The Glenn Beck Program - Best of the Program ｜ Guests： Sheriff Bob Johnson & Michael Malice ｜ 5⧸6⧸22

00:00:00.000 ready to sure yeah i mean really i mean this is the intro to one of the greatest shows we've ever

00:00:05.800 done are you prepared so wait well when is this going to happen because we need to i know we have

00:00:11.700 to do this show let's just do today's intro okay for today's podcast and then we'll do the other

00:00:16.180 one for the for the really good show uh some other time uh here it is a show that we did

00:00:23.560 on friday we cover all of the bases war in russia uh bill o'reilly the you know the whole roe versus

00:00:33.860 wade thing i've heard about that yeah yeah that's been going on too we talk about all of it and so

00:00:39.560 much more it's a fun friday podcast here it is

00:00:43.320 you're listening to the best of the glenn beck program

00:00:53.800 we have uh jason betrill on with us hello jason good morning glenn how are you i'm good

00:01:05.080 well i'm i'm concerned about what's happening in russia and i think we learned on this program

00:01:14.000 um who was it stew that we had on oh it was uh jack carr we had on earlier this week and he

00:01:22.120 dumbed it down for us he's a fiction writer and he dumbed down what was going on with the military

00:01:28.680 in russia and explained they're out of troops because nobody's having babies because everybody's

00:01:37.320 you know like 50 years old and uh a drunk uh and i i say that half joking i just saw a um a report

00:01:47.400 that what is it 60 percent of the men are alcoholics in russia is that possibly true they're like they're

00:01:57.800 just living on vodka anyway um and so that's one of the reasons why they went into ukraine and one of

00:02:05.360 the reasons why sweden and finland are so nervous because they need to annex countries to be able to

00:02:12.500 have youth to be able to fight in their military because it's getting older uh they're not having

00:02:19.420 children and nobody's in the military is that right jason yeah and you know there was a lot

00:02:27.760 of talk uh last week and a couple weeks ago that they were going to continue to expand um many

00:02:33.940 people in the media were hearing the word transinista all of a sudden out of nowhere and they were

00:02:38.160 becoming military experts which i thought was pretty funny what is trans transinista one of the breakaway 0.98

00:02:43.560 regions uh you know uh similar to the one like abkhazia over in georgia okay um the ones that it's it's

00:02:50.060 one of those cold it's some of those like used to be kind of hot wars but are now cold wars where

00:02:54.960 there's just a bunch of russian troops sitting in other people's countries it's pretty crazy all 1.00

00:02:59.440 right um but the problem is is that russia doesn't have the troops they don't have the equipment there's

00:03:03.800 not an infinite supply of this stuff and they are losing it like you know it's a candy and a you know

00:03:08.860 in a fourth graders you know classroom because they they went through so many the the loss of troops

00:03:15.680 has been so high and there's just they're conscripting people now but there just isn't enough

00:03:22.760 people to you know have a million man army anymore right no and you're exactly right and some of the

00:03:30.040 videos that i'm seeing that are coming out of russia now is you know they're transporting by rail

00:03:34.720 across from siberia these war war ii era vehicles and sometimes civilian vehicles over into ukraine

00:03:41.640 because they're losing so many tanks in fact this just this week they lost one of their their most

00:03:46.000 advanced uh very very proud tank uh i think it's the t91 i believe is what it is it's their brand new

00:03:52.560 one they lost one of those in ukraine and those are severely limited so it's hurting western supplies

00:03:58.760 are hurting did we know this jason because jack carr did i mean he's a fiction writer he writes about

00:04:04.680 this kind of stuff he did he said he finds it inexcusable if we didn't know this well it's

00:04:12.040 interesting that you know the the russian the equipment a lot of people and me included have been

00:04:16.700 telling for a long time that russia is not a global superpower anymore there are regional power

00:04:21.560 and they're very limited in what they can do except for nukes except for nukes yeah that's really all

00:04:26.920 they have all right um and i yeah i keep hearing people talk about you know this there was a lot

00:04:31.180 of reporting about the sinking of the moskva which their which is their flagship right in the black

00:04:35.300 sea which is very very significant um because i would say that was a newer ship the pride of of

00:04:43.140 russia right yes it was yeah and um yeah and so that's a significant loss um but i i do think that

00:04:50.100 russia is going to be limited in how they respond to this okay so wait a minute i want to get to that

00:04:55.300 here in just a second um but it's important i think to set up that russia is not the superpower

00:05:02.120 that we all grew up thinking they were they don't have the military they do have all of the the nukes

00:05:10.980 but beyond that they are not a superpower they are they're outmatched by ukraine and what we're sending 0.76

00:05:20.060 okay um and this is going to be a a huge humiliating loss like what we just experienced and we didn't lose

00:05:33.880 but what we just experienced in afghanistan they are being exposed now as a paper tiger they just 0.84

00:05:42.740 don't have any teeth anymore um and so that makes if it was ronald reagan or even donald trump

00:05:50.840 a we wouldn't be in this situation but if we were in this situation and they came into office

00:05:57.160 i could see somebody like that who understands power through strength collapse them would you

00:06:03.760 agree with that expose them collapse them we don't have to deal with them anymore yeah right i i think

00:06:10.200 that and i think that washington and the biden administration completely shifted strategies

00:06:13.920 as well on this i think that when they saw what they were trying to do which was take all of ukraine

00:06:18.540 and failing so miserably they were like let's push further and see how far we can take okay so now

00:06:24.580 here's the concerning part yesterday we just admitted that yeah we targeted the ship we gave

00:06:31.320 them all the intel uh they couldn't have done it without us why would we do that i don't remember i

00:06:37.940 mean this is the way it's always been in the cold war they were always targeting our troops and helping

00:06:43.240 the other side etc etc we knew that but i don't remember any soviet leader going yeah look at us

00:06:50.820 okay they would go we don't know you're talking about but you were like we got pictures of you

00:06:56.080 don't know fake pictures american press fake pictures that's the way it used to happen i don't know of a

00:07:04.240 time that russia or america has ever said yeah yeah our covert ops look at this it's so dangerous

00:07:14.560 right it's dangerous it's it's i don't know if you would call yeah yeah i guess you can call it

00:07:20.840 escalatory it's very very it's different from that part right there is different from the way the cold

00:07:25.420 war wars were correct correct we always had plausible deniability even if it wasn't plausible to the

00:07:31.680 experts on each side okay right we didn't announce it to the world so it is when russia is saying

00:07:39.040 don't get involved in this war we are already involved in this war and now yesterday for some

00:07:47.020 unknown reason we just announced it to the press yep that was us okay because well hold on that that

00:07:53.420 reason i think is important if we could stop on that for a second because the president of the united

00:07:57.700 states has nothing to run on nothing he is his approval ratings in every category are terrible the

00:08:04.400 only one that he looks even moderately okay on is his support for ukraine and so i feel like the

00:08:10.240 reason they're promoting this domestically and making a big deal about every little victory they can

00:08:16.260 is to claim credit in the one area that's moderately popular and that's terrifying i think that that is

00:08:24.040 probably true coupled with this idea from somebody that we can expose russia and russia will look weaker

00:08:32.780 than we looked in afghanistan and so the world forgets about afghanistan and goes yeah russia is nothing

00:08:39.880 it's tied together though yeah it is it is there it's the combination of the two i think now here's the

00:08:46.040 scary part let me just flip the script here a bit let's just say that um there was a a soviet

00:08:54.540 or a russian pact and it included venezuela and cuba and other places in south america which we

00:09:02.580 already know that's what's happening right we all know that and they decided that or there was talk

00:09:08.980 that they were going to um go into uh mexico and make mexico part of that pact okay if that were

00:09:19.960 happening and we had evidence of that we wouldn't do what putin did but if they were putting let's say

00:09:25.460 missiles in there or whatever we would go across we'd cross into mexico and stop that okay it would

00:09:32.980 be in our best interest i think to do that we would at least threaten to do it we wouldn't have done what

00:09:38.740 what russia did but if the evidence were there we would go in to destroy those things that russia was

00:09:46.920 doing okay i'm just flipping the the situation now if our army was so depleted uh and russia was strong

00:09:58.100 and they just kept funneling money and they got other people in south america to start helping

00:10:04.000 and we had nothing and we knew that their next thing was to invade us or we strongly suspected

00:10:12.560 and we had nothing wouldn't we launch tactical nukes and wouldn't the country before look before

00:10:21.040 we shut the lights out on this thing it's this is the only option we have left we don't have the

00:10:28.500 troops we got to get them out of there let's scare them away because russia's not going to launch 1.00

00:10:34.620 nukes and destroy america they want it so they're not going to launch a full-scale attack

00:10:42.100 let's just lob a nuke in and flex our muscle and say back off wouldn't we at least seriously consider

00:10:51.640 that so glenn you sound exactly like the conversations from i've read from the history

00:10:57.000 books from khrushchev khrushchev was thinking the exact same thing in the early 1960s correct he was

00:11:02.800 like i am not sending military equipment into vietnam because i don't want another cuban missile

00:11:07.440 crisis on my hand right i don't want to tempt united states to start doing what you just said

00:11:11.880 sending tactical nuclear bombs with low-yield nuclear weapons and that all ended once bresniv

00:11:16.900 came into power in the mid-1960s all that he said you know what he said the same thing he said the

00:11:22.020 united states is a paper tiger our equipment right now is actually more advanced than the united states

00:11:26.500 was and it was right at the time we had never our pilots had never seen sam missiles before we had

00:11:31.740 never seen them united states lost 2 000 or just over 2 000 military planes including pilots due to

00:11:39.600 soviet serviced air missiles over 10 000 soviet troops went to vietnam and supplied i can't

00:11:46.840 remember it was over 2 000 tanks klishnikov rifles their aid to vietnam was far more than what we've

00:11:52.620 given ukraine right now this is how the cold war era militaries right and i think this is different

00:11:59.620 than any any place else if we were in afghanistan we wouldn't have done tactical nukes if we were

00:12:04.720 losing we would just pack up and go the american people wouldn't hear of it okay but because russia

00:12:11.440 is so ingrained in us and this is a uh a fight for global superpower status i could see them before they

00:12:24.680 step off the stage and lose i could see them absolutely going lob a tactical nuke in yeah

00:12:32.820 well and it's part of their it's part of their doctrine it's part of their and that's one of the

00:12:36.600 things that uh jack carr probably alluded to we kind of overstated what the grasimov doctrine was

00:12:42.640 which was their new military doctrine which as of now looks like the grasimov doctrine was let's just

00:12:47.940 send over some world war ii equipment and let it get blown up in the middle of mud season in ukraine 0.54

00:12:51.660 it's pretty poor but the end state of the grasimov doctrine is escalate to de-escalate which means

00:12:58.920 tactical nuclear weapons to scare everybody else off the battlefield and go oh let's hit the peace

00:13:03.940 table and give russia some concessions and i have to tell you if you look at it from their perspective

00:13:09.020 knowing that they're exposed they're done they lose this they're done they're exposed um that is

00:13:18.060 that's truly terrifying because from their perspective it would kind of make sense and the

00:13:23.640 other side if you take putin out he doesn't do it you take putin out you have the chance of getting

00:13:32.920 somebody who is an old soviet kind of mindset that is like no you you could get somebody who's like we

00:13:41.240 are rebuilding this superpower and damn it i'll use nukes yeah i mean you you could go either way it

00:13:48.680 could go either way it's really dangerous that's the most likely outcome i see for this because it's 0.96

00:13:54.940 very easy for a group of oligarchs and some generals to blame it all on putin and say look it was the 0.51

00:14:00.240 crazy guy that everyone knows has brain problems and cancer okay so let's just get rid of him okay so

00:14:05.400 jason give me um jason by the way is our head writer and um and uh former military intel guy 0.89

00:14:12.640 uh and so really watches the the state of the of global politics and uh and war give me the

00:14:20.520 the top two scenarios that you think are most likely to happen here most likely scenarios what i just said

00:14:28.180 i i think that the only way out i think the russians need a way out and i think the only way out 0.53

00:14:32.780 is to quietly have putin go away that is the most likely in my opinion because it gives them an out

00:14:39.240 it says it gives them someone to blame and uh it says hey it doesn't don't get me wrong this is not

00:14:45.260 going to get better we're not suddenly going to get a russian leader that all of a sudden agrees with

00:14:49.120 the west we are uh we're all we're adversaries and russia and the western europe will always be 0.72

00:14:55.260 adversaries but this will ratchet it down at least for a time being exactly this will give them

00:15:00.060 excuse for them to be able to pull back and say and kind of blame everything on him okay um which

00:15:05.360 i know he would love uh which makes him more dangerous i think uh the the other scenario another

00:15:12.300 scenario is uh well let me give you three so another scenario would be them settling basically with

00:15:18.180 eastern ukraine and drawing this out to a stalemate um basically making it happen yeah basically what it

00:15:24.780 was since 2014 uh eastern ukraine they'll stick with that next third is probably the more scary

00:15:31.520 and that is this escalates to where every every russian general is in agreement and they think the

00:15:36.460 only way out is to escalate to de-escalate so doesn't this doesn't this make this other piece

00:15:43.060 of the news that came out yesterday was sweden and finland said we have a guarantee from america

00:15:50.240 that if we ask we're going to be a part of nato that's what started all of this was just the idea

00:16:00.120 that nato was going to be expanded into ukraine which there was no truth to that at all

00:16:05.660 finland is extraordinarily important to russia uh that's a major escalation is it not 0.84

00:16:15.100 yes and the fins have a very proud history of kicking the soviet union and russia's butt all 0.61

00:16:21.540 on their own yeah i don't really think they need nato help on this uh yeah i i see this as more

00:16:27.200 worrying than anything else because as you said this is exactly what they said they were trying to stop

00:16:32.320 and this gives putin credibility saying see i told you exactly of course the reason why they're just

00:16:39.660 trying to jump into nato now is because russia decided to invade ukraine i mean like they weren't

00:16:44.960 planning on doing this until until russia invaded ukraine and then they were like wait a minute

00:16:49.700 we better freaking figure out a way don't announce it you just don't announce it you just said one day

00:16:58.060 say by the way we're in nato yeah no you say if this thing escalates right now it could peter out

00:17:05.180 but especially three days before victory day in russia where putin's gotta beat his chest about the

00:17:13.860 strong right you don't escalate it it's terrifying it's truly terrifying luckily we have real experts

00:17:20.180 at the helm oh my gosh they can walk this line real grown-ups real grown-ups jason thank you so much

00:17:26.440 this is the best of the glenn beck program and don't forget rate us on itunes

00:17:34.480 uh welcome to the glenn beck program we're so glad you tuned in today pat gray joins us from

00:17:44.680 pat gray unleashed hello pat hello glenn uh well i got a press release from the babylon b that i

00:17:51.940 think is important in a somber press release outside the burning gates of torment and suffering

00:17:56.220 the fire god moloch warned of a looming supply chain issue regarding child sacrifices moloch added

00:18:03.740 that human sacrifices purifications or deals by fire mutilations etc would have to cease until the

00:18:10.980 supply chain shortage was sorted out through democratically violent means my demon logistics

00:18:16.540 department is reporting a supply chain shortage of children to sacrifice upon burning aisles and

00:18:21.720 fiery pits said the god of brazen gratification and hedonism the scarcity of innocent young lives

00:18:28.180 to be brutally murdered at my feet is mostly due to the supreme court's upcoming reversal of roe versus

00:18:34.340 wade led by white supremacist clarence thomas an uncomfortably large percentage of the u.s population

00:18:41.420 cried out in fear and terror at the prospects of not being able to sacrifice children of a loving

00:18:46.960 heavenly father for their own selfish desires eyes rolled back in their sockets blood-curdling screams

00:18:53.160 pierced the air in the name of egomaniacal convenience what about my career as a corporate

00:18:59.100 drone who loves binge drinking on the weekends cried one woman at the steps of the supreme court building

00:19:04.360 while holding a protest sign reading my body my choice my vanity my career my parties my barren

00:19:11.480 loveless life at publishing time moloch was considering the allowance of back alley child

00:19:17.400 sacrifices using common household objects and horse medication

00:19:22.320 babylon b is so brilliant they are they really are never cease to amaze of course why why they're not

00:19:30.400 allowed to be on social media anymore right right they're not allowed to that's not that's not okay

00:19:35.300 you can't be funny no you can't ever on the on the right no it's not allowed um by the way um let's go

00:19:41.940 back could we go back to this stat of alcoholism because i have a i have a theory on this because stew

00:19:49.340 while in the last break we were talking about russians and the the alcoholism rate which is really

00:19:55.920 really high uh and what was the what was the stat that you found third uh russia's number one for male

00:20:04.120 alcoholics okay 36.9 percent of their males tied russian males 40 are alcoholics that's crazy right

00:20:13.420 wow crazy no that's not tied with hungary at number one but same kind of thing so what is number two is

00:20:20.600 belarus by the way so this is so it's all soviet states yeah so let me let me just uh throw out a

00:20:26.660 theory here on this well no give the other stat okay because where are russian women so women 1.00

00:20:32.600 russia is not number one they are number two uh at 7.4 percent who's number one the united states of

00:20:40.280 america we got it yeah yeah we got the gold women alcoholics we're number one so we are number one

00:20:49.420 with women as alcoholics okay and what is that number is it close 10.4 holy cow so to see how much 1.00

00:20:56.720 of an outlier almost every country on earth is below five percent there's a few like russia and uh

00:21:02.900 you know hungary again and uh you know belarus again are all in this like six to seven percent range

00:21:08.660 and then we're way up at 10 we're total what's the percentage for men in america that's a good

00:21:13.160 question uh male alcoholics moment um united states here we go uh 17.6 oh my gosh so about half of russia

00:21:24.040 but and and not nowhere we're right in the pack i mean we're a little higher than than average but

00:21:30.200 uh you know right we're okay we're not an outlier like we are with women let me ask you this is it

00:21:35.360 possible is it possible is this a a theory worth looking into that in russia what have you done to men

00:21:43.720 you've taken the natural hunter gatherer i can find my own way i can build my own business

00:21:53.620 be my own man and you've killed that and you've so you only have the men who are subservient to the

00:22:02.440 society or the ones who have said i'm breaking out and they're thug you know killers or uh or thieves

00:22:13.820 oligarchs right so there's only one two versions of a man just do what the state says or be a 0.99

00:22:23.600 thug uh how many men want to live in that world they've taken and taken away the uh the real man

00:22:34.800 and replaced it with the cartoon man or the the you know the one that just has to go along with

00:22:43.240 everything you know in america we are suppressing the actual and denigrating the natural woman

00:22:52.420 you know you can you can have a job do whatever you want but the natural woman 1.00

00:22:59.060 we are we are mocking everything that they are that they are different than men 0.98

00:23:06.420 that this maternal instinct that you can be a mom

00:23:11.200 is is that possible that the reason why russia is number one is because they've killed the man

00:23:19.740 and america's number one because we're killing the woman it's it could be possible yeah it's an

00:23:26.700 interesting theory it's a it could be a contributing factor i mean is it a sound theory i don't i mean

00:23:31.740 i don't know you just presented it i don't i don't have any evidence to back it up no no i know that i'm

00:23:35.740 saying is it a sound is it a sound idea that might be backed up yeah i mean i i come up with

00:23:42.000 some questions i mean like we you know european women seem to be lower on this list than than uh 1.00

00:23:49.420 i think we've led the world on this though you know women need a need a man like fish need a bicycle 0.99

00:23:56.120 you know what i mean we've we've led the way of this this feminist uh marxist uh you know

00:24:06.340 woman they've done they've they've done a job on men too in this country yeah i know well i know but

00:24:13.920 we're we're behind yeah we're behind soviets have been doing it forever yeah uh and then the russians

00:24:20.800 when they took over you know they didn't go to capitalism it it went to you know a mobocracy

00:24:26.700 uh and so you know we're just by i'm telling you religion is the way to go to fix all of this

00:24:36.040 now some might say this would be the time that you would want to be a blaze subscriber

00:24:45.800 and and be watching the show instead of just listening to the show but i have no idea what

00:24:53.100 they're talking about um i think we can i think we all know how to solve the women's issue

00:25:00.260 we've heard a lot about it this week yeah that's true we sure have under his eye under his high uh

00:25:07.760 okay so uh pat welcome to the program what's the big story for you well it's the same one it's been

00:25:14.340 all week yeah um uh you know the the response of course to the supposed supreme court decision

00:25:21.280 uh and uh the reaction of people like hillary clinton to it because she's terrific she is great

00:25:29.980 and i think i hope is right because she said this might get her to run again no but who else do they

00:25:38.660 have who else nobody did you hear that kamala would not join uh joe biden for a press conference

00:25:46.780 because she wants to distance herself from his administration

00:25:51.360 that's great when when kamala's like no i don't want that stink on me that's saying something yeah 1.00

00:26:00.140 it is yeah and that's who they have right they have is who they have they have the president of

00:26:03.760 the united states terrible and they can't run him they cannot run him in 2024 it's impossible

00:26:08.480 let me he wants to run though of course he wants to i hope they can't let him they can't let him

00:26:13.640 and they can't have kamala they can't she's too unpopular she was unpopular with the democrats 1.00

00:26:20.520 yeah she was the least popular of all the candidates she was out before they where's wasn't 1.00

00:26:26.020 she out before the primary started oh yeah before the primary so she had a you know a run to the top 1.00

00:26:31.200 of the polls uh toward the beginning and then that faded and then she was gone instantly so i have to

00:26:36.160 tell you something that is just so oh so satisfying um the women's health protection act which was 0.52

00:26:43.620 been going through the senate and everything else um and it would make abortion a statutory right 0.98

00:26:49.900 they were passing this through and it uh talked it talked about uh transgender men

00:26:58.780 a capacity for pregnancy with transgender men non-binary individuals and those who identify

00:27:05.780 a different gender and others so um our good friend chuck schumer is removing all of that

00:27:14.640 that language now that's funny yeah uh and he said that just marginal changes you know just to be more

00:27:20.740 inclusive i thought by putting transgender non-binary individuals that was being more inclusive right

00:27:28.180 they have to throw the trans people under the bus now because uh they're worshiping at the altar of 1.00

00:27:35.420 of abortion and that's paramount to them it's even it's even a little bit more important to them 0.59

00:27:42.300 than the trans movement yeah and it's the one they think they could take advantage of at this moment

00:27:47.440 which is how they make every decision you know it doesn't matter there's never an attempt to maintain

00:27:52.380 logical consistency it's not a priority in any way it's just whatever they need to say today that's why

00:27:58.580 gavin newsom is getting in trouble yeah yeah because he said well you know if men could get pregnant

00:28:03.100 then they'd understand and everyone's losing their mind the trans people are losing their mind on them 0.99

00:28:07.020 and they have to understand they don't care about you yeah right they don't care about you at all

00:28:10.940 they've never cared about you why did you why did you believe them yeah by the way um my favorite from

00:28:16.820 the week on this discussion are the videos of panicked women my favorite said this in case you're a man

00:28:25.100 who doesn't care about roe versus wade just know that if abortion gets banned the hookup culture will 1.00

00:28:32.060 be decimated yeah what woman is going to have mediocre sex with a drunk random man if he could 1.00

00:28:38.680 potentially father their child yeah amen this amen like this is something that we should be like oh 0.99

00:28:45.620 wait a minute the hookup culture oh wow we can't lose that yeah let's keep that's part of the problem

00:28:51.540 that's part of that's one of the things that maybe is destroying us as a society and a culture

00:28:57.120 is just like uh i want to have sex with anybody right now uh let me get on the app and see who's 0.72

00:29:05.200 closest to me that really is it really is it works right now yeah did you guys see the sex island thing 0.94

00:29:11.640 going on no now i thought he was dead no no that's a different island okay there's more than one now

00:29:18.880 there's an event going on and i believe it started so if you want to go you'd have to you might be a

00:29:23.300 little late but it is called sex island it costs forty five hundred dollars to attend and uh you can 0.72

00:29:29.600 go to this and have sex with as many women as you'd like there's a hundred they guarantee at least two 1.00

00:29:35.740 per day uh and you have a hundred women there and they will have said they're i guess i bet they 1.00

00:29:40.620 are good looking do you get to see them first yeah and i bet the guys i bet the guys that are

00:29:48.800 going good oh yeah good looking this might be an island we should support abortion that's kind of i 0.97

00:29:56.320 think these types of things yeah could be problematic in a post roe versus wade oh that would be sad

00:30:02.900 though i i believe nevada will keep abortion i'm mildly mildly confident of it pretty true by the way 0.98

00:30:09.520 cnn chairman the new chairman says he wants to try some things in chris cuomo's old slot he said

00:30:15.300 we're just going to mix it up we're going to try some things some try some new things telling the

00:30:18.900 truth accurately reporting things might be something they should try but i not not not on the idea board

00:30:24.780 i doubt it's not on the vision board right now so do you remember stew you said msnbc could be

00:30:30.500 replaced by a random word generator you remember saying that yeah okay it was last week or this week

00:30:35.840 yeah this week um we have done a test okay there is smart copy the ai writer do you know about this

00:30:47.720 no okay so there is smart copy which if you don't if you can't write you don't write you just put in

00:30:53.940 the thing and it will randomly generate a story for you okay like through artificial intelligence yes

00:30:59.900 so what we started with we said republicans are a threat to democracy if ron de santis is elected

00:31:06.260 he's going to be much worse than trump republicans live in fear threaten the rights of lgbtq and are

00:31:12.100 racist so we put that into into smart copy okay tell me this doesn't sound like a legitimate msnbc story

00:31:21.100 democracy has been under attack from trump and the gop since the moment he was elected 0.99

00:31:26.360 ron de santis who was a guest on fox and friends this morning stands in line with everything we've

00:31:32.420 seen out of trump but he'll be worse if he wins democracy is under attack we have to stand up now

00:31:39.140 this is not normal we can't keep going down this road and we can't forget what they stand for

00:31:45.420 republicans live in fear and threaten the rights of lgbtq people people of color and of course our civil

00:31:52.860 rights they're racist sexist homophobic and everything we must fight against at the state 0.83

00:31:59.120 level gop governors have been enacting voter suppression laws to keep minorities from voting

00:32:04.840 and republicans in congress have been putting a stop to any checks on trump on trump's power this is

00:32:11.640 not normal we have to do something about it that could absolutely be on msnbc right now in the prompter

00:32:17.780 that was ai generated wow if they just threw a handmaid's tale reference in there then it would

00:32:25.140 be complete you have to throw that in a conspiracy theory you're listening to the best of the glenbeck

00:32:34.760 program all right i've been waiting to talk to you sheriff i have been waiting a while sheriff uh bob

00:32:49.860 johnson is uh is on with us now from santa rosa county florida sheriff how are you i'm doing good how

00:32:58.120 are you i'm very good i have to tell you uh i don't know what the average person thinks you know

00:33:05.840 especially in in in blue states but when i hear quote if someone's breaking into your house you're

00:33:13.040 more than welcome to shoot them in our county we prefer you do actually or uh we're hoping this will 0.98

00:33:19.920 be the third strike and he'll go to prison and not get out because we're tired of dealing with him 0.99

00:33:23.700 trying to you know to be honest with you if somebody breaks into your house you can shoot 0.99

00:33:29.260 and kill them the chances of them re-offending then are zero and we like those odds holy cow sheriff 0.87

00:33:36.520 nobody a lot of people think that nobody says that well and i can tell you what they say in blue 0.98

00:33:44.460 states because i've gotten about 300 death threats since then and which is kind of amazing all these

00:33:49.740 people who hate violence and don't want criminals to be shot but yet they want to come here and kill

00:33:54.120 me that's kind of an oxymoron don't you think wow you've gotten a lot of death threats yeah but it's

00:34:00.420 all from states where you can't buy a gun anyway so i really don't care it is what it is

00:34:06.300 have you always been this way or has our society pushed you farther in this direction

00:34:13.020 no i got elected in 2016 and and you know my citizens will tell you my press conferences can

00:34:19.920 be pretty entertaining sometimes yeah and because i speak i speak my mind and you know like you said

00:34:25.100 earlier it's common sense somebody's breaking in your house they're not bringing you cookies or

00:34:29.160 going to give you a hug they're coming in there to break more laws i.e murder rape or whatever 1.00

00:34:34.420 and you know in santa rosa county a lot of our citizens have guns and i promote the use of them 0.98

00:34:40.560 if somebody breaks in their house like i said in the press conference shoot them yeah come in there

00:34:45.220 do the paperwork and get it over with it's not as though um you know i mean i i if somebody breaks

00:34:51.900 into my house as far as i'm concerned you know uh you're on my territory you start to threaten my

00:34:59.040 children you i don't know what you're doing in the house i warn you and if you keep coming towards us 0.99

00:35:05.340 i will find you and i will shoot you uh because i don't know what your intent is i have absolutely 0.99

00:35:11.120 no problem with that however i'm not for shooting people there's a real difference here and people 0.99

00:35:17.260 don't understand that yeah there's a big difference i'm not advocating people go out on the sidewalk and

00:35:23.120 find people they don't like and shoot them i mean obviously that's against the law but when you're in 0.71

00:35:27.320 your home and somebody kicks your door in and then comes in your home um yeah you shoot them i tell you 0.98

00:35:32.960 what they do at my house they're gonna in a long dark tunnel with a light at the end of it with 0.99

00:35:37.680 elvis and grandma because i'm gonna shoot them multiple times uh so have you found the person as 0.98

00:35:44.980 the citizen that shot this criminal and wounded him uh no no they missed they missed oh they missed 0.98

00:35:52.260 yeah yeah that's why i said that uh press conference you know come take our class you

00:35:56.620 will make it more accurate next time you'll hit them so how did you know that someone shot

00:36:01.940 but didn't know who it was did the criminals say yeah no no what happened was we had about 20

00:36:09.020 deputies out there and they were on a perimeter and they were closing the perimeter in as we got

00:36:13.440 reports of where he was at and then one of the officers on the perimeter said shots fired multiple

00:36:18.200 shots fired um and none of our deputies shot so obviously it was a homeowner and shortly after

00:36:24.220 the gunshots we saw him going over a privacy fence into the next yard where he kicked in another door

00:36:30.460 and that's where we cornered him in a bedroom and then he jumped out the window and they caught him

00:36:34.580 in the backyard and so this the community member who had the burglar in his house and shot and missed

00:36:41.420 didn't want to identify himself and you think it was for fear of he thought he was going to get in

00:36:47.300 trouble yeah yeah well that's i'm assuming that yeah because they didn't come forward i'll tell you

00:36:52.880 right now obviously you know as i said in a press conference you know you're not in any trouble

00:36:56.960 i mean you you're more than welcome to protect yourself and your family in your own home that's

00:37:01.620 just common sense so that's got to be wildly different because i i know when i lived in

00:37:06.060 connecticut uh and i went through gun safety uh classes you know you call nine nine one one

00:37:11.920 and you put the phone down and you make sure you're announcing you're afraid for your life yada yada

00:37:17.540 because you'll be in court for a year if you shoot right if you shoot somebody um not not that way in

00:37:24.520 your county no not that way in my state you know we have a great governor who supports law enforcement

00:37:30.660 and um you know we as long as you're legally allowed to possess a gun you know and you're in

00:37:37.040 your own home you don't have a duty to retreat somebody kicks in your door um you know and they're 0.98

00:37:41.880 coming at you you can shoot and kill them and you are perfectly within your rights to do so by

00:37:46.340 florida law i have to tell you this it i because i talked to sheriffs here in in texas and we have 0.99

00:37:52.120 most of them are just like you i mean the big cities now they're just they're becoming crazy

00:37:56.940 um but uh they're just like you and this this spirit used to exist everywhere in america and it's yeah

00:38:06.080 it's remarkable to me that you stand out in a country full of sheriffs which are you are our last

00:38:14.700 defense when it comes to our rights yeah yeah definitely you know constitutional officers

00:38:22.060 you know our fundamental responsibility is a protection of our citizens everything else is

00:38:26.820 second so and when you have somebody kick in your door and we have a great response time here in

00:38:31.820 santa rosa county we really do for a hot call what we call a hot call some burglary in progress or

00:38:38.220 whatever it's three to five minutes and that's pretty quick if you look at the national average

00:38:42.360 but what can happen in three to five minutes a lot a lot a lot a lot that's why we have our homeowners 0.95

00:38:49.320 we we tell them please arm yourselves come take our safety class make sure you're safe with the

00:38:54.480 weapon and know how to store it keep it away from kids but when you need it you can access it and take

00:39:00.240 care of business it is um it's remarkable to me most people don't know the term first responder

00:39:06.300 began in the uh in the uh sorry carter years under the carter administration um and it was

00:39:14.320 intentionally put there to make sure that people didn't feel like they were the first responder

00:39:20.440 but right that but we are we call you for backup you know what i mean not to correct cower in our

00:39:28.420 house right right and like i said three to five minutes you say great response time but in three to

00:39:35.100 five minutes if you come in at home and you have a weapon i mean you can kill five six seven people

00:39:39.560 in that time frame before we get there well only if you have a weapon of war that has more than one

00:39:44.980 shot and i'm just saying yeah it's amazing too that's another thing on gun control so they think

00:39:51.780 that's the only law criminals will abide by if we say you can't have guns well they'll abide by that one

00:39:56.980 yeah no you know it makes me nervous that what we're doing with ammunition um the uh the biden

00:40:03.940 administration not separate and apart from the the uh uh boycott that we have on russia with oil this is

00:40:12.620 separate and apart this started before it we've banned all russian um uh ammunition in america which

00:40:19.820 is the number one kind of ammunition for you know going out and at a shooting range uh and 40 percent of

00:40:27.900 all of our ammunition comes from russia he's banned it for separate reasons uh and that scares me

00:40:35.660 because if you do have a gun you should be practicing you should be shooting it you don't

00:40:41.140 want to pick it up and not feel comfortable with it in your hand well glenn you better calm down now 0.79

00:40:47.900 you're making sense you don't know that's calling you with that threat so it's incredible yeah no i agree

00:40:53.920 100 you know you need to practice with them and that's why we put on this class it was every other

00:40:58.900 saturday now we're doing it we've had such a demand we're doing it every saturday now um for our

00:41:03.720 citizens it's free of charge and we're going to try to get as many of them spun up on how to handle a

00:41:09.280 weapon as we can so they can protect themselves and we're proud of that fact in santa rosa county what

00:41:14.980 what cities are in your county that we might know um gulf breeze navarre milton um we're right in

00:41:22.820 between pensacola and destin on the gulf coast okay yeah you're in the same part of of florida

00:41:27.980 yeah we call it god's country yeah it's beautiful it's beautiful yeah um all right thank you so much

00:41:34.300 i really appreciate it sheriff keep up the good work thank you for having me take care bye-bye uh that is

00:41:40.680 sheriff bob johnson uh from florida please find out who your sheriff is you know when you go to vote

00:41:49.200 and just says sheriff for my whole life i was like i i don't know it matters these are the guys they are

00:41:57.680 constitutionally elected they don't report to anyone but the voters according to the constitution

00:42:05.880 and so when there is a real problem it will be the sheriff that will that will rule over your county

00:42:15.360 that will either keep you free and safe or not i have a sheriff in my county and i've said to him

00:42:23.800 what happens if they ban guns they come for guns you know i don't think that's going to happen but

00:42:29.580 then again i didn't think roe versus wade would ever be even argued uh let alone uh repealed and he

00:42:36.860 said well that's when i deputize every single citizen in the county and you better have a gun

00:42:42.400 uh that's the kind of sheriff that you need one that knows the constitution and knows their role

00:42:51.400 as a sheriff

00:42:52.740 you
