360 ever commenting on you? All the time. I think it died down now. Cause, um, I don't care.

00:10:10.580 Honestly, I think it's because they get bored. Yeah. Like I think it usually happens to like

00:10:15.840 people who are like up and coming now. Yeah. So before when I was like growing a lot more,

00:10:20.420 very, you know, rapidly, it happened a lot for sure. Yeah. Um, reposting was super big

00:10:25.500 back then too. Like your photos and stuff like that. She's that bitch. Yeah. I want to eat. 1.00

00:10:31.700 Like, what do you mean? Yeah. And what? Yeah. And what? Yeah. And okay. Like what's it to you?

00:10:36.100 Yeah. That's why I'm always like, fat's not an insult. Yeah. Anything else? Yeah. I got a couple,

00:10:39.880 but I want to let you get them off first before I step in. Well, actually the other day, um,

00:10:44.360 I posted on Valentine's Day cause it was Taco Tuesday. Yeah. And Carla actually got a video of me. Yeah. Um, cause I was eating a taco.

00:10:50.420 And I was like, Oh, that's cute. Like I'm just going to post it for Valentine's Day. Yeah. And some random dude who looked like,

00:10:56.020 I told him he looked like he belonged on Ed, Ed and Eddie. He just, first of all, you look 15. Yeah. Why are you on my page?

00:11:04.340 Yeah. Anyway, um, he commented like the burger emoji and then he was like, and then she wants a high value man.

00:11:11.100 Says who is the high value man in the room with us right now? Or are you talking about? Yeah. Literally. Also I'm like,

00:11:16.920 good one. Who said I'm looking for a man too. No shit. But also like, yeah, I'm gonna eat the burger.

00:11:22.420 And the man. Yeah. I'm like, what? I'm gonna eat one first and then the next. Yeah. Thank you.

00:11:26.960 That's insane. I know. If I had a nickel. I know. Goddamn. And it's just, you know, for what? Yeah.

00:11:32.440 That's just the point. Then it's like, um, I usually get like the DMs on my stories.

00:11:36.680 They'd be like, oh, you're so beautiful. Blah, blah, blah. And then when I don't reply, like you fat bitch. 1.00

00:11:41.980 You're ugly. Anyway, they change their mind. They switch up on you immediately. That's pretty crazy. 1.00

00:11:46.760 They're talking to themselves. You're like, you don't even need me for those conversations. You seem like I'm having a good time all by yourself. Honestly.

00:11:52.000 In the DMs all by yourself. You scroll up. There's millions of them. Yeah. Yeah. I get that all the time.

00:11:58.120 I even have men like they'll comment on what I look like. And then if I feel like I have the time, I'll say something back. And then they're like, haha, she replied. She went. Here's another thing, too. If I do post that and like, let's say like I'm like, obviously I advocate for body neutrality more so. I feel like that works better for me. Yeah.

00:12:20.100 Because I don't want to feel any sort of like emotion towards my body, whether it's positive or negative. Like I just wanted to understand it for what it is and it exists to keep me alive. And that's it. Like that's how I want to hold it. And that's how I want to feel towards it. And I feel like that's such a radical statement. Like because terrible men are like, well, you're just promoting obesity. I'm like existing is not the same thing as promoting, first of all.

00:12:45.940 And second of all, like obese compared to who? Like to what? Yeah. And they don't. They always hide it under the guise of like, oh, I just care about health. And I'm like, no, you don't. No, you don't.

00:12:58.400 Because then what pisses me off, too, it's like, like I said, I could be eating a taco and enjoying it. Right. Yeah. But then let a skinny girl do that. She's quirky. 1.00

00:13:10.060 They're like goals. Goals. Yeah, literally. I can eat two pizzas in one sitting. Yeah. Goals.

00:13:15.160 Like, girl, so can I. Oh, but when I do it, all of a sudden it's disgusting. Right. No, I feel that.

00:13:21.440 It's just, it's just annoying. I see that on Twitter a lot, too. I try to stay away from Twitter now because I'm like.

00:13:25.160 Twitter is, oh man, Twitter is something else. That's a different world.

00:13:29.660 It is something else over there. It's the Wild West on Twitter. Like there's no laws.

00:13:34.880 No rules. Nothing. Everyone's like.

00:13:36.780 There's no regulation whatsoever over there. It's really, really bad.

00:13:40.720 Hey, y'all. We're going to take a quick break from the show to hear from our sponsor for today,

00:13:50.020 It's more than common. It's actually normal. But what's crazy is that not many people openly talk

00:15:22.660 of delicious tea. And that's the true tea, babe. Trust me, when you crack open one of these

00:15:33.560 three flavors. The Grim Leafer, Rest in Peach, and Armless Palmer. And can we talk about the

00:15:43.960 six grams of premium agave, each can is 30 calories and hits you with that 30 milligram dose of caffeine

00:15:49.940 plus B vitamins. Liquid Death's new iced teas are available now with free shipping on Amazon and

00:16:00.820 Liquid Death apparel purchase available exclusively at liquiddeath.com slash drew. Exclusions may apply.

00:16:07.040 That's liquiddeath.com slash drew. Now back to the show. And it's, I've actually had quite a few

00:16:13.540 creators on the show who have said like, I stay off Twitter completely because it's so bad, especially

00:16:17.620 like in the quote retweets and stuff. Like they'd be going off in there and they, especially men.

00:16:25.280 And they're also like, I say this all the time, but I'm like, you are disgusting to look at if I'm 0.93

00:16:31.280 being absolutely 100% real with you. So who are you to like comment on what I look like? Nobody.

00:16:38.540 I know. Why would I ask you? It's always the ugliest one. Like it, obviously, obviously I watch your

00:16:44.960 videos. So I'm always thinking like, that's such a true statement. They're balding. Yeah. They're ugly.

00:16:50.620 Like you have clearly nothing going for you. You don't have money. And like, you're not even

00:16:55.780 money. Like, I'm sorry. Like not even the bare minimum, the bare necessities. Not even what your

00:17:01.160 gender role says you should be doing, which is making money. And you're a white man and you're 0.89

00:17:04.920 not even thriving in this society. I'm sorry, but like you missed the memo. You got a head start 0.99

00:17:10.140 and you're behind me. What the hell? What is that? It's crazy to me. It's really crazy to me. 0.99

00:17:15.300 Well, and I think that I actually just made a video about this, but I was talking about

00:17:20.360 this video where this guy, it's like a podcast, which is every time a white man makes a podcast 0.98

00:17:26.460 where he wants to talk about how women suck, an angel falls from heaven. That's just a fact, 0.99

00:17:31.380 like a scientific fact. I don't make the rules. That's just what happens. He was talking to

00:17:36.020 this girl and he was like, I think we can all agree that there is such a thing as like ugly

00:17:41.580 people and beautiful people. Like there is like a determining like decision. And she was like,

00:17:47.880 I don't think so. Cause I think beauty is, she said beauty is in the eye of the beholder,

00:17:51.380 but she's basically saying like beauty subjective. Like it just depends on the person. And she's

00:17:55.540 also, no, I don't necessarily agree with that statement. And then he was like, Oh, so you think

00:17:59.640 you're a 10? And then she was like me personally. Yeah. And he goes, I'm going to, I'm not, no offense.

00:18:06.020 First of all, if a guy says that to you, he's going to offend you. Yeah. Uh, he's like, no offense.

00:18:10.660 You're not a 10. And she goes, okay, that's just your opinion. Yeah. And I said, work bitch, 1.00

00:18:16.140 first of all. But I was talking about how like, he got mad that it didn't bother her that he said 0.99

00:18:21.780 that because she doesn't give a shit what this guy says. I'm like, I, in my video, I literally said 0.99

00:18:27.740 like, this guy looks like he sells Bibles for a living. And he's trying to tell you, he's trying

00:18:31.600 to tell you you're ugly. Like, okay, bitch. Sure. Built like a train whistle, but sure, sure, sure, 1.00

00:18:36.640 sure. I was like, um, yeah, no, your nipples touch each other. I, we have nothing in common. 0.99

00:18:42.280 That's okay. I'm not going to ask you. It's cool if you don't find me attractive. And I

00:18:46.300 think that's, um, that's how you feel too. It's like, if I am not trying to date you or

00:18:53.240 like I'm attracted to you or like even feel any type of way towards you, you, I don't

00:18:58.100 care, but I especially don't care in general. Yeah. I always talk about how I always, I always

00:19:03.960 say like, be your own muse because you set your own beauty standards and you don't have

00:19:09.820 to, you know, confine yourself and like try to change yourself and do all that. And also

00:19:14.320 if you want to change yourself, okay, go do that then. Yeah. That's what I said that

00:19:17.340 too. That's totally fine. Like you, you, as long as it's for you and not for the validation

00:19:21.960 of men. Exactly. Like at least, you know, you, you are able to make your own decisions

00:19:26.280 and do that for yourself. Great. Amazing. I support. Yeah. Women support women. Also, I feel

00:19:31.860 like there's not enough of that. Yeah. Especially in our industry. I was talking about that with

00:19:35.640 my best friend, Danny DMC. Shout out to you. Um, yeah, we were saying how it's so, I think

00:19:42.160 in the influencing thing, I feel like there's not a lot of friendships that are just outwardly

00:19:47.200 friendships and especially between women. Yeah. Like friendships first. Yeah. And I think

00:19:53.680 is very unique. I think that's why people really like us too. And we're just very organic

00:19:57.980 and we're just hanging out. That's why it works. Like between the two of you, but also

00:20:02.920 I feel like sometimes I feel like you don't, you know, there isn't enough credit given to

00:20:08.760 the audience. Like the audience can tell if it's real, if you're being for real, if you're

00:20:13.300 genuine, if you're kind, if you're like a lot of times they can tell. Sometimes obviously

00:20:18.600 you have exceptions here and there where people kind of fool you a little bit, but I think

00:20:22.740 for the most part, especially now, I feel like they're pretty hip to the game. Like

00:20:25.840 they can be like, yeah, that doesn't seem like a real genuine friendship, but it's one

00:20:30.260 of those things too, where it's like, what do your friends look like? Like, yeah. Are

00:20:34.440 your friends, are all your friends the same race? Are all of them built like you or do 0.99

00:20:38.480 all your friends look different? It reminds me of like the, the brand trips that everyone

00:20:41.960 was talking about. Oh girl. And yeah, it's wild too. Cause obviously I've been on this for

00:20:48.580 a while. So I've seen a lot of brand trips. Like this one is not the only one that's

00:20:52.120 happened. And it's all the same. It's all skinny white girls. And I mean, like what 1.00

00:20:59.680 type of diversity are you bringing to the table? Like, why would you care or no, why

00:21:03.280 would you say that you care about it if you're not doing anything? Yeah. They're

00:21:07.460 like, it's a thought. It's a thought. I thought about it. That counts. That's, give me a cookie.

00:21:12.800 Same thing. So yeah, it's, it's wild. And I wish actually my best friend just went on a

00:21:17.760 brand trip and she was elated because we've never done that. We've never gotten to do

00:21:21.540 that. We've never gotten to represent in that way. Yeah. And yeah. Well, you know,

00:21:26.480 what's so funny is, um, Tess Holliday, adore her, love her forever. Um, she's a good friend

00:21:32.680 of ours and like, she has a Galentine's day every year. And this year she came out with

00:21:39.160 a new line with H&M cause she's expanding their sizing, which is incredible. And, um, my

00:21:43.740 mom and sister actually went to their Galentine's day. I couldn't go cause I was on a, I was on

00:21:46.980 a trip already, but I wish I could have cause it looks so fun. But my sister was telling

00:21:51.340 me that when she went to the party, like everybody, every girl there or every person

00:21:57.080 there, cause not everyone identified as women there, but everyone looked different, but they

00:22:01.260 were all fat women, plus size people in general. They were just like all there for the good 1.00

00:22:07.320 vibes and to shop and have a good time. Like try on all the new clothes that she's coming 0.89

00:22:12.000 out with. And I was just like, she said, I've never felt so comfortable in my entire

00:22:15.920 life. Like going to a space like that where you, you're all loved for exactly who you are,

00:22:21.240 exactly how you look. And for some people it's like a crime for you to like exist in

00:22:26.780 a space like that. You guys are insane. 1.00

00:22:28.860 Insane to me. I think also I was going to piggyback off of that because even just the shopping 0.98

00:22:33.520 experience for a bigger person, I know, kill me off of my head.

00:22:38.160 Now I've, because I wear the same brands all the time now, so I know the sizing, but

00:22:43.820 when I first started, I'm like, Oh, that's hard. That's a whole headache. And I hate going

00:22:49.700 to the mall. Same. I used to work for Abercrombie. Did you really?

00:22:55.060 Not only was it mad weird and awkward, but also I was like the only non white that was 0.99

00:23:01.120 there. And one time I pull my immigration card all the time. So I'm not from here.

00:23:06.920 Okay. Yeah. Don't get it twisted. I'm not American. But one time, sometimes I like,

00:23:15.200 don't know what I'm saying half the time because of the English language is a little bit weird.

00:23:19.920 I got the hang of it now.

00:23:21.100 Because English is your second language.

00:23:22.480 Yeah. Because I'm an immigrant. You know, because I'm not from here.

00:23:25.280 No, but basically I was talking to my manager and I was telling her about outerwear. Now I

00:23:32.360 know the word is outerwear. I was calling it outwear. I was missing the ER. And it pissed

00:23:37.420 me off because she looked at me like I was crazy. I was like, okay, it's not like I didn't

00:23:41.180 say anything different. Like I just said that far off. Like, come on. And she was like, the

00:23:45.020 what? And I was like, the outwear. Parkas. Coats. Puffers. Are we putting those out because

00:23:51.020 it's wintertime? Yeah.

00:23:52.180 And she was like, the outwear. She was like, oh, you mean the outerwear?

00:23:55.440 Yeah. And I was like, yeah, I basically just said that. But okay. And just all of that

00:24:03.520 combined. Yeah. All of that combined just, it just pisses me off. Like, I feel like not

00:24:10.860 just immigrants, but brown and black people in those settings. Yeah. Where we're constantly

00:24:15.480 having to like code switch or like keep it like nice, right and tight around white people 0.94

00:24:23.160 because we have to make them comfortable and we have to make sure they understand us and

00:24:28.520 we're not being crazy or over emotional. And when it comes to the shopping thing too, I

00:24:35.260 actually told one of my friends, like she and I were talking about this and I was telling

00:24:39.840 her my family for the longest time has called it like white people sizing. Like when you shop

00:24:44.900 certain brands where it's like, you know how like women, especially when they shop in like 1.00

00:24:49.880 regular retail, they could be many different sizes at many different stores. Like I, whenever

00:24:55.580 people are like, oh, what size are you in pants? I'm like, I, it depends on the pants. Like

00:24:59.860 I, you gotta, let me, let me grab the fabric and I'll tell you to the number what size I

00:25:04.900 am that day. Like in there. And it's, um, so sometimes my family and I will be like, is

00:25:11.740 it like a real two X or is it like white people two X? You know what I mean? Like is a white 0.96

00:25:15.560 people two X is like an extra large. So like, you know, or a large. Yeah. And, uh, I told

00:25:20.960 my friend that once because she told me like, she struggles to shop. It like makes her feel

00:25:24.860 bad. And, and I told her, well, depending on the store, it's probably like white people 0.95

00:25:28.720 sizing. And she was like, what? And I explained that to her. And then she told me it like makes

00:25:32.840 her feel better now when she goes out and shops because she's like, that's not my fault.

00:25:37.120 That's the clothes fault. And I'm like, it's true for our bodies. Exactly. It's just never

00:25:42.140 a thought. Yeah. We don't, we're not running in their mind. Yeah. Um, but yeah, that does

00:25:49.600 make it a lot better. Um, but then it's like, then I'm not going to shop there. You

00:25:53.220 know? Exactly. Also I know cause sometimes their jeans, like they'll flatten my butt or

00:25:56.880 like it just doesn't look for the legs. Yeah. Or like there's like a little gap in 0.78

00:26:01.740 the back. Like it's just not, I actually used to have like a series like that on YouTube

00:26:06.600 years ago and, um, I'd be like a size 14, um, at H and M or a size 14. And I would just

00:26:14.320 try on stuff, you know, but only trying on stuff like that's, that says 14 or extra large

00:26:19.840 to see how that, how it's like so different. And people would be like, Oh my God, can you

00:26:24.360 go to American Eagle? Cause I love their jeans. I would go there. And, um, that was like,

00:26:28.280 okay. Yeah. But yeah, everything was so different. And then people obviously in the comments, a lot

00:26:33.620 of them were supportive, but some were like, well, you're, then you're not a 14. Well

00:26:36.640 then you're there. You're actually a lot bigger. Why are you lying about your size? So I'm

00:26:40.060 like, why would, why are you telling me about my body first of all? And why would I lie?

00:26:45.160 What do you have to gain about lying? For what? Well, you also saw me in the other store in

00:26:50.160 the 14. So like, you know what I mean? Like, yeah. Hey y'all, we're going to take a quick

00:28:06.940 ZocDoc dot com slash comment. Now back to the show. It's also indicative of, I think,

00:28:14.100 the mentality around like we have to fit our bodies into the clothes. Like we're not supposed

00:28:20.160 to, like the clothes are supposed to fit you. You're not supposed to, it's not the other

00:28:23.700 way around. Yeah. So it's, it, it reinforces that idea when they're like, well, maybe you

00:28:28.700 need to be bigger. Yeah. And it's like, well, or maybe that the sizing is not the same across

00:28:34.160 the board because they don't give a shit if you're bigger than like a 12 or 14. If you're 0.98

00:28:39.260 bigger than that, it, even then the 12 and the 14, even then it's very, very rare. Yeah.

00:28:44.440 Like that it's actually a 12 or a 14. Yeah. Sometimes. And I don't know, have you ever

00:28:49.600 been styled before? It's horrible. Unfortunately, it's really bad. I have a stylist now that I

00:28:57.400 love, but like, man, did I go through them in the beginning? Yeah. It's really hard like

00:29:02.120 to get styled for anything. And this is obviously like, if you're like in entertainment or anything

00:29:06.220 and you hire someone to find clothes for you, to put looks together for you. Thank God for

00:29:12.040 my stylist now. But like in the beginning it was so, it's honestly so discouraging. Yes.

00:29:17.840 Because you're not, again, they don't think about you. No, at all. Like it's not, or they'll

00:29:22.420 be like, Oh, if it looks good on this person and look good on you. No. Like it just, no.

00:29:27.920 Yeah. Like it just, it won't. And the same thing, but with modeling, they'll put me in poses

00:29:33.000 that don't make sense. Yeah. They want me to do that. Like look, crouch down with the, uh,

00:29:37.440 looking all like, uh, Vogue. That does not blend. Yeah. I have a stomach that protrudes.

00:29:43.120 Yeah. And has rolls when I do that. You want me to crease your stuff or I'm not going to

00:29:49.040 be, I'm just not going to be able to do that. Yeah. Um, just like random squat poses. Like

00:29:53.000 my knees can't take it. Yeah. I got a lot of weight. Yeah. I got this ass. Hey, like,

00:29:59.380 I'm sorry. I can't do it. Um, I'll try. I'm going to still do it. But then it's like,

00:30:03.280 it's not going to look the way that you want me to. Yeah. You know? Yeah. Exactly. And it's not

00:30:09.000 what they think, but they just like, don't know, which is the part that's shocking. Yeah. It's like,

00:30:13.160 it's like, they've never met a big person in their whole life. Like never met a fat person,

00:30:17.580 never met a curvy person, never met a midsize person. Like literally no one past the size like

00:30:21.560 four. They've never met them. Or even sometimes just again, like the clothes don't make sense for

00:30:26.220 my body. Like they'll put me in like a mini skirt and my whole, my butt cheeks are out. Yeah. I'm like,

00:30:33.280 I wouldn't buy this. Yeah. I'm modeling it, but like, yeah, I wouldn't buy it. This is impossible

00:30:38.740 to like fit into. You can't even walk in it, let alone squat. Like you want me to. So it just

00:30:44.220 doesn't make any sense. Well, I think too, when I've done like styling before, you know, like sometimes

00:30:50.200 they'll ask you like, Oh, what do you like, what are you comfortable with? Like, what do you want to

00:30:55.020 highlight? What do you maybe want to draw attention away from whatever? I'm like, I'm not particularly

00:30:59.200 like, Oh, I hate this. I hate that. But even if I was, you know, your job is to make me feel pretty.

00:31:05.300 Like that's like the job that you're hired to do. And it's hard because you're being, you're on

00:31:09.900 camera, you're being photographed. And so you like, I would tell them like, I don't like this. And I,

00:31:15.940 I'm not a big fan of highlighting this. I would like to cut, but I do like highlighting this.

00:31:21.100 I would like give them like a very detailed understanding like of what, cause I know again,

00:31:25.760 like I know my own body best. So I know what looks good on my body. I know what I feel comfortable

00:31:29.540 and confident in. And then, you know, I'm, I'm willing to be pushed, but at the same time,

00:31:34.840 like you got to make me feel comfortable a little bit. Right. And then sometimes like,

00:31:39.560 bitch, if you're a big girl, like if you're a curvy girl, if you're a plus girl, like sometimes 1.00

00:31:43.460 they dress you like a corporate woman. Like you literally look like literally the, Oh my God. 1.00

00:31:49.240 The florals. Yeah. The like, it's like all titty, nothing else. Like, like shapeless from

00:31:54.540 the titties down all titty up here. Like that's it. No art. Or if they do show your arms, it's 0.98

00:32:00.340 like sleeveless or they do like cold shoulders. I'm like, yeah, you're aging me. Like on top

00:32:05.380 of that, I'm like, you're making me look like I'm like a 40 year old. We already look a lot

00:32:08.660 more mature because of our bodies. So like make me look a little more youthful.

00:32:13.520 Yeah. I, I, I'm not like a Deborah. Yeah. Literally. Like I know. And sometimes, and

00:32:20.720 then you're like, because I don't want to be rude or whatever. If I, if I hate it, I'll

00:32:26.000 literally be like, great. Oh my God. Love. And take some pictures. Yeah. Yeah. I'm so

00:32:34.060 good. Yeah. No, I haven't, well, I only get styled like for photo shoots, but yeah, now I'm

00:32:40.620 like a lot more outspoken at first. I was like very much like, okay, like I guess

00:32:44.600 it's my hair. Um, but one time like they didn't even have, they had like my size, but

00:32:49.200 it wasn't my size. Yeah. Um, they had just like your regular 14 and, but it just, it

00:32:56.260 was just very small. Like it, it was very tight fabric and they didn't have a lot of

00:33:01.220 options for me. Like they had, so, and I was the only plus size girl that day. Um, the

00:33:06.260 crew was great though. Like that wasn't really an issue. It was more so that they

00:33:09.700 didn't think further. And that's what pisses me off. It's like the being

00:33:13.200 considerate. Yeah. It's like they had so many options for the other girls. 0.93

00:33:16.720 And then I had two outfits to choose from. Yeah. And they're like, okay, well

00:33:19.760 what about this? And then they asked me if I could use like my own stuff. And

00:33:23.400 I'm like, what? You guys hire me. I mean, right. I'm like, do I get like double

00:33:28.920 rate? Yeah. Cause I'm styling myself at this point. Since I provided the outfits. Or is that

00:33:33.600 sometimes like they can't get my hair right. One time for a photo shoot, I look like

00:33:37.720 a straight grandma. Like I'm not gonna lie. A senora. Yeah. True. Like I was, I was

00:33:44.200 like an Italian woman in the fifties. It was so bad. I don't even know why. Like 1.00

00:33:49.180 this lady got just, she just got really happy with my hair. She was like, we're

00:33:53.060 gonna do something crazy. She like pin curled my hair. She had me on like very 0.99

00:33:56.860 tight, like, they try to do my ponytail. They try to do my ponytail. Yeah. That I do

00:34:02.420 with a little slick back. But it's like, if you want me to do that, I can just do it

00:34:06.260 myself before I get to set because now I look 55. And personally, yeah, I don't

00:34:12.000 want to look 55. Especially cause the campaign was like for like tweens. Like 0.76

00:34:15.980 we were supposed to be young and fun and fresh out of high school. Like, ooh, and I

00:34:19.940 look like the mom who wants to be young. It looks terrible. It's like a good life 1.00

00:34:23.840 crisis. I, that's a, another point too, is like hair and makeup is a big part of

00:34:28.860 that also because I, obviously I have a full-time hair and makeup artist now.

00:34:32.880 Thank God. Um, but he just gets my face. Like I've worked with other hair and makeup

00:34:38.620 artists, God bless him. Um, but he is the only one who gets my face and it's

00:34:43.160 because I've talked about it before, but like I have very round features because

00:34:47.960 I'm Polynesian. So like a big round face, big round cheek, big eyes. Like, and so if

00:34:53.420 they've only ever done face, like I always look at their work and if they only ever

00:34:57.640 done like more people with like Eurocentric features, they're not going to know how to

00:35:03.100 do my face. Like it's, it's going to look insane. And I know because it's happened to

00:35:07.600 me and I've been like, great. Awesome. And then I had to like fix it myself because I

00:35:12.160 just hate how I looked. Like it just made me feel really uncomfortable and I just didn't

00:35:17.640 feel pretty. And especially if it's for work, like you're working, you're literally

00:35:21.120 working, you're supposed to feel good and comfortable and like yourself still, even

00:35:25.580 if you have like an elevated, like you just elevated version of yourself. Exactly. It's

00:35:30.780 so important. And like, I think it almost, it almost feels taboo to talk about because

00:35:35.160 I am thankful for everyone who works with me and like, everyone's great and it's, it's

00:35:40.060 still talent. It's just, you don't know how to work on me. And I think we skipped over

00:35:46.460 like, it's like, you're not bad, but you just can't work on me. Yeah. It's, and I've

00:35:51.400 done that with stylists too. I'm like, if you don't dress big girls, like if you don't

00:35:55.540 dress fat women, if you don't dress curvy girls, like nothing, all your clients are, are 1.00

00:36:00.560 really, really small, then that's probably not going to work. Yeah. Cause you don't know 0.97

00:36:03.800 how to shop for me. And that's not necessarily a, like, it is a bad thing, but it's not, that's

00:36:08.880 not necessarily your fault. It's just not your, your thing, I guess. And photographers

00:36:12.480 too. Yeah. I always, I want to work with you. And then I look and

00:36:16.440 they have no plus size showing on your page. Well, you want to work with me for what?

00:36:22.480 When have I ever worked with you? Well, and it's just not the same. It's just like, and

00:36:25.880 it's naive to think that it's all the same. Like the one people are like, Oh, well, I

00:36:29.260 just don't see things like that. I'm like, cause you don't have to. Right. Some of us

00:36:33.980 don't have a choice. You're new to it. Yeah. Of course not because they're always ready

00:36:38.040 for you. You know what I mean? And it's, it's discouraging, but then I think what it

00:36:42.860 is on the flip side of that is like, it makes you even more grateful when you do

00:36:46.160 find really, really talented, great people who can work with anybody. Yeah. Which

00:36:50.400 is always like a much better situation. It makes you feel more confident. It makes

00:36:54.800 you feel more beautiful. That's how you should feel when you're like, you know, doing beauty

00:36:59.420 stuff, self care stuff, anything like that, especially shopping, something as simple as

00:37:03.120 shopping. Like, yeah, it doesn't have to, it shouldn't, it shouldn't be as hard as it

00:37:06.760 is. Yeah. It's funny. I did my clothing collaboration with change. Right. And their genderless size 0.93

00:37:13.220 inclusive clothing and it's sustainably made was like a huge reason. All of them are which

00:37:17.860 huge are huge factors why I worked with them in the first place. But when they put out my

00:37:23.860 clothing and I like was promoting it and stuff, someone was like, I've ordered from change

00:37:28.080 before. Just so you guys know, it runs a little big. So like I got a 2X, but it is a little

00:37:32.760 big. And it's funny cause I wrote back to them and I was like, it feels big because it's

00:37:38.660 actually a 2X. The size. Like, like that's the, it feels too big because it's like true

00:37:43.760 to size. Like it's a literal 2X. It's not like a 2X should fit like that. Like that's

00:37:48.840 the point. Yeah. And so I was like, it's not too big. It's an actual 2X. I promise.

00:37:55.180 And they were like, oh, that's such a good point because when we shop, especially as bigger

00:37:59.760 women, we always size up. Like I can't even tell you how many times I've been like, I'm

00:38:04.320 going to get like a bigger size. I'm going to size up like maybe one or two sizes just

00:38:08.380 in case. Yeah. I literally just talked about it literally before coming on here. Yeah.

00:38:12.220 We're talking about my pants. Where are these pants from? From skims. I was like, I thought

00:38:15.340 they would run a little bit small because they tend to run a little bit small. They're just

00:38:18.400 tight fitting clothes, whatever. And with my pants, especially cargoes, I want them to feel

00:38:22.180 a little bit loose, loose and comfy. And so I got a 2X. I got the 2X. I could fit two

00:38:28.580 people in that 2X for sure. And I was like, wow, I'm actually shook because that doesn't like never

00:38:34.220 happens. Yeah. It happens. Obviously I have a wide variety of sizes in my closet. Yeah.

00:38:38.600 But especially for pants, I will always size up. Yeah. And it made me feel really good

00:38:44.820 because I was like, this is great because now I can return this to someone who's actually

00:38:47.420 2X. Yeah. Can wear it. Absolutely. And if these are in X style, I still have a lot of

00:38:51.620 room. Yeah. And exactly what I wanted. And that's how it should be. That's how it should

00:38:55.300 be. You know? Literally. It should be true to size. That's why. Well, don't say that you

00:38:59.420 can you sell a 2X if it's not a 2X. Yeah. That's why the 4X for change is like, which

00:39:06.060 is also indicative, like the size inclusivity of it all is important because like my dad,

00:39:12.660 for example, like my dad's 6'6". So my dad's a big dude and always has been. It is almost

00:39:18.460 impossible for him to shop anywhere because he's also a 14 in shoes. So like where am I

00:39:25.300 going to shop the Jolly Green Giant store? Like there's nowhere for him to shop. Same

00:39:29.680 with my boyfriend. He's a big dude too. So like finding clothes that fit them and make

00:39:34.480 them feel good is really hard. Like and so with change, like my dad was like, this is

00:39:40.080 my new personality, like wearing all change. I love that. Because he loves the 4X sizes 0.99

00:39:45.100 fits him well and it fits good and he feels good and he's confident in it. Yeah. And like

00:39:49.600 that's the point of that should be the point of clothing. I know. It's supposed to enhance

00:39:53.320 it, make you feel good, make you feel confident, comfortable, all that stuff. And it's just

00:39:58.020 not nearly as common as it should be, to be honest. It's a bummer. So today we're going

00:40:03.520 to be talking about modeling as a woman, specifically with Miss Javi, the expert herself. Obviously

00:40:09.200 I am not a model, but I am an expert because I said so and it's my show. So I'm telling you

00:40:15.020 I'm an expert. Javi's an actual expert. There you go.

00:40:17.560 I can confirm that she is an expert. Yeah. We've talked about this. Exactly. So for those

00:40:24.280 of you who don't know, what we'd like to do here on the comment section is we bring videos

00:40:27.500 that I was tagged in that are applicable to our topic today and then we kiki, laugh about

00:40:31.120 them or agree, which is not very often, but we'll see what happens. So this first video,

00:40:37.640 this is a guy who's talking to the camera and he's saying there's a little bit of confusion

00:40:42.840 confusion because like he's in quotes, because when somebody's overweight, everyone praises

00:40:47.960 them when they flaunt slash model their body. But when somebody is in great shape and flaunt

00:40:54.780 slash models their body, everyone says they're conceited. Who's everyone? Who says that? Who

00:41:01.640 tells hot people, Hey, put it away. I don't want to see that. Who says that? Who does that?

00:41:07.640 I, it's just so wild to me because why are you thinking about overweight people? Like

00:41:12.920 why are you, why are you so worried about us? So worried about, so worried. Yeah. Maybe

00:41:17.580 because I'm hotter than you. Like, sorry. Maybe get your bread up. I don't know. Take

00:41:21.540 it up with God. Clearly he hates you more than I do. That's, that's stupid. Sorry. What

00:41:27.140 a stupid thing to say. Hot people, thin people. They're so oppressed. Nobody ever wants to 1.00

00:41:34.020 see them ever. Nobody in a bikini. Nobody surfing. I don't want to see, I don't want

00:41:38.700 to see that. Put that away. You shouldn't be long on Sports Illustrated. Yeah. Yeah. That's

00:41:42.760 not your spot. Yeah. Yeah. I'm taking it. I'm taking it. They don't, you know what? They

00:41:48.160 don't get enough. They don't get enough representation. No. Thin people are not. I never see them.

00:41:53.240 They're never represented properly. Girl, go to hell. What a stupid thing to say. Like 1.00

00:41:58.340 they, people think they're conceited. People only say you're conceited when you're actually

00:42:03.260 conceited. Yeah. Like, it's like who, I mean, you gotta be a real hater to just be like hating

00:42:10.060 on everyone who doesn't look like, I mean, like let's, let's real. Yeah. That doesn't 0.99

00:42:15.080 happen in real life. No one is like pointing at skinny people and be like, don't wear a crop

00:42:19.660 top. Yeah. Because I don't want to see your abs. No one says that. No, you guys harass the

00:42:25.580 out of fat people all the time. Yeah. And God forbid they feel good in a tank top once 0.88

00:42:33.120 in a while because they don't want to show their arms sometimes. I know. Like the way

00:42:36.860 it's hot out. You guys, they, their like livelihoods are the center point of your thoughts all the

00:42:44.360 time. You have a problem. Like you have a problem. So you're talking about that's promoting

00:42:48.440 body. Oh, like that's promoting obesity. According to who, like you see that and you're like, oh my

00:42:55.000 gosh, I'm going to gain weight. Like, no. And they're the same ones that like probably

00:42:58.100 vape and like do cocaine. Like, okay. Then you're not as healthy as you are. You clearly

00:43:03.820 don't care. Like I had, um, I had Naomi Hartz on the show and she was, she had such a good 0.99

00:43:10.000 point where she was like, cause she gets those comments all the time. Right. Um, just as a

00:43:14.720 fat person existing on the internet, she gets those comments all the time. And she was talking 1.00

00:43:18.800 about how like, they'll say that to me, but like, these are the same men who like promote 0.98

00:43:23.780 having unprotected sex, which affects your health and could very well kill you. Uh, but you don't 0.82

00:43:29.760 seem to care about that. Mr. Health police. All of a sudden it's like, well, that's different.

00:43:34.760 That's different. Cause I don't hate that. So. And it's also like the heart issues and the,

00:43:39.380 what it's like anyone can have that. Yeah. Literally you can be born with a heart when

00:43:44.220 they say like, Oh, heart disease. Do you know what the leading cause of heart disease is? Smoking.

00:43:48.440 Do you know what all these bitches do? Vape. Yeah. So nicotine is the leading cause of heart 1.00

00:43:54.000 heart disease in the country. Look it up, bitch. So no one talks about it. Yeah. And everyone's 1.00

00:43:59.240 like, no, I'm going to focus on fat people wearing crop tops. What's your problem? Like,

00:44:04.200 I'm like, that's the real illness. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like I just, uh, not that

00:44:08.740 I get these comments all the time, but I, you know, my, I call them like coworkers, uh, cause

00:44:13.920 we do the same thing, but you know, they're bigger than me and, um, they're again, just

00:44:18.720 existing. Yeah. And that's the first thing. Yeah. That's like the first thing that they

00:44:22.500 comment on and they could be talking about makeup. Like they could be talking about food

00:44:25.460 like anything other than not their body. And that's still the main priority for people to

00:44:31.400 comment on. Yeah, absolutely. I, I saw, I saw actually a TikTok. It was on Twitter. Like

00:44:37.320 people were having a discourse about it, but it was like this small thin girl and she was

00:44:41.640 like, what I eat in a day. And she ate like a whole box of donuts, whether or not she

00:44:46.400 actually ate them is up for debate. It could have just been reviews. Who knows? But, um,

00:44:51.720 someone was like, Oh, I like, I'm so jealous. Like that someone can eat like this and look

00:44:56.380 like her. And someone else, uh, was like, first of all, she probably didn't actually eat all

00:45:02.400 those donuts. So it's like a waste of food. But second of all, the obsession with wanting

00:45:06.320 to watch thin people eat. But then when like fat people are eating or curvy people, plus 0.96

00:45:12.260 wise people, whatever, anyone non thin is eating or filming themselves eating. You guys want

00:45:17.640 to talk about health. Yeah. Like all of a sudden you guys are like dietitians, nutritionists,

00:45:21.700 like all of you are like. Honestly, even if they are, I literally just saw a TikTok who,

00:45:25.360 uh, she's a certified nutritionist. Yeah. And she, uh, was talking about how she loves to eat 0.65

00:45:31.660 and she doesn't gain weight because of this isn't that. And then all the, I think she 1.00

00:45:35.140 was deleting comments because I would've been on that ass. I would've been like, girl, how 0.99

00:45:38.620 are you a nutritionist? And you're talking about promoting this, promoting this being

00:45:42.160 and then she replied to a comment. Like an eating disorder mentality. Yeah. Literally.

00:45:45.820 Edie. Yeah. Completely. Yeah. And she replied to one of the comments, like pointing that

00:45:51.020 out. Yeah. Um, and she was like, well, as you eat healthy and you start to lose weight,

00:45:57.140 like you feel better. I was like, girl, my best friend is much healthier than me and she's

00:46:04.880 not skinny. So she's probably much healthier than you. Yeah. And it's just not indicative

00:46:10.540 of anything. That's why I've talked about how literally I've talked about, cause like

00:46:14.680 I, I go to the gym and stuff. I'm not a gym person by any means. The only workouts I have

00:46:19.180 are because my boyfriend is a licensed trainer. So I go to the gym for the brain, like, and it's

00:46:25.240 just movement. Like, that's how I see it. I'm like, it's movement to get my brain. Cause

00:46:29.440 I'm mentally ill. So I like to, I like to do that so that it gets me moving and it keeps

00:46:34.580 me healthy up here. Yeah. And I was recently talking to someone cause they were like, Oh,

00:46:38.960 can you show me pictures of like before and afters? Like when you were going to the gym

00:46:42.980 and I was like, um, I'm going to be a hundred percent real with you. I'm not doing those anymore.

00:46:46.720 Like I used to take pictures for like progress pictures, like back in the day, but now I don't

00:46:53.600 do that because it's body checking and it's very purest form. It's body checking. It's

00:46:57.240 nothing more than that. So I, first of all, don't want to promote that kind of content

00:47:01.180 because some people it's very triggering to see stuff like that. And then second of all,

00:47:05.620 it's not indicative of whether or not I was worthy of love, success, attention, anything

00:47:12.140 like that in my bigger size and my smaller, like whatever, whatever season my body's in,

00:47:17.720 um, is doesn't mean I'm more or less deserving of respect or love. Right. So I don't want

00:47:23.460 to put, keep those kinds of thoughts in my brain anymore. And by doing that, I don't want

00:47:27.560 to take pictures anymore. Cause I'm like, it's just not, it doesn't serve me. It's not fair

00:47:31.680 to me. And that's amazing. Cause I feel like not a lot of people think that way, especially

00:47:35.020 if they're going to the gym, they think that they need to have the before and afters and

00:47:39.020 like measuring their ways and like weighing themselves. I stopped weighing myself literally

00:47:44.680 like five years ago. Oh girl, same. I stopped weighing myself a long time ago. I don't own

00:47:48.460 a scale. Like you asked me, no idea. No idea. Honestly, none of my business. That's what

00:47:53.060 I think. Because also like there's all just because of a certain number doesn't mean it's

00:47:58.240 not indicative of health at all. Also BMI. Yeah. So that's what I said too. So it's like

00:48:04.740 everything that we've been taught about health and everything, like it just went out the window

00:48:08.460 for me. Yes. Um, and in college, like I was working, I very depressed and I

00:48:14.660 I was working out twice a day and I was super, I was like the skinniest I've ever been. And

00:48:20.020 of course everyone's like complimenting me and I'm thinking like, Oh my God, like hot 1.00

00:48:23.060 shit, whatever. And then I'm like, but I'm depressed. Yeah. But I'm not happy. And I 0.99

00:48:27.000 don't even feel like myself mentally. You're not healthy. Yeah. And then, you know, as I

00:48:32.000 started feeling better and you know, going to therapy and like being my better self, you

00:48:37.280 started to put on weight because you're happy because you're eating. You're not like restricting

00:48:40.800 yourself. You're living life. And now I still work out. I'm active. I play volleyball. I

00:48:45.060 literally just hosted an event with my best friend. We did like a workout Galentine's 1.00

00:48:48.660 Day. Yeah. I love that. And obviously we made sure to say, you know, this is a safe space.

00:48:52.200 We feel really safe in this space. Our trainers too are amazing. I love them to death. Yeah.

00:48:57.040 And they've just made us feel so welcome in a gym. And I feel like I wasn't. And that's

00:49:02.600 rare. Yes. Because you walk in and you feel like everyone's staring at you. Yeah. Like you

00:49:07.240 don't know what you're doing. They don't know like your fitness journey or just your

00:49:10.980 journey in general. So you feel like everyone's judging you. And sometimes they

00:49:14.280 are. Yeah. If not most times. Yeah. Yeah. So it just it felt really important for me and

00:49:20.720 my best friend to actually like have that space. I love that. For women and for bigger 1.00

00:49:27.800 women. Yeah. And it was such a beautiful thing. To come in like Kiki. Oh yeah. It was so sweet.

00:49:33.260 Because it is a it's a beautiful thing to find community and spaces where you are so notoriously

00:49:38.620 unwelcome all the time. Yeah. Because that toxic gym bro misogynistic mentality it's so rooted

00:49:45.420 in fat phobia and they are violently fat phobic not towards not just towards others but towards 0.97

00:49:50.200 themselves as well. And so I've talked about like my my journey with body neutrality and

00:49:56.900 then also like talking about the pics I said to I don't weigh myself because some people have

00:50:01.220 asked like what are some good tips to like start you know I really want to get started

00:50:04.780 on my fitness journey but like they're working on unpacking their internalized fat phobia

00:50:09.540 which is part of the process. Yeah. But I talked about like I don't weigh myself. I don't count

00:50:15.200 anything when I eat. I'm just like I eat to enjoy and that's it. Like it's just like food

00:50:21.140 is supposed to nourish you. It's not supposed to be demonized or be stigmatized to be something

00:50:27.040 that's there to harm you. That's just something you've developed because you've been in a society

00:50:32.120 where they're so so so so horrible to fat people like they're just they demonize fatness and

00:50:37.500 it's horrible. And so I feel like it's important for them to see representation. I think events

00:50:44.020 like that are so awesome and incredible and like just such a great way to kind of further

00:50:49.880 the conversation around what fitness looks like for everyone. It's not the same. It's not.

00:50:54.520 Not everyone's going to have the same goals. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. That's what I said too. I was

00:50:58.500 like I don't have like a fitness goal that I'm trying to reach. I say I honestly I like going

00:51:03.920 to this class. It's fun for me. Yeah. Like that's it. Like I don't need to have like I want to have

00:51:08.380 this triceps and this like I don't I don't I don't care. I love my soft body. I don't want to be a rock

00:51:15.480 like yeah I like I like the way that I look already. Yeah. Same. I don't have like things that I want to

00:51:20.640 change. Yeah. I just I want to feel strong. I want to feel like I can deadlift like yeah 600 pounds.

00:51:26.620 Yeah. I can't. But I will. I will get there. Yeah. And you know like I feel it feels cool. Like I feel

00:51:33.520 cool. I've talked about that like I want to feel strong. I want to feel like like I can lift really

00:51:38.940 heavy. Like my my only fitness goal I have is I want to be able to bench a plate right now like 45 on

00:51:45.060 each side. Ooh. I can't do not even close to that right now but like I want that's my fitness goal

00:51:50.120 for this year is to do that. Uh-huh. And uh whenever they ask me like oh like what's your favorite thing

00:51:55.300 to train I'm always like back because I want my back to look like a bag of ropes bitch. I want to 1.00

00:52:00.340 like when I turn around topless I want people to think it's the rock. Yeah. Like when I turn around

00:52:04.280 they're like who the hell is that and then I turn around it's me. That's what you thought. I want a back that

00:52:09.200 just looks insane from behind. I want to be like literally so muscular from the back. That's like my fitness

00:52:14.380 goal right now. I do love a sexy back. That's what I'm saying. I'm like I'm trying to have like

00:52:18.640 muscles back there. Like all the my boyfriend has them like whatever. Or that like line. Yeah. Yeah.

00:52:24.140 I just want like those I want big ass traps and I want my back just oh when I see fitness girls and 1.00

00:52:29.500 their backs are so juiced I'm like you go off bitch. Right. I love it. Muscle mommy. Muscle mommy. 1.00

00:52:35.740 That's what I'm trying to be. That's my only fitness goal. But anywho so let's get into these

00:52:41.940 comments from this uh terrible video. Okay. This first one said this is so true. People don't like

00:52:49.320 mirrors as in people that force them to reflect on the results of their own poor choices.

00:52:53.880 That's also a woman so that's a pygmy. Oh okay. Well like who are you to hold up the mirror? 1.00

00:53:02.500 Like why are you the person who needs it? You know what I'm saying? Yeah and also it's like

00:53:05.700 I mean I feel like we're in her brain so is that what you're thinking about yourself? Because

00:53:09.800 projection. Yeah. Yeah. That's what that is. I never would have people really come up with

00:53:15.880 the craziest like like narratives. Yeah. They're like conspiracies. You really sit here. They

00:53:22.280 have a notepad. Yeah. They're like I'm gonna see this tomorrow and tomorrow. Like they it's

00:53:26.380 like they want to write their jokes or something and it's not well it's not funny. Yeah. And

00:53:31.100 you're only portraying what you're thinking of like at the end of the day that's all that

00:53:35.900 it is. It's projection at its very finest. Yeah. Like just say you're insecure and go. Yeah.

00:53:40.720 If you hate yourself that's on you. Yeah. That's like that's a personal problem. That's why

00:53:46.080 yeah exactly and I always think too that's like that's literally them saying I've been conditioned

00:53:52.240 my whole life to hate myself if I am fat. Yeah. And also I refuse to change that. Yeah. And I

00:53:58.400 yeah I've been conditioned my whole life I need to hate myself if that's the case. I see someone

00:54:02.780 who is not thin loving themselves unconditionally in love successful having a wonderful amazing 0.53

00:54:09.560 fulfilled life and then I'm like that pisses me off because my life still sucks even though

00:54:14.760 I'm in shape and what's the problem. Yeah. It's you. It's like you check your personality.

00:54:21.140 I don't know. That's why I said like if you have the bod let's just let's just say for argument's

00:54:25.520 sake you're like the worst man in the world. You are violently bigoted fat phobic especially 1.00

00:54:30.000 big gym bro. Ten percent body fat. Let's just say you do have a partner like you're in love 0.99

00:54:35.880 with a woman. You're not. Yeah. You literally or like you have a great job or you have a lot 1.00

00:54:42.880 of money. Whatever. Anyways let's just say you have the you have the bod. Greek god. You

00:54:47.920 know what I mean. Let's just say you have that and you still don't have a girl and you still 0.61

00:54:52.140 don't have friends and you don't. Maybe it's you. Yeah. Absolutely. At what point do you like

00:54:57.740 maybe I suck ass. Maybe that's why people don't like. When do you look inward. Yeah I'm like oh 1.00

00:55:01.640 you're insufferable. That's why. It's your personality. Yeah. Which is far worse. Like 0.95

00:55:07.060 wouldn't you rather people be like you're ugly I don't want to hang out with you than like 0.99

00:55:09.820 it's the essence of you. It makes me want to vomit. Your whole aura is just. Yeah it's just sour. I don't 1.00

00:55:16.300 want to be around it. Yeah. Can you imagine. Pungent. Oh my gosh. Just a pungent personality like

00:55:21.600 I'm sorry. Yeah. Can't be around people like that. Yeah no. Sorry. I have a very sensitive nose.

00:55:26.740 I can't. I can't be around people like that. Sorry. Sorry I can't. Yeah this next one says

00:55:31.540 haters gonna hate the narrative of most human beings when they can't achieve something but

00:55:35.440 secretly still want it but won't put in the effort. That's the greatest conspiracy I've ever

00:55:39.840 heard. They're like no you want to look like this. No I don't. No. No but like actually. Yeah the way

00:55:48.980 they give meaning to things that have no meaning. Like they're like everybody wants. It's just

00:55:53.980 like that audio when they're like don't be silly everybody wants this. It's literally

00:55:57.760 the ones like eating one almond a day. I'm like I'm sorry. I'd much rather eat a cheeseburger.

00:56:02.520 That's why the way that they're so like convinced that everybody wants to live that same like

00:56:09.320 life fitness lifestyle that they have. Yeah. That's insane. Whatever happened to like live

00:56:14.000 and let live. Like they are so worried about us. Yeah. And we're not. Like when. I ain't worried

00:56:20.060 about you. I'm sorry but I. God. Like I would never. That. Like I would get secondhand embarrassment

00:56:26.040 even though it's myself. Yeah. To make a video about a skinny person. Yeah. Ew. First of all

00:56:30.940 why would I do that? Yeah. That's weird. That's weird. That's weird. Obsession. I would never call

00:56:34.020 someone on someone's body like that. No. And it's an obsession. At that point you're a fan. Yeah.

00:56:38.280 That's what you are. You're obsessed. You're in my DMs. Yeah. Literally. Literally. You call

00:56:43.980 me a fat bitch. You love me. Clearly. Sometimes like when I had Dylan Mulvaney on the show she 1.00

00:56:50.080 was like do you ever get men because obviously like she gets creepies like men who like violently

00:56:57.080 hate her publicly but then like they also are attracted to her and that's part of the reason

00:57:01.860 why. Yeah. And she was like do you ever get anything like that? I'm like no. It's pretty

00:57:07.440 just standard fat bitch all across the board. You know what I mean? That's pretty much 1.00

00:57:10.820 what they say to me. Nothing real different or nuanced. I don't think there's another level

00:57:15.380 to that. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think there's a hidden attraction to that.

00:57:21.000 I mean there might be but I doubt it. Like for the most of them they just hate me. But

00:57:24.760 yeah. I think it's indicative of like they always just want to comment on like your body

00:57:30.960 because they're convinced that that's going to hurt you the most. Yeah. If they like say

00:57:35.680 they don't want to f*** you you're like oh bummer. Damn. I was really banking on that 1.00

00:57:40.320 this weekend. What? I'm so sorry. What am I gonna do? I think also they don't like outspoken

00:57:45.600 women. Like you obviously. Yeah that's true. You be drilling these bitches. Like I wow. I 1.00

00:57:52.320 wish I had the comebacks you did because I well I don't have the brain power but I just they hate

00:58:00.320 that. They hate that you are so like quick-witted too and they they just they can't comprehend the

00:58:06.900 fact that this is like coming out of your mouth. Like they're like oh she has a brain. Everybody 0.78

00:58:11.000 stop. Yeah. And it doesn't the brain doesn't hold male validation literally at all. Yeah. And I've

00:58:17.140 talked about that. I know you're like this too and that's I talked about that with Chrissy

00:58:20.780 Shilpeka. Like I was like they just really hate that they can tell that we don't care what they 0.99

00:58:27.800 say. Like it just doesn't affect me literally at all. In fact it motivates me to keep going. Yeah.

00:58:33.420 That's why I think that all the time it's the same thing with you too because they like see you 0.95

00:58:37.720 living your best life and being successful and happy and they're like but I think you're ugly. 0.98

00:58:43.080 I think you're fat and then you're like okay. Yeah. Amazing. Love that. Bye. Thanks. Have a 0.99

00:58:49.140 great day. Thank you so much. See you later. Autographs tomorrow. Yeah. I'll see you again

00:58:54.760 tomorrow because you'll be back I'm sure. Yeah. Yeah. Okay so this next let's get into this next

00:58:59.720 video. This one says a model records a before and after video with the caption at a modeling job

00:59:05.600 let's see if the hairstylist can do textured hair. She records the finished hair of the white models 1.00

00:59:10.700 at the job who the stylist has styled in different ways. They all look good and are varied like flat

00:59:15.340 iron curled etc. And then she records her own hair which the stylist has just put up bunched up and

00:59:22.260 tied off. Dude. Like this hobby having flashbacks. And you know what obviously I can't really I don't

00:59:29.160 have textured hair. Yeah. So but I've seen that happen. Yeah. And I think I've seen that video

00:59:34.780 actually too. Yeah. It's so ridiculous. Like you are not qualified if you can't do a black woman's 1.00

00:59:40.860 hair you are not qualified to do hair. Truly. Like I'm sorry but like go back to school. Especially 0.98

00:59:44.180 not on a set with many different models from many different ethnic backgrounds. Right. It's like you get

00:59:48.920 the call sheet and you have a woman of color and you have a black woman and they have more textured

00:59:53.680 hair and you call yourself a hairstylist. Baby. You have to work. Yeah. Yeah. Like do your research man. Yeah.

01:00:01.420 It's also I feel like that happens a lot too with um makeup artists too. Like their ability.

01:00:08.140 Skin tones right. Undertones. Yeah. Undertones is a big thing. Yeah. And I I've had that I've had um 0.99

01:00:14.580 the makeup happen with someone before where they asked me like what my skin type was and I told them

01:00:22.260 like I'm very dry so like I need something really hydrating or else it will literally peel off like 0.96

01:00:29.040 spackle bitch. Like it will literally like scratch off like paint. Um she didn't listen to me. Not 1.00

01:00:34.300 even a little bit. She did. She did the most mattifying like drying so it peeled off and also 1.00

01:00:40.880 it didn't match me. Literally all my undertones are very like yellow warm. Yeah. She used a really

01:00:45.940 cool tone so it like made me look like a dead body. Girl. I looked muddy as hell. I was so bad.

01:00:52.500 That's happened to me before. Um like in the summer I'm super tan so they'll opt out for like

01:00:59.000 more yellowy foundations. Yeah. Warmer tones. Cool. But now it's winter. Baby I look jaundiced.

01:01:04.340 Yeah. Like I look sick. Yeah. So but my undertone is it's like a little more neutral but a little

01:01:10.100 on the warm side. Yeah. But I can do neutral for sure. Yeah. But I don't know why they still

01:01:16.680 can't get it right. And I look even sicker. And I don't know. It's a hot mess. And that's

01:01:22.000 their job. I know. Like they literally got hired for the job just like you got hired for

01:01:25.640 the job. So you would think. You would think. Yeah. And also with like um like we talked

01:01:30.300 about features. Yeah. Um my eyes. I have like hooded eyes. Yeah. But there's like a little

01:01:34.380 bit like smaller little slanty. Yeah. And they try to give me like a smoky eye and it just 1.00

01:01:39.960 looks terrible. Or they try to give me a wing that shit like hides in my lid. Yeah. And 0.99

01:01:45.480 they don't know how to do. Like that's not how my eye works. Yeah. And then the contouring.

01:01:48.960 They'll try to contour my nose. Like I have a bump like a longer nose. Yeah. Ancestors

01:01:53.920 pulling through for that one. Yeah. And yeah. Like they can't. It just won't look good

01:01:58.200 on my face. Yeah. Especially when I feel like I've gotten really good at doing my makeup

01:02:01.560 and what I like. Yeah. And I don't really. Like other than just me being on a set.

01:02:06.320 Yeah. I don't really get my makeup done that often. Yeah. And I have one makeup artist

01:02:09.460 that I really really love. Yeah. Um when I work with Princess Polly. Yeah. And I love

01:02:14.140 I love her. Like she beats my face to the gods. I love her. Um but she's the I would 1.00

01:02:19.000 say she's the only one who's like on my face. And so she happens to be Latina. And she knows

01:02:24.460 like what we go through. So it's like. So she gets it. The fact that I even have to just

01:02:29.960 have someone just that we have things in common for you to do my face right. Is y'all need

01:02:34.820 to go back to school. Truly. Go back to beautiful school please. That's literally my my hair

01:02:39.860 makeup artist is someone. So he like. He's obviously a man but he has done someone faces

01:02:46.340 countless times. Like for proms. You know weddings. Baby showers. Like everything you

01:02:52.240 could think of. And so like when I was getting ready to like hire someone for like my show

01:02:58.340 and stuff. He did my makeup for prom like back in the day. Like when I went to high school

01:03:03.180 prom. And so I was like I want to work with someone who gets my face. Like gets someone

01:03:09.500 faces. Like does them very well. And doesn't try to like hide their features. That's another

01:03:15.160 thing. I felt like the few times I have worked with other artists. Like I just feel like they

01:03:20.800 just they try to make me look like somebody else. Which is not the point. Like the point

01:03:25.820 is supposed to be. I am beautiful regardless. But you should be elevating mine the same way

01:03:30.860 you can elevate a white girl's face. Exactly. You got to do mine too. Yeah. It's like

01:03:34.020 they work with like templates. Yeah. It's like they have one way of contouring. One

01:03:38.220 way of highlighting. Exactly. One way of concealing. Whatever. And it's like that's not that's

01:03:41.880 not gonna work for the same skin tone for the same skin texture. Yeah. Same person 0.91

01:03:45.220 different features. Yeah. It's just not. Especially when it comes to like the contouring. Like

01:03:49.460 the nose, cheeks, foreheads, everything. They're very different on on very many different ethnicities.

01:03:56.140 So that's why I'm like I that's why I said the same like my hair and makeup artist is someone

01:03:59.760 too. So I think that's why he gets it. But it sucks that it has to. Sometimes it comes down

01:04:04.440 to that. Like it's somebody who just gets you. And it's a bummer. But anyway so these

01:04:09.760 comments on this video. This one says why not come with hair prepped if you know they

01:04:14.160 don't do curly hair. Aren't you a model? That's not her job. Yeah. You said it. Yeah. She's 1.00

01:04:21.260 a model. Yeah. She's the model. That's she's not meant to do anything but just sit there and 1.00

01:04:25.580 be a model. Yeah. You shouldn't. I mean I've said like when that lady tried to do my hair. 1.00

01:04:31.260 Yeah. I said to them I was like they knew it looked awful. First of all I was like you

01:04:34.880 know you're looking at me right now and it's not in a good way. I was like can I please

01:04:39.000 like after lunch can I fix my hair. And I'll do that. Yeah. But that's not our job. That's

01:04:46.300 not what you're hired. You shouldn't have had to do that. Exactly. Just like she shouldn't

01:04:49.580 have to do that either. It should just be a good job on both ends. I'm a good model.

01:04:53.920 You're a good hairstylist. Correct me if I'm wrong but don't they tell you if they want

01:04:57.880 you to come ready. Yes. Yeah. Like they'll tell me if they want a specific type of makeup 0.99

01:05:02.200 or like if I need my nails done. They send me all the info before I even get to see it.

01:05:06.800 Yeah. Or they'll tell you like come just come blank and they'll do it when you get there.

01:05:10.680 Yep. So they probably told her don't worry we have. Yeah. Because mind you like if you're

01:05:15.560 a woman of color a black woman and you've been in this industry for a long time you know

01:05:18.840 to ask ahead of time. Yeah. Like you know to ask ahead of time. Thankfully I don't have

01:05:23.000 to ask anymore because now I have a hair and makeup artist and now I have. So but

01:05:26.980 like you can ask is is the person who's there do they know how to work on people of color?

01:05:32.360 Yeah. Hello. Just a fun thought. Just before I come can I and sometimes they'll be like

01:05:38.800 yeah. Yeah. I always bring extra stuff with me now. Like even with makeup like I bring

01:05:43.340 my own makeup because I want to just zhuzh in the bathroom and they don't know. They're

01:05:47.300 like my makeup looks amazing. I'm like yeah I fixed it for the past like 13 minutes.

01:05:52.000 That's right. And that sucks. But you have to like you have to stay ready like that just 0.97

01:05:57.120 in case it goes south and it's a train wreck and then it's on you to fix it. So you have

01:06:01.620 to you're like okay. Yeah. I'm going to go I'm going to go redo my whole face. I'll be

01:06:05.080 right back. Okay. And this last comment says so you're a model you hardly get a say if you

01:06:12.700 care quit. Well that's just like a juvenile thing to write in the first place. It's kind

01:06:17.580 of like you don't like this country move away. I was like wow. Oh why didn't I think

01:06:21.960 of that? Why didn't I think of that? A lot of people will say that about models like when

01:06:26.880 we talk about these things like we complain it's still a job. Yeah. There's still things

01:06:30.140 that go wrong. There's still things that we don't completely agree with. Yeah. And we

01:06:34.320 do this job for so many different reasons. Yeah. Like you don't know why she's doing this 0.99

01:06:37.880 job. Literally. Like you don't know her reasons. Well and also like you think like the reason

01:06:43.200 why she filmed it is because she knew. Yeah. You know she had a feeling. It's an issue.

01:06:49.160 It's happened so many times. That wasn't her being like oh my god I'm like the most miserable

01:06:53.740 person in the world. Like she's literally like let's see if they know how to do it. And shock 0.99

01:06:57.300 her they didn't. So that was like the joke of it. The gag of it is that models like that 0.99

01:07:02.420 I feel like are always ready for shit like that to happen. Yeah. They're like you do have 0.99

01:07:06.300 to prepare for worse. Yeah. Like yeah. When you work with people you've never worked

01:07:10.540 with before. Yes. You're like well this could go terrible so I'm going to bring stuff just

01:07:14.540 in case. For sure. Yeah. And I mean that is kind of part of it too. Like obviously you

01:07:18.320 have to be ready for anything. Yeah. A lot of mishaps can happen on set. Yeah. And like

01:07:23.800 that's fine. It's it's always good to be ready. Yeah. You shouldn't just like come empty

01:07:28.060 handed on set. Yeah. Yeah. But also it shouldn't be your job to do everything that someone was

01:07:32.240 hired to do. Well especially when all the other girls are fine. Exactly. Yeah. All the other girls 0.97

01:07:37.560 you're like that's so great for you guys. And you know what I do too like on call sheets

01:07:41.720 like they'll put the Instagram handles for not just the models but like the hairstylist.

01:07:46.420 Yeah. I look them up. So I'm like have you done like my type of face before? Yeah. Have

01:07:50.780 you done like or have you styled my type of body before? Yeah. And if I don't see anything

01:07:55.080 I'm like okay I need a safety pin. Yeah. Or bobby pins and my hair ties. Yeah. Yeah. To bring

01:08:01.200 you know what to pack then at that point. Yeah. I feel that. Yeah. And it's just part of the

01:08:05.420 game at that at this point like like we've said before in the beginning like there has

01:08:10.600 been so much progress but there is still so much more progress to me which is it's never

01:08:17.200 a bad thing to be like aware and to be like how can I better like serve or or help you

01:08:25.040 know models who are like doing this for a living like as like a stylist a hair hair stylist or

01:08:30.640 a makeup artist like to do your research and be like you know what maybe I should brush

01:08:35.160 up a little bit on how to do texture hair or how to do. Especially if they're like a 0.64

01:08:39.180 little bit older so they grew up in you know in times where we weren't that aware. Exactly.

01:08:45.060 So yeah it's like really good to just like you know freshen up. The point is it's on you.

01:08:50.760 Yeah. Right. It's on you. If you care enough to look into it then you will. Also if you want

01:08:54.560 to be a well-versed artist in that sense like why wouldn't you want to up your skills a

01:09:00.240 little bit. Yeah. The tea of that too is that the models themselves or even any person you

01:09:05.600 work with in entertainment like they will never forget that. Exactly. If you were really good.

01:09:09.800 Like I just said like my makeup artist like the one makeup artist that I get and I love

01:09:14.640 her Nikki. She did my makeup for the Bad Bunny concert too. Oh love. And she was like welcome

01:09:19.880 to LA because she's from LA. Yeah. And it was just so nice like we talked about so many

01:09:25.500 things that we have in common and it was just so nice to you know just it was like talking

01:09:29.960 to a friend I feel like a lot of times. Yeah. When I don't have a lot in common with the makeup

01:09:34.160 artist when they don't know how to do my face. Especially when they don't know how to do it.

01:09:38.140 I'm just quiet. I'm just quiet. We don't really talk about much. But yeah like it just it shouldn't

01:09:43.220 take someone to like be the same. You know that close to me. Ethnicity as you. Yeah. To get you. 0.71

01:09:49.560 You should just know how to do your job at the end of the day. Yeah at the end of the day.

01:09:53.360 The least you can do. Yeah. The very very least. So what kind of advice would you have for

01:10:01.500 whether they're in the creator space the modeling space looking to get into either or both like

01:10:07.140 what is like some advice you may have for them like something that you want them to remember

01:10:13.040 or hold on to. Yeah. Your opinion is the only one that matters. Period. At the end of the

01:10:19.440 day. Yeah. Honestly not even your family. Sorry. Even if they're a supportive I have a supportive

01:10:26.020 family. But yeah I think if you have a goal in mind whether it comes to modeling or creating

01:10:31.760 or whatever. Yeah. Just go after it dude. Yeah. That's like it it's so easy to get in the way

01:10:37.660 of yourself. Yeah. And people say you're on your you're your own worst critic but be your best

01:10:43.180 supporter. Yeah. Just be your own fan. Yeah. Number one fan. Yeah. Period. I love that. Like I'm I'm here with

01:10:52.160 me and you're in this body forever. Yeah. Yeah. So get used to it. Yeah. But yeah just and just do

01:11:00.220 it. Don't think too hard. Don't overthink it. Yeah. The worst that can happen is maybe you're not the

01:11:05.180 next Charlie D'Amelio. But like that's fine too. You know you're your own person. Yeah. There's only

01:11:09.600 one though. That's the beauty of it. There's only one of you. And I think too especially when it comes

01:11:14.240 to the modeling industry because you know you're so representative of a lot of a lot of different

01:11:19.600 body types but also like Latino women in general like they representation is just so important in 1.00

01:11:25.360 many different aspects especially in an industry that's predicated solely was literally built from

01:11:31.260 the ground up off beauty centers like Eurocentric beauty centers. Yeah. And then you have women like 1.00

01:11:35.500 Javi who are like changing the game and changing the narrative around what it means to be a model

01:11:39.820 right. Like a model can take many different shapes and forms which is how it should be. Yeah. Because

01:11:46.420 there are many other people who look differently in the world. Like that's why I always think it's 1.00

01:11:51.240 so it's so closed minded to think that everyone should look the same. Yeah. I always say even last

01:11:57.440 night I was like a little get together like a little party and someone asked me what I did and I was

01:12:01.380 like a model. And they they're like computing. They're like reboot reset like you're a model like

01:12:06.640 they're so confused because I'm not tall. I'm not your Bella Hadid. Yeah. Yeah. I'm a model and I'm not

01:12:11.840 going to over explain. I'm not going to over explain that I'm a plus size model. I'm not going to say I'm an

01:12:15.000 influencer. I'm not going to say my life story. I'm a model and I'm a I'm gonna just leave you

01:12:19.080 with that. Yeah. And see what you can do with that information. Well you don't owe anyone a

01:12:23.400 justification. Yeah. And people sometimes I get like the shock you know thing or they're like oh

01:12:29.340 yeah you're so pretty like that makes sense. Cool. But sometimes they're very shocked. They're like

01:12:33.180 because like the idea of a model to them is so different. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. But that's not how it

01:12:38.120 should be. That mindset. And that's not the reality. No truly. Like actually literally. Yeah. Like and so
