Transcript

00:00:01.000 Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. It's a beautiful 30th of January, 2023.
00:00:05.980 Come on with the Christy Yuck podcast, The Freedom Convoy, one year later.
00:00:10.540 Oh my God, have things really changed though?
00:00:12.640 Plus information on the Jeremy McKenzie saga with his banks.
00:00:15.840 And of course, the beautiful people at the Canadian Revenue Agency
00:00:18.580 want a 30% raise because they have it so bloody bad.
00:00:23.740 Yeah, as if. All that more come to the podcast. Please stick around.
00:00:27.840 But listener and viewer discretion is advised, I do swear, and I smoke cigarettes.
00:00:31.620 See you in a bit. Cheers.
00:00:35.980 Hit it, sweetheart.
00:00:38.200 Because I am hard, you will not like me.
00:00:41.040 Yes, sir.
00:00:44.620 There is no racial bigotry here.
00:00:49.340 There you are always what we work for.
00:00:53.320 From Western Canada, this is the Krusty Canuck podcast.
00:00:57.840 A Canadian veteran's point of view.
00:01:00.320 On political, social, economic issues, and life.
00:01:04.240 Here's Krusty.
00:01:07.060 That's right, ladies and gentlemen.

00:01:13.200 I'm your host, Krusty Canuck.
00:01:14.500 And welcome to this beautiful winter's day.
00:01:16.740 And this podcast is also brought to you in part by
00:01:19.460 people at BattleFit Bodywear.
00:01:21.560 That's right.
00:01:22.620 BattleFit Bodywear.
00:01:24.480 Be limitless.
00:01:25.360 Be BattleFit.
00:01:26.620 BattleFit Bodywear.
00:01:27.620 That's right, ladies and gentlemen.
00:01:28.620 There will be more adverts like that coming in the near future.
00:01:32.020 Anyway, I'm Krusty Canuck.
00:01:33.780 Sorry for my absence the past little while.
00:01:35.680 The work schedule has been really, really getting there.
00:01:38.700 But working lots, working hard.
00:01:41.580 All that good stuff.
00:01:42.860 And if you like and hear what you see,
00:01:43.860 please click like, subscribe, and all that good stuff.
00:01:46.580 Share this podcast all over your social media platforms.
00:01:49.440 Help a guy like myself out.
00:01:51.160 And other podcasters like to get the word out there.
00:01:53.160 And enjoy the freedom of speech while we still have it.
00:01:56.380 Anyway, Caron, as the title said, a year later, the convoy.
00:01:58.880 Now, a lot of this is just off the top of my head.
00:02:01.140 It's been an interesting year, nonetheless.
00:02:02.740 How many people have been arrested?
00:02:04.140 How many people have been thrown in jail?
00:02:06.280 How many people were locked up because of their association with said convoy?
00:02:10.620 Their association with said leaders of said convoy?
00:02:13.800 Fines, tickets, people getting their banks' accounts frozen and all that, too.
00:02:17.580 And yet, when you hear the news, you don't hear much about it other than the so-called freedom convoy.
00:02:24.440 Now, I've been at odds with other veterans in regards to this, too.
00:02:27.800 And, you know, it wasn't a traditional freedom convoy where you're storming the beach and guns are blazing
00:02:31.860 and all this good stuff like the DDA invasion or other invasions throughout history.
00:02:35.820 It wasn't an invasion to begin with.
00:02:37.620 It was a bunch of people standing up and saying, look, we've had enough of this shit.
00:02:41.720 Let's get the ball going here.
00:02:43.100 Let's get the bridges and the borders open here.
00:02:45.540 And let's get things hunky-dory once again.
00:02:49.120 Okay?
00:02:50.160 How many more jibby-jabs do people have to get?
00:02:52.120 How many more mandates do we have to go through in order for us to get along based on the government know-it-alls, right?
00:02:58.080 And it's been proven the past year or two how many of these individuals were wrong, right?
00:03:03.180 How many of these individuals were actually wrong about their decisions when they closed this and closed that
00:03:07.520 and demand that now you get two jibby-jabs, but you get three or four.
00:03:10.980 And you'll get your boosters because the boosters are effective, even though said politicians with boosters end up giving the vid all the same, right?
00:03:20.780 Like a beloved prime minister.
00:03:21.900 Because during said convoy, he was hiding away at his cottage.
00:03:25.180 If you don't remember that, ladies and gentlemen, the footage is out there for you to watch and to listen and to observe on your own terms.
00:03:31.120 But you get my point.
00:03:33.600 Okay?
00:03:34.260 So a year later, what's changed?
00:03:35.580 Well, the end of the mandates in most of the provinces across the country, they got a little more lenient when it came to people walking into stores
00:03:41.680 and where they had to walk, and they got rid of a lot of the mask mandates, too, right?
00:03:46.740 Now, mind you, though, too, in my adventures, there were a few little pukes that would sit there and say,
00:03:50.720 where's your mask?
00:03:52.120 You know, you'd be prompted to grab them and throw them across the desk.
00:03:55.540 But no, of course, don't try not to be violent.
00:03:57.320 Try to be kind and calm, cool, collected, and not do anything rash or stupid.
00:04:02.360 But changes happen, ladies and gentlemen.
00:04:05.000 Changes happen.
00:04:05.560 Now, this week, they're going to review, I think February 6th is going to review when they had the whole panel and the committee on the Emergencies Measures Act
00:04:15.760 that the government promoted quickly because they got scared.
00:04:20.700 But what's ironic about that, too, is that there's a committee that gets to read the results a week before they're released.
00:04:28.060 Sounds crazy, eh?
00:04:31.120 What kind of ideas do they come up with now?
00:04:33.440 Now, they're going to daydream and project other fears, right?
00:04:38.580 So, that's right.
00:04:39.720 The Liberal Cabinet is going to get their hands on the results prior to them releasing to the public.
00:04:48.560 Something to think about, right, ladies and gentlemen?
00:04:50.880 Something to think about when it comes to who's really in charge here.
00:04:54.360 So, they spent the better part of what?
00:04:55.660 I think 90 days, you know, or pretty well close to 90 days trying to figure out what was going on.
00:05:00.300 Why would they instill the Emergency Measures Act when there was no real projected violence other than fear?
00:05:05.840 People jumping the gun.
00:05:07.340 No pun intended, right?
00:05:09.480 And some of these politicians sitting there talking about how, oh my goodness, they had guns at the coots.
00:05:14.660 Well, they're trying to figure out that those guns might have been planted there.
00:05:18.180 Because when you actually look at the photographs of said guns that were apprehended at coots, a lot of them are looking pretty well brand new.
00:05:25.560 They weren't looking used or...
00:05:27.820 So, there's something to think about there.
00:05:29.480 Now, I'm not going to sit and put my tinfoil hat on and think that there's some kind of conspiracy, but I can smell bullshit all the same.
00:05:37.440 So, I'll let you decide, my wonderful audience out there.
00:05:40.000 And once again, ladies and gentlemen, if you'd like to hear what you'd see, please click like and subscribe and share this podcast all over your social media platform.
00:05:46.720 You know, you can also find the Krusty Connect podcast available on Podbean, Rumble, Spotify, Amazon, and Player FM.
00:05:52.900 When I load the podcast on my Podbean and here on the tube, it automatically goes to those above-mentioned places.
00:05:59.520 And you can check out my podcast there, too.
00:06:01.860 And you might have seen some adverts that have gone around Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and all that.
00:06:05.700 So, click on the links that you see there and get yourself some Krusty Connect swagger or donate at your leisure, ladies and gentlemen.
00:06:12.260 Your donations do go to help me and they do go to help some less fortunate people out there, especially the individuals that use the Veterans Association Food Bank, too.
00:06:21.160 When I do make some money, I tend to give them some, too, just to help them along their way, too, to keep the lights on, kind of thing.
00:06:28.180 Anyway, enough of this charity stuff.
00:06:31.060 Getting on again with the whole issue a year later.
00:06:34.300 That's right, ladies and gentlemen.
00:06:35.620 Freedom Convoy, one year later, of course, you see a picture of Justin Trudeau there in his crying formation, always, always in tears, right?
00:06:42.320 And, of course, Parliament stood up to you, too, ladies and gentlemen, after them having roughly about six weeks off or close to seven weeks off to sit and decide what to do and how to hobgobble.
00:06:53.160 And there's lots of video footage out there that fine people at Rebel and True North put together of some of our Canadian bigwigs at the WEF conference in Davos, Switzerland.
00:07:04.380 You know, all the big, rich guys, all the billionaires telling us or wanting to tell us how to live and how we have to eat bugs and like it.
00:07:10.540 Jawohl, you know, Mr. Klaus Schwab there and his little kitty, Mr. Biggersworth.
00:07:15.420 No, I'm sorry.
00:07:15.880 That was that was Mike Myers from Austin Powers.
00:07:19.520 Right.
00:07:19.820 Dr. Evil.
00:07:21.000 Right.
00:07:21.640 But they're all the same wavelength when you think about it.
00:07:24.800 You know, Dr. Evil's character, Klaus Schwab, not much of a difference.
00:07:29.400 You know, the token Bond villain.
00:07:31.600 You know, I'm Ernst Blofeld.
00:07:33.420 Yes.
00:07:33.760 You know, and we have ways to make you talk.
00:07:35.780 Yes.
00:07:36.580 Anyway, I'm digressing, ladies and gentlemen.
00:07:38.880 It's one of those days where you look at what's going on in our system, what's going on in our politics, what's going on with people.
00:07:44.980 And the mainstream media has been guilty of saying the whole supposed freedom convoy.
00:07:53.340 And yet they have the freedom to say what they want to say.
00:07:56.180 I have the freedom to say what I want to say.
00:07:57.700 You have the freedom to say what you want to say, ladies and gentlemen.
00:08:01.400 And yet they shun.
00:08:03.340 They still shun.
00:08:04.680 They still shun these individuals that made a difference.
00:08:07.600 Right.
00:08:09.500 That's the thing.
00:08:10.180 An average citizen took it upon his and herself to get up and do something.
00:08:15.460 And they did.
00:08:16.340 There was no violence.
00:08:17.460 There was no property damage.
00:08:19.520 No fires were set and buildings burnt down.
00:08:23.540 There were a couple of attempts at arson that were different incidents altogether.
00:08:28.100 But when you look at what Ottawa had to go through, there was a minor fraction of people that were subtly inconvenienced because of all this traffic in Ottawa.
00:08:38.380 Oh, my goodness.
00:08:39.580 All the honking and the smell.
00:08:41.140 Oh, my goodness.
00:08:43.520 Basically, a lot of people were just.
00:08:44.980 They got pussies and they got scared.
00:08:46.900 So that's what it was.
00:08:48.000 And we watched the footage of the POEC public inquiries commission in regards to all this stuff.
00:08:55.420 That's what it was.
00:08:56.340 It was nothing more but people just being scared and being a little goddamn wimps.

00:09:22.260 It doesn't matter where, when, how.
00:09:23.740 Please share it around.
00:09:24.740 Please share it around.
00:09:25.760 Let's keep spreading the wealth when it comes to information and people getting out there, just trying to get the words out.
00:09:31.020 So you, my fine audience, and other people, and everywhere else in the world, you can enjoy a different podcast, different perspectives at any time of day.
00:09:39.540 So please share this podcast all over your social media platforms if you can.
00:09:42.940 Now, I'm going to queue up a video that just came from Global News, one of our mainstream media outlets here, discussing the whole year after the convoy and their assessments.
00:09:53.760 And our defense, or not defense, our justice minister, Mr. David Lamenti, or Mamenti, I don't know, I can't keep up with half of these names anymore, because they're all clowns, they're all morons.
00:10:04.220 They all brag about their education, yet they fail to embrace common sense, right?
00:10:08.880 And I also have some more updates later in the show in regards to Mr. Jeremy McKenzie, a fellow veteran, a fellow royal, who has been going through absolute hell in regards to the financial institution, canceling his bank account, canceling basically his banking.
00:10:22.440 And, well, last I read, he is forbidden to put his money in any bank in this country, so there'll be more details coming up on that shortly.
00:10:29.820 But I'll just queue up the video here for you all to watch and see at your leisure, ladies and gentlemen, right?
00:10:37.500 There's a lot of information that you can get in these two minutes of Global TV's coverage of the whole year later of the convoy.
00:10:49.600 It sounds like some kind of bad 70s movie, eh?
00:10:52.600 Lear Litter of the Convoy, yes, and the big Gila monster with little hoos and all that stuff.
00:10:58.360 I'm still digressing, ladies and gentlemen.
00:11:00.960 But I'm looking for this page here.
00:11:02.400 I had it queued up earlier.
00:11:03.520 My apologies, my tardiness for this podcast.
00:11:07.080 But I think you get my point when it comes to individuals that fail to embrace reality.
00:11:15.800 I've got a lot of people in this country that were pissed off and they had every right to stand up and do what they wanted to do in the name of democracy and freedom.
00:11:23.280 Now, I highly suggest you listen to Mr. Lamedi when he talks about the whole issue when it comes to democracy.
00:11:33.640 And you've caught Justin saying the same thing, too, right?
00:11:37.180 You've always caught Justin saying the same thing in regards to that.
00:11:39.920 So I'll just queue this up for you, ladies and gentlemen.
00:11:42.420 But still, every time these people speak, I shake my head exactly why.
00:11:49.220 Why are they doing this?
00:11:50.160 Why are they sitting there saying all this wonderful garbage in regards to, you know, the convoy when they fail to realize that they were part of the problem?
00:11:59.740 And they were.
00:12:00.880 They were part of the effing problem.
00:12:03.460 So.
00:12:07.820 There we go.
00:12:08.620 Oh, yeah, it's coming here.
00:12:10.380 So especially listen to the broadcaster, how she explains the so-called freedom convoy.
00:12:17.360 I'll let you decide, ladies and gentlemen.
00:12:20.160 A year ago, news about the so-called freedom convoy was dominating the headlines.
00:12:26.180 The trucks were allowed to roll in and occupy the streets near Parliament Hill for weeks.
00:12:30.640 And blockades were set up at several border crossings.
00:12:33.440 But one year later, Ottawa has a new police chief and police are stepping up their presence in the downtown.
00:12:38.380 About 500 people are expected on Parliament Hill this weekend.
00:12:41.480 Our chief political correspondent, David Aiken, has a look at what impact the convoy is still having on national politics.
00:12:48.500 David.
00:12:49.660 Well, Donna, I'm standing on Wellington Street.
00:12:52.180 That's the street that runs right in front of the Parliament buildings.
00:12:54.580 And this street has been closed to most traffic for security reasons ever since the freedom convoy rolled in one year ago.
00:13:02.700 I'm certainly not marking the anniversary in any way.
00:13:06.400 And our focus now is on making sure it doesn't happen again.
00:13:10.480 Some federal politicians, too, never wish to see such a demonstration again.
00:13:15.760 That it represented the high watermark of a very extreme populist movement that was frankly disrespectful of other people's rights,
00:13:25.220 disrespectful of diversity, disrespectful of democratic processes.
00:13:29.400 But to some, the protests gave a voice to angry, frustrated Canadians.
00:13:35.100 It brought, at least for me and a lot of people around here, hope.
00:13:37.580 I know everyone has their own opinions on it, but for us it's about hope.
00:13:40.220 I think the significance is that the convoy probably never should have had to happen,
00:13:43.640 but people are frustrated in this country and they have every reason to be.
00:13:46.180 That anger, that frustration continues to drive political behaviour in many parts of the country.
00:13:51.620 I do think if anybody thinks what happened in the trucker protest is going away,
00:13:57.180 you know, adjust your thinking.
00:13:58.360 It's definitely going to be a feature in the next federal election campaign
00:14:02.080 because it tends to work for both the Liberals and some would argue for the opposition as well.
00:14:08.140 Sutcliffe, the Ottawa mayor, hopes for a return to a more civil kind of politics.
00:14:13.420 I remain optimistic by nature and I'm hopeful that we can avoid a lot of that nastiness,
00:14:21.140 but I am concerned about it.
00:14:23.220 Now, as for this street, Wellington Street,
00:14:25.160 a lot of people on City Council want it to return to normal.
00:14:28.440 They want to bring the traffic back, but a lot of MPs have some different ideas.
00:14:33.120 They would like to see the federal government extend its jurisdiction here,
00:14:36.800 expand the security zone of the parliamentary precinct
00:14:39.440 to better protect Canada's democratic institutions.
00:14:42.880 Donna.
00:14:43.200 All right, David Akin, your Parliament Hill tonight.
00:14:45.240 Thanks, David.
00:14:45.840 Yeah, really.
00:14:51.460 Protect the institutions, right?
00:14:53.800 You know, undermining democracy, Mr. Lemony.
00:14:55.900 Of course, you know, different views and everything.
00:14:57.980 Only their views are important, okay?
00:15:00.000 Now, I think you're missing the point here, federal government and mainstream media.
00:15:05.460 No, people are standing up against something.
00:15:07.880 So it goes to show they haven't learned anything over the past year.
00:15:11.800 I wasn't there.
00:15:14.340 I wasn't at the convoy.
00:15:15.780 And part of me wishes that I was, right?
00:15:19.120 I would love the opportunity to stand with the other brothers and sisters there,
00:15:23.640 the war monument, cleaning up, sweeping it up, shoveling the snow, right?
00:15:27.980 Clean up the garbage, and just the camaraderie alone, right?
00:15:31.800 And ladies and gentlemen, if you're unsure and if you're not really in tune with what happened there,
00:15:37.400 there's tons of footage out there you can look at from different perspectives.
00:15:41.620 From Warrior Campaign to Rebel News to True North Media to Greg Wycliffe, right?
00:15:47.000 Aviva Frey, he's had some amazing footage from that.
00:15:50.900 So you have to look at the independent lens, independent eye to see it for yourself.
00:15:54.860 And as we're always told, to have faith.
00:15:59.860 A lot of faith in that.
00:16:01.940 A lot of faith.
00:16:04.420 Right?
00:16:04.660 I, for one, I fought for this country.
00:16:06.760 Jeremy McKenzie fought for this country, too.
00:16:08.780 A lot of our brothers and sisters fought for this country.
00:16:12.640 And a lot of these political junkies and mainstream media, moguls alike, really don't give a shit.
00:16:19.040 And it's going to suck for them if something really bad happens.
00:16:23.980 I just don't want to see that.
00:16:25.500 What say you?

00:16:54.020 I need more people to give me some comments, good or bad.
00:16:56.740 But if you're going to be rude and be inventive and insane, I just might answer you.
00:17:00.720 And then we have a little debate going on here.
00:17:02.540 You know, a little of a word salad happening.
00:17:05.020 But please, don't be hesitant.
00:17:06.500 Please comment.

00:17:11.680 Now, as I said, Jeremy McKenzie, a notable podcaster, a veteran, one hell of a decent human being.
00:17:18.200 Looks after his friends and his family very well.
00:17:20.080 And regardless of how you personally feel about him, okay, here's a guy who spoke his mind on his podcast.
00:17:28.860 Now, he did have some tasteful jokes and he had some tasteless jokes, okay?
00:17:35.100 And that's the point when it comes to listening to broadcast.
00:17:38.700 Doesn't matter if it's Howard Stern.
00:17:40.260 Doesn't matter if it's a major station in Toronto or Ottawa or New York City or Los Angeles or London, England or Berlin, Germany.
00:17:46.780 It doesn't matter.
00:17:47.480 There's always going to be a DJ or an announcer or some kind of broadcaster that might shock you with something.
00:17:53.740 It's no different for us, okay?
00:17:57.740 It's no different.
00:17:58.700 We don't have to follow certain guidelines.
00:18:00.660 Now, we have a government that wants to push those guidelines, but we'll get to that in another episode.
00:18:05.280 But now, Jeremy McKenzie is a veteran, he's a family man, okay?
00:18:09.840 Done his time, served the Queen and the country very well.
00:18:12.980 Now, regardless of what he said here or said there, he does not deserve to have his bank accounts canceled.
00:18:19.940 All because Scotiabank, and I said Scotiabank, you know who I'm fucking talking about, Scotiabank.
00:18:25.160 Yeah, toss pockets, right?
00:18:27.400 And I'll say that.
00:18:29.100 I'll say that because I have just as much freedom as Mr. McKenzie and any other podcaster out there to call you on your shit, okay?
00:18:37.020 So, I'll summarize, ladies and gentlemen, if you know who Mr. Jeremy McKenzie is, he's a podcaster.
00:18:41.080 He has deemed as being some kind of far-right extremist because he created – and it's funny, when you think about it, Diagelon is a creation.
00:18:51.900 It's satire.
00:18:53.240 There's no intention for people in this country to get up and wave a so-called flag of the Diagelon nation and to go out and demand that Canada becomes this nation or the United States becomes this nation.
00:19:02.360 It's humor.
00:19:04.200 It's satire.
00:19:06.040 Yeah, a lot of politicians, especially on the liberal side, mainstream media, have said, oh, my God, he's a far-right extremist because he created a joke.
00:19:15.320 Okay, it's a goddamn joke.
00:19:17.460 Now, recently, the Bank of Nova Scotia gave him a 30-day warning saying, your business is no longer required here.
00:19:25.480 We're not going to honor your business.
00:19:27.380 We want you out kind of thing.
00:19:28.920 And he's forbidden to actually talk to any kind of heads of said banking institution.
00:19:36.300 He's not allowed into the branch that he dealt with, right, because I guess they deem him as dangerous.
00:19:42.520 And you know what's funny with that contrast, ladies and gentlemen?
00:19:44.840 Because when the Liberal government got elected, within a year of them being elected, they gave a known terrorist $10.5 million to do what he wants to do with.
00:19:56.220 Because of all the pain and suffering he incurred while being at Gitmo during his time with the Taliban and how he was raised to make bombs and to set explosives against Allied troops.
00:20:08.620 But because he was a Canadian citizen, he got a free pass and he was released from Gitmo and came back to Canada and given a $10.5 million reward for his pain and suffering.
00:20:21.980 And yet, when you have veterans in this country or anybody speak out against the status quo or speak out against the buffoonery and garbage that our leadership is presenting, you get your life ruined.
00:20:34.360 Wow, eh?
00:20:38.900 And then you still laugh at the Freedom Convoy?
00:20:42.060 You still laugh at the people that took a stand against the rhetoric, against the garbage?
00:20:48.480 Where are these leaders now standing up for people that are getting their bank accounts cancelled?
00:20:53.460 Now, I can see the opposition maybe speaking lightly in this in Parliament, which it did briefly, but they're not standing up for anybody.
00:21:06.460 And regardless of how you feel about an individual, okay?
00:21:10.360 If you agree with his policies or disagree with his policies, you don't forbid him to bank.
00:21:16.500 You don't forbid him to do things, to live his life, okay?
00:21:19.760 And that's what we're coming to, ladies and gentlemen.
00:21:23.180 We're coming to this ridiculous mandate of how, well, you have to think this way and walk this way and talk this way, or we're going to cancel your bank account, or we're going to raid your bank accounts, or we're going to freeze your bank accounts like they did in the convoy because they're stopping the terrorist threat, right?
00:21:38.500 So, context and contrast is out the effing window.
00:21:43.440 This is about their own agenda.
00:21:45.540 So, Mr. McKenzie and allies of Mr. McKenzie, if you're listening right now, I'm behind yous.
00:21:50.480 I'm with yous.
00:21:51.940 If you need something, reach out to me.
00:21:53.920 I'm easy to get a hold of.
00:21:55.640 Don't be shy.
00:21:56.880 But I'm with yous, brothers and sisters.
00:21:58.420 I'm with yous, right?
00:22:00.500 This shit's got to stop.
00:22:02.440 Like enough already.
00:22:03.420 And we're sitting on the cusp of World War III, possibly, okay?
00:22:09.100 We have a military that is still functioning somewhat because I still know people that are working there, and I'm gladly calling them my brothers and sisters.
00:22:17.140 But we have a leadership dynamic, and we have a procurement process that is so bloody outdated and so useless, they would rather give away tanks and give away armored vehicles to Ukraine rather than upgrade our own, right?
00:22:32.120 Because of virtue-totaling.
00:22:34.100 T-totaling virtue BS.
00:22:36.140 How else do I say it, ladies and gentlemen?
00:22:38.920 Get back to me on that.

00:23:16.040 And I'm also uploading on Getter, Instagram, Podbean, Twitter, Facebook, all that good stuff.
00:23:24.400 So you can find me there, ladies and gentlemen.
00:23:26.480 And we carry on again with more of the whole episode 200.
00:23:30.080 Now, I know I mentioned before episode 200, I'd have some prizes and giveaways, but I just haven't had time to get them procured.
00:23:36.860 No pun, ladies and gentlemen.
00:23:38.060 But when you look at that Freedom Convoy, those pictures in there, the unity that I personally felt, I haven't felt that kind of unity since Canada won the gold medal in 2010 in Vancouver.
00:23:49.740 That was a great feeling.
00:23:51.480 And when you saw all those trucks rolling down the highways and driving into Ottawa, that was a great feeling.
00:23:58.580 You know, and I've had a few debates and a few arguments with fellow vets in regards to that, too.
00:24:02.960 So, but I think it was a close thing to a Freedom Convoy this country's had in a long time.
00:24:08.420 Anything.
00:24:09.400 And it was the biggest protest, and it captivated the world, ladies and gentlemen.
00:24:13.320 And I still think that's something to be proud of.
00:24:15.440 And the people that stood with them, people that went to jail, people that got fined.
00:24:20.520 Wow.
00:24:21.120 You know, you just got to step back and go, well done.
00:24:24.380 You know, not that you got fined and went to jail, but you stood your effing ground.
00:24:27.180 And that's what we need, ladies and gentlemen.
00:24:28.560 Anyway, I come across an article here in the Toronto Sun.
00:24:32.880 I first found it in the Post Millennial.
00:24:34.100 I'll put links in the background or in the description there for you, ladies and gentlemen.
00:24:38.040 But basically, Canada Revenue Agency.
00:24:41.680 Now, to my American friends, they are just like your IRS.
00:24:45.800 They have to make sure that you're not making too much money, and you have to give them their fair share so they can divide it out to the populace.
00:24:53.840 You know how it goes, right?
00:24:55.060 Just more bullshit for more people to rob you and take away your hard-earned cash.
00:25:00.540 But I'll read this article, and I want you, my wonderful, glorious audience out there, to actually take it for what it is.
00:25:09.520 Because basically, it's BS.
00:25:11.620 So this is from Brian Lilly, a commentator and writer extraordinaire.
00:25:15.480 Federal workers demand the sun and the moon and to work from home in contract talks.
00:25:20.580 It's an opinion by Brian Lilly this past 23rd of January.
00:25:26.280 Yeah, like I say, I heard about this briefly, and I'm just like, oh, my God, really?
00:25:31.600 Our tax collectors want more money, which comes from taxpayers.
00:25:36.060 So give us 30% wage hike and pay us for meals when we work overtime at home, federal workers say.
00:25:41.940 Those are some of the demands of employees of the Canada Revenue Agency currently negotiating contracts post-pandemic.
00:25:49.220 It seems they've taken the Beatles classic song, Taxman, to heart when George Harrison sang, there's one for you, 19 for me, because I'm the taxman.
00:25:57.240 Why do you need money when you can give it to them, right?
00:25:59.960 Interesting, eh?
00:26:02.060 Workers with the Union of Taxation Employees, UT, a division of PSAC, once raises a 4.5% for the first year, followed by two successive increases of 8% a year on top of the taxman,
00:26:15.060 is demanding a one-time bump of 9% to put CRR workers on par with those of the Canada Border Services agencies.
00:26:21.540 Now, people that work at the CBSA are mobile.
00:26:24.760 They're not sitting in kiosks all the time, counting numbers, calling people up at random, saying, you better file your taxes or else.
00:26:32.040 You know, like, wow, hello, nurse.
00:26:36.420 Okay, we want to keep up with inflation, Mark Breer, National President of the Union of Taxation Employees, told the Ottawa Citizen in a recent interview.
00:26:43.780 I'd like a free car and a unicorn that can fly me around town.
00:26:46.840 Doesn't mean I'm going to get them, Breer says.
00:26:48.640 He wants to keep up with the inflation, but does that mean the inflation will back down 2% in a year, two of his contract, that we can adjust?
00:26:56.340 Likely not.
00:26:57.680 Meanwhile, the UTE and their colleagues at the Professional Institute of Public Services of Canada, PIPCIC, you know, another CRA union, are fighting to keep a meal penalty in place, even those working from home.
00:27:15.580 Like, okay, so if you're working at home, you want them to buy your lunch, too?
00:27:19.940 Holy fuck, can you say lazy?
00:27:21.920 Oh, my God.
00:27:23.680 Right?
00:27:24.000 I find to keep a meal penalty in place, even those working from home.
00:27:27.560 The contract negotiated pre-pandemic stated that anyone working three or more hours of overtime immediately before or immediately following their shift would be reimbursed $12 for meals unless a free meal was provided.
00:27:39.440 That makes sense if you're going to call someone in early to make them stay late paying for a combo at Subway, as the least you can do.
00:27:46.840 Having that in place for people who are working from home and who just can't walk to the fridge makes no sense at all.
00:27:52.700 Exactly.
00:27:53.100 Honestly, if you're sitting in a format just like I am, okay, with a shirt and tie on, dealing with clients or basically harassing clients, can you not get off your ass for 15 minutes and grab a sandwich from your own refrigerator or a can of soup or a can of beans, whatever you're fancy?
00:28:10.340 Falafel?
00:28:11.060 Waffle?
00:28:11.600 I don't know.
00:28:12.200 What the hell do you want?
00:28:13.380 Public servants tend not to only have higher pay and benefits of most comparable jobs in the private sector, but they also have better benefits in pensions.
00:28:23.620 Both UTE and PIPCIC workers are enrolled in defined benefit pension plans, the type of which most private sector employees haven't seen in decades.
00:28:33.080 Exactly.
00:28:34.720 But go on, keep fighting to get your meal penalties at home and your 30% increase in salary while mostly working from home while the rest of us struggle.
00:28:41.620 Don't worry, there's a food bank nearby that can feed the rest of us while you bilk the taxpayers.
00:28:46.400 Did I mention the CRA workers are also fighting a requirement to work at least two days a week from the office?
00:28:51.600 Right.
00:28:52.120 So I'm not going to read the rest of this.
00:28:53.400 This is just bullshit.
00:28:54.800 It's self-explanatory.
00:28:56.320 It's like a sense of entitlement.
00:28:58.240 It's like you're dealing with a bunch of millennials who worry more about their feelings and their faith bases rather than getting the fucking job done.
00:29:06.440 Now, you've heard me rant and rave, ladies and gentlemen, in regards to the whole taxation thing.
00:29:14.340 On average, I'm paying anywhere from $1,580 to about $1,625.
00:29:18.860 That's $1,600.25 a month in taxes for my job and for my pension.
00:29:24.600 Okay, and I actually got a few nasty phone calls from the CRA there a few months back saying, oh, we're going to penalize you if you don't file.
00:29:32.840 It's very, very important that you call us.
00:29:35.440 We're going to send you a penalty.
00:29:37.940 And yet they turn around and demand this shit.
00:29:41.500 This is what I say to them.
00:29:42.860 And when you think about it, the amount of times that people have been dinged on taxes since 2015, they deserve, well, they deserve absolutely nothing.
00:30:04.160 How else do I say it?
00:30:05.460 Because as far as I know, based on the research that I did last year, the average CRA worker that looks at all these files and assesses people's income and what they take and what they earn, they're making anywhere from $65,000 to $75,000 a year.
00:30:23.700 I don't make that a year.
00:30:26.360 I don't.
00:30:28.540 Because everybody got a pay raise during the pandemic.
00:30:31.160 MPs, MP staff, government workers inside parliament, and other government offices around the Capitol.
00:30:39.720 A lot of people got raises.
00:30:42.120 I didn't.
00:30:43.120 My wife didn't.
00:30:44.300 My friends didn't.
00:30:45.400 My parents didn't.
00:30:46.740 Did you?
00:30:47.720 Did you get a raise?
00:30:49.460 And now they have the audacity to ding the taxpayer even more.
00:30:53.340 I'll leave the links and everything in my description, ladies and gentlemen, for you to follow and to enjoy at your leisure.
00:30:58.700 You know, submitted for your approval.
00:31:01.160 But I think you get my point here.
00:31:03.520 Right?
00:31:04.000 So a year after said trucker's convoy, people are still saying the so-called freedom convoy.
00:31:11.780 It was a freedom convoy because it opened up people's eyes.
00:31:15.060 It opened up the world.
00:31:15.980 And it made our liberal government look like a bunch of buffoons.
00:31:20.160 It did.
00:31:20.740 And some of our conservative politicians and some of our indie politicians and other politicians that sat there and clenched their pearls and held in their farts because they were scared.
00:31:31.840 You should be.
00:31:34.240 Right?
00:31:34.620 You should be.
00:31:37.260 Because that just goes to prove that there's a lot of Canucks out there like yours truly.
00:31:42.060 It's not going to take this shit anymore.
00:31:45.680 Period.
00:31:46.820 Why should we?
00:31:48.360 Okay?
00:31:48.580 I'll start paying my taxes when you stop demanding a 30% increase.
00:31:53.580 I will start filing my taxes when we get a balanced budget again because you individuals were hired to do that job.
00:32:01.980 But there's billions missing here.
00:32:04.120 Billions missing there.
00:32:05.640 Something along the lines of some McKinsey consulting firm receiving $104 million since Justin got into power in 2015.
00:32:16.260 Right?
00:32:17.000 Something to think about, ladies and gentlemen.
00:32:19.560 Something to ponder and put away.
00:32:22.720 Hmm.
00:32:23.640 So where are we going?
00:32:24.700 So what's going to happen a year from now too?
00:32:26.340 What's going to happen six months from now too?
00:32:28.300 Is there going to be another convoy?
00:32:29.540 Is there going to be a battle someplace?
00:32:31.980 Is World War III going to happen?
00:32:35.340 I hope none of it happens.
00:32:37.820 I hope people learn to wake up and I hope some of these leaders will just let go of the reins.
00:32:41.840 Get rid of their red tape bullshit.
00:32:43.840 Get rid of their bureaucratic garbage.
00:32:46.240 And start letting Canucks be Canucks again, ladies and gentlemen.
00:32:49.840 It's that simple.
00:32:51.520 Anyhow, I've been Krusty Canuck on this beautiful 30th of January 2023.
00:32:55.820 I wish nothing but good things for all yous out there.
00:32:58.700 Right?
00:32:59.380 Like I say too, if you get an opportunity, give someone a hand moving some snow, helping someone dig out their car.
00:33:05.720 Maybe send a few bucks to the local food bank for groceries.
00:33:08.720 Donate what you can to people.
00:33:11.360 Donate what you want to me too, if you want.
00:33:13.740 I know I'm not expecting.
00:33:14.580 I'm not going to sit here and demand cash from people.
00:33:16.680 You know, but if you want to donate, links are in my description.
00:33:19.800 Five, ten dollars, whatever you want to do, ladies and gentlemen, that is fine.
00:33:22.400 I don't demand anything.
00:33:24.040 But if you want to, the option's there for you too.
00:33:25.680 Check out my store, Customized Girl, Krusty Canuck, gear there too.
00:33:29.420 Links in the description as well.
00:33:31.240 And go from there, ladies and gentlemen.
00:33:34.180 Like I say, I have been Krusty Canuck on this beautiful 30th of January 2023.
00:33:38.980 I wish nothing but good things for all of you and yours.
00:33:41.620 Do what you can to help each other in these trying times.
00:33:43.660 Let's make the best of what we have and try to make it better.
00:33:48.380 And like I always say, ladies and gentlemen, humanity and merit wins the day.
00:33:53.120 Take care and I'll see you next time.
00:33:55.260 Bye for now.
00:34:00.520 Hit it, sweetheart.
00:34:02.780 Because I am hard, you will not like me.
00:34:05.300 Yes, sir.
00:34:09.020 There is no racial bigotry here.
00:34:13.660 There you are all in what we want.
00:34:17.980 This has been another episode of the Krusty Canuck podcast.
00:34:21.860 Stay safe.
00:34:22.860 And thank you for listening.
00:34:24.340 From Western Canada.
00:34:25.700 This is the Krusty Canuck podcast.
00:34:31.160 Well, smack my ass and call me Judy.
