00:00:00.000 the mormons moved on a native land and were like a penis-shaped scar someone in your 1.00

00:00:05.160 fucking family someone yeah yeah have it have fun with that have fun with that bitch 1.00

00:00:09.320 hey everyone and welcome back to another episode of the comment section show sorry me your fave 1.00

00:00:21.720 everybody knows me who cares about me on to the guest today we have the iconic the hilarious

00:00:27.000 the unbelievably intelligent reb mazel can't tell you enough how much i love you i'm only on just

00:00:36.080 to meet you i'm just i'm leaving in five minutes i'm honored well and i'm getting an episode out

00:00:40.320 of it so thank you i appreciate you i mean when millions of people online want something i want

00:00:44.380 it more i get it so i'm better than them so yep exactly i want to return the sentiment huge fan

00:00:50.640 you and i have been yep online besties for a minute absolutely we've been locked in for a while i think 0.82

00:00:55.740 we've been when we became mutuals i shit my pants i think everyone in my group chat all my gays in 0.99

00:01:00.440 dallas were like you're lying you're fucking joking like where where can you text her right now i'm 0.97

00:01:04.620 like well that's not really how it works but i remember it was like 2021 i think when you were 0.97

00:01:10.540 it was like all your videos both of our videos were like a little blurry now when you look at them

00:01:14.320 right so fucking old you look and you're like yeah you're like oh and both of our voices too i 0.95

00:01:19.140 realized we i don't know if our balls dropped through throughout this process we are let's talk about 0.98

00:01:24.200 it let's talk about it let's talk about it because when bowman was on i told bowman too i'm like

00:01:28.900 something humiliating about looking at my past ones is because since i was a journalism student and i did 0.63

00:01:33.540 broadcast journalism in my major i had a really really mean fucking professor who told me that i 0.94

00:01:40.300 should change the tenor of my voice like i should try to raise the octave of it when i'm on camera because 0.96

00:01:46.000 it's more appealing because it sounds more feminine so i was like no for sure for sure for sure when she

00:01:51.980 told me i was pissed but i was like i need to graduate and i'm taking that degree with me and

00:01:55.420 she hated me so she was like looking for reasons to not let me pass and so i was i would literally

00:02:00.660 sound like mickey mouse when i watch them back i'm like ew because that's my voice sits at a lower

00:02:06.300 register naturally so does yours yeah no it makes no sense because the i feel like almost the exact

00:02:11.560 opposite was kind of pitched to us through law school lawyering whatever is you oh you don't want to

00:02:17.080 sound like a woman the moment it comes out of a woman's mouth no one's gonna believe it all for the 0.56

00:02:20.740 same reasons which is right yeah i mean listen look and listen uh and i think my voice got deeper

00:02:27.680 just out of probably spite too because i like oh i'm sure i like making men uncomfortable and when

00:02:32.580 i'm taller and my voice is deeper that's a crazy one-two punch in a courtroom that's wild for them

00:02:38.380 to have to face right crazy town and then they're going home to a divorce and a kid who hasn't spoken

00:02:43.780 to them in two months i'm like yeah that's just the circle yeah so if i'm gonna talk like this then

00:02:48.860 i'm gonna talk like this if that makes them pissed but your voice is higher in your old ones yeah yeah 0.98

00:02:53.300 like mine i'm like this yeah that's how it sounds i hate it i'm i'm like this i'm like how the fuck 0.88

00:02:59.000 did y'all follow me this is not asmr like y'all like do an audiobook not with that no chance well i'd

00:03:07.940 love to know how you got on tiktok like what made you want to start joining start making content like

00:03:12.440 everything horrible i think kay said this in your last episode you know shitty life circumstance the 0.69

00:03:18.120 most stressed ever been in my life the most physically mentally ill and then my little sister 0.85

00:03:23.700 bullying me which you know always makes me do something she's like you need to get on tiktok 0.97

00:03:28.280 right but i remember in early days early days love um the video that i posted that was like the viral

00:03:36.500 one for lawyer related things is i was in my lawyer fit outfit whatever and i made a tiktok

00:03:42.720 and a bunch of the comment you know i have the comments were like oh my god yay you know a girl

00:03:47.980 is in law i'm like we're here oh god i'm like we've been here yeah and then a bunch of men you

00:03:52.840 know boys whoever yelling at me and i started responding to them easily i think one of them said

00:03:58.620 oh you know wouldn't it be it's it would be a travesty if you know a woman judge was the one to 1.00

00:04:03.940 decide your fate and i think i responded and said well didn't your mom decide your fate when she

00:04:09.360 decided not to abort you yeah and jury's still out on whether that was the right choice right like i

00:04:13.980 don't know based off this interaction i'm gonna lean towards no i'm gonna lean towards absolutely 0.80

00:04:18.100 not yeah and so then you know things just kept i kept posting my bullshit the same as we always do 0.81

00:04:24.100 and yeah yeah here we are and obviously been inspired by also so many other people on the platform i

00:04:30.500 think a lot of people talk about you know when you're viral you have a following or whatnot

00:04:34.760 how it started but i think what kept it going yeah honestly instead of just saying okay you i mean

00:04:41.500 there's always a point i don't know how it was for you where you were like okay if this went away

00:04:46.100 tomorrow i wouldn't really give a fuck right or like oh like sometimes you wake up and you're like 0.83

00:04:49.240 ah i don't want to do this anymore yeah um like what kept you on it right like what kept you doing it 0.96

00:04:55.680 and for me it was all of the other people on the app including you who were in their own power and in

00:05:03.200 their own individualism who were doing the damn thing no matter what it was whether it be like 1.00

00:05:08.700 shitting on men online or doing their fucking worms they're get ready with me's you know and looking 1.00

00:05:13.640 great doing it yeah uh i was like yeah like if if someone's gonna represent this culture this 1.00

00:05:20.920 profession or this sense of humor i guess i can be one of them that's fine um and hopefully

00:05:25.800 amplify the voices that matter too in this space um but yeah and also it's just fun just funny and

00:05:31.220 fun well it was very apparent to me at in the beginning other than you being a lawyer because

00:05:34.980 i didn't need to know that to know that you're fucking smart and i told k this too i love a smart 1.00

00:05:39.200 bitch oh i love a bitch who's smart and i love a bitch who's eloquent and can talk fast and 1.00

00:05:44.360 use big words that's my type of shit yeah that's my bitch and it's you that's why i think you 1.00

00:05:49.400 love k2 the same way i do because we're all twins really the three of us oh i love her down i love 0.99

00:05:55.960 that so much and you know men too it's like i love when when really cool stunning beautiful women 0.99

00:06:02.760 unassuming women just eat the fuck out of a sentence just chew on every word every vowel and 1.00

00:06:08.960 the men in the comments are misspelling the word rhetoric like they can't even fucking breathe yeah 0.99

00:06:14.440 they're just shook their favorite words yeah and or also you know they they comment and they're like 0.98

00:06:19.120 oh you know she's all beauty no brains i'm like well you've been living with neither and we

00:06:23.360 haven't we've left you you're doing okay right yeah you're still breathing you're still logging on

00:06:28.000 yeah yeah i don't yeah i don't typically get the beautiful ones what personally i don't typically

00:06:33.600 get the well sometimes i do i and they make me more mad than regular hate that was gonna be my next

00:06:39.000 question is like how has it been dealing with hate because i feel like you get similar hate to me 0.92

00:06:42.560 because we're like existing in the same neighborhood on tiktok uh kind of come across the same shit but 0.75

00:06:47.280 of yeah we from men mostly we're right and we stand on business and right yeah like i don't want to be 0.86

00:06:53.440 right all the time it's daunting they make it so easy they make it so easy and also it's like it's

00:06:59.060 like it's not that i mean it's not that hard to be this right you know i mean like you can just read 0.97

00:07:03.640 a fucking like read a book open google one like dead ass i did one of my first like i would say like 0.98

00:07:10.940 when i was building it like and i was doing videos like every fucking day there was always like 0.99

00:07:14.700 someone new to pick on uh man miss it sometimes yeah and then tiktok was like you can't bully 0.62

00:07:20.440 people anymore yeah yeah like the straight alt-right oh yeah then they snared me because they gave me

00:07:26.760 that blue check mark and then they were like actually you're not allowed to do this anymore 0.65

00:07:29.900 and i was like well fuck perfect yeah what am i you guys clip my wings now what am i supposed to do 0.91

00:07:33.940 yep um there was a guy that the you know they love circulating pseudoscience as if it's fact and 0.99

00:07:39.280 then they talk about like pair bonding and then i was like do you guys know we're pair bonding like 0.99

00:07:43.640 does anyone know where that comes from because i me thinks no yeah uh it comes from fucking birds 0.99

00:07:49.040 so like yeah bird brains and human brains different because their whole thing was that women shouldn't 1.00

00:07:55.680 sleep with more people because their pair bonding skills get damaged well good news she's not a bird

00:08:01.120 yeah we didn't worry about that great news and what's crazy too is that the pair bonding

00:08:04.840 psychology in birds that they noticed was that female birds would link up with ones that would 0.92

00:08:11.040 carry on their strongest like genetics so like and you are the fourth and you're not getting picked

00:08:16.940 in that world either in that in the world of birds you're also getting left behind you're not

00:08:20.880 even employee of the month at gamestop that's crazy people are getting picked over you for that

00:08:25.240 yeah if you were a bird you'd be ignored please you'd be ignored so how has it how has it been

00:08:32.060 because you're obviously you're a working woman too yep so how has it been when you started growing

00:08:37.020 your like platform online how was that kind of melding with your professional world yeah i mean

00:08:41.960 it i've kept it super separate which is good which yeah and i've taken strides to do that which i think

00:08:48.360 that people do have this idea that oh if you're gonna be or hold yourself out to be a professional

00:08:53.540 online or you know your day job online then it's just you automatically need to cross those worlds 0.99

00:08:58.880 and do a day in the life and you know have me in your boss's office like doing a doing a fucking 0.99

00:09:03.820 story time like that no like i don't do that i don't have anyone in my videos for a reason i don't 0.94

00:09:08.700 want people to connect where i work or who i work with whatever and with the cases that i'm on

00:09:13.280 and i got an a in ethics bitch i know how this lawyer started to go i'm there like well isn't this 1.00

00:09:18.180 privilege isn't this confident whatever i'm like y'all are morons no uh first of all y'all are dumb 0.99

00:09:23.320 as hell yeah um media literacy is gone exactly and gone and so it's been great because it didn't 0.99

00:09:31.500 i've never been recognized by a judge that has been hearing my case or like lawyers across that

00:09:38.840 like opposing counsel before um maybe one time potentially when it was a younger girl who kind

00:09:44.500 of looked at me weird and then just didn't say anything and i don't think they would have yeah but

00:09:49.280 a lot of people in my office i mean one of my first days oh god i almost i almost peed my pants

00:09:53.280 my first days at one of my new firms i get you know i'm literally being set up like quite literally

00:09:58.060 like sitting down at my desk and shit and they're like press this number and this is your phone and 0.86

00:10:02.200 it has your name on it and whatever and i immediately get a phone call in my office i'm like okay this is 0.98

00:10:08.300 weird and i answer and it's one of the partners like the big named on the fucking nameplate partners 0.98

00:10:13.680 down the hall and he goes is this red mazel and i immediately was like oh we're fucked i was like 0.97

00:10:18.920 we're not i was like packing my shit up i'm throwing i'm scooping well i thank you all for 0.99

00:10:23.140 the opportunity oh i'm scooping shit into a bag i'm like well i'm taking the free souvenirs fuck that 0.97

00:10:27.800 and he he i mean and i said yes and immediately hung up the phone i hear silly pounding steps because 0.99

00:10:35.380 he's bigger right he's a bigger man pounding steps like flipped around into my office and goes 0.96

00:10:41.240 you need to show me how to set up this fucking ring light and i'm like perfect you're like king 0.99

00:10:46.560 let me help you go into his office we're setting up his ring light he's like how do we we need to 0.98

00:10:50.960 get this you know we put the firm on the map etc etc and i'm just like okay jesus christ so yeah so

00:10:56.240 people assume that i walk into a firm and everyone doesn't take me serious i'm like you would be

00:11:00.080 shocked the number of clowns that are in this field great ones and bad ones i mean you first thing i 0.97

00:11:05.900 learned when i went into this field is 80 of us are really dumb which is fine but you know someone's 0.97

00:11:11.800 got which is probably the case for most professions exactly quite honest with you i was thinking about 0.82

00:11:15.780 the other day i was like you never walk into a doctor's office and go you know what rank were

00:11:20.820 you at in your college in your med school no you just kind of trust yeah you just say well they're

00:11:25.960 a doctor yeah and so now every time my mom will try to be like setting me up with people well he's

00:11:30.440 he's a lawyer i'm like oh i'm like okay let me see his transcript like let me see what grade he

00:11:35.460 got in fucking civ pro like i'm kidding where does he work you know what i mean like oh he's like oh 0.99

00:11:41.220 yeah i'm so curious did you always want to be a lawyer no are you just argumentative because that 0.96

00:11:46.420 was why i thought i wanted to be a lawyer see yeah i know i didn't know what i wanted to do i just

00:11:51.760 liked school i was good at school and i liked school and i liked i loved being right god me too

00:11:57.140 god you're so me right yeah you're so me um yeah no i i just love doing that and so i you know i 0.94

00:12:06.240 just wanted to have fun in college went to uc santa barbara go gauchos love that damn school 0.97

00:12:10.620 um i shotgunned a lot of beers on a lot of decks um didn't really go to class much my g i'm my gpa 0.96

00:12:17.060 was not that great and i came on i went up i studied abroad you know and then never stopped

00:12:22.100 talking about it for the next 10 years yeah you have to that's your culture uh-huh yeah that's my

00:12:25.840 culture um and then yeah i came home i quite literally got home and it was the start of my

00:12:30.380 senior year of of college and my roommate talia came home with lsat books and i was like oh i

00:12:35.960 should probably think about thinking about my career and shit i was thinking i was just gonna 0.63

00:12:39.760 keep going to school yeah i mean i was gonna like go to grad school whatever get my master's in history 0.93

00:12:44.120 or some shit and i she said yeah you should just take the lsat so i did and it worked out i got a 0.78

00:12:48.840 scholarship based on the lsat score because that gpa i was not i need to okay look at you so yeah that's how 0.69

00:12:55.240 it worked out and i don't have family who are lawyers i don't have any like legal background

00:13:01.240 other than that before law school and everyone around you is well my dad you know best plaintiff's

00:13:07.080 attorney in the in la county oh well i've worked at a firm for 10 years that's also nepotism right

00:13:11.920 exactly oh exactly i'm happy for you oh yeah yeah amazing perfect like congratulations congratulations 1.00

00:13:17.460 you still dress like shit like you still that suit still doesn't fit your fucking shoulders like 0.99

00:13:21.740 be fucking serious listening to people chirp about how they have a better chance of doing 1.00

00:13:26.240 better in law school because they you know have all this stuff and then you get to law school and 0.98

00:13:29.980 you they tell you oh it's anonymous grading first of all and 100 of your grade is the final and it's

00:13:36.020 like four hours and it's half multiple choice half essay uh and that's that's it and you're curved

00:13:40.900 you're curved against everyone in your class uh good fucking luck only 10 people are allowed to get 0.95

00:13:46.520 a's and i started getting a's and all the people who were loud as hell started getting real quiet 0.97

00:13:50.760 by the end of the year so yeah so if you want to go to law school and you don't have any legal

00:13:54.820 background you can still do it and be fine and be my god yeah really good at it do you feel like

00:14:00.300 you found your calling being a lawyer yes i'd love that definitely i think that's incredible

00:14:04.080 yours hell yeah yeah yeah you know what's funny is like when i was in college i thought about doing

00:14:10.580 law but more specifically entertainment law like i was like i feel like i could really get in there

00:14:14.940 more specifically because i was thinking and we have this in common too our dads used to play

00:14:19.180 sports professionally yeah my dad was an nfl player for a minute and yours was an nba player

00:14:23.580 yeah which is why you're also a tall queen like me yep i love that yeah definitely i mean right now

00:14:28.320 reb's taller than me which is rare and we both have huge shoes on so there's that but right now her

00:14:32.700 shoes are higher than mine so she's taller than me which is crazy yep i love that i love it i know 0.97

00:14:36.800 we're both gonna be fucked with our feet in like 10 20 years like on on i'm god people be like oh my 0.99

00:14:42.820 god you're wearing four inch heels in court i'm like i need to be intimidating and i know i love 0.98

00:14:46.820 being tall i love it so much i love it i used to hate it when i was younger but that was my

00:14:51.000 internalized misogyny and then once i let that go i was like i love being tall so now i always wear

00:14:55.700 platforms or heels always always yeah but i just know shit's gonna get real crazy but thank god i'm 0.77

00:15:01.740 like i'm look i'm not a foot model like i'm not selling you know i'm not showing my feet for free

00:15:05.120 on the ground so i figure i'll be fine whatever but we have uh such similar origin stories but i think i

00:15:12.180 went into i was thinking about entertainment law because my dad kind of got dicked on his deals

00:15:16.960 and so i was thinking i was like i'd love to be a a lawyer for athletes who are like fighting for

00:15:22.880 the athlete as opposed to like for the organization yeah so that's kind of kind of what i entertained

00:15:27.320 and i also love school yes wait what sign are you a sagittarius okay violently sad yeah i'm a sag rising

00:15:34.460 okay and both my mom and sister are both stages i have fire women all in my life love that love that 1.00

00:15:39.280 for us but i think once i found out i was like oh wait journalism gets me more attention yep i'm

00:15:46.600 gonna do that absolutely absolutely what gets me looked at the most being on camera i'm gonna do

00:15:51.860 that 100 but i still went into sports because i felt like you know i think looking back i'm like

00:15:57.600 oh i could redeem my dad and like still make a name for us turns out they don't want either of us

00:16:01.540 there they said hey get the hell out of here both of your yeah they said what's your last name 0.90

00:16:06.280 fired yeah bitch man no that's when i got fired my dad was like man they really don't want us in 1.00

00:16:12.400 there yeah at all and fired generational generational hate that's what we like to call that sometimes i 0.99

00:16:19.320 think when bad shit happens to me like that where i'm like that's just weird you know for something 0.67

00:16:23.740 bad like that to happen twice you have a mormon side of your family and i have a mormon side of my 0.96

00:16:28.260 family i'm not mormon she's i'm like don't like don't all freak out on me like whatever but i think 0.99

00:16:32.880 you know listen native american curses i believe in that shit and they had every right and every 0.99

00:16:37.120 reason i've seen holes bitch all right she listen like they curse and it and it stays it stays and i 1.00

00:16:42.720 know for a fact that every time anytime i get a flat tire anytime you know something happens to me 0.87

00:16:47.740 that happened to my mother like a month before i'm like you know what this is just what this is what

00:16:51.960 we're owed this is the karma that we were given 150 years ago when we were not in our own business 0.73

00:16:58.040 in the fucking american west right and that's fair so the nfl was was telling you basically listen girl 0.95

00:17:04.200 this is the worst that could happen yeah they were saying you want to be a part of this 0.99

00:17:08.000 this gentrifying system just kidding yeah yeah no for real yeah you're gonna be rich and famous get 0.99

00:17:12.840 the fuck out though yeah we're gonna cry right now we're gonna make you cry i've said before like i 0.97

00:17:17.220 think i always believe like my that's my ancestors when i'm not listening they got to do something 0.99

00:17:21.580 crazy yeah so like and because i'm someone who loves school i loved like being the best at things

00:17:27.280 that's like when people ask me like how did you get past this like male validation thing my validation

00:17:31.940 has never come from men it's almost always come from me being better than anyone at anything

00:17:51.720 shit was not that shit was serious i know there are certain things that my family's not allowed 0.90

00:17:55.680 to do together anymore like we're not allowed to go-kart together anymore everyone's banned 0.99

00:17:59.720 because my mom almost killed me my mom literally almost killed me and when we go-karted one time 0.84

00:18:03.640 one time we went as a family one fucking time my mom almost killed me my brother cried and then 0.97

00:18:09.560 i lost three acrylics that day and then my dad was like you won no one's go-karting anymore 0.97

00:18:14.240 you're telling me you're one no one's we're we're banned from go-karting i have to i banned dodgeball

00:18:40.140 company dodgeball game he like slid he slid home a little too fucking hard and i and i'm like 0.98

00:18:47.500 i heard i was like oh where'd you go you know because of course i see that fat fucking scar 0.99

00:18:52.200 you know and i'm thinking oh you know here's the story of like i would have gone pro type shit and 0.98

00:18:55.880 then we were still in that stage where i was like side you know he's still proving himself out of 0.98

00:18:59.380 prison i was like yeah oh so what's your what's the equals he was like no i went too fucking hard and 0.94

00:19:04.340 then i drank white claws for about an hour and a half after just sitting there by the cooler and he

00:19:09.220 had to carry me to my car and i went to the hospital like well so i'm like oh that's embarrassing as 0.75

00:19:13.100 fuck he's like yeah super embarrassing that's like really humiliating yeah no it's horrifying at a 0.82

00:19:17.360 company dodgeball game and i know a guy i mean and law firms too we i mean people are like you know 0.99

00:19:24.540 law firms you imagine everyone's super which they are but people what you imagine right is like you know

00:19:30.780 a bunch of white dudes in a room in suits jerking each other off which is super fair like that does 1.00

00:19:36.560 for sure happen right that's part of it but but i mean people work hard lawyer being lawyer is working 0.97

00:19:42.940 hard and playing so much fucking harder like we had every single firm i've ever worked at keg in the 0.94

00:19:47.500 conference room multiple kegs rotating tap we'd get an email every monday this week it's an ipa this 0.98

00:19:53.180 week it's spaced i can only imagine these are the notes oh yeah but also people i mean alcoholists

00:19:58.700 like alcoholism like you know i remember i remember the first day of our law school orientation

00:20:03.860 they you know we're like yay congrats everyone you've made it right they're like yeah no look

00:20:09.220 how smart all of you are we're so happy you're here here's a big slideshow like you guys literally 0.99

00:20:13.920 are the shit you're like the top whatever percent of the world you're better than everyone 0.99

00:20:17.400 next slide you know what you're also number one at alcoholism divorce drug addiction abuse anxiety 1.00

00:20:22.940 just listing all suicide like listing all the things that happen to lawyers because it's a super hard

00:20:27.520 job and then slide after that was so we have therapy dogs oh i was like oh perfect yeah that'll

00:20:32.280 fix that sandwich it yeah that'll do it but you know um one of the so basically we have happy hours 0.98

00:20:37.480 like three times a week i'm like i'm like i can't fucking do this shit i can't i have never i faked 0.98

00:20:42.160 more shots at legal events lawyer events than i did in college and that's a fact i'm throwing shit into 0.99

00:20:47.420 planners with like old white men who were like let's take tequila shots and one guy at our softball 0.98

00:20:53.180 it was like it's supposed to be like a friendly like fundraiser softball thing on a sunday broke 0.99

00:20:57.060 his entire leg when i tell you broke his fucking femur you know how hard it is to break your femur 0.99

00:21:02.000 yeah that's the biggest fucking hard yeah really fucking unless you're with me yeah i got a bigger 1.00

00:21:06.580 bum yep listen really fucking hard that's why you're a lawyer and i do this and you do this and 0.99

00:21:13.660 it works out fucking perfectly there you go okay if i need someone curb stomped i'm bringing my shoe 0.99

00:21:19.000 in your leg that's all i'm talking like listen we'll get the job done that's crazy a broken leg 0.98

00:21:23.440 yeah broken leg and he was literally like softball and it was a softball game and he lost which i'm

00:21:27.740 like come on you know what i mean if you're gonna go down swinging at least zeros across the board

00:21:32.240 then good things and then your man tore his mcl mcl whichever that i didn't really listen yeah i have to 0.98

00:21:38.540 give a fuck and he knows this yeah there's like yeah i've i've torn my acl mcl and my pcl and my 0.99

00:21:45.400 meniscus i tore all of them in half when i was in high school because i was an athlete in high school 0.99

00:21:48.800 um and then unlike many of the men in your comments right exactly uh yeah so i tore everything

00:21:54.640 and then i had to get surgery for it and now i have a scar on my knee or i have a few but the one i do 0.99

00:22:00.440 have in the shape of a penis can you believe that wow in the shape of a penis and the texture of a 0.99

00:22:06.440 penis again generational curse shit right i'm telling you don't know what i did to deserve that listen 1.00

00:22:11.180 the mormons moved on a native land and were like penis shaped scar someone in your fucking family 1.00

00:22:17.120 yeah yeah have it have fun with that have fun with that bitch so how does how does your man feel 1.00

00:22:24.080 about your presence on tiktok i get that question all the time i know right big crazy that man and 0.99

00:22:29.340 that's the thing too is i'm like y'all are over here i'm the amount of dms that i have from men all the 0.91

00:22:35.800 time right who would do anything to suck my toe yeah are still in the same vein being like well how could 0.68

00:22:42.920 that man ever be okay with like your president lent it i'm like yeah no there are men out there who 0.99

00:22:47.120 are stable and normal and who literally are my biggest fucking he is my biggest fucking fan and 0.98

00:22:52.220 that's saying a lot because some of my fans are fucking insane right he will tell me things i said 0.99

00:22:57.180 in a video or on a podcast that i'm like i don't even remember that shit and he's over here quoting 0.97

00:23:01.340 it to people he's sending people links he's so yeah he couldn't be more jazzed about the i saw your

00:23:07.380 video about the what was it he made me a connection yeah yeah because he has to yeah and everyone so

00:23:12.820 sweet he has to go into a uh like a skiff seif like uh you know like a high security like basically

00:23:18.520 like a black box you can't even bring airpods into those like it's very um tight yeah yeah so you can't

00:23:24.240 have your phone in there anything and so you can't text me during the day at work so he would email me

00:23:28.660 like connections games that he made and everyone immediately was like so you're dating a cop i'm 0.65

00:23:33.080 like have you met me i'm like in what fucking universe i'm like a cop baby no like absolutely 0.98

00:23:38.680 not i'm sorry smart enough to do that not smart enough to do that and also also also the idea that 0.89

00:23:43.260 a cop wouldn't be allowed to be on the phone baby what if they couldn't be on their phone who's 0.98

00:23:46.980 going to be texting nurses and playing fucking playing fucking wordle or whatever the fuck all day 1.00

00:23:51.460 like no those men are on their fucking phone grabbing their vest not doing anything yeah pulling up to 1.00

00:23:55.980 yeah taking four hours to pull up to a burglary to say i don't know what to tell you like fucking 0.99

00:24:01.140 be serious he's not a fucking cops aren't smart enough to make those no no no no come on now 0.99

00:24:06.200 relax calm down we fucking lax yeah they're too busy getting all c's in high school no that's truly 0.99

00:24:11.500 that's the reason why i asked too is because that's such a thoughtful sweet thing and like anytime 0.97

00:24:18.040 women like us talk about having male partners who who do thoughtful things it's always like a

00:24:24.400 a game of assumptions after that it's like well it's probably because well it's probably just to 0.99

00:24:29.340 like undermine it because it makes them feel some type of way so i was curious i figured you get shit 0.89

00:24:33.640 like that too oh yeah that's why i never i mean that's the first time that i'd ever even commented 0.96

00:24:38.700 about your relationship yeah relationships because i've dated i mean i have stories yeah i have stories

00:24:44.220 i've dated men through this whole tiktok you know for the last like five years whatever

00:24:49.200 who i could and i know every day they wake up in a cold fucking sweat thinking this is the day 0.96

00:24:54.940 she's gonna drop a part 50 part series yeah shit right i've dated i dated like a semi-famous 0.98

00:25:00.840 currently unemployed because we love that actor um who was not talented at all but god he was rich 0.92

00:25:07.520 listen i was like a talent right right man did he have money uh man man was his dad for something 0.99

00:25:14.640 yeah man did his dad die right yeah really you really nailed that one you hit that shit so hard 0.99

00:25:21.200 nice work um and he yeah and i he did crazy shit to me whatever and i you go through my tiktok 0.98

00:25:26.840 during that time never would have known and i want to keep i like to keep it that way because

00:25:30.980 people again they are get so loud about everything yeah nothing about but it is nice when

00:25:37.440 you share little things like that like oh no they just unconditionally are obsessed with me or

00:25:43.160 you right no they just know how how to do this and no they're not trying to get anything out of me

00:25:48.260 they simply want me to be happy yeah imagine that imagine that yeah it's crazy how that works

00:25:54.640 crazy how that works especially because you don't um your content isn't centered on relationships or

00:26:00.040 even really your personal life at all so like i feel like that's another thing when they're like

00:26:04.320 what because i love when they in the beginning i would love when they would write things like

00:26:09.400 oh well that's right you're a single because then i'm like i'm gonna clock five million views off

00:26:13.360 this thank you team thank you appreciate it that's the thing too is what pisses me off is the fact

00:26:17.440 that my block list looks like the january 6 attendance sheet yeah because after a while right after a

00:26:23.500 while they stopped coming in like i don't get hate comments really anymore and i miss them i miss

00:26:28.380 something a lot because i'm like man come back i want y'all to pull up because it was kind of fun

00:26:32.200 we made such a great team right i never yeah i'm like we made such a routine and i also i tell people

00:26:36.640 to say i'm like i to this day i have not read a comment that has actually got like that has really

00:26:40.720 gotten to me all of it is like i've heard worse things from better men always right right um and 0.99

00:26:45.760 i'm a lawyer you don't think i've heard this shit from my own fucking client like you don't think 0.99

00:26:49.020 that i've heard the crazy shit exactly and i so i always am hoping to be proven wrong one day 0.99

00:26:53.460 like to open up a comment go you know what they got me guys yeah it got me girl yeah i i've only 0.90

00:26:58.560 said the one that i've gotten and it was a random barb stan account on twitter so i know it wasn't a

00:27:04.660 straight man i'll tell you that right fucking now i know that for a fact that i wasn't a straight man 0.97

00:27:08.360 but no yeah if you ever get roasted you do like only straight men are allowed to roast me and it 0.99

00:27:13.040 won't be funny if it were the gays i'd be like okay here are tissues babe you're gonna get shit on 0.99

00:27:17.200 you're gonna be fucked well my thing too is like even that when i told that story 1.00

00:27:23.360 i've told that story on interviews and stuff and like those clips have gone viral on tiktok so now 0.99

00:27:27.840 when some new dude finds me and he they start referencing the insult i told everyone about 0.99

00:27:34.200 i'm like you're taking shit from me too and and also taking shit from probably a gay person like 0.99

00:27:38.660 everything even i said you just can't do anything without me you can't even just can't do anything 0.99

00:27:42.540 you can't even think of i'm not even kidding two days ago i got tagged in a like an edit of me

00:27:48.720 with caleb heron on my show the first time he was on my show and it was like an edit of us being

00:27:54.260 funny but i was telling him about being called the pot of greed thing and then they were just like

00:27:58.760 photoshopping it over my face whenever i said pot of greed yeah oh my god the comments acting like

00:28:04.640 that was the funniest thing they've ever seen in their lives i'm like you and there it's all an 0.99

00:28:08.780 it's always crazy how it's such an echo chamber because most of those people who think that shit is 0.93

00:28:13.360 funny after it's like no i was making fun of myself you didn't yeah yeah you're not in on the 0.99

00:28:17.220 joke with assholes and the person who told the joke is probably like give me a yeah give me a cut of 0.99

00:28:21.320 that revenue the fuck like are you joking for real um but it's like they're all all of you are samples 1.00

00:28:25.920 like all of you are just copies of one another screaming at one another and i've heard and also 0.99

00:28:32.220 like in the comment section not a single drag that's funny after that on top of that it was it's

00:28:36.420 just nope the one drag that you stole from me that i told you about none of you can come up with 0.85

00:28:40.860 anything better yeah you're just circle jerking and yeah just circle jerking in here and i'm like 0.91

00:28:44.700 i've i've heard literally better roasts from a 12 year old girl in fourth grade like running a 0.99

00:28:50.240 fucking clay volcano project you know what i mean like they could probably drag me harder yeah young 0.99

00:28:55.740 women are mean as fuck dude like it's it's also too like i've been dragged worse by my friends like 1.00

00:29:00.920 people who love me yes people who actually love me have been meaner to me than that yeah um which is 1.00

00:29:06.380 crazy my husband ethan and i said something rude i think like time we were out or something and he

00:29:10.440 looked at me looked down slowly and said bold thing to say in an open toe shoe you're like oh 1.00

00:29:17.240 fuck okay well first of all fuck you okay fuck i'm like the sharpie on my big toe like that i'm trying 1.00

00:29:23.040 to fill in right because i didn't get a pedicure that wasn't enough for you he's like he's like yeah 1.00

00:29:27.180 i can tell yeah you know what's funny is i i'm branching into acting and stuff now and as you said

00:29:34.200 i was talking to my hair and makeup artist who's also my cousin adam and i was like it was uh we

00:29:41.000 were glamming and i was telling him about something i was working on and i was like you know what i

00:29:44.720 was thinking of though i was like what if i have to do like kissing scenes something about that is

00:29:49.000 giving me hives i don't know what it is but like acting and pretending to be in love with someone 0.98

00:29:52.940 well like i'll do it for money too but like fuck you know what i mean and i will do it i'm just having 0.98

00:29:59.800 a hard time imagining myself doing it because men make me sick to my stomach so that's why i'm like 0.99

00:30:04.520 oh hold on touch oh man touch me oh yes i'm like waking up in a cold sweat and i'm telling him i'm

00:30:09.020 like what am i even gonna do like i'm having this irrelevant conversation that has not it's not based

00:30:12.600 in reality at all it's truly an irrelevant fear and then he interrupted me after i was rambling for

00:30:17.760 like 20 minutes and then he goes okay first of all it's like 4 a.m so calm down and second of all

00:30:22.760 you're not getting any rolls right now so i don't know what you're worried about and i said oh right 0.99

00:30:27.960 right right right okay i'll i'll shut the fuck up yeah i'll shut the fuck up no that's a valid 0.99

00:30:34.160 and he loves me yeah that's my friend that's my brother yeah that's like i'm honestly i'm praying 1.00

00:30:40.080 for you in the event that happens that it's a role where you can kiss a girl like how easy would that 0.99

00:30:45.120 be right fucking easy that's what i was like or make me a villain or make you a villain make me make 0.97

00:30:49.420 me a villain maybe make me fucking thanos in the next marvel series i mean you have to talk to enough 0.99

00:30:53.040 bitchless bums online you could probably emulate one too make me someone make me evil make me like 1.00

00:30:58.100 a loki like like an evil like that you end up loving eventually exactly i think that's in the 0.99

00:31:03.120 stars for me yes what about what's in the stars for you oh you're coming out with a book yes i'm

00:31:08.020 coming out with a book can you please tell us about it yeah it's going to be called uh the book they

00:31:12.060 throw at you um which is essentially me a sarcastic lawyer's guide to the unholy chaos of the legal

00:31:18.580 field which is basically um you know i want to i almost i want to say it's like chicken soup for

00:31:24.780 the soul but but like not like that no that's it's not gonna help it's not gonna really make

00:31:29.240 you feel well it's gonna make you laugh that's for fucking sure but it's also gonna just in a 0.91

00:31:32.960 combination of just teaching you just the baseline of what i think every k through 12 kids should 0.88

00:31:38.700 know about their miranda rights and and um what and interacting with police and all that and also

00:31:43.820 just just the craziness that is the legal field and the funny stories that i exactly what i tell

00:31:48.840 on like my podcast or on my tiktok and crazy cases but it's kind of all lumped together in sections that

00:31:54.800 make sense you know like the same as chicken soup for the soul how it's like there's a section on

00:31:58.500 death and it's like all these great inspirational stories it's the same thing it's there's a section

00:32:01.920 on death except it's about you know a farmer who had a had a tractor run over him and then he wrote

00:32:08.180 in blood his will on the side that said all to my wife love cecil if he wanted to he would

00:32:12.660 um and how that was a valid will they like ripped the fender off and like went and put it into court

00:32:18.060 and they were like yeah valid will um another like some some some anecdotes about being a woman in the

00:32:23.200 in this field and how it is navigating that and the types of harassment yeah that i that we've had

00:32:28.900 to deal with um but yeah so overall it's funny and uh the court transcripts are in there which is

00:32:35.500 great the funny ones yeah they love that series for me i know they love that one and it's probably like

00:32:40.740 what you were saying earlier which is it's shocking to hear how people really are like it's almost

00:32:45.980 people's rawest versions of themselves yeah courtroom and people think i mean i understand why because i

00:32:51.400 didn't really know any of this either before i got into the field but i'm like no like regular people

00:32:56.020 are in the law more than like those stuck-up lawyers who do you think we represent yeah who do

00:33:01.400 you think's following all these lawsuits who do you think is you know being accused of these crimes 0.99

00:33:05.160 whatever like of course people are gonna say the most the craziest shit craziest shit in court and 0.99

00:33:10.100 of course the craziest shit's gonna fucking happen yeah like i mean people what's like a crazy case 0.99

00:33:14.300 that you've experienced or been on i'm like i mean do you have four hours like every day i encounter 0.99

00:33:20.000 someone i mean there was a case where um a woman a girl i mean she was in her 20s but she god i

00:33:27.960 loki kind of loved her yeah she grave robbed her own mother to prove a point nice which i can respect

00:33:35.560 in in certain ways right and i was at the point where i was like this vengeance goes past it exactly

00:33:40.780 she was like no the ring that i was supposed to get in the will is the one that looked like mom's 0.99

00:33:45.240 and mom's was buried with hers and we never got a photo of it and no one fucking believes me 0.96

00:33:48.860 everyone's gaslighting me about what this fucking ring looks like so when she pulled up with it in court 0.99

00:33:52.700 we were like where'd you get that exact replica where did you get that actually she was like i 0.99

00:34:00.260 just got it right what do you want and then we found out you know yeah no she she grave robbed 1.00

00:34:05.160 the fuck out of her mom which you know what if her mom raised her to be petty i would if that were 1.00

00:34:10.420 me if i was the mom i'd be like you know what yeah you did you you weren't out of that fucking 1.00

00:34:13.860 you know what you earned it yeah you fucking earned it you fucking earned it you take that shit golem 1.00

00:34:18.540 you know what i mean that is yours you keep you keep that queen you earned it you keep it how was 1.00

00:34:23.820 the book writing process for you like how did you oh god i mean how was yours it was interesting it was

00:34:30.920 very different and then it was tedious most times yeah it's just a lot of back and forth yeah and yeah

00:34:36.940 i i mean it's good it's a lot of it a lot of research because a lot of things i mean listen i don't

00:34:43.340 talk about things i kind of as a rule that i don't really think i created in my head to stand

00:34:49.260 on some moral high ground because maybe i'll go low right i'll go lower than you that's for sure

00:34:53.100 um but as a lawyer just like ingrained and taught like yeah you don't make an argument you can't

00:34:58.460 back up with something like you don't have you don't state a conclusion you don't you don't state

00:35:02.040 an opinion unless you have something to back it up or else you don't have an opinion at all yeah and

00:35:05.940 so you know when i talk about something online i know what i'm talking i know what i'm fucking 0.97

00:35:09.880 talking about yeah yeah uh and in the book i you know i have the same i hold myself to the same

00:35:14.900 principle and so when i'm talking about going really in depth into all these cases craziest

00:35:20.040 fucking cases uh i want to be right and i want to be on it uh and so that's it's just hours on hours 0.88

00:35:26.560 of me having to research and stuff it's like 3 a.m nights honestly yeah all these people are like 0.98

00:35:31.600 how did you have time to write a book how do you handle it i'm like i don't i'm ill i'm physically

00:35:34.980 ill i pounded too much you said i'll let you know when i come on the out on the other side i'll let

00:35:38.960 you know yeah and when i start aging one day like milk and right now not so much but look at

00:35:44.820 the color of my skin one day like one day it's gonna hit all i'll go south what about uh your

00:35:50.240 podcast i know it's in the same vein that too yeah uh rebuttal podcast because my name's rev

00:35:55.800 me is a little cute uh and it's the same it's honestly like the same kind of not the same kind

00:36:00.260 of thing as the book but the book very much is if you like my podcast you'll love the book uh where

00:36:04.980 each episode i talk about a case or a legal concept or a situation that i think deserves

00:36:10.720 people's attention because it's just fucking crazy or hilarious or whatever and i listened to true 0.78

00:36:16.000 crime podcasts before it's like i've heard about jeffrey dahmer a hundred times i've heard about

00:36:20.900 the same cases a hundred times and yeah they're super interesting but like the murder cases are the 0.98

00:36:25.580 least interesting in the law everyone knows that the family law cases are where shit gets fucking crazy 0.85

00:36:30.200 i i follow a family law lawyer in australia fadon love her um i'm obsessed with her she doesn't know

00:36:37.240 who i am i just she's just my new thing me with k yeah love her love her love her um but she she does 0.94

00:36:43.840 family law so she tells cases sometimes they are nuts they're and their laws different obviously but

00:36:48.940 like they're crazy crazy because two the two most dangerous areas of law are property law and family law

00:36:54.780 like family lawyers get jumped they get like attempted like tried to kill and also the things

00:36:59.820 that go on in them are crazy like you find out like you find out that like a husband and wife are 0.94

00:37:05.340 related yeah during a paternity test like when shit like that starts happening it's crazy then people 0.85

00:37:10.400 start it's like a real skeleton yeah it's real like you think you have skeletons in your closet right 0.86

00:37:15.420 murdered somebody i wish it were that simple like oh my god family lawyer clients are like oh you killed 0.74

00:37:20.760 who thank god is it just that oh my god god bless you know what i mean thank god you're not inbred 0.84

00:37:26.140 for the last three generations and now we've got to figure out the custody of your cat yeah your 0.99

00:37:30.320 husband fucked the last weekend swear to god crazy as shit it's always the not always but usually the 1.00

00:37:36.680 men yeah usually the men who are doing the crazy shit usually the men who are the deadbeat fault you 1.00

00:37:41.180 know i made a joke during my podcast because i don't always pick out like family law cases sometimes 0.99

00:37:47.260 there are cases of just really a witness protection case it's just like crazy shit that happens

00:37:51.060 and through the telling of the story it's like i i just joke i'm like at this point this is the 0.98

00:37:55.880 deadbeat dad chronicles because every fucking man involved in these cases was a deadbeat dad like 0.98

00:38:00.300 you know instead of just divorcing their wife or breaking up with their girlfriend right or getting 0.99

00:38:05.140 a job because that would be too right they like fake their own death and like go into witness

00:38:09.180 protection or like become a snitch for the mob so that they can go into witness protection and bring

00:38:12.920 their girlfriend to witness protection with them right they it's easier yeah literally so much 0.51

00:38:17.940 easier to do that yeah and i'm like perfect no yeah 100 they assassinate their political opponent

00:38:23.100 in tennessee because you know their wife was on to them and knew about their girlfriend no like

00:38:28.460 the craziest yeah the craziest things i'm curious do you ever watch lawyer shows or movies and you're

00:38:34.360 like oh yeah that's crazy yeah all of it how similar is it to suits not even a little but like that's i 0.73

00:38:40.440 do i watch it for megan markle bitch like have you seen her it's entertaining it's entertaining 1.00

00:38:44.520 not accurate but i used to love watching i think it was like gq they would have a youtube series where

00:38:50.940 they would have like an expert watch movies or tv shows of people acting in their profession i loved

00:38:58.040 watching them love there was like a chef i watched like a navy seal i watched there was one where it

00:39:02.380 was like a really famous like military doctor or surgeon like something like that and he was watching

00:39:07.660 military like movies or shows where they were doing you know on scene surgeries someone got like a

00:39:13.480 bullet hole through their arm and they're like fixing it and he'd be like not even close like

00:39:16.920 i mean he'd be like okay so they would be dead on the floor like do you watch law and order svu and

00:39:20.520 you're like okay yeah i mean the copaganda i love that but like i love that but like i love that

00:39:24.980 show i grew up loving that show and you rewatch it and you go okay maybe stabler shouldn't have been

00:39:28.840 throwing people through glass walls yeah yeah him beating the shit out of people but then you think

00:39:33.360 but now what the information you have now right maybe he was the most accurate right i mean sometimes 0.77

00:39:39.480 listen maybe he was doing like what do they call it method acting right honestly but then also it's

00:39:46.740 like i'm like yeah law and rescue copaganda for you know like nypd like the cops that you are talking

00:39:52.380 to do never talk to cop don't talk to cops yeah mouth don't talk to cops they're not gonna be

00:39:55.980 stabler they're not gonna be benson they're not gonna they're not gonna care they're not gonna give a 0.75

00:39:59.120 fuck no but one thing that i don't think anyone really took from it is in during the show right 0.97

00:40:05.860 they'd always have the first suspect or some shit right and we always knew it wasn't them because it 0.99

00:40:09.720 was just too easy yeah um and they'd be questioning them whatever and they'd lawyer up and they'd be 0.91

00:40:14.320 like ah damn it well can't get them now i'm like how did you not connect that that means lawyer the 0.96

00:40:21.620 fuck up well they must be guilty no babes were they ever in jail by the end of it were they ever in 0.99

00:40:26.980 prison no it was the bitches who were you're getting you're getting pissed off literally i'm 1.00

00:40:31.140 like like for some like coming from a bitch with a big mouth shut the fuck up when you're talking 1.00

00:40:35.640 to the police oh my god i know they were like all right i guess i'll tell you i know literally 1.00

00:40:39.720 like i guess i'll confess i'll cry yeah you twist my arm in the interrogation room i'm like how often 0.99

00:40:44.240 does that happen probably not often oh people confess to their shit all the time because they 0.96

00:40:47.880 think it's not relevant i mean i've had people be like um like you know they like fail like a 0.87

00:40:52.040 drug screening or something like for probation and they're like and like yeah you didn't pass

00:40:56.740 like your drunk test it was an edible said it couldn't smoke okay it's the same right you still 0.99

00:41:02.420 have marijuana in your system well okay so now it's on the record that you'd fucking took an 0.98

00:41:07.320 edible that's why lawyers say don't tell me yeah don't if you killed someone don't tell me well no 0.99

00:41:11.980 if you kill someone tell me and no one else like tell me and no one else you're telling everyone but

00:41:16.840 that's the yeah that's the and you know what's actually interesting and people don't i guess

00:41:20.840 people don't realize with evidence rules the way they work is if a client because obviously a

00:41:27.720 trained client privilege confidentiality we are bound bound by uh you know just shutting our 0.93

00:41:34.340 fucking mouths not being able to tell anyone anything and it's a much stronger privilege than 0.82

00:41:38.420 like the therapist privilege or a doctor patient because there are certain mandatory disclosures 0.99

00:41:42.680 reporting mandatory reporting laws yeah um we don't have that we are we're mandatory not reporting 0.99

00:41:48.140 yeah you don't fucking say shit and so the way the evidence rules work out for when you have to tell 0.98

00:41:53.980 and when you don't kind of thing if a client drove me out said hey like let's take a drive 0.99

00:41:59.780 drove me out to some random location showed me a body in the ground yeah we're like look it's the

00:42:06.620 missing the missing guy on television i killed him if i don't touch it if i if they don't

00:42:12.580 give it to me like i don't hand it i don't handle it i am bound to not say a word that's crazy not

00:42:18.960 even like call a tip anything like i can't say anything and i've always thought about that's

00:42:23.560 always like the most extreme situation that's why people are like oh lawyers are going to hell and i'm 0.54

00:42:27.080 like no yeah probably but you know i mean we're trying to keep some people out of prison before

00:42:31.100 then right is you know a good thing uh we're we're the last line of defense for your constitutional

00:42:36.700 rights you know the people who are going to be fighting especially the next four years are going to be

00:42:40.040 the ones who are for sure maybe probably going to hell but they did some great stuff before then

00:42:43.520 right uh but i always think about just completely as a joke how i would react yeah like if a client 0.95

00:42:51.200 was like let's get a coffee and i was like oh my god sure and i just have my fucking gucci bag like 0.95

00:42:55.580 my stiletto heel in front of an open pit of someone and i'm just like i'm trying to play it cool 0.88

00:43:02.000 right because i don't want to be a statistic like no yeah for sure 100 maybe some febreze in the bag

00:43:08.080 like what would you like how would i like i don't know how i would act thank you for sharing it with

00:43:12.200 i don't know how it act but there are i'm holding space for this yes i'm holding space i'm holding

00:43:16.140 space for this don't worry yeah they're not defying gravity anymore anymore they're defying gravity

00:43:21.720 somewhere girl yeah it's not on this earthly plane right it's messy why didn't we use a gun babe

00:43:27.520 there's like stab wounds that's blood everywhere that's crazy yeah what would you say is your most

00:43:32.160 common piece of advice that you give people other than do not talk to cops yeah and that people

00:43:39.720 like well what if they pull you out you know what i mean when i say don't talk to cops i mean that if

00:43:43.600 a cop shows up to your house and knocks on your door you do not contend to a search you do not let

00:43:47.540 them and you do not answer questions yeah you say you have to affirmatively say you're invoking

00:43:52.940 regret to remain silent you have to affirmatively say i want a lawyer and after that then they can't

00:43:56.540 talk to you and if they talk to you then a lawyer later can get it thrown out yeah another thing is

00:44:00.560 don't go into business with your family and it is sometimes you know i mean like i'm seeing your

00:44:05.520 mom and sister in the back of the room like that you know sometimes it works out it's totally fine

00:44:08.180 yeah but like always always always family friends whatever if you get into business with people 0.99

00:44:14.780 like people show their faces and it's not that everyone's an asshole i know they're probably your 0.73

00:44:19.300 best best best friend if they are your best friend like don't maybe don't like start a 0.83

00:44:24.640 cryptocurrency like together you know maybe like deal with someone who you're not that's tea 0.97

00:44:29.020 oh yeah it's like shit nobody nobody really thinks about don't do it do not do it and it's 0.96

00:44:33.460 like the best case scenarios it works out the worst case scenario is worse like so much worse 0.99

00:44:38.380 it's always ever imagined no matter what the upside is yes like the amount of families that

00:44:42.560 have been torn apart i mean if anyone like google i did an episode on the u-haul family dynasty

00:44:47.260 the u-haul business is so wrought with tea and bullshit and murder because of just money like

00:44:55.760 they you know i mean it's just unprecedented power yeah unprecedented yeah so don't go on 0.99

00:44:59.940 to visit your family um and i mean first shut your mouth second don't go to your family third

00:45:05.340 get a prenup and fourth shut your mouth and the get a prenup if you're broke if you're a broke man 0.96

00:45:10.960 on the internet talking about gold diggers we're not we're not don't worry about you baby i'm not

00:45:15.240 talking about you you don't need that mm-hmm yep yep that's why you still get a tax return you don't

00:45:19.720 need that exactly that's tea like i do you do you offer legal advice a lot to your like to people in

00:45:26.820 your in your life your personal i mean i think i'm not allowed to right but yeah because uh unless you

00:45:33.400 have an attorney-client relationship yeah which can be created off of literally anything like a

00:45:37.840 drunk girl at a bar being like should i do this and i'd be like totally go for it she could sue me 1.00

00:45:41.360 later for malpractice so like that's why you gotta be real careful yes of course i am i mean fuck my 0.98

00:45:47.020 phone ringing all the time like from some random distant cousin i'm like hello they're like hey 0.97

00:45:52.880 so like theoretically like if you ran not saying you but like theoretically if you ran through a car

00:46:01.180 wash naked because of circumstances um and kicked off someone's like side mirror would that be one

00:46:09.540 charge or two and i'm like can you back up is this like personally right like where are you

00:46:14.940 yeah like where are you are you calling from a county jail no okay perfect like that kind of 0.94

00:46:18.420 shit where i'm like let me let me look something up really quick and get back to you but like early 1.00

00:46:24.020 that pride like that person not every practice area is in my head immediately i'm like well fuck 0.99

00:46:29.020 where are you michigan let me look it up really quick like nudity and i'm like on the same google 0.98

00:46:33.200 they are i'm like yeah you look fine you're all looks good to me yeah you'll get off well someone

00:46:37.300 will but have you been uh disillusioned by anything in like in law like how you were saying like

00:46:43.560 like for example i've seen that study where they say like statistically in divorce settlements women 1.00

00:46:49.120 typically end up with kids in custody battles but part of that is misogyny i think they're just

00:46:54.580 assuming women will want them but most of that is that men don't typically fight for kids the way

00:46:59.240 that women do so have you seen anything where you're kind of like yeah that's like an it seems 1.00

00:47:04.680 to be every single time absolutely yeah women in self-defense women and stand your ground laws or 1.00

00:47:11.360 black people when people of color yeah on stand your ground laws stand your ground laws the whole

00:47:16.320 idea of like don't tread on me you know where we can guard our castle and protect our castle and that's 0.95

00:47:21.820 why you know second amendment right to bear arms um you know people who are white and men who shoot 0.99

00:47:29.560 an intruder and kill them and then you know are never charged because oh well it was you know it's the

00:47:34.480 it's called like the castle doctor and you can protect your castle you know you can stand your ground 0.95

00:47:38.060 yeah um you know uh shooting just unarmed kids in the street because they had a hoodie on yeah well

00:47:43.640 stand your ground you know we have seen you got they were threatened you know xyz but then when

00:47:48.340 women do it because they're literally being attacked yeah in the street or otherwise in their homes 1.00

00:47:53.760 domestic violence victims especially yeah trying to protect their children or protect themselves

00:47:58.160 it's they're always charged and that's not i mean statistically yes it's not literally 100%

00:48:04.140 of the time they're always charged but just from what you see and what you study and what yeah you

00:48:07.820 learn is there are patterns oh it's stand your ground for white men yeah who who are right there's

00:48:13.720 an asterisk exactly like the moment that you know uh people black people specifically people of color as 0.95

00:48:19.760 well the moment it's a black man with a gun oh no we don't want we don't want people of color to 1.00

00:48:23.640 have guns oh no that's just we just we didn't mean everyone can have second amendment rights 0.80

00:48:27.420 actually that's dangerous yeah no oh now now well that's threatening yeah well and also it's like

00:48:33.760 you know when uh someone's pulled over by a cop and then you know a cop like you know shoots them

00:48:39.980 eight 18 times because you know their their skin was a little bit darker and everyone there's always 1.00

00:48:44.360 people go well we don't know the full story well they were reaching in their back seat what if there

00:48:47.640 were a gun there was a gun back there maybe they're in alabama there's a gun in every back seat in 0.96

00:48:51.820 fucking alabama like they were reaching back for their license or their gum or whatever i'm like but the 0.99

00:48:56.040 moment it's a white person everything's fine everything's cool everything's chill i don't 1.00

00:49:00.180 care if you're reaching in your back seat right right you don't care well he was getting his

00:49:03.280 license like oh it's not a big deal um and well you know oh he was he was a he had a license you

00:49:08.280 know an open carry license it's fine i'm like but that person had one too the black guy had one too

00:49:12.840 the black girl had one too yeah so that was one thing i mean there are hundreds of things that i could

00:49:18.740 say but that is one thing that that came to mind because because you know domestic violence

00:49:24.740 victims especially in this country women who are stalked women who are threatened and there are

00:49:29.200 a lot of people online even influencers and creators who've experienced that yeah they they

00:49:33.420 basically are like well unless they literally kill you we can't really do anything oh yeah i've been

00:49:39.000 told that yeah yeah yeah i've had i've had issues with men who have stalked me and my family for like

00:49:44.940 years uh and then it's always like well unless they act on it i can't do anything right and then they

00:49:50.180 act on it and then they go well it's not that bad yeah like well they didn't well you well you

00:49:54.940 like ran fast enough so they didn't catch you oh yeah and that works by design yeah because there's

00:50:00.620 a way like everyone who says well what can you do you know free country we can't just you know

00:50:05.340 basically prevent people from moving certain places or talking or saying certain things online

00:50:09.940 or to someone just you know first amendment just because one person feels threatened i'm like well

00:50:13.680 no that's not what's happening they they really because the law is very um archaic when it comes

00:50:21.720 to doing what it can to protect our most vulnerable in society right and our most vulnerable are honestly

00:50:28.540 the people who aren't as protected by the law which includes lgbtq plus community yeah trans community

00:50:34.460 women yeah women of color children too yeah the amount of times that laws just completely leave 0.99

00:50:42.300 massive holes open for kids to be abused by the system or to be left out or to be um just subject

00:50:49.280 to the worst things both in you know juvenile detention centers and now like even more it even

00:50:54.080 more vulnerable yeah exactly and it's because i mean i'm like look at who set this system up look at

00:50:59.860 the who's in who's been in power in the legal field yeah or for the last 100 million years uh white

00:51:05.560 men white men white men and even though right now today there are more women in this field than there

00:51:09.860 are men all of the people who are in power are the white men it doesn't matter you know i mean i'm

00:51:13.780 like yeah being a woman i see women everywhere but we're all subject to the same misogyny because 1.00

00:51:17.900 the people who are you know determining our paychecks who make decisions yeah we're the ones having to 0.99

00:51:23.420 convince those fucking assholes yeah of the personhood and the existence of people who don't 0.99

00:51:30.680 look like them yep and that's difficult sometimes when you're fighting prejudice it's fighting ghosts 1.00

00:51:35.560 really literally yeah you're like i want to change the system but i need to get inside of it and how

00:51:40.580 can i get in when it's impenetrable exactly you know what it kind of equates to sometimes when it 0.99

00:51:46.680 comes to because we're like in the legal field it's like politicians lawyers die in that chair bitch 1.00

00:51:51.460 they do not retire they do not quit i worked for a man who was 90 years old practicing in court we do 0.97

00:51:57.420 not take licenses away oh no baby we let you we let you pull up like you pass the bar 0.99

00:52:03.320 like during prohibition like that shit's fucking wild if father time is assigned to me hey i'm 0.99

00:52:10.840 oh yeah no you're hey i'll defend myself in court um he might keel over any second no 100 he's gonna 0.99

00:52:16.800 be like oh she's free they freed her shit he's like well i might not be alive by the end of this trial 0.96

00:52:22.480 no exactly i kid you not exactly and they smell exactly like you think and so when you know like 0.98

00:52:28.240 a lot of times right you're um some of them honestly some of them are great like i've met a

00:52:33.760 lot of um men who are in this field who are the white male old demographic who are honestly not

00:52:39.580 like necessarily the good ones because all of them should be the good ones but they have absolutely

00:52:43.660 been pivotal and like making sure there's a door open yeah but but you know sometimes they're just so

00:52:49.120 old that it's like honestly like working with a make-a-wish kid then i mean that in the most

00:52:56.460 respectful way of look if you're at disneyland and you see a make-a-wish kid and they are a terror

00:53:02.260 right they are screaming yelling crying in line yeah like like fisting people you know i mean

00:53:07.460 punching people whatever and you see the big make-a-wish crown right on their head you go well it's not

00:53:12.960 really my business to say anything because like they don't have a lot of they don't have a lot of time

00:53:16.380 left yeah i mean like you want them to just to enjoy it you just gotta let it you just gotta let

00:53:19.940 it ride right and put your energy somewhere more important take them out to pasture later exactly

00:53:24.620 and all of these not all of them but some of these men who are like it's like you know during the black

00:53:29.880 life matters protest i remember one of my bosses who was otherwise a good lawyer is like rambling

00:53:34.380 on and on right about their you know the whole thugs terminology stuff and i was like i just i just sat

00:53:41.360 there listening because i'm like he's gonna be dead soon you know what i mean like i'm like i don't

00:53:45.120 you're teaching him anything is not helping anyone like it's not like he's a like he's not 0.99

00:53:49.980 changing oh yeah yeah he's gonna go home to his dead wife and just and his shitty dog and that's 0.98

00:53:56.780 gonna be that and eventually one day i'm gonna get the call and go finally right like he's done it's 0.98

00:54:01.100 over yeah you just gotta i'm glad your wife's no longer with you yeah father time can sometimes be 0.98

00:54:06.240 on our side because i'm like speed this shit up please god damn it like sometimes people just have 0.99

00:54:12.420 to die in order for things to change and that's okay and you know what and you know what when it 0.99

00:54:17.940 when it picks the right person i'm a fan you know sometimes i'm like well we're all better off right

00:54:22.860 and i'm not advocating for murder okay i'm saying the natural passing of time circle of life circle

00:54:29.020 of life you know lion king they ate with that okay but but they were on the song let's try to change

00:54:34.660 their minds let's hope that they they deteriorate i've actually said that i said that on i think on

00:54:40.660 rain wilson's podcast like he said like do you think there is hope for change or uh you know

00:54:46.760 what have you and i said yeah i do i just don't think it's going to come from people who have made

00:54:50.420 up their minds it's not going to come from them like you got to let them die out like you got to 0.97

00:54:54.520 let those bloodlines stop bitch i've already prayed to my ancestors about it hopefully and baldness 1.00

00:55:00.160 hopefully that continues to ravage their bloodlines i said what i think will help enact change other 0.98

00:55:05.760 than everyone who's already on the same page is getting a bunch of fence sitters like

00:55:09.220 people who don't care at all or people who aren't plugged in or people who are like i don't know

00:55:13.360 which one's which like it sounds like there's bad on both sides like people like that are the ones

00:55:17.520 that you need you can grab and have join you yep everyone else let them die off exactly that's

00:55:23.820 the fastest way to do it have a chance yeah exactly go either way or they have enough of an open mind

00:55:30.380 or empathy or whatever right exactly to grasp a concept i agree because right you look at all these

00:55:36.200 other horrible times in history and you have to know to a certain extent yeah those people had to

00:55:42.360 die off like i'm sorry like i'm really sorry but they just had to right there's no other way for us

00:55:47.960 to have fixed that at all like literally you can't all when someone's 90 yeah and they've spent 80 of

00:55:53.920 those years hating people very specifically owning people very specific what am i gonna do in their

00:55:58.780 last two months of their life you know what i'm saying not talk not waste my time exactly like are you 0.91

00:56:03.860 fucking kidding me i'm not wasting my time that's why i think the same thing and i said that too 0.87

00:56:07.780 during 2020 and all of that i was like it got to a point where i was like i'm not convincing anyone 0.96

00:56:12.540 no that's not my job no it's not my job and on my billable hour you couldn't afford me anyway 0.99

00:56:17.060 be fucking serious i'm gonna tell you to choke bitch that's what i'm gonna tell you to do 1.00

00:56:20.300 well you're just intolerant i'm not intolerant i'm tolerant of people who actually want to listen 1.00

00:56:25.380 i'm intolerant of you i'm intolerant of you oh no for sure yeah this is not a safe space for you 0.99

00:56:29.280 this is dangerous as fuck well they're like well you sound so hateful well that's because i am i 1.00

00:56:33.500 hate you that's because i hate you that's a strong word i hope that's clear yeah it's strong words 0.99

00:56:38.260 why i used it yeah it's absolutely why i know you're i'm intimidated by you good yeah perfect 0.73

00:56:44.560 perfect great it's working thank god okay so to to wrap us because we've been yapping girl sorry

00:56:50.980 period no don't be sorry i love it that's the the best episodes i have are those uh i would love to

00:56:56.240 know if you have any advice for anyone marginalized really who maybe wants to go in into law and maybe

00:57:03.060 is like nervous about encountering invisible barriers which obviously you've spoken to a bunch

00:57:08.140 in the field but i think it's imperative actually before you answer that question i want to give you

00:57:13.280 your flowers i think you're incredible and i think people like you are very important not just because 0.50

00:57:18.540 obviously you're extremely smart and talented and you're fucking funny which i love smart and funny

00:57:23.520 go hand in hand in my opinion but also being a woman and being a white woman and advocating the 0.61

00:57:29.320 way that you do is very important and i want to give you your flowers i think you're amazing i think

00:57:33.720 people like you are so necessary not just in in the literal world because rev has a literal job a real

00:57:40.020 job unlike mine you can't relate you can't relate and neither can i because she works a lot harder than 0.97

00:57:46.520 i do no uh you have your real like you're actually making a difference in the world and i think that's

00:57:51.320 so incredibly important and powerful and i think you're amazing so i want to say that first well thank

00:57:57.180 you i it should be the baseline for everyone like i it makes me feel so awkward because i'm i

00:58:02.120 genuinely believe i'm like i if my job as a lawyer like everyone's job as a lawyer is to go to court and

00:58:08.980 argue for their clients how is it not part of our job that we make it a better profession that we make

00:58:13.820 it a better field that we make it safer for someone else that we to put our neck out where

00:58:18.020 maybe another person couldn't because i'm a white woman and i know that the color of my skin is going 0.99

00:58:22.200 to make a difference in whether i can say something or not whether i can threaten my job or not um and

00:58:27.260 and so for people who want to come into this field who are part of those communities that this field

00:58:33.440 does not represent absolutely or are not represented by you know only five percent of all attorneys in

00:58:37.900 the u.s are black which is crazy because 38.7 percent of our incarcerated population is black

00:58:42.660 because of inherent racism period and prejudice period yeah um and and so you know i always tell 0.96

00:58:50.040 people i would want if i were in a situation and anyone could be of being on the other side

00:58:57.060 of of a courtroom that's not the good side right the side where you're being accused of something

00:59:01.300 and in this day and age police are legally allowed to lie to you legally allowed to do anything and

00:59:05.300 but their jobs um you would be surprised well i don't do anything wrong there are people who are in

00:59:10.960 prison right now who did nothing wrong yeah and that's how that that's how that works um but you

00:59:15.320 know if if i were ever in that situation or if if you or anyone were ever in that situation

00:59:19.920 wouldn't you want to be represented by someone who looks like you who comes from your culture who

00:59:25.400 understands you and your neighborhood and your background absolutely and yeah of course there

00:59:30.260 are going to be white people who are the good ones who you know hopefully if i represent someone

00:59:35.340 who doesn't look like me and i have obviously that i do my best to represent their interests like

00:59:40.660 any great advocate would yeah but god it's the same thing as like going to the ob-gyn i know there 0.82

00:59:46.040 are good male ones i want a woman yeah sorry and that's a personal fucking opinion right i don't think 0.96

00:59:51.660 that y'all should lose your licenses i mean it's weird and creepy at a party for sure i'm gonna start 0.97

00:59:56.300 i'm gonna side eye you but that's just me that's me personally yeah something stinks about right but 0.99

01:00:00.300 why but people say yeah you're you have the right to say no man in my up my vagina when i'm giving 1.00

01:00:05.460 birth yep why wouldn't you have why shouldn't you be able to have that choice it on the worst day of 0.97

01:00:10.420 your life when you need a lawyer and you need someone and i'll tell you there aren't enough um

01:00:16.120 of people who who are from marginalized communities because of all the barriers in this field yeah so for

01:00:21.320 those who can scale them for those who can be here there are people here who are holding the door open

01:00:28.000 for you and i'm one of them and there are i'm not the only one just because i'm online doesn't mean

01:00:32.880 there aren't thousands of them just like me better than me more experienced than me who can make it so

01:00:39.220 that one day we don't have to have that conversation anymore yeah it doesn't have to be a a plea if you

01:00:44.760 will for people to like endure like all those invisible barriers in order to change it right because

01:00:50.620 the people the people who built those barriers will die yeah and they are which is great 0.80
