00:00:00.880 Hey, Stu. How you doing, buddy?
00:00:04.740 Hi, Glenn. How are you?
00:00:07.460 I'm great. I'm really, really super great.
00:00:10.640 People are going to be excited to know that today's podcast is all in these voices the entire time, three straight hours.
00:00:16.720 You know, nobody does that anymore, and I think it's what's missing.
00:00:20.000 The secret sauce, you know, is missing this kind of beautiful, beautiful kind of...
00:00:26.120 We start with Fauci, and we take Fauci down.
00:00:33.080 Rand Paul did such a great job.
00:00:35.360 I've never seen anybody as arrogant as Fauci was in an argument with a senator when he's clearly wrong.
00:00:45.480 Not the senator, Fauci, and we'll prove that to you.
00:00:48.120 Also, we're joined by Jason Whitlock from his podcast, Now on the Blaze.
00:00:56.500 You can get that and watch it. He's great.
00:00:58.860 We start talking about the swimsuit edition, the Sports Illustrated swimsuit, and how they are changing history in real time.
00:01:08.660 Then we go into more critical race theory.
00:01:11.460 We have Stephen Miller on with this.
00:01:13.900 Oh, and they say we're the ones that are providing misinformation, while they are now saying that the Texas bill on voting and CRT,
00:01:24.200 that the CRT bill will make it so we can't teach about the Klan.
00:01:29.860 We can't even teach about Martin Luther King.
00:01:32.380 Instead of going to some talking head who was probably masturbating during a meeting on Skype or whatever,
00:01:40.500 instead of doing that, what we decided to do was go to the guy who was actually using his hands to write a bill,
00:01:48.100 the Texas Senate bill and its author, all on today's podcast.
00:01:51.300 You're listening to The Best of the Glenn Beck Program.
00:02:05.960 This is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:02:09.340 We are very glad to talk to you this morning and bring you up to speed on the lies of Dr. Fauci,
00:02:17.100 and they are verifiable lies.
00:02:19.620 We laid it all out last week in our special, and I want to go through some of it.
00:02:24.400 We just talked about the research paper that was published in November of 2015,
00:02:31.640 one year after the moratorium, Dr. Xi and the Bat Lady in Wuhan,
00:02:38.340 as well as multiple other doctors from all over the world, including the United States, listed as authors.
00:02:45.620 This is a one year, one year after Obama said, can't fund this stuff.
00:02:50.720 OK, its description is, quote, a SARS like cluster of circulating bat coronaviruses shows potential for human emergence.
00:03:02.440 Now, what does that mean, human emergence?
00:03:06.080 That is gain of function research.
00:03:09.660 The virus they started, they started with a SARS like coronavirus that was present in bats in China.
00:03:18.400 It was not infecting humans at all.
00:03:21.120 So they went and they proceeded to manipulate it so that it was transmissible to humans known as gain of function research.
00:03:30.060 In the acknowledgement section, this is what Stu was talking about just a few minutes ago.
00:03:36.240 The acknowledgement funding and I'm quoting funding and support came from the NIAI, the NIH.
00:03:45.580 That's Dr. Fauci and USAID and from EcoHealth Alliance.
00:03:51.760 That's the money, that's the organization that Fauci gave the money to.
00:03:57.220 So they're accrediting the NIH and EcoHealth.
00:04:02.440 There was a halt on this research, remember.
00:04:06.300 That's why it has a little disclaimer, as Stu pointed out just a minute ago.
00:04:10.020 So these experiments were, quote, initiated and performed before the gain of research funding pause, gain of function research funding pause, and have since been reviewed and approved for continued study by the NIH.
00:04:27.180 So it's coming out and saying a year after the funding was supposed to be shut off.
00:04:32.120 It's saying we did these experiments before, however, this has now all been reviewed by NIH, a.k.a. Dr. Fauci, and he has approved this research to continue.
00:04:48.700 Gain of function research canceled for everyone else, with an exception of the Communist Party in China.
00:04:57.640 Now, they were also publishing academic studies describing the entire thing.
00:05:04.600 Money was flowing in the direction of Wuhan.
00:05:07.400 The study clearly acknowledges that.
00:05:10.020 So there's no way Fauci can deny it.
00:05:12.260 But he is.
00:05:13.280 He is lying under oath.
00:05:16.840 We know that U.S. taxpayer dollars were going to Wuhan, China, through EcoHealth.
00:05:22.820 But there is more evidence, more evidence of what was being done there.
00:05:27.640 Peter Daszak, in March 2016, that's the guy from EcoHealth or EcoHealth, in his own words, describing the type of research that was going on.
00:05:39.180 Do we have that sound?
00:05:40.860 Listen to this.
00:05:41.960 So we sequence the spike protein, the protein that attaches to cells.
00:05:47.480 Then we, well, I didn't do this work, but my colleagues in China did the work.
00:05:50.680 So you create pseudoparticles.
00:05:53.020 You insert the spike proteins from those viruses, see if they bind to human cells.
00:05:58.380 And each step of this, you move closer and closer to this virus could really become pathogenic in people.
00:06:04.260 So that's the very definition of gain of function.
00:06:09.520 That's a year after the report that Senator Paul held up.
00:06:14.500 So a year later, because in that report it says this has been approved by the NIH to continue research.
00:06:23.120 Here's Peter Daszak from EcoHealth saying this is what we're doing.
00:06:27.700 Now, remember, as we explained in the special last week, it's the presence of the spike proteins that is a mystery.
00:06:40.600 But the guy sending U.S. tax dollars to the Wuhan lab is explaining exactly what's going down.
00:06:46.320 He was on C-SPAN explaining what they were doing with the spike proteins.
00:06:52.740 That explains everything.
00:06:54.740 Why is this a debate?
00:06:55.660 Why is this even a mystery?
00:06:57.700 He's explaining it.
00:06:59.940 Then in November 2019, three researchers at the Wuhan lab fell ill with an illness that matches the COVID symptoms.
00:07:09.100 We didn't know this until May, just a couple of months ago.
00:07:13.860 And all of a sudden, that's when we started seeing the scientists and the doctors and the media start backtracking on their narrative.
00:07:20.040 Because we received proof that at least three researchers at the Wuhan lab fell ill with what appears to be COVID-19 before COVID-19 was eaten in bat soup.
00:07:36.920 How's that possible?
00:07:40.920 So let's skip ahead.
00:07:42.880 December 9th, 22 days before China would report a pneumonia-like virus breaking out in Wuhan.
00:07:50.600 That's December 9th.
00:07:51.920 Doctors and scientists are meeting all over the world, from all over the world, met in Singapore at the Virus International Congress, a conference.
00:08:03.340 If you look at the attendees, you have Peter Daszak of Echo Health.
00:08:08.660 You have Danielle Anderson, who was working at the Wuhan lab.
00:08:14.360 And she, by the way, was the one that really wrote the fact check trying to disprove the lab leak theory.
00:08:21.840 So when you hear that it didn't come from a lab, she's the one who built that case.
00:08:28.180 She was working there.
00:08:29.560 While they were working with the spike proteins on a bat coronavirus paid for by the NIH.
00:08:38.860 And then the other person that was at the conference was the bat lady.
00:08:42.960 That's quite a collection of people that, you know, before the pandemic officially began, they were all talking about what they were doing.
00:08:51.000 In fact, Peter Daszak even introduced Dr. Xi and tweeted photos of her.
00:08:56.140 Followed the tweet up with a comment of how you can get on and train at the Wuhan lab.
00:09:02.100 As soon as the coronavirus broke out and they started questioning where did it come from, he deleted all of those tweets.
00:09:11.160 Which isn't suspicious at all.
00:09:14.480 The conference was put on by an organization called the Coalition of Epidemic Preparedness Innovations.
00:09:23.200 They were launched in 2017 at Davos, of all places.
00:09:29.040 And you know who they are?
00:09:31.000 The World Economic Forum.
00:09:36.040 They've received funding from Norway, Germany, Japan, Canada, Australia, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
00:09:42.840 Along with this conference, along with the people from the World Economic Forum, the conference was co-sponsored by the World Health Organization and Dr. Fauci's NIH.
00:09:59.120 So you have all of the players who have everything to lose and quite honestly, you have at least one of the players, World Health, World Economic Forum, who has everything to gain.
00:10:14.220 These guys are the ones that Rand Paul is really going after.
00:10:20.480 We're going after Dr. Fauci because he was the liar.
00:10:25.440 And it will probably, if he even has to pay a price, it'll probably stop there.
00:10:30.680 But it goes all the way.
00:10:32.900 They have national governments, big business, huge organizations.
00:10:40.600 Who do you have in the fight?
00:10:45.020 Okay, there's one other thing.
00:10:48.600 On the special I did last week, there's arguments on whether this is natural or not.
00:10:56.700 And what they're saying is they can't explain the the spike proteins.
00:11:03.760 Well, spike proteins, they can be explained as they were.
00:11:09.460 By the report that went to Fauci and the Peter Daszak audio I just played for you, it explains they were manipulating those.
00:11:19.700 That's a sign that it's been a manipulated vaccine and they can't explain it any other way.
00:11:29.840 And so they're going back and forth.
00:11:31.700 No, but it's it can't be that because Fauci and everybody else says it can't be that we weren't doing that.
00:11:36.740 So how do we explain these?
00:11:38.400 So the two arguments is that it was a lab leak.
00:11:43.860 And just looking at the evidence, it seems to be the most likely.
00:11:50.800 You know, the virus started 277 meters from where the bat soup was.
00:11:57.200 Unfortunately, there they didn't sell those bats at the Wuhan market.
00:12:03.680 There's no evidence of anyone buying that that bat that has this coronavirus is from twelve hundred miles away in China.
00:12:13.160 You're not going, you know, you're not taking your little your little Chinese truck and you're a you're you're a bat salesman and getting the bats in a cave twelve hundred miles away to bring it to a local market.
00:12:25.060 It's not happening.
00:12:26.280 Now, you'll hear this from the Chinese and Dr. Fauci and anyone trying to disprove the lab leak.
00:12:35.840 They'll say, sure, parts of the virus make it easily transmissible and it looks odd, but it was likely involved in an animal and jumped from there.
00:12:45.120 But we haven't found the animal and we have done 50,000 tests on animals and we can't find the virus in any animal in that area.
00:12:56.600 None.
00:12:57.180 We can't find the original animal and we can't take this virus and inject it into bats and bats get sick from it.
00:13:05.260 The bats are rejecting it.
00:13:07.200 So why would they reject something that was incubated in them?
00:13:10.720 Hmm.
00:13:13.220 OK.
00:13:15.480 The other is the other thing is it was it was it was labs, but we can't find the animal there either.
00:13:23.160 I would like to suggest we're looking for the wrong animal.
00:13:27.160 Here's something you never hear about.
00:13:29.460 A research paper published in May, May 2020.
00:13:33.720 The path, the pathogenicity of SARS-CoV-2 in transgenic mice.
00:13:43.760 This came from Vanity Fair.
00:13:46.300 The research was published in 2020, but it was actually conducted.
00:13:50.340 Listen to this sometime in the summer of 2019.
00:13:56.060 And it was conducted in the Wuhan lab.
00:13:59.480 And the paragraph explains in Vanity Fair.
00:14:06.000 It's very complex.
00:14:07.440 But what it but it what it explains is how the Wuhan lab and the Bat Lady were artificially humanizing lungs in mice.
00:14:19.420 So they I don't even know how this works, but they were humanizing the lungs.
00:14:23.980 So it was more of a human lung in the mice.
00:14:26.620 And then they injected them with covid to see if it was more transmissible in humans.
00:14:34.780 So should we be looking for a mouse?
00:14:36.780 Because they were using mice with humanized lungs in the summer of 2019, and they were injecting this covid with a spike proteins into these mice in the summer of 2019.
00:14:49.900 And then before anybody got sick, three researchers that were working on this project in the Wuhan lab show up at the hospital two months before anybody else gets sick.
00:15:01.300 Two months before that.
00:15:03.000 And they're sick with covid like symptoms.
00:15:07.380 Gee, how is this not an open and shut case?
00:15:10.860 How is this not clear?
00:15:13.920 And how is Fauci getting away with lying in front of Congress with this much evidence?
00:15:22.980 Is there anybody in the media that will hold him responsible?
00:15:28.340 And not take off the kit gloves and actually start asking some tough questions.
00:15:37.800 Dr. Fauci is welcome on this program.
00:15:41.420 My office is going to be setting sending yet another request today.
00:15:47.540 And we will be demanding either acceptance or a rejection letter.
00:15:53.620 No more stonewalling.
00:15:55.640 Senator.
00:15:56.480 I mean, Dr. Fauci, we would love to have you, because if you're not lying, you just have to explain this.
00:16:04.060 Just explain it.
00:16:04.740 And I may not understand it, but there'll be somebody in the audience that will.
00:16:13.440 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:16:16.180 One of my one of my favorite guys is Jason Whitlock.
00:16:30.140 And when I first heard Jason Whitlock, his name, I thought, I'm not going to have anything in common with him.
00:16:37.140 He's a sports guy.
00:16:38.440 He's not a sport.
00:16:39.260 I mean, he is a sports guy, but he's not a sports guy.
00:16:41.800 He is so much deeper than that.
00:16:43.340 He's a culture guy and a really good man who admits his faults and is trying to be a better man.
00:16:51.760 Is there anything better than that?
00:16:53.420 Isn't that what we all should be doing?
00:16:54.800 Working every day to be better than we were yesterday?
00:16:57.700 He is the now Blaze TV host of Fearless.
00:17:01.540 And he is on with us now.
00:17:03.640 Hello, Jason.
00:17:04.240 How are you, sir?
00:17:05.360 How are you, Glenn?
00:17:06.300 I'm good, man.
00:17:07.500 How are things in our in our Nashville studios?
00:17:12.160 They're going well.
00:17:13.200 We're working hard and producing a lot of content and trying to be an asset for the place.
00:17:19.040 Yeah, well, you are.
00:17:20.000 The show is great.
00:17:22.260 It's really great.
00:17:23.600 I wanted to get your thoughts on the swimsuit issue because you were saying this is another historic moment in the rewriting of American history.
00:17:33.560 So tell me about it.
00:17:34.640 Well, look, the left is obsessed with being on the right side of history.
00:17:42.560 And so they keep writing about all these historic moments.
00:17:47.460 And allegedly, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, which features two black women and a transgender black woman on the cover.
00:18:00.980 This is now history, and it's a history-making deal.
00:18:05.160 So three black women or two black women and a transgender woman on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
00:18:12.280 And what they're doing is telling you the history they plan to write in the future.
00:18:18.280 And so in the future, they plan to write a history that defines Christian values as evil.
00:18:26.840 And they, the left, the left-wing media, they were ahead of the curve, and we embraced the whole transgender movement and men that feel like women and go through this surgery.
00:18:43.880 And now we consider them women, and men can have babies and all of this stuff.
00:18:49.680 They plan to write all this in the future, and they're squashing dissent very cleverly by writing this history-making event all in a racial narrative so that anybody that criticizes it, if they're white, you're a racist.
00:19:09.760 If you're black, you're a sellout and an Uncle Tom.
00:19:12.740 It's very clever what they're doing, how they're attacking Christian values, wrapping it in black packaging to silence us from saying, like, hey, man, this is wrong.
00:19:26.500 You're putting a biological man who, more power to him, has had surgery, and is now a woman, but...
00:19:35.420 No, no, no, no, no, he's not a woman.
00:19:39.320 Biologically, scientifically, not a woman.
00:19:43.760 He's calling himself a woman, and out of deference to him and, you know, whatever, we can call him a woman, but he is not a woman.
00:19:55.140 Totally agree.
00:19:56.220 And they want us afraid to say what you just said.
00:19:59.420 Correct.
00:20:00.220 Because, oh my God, Glenn Beck is racist.
00:20:02.640 No, first of all, I don't know, I think I would be bi-phobic, or what is the, transphobic?
00:20:11.060 Yeah, transphobic, yeah.
00:20:12.480 I just think that we need to be very careful, especially those of us who are in some sort of a leadership role,
00:20:20.180 and I say that almost barely being able to keep a straight face, those of us who are in the media,
00:20:27.160 we have to be very, very clear.
00:20:29.760 If I'm with that person in, you know, a private situation or at a party or whatever,
00:20:36.660 I will refer to her as she, if that's what makes her feel better.
00:20:41.220 But if something happens at the party and she has to be going to the hospital, I am going to tell the hospital she's a guy.
00:20:51.660 Because biologically, that may make a difference, you know, on what is happening and how they treat her, actually him.
00:20:59.960 I just think we need to be compassionate and also accurate.
00:21:07.660 And we need to be more accurate in the media so people understand we can be compassionate, but also scientifically correct.
00:21:18.280 I totally agree with you.
00:21:20.180 I think the left believes, though, people are less fearful of being called transphobic because the facts are so clearly on your side,
00:21:33.180 regardless of what they say.
00:21:34.880 That's a man born a biological man.
00:21:39.220 Yes, they have gender dysphoria and confusion and identity, but that is a man.
00:21:45.500 And so I think they feel like, well, Glenn Beck, he can argue factually.
00:21:51.420 Hey, I'm not transphobic.
00:21:53.180 I'm just stating facts.
00:21:55.240 They weaponize it, and that's why Sports Illustrated intentionally.
00:21:59.120 Because the goal is to push the transgender.
00:22:03.180 There's all these different gender identities.
00:22:05.820 And so they intentionally chose a black transgender to package this as some black history-making event because the accusation of racism is very subjective in the public space.
00:22:23.080 And anybody can argue anybody's racist.
00:22:25.720 And there are no facts.
00:22:27.380 People could care less.
00:22:29.820 And so that's the ultimate weapon that they're trying to silence all of us.
00:22:34.740 Glenn Beck, Jason Whitlock's a sellout.
00:22:38.780 He doesn't understand.
00:22:40.140 He's not on the right side of history on this historic black issue of blah, blah, blah.
00:22:46.740 Glenn Beck, you know, of course, he's conservative, and he believes in God, and that makes him racist, and Christianity is racist, and it justified slavery.
00:22:54.860 And, I mean, all factually wrong, but they seem to have won this argument over Twitter and social media.
00:23:05.760 And it's just frustrating.
00:23:07.740 So I just see what Sports Illustrated has done and a lot of legacy media.
00:23:11.740 They're just very clever and calculated.
00:23:13.860 I have to tell you, though, you know, and I would like you to explain this because I think I understand what you're saying, and I think we're saying the same thing, but we should make it clear.
00:23:26.880 They, you've said a couple of times, they believe they're on the right side of history, and this is why they're doing it.
00:23:33.500 They're changing their, they're writing history for tomorrow, today.
00:23:38.560 And, you know, I actually am glad they're putting all of this down on paper.
00:23:46.480 As somebody who is compiling a museum, we have, I mean, I have an entire, I could fill the vault just with the papers that I have on eugenics, the papers that I have on dismantling America, and how wrong they are.
00:24:07.100 They, the people who were for fascism here in America, or for communism, they were shamed by 1950 because it was shown to be a deadly, deadly killer.
00:24:21.300 But fascism wasn't a dirty word.
00:24:24.080 Eugenics, not a dirty word, until you saw what happened at the end.
00:24:28.800 When this society falls apart, and when it, when it completely breaks down, and we have to start all over again, these people will be on the record of being on the wrong side.
00:24:44.480 And, uh, I, I'm actually glad that they are, they are clear on what they believe is, is right and normal and natural.
00:24:55.660 Because it's not.
00:24:57.160 Glenn, I think you're accurate.
00:24:59.420 I think what they're arguing to their camp is, we're going to win.
00:25:05.140 Look at this massive lead we have.
00:25:07.820 We just put Joe Biden, a corpse, in office, in the White House.
00:25:12.280 Yeah.
00:25:12.880 We got a massive lead.
00:25:14.880 Glenn Beck, Jason Whitlock, they're so far behind us.
00:25:18.080 We're winning this culture war.
00:25:19.880 And, as we all know, winners write history.
00:25:24.160 Yes.
00:25:24.380 So they see themselves as the winners.
00:25:26.640 They're going to write the history that Glenn Beck, Jason Whitlock, they were wrong about the transgender issue.
00:25:34.060 They're wrong about everything else.
00:25:37.740 America doesn't need Christian values.
00:25:41.440 America needs Marxism, communism, equity, and all these other things.
00:25:47.420 Because, and, and I'm telling, they believe your grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be reading their book of history.
00:25:56.540 And you will be the bad guy.
00:25:58.480 Correct.
00:25:58.880 And I, and I believe there is a chance of that, because I don't know how long it's going to take to reset back to common sense and, and eternal truths.
00:26:07.160 But I want to ask you what they specifically think we're wrong about when it comes to transgender.
00:26:13.820 I'd, I'd, I'd like to hear your opinion on, on where we're wrong.
00:26:17.080 Because I think we're with most Americans when they actually, not when we're spun, but when we, it's exposed on what we actually believe.
00:26:27.880 Uh, I don't think we're off base with the vast majority of Americans.
00:26:35.840 Back with Jason Whitlock in just a second.
00:26:41.620 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:26:44.400 This is the Glenn Beck program, where we just don't let you know who we are.
00:26:53.000 Uh, we don't let you know that we're conservatives, uh, and that way we can brainwash people, uh, and feed them all kinds of misinformation.
00:27:01.600 Or it's the exact opposite of that, but you'll have to decide.
00:27:05.120 Um, the media right now is coming after Texas, uh, with both barrels, but they are, they're filled with fraud.
00:27:15.700 I mean, everything they're saying about the Texas bill on voting is not true.
00:27:22.740 Now they're actually saying that we're never going to be able to teach, you know, about Martin Luther King or, or, or Susan B. Anthony.
00:27:30.540 If the Republicans have their way, you'll never hear about those people in school.
00:27:35.540 Let me tell you something.
00:27:36.860 Critical race theory disagrees with Martin Luther King.
00:27:39.780 You keep critical race theory in, and you will lose Martin Luther King.
00:27:44.300 That's not what is in the Senate bill.
00:27:46.740 And instead of going to some expert who has read the bill and knows about the bill, and I got to tell you, this is what I read.
00:27:54.240 Let's go to the guy who actually wrote the bill.
00:27:57.440 The guy who can set the record straight is Brian Hughes.
00:28:01.520 He's a Texas state Senator.
00:28:03.240 He's the author of Senate bill three.
00:28:06.500 Welcome to the program.
00:28:08.280 Glenn, thank you for having me.
00:28:09.720 I'm so glad to be on.
00:28:10.960 You bet.
00:28:11.620 It must be so frustrating for you to see these, these, uh, uh, quote unquote, trusted voices.
00:28:20.380 Talk about the bill and just lie about it like they are.
00:28:25.140 Glenn, it's just beyond words.
00:28:27.800 We've dealt with media bias for a long time.
00:28:30.420 Everybody gets that.
00:28:31.740 But to falsely state objective facts and to do it again and again, and then to have this echo chamber.
00:28:38.140 And I'll tell you this.
00:28:39.580 You don't have to take my word for it.
00:28:41.460 Anyone can go to chapter 113 of the Texas Administrative Code.
00:28:45.180 That's where our curriculum elements are found at chapter 113, Texas Administrative Code.
00:28:51.040 That's before my bill.
00:28:52.500 That's after my bill.
00:28:53.580 It's still there.
00:28:54.600 And you will find many specific references to difficult subjects like slavery, the Ku Klux Klan,
00:29:01.380 eugenics, bright things like the women's suffrage movement.
00:29:04.780 A lot about Dr. King.
00:29:06.600 We, we adore and look up to Dr. King so much.
00:29:09.440 Uh, you'll find many references to him, to Susan B. Anthony, the civil rights movement, the underground railroad, the very things, the very things that we are accused of removing are specifically set out in the curriculum standards today.
00:29:24.000 Today.
00:29:24.600 That has not changed.
00:29:25.880 It's remarkable.
00:29:26.920 So what happened, what, what are they basing this on?
00:29:30.860 How could you possibly, how can an honest person read, uh, your Senate bill, uh, uh, three and come up with that?
00:29:40.560 Can an honest person do that?
00:29:43.200 I can see how you could look at the bill from last session.
00:29:46.140 There was a critical race theory that came out of the house last session, a bill about critical race theory, and it had a long, exhaustive reading list topics on the left and the right.
00:29:55.440 All kinds of American history.
00:29:56.740 And we heard from teachers and from the state board of education.
00:29:59.780 And they said, Hey, leave us the specifics, leave us the details in your bill.
00:30:04.140 Just put the broad topics.
00:30:05.280 So Senate bill three removes those specific items from the statute, but it leaves them where they belong over in the curriculum in chapter one 13.
00:30:14.380 I have not seen a single story, a single story about this.
00:30:18.080 Look at chapter one 13 in the law in Texas, Texas administrative code that lists Dr.
00:30:23.640 King, Susan B.
00:30:24.680 Anthony.
00:30:25.000 All right.
00:30:25.420 Underground will.
00:30:26.380 So what are the category?
00:30:28.780 What does this new bill say?
00:30:32.060 Oh, we're so excited about this bill because this says we're going to teach our students to judge people based on the content of their character, not the color of their skin.
00:30:41.160 It specifically says that in Texas public schools, we do not teach that one race is inherently superior to another, that one sex is inherently superior.
00:30:50.860 It specifically rejects white supremacy or any racial supremacy or inferiority.
00:30:56.380 It also says, Glenn, that one race members of one race are not inherently racist and unable to overcome their racism.
00:31:04.840 Do we have problems in America's past?
00:31:05.840 Do we have problems in America's past?
00:31:06.960 Of course.
00:31:07.640 And we teach American history and Texas history good, bad and ugly.
00:31:12.060 But we teach our students how we overcome it by coming together as Americans, not by being racist.
00:31:17.460 I am I don't know if you feel the same way, Brian, but I am shocked that we have to outline this in every state in the union.
00:31:31.640 I I can't believe this has been so well crafted and is so far down the road that we have to have these bills.
00:31:42.180 And I'm also shocked at the people who are standing up fighting against them.
00:31:47.260 Goodness, remarkable.
00:31:48.500 And perhaps one of the worst elements that we had this during the debate on this bill last week, one of the worst elements.
00:31:54.280 There is a teaching that meritocracy and work ethic and working art, that that's a racist construct.
00:32:01.980 What is the worst thing we could teach our children, regardless of their race, color, gender?
00:32:06.900 What's the worst thing we can teach them that hard work doesn't matter?
00:32:10.560 That's the essence of the American dream.
00:32:12.800 That's how everyone can succeed in this country like no place in the world.
00:32:16.960 And these people are suggesting that we should teach hard work and meritocracy is racist.
00:32:22.540 That's horrible.
00:32:23.440 I have to tell you, it's one of the things I mean, there's, you know, obviously a lot of things like I don't want my kids to be criminals and I don't, you know, all the things that you worry about.
00:32:32.580 I'd love my kids to have a great relationship with God, et cetera, et cetera.
00:32:36.220 But as a dad, I worry all the time about teaching my children work ethic.
00:32:44.700 You know, how do you I learned that, I think, through osmosis because my father was doing it.
00:32:49.940 We were all just expected to go to work with him.
00:32:52.640 We own our own business.
00:32:53.920 So at eight years old, I'm I'm working.
00:32:56.040 Well, I don't have that kind of business for my children.
00:32:59.860 And that that scares me that they they may not have the right work ethic.
00:33:06.020 And here we have our schools wanting to teach that that work ethic is racist.
00:33:13.980 That dismantles everything in our society.
00:33:17.980 Glenn, you said it will dismantles everything.
00:33:20.260 You and I and people that grew up in America understand this American dream, right?
00:33:25.100 That even if you fail before, no matter the color of your skin, no matter what your parents did, no matter where you were born, if you work hard and trust the Lord and play by the rules, you can succeed.
00:33:35.720 And you lift others up when you do that.
00:33:37.840 This critical race theory, this toxic, evil doctrine attacks the very heart of the American dream.
00:33:44.180 And let me just say this, Glenn, I'm going to this is pretty obvious.
00:33:46.720 And I haven't heard people talking about this in critical race theory.
00:33:49.600 They're teaching little white children that they should feel guilty about bad acts by previous generations of white folks.
00:33:57.020 But even worse, they're telling little children from minority communities, little black children, brown children, they're telling them, oh, you can never make it in America.
00:34:05.660 America is so racist.
00:34:07.200 It's so against you.
00:34:08.000 You'll always be second class.
00:34:09.760 What a horrible message to teach those children.
00:34:12.600 Let's teach them that we can all succeed.
00:34:14.540 Are there problems?
00:34:15.420 Yes, we'll overcome them together as Americans.
00:34:17.840 But everyone gets a chance.
00:34:19.900 Everyone can succeed in America.
00:34:21.480 And critical race theory, as you said, undermines the very heart of the American dream.
00:34:27.020 Teachers are already reporting.
00:34:28.980 They say that they're very beginning of seeing some of the early results of teaching critical race.
00:34:36.280 They say that they are already seeing white kids being rejected from playgroups and they're being ostracized.
00:34:45.800 And, you know, we did a study.
00:34:48.200 What was the name of that study back in the 1950s or 60s where they taught children that if you have blue eyes, you are inferior and you're to be feared.
00:35:00.800 And if you have any other color eye, you're fine.
00:35:04.680 And they they classified the children of blue eyes and they only did it in one day.
00:35:10.840 And they said by the end of the day, the children were already separating themselves and breaking friendships.
00:35:17.640 Can you imagine?
00:35:19.240 I mean, we know the results of this.
00:35:21.260 Can you imagine teaching this all throughout our country for even just a year?
00:35:26.840 What an impact this would have?
00:35:28.980 Oh, Glenn, what a nightmare.
00:35:30.720 You made the great point in that study demonstrates that racism has to be taught.
00:35:35.200 And we have we have challenges in our history, difficult challenges with racism even today.
00:35:39.860 But most folks would agree we are making progress.
00:35:42.620 We've got a long way to go, but we're making progress.
00:35:44.920 That's what Dr. King said.
00:35:46.000 This teaching, this critical race theory pushes us back generations.
00:35:51.560 It creates new racism in our country.
00:35:54.120 The last thing we need at a time like this.
00:35:57.420 So is this going to pass?
00:35:59.180 This bill is going to pass.
00:36:00.440 It is passed the Texas Senate.
00:36:01.780 As you know, over in the Texas House right now, we don't have a quorum because a number of our Democratic colleagues have left to go to Washington.
00:36:10.040 And so we don't know exactly what their plans are, but they're going to come back at some point.
00:36:14.720 They've got homes and families here.
00:36:16.280 And Governor Abbott says when they come back, he'll call us back for another special session.
00:36:20.740 And I can say for my part that I'll stay here as long as it takes and come back to Austin as many times as it takes to get these bills done.
00:36:27.980 Glenn, there's this bill.
00:36:28.880 There's election integrity you talked about.
00:36:30.800 There's free speech online, helping our retired teachers, children in foster care, property tax relief.
00:36:36.180 So many good bills we want to get passed, but we can't do it right now because we don't have a quorum in the Texas House.
00:36:42.400 Are you convinced that if we pass these bills that they're not just going to change the names or they're not just going to wink and a nod with the real radical teachers and they'll just teach it anyway?
00:36:58.400 Well, I'm glad you brought it up, because if you read this bill, it doesn't use the phrase critical race theory.
00:37:04.320 Rather, it describes in detail those pernicious doctrines.
00:37:07.960 But, yes, we're going to have to watch.
00:37:09.140 That question has come up.
00:37:10.320 We have great teachers in Texas.
00:37:11.940 We're thankful for them.
00:37:12.960 And most of them reject this, the vast majority.
00:37:15.420 In fact, I've heard from a number of teachers that support the bill.
00:37:18.460 And teachers have sent me examples of where they see this creeping into curriculum.
00:37:22.440 So the good news is we have great teachers in Texas that don't believe this.
00:37:26.600 We want to make sure that they're supported and they're not being pushed to teaching lies like this to our children.
00:37:32.840 Brian, thank you so much for being on with us.
00:37:34.660 This is Brian Hughes.
00:37:35.380 He's a Texas state senator setting the record straight and telling you exactly what's in the bill, not the lies from the mainstream media.
00:37:43.620 Texas Senate bill number three.
00:37:46.340 Brian, thank you so much.
00:37:47.280 God bless.
00:37:48.500 Thanks for having me.
00:37:49.260 You bet.
00:37:49.520 Na na na na na na.
