00:00:10.780 Like tea time you.

00:00:12.760 Mmm.

00:00:13.580 Or this tea time you.

00:00:16.120 Or even this tea time you.

00:00:18.680 So did you hear about Dave?

00:00:19.900 Or even tea time, tea time, tea time you.

00:00:22.800 Mmm.

00:00:23.760 So update on Dave.

00:00:25.780 It's up to you. We'll take the laundry. 0.56

00:00:28.060 Rinse. It's time to be great.

00:00:30.460 Stu says, we're headed for civil war and we're all about to die.

00:00:34.240 Now I thought that was a little bit hasty.

00:00:35.840 I didn't say that.

00:00:37.360 Well, you have to listen to yourself and you decide.

00:00:40.500 Did he say it or not?

00:00:41.420 Also, exercise your faith in God.

00:00:43.120 He is not neutral in the affairs of men.

00:00:45.960 A phone call that I took today, you really have to hear.

00:00:48.740 Because I think a lot of people feel the way this caller did.

00:00:51.740 Also, John Seidel joins us to discuss his new book, Confessions of a Christian Alcoholic.

00:00:56.900 All of that and so much more on today's broadcast.

00:01:00.000 Let me tell you about good ranchers.

00:01:01.120 In a world where most everything seems imported, it's still easy to forget that America knows how to feed itself.

00:01:06.480 Thankfully, good ranchers exist to prove that we do.

00:01:09.080 Every cut they sell, every steak, every chicken breast, every burger comes from 100% American farms and ranches.

00:01:15.240 You know, the president just did something that I don't agree with because it's hurting our ranchers and they're going to have a hard time.

00:01:23.620 It's so important that you help our ranchers and you support American ranches.

00:01:29.800 When you open a box from good ranchers, you're getting more than just meat.

00:01:32.880 You're supporting families who refuse to outsource their livelihoods and they're standing up for a way of life that still believes in quality, hard work, and doing things right the American way.

00:01:42.680 Every package is vacuum sealed, flash frozen, delivered straight to your door, fresher than the supermarket and better than any imported that you'll find from, you know, half a world away. 0.88

00:02:52.080 And thanks for standing with us.

00:02:53.340 Now let's get to work.

00:03:01.600 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:03:06.140 Let me ask you something.

00:03:07.860 You go to work.

00:03:08.860 You're working with somebody you've worked with for 30 years and they say to you, you know, if you've ever really seriously considered alternative citizenship, you should really consider it right now.

00:03:24.260 How do you take that?

00:03:28.060 What is that?

00:03:29.900 That friend trying to say to you, Stu?

00:03:33.840 I mean, it could be that I have information that I'm going to give to the government about your illegal poker games.

00:03:38.540 What the hell is that?

00:03:39.720 Well, I mean, I was thinking about it a little bit.

00:03:42.640 Uh-huh.

00:03:43.440 This is what he said to me in the break.

00:03:45.380 He just we were talking about other things.

00:03:47.260 We were like, OK, we got to talk about this.

00:03:48.540 We got to talk about this.

00:03:49.300 And by the way, Glenn, if you've ever really considered alternative citizenship, now is probably the time to do it.

00:03:55.040 I'm like, excuse me, what?

00:03:56.780 Well, 10 seconds.

00:03:58.280 Wait a minute.

00:03:58.860 What?

00:04:00.280 My thought process was, you know, there was a there was a truce of sorts in our country where you didn't go after your political enemies with the force of law.

00:04:17.380 The Democrats decided, if you remember recently, that they were going to break that truce and just dissolve all of the traditions that we had in that area by trying to throw Donald Trump in prison over and over and over again.

00:04:31.880 Now, you may have noted that, you know, we are having a situation where I think this is going to be the norm going forward.

00:04:40.880 And when the next Democrat gets in office, I I'm not saying you're at the top of the list to get thrown into a gulag, but you're not at the bottom of it.

00:04:52.020 Right.

00:04:52.360 So this and you're just going to skate.

00:04:54.740 You're just fine.

00:04:55.920 Oh, I I turn state's evidence immediately on you.

00:04:59.940 So the easiest thing in the world for me, because I can just go in there and be like, oh, let me tell you all the stuff I know about.

00:05:05.700 And I'm free.

00:05:07.540 I think I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

00:05:10.240 But I do think, you know, you know, Donald Trump's not going to be president forever.

00:05:15.340 What country?

00:05:16.660 Well, imagine if like AOC is the president of the United States.

00:05:20.660 Oh, please don't.

00:05:21.340 Do you think there's going to be and by the way, not completely outlandish.

00:05:26.760 She's right in the I would say middle of the pack right now in the Democratic primary if she were to run. 1.00

00:05:33.560 And you never know what's going to happen.

00:05:36.420 There's a bunch of different things.

00:05:38.000 That could never happen.

00:05:39.420 By the way, Mom Dummy looks like there's absolutely no way of stopping him from being mayor of New York.

00:05:44.940 But anyway, go ahead.

00:05:45.500 What was your point?

00:05:46.080 So my point is what someone like that gets into office.

00:05:49.760 Oh, no, the office.

00:05:50.620 It is.

00:05:51.360 I mean, if they're going to come after anyone who's ever who's ever said anything about low taxes, if anybody thinks I mean, we we must win the midterms and we must win 2028.

00:06:05.900 You mean, because he has come after, you know, when he starts saying you're a terrorist organization and which I believe, you know, Antifa is a terrorist organization.

00:06:15.900 When you say I'm coming after George Soros, Bill Gates and the Ford Foundation, all of these things, you are you have declared war and they are not when they have the opportunity to punch back.

00:06:33.460 They are going to punch back.

00:06:35.720 God help us.

00:06:36.900 Yeah.

00:06:37.100 God help us. 0.85

00:06:38.160 He's either got to wipe it out or we're screwed. 0.99

00:06:44.000 We're screwed. 0.98

00:06:44.820 And look, we could all you hope for the best and prepare for the worst. 0.98

00:06:49.960 Right.

00:06:50.180 And so what country is going to be the country?

00:06:53.820 First of all, I would never shut up.

00:06:55.320 So I go to anywhere, I go to Antarctica, I'm time organizing the penguins, you know what I mean?

00:07:01.600 And I'm like, look, we got to go back into America and free America.

00:07:05.820 So, I mean, where do you go where the United States remember how they were uniting people, you know, Biden under Biden?

00:07:13.620 They were I mean, they were trying to get Elon Musk, you know, destroy him in like four different countries.

00:07:21.280 So where do you go?

00:07:23.760 You go nowhere.

00:07:24.500 Well, first of all, someone who's known you for 30 years, it's true.

00:07:28.080 You never shut up, including at movie theaters and concerts and funerals.

00:07:34.600 Concerts.

00:07:35.120 So, yes.

00:07:37.080 And so that's number one.

00:07:38.820 I do agree with you on that part of it.

00:07:41.000 I think like your goal in a situation like that, and you've probably put more thought into this than I have,

00:07:46.100 but like your goal into a situation where a government has become weaponized to come after you

00:07:52.940 is to move your name down the list.

00:07:55.660 And one of the ways you do that is just add barriers.

00:07:58.520 Like if you're not, if you're at your house in Texas, they just show up.

00:08:03.700 If you're in another country, they got to make a few phone calls.

00:08:06.740 I mean, just add barriers.

00:08:08.100 There's a lot of people they're going to target.

00:08:10.140 Make yourself lower on the list.

00:08:11.640 Yeah, you're in another country.

00:08:13.120 You know what comes to mind?

00:08:14.400 Two words.

00:08:15.360 Red mist.

00:08:18.360 That's what comes to mind, you know.

00:08:20.540 And if they're back in charge with Big Food and Big Pharma, they're like, red mist.

00:08:24.520 Put it on the Froot Loops.

00:08:26.300 Yeah.

00:08:27.680 It's very inexpensive, artificial coloring.

00:08:29.860 Very good.

00:08:30.500 It's very good.

00:08:31.040 All right.

00:08:31.300 Let me take some phone calls.

00:08:32.360 Tammy in Virginia.

00:08:33.240 Welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.

00:08:35.780 Hi.

00:08:36.480 Hi, Tammy.

00:08:39.220 Nice to be here.

00:08:40.160 Thank you.

00:08:41.660 It's your turn.

00:08:42.520 Now's the time.

00:08:43.220 We have not done this in a while.

00:08:44.720 Apparently, it's more difficult than I remember.

00:08:46.540 Now's your time.

00:08:47.420 I got it.

00:08:47.940 Okay, good.

00:08:48.620 Go ahead.

00:08:49.180 Okay.

00:08:50.580 When I was taught, I was thinking when a civil war, if a civil war came to the country,

00:08:56.240 it would be between the people on the streets.

00:08:59.720 Never did I ever dream that it would be government officials like in Illinois and California

00:09:06.740 not listening to the laws, not listening to the administration.

00:09:13.420 Yeah.

00:09:13.800 And I'm wondering, where does this lead?

00:09:18.760 Well, you know, let me just say this, Tammy.

00:09:20.720 Anyway, it's a little like I'm an alcoholic, and for several years before I admitted I was

00:09:29.940 an alcoholic, I would ask myself every day, am I an alcoholic?

00:09:35.780 When you're asking the question, pretty good shot.

00:09:40.040 You're deeply down that road.

00:09:42.400 Okay.

00:09:42.580 So if you're asking, is this going to develop into a civil war?

00:09:48.720 I've never asked that before up until recently.

00:09:51.440 You know what I mean?

00:09:52.360 I've lived for 62 years.

00:09:54.840 I've lived in America.

00:09:55.840 Never had that.

00:09:56.820 Never had that thought.

00:09:57.580 We're going to go into a civil war.

00:09:58.820 Never had that thought.

00:09:59.880 Okay.

00:10:00.200 Now, you kind of ask yourself every day, if they're doing this and they are blocking the

00:10:08.080 feds from actually doing constitutionally what they're supposed to do, and that then 1.00

00:10:16.000 triggers the constitution on an insurrection, which would mean the government then has the

00:10:25.180 right and the power to go into those states and put down an insurrection, yeah, I don't

00:10:32.300 think we need to ask ourselves, where is that leading?

00:10:34.220 We know where that's leading, and it's no place good, but there is a difference.

00:10:38.800 You know, are we in a civil war?

00:10:41.000 Again, I go back to the alcoholic thing.

00:10:43.200 You don't need to ask that question.

00:10:45.040 You know, you know, when it comes, you know.

00:10:48.180 So wait, are you saying we are in a civil war because you're asking the question?

00:10:51.080 No, no, no.

00:10:51.380 I'm saying that the likelihood of going into a civil war is higher than any other time

00:10:59.540 in my lifetime because we're all asking that question of, is this going to lead to a civil

00:11:04.460 war?

00:11:04.920 I mean, what happens?

00:11:05.860 Yeah.

00:11:06.100 So we're all asking this question because we all have the same feeling.

00:11:09.680 I can't find the way out of this because they're using police to go against federal

00:11:17.300 police.

00:11:18.420 So you've got that conflict.

00:11:20.620 I mean, that's bad, but that's not civil war.

00:11:23.000 No, no, no.

00:11:23.500 I know.

00:11:23.920 I said it's more likely to happen because we're seeing these things.

00:11:29.220 When you go into a civil war, no one's going to ask, is this a civil war?

00:11:33.380 Because civil wars are quite obvious.

00:11:36.580 It's not like, oh, it's a police action.

00:11:39.040 No, civil war will destroy everything.

00:11:42.280 It's how we turn into Haiti. 0.61

00:11:45.240 You don't want a civil war.

00:11:46.660 You want to do everything you can to avoid a civil war.

00:11:48.920 So is it like, you know, Michael Moore walks into a restaurant?

00:11:56.100 Yes.

00:11:57.440 First of all, the chefs are terrified, but walks into a restaurant and sits down on the table.

00:12:02.140 The owner is very happy.

00:12:02.980 Right.

00:12:03.480 He's just like, we're going to run out of food.

00:12:05.660 Somebody go out and get more.

00:12:07.060 So Michael Moore walks into a restaurant, sits down at a table, looks across the restaurant

00:12:12.280 and across the restaurant, on the other side of the restaurant is Jennifer Aniston. 0.96

00:12:17.280 Now.

00:12:18.100 Don't know where you're going with this, but it's an interesting scenario so far.

00:12:21.960 He eats Jennifer.

00:12:23.240 No.

00:12:24.140 He think.

00:12:24.920 So walking into the restaurant, the chances of Michael Moore having a fling with Jennifer

00:12:32.400 Aniston were incredibly low, like almost zero.

00:12:36.000 Right.

00:12:36.860 Now that they're in the same location, the odds are increased.

00:12:43.040 However, still, it's very unlikely.

00:12:46.280 Would you say that's where we are with civil war?

00:12:48.080 If he's mixing her drinks, the odds go up.

00:12:53.000 Now who's mixing our drinks?

00:12:54.600 You know what I'm saying?

00:12:55.440 Right.

00:12:55.820 So you're saying it's not necessarily a high probability event of a civil war.

00:12:59.900 No, but it is becoming more, it is becoming more and more likely.

00:13:04.280 It doesn't mean that it's, you know, high.

00:13:06.360 I think we're at 15% now.

00:13:10.500 15%?

00:13:11.460 You think it's that high for a civil war?

00:13:14.700 Yeah.

00:13:15.060 Maybe 20. 0.98

00:13:16.080 Holy crap. 0.99

00:13:16.840 That's, that's depressing. 0.98

00:13:17.720 I mean, this is what I'm saying about citizenship.

00:13:20.100 I know.

00:13:20.800 Let's go somewhere else.

00:13:22.060 War game this.

00:13:23.060 You, you have people who are intentionally funding a, a color revolution. 0.52

00:13:30.000 You've been talking about this for 20 years.

00:13:32.280 Right.

00:13:32.800 And notice things are starting to happen and come true.

00:13:36.080 When I was talking about it, remember that's when everybody's like, that's crazy.

00:13:39.740 Yes.

00:13:40.040 Yeah.

00:13:40.460 And we're going to have, we're going to watch TV on our phones too.

00:13:44.840 Okay.

00:13:45.100 Now all this stuff is happening and everything that I told you was like, these people are

00:13:51.120 all going to work together to do this.

00:13:52.940 And it's going to be a color revolution.

00:13:54.820 We now have proof that they are doing a color revolution here in America and they're funding 0.99

00:14:02.420 it to $300 million for the no Kings weekend.

00:14:06.940 Okay.

00:14:07.420 We, we, we, we know what their intent is.

00:14:11.100 So we also know that, you know, did you see the stuff on snap?

00:14:16.640 Look at this.

00:14:17.540 You know, so they're now saying that we're going to, we're going to run out of money for

00:14:20.340 snap.

00:14:21.140 Right.

00:14:21.640 Okay.

00:14:21.820 Some, some states are starting to get to that point.

00:14:23.740 Right.

00:14:23.920 Um, you look at X and you'll see person after person, after person Americans, you got to

00:14:31.420 get ready to loot after snap is going to get canceled.

00:14:34.340 Uh, and snaps the food stamps, food stamps, the new name for food.

00:14:38.140 So, you know, we can't get a job.

00:14:40.020 We won't have any food.

00:14:40.960 And there's people that are, are seriously now saying we should riot and lots of influence

00:14:45.600 from foreign governments.

00:14:47.040 So absolutely own might own particular apps that you're on.

00:14:50.840 Correct.

00:14:51.140 So it's, I mean, it doesn't matter.

00:14:53.740 It doesn't matter what's real.

00:14:55.640 It's, there was this book called, um, positioning the battleground of your mind.

00:15:01.500 It is, it was what started and, and, and explained the Cola Wars.

00:15:06.720 Okay.

00:15:07.400 Pepsi versus Coke came out in the early eighties.

00:15:10.520 And, um, that's the kind of civil war I like, by the way, me too.

00:15:13.340 Um, and, and what it talked is, what it talked about was perception is reality.

00:15:20.580 And, you know, when you perceive something one way and the society perceives it one way,

00:15:26.300 then it becomes reality.

00:15:29.260 The, the perception here for a lot of people on the left is the only way to solve this is

00:15:37.300 through violence.

00:15:38.640 And that's becoming more, I would say that that's.

00:15:43.340 I'm, I'm hopeful that it's less than 5% of our population believes that violence is the

00:15:49.680 answer, but that number is growing.

00:15:52.580 And the apathy toward violence, political violence is growing probably faster than the

00:15:59.640 actual people that would commit the violence.

00:16:02.020 Right?

00:16:03.020 Yeah.

00:16:03.280 And I do think, you know, when you talk about social media, perception is an interesting

00:16:06.680 part of that, right?

00:16:07.360 Like he, so it's why they say in relationships, in your marriage, like, don't talk about divorce,

00:16:12.740 like don't threaten divorce when you don't mean it because it becomes closer and closer

00:16:15.980 to reality.

00:16:16.940 So I can see what you're saying from, from that standpoint.

00:16:19.460 I think a lot of people have this idea.

00:16:22.860 Maybe it's because some spend their weekends for free reenacting the civil war that it might

00:16:29.160 not be that bad.

00:16:30.140 It would be very bad, very bad.

00:16:34.620 It's not something that you want to keep bringing to the forefront of our political conversation.

00:16:40.540 No, I will say that.

00:16:41.740 I know you're warning against it for sure, but I'm not advocating.

00:16:46.600 Obviously, I am warning that's my job is to warn for anybody who has eyes and ears. 0.83

00:16:54.220 Listen up.

00:16:54.880 This is the plan from the left.

00:16:58.180 The government has now recognized that and is trying to curb that, but they're dead serious

00:17:04.300 about color revolution.

00:17:06.680 And so when you know that that is happening, you, you have to put in gear the opposite direction.

00:17:13.680 You, we, we have to go the opposite direction and try at all costs to hold things together,

00:17:20.000 keep people peaceful as long as possible to hopefully turn this corner because a corner

00:17:26.280 is being turned.

00:17:27.460 But as the light grows stronger, would you agree with me that the light since Charlie's

00:17:32.040 death, the light has grown stronger?

00:17:34.600 Okay.

00:17:34.880 I believe it as good has as is starting to wake up, but at the same time, the darkness is

00:17:41.940 growing darker.

00:17:43.180 Can you disagree with that in the last five weeks?

00:17:45.880 Have you not seen real darkness?

00:17:47.800 Of course, that's the way it always works.

00:17:50.920 It's a race to the finish line.

00:17:52.800 Let's stay on the right side of the light.

00:17:54.420 Let me tell you about relief factor.

00:17:55.820 Look, if you want to keep waking up every morning, grimacing and groaning and doing that

00:17:59.780 weird, weird little hobble thing to the coffee maker.

00:18:02.640 I mean, who am I to stop you?

00:18:04.280 But you can't live in constant nagging pain.

00:18:07.640 I mean, unless that's what makes you happy.

00:18:09.300 Some people collect stamps.

00:18:10.960 Some people take up fishing.

00:18:12.360 Maybe your hobby is quietly suffering through silence.

00:18:14.600 I'm not here to judge you.

00:18:15.560 I'm just here to let you know there is an option and it's called relief factor.

00:18:19.300 So many people use it every single day to fight pain from aging, exercise, or just life

00:18:25.500 in general.

00:18:26.040 And it's working for them.

00:18:27.900 I've seen the reviews.

00:18:28.980 I've heard the stories.

00:18:30.060 People who thought they'd never golf again, never run again, never sleep through the night

00:18:34.200 again.

00:18:34.800 Now they're out living their lives without the constant pain.

00:18:37.580 But again, if you'd rather complain about your back, your knees, your shoulders, that's

00:18:41.640 it's your right.

00:18:42.540 You can do it.

00:18:43.100 But Relief Factor is there if you ever get tired of all of that.

00:18:45.980 Give their three-week quick start a try for only $19.95.

00:18:48.960 Visit relieffactor.com or call 800-4-RELIEF.

00:18:51.880 That's 800, the number four, relief.

00:18:55.760 This is the best of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:18:59.760 Let me go to Alan in Maine.

00:19:01.520 Hello, Alan.

00:19:03.840 Hello, Glenn.

00:19:04.960 How you doing?

00:19:05.300 So I am just thrilled to talk to you.

00:19:08.180 And Stu, you guys are America's watchmen.

00:19:11.820 And as soon as you said, I'm going to take a few calls, something in my head triggered

00:19:16.740 to me.

00:19:17.140 Actually, give that man a call right now.

00:19:19.480 Because I just see a few canaries in the coal mine, Glenn.

00:19:21.960 And I know you guys do, too.

00:19:23.800 If you guys see what's going on in Virginia, the AG race.

00:19:26.920 I mean, it's just, you got Ma and Dummy there in New York.

00:19:30.020 I mean, the Virginia race.

00:19:31.620 I mean, what was said that the evilness behind it, it just goes along with what's going on

00:19:36.300 up here in Maine.

00:19:37.260 We have a Senate race going on up here.

00:19:39.540 Everybody knows Senator Susan Collins. 0.66

00:19:42.040 She's not a friend to conservatives by any means.

00:19:45.940 We are being pushed in a corner up here because we have no, nobody is in our corner for us,

00:19:53.860 really.

00:19:54.200 She's the only one we have up here.

00:19:55.720 It's getting really, really blue.

00:19:57.160 And we have a man right now running for the Senate who's an actual Nazi. 0.76

00:20:02.020 I'm saying that because the things he said on the stump is really disturbing.

00:20:06.960 As a Christian, as a Jewish Christian, I am very upset the things he said.

00:20:12.560 And the tattoo that just came out, and he just supposedly covered it up.

00:20:15.860 It's not just an ordinary tattoo, Glenn.

00:20:17.880 This is an SS soldier tattoo.

00:20:19.660 This is the worst of the worst.

00:20:21.400 And what scares me the most is the new poll that just came out, the New Hampshire poll.

00:20:25.380 It puts him almost doubled over Janet Mills.

00:20:28.620 She's the, you know, she's the Democrat from, you know, the establishment Democrat. 0.67

00:20:35.060 Hang on just a second.

00:20:36.100 Hang on just a second.

00:20:37.020 It scares me that people will just vote for, you know, an AG in Virginia who's like, hey, just let the blood flow in the streets and a Nazi in Maine.

00:20:50.940 But do you think in the general he would win over Susan Collins?

00:20:56.040 You know, Glenn, I've been thinking about it lately.

00:21:00.040 And the same push that made me call you is ringing in my head right now.

00:21:05.660 And it's just bringing up a quote that you brought up in a book that you wrote.

00:21:09.200 And it was a quote that Hitler made. 0.82

00:21:10.940 And it talks about how the spirit becomes almost like magic, you know.

00:21:15.340 And that's what's coming right now.

00:21:16.400 If you look at the youth right now, they're being, I mean, they're pushed against the corner too.

00:21:20.320 You know, guys, it's expensive out there.

00:21:22.520 Just hamburger alone is very expensive. 0.80

00:21:24.860 And if you see what these people are saying on the stump speeches, they're, you know, like Rush used to say, their skull is full of mush. 0.69

00:21:31.460 And they are. 0.99

00:21:31.880 They're absolute mush.

00:21:32.600 And they're absorbing this stuff like sponges.

00:21:34.520 And this man's out on the stump saying the things that they want to hear.

00:21:37.520 You know, Mondami's not doing anything different than no one else has ever done.

00:21:40.500 But he's giving these people hope, you know, and that's what they're grabbing on to.

00:21:44.420 They don't mean it.

00:21:45.460 You know, just like the Islamists, they'll lie to their adversaries. 1.00

00:21:48.480 And I believe these people are lying to our faces, and we know that for a fact.

00:21:52.060 And I know, Glenn, for the years I've been listening to you and reading your books.

00:21:54.640 These people are serious.

00:21:56.120 I mean, if you took what they did during COVID, I mean, we haven't even got to the bottom of that yet.

00:22:00.400 Thousands of people lost their jobs.

00:22:02.620 And this man's out there saying things that just his rallies are bringing in the youth.

00:22:07.300 The rallies are packing in people, and I'm a little worried.

00:22:10.400 You know, this might be the actual, in the grand election, this could be the end for Senator Susan Collins. 1.00

00:22:15.820 And it's not going to go the way we think.

00:22:17.300 Like, I mean, we have no one up here in New England.

00:22:20.460 And if you really think about it, New England is where all of us really came.

00:22:24.540 You know, the Mayflower.

00:22:25.520 I mean, a lot of our history, Boston, Maine, Massachusetts, we are rich in history.

00:22:31.420 The first Fort Knox up here.

00:22:33.080 We just, Glenn, you know it.

00:22:34.920 These people, they've forgotten the history, and it upsets me so much because we're so rich in history up here.

00:22:41.680 And this guy's going out there saying things that just, it's disgusting.

00:22:44.840 And I don't know, do you really think Senator Susan, I mean, I don't see her grabbing on to Trump.

00:22:50.140 I mean, I don't, she's going to try to grab on to Democratic votes. 1.00

00:22:53.740 I don't think it's going to work.

00:22:54.820 He's going to take them.

00:22:55.860 He's going to take the votes for her.

00:22:57.240 And then what?

00:22:58.020 The conservatives are going to, I mean, I know no one, we don't really love Susan Collins.

00:23:03.500 But if we lose her people, that's a, that's, that's a heavy voice and a heavy hand that we need right now.

00:23:08.340 She, I'm just, it's just not looking good.

00:23:10.980 I'm, I'm, I'm afraid, Glenn, that these, the youth are buying what these, what these Islamists and what these Marxists, like you said, they're working together. 0.57

00:23:18.600 And, and they're, they're grabbing onto it and they're, they're chewing it up and they're swallowing it.

00:23:22.440 And it upsets me because I wish Trump would come up here and do a speech and do it and just do a rally because we're just, I mean, it's, it's, you know, what's going on with our grove wrath.

00:23:33.380 I mean, from China taking over, I mean, it's, it's, it's getting to a point where. 0.81

00:23:38.920 Alan.

00:23:40.380 Alan.

00:23:40.960 Yes, sir.

00:23:42.600 Yes, sir.

00:23:42.800 I can hear it in your voice and I, I feel what you're feeling.

00:23:50.020 And, uh, I just, I want you to know, Texas is a wonderful place to live.

00:23:58.120 Florida is a wonderful place to live.

00:24:00.840 Um, uh, I know nobody wants to give up on their, on their areas.

00:24:05.940 Um, but there are places that, um, you know, I think Minnesota, I think, um, you know, some parts of Michigan, um, and may lose all of Michigan at some point.

00:24:18.940 Um, um, that are just, they are, they're being fed to the wolves and they, um, they are being fed to the wolves by the Democrats.

00:24:27.920 The Democrats made this, this deal with the devil to get into bed with the, with the leftist and the Islamists. 0.79

00:24:38.080 And they thought they could control them.

00:24:41.160 Well, Chuck Schumer is terrified. 0.96

00:24:44.440 The Democrats, the old Democrats that made this deal and played footsie with them are all terrified that they are going to be eaten by their own leftist crazies. 0.53

00:24:57.740 And you're seeing it now, you know, where you have a, uh, you know, uh, an okay Democrat, you know, as far as that goes in Maine running against a Nazi and the Nazi is winning. 0.52

00:25:12.720 Um, this is, um, we, we are in extraordinarily difficult times.

00:25:19.680 And I know that, and I, I want you to know that you're not alone in feeling that, but you're also not alone in, in praying and, uh, trying to do the right thing.

00:25:32.040 So let me give you this, this piece of advice, just do the next right thing, exercise your faith in God, that God has control and he is not neutral in the affairs of men that requires us.

00:25:55.120 If we want the blessings, it requires us to do all of the hard work.

00:26:01.440 We cannot sit on the sidelines.

00:26:04.240 We cannot give up.

00:26:05.660 We must do all that we can do and then let it go.

00:26:10.900 Whatever happens, it's his will and he will work it out.

00:26:15.840 We don't deserve the blessings that we have already received.

00:26:20.360 We don't, we don't deserve.

00:26:23.020 Look at how we question 2020.

00:26:24.780 And now look at how, if we, we all know if 2020, if Donald Trump would have won, then we would not be in the place we're in right now on the good side, because Donald Trump changed.

00:26:37.980 He, God saved him.

00:26:40.620 He found God.

00:26:42.420 I really believe in Butler.

00:26:44.100 Um, he educated himself over the last four years, what he and his family went through in those four years changed him.

00:26:52.980 Um, and now we have this version of Donald Trump, not the 2020 version of Donald Trump.

00:26:58.780 And yet I was on the air going, this is really bad.

00:27:03.100 This is not, there's no way out of this.

00:27:05.320 We, we could be doomed by 2024 and we might've been, but look at the miracles that happened in the summer of 2024 that led up to Donald Trump winning.

00:27:19.460 Um, we've got to, um, we've got to, uh, we've got to let our version of what has to happen.

00:27:23.360 Go.

00:27:24.240 We have to just do the next right thing and the Lord will work it out.

00:27:29.400 Um, we can not value our second citizenship, our passport in the United States of America.

00:27:36.560 We cannot value that higher than our first citizenship in the kingdom.

00:27:41.520 He is the King, no King, but Christ.

00:27:46.420 He is the one we answer to.

00:27:48.600 He is the one we put our faith in.

00:27:51.060 He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

00:27:54.500 And if anyone can save it, it is him, not us.

00:28:01.040 We are dealing with true evil.

00:28:04.460 Unlike anything I've ever seen in my lifetime.

00:28:07.800 We are dealing with, as I said in 2008, nine, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15.

00:28:14.320 Said almost every day, we are going to see the evil that we have not seen since the 1930s.

00:28:23.880 We're going to see it on our own streets here in America.

00:28:27.420 Well, it is here.

00:28:29.440 And there's no way for man to defeat evil without God.

00:28:38.480 But I have great faith.

00:28:41.820 Why is God?

00:28:43.200 Is God a taunting God?

00:28:45.640 Is he a God that just plays with us?

00:28:48.340 Why would he save Donald Trump at that moment?

00:28:52.220 Why would he save and preserve his life?

00:28:57.000 He's not toying with us.

00:28:59.180 Why would he let Charlie Kirk go?

00:29:01.180 Because Charlie Kirk lived his life every second doing exactly what God told him to do.

00:29:08.380 And look at the miracle that has happened since the death of Charlie Kirk.

00:29:14.280 The number of people that watched that memorial is estimated to be over 1.2 billion people watched that memorial.

00:29:25.920 We just received a Bible from an auction that we bought.

00:29:30.720 And it's one of the first Bibles printed here in America.

00:29:33.180 And in it, back in the old days, you know, Bibles and books were just very expensive.

00:29:38.700 And so you went to leaders and, you know, influencers, if you will, and very wealthy people.

00:29:45.980 And you said, hey, we want to print this book or this library.

00:29:49.360 And we would like you to be a funder of it and help, you know, endorse this.

00:29:55.200 We just bought this Bible, one of the first printed in America.

00:29:57.960 And the funders and the ones who attached their name to the testimony of the truth of the gospel.

00:30:08.600 First funder was George Washington, President of the United States.

00:30:12.400 Second one, John Jay, Supreme Court Chief Justice.

00:30:17.260 Third one, Secretary of War, Alexander Hamilton.

00:30:20.840 We believe, and we're still doing our homework on this, we believe that is the last time that Cabinet and those kinds of people testified publicly of Jesus Christ until the miracle of the memorial at Charlie Kirk.

00:30:41.080 Where you had the president, the vice president, the secretary of state, the secretary of war, health and human services, and everybody else openly testified, not saying I love God, not even saying I love Jesus, saying Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior of the world.

00:31:03.400 That does not happen.

00:31:08.020 Now, our job is to take that seed that Charlie planted in his own life and then in the harvest, the Lord took and started just planting seeds and showing us how ripe the fields are.

00:31:33.300 We're all over the world.

00:31:34.900 It's our job now, not just to go back to church.

00:31:38.480 That's a revival.

00:31:39.880 We don't need a revival.

00:31:41.840 We've had revivals over and over and over again.

00:31:44.980 You know when the biggest revivals were happening in America?

00:31:47.720 In the last hundred years.

00:31:49.520 We had a revival in 1900, 1920, 1930.

00:31:53.880 We kept having revivals.

00:31:55.740 Did anything in America change?

00:31:58.320 No.

00:31:59.260 Those are the times when eugenics started growing out of control. 0.99

00:32:03.000 When we started changing our country towards this progressive nightmare where we made our God government. 0.56

00:32:11.260 We don't need a revival because that puts people in the pews.

00:32:15.760 What we need is an awakening.

00:32:18.600 And that means you get out of the pew if they're not talking about it.

00:32:23.500 And you tell your pastor, I cannot come here anymore because you won't talk about applying these principles to everything we do every day.

00:32:33.560 The awakenings happen outside of the church.

00:32:38.900 The church is the last one.

00:32:41.480 When there's an awakening, there is a reformation.

00:32:44.660 Not just of the churches, but also of government and our own private families and institutions.

00:32:52.040 Because the leadership of those families, institutions, companies, government, they all have been to church.

00:33:00.720 They heard the word, but they're awake.

00:33:03.420 And they now say, I'm applying this in my own life.

00:33:07.340 If I'm awake, I'm awake.

00:33:16.620 It's why I'm talking like I'm talking to you right now.

00:33:20.060 Because the time to just say, we need God is over.

00:33:26.340 The time to say, we must obey the true king and savior of the universe, Jesus Christ, and live the way he taught us to live.

00:33:37.900 And apply those things in everything we do, every conversation we have.

00:33:43.020 We must elect people who understand who their king is.

00:33:50.380 No king but Christ.

00:33:52.220 Who is your king?

00:33:53.940 Who do you serve?

00:33:55.520 Who do you answer to?

00:33:58.460 You find those people and we elect those people.

00:34:01.820 We live our lives in a way that we might in some way be worthy of 5% of the mercy he has shown us.

00:34:20.240 Don't fear all the things that you see around you, your life, your success, your failures, whatever.

00:34:34.460 It's all an illusion.

00:34:36.400 None of it matters.

00:34:38.320 Your family, your soul, and eternity matters.

00:34:42.060 If you're not doing what you're doing right now, if it doesn't involve the eternities, if it doesn't have eternal consequences, stop doing it and do something that does have eternal consequences.

00:34:56.140 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:34:59.320 John Seidel is with us now.

00:35:01.300 John worked with me.

00:35:03.980 Gosh, John, how many years did we work together?

00:35:07.220 We went from 2010 when we started this whole thing to 2015.

00:35:11.380 Yeah, and you left in 2015, and I had no idea about the struggles that you were going through and where that would lead you and why you're on the program now.

00:35:27.920 Your book is Confessions of a Christian Alcoholic.

00:35:32.960 Tell me the story.

00:35:35.000 Well, here's the funny thing, Glenn.

00:35:36.520 I think I didn't realize the struggles that I was having when you and I were working together.

00:35:41.380 And I think what's ironic, right, is I heard your story for how many years, right?

00:35:46.980 You know what that looked like and what that did to you and family and Tanya saying something's got to change, right?

00:35:54.500 Yeah.

00:35:54.640 And yet, you know, and I think this is the truth about addiction is we can know something and want to do something and still fall prey to it.

00:36:03.360 And so, you know, 2021, I've had another book come out, became a top 100 book on all of Amazon called Finding Rest.

00:36:11.580 It was about faith and mental health.

00:36:13.100 And, you know, a mutual friend of ours, Billy Hallowell, called me up, and Billy said, John, you have to be careful.

00:36:20.420 And I said, what?

00:36:21.640 He said, you're going to publish a book, and you know this as well, Glenn.

00:36:25.220 He said, you're going to publish a book.

00:36:26.560 And you kind of get this period after you publish it where you fall into this, like, lull, right?

00:36:33.120 And, you know, I kind of joke that it's like Talladega Nights, like Ricky Bobby.

00:36:37.960 He's like, what do I do with my hands, you know?

00:36:39.860 Yeah.

00:36:40.520 And so I just kind of said, well, thanks, Billy, you know, but I'll be fine, you know?

00:36:46.580 And sure enough, like, I published that book, and you just realize you have certain expectations that it's going to do this and that and the other thing, and it doesn't.

00:36:55.360 And you fast forward, I had my own business at the time.

00:36:59.740 I lost my biggest client, and then my son was diagnosed with a tumor in his shin.

00:37:04.640 He was four years old at the time.

00:37:06.800 And, well, by the grace of God, that ended up being benign.

00:37:10.700 All of those things stacking up.

00:37:14.060 And here's what I did, Glenn.

00:37:15.540 I just slowly started drinking more and more and more.

00:37:22.080 And it wasn't this overnight thing.

00:37:24.340 And I don't think for a lot of people it is, right?

00:37:27.080 But all of a sudden, I wake up in 2023, and I realize, oh, my gosh, I am a full-blown alcoholic.

00:37:33.600 And I have this rock-bottom moment on an anniversary trip in Miami with my wife where, you know, she says, hey, I'm going to have the night in.

00:37:42.720 Why don't you go do whatever you want?

00:37:44.280 I said, I'm just going to go down to the hotel bar, have a few drinks and appetizers.

00:37:47.580 And she goes, don't get drunk.

00:37:48.880 And I say, I'm not going to get drunk.

00:37:50.200 And I can say, you know, with 100% certainty that my goal is not to get drunk that night.

00:37:55.840 And yet, by the end of the night, which is the beginning of the morning, I'm on South Beach, Miami, by myself, waiting in the ocean, going to the bathroom, drunk.

00:38:06.160 And I'm like, what has my life become?

00:38:08.860 And my wife, much like Tanya, you know, said, hey, listen, I don't care if you never drink again.

00:38:16.360 What you have to do is get to the root of why you're drinking this way.

00:38:21.340 You have to find something greater.

00:38:22.920 You have to return to something greater.

00:38:24.620 You have to dig that stuff out.

00:38:26.040 Because otherwise, it's going to be something else.

00:38:28.980 And I said, can we just go back to the non-drinking part?

00:38:31.700 Like, that would be easier.

00:38:33.020 You know, like, than actually doing the soul searching and the, you know, the surgery that it requires.

00:38:38.540 You know, it's weird.

00:38:40.040 You think that.

00:38:41.480 I mean, you know, I got up early today, and I read good portions of the book.

00:38:46.980 And it's very well done.

00:38:49.060 And I have to tell you that there's a couple of things that I think we all go through.

00:38:55.140 First of all, I'm not really an alcoholic.

00:38:57.220 I'm not an alcoholic.

00:38:58.040 Because alcoholics, I love the section where you're talking about, you know, what does an alcoholic look like?

00:39:03.200 Right.

00:39:03.680 We just have this image in our mind of this is what an alcoholic is like.

00:39:07.160 And I'm not that.

00:39:08.860 You know, I'm not a wino.

00:39:10.860 And so you go through that.

00:39:13.080 You go through, you know, asking yourself and then trying to stop.

00:39:17.300 And you can't stop.

00:39:18.800 And you really try.

00:39:19.800 And you promise yourself every day. 0.99

00:39:21.040 And it gets worse and worse and worse every day where you're like, I'm a loser. 0.98

00:39:24.940 I cannot stop myself. 0.84

00:39:26.820 I promised myself I wasn't going to drink today.

00:39:28.860 I promised myself I was not going to get drunk when I went down to the bar, you know, at the hotel.

00:39:34.320 And you violate it every day.

00:39:36.200 And your self-esteem just gets getting worse and worse and worse because you can't stop.

00:39:40.460 And you have every intention of stopping.

00:39:43.220 But you'll always find an excuse.

00:39:44.420 And then when you finally realize you have to, then you don't want to do the work of what's causing you to drink because you're terrified of it.

00:39:55.980 You're terrified of looking into it.

00:39:57.980 And at least I was terrified that that's all that existed in me, that there wasn't actually anything good in me.

00:40:06.420 It was just this collection of things that I had gathered my whole life.

00:40:12.480 Does that make sense to you?

00:40:14.140 Did you feel that way at all?

00:40:16.480 Absolutely.

00:40:16.880 You know, that's why it's like I would rather – and this is what I tell people, Glenn, and some people don't like it.

00:40:23.000 But I'm like, listen, my goal, my ultimate goal for people when I'm talking to them, the ultimate goal for myself is not sobriety, right?

00:40:31.360 Because I want a better life than just not drinking, right?

00:40:36.840 I want a better, more fulfilled, flourishing life.

00:40:39.960 That's why I'm like, man, I shot for Jesus and I got sobriety thrown in, right?

00:40:43.800 Now, I'm all okay with programs.

00:40:46.580 I'm all okay with steps and doing what you need to do, right, in community and talking about it.

00:40:51.160 You need that, right?

00:40:52.520 But, man, if you – because when you do look into yourself, Glenn, and you see what is truly there, right,

00:40:59.400 there's no way that you can personally fix all that.

00:41:02.940 And now some people can white-knuckle it for a long time, but ultimately they're not as fulfilled as they would be

00:41:09.280 if they actually dug in and invited someone in to fix those things.

00:41:13.300 Now, I don't know if you can white-knuckle it.

00:41:15.180 I really don't.

00:41:16.180 I mean –

00:41:16.380 Yeah.

00:41:18.120 You know, an AA doesn't expect you to white-knuckle it.

00:41:21.960 AA, the first thing is you're not in charge here.

00:41:25.220 You've got to admit that there's something much bigger than you.

00:41:27.720 Whatever God is to you, there's God, and you have to surrender to him.

00:41:35.000 And that – you know, the surrender part is part of it.

00:41:38.100 But I will tell you that until I got into the waters of baptism after all my alcoholism and everything

00:41:44.520 and white-knuckling it for several years, until I got into the water, I could not hold it.

00:41:49.980 You can't.

00:41:50.640 You can't carry that burden.

00:41:52.440 You know, people who – I feel bad for people who don't need the atonement as badly as I did

00:41:58.840 because I don't know if you can really truly appreciate it.

00:42:02.100 It is when you cannot go anymore, when this decision is I can't live with myself anymore,

00:42:09.920 it's suicide or something else, and I've tried everything else, so I'm going to give this a try.

00:42:17.240 And you truly surrender and accept that forgiveness and then say, I don't want this anymore.

00:42:22.640 I don't want to think about this anymore.

00:42:23.980 It's all yours.

00:42:25.220 Take it.

00:42:26.640 It's a miracle.

00:42:28.240 It's a miracle.

00:42:30.120 Absolutely.

00:42:30.960 And I think what – you know, part of my message too, Glenn, is for people – listen, I was a Christian.

00:42:37.300 I kind of say, like, I'm not the – I'm the Christian that became an alcoholic, not the other way around, right?

00:42:42.820 And listen, it's okay – like, I love the stories of the other way around, right?

00:42:47.200 But I also want to encourage people that, listen, some of these things that are festering inside of you,

00:42:53.060 you can love God, you can love Jesus and want to pursue Him and have all that stuff,

00:42:59.820 and yet you still have these things inside of you that fester and that you need to work on.

00:43:04.760 And that was true for me, right?

00:43:06.380 And so my hope is that people listening to this, like, if you are not, you know, a person of faith

00:43:12.800 and you want to find, you know, sobriety in Jesus, let's talk.

00:43:17.060 But also, if you are a person of faith who's like, I am so messed up, jacked up, I'm drinking X, Y, and Z away, 1.00

00:43:25.000 I'm cheating on my wife, whatever, I'm like, there is still hope for you because there is hope for me.

00:43:29.260 Yeah, I have to tell you, I think that – I feel bad for people who are deep in faith

00:43:38.480 because I've seen too many say, no, I know who God is and I screwed up and there's no going back for me.

00:43:46.240 There's just no going back.

00:43:47.480 You know, I'm beyond the redemption because I knew everything.

00:43:51.720 It's not the way God works. 1.00

00:43:53.880 That's your sick head telling you that. 1.00

00:43:56.780 Go ahead. 1.00

00:43:59.860 Go ahead.

00:44:00.480 Well, I think there's parts of ourselves, Glenn, right?

00:44:02.940 There are – we have these whole healed, you know, parts that we've given over to God, right?

00:44:08.220 And that's great.

00:44:09.440 And for me, like, that whole healed – those parts wrote a best-selling book on faith and mental health, right?

00:44:14.980 But then when I hit the hardest part of my life, what happened is I realized, oh, my gosh,

00:44:21.340 there's stuff in here that, A, I had either stuffed or didn't know existed.

00:44:27.000 And I'm like, I don't want to look at that, let alone do I want to give that over to God, right?

00:44:32.000 And I think what we have to realize is, man, we all have these rooms in our soul,

00:44:37.640 these rooms in our heart that we have blocked off.

00:44:41.380 And in fact, I think for some of us, there's, like, secret passageways, right?

00:44:45.660 Like, there's a bookcase, and we're looking at that, and we don't realize that there's a door behind there,

00:44:50.220 and in that door is a bunch of rotten stuff.

00:44:52.440 And that's what we need to do, give that over.

00:44:54.720 It's amazing, too, that you – for me, I honestly said my whole life – my mother kid committed suicide.

00:45:04.700 I'm 13 years old.

00:45:05.420 My mom commits suicide.

00:45:07.200 You know, we were very, very close.

00:45:09.160 I mean, my whole life changed.

00:45:10.700 And I said my whole life, until I sobered up, I'm fine.

00:45:17.120 I'm fine.

00:45:17.620 I'm totally fine with that.

00:45:18.780 I got it.

00:45:19.560 I dealt with it.

00:45:20.240 I didn't deal with it at all.

00:45:22.320 But I actually believed I was fine because I had created this little bunker inside of me that could keep that sealed.

00:45:32.580 But that rot, even though you don't realize it, you can't seal that bunker off it.

00:45:40.540 It's like it has nuclear waste in it.

00:45:42.760 It seeps into everything.

00:45:45.860 My wife says this line, and she's a very wise woman, and she goes, you know what, John?

00:45:52.700 You have to get to the root to get to the rot.

00:45:57.160 And I was like, oh, yes, absolutely.

00:46:01.120 And so that's what I've been doing.

00:46:02.200 It's two and a half years.

00:46:03.280 I've been sober for two and a half years now.

00:46:05.020 And I'm still, Glenn, finding rot down there.

00:46:07.920 Oh, yeah.

00:46:08.560 I'm like, oh, my gosh, that cellar.

00:46:11.640 Like, there's some potatoes that were in the corner that look like mutant now, you know?

00:46:15.740 And I'm like, well, all right, here we go.

00:46:17.420 We're going to dig those out as well.

00:46:19.040 I'm 30 years.

00:46:20.520 I'm 30 years into it, and I'm still finding rocks.

00:46:24.380 So, I mean, you know, you're still like, wait, this root, I thought I pulled this out.

00:46:31.260 It's a never-ending process.

00:46:33.280 But I'm so happy for you.

00:46:36.480 I'm really, really happy for you because your life, I mean, you're two years into it.

00:46:41.300 Let me just tell you, John, it just gets better and better and better.

00:46:44.880 It really does.

00:46:45.980 And it is so worth the journey.

00:46:47.820 It doesn't feel like it at first.

00:46:49.580 And I know you know it.

00:46:51.540 You wrote about it.

00:46:52.580 It doesn't feel like it at first, but it is so worth it.

00:46:56.420 And it is your future should you choose it.

00:47:01.440 And it's very, very bright.

00:47:03.440 So, very happy for you, John.

00:47:05.680 Well, thanks, Glenn.

00:47:06.980 And I think, thank you for, you know, you never know when you're telling your story.

00:47:10.740 This is what I say.

00:47:11.400 You telling your story, that wasn't, if there's 20 steps to finding sobriety for someone, finding Jesus, if you will, like, you never know whether your story is step one, five, or 19, right?

00:47:25.980 Your story wasn't step 19 for me, right?

00:47:28.260 But because you, like, when you talk about it, it's like, I remember those things, right?

00:47:33.780 And so I appreciate it.

00:47:34.700 And I tell people, listen, I didn't get the easiest life possible because I'm sober, but I've gotten the best life possible.

00:47:42.300 And best is better than easiest.

00:47:44.500 Yes.

00:47:45.280 Yes.

00:47:45.980 You can't have best if it's easy, I don't think.

00:47:48.860 Yeah.

00:47:49.320 That's right.

00:47:49.960 Jonathan, thank you so much.

00:47:51.160 Jonathan Seidel, the name of the book is Confessions of a Christian Alcoholic.

00:47:56.640 If you're asking yourself, am I an alcoholic?

00:47:59.220 Probably are.

00:48:00.120 If you're asking, you probably have a problem with it at some point.

00:48:03.280 Um, but, um, uh, but again, Christian alcoholics, it's a whole different world because as he points out really well in the book, um, it's not what alcoholics aren't what you think they are.

00:48:17.880 You know, I remember the first AA meeting, this, this woman who was 80 had a sweater set and a pearl neck necklace on.

00:48:25.720 And I said, I don't know if I'm an alcoholic, but, but I'm really confused now because I didn't think alcoholics looked like you.

00:48:31.340 And she didn't even turn around as she was just this beautiful, beautiful older woman, um, just so prim and proper. 1.00

00:48:38.400 And she, she just said, Oh honey, we're all drunks in here. 0.83

00:48:42.320 And I realized you don't have to look like that.

00:48:45.040 You don't have to lose everything.

00:48:46.880 You don't have to, you know, uh, be, you know, a wino in an alley to be an alcoholic.

00:48:52.220 That is a cartoon character, uh, of it.

00:48:56.120 And, uh, he points it out really well, really well written book, Jonathan Seidel, Confessions of a Christian Alcoholic.
