00:05:27.240 Times in 2010, which exposed widespread child sexual exploitation in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
00:05:34.820 Except Tommy Robinson founded the English Defense League in 2009 to bring attention to the

00:06:20.620 addressing the crimes, partly due to fears of being accused of racism.
00:06:26.220 Rockdale, similar patterns were found where girls were left at the mercy of grooming gangs
00:06:31.740 for years, with failures by local authorities noted.
00:06:36.400 Telford, another town where reviews indicated significant child sexual exploitation with little
00:06:42.360 initial response from local authorities.

00:08:14.700 One man who had been highlighting the scandal while most of the UK was covering it up.
00:08:21.500 His real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, goes by Tommy Robinson.
00:08:24.880 To deflect blame, and rather than focus on the problem, certain politicians in the media
00:08:29.420 turned their ire to Tommy while he's currently sitting in solitary confinement for nine months
00:08:34.040 for contempt of court.
00:08:35.420 But more than that later, the mainstream media have labeled Tommy a thug, a criminal, and 0.96
00:08:39.720 even a wife-beater. 0.82
00:08:40.460 So let's talk about who Tommy is, and what is so awful about him.
00:08:44.480 I think I may have met Tommy once when I was in the UK.
00:08:47.440 I'm not quite sure.
00:08:48.280 But I did interview him recently.
00:08:49.880 And I know a lot of people who have worked with him.
00:08:52.340 I know a lot of people who don't like him.
00:08:54.460 And my assessment, I stand by what I said to peers.

00:09:33.520 He grew up in Luton, a small town in England, quickly went from being a normal British town
00:09:37.580 to majority non-white.
00:09:38.960 The white ethnic group makes up 45.2% of the population of Luton, meaning there's a non-white 0.86
00:09:44.420 majority in the town.
00:09:45.940 The next largest ethnic group is Asian, which increased from 60,952 in 2011 to 83,325 in
00:09:54.120 2021.
00:09:55.320 The Asian, also known as Middle Eastern, that's how they describe it in the UK, the group
00:09:59.640 there makes up 37% of the population of Luton.
00:10:02.240 Over time, Tommy says his neighborhood changed drastically, and not in a good way.
00:10:08.040 His cousin was a victim of a grooming gang.
00:10:10.700 Tommy took to the streets, organizing demonstrations, printing out leaflets, highlighting the problems
00:10:15.680 with the grooming gangs and Islamic extremism.
00:10:18.940 From there, he started a group called the English Defense League.
00:10:23.000 And this is where the slander starts, the slander of Tommy.
00:10:25.980 The English Defense League grew so big and spread to towns and cities became increasingly out
00:10:29.840 of control, and when Nazis infiltrated in 2013, Tommy disbanded the organization.
00:10:35.700 But let's go over the allegations.
00:10:37.960 Assaulting an officer.
00:10:39.560 Before his activism, when he was about 19, in 2004, Tommy and his wife, then his girlfriend,
00:10:45.200 were having an argument, leaving a club and a bar, when an off-duty cop decided to physically
00:10:49.140 intervene.
00:10:50.020 The cop assaulted Tommy first.
00:10:51.680 Tommy won the fight.
00:10:52.660 But at the end, kicked a man in the head.
00:10:54.560 Yeah, he probably shouldn't have done that.
00:10:55.620 But Robinson was convicted of assault, occasioning actual bodily harm, and assault with intent
00:11:01.480 to resist arrest against an off-duty officer in July of 2004.
00:11:07.140 Robinson received sentences of 12 months and three months, which were served concurrently.
00:11:12.360 This is where the false allegations of woman abuse come into play. 0.98
00:11:15.240 People assume that Tommy was being physical with his girlfriend.

00:11:49.580 Now, just like Trump, anxious to silence Tommy, they went routing through his whole life.

00:11:58.940 payment by Tommy on a house.
00:12:01.380 Tommy was told if he took responsibility, they would stop going after his family, so he took

00:12:06.260 You can see from the court documents, he's not even the person that applied for the mortgage.
00:12:10.040 So Tommy lent his brother-in-law money to buy a house, and that's a crime two years after
00:12:14.340 the fact, and the bank got their money.
