The Glenn Beck Program - Best of the Program ｜ Guests： State Rep. Michael Murphy & Ezra Levant ｜ 3⧸6⧸23

00:00:00.160 He's amazing. Amazing. He's the guy from Canada. In case you don't know, we had him on today for the podcast. You'll hear him in today's podcast.

00:00:08.220 He is a journalist from Canada that I can't imagine doing journalism up in Canada now.

00:00:15.760 He is constantly under attack from the government. And the things that he's covering are so important.

00:00:24.840 Today, he's covering the pastor, the next pastor thrown into the Canadian gulag.

00:00:32.400 This guy was protesting at a library where they had a drag queen story hour.

00:00:39.360 If our pastors are awake, they should be protesting these things.

00:00:44.500 They should be active. They should be outspoken.

00:00:47.720 But this guy is in jail, and it's not the first time he was in jail.

00:00:52.520 So we'll talk about that.

00:00:55.880 Also, a little bit about what happened at CPAC this last weekend.

00:01:01.600 Oh, Samantha Power just kind of blurted out on CNN that it's a war with... 0.54

00:01:06.900 Am I reading that right? I mean, is there any way to take that audio?

00:01:10.600 I think it would be great to hear what people think of that.

00:01:14.020 It's tough to come up with another coherent explanation of what she said,

00:01:17.800 other than she knows we're already at war with Russia.

00:01:20.180 Yeah. We're at war with Russia, but that's why it's so important to have the Ukrainians fighting. 1.00

00:01:26.860 Wait, what?

00:01:28.700 All this and so much more on today's podcast. Here it is.

00:01:31.420 The Daily Beast yesterday put a headline out about Michael Knowles and his speech at CPAC.

00:01:54.180 And it said that Michael Knowles wants to get rid of the transgender community. 0.95

00:02:04.480 It needs to be eradicated. 0.97

00:02:07.420 He's a Daily Wire host, a podcaster.

00:02:10.100 Now, I know Michael Knowles.

00:02:13.700 Michael Knowles is the last one to be like,

00:02:16.640 you know who we should eradicate or liquidate?

00:02:20.080 I haven't heard him talking too much about liquidation.

00:02:23.340 No, it's not really him.

00:02:25.940 That's not what he said.

00:02:27.140 What he said was,

00:02:28.440 there can be no middle way in dealing with transgenderism. 1.00

00:02:32.320 It is all or nothing.

00:02:34.420 If the idea of transgenderism is true, 1.00

00:02:37.640 and men can become women, 0.77

00:02:39.780 then it is true for everyone of all ages.

00:02:42.500 If transgenderism is false, 0.98

00:02:45.460 as it is,

00:02:46.500 if men cannot become women, 0.73

00:02:49.000 as they cannot,

00:02:50.360 then it is false for everyone to.

00:02:52.520 And if it is false,

00:02:53.600 then we should not indulge it,

00:02:55.540 especially since that indulgent requires taking away the rights and customs of so many people.

00:03:01.200 If it is false,

00:03:02.940 then for the good of society,

00:03:04.400 especially for the poor people who have fallen prey to this confusion,

00:03:07.760 transgenderism must be eradicated from public life entirely. 1.00

00:03:13.520 The whole preposterous ideology at every level. 0.95

00:03:18.280 So he's talking about the ideology,

00:03:21.540 not the people.

00:03:23.480 Nice spin there.

00:03:24.380 Right.

00:03:24.860 But I think he should sue the Daily Beast for that.

00:03:28.700 But that's the difference.

00:03:31.780 I don't know of anybody who is a constitutional Republican.

00:03:36.080 See, that's what we're for, guys.

00:03:38.700 What do you guys stand for?

00:03:40.080 The Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

00:03:42.400 If you stand for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights,

00:03:46.160 nowhere in there does that give you any power to liquidate people.

00:03:51.280 Okay?

00:03:51.840 It says you have a right,

00:03:55.120 if you want to be transgender,

00:03:57.640 and you find a doctor that wants to do that to you,

00:04:00.480 that's fine.

00:04:01.880 And what am I going to say about it?

00:04:03.920 Okay?

00:04:04.160 You have the right to be who you want to be.

00:04:08.160 You can do it.

00:04:09.580 Have fun.

00:04:10.920 But you don't have the right to force all of us,

00:04:13.840 and especially when it comes to things that are not true.

00:04:18.660 And this is not true.

00:04:21.620 Men cannot have babies. 0.95

00:04:24.580 Period.

00:04:25.200 That's it.

00:04:26.520 Well, yes, they can,

00:04:27.920 because they used to be a woman. 1.00

00:04:29.280 They're still a woman then. 0.88

00:04:30.660 There's some sports team that,

00:04:33.620 I can't remember which one it was.

00:04:34.620 Oh, I know.

00:04:34.640 Did you see this?

00:04:34.980 Yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:04:35.420 I can't remember who it was.

00:04:36.620 I remember it was one of the Canadian teams that came out

00:04:38.460 for International Women's,

00:04:40.560 or Women's History Month, I guess is now,

00:04:42.480 I don't know. 1.00

00:04:42.940 Everybody's got a stupid month. 1.00

00:04:44.220 Who cares? 1.00

00:04:44.460 I don't know why anyone would want a month about your history. 1.00

00:04:46.740 It's stupid from beginning to end. 1.00

00:04:48.760 But they released a video. 1.00

00:04:50.000 They were like,

00:04:50.460 oh, you know, women are impressive. 1.00

00:04:51.980 Moms are great. 1.00

00:04:53.180 You know, women are the only people who can have babies. 1.00

00:04:55.300 They are the only ones who can be moms. 0.96

00:04:57.080 Not even intending to be like,

00:04:58.780 here's a right-wing statement of policy.

00:05:00.920 It was just like a,

00:05:02.320 hey, let's praise women. 1.00

00:05:03.600 The truth.

00:05:03.920 It's just the truth.

00:05:05.680 And say something, you know,

00:05:07.680 powerful and unique about a woman

00:05:09.820 who is the only one who can birth a baby. 1.00

00:05:12.100 It's incredible, right?

00:05:13.000 And it is.

00:05:13.660 And then they realized

00:05:16.280 they weren't allowed to say that anymore.

00:05:18.160 And they deleted the video

00:05:19.620 and apologized profusely

00:05:21.720 for the utter, unmitigated gall

00:05:26.080 of saying that men could not have children. 1.00

00:05:29.720 I mean, it's so pathetic in every way. 0.99

00:05:33.300 So here's the thing 0.97

00:05:34.840 that I think we all need to remember.

00:05:36.760 We fought the Nazis.

00:05:39.320 And it was important to say

00:05:41.960 we were fighting the Nazis.

00:05:43.660 And not the Germans. 0.97

00:05:45.360 Why?

00:05:46.440 Because we were not fighting the Germans. 0.54

00:05:48.840 We were fighting the ideology.

00:05:51.900 That's why we didn't kill all the Germans. 0.93

00:05:55.040 Okay? 0.97

00:05:55.420 There were lots of them.

00:05:57.660 Lots of them.

00:05:58.780 That probably should have been imprisoned

00:06:00.420 and weren't.

00:06:02.180 But we just didn't win the war

00:06:04.180 and they go,

00:06:04.760 oh, you were in the Nazi party?

00:06:06.240 Bang! 1.00

00:06:06.620 We were killing the ideology.

00:06:12.080 And if you still wanted to be a Nazi, 0.63

00:06:14.680 it wasn't good for you to be hanging out places,

00:06:17.640 you know, near the soldiers.

00:06:19.480 Because they would kill you. 0.96

00:06:21.680 Or they'd imprison you. 0.99

00:06:23.720 You may notice that we're now allied

00:06:25.520 with both Germany and Japan.

00:06:27.460 Yes.

00:06:28.200 Right?

00:06:28.480 Because we don't believe it's the people.

00:06:32.040 It is the ideology.

00:06:35.000 And this is when they reveal themselves like this,

00:06:38.400 you should pay attention.

00:06:39.860 When they say, you know,

00:06:41.480 oh, we're just going to reduce,

00:06:42.900 you know,

00:06:43.480 our energy dependence.

00:06:46.260 And then they're shut down power plants.

00:06:48.660 I'm going to show you on a special this week.

00:06:51.280 It's going,

00:06:52.480 I'm telling you,

00:06:53.460 you're not going to believe what they've done.

00:06:58.100 You're not going,

00:06:58.960 I mean,

00:06:59.340 and I say that with knowledge of the stuff

00:07:01.460 that I've always said to you,

00:07:02.480 you're not going to believe it.

00:07:03.940 No, no, no.

00:07:04.860 This one goes so far beyond

00:07:07.160 what is

00:07:09.160 reasonable.

00:07:12.420 It's anti-human.

00:07:14.040 It is absolutely anti-human

00:07:15.920 what they're doing.

00:07:16.840 And I'm going to show it to you on Wednesday,

00:07:19.960 what they have put in the

00:07:21.660 Inflation Reduction Act.

00:07:24.820 You know,

00:07:25.360 when you say you're going to reduce

00:07:27.060 and, you know,

00:07:27.680 you don't care,

00:07:28.320 you're going to blow up a pipeline

00:07:29.920 and you don't care that that means

00:07:32.080 that there's going to be an energy shortage

00:07:33.680 and people will die from either heat

00:07:35.760 or cold.

00:07:38.600 You're,

00:07:39.140 you're, 1.00

00:07:39.940 you're a monster. 1.00

00:07:41.400 You're a monster. 1.00

00:07:43.800 It's amazing. 1.00

00:07:44.740 You know,

00:07:45.160 there's a clip going around right now

00:07:47.040 on,

00:07:47.520 from Jon Stewart from this weekend.

00:07:49.380 Yeah.

00:07:49.600 It's a big viral clip.

00:07:50.540 You know,

00:07:50.680 Jon Stewart takes on guns

00:07:51.980 and slams 0.62

00:07:52.700 pro gun guy

00:07:54.420 or whatever,

00:07:55.120 you know,

00:07:55.480 we're going to debunk it

00:07:56.240 on Studios America tonight

00:07:57.540 on Blaze TV.

00:07:58.820 But one of the sort of

00:08:00.460 side offshoots of this,

00:08:01.700 they get into the drag queen story

00:08:03.060 hour a little bit.

00:08:04.120 And it's so fascinating

00:08:05.640 because the pitch from the left

00:08:07.340 is

00:08:08.160 conservatives

00:08:09.320 hate people who are different. 0.67

00:08:11.440 They hate people

00:08:12.060 with alternative lifestyles

00:08:13.360 and look at them.

00:08:14.720 They're trying to ban

00:08:15.840 their ability to speak.

00:08:18.140 And it's like,

00:08:19.280 have you ever heard

00:08:21.500 a conservative,

00:08:22.300 I,

00:08:22.680 and maybe I'm missing some.

00:08:24.380 Have you ever heard

00:08:25.040 a conservative

00:08:25.500 object,

00:08:27.440 protest,

00:08:28.520 try to ban

00:08:29.480 drag queens

00:08:31.960 holding events

00:08:33.160 in nightclubs?

00:08:34.640 No.

00:08:35.520 Holding

00:08:36.120 events that are

00:08:38.040 targeted at adults?

00:08:39.300 No.

00:08:40.420 No.

00:08:41.280 If you wanted to.

00:08:42.360 I mean, I'm sure there are

00:08:42.700 some communities

00:08:43.620 that do that. 0.84

00:08:44.680 Sure.

00:08:45.100 There may be some.

00:08:46.660 Though I,

00:08:47.120 you know.

00:08:47.260 That's not a platform.

00:08:48.100 It's certainly not a policy

00:08:49.480 platform by Republicans

00:08:50.600 by any means.

00:08:51.540 No.

00:08:51.900 And I don't even know,

00:08:52.640 like,

00:08:52.980 I don't know that there's

00:08:53.660 any policy

00:08:55.040 even by,

00:08:56.280 like,

00:08:56.380 for example,

00:08:56.740 a church group might say

00:08:57.920 this is wrong

00:08:58.800 and we don't think

00:08:59.340 it's the right thing

00:08:59.860 for you to be doing.

00:09:00.620 And they may protest it,

00:09:01.440 but like,

00:09:01.780 there's not a movement

00:09:03.160 in law or policy

00:09:04.740 to say,

00:09:05.960 hey,

00:09:06.400 we should stop

00:09:07.480 drag queen story hours

00:09:08.960 at nightclubs.

00:09:10.320 Right.

00:09:10.600 It's just for children.

00:09:12.420 That's it.

00:09:12.840 That's it.

00:09:13.400 That's it.

00:09:14.220 Don't do this to children.

00:09:16.400 That's all we're saying.

00:09:18.040 Yeah.

00:09:18.460 Well, let me ask you this.

00:09:19.780 Here,

00:09:20.060 let me show some footage now.

00:09:21.460 We'll have to describe it.

00:09:22.640 I'll let you describe it.

00:09:23.740 Oh, no.

00:09:24.280 This is some footage.

00:09:25.580 This comes out of

00:09:26.600 a drag queen act

00:09:30.380 for babies.

00:09:32.200 Now,

00:09:32.860 you can describe.

00:09:33.800 Can you take that full maybe

00:09:35.740 and get a little bigger?

00:09:36.560 Or maybe smaller.

00:09:37.680 Yeah.

00:09:38.240 You could try to shrink it

00:09:39.180 so we can't see it.

00:09:39.960 There you go.

00:09:40.300 Seems to be someone

00:09:40.980 in a harness of some sort,

00:09:42.800 mostly naked,

00:09:44.580 upside down,

00:09:45.600 and leather,

00:09:46.280 like a dominatrix situation.

00:09:47.960 Yeah,

00:09:48.220 except it's a guy.

00:09:49.260 Well,

00:09:49.560 I'm sorry.

00:09:50.200 It's a woman.

00:09:51.000 He can have babies.

00:09:52.240 I'm sorry.

00:09:52.840 She can have.

00:09:53.700 No.

00:09:53.920 And seems to be

00:09:54.760 pretty naked.

00:09:56.360 Pretty naked

00:09:57.000 and a thong

00:09:57.760 and maybe topless.

00:09:59.140 Yeah.

00:09:59.820 Yeah.

00:10:00.480 It's good,

00:10:01.040 huh?

00:10:01.460 No,

00:10:02.080 it's not good at all.

00:10:03.160 Now,

00:10:03.460 I don't mind

00:10:04.260 if you go to a club

00:10:05.500 and that's what's happening

00:10:06.820 at the club.

00:10:07.700 Okay.

00:10:08.820 Fine.

00:10:09.680 If that's what you want.

00:10:10.540 Right.

00:10:11.180 Good for you.

00:10:11.980 That's probably legal.

00:10:13.380 Say hi to Hunter Biden for me.

00:10:15.000 Yeah.

00:10:15.780 But other than that,

00:10:19.000 no,

00:10:19.420 with schools,

00:10:20.300 babies,

00:10:20.940 children?

00:10:21.380 Yeah.

00:10:21.840 No,

00:10:22.220 I don't think so.

00:10:23.360 How about this one?

00:10:24.560 This is going to be a hard test.

00:10:26.400 School administrator

00:10:27.140 tells teachers

00:10:28.020 to keep students'

00:10:29.260 gender transitions

00:10:30.160 a secret

00:10:30.940 from their parents.

00:10:32.500 You're a teacher.

00:10:34.060 What do you say?

00:10:37.240 No.

00:10:37.880 Okay,

00:10:38.300 good.

00:10:38.520 Well,

00:10:38.660 it took you a while.

00:10:39.720 I was like,

00:10:40.400 the question was so obvious

00:10:41.600 I was perplexed.

00:10:42.420 I thought maybe

00:10:42.820 I was missing something.

00:10:44.160 Yeah,

00:10:44.640 you just say no.

00:10:45.720 No.

00:10:46.080 No.

00:10:46.540 But that's not what's happening.

00:10:48.640 A lot of teachers

00:10:49.160 are just going,

00:10:49.800 okay,

00:10:50.360 I got it.

00:10:51.460 I'm with you.

00:10:53.300 That's just evil.

00:10:54.640 It's just.

00:10:55.520 Incomprehensible.

00:10:56.320 Evil.

00:10:56.640 And like,

00:10:57.040 it's such a bizarre time too

00:10:58.440 where you are,

00:10:59.900 if you're at work

00:11:00.780 and you're at lunch at work

00:11:03.780 and you tell a risqué joke,

00:11:08.360 you are in danger

00:11:10.180 of being me too'd

00:11:11.700 and thrown out of all society.

00:11:13.540 Right,

00:11:13.780 right,

00:11:14.320 yes.

00:11:14.500 For a joke

00:11:15.660 or a comment

00:11:17.240 or whatever.

00:11:18.120 Correct.

00:11:18.760 Yet at the same time,

00:11:19.820 these same people

00:11:20.760 who want to throw you

00:11:21.640 out of society

00:11:22.200 are defending

00:11:23.100 naked men

00:11:24.780 in thongs 0.99

00:11:25.600 around babies

00:11:26.540 This is the best

00:11:28.400 of the Glenn Beck program

00:11:29.280 and don't forget,

00:11:30.480 rate us on iTunes.

00:11:33.380 We have Michael Murphy on.

00:11:35.440 He is a Republican

00:11:37.060 Kansas state representative

00:11:39.700 because Kansas

00:11:41.240 has just introduced

00:11:42.820 the toughest

00:11:44.640 anti-ESG bill

00:11:46.600 in the country.

00:11:49.180 And Michael,

00:11:50.280 I can't thank you enough

00:11:51.120 for spearheading this

00:11:52.820 and all of the brave people

00:11:54.180 that are standing with you.

00:11:56.800 Well,

00:11:57.180 Glenn,

00:11:57.380 I can't thank you enough

00:11:58.200 for helping us

00:11:59.540 get the word out.

00:12:00.440 I really appreciate it.

00:12:02.440 So,

00:12:02.760 tell me about it.

00:12:03.580 It is

00:12:04.180 HB 2404

00:12:06.700 and

00:12:08.120 Senate Bill 224.

00:12:09.920 And tell me

00:12:11.420 what they do.

00:12:12.100 What do they cover?

00:12:13.980 Well,

00:12:14.360 they cover four aspects.

00:12:16.560 The first aspect

00:12:17.540 is the proxy voting

00:12:19.160 and or divestment

00:12:20.540 in relation to

00:12:21.360 state monies.

00:12:22.940 Then there's

00:12:23.640 a state contract.

00:12:24.780 Hang on,

00:12:25.020 let me just explain

00:12:26.300 divestment.

00:12:26.860 What this means

00:12:27.500 is when you have

00:12:30.100 a state pension,

00:12:31.780 usually,

00:12:33.240 you're voting,

00:12:34.600 you're voting

00:12:35.600 those shares

00:12:36.420 in these companies.

00:12:37.720 Usually,

00:12:38.220 it just becomes

00:12:38.780 a proxy vote

00:12:39.620 and the investment

00:12:41.300 firm can

00:12:42.340 just assign

00:12:43.980 those votes

00:12:44.640 however they want.

00:12:45.920 This is saying,

00:12:46.700 no,

00:12:46.820 no,

00:12:46.940 no,

00:12:47.280 we keep

00:12:47.940 the voting rights.

00:12:48.840 You can have

00:12:49.480 the money,

00:12:49.920 but you're not

00:12:50.700 voting

00:12:51.180 just on your own.

00:12:53.500 Correct?

00:12:53.920 That's correct.

00:12:54.460 That's correct.

00:12:55.380 And like BlackRock

00:12:57.100 has done with

00:12:57.720 ExxonMobil,

00:12:58.580 they've replaced

00:12:59.220 two board members

00:12:59.980 and I think

00:13:00.340 they're working

00:13:00.640 on a third.

00:13:01.420 Right.

00:13:01.740 So,

00:13:02.200 this is pretty important.

00:13:03.520 Right.

00:13:03.700 So,

00:13:04.180 yeah,

00:13:04.440 there's that

00:13:05.320 and also,

00:13:05.820 not just our

00:13:06.320 retirement,

00:13:07.560 but the other

00:13:08.280 state monies

00:13:09.100 that are taken in,

00:13:09.860 you know,

00:13:10.060 like the monies

00:13:10.820 that are taken in

00:13:11.380 for taxes,

00:13:12.180 et cetera,

00:13:13.300 is invested.

00:13:13.980 It doesn't just

00:13:14.380 sit there.

00:13:15.040 Good.

00:13:15.380 And so,

00:13:15.880 we're going to try

00:13:16.560 to keep control

00:13:17.500 of all that.

00:13:18.240 Okay,

00:13:18.480 good.

00:13:18.740 The second part

00:13:20.160 is in relation

00:13:20.940 to state contracts,

00:13:23.180 sort of like

00:13:23.680 what West Virginia did,

00:13:24.920 pretty much the same

00:13:26.120 as West Virginia.

00:13:27.420 The third part

00:13:28.500 is fair access

00:13:29.280 or a consumer protection.

00:13:31.300 This one is,

00:13:32.260 hang on just a sec,

00:13:32.820 this is really important

00:13:33.900 because what happened

00:13:35.700 to Donald Trump,

00:13:36.840 if it was an accident,

00:13:38.740 it would have been

00:13:39.280 corrected immediately

00:13:40.520 because if you are,

00:13:42.700 if you have your account

00:13:43.540 closed,

00:13:44.020 you're turned down

00:13:44.620 for a loan

00:13:45.140 or whatever,

00:13:46.420 they have to tell you

00:13:48.440 why.

00:13:49.700 If they are,

00:13:50.780 if they are using

00:13:51.540 anything other than

00:13:52.840 finances,

00:13:53.580 they have to tell you

00:13:54.860 what it's based on

00:13:56.420 and why,

00:13:57.160 correct?

00:13:58.180 That's exactly right.

00:13:59.460 And,

00:13:59.980 and honestly,

00:14:00.760 you know,

00:14:00.920 this is,

00:14:01.300 just this portion

00:14:02.560 is what I introduced

00:14:03.200 last year

00:14:03.880 and ran into

00:14:04.780 a buzzsaw

00:14:05.400 and,

00:14:05.840 and the buzzsaw

00:14:07.460 is continuing

00:14:08.060 this year

00:14:08.580 and we'll talk

00:14:08.980 about that here

00:14:09.540 a little bit.

00:14:10.360 Yeah.

00:14:10.660 Anyway,

00:14:11.460 so anyway,

00:14:12.340 yeah,

00:14:12.480 that's,

00:14:12.760 that's a very

00:14:13.180 important part

00:14:13.740 of aspect of it

00:14:14.580 as well as

00:14:15.460 we also have

00:14:16.160 an informed

00:14:16.560 consent section.

00:14:17.640 So if you're

00:14:18.340 investing your,

00:14:19.500 your personal

00:14:20.160 finances

00:14:21.100 and all like that,

00:14:21.660 they have to tell

00:14:22.480 you if you are,

00:14:24.200 if it's going

00:14:25.100 to be invested

00:14:25.600 in an ESG fund.

00:14:27.720 Okay.

00:14:27.740 So how can

00:14:29.380 people help

00:14:30.500 you?

00:14:31.060 What is the

00:14:31.500 situation on the

00:14:32.380 ground to get

00:14:32.900 this through?

00:14:34.100 Well,

00:14:34.520 the situation

00:14:34.980 on the ground

00:14:35.380 right now is

00:14:36.140 once again,

00:14:36.560 I said,

00:14:37.000 you know,

00:14:37.240 we've,

00:14:37.500 we've run

00:14:37.880 into a buzzsaw

00:14:38.560 with the

00:14:39.020 Kansas Bankers

00:14:39.660 Association

00:14:40.280 and the

00:14:40.580 Kansas Chamber

00:14:41.120 of Commerce.

00:14:42.440 Yeah.

00:14:42.700 Look,

00:14:43.220 if you,

00:14:44.220 if you belong

00:14:45.000 to the Chamber

00:14:45.500 of Commerce,

00:14:46.120 get out of

00:14:46.520 the Chamber

00:14:46.860 of Commerce.

00:14:47.860 They are not

00:14:48.940 looking,

00:14:49.920 I'm sorry,

00:14:50.420 this is not,

00:14:51.520 this is absolutely

00:14:52.880 the opinions

00:14:54.120 of Glenn Beck

00:14:54.720 or not necessarily

00:14:55.540 those of Michael

00:14:56.220 Murphy.

00:14:56.520 get out of

00:14:58.660 the Chamber

00:14:59.040 of Commerce.

00:14:59.920 They are not

00:15:00.880 your small

00:15:01.720 business friend

00:15:02.900 and the

00:15:04.760 Bankers Association

00:15:06.000 is in bed

00:15:07.400 with ESG

00:15:08.400 and they are

00:15:09.700 putting everything

00:15:11.220 and,

00:15:12.160 you know,

00:15:12.300 the small

00:15:12.740 local banks,

00:15:13.680 they don't,

00:15:14.940 they are so

00:15:15.520 afraid of the

00:15:16.660 big banks

00:15:17.320 that they won't

00:15:18.360 come out

00:15:19.020 and say,

00:15:19.860 this is really

00:15:21.200 bad for our

00:15:22.220 local banks.

00:15:23.100 They'll say it

00:15:24.020 quietly,

00:15:24.540 but they will

00:15:25.240 never say it

00:15:25.980 publicly.

00:15:26.520 Because they're

00:15:27.240 terrified of

00:15:27.900 what will

00:15:28.140 happen to

00:15:28.540 them.

00:15:29.840 Exactly.

00:15:30.600 And so what's

00:15:31.380 going on is

00:15:31.860 we did everything

00:15:33.120 we could in

00:15:33.980 relation to this.

00:15:35.080 You know,

00:15:35.280 the bill was

00:15:35.740 introduced and

00:15:36.360 we since then

00:15:36.920 have come up

00:15:37.300 with some

00:15:37.740 amendments to

00:15:39.220 make it really

00:15:40.620 to where it

00:15:41.100 doesn't hardly

00:15:41.620 affect anybody

00:15:42.580 in Kansas

00:15:43.140 because this

00:15:43.540 really comes

00:15:44.100 from outside

00:15:44.540 of Kansas

00:15:44.980 anyway.

00:15:45.720 Yeah.

00:15:45.960 And so we

00:15:46.520 were trying

00:15:47.180 to protect,

00:15:48.600 you know,

00:15:49.100 Kansas'

00:15:49.520 rights,

00:15:49.960 business rights,

00:15:51.400 everything like

00:15:51.720 in Kansas

00:15:52.440 from these

00:15:53.000 outside forces.

00:15:54.720 And so when

00:15:56.200 we keep

00:15:56.660 softening it

00:15:57.560 up like that

00:15:58.180 in relation

00:15:58.700 to that,

00:15:59.440 the goalposts

00:16:00.080 keep moving

00:16:00.580 with the

00:16:01.320 bankers in

00:16:01.920 the chamber.

00:16:03.120 And so it

00:16:03.400 kind of tells

00:16:03.880 you,

00:16:04.140 well,

00:16:04.420 okay,

00:16:04.720 who are they

00:16:05.060 really protecting?

00:16:06.120 That's my thing.

00:16:08.200 And so I,

00:16:09.200 it's just sort

00:16:10.140 of,

00:16:10.380 we're going to

00:16:10.920 battle.

00:16:11.960 There's actually

00:16:12.620 another bill

00:16:13.400 that was introduced

00:16:14.180 a couple weeks

00:16:15.120 ago that is

00:16:15.720 just the proxy

00:16:16.640 section.

00:16:18.420 And unfortunately

00:16:19.100 leadership on

00:16:20.900 the House

00:16:21.240 side wanted

00:16:22.740 to go that

00:16:23.700 direction.

00:16:24.260 Of course they

00:16:24.780 do.

00:16:25.460 We pushed

00:16:26.340 back really,

00:16:27.200 really hard.

00:16:27.680 I've got a lot

00:16:28.140 of good support

00:16:28.800 in the House

00:16:29.780 and the Senate.

00:16:31.160 And we are

00:16:32.520 working,

00:16:33.220 and this may

00:16:34.000 end up actually

00:16:34.600 with a third

00:16:35.200 bill,

00:16:35.600 I don't know

00:16:36.180 yet.

00:16:37.100 But there is

00:16:37.640 a lot of

00:16:38.160 negotiations

00:16:38.740 going on in

00:16:39.280 the background

00:16:39.720 and some

00:16:41.080 headbanging,

00:16:41.700 maybe some

00:16:42.100 knees capped,

00:16:43.100 I don't know.

00:16:43.780 Yeah,

00:16:44.120 I wouldn't doubt

00:16:45.100 it.

00:16:45.220 It is,

00:16:45.600 it's thuggery,

00:16:46.920 it's thuggery

00:16:47.580 at this point.

00:16:48.400 It is.

00:16:49.000 I want you,

00:16:50.500 if you are in

00:16:51.360 Kansas,

00:16:52.120 I need you to

00:16:53.240 call your

00:16:54.140 state senator

00:16:55.100 and your

00:16:55.680 state house

00:16:56.480 and tell them

00:16:58.000 that you want

00:16:58.920 HB 2404,

00:17:01.260 House Bill

00:17:01.900 2404,

00:17:03.800 and identical

00:17:05.020 SB Senate

00:17:07.200 Bill 224.

00:17:09.400 These are

00:17:10.120 the most

00:17:11.040 comprehensive

00:17:11.760 anti-ESG

00:17:13.280 bills in

00:17:14.840 the country.

00:17:15.680 Kansas now

00:17:16.620 is leading

00:17:17.400 the way

00:17:18.080 against ESG.

00:17:20.180 If these

00:17:20.880 bills can

00:17:21.500 pass,

00:17:21.960 they will

00:17:23.000 not pass

00:17:24.520 if you

00:17:25.520 don't burn

00:17:26.280 up the phone

00:17:26.880 lines in

00:17:27.720 your state

00:17:28.280 house and

00:17:29.180 talk to them.

00:17:29.700 because I'm

00:17:30.220 telling you,

00:17:31.440 the Kansas

00:17:31.900 Bankers

00:17:32.640 Association

00:17:33.200 and the

00:17:33.960 Chamber of

00:17:34.420 Commerce,

00:17:34.880 and this

00:17:35.160 is in

00:17:35.460 every state,

00:17:37.000 they are

00:17:37.740 putting pressure

00:17:40.080 on and doing

00:17:41.600 dog and pony

00:17:42.400 shows like you

00:17:43.120 would not

00:17:43.920 believe to make

00:17:44.900 sure that ESG

00:17:46.020 stands in your

00:17:46.940 state.

00:17:47.320 So it's

00:17:48.500 only the

00:17:49.240 voice of

00:17:49.700 the people

00:17:50.220 that will

00:17:50.980 get this

00:17:51.880 through.

00:17:54.360 So please

00:17:55.400 call your

00:17:56.440 senator and

00:17:57.240 your House

00:17:57.860 member in

00:17:59.480 your state

00:18:00.440 if you're in

00:18:01.940 Kansas,

00:18:02.500 HB 2404

00:18:03.820 and SB

00:18:04.920 224.

00:18:06.260 We also

00:18:07.040 I would

00:18:07.960 add to

00:18:08.620 call the

00:18:09.720 speaker's

00:18:10.440 office and

00:18:11.000 the Senate

00:18:11.780 president's

00:18:12.240 office as

00:18:12.600 well.

00:18:13.380 Okay.

00:18:15.060 There is

00:18:16.060 it's

00:18:17.780 interesting

00:18:18.520 how we

00:18:19.220 are again

00:18:20.140 finding

00:18:20.880 ourselves

00:18:21.560 with

00:18:22.420 conservatives

00:18:23.040 who say

00:18:23.660 they're

00:18:23.880 conservatives

00:18:24.400 who are

00:18:25.840 trying to

00:18:26.840 sabotage

00:18:27.600 any of

00:18:29.600 this stuff.

00:18:31.180 Exactly.

00:18:32.060 It's a

00:18:32.480 real problem

00:18:33.300 and of

00:18:33.800 course some

00:18:34.100 of this

00:18:34.380 comes from

00:18:34.800 people who

00:18:35.240 don't really

00:18:35.760 fully understand

00:18:36.680 the full

00:18:37.180 scope of

00:18:37.600 what this

00:18:38.060 ESG mess 1.00

00:18:39.120 can do.

00:18:41.360 I'll have

00:18:41.940 people come

00:18:42.420 to me and

00:18:42.860 say man I

00:18:43.680 was all on

00:18:44.140 board with

00:18:44.420 your bill but

00:18:44.960 my banker

00:18:46.080 called me the

00:18:46.620 other day and

00:18:47.020 he's scared to

00:18:47.600 death and

00:18:47.980 told me I

00:18:48.420 need it and

00:18:49.040 I said has

00:18:49.400 your banker

00:18:49.820 read the

00:18:50.320 bill?

00:18:51.620 Does your

00:18:52.180 banker know

00:18:52.680 that this

00:18:53.000 bill protects

00:18:54.160 them?

00:18:54.700 It doesn't

00:18:55.180 hurt them.

00:18:56.020 And they're

00:18:57.040 not getting

00:18:57.440 that because

00:18:57.900 they're just

00:18:58.160 getting the

00:18:58.480 lies.

00:18:59.720 So the

00:19:00.520 big thing

00:19:00.920 is like

00:19:01.780 everything else

00:19:02.400 we've got

00:19:03.100 to be

00:19:03.300 educated.

00:19:04.640 Well thank

00:19:05.180 you so much

00:19:05.800 for all of

00:19:06.460 the hard

00:19:06.720 work that

00:19:07.100 you've done

00:19:07.500 on this.

00:19:08.100 When could

00:19:09.180 this come

00:19:09.660 up for a

00:19:10.100 vote if

00:19:10.400 the people

00:19:10.780 are pushing?

00:19:12.220 Well actually

00:19:12.740 tomorrow there's

00:19:13.900 a hearing for

00:19:14.380 224 on the

00:19:15.780 Senate side.

00:19:16.660 I'll be

00:19:16.980 testifying there

00:19:17.820 as well as

00:19:18.380 a number of

00:19:19.120 other people

00:19:19.560 as a proponent

00:19:20.820 of course.

00:19:21.820 And on the

00:19:23.020 House side

00:19:23.600 we're not

00:19:25.280 entirely sure

00:19:26.220 but the

00:19:27.100 Speaker did

00:19:28.900 make it a

00:19:29.380 priority this

00:19:30.040 year to do

00:19:30.400 something about

00:19:30.900 ESG so they're

00:19:31.720 going to have

00:19:32.060 to do

00:19:32.280 something.

00:19:33.180 So we're

00:19:33.500 just pushing

00:19:34.700 for the

00:19:35.180 biggest

00:19:35.760 something there

00:19:36.480 is.

00:19:36.860 Yeah something

00:19:37.380 is not always

00:19:38.380 better than

00:19:39.020 nothing.

00:19:40.360 That's correct.

00:19:41.260 If you just

00:19:42.440 do something

00:19:43.080 and people

00:19:43.820 think that the

00:19:44.300 job's been

00:19:44.840 done you just

00:19:45.360 move on.

00:19:46.220 And that's a

00:19:47.300 dangerous thing.

00:19:48.400 Michael at the

00:19:49.760 end of the day

00:19:50.320 would you reach

00:19:50.940 out to my

00:19:51.420 staff and just

00:19:52.080 tell me how

00:19:52.540 the response

00:19:53.160 was and if

00:19:53.940 there is

00:19:54.440 you know if

00:19:55.640 you need

00:19:56.000 more help

00:19:57.260 please reach

00:19:58.580 out let

00:19:58.920 me know

00:19:59.200 what's

00:19:59.480 happening on

00:19:59.940 the ground

00:20:00.280 there will

00:20:00.620 you?

00:20:01.380 I certainly

00:20:01.880 will and I

00:20:02.320 appreciate

00:20:02.620 everything you've

00:20:03.120 done for us

00:20:03.520 Glenn.

00:20:03.820 You bet.

00:20:04.180 Thank you.

00:20:04.680 The best of

00:20:05.280 the Glenn Beck

00:20:05.780 program.

00:20:08.380 Ezra my good

00:20:09.180 friend.

00:20:09.700 Ezra Levan is

00:20:10.840 the Rebel

00:20:12.400 News founder.

00:20:14.300 He has his

00:20:15.120 own show.

00:20:16.000 He has I

00:20:17.140 just found out

00:20:18.220 they refer to

00:20:18.980 him or did

00:20:19.780 refer to him as

00:20:20.640 the Glenn Beck

00:20:21.420 of Canada.

00:20:22.760 I am so

00:20:23.400 sorry for that.

00:20:24.340 But he is

00:20:27.320 he's I wish

00:20:29.160 you were here.

00:20:29.880 I wish you

00:20:30.480 were here

00:20:30.720 fighting with

00:20:31.520 us or we

00:20:33.380 were up there

00:20:33.860 fighting with

00:20:34.360 you because

00:20:35.300 we're fighting

00:20:35.760 exactly the

00:20:36.620 same battle

00:20:37.200 and it's

00:20:38.100 disturbing what

00:20:39.380 is happening

00:20:40.060 up in Canada

00:20:41.680 because you're

00:20:42.620 going dark in

00:20:43.320 some really bad

00:20:44.260 places.

00:20:45.200 For the longest

00:20:45.580 time Canada

00:20:46.400 was polite

00:20:47.900 friendly cold

00:20:49.240 boring.

00:20:50.180 Yeah.

00:20:50.440 And frankly

00:20:51.120 that suited us.

00:20:52.080 Right.

00:20:52.560 But there's

00:20:53.380 been a real

00:20:53.920 turn for the

00:20:54.940 worst and I

00:20:55.680 think it's

00:20:56.300 partly because

00:20:56.860 of the Prime

00:20:57.300 Minister Justin

00:20:58.040 Trudeau but

00:20:58.660 you can't put

00:20:59.160 it all on

00:20:59.760 him.

00:21:00.200 The rest of

00:21:00.840 the culture

00:21:01.340 has gone woke

00:21:02.360 so extremely

00:21:03.100 and there's

00:21:04.180 been a lot

00:21:04.920 of institutions

00:21:05.640 that have

00:21:06.280 broken.

00:21:07.000 I think a lot

00:21:07.540 of our

00:21:07.760 democratic checks

00:21:08.680 and balances

00:21:09.320 just didn't

00:21:10.520 work.

00:21:11.340 You at least

00:21:11.760 have some.

00:21:12.340 For example

00:21:12.700 your Supreme

00:21:13.300 Court stopped

00:21:14.300 some of the

00:21:14.800 crazier

00:21:15.520 lockdown rules.

00:21:18.280 You have a

00:21:18.820 diversity in the

00:21:19.660 media in this

00:21:20.820 country.

00:21:21.180 Most of them

00:21:21.620 are on the

00:21:22.060 left.

00:21:22.880 But I mean

00:21:23.200 that is so

00:21:24.000 sad that

00:21:24.920 somebody from

00:21:25.500 another country

00:21:26.160 says you've

00:21:26.920 got some

00:21:27.300 diversity.

00:21:28.480 Well I mean

00:21:29.440 you've got

00:21:30.120 your empire

00:21:31.780 you've got

00:21:32.320 Fox News

00:21:32.900 you've got

00:21:33.300 Breitbart

00:21:33.740 you can name

00:21:34.860 them.

00:21:35.300 Yes.

00:21:35.540 In Canada

00:21:36.140 when I say

00:21:37.740 99% of

00:21:39.440 journalists

00:21:40.020 get subsidized

00:21:41.360 by Justin

00:21:41.860 Trudeau

00:21:42.060 I'm not

00:21:42.540 exaggerating

00:21:43.340 there's

00:21:43.860 1500

00:21:44.980 media

00:21:45.940 companies

00:21:46.460 in Canada

00:21:47.120 that take

00:21:48.060 payments from

00:21:48.860 Justin Trudeau

00:21:49.620 about a

00:21:50.280 third

00:21:50.700 of all

00:21:51.760 the

00:21:51.980 income

00:21:52.420 from

00:21:52.740 any

00:21:52.960 given

00:21:53.160 newspaper

00:21:53.600 comes

00:21:54.020 from

00:21:54.320 the

00:21:54.960 federal

00:21:55.220 liberal

00:21:55.480 government.

00:21:55.660 So how

00:21:56.160 can that

00:21:56.680 possibly

00:21:57.240 be good?

00:21:58.280 I mean

00:21:58.460 if you're

00:21:59.420 you don't

00:22:00.000 bite the

00:22:00.560 hand that

00:22:01.080 feeds you.

00:22:01.920 Exactly.

00:22:02.580 I only

00:22:03.640 know of

00:22:04.160 three media

00:22:04.820 companies in

00:22:05.520 Canada

00:22:05.840 that do

00:22:06.220 not take

00:22:06.840 Trudeau's

00:22:07.260 payments

00:22:07.520 and we're

00:22:07.820 one of

00:22:08.140 them.

00:22:08.820 Now he's

00:22:09.540 doing another

00:22:10.060 thing.

00:22:10.420 He has a

00:22:11.300 bill moving

00:22:11.860 through

00:22:12.080 parliament

00:22:12.480 that would

00:22:13.300 commandeer

00:22:14.300 matching funds

00:22:15.640 from the

00:22:16.260 big tech

00:22:16.660 companies

00:22:17.080 Facebook,

00:22:17.680 Google,

00:22:18.000 YouTube,

00:22:18.320 etc.

00:22:19.120 And make

00:22:19.820 them pay 0.89

00:22:20.560 newsrooms

00:22:21.340 about a

00:22:22.940 third as

00:22:23.520 well.

00:22:23.780 So you're

00:22:24.080 going to

00:22:24.240 have a

00:22:24.620 situation

00:22:25.100 where

00:22:26.000 every

00:22:27.120 major

00:22:27.680 newspaper

00:22:28.320 in

00:22:28.680 Canada

00:22:29.120 has the

00:22:30.080 majority

00:22:30.920 of its

00:22:31.700 revenue

00:22:32.080 not from

00:22:32.560 subscribers

00:22:33.040 not from

00:22:33.440 advertisers

00:22:33.900 but from

00:22:34.660 big

00:22:34.900 government

00:22:35.200 and big

00:22:35.760 tech.

00:22:36.200 Well you're

00:22:36.880 not going

00:22:37.140 to

00:22:37.260 criticize

00:22:37.620 big

00:22:38.000 government

00:22:38.340 and big

00:22:38.720 tech.

00:22:39.180 Holy cow

00:22:39.640 can you

00:22:40.100 imagine

00:22:40.660 how

00:22:40.880 dangerous

00:22:41.280 that's

00:22:41.600 going to

00:22:41.840 be?

00:22:41.940 There's

00:22:42.020 something

00:22:42.260 worse.

00:22:42.720 Now we

00:22:43.020 would not

00:22:43.680 be eligible

00:22:44.280 for that.

00:22:44.740 You are

00:22:45.020 the

00:22:45.180 Glenn Beck

00:22:45.580 of

00:22:45.740 Canada.

00:22:46.720 No no

00:22:47.120 there's

00:22:47.440 something

00:22:47.780 worse.

00:22:48.760 When I

00:22:49.080 say the

00:22:49.460 word

00:22:49.760 license

00:22:51.000 you need

00:22:51.500 a license

00:22:52.060 to do

00:22:52.460 journalism

00:22:52.860 you're

00:22:53.160 probably

00:22:53.340 saying

00:22:53.540 come on

00:22:53.840 that can't

00:22:54.180 be true.

00:22:55.420 You know

00:22:55.640 in the

00:22:56.560 in the

00:22:57.240 Cold War

00:22:57.680 you needed

00:22:58.120 a license

00:22:58.660 to have

00:22:59.120 a typewriter

00:22:59.940 in Romania.

00:23:01.340 You had

00:23:01.620 to go to

00:23:02.020 get the

00:23:02.320 registry

00:23:02.700 a typewriter

00:23:03.340 they would

00:23:03.980 take a

00:23:04.320 typing

00:23:04.620 sample

00:23:05.020 you know

00:23:05.260 the old

00:23:05.520 typewriters

00:23:05.960 almost like

00:23:06.760 a fingerprint

00:23:07.260 right.

00:23:07.880 So in

00:23:08.140 case there

00:23:09.020 was some

00:23:09.360 Simon's

00:23:09.820 that they

00:23:10.300 could track

00:23:10.760 you needed

00:23:11.420 a license

00:23:11.960 for a

00:23:12.340 typewriter

00:23:12.840 in Canada

00:23:14.280 they have

00:23:14.860 something called

00:23:15.380 a QCJO

00:23:17.160 Qualified

00:23:17.960 Canadian

00:23:18.500 Journalism

00:23:19.160 Organization.

00:23:19.660 You have

00:23:20.420 to apply

00:23:20.900 to our

00:23:21.280 version of

00:23:21.660 the IRS

00:23:22.060 to get

00:23:22.800 this

00:23:23.000 designation.

00:23:24.180 Obviously

00:23:24.740 we were

00:23:25.120 denied.

00:23:26.620 But if

00:23:27.360 you have

00:23:27.660 this

00:23:27.800 QCJO

00:23:28.460 then you

00:23:29.540 get the

00:23:29.920 government

00:23:30.180 money

00:23:30.600 you get

00:23:31.400 access to

00:23:32.100 government

00:23:32.440 press conferences

00:23:33.220 were banned

00:23:33.880 you get

00:23:35.160 you'll get

00:23:35.760 this big

00:23:36.280 tech money

00:23:36.960 too

00:23:37.320 but here's

00:23:38.160 the part

00:23:38.480 that scares me

00:23:38.780 I actually

00:23:39.340 I'm not too

00:23:40.320 perturbed about

00:23:41.000 not getting

00:23:41.460 government

00:23:41.720 money

00:23:41.980 I don't

00:23:43.000 want that.

00:23:43.680 Yeah you

00:23:43.900 should have

00:23:44.300 access to

00:23:45.000 the press

00:23:45.640 conferences

00:23:46.060 but here's

00:23:47.460 what scares

00:23:48.460 me and

00:23:49.060 there is

00:23:49.380 only one

00:23:49.900 thing about

00:23:51.200 this that

00:23:51.620 actually scares

00:23:52.460 me in an

00:23:52.840 existential

00:23:53.220 way.

00:23:54.340 One of the

00:23:54.980 bills that

00:23:55.500 Justin Trudeau

00:23:56.140 was putting

00:23:56.540 through Parliament

00:23:57.180 in Canada

00:23:57.800 and by the

00:23:58.980 way Twitter

00:23:59.600 in a private

00:24:00.340 note said

00:24:00.960 this was

00:24:01.320 the only

00:24:02.240 other place

00:24:02.920 this reminds

00:24:03.600 them of

00:24:03.900 was North

00:24:04.260 Korea.

00:24:04.820 Twitter

00:24:05.140 in the

00:24:05.760 pre-Elon

00:24:06.380 Musk era 0.55

00:24:06.940 Twitter said

00:24:08.400 to the

00:24:08.940 government

00:24:09.120 of Canada

00:24:09.500 this is

00:24:09.900 North Korea

00:24:10.420 stuff.

00:24:11.260 That letter

00:24:11.780 was leaked.

00:24:13.320 They have

00:24:14.800 the power

00:24:15.420 in this

00:24:16.020 new bill

00:24:16.580 to tell

00:24:17.740 the tech

00:24:18.220 companies

00:24:18.700 to alter

00:24:19.880 the search

00:24:20.880 algorithm

00:24:21.540 they call

00:24:22.320 it the

00:24:22.600 discoverability

00:24:23.660 to promote

00:24:25.700 the QCJO

00:24:27.260 approved

00:24:28.240 news sources

00:24:29.080 and demote

00:24:30.580 the

00:24:31.520 independence.

00:24:33.480 Soon in

00:24:33.980 Canada they 0.64

00:24:34.520 will only

00:24:35.240 be two

00:24:35.860 kinds

00:24:36.400 of

00:24:36.620 media

00:24:37.000 the

00:24:37.800 government

00:24:38.360 media

00:24:38.860 and

00:24:39.720 the

00:24:39.900 banned

00:24:40.460 media.

00:24:41.300 See at

00:24:41.540 least right

00:24:42.000 now we

00:24:42.440 can duke

00:24:43.020 it out

00:24:43.280 on our

00:24:43.620 own.

00:24:44.100 Yeah we're

00:24:44.440 demonetized

00:24:45.120 yeah YouTube

00:24:45.760 already throttles

00:24:46.660 us but we're

00:24:47.360 still alive.

00:24:48.440 If this bill

00:24:49.500 passes the

00:24:51.020 government

00:24:51.840 will order

00:24:53.000 Google YouTube

00:24:53.680 and the other

00:24:54.280 broadcaster social

00:24:55.780 media platforms

00:24:56.780 to hide us.

00:24:58.720 So Justin

00:24:59.240 Trudeau will not

00:25:00.020 need to ban

00:25:01.580 Rebel News.

00:25:02.940 He will just

00:25:03.560 tell Google

00:25:04.600 and YouTube

00:25:05.080 make it so

00:25:06.100 no one can

00:25:06.900 find them.

00:25:08.000 Oh we didn't

00:25:08.480 ban them you

00:25:08.980 just can't

00:25:09.560 find them in

00:25:10.200 the first

00:25:10.740 thousand search

00:25:11.540 results.

00:25:12.020 That's in

00:25:12.540 the bill.

00:25:13.840 You are also

00:25:15.020 still arresting

00:25:16.960 people like

00:25:19.540 pastors.

00:25:21.560 For what

00:25:22.860 now?

00:25:23.440 I mean it was

00:25:24.420 for opening

00:25:25.040 for COVID

00:25:25.880 now what are

00:25:26.820 you arresting

00:25:27.400 them for?

00:25:27.700 You know what

00:25:28.120 your bill of

00:25:29.800 rights our

00:25:30.440 charter of

00:25:31.080 rights we have

00:25:31.520 a section in

00:25:32.100 our charter

00:25:32.500 of rights

00:25:32.760 called

00:25:33.000 fundamental

00:25:33.700 freedoms.

00:25:34.260 They're my

00:25:34.540 favorite.

00:25:35.280 Freedom of

00:25:35.920 thought,

00:25:36.340 belief,

00:25:36.820 religion,

00:25:37.360 freedom of

00:25:37.780 the press.

00:25:38.540 Every one

00:25:39.220 of those is

00:25:39.640 under attack.

00:25:40.320 The core

00:25:40.860 freedoms.

00:25:42.000 We just

00:25:42.640 talked about

00:25:43.100 what you

00:25:43.420 would call

00:25:43.760 first amendment.

00:25:44.600 Well let me

00:25:44.880 tell you another

00:25:45.260 first amendment

00:25:45.820 issue.

00:25:46.820 Three years

00:25:47.380 ago the

00:25:47.820 pandemic

00:25:48.280 starts and

00:25:48.980 there's rules

00:25:50.100 about six

00:25:50.880 feet of

00:25:51.340 separation and

00:25:52.640 no gatherings.

00:25:53.720 There's a

00:25:54.060 Christian pastor

00:25:54.820 in downtown

00:25:55.420 Calgary.

00:25:56.040 It's cold out,

00:25:56.720 it's snowing

00:25:57.260 because it's

00:25:57.600 Canada and

00:25:58.540 he's feeding

00:25:59.360 the homeless

00:26:00.680 on the

00:26:01.400 street and

00:26:03.000 he gets

00:26:03.440 arrested for

00:26:04.260 that and

00:26:04.780 charged for

00:26:05.500 having an

00:26:06.060 illegal gathering.

00:26:07.900 He was

00:26:08.260 actually not

00:26:08.640 the only one.

00:26:09.200 Pastor Arthur

00:26:09.700 Pawlowski was

00:26:10.380 charged with

00:26:10.740 the same

00:26:11.060 thing.

00:26:12.060 Arthur

00:26:12.260 Pawlowski,

00:26:13.120 50 days in

00:26:14.460 jail and

00:26:15.580 Pastor Derek

00:26:17.600 Reimer was

00:26:18.300 charged with

00:26:18.900 the same

00:26:19.380 thing, an

00:26:20.640 illegal gathering.

00:26:21.960 He said it's

00:26:22.440 not a gathering,

00:26:23.360 I'm feeding

00:26:24.060 them.

00:26:24.620 This is not a

00:26:25.200 party, we're not

00:26:25.900 having a get

00:26:26.460 together, I'm

00:26:27.100 feeding the

00:26:28.200 hungry because

00:26:28.780 the city

00:26:29.260 isn't.

00:26:29.880 How long

00:26:30.420 was he in

00:26:32.080 jail for

00:26:32.440 that?

00:26:32.900 Arthur

00:26:33.120 Pawlowski was

00:26:33.800 50 days, I

00:26:34.580 think Derek

00:26:35.140 Reimer avoided

00:26:35.980 jail but he

00:26:36.640 was prosecuted.

00:26:37.400 Now we

00:26:37.680 crowdfunded his

00:26:38.720 legal offense but

00:26:40.620 he's in jail

00:26:41.240 today Glenn,

00:26:42.480 today as we

00:26:43.400 sit here, in

00:26:44.160 fact he has a

00:26:44.920 bail hearing at

00:26:46.000 around 10 a.m.

00:26:46.840 mountain time so

00:26:47.540 that's about an

00:26:48.100 hour from now and

00:26:49.740 here's what he's in

00:26:50.380 jail for.

00:26:50.740 So he was on

00:26:51.220 the radar of the

00:26:52.420 city police, they

00:26:53.120 did not like him

00:26:54.040 for funding.

00:26:54.800 How did you

00:26:55.480 afford that lawyer? 0.99

00:26:56.460 How did you

00:26:56.940 fight back?

00:26:57.460 You're supposed

00:26:57.820 to be a poor 0.80

00:26:58.400 pastor.

00:26:59.220 We crowdfunded

00:27:00.120 it for him, that's

00:27:00.900 how, they hate him

00:27:01.920 for that.

00:27:03.080 So last week there

00:27:04.800 was a drag queen 0.91

00:27:06.180 story hour at a

00:27:07.600 public library in

00:27:08.660 the city and

00:27:09.860 Pastor Derek

00:27:10.600 Reimer went there

00:27:11.480 to object.

00:27:12.320 He objected

00:27:13.000 peacefully, he was

00:27:13.540 noisy, I'll grant

00:27:14.400 you that, but he

00:27:15.580 objected peacefully.

00:27:17.040 Three guys in that

00:27:18.640 story hour picked

00:27:20.060 him up and

00:27:20.800 physically threw

00:27:21.760 him out of the

00:27:22.260 public library.

00:27:23.100 You could see the

00:27:23.860 video of him

00:27:24.340 hitting the floor.

00:27:25.020 They were not

00:27:26.780 charged with

00:27:27.300 assault and

00:27:28.740 actually Pastor

00:27:29.480 Reimer was not

00:27:30.140 charged with

00:27:30.560 anything either.

00:27:32.000 But then the

00:27:32.740 city mayor goes

00:27:33.540 on Twitter and

00:27:34.220 said, I have, and

00:27:35.080 you can see this,

00:27:35.760 she says this,

00:27:36.840 normally you don't

00:27:37.400 say this out loud,

00:27:38.160 she says, I have

00:27:39.360 heard the reasons,

00:27:40.760 in quotes, why the

00:27:42.360 police and prosecutors

00:27:43.300 will not move.

00:27:44.280 I do not accept

00:27:45.220 them.

00:27:45.560 I demand more.

00:27:46.740 We must stop this

00:27:47.700 vitriol and lies.

00:27:49.660 Apparently those

00:27:50.420 are crimes now.

00:27:52.160 And so indeed

00:27:52.760 they go to his

00:27:53.440 house and they

00:27:54.180 arrest him.

00:27:56.000 They said there's

00:27:56.660 no legal ground.

00:27:57.740 Charged with

00:27:57.960 what?

00:27:59.000 Charged with

00:27:59.660 mischief, with

00:28:01.000 disturbing the

00:28:02.020 peace, and I'm

00:28:03.200 told that he is

00:28:04.400 being charged with

00:28:05.060 hate crimes.

00:28:06.060 Like I say, there

00:28:06.720 is a hearing in

00:28:07.880 one hour's time.

00:28:09.540 He spent the

00:28:10.480 weekend in prison.

00:28:13.160 What's so crazy is

00:28:14.420 the mayor who so

00:28:16.080 obviously and

00:28:17.200 brazenly trumped

00:28:18.960 demanded the police

00:28:20.120 arrest him.

00:28:21.320 She says that you

00:28:22.580 should be arrestable

00:28:23.540 for lying, for

00:28:25.500 being vitriolic.

00:28:26.900 Well, those are

00:28:27.220 matters of opinion.

00:28:28.000 Those are not

00:28:28.380 crimes.

00:28:29.420 And for being

00:28:30.100 hateful, I think

00:28:30.960 the mayor's hateful.

00:28:31.820 Those are not

00:28:32.360 crimes.

00:28:33.660 Well, they're new

00:28:34.200 crimes, aren't they?

00:28:34.900 They're thought

00:28:35.300 crimes.

00:28:35.740 And the police

00:28:36.300 resisted, the

00:28:36.980 prosecution resisted,

00:28:38.260 the mayor gave him

00:28:39.040 a tongue-lashing on

00:28:39.840 Twitter, and they

00:28:40.460 put this man in

00:28:41.380 prison.

00:28:42.280 And have you heard

00:28:43.260 of that in the

00:28:43.800 New York Times?

00:28:44.420 I put it to you

00:28:45.040 that if it was a

00:28:46.120 Muslim imam, if it 0.96

00:28:48.440 was a Jewish

00:28:48.960 rabbi.

00:28:49.600 Yes.

00:28:50.160 And here's what

00:28:51.100 drives me nuts, Glenn.

00:28:52.020 I'm not Christian 0.99

00:28:52.580 myself, I'm a Jew, but

00:28:53.700 I have a sensitivity to

00:28:55.660 religious issues because

00:28:56.560 the Jews have had a

00:28:57.340 troubled past.

00:28:59.020 And so I see these

00:28:59.820 Christians arrested, and 0.96

00:29:01.740 I think, where are the

00:29:03.080 big Christian voices?

00:29:04.720 Where's the TV pastors?

00:29:07.180 Where's the conference of

00:29:08.720 the bishops?

00:29:09.860 The silence from the

00:29:11.720 mainstream Christians.

00:29:12.640 In fact, during the

00:29:14.280 lockdowns, when these

00:29:15.620 pastors were in jail for

00:29:16.760 opening their churches,

00:29:18.240 you saw the odd press

00:29:19.580 release from the major

00:29:20.620 churches condemning the

00:29:22.900 pastors for not

00:29:24.040 complying, for not

00:29:25.300 rendering unto Caesar.

00:29:27.400 And I tell you that

00:29:29.260 Canada today is not the

00:29:30.780 Canada you grew up 0.78

00:29:31.940 knowing.

00:29:32.300 It's not this friendly

00:29:33.540 place of Anne of Green

00:29:34.640 Gables and maple syrup

00:29:35.840 and a boot the hoose. 0.97

00:29:37.240 It's not that.

00:29:38.160 That's all there.

00:29:39.120 But it's got an edge to

00:29:40.880 it.

00:29:41.500 I want to throw one more

00:29:42.560 thing at you.

00:29:43.920 You might remember that

00:29:44.700 almost exactly a year

00:29:45.720 ago, a bunch of

00:29:46.900 Canadians said, we're

00:29:47.660 done with this.

00:29:48.840 They were working class

00:29:50.000 people.

00:29:50.480 They would, Orwell would

00:29:51.480 call them the proles.

00:29:52.960 You know, his book,

00:29:53.700 1984, he said, if

00:29:55.040 there's any hope, it

00:29:55.760 lies with the proles.

00:29:56.900 Working class guys, often 1.00

00:29:59.360 new Canadians, minority

00:30:00.580 people, truckers.

00:30:02.100 Everyone loves a

00:30:02.940 trucker.

00:30:03.460 You can trust a

00:30:04.280 trucker.

00:30:05.200 You admire a trucker.

00:30:06.860 They work hard.

00:30:08.600 They do work that we

00:30:09.380 wouldn't want to do.

00:30:10.120 They're lonely.

00:30:11.040 And when the truckers

00:30:11.980 have had it, you know

00:30:12.720 something's wrong.

00:30:13.380 So the truckers have

00:30:14.080 this mighty convoy and

00:30:14.980 they go to Ottawa.

00:30:15.680 No one's organizing it.

00:30:16.920 It's almost spontaneous.

00:30:17.760 They tried to crowd

00:30:18.440 fund it.

00:30:18.780 The money was seized by

00:30:19.580 the government.

00:30:20.160 They go to Ottawa and

00:30:21.200 what do they do?

00:30:21.820 Do they riot?

00:30:23.200 They honk their horns.

00:30:24.440 They honk their horns.

00:30:25.800 Right.

00:30:26.440 And local residents go to

00:30:28.060 court and there's an

00:30:28.960 injunction to stop the

00:30:30.120 horn honking.

00:30:30.660 They stopped the horn

00:30:31.440 honking. 0.56

00:30:32.760 They had hot tub parties.

00:30:33.940 They had bouncy castles.

00:30:35.140 I went down there.

00:30:36.020 It was bloody cold.

00:30:37.160 But there was a joy.

00:30:38.160 It was a festival feeling.

00:30:39.660 The people were

00:30:40.060 spontaneously singing the

00:30:41.220 anthem and they were

00:30:42.440 embarrassing Trudeau.

00:30:45.400 And so he deployed for

00:30:47.460 the first time in Canadian

00:30:48.420 history the Emergencies

00:30:49.580 Act, a former martial law

00:30:50.700 that was not even invoked

00:30:51.680 during 9-11.

00:30:53.080 He deployed the riot

00:30:54.260 horses to stomp peaceful

00:30:56.280 protesters.

00:30:57.060 Our reporter, Alexa

00:30:58.240 Lavoie, was shot in the

00:31:00.500 leg by a Trudeau cop with a

00:31:02.820 riot gun for reporting.

00:31:04.940 And we've seen the

00:31:05.720 disclosure.

00:31:06.040 They were suing them.

00:31:06.780 They knew who she was.

00:31:08.320 The only person shot was our

00:31:10.520 reporter.

00:31:11.000 That's not a coincidence. 0.99

00:31:11.980 I'm not that stupid. 0.98

00:31:13.780 They seized from 200 0.98

00:31:16.180 protesters without legal

00:31:18.540 process.

00:31:19.100 They seized bank accounts from

00:31:20.500 families without legal 0.63

00:31:21.740 process.

00:31:23.740 They had martial law because

00:31:26.020 Trudeau was embarrassed.

00:31:27.820 But it gets worse.

00:31:30.580 A year later, just a few

00:31:31.880 weeks ago, there was a

00:31:33.120 conclusion of a judicial

00:31:34.680 inquiry.

00:31:35.400 Was this justified?

00:31:37.400 I saw Trudeau stand up and

00:31:39.640 say it was absolutely

00:31:40.520 justified.

00:31:41.740 I mean, I wish I hadn't done

00:31:42.920 that necessarily with the

00:31:44.100 truckers, but it was

00:31:45.720 justified.

00:31:46.300 He was cleared.

00:31:47.700 Trudeau never explains.

00:31:49.080 He never apologizes.

00:31:50.080 He never blinks.

00:31:50.880 And the judge gave him a

00:31:53.280 rubber stamp.

00:31:54.140 Yeah, the judge quarreled a

00:31:55.340 bit.

00:31:55.520 The judge said, well, you got

00:31:56.520 this wrong and you got that

00:31:57.540 wrong, but the judge

00:31:59.020 approved of it.

00:32:02.580 And do you doubt that

00:32:04.520 Justin Trudeau has learned

00:32:06.000 the lesson?

00:32:06.780 Oh, yeah.

00:32:07.460 That he can do whatever he

00:32:08.900 bloody well pleases.

00:32:10.120 The same thing with the

00:32:10.940 United States government.

00:32:12.520 We are not punishing

00:32:14.460 people.

00:32:14.960 Our courts are not

00:32:16.280 standing up.

00:32:17.260 Our Supreme Court, thank

00:32:18.200 God, is.

00:32:18.760 And some of our courts are.

00:32:20.440 But that's only because of

00:32:23.480 Donald Trump.

00:32:24.180 We hadn't had Donald

00:32:25.060 Trump.

00:32:25.380 We would have, we'd be

00:32:27.020 right down where you are.

00:32:28.700 Na, na, na, na.
