00:00:16.600 everybody knows me on to the guest today we have the iconic the legendary the unbelievably talented

00:00:22.180 owen thiel that was so nice oh my god you're so welcome thank you for saying that's what i do best 0.98

00:00:29.120 i know you know you lie yeah you jerk me off what you do best you jerk me off obviously yeah i'm so 0.97

00:00:36.520 excited to have you i'm so honored to be here you and i are sisters no no we actually really i really 0.97

00:00:41.420 do feel connected to you me too which is we yeah which is i i it's i feel like a lot of people feel

00:00:47.260 connected to you but i feel like i'm on the top of that for realsies i'm on the top sorry that's true

00:00:52.580 well also i feel like you're someone who doesn't you know if you're not vibing with someone immediately

00:00:57.900 so i feel like when you connect you're like this is kindred oh a hundred when i'm not vibing with

00:01:03.540 someone i'm getting in my car and i'm skirting away i'm not kidding i am like going fast as i

00:01:07.800 ever could i'm leaving i'm 100 i really i was just at coachella and there was this man who was standing

00:01:13.680 behind me and you know when people get a little too close to you yes of course especially at

00:01:18.260 coachella i get it yeah we're all kind of we're all wanting to watch gaga i get it but also like

00:01:23.580 gaga's there you're not getting any closer there's a million people in front of you back

00:01:27.540 up yeah literally it's okay she can't see you so it's fine totally love she doesn't she he's yelling

00:01:32.280 gaga for her to look in his camera i'm like my love we're 40 people back she can't hear you yeah

00:01:39.020 she has in ears in she's 100 yards away so it's all right anyways he was so close to me and eventually

00:01:45.060 i was like i looked at him and i go i either have to leave or you have to leave and then he goes

00:01:50.000 you i go yeah you decide yeah i go okay i'll leave i leave we were both at coachella how was

00:01:56.480 your coachella experience girl because miss owen is popular owen was all over the place because owen

00:02:02.300 has two successful shows coming out whatever whatever no very exciting though um thank you um i was there

00:02:09.100 for overcompensating yes um one of the one of the two shows i'm i'm on um the two ones that are coming

00:02:16.100 out that are coming out a very small part in overcompensating but i'm very it's a friend of

00:02:20.040 mine made it so he put me in it who we both love i love him we love benny we love benny he's the best

00:02:27.120 he's actually the most wonderful person and marybeth i love her i love her i love i love ride i love i'm

00:02:32.880 just obsessed with them yeah um but he very kindly put me in a show and because he was like you don't

00:02:39.280 really have anything on the horizon pop into my show i was like totally thanks shut up so he put me in a 0.64

00:02:44.660 show and i was like oh my god i'll i'll do any press with you because yeah i'm obsessed with you

00:02:49.540 and i just want to hang with you yeah so he brought me to coachella to he did this like overcompensating

00:02:54.340 house and he invited like it was a party yeah essentially a party i my publicists are gonna

00:03:01.820 kill me for saying this i got too drunk at a press event and now looking back i'm like that was work i

00:03:09.040 should have been a little more professional but it was a party to me it's really hard it's like it's

00:03:14.120 really hard to split hairs because all your besties are there too one all my besties were

00:03:18.340 there two they gave us i'm not kidding um a server for the cast so the server would come up and be

00:03:24.940 like hey owen do you do you need anything else so obviously every time the server would come over i

00:03:29.700 would feel bad yeah i would say yeah i'll take another tequila thank you so much i don't want him

00:03:34.620 to walk away and not do anything you know what i mean i want him to have something to do

00:03:37.920 i feel bad i feel bad so he kept bringing me tequilas right did one too many tequilas seven

00:03:45.100 tequilas and i'm like hey ben i'm probably gonna go home soon and he's like yeah that's probably for

00:03:49.840 the best disaster but anyway i'm sure it was fun though it was so much fun but i think getting

00:03:56.200 drunk during the day is not for me no at our big age girl i'm not doing that it's bad bad news

00:04:02.360 bears doing that did you did you do you drink yeah yeah i do i'd prefer to smoke weed but like

00:04:08.160 i do drink um and at coachella i was drinking uh and i also had tequila but i didn't drink a ton

00:04:15.080 because i was like i would prefer to be high so i was like oh yeah i'll do a couple shots and then

00:04:19.880 when i started getting a little too a little too loose with it i was you know when like it's almost

00:04:24.280 like the the 30 year old version of yourself pops in and they're like hey we can't be doing this

00:04:29.160 and that's what i'm like you're right you're right i need to drink electrolytes like i'm

00:04:32.640 like talking to myself 100 you're right 100 yeah i should be prioritizing my hydration you're right

00:04:38.480 no my future self pops up my 50 year old self is like hey owen you're gonna resent you're gonna

00:04:43.080 regret this you're gonna you're gonna really look at your face in a few years and be like why did i

00:04:47.280 drink that extra shot real i get so puffy and i look instantly like i've drank when i like you can't

00:04:55.220 hide it no you can tell immediately one shot in my boyfriend's like so you're drunk

00:04:58.640 yeah my eyes are crossing immediately i'm like it's a disaster i know i feel like i'm an extra

00:05:04.460 lightweight now too now that i'm older wait is that a thing yeah i think so it's completely changed

00:05:09.980 also decreasing how we drink how much we drink because when i was younger i could drink like a 0.99

00:05:14.920 fucking champ i could drink like a motherfucker i would drink that kind of drink would put me in 0.99

00:05:20.000 the hospital now if i did that now i'd be i'd be out of commission for i was drinking like 1.00

00:05:24.800 eight shots and being like i'm fine yeah and then be like all right then now let's go to the party

00:05:30.760 no totally exactly oh now i feel a little loose like i know now when my friends say dinners at like

00:05:35.920 8 p.m i'm like that's so late you guys don't want to meet earlier yeah yeah yeah my friends who are my

00:05:42.900 age are are in their pregame era again where they're like that's so true and i'm like wait is

00:05:50.280 the is the pregame the dinner and they're like no no we have dinner after i'm like i'll just come to

00:05:54.420 the pregame then girl i'm not gonna make it to the dinner girl i'm not first of all i'm gonna be

00:05:59.320 drunk first of all second of all it's late when i get drunk like that too i like after a while i'm

00:06:05.600 like i gotta go lay down no and i just go to and i'll disappear and i'll go to sleep i don't know no

00:06:10.820 drew yeah i just i'll leave and i'll be like yeah no i'll be right back and then they'll find me and

00:06:14.480 i'm sleeping somewhere i'm like i have to go close my eyes i am fully inviting you to a party and i

00:06:21.740 i'm leaving the door open and i will find you the next morning in my bed i'll be like wait you were

00:06:25.820 here yeah when i was in college literally after a while my friends would be like i can't find drew

00:06:30.360 oh she's probably laying down because i just always be like well it's time for bed i'm gonna go lay

00:06:34.060 down totally time for bed sorry sorry i i love i don't sleep famously i sleep like two hours a night

00:06:40.120 i know that about you but you're a vampire i'm a vampire yeah you just you sleep standing up

00:06:45.700 probably at coachella i was i will tell you this when when it's so much waiting for the artist to

00:06:52.260 come out and then finally they come out and then it's adrenaline yeah but before that time the five

00:06:57.200 minutes honey that is a good time to sleep my eyes were i was open my eyes were open but i was

00:07:02.100 emotionally gone day one i think the first act we saw was the maria's of course so and they're at

00:07:09.260 6 p.m so that's when we got there and i had i had taken edibles before i went so i was like i'm

00:07:14.780 gonna be chilling when i get there and then i took i felt like all the environment i got the

00:07:20.580 scaries a little bit totally so when i got the scaries i was like i gotta be chill because i don't

00:07:25.080 want to ruin anybody else's time but thankfully the maria's music is like nice and chill and vibey it's

00:07:30.580 a great place right scary yeah the scary is for real to get past my scary totally so i had to sit

00:07:35.860 down on the grass and i was like you're okay you're fine i'm like talking to myself i look

00:07:39.680 insane like i was doing meth and i'm telling i'm telling myself you're okay you're good everything's

00:07:43.700 fine i'm like people are coming up to you for pictures they're like she looks like you're like

00:07:49.340 if you can come down here yeah and it probably looks like it looks like i'm vibing like this

00:07:53.380 when i'm literally going you're okay you're okay no panicking we're not gonna panic we're gonna be

00:07:56.460 fine and then right after that we walked to missy elliot because we were like right there of course

00:08:01.040 and when we went to missy elliot as soon as i got out there i was like walking next to my man

00:08:05.160 and he was like are you how you feeling are you good and i was like yeah i had the scaries back

00:08:09.580 there but i'm ready to party now now we're in the fun part i totally know i the first time i ever

00:08:17.500 went to coachella i went with my father who by the way it sounded like it was like a sexual thing

00:08:23.960 i thought it would sound like a field trip oh great my dad okay i don't know why father to me

00:08:28.120 sounded so weird i always say dad yeah but i guess or dad my mom texted me the other day in

00:08:33.240 a group chat with a friend and said daddy needs you to text him back i was like this you can't say

00:08:38.180 daddy about my dad no okay anyways um i went with my father to coachella first year and i was with a

00:08:44.500 i brought a friend and the friend got um an edible from her hairdresser and it's a long story but

00:08:52.340 anyways she was like okay i'm five one it was a it was like a hubby bar she was like i'm five one

00:08:57.700 so i'm gonna take one square square you're six four so just eat the rest and i was like

00:09:04.200 okay so ate the whole bar terrible advice i'm not kidding i was in this heart sahara tent and

00:09:11.380 suddenly every single person around me was green and i was like oh i'm in wicked

00:09:15.500 oh wicked came out early cynthia's here i was freaking out all of a sudden on a stretcher all

00:09:22.680 of a sudden at home that's all i remember literally all i remember it's like you're opening

00:09:26.420 your opening totally literally and then you're at home suddenly opening my mcdonald's next to me

00:09:31.220 i'm thrilled girl you're all did i have fun at least yeah literally literally my dad's like you

00:09:36.320 probably don't want to go back tomorrow and i looked at him and i said i'm obviously going back

00:09:39.740 tomorrow obviously and now i know to just take one square so just take the rest yeah

00:09:43.520 well tell me let's talk about your shows i would love to talk about the shows coming obviously we

00:09:48.640 talked about overcompensating yes but i'd love to know about your other fun show um i'm obsessed

00:09:54.500 with it i actually i haven't seen any of it but you obviously filmed it but i felt i was in it yeah

00:10:01.260 so yeah um it's about five best friends who all live in one house in new york um and we're kind of

00:10:08.900 navigating life together figuring out how to become an adult it's called adults fun yeah um and we're

00:10:16.340 really bad at it we're really bad at becoming an adult which is kind of how i feel experience

00:10:22.540 yeah so i was like oh i can tap into this i was like can i improv i know some things um it was great

00:10:28.100 it was um it was four people i had no i didn't know them before they're amazing actors but they

00:10:34.140 hadn't been in that much and also i they one lived they all live in new york now but one lived in

00:10:39.300 australia like they're just from all over yeah and um it was so amazing to to become friends with

00:10:45.960 them on set because we had to play best friends yeah and then suddenly like i'm like oh i actually

00:10:50.600 know you oh actually i know you really well oh my god you're actually my best friend like it was

00:10:55.500 actually a beautiful thing yeah i want that's why i was going to ask about how your experience was

00:10:59.980 filming it and like being also and being a principal cast in something how exciting it was it was

00:11:05.760 amazing yeah it was cool it's my first time doing it yeah usually i call myself a nepo friend

00:11:10.140 because all of my friends somehow make these movies and i beg them to cast me in it and i'm

00:11:15.960 like no i will not audition self-deprecating you are very talented no i thank you thank you but

00:11:20.980 but also my friends do cast me in their stuff well and that's a beautiful thing because artists love

00:11:26.920 artists that's why and you know you know too especially especially the people you're friends 0.99

00:11:30.820 with they would not put you if you sucked ass i think that's true i think you know damn well they 0.99

00:11:37.140 wouldn't put you in there if you were bad i think there's a movie theater camp and molly 0.99

00:11:43.400 was directing it and she's my best friend in the world and i'm obsessed with her and there was one

00:11:47.080 part she asked me to improv this thing and i kept talking about heroin and the kids there and i kept

00:11:52.600 just bringing up heroin and molly from behind the camera was like hey ditch the heroin talk she was 1.00

00:11:58.580 like what's going on and i think in that moment she was like i can't hire my friends she was like i 0.97

00:12:03.240 don't know what to see what happens when i hire a house literally she's like fucking hell um but 1.00

00:12:07.760 other than that i think i think i've done okay i think that's a wonder i honestly think that's the 0.95

00:12:12.440 best friend to have is a friend that's honest with you in a very loving way totally but also that's

00:12:17.760 why i was saying like my artist friends like they do not mince words like if i if i'm like hey

00:12:22.980 because like caleb caleb heron love when i was running my my stand-up by him i was like running it by him

00:13:28.100 responsibly and we were on zoom i like would read him a couple jokes and some of the jokes i read him

00:13:34.000 he'd be like anything else or is that it i know yeah yeah i just shook i have chills i have i know it i

00:13:42.040 know that i would love and even like i've started like tinkering with djing wait what yeah i'm just

00:13:47.520 trying to you know i'm just i'm just wearing all kinds of hats wait because this is amazing what 0.94

00:13:52.340 who are you showing you're showing diplo on zoom your dj no fuck no wait what what tell me everything 0.97

00:13:57.440 i'm just deep i'm trying to teach myself how to dj and i i think part of it is like a vengeance plot 0.98

00:14:02.920 of my own because i can't sing so and for some reason i have been asked to audition for singing

00:14:08.320 roles a few times and i'm like i i can't fucking sing i don't know i get so frustrated i'm like just 0.91

00:14:13.580 give me something else you can sing i mean somebody who says they can't sing so vehemently 0.92

00:14:18.780 i'm like you can sing and i'm being very literal and i and i don't mean i'm tone deaf i just like

00:14:23.680 i'm not like you can sing you know what i mean i'm not like a songbird put a little auto tune it's

00:14:29.120 sizza i'm not kidding i'm not kidding i am not kidding i love it it's and so when i when i thought

00:14:36.700 about djing i was like well i love to curate a vibe totally and totally i'm gonna make my way into

00:14:42.520 that music industry whether they want me or not so i was like everybody djs i'll just dj so like i

00:14:47.720 literally got djing gifts for christmas and like both my it's so funny my parents and my fiancee got

00:14:54.020 me the same dj table for christmas but they didn't talk to each other so i got one and i've been like

00:14:58.680 tinkering with it trying to teach myself how to do mixes and shit so i it's actually hard it's 0.74

00:15:04.000 fucking hard i'm sorry we have to actually like i know being a dj is like embarrassed like people 0.92

00:15:08.800 were embarrassed about it first right they were like no that's not real music i'm sorry that 0.96

00:15:12.580 shit's hard no it's fucking hard i was like martin garricks yeah you are good at your job is there a 0.96

00:15:17.980 dj where i just cue songs on spotify i was like that's the kind of dj my boyfriend spotify has like 0.99

00:15:25.760 i don't know what setting he used i think it's literally dj setting where it like mixes one song 0.94

00:15:31.260 into the next and every time he's in the car people are like shit sick mix see that's what 0.83

00:15:37.740 i'm trying to be that's the type of shit i'm trying to be on so i was by the way two songs that don't 0.98

00:15:42.100 work together like you're having like no scrubs and like a really sad celine dion song and everyone's 0.98

00:15:47.580 like sick mix and i i was like videoing myself practicing the first time i was fucking with it 0.93

00:15:55.780 and i sent it to britney uh i texted to her and then she was like hey let's get back in that booth 1.00

00:16:01.320 hey yeah let's go ahead and turn the volume all the way down perfect i'm actually and i was like

00:16:07.660 i'm practicing still i was like these are the first uh infancy stages of me aren't those amazing

00:16:14.040 friends to have yes the ones that actually just tell you how it is thank god for them i know all of

00:16:18.760 your friends are so talented just like you are and that's why i know they wouldn't cast well they're

00:16:22.300 also no bullshit like me exactly that's what i was like there's no way they'd because they'd be 0.69

00:16:27.240 like i love you so much no no by the way that has happened to me there's there's been roles that 0.84

00:16:34.400 i've like molly gordon just did another move me just begging molly gordon to cast me on anything 0.93

00:16:39.080 molly gordon just did this other movie where she has it's her and a love interest yeah and i looked at

00:16:43.960 her dead serious and i was like i can play straight and she looks at me and she goes no you can't

00:16:49.640 i was like totally good you said that she goes who can yeah yeah not you i know you're not talking 0.98

00:16:57.800 about you yeah yeah who's i you said i right i she goes no sorry what the fuck it's really funny 0.89

00:17:06.720 but how has the uh auditioning process and stuff been for you how's that been i was asking for tips 0.94

00:17:12.640 last time we hung out oh i and i didn't have any um it's it's auditioning is horrible yeah and i i

00:17:19.940 hate to be that person that's like we have such a hard job i know for real because we don't yeah but

00:17:26.400 i'm sorry auditioning is hell it is it is horrible and for adults i was i mean i got the role so thank

00:17:35.040 god thankfully yes thank god but but also it was i was put in a room with it was like old school

00:17:41.420 auditioning right now a lot of auditions are on zoom yeah which makes it so easy because you log

00:17:45.040 off and then you can eat a bowl of cereal in the comfort of your own home and turn on the kardashians

00:17:48.420 this is like this was like i flew to new york i was in a room with people who were like better versions 1.00

00:17:54.180 of me and who i like stalked online for years being like fuck they got that role fuck you know like 0.95

00:17:58.620 and they're all in this room with me and i'm like have to act cool yeah and so i'm like hi i've never 0.99

00:18:03.840 heard of you before i'm owen meanwhile it's like they're in my search yeah for real yeah um i've looked

00:18:08.440 them up on imdb every second of every day uh and it was just hard it was like you go into a room

00:18:13.920 you're like in front of these this panel it's like it's like america's next top model it's like

00:18:18.100 hard um she's like i only have seven photos in my hand literally literally uh it was it was scary but

00:18:26.040 it was it was such an amazing experience we shot adults in toronto which i've never been to have you

00:18:31.700 been to toronto i've no i've never been to toronto i've been to vancouver vancouver's gorgeous yeah

00:18:36.220 how was toronto well vancouver i heard my friends from vancouver and she's like a surfer and she like

00:18:42.820 skates and she's like hot and outdoorsy and cool and she's like that's what vancouver gives and then

00:18:48.360 toronto's like new york like a city which right i love yeah that's more your vibe yeah i'm not a

00:18:53.580 camper love um so i like toronto because it was a lot of shopping nice period food period so i liked it

00:19:00.860 we love that but i think a lot of people from vancouver don't like toronto yeah i think so

00:19:06.380 they have a lot of inner inner city beef yeah there's some inner city beef going on up there

00:19:11.620 anyways i love both their cities anyone listening i like both of you guys no beef yeah yeah sorry

00:19:16.660 i'm not picky yeah yeah well what are you excited uh what are you like excited for people to see when

00:19:22.800 it comes to adults like is there anything in particular excited about your character or any

00:19:26.400 particular episode with no spoilers obviously no i spoil the whole thing like well i uh i almost

00:19:33.820 went really dark and really scary about a fake spoiler that i will not say no yeah um adults i think

00:19:39.720 hopefully if we did our job right it's just like a really fun watch um and hopefully it feels like

00:19:45.800 a good sitcom that you just like love to like i think we grew up watching friends and yeah not to

00:19:53.720 compare this with friends at all the 20 season genius show but i just think it it hopefully it

00:19:58.740 gives that same vibe where it's just you're laughing and also you're like you like the characters i play

00:20:04.000 a version of myself um so if you don't like me you might not like my character in the show i'm a little

00:20:11.720 more emotionally guarded okay than how i am in real life i'm yeah i'm like an open book but in the show

00:20:16.280 i'm kind of figuring that out and that's my journey towards adulthood is actually figuring out how to be

00:20:20.760 more you know open um which is great and i think my favorite episode to shoot was i don't know if i

00:20:30.800 can give this away but i'm gonna do it and then if i cut it we cut it um i in the show i become i'm

00:20:36.480 friends with everyone i'm like a people pleaser but and and uh they call me a friend slut and i'm

00:20:41.400 like literally like we'll say hi to everyone and go to dinner with anyone who says hi to me which is not

00:20:45.800 too far off from me but if i don't like you i'll leave the dinner that's true that's me this character

00:20:50.840 is not yeah anyways um i become friends with this man who later become we find out is a subway stabber

00:20:57.540 has stabbed someone on the subway and he's like literally sitting in our table and i'm like oh my

00:21:02.040 god i just saw you on the news so that's really fun that's i think my favorite episode oh that's so

00:21:07.260 sweet i love that and i think that's really cool what you said about it being like a feel-good show that

00:21:12.640 feels like you can relate to them and see yourself especially because when i i talked to quinta

00:21:18.060 brunson at the golden globes earlier this year oh i know i saw that interview oh yeah and i asked her

00:21:23.380 what do you want to see more of in tv and film and she was like i want to see more like fun like more

00:21:27.980 silly more like kind of like friend loving like kind of energy and shows because obviously we have a lot

00:21:33.740 of serious shows which are great too and dramatic and that's great too but like good comedy shows

00:21:38.340 totally i i think i we had so many of them yeah and we had so many amazing movies like

00:21:43.600 yeah will ferrell was starring in so much great shit back you know what i mean like elf was out

00:21:48.240 like yeah where's elf now like i want my elf right um yeah i think that we're just we're we're lacking 0.96

00:21:54.360 in that category and we have thank god for shows like hacks and yeah only murders in the building and

00:21:58.860 the other two and all of these great shows but they're slowly like leaving the air and you're

00:22:04.560 seeing the saddest thing is watching the comedy that you love like driving by a poster that's like

00:22:09.520 the final season i'm like what i just got into this it's so sad so hopefully this is that feel good

00:22:15.800 show for people i'm hoping i'm hoping people will smoke some weed period take an edible and you're

00:22:21.960 describing my friday night so i'm there actually my everyday night if i'm being honest what's your

00:22:27.020 dream role what would be a dream role for you um whether it's like tv show or movie can i tell you

00:22:32.880 something i would love to be in an animated movie oh i think you would kill an animated movie to be

00:22:37.520 in an animated like adult animation or like pixar kind of deal well i mean pixar probably because

00:22:43.240 the big buck probably paid the big buck no i would i think adult animation like i love i i just i i want

00:22:51.620 to be like a little gopher or something that like fucks like a big mouth or something totally i love

00:22:58.220 big mouth so good in something nick kroll um executive produced adults so oh that's cool i 0.97

00:23:03.720 didn't know that he's amazing so sick wonderful and i was i tried to sidle up to him a few times

00:23:09.280 on set and was like grease the wheels big mouth and then he eventually looked at me and said yes 0.99

00:23:15.120 um you'd be great on big mouth if it wasn't ending it's ending this season i was like fuck 0.99

00:23:20.600 well now you're like yeah exactly shit i could have been on it for the last eight seasons like 0.99

00:23:27.320 what the fuck um it's what i love big mouth oh that's so cool so i would do something like that 0.99

00:23:32.040 i think that would be like i think you would kill at something like i also like this sounds 0.99

00:23:36.560 absolutely insane and i should be so lucky but there's something about seeing yours i'm doing

00:23:41.200 adr for adults right now and going in and seeing yourself on screen and i'm like

00:23:45.260 oh i don't like that i'd rather like voice a gopher you know what i mean like because then

00:23:51.040 you're like oh make the gophers cute oh it's fine if you make the gopher ugly like you don't care

00:23:54.900 you know what i mean it's not a reflection i know you're freaking me out honestly because i had to get

00:23:59.060 used to seeing myself all the time in the way i do now totally if i start acting because now i told

00:24:04.160 you already i'm working on acting now i'm gonna see myself in a different some lenses i'm like you hate 0.55

00:24:09.700 me oh by the way some friends lenses a friend just took a picture of me he was like oh and i want

00:24:16.140 to take some press photos of you i was like this is a free press great delete i'm not getting and

00:24:22.240 block i'm not getting block you as a friend i couldn't believe the photos he took how rude no

00:24:27.580 seriously they're really offensive i i don't know what he thought what he thought i was are you mad at

00:24:34.440 me or something literally i did something to your mother i don't know what i did though i'm trying

00:24:39.060 to figure it was so rude i know there's some pictures like some lenses i'm like oh man i

00:24:44.400 probably look terrible and then when i watch it back i'm like oh my god i look stunning and then

00:24:48.300 some i'm like i felt so good that day and i watch it back and i'm like oh my god you guys just let

00:24:53.100 me leave the house looking like that totally oh jesus christ it's so mean and then there's the

00:24:58.140 worst which is when a friend takes a photo of you yeah sends it to you and it's already face tuned

00:25:02.840 and you're like wait what you're like you really think i needed can i see the original

00:25:07.840 you're like i looked at that why do i look like why do it it's like a face app i'm like kiss too

00:25:15.300 so i'm like hollywood four i'm like looking like insane it's that bold glam totally totally totally

00:25:20.980 i'm like i have eyelashes to the seal i'm like i don't think i have my eyelashes in today like why

00:25:25.340 did you put them on me it's really offensive i think you would kill in an animated movie right 0.97

00:25:30.200 what's your dream role i don't know honestly i'm like just cast me in anything at this fucking point 0.95

00:25:35.860 i'm like whatever the rock doesn't want you can cast me we're the same build or jason momoa we're 0.81

00:25:41.000 built the same we look the same from behind um honestly i think i think we talked about it on

00:25:45.940 your show when i went on your show too i would love to do something like like an abbot or like

00:25:49.680 something like adults too would be so fun like something new and and light-hearted and funny

00:25:53.520 okay t let me know well i know half the people on that cast i would hope so wait literally

00:25:58.760 literally no you were so funny when you came on my show you were i was like what's your dream role

00:26:03.100 and you were like i still remember it it makes me laugh to this day you're like um you're like

00:26:07.640 either abbott elementary or um and then you said i think you said pirates or house of the dragon

00:26:15.000 house of the dragon either abbott elementary or house of the dragon i was like

00:26:18.640 you were like disney or pirates of the caribbean yeah i literally it was like what

00:26:24.660 new girl or yeah yeah yeah literally the office or um the hulk like what yeah for real oh my god

00:26:35.080 i'm like uh the office or triangle of sadness yeah either of those i'd be super into it those two kind

00:26:40.680 of have overlap i see the venn diagram somewhere i see it i know i i feel like at this point i'm just

00:26:46.660 like i'll take anything i hear anything anyone needs me for you go ahead let me watch movies

00:26:52.520 i'm like yeah uh we were talking about chris fleming earlier how much we love him i'm obsessed

00:27:01.420 chris fleming once described himself as a culture scavenger he said i just when everybody's done and

00:27:08.200 no one's talked about it for 20 years i go and i rifle through the garbage like a little raccoon and

00:27:12.860 i pick them up and i'm like now i'm gonna watch this wait i'm obsessed and i was like that's honestly

00:27:16.920 how i watch movies i feel like and i think it's especially when i'm working a lot i watch the same

00:27:21.900 things totally all the time totally just as like almost background noise at that point and then

00:27:27.180 when i finally take a break that's when i try to watch new things i hear you i'm kind of a culture

00:27:32.920 scavenger me too yeah like i watched it so late like way after everybody i literally texted my

00:27:39.180 boyfriend the other day and i said have you seen making a murderer which by the way came out in

00:27:43.560 literally 20 i was like this is a brilliant film carol baskin i literally was like carol baskin where

00:27:49.140 is she my boyfriend was like you miss like so much of pop like hayley bieber dressed up as her 1.00

00:27:54.940 for halloween eight years what if you were like you literally were like why is nobody talking about

00:27:59.380 this literally literally no one's talking about this piece of literature i think it's brilliant

00:28:05.220 no i'm i'm sort of like that i love that that's why we're so like totally we have so much well we

00:28:10.680 can watch like 30 rock for the first time together i know for real i was like sometimes people ask me

00:28:15.680 like the most obvious and basic films or tv shows they're like oh you've seen like i don't know the

00:28:22.100 godfather right and i'm like no no and i was just talking to my friend kendall and she was saying

00:28:26.700 sometimes i lie and i just say yeah because i don't want to do the whole part where they go you

00:28:30.500 gotta watch it and i'm like 100 i do have to watch it i always lie no i always about every single tv

00:28:38.100 show i i i'm blatantly blatantly lied on my podcast the other day about white lotus somebody asked me

00:28:44.640 about it and i was like i love it i love walton goggins i i blatantly lied like i was like amy

00:28:50.260 lou woods a genius i think she is never seen her i i yeah from what i've heard by the way now people

00:28:55.760 are gonna know i lied in that episode there you go well um movie magic totally movie magic uh i watched

00:29:02.940 it i promise no i i always lie yeah me too about stuff like that because it's harmless also the

00:29:08.600 white lotus i had never watched the white lotus either i hosted the premiere i never watched that

00:29:12.700 show big fan big fan never seen never seen it totally huge fan though totally and i'm honestly

00:29:19.640 glad i did this season this season popped off everybody was so excited and happy about it everybody

00:29:23.360 loved it it's amazing if we had watched it and you know you watched of course and i think you're

00:29:28.120 freaking talented mike white um no he's obviously he's obviously so talented i just haven't watched

00:29:33.620 it we would kill in white lotus they should cast us i i we go as friends can i be honest what is it

00:29:40.620 about that i do know i do can't what is it about it's basically the white lotus is the name of the

00:29:48.420 resort and then each season they have people like vacationing at the resort but each season starts

00:29:54.740 with a dead person and it's someone in the principal cast and then like you see a dead body or you know

00:30:00.420 something someone is dead but you don't know who it is until the end of the season so then it like

00:30:04.400 the first episode happens and then you jump like do a chime jump back to when they all get there and

00:30:08.580 then you learn more about them as they stay at the resort and shit that it sounds like a great so it's

00:30:12.760 all well now i'm sold that should win every i mean so basically that's the point and like each story

00:30:19.920 is different and not all these people are like sometimes connected in ways sometimes they aren't 0.85

00:30:25.140 whatever it's just like all of them are fucked up and rich i love it and that's kind of and i guess 0.84

00:30:29.400 like the whole and this is all from my sister who has watched the white lotus uh i know mike white said 0.97

00:30:35.280 like he goes and vacations at resorts in different countries and then he like observes and then writes

00:30:40.380 roles that's that's actually genius yeah so that's scary so he right and he writes it all alone right

00:30:45.560 yeah so then he writes it and he writes out the characters that way and then kind of builds them

00:30:49.800 out throughout the show and they all sign like crazy ndas so like none of them can tell anyone

00:30:55.360 outside of the exact like team who dies and all that shit it's like crazy that's so we have to be 0.85

00:31:01.580 that's why i said we have to be it oh my god we have to be on that next season i love the show this is

00:31:06.700 this is our plea to be on this show we love you mike yeah we're all mike white we love your work

00:31:12.120 and we just have been following you for years right i've loved him in school of rock he was in

00:31:18.860 school he was actually amazing and and survivor oh yeah i actually do know his work very well i just

00:31:23.100 haven't seen the show but i i know i have to i've seen clips of it on evan ross cats's instagram

00:31:27.960 like posting like jennifer coolidge and stuff that i feel like i know enough about it to know it's iconic

00:31:34.080 you're so me because sometimes i'll tell people yeah i've seen it and it's literally i've seen clips

00:31:38.900 on tiktok or instagram and i feel like i i know enough to get by one in a conversation i could

00:31:44.720 just contribute here and there and people will think i've seen it totally well also is it scary

00:31:50.000 the white lotus yeah i think so i think it can be well it's like thrilling i wouldn't say it's scary

00:31:54.440 it's a thriller and you're asking me and i haven't seen it either so someone can confirm is it scary

00:31:59.360 guys yeah it's thriller thriller there you go i love but i think the plot lines are just insane 0.85

00:32:04.500 like the shit they have them doing i'm so ready they had patrick schwarzenegger doing this past 0.91

00:32:08.940 season i was like oh i read about it oh yeah with the brother yeah i know things i can talk 0.99

00:32:13.760 exactly if i met patrick schwarzenegger tomorrow i could be like you are fucking amazing 0.95

00:32:18.840 i loved that scene with your brother it's insane i i i mean i loved maybe i shouldn't say that

00:32:25.480 you killed it i actually saw him at coach oh really yeah i saw him uh oh my god so did i but

00:32:33.900 i thought it was a dream believe it or not i saw him at dj mustard's set what was he doing there

00:32:41.060 everyone was at dj mustard's set so was i everyone was every friend i text was like where were you at

00:32:48.380 dj mustard's i was like where why were you there i know she was because he was on at the same time

00:32:52.880 lady gaga so i had to pick i had to choose it was like dj yeah i did but that's only because

00:32:57.840 i know lady gaga is going on tour and i would spend money to go see her totally but i wouldn't spend 0.90

00:33:02.400 money to go see dj mustard so i was like now it's my you gotta pick and choose this year was my year

00:33:06.120 for horror sets so that's what i was prioritizing totally the horse totally as a former whore myself 0.98

00:33:11.080 i was like i gotta support my girls gotta go shake ass i hear you you know and i saw him there i saw 0.96

00:33:17.660 patrick schwarzenegger there when i was leaving the set why was he there i don't know and he was there 0.99

00:33:21.880 and he was doing one of these to lma oh shit he's doing one of these you know that you know he has 0.86

00:33:27.300 that dead stare in his eyes and he's like that's what he was doing can i be honest yeah hot 0.99

00:33:31.980 i like what i hear wish i saw it in person um i would you go to stagecoach no no they don't like

00:33:41.560 my kind over there trust me i'm not going i am definitely i don't think welcome i'd be public

00:33:47.340 enemy number one over there probably a lot of my ops are probably going to that the men who hate

00:33:51.720 me on the internet 100 oh i bet they love stagecoach everyone we hate love stagecoach and the thing is

00:33:59.000 this my best friend in the world who i would literally give any organ to yeah my life to

00:34:04.920 love stagecoach and it is scary yeah it is the one thing frightened i am sort of like i don't think i

00:34:13.280 know you it scares me but it's also like maybe it's so fun and we just have to go i know i i that

00:34:19.000 feels like one of those things where if presented with the right opportunity i might be interested

00:34:24.180 totally because i'd be just just to say i went like just to get the experience what's the right

00:34:28.420 opportunity like money yeah oh like me not buying anything like i would never pay to go there yeah

00:34:33.640 being fluid out to stagecoach i hear you i i would go if yeah if it was like gorgeous yeah that's one of 0.87

00:34:40.940 those where i'm like cabana they build a cabana for us i would go fuck it well do they do those 0.87

00:34:45.860 there i don't know no not at all i would go i actually have some fun facts about you wait what 0.92

00:34:51.100 i would love i'm gonna read them to you now okay this one says you played both beast and gaston in

00:34:57.320 the same school production a beauty and the beast because you were the only boy that's true

00:35:03.040 in school imagine that yeah school production what grade i was young it was like fourth grade i was

00:35:10.860 really young but imagine the beast and gaston have to fight they have a full fighting scene so i'm

00:35:17.580 the beast and i'm like gaston you cannot and then i'm like excuse me

00:35:21.660 take care of my costume yes i will the beast

00:35:25.880 it was a disaster face and the other literally in turn well then and then second performance my mom's

00:35:32.500 like could we get a stand like i don't think the beast needs to be owen at this you're all you're all

00:35:37.620 out of breath every time you're like because you're running from one side to the other also

00:35:42.080 at that point like i forget who wins one performance gaston's gonna win love because i'm tired it was

00:35:48.820 hilarious um yeah i it was it was it's the it's the perk of being the only boy in theater is that

00:35:54.680 you get the leads you got two i got two lead roles okay let's see what else we have on here these

00:36:01.880 are fun these are like fun facts they're like pretty now that is a that's really fun fact yeah

00:36:08.060 okay so it says that you had a blog on huffington post when you were no drew no

00:36:13.380 what did you chat about on the huffington post no drew i feel like we talked about this a little bit

00:36:21.840 on on when i was on your show but i can't remember i can't i feel like you i feel like

00:36:26.740 you sprinted past it like you're trying to oh of course and i obviously cut it from the episode

00:36:31.080 like i would like to remove that from the internet um i was i was a hustler

00:36:39.760 clearly but you're working at 13 i was 13 years old i was at a party yeah with my uncle who was a

00:36:47.260 writer and my uncle introduced me to this woman and this woman worked at the huffington post yeah 1.00

00:36:54.200 and my 13 year old self my little crazy narcissistic ass shook her hand and said i would like to write 0.83

00:37:01.740 for your blog i have some things i have to say i have a lot of stuff she goes what do you have i 0.95

00:37:08.140 said there's so much drama at my school you you you would love it she was like okay this kid seems

00:37:13.780 unhinged so let's give him a blog so they gave me a blog and the first blog post that the the title

00:37:23.020 is i love my friends and it's all it's complete shade people my mom was like this is so sweet

00:37:28.740 it's about that one friend i was shading my friend who didn't come to my birthday party i was like i

00:37:33.320 love my friends who come to my birthday parties it's like i especially love when my friends accept my

00:37:38.320 invites and actually show up literally thank god for the friends who show up and bring gifts like 0.70

00:37:42.520 it's literally shading now other it was insane it was just a way for me to talk shit about people 0.79

00:37:47.640 it was crazy i want like the town crier on huffington post i want it gone from the internet

00:37:54.440 and it won't i trust me i've tried everything i've like hired publicists paid an absorbent amount of

00:38:00.820 money that you can't even explain to ask these publicists to to delete it and they're like hey

00:38:06.140 we can't i'm like can i have my money back honestly this is crazy but i need to love your friends

00:38:12.520 i love my friends who come to my birthday party it's still true actually maybe i should repose

00:38:18.800 that when i hate a friend you should or on your birthday you should put a screenshot of your i love

00:38:24.400 my friends when they come to my birthday it's so upsetting it's so i can't believe i did that but i

00:38:29.260 was 13 so i give myself a little actually 13 is too old to be doing that think about 13 13 no 13 is

00:38:38.180 like oh like i feel like that's that makes the most sense at 13 you would have that kind of

00:38:42.920 confidence to be like i have many important thoughts that you are missing out on i love my

00:38:47.420 friends you should be i love my four blogs later they're like hey we're done here we're killing your 0.98

00:38:54.700 column yeah you're out of a job yeah i literally i thought i was fucking sex in the city i was like 0.97

00:39:00.140 i'm carrie bradshaw until they cut me i'm like hey i haven't even gotten to big 0.95

00:39:04.100 dear diary literally what other blog posts did you make were they only about friends they were

00:39:11.140 one was about friends one was about family um probably called i hate my family

00:39:16.140 um uh and one was about i was singing at the time i was like wanted to be a pop star at the time love

00:39:24.160 so one was about like me on stage like how i feel on stage when the lights hit my face you know what i

00:39:29.940 it's like so embarrassing um and the next one was about probably getting fired is from this being

00:39:37.720 like this is my last post your farewell yeah yeah we're wrapping up i know you know to all the fans

00:39:44.240 who love me follow me on owenthiel.com you know it was like that it was like i had balls back then

00:39:49.580 that's why i said i feel like you're you're so me because i i've had that kind of like on almost 0.92

00:39:56.200 intangible confidence like you just you couldn't tell me shit when i was a kid where is that now 0.85

00:40:02.520 i'm like where is that i'm like i'm trying to find it it's crazy i know it's like it's so unbridled

00:40:09.080 when we're young like it's just like my confidence knew no bounds like my mom said to like when i was

00:40:14.700 younger like when i was a child i would have like you know like older women or parents or whatever 0.99

00:40:20.040 they'd be like hi like when they'd say hi to me they'd be like oh you're so beautiful and i'd be like

00:40:25.180 i know i'm actually dead that was always my response was always like yeah i know

00:40:30.520 okay thank you stop talking thank you very much totally totally wait i just remembered too when 0.91

00:40:36.800 i was on your show i was talking shit on capricorns i just remember this right now and on the the 0.80

00:40:43.460 cut down that you guys posted of the capricorn thing i saw a girl she commented on it and she tagged me 0.98

00:40:49.060 she goes i am really fucking sick of drew talking shit on capricorns like just get over it already 0.99

00:40:56.860 and i'm not kidding i responded and i said girl you should google the word joke and then come back 0.99

00:41:02.240 to this video i bet you'll feel real silly wait a hundred percent hey babe i'm kidding wait also 0.98

00:41:08.460 that was such a obviously a joke yeah what the fuck i didn't say anything there is a little t on 0.98

00:41:14.000 capricorn it's a little t yeah it's like a little real oh so you got hit my bad so sorry sorry i 0.97

00:41:20.340 clocked you look up scorpio my sign is the worst sign i know that's what i said i was like you guys 0.98

00:41:25.700 never get shit that's why i'm here to give it to you totally we get such shit like every other i mean 0.99

00:41:32.300 i i pride myself on being a scorpio because ultimately i'm loyal and horny period but but two things 0.99

00:41:37.640 about me loyal and horny sorry uh but also like people hate scorpios i know and i love scorpios

00:41:43.660 personally thank you we get along very well a hundred percent but most people like really hate

00:41:47.960 us i know it's like scorpios and gemini's the most and then i think aries would be right underneath

00:41:53.940 y'all but like i think scorpios for sure get the most but aries they don't like look up their hate

00:42:00.060 or something because they're always like we're the best side they never care they don't care at all

00:42:05.400 like the only person who should know is them and they don't and they don't care they're like

00:42:08.840 no we don't get hate i don't think i'm like wait what i just thought of that right now because i

00:42:15.040 was like girl what are you we're me and owen are giggling and you're getting mad relax oh my god

00:42:19.540 invite her on the pod yeah she flies get her on the pod she's here okay this other fact says while

00:42:25.820 filming the movie theater camp uh they found out that there was e coli in the lake at the summer camp

00:42:31.180 is that true oh my god i just remembered that yeah that was true oh my god and yes so we oh

00:42:39.540 you guys they got this is hilarious story they got the camp they were so excited about the camp

00:42:47.240 molly called me like in tears being like we got the camp we got the funding it's a go

00:42:51.740 and then three days later she was like there's e coli in the lake 0.93

00:42:57.480 damn girl no wonder it was such a steal literally she's like that's why it was no money she's like 1.00

00:43:03.860 i'm understanding yeah there was e coli in the lake it was horrifying by the way there were kids 0.99

00:43:09.260 running around like trying to swim we were like hey you might not want to get in there yeah for real 0.99

00:43:13.780 i actually didn't i thought e coli i thought e coli you get from eating your own shit 0.96

00:43:19.900 is that right or wrong i honestly don't know maybe you could get it from that i don't know 0.97

00:43:27.780 to this day to be totally honest with you now i sound really dumb but to this day i'm like so 0.99

00:43:33.200 there's shit human shit in the i'm like what's going on what is that well how do you get equal 0.99

00:43:39.320 what does e coli in the water even mean i think i i know e coli is like bacteria so from shit 1.00

00:43:46.600 i mean i'm assuming yes oh no so there's those kids there's poop in the lake you guys i know what 0.99

00:43:54.760 happened the kids during real summer camp were shitting in the lake yeah they gotta be they're 0.99

00:43:59.320 throwing turds in there jesus probably it takes a lot of shit to make e coli a lot of to poison a 0.99

00:44:06.780 whole lake jesus christ yeah there was e coli in the lake and it was scary there were there were 0.98

00:44:11.720 scenes where we were like near the lake and i was me being so down for anything became a diva and i

00:44:18.020 was like hey i don't want to get near that lake i was like so can we film it anywhere else yeah

00:44:22.640 there's there's like a scent emanating off that lake it reeks the lake yikes okay last my last fun

00:44:29.920 fact for you actually got sent to me and it's literally just this picture of timothy chalamet that

00:44:36.280 you posted on your facebook in 2016 i posted on my instagram or instagram and on facebook and

00:44:41.640 apparently that's facebook babe yeah get a load of oh no so i just realized that my facebook is

00:44:49.140 attached to my instagram which means that every every post i've been posting has been going to my

00:44:54.880 instagram my facebook yes if it's on instagram yes most often oh my god that's how my grandparents

00:45:01.480 are seeing this i was like i don't think they followed me on instagram this is great good to know

00:45:05.980 um this picture with no context no caption okay so uh did you take this pic i did you did take

00:45:14.060 proudly right so i yeah well we dated can you imagine i come up breaking news so i did timothy

00:45:22.480 we're ex-lovers sorry kylie he's bi um i know he and i became friends yeah first week of college love

00:45:32.780 i was in college for literally three weeks i went to nyu for three weeks and then i was like hey i'm

00:45:36.840 leaving this i'm going back home i'm scared um i miss my parents um but uh first week we met and we

00:45:43.400 were in class together and i became he became like i i became obsessed with him he was like so nice he

00:45:49.680 was in a movie with molly gordon i keep talking about her yeah um he was in a movie with molly called

00:45:53.600 love the coopers and they were just on set together and i i i knew molly really well so molly was like

00:45:59.620 meet my friend timmy and then we became friends and and then i this is a true story two years later

00:46:05.320 we kind of kept in touch and he was like i was in london and he was filming something in italy

00:46:10.160 and he was like pop over if you're around and i was like can't sorry i'm in london right it was

00:46:16.040 call me by your name should have went should have went to that set um he's wonderful and maybe you

00:46:23.280 would have been kylie jenner at this point if you had gone well i'm the og kylie i want kylie to watch

00:46:29.260 this and be threatened watch your back yeah yeah uh he's wonderful i actually lost touch with him

00:46:36.440 but then i recently saw him and i he screamed my name so loud and i screamed back you remember me

00:46:42.980 and it was the sweetest moment and we hugged and then he ultimately left with kylie so that's great

00:46:48.500 i really thought we had a connection but obviously not all right well you know yeah you're all he was

00:46:54.000 mine before i'll get him next time next time i'll take that train to italy we were just at coachella

00:47:00.060 and he was there yeah and i was standing with him and somebody said how do you guys know each other

00:47:06.060 and i said oh we went to college together and they looked at timmy and they were like oh before he

00:47:09.820 dropped out uh and i was i was like well actually i dropped out first yeah and they looked at both of

00:47:15.320 us and they were like and it's both done you so well they didn't know anything that i've been in

00:47:21.080 so they were like this is great for both of you i was like okay obviously timothy has had a better

00:47:27.360 career obviously oh whatever yeah i did it first i dropped out first sorry so shouldn't have done

00:47:32.560 that obviously such bullshit that's so funny yeah and we we kind of talked about it at your show like

00:47:38.900 obviously i met him at sag awards for the first time and i brought up britney because i was like 0.84

00:47:43.920 you know my friend britney and he's like britney i think he was afraid that i was talking about like

00:47:48.140 a random britney oh my god and i was like proski and then he goes oh yes yes yes i think he got

00:47:53.640 nervous of course he was like um which one which i get it yes of course yeah i do that all the time

00:47:59.060 to make up names so do i uh but he was really nice really funny you know that was my in to talk to

00:48:04.060 celebrities when i was young really i remember i was at a premiere uh i snuck into a premiere rush hour

00:48:10.720 remember rush hour yes so i snuck into they they had their after party at katsuya and i snuck in with

00:48:16.080 a friend and i walked up to paris hilton i have a picture on my instagram i walked up to paris hilton

00:48:19.960 and i said i was i looked insane okay i was like didn't they were in suits i was in a sweatshirt like

00:48:26.480 i looked like i was like why is this kid here yeah um i had dreads at the time i just was not

00:48:32.040 and i walked up to paris and i was like i know your friend i was i'm 13 okay i think i know your

00:48:38.160 friend that was my in lying about that tells me and that brings me to my blog i love love my friends

00:48:43.520 i'd like to read something if that's okay literally i read it to her she's great i don't i don't know

00:48:49.900 her at all now but i knew her that yeah well what do you mean you know her friend yeah exactly i know

00:48:54.780 i know a really good friend i made up a name like marcus and her friend marcus she was like oh yeah

00:48:59.240 do you want to pick i was like yeah she said okay all right she's like marcus is not a real name

00:49:05.740 i'll say you're 10 i don't believe you because you're a minor so she was also scared she's like

00:49:12.180 marcus is he also 10 when i was at the sag awards too right before uh timothy shellamy came up to me

00:49:19.220 uh to do the press he was at the person next to me and um his like family was behind him and

00:49:24.960 uh his like team and stuff and his mom came up to me and she's like would you mind taking a picture

00:49:30.540 of us and i was like oh yeah sure and i was like taking pictures of them and i was like

00:49:34.400 get in there dad and i was like directing i was like wait the lighting's bad sorry hold on wait

00:49:39.020 that's hilarious i was like perfect and then i was taking i was like i'll do some side ones perfect

00:49:43.720 you're like and do you want one when he wins yeah and then i take i flip the camera take a picture

00:49:47.700 of myself yeah yeah yeah and then i'll hop in there yeah and then i'll go ahead and then we'll do a

00:49:51.860 silly one with me yeah oh you guys that is i have been with i'm not naming names but i have

00:49:58.580 been with a friend of mine who wouldn't care if i named her but now i just gave it away because

00:50:02.440 it's her okay i was with a girl who's famous and she was uh i forget where we were i think erwan

00:50:09.000 and they asked for her to take a picture of them at erwan and she was like of course she was like let's

00:50:15.200 get in and meanwhile they were like no no just of us oh i love one like that i love that a quick

00:50:22.860 humbling we were dying yeah i love i sometimes i panic about that like when i would first started

00:50:28.960 getting recognized in public people would ask me and sometimes they get really nervous and i can tell

00:50:33.400 they want to ask me for a picture only once have i been like oh did you want a picture and they went

00:50:39.000 no i'm good yeah never again i'm never assuming ever again ever again ever again no i'm good no okay

00:50:46.160 perfect me too i don't want to take a picture oh my god thank god you didn't want to take a picture i

00:50:49.200 don't want to yeah oh my no i couldn't have taken a picture anyways because i don't have storage on

00:50:52.940 my phone yeah don't even bother asking me by the way don't even bother

00:50:55.820 oh no i i i've had that before i once had a girl take a picture with me um she came up she's like 1.00

00:51:04.240 oh can i get a picture with you and i said yeah yeah sure and then i took a picture with her and her 1.00

00:51:09.740 friends were like waiting for her and she's like thanks and she turned around and then her friends

00:51:13.640 were talking to her or something and we're probably like five feet apart at this point and she goes i 0.95

00:51:17.640 don't know what the fuck her name is i just think she's on tiktok or something right hey queen i can 0.99

00:51:22.380 still hear you wait i'm obsessed i don't know what the fuck her name is i'm obsessed perfect you go and 0.99

00:51:29.280 tag me in that right now you go no tag me in it right now look my name up i can always tell when 0.96

00:51:35.280 they don't know my name because they're like i've seen you on tiktok totally and sometimes they'll

00:51:42.200 even say like oh don't tell me don't tell me uh and they'll stand there and like try to guess

00:51:46.940 which is just there's no dignity in that i have seen somebody whose name actually i couldn't

00:51:53.800 remember but i would never go up to this person yeah but i've seen i i know this man from many

00:51:58.020 movies he's in like he's a staple in movies but you don't really know his name yeah i literally am

00:52:02.160 blanking on his name but he was in an air one and somebody asked him for a picture and they were

00:52:06.260 like wait you were in bride wars no no wait wait we're wait which movie you were in something with

00:52:13.160 kate hudson what was it like and then he's like no i wasn't and they were like oh and hathaway

00:52:17.500 like and he's now listing his credits what is this where's waldo literally don't make me do this no i

00:52:23.860 was i felt bad for him i almost like wanted to go up to him and like take a picture and put it on

00:52:28.380 like google somehow like try to get his name so i could be like no it's this person you know

00:52:32.640 i also can't help yeah i was like i'm so sorry i know there's nothing nothing cute or fun about

00:52:38.700 that especially when you can tell that they like they feel like they've seen you somewhere but they

00:52:44.660 just don't know your name totally but they still want to be able to tell people they've met you so

00:52:48.580 they still want the picture oh god my i think my boyfriend would be most starstruck by you he's

00:52:54.380 obsessed with you i actually think so and you know given your roster of friends that is a high 0.98

00:52:59.220 honor i'll fucking take it oh it knows everybody who knows the most famous people in the fucking 0.99

00:53:03.620 world no i'm an epo friend i collect so that they'll put me in things 0.98

00:53:08.280 okay so i would love to kind of ask you some advice questions for any aspiring actors yeah um i'd love

00:53:17.100 to know if you have any advice for anyone who's like looking to get into the business and maybe is

00:53:22.040 like whether they're feeling like nervous or worried about it or maybe they're currently trying to get

00:53:28.080 cast and stuff and like we were talking about it's a long process it's such a long process but i'd love

00:53:32.080 if you have any good any words of wisdom for them i would say this is so cheesy but i would say don't

00:53:38.980 give up right i didn't and finally after 10 years i get a a role that i can actually sink my teeth into

00:53:47.780 finally you know like absolutely and i think the little things have all shaped me and made me a

00:53:53.100 better actor and just being on set being on set for one day being a day player it's like really

00:53:57.160 shaped me so i think nothing's too small absolutely and don't give up honestly sometimes the cheesiest

00:54:04.860 advice is the best advice totally i i also think like i i forget who said this to me recently but

00:54:11.600 oh i think it was britney snow okay came on my podcast and we were talking about something and

00:54:16.500 she was like i i was she's in like 10 shows right now so i was like listing off her shows as a joke

00:54:21.880 and she was like i'm barely in that i'm barely and then she was like no i need to rephrase that

00:54:25.600 because i am in it it doesn't matter if you're in it for one day she's like i'm in and so i think

00:54:30.840 like i i always self-deprecate and that's kind of who i am as a person but like being in theater

00:54:36.200 camp even if i had two scenes it was the most rewarding thing to be to watch myself in a theater

00:54:42.120 i like it's a pinch me moment yeah it doesn't matter how how small the role is absolutely i think it's

00:54:47.440 it's important to just do what you love and by the way doing what you love also means like 0.91

00:54:51.100 making shit with friends like make his money tea like i made so many shorts that ultimately i did 0.98

00:54:55.980 trash because they were horrible um because my friends aren't talented no i'm joking um it was 0.99

00:55:01.960 because of me i cast myself in the leading role and i shouldn't have done that i it's it it's really

00:55:07.320 important to do things with friends and just like make stuff when you have an idea which is obvious

00:55:11.340 look at your tiktok like yeah you just have an idea and you post it yeah like making stuff for the

00:55:15.640 safe for the sake of making art yeah absolutely thank god that like now we have the ability to

00:55:21.040 like you have a thought you get to post a video and if it goes nowhere that's cool and if it gets

00:55:24.760 five million views that's sick too like yeah it's just great i know i think and i think that's why

00:55:29.700 you're such a shiny example of like of blending the world of like because i think you obviously you joke

00:55:37.140 a lot about being a nepo friend and you do have many many famous friends but like i said like you're

00:55:41.600 all artists you're an artist too so like i feel like you have such a genuine authentic connection to

00:55:47.120 them and that speaks through your work like clearly you're very talented i know you're very 0.98

00:55:51.300 talented i tell you all the time i jerk you off all the time owen you know this you're jerking me 0.99

00:55:55.800 but i think it speaks to like not just like your endurance and perseverance as a as an actor or as 0.95

00:56:03.820 an artist but also just like how authenticity really does win out in the end like it will come

00:56:08.600 eventually and we talked a little bit this about this on your show too about how sometimes like people

00:56:12.900 who look like us talk like us act like us it's a lot harder for us to get in the door i can't

00:56:17.680 believe i'm in this door right it's insane so we have to find like creative ways to get in the door

00:56:22.520 and you found a really creative way to get in the door it's like becoming friends with famous people

00:56:26.400 no it's like it's honestly and charm is like half the battle like being like genuine being a good person

00:56:33.420 and like having a lot of charm and charisma is like something that you have in spades and i think

00:56:38.820 that's why you've come as far as you have that's very nice i i would will say i think the people i've

00:56:43.300 become friends with i for a few of them i knew them as famous people and i was just a fan and then

00:56:48.520 we became friends but a lot of them actually i didn't know would be famous molly gordon i grew up

00:56:52.880 with rachel sonnet i knew since before she was she was on a sitcom yeah like and she wasn't you know

00:56:57.640 what i'm saying like absolutely and i just loved their work and i love their artistry so much and their 0.65

00:57:02.580 talent and i believed in them so much that i was like of course i'm fucking sticking with you like 0.91

00:57:07.040 yeah and then now obviously look at them like it's just it's i think it's really about surrounding

00:57:12.200 yourself with people that you trust and love and love their vision yeah and and you're believing

00:57:17.080 like you're happy for that's that's something i think that's another reason why i think too

00:57:21.620 the universe works in your favor is because you are so genuinely happy for everyone and i think like

00:57:28.060 people in this industry especially that is so rare like being genuinely happy for your friends it is

00:57:33.380 so rare yeah and i feel like another advice i would have yeah somebody is get a friend that

00:57:41.160 actually you can call when a win happens yeah because i feel like i've never experienced this

00:57:46.580 because my friends are all very happy for me because i'm happy for them and i only surround

00:57:49.880 myself around people who are happy for each other but i will say i've watched my people who are in who

00:57:56.040 are in the business who i'm not as close with yeah like struggle with like they don't want to tell

00:58:01.320 their friends their wins you know what i mean and they they struggle with like actually like

00:58:05.060 saying that that something's good in their life yeah and i feel like you have to celebrate the

00:58:09.840 little things and who else should you call like you have to call your friends i call my mom every

00:58:13.860 minute of the day even like i'm like hey i filled up my gas it's a win but like i can't you you need a

00:58:20.020 friend like that yeah absolutely especially in this business because it's so isolating and for people

00:58:24.900 like us who are marginalized already in multiple ways it's like we need community more than anything

00:58:29.620 because it's already hard enough for us but that's why i think it's working in your favor and

00:58:34.140 you're and you're stacking up wins for yourself now because you've earned it but also because

00:58:38.260 you're always so happy for other people and i think it the universe rewards people like that because

00:58:43.020 it's genuine it is it's it's so genuine it's genuine to the point like auditioning for adults

00:58:48.620 there were all these other black gay guys who looked like me because that's like that was the

00:58:52.660 character and i literally at the end of at the end of the audition process i was like okay

00:58:58.040 if there's any beef between us let's squash it whoever gets this we should all be happy for i'm

00:59:03.300 like i go let's get drinks and suddenly we're all getting drinks we're all in a group chat oh

00:59:08.080 it's obviously awkward now i'm like i can't really answer that group chat but but no but it's like

00:59:12.520 it's wonderful it's like that's what we should all be you're so sweet you're like let's all hold

00:59:16.820 hands and pray for each other literally but by the way there's gonna be a role that someone else

00:59:21.040 gets and i wish i had gotten it but thank god they got it they got it for a certain reason like

00:59:24.980 yeah i'm not gonna get every role that person that other person who's my competitor isn't gonna

00:59:29.380 get every role like yeah there's so many there's place for all of us i agree and that's why that's

00:59:34.600 why i love you i feel like i sensed that about you the first time we met which is like i i feel the

00:59:39.960 same where i'm like i feel like there's more than enough room for us like we all bring something so

00:59:43.600 different so like i have no fear of lack so i like i feel like you operate an abundance mindset

00:59:49.480 totally so do i well i'm like if you win i win that's the other thing thank god like thank god

00:59:54.580 you're winning if you meet timothy chalamet i meet timothy chalamet right we all win in the end 0.72
