The Crusty Canuck Podcast - Ep#199 No more Gas Stoves？ Whats Next？

00:00:00.980 Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. It's a beautiful 17th of January, 2023.

00:00:06.240 Coming up in this episode of the Christy Neck Podcast, no more gas stoves.

00:00:09.900 What's next? Yes, a bit of an investigation in the Americans and some of them,

00:00:14.540 how they want to get rid of your gas stove. That's right.

00:00:18.160 Apparently, it's causing some breathing issues with small children.

00:00:22.680 More or less, it's just a conspiracy to get rid of your gas items and to start using more wood.

00:00:28.700 Well, no, time will tell. Anyway, I'll tell you more in the episode.

00:00:31.520 Listener of your discretion is advised, I do swear, and they smoke cigarettes.

00:00:36.180 See you in a bit.

00:00:40.360 Get it, sweetheart.

00:00:42.620 Because I am hard, you will not like me.

00:00:45.360 Yes, sir.

00:00:49.000 There is no racial bigotry here.

00:00:53.600 There you are always will be working.

00:00:55.580 From Western Canada, this is the Christy Neck Podcast, a Canadian veteran's point of view.

00:01:04.420 On political, social, economic issues, and life.

00:01:08.560 Here's Christy. 0.83

00:01:12.080 That's right, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to another episode. 0.93

00:01:14.140 The first one of 2023 Christy Neck Podcast, episode 199.

00:01:17.960 No more gas stoves.

00:01:19.560 That's right. I'm your host, Christy Neck.

00:01:21.060 Sorry for being so tardy, ladies and gentlemen, without keeping you all posted the past little while.

00:01:26.220 I have had one hell of a work schedule.

00:01:28.680 Oh, my God.

00:01:29.400 Working pretty hard, getting this on the go, getting that on the go, trying to save some money so I can get my life in order, ladies and gentlemen.

00:01:35.680 But because of you, my wonderful audience, you stick by me all this wonderful time.

00:01:39.220 And please give yourselves a round of applause.

00:01:41.740 Because you guys are awesome out there.

00:01:43.260 All of my subscribers, thank you, and internet land, and YouTube land, and rubble land, and all that stuff, too.

00:01:48.060 And this podcast is also brought to you by Gary.

00:01:51.500 That's right, ladies and gentlemen.

00:01:52.540 Gary, getting down to business with those pants and those trucks in the background.

00:01:56.800 That's right, ladies. 1.00

00:01:57.940 Getting down to business with Gary.

00:02:00.000 Yeah.

00:02:00.460 All right.

00:02:01.860 That's right, ladies and gentlemen.

00:02:03.960 Anyway, carrying on with this episode of the Christy Neck Podcast.

00:02:07.880 199.

00:02:08.680 That's right.

00:02:10.300 No more gas stoves.

00:02:11.200 What's next?

00:02:11.840 Now, here's an article that I found in National Post and commentary brought to you by Energy Now, too.

00:02:17.740 And I'll just put this on the page here for you as all, for you as to watch.

00:02:21.300 And later on in the episode, we'll be talking about Justin Trudeau and some of his bailout conditions that have been plaguing this society for a long time now.

00:02:28.840 We're seeing criminals get off scot-free on some really stupid crimes, you know, gun crime, and out there on bail and causing more crimes.

00:02:37.380 So, what I will do is I will get this article squared up for you there, ladies and gentlemen. 0.86

00:02:46.180 And I hope you read along with me there, too.

00:02:48.480 Basically, in regards to banning the gas stove.

00:02:52.740 Now, there's speculation in the United States in regards to that.

00:02:57.320 We've caught wind of it here briefly.

00:02:59.060 But, yeah, I'll read some of this article.

00:03:03.360 I'll give you the link in my description for you to follow, too.

00:03:07.060 The sub-headline is,

00:03:07.940 For a bizarre few days this week, U.S. political discourse was seized by the very real possibility that the American government was coming for the public's gas stoves.

00:03:16.240 After a new study claimed that as of many as 12% of childhood asthma cases could be linked to pollution from gas ranges,

00:03:23.560 the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that, quote, unquote, any option was on the table to sanction the stoves.

00:03:31.920 A few days later, the agency walked back to this statement.

00:03:34.600 So, it's kind of hard to see here any kind of legitimacy in this, like just wanting to ban these stoves.

00:03:47.040 Now, I put it in the title for a very good reason because they've been trying to ban guns.

00:03:51.240 They've banned plastic bags in some retail outlets.

00:03:54.560 They've also banned free speech.

00:03:58.040 So, what else is coming here?

00:04:00.040 I'll leave this link in my description for you to read along by your own means there, ladies and gentlemen. 0.90

00:04:07.680 But I'm no longer going to tolerate any of this garbage here.

00:04:12.380 Gas stoves are efficient and sufficient. 0.65

00:04:15.380 They do use less energy than electric stoves.

00:04:17.780 I've heard of gas dryers.

00:04:20.400 I've heard of gas washers that have made it easier on the electrical grid, especially in places like California and densely populated subtropical areas where they have brownouts and blackouts.

00:04:33.160 And I remember as a kid when we talked about gas stoves in high school, right, because they had pipe fitting understanding.

00:04:41.180 They had lessons in pipe fitting and stuff like that.

00:04:43.340 And how efficient a natural gas stove is compared to your typical electric stove.

00:04:48.660 Now, you can cook either or.

00:04:50.620 Now, if you know how to cook, by all means.

00:04:52.700 But you talk to any chef, okay, you talk to any restaurateur, any chef or any head cook in any major kitchen, and they will swear to whatever gods that are in the oven in regards to what they can do with a gas stove, okay?

00:05:08.700 When you barbecue, you use gas to make those steaks and burgers taste ever so fantastic, okay?

00:05:16.500 And I've actually cooked steaks on wood fire, too, and charcoal fire, and it's beautiful, beautiful, ladies and gentlemen, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

00:05:25.760 So when someone says to me, gas is bad, we have to stop it, what's the substitute?

00:05:30.880 Oh, of course, they'll say electricity or wind power or solar power.

00:05:35.540 Kind of like the junk they're trying to promote in Davos right now at the World Economic Forum, right? 0.75

00:05:40.260 I did have some video lined up for this episode in regards to the buffoonery that was presented to us from these clowns at the World Economic Forum who think they know what's best for you and me because they make lots of money and they can talk it away and say it for any day. 0.98

00:05:56.600 Well, us peons have to struggle, but we're not going to be peed on anymore. 0.95

00:06:00.820 We're going to start peeing back.

00:06:02.620 And I'll save that for another episode, ladies and gentlemen. 0.62

00:06:04.620 But as I go further into this rabbit hole of total, how do you say, pardon my expression, fuckery, these are what some of the experts have said in regards against the gas stove debacle.

00:06:23.700 You know, people who are against it, who don't want people like you and me to use them under any circumstance, all in the name of the environment.

00:06:30.360 You know, here's a nice article that's really self-explanatory in the name of using a gas stove, ladies and gentlemen.

00:06:40.300 I'll just cue this up here a bit better for you.

00:06:42.720 There we go.

00:06:44.840 Okay, and I'll leave this link in my description too for you, my wonderful audience, to follow and read at your leisure, Sue.

00:06:52.240 And this comes from the people at energynow.com.

00:06:55.600 So, they're a joint Canadian and American media page or media site in regards to energy in this country or in this continent.

00:07:04.840 And I'll read along for you.

00:07:07.300 Commentary calls to ban gas stoves are anti-science, anti-freedom, anti-energy, said Alex Epstein.

00:07:12.560 And he's a writer.

00:07:13.880 He wrote a pretty good book.

00:07:15.700 I'll leave a link to his work too.

00:07:18.060 In my description, ladies and gentlemen, for you to follow.

00:07:20.080 He's pro-fossil fuel and not for the sake of, you know, the almighty dollar, as Mr. Jagmeet Singh and the Prime Minister are like to discuss about greed.

00:07:29.060 Those are the two most greedy politicians I can ever think of.

00:07:31.880 Anyway, I'll carry on.

00:07:32.620 So, instead of informing us with accurate science about gas stoves so we can make better decisions, anti-fossil fuel activists are distorting science by Mr. Alex Epstein.

00:07:42.700 Calls to ban gas stoves are anti-science, anti-freedom, and anti-energy.

00:07:45.960 Instead of informing us with accurate science about gas stoves so we can make better decisions, anti-fossil fuel activists are distorting the science to justify forcing their anti-gas agenda on us.

00:07:55.760 Early 2023 has featured a carefully orchestrated campaign in which a paper whose lead author is an anti-fossil fuel activist claims that gas stoves cause 12.7% of child asthma.

00:08:10.080 Number two, the federal government and New York proposed bans on new gas stoves.

00:08:14.020 We should reject this campaign.

00:08:15.920 The campaign against gas stoves is rejected for three reasons.

00:08:18.820 Families have the right to incorporate any real science about gas stoves as they judge best.

00:08:22.920 The 12.7% claim is a distortion of science.

00:08:26.820 The anti-gas movement is a threat to our grid and therefore our health.

00:08:31.100 Whether and how to use a gas or electric stove should be determined by individuals and families based on what they judge best.

00:08:38.200 For example, many will rationally choose to use a cheaper, more functional gas stove with good ventilation as the best option.

00:08:45.360 And, of course, they can't sell you a gas stove.

00:08:47.100 Make sure, you know, if it's faulty.

00:08:49.520 If it's faulty, well, you know the hard way.

00:08:51.320 But very seldom you hear about a stove blowing up in someone's house unless they leave it on or there's an accident of some sort.

00:08:58.540 There are many decisions that families make that affect kids' health far more than a gas versus electric stove.

00:09:04.500 What kinds of food kids eat, how much exercise they get, and how much money parents allocate to health versus other expenses.

00:09:11.280 Do governments then get to dictate all of these?

00:09:13.960 Very good point.

00:09:15.220 Who is the government to tell you what you have to buy?

00:09:17.620 They're trying to do it right now with our firearms.

00:09:21.360 They're trying to tell us how much gasoline we can use by upping the ante when it comes to taxes.

00:09:26.440 You know, what food products to buy.

00:09:28.440 So it's getting there slowly.

00:09:29.840 It's creeping in, ladies and gentlemen.

00:09:31.600 It's creeping in ever so gently, right?

00:09:34.880 You know?

00:09:35.080 I'll leave it at that.

00:09:43.280 See, that's the thing.

00:09:44.060 Does anyone have the right to dictate what parents feed their kids, how much exercise kids get, and how much of their money families spend on health care?

00:09:50.700 No, of course not.

00:09:51.880 Now, you'd like to improve that.

00:09:53.100 You want to see people be healthy.

00:09:54.360 You want to see kids get out there and play and have a good time.

00:09:56.740 But the past two and a half, three years in regards to the pandemic, that has been thwarted.

00:10:04.080 And there's still a lot of people scared to go out and do their thing.

00:10:07.060 Okay?

00:10:07.660 They only have the right to try to persuade parents with good info and arguments.

00:10:11.620 The same applies to gas stoves.

00:10:13.340 Whether someone offers you science, not to inform your voluntary choices, but to impose a ban on you, you can be confident that what they are calling science is a distortion.

00:10:22.720 And we've seen that the past few years in regards to masks, jibby-jabs, administration, people getting paid, people losing their jobs, people losing their minds, and people, you know.

00:10:34.000 Any confident claim that something caused stiffly so much percentage of asthma is BS.

00:10:40.220 Asthma is a cluster of symptoms that researchers do not have a clear casual picture of.

00:10:45.060 You know?

00:10:45.440 I remember back in the 80s, they talked about some kind of link to asthma in regards to gas stoves.

00:10:49.760 And no one raised a stink about owning a gas stove.

00:10:53.680 They said to make sure that everything is tight, connections are good, everything's up to date, and the safety is paramount.

00:11:00.580 So, that's the thing.

00:11:02.200 I'll leave this article in my description for you guys, ladies and gentlemen, for you to read along at your own leisure.

00:11:08.180 And you can decide what you want to do from there.

00:11:11.460 Because this past little while, especially in the past year, we're seeing all these so-called experts talk about how we should stop using fossil fuel and stop eating red meat and start eating more bugs. 0.99

00:11:24.420 Well, this clown here, Krusty Canuck, I will not eat any goddamn bugs. 0.99

00:11:29.160 I will keep eating my burgers, eating my steak, and I'll keep using my barbecue. 1.00

00:11:33.160 Now, I have an electric stove, hey. 0.97

00:11:36.060 But I was thinking of investing in a gas stove just for the sake of and just to tell these clowns, jog on. 0.74

00:12:27.640 Please share my videos and share my podcast all over the place, too.

00:12:32.040 And once again, I'd like to remind you all, too, that this podcast is brought to you by the fine, fine people and defenders and believers of free speech.

00:12:39.380 More important than your feelings, ladies and gentlemen.

00:12:41.300 That is right.

00:12:42.280 And we're carrying on again with episode 199.

00:12:44.480 No more gas stoves.

00:12:45.460 What's next?

00:12:46.400 Well, we can tell what's next, too.

00:12:48.180 Here in Canada, we have the federal government getting their panties in a bunch over our guns, okay?

00:12:54.000 One minute, the prime minister says he's not against hunting rifles, but he's against assault-style rifles.

00:13:00.360 So, guns that look scary are bad, okay?

00:13:03.240 And every so often, my Twitter feed, I see these pro-anti-gunners who keep reminding us about the Polytechnic Massacre.

00:13:10.640 Terrible crime in Canadian history.

00:13:13.800 Fourteen people did not deserve to die the way they did.

00:13:17.480 They should be alive right now.

00:13:18.840 They should be alive, as far as I'm concerned.

00:13:20.800 But then the Canadian gun laws at that time were pretty well slack compared to what they are right now, okay?

00:13:27.260 And a lot of these people who are against gun ownership in this country fail to realize the responsibility it takes to be a gun owner.

00:13:35.180 And regardless if someone committed a crime or not, and if someone committed a crime with said gun license, that still does not justify a total stranger knocking on the door saying,

00:13:48.260 Hello? Give us your arms or ass, jawohl? 1.00

00:13:51.640 No. 1.00

00:13:53.120 So, that's just my spiel on that, too.

00:13:55.900 I don't care if my neighbor owns a gun. 0.75

00:13:57.520 I don't care if this person owns a gun.

00:13:58.860 I don't care if this person's dead against guns.

00:14:01.680 It doesn't matter.

00:14:02.400 What you own, what you do with your time and your effort, with your money and your labor and your beliefs, is your business. 0.97

00:14:09.420 That's basic fucking liberty. 0.95

00:14:11.800 But the powers that be don't want that. 0.99

00:14:13.940 Our prime minister doesn't want people to have guns.

00:14:16.280 No, because it's bad and it's unsafe.

00:14:19.380 Just like he doesn't want you to drive your gasoline-powered vehicle. 0.92

00:14:23.120 He doesn't want you using electricity, but he encourages you to use wind and solar and find great technology that hasn't fucking been invented yet. 0.52

00:14:31.460 But, you know, I guess his heart's in the right place, eh? 0.77

00:14:35.120 You know, you're good, kid.

00:14:36.880 You're good. 1.00

00:14:37.540 You try really hard, but boy, you fucking dumb. 1.00

00:14:39.980 Stay updated and follow Krusty Canuck on Facebook, Twitter, Gap, Telegram, YouTube, and Podbean. 1.00

00:15:01.420 I got a video here queued up from a guy I've talked to briefly via email, the email tag.

00:15:09.600 Can I do something?

00:15:10.560 He's got one hell of a channel on YouTube.

00:15:13.080 I really suggest you check him out.

00:15:14.580 He's just very, very thorough, very kind.

00:15:16.220 He doesn't swear as much as I do.

00:15:18.000 He's a charming young nice fellow from British Columbia who's a licensed, licensed auto mechanic. 1.00

00:15:23.140 And he knows his shit. 0.98

00:15:25.040 So I'm going to queue up a video that he put together here. 0.99

00:15:27.100 And this is where you're going to hear Justin Trudeau talk about the bail system.

00:15:31.040 Now, listen carefully.

00:15:32.860 He does throw race into it, ladies and gentlemen.

00:15:34.780 Listen carefully.

00:15:35.480 I'll just do this up here for you, Zal.

00:15:36.880 And we will start the show, right?

00:15:40.880 I'm just, I'm still like, I get so tired of listening to people talk about race and race and race all the time.

00:15:48.620 Because where I grew up, we never treated people based on race.

00:15:51.940 We treated people based on their actions. 0.95

00:15:53.920 You know, a shit simple procedure.

00:15:55.640 You treat people accordingly on their actions. 0.95

00:15:58.100 That is what you do.

00:15:59.500 You don't sit there and judge people on this or on that and how they do this and how they do that.

00:16:04.680 You just treat people like people.

00:16:06.880 But unfortunately, these individuals that are in Ottawa right now do not do that because they have a different agenda.

00:16:14.020 All the name of so-called progress.

00:16:16.780 Yet they fail to realize that they're regressing.

00:16:20.020 They're going backwards.

00:16:21.840 Right?

00:16:22.200 But I'll play this for you.

00:16:23.860 And a special thanks once again.

00:16:26.100 Hats off there to Clyde Do Something who put this video together for us to enjoy and monitor to submit for our approval.

00:16:35.040 Right?

00:16:35.520 So, I'll just cue this up.

00:16:37.620 And we'll go from there, ladies and gentlemen.

00:16:40.880 Yeah.

00:16:41.340 Just got to get this cued up here.

00:16:43.160 I'm having some troubles here.

00:16:44.240 So, thank you for bearing with me this whole time.

00:16:47.740 Let me get this sorted out.

00:16:51.400 Yeah.

00:16:52.140 Sorry.

00:16:53.000 Anyways, I'm carrying on here.

00:16:54.140 I'm just trying to get this.

00:16:55.040 Sorry.

00:16:58.720 Anybody have any good jokes?

00:17:00.940 Yeah.

00:17:01.180 Okay.

00:17:01.720 There we go.

00:17:02.680 I think we are set right now, ladies and gentlemen.

00:17:04.720 So, please pay attention carefully.

00:17:07.100 Okay.

00:17:07.500 The bail issue.

00:17:12.140 Fully Malone, the Canadian press.

00:17:13.420 So, following high-profile instances of people committing crime while I don't fail.

00:17:19.240 Premier sent a letter on Friday urging your government to review bail systems.

00:17:22.780 The review has been committed to you, but what more needs to be done?

00:17:25.740 And how soon should Canadians expect results?

00:17:27.940 I think Canadians understand that we need to have a justice system that is effective in keeping people safe and fair.

00:17:36.760 Anytime you make a change to the bail systems, there's challenges around impacts, particularly on Indigenous or minority groups,

00:17:44.840 that we have to make sure we're taking into account.

00:17:47.080 We all want a system that ensures that Canadians are safe in their homes and their communities.

00:17:52.700 And that's why we're looking very carefully at this proposal from the premiers.

00:17:58.160 We're always going to put the safety of Canadians at the top of mind.

00:18:02.400 That's what we've done in the various reforms we brought to the criminal justice system.

00:18:06.540 And that's what we're going to continue to do.

00:18:08.140 We understand there's a real concern out there, and that's why we're working quickly to look at that.

00:18:12.160 So, there is a real concern out there.

00:18:13.880 And the real concern a lot of people are pointing out is, well, a particular individual that was detained.

00:18:20.440 Yeah, there is a concern, ladies and gentlemen.

00:18:24.200 A concern with the fact that, why are people who are committing crimes with guns and weapons,

00:18:30.060 aggravated assault, robberies, attempted murder, are being released?

00:18:35.380 Okay.

00:18:37.680 See, I look at an individual.

00:18:39.340 It doesn't matter if you're black, white, pink, purple, First Nations, Asian.

00:18:43.460 I don't care what your background is. 0.56

00:18:45.440 You take it upon yourself to use a weapon to commit a crime, okay, you are guilty of said crime, okay?

00:18:56.120 It doesn't matter where you come from.

00:18:57.260 It doesn't matter your background.

00:18:58.360 And the justice system should ideally take that in consideration when you appear in the court of law

00:19:04.120 because you're supposed to be presumed innocent until proven guilty, right?

00:19:08.100 Due process, okay?

00:19:09.680 Now, if there's an individual who has a track sheet and he or she has done this and done that and A, B, and C,

00:19:16.540 but the way the prime minister just said, the way he spoke about it,

00:19:20.740 if you're from this group or that group, then we should be more lenient.

00:19:25.080 Is that itself not racist? 0.50

00:19:28.100 Hmm?

00:19:28.200 Is that itself a racist thing to do when you favor a certain group or a certain bunch of people who've committed some nasty crimes?

00:19:38.240 Now, I understand poverty has gone up in this country, but it doesn't just affect certain groups.

00:19:43.600 It has affected a lot of Canadians, okay?

00:19:46.520 And where I grew up, okay, and as much as I hate to say this, ladies and gentlemen, as much as I hate using the race, okay,

00:19:56.820 there were white people I grew up with that didn't have a lot, okay?

00:20:05.060 And there were white people that I went to school with that didn't have a lot.

00:20:10.260 And a lot of the poverty at that time wasn't due to the economics, wasn't due to the color of their skin,

00:20:19.180 wasn't due to the fact they couldn't read or they couldn't write. 0.99

00:20:23.040 It was done to the fact that the guardianship and the parental units made some shitty fucking decisions. 1.00

00:20:33.500 Okay? 0.99

00:20:35.860 And you look at that for what it is.

00:20:37.840 Now, if person A is 25 years old and he's been in and out of the institutions for a while,

00:20:43.680 you would think the guy would know better or the gal would know better. 1.00

00:20:47.440 Sometimes it's hard.

00:20:48.840 I get that.

00:20:50.040 Sometimes you get on a certain path and you can't quit it.

00:20:53.100 I get that.

00:20:54.420 But the individuals that killed that police officer in Ontario just shot point blank, no regard for him or whatever.

00:21:02.720 That individual was in trouble before, was he not?

00:21:05.380 And he was released on bail because of weapons charges.

00:21:08.960 Yet how did he obtain an illegal firearm yet again?

00:21:13.200 Right?

00:21:14.100 Something to think about.

00:21:15.800 There was an individual here in Edmonton, or it was a Calgary, who stabbed an old man on a bus because of colonialism.

00:21:22.960 That was his excuse.

00:21:24.380 There was an individual that went out of his way recently who was released on bail.

00:21:31.900 I don't have the whole story.

00:21:32.780 I'll leave a link in the description. 1.00

00:21:34.400 But he had a rap sheet from here to Cleveland just for stupid things. 0.97

00:21:39.240 But he was released on bail again and committed another crime with a legal firearm. 1.00

00:21:43.980 Okay?

00:21:44.200 So, while people are clenching their pearls and the anti-gunners out there saying, you don't need this, you don't need that, who are you to tell me what I need and what I want and should have?

00:21:54.220 I don't tell you what to serve your kids for supper every night.

00:21:57.280 I don't tell you how to please your husband, girlfriend, or boyfriend.

00:21:59.940 Or if you're in that polyamorous situation, how to please your lovers, I don't tell you to live your life.

00:22:06.840 Okay?

00:22:07.620 But when you look at these individuals that are so anti-gun and so anti-aggression when it comes to getting the bad guy, they tend to live in giant urban centers who have everything there accessible to them.

00:22:21.280 Now, I can feel sympathetic to an individual who takes out a liquor store because he or she needs the money to get formula for their young ones.

00:22:29.620 Or food for the young ones.

00:22:30.980 Or to get rent paid.

00:22:31.960 Or they're going to be kicked out in the street.

00:22:33.380 I can understand that.

00:22:35.460 But in the same sense, they had committed a crime.

00:22:38.000 They committed a crime.

00:22:39.300 They've done a bad thing.

00:22:41.660 And I'm almost positive that any sane justice out there would look at that situation for what it is.

00:22:47.680 But you've still got to serve time for it, regardless of the color of your skin.

00:22:52.480 We're supposed to be equal under the law.

00:22:56.220 Equal. 0.80

00:22:56.820 All people.

00:22:57.440 All individuals.

00:22:58.000 If you're caught doing something bad, it shouldn't matter what your background is.

00:23:02.300 It shouldn't matter what your gender is. 0.99

00:23:03.800 Yet we have politicians that throw that into the mix. 0.99

00:23:07.840 To look fucking woke. 0.99

00:23:09.680 And for what? 0.99

00:23:11.220 Huh?

00:23:13.260 For what?

00:23:14.860 What's it going to prove?

00:23:16.380 Nothing.

00:23:18.380 Right?

00:23:19.780 I've known people in my life that took their own life.

00:23:22.340 And then you have gun lobbyists sitting there going, well, they were illegal gun owners.

00:23:26.780 It doesn't matter, though.

00:23:29.280 They were hurting.

00:23:31.280 I've had people I grew up with who've taken their own life without a gun.

00:23:36.320 One individual threw himself off the building.

00:23:40.940 Another individual threw himself in front of a truck.

00:23:43.220 And yet we have politicians that constantly sit and worry about their little beans and they don't want to count this and count that. 0.69

00:23:51.640 We have a defense minister who spends more time worrying about gender pronouns on letterheads and listening to so-called academics calling our military full of white supremacists. 0.98

00:24:03.360 And yet these academics never served a goddamn day in their life. 0.99

00:24:07.780 But she's taken their point of view and taken their insight and their insights rather than listening to the men and women that want to put their ass in the line for this country. 0.99

00:24:20.120 Ah, progress. 1.00

00:24:22.060 What a fucking shit show. 1.00

00:24:46.140 Look for me on my Facebook page and my YouTube page for updates, too.

00:24:51.540 I'm getting more traction on my Facebook page.

00:24:53.980 And it's not just because of my dedication to this podcast.

00:24:57.360 It's also because of you fine people out there.

00:25:00.240 So give yourselves a round of applause for that.

00:25:02.540 That's right.

00:25:04.140 And I'm seeing that my subscriptions have gone up in the past week, which is a good thing.

00:25:09.360 So thank you once again.

00:25:10.780 Thank you.

00:25:11.380 Thank you very much.

00:25:12.420 One more round of applause out there.

00:25:14.260 For all you guys out there.

00:25:14.980 And I just want to thank some friends of mine in Ontario who have watched my six, per se.

00:25:21.780 You two know who you are.

00:25:23.360 Thank you once again.

00:25:25.240 Right.

00:25:26.200 One's male.

00:25:27.020 One's female. 0.98

00:25:27.860 But you guys know who you are.

00:25:29.540 So thank you once again for that.

00:25:31.240 And an update, too.

00:25:32.640 Screenplay is still in the works.

00:25:34.880 Just working out some finer details. 0.99

00:25:37.040 And getting to the bottom of some bullshit. 0.96

00:25:39.840 So I'll keep you posted on that at a later time.

00:25:43.580 But the screenplay that I wrote, I promise, ladies and gentlemen, it will be a fantastic show.

00:25:49.200 I'm assuming if it gets picked up.

00:25:50.880 But there'll be time and a place for that for me to tell you is all the juicy details about that when it comes.

00:25:56.640 Anyhow, carrying on again with the whole no more gas stoves.

00:26:00.580 What's next?

00:26:01.540 Well, that's a question.

00:26:02.440 What is next?

00:26:03.580 What else are you going to think about banding, too?

00:26:05.360 Now, like I said, I'll leave the articles in the description for you all to follow there at your own leisure.

00:26:10.360 But they keep making these suggestions to ban gas stoves.

00:26:13.120 Now, here in Canada, to my American listeners, too, and British listeners and German listeners, like, all over the world.

00:26:19.620 Excuse me.

00:26:21.180 Oh, pardon me.

00:26:23.500 The federal government has banned single-use plastic.

00:26:26.160 So a lot of grocery stores and other chains alike have opted out on those little plastic bags you used to get.

00:26:31.740 So you get yourself a bottle of pop and some goodies and some fat pills, tobacco, whatever you want.

00:26:37.160 Or if you're coming home, you get yourself a jug of milk and some creamer for your coffee, whatever.

00:26:41.340 It's nice to have that little bag.

00:26:42.360 And I have to keep telling myself to bring my recyclable bags with me and put them in my truck when I go to and from work, right?

00:26:48.900 Rather than having to spend 33 cents on an acrylic bag.

00:26:53.100 And we know where acrylics come from, don't we?

00:26:56.520 Acrylics come from fuel, fossil fuel.

00:27:00.360 So we can't have the single-use bags, even though single-use bags can be used for garbage and everything else.

00:27:08.620 And you'll find there's people I still know that put plastic bags in their feet when they put their boots on when they work out in the cold.

00:27:16.560 So they're effective.

00:27:17.720 So we find uses for these things, ladies and gentlemen.

00:27:20.520 Now, the federal government's way off for banning these, too.

00:27:22.420 Now, sure, we're inconvenienced briefly, but still, it's forced you to buy another bag that you don't really need.

00:27:31.220 It just accumulates.

00:27:32.780 And when I look under my cupboard, I see quite a few of those recyclable bags and those new bags you can buy and go grocery shopping with.

00:27:38.680 So it's my own fault.

00:27:40.300 I'll have to slap my wrist and take responsibility.

00:27:44.880 Next time I go grocery shopping, make sure I get enough bags with me so I don't have to buy any more.

00:27:49.320 But the point I'm trying to make is that there's such lackluster and irresponsibility when it comes to governance in this country and when it comes to looking at the environment.

00:27:58.060 You and I both know that we're not going to throw our trash in the river.

00:28:02.340 You and I both know that no one's going to dump nuclear waste into a water source.

00:28:06.420 Not that it hasn't been done before, but we know better, too.

00:28:09.220 And I think us Canadians have a really good grip when it comes to the environment, especially us out here in Alberta, right?

00:28:18.620 So if you want to ban fossil fuels, then I highly suggest you get yourself a horse and buggy and all the best to you, eh?

00:28:27.020 Because fossil fuels has impacted our lives.

00:28:30.480 It builds our computers.

00:28:31.480 It builds this camera I'm looking into.

00:28:33.220 It's built your cell phone.

00:28:34.500 It's built the batteries that charge your cell phone, not to mention the fine, fine minerals that go into the charging aspect of putting power into your cell phone, not to mention half the clothing we wear, too.

00:28:47.180 So to all the Greta Thunbergs out there, to all the Stephen Gilbeaus and to all the Christian Freelins, you know, that's the thing.

00:28:54.040 I've got another thing to say, too, in regards to Miss Freeland, Mr. Gilbeau.

00:28:59.140 So, Stephen and Christia, I'll ask that again.

00:29:07.360 Stephen and Christia, right?

00:29:09.640 Now, Stephen Gilbeau pops up once in a while on Twitter talking about the innovations and how green technology is going to save us.

00:29:16.300 Where's this technology you speak of, Stephen?

00:29:19.340 Where is it?

00:29:21.240 Right?

00:29:21.740 Don't tell me wind and solar.

00:29:23.440 What else is in the works?

00:29:25.460 A lot of us here at the Cresting Your Podcast want to know.

00:29:29.140 Do you have a viable answer, a viable solution?

00:29:38.480 Not a chance, Buckeye.

00:29:40.200 And Miss Freeland apparently giving away $2 billion to some unknown company or some non-existent company. 1.00

00:29:48.860 That's something to think about.

00:29:50.100 But I'll probably get into my next episode, ladies and gentlemen.

00:29:53.020 I'm getting a little too heated and emotional for this one.

00:29:55.360 But once again, I'd like to say my apologies for not showing up earlier.

00:29:59.780 This is the first episode of the podcast for 2023.

00:30:03.280 You know, that's a good thing, right?

00:30:04.980 Yep.

00:30:05.200 Exactly.

00:30:10.800 And once again, my apologies for not showing up earlier.

00:30:15.760 I just took some time out this weekend just to chill because I had a pretty long work schedule.

00:30:20.400 Pretty hectic.

00:30:22.020 And, you know, I'm not getting younger. 0.99

00:30:23.260 So, this getting up, oh, dark, stupid, and coming home when it's just getting dark or when it is dark is taking its toll on me, ladies and gentlemen. 0.99

00:30:31.860 Nonetheless, my bills are getting paid and I'm not complaining. 0.99

00:30:34.840 I'm just getting a little tired.

00:30:36.100 But anyhow, I want to thank you all again for tuning into the show.

00:30:39.280 Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.

00:30:41.220 And I want to say thank you to those people that have donated the past couple of weeks, too.

00:30:44.000 I've seen a few donations.

00:30:44.860 So, thank you very much, those individuals out there.

00:30:48.540 And like I said, this is episode 199.

00:30:50.180 So, I'm planning something for episode 200.

00:30:53.980 I'm thinking about maybe some giveaways.

00:30:55.820 So, I might give away some Krusty Canuck Gucci kit, a t-shirt, a hat, maybe a swimsuit or two, or an item from my shop.

00:31:03.860 And I hope to see you there for the 200th episode.

00:31:06.460 I might go live for that one, ladies and gentlemen.

00:31:08.600 So, pay attention to my pages on Facebook and YouTube for when I go live.

00:31:13.380 And you might get yourself some Krusty Canuck swagger at no cost to you. 0.91

00:31:18.040 Let me just tune in and I'll post a question.

00:31:19.900 And if I get a viable answer from somebody quick enough, that individual might get himself or herself a nice Krusty Canuck piece of merchandise.

00:31:29.380 But like I said, ladies and gentlemen, this has been the Krusty Canuck podcast for 17 January 2023.

00:31:35.700 I wish nothing but good things for you all out there.

00:31:38.600 Weather is getting better here in beautiful Alberta.

00:31:41.120 It's a nice balmy minus eight.

00:31:44.380 Celsius.

00:31:45.500 So, it's still a little wet and cool, but still due diligence.

00:31:48.840 Help each other out in these trying times.

00:31:50.260 If you see neighbors struggling with his or her snow, give them a hand.

00:31:53.040 If you see neighbors struggling with the groceries, maybe step up.

00:31:56.000 Give a few cans of food if you can or help out the best way you can.

00:32:00.380 It's just a matter of trying to be civil with each other and just trying to get along, ladies and gentlemen.

00:32:04.820 And that's what we should do.

00:32:05.760 We should persevere. 0.99

00:32:06.400 And just to quote a line from the movie Heartbreak Bridge where Clint Eastwood says that one soldier that fell out of his punishment PT, don't give the son of a bitch the satisfaction. 0.98

00:32:17.920 And so, we shan't, ladies and gentlemen. 0.97

00:32:21.920 Like I say, I've been Krusty Canuck on this beautiful 17th of January 2023.

00:32:26.340 All the best to you and yours in this wonderful new year.

00:32:30.520 Let's make it what it is, something fantastic.

00:32:33.380 And like I always say, ladies and gentlemen, humanity and merit wins the day.

00:32:39.480 Take care and I'll see you next time.

00:32:41.320 Bye for now.

00:32:45.800 Hit it, sweetheart. 1.00

00:32:48.020 Because I am hard, you will not like me.

00:32:50.800 Yes, sir.

00:32:54.440 There is no racial bigotry here.

00:32:59.040 There you are all equally working.

00:33:03.380 This has been another episode of the Krusty Canuck podcast.

00:33:07.160 Stay sane.

00:33:08.080 And thank you for listening.

00:33:09.560 From Western Canada.

00:33:10.980 This is the Krusty Canuck podcast.

00:33:12.940 Thank you.
