00:02:44.440 you can find the crusting up podcast wherever you find fine podcasts today yes okay i'm digressing

00:02:50.240 anyhow like i said telecrow said rex murphy canadian icon my american audience out there uh he's up there

00:02:56.280 i could say yeah i'll compare him to walter cronkite i'll compare him to let's say peter jennings

00:03:02.320 and other great american broadcasters uh i grew up with rex murphy you know i remember watching the cbc

00:03:10.940 with my parents when the cbc had something valuable to say or something to promote and rex murphy always

00:03:16.520 had his editorials and i remember the countless satire that was uh made because of him uh i think

00:03:23.300 wayne schuster did a parody of him uh when this hour had 22 minutes was actually a funny tv series

00:03:28.340 mark critch canadian comedian uh made fun of him uh but needless to say he's a very he was a very

00:03:36.020 well educated man uh i spent some time at oxford um the quintessential writer as far as i can as far

00:03:44.580 as how else do you describe a man that's just written some great things and done some great

00:03:49.380 editorials um a canadian hero is gone um 77 years old passed away yesterday from cancer i had no idea

00:03:57.880 the man was sick but you know uh some people keep things private and rightfully so i remember watching

00:04:03.220 him with jordan peterson other politicians and asking the tough questions and he had a great

00:04:07.640 conversation with jordan peterson in regards to the whole woke isms and the plate of canadian politics

00:04:13.540 as we see it today i think it was last year he had to sit down and talk with him it was just a great

00:04:17.800 discussion uh so rex murphy you will be sorely missed uh icon of a human being uh i really enjoyed

00:04:26.340 your work i really enjoyed your editorials and it's a damn shame uh i kind of wish you stuck around

00:04:31.520 uh to see the results of a next election if it was going to happen i know your disdain and your

00:04:37.280 mistrust for the liberal brand that uh uh trudeau jr has put together for all of us here um but uh

00:04:45.740 good journeys to you sir and my condolences to your family and to everyone who loved you um

00:04:52.400 all i can say is yeah you'll be missed sir uh what i'll do ladies and gentlemen i will read in

00:04:58.140 his last article that he wrote for the national post and uh it's really really descriptive and

00:05:06.940 how he dissects how our beloved prime minister mr trudeau yes has treated individuals in this

00:05:14.360 country since october 7th yeah i'm talking about the jewish people and the plight that's been going

00:05:19.240 on since then um i'll summarize some of it it's a six minute read so i will read the whole article for

00:05:25.520 is so if you end up falling asleep during my show my apologies but i i just have to give this man a

00:05:31.100 good tribute because he's just really he's really woken up a lot of people uh to the plight of the

00:05:37.660 way things are going in this country in north america to the world and just some really really good

00:05:42.020 insight he comes from humble beginnings too so he he was not born rich he was not born wealthy

00:05:46.460 he comes from basically blue collar background of newfoundland and he he paid his dues

00:05:52.840 so i think the best way to contribute to him is read his work and promote it to the best of

00:05:57.580 our abilities ladies and gentlemen uh you know i'll just uh cue this up here uh after this uh fantastic

00:06:04.140 uh message as always you know but uh i know it's just a damn shame we lost another icon

00:06:11.680 uh because there's not too many journalists like him that are still around today that are really in

00:06:17.360 depth and really get to the truth a lot of independent journalists out there that do it

00:06:23.060 but not to the same caliber as mr rex murphy i'll show you right after this stay updated and follow

00:06:30.780 crusty canuck on facebook twitter gap telegram youtube and podbean subscribe today and donate at

00:06:38.720 crustycanuck.ca and that's right ladies and gentlemen welcome back to episode 278 of the

00:06:47.400 crusty canuck podcast rest in peace mr rex murphy and of course the cbc bsing us again i'm your host

00:06:53.660 crusty canuck and i'll just queue up here the article for you all and prepare to listen and observe take

00:07:00.140 notes if you want to just kidding but uh it's just been in some interesting times and he nails it too

00:07:06.280 so um how else do i say it i'll read it along i'll keep this article posted in my description

00:07:13.740 for you all and you can read it at your leisure uh if you want to listen by all means listen

00:07:19.220 so let's just say i'll cue this up here and this was the last thing he wrote apparently before he passed

00:07:26.640 away so excuse me it's kind of a a special article he wrote this uh on the 7th and he passed away

00:07:35.840 yesterday on the 9th so uh rex murphy trudeau faced an essential moral test after october 7th

00:07:42.840 he failed it our loudly proudly self-proclaimed first male feminist prime minister was silent

00:07:49.800 on the horrid tortures and rapes of israeli women so uh dated the 7th of may 2024

00:07:57.400 so on october 7th cowardly medieval murder cult campus heroes hamas took the lives of over 1200 jews

00:08:04.480 without warning at a music festival chased toyed with beating every jew they could find hunted them

00:08:10.340 down tormented them raped them shot them a great incident orgastic jubilation over a massacre of 0.97

00:08:16.860 innocent jews of an intensity of enormity not seeing the domestic practice of jew hating jew destroying 0.99

00:08:22.360 nazism the greatest puncture in that useless lying balloon of never again quote unquote since that 0.99

00:08:28.600 failed slogan was first muttered jews massacred in their homeland jews killed again hamas is a 0.98

00:08:35.020 squalid tradition there's a lot of himmler in hamas there was also a deep cruelty the sadism of taking

00:08:40.600 hostages ripping families asunder if they did not kill them scooping up babies young children keeping

00:08:45.680 a special eye out for pretty girls dragging over 250 innocent people of all ages to hamas web of dirt 1.00

00:08:50.900 tunnels how could a man look in the eyes of 10 month old infant and sunder him from his family

00:08:55.600 how can men rape and beat so many female hostages october 7th was an enormity i say again on historic 0.93

00:09:02.340 scale or an equivalent atrocity to have fallen on muslims somewhere in the west this world of ours 0.96

00:09:08.060 would be spinning into the sun on the strength of universal and ferocious denunciations but hey this

00:09:13.940 was israel those killed raped and kidnapped were jews jews lived in israel so this runs on a totally

00:09:19.580 different moral and political plateau the ambush of unarmed civilians on october 7th demanded

00:09:25.180 and still demands a clarion statement from our leaders of totally unambiguous support for

00:09:30.320 israel a visit to relations of those killed and those still hoping for release of their family

00:09:34.920 members held hostage and they're still hostages by the way ladies and gentlemen all right where has

00:09:42.300 justin trudeau been where's the utter denunciation of hamas and those complicit with hamas and mass

00:09:47.740 murder mass rape and mass kidnapping and where was mr trudeau's message to the green flag flying

00:09:52.920 activists that israel is not genocidal an accusation ludicrous lying and insolent at the same time 0.74

00:09:59.060 after his clumsy incompetent amateur eight-year eight-year holiday as prime minister our country

00:10:04.200 canada is diminished on the world stage and worrisome scattered and incohesive on the home front

00:10:10.860 canada has quote-unquote no core values according to the one person most responsible for nursing the

00:10:16.020 core values of the nation and so the world has no sense of where canada really stands because

00:10:21.180 we really don't have a stand and by trudeau's lights our post-nationalist canada quote-unquote

00:10:27.360 of no core values quote-unquote just by definition alone has nothing to say

00:10:32.860 in brackets query should a post-nationalist state have a seat at the un or the united nations

00:10:38.620 our pride parades and infatuation with global warming enough to fuse a great country

00:10:43.960 into one magnificent union don't think so but that's really all we've seen from mr trudeau

00:10:50.040 political cowardice the fear of losing some of the muslim vote has trudeau and jolly responding

00:10:56.080 to anti-semitism by dusting off tattered platitudes this is not who we are as canadians

00:11:02.000 or some equivalent equally flaccid slogan crafted by a herd of consultants and speech writers 0.99

00:11:08.020 that's the thing the trudeau government does love his consultants right fuck they pay enough of 0.98

00:11:12.880 them he has no moral force to exert he has no high presence in the world's leadership 0.98

00:11:17.560 his flightly antics and frequent displays of incompetence have left him an isolate on the

00:11:23.400 world platform essentially his sad record internationally is unintellectually his mind

00:11:28.620 is not overclouded with ideas and the obsessional tie to global warming fantasies serious leaders may

00:11:34.760 mouth the words these days but the global warming juggernaut is bogged down have combined to place

00:11:40.080 him outside the adults who do rule the nations of the world he is no one's wise man i hear that u of t

00:11:49.240 a jew must show proof of anti-israel beliefs to be allowed in his or her own campus i hear that have 0.72

00:11:56.360 been firebombing at synagogues and hate graffiti i hear that individual jews have been harassed and

00:12:01.420 threatened it would be so interesting to see the response of these of these phenomena if it were say 0.98

00:12:06.860 muslims instead of jews who are bearing the freight of atavistic hate and murderous intent 1.00

00:12:13.440 to see a muslim professor get barred from his office on a toronto campus or a black feminist 0.99

00:12:22.280 specializing in colonialism having your speech drowned out what a world of difference the coverage

00:12:27.720 would show what intense concern and this this difference everyone already knows it to be true

00:12:34.920 or to switch examples it's the same when 10 or 30 or 60 christian churches are burned in canada

00:12:41.880 burning churches while highly undesirable is we've been told from the highest canadian political level

00:12:46.920 nonetheless quote-unquote understandable remember when mr uh gerald butt said that yeah there's one

00:12:55.720 particular dimension of the horrid acts of october 7th that cries for particular notice one area in

00:13:00.520 which the failure of justin trudeau's egregious and collapse of his most visible values and must

00:13:07.000 be both obvious and depressing to his own partisans we never did get to hear our loudly proudly

00:13:15.160 self-proclaimed first male feminist prime minister show any serious extended response to the horrid 0.99

00:13:20.220 tortures beatings rapes kidnappings and murder of israeli women girls and infants remember because a lot

00:13:26.180 of people don't seem to want to remember this was an unprovoked mass killing by armed and hate-saturated

00:13:31.500 palestinians as the records and films show quote-unquote they filmed their own bestiality 0.82

00:13:37.560 it took special malignant pleasure from the horrors rape and murder of jewish women women as children 1.00

00:13:43.040 teenagers parents and elderly hamas loves to hate women 0.99

00:13:46.480 up yours hamas what my male feminist pm kept you from taking the podium in your back blackest 1.00

00:13:55.980 denunciation mode where most progressive all progressive pms was your soul tormented outcry 0.90

00:14:02.480 that women and girls were being raped and beaten their dead emulated bodies put an exhibit to cheering 0.99

00:14:06.960 palestinians and for the girls kidnapped to serve as hostages and quote-unquote sexual relief 0.86

00:14:12.720 for the criminals of hamas this was sexism at the murder and torture level this was feminism hamas style 0.60

00:14:20.020 all of which comes to the sad point that our own universities and streets are now venues for the

00:14:25.820 vilest anti-semitism jews in canada are and rightly are fearful where are the assurances explicitly stated

00:14:33.100 and backed by every state authority that anti-semitism will when applicable be punished or at the very least

00:14:39.300 those who practice it be placed in ostracism and scorned after eight years as prime minister

00:14:45.600 trudeau is presented with a singular historic and essential moral choice to make he has a moment to

00:14:51.580 make clear to the world what that choice is the choice is to stand with democratic israel to rebuke

00:14:57.960 the insolent lies about genocide and apartheid to name hamas for the total sadistic villain it is 0.97

00:15:03.860 to scream to the world condemning the defilement rape and murder of israeli women and girls 0.99

00:15:09.100 and to dismiss the moronic and morally unstable students on the canadian campuses and their 1.00

00:15:15.020 infatuation with terrorist organizations sorry rex you should have mentioned those communist bastards 0.99

00:15:20.400 too nonetheless and beyond all the furiously condemned anti-semitism and have no truck at all 0.99

00:15:26.600 with those who harbor that diseased practice of the world's most hateful losers

00:15:30.520 do you think you'll make that choice those choices not very likely there are plastic bags to ban 0.72

00:15:38.480 military men's rooms to be stocked with tampons gay monuments to plan all these greatly surpassed in 0.99

00:15:44.180 trudeau's world some world some distance friction in the history middle east and their minor discomforts

00:15:49.900 priorities priorities so there you go ladies and gentlemen i'll read that again well i'll read that

00:16:01.380 paragraph again do you think he'll make that choice those choices not very likely there are plastic bags

00:16:08.280 to ban military men's rooms to be stocked with tampons gay monuments to plan all these greatly 0.99

00:16:14.760 surpassed in trudeau's world some distant friction in the history middle east and the minor discomforts

00:16:21.760 it's kind of sad that mr murphy had to leave on that note but needless to say ladies and gentlemen

00:16:30.400 he makes a valid point where are the priorities here the tables were turned what would happen

00:16:37.740 if the tables were turned what would happen to us what would happen to you what happened to our

00:16:43.340 neighbors our friends right if you look at some news footage from calgary the calgary police have

00:16:50.020 broken up some of the protests at the campuses there too full riot gear pushing these people off

00:16:54.940 like i've said numerous times ladies and gentlemen i'm all for freedom of speech demonstrate freedom

00:16:59.660 of expression but we're seeing the dynamic shift here in our priorities and our leadership alike so

00:17:07.380 i don't care if you're muslim i don't care if you're jewish i don't care if you're christian 0.79

00:17:11.580 you practice whatever faith is good for you you go by your light and you let it shine as bright as

00:17:17.180 you want to but the moment you take favor for what hamas did i think everything you believe in will

00:17:24.320 come to a crashing halt and you're going to have to get a dose of reality one way or the other

00:18:46.380 help us connect get our words out there so bill c63 does not come to fruition keep the censorship

00:18:52.760 out of canada big time anyway before i get too emotional and have a moment or two okay with the

00:19:01.120 rest of the podcast so the cbc is crying poor basically they're handing more bs to the masses in regards to

00:19:07.840 how much money they need how much more garbage they need and catherine tate the president of cbc and radio

00:19:15.580 canada to my francais listeners uh she lives in new york she lives in brooklyn new york so this lady 0.96

00:19:24.580 doesn't even live in canada i know she's canadian citizen but she spends her time at her home in

00:19:29.420 brooklyn and then you know calling the shots in toronto at cbc headquarters so i got a story here from 0.79

00:19:35.100 lauren gunter uh excellent writer you know um very pro how do you say very pro anti-bullshit

00:19:43.960 he's extremely anti-bullshit uh but needless to say he does a good editorial uh on uh catherine

00:19:50.980 tate's plight or blight in regards to how much money these executives get now this year based on

00:19:58.420 the budget okay you've heard me rant about the budget before the cbc will be getting an additional

00:20:03.220 42 million bucks in taxpayer funds now to my american listeners out there the cbc is a state broadcast it

00:20:10.580 works in the same principles kind of what the bbc does in britain okay uh there is some private money

00:20:16.580 that goes into it some people do invest to it but it's basically a crown corporation which means it's

00:20:22.080 totally funded by the government okay now the cbc has lost money since 2015 with advertisement and

00:20:28.620 low viewership probably because they put on subpar programming okay they've ruined hockey night in

00:20:34.540 canada all right they've ruined a lot of good up and coming shows they've bastardized a lot of canadian

00:20:41.700 content and they really really promote a lot of wokey wokey pokey jokey bs okay and when they talk

00:20:51.500 about misinformation and disinformation how many times you've heard that excuse before right they're

00:20:57.340 the front runners of it they are the probably the biggest gaslighting media outlet in north america

00:21:04.020 next to cnn okay and i've seen the shift in the past 10 years how things go i actually used to watch

00:21:13.020 some decent shows in cbc at one time you've heard me rant about this before ladies and gentlemen

00:21:16.520 i remember as a kid watching wayne and schuster uh beachcombers freaking um there's a show called

00:21:22.420 seeing things about a guy who had some deja vu kind of powers and it was it was kind of cool

00:21:26.500 kind of comedic too uh they used to have some great content for kids i mean people of all ages

00:21:31.720 used to be some decent dramas that used to be on right so with all the money that cbc is getting how

00:21:37.360 come they cannot make a great drama series you know they've got a few you know that have some

00:21:44.720 popularity just enough to keep them going but how about some real hard drama how about a cop drama

00:21:50.560 right how about that there's an idea put them put your money where your mouth is there cbc put your 0.98

00:21:58.920 taxpayers money where your mouth is and let the taxpayers have some good quality fucking television 0.94

00:22:04.320 but no you don't want to see that so i'll queue up the video here that lauren gunter has done 0.98

00:22:08.340 uh just to prove my point and the point of a lot of the canadians out there they're really disappointed

00:22:14.380 with how the cbc is going and how it's been turning people off the past 10 years uh i just

00:22:22.460 i don't know because my wife and i we don't watch cbc anymore sometimes we might get some editorials

00:22:28.520 sometimes we might get a story i've shared some cbc articles on my podcast but it's really nothing

00:22:34.880 to to cry about honestly but ladies and gentlemen you decide

00:22:39.060 catherine tate the haughty detached pompous president of the canadian broadcasting corporation

00:23:01.280 appeared before the commons heritage committee on tuesday and she peddled the same line she peddled

00:23:07.840 there in february and that is the cbc doesn't pay bonuses conservative mp said how can you be cutting

00:23:15.460 800 jobs at the cbc and still paying all your executives bonuses tate said oh my goodness we do not pay

00:23:27.680 bonuses we pay performance incentives it's the same thing arose by any other name

00:23:37.220 if you are being paid for your job and the cbc pays very generously the people who work there

00:23:45.240 if you're being paid to perform your job that's your performance pay if you get something on top

00:23:53.200 of that at the end of the year that's a bonus and i'll tell you why i know that this is what the cbc

00:24:00.460 also thinks internally the canadian taxpayers federation has done tremendous work uncovering

00:24:07.520 the bonuses paid by the cbc since the liberals came to power in 2015 last year they found that

00:24:14.300 the cbc paid 1100 of its 7700 employees bonuses that's an average of about 14 000 each or nearly

00:24:24.480 15 million dollars now tate was going to come to the heritage committee this week to plead poverty

00:24:31.360 oh my goodness the liberals are only giving us 1.4 billion dollars a year how can you expect us to

00:24:40.420 survive on that and they've cut 800 jobs despite the fact that they're getting a subsidy from taxpayers

00:24:48.840 1.4 billion dollars a year they've cut their local tv broadcasts back a huge amount now you get one

00:25:01.240 newscast a day from the cbc from your local region and even many of those are going the way of the dodo

00:25:09.780 the cbc does not provide national service on any kind of level that it used to but it's going to give

00:25:19.760 all of its executives all 1100 of them bonuses we're waiting until friday of this week to find out how much

00:25:28.100 they were given most recently but you can bet that it's still in the range of around 14 000

00:25:35.300 a year does your does your employer give you 1200 extra dollars a month and then say no no no no no

00:25:44.720 that's not a bonus it's it's performance pay of course they don't nobody does that and nobody could

00:25:49.960 believe what tate was saying she is a serial dissembler she doesn't like being called a liar one of the 0.99

00:25:58.000 conservative mps called her a liar and that is a harsh word so let's call her a dissembler 1.00

00:26:02.740 she takes a word she tries to hide its meaning she uses a different phrase for exactly the same thing

00:26:11.120 the cbc pays bonuses to about 1100 of its 7700 employees and those bonuses average around 1200

00:26:22.900 a month that's pretty substantial now i don't watch the cbc and i don't listen to the cbc

00:26:31.380 occasionally i will catch a hockey game and the only place i can watch it is on cbc

00:26:35.640 and then i have to concede and give up my boycott but i won't watch their news coverage because i do

00:26:43.160 not think it's fair i think it's horribly one-sided and yet tate still says the cbc is the best organ

00:26:52.800 canada has to combat to combat disinformation no it's not it it it pumps out its own disinformation

00:27:04.080 and i won't watch it and i won't listen to it and i deeply resent having to contribute the 1.4

00:27:11.920 billion a year that they get from tax dollars for post media i'm loren gunter

00:27:17.900 yeah so 14 000 bucks a year if you must be nice so 1200 extra money to do what you know oh it's not

00:27:38.280 a bonus it's performance yeah yes it's a bonus you're skimming right what is skimming going on

00:27:46.480 these days what is skimming going on with uh you know people's money you know taxpayers money

00:27:51.880 right taxpayers money going out to cra because you're going to file your taxes in here and yet

00:27:57.780 there's two employees in the same revenue that have been fired or investigated still for double

00:28:04.360 dipping during the pandemic and cbc execs sitting there rewarding themselves for subpar effort

00:28:09.480 so there's a great sense of entitlement out there that's being exposed

00:28:13.940 recently uh public service unions uh well public service unions are sitting there demanding better

00:28:22.120 work better work at better offices because they're being forced to work three days out of the week

00:28:27.580 in their offices oh it must be hard you actually got a report to your job and your job at the office

00:28:36.000 three days out of the week oh the humanity oh how dare you there are people that climb hydro pools and

00:28:45.300 towers and dig big big holes to make sure that plumbing is is working to make sure power is working

00:28:51.680 when we had those cold snaps this this winter a lot of people driving the highways making sure the

00:28:57.240 lights people that are paying for it and people at the cbc are getting bonuses

00:29:06.000 and public union service workers are upset because they have to go to work

00:29:11.400 at their office three days out of the week well when i do my chef

00:29:15.300 i get up at four in the morning i get ready to go to work report for six get my trucks ready

00:29:25.960 i'll hold my co-workers as best i can and start cleaning cannabis

00:29:29.960 that's done i do maintenance and i sweep

00:29:33.000 i use manure my music clay

00:29:35.500 sometimes i use tractor

00:29:41.900 other times i do maintenance so it's a pretty long day it's about a 10-hour day

00:29:46.300 everything goes right it's about a 10-hour day

00:29:48.800 i drive a half hour home

00:29:50.840 okay so i drive a half hour to half hour back

00:29:54.700 i get a decent pay but the other pains we're living paycheck to paycheck so it's getting difficult

00:30:01.300 and what annoys me is that you have these executives who pay taxpayer dollars

00:30:06.740 that's not for cbc you get more executives who work for the public service union whatever

00:30:12.840 public service workers okay and they're complaining about having to go to work three days out of the week

00:30:17.720 because they want remote work or because they don't want to impact the environment or they want the impact here 0.99

00:30:24.620 here's a fucking impact for you 0.99

00:30:27.920 how about some reality 1.00

00:30:30.360 okay

00:30:31.960 if you're going to accept taxpayer dollars 1.00

00:30:34.720 you better do your goddamn job 1.00

00:30:37.660 that's simple 1.00

00:30:39.020 now before i get mad
