The Comment Section with Drew Afualo - TWO VIRGOS WITH A PB+J Ft. Lizzy McAlpine ｜ Episode 141

00:00:00.040 We I actually had an experience a couple years ago yeah at a fashion week event and they were like

00:00:06.500 okay like we're gonna take pictures in front of this thing and like one by one they went up and

00:00:09.840 I was like okay like I'll be next and then the photographer was like just walked away after the

00:00:13.300 two and I was like okay totally yeah thank you

00:00:19.040 hey everyone and welcome back to another episode of the comment section show starring me your fave

00:00:29.680 everybody knows me who cares about me on to the guests today we have the other half to my peanut

00:00:35.380 butter the one and only the iconic the legendary the incredibly talented Lizzie McAlpine

00:00:40.220 welcome to the show jelly look at us we're matching I love that for us no one ever wants to wear a

00:00:49.620 costume with me Lizzie thank you so much for joining me in the fun in the silly happy spooky season I'm

00:00:55.580 honored to have you thank you for having me oh my gosh I've been a huge fan of you forever all right

00:00:59.640 cards on the table fine since you asked your song ceilings was my number one song played last

00:01:04.740 year that's just me being honest okay I want to start the relationship honest I really appreciate

00:01:09.700 in a not weird way I want to start the relationship right right thanks oh my gosh yeah you're an icon

00:01:16.340 and a living legend I'm so happy to have you on the show thanks I'm so excited to be here oh my gosh

00:01:21.380 and I would love to educate more people the masses if you will on your lore I'm pretty familiar with it

00:01:27.080 but I know you started on tiktok or initially like kind of how you like started kind of putting

00:01:32.020 your your music out there but I would love to know like how you came to where you are now like what's

00:01:36.820 that journey been like for you well I went to berkeley college of music in boston oh nice um for two

00:01:45.100 years and then covet happened while I was there so I dropped out after two years and then I started

00:01:52.820 posting like covers on instagram and I was like targeting people I was like okay I want to cover

00:01:59.440 this artist so that they'll notice me and then it like usually worked so that's how I like was building

00:02:04.340 a fan base on instagram and then I put my first album out and then I started posting on tiktok

00:02:10.340 and then yeah it just kept going what was the song that really like would you say was like that was the

00:02:18.220 one that really took off for you on tiktok or just like in general just in general I guess was it

00:02:22.580 pancakes for dinner no there was a I wrote a song it is not released and it will never be released

00:02:27.680 um it's called you ruined the 1975 and I posted it on tiktok and it like really went super viral

00:02:35.880 randomly and I still get comments about it really like wait I didn't even know that she sang that song

00:02:41.220 it was like a pandemic thing yeah and uh yeah but then like I don't even know if pancakes for dinner

00:02:48.400 really had that big of a moment but then ceilings was like the big you're like your big big one the

00:02:53.160 big one well pancakes for dinner was for me then because I loved that song and I also this is another

00:02:59.480 fun fact for you about you but I I when I was writing my book I listened to one of your albums many

00:03:06.640 times it has angelina on it oh my god yeah I listened to the like acoustic live yeah I listened

00:03:12.860 to that oh my god because I like to listen to music when I write but I don't like to listen to music

00:03:16.800 I like to listen to music with lyrics like I know some people don't like that when they read and stuff

00:03:20.540 I do yeah but I needed like a nice like chill vibe so I listened to that one that's like kind of a deep 0.95

00:03:25.420 cut right look at me day one that's right and where the fuck were y'all at not where I'm at 0.91

00:03:30.880 that's for sure exactly exactly day one anyways I did want to tell you that when I listened to that 0.96

00:03:37.060 song it reminds me of writing my book because I listen to it a lot on a shuffle that's amazing

00:03:41.220 I love that get into it and you guys you guys are mad you're fucking mad because I'm a day one stan

00:03:47.040 sorry yep but I would love to know when it did happen for you like with ceilings like how did that

00:03:52.560 feel like after kind of just like were you gunning for that or were you kind of just I just want to put

00:03:57.000 my art out there and I had no idea I mean I had released five seconds flat like I think it was

00:04:04.580 like a at least a year maybe like at least like eight nine months after the album had come out

00:04:10.500 that ceilings like went viral yeah so like I wasn't expecting it it wasn't a single like it wasn't it was

00:04:15.980 just like kind of a deep cut of the album and I wasn't really expecting that one to be the one that

00:04:19.260 like went viral but it was insane I mean it was so cool and like yeah it really like opened so many

00:04:27.560 doors for me and like allowed me to be doing what I'm doing today it's like it's so insane yeah I love

00:04:33.900 that and I think too like also speaking of that the album that uh ceilings is on I think you should

00:04:39.560 apologize to everyone for your song doomsday specifically for the lyric that says the funny thing

00:04:44.620 is I would have married you if you had stuck around yeah I think you should apologize so sorry

00:04:48.820 everyone felt really hit by that and I'm so sorry I'm so sorry including my sister my sister

00:04:54.600 literally said in my in the dressing room she was like I felt personally attacked by that lyric and

00:04:59.120 I was like well oh my god well I'm sorry sorry she's not even listening but you know what I'll

00:05:05.300 accept it on her okay and everyone else's great great but you are really truly such a genius

00:05:10.600 lyricist I'd love how you write how does that process look for you do you typically wait to

00:05:15.600 feel inspired do you kind of like just jot things down as they come yeah it's usually like I can't

00:05:20.980 force it so if I try and sit down and write when I don't have like an idea or anything it's not gonna

00:05:26.640 happen yeah um so I just kind of have to wait and that means sometimes I go like a couple months

00:05:31.600 without without writing anything and it's very frustrating because sometimes I want to write a song

00:05:35.660 yeah but there's no inspiration so I like just have to be patient yeah it's not my strong suit

00:05:41.100 I'm honestly so jealous of you because I obviously your beautiful brain comes up with the lyrics but

00:05:46.560 also you're such a talented singer I can't sing for shit I can't sing at all really no not even a 0.96

00:05:52.400 little bit I mean I'm not tone deaf but like I tell people all the time I'm not tone deaf but I 0.94

00:05:56.040 can't sing like there's okay you know what I mean it's not it's not awful to hear it but it's not nice

00:06:01.040 like no one's gonna pay me for it right right my point like I always tell people if I could

00:06:06.100 develop a skill instantly it would definitely be singing I just have so much admiration for people

00:06:10.740 who can sing so well no amen and you're also so good at writing songs too shit leave some for the 0.89

00:06:16.120 rest of us sorry God only gave me funny that's all he gave me or they gave me I don't know how God 0.98

00:06:21.860 identifies but that's that's all they gave me was fucking funny but I would love to know how has it

00:06:27.400 been kind of melding the worlds of being like an artist but also being known for being on social 0.93

00:06:33.660 media like has it been a little difficult because you're kind of like I'm not a tiktoker I was like

00:06:38.520 I just one of my songs went big on tiktok so like how has that process been for you it's interesting I

00:06:44.780 try not to think about it too much and also I've kind of stopped posting a lot on tiktok like I used

00:06:51.080 to post way more I used to post like a lot of singing videos and now it's just like I just post what's

00:06:56.560 fun for me because I don't want to take it too seriously and also now it's like I dealt with

00:07:02.600 this a little bit at the beginning of my tour but I had ceilings like kind of towards the end but not

00:07:08.020 at the end and um after that song I was just watching people get up and walk out of the concert

00:07:14.300 and I was like okay because they were waiting for ceilings yeah and then they but that's why you put

00:07:18.580 it at the end then I moved it to be the literal last song so if they only paid to come see that one

00:07:25.060 song then they have to wait the whole show you're so me I would do that too I'd be like well guess

00:07:30.340 what you're gonna have to wait literally in fact I'll push it one more I'd be it'd be the encore

00:07:33.640 song you gotta you gotta make me go is it is the actual very last one yes you're so me yeah that's

00:07:39.980 so funny I'd do some petty shit like that too I'd be like well guess what you're gonna have to cheer

00:07:43.820 for me to come back and then you can hear something exactly and I don't and I don't blame you either I 0.51

00:07:48.100 feel like to I feel like that might be like the natural progression for a lot of artists where it's

00:07:51.840 like you want to keep growing and grow like past certain phases and past certain yeah uh like

00:07:58.100 songs that blew up initially yeah how has uh adjusting to fame been for you being public I mean

00:08:05.960 I don't consider myself like that famous like I just and I don't really like leave my house so I

00:08:13.300 don't have like any experiences but I feel that I have like a couple there have been a couple like

00:08:18.160 crazy moments where like I'll be at the airport like waiting for my bags and there's like five

00:08:24.780 men coming up to me with like stacks of pictures of me to sign and oh my gosh guys like I know what

00:08:31.060 you're doing sign for them yeah so they can go sell yeah that's crazy I saw that for the very first

00:08:37.280 time I'm not even kidding at LAX not too long ago yeah was it I forget who oh it was the dude from

00:08:42.900 walking dead I forget his name oh yeah um but what's what's the Asian guy's name from walking

00:08:47.940 dead Glenn yeah the guy who played Glenn yes yes yeah that's right he sat next to us on a plane yeah

00:08:55.960 and we're like oh that's cool whatever when we get off the plane there were literal literal full

00:09:01.340 grown men like standing there but they had like walking dead figurines and then headshots of him yeah

00:09:06.200 and they were like oh Stephen Stephen Stephen which like I remember my sister goes why did they have

00:09:11.100 so many and I was like I don't know maybe they're gonna go sell it that's exactly what they do and

00:09:15.000 it's like they think that I don't know what they're doing and I'm like they're like I'm a really big

00:09:18.400 fan he's a 50 year old man I'm like at least like pretend at least like try to act a little bit more

00:09:23.160 like it was like hey what's your name Lizzie that's right that's right literally can you sign these

00:09:28.260 and they're like rude too oh like I say no and they're like really like you can't just sign this

00:09:33.140 one thing and I'm like no sorry and then one time we're out there for us with my manager

00:09:37.060 Molly yeah and she was like no sorry like we don't do that and the guy literally turned to

00:09:40.920 her and was like I'm sorry I was talking to Lizzie and I was like I was talking to my favorite

00:09:45.460 artist of all time I was like we weren't like having a heart to heart like I'm sorry he's like

00:09:51.000 ma'am please don't interrupt we're having a really intimate conversation she and I what's your name 0.94

00:09:55.340 again crazy it's wild you know it's funny this is not at all the same because I am merely a dickhead

00:10:02.560 online but one time when I was in New York I was leaving a hotel um and I was going I was doing I

00:10:07.660 I did like a quick turnaround trip but like the hotel I was staying it just so happened

00:10:10.940 to have a bunch of famous people in it I think because there was some like time gala or something

00:10:15.380 I wasn't going to that yeah I can't stress that enough yeah I was not going to that but like I

00:10:19.380 just so happened to be in the same hotel and as I'm leaving there's like barricades on the side

00:10:23.180 and there's a bunch of fans like I think it's mostly just people like they see barricades they're

00:10:26.840 like oh someone famous yeah and then there's paparazzi and so we're walking out no one takes a picture

00:10:31.580 me obviously but then one guy he like like heard a girl say something to me and so he took a couple

00:10:37.540 pictures and then I got in the car I just said hi to her I got in the car as we're pulling off I see

00:10:42.420 him go up to that girl and he's like asking her hey who is this and I was like hey buddy like just

00:10:48.300 don't take the picture yeah like hey that's such a blow to my ego for no reason and I was like joke's 0.90

00:10:53.500 on you that picture's worth nothing good luck selling that one no one's gonna fucking buy it so good 0.95

00:10:59.180 luck but yeah they're really rude like people are weird yeah they get very invasive it's just 0.91

00:11:05.480 yeah and it's like maybe if if this was like a stranger like you would not be like following

00:11:11.440 them through the airport no shit huh I one guy like literally like was in the airport like past

00:11:17.440 security he would no ticket and I was like how did you get here like how did you even get back 0.91

00:11:23.420 like he's like well I guess I came to the airport for no reason it's scary yeah you did that that

00:11:29.220 does that would terrify me like and the first time it happened I was alone oh and I was like I don't

00:11:34.140 know how to say no to you oh did you stand there and sign them no no no no oh but I was like I'm

00:11:38.880 sorry like no no thank you like slowly walking away yeah I saw recently saw too like one of my

00:11:46.100 friends my friend Caleb he was talking about how like because we're like someone like myself and

00:11:51.080 like my friend Caleb are like such niche people on the internet it's like if you think it's me it's

00:11:55.740 probably me it's most likely me because there's not a lot of people who look like me yeah but then

00:11:59.760 at the same time it's like it doesn't I can't hide at all so like I can't wear a mask I can't

00:12:04.680 wear something like none of that shit matters because I'm just so visible I'm also very large

00:12:09.000 and so is my fiance so like there's really no hiding so even though I don't know if have you tried 0.82

00:12:13.480 hiding does that work I try to like do the mask sunglasses hood up but you know and I think it kind of

00:12:20.520 works but I only think I only remember about that like after the fact yeah after something that

00:12:25.620 happens okay like it's not worth it anymore I feel that yeah what's something what's like the coolest

00:12:31.760 thing that you feel like you've done since like getting like your art out there and having it be

00:12:36.760 platformed what would you say is like the most memorable thing you've done so many things oh gosh

00:12:42.880 I don't know probably like I mean on this tour we're playing we played like at the Greek oh that's

00:12:48.460 played at Red Rocks Red Rocks was I think Red Rocks was like a really I've never I've never

00:12:53.060 actually been there but the view looks insane I mean I had never been there either but it was like

00:12:57.020 so wild was it because to see it during the day is like one thing there's no people there but then

00:13:01.740 you like walk out on stage and there's it's like full yeah and it's like rocks on either side it was

00:13:07.140 beautiful really it was like really a bucket list moment for me so cool yeah who's someone that you're

00:13:12.600 really excited you got to collaborate with and who's someone that you are hoping you can eventually

00:13:17.660 oh my gosh um honestly I love that Niall asked me to be on his song period I wasn't really like a

00:13:28.640 One Direction fan when I was younger but I love but I mean I like love some of the songs I'm like

00:13:33.520 I go back to some of the I would like I would like buy like single songs on iTunes but I would never

00:13:41.420 like got into like full albums or I wasn't like going to the concerts but like obviously they're

00:13:45.220 iconic and um yeah he played that song we went to his show because I sang with him at his show which

00:13:51.420 was insane yeah and he played um the One Direction song what is it called night change night changes

00:13:57.100 yeah and I was saying every word I was like oh my god this is insane this is so sick you're all so

00:14:02.940 strange it was amazing and who's someone you're hoping you can collaborate with if you would oh my gosh

00:14:08.520 um every single artist has just like disappeared from my brain right now um oh my god I feel like

00:14:16.680 so many people what if I said dead or alive actually yeah yeah dead or alive dead or alive I mean oh god

00:14:22.600 I don't know I don't know I don't know any artists right now like why are they all leaving my brain

00:14:27.540 oh my god you're like um okay who else is in One Direction Harry Styles

00:14:31.400 maybe like maybe Joni Mitchell oh that'd be cool I mean that would be sick that's such a quirky 0.97

00:14:40.480 answer too I would have said something stupid I'm with you on that you were never a fangirl 0.57

00:14:45.120 were you ever a fangirl at all just in general not really really I was obsessed with like Dylan O'Brien

00:14:51.100 you're not I had like I had like actor crushes I was not like into musicians I was obsessed with

00:14:56.660 Dylan O'Brien in like middle school that was like a big Teen Wolf fan no no I don't what about

00:15:02.060 Maze Runner yeah Maze Runner that's where you got into it yeah yeah nice what Teen Wolf like I don't

00:15:08.840 even know if I want did I watch the Teen Wolf I watched the beginning of it but that was pretty

00:15:12.840 much I kind of fell off on that one yeah did you have any favorite shows do you have any favorite

00:15:16.580 shows that you like like series like that or anything currently or like when I was younger just

00:15:21.360 in general that you were a big fan of I mean I love Tana Montana Victorious iCarly what are the other

00:15:29.180 ones that's so funny you're like you you have no music fangirl crushes even though you're a musician

00:15:34.820 but you have a lot of actor ones I know I don't know why that's so funny honestly I what's your sign

00:15:41.940 I'm a Virgo me too oh my god I fucking knew it I can I just wait when's your birthday when's your 0.88

00:15:47.640 that shit on you September 18th oh nice mine's the 21st of September the 21st night of September 0.99

00:15:53.240 look at us we're literally days apart I know you and I are crazy literally peanut butter and jelly 1.00

00:15:59.040 I fucking knew you were a Virgo I had a feeling because you're so particular about things and 0.84

00:16:03.920 you're like no not really and I'm like that's a Virgo if I ever did any other dream actor crushes 0.98

00:16:11.180 besides Dylan O'Brien oh that was the big one growing up I can't I only remember that because

00:16:19.060 in sixth grade we did like a an art project and we had to like pick a photo of a famous person to

00:16:24.960 like draw and I picked him so I made like a huge photo of his face and I wish I still had it but I

00:16:30.300 don't think I do that's honestly really funny when I was I was a big Jonas Brother girl when I was like

00:16:36.560 younger how old are you 25 what I have to think about that I just turned 25 so I'm like I don't

00:16:41.560 know how old I am okay I'm 29 but like when I was I'm a million years older than you apparently

00:16:46.800 and TikTok years especially but um I feel like TikTok years are like dog years like when like

00:16:51.760 every year I have is is 17 of a normal person I don't know every time I talk to people they're like 0.98

00:16:56.100 damn when my birthday just passed I have never had more people in my life be like this bitch is 29 1.00

00:17:01.560 shit I thought you were like they were like damn like I'm gonna be in a retirement home soon oh my god 1.00

00:17:06.540 anyways I was a really big Jonas Brother fan as a girl and like when I was in eighth grade we had to 0.99

00:17:12.200 do that like home project where you have like a fake baby and shit oh yeah yeah like the flower baby 0.82

00:17:17.360 or whatever and I named mine after Nick Jonas like I named my baby after him and I was like and it's 0.54

00:17:23.720 funny because they had like fake marriages or like single parents in my class and like I had I was 0.63

00:17:27.620 married to a kid yeah and I was like well here's the tea on this um I'm gonna name it Nicholas

00:17:32.080 I don't know what you're thinking but that's what this baby's name that's so funny and he was just

00:17:37.480 kind of like okay yeah but yeah I was super into the Jonas Brothers and I did meet them like really

00:17:42.600 yeah I met them was that last year yeah last year I made content with them about Waffle House

00:17:48.300 love that because I went to see them on Broadway when they did like their little Broadway stint and so

00:17:54.720 like I took my sister and my agent Alex who was also a huge Jonas Brother fan like the three of us

00:18:00.280 we went and saw like their first couple albums which was like those just spoke to me oh sick oh my god

00:18:05.420 it was so fun it was a blast and like I did it with SeatGeek yeah and for my brand deal with SeatGeek

00:18:10.600 I used this video that my sister and I made as fans when I was in middle school to like try and win 0.62

00:18:17.020 tickets to their concert oh my god but my sister's a dumbass and doesn't know that the tri-state area 1.00

00:18:21.860 literally means three states on the east coast and we live in California and so she's like we 0.88

00:18:26.300 got disqualified um because we don't live in the tri-state area oh my god so we made that video

00:18:29.600 for nothing that being said I did use it iconic I used it in my brand deal with SeatGeek and then

00:18:34.760 the Jonas Brothers team reached out to me and they were like oh we saw you're a big fan do you want to

00:18:38.140 come make content I was like yeah you have to I mean like how are you gonna say no yeah I know for

00:18:44.460 real I was like I'm gonna need to do that for sure I just re-watched Camp Rock oh you did yeah it's

00:18:49.740 so bad it's so funny it's so funny it's I was I hadn't really watched it since I was like younger

00:18:56.920 and I was like what's going on here I know and the hair crazy the straightened hair great you're

00:19:03.880 out of your mind I know a flat iron hated to see Joe Jonas coming I know a heat protectant hated to 0.97

00:19:10.120 see that bitch coming yeah oh my gosh that is so funny but you were like not really a fan girl 1.00

00:19:16.040 that's crazy that's insane well let's transition into our topic so we're gonna unpack why some men 0.99

00:19:24.320 hold women to impossible perfectionist standards when it comes to dating and relationships 1.00

00:19:27.480 because obviously you have written many a song about dating and relationships yep how is it

00:19:33.280 writing songs when you pull from real life like is it is it do you find it to be therapeutic do you

00:19:37.400 find it oh yeah like it's like my journal entries it helps me like process things definitely oh I love

00:19:43.140 that yeah okay period do you ever have that feeling where like you write something and you're like oh

00:19:47.880 this is a little personal but then it's received so well that you're like well I guess it's out there

00:19:53.060 yeah I definitely have those moments but it's usually that stuff tends to be received really like better

00:20:00.620 yeah or not better but like people like when it's authentic authentic and just like I'm just being

00:20:07.220 open totally honest so yeah I love that well now we're gonna talk about that because you do detail 0.96

00:20:13.580 in many of your songs about like I guess shit man yep shit man shit man I do yeah okay so for this 0.99

00:20:23.500 first one okay let's see dude girl this bread's getting in my face she's all up in my grill okay 1.00

00:20:29.460 in this video a woman reposted in response to it and now deleted tiktok where a guy is warning other

00:20:35.180 men that quote when you're talking to a girl and she says she doesn't want children that's the

00:20:39.440 biggest red flag he goes on to say that this is the biggest red flag in the world because quote

00:20:45.440 she's living for herself more than she is for her future offspring in the world like the biggest red 1.00

00:20:51.700 flag in the world yeah like what about the world yeah what if I kill you then like what I feel like 0.99

00:20:57.360 that's worse like I feel like if I came to your house and I killed you that would be a lot worse 0.99

00:21:00.500 yeah than me telling you I don't think I want kids that's so crazy imagine dude there's their 0.99

00:21:06.780 their gift of hyperbole is insane I know the way that they're so like that's the worst thing you could

00:21:11.800 ever do that's so crazy do you ever get a hit on mine hate yeah for men I mean yeah who doesn't like 0.99

00:21:20.260 no shit men are just hateful yeah amen amen Lizzie you know what you're onto something with that 0.99

00:21:26.320 but this okay let's see this first comment says sorry but he's right women who don't want children 1.00

00:21:31.920 are not for dating I love when human men call children offspring like what are we fucking cows 0.98

00:21:39.240 like they're like well she sired three offspring so now we have enough milk for the rest of the 0.97

00:21:44.960 winter like what the fuck are we talking about yeah and I feel like like you said that's the biggest 0.98

00:21:49.640 red flag what would you say is your biggest red flag other than murder I mean that's a big one 0.98

00:21:56.060 that's up there yeah well that is up there and it's viable unfortunately yeah um I don't know

00:22:02.240 probably just like not listening yeah that's like huge isn't just something I've experienced so much

00:22:08.820 and just like just invalidating like just not not listening not understanding totally it's like

00:22:14.760 just use your ears it's crazy how that works huh it's crazy how like when you're like nice to people

00:22:20.140 and you ask questions and listen to the answers women tend to respond pretty well to that crazy 1.00

00:22:24.600 it's crazy how that fucking works yeah even like someone like obviously for me like my personal 0.99

00:22:30.660 niche I'm just swinging on awful men all the time and you would be shocked how many times like 0.99

00:22:36.320 they just automatically are like well see that's why you're fucking single I'm not single yeah and 0.98

00:22:40.740 then they're like well your man's probably ugly that's also not true and then they're like well 0.98

00:22:46.180 I'm sure you treat him poorly well just the goalposts keep moving don't they I find that to be

00:22:51.360 actually shocking that like they're like this is fine to say yeah I also don't think like

00:22:58.080 specifically men on the internet and also anyone on the internet but specifically men just feel like

00:23:04.160 they can say anything yeah they're just saying anything like maybe maybe you should keep that

00:23:09.320 to yourself like I don't know private thoughts like like let's bring back and it's like they're

00:23:14.220 behind a screen so they don't think that like exactly it's gonna be that big of a deal totally but

00:23:18.380 then we talk about them on the show so yeah there you go and then I pop in and all of a sudden it's

00:23:22.520 like oh okay like I've said that before I'm like when when they're like that's just my opinion

00:23:28.140 I'm like okay well you can say whatever you want that doesn't mean it's not gonna elicit a reaction

00:23:34.320 right that's the part that seems to shock them every time yeah every time it's like

00:23:38.020 I'm allowed to say whatever I want but you can't respond to me that's not cool so like recently I had

00:23:44.040 a guy uh make a whole he's talked about me a few times recently he commented on me getting engaged

00:23:49.420 and he was like he basically said that the only two viable reasons that I would get a ring like

00:23:55.440 this would be or in general uh would be that I'm lying about who I am and I'm actually probably

00:24:00.560 really subservient to my man oh my god this is just like a ruse and then the second one was that um

00:24:06.900 he's just with me for money so like he's like those are the only two possible ways that this could

00:24:12.020 have happened so I found that to be funny because those are that those are two insane things to say

00:24:17.500 just in general about someone you don't even know right but I I made fun of him on my like on my 0.97

00:24:23.120 Instagram story and I called him a stupid bitch because he is right and he made 11 videos about me 1.00

00:24:30.300 and then went live about me for three days straight and he kept saying that he was never disrespectful to 0.99

00:24:37.300 me but I was disrespectful to him and I was like they're just living in delusion like what's going

00:24:43.080 on I literally was like you said that my man only loved me for money and he's like that's my opinion 0.88

00:24:48.000 hey what the fuck are we talking about like hey what are we talking about what hey what are we 0.98

00:24:53.640 talking about and I even said I even like made fun of what he said because it's so stupid that it's 1.00

00:24:57.400 like genuinely so invalid it's not even funny yeah but I was like why is it always money that he's 0.98

00:25:02.420 with me what if he's with me for my body too like what if he's only with me for my body then what 1.00

00:25:07.500 what if he's using me for my incredible snatch then what like you guys are stupid you guys don't even 1.00

00:25:14.180 think and like I'm not even taking it seriously though I'm joking about that shit and he kept 1.00

00:25:18.020 saying over and over again like that's just my opinion that's so crazy I'm thinking you can have 0.98

00:25:22.820 an opinion on someone's personal life is actually kind of insane but you know that's okay yeah

00:25:28.000 like men like that exist and they walk amongst us can you believe that they can vote that's crazy

00:25:33.940 scary yeah that's upsetting that's terrifying have you ever had someone come back and ask you about

00:25:39.820 a song like hey did you write this about me um no because all the guys that I well most of the guys

00:25:48.800 that I write songs about like for example the my ex that I wrote my my most recent album about like

00:25:54.680 yeah he's also a songwriter oh and so like we used to like send songs about each other to

00:26:00.880 each other oh so it like wasn't that big of a deal and every time I write a song about him he's like

00:26:04.480 I'm honored I was like you should be you should be you're all thank you yeah that's crazy what a

00:26:12.940 healthy way to process though yeah seems healthy I think I think I mean maybe it's really not

00:26:18.620 maybe it's not no one's told me oh well correct me if I'm wrong okay this next comment says well

00:26:26.520 yeah he's right why would any guy want to have a relationship with a woman if they weren't gonna 0.50

00:26:29.960 have kids I mean in case he just like loves her right like just to have a partner in life

00:26:37.140 I think that's more than enough yeah for most for most people in relationships yeah uh and this

00:26:44.100 last one says she is not contributing to the community or society well interesting well that's

00:26:50.080 an interesting take yeah yeah not contributing anything at all literally at all if you're not

00:26:55.080 producing offspring like monkeys then there's no point right because that's the only thing that a

00:26:59.860 woman can offer to the world apparently yeah that's all we're worth at the end of the day 1.00

00:27:03.860 that's crazy I was like yeah you have someone who puts out art for a living but no for sure

00:27:07.640 for sure for sure I always joke about that too when they're like oh women whenever men like that 0.99

00:27:13.720 reduce women down to body parts and they're like oh the world would stop turning without men 1.00

00:27:18.120 people would probably stop dying too but that's besides the point um I was like even whenever

00:27:23.660 they reference that I'm like you have no idea what women have contributed for hundreds of thousands 0.98

00:27:29.200 of years because they never gave women credit for shit so like really how are we to know like you 0.97

00:27:34.360 could tell me that that was invented by man but I don't know if that's true yeah I wasn't there 0.98

00:27:39.560 right I was like and there's a lot of Albert Einstein like Albert Einstein's arithmetic there's

00:27:43.980 been like so many things coming out that his wife actually was responsible for most of it

00:27:47.560 and so like he's the only person people know because he put his name on everything because

00:27:52.140 they wouldn't take women seriously wow and I was like so that's actually it's actually insane it's

00:27:57.220 like the movie Hidden Figures like yeah those three women were responsible for getting us to space 1.00

00:28:01.300 but nobody ever heard about them until yeah when like five years ago so that's what I'm like

00:28:05.500 whenever men tell me that I'm like I don't know if that's true yeah I don't know and if a man told

00:28:11.700 you I don't believe him right okay let's look at this next video this one is this video is a

00:28:19.340 tiktok cut down from a man's podcast oh derogatory about relationships and communication oh double

00:28:26.000 derogatory the cutdowns captioned this is why most women are not wife material okay let's hear what he 0.57

00:28:32.380 he says I'm sure it's insightful any woman that doesn't appreciate a man or feels like they don't

00:28:37.620 need a man any woman who has uttered those words is not fit to be a wife and he says your role is not 0.97

00:28:44.420 to challenge your husband role huh are you casting a fucking play role your role is not to challenge 0.99

00:28:53.120 your husband your role is to produce offspring right that's your role that's so interesting yeah that he 0.99

00:29:01.380 has a platform like that and it's talking like that I know whenever men are like I should start 0.59

00:29:06.720 a podcast no you shouldn't no I promise whatever you're gonna say has already been said totally

00:29:12.600 they don't need to hear you add to it they really don't every time men are like I should start a 0.93

00:29:16.980 podcast that's the thought that's the shit that comes out of their head yeah and they're like I 0.99

00:29:20.700 can't believe nobody wants to listen to the things I have to say I'm like bro you're insufferable 0.99

00:29:26.540 that's probably why it's so crazy this is why most women are not okay he says any woman that

00:29:30.660 appreciate a man does not appreciate a man we'll see like those are two different things like when

00:29:35.400 they say you don't appreciate someone and you say you don't need them like those are two different

00:29:42.820 lines of thought I feel like you could say if someone doesn't feel appreciated that's like a

00:29:46.180 feeling but it's saying like oh I don't need a man I just want one what's so bad about that

00:29:50.340 nothing hey what's so bad about that what's the worst date you've ever been on oh my god that

00:29:59.340 thought just came to my head um let's see like one that stands out to you I'm trying to think

00:30:04.500 honestly like I haven't been on that many dates like but the ones you have been on have been good

00:30:11.380 I mean like for the most part I mean like I don't the thing is like I moved to LA like maybe three

00:30:19.420 years ago and I have gone on like from the dating apps like maybe five dates okay and maybe less

00:30:28.880 honestly like three yeah so there's not like a a high percent that percentage of like those that

00:30:35.860 are gonna be bad I feel it I'm trying to really think I don't know yeah some of my worst encounters

00:30:41.960 with men haven't really been dates necessarily they've kind of just been like interactions right yeah

00:30:47.640 like sometimes when they're like when you hate all men I'm like well I've never said that but even if

00:30:53.900 I did what are you gonna do about it and two that's on you but also I'm like I mean yeah like

00:30:59.860 have you ever hung out with one it's kind of easy to hate them like they kind of they kind of make it

00:31:04.460 kind of easy you know what I mean like when you hang out with too many cis straight men like at one 0.95

00:31:08.840 point or another yeah you start to develop a real disdain for them right because they're awful like

00:31:14.520 in so many ways like they're so awful in so many ways yeah I feel like if I'm thinking of like one

00:31:20.620 of the worst in our I've had some pretty bad I've had some stinkers because I used to work in sports

00:31:25.640 before I did this boy yeah so I worked in sports media so I had some pretty bad ones yeah one time I

00:31:30.760 was training a guy at work like training him like I was teaching him how to do his job that's

00:31:35.020 important okay yeah and like we we were hanging out at this point like at work for like two hours

00:31:41.340 at this point I like was going over everything like Virgo pine tooth comb over and over and over again

00:31:47.380 and then halfway through he goes you know you're a lot smarter than you look and I was like I was like

00:31:56.020 what and he goes you're like way smarter than you look like when I saw you I was like you know I

00:32:02.100 never would have thought that you would like know this much see like he could have just not said

00:32:07.280 yeah like anything at all like anything like you literally yeah you could have just like literally

00:32:11.840 never shared that with me what ever in a million years like I didn't need that crazy I guess he like

00:32:18.120 felt comfortable enough with you to be like I'm gonna share this this with you and it's gonna be

00:32:22.720 like what and he truly like he really thought like that was the nicest thing he could have ever said

00:32:32.220 to me that's so crazy he was like I just like want to let you know and I was like oh boy okay I was 0.98

00:32:38.680 like you thought I was you thought I was fucking stupid and he goes well no and I go well that's what 1.00

00:32:43.700 you just said and I go you thought I was fucking stupid even though I'm teaching you how to do your job 1.00

00:32:48.500 that's weird and then it was so painfully awkward and then we just didn't talk for like the next 1.00

00:32:55.000 hour damn that's tough I feel like sometimes the almost like the Incredible Hulk like I black out

00:33:02.960 a little bit like in moments like that yeah and then I just make it awkward for everyone 0.98

00:33:06.380 and I I feel bad about it but also like I feel like it's a necessary evil he you know he deserved it

00:33:11.560 yeah you know like have you encountered any rude celebrities you don't have to tell me names but

00:33:18.820 like I've had a couple rudies but not not too many but mostly weird so honestly mostly weird people 1.00

00:33:25.540 that's who I've encountered I don't think so no no I mean well that's good yeah that's really I feel

00:33:34.080 like kind of lucky that like all the all the people that I've met that I like look up to

00:33:37.680 thankfully I've been awesome are like super sweet I feel that way too the only rude encounters I've

00:33:42.080 had have been at like events and stuff but it's just been with randos yeah but I will say since

00:33:46.640 we were talking about the paparazzi they're honestly really rude like I've literally never

00:33:51.560 had an experience with them just people who take pictures at events oh at events like yeah like

00:33:56.100 carpets or or at like any sort of event with famous people yeah like I went to a fashion show

00:34:02.780 this past fashion week in New York and I loved it the show was awesome and there was um a big

00:34:08.880 like majestic looking tree in the middle of the room and so like um people are getting photographed

00:34:12.980 in front of it like by Getty whatever people and there was like I was going up to go take a picture

00:34:18.600 like my rep asked me to go up and take one and I was like yeah yeah so I was about to go and then

00:34:23.180 this girl kind of she just kind of stood in front of me and then she was dressed like a ballerina 1.00

00:34:26.900 like literally she had like pointe shoes on and everything and she started like dancing like she 0.99

00:34:30.560 started like doing like pirouettes and stuff and I was like I mean go ahead queen like she started

00:34:34.340 doing and I was like period queen like I was just hyping her because I didn't know who she was I

00:34:38.260 figured they were going to take pictures but nobody was taking a picture of her and someone was just

00:34:41.860 recording like I think a friend yeah and one of the photographers goes hey go do that over there 0.99

00:34:47.940 take that shit and go over there oh my god holy shit and she was like oh okay she just left 1.00

00:34:54.740 and he goes go on you can go in front now and then I'm uncomfortable because I'm like yeah I just 1.00

00:35:00.060 watched you yell at that girl holy shit anyways go ahead yeah no go ahead good wait I actually had 0.97

00:35:05.000 an experience a couple years ago yeah at a fashion week event which I like Ontario the wait is over 0.99

00:36:09.420 details please play responsibly this was a couple years ago so it was like not I was not anyone who anyone

00:36:15.000 cared about and I was with my like more famous friends at the time yeah and they were like okay

00:36:21.120 like we're gonna take pictures in front of this thing so like one by one I was with two of my friends

00:36:24.620 and like one by one they went up and I was like okay like I'll be next and then the photographer was

00:36:28.320 like just walked away after the two and I was like okay yeah thank you you know it's so funny Lizzie I have 0.72

00:36:37.500 multiple stories like that you and you wouldn't believe and honestly they'll never give a fuck about me 0.73

00:36:42.060 because I'm just a dickhead online and you know when they my carpet call times are at 12 noon like 0.92

00:36:46.680 everyone normally comes at 6 p.m that's a fun fact for y'all when they make you come before when the

00:36:51.080 sun is still up um you don't mean anything um they might give me a tray and tell me to wait tables after

00:36:55.760 but they I remember one time I went to something and I was like I had just gotten there but principal

00:37:03.000 talent had already started walking so like after that I could drop dead in front of them and they don't

00:37:07.460 give a fuck right so like I was still very new at the times it was like a couple years ago and so 0.79

00:37:12.500 I still walked obviously my publicist was like oh no no you can still walk and then there's only 0.99

00:37:17.080 two photographers it's a really small carpet it's like not big at all there's only fucking two 0.96

00:37:22.940 I go I walk up the first guy holds up the camera and he goes 0.99

00:37:26.700 oh I go wait what like he like dead ass like looked me in the eyes and goes 0.98

00:37:36.080 wait that's so shocking yeah shocking oh yeah that's how they treat uh people like me at those 0.99

00:37:45.140 carpets like holy shit I was like oh love that no for sure um I'm gonna talk about that in therapy but 0.88

00:37:52.280 I remember like it was one guy and he was the main one and then there was one girl and so the girl 0.94

00:37:57.880 she just knew who I was because she follows me yeah and she was like oh I'll take I want to take

00:38:02.520 a picture of you like and I was like okay and she took a picture of me and then the other guy was like

00:38:07.780 all right and then he took one singular photo of me and get this that's one of the worst getty photos

00:38:14.800 I've ever taken and get this when you google my name there's the picture that shows up this is not

00:38:22.240 a joke the picture that shows up the very first one on google is a fat head of just my head from

00:38:27.740 that night no way the way that there's so many other pictures of me that I look a lot better

00:38:34.660 and the one the first picture that pops up is a fat head a literal fat head that someone made it's

00:38:40.700 like a cardboard cutout but like just my head and I don't know who made it but if I find you I'm 0.99

00:38:47.220 gonna beat the shit out of you if you that's a threat that's an open one oh my god holy shit so 0.98

00:38:53.480 I was like I love how that story not only follows me because it scarred me but also because it's on 0.99

00:38:58.780 my google page right wow sometimes those carpets are intimidating though they're good they can be

00:39:05.180 very overwhelming me I get so nervous before and then like yeah I don't I kind of black out I don't

00:39:10.680 I never know what to do with my hands yeah the hands is a big one I know especially if you have

00:39:15.680 really uncomfortable outfit on or shoes or something like that yeah what's the most intimidating carpet

00:39:20.020 you've ever walked I don't do it a lot because I don't like it that much um but I feel like the

00:39:26.740 first time I think the first time I walked a carpet it was at the Spotify best new artist party last year

00:39:33.900 yeah nice and it was terrifying I mean I was just like I'd never done it before and no one was like

00:39:40.520 telling me what to do so I was like carpet ever I think so yeah that's crazy you're so famous that's

00:39:46.660 crazy I think maybe I'm remembering I don't know like a time is weird and I don't remember anything

00:39:52.840 that's ever happened to me yeah but I think that was my first one yeah yeah and it's really

00:39:56.620 overwhelming it's just like everyone is just splashing in your face and I'm like what and

00:40:02.200 they're like okay move over yeah they like want you to like rotate like a rotisserie chicken

00:40:06.540 I think the the hardest one I've ever like the most intimidating one I've ever walked was the

00:40:10.680 Oscars carpet oh god yeah which again I walked at 12 noon obviously um way before anyone important

00:40:16.580 and then they also like didn't even take the plastic off the carpet when I walked which is 0.82

00:40:20.920 hilarious like they were like that's that bitch isn't stepping on the nice carpet um so I was like 1.00

00:40:26.220 walking like shuffling on like it's almost like trash bag material which is insane and like they 0.94

00:40:33.060 take pictures from every single angle like I saw pictures of like my four like like super close

00:40:39.080 like super tight on my face like almost like cutting my forehead off I saw some of my hands I saw some of

00:40:43.700 my feet I saw some from the sides so weird I know it's horrifying I've never been like a big one like

00:40:49.040 that I and I've never I haven't like been to the Grammys or anything like that yet really yeah you're

00:40:55.360 just like my thing is that I want to go only if I'm nominated for something just like I don't know

00:41:04.180 it's so you have to like pay to go like even if that you're like invited you still have to pay and

00:41:09.580 it's like oh to sit at the table and everything yeah like I don't need to do that you know it's

00:41:13.940 okay like it's okay I'll I'll be okay I like to watch I like to like see the same all the outfits

00:41:19.280 yeah but I don't need to go until there's a reason to go you know t that's the Virgo in you

00:41:24.140 yeah I feel like that's such a Virgo thing last year or was it last year no it was this year I

00:41:29.320 went to a Grammy party I went to the Stephen Tyler one after party too yeah I went I went to the Stephen

00:41:34.060 Tyler one which was really cool but I remember it was a horrifying experience in a lot of ways

00:41:39.080 because I was sitting at the table and uh there was a guy at the table who I did not know but like

00:41:45.480 clearly he's somebody I just I don't know who he is and um he was getting like increasingly more

00:41:50.500 drunk like as the night you know open bar and like that many egos in one room is dangerous yeah

00:41:54.920 it gets crazy at times and so like he's like getting more drunk more drunk and there's like

00:41:59.920 a girl sitting next to him like it's like me her and then him yeah and the girl next to him like he

00:42:05.260 clearly likes that girl like he clearly he wants to hook up with this girl and she's not biting 0.98

00:42:09.200 like at all like she's just like like the whole night like closed tight lip smiles the whole fucking 0.95

00:42:14.840 night and I'm just ignoring him because me and my fiancee are sitting there together and like 0.50

00:42:19.820 at one point we eat our dinner like they bring the food or whatever and then he wolfs his down in 10

00:42:27.440 seconds because he's starving because I'm assuming because he's drunk and then he's like I need more 0.58

00:42:31.240 I need fucking more food like he's like telling me later hey give me some more like he's being really 0.90

00:42:35.060 rude to waitstaff everyone and then after probably like five or ten minutes after that I'm like facing 0.99

00:42:41.380 this way because and my fiancee's face like looking back at me like this and he like reaches across my

00:42:46.620 plate and like grab something and I turn and look and that guy was trying to eat the food off my 0.98

00:42:51.480 fucking plate I'm so dead serious like with his fork he's putting it in my chicken so cough in my mouth 0.99

00:42:59.840 why don't you and then he's like he's mushing up like my fucking food and he's trying to eat it he's 0.99

00:43:05.180 like leaning over two people what yeah what that's so weird that's so that's so weird and and where 0.99

00:43:11.200 we're at dog what is the fucking matter with you like that's so crazy I I truly was like I'm like 0.99

00:43:17.840 zoe deschanel is hosting and you're doing this shit like this is crazy that's so wild and my my fiancee 1.00

00:43:23.260 was like what are you doing that's not yours like he's a child and then he was like oh I thought we 0.99

00:43:29.500 fucking knew her he's talking to that girl he's not addressing me or my fiancee and he's like I 0.96

00:43:34.780 that we fucking knew her do we not fucking know her and that girl's not even saying anything 1.00

00:43:39.500 because she's so humiliated so my fiancee goes like well we don't know you so don't fucking do that 1.00

00:43:45.600 again and he like period like puts his fork back on his plate and then he was so it was so awkward 0.98

00:43:50.740 and so uncomfortable and like when we left my my fiancee was like you're really fucking embarrassing by 0.99

00:43:56.120 the way and he never apologized to me that's so weird yeah it's so rude and people are strange at 0.95

00:44:01.460 those things they are they get very men are weird when they get drunk don't I fucking know it don't 0.99

00:44:07.700 I fucking know it and especially when they have egos that big too it's like oh my god it's a fucking 0.98

00:44:12.140 perfect storm okay let's go back to these comments this one says her role is also not to ever try to 0.99

00:44:18.180 define a man either she needs to stay in her lane and out of his try to define a man like what does that

00:44:24.220 even mean I don't know that's why I'm like like what are they even talking about you guys don't even

00:44:29.220 need us for this conversation go circle jerk each other I don't care what is going on I don't know 0.97

00:44:34.780 they're fucking insane I feel like like you said they just say things right like we're just saying 0.99

00:44:39.620 shit at this point I could say anything at this point I could just say anything at all and I'd be 0.99

00:44:43.760 like I don't know I saw it somewhere so it has to be true Jesus and this next one says it seems that 0.98

00:44:48.800 women are the ones saying they don't need a man I don't see men stating they don't need a woman 0.99

00:44:52.720 I think these women do it as a flex of their independence that's some toxic shit oh okay 1.00

00:45:00.540 that's so toxic to be independent right like what so toxic to think for yourself that's honestly sad 0.99

00:45:07.140 that men need women like you can't be by yourself and they're like that must be men are saying they 1.00

00:45:13.500 don't need women I'm all they say that shit all the time what are you talking about they're always 1.00

00:45:17.840 like keep it up and we're not gonna marry you okay god don't threaten me with a good time shit 1.00

00:45:23.900 that's why I think like who cares hey who cares people are dying I don't give a fuck like what 1.00

00:45:29.960 are you talking about I know I agree with you that's it's so toxic to think for yourself Lizzie 0.97

00:45:35.300 don't ever think for yourself that's okay I won't ever okay this says since they feel that way

00:45:42.640 they can live in a desert without resources see what see how quick they will sober up what

00:45:48.680 huh I think they're saying what okay he's saying the way I have to like

00:45:54.260 I think he's saying since women are so confident that they don't need men

00:46:00.440 if you put them in the desert without resources see how quickly they figure out that they need a man 0.99

00:46:06.340 what's he gonna do right like what the fuck we have no resources we're gonna starve in the desert 1.00

00:46:11.280 we're both gonna die we'll just die side by side like what the fuck I did you ever see that shit 1.00

00:46:17.980 on tiktok when they're like oh uh men she clocked out that's okay her her master is gone 1.00

00:46:24.220 that's why that's fucking spider did you ever see that thing on tiktok when men were getting mad 0.95

00:46:28.740 because someone interviewed women and they asked like would you rather be stuck in the woods with 0.99

00:46:33.360 a bear oh yeah oh yeah and you saw a man got very offended by that yeah like you'd rather die

00:46:39.120 I'm gonna die either way at least if a bear kills me once I'm dead I'm dead right I don't know what 0.99

00:46:43.700 the fuck you're gonna do after I die like and what you're gonna do before that you know what I'm 0.99

00:46:47.480 saying right so I I made a video about it once but I was like because then a man countered that by 1.00

00:46:53.980 saying like would you rather be stuck in the desert with a woman or a dog and then was only asking men

00:46:59.680 and the men were like a dog a woman would slow me down like women don't know how to survive blah blah 1.00

00:47:04.840 the way that men like that think they're bear grills is crazy to me you wouldn't survive you

00:47:10.680 wouldn't survive either girl and men are so like men like that are so proud that they like they would

00:47:15.620 die and die quickly because you're unwilling to like put it down for even a second totally I was

00:47:20.440 like have you ever that's not true at all like men who said I would survive in the desert just like 0.92

00:47:24.540 this comment I literally said they think they're like Stanley Yelnats like they would just off sheer

00:47:30.340 grit and perseverance they would survive off the a generational curse from Madame Cerrone is how

00:47:35.280 they would survive that's not you like that would not be you you would die so quickly in the desert

00:47:40.500 it's not even funny I would too but like I'm not walking around telling people right like I don't

00:47:45.380 think that I would survive I'm being realistic I'm being honest okay I would die and by my own hand

00:47:52.180 because I'm not gonna die slowly right so like I I would I would go out on my terms that's what I'm

00:47:57.060 doing but I like when I was like have you ever asked a misogynistic man for directions like like 0.96

00:48:03.140 when they get lost yeah you're not surviving in the desert like you're not fucking doing that you 0.91

00:48:08.200 can't they can't even like give their dad a hug like you're not gonna survive in the desert what 0.99

00:48:13.520 the fuck you got so many demons it's not even funny starvation and thirst is the least of your 0.99

00:48:18.680 worries yep do you think you would survive in a zombie apocalypse I think about this all the time 1.00

00:48:23.680 I ask every guest this that's so funny I think about this all the time because I love like

00:48:27.860 apocalypse movies movies tv shows books like my favorite author Stephen King I read all of his

00:48:34.140 interesting he writes a lot about that stuff and I think about it all the time I feel like

00:48:38.880 I could probably survive for like a a couple days maybe a week I'd like to think that I would be able

00:48:46.420 to survive because I've read so many I've just consumed so much media about it that I like

00:48:51.780 feel like I would know what to do now t but also I could be dead in the first hour you know like 1.00

00:48:58.080 like I really don't know until it happens you're so agnostic about it you're such a fucking Virgo 0.96

00:49:03.520 it's crazy to me you're like but also at the same time because you got to be right no matter what 0.96

00:49:07.520 I'm with you on that I'm with you on that that's so funny you love you love end of the world stuff

00:49:12.400 yeah do you like horror yeah horror fan yeah yeah what's your favorite horror movie okay see I only

00:49:18.440 really read horror books okay what's your favorite book then I mean the stand by Stephen King is

00:49:23.580 literally about like a um a disease that kills like 99% of the population and I read it when

00:49:30.100 COVID was happening and I was like oh this might be a little too close to home like oh actually I'm

00:49:34.360 scared now yeah all of his books are so good that's cool yeah what's the scariest movie you've ever

00:49:39.860 watched oh gosh I feel like um oh what's that movie called do you watch horror movies like if I

00:49:47.400 describe this movie would you know what I'm talking about maybe it's about this guy who like

00:49:51.220 they like he's a writer and he moves his family into this house where this murder happened but he

00:49:55.420 doesn't tell his family that it happened there and then he finds like these videotapes in the attic

00:49:59.300 oh is it insidious is that insidious what it's called wait no what's the one oh no wait what's

00:50:03.500 the one what is it called oh my god sinister yes sinister that's what it is it's the one with the

00:50:08.720 thing on the eye that's what the movie poster looks like look it up I'm telling the truth

00:50:13.780 that movie she goes I don't know anything about that but that's the movie

00:50:16.280 is it scary I've never watched that one it was I hate yeah no I don't like it the scariest one

00:50:23.980 I've ever watched I think is uh hereditary oh I tried to watch that and then I said no yeah 0.92

00:50:29.540 get get into this Lizzie I saw it in the fucking theaters and that was my sister's fault because 1.00

00:50:34.260 she's an A24 whore which I get I mean I love A24 me too but she was she convinced us to go watch 1.00

00:50:40.460 it she was like no let's go watch it it's supposed to be really good and I was like is it scary 0.94

00:50:43.380 though because it sounds kind of scary she's like no it's not that bad I I'm not even kidding

00:50:48.300 like after and if you haven't seen it by now have you watched do you know I know everything you know

00:50:53.000 what happens okay okay don't get mad at me but this is a spoiler the movie's like eight years old

00:50:56.980 the right after the the daughter gets beheaded and then he's just like sitting in horror for

00:51:02.660 like however it felt like 40 minutes and then when he drives home like that entire sequence when 0.98

00:51:07.380 he drives home and he goes in the car it's like all slow and shit I told my sister I go 0.94

00:51:11.640 how much longer is this movie I am not gonna make it like I felt I felt like I was gonna have a heart 0.95

00:51:16.300 attack I was so fucking afraid when I went home I can't imagine seeing it in the theater not being

00:51:22.600 able to stop it and walk away like not being able to leave I feel like it's just happening to me 0.91

00:51:27.800 and I can't stop no it was horrifying I stayed up for hours you know I watched like a thousand happy

00:51:33.580 things and nothing was fixing it and I had I was so scared of that movie for like a week wait I just

00:51:39.240 remembered a movie that I watched that's not technically a horror movie it's called eye

00:51:42.100 origins okay you don't know the movie no okay well my ex made me watch it with him because it's

00:51:48.220 like his favorite movie apparently okay and well that's a little concerning and he didn't like like

00:51:52.480 really tell me anything about it but he was like it's the best movie ever and I was like okay sure

00:51:55.920 and we were watching it and it was like fine and cool and then there's an elevator scene and

00:52:00.260 they're in the elevator and the elevator gets stuck and the platform is like up here so he like

00:52:04.460 climbs up yeah and then he's like pulling her up and then the elevator falls and it chops him in

00:52:10.760 half yeah and I was like you couldn't have warned me about this I had to we had to pause the movie I

00:52:15.960 was like having a panic attack I was like you're so I was like I can't do this like why did you make

00:52:20.660 me watch this I don't think I could finish it yeah dude I yeah there haven't been many I wonder if

00:52:26.280 there have been movies I feel like there's been a movie I've watched where I'm like I bailed like

00:52:30.120 halfway I'm like I can't do it I can't do it like it affected me physically I was like it was I was

00:52:36.200 not okay I feel that it's like it stays with you oh god yeah I know I feel like yeah there's not

00:52:43.740 many movies that's how I feel about hereditary I feel like it stayed with me for fucking ever I like 0.85

00:52:47.700 I have not been able and I haven't been able to watch it since like yeah sometimes when people

00:52:52.040 tell me like oh my comfort movies are movies like and they tell me a horror movie like that I'm like

00:52:56.520 what side okay not for sure I'm a little afraid of you I love your idea about the zombie apocalypse

00:53:07.320 like you're like maybe maybe not because I feel like I guess we'll have to wait and see I know I

00:53:12.040 mean like I yeah I don't know I feel like I I know enough yeah by reading all these things about it

00:53:18.360 that I could probably do it I feel you my fiance's like convinced he would survive I I think he would too

00:53:24.240 sure um I just feel like I don't have any desire to right I don't know that's also a factor yeah

00:53:32.260 like I think about like a quiet place right and I'm like I don't want to live in the aftermath of

00:53:37.660 that yeah when my phone dies I will it's over yeah yeah like I'm done like when my phone dies when

00:53:44.100 my kindle dies I'm out like there's really no there's really no need for me to be here anymore

00:53:49.420 no electricity to charge my phone no need to be here yeah I also like don't have a skill that

00:53:53.600 could be useful in a post-apocalyptic world yeah you know like I'm not like an electrician or like

00:54:00.200 an engineer or something like I can't like get the water to I can't you know I can't do anything like 0.88

00:54:05.700 important you would be like play piano for you guys girl you would be like what's that fucking 0.99

00:54:10.840 what's her name what's Rachel Ziegler's name in the new hunger games Lucy Gray you'd be like her 0.99

00:54:15.320 that would be you and I would be a bitch who dies early because I'm annoying they'd be like 1.00

00:54:22.120 kill her she's annoying you'd be Lucy Gray okay great beloved I'll take that I'll take that oh my god 1.00

00:54:28.600 that's so tea okay yeah you should be her for Halloween oh my god yes you should be her for 0.98

00:54:33.620 Halloween love that I love Rachel too I've met her one time one time same yeah she's really she

00:54:39.920 was really sweet she's so great her and her boyfriend are really sweet yeah um but they I also

00:54:44.060 beat them in uno so oh yeah I beat the shit out of them in uno so take that Rachel Ziegler just

00:54:52.600 kidding love you girl um anyways you should definitely be Lucy Gray for Halloween that would 1.00

00:54:57.780 be that would be sick yeah so technically you do have a skill that would be beloved I guess yeah I

00:55:03.200 don't they'd be like that's the best you can I said best I can do is jokes I mean you guys have

00:55:09.080 any men you hate some humor yeah you know it can't all be sadness I know I was like you guys

00:55:15.940 need a jester I'll do that yeah I'll be that for you okay just uh we'll close us out um I'm like

00:55:24.920 speaking of horror let's ask an advice question um but I am very curious first off I want to tell you

00:55:30.540 I think you're an incredible artist I really do and as and as I have already disclosed I've been a

00:55:36.540 very big fan for a while of your music but I can't wait to see where you go like I just I see nothing

00:55:42.160 but the sky's the limit for you thanks but I am very curious if you could give any advice to any

00:55:48.980 aspiring whether it's like songwriters producers or you know singers artists in general um who are

00:55:55.840 maybe trying to make it now or maybe they're trying to platform their music through social media and

00:55:59.740 obviously that was a huge catalyst for you too other than your talent obviously uh what would you say is

00:56:05.560 your best piece of advice for them I usually always say the same thing because it just feels

00:56:10.020 like it really resonates with me always just be yourself yeah because as as cliche as it is it's

00:56:17.620 like there's only one of you yeah and that's what's gonna make you stand out and there's no point in

00:56:24.080 like trying to mimic other people or like what works for other people yeah like what works for other

00:56:29.720 people definitely may not work for you and it's like I learned that the hard way by doing what I

00:56:36.940 thought other people should do yeah and then realizing that that wasn't me and that I should

00:56:42.020 be doing what feels right to me and and yeah just like being yourself is it's what's gonna make you stand

00:56:47.780 out love yeah period jelly oh one final advice question what advice do you have for songwriters

00:56:55.740 specifically if they're experiencing you know writer's block or maybe they're lacking inspiration

00:57:00.740 but they want to be able to write like how you write or in the same vein right as intimate like what

00:57:05.860 would you say is your best piece of advice for them I think just what works for me is giving it time

00:57:13.120 and space for the inspiration to come I'm not forcing it and also just like listening to artists

00:57:19.680 who really inspire you yeah and like I've been listening to a lot of Joni Mitchell recently and

00:57:25.160 it's like that's really been heavily influencing my writing and it's like it's gotten me out of a
