00:00:06.100 Well, it's Monday. Welcome to the podcast.
00:00:08.540 We have a good, good show for you today.
00:00:11.740 It kind of took a left turn there
00:00:13.820 about halfway through, where it was like,
00:00:16.400 I think this is a horror movie.
00:00:18.840 Yeah. It was like, what was that movie with George Clooney?
00:00:21.940 The vampire one? Remember that?
00:00:23.620 Dawn to Dusk?
00:00:25.160 I missed the George Clooney.
00:00:27.320 It started off like it was a normal buddy movie,
00:00:29.080 and then it just turned into this real vampire horror thing,
00:00:32.040 like halfway through.
00:00:33.340 It was really twisted.
00:00:34.860 Yeah.
00:00:35.120 It's kind of how today's show went.
00:00:36.200 Yeah.
00:00:36.760 In the second hour of today's full broadcast,
00:00:40.160 we had Robert Epstein on.
00:00:41.880 He's a guy who was the head psychiatrist
00:00:46.060 at Psychology or Psychiatry Today,
00:00:49.640 and from Harvard, has all kinds.
00:00:53.260 I mean, a butt list of titles behind his name.
00:00:57.340 He also voted for Hillary Clinton,
00:01:00.320 and in the 2016 election,
00:01:02.860 he did a study of 2,000 Americans
00:01:06.300 who just monitored their Google searches.
00:01:09.560 When it came to politics,
00:01:11.320 they found that Google was shifting their searches
00:01:17.080 and stacking them in favor of Hillary Clinton.
00:01:20.520 The first 10 were pro-Hillary Clinton for everybody,
00:01:26.100 no matter who you were voting for.
00:01:27.780 It's not the way it's supposed to work.
00:01:29.720 He has some serious warnings about Google
00:01:33.200 that you have to hear.
00:01:34.800 We talked about that,
00:01:35.700 what we've learned from the Kavanaugh thing as well.
00:01:38.780 You know,
00:01:39.040 what is the standard we're supposed to have here?
00:01:41.820 Because it seems like they're now saying
00:01:43.800 that they want to get more...
00:01:46.520 Ruthless.
00:01:47.160 Ruthless.
00:01:48.360 Ruthless.
00:01:48.780 With the way that they...
00:01:49.820 That's their lesson they've learned here.
00:01:51.200 Yeah.
00:01:51.440 They have to become more ruthless.
00:01:53.340 I don't know where you go from here.
00:01:54.320 And we try to explore that ground,
00:01:55.880 and I don't know...
00:01:56.780 I honestly don't know.
00:01:57.060 Well, I got a couple of ideas from Genghis Khan,
00:01:59.240 and we'll get into that.
00:02:00.800 Also, don't forget,
00:02:01.920 we are coming to a city near you.
00:02:03.800 It's going to be a lot of fun.
00:02:05.140 I'm going to do some political strategizing for the left.
00:02:08.360 I've got a few...
00:02:09.560 I've got a few governmental programs
00:02:11.520 that they perhaps haven't thought of
00:02:13.540 that, you know,
00:02:15.700 hey, if you want to spend money,
00:02:18.280 I'll show you how to spend money.
00:02:20.760 Also, some slogans,
00:02:22.220 and we're going to have a lot of laughs,
00:02:24.080 and also go through some things
00:02:26.620 on how to win this nightmarish war.
00:02:30.120 And it's not about getting more ruthless.
00:02:32.440 It is about standing
00:02:34.240 and knowing exactly what you're standing for.
00:02:37.880 Okay.
00:02:38.440 Today's podcast,
00:02:39.780 you can find, by the way,
00:02:40.840 the tickets at glennbeck.com slash tour.
00:02:43.260 Here's the podcast for today.
00:02:47.360 You're listening to
00:02:48.420 The Best of the Glenn Beck Program.
00:02:53.580 It's Monday, October 8th.
00:02:56.160 Hello, America.
00:02:57.200 Time to ask yourself a question.
00:02:58.980 Are we a country with a rule of law,
00:03:01.000 or do we just love this mob rule thing?
00:03:05.120 Do we believe in the presumption of innocence,
00:03:07.740 or guilty as accused?
00:03:12.060 That is the precipice
00:03:13.400 we appear to be standing on right now.
00:03:16.000 Anybody who said that,
00:03:17.440 you know,
00:03:18.380 oh, I will never go over the cliff.
00:03:20.340 We're over the cliff.
00:03:21.560 This is it.
00:03:22.380 It's the moment to decide.
00:03:24.760 Yes, Judge Kavanaugh
00:03:26.400 was ultimately confirmed
00:03:27.580 and sworn into the Supreme Court.
00:03:30.420 But if you think things
00:03:31.680 are going to get better,
00:03:32.720 I think you have
00:03:35.080 an extremely rude awakening coming.
00:03:38.420 The left successfully weaponized
00:03:40.280 the mob to storm the offices
00:03:42.280 of the Senate in the thousands.
00:03:45.260 There were over 300 arrests made.
00:03:48.260 They chased senators into elevators.
00:03:50.840 They screamed at them.
00:03:51.780 They released private information
00:03:53.260 on the Internet
00:03:53.880 so more of the mob
00:03:55.440 could follow them to their homes
00:03:57.560 and call their phones.
00:03:59.560 They yelled.
00:04:00.360 They jeered at Ted Cruz
00:04:02.080 and his wife
00:04:03.440 while on a date
00:04:04.380 at a restaurant.
00:04:05.580 They even sent
00:04:06.680 Cory Gardner's wife
00:04:08.200 a text message
00:04:10.120 depicting a decapitation.
00:04:13.280 They nearly ruined
00:04:14.760 Kavanaugh and his family's life.
00:04:17.520 They wanted to destroy him.
00:04:20.620 Don't believe me?
00:04:22.540 How about this
00:04:23.460 from the writer
00:04:24.160 of the Colbert Show?
00:04:28.880 Quote,
00:04:29.360 whatever happens,
00:04:31.040 I'm just glad
00:04:32.200 we ruined
00:04:33.240 Brett Kavanaugh's life.
00:04:38.400 This is all based on what?
00:04:41.740 An allegation
00:04:43.080 that did not have evidence.
00:04:47.080 Now,
00:04:47.960 you can believe her.
00:04:50.380 Many people do.
00:04:52.600 Many people believe him.
00:04:54.900 This is what
00:04:55.700 we know
00:04:56.620 as a
00:04:57.240 he said,
00:04:58.280 she said.
00:04:59.360 case.
00:05:01.080 We choose
00:05:02.460 as Americans
00:05:03.380 not to involve
00:05:05.140 ourselves
00:05:05.820 in he said,
00:05:07.160 she said cases
00:05:08.520 because
00:05:09.220 we're not God.
00:05:14.500 Ask every single one
00:05:16.520 of these
00:05:17.040 people in private.
00:05:18.940 There is no way
00:05:19.920 they would be doing this
00:05:21.060 if they
00:05:22.240 or someone
00:05:23.260 in their family
00:05:24.200 or,
00:05:25.200 I hate to say it,
00:05:26.240 but somebody
00:05:27.140 on their side
00:05:28.060 of the aisle
00:05:28.680 was being accused.
00:05:30.020 None of them.
00:05:32.020 But this is where
00:05:33.320 we're at.
00:05:34.480 We're at the beginning
00:05:35.560 of the race.
00:05:37.400 Unfortunately,
00:05:38.460 not the end.
00:05:40.140 Today,
00:05:41.100 it's accusations
00:05:42.260 of sexual assault.
00:05:44.120 Tomorrow,
00:05:44.760 it will be something
00:05:45.760 else.
00:05:46.940 Mark my words,
00:05:48.300 we are going
00:05:49.180 to see
00:05:49.900 it all.
00:05:50.920 It's going
00:05:52.280 to get more
00:05:52.740 brutal
00:05:53.140 and more
00:05:53.820 vicious.
00:05:54.240 And the further
00:05:55.260 it goes,
00:05:56.200 the worse
00:05:56.940 it will get.
00:05:58.380 Politico wrote
00:05:59.060 an article yesterday
00:06:00.080 called,
00:06:00.640 quote,
00:06:01.360 Democrats fear
00:06:02.720 they're the wet
00:06:04.160 rag party.
00:06:06.080 Kavanaugh's victory
00:06:07.060 leaves many
00:06:08.120 on the left
00:06:08.900 saying it's time
00:06:10.040 to get mad
00:06:11.160 and even
00:06:12.780 end quote
00:06:13.940 Democrats.
00:06:16.980 And I'm not
00:06:17.920 talking about
00:06:18.480 the party.
00:06:19.100 I'm not talking
00:06:19.720 about the people
00:06:20.280 in Washington.
00:06:20.820 I'm not talking
00:06:21.680 about the people
00:06:23.060 who are in
00:06:24.300 their little
00:06:26.720 501c3 groups.
00:06:31.720 I'm asking
00:06:32.820 regular Democrats.
00:06:34.620 I'm asking
00:06:35.440 all Americans.
00:06:37.100 Is this
00:06:40.440 the kind
00:06:41.740 of country
00:06:42.340 you want?
00:06:44.680 The article
00:06:45.780 continues,
00:06:46.860 quote,
00:06:47.320 after failing
00:06:48.160 to stop
00:06:48.740 Kavanaugh's
00:06:49.320 confirmation,
00:06:50.420 Democrats
00:06:50.800 wonder if
00:06:51.600 it's time
00:06:52.160 to be
00:06:52.620 more
00:06:53.220 ruthless
00:06:53.920 end quote.
00:06:56.380 More
00:06:57.140 ruthless?
00:06:58.620 Do I dare
00:06:59.740 ask how
00:07:00.820 we could
00:07:01.260 become
00:07:01.660 more
00:07:02.120 ruthless
00:07:02.680 than what
00:07:03.580 we've seen
00:07:04.280 in the past
00:07:04.920 month?
00:07:05.340 Democrats
00:07:07.540 have already
00:07:08.100 accused a
00:07:08.740 man of
00:07:09.280 gang
00:07:10.040 rape
00:07:10.640 and
00:07:11.280 serial
00:07:12.020 sexual
00:07:12.640 assault.
00:07:13.900 They have
00:07:14.680 said that
00:07:15.040 he's a
00:07:15.560 blackout
00:07:16.140 drunk.
00:07:17.420 This
00:07:17.840 Politico
00:07:18.420 article
00:07:18.840 is just
00:07:20.880 one
00:07:21.680 of a
00:07:22.460 blitzkrieg
00:07:23.200 of other
00:07:23.700 similar
00:07:24.200 articles
00:07:24.720 pushed out
00:07:25.540 over the
00:07:25.960 weekend.
00:07:26.900 They sound
00:07:27.500 exactly like
00:07:28.980 the mob
00:07:29.740 that has
00:07:30.420 been harassing
00:07:31.380 and doxing
00:07:32.400 senators
00:07:32.980 last week.
00:07:33.960 They're
00:07:34.960 echoing
00:07:35.480 the mob
00:07:35.880 charges
00:07:36.320 that
00:07:36.560 Republicans
00:07:37.020 somehow
00:07:37.560 pulled off
00:07:38.520 this giant
00:07:39.280 scam.
00:07:41.000 Ultimately,
00:07:41.860 they're
00:07:42.380 helping
00:07:42.780 pave the
00:07:43.560 way
00:07:44.000 for
00:07:44.500 mob
00:07:45.060 rule.
00:07:46.700 The man
00:07:47.780 was accused
00:07:48.400 of rape
00:07:48.920 and sexual
00:07:49.460 assault.
00:07:50.900 There was
00:07:51.920 nothing
00:07:52.160 credible
00:07:52.620 to back
00:07:53.440 up that
00:07:53.820 claim.
00:07:55.240 So,
00:07:56.340 what are
00:07:57.300 we to
00:07:57.620 do?
00:07:57.940 they
00:07:59.880 expect a
00:08:00.760 system
00:08:01.080 where
00:08:01.300 Pilate
00:08:01.760 washes
00:08:02.160 his
00:08:02.460 hands
00:08:02.900 and
00:08:03.500 lays
00:08:03.780 the
00:08:04.000 fate
00:08:04.360 of
00:08:04.700 life
00:08:05.060 or
00:08:05.280 death
00:08:05.600 in
00:08:05.760 the
00:08:05.900 hands
00:08:06.220 of
00:08:06.380 the
00:08:06.520 bloodthirsty
00:08:07.220 crowd.
00:08:08.640 We're
00:08:09.400 in for
00:08:09.780 a
00:08:09.960 populist
00:08:10.540 battle.
00:08:11.900 The
00:08:12.340 radical
00:08:12.720 left
00:08:13.280 versus
00:08:13.960 whatever
00:08:14.620 remains
00:08:15.320 of the
00:08:15.700 sane
00:08:16.040 in both
00:08:16.520 the
00:08:16.680 Democrat
00:08:17.080 and
00:08:17.660 GOP
00:08:18.240 parties.
00:08:19.800 This
00:08:20.520 is only
00:08:20.920 the
00:08:21.120 beginning.
00:08:22.820 America,
00:08:24.360 please,
00:08:25.120 hold
00:08:26.760 your
00:08:27.380 place.
00:08:29.720 Remember
00:08:30.260 what your
00:08:30.920 mothers
00:08:31.360 and your
00:08:32.060 fathers
00:08:32.600 taught you,
00:08:34.020 the
00:08:34.420 difference
00:08:35.000 between
00:08:35.540 right
00:08:36.220 and
00:08:36.760 wrong.
00:08:38.300 We are
00:08:39.360 not a
00:08:40.120 nation
00:08:40.580 of
00:08:41.640 chaos.
00:08:42.680 We are
00:08:42.960 not a
00:08:43.720 nation
00:08:44.100 of
00:08:44.760 mob
00:08:45.200 rule.
00:08:46.360 We are
00:08:46.980 not a
00:08:47.840 nation
00:08:48.240 of
00:08:48.940 burning
00:08:49.420 things
00:08:49.900 down
00:08:50.400 and
00:08:51.160 beating
00:08:51.600 people
00:08:52.080 in the
00:08:52.460 streets.
00:08:53.380 That's
00:08:54.200 not
00:08:54.800 who
00:08:55.600 we've
00:08:55.980 ever
00:08:56.400 been.
00:08:59.840 But
00:09:00.640 every
00:09:00.880 generation
00:09:01.460 has to
00:09:02.060 answer
00:09:02.380 that
00:09:02.860 for
00:09:03.600 themselves.
00:09:05.900 Is
00:09:06.700 this
00:09:07.180 who
00:09:07.780 you
00:09:08.000 want
00:09:08.520 to
00:09:08.900 be?
00:09:14.680 It's
00:09:15.480 Monday,
00:09:16.060 October
00:09:16.380 8th.
00:09:17.220 You're
00:09:17.920 listening to
00:09:18.480 the
00:09:18.600 Glenn Beck
00:09:18.960 program.
00:09:20.160 Stu,
00:09:20.360 are you
00:09:20.580 building
00:09:20.960 guillotines
00:09:21.700 yet?
00:09:22.420 I'm
00:09:22.920 working on
00:09:23.540 it.
00:09:23.660 Oh man,
00:09:24.280 it would
00:09:24.420 be great
00:09:25.020 if we
00:09:25.280 just had
00:09:25.600 some
00:09:25.780 guillotines.
00:09:26.680 You know,
00:09:26.880 our carpentry
00:09:27.520 skills have
00:09:28.000 really gone
00:09:28.460 downhill.
00:09:28.980 They really
00:09:29.380 have.
00:09:29.820 If people
00:09:30.860 would have
00:09:31.160 listened to
00:09:31.980 Mike Rowe
00:09:32.740 a little
00:09:33.000 more before
00:09:33.520 they clubbed
00:09:34.420 him to
00:09:34.660 death in
00:09:35.020 the streets,
00:09:35.600 we'd be
00:09:36.200 able to
00:09:36.480 have nicely
00:09:37.640 built
00:09:38.060 guillotines.
00:09:39.180 I'm
00:09:39.280 fascinated at
00:09:39.900 the path
00:09:40.500 to being
00:09:41.280 more
00:09:41.680 ruthless
00:09:42.260 than
00:09:43.120 accusations
00:09:43.840 of
00:09:44.220 gang
00:09:44.500 rape.
00:09:44.800 Do we
00:09:45.000 go to
00:09:45.400 accusations
00:09:45.840 of
00:09:46.100 genocide?
00:09:47.040 Do
00:09:47.220 we say
00:09:47.660 the next
00:09:48.240 possible
00:09:48.920 Supreme
00:09:49.280 Court
00:09:49.480 justice
00:09:49.780 was
00:09:50.100 responsible
00:09:50.800 for the
00:09:51.360 Hutu
00:09:51.780 Tutsi
00:09:52.300 slaughter
00:09:52.760 in Rwanda?
00:09:54.500 Is that
00:09:54.780 the direction
00:09:55.280 that we
00:09:55.560 go?
00:09:55.920 No, I
00:09:56.060 just think
00:09:56.460 we, just
00:09:57.060 based on
00:09:57.800 this
00:09:58.040 allegation,
00:09:58.720 I just
00:09:59.000 think we
00:09:59.460 have our
00:10:00.360 own
00:10:00.740 Hutu
00:10:01.380 Tutsi
00:10:01.860 slaughter.
00:10:02.260 And then
00:10:04.040 we blame
00:10:04.480 the next
00:10:04.900 Supreme
00:10:05.120 Court
00:10:05.240 justice
00:10:05.460 for it?
00:10:06.260 I don't
00:10:06.960 know.
00:10:07.900 This is
00:10:08.420 incredible
00:10:09.340 to see
00:10:10.140 what has
00:10:10.540 happened
00:10:10.840 here.
00:10:11.240 You really
00:10:13.260 understand
00:10:13.940 the concept
00:10:14.700 of projection.
00:10:16.300 For years
00:10:17.000 and years
00:10:17.300 and years
00:10:17.560 we were
00:10:17.840 told by
00:10:18.560 the media
00:10:19.080 how evil
00:10:20.000 the Tea
00:10:20.340 Party
00:10:20.540 was and
00:10:20.960 how they
00:10:21.300 wanted to
00:10:21.680 harass
00:10:22.260 people they
00:10:23.100 didn't agree
00:10:23.560 with in
00:10:23.840 the streets.
00:10:25.140 And this
00:10:25.600 shows how
00:10:26.140 crazy they
00:10:26.840 are.
00:10:27.320 They're
00:10:27.440 going to
00:10:27.580 get
00:10:27.700 violent.
00:10:28.940 They're
00:10:29.120 going to
00:10:29.240 make
00:10:29.400 threats.
00:10:30.880 They're
00:10:31.320 unhinged.
00:10:33.880 All of
00:10:34.540 these things
00:10:35.160 we now
00:10:36.000 see the
00:10:36.560 second the
00:10:37.060 left has
00:10:37.520 any challenge
00:10:38.260 to its
00:10:38.560 political
00:10:38.860 power.
00:10:39.680 They're
00:10:40.200 all doing
00:10:40.640 all of
00:10:41.060 those things
00:10:41.480 and they're
00:10:42.000 really doing
00:10:42.500 them.
00:10:43.100 They're not
00:10:43.380 just fake
00:10:44.220 accusations
00:10:44.840 on CNN.
00:10:46.840 Everything to
00:10:48.100 the point of
00:10:48.540 this is a
00:10:49.500 little bit
00:10:49.780 off topic
00:10:50.260 but remember
00:10:52.480 the good
00:10:54.060 old days
00:10:54.860 when Glenn
00:10:55.940 Beck was in
00:10:56.600 the doom
00:10:57.100 room and
00:10:58.400 Glenn Beck
00:10:59.440 was this
00:10:59.840 apocalyptic
00:11:00.760 know-nothing
00:11:01.560 that just
00:11:02.160 came after
00:11:02.740 you with
00:11:03.080 all these
00:11:03.400 predictions
00:11:04.680 of doom
00:11:05.500 and all
00:11:06.180 the terrible
00:11:06.760 things that
00:11:07.160 were going
00:11:07.400 to happen
00:11:07.720 to scare
00:11:08.540 you into
00:11:09.060 watching for
00:11:09.820 longer.
00:11:10.480 Remember
00:11:10.760 that?
00:11:11.580 When you
00:11:12.200 remember that
00:11:12.840 take a look
00:11:13.600 at the
00:11:13.860 New York
00:11:14.140 Times who
00:11:15.240 is talking
00:11:15.840 about global
00:11:16.620 warming
00:11:17.060 today as
00:11:18.320 if we are
00:11:19.160 all dead
00:11:20.000 tomorrow.
00:11:20.700 They
00:11:20.800 commissioned
00:11:21.460 a photo
00:11:22.760 shoot with
00:11:23.700 a crying
00:11:24.760 little boy
00:11:25.620 kneeling next
00:11:26.880 to the corpse
00:11:27.840 of some
00:11:28.780 and skeleton
00:11:29.700 of some
00:11:30.780 endangered
00:11:31.620 animal that
00:11:32.500 is now
00:11:32.940 no longer
00:11:33.840 able to
00:11:34.460 survive.
00:11:35.900 The
00:11:36.400 apocalyptic
00:11:37.420 nature of
00:11:38.360 their coverage
00:11:39.000 of a
00:11:39.480 0.9
00:11:40.240 degree Celsius
00:11:41.040 temperature
00:11:41.660 rise over
00:11:42.360 100 years
00:11:43.360 outshines
00:11:45.180 anything you
00:11:45.860 ever said
00:11:46.500 about ISIS.
00:11:48.020 Well I
00:11:48.660 did like the
00:11:49.800 fact that we've
00:11:50.480 reset the clock.
00:11:51.420 We now have
00:11:51.860 12 years.
00:11:53.060 We now have
00:11:53.540 12 years.
00:11:54.160 Remember when we
00:11:54.980 had the big
00:11:55.440 countdown here?
00:11:56.280 For years
00:11:57.420 they had
00:11:57.960 said we
00:11:58.420 have until
00:11:58.960 this date.
00:12:00.200 Okay well
00:12:01.060 we counted
00:12:02.320 down to
00:12:02.980 that date
00:12:03.480 and they
00:12:03.780 said it
00:12:04.420 will no
00:12:05.260 longer be
00:12:05.800 able to
00:12:06.260 reverse
00:12:06.600 anything.
00:12:07.440 Irreversible.
00:12:07.840 It's
00:12:08.180 irreversible
00:12:08.920 after this
00:12:09.460 date.
00:12:09.800 Well they've
00:12:10.260 moved the
00:12:10.620 date now
00:12:10.980 it's 12
00:12:11.360 years in
00:12:11.700 the future.
00:12:12.200 Of course
00:12:12.420 they do.
00:12:12.800 So they've
00:12:12.960 got another
00:12:13.380 12 years.
00:12:14.260 How do you
00:12:14.560 raise money
00:12:15.000 off of
00:12:15.340 over you
00:12:16.240 know hey
00:12:16.440 something
00:12:16.700 that's
00:12:16.960 already
00:12:17.160 happened
00:12:17.440 already
00:12:17.760 reversible.
00:12:19.720 I
00:12:20.100 this is
00:12:26.460 what happens
00:12:27.320 when you
00:12:29.620 you no
00:12:31.720 longer have
00:12:32.880 anything to
00:12:33.960 point to
00:12:35.200 where you
00:12:36.880 no longer
00:12:37.640 have you
00:12:39.300 no longer
00:12:39.820 have a
00:12:40.960 a standard
00:12:42.180 a standard
00:12:44.320 is is
00:12:45.900 is a flag
00:12:46.820 it's a
00:12:47.420 it's a
00:12:48.760 it's a
00:12:49.080 banner
00:12:49.460 that was
00:12:50.800 high up
00:12:51.780 in the air
00:12:52.500 to show
00:12:53.860 people that
00:12:54.940 we're fighting
00:12:55.700 who we
00:12:57.000 were what
00:12:58.200 we were
00:12:58.900 so those
00:13:00.560 banners were
00:13:01.240 for that's
00:13:01.680 what the
00:13:01.920 flag is for
00:13:02.760 it's a
00:13:03.080 standard
00:13:03.740 advance the
00:13:05.000 standard
00:13:05.660 what is
00:13:07.920 our standard
00:13:08.600 now
00:13:09.000 we have
00:13:10.920 chased God
00:13:11.980 out of the
00:13:12.700 square
00:13:13.080 that's fine
00:13:14.020 that's fine
00:13:15.180 if that's
00:13:15.680 if that's
00:13:16.280 what America
00:13:16.880 chooses
00:13:17.360 that's
00:13:17.900 I and
00:13:18.500 my family
00:13:19.200 we have
00:13:20.020 chosen a
00:13:21.220 different
00:13:21.560 path
00:13:22.100 but as
00:13:24.340 of today
00:13:25.080 in America
00:13:25.780 you can
00:13:26.300 still do
00:13:26.840 that
00:13:27.260 but I
00:13:28.780 just ask
00:13:29.340 anyone who
00:13:30.200 wanted to
00:13:30.820 chase
00:13:31.320 our
00:13:32.500 standard
00:13:33.360 out of
00:13:34.640 the public
00:13:35.300 square
00:13:35.780 who are
00:13:39.120 you replacing
00:13:39.780 it with
00:13:40.420 where are
00:13:42.420 we progressing
00:13:43.180 to
00:13:43.800 you're
00:13:46.460 you're
00:13:46.760 now
00:13:47.160 calling
00:13:47.840 for
00:13:48.820 for
00:13:49.740 more
00:13:50.280 radical
00:13:51.100 ways
00:13:51.980 to fight
00:13:53.360 Donald Trump
00:13:54.760 and the
00:13:55.020 Republicans
00:13:55.480 what could
00:13:56.600 you possibly
00:13:57.380 do
00:13:57.920 there were
00:13:58.500 300
00:13:59.240 arrests
00:14:00.180 over the
00:14:00.920 weekend
00:14:01.260 300
00:14:02.400 you are
00:14:04.480 threatening
00:14:04.960 people
00:14:05.460 you are
00:14:05.860 showing up
00:14:06.500 at their
00:14:06.760 houses
00:14:07.180 you're
00:14:07.860 tracking
00:14:08.400 them
00:14:08.720 at
00:14:08.960 restaurants
00:14:09.760 when
00:14:10.000 they're
00:14:10.180 on
00:14:10.360 dates
00:14:10.960 you're
00:14:13.180 hurling
00:14:13.580 insults
00:14:15.180 the
00:14:16.340 well I
00:14:17.060 was going
00:14:17.260 to say
00:14:17.460 the only
00:14:17.720 thing you
00:14:17.980 haven't
00:14:18.280 done
00:14:18.500 is
00:14:18.720 assassinate
00:14:19.440 but
00:14:20.580 the
00:14:21.000 left
00:14:21.340 tried
00:14:21.840 to do
00:14:22.260 that
00:14:22.780 and
00:14:23.900 the
00:14:24.180 media
00:14:24.640 yawned
00:14:26.020 could
00:14:31.360 could I
00:14:31.660 just ask
00:14:32.520 as the
00:14:33.980 crowd
00:14:34.460 is
00:14:35.500 gathering
00:14:36.580 and
00:14:37.320 starting
00:14:37.740 to
00:14:38.220 go
00:14:39.120 over
00:14:39.720 this
00:14:40.100 cliff
00:14:40.540 may I
00:14:41.240 just
00:14:41.620 ask
00:14:41.940 stop
00:14:42.700 for a
00:14:43.100 second
00:14:43.320 stop
00:14:44.060 where
00:14:46.980 does
00:14:47.500 this
00:14:47.680 end
00:14:48.060 where
00:14:49.420 are
00:14:49.640 you
00:14:49.800 going
00:14:50.260 what
00:14:51.580 is
00:14:52.200 your
00:14:52.480 standard
00:14:53.360 as we
00:14:55.340 chased
00:14:56.000 our
00:14:56.740 heroes
00:14:57.360 first
00:14:57.980 all
00:14:58.400 out
00:14:58.760 we
00:14:59.220 chased

00:16:52.080 are
00:16:53.020 angry
00:16:53.740 and
00:16:55.620 it's

00:17:07.280 is
00:17:07.960 bad
00:17:08.780 as
00:17:19.320 much
00:17:19.840 as
00:17:22.020 much
00:17:22.380 as
00:17:22.620 I
00:17:22.780 think
00:17:23.260 Brett
00:17:27.440 Kavanaugh
00:17:28.160 would
00:17:29.260 like to

00:17:30.220 court
00:17:30.600 and
00:17:32.600 be
00:17:32.800 vindictive
00:17:33.500 and
00:17:35.440 see
00:17:35.700 the
00:17:35.980 Democrats
00:17:36.700 bring
00:17:37.140 something
00:17:37.620 for him
00:17:38.080 and say
00:17:38.320 you
00:17:38.640 know
00:17:38.800 what
00:17:38.980 I
00:17:39.100 actually
00:17:39.520 agree
00:17:39.900 with
00:17:40.060 the
00:17:40.180 Democrats
00:17:40.540 on
00:17:40.820 this
00:17:41.020 one
00:17:41.260 but
00:17:41.960 no
00:17:42.780 if
00:17:47.880 he
00:17:48.040 did
00:17:48.400 that
00:17:48.800 we
00:17:50.380 should
00:17:50.580 all
00:17:50.880 be
00:17:51.100 abhorred
00:17:51.800 we
00:17:52.520 should
00:17:52.720 call
00:17:53.140 for
00:17:53.400 his
00:17:53.620 impeachment
00:17:54.160 if
00:17:54.860 he
00:17:55.040 did
00:17:55.340 that
00:17:55.700 and
00:17:58.080 I
00:17:58.400 would
00:17:58.740 stand
00:17:59.340 with
00:17:59.860 you
00:18:00.220 who
00:18:04.740 is
00:18:04.960 bringing
00:18:05.360 the
00:18:05.640 nation
00:18:05.960 together
00:18:06.480 what
00:18:07.400 leader
00:18:08.400 what
00:18:09.880 leader
00:18:10.640 is
00:18:11.100 calling
00:18:11.660 for
00:18:12.360 peace
00:18:13.040 and
00:18:13.580 reconciliation
00:18:14.400 where
00:18:15.780 is
00:18:16.760 that
00:18:17.400 voice
00:18:18.280 I
00:18:24.400 say to
00:18:24.860 my
00:18:25.100 audience
00:18:25.540 and
00:18:26.040 anyone
00:18:26.420 who
00:18:26.660 has
00:18:26.840 been
00:18:27.000 with
00:18:27.220 me
00:18:27.360 for
00:18:27.560 a
00:18:27.680 long
00:18:27.900 time
00:18:28.300 this
00:18:30.120 is
00:18:31.060 the
00:18:31.460 moment
00:18:31.880 this
00:18:33.360 is
00:18:34.120 the
00:18:34.360 beginning
00:18:34.820 of
00:18:35.220 the
00:18:35.420 time
00:18:35.860 that
00:18:36.120 I
00:18:36.240 told
00:18:36.640 you
00:18:36.840 would
00:18:37.080 come
00:18:37.500 this
00:18:38.840 is
00:18:39.460 the
00:18:39.680 time
00:18:40.240 that
00:18:40.900 you
00:18:41.660 have
00:18:42.420 the
00:18:42.660 ability
00:18:43.240 to
00:18:43.560 save
00:18:44.040 the
00:18:44.260 republic
00:18:44.680 it
00:18:46.060 doesn't
00:18:46.720 take
00:18:47.020 a lot
00:18:47.460 of
00:18:47.640 people
00:18:48.060 courage
00:18:49.600 is
00:18:50.180 contagious
00:18:50.860 you
00:18:52.520 must
00:18:53.200 begin
00:18:53.700 to
00:18:54.020 stand
00:18:54.620 with
00:18:55.180 peace
00:18:55.880 and
00:18:56.440 forgiveness
00:18:57.080 it
00:18:58.440 does
00:18:58.840 not
00:18:59.520 mean
00:19:00.260 surrender
00:19:01.040 what
00:19:01.600 you
00:19:01.880 believe
00:19:02.540 but
00:19:06.780 somebody
00:19:07.280 has to
00:19:07.740 tell
00:19:07.920 the
00:19:08.100 crowd
00:19:08.440 stop
00:19:09.500 you've
00:19:10.180 gone
00:19:10.460 insane
00:19:11.120 don't
00:19:12.120 go
00:19:12.540 that
00:19:12.860 direction
00:19:13.540 pretty
00:19:22.860 intense
00:19:23.280 news
00:19:23.600 for
00:19:23.840 you
00:19:23.980 today
00:19:24.400 but
00:19:25.380 we'll
00:19:25.780 all
00:19:26.100 get
00:19:26.280 through
00:19:26.480 it
00:19:26.760 together
00:19:27.940 and
00:19:28.660 we're
00:19:28.860 also
00:19:29.220 I
00:19:29.620 want
00:19:29.780 to
00:19:29.860 remind
00:19:30.140 you
00:19:30.280 that
00:19:30.400 we're
00:19:30.520 going
00:19:30.620 to
00:19:30.660 be
00:19:30.780 out
00:19:30.960 for
00:19:31.160 some
00:19:31.380 laughs
00:19:31.820 as
00:19:32.240 well
00:19:32.580 we're
00:19:33.560 going
00:19:33.760 out
00:19:34.000 on
00:19:34.160 the
00:19:34.360 book
00:19:34.760 tour
00:19:35.080 it
00:19:35.440 starts
00:19:35.740 October
00:19:36.060 25th
00:19:36.740 San
00:19:36.940 Antonio
00:19:37.420 the
00:19:37.680 26th
00:19:38.380 Houston
00:19:38.740 then
00:19:39.820 the
00:19:40.000 27th
00:19:40.700 of
00:19:40.800 this
00:19:40.960 month
00:19:41.200 in
00:19:41.400 Dallas
00:19:41.880 then
00:19:42.640 we
00:19:42.720 go
00:19:42.840 to
00:19:42.980 Richmond
00:19:43.340 Hershey
00:19:44.020 Pennsylvania
00:19:44.940 we
00:19:46.760 go
00:19:47.000 to
00:19:47.280 Cleveland
00:19:47.720 Ohio
00:19:48.320 Kansas
00:19:49.700 City
00:19:50.080 Evansville
00:19:50.720 Indiana
00:19:51.200 Tulsa
00:19:51.720 Oklahoma
00:19:52.180 Tampa
00:19:52.720 and
00:19:53.520 Orlando
00:19:54.060 Florida
00:19:54.620 I
00:19:55.040 was
00:19:55.160 really
00:19:55.300 worried
00:19:55.480 for a
00:19:55.720 while
00:19:55.820 there
00:19:55.960 we
00:19:56.060 wouldn't
00:19:56.200 have
00:19:56.360 any
00:19:56.620 material
00:19:57.700 because
00:19:58.420 the
00:19:58.620 world
00:19:58.800 is
00:19:58.940 such
00:19:59.080 a
00:19:59.240 serious
00:19:59.700 and
00:20:00.160 insensible
00:20:01.080 place
00:20:01.640 but
00:20:01.840 this
00:20:02.040 Kavanaugh
00:20:02.500 thing
00:20:02.680 I
00:20:02.820 think
00:20:03.260 has
00:20:03.620 made
00:20:04.040 me
00:20:04.240 it's
00:20:04.540 pushed
00:20:04.780 me
00:20:04.900 over
00:20:05.020 the
00:20:05.140 edge
00:20:05.280 that
00:20:05.380 we're
00:20:05.480 going
00:20:05.560 to
00:20:05.600 be
00:20:05.680 able
00:20:05.820 to
00:20:05.920 pull
00:20:06.080 off
00:20:06.240 this
00:20:06.420 show
00:20:06.680 yeah
00:20:07.300 I
00:20:07.560 think
00:20:08.020 there
00:20:08.160 might
00:20:08.480 be
00:20:08.660 some
00:20:08.840 things
00:20:09.140 to
00:20:09.440 joke
00:20:10.120 about
00:20:10.440 to
00:20:10.680 poke
00:20:10.940 fun

00:23:04.500 accusing me
00:23:05.220 of now why

00:23:20.620 he said

00:23:33.360 then attempted

00:23:37.260 you seem pretty
00:23:38.160 comfortable with
00:23:38.740 this I'm very
00:23:39.280 uncomfortable
00:23:39.760 his accuser
00:23:41.020 said no at
00:23:42.340 which point he
00:23:43.540 backed off
00:23:44.560 this girl gave
00:23:45.880 the investigator
00:23:46.640 all at my
00:23:47.920 school literally
00:23:48.920 everything all

00:23:54.220 them text
00:23:55.060 messages and
00:23:56.060 even my

00:23:57.420 and I was
00:23:58.280 deemed to be
00:23:59.240 so not a
00:24:00.460 threat to her
00:24:01.460 that the

00:24:03.180 even care if I
00:24:04.040 was in the same

00:24:06.080 that didn't
00:24:08.280 stop make them
00:24:09.520 scared putting
00:24:10.580 his name on
00:24:11.780 the rapist
00:24:12.480 list ask if
00:24:14.920 the school was

00:24:17.360 by students at
00:24:18.100 the University of

00:24:20.180 official said we
00:24:21.520 don't know for

00:24:27.100 students or
00:24:27.740 affiliates of the
00:24:28.560 university would
00:24:29.620 be treated as
00:24:30.600 harassment under
00:24:32.180 school policy the
00:24:33.880 school said if
00:24:35.200 the university
00:24:36.040 receives a
00:24:36.720 complaint that an
00:24:37.740 individual was being
00:24:38.660 harassed or bullied
00:24:39.620 by a student we
00:24:40.800 would investigate it
00:24:41.900 in the same matter
00:24:42.760 as we would any
00:24:43.780 other case so
00:24:45.400 being listed on a

00:26:21.820 ill for having his
00:26:23.840 own point of view
00:26:24.640 agree or disagree
00:26:25.500 this is a disturbing
00:26:27.600 trend is it not
00:26:28.580 well he I mean you
00:26:33.140 know people in the
00:26:35.200 in the in the mental
00:26:36.200 health professions are
00:26:37.020 forbidden strictly
00:26:39.160 forbidden from from
00:26:40.720 diagnosing from a
00:26:41.920 distance so I'm not
00:26:43.340 going to say he's but
00:26:44.380 you know he does say
00:26:45.560 some extreme things
00:26:46.480 that actually you
00:26:48.620 know angers even some
00:26:49.760 of his closest friends
00:26:51.040 no I mean he's been
00:26:52.460 no no don't get me
00:26:53.560 wrong I don't I'm not
00:26:54.780 saying that he's a
00:26:55.840 stable guy I'm just
00:26:58.660 saying that now to
00:27:01.180 say based on what you
00:27:02.460 think politically that
00:27:04.360 you are mentally ill is a
00:27:06.240 is a is a real problem
00:27:07.560 well I think you know
00:27:11.000 we've been doing that
00:27:11.780 to each other for you
00:27:13.740 know hundreds of years
00:27:14.640 it has it has to do
00:27:16.180 with a two-party system
00:27:17.380 and as you know well
00:27:18.720 George Washington
00:27:20.320 John Adams and you
00:27:21.840 know others of the
00:27:22.500 founding fathers there
00:27:23.360 but they were
00:27:23.760 vehemently opposed to
00:27:25.620 having a a party system
00:27:27.520 because it you know
00:27:28.480 it's divisive it just
00:27:29.780 makes people crazy
00:27:30.980 it's just gotten worse
00:27:31.780 and worse and worse
00:27:32.380 okay let me let me
00:27:33.760 talk to you about what
00:27:34.500 what you're you're on for
00:27:36.100 and that is you're in a
00:27:37.940 documentary that I
00:27:39.780 found last week and I
00:27:42.200 really was fascinated by
00:27:45.440 what you brought to the
00:27:46.360 documentary the
00:27:47.180 documentary is called the
00:27:48.040 creepy line it's not out
00:27:49.580 yet but it's coming out
00:27:51.240 soon the creepy line
00:27:52.320 dot com and you are a
00:27:56.420 you're a guy who was a
00:27:57.520 Hillary supporter and you
00:28:00.220 decided to see if Google
00:28:02.200 was was being fair with
00:28:05.500 their with their news is
00:28:07.820 that correct during the
00:28:09.880 last century with their
00:28:11.220 search results and when
00:28:13.920 what did you find well I
00:28:16.960 had already found years
00:28:18.600 before that I've been
00:28:19.960 studying search results and
00:28:21.620 I I had already found
00:28:23.100 that when search results
00:28:24.740 favor one candidate or one
00:28:28.040 cause for that matter that
00:28:30.420 shifts opinions and it
00:28:32.060 shifts votes and and I
00:28:33.500 mean dramatically so it
00:28:35.000 can shift uh voting
00:28:37.140 preferences among undecided
00:28:38.840 voters by twenty percent or
00:28:40.340 more easily and by up to
00:28:42.240 eighty percent in some
00:28:43.860 demographic groups okay so
00:28:45.460 wait wait wait wait
00:28:46.200 explain explain explain how
00:28:50.380 that works sure well we're
00:28:53.680 bombarded as you know by all
00:28:56.240 kinds of information all
00:28:57.920 kinds of media sources uh uh
00:28:59.960 uh you know people ranting and
00:29:01.840 raving on the radio and
00:29:03.160 television and newspapers and
00:29:05.040 magazines all that stuff is
00:29:06.620 competitive and people are very
00:29:08.720 wary about it you know they
00:29:10.560 they're their bias detectors are
00:29:12.760 kind of always working uh you know
00:29:14.920 even even when they listen to
00:29:16.560 their their favorite commentator
00:29:18.560 they're still kind of you know it's
00:29:20.180 you see the human hand you know
00:29:21.940 and everyone knows humans are kind
00:29:23.340 of all right and it's helpful when
00:29:24.600 your people are you yeah of course
00:29:26.920 but when people are using it turns
00:29:28.960 out my research shows other
00:29:30.780 research shows when people are
00:29:32.200 using something like a google
00:29:34.300 search engine they turn off the
00:29:36.400 bias detectors they automatically
00:29:38.120 become very trusting because they
00:29:39.560 think this is an algorithm not that
00:29:41.700 they know what an algorithm is but
00:29:43.220 this is an algorithm I can trust
00:29:45.120 it because it's subjective and
00:29:46.360 impartial so that when google answers
00:29:49.320 your question about anything uh
00:29:52.480 what what tends to happen is if
00:29:54.660 people trust what's higher up in
00:29:56.460 the list they think that the
00:29:57.940 algorithm has very carefully and
00:30:00.140 objectively selected it and it must be
00:30:02.300 true so if you favor one candidate
00:30:05.580 or one cause or one company or
00:30:08.680 whatever it may be one product in
00:30:10.880 search results uh people tend to
00:30:14.120 believe what's ever closest to the
00:30:16.300 top and what I showed in in a series
00:30:19.540 of randomized controlled experiments
00:30:22.300 that now we've now done with four
00:30:24.680 national elections involving you
00:30:26.620 know more than 10 000 people uh i've
00:30:30.680 shown over and over and over and
00:30:32.420 over again that by favoring one
00:30:34.580 candidate you can shift in a country
00:30:37.320 like ours millions of votes with no one
00:30:41.200 having the slightest idea that they are
00:30:44.280 being manipulated and without leaving a
00:30:46.580 paper trail for authorities to track you
00:30:49.520 that is scary it is you um you lay this
00:30:53.960 out in the in the um creepy line um
00:30:57.960 about how google has really stripped
00:31:01.440 itself of all ads and everything else so
00:31:03.660 it it looks totally clean and neutral and
00:31:07.060 without an agenda um and then uh how
00:31:11.700 they have you know when you first did it
00:31:15.760 i think one of the tests you did you did
00:31:17.500 it where you you were clear with an
00:31:20.540 agenda then you added one that might go
00:31:23.800 in the other direction and then you added
00:31:25.840 two search results uh that would go in the
00:31:28.740 other direction and you got it to a point
00:31:31.320 to where google is to where you don't have
00:31:33.620 any idea you're being manipulated
00:31:35.320 correct you have absolutely no idea so
00:31:39.340 when we we did this in a national uh study
00:31:42.260 in the u.s almost no one was aware that they
00:31:45.920 were seeing biased or uh search results
00:31:48.980 that favor one candidate the this really
00:31:52.240 creepy thing there was that the very very
00:31:55.240 few people who could spot the bias they
00:31:58.020 shifted even farther in the direction of
00:32:00.200 the bias so you know being able to spot
00:32:03.100 the bias does not protect you uh we did a
00:32:06.260 big national study in india right in the
00:32:08.700 middle of their election there in 2014 99.5
00:32:13.020 percent of people in the study uh could
00:32:15.780 see no bias whatsoever they couldn't see
00:32:18.560 the favoritism uh and and yet we're still
00:32:21.720 getting these big shifts uh in their voting
00:32:24.580 preferences so you know this is this is
00:32:28.020 unprecedented in human history this is
00:32:30.760 this is just this is an ability to shift
00:32:34.700 people's thinking and behavior worldwide it's
00:32:38.480 not just in the u.s because google is is you
00:32:42.080 know used uh for you know 90 percent of all
00:32:44.940 searches conducted throughout the world
00:32:47.320 uh you know and and in other words they
00:32:50.540 have the ability to shift people's thinking
00:32:52.820 behavior votes purchases attitudes beliefs
00:32:55.780 around the world they are doing so 24 7
00:32:59.900 without people knowing and without leaving a
00:33:04.740 paper trail because when you're showing
00:33:06.540 something someone's search results that's not
00:33:08.480 like a news story that just stays there for
00:33:11.240 people to look at it's generated just for you
00:33:14.320 on the fly at that moment disappears gone
00:33:17.380 forever stored nowhere would you is it an
00:33:21.640 overstatement to say whether it's um you know
00:33:24.900 wilson and bernays uh in world war one or or uh you
00:33:29.640 know goebbels world war two that this is the this is
00:33:34.360 the system that they would have dreamt of
00:33:37.000 for propaganda
00:33:39.480 oh this goes beyond their wildest dreams uh because
00:33:46.660 it's not just the search results i just published a
00:33:49.400 big article uh called uh 10 ways big tech can shift
00:33:57.580 millions of votes in the november elections without anyone knowing
00:34:03.220 now the one we're talking about which is called the search engine
00:34:06.660 manipulation effect or seem s-e-m-e that's just one of 10 ways
00:34:12.120 uh that i've identified over the years and that i've been studying i'm studying
00:34:15.700 seven of them at the moment uh that these big tech companies have to shift
00:34:19.940 votes and that are unprecedented in human history they've never existed
00:34:24.620 before uh and they they they're i mean some of
00:34:29.040 these effects that that i've uh discovered are among the biggest
00:34:33.180 ever discovered in the behavioral sciences and there is hundred years
00:34:36.940 and there is no doubt in your mind that google is engaging in this
00:34:41.100 well in 2016 early 2016 uh working in secret uh i developed a system for
00:34:50.220 actually monitoring what people were seeing while they were using
00:34:54.860 uh the google bing and yahoo search engines that was election related so it's
00:34:59.820 as if we were looking over people's uh shoulders
00:35:02.860 it's called a monitoring system and so it was the first ever
00:35:06.060 created and so we actually monitored for more than five months before the
00:35:10.860 election in november 2016
00:35:13.580 uh and we found a you know systematic bias in search results favoring hillary
00:35:20.220 clinton whom i favored by the way as you mentioned uh in all ten
00:35:26.060 search positions on the first page of search results
00:35:29.260 now that's that's pretty blatant that's pretty extreme
00:35:33.660 wow of course these leaks these leaks that we've seen recently from google
00:35:37.900 uh you know they're they're they tell us you know that yeah people at google
00:35:41.900 have a very strong political preferences and that they act on them
00:35:46.620 and uh i don't think we should be surprised uh that we found that and of
00:35:51.100 course now i'm working with with business partners and academic
00:35:54.460 colleagues on three continents to try to scale up monitoring systems
00:35:59.100 like that so for the first time we'll actually
00:36:01.740 be able to see what these companies are showing people all throughout the u.s
00:36:06.460 and ultimately throughout the world
00:36:08.700 and we'll we'll i think be able to make these companies accountable to the
00:36:12.060 public at some point uh you know i wish we
00:36:16.540 well i wish we could be fully up and running
00:36:19.740 in time for the midterms and uh at this point i'd say that's not going to happen
00:36:24.700 but we will definitely be there for for 2020 and beyond
00:36:29.100 and and we're looking at more than elections because it's there there are
00:36:32.540 lots of ways in which these companies
00:36:35.100 are playing with us uh that people are just completely unaware of and speaking of
00:36:40.380 which glenn am i in trouble well kind of
00:36:47.660 yes kind of um i have good news and bad news
00:36:51.820 for you okay um can we start with the bad news
00:36:55.740 all right no let's let's save that all right uh the good the good the good news i
00:37:00.780 mean the the good news is that um that the glenn beck.com
00:37:07.980 right yeah and your email service that you use
00:37:12.060 uh is is you're not sharing information you're not sharing your emails with google
00:37:17.580 now interestingly enough the new york times
00:37:20.940 the times of london the economist wired magazine slate i could go on and on and
00:37:26.380 on they share all of their emails
00:37:31.260 all the time with google and other sensitive documents too
00:37:35.580 and so reporters when they're doing you know very sensitive investigations on
00:37:40.780 something they're sharing everything constantly with google and i wrote a piece
00:37:45.020 about that it was in the daily caller a couple months ago
00:37:48.220 good news is you don't do that yeah okay let's end it there for just a second
00:37:52.860 okay so excuse me uh so you were just about to give me more good news
00:38:00.540 well no the good news is again you you you do not share
00:38:03.980 your emails with google unlike a lot of major
00:38:07.100 news organizations like the new york times and the boston globe they do
00:38:11.820 but bad news is that uh glenn beck.com uses google google analytics and so
00:38:19.500 what that means is everyone who has ever visited your website
00:38:23.580 is tracked every single thing they do on your website is tracked by google
00:38:30.940 so here's a here's a problem as a business owner
00:38:34.220 google analytics are the best how do you how do you how do you do business
00:38:39.900 without google at times that's that's always the thing that gets you in the end
00:38:44.860 yeah well sure but you know you know this is this convenience thing over and over
00:38:49.980 and then their products are so good so but you don't realize that these aren't
00:38:53.260 real products they're just surveillance platforms
00:38:55.980 that's the only reason they run them every single service they provide is just
00:39:01.180 another surveillance platform uh i do have a little bit more good news
00:39:05.580 though which is that film that you mentioned the creepy line yes uh when
00:39:10.540 you had uh my one of my new very good friends peter schweitzer on your your show recently
00:39:17.740 he's a uh he's one who really got that film running uh it sure it wasn't available but now
00:39:25.500 as of right now it is available both on amazon and on itunes for for rental or sale and it's
00:39:32.460 it and it really is a fabulous film and don't google it just go to thecreepyline.com
00:39:38.940 when you came out about some of this stuff and again you were a hillary supporter when you came
00:39:44.060 out about this were you you were blocked by google for a time were you not well when i when my research
00:39:53.100 uh first hit the news in the washington post uh you know i found that starting the next day i
00:39:58.700 couldn't access any google products i couldn't even access google.com so i have these amazing screenshots
00:40:05.740 that like they're just shocking to people because you can't even imagine not being able to access
00:40:11.420 google yeah but i have screenshots showing getting these timeouts saying no you know you can't get
00:40:16.940 there sorry it's amazing okay um let's go through some of the uh some of the uh effects that you are
00:40:25.660 monitoring we have about about a minute here so why don't you just take one of them on you say there
00:40:31.980 what let's see seven ten is there ten of these that you're following ten all together okay ten
00:40:38.300 all together okay so let's take on one real quick begin very good when okay here we go this is called
00:40:45.100 sse or the search suggestion effect when you start to type a search term into the google search bar you
00:40:51.420 are being manipulated from the very first character that you type so if you type a depending on your
00:40:57.260 history and other things chances are you'll get amazon right away they'll start flashing suggestions
00:41:03.100 at you and amazon it turns out is google's biggest advertiser paying them 300 million dollars a year
00:41:09.500 and google sends more traffic to amazon than any other single source but beyond that we've learned
00:41:16.140 through our experiments that google can use search suggestions that they're flashing at you to turn a
00:41:22.700 50 50 50 vote among a 50 50 split among undecided voters into a 90 10 split with no one having any
00:41:31.900 idea they're being manipulated oh my gosh oh my gosh is it too much to say it's we're on the we're at
00:41:41.340 mind control or the threshold of mind control doctor uh well we've been there for a long time there's uh
00:41:49.580 you know uh there's no question about it there's literally right now more than 2.5 billion people
00:41:56.300 soon to be over 4 billion uh whose whose thoughts and purchases and beliefs and attitudes and voting
00:42:03.500 preferences uh are affected uh dramatically uh every single day by uh some manipulations that big tech
00:42:14.540 companies are perpetrating on them and that's happening now so that that's already going full
00:42:21.660 steam uh it's just getting worse every day so i i just i i want to reset that you did a uh study during
00:42:29.500 the last presidential election you are a hillary clinton supporter but you're a truth teller and you were doing
00:42:36.060 a uh uh study on google search uh results and found that they were trying to manipulate it in favor of
00:42:45.820 hillary clinton now you say that's only one way we then have the search suggestion effect now target
00:42:51.820 messaging effect what is the target sure targeted messaging tme we call that is uh these are all things
00:43:01.500 that we study and that we were you know we're quantifying and you know very precisely uh but
00:43:06.860 targeted messaging effect uh is really scary uh this this means that if a company this would this
00:43:12.860 would primarily be facebook but other companies too but if a company like facebook on election day
00:43:18.940 so let's go back to november 2016 if if that morning mark zuckerberg had chosen to just you know
00:43:27.660 hit the anarchy and send out go out and vote reminders uh mainly to supporters of hillary clinton
00:43:37.100 or exclusively either way first of all no one would know that that was even occurring no one would know
00:43:42.460 it was going to some people and not others but if it went just to supporters of hillary clinton
00:43:48.060 that would have given her that day an additional 450 000 votes now my gosh i don't i don't think he did
00:43:57.180 that because you know he was very overconfident uh you know as as were democrats uh i'm not a democrat
00:44:05.020 i'm not i'm a moderate and independent but the point is everyone thought hillary was going to win so
00:44:11.580 i'm pretty sure he didn't do that uh but the point is we know from facebook's own published data that that
00:44:19.180 just sending out that kind of reminder selectively dramatically dramatically shifts votes and think
00:44:28.060 about it no one knows if something like that is happening in fact if it's happening every single
00:44:33.420 day there there were targeted messages going out to some people but not others and of course isn't that
00:44:39.580 what targeted advertising is all about but you see targeted advertising though is competitive but i'm
00:44:47.180 talking about what happens if the platform itself does something that's not competitive it's completely
00:44:54.300 invisible and it's not competitive so can i mean this is so dangerous um and it is i mean it's everything
00:45:03.180 that a sci-fi you know uh writer has envisioned forever uh and i mean ken ken especially when we get to
00:45:14.300 artificial intelligence couldn't a system like google be used to identify unstable individuals and wind them
00:45:24.780 up oh yes they can they in fact they know who's unstable they know who's undecided they know who is
00:45:33.500 republican and who is gay and you name it they know far more about us i mean unstable i mean unstable
00:45:40.540 mentally yeah yeah yeah oh no you're absolutely right they have literally unprecedented power uh to
00:45:52.220 shift people yes shift unstable people shift anybody uh and and they know they have this power uh
00:46:01.660 one of the leaks from google was a a little internal film there eight minute film called the selfish
00:46:07.740 ledger you want to get creeped out watch that film that's an internal film there where they're they're
00:46:14.060 talking about their power to reshape humankind i've seen it it's terrifying so before we and because
00:46:23.420 we're going to run out of time what do we do uh well there's there's things that we can do at the
00:46:31.340 individual level especially for parents which i am and uh and there are things that have to be done at
00:46:39.340 a much higher level of you know governmental or organizational so the individual level you know
00:46:44.940 we can take some steps uh to protect our privacy and privacy of our kids so i have an article very easy
00:46:52.140 to find online that's called seven simple steps toward online privacy um you know i can give your your
00:46:59.340 your staff a link to it yeah we'll send it out in our newsletter which is not tracked by google
00:47:04.380 uh seven simple steps okay we'll send that out today if you sign up for our newsletter if you don't
00:47:09.900 have it not tracked by google um but uh we'll say we'll send that out today and i'll also make it
00:47:15.580 available at glennbeck.com um yeah so there are some things you can do you've been one of them
00:47:20.540 one of the many things that's not on that list is you shouldn't be using google analytics
00:47:24.220 which glennbeck.com is using so that's at the individual level now at the at the organizational
00:47:32.300 governmental level there's other things uh you know uh so hang on but you shouldn't even be using
00:47:40.060 a google chrome browser um but even if you go to is it microsoft browser that is powered by google
00:47:48.860 uh information i mean there's do you know what i'm talking about no matter no matter yes i do know
00:47:56.300 which and no matter where you go google is there google now pays apple computers nine billion dollars
00:48:04.940 a year to be the default search engine when people are using safari which is which is apple browser
00:48:12.540 google is paying apple nine billion dollars next year they're supposed to pay them 12 billion
00:48:17.900 to be the default search engine on safari this is for any any apple device at all so google is everywhere
00:48:26.700 where do you think siri gets its answers from it gets its answers from google series is you know apple's
00:48:33.820 personal assistant so i mean i could go on and on and on but at the at the institutional level there
00:48:41.340 are things that have to be done uh one of them which i'm helping to work on with people now and we
00:48:46.860 need money so you know if you guys have money out there you know step up uh but we we are building
00:48:53.340 monitoring systems it's you know basically to with people's permission to look over people's shoulders
00:48:59.580 and see what these companies are actually showing people how they're manipulating people i would love
00:49:05.740 to be i'd love to be a part of that um how can people donate to that well they can go to my google
00:49:13.020 research dot com my google research dot com that's a very simple way to donate that supports uh the
00:49:19.660 research that i do but also uh that's helping to provide funds to build monitoring systems which
00:49:25.820 which must exist they don't exist i did build one in 2016 but we need large-scale permanent monitoring
00:49:34.220 systems uh to keep all these these creepy arrogant people under control so
00:49:43.260 i am very um concerned um about agi and asi um and i'm i'm concerned that in two ways
00:49:57.180 i feel as though we need some sort of a manhattan project to make sure america is the one that gets
00:50:05.100 it first but on the other hand i don't know who i trust to have it i mean you cannot put this genie
00:50:12.540 back in the bottle but when when we hit agi we are in real trouble are we not
00:50:19.260 uh you have no idea if you if no seriously if you if you knew the stuff that i knew and you were
00:50:29.500 looking every day at the numbers i look at you wouldn't even get out of bed
00:50:35.820 okay all right well i'm going to go back to bed now i've i mean i've i've i've read a lot about it so
00:50:42.700 what do you suggest what do you what what should we be what should we be asking i mean i mean congress
00:50:50.540 is just useless our government is just they're not paying attention to this at all and it's moving so
00:50:56.780 rapidly by the time they would enact something it will be too late that is correct so regulation and
00:51:03.740 law is not going to help us too much because they just move too slowly and and tech moves extremely fast
00:51:10.220 so uh you know that doesn't mean we shouldn't you know contact our our our our congressional
00:51:17.900 representatives correct we should to try to keep the pressure on i've i've been a speaker uh at
00:51:24.380 meetings of the attorneys general the state uh attorneys general and there and those guys those
00:51:30.220 guys and those women can move they can move fast they can do things so you know uh beyond that you know
00:51:37.100 you've got to start at the individual level i mean if you're using gmail right now that's insane
00:51:43.740 if you're using chrome that's insane if you're using an android phone that's that's all google
00:51:50.300 you're nuts you're crazy to use products because those are all just surveillance platforms that's all
00:51:56.860 they are that's they're not they're just gussied up surveillance platforms they're just they're just
00:52:02.380 excuses google has come up with uh for us to just tell them everything about ourselves do you know how
00:52:09.340 much information google has about you no they have um just based on your age which is i know roughly
00:52:19.180 uh they have the equivalent of about three million word pages of information about you oh my gosh
00:52:27.980 so
00:52:36.620 i mean i i guess i'm i guess i'm at the point to where you don't get up out of bed like you i mean i
00:52:43.020 it so it's overwhelming so what does that mean what i mean how do we there's no way to get it back
00:52:51.900 are you familiar with solid let me go here are you familiar with solid and interrupt
00:52:58.940 yes is there any chance that that is going to play a role in the future is that a pathway
00:53:07.900 uh it's hard to tell i'm gonna have to say probably not because uh it's it's very very hard uh you know
00:53:17.260 google and facebook in particular are are so powerful and so embedded that you just you you can't really
00:53:24.860 cut into them people people don't want to leave them people are you know they they love them and
00:53:30.620 so it's hard you know i know lots of people working on alternative kinds of you know services and uh
00:53:38.460 and a lot of people are talking about blockchain and so on but i mean the reality is you know we're
00:53:43.660 talking about 90 of search around the world is done on google uh these two companies are serving
00:53:50.940 right now more than 2.5 billion people that'll be past 4 billion within the next three years
00:53:56.780 they're just growing and growing and growing and it's down so it's concerning what they're doing in
00:54:01.420 china i mean i mean i don't know how i don't know how they sleep at night well that's outrageous that is
00:54:09.180 absolutely right because they're actually they're actually partnering with the chinese government to
00:54:14.540 participate in the chinese government's uh aggressive uh program to control all of its citizens
00:54:21.820 and google is participating in that i mean literally making it easier and better making that kind of
00:54:28.460 easier and better that's that's that's outrageous doctor i would i would love to uh fly you in and
00:54:35.180 spend a couple of hours with you and and have you on regularly to to be able to monitor and help in
00:54:41.660 any way that we can to get the word out this is this is the thing that i think america and the world
00:54:49.580 should be concentrating on and no one's talking about it the world is being redesigned by a handful
00:54:57.340 and we're just not aware of it and it's going to change overnight uh doctor thank you so much i
00:55:04.300 really appreciate it absolutely you bet it's been an honor a true honor glenn the left believes they
00:55:13.820 need to become more radical uh and they need to turn things up a notch now i don't know how you do that
00:55:24.300 i mean yeah now i did recommend you know guillotines i guess they could start using guillotines i do like the
00:55:30.940 old uh you know genghis khan take the leadership roll them in carpets and then just have horses
00:55:37.260 trample them but that might hurt a horse you know and the left would not want to do that so i guess
00:55:42.540 you could get a smart car or you know a chevy volt but then set on fire and then you die screaming
00:55:50.140 it could be a win-win there anyway um oh my gosh did you just threaten yeah what are we talking about here
00:55:58.220 how do you turn this up pat how do you turn this up without violence i i think the only level up
00:56:06.940 is revolution isn't it that's about the only thing they haven't done so far they're screaming in
00:56:11.980 people's faces uh they're showing up at restaurants and department stores and everywhere maxine waters
00:56:17.740 told them to yeah homes they're clawing at the door of the u.s supreme court it's they're threatening
00:56:24.540 online yeah they're they're scaring people they're charging them with with crimes they didn't commit
00:56:32.860 i mean i think we're all pretty sure he's not a game or gang rapist right we're all pretty sure
00:56:38.220 i think even michael avenatti knows that yeah i mean you know there were five people five people
00:56:43.900 only one charge was ford ford was one the other four they weren't real now why do we say well no
00:56:52.220 woman would do that well no you've got four people over here who did multiple huge stories
00:56:59.340 of fake accusations of sexual assault that have happened over the past few months so this happens
00:57:03.820 all the time because women are people right women are people and women do bad things just like men do
00:57:08.140 bad things big story uh i think it was in california of a high school kid who was accused by these high
00:57:14.780 school girls they called them the mean girls yeah it was in the same city where uh the movie supposedly took
00:57:20.540 place um and so these girls all got together because they didn't like this guy and decided to accuse
00:57:27.020 him of sexual assault he went through all kinds of hell over it and uh after six months or a year they
00:57:35.900 finally admitted yeah no we made that up why because we didn't like to listen to him and i didn't like to
00:57:41.420 look at him oh wow amazing so did you hear the credible stuff did you hear make them scared the
00:57:49.660 website make them scared no i haven't this is from the university of washington uh and uh uh it's a
00:57:57.660 website where you can just um you know put your allegation out about how you've been raped or whatever
00:58:03.500 you just include that person's name you know where they are what class etc etc and just we're gonna make
00:58:09.900 them scared wow yeah by university students on the university washington campus i mean what what
00:58:17.660 else what else i mean this is the world the left is is increasingly embracing legitimizing and calling
00:58:28.700 for and what are the the normal civilized way to escalate a situation when you're not getting what
00:58:35.660 you want right you can do things like you can escalate your language it's hard to escalate past
00:58:40.140 gang rape accusations it's kind of hard to go past that with your language i guess you can go to
00:58:43.820 murder you can go to genocide there's a couple other things i guess you can accuse a supreme court
00:58:47.900 justice of to get your way uh then you have uh like uh they already they already say the united
00:58:53.500 states is a genocidal country right i mean there's there's no way you can increase the language against
00:58:58.620 america or men so then you can go to structural or procedural type of things but i mean look what they did
00:59:03.740 here they they pulled out every stop they tried to get uh they delayed and delayed and delayed they
00:59:08.220 tried to get an fbi investigation then they said that wasn't enough there were seven yeah he said
00:59:13.020 seven fbi background and with no evidence absolutely zero thousands and thousands of people show up
00:59:18.620 screaming we believe we we believe the survivor well survivor of what why i mean until it's confirmed
00:59:24.380 she's not a survivor right right like i mean at least to us she may if something happened to her and
00:59:28.620 she's telling the truth about kavanaugh yes she's a survivor to herself but as a society we have to
00:59:32.620 judge it based on the facts right and i don't condemn her i don't wish ill towards her nothing
00:59:37.980 nothing i don't know i wasn't there no but we don't destroy either life and there's got to be
00:59:43.580 some evidence against the guy it's not up to him to prove he didn't do it no it doesn't no they don't
00:59:50.700 need evidence can we play the audio of this is me i uh this is me half listening somebody said to me
00:59:58.780 glenn you don't want to do this interview blah blah blah and i heard london i thought i heard
01:00:03.100 the bbc and i was like oh yeah because i thought they would be you know they would be detached from
01:00:10.060 it and uh so there would be a chance to actually have a decent conversation i sit down in the chair
01:00:16.860 i put in my headphones and i hear cnn international and i'm like oh dear god i did i say yes to cnn
01:00:23.580 international yes oh geez and so we go on the air you can imagine what cnn is saying on friday but i
01:00:32.540 want you to listen just to how this ends i i i'm i'm asking look may i suggest in another reality here
01:00:43.100 that maybe he wasn't an angry man maybe he had a right because people were accusing him of gang rape
01:00:50.140 she goes through all of these things she doesn't have an answer for any of them so she goes here
01:00:56.540 now listen to this argument let me glenn ask you about your tweets because this is how people express
01:01:03.900 themselves oftentimes and how you build a sort of a picture of someone's can we stop here for opinions
01:01:12.380 okay so you can imagine glenn beck tweets it's got to be a bad one right right of course what and i'm
01:01:17.820 thinking to myself what have i said recently about kavanaugh that would be bad how could i man i've
01:01:24.780 tried to be a peacemaker on this listen to what she says opinions of someone's thoughts of their
01:01:31.180 impressions on what's going on let me put up one of the tweets that i found interesting that that you
01:01:36.860 put out in the last few days um americans are um i can't i can't read it guys you got to put it
01:01:44.620 out there americans are fair and i believe they see the pain on both sides and without evidence
01:01:50.780 will not want to choose if the democrats cram this down we're talking here about the uh i imagine the
01:01:57.100 dr ford uh testimony no i believe americans will rise up at the polls but you're saying that it's we're
01:02:03.660 being too partisan in the united states but are democrats not americans it seems like they're just
01:02:08.700 these two things are mutually exclusive this is the problem this is the problem this is the problem
01:02:15.340 did i say democrats are not americans you know you should take a breath before you just try to get
01:02:22.220 a yet another ratings point i mean they may start they may stop going she needed a she needed an emmy
01:02:30.700 or maybe maybe she needed an olympic medal for the gymnastics that she had to go through to find
01:02:38.380 a fence there democrats you know we should just start to we should we should start to be more clear
01:02:45.820 perhaps uh but i'm glad she was worried about policing my language as opposed to all the other
01:02:52.140 tweets that are happening on the left right now democrats it's the party i think the party has detached
01:03:01.100 from the democrats that i know they do not want to be a part of of more radical more dangerous kind
01:03:09.820 of stuff that's the party that's not the actual person so are democrats not american are you are you
01:03:17.180 kidding me you got to stop tweeting that the democrats aren't american why we can judge you you
01:03:24.060 know we can we can read a lot into what people write and we can judge you yeah you mean the tweet that
01:03:29.100 starts i believe americans are fair and they won't want to judge either side well you heard her say
01:03:35.580 that she couldn't see it it almost seems like she had a a pre-built intro here's something offensive
01:03:40.700 you said guys i can't see it oh i think all americans are fair she didn't find this anyway
01:03:46.540 did you guys hear the vice editor who talked about the protesters at these events i thought this was
01:03:52.860 fascinating and it's not getting a ton of attention it was on abc's this week vice news dc bureau chief
01:03:58.460 shauna thomas talking about the protest listen and we also saw people who were organized and that moment
01:04:03.340 with jeff flake on the hill we talked to one woman who works for ultraviolet who was paid she helped
01:04:08.860 steer people in the right ways to be able to to confront so there were paid there were people who were paid
01:04:15.020 by organizations like ultraviolet to to try to harness that energy in a way that would make the
01:04:22.060 viral moments that we ended up seeing wait wait what huh wait wait the demonstrators were paid to
01:04:29.180 create fake viral moments sarah could you play the first part of that cnn interview because it's so great
01:04:35.260 now play the first part of that cnn interview cnn international this is let me glenn ask you about your
01:04:43.020 tweets because no no no the first one the other question yeah the other clip because i mean that's
01:04:47.660 a yeah that's vice that's vice that's not a left you know saying yes they were paid for people know
01:04:55.260 that one thing is very clear there is a deep partisan divide in washington right now it's permeating
01:05:01.820 through a divided nation what needs to be done to change that is a question or has it always been
01:05:08.620 there it's just something that we're noticing more now because of social media and cable
01:05:12.780 news perhaps media personality and political commentator glenn beck has written extensively
01:05:18.540 about this in his new book addicted to outrage he joins me now from irving in texas thanks for being
01:05:25.420 with us you bet one of the things one of the things you said is you you acknowledge that some of the work
01:05:31.660 you did on cable news contributed to this polarization and i i i would love to have other voices join me but
01:05:38.300 so far i haven't had anybody i think we're all responsible for what's happened to our country
01:05:43.260 and to the republic and it is becoming more and more disturbing i've spoken out about it over for the
01:05:49.580 last five years i have talked to members of press i've talked to people and the only ones that seem to
01:05:55.260 be interested are the people who are actually living day to day in the country i think they are are
01:06:00.140 disgusted by this entire process i think that um many people when they heard the charges were open to
01:06:08.700 listening they did they watched it i know several people that watched last week and gave professor
01:06:14.940 ford all the benefit of the doubt many people watched it that i know that were for kavanaugh that
01:06:20.220 said uh i'm not sure now i don't know but they've really been what's wrong with the what's wrong with the
01:06:26.540 process she she had allegations against judge kavanaugh she aired them then the committee heard from
01:06:33.020 kavanaugh uh those who don't support his nomination say in fact it was all rigged in his favor that the
01:06:40.380 fbi didn't talk to people who could have corroborated about protesting said you know i've heard the press
01:06:46.780 ask over i've heard the press ask over and over will this be good enough will this be good enough for
01:06:53.980 what for people to not change their positions and i don't say that just about the democrats i mean
01:06:59.900 that about the republicans too there are people that it doesn't matter what the facts are this was
01:07:06.380 not a search for facts at all and the the money outside of washington that is being poured into this
01:07:14.140 to bring people into the streets the the vitriol behind all of this has really been remarkable and if
01:07:22.620 we don't you're saying this is coming from outside money that this these are not genuine
01:07:27.420 protesters who are called by what's going on we believe that the voice of a woman let me see let
01:07:32.380 me ask let me ask cnn a question stop it's not what you're saying it's just now vice is saying they
01:07:39.340 have the people what uh that's were you saying that's crazy it's not it's not even convincing like
01:07:47.580 outrage no it's no it's you know what and she might even believe it but that's how sheltered they
01:07:54.540 are that's how sheltered they are they have absolutely no idea i listen to the new york times
01:08:01.660 daily every morning and it is hard to do and i listened to it this morning and they were talking
01:08:08.620 about how this whole process how what the republicans did delegitimize the supreme court and how dangerous
01:08:16.060 that is i'm not kidding you within five minutes now some democrats say that they should delegitimize
01:08:25.100 the supreme court because it's an outrageous uh right-wing organization now wait what i thought
01:08:34.700 delegitimization was really bad now you're for it and you want to encourage people to do it it's it's not
01:08:43.100 a just it's just not about the truth insanely transparent yeah how do we fix it i don't know
01:08:50.060 that's what pat's gonna do coming up oh and uh you're gonna fix it today oh wow yeah i've been
01:08:55.100 holding back until now all right today i'm gonna i'm gonna release the answer okay good all right
01:09:00.540 that answer is coming up in just a few minutes on pat gray unleashed now with answers and
01:09:07.580 and scrubbing bubbles the blaze radio network
01:09:15.660 on demand
