00:00:00.000 The Blaze Radio Network, on demand.
00:00:10.860 Love. Courage. Truth. Glenn Beck.
00:00:17.580 Earlier today, in Israel, sirens blared and men and women and children
00:00:22.720 pulled their cars over on the highway, stopped whatever they were doing.
00:00:28.120 And they stood with their heads bowed as the entire nation of Israel came to a standstill.
00:00:37.180 This happens every year, and it is remarkable to witness.
00:00:43.080 Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day, and the Knesset marked the day with the annual ceremony
00:00:48.260 of the blaring of the sirens, and then also,
00:00:52.380 Unto every person there is a name, and for two hours the Israeli lawmakers
00:00:57.160 recite the name of the six million Jews murdered by the Nazis.
00:01:03.740 Just a few short hours before Jews all over the world began this time of sorrowful remembrance,
00:01:10.160 the Prime Minister of Israel received a frantic phone call from Russia.
00:01:14.680 Vladimir Putin was on the other end.
00:01:16.280 He was desperate to save his ally, Chemical Assad, as Trump calls him.
00:01:21.860 He apparently pleaded with Netanyahu not to get involved in this growing coalition of Western allies
00:01:28.440 to strike Syria.
00:01:30.840 He must be desperate for Vladimir Putin to call Benjamin Netanyahu to save Assad.
00:01:41.820 As of now, the list of allies rumored to include the United States, France, the UK, and even Germany.
00:01:50.100 Netanyahu's response was simple.
00:01:52.780 On the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Israeli Prime Minister responded defiantly.
00:01:58.200 He said,
00:01:58.720 I will never, ever allow the Iranian military to remain in Syria.
00:02:03.980 You see, this is what this is really all about, and nobody is really talking about it.
00:02:08.920 Russia has been supporting Iran for a very long time.
00:02:13.020 Iran now has overrun much of Iraq and is in Syria,
00:02:18.020 and they're trying to create a crescent-shaped state.
00:02:25.940 Oh my gosh, a caliphate.
00:02:28.020 It's been over 70 years since the Nazis fell in Europe,
00:02:33.220 but their anti-Semitic ideology lives on in a different and possibly even more frightening form
00:02:39.380 with the Iranian regime.
00:02:41.200 Does anybody know what Iran means in Persian?
00:02:46.580 Has anybody asked,
00:02:48.340 when did Persia go away?
00:02:51.020 And when did it become Iran?
00:02:54.300 It's a great story.
00:02:55.760 I'll tell it to you some other time if you've missed me telling it before,
00:03:00.040 but you can figure it out just by realizing that the name Iran is Persian for Aryan.
00:03:11.000 They claim such support for Hitler's ideas that they officially declared themselves an Aryan nation.
00:03:22.540 Well, the clerical regime in Iran wants Israel wiped off the face of the map,
00:03:29.380 and they want all of the Jews dead, and that's all they're after.
00:03:33.640 And you need to understand this, and the world needs to understand this.
00:03:37.920 It doesn't mean you have to agree.
00:03:40.620 It just means you have to understand that this is what they're doing.
00:03:45.620 Ever since the fall of Saddam Hussein, Iran has been carving up the Middle East,
00:03:49.960 getting closer and closer to their final solution.
00:03:53.560 What's even more despicable is that the Obama administration practically rolled out the red carpet for them to do it.
00:03:59.840 The Iranian clerical regime is moving methodically towards Israel's border,
00:04:05.220 because they believe that when Israel is gone and the Jews are dead, the Messiah will come.
00:04:12.060 The world will end, and their prophet will tell them,
00:04:14.940 well done, good and faithful servants.
00:04:17.580 Again, you don't have to believe this,
00:04:19.920 but you have to understand the religious nutjobs do believe this.
00:04:26.360 You don't have to take my word for it.
00:04:28.700 You don't even have to take Netanyahu's word for it.
00:04:31.340 There is a line in a speech given just a few days ago that no one, no one has reported on.
00:04:41.700 It came from the Deputy Secretary General from the Iranian Republican Guard.
00:04:46.820 Now, this is the militia operating in both Iraq and Syria.
00:04:51.300 I want to quote it.
00:04:53.540 Listen carefully.
00:04:55.560 Quote,
00:04:56.020 If you're a long-term listener of the program, you know that's the 12th, the mom.
00:05:09.200 Continuing my quote,
00:05:10.540 We're currently busy completing the encirclement of Israel
00:05:15.460 and will soon pray in the Dome of the Rock.
00:05:20.220 End quote.
00:05:20.780 Have you ever heard about the Iranian involvement in both Lebanon and Syria
00:05:47.660 and wondered what this was all about?
00:05:51.620 This is what Israel is facing.
00:05:54.360 This is what the world is now facing.
00:05:57.260 It kind of puts the current conflict of Syria in a completely different context.
00:06:04.920 And when you're dealing with this level of evil,
00:06:07.940 we all better come together
00:06:10.820 or we will all pay a great price.
00:06:14.740 So, today, on Holocaust Remembrance Day,
00:06:20.780 this program joins with the Jews from all over the world
00:06:24.200 and solemnly remember what happens
00:06:27.460 when madmen are allowed to run countries.
00:06:33.120 We also stand shoulder to shoulder with Israel
00:06:36.660 and declare with Israel today,
00:06:39.800 you have a right to exist.
00:06:44.360 Jews have a right to live.
00:06:47.900 And we declare
00:06:49.440 never again
00:06:51.440 not on our watch.
00:06:54.100 It's Thursday, April 12th.
00:07:04.740 You're listening to the Glenn Beck Program.
00:07:06.560 I, uh...
00:07:20.200 Let me give you a couple of stories here
00:07:27.020 just so we can be sober
00:07:29.400 and stop talking about Stormy Daniels.
00:07:31.200 Please, for the love of Pete,
00:07:33.540 stop talking about Stormy Daniels.
00:07:35.040 Can we look at what we're facing?
00:07:41.900 This comes from The Federalist.
00:07:45.460 It's time for the United States to divorce
00:07:47.460 before things get dangerous.
00:07:51.600 Now,
00:07:53.500 Stu, could you just pull up
00:07:55.540 the Declaration of Independence for me real quick?
00:07:58.140 I can quote part of it.
00:07:59.980 But there is...
00:08:01.400 I mean, we really need to listen
00:08:02.620 to the Declaration of Independence.
00:08:04.440 All of it.
00:08:06.380 When, in the course of human events,
00:08:07.760 it becomes necessary for one people
00:08:09.260 to dissolve the political bands
00:08:11.080 which have connected them with one another,
00:08:14.140 The Federalist quotes
00:08:15.620 the Declaration of Independence.
00:08:19.840 Divorce is hard,
00:08:21.520 but it's easier than cutting the brake lines
00:08:23.920 on your wife's car.
00:08:25.060 It's long past time
00:08:27.500 for an amicable divorce
00:08:29.140 of the United States of America
00:08:30.940 because there is no common ground
00:08:33.400 left anymore.
00:08:35.440 We are now the couple
00:08:37.240 screaming at each other
00:08:38.680 all night, every night
00:08:39.880 as the kids hide in their room.
00:08:42.460 We cannot come together,
00:08:44.260 but we don't have to live like this.
00:08:46.600 The history of the world
00:08:48.000 is nations breaking up
00:08:49.520 and redrawing their borders.
00:08:50.900 If we want to avoid
00:08:52.560 this political divide
00:08:53.720 turning into a deadly one,
00:08:55.820 we should do likewise.
00:08:57.780 We're a nation hopelessly divided,
00:08:59.940 and we are more divided now
00:09:01.440 than we've ever been in our history.
00:09:03.340 And before you start screaming at me
00:09:04.740 about the Civil War,
00:09:06.000 keep in mind that the bloody conflict
00:09:07.660 was fought over one major issue.
00:09:10.960 In those days,
00:09:12.080 you took ten families from New York
00:09:14.000 and ten families from Alabama
00:09:15.540 and put them all in a room,
00:09:16.980 and you'd find that they had
00:09:18.860 mostly the same values.
00:09:22.780 But you fast forward today
00:09:23.980 and do the same thing.
00:09:24.920 These families have virtually
00:09:26.200 nothing in common.
00:09:28.000 We as a nation have polarized
00:09:29.780 and separated from each other.
00:09:32.760 Anyone who thinks
00:09:33.700 this is a radical idea
00:09:34.780 has an extremely narrow view
00:09:36.200 of history.
00:09:38.200 I've been claiming this idea
00:09:39.540 for a while,
00:09:40.220 and it appears others
00:09:40.860 are catching on.
00:09:41.560 Just last week,
00:09:42.200 a group of lawmakers
00:09:43.000 in South Carolina
00:09:43.840 introduced a bill
00:09:44.640 that would allow the state
00:09:45.740 to secede
00:09:46.620 if the federal government
00:09:48.280 started seizing guns.
00:09:50.380 Now, why would these lawmakers
00:09:51.580 even be worried
00:09:52.480 about such a thing?
00:09:54.400 Because Democrats
00:09:55.260 are saying it,
00:09:56.240 and it's not some hippie chick
00:09:57.460 with armpit hair
00:09:58.720 at a vegan rally.
00:10:00.060 When former justices
00:10:01.120 of the Supreme Court
00:10:02.040 calls for a repeal
00:10:03.020 of the Second Amendment,
00:10:03.960 the left
00:10:04.320 should be taken seriously.
00:10:07.660 The GOP has many problems,
00:10:09.540 but the Democratic Party
00:10:10.440 has turned into something
00:10:11.300 completely un-American.
00:10:12.840 This is the party
00:10:14.980 that booed
00:10:15.640 the very mention
00:10:16.440 of the word God
00:10:17.380 at their convention
00:10:18.100 in 2016.
00:10:19.440 The parties
00:10:19.880 whose candidates
00:10:21.200 openly joke
00:10:22.240 about killing anyone
00:10:23.280 who won't turn in
00:10:24.000 their weapons.
00:10:25.460 The senators joke
00:10:26.560 on national TV
00:10:28.140 about killing
00:10:28.900 the U.S. president,
00:10:30.120 and the host responds
00:10:31.120 by clapping like a seal.
00:10:33.320 If you believe in God
00:10:34.240 and limited government,
00:10:35.640 here are the entities
00:10:36.420 that now proclaim
00:10:38.100 their hatred of you
00:10:39.200 in full view
00:10:40.140 of the public.
00:10:41.000 The Democratic Party,
00:10:42.040 the media,
00:10:42.960 Hollywood,
00:10:43.600 the public education system,
00:10:45.140 and now even
00:10:45.820 corporate America.
00:10:47.240 The GOP may have
00:10:48.280 the House and the Senate
00:10:49.100 and the presidency,
00:10:50.060 but we have completely
00:10:51.000 lost the culture war.
00:10:52.780 It doesn't have to be this way.
00:10:54.840 It's difficult,
00:10:55.920 but ultimately peaceful.
00:10:58.400 A peaceful path
00:10:59.480 that ends with everyone
00:11:00.460 getting most
00:11:01.360 of what they want.
00:11:02.620 We divide the nation in two,
00:11:04.420 and we can and will
00:11:06.200 redraw the map
00:11:07.520 and argue over it
00:11:08.820 a million different ways
00:11:09.700 for a million different reasons,
00:11:10.860 but draw it,
00:11:11.680 we must.
00:11:21.520 Let me give you another one.
00:11:25.720 Soros
00:11:26.160 and MoveOn.org
00:11:28.260 are now promising
00:11:29.000 a massive protest
00:11:30.280 around the country.
00:11:34.320 Bank of America executives
00:11:36.060 have now said
00:11:38.920 that they are going
00:11:39.920 to stop loaning banks
00:11:41.740 to firearm manufacturers.
00:11:43.940 That is something
00:11:45.180 I warned you about.
00:11:47.720 There's only five
00:11:48.960 big banks.
00:11:51.260 And the fifth big bank
00:11:52.900 is, uh,
00:11:55.700 not Lehman Brothers,
00:11:56.800 uh,
00:11:57.260 uh,
00:11:57.620 Goldman Sachs.
00:11:58.500 I don't even think
00:12:00.140 of that as a bank.
00:12:02.400 That's how few
00:12:03.320 big banks we have now
00:12:04.780 because of the crash
00:12:05.560 of 08
00:12:06.060 and what the clowns
00:12:07.760 in Congress did.
00:12:10.300 You've got two
00:12:11.380 of the big five
00:12:12.820 now saying
00:12:13.360 we're not going
00:12:13.760 to make loans
00:12:14.460 to people who make guns.
00:12:17.920 You don't need
00:12:18.700 to repeal
00:12:19.120 the Second Amendment.
00:12:19.780 We have people
00:12:23.640 screaming at each other.
00:12:27.740 We have people
00:12:29.260 defining hate
00:12:30.520 in all different
00:12:32.040 kinds of ways.
00:12:34.460 There was a story
00:12:35.580 that I read today
00:12:36.640 about in Pampers.
00:12:39.160 People have been
00:12:39.980 stuffing these little
00:12:40.740 cards.
00:12:42.360 It's okay to be white.
00:12:45.260 Well, they're from, uh,
00:12:47.020 they're from an
00:12:47.640 identitarian group
00:12:48.840 here in America.
00:12:49.780 a neo-Nazi group
00:12:53.720 and they're starting
00:12:55.300 to pop up all over
00:12:56.180 and people are outraged.
00:12:57.260 Well, what about
00:12:57.700 the outrage
00:12:58.520 of the new mural
00:12:59.700 that is at the,
00:13:00.560 at USC?
00:13:02.120 At the campus
00:13:03.020 of the University
00:13:04.840 of South,
00:13:05.540 uh,
00:13:05.940 uh,
00:13:06.540 of, uh,
00:13:07.220 of South California,
00:13:08.700 Southern California.
00:13:12.240 There's a mural
00:13:13.120 that has just been up,
00:13:14.260 been put up
00:13:15.140 that says,
00:13:16.060 um,
00:13:16.600 dismantle
00:13:19.840 the whiteness.
00:13:23.820 What the hell
00:13:24.560 does that even mean?
00:13:26.880 I'm sorry.
00:13:29.220 I demand an answer.
00:13:30.860 What does that mean?
00:13:32.540 Because when I got
00:13:33.540 in trouble
00:13:34.140 for questioning
00:13:35.280 whether the president
00:13:36.580 has a problem
00:13:37.480 with white culture,
00:13:38.720 Little Miss Funny Pants,
00:13:43.480 uh,
00:13:44.100 what's-her-face,
00:13:45.120 Katie Couric,
00:13:46.040 tries to quarter me
00:13:47.920 and say,
00:13:48.460 what,
00:13:48.840 what do you mean
00:13:50.020 by white culture?
00:13:51.160 Trying to make
00:13:51.900 that sound
00:13:52.980 racist itself.
00:13:55.720 Well,
00:13:56.240 I don't know.
00:13:56.720 What is,
00:13:57.200 what does USC mean
00:13:58.320 by dismantle whiteness?
00:14:01.240 Because if I was racist
00:14:02.960 for questioning
00:14:04.340 if the president
00:14:05.740 had a problem
00:14:06.580 with the white culture
00:14:07.840 based on the words
00:14:09.000 on his book,
00:14:10.300 well then,
00:14:11.220 does anybody have a problem
00:14:13.100 with dismantle whiteness?
00:14:15.000 Does anybody think
00:14:15.960 that that might be racist?
00:14:18.060 Where are we headed, gang?
00:14:20.500 Where are we headed?
00:14:23.680 So there's something
00:14:24.600 really important
00:14:25.500 in the Declaration
00:14:26.200 of Independence.
00:14:27.140 Really important.
00:14:28.800 When in the course
00:14:29.560 of human events
00:14:30.340 it becomes necessary
00:14:31.220 for one people
00:14:31.900 to dissolve
00:14:32.360 the political bands
00:14:33.280 which have connected
00:14:34.200 them one to another
00:14:35.320 and to assume
00:14:36.300 among the powers
00:14:36.980 of the earth
00:14:37.340 the separate
00:14:38.120 and equal station
00:14:39.300 to which the laws
00:14:40.440 of nature
00:14:40.900 and nature's God
00:14:41.560 entitled them
00:14:42.220 a decent respect
00:14:43.200 to the opinions
00:14:43.940 of mankind
00:14:44.500 require that they
00:14:45.540 should declare
00:14:46.080 the causes
00:14:46.620 which impel them
00:14:47.880 to the separation.
00:14:50.000 So the first thing
00:14:51.140 they say is,
00:14:51.940 look,
00:14:52.120 if we want to separate
00:14:53.160 we have to tell you
00:14:54.560 why.
00:14:56.580 Why do we want
00:14:57.640 to separate?
00:14:58.100 And this is the part
00:15:01.960 that we all know
00:15:03.920 we hold these truths
00:15:06.120 to be self-evident
00:15:06.720 we all know
00:15:08.160 but we don't know
00:15:11.000 the words
00:15:11.760 after those
00:15:13.400 and anybody
00:15:16.540 who is saying
00:15:17.140 burn it down
00:15:17.680 anybody who is saying
00:15:18.700 we should split
00:15:19.560 let's go over
00:15:22.580 the Declaration
00:15:23.720 of Independence
00:15:24.480 for just a second
00:15:25.820 because you have
00:15:28.580 a God-given right
00:15:29.700 but you also have
00:15:31.620 a God-given
00:15:32.500 responsibility
00:15:33.460 and it's laid out
00:15:35.340 in the Declaration
00:15:36.140 of Independence.
00:15:37.680 We go there next.
00:15:38.900 Just a quick point
00:15:46.580 of clarification
00:15:47.200 Is Katie Kirk
00:15:49.220 known as
00:15:49.740 Little Miss Funny Pants?
00:15:51.000 Is that a thing
00:15:51.600 that I've missed?
00:15:53.040 She is to me.
00:15:53.700 Okay.
00:15:54.280 She's little
00:15:54.920 she wears funny pants.
00:15:57.820 Just wanted to make sure
00:15:58.380 I just missed something
00:16:00.240 and that's
00:16:00.620 you know
00:16:00.860 that happens
00:16:01.280 at times.
00:16:04.040 Tax season is here
00:16:05.160 identity thieves
00:16:06.260 are at it again.
00:16:07.120 According to the IRS
00:16:08.320 they're filing
00:16:08.940 fake tax returns
00:16:10.120 with stolen
00:16:10.560 personal information
00:16:11.420 like social security
00:16:12.580 numbers.
00:16:13.500 We're all vulnerable.
00:16:14.620 The southwest
00:16:15.060 is probably
00:16:17.200 the worst region
00:16:18.260 for identity theft
00:16:20.120 and you know
00:16:21.080 it basically
00:16:21.840 comes from Nevada
00:16:22.660 but all good things
00:16:23.540 come from Nevada.
00:16:24.760 You know what I mean?
00:16:25.240 Identity theft?
00:16:26.140 Hookers?
00:16:26.800 I mean what else
00:16:27.420 do you want?
00:16:28.500 Tax fraud
00:16:29.180 might be at the top
00:16:30.000 of your mind
00:16:30.540 right now
00:16:31.120 but you
00:16:32.660 you have to realize
00:16:34.420 that this is happening
00:16:35.220 year-round
00:16:36.120 identity theft.
00:16:37.260 So many threats
00:16:38.020 because we're all connected
00:16:39.320 and if there's
00:16:40.300 one weak link
00:16:41.440 in the chain
00:16:42.140 it all goes away.
00:16:44.520 That's why
00:16:44.920 the new
00:16:45.520 LifeLock Identity
00:16:46.600 Theft Protection
00:16:47.300 adds the power
00:16:48.260 of Norton Security.
00:16:49.660 It will help you
00:16:50.160 protect against
00:16:50.820 the threats
00:16:51.280 of your identity
00:16:52.060 and your devices
00:16:53.080 that you can't
00:16:54.400 easily see
00:16:55.100 or fix on your own.
00:16:56.360 So if you have
00:16:56.800 a problem
00:16:57.340 they have the agents
00:16:58.520 that are going to
00:16:58.940 work to fix it
00:16:59.900 because that's the thing
00:17:00.740 that I mean
00:17:01.300 I can't only
00:17:01.860 I can't watch
00:17:03.180 and find out
00:17:04.380 if somebody
00:17:04.920 is trying to get in
00:17:05.700 but I also
00:17:06.900 if they do
00:17:07.560 can't fix it myself.
00:17:09.380 Now nobody can stop
00:17:10.500 all cyber threats
00:17:11.240 prevent all identity theft
00:17:12.340 or monitor all transactions
00:17:13.380 at all businesses
00:17:14.040 but LifeLock
00:17:14.880 with new Norton Security
00:17:16.300 is able to uncover
00:17:17.700 the threats
00:17:18.160 that you might
00:17:18.520 otherwise miss.
00:17:19.260 So go to

00:17:38.320 Glenn Beck Mercury
00:17:40.720 Glenn Beck
00:17:46.680 How much of the
00:17:48.120 Declaration of Independence
00:17:49.160 do you actually know?
00:17:51.200 As people now
00:17:51.980 are starting to say
00:17:52.860 hey we should
00:17:53.660 separate ourselves.
00:17:56.180 We all know
00:17:57.240 it starts with
00:17:58.520 when in the course
00:17:59.260 of human events
00:17:59.840 it becomes necessary
00:18:00.580 for one people
00:18:01.120 to dissolve the
00:18:01.640 political bands
00:18:02.280 which have connected
00:18:02.880 them from one another
00:18:03.860 it basically says
00:18:05.040 we have to declare
00:18:06.020 why we want to
00:18:07.260 separate ourselves
00:18:08.120 and so what do they do?
00:18:09.740 They don't start
00:18:10.360 with the problems
00:18:11.200 they start with
00:18:12.260 what they believe in.
00:18:13.860 We hold these truths
00:18:15.180 to be self-evident
00:18:16.160 that all men
00:18:17.460 are created equal
00:18:18.880 and they're endowed
00:18:20.060 by their creator
00:18:21.000 with certain
00:18:21.780 unalienable
00:18:22.760 unchangeable rights
00:18:24.680 that among these
00:18:25.920 are life
00:18:26.540 liberty
00:18:27.040 and property
00:18:28.460 is the original word
00:18:30.100 that to secure
00:18:31.360 these rights
00:18:32.080 governments are
00:18:32.840 instituted among men
00:18:33.920 wait a minute
00:18:34.420 hold it
00:18:35.040 that to secure
00:18:36.660 these rights
00:18:37.660 which rights?
00:18:39.400 That all men
00:18:39.960 are created equal
00:18:40.700 and endowed with
00:18:42.400 life, liberty
00:18:42.940 and the pursuit
00:18:43.380 of happiness
00:18:43.900 among those rights
00:18:45.840 that to secure
00:18:47.600 these rights
00:18:48.280 governments are
00:18:48.900 instituted among men
00:18:50.320 so in other words
00:18:51.840 government
00:18:52.480 is only there
00:18:54.400 to protect
00:18:55.420 the rights
00:18:56.340 of mankind
00:18:57.260 they derive
00:19:00.640 their just powers
00:19:01.600 the government
00:19:02.160 from the consent
00:19:03.340 of the governed
00:19:04.140 they don't have
00:19:05.720 any power
00:19:06.320 unless we give it
00:19:07.760 to them
00:19:08.260 and
00:19:09.560 that when
00:19:10.920 any form of
00:19:11.840 government
00:19:12.180 becomes destructive
00:19:13.300 to the ends
00:19:14.140 it is the right
00:19:15.280 of the people
00:19:16.120 to alter
00:19:16.800 or abolish it
00:19:18.140 now that's the part
00:19:20.040 where everybody
00:19:20.560 just stops
00:19:21.400 usually
00:19:21.960 I got it
00:19:23.120 in the Declaration
00:19:23.720 of Independence
00:19:24.320 they're going
00:19:25.320 after our rights
00:19:26.340 we have a right
00:19:27.720 to abolish it
00:19:28.760 or alter it
00:19:31.180 but there's
00:19:33.660 a comma there
00:19:34.540 it's not a period
00:19:36.680 do you know
00:19:39.800 what it says
00:19:40.520 because this is
00:19:41.580 an instruction manual
00:19:42.760 the Declaration
00:19:44.700 of Independence
00:19:45.460 this is our
00:19:46.400 instruction manual
00:19:47.480 this is what
00:19:48.760 tells us
00:19:49.860 what to do
00:19:51.280 when things
00:19:52.400 get really
00:19:53.400 really bad
00:19:54.540 what is the threshold
00:19:56.320 what do you do
00:19:58.500 and how do you do it
00:20:00.580 I'm going to pick it up
00:20:02.840 after the comma
00:20:04.120 when we come back
00:20:06.240 Glenn Beck
00:20:21.900 Mercury
00:20:23.020 this is the Glenn Beck
00:20:30.640 program
00:20:31.000 we have not struck
00:20:33.340 Syria
00:20:34.300 yet
00:20:35.200 which means
00:20:36.400 we're taking this
00:20:38.960 seriously
00:20:39.700 I told you yesterday
00:20:40.620 that Russia
00:20:41.980 on their evening news
00:20:43.820 they were told
00:20:45.360 we're on
00:20:46.280 the possible eve
00:20:47.620 of nuclear war
00:20:48.900 with the United States
00:20:49.860 and here are the foods
00:20:50.780 things
00:20:51.140 the food storage
00:20:52.080 that you need
00:20:52.700 grab these things
00:20:53.860 if we alert you
00:20:54.720 don't panic
00:20:55.720 just get to a fallout shelter
00:20:57.040 I mean that's how seriously
00:20:58.800 they're taking it
00:20:59.780 I am happy to say
00:21:02.380 it appears that the
00:21:03.380 administration is taking
00:21:04.380 it that seriously
00:21:05.180 as well
00:21:05.780 we're developing
00:21:06.740 a coalition
00:21:07.440 which you don't
00:21:08.500 usually do
00:21:09.060 just for a strike
00:21:10.140 which concerns me
00:21:11.540 yesterday
00:21:12.700 Vladimir Putin
00:21:13.680 begged Israel
00:21:15.300 not to join
00:21:16.340 that coalition
00:21:17.580 but Benjamin
00:21:18.600 Netanyahu
00:21:19.540 quoted
00:21:20.980 the leader
00:21:22.580 of the
00:21:23.220 Iranian guard
00:21:24.380 that is in
00:21:26.060 Syria
00:21:26.520 about talking
00:21:27.220 about how
00:21:27.720 the 12th
00:21:28.280 the mom
00:21:28.680 is about ready
00:21:29.560 to come
00:21:30.040 because we
00:21:31.360 have almost
00:21:32.440 completed our
00:21:33.160 encirclement
00:21:33.780 of Israel
00:21:34.380 and it will be
00:21:35.140 destroyed soon
00:21:36.040 this is what's
00:21:37.720 going on
00:21:38.280 this is how
00:21:39.000 serious things
00:21:39.960 are
00:21:40.300 and in our
00:21:40.960 own country
00:21:41.600 we are divided
00:21:42.720 by politics
00:21:43.980 I don't believe
00:21:45.040 we're divided
00:21:45.620 by principle
00:21:46.280 now maybe we
00:21:47.460 are
00:21:47.840 but I don't
00:21:49.440 think anybody's
00:21:49.960 even talking
00:21:50.580 about principles
00:21:51.400 there are people
00:21:53.540 that want to
00:21:54.400 that say
00:21:55.700 they're anarchists
00:21:56.900 okay
00:21:57.400 great
00:21:58.080 tell me
00:22:00.060 what that
00:22:00.660 means
00:22:01.420 tell me
00:22:02.800 what you
00:22:03.260 replace it
00:22:04.200 with
00:22:04.580 you're
00:22:05.580 completely
00:22:06.220 irresponsible
00:22:07.300 and quite
00:22:07.980 honestly
00:22:08.380 I put you
00:22:09.400 into the
00:22:09.960 category
00:22:10.460 of an
00:22:11.280 enemy
00:22:11.780 of mankind
00:22:12.660 if you
00:22:13.920 can't
00:22:14.440 tell me
00:22:15.160 what you're
00:22:16.200 going to
00:22:16.700 replace it
00:22:17.360 with
00:22:17.740 the declaration
00:22:22.080 of independence
00:22:22.660 we hold
00:22:23.040 these truths
00:22:23.720 to be
00:22:24.040 self-evident
00:22:24.540 that's what
00:22:24.960 they were
00:22:25.200 saying
00:22:25.560 look
00:22:25.980 we think
00:22:26.880 this is
00:22:27.340 a problem
00:22:27.920 but before
00:22:29.220 we tell
00:22:29.680 you out
00:22:30.040 all the
00:22:30.320 problems
00:22:30.640 of why
00:22:30.920 we think
00:22:31.300 we need
00:22:31.620 to break
00:22:31.980 away
00:22:32.200 from
00:22:32.440 Great
00:22:32.700 Britain
00:22:33.020 we have
00:22:34.180 to tell
00:22:34.560 you
00:22:34.740 what we
00:22:35.080 believe
00:22:35.420 in
00:22:35.760 we believe
00:22:37.100 these
00:22:37.500 things
00:22:37.860 are
00:22:38.040 absolutely
00:22:38.700 universally
00:22:39.580 never
00:22:40.220 changing
00:22:40.780 truths
00:22:41.460 that all
00:22:42.320 men are
00:22:42.760 created
00:22:43.100 equal
00:22:43.460 we're
00:22:43.740 all
00:22:43.920 the
00:22:44.100 same
00:22:44.520 and
00:22:44.980 we're
00:22:45.160 born
00:22:45.720 the
00:22:46.220 same
00:22:46.760 and
00:22:47.320 God
00:22:47.620 gives
00:22:47.940 all
00:22:48.380 of us
00:22:48.720 the
00:22:48.920 same
00:22:49.400 rights
00:22:50.000 and
00:22:50.560 government
00:22:51.280 is

00:23:32.180 with
00:23:32.440 the

00:23:43.680 it

00:23:45.360 to
00:23:45.580 alter
00:23:45.980 or
00:23:46.620 abolish
00:23:47.260 it
00:23:47.520 comma
00:23:48.340 and

00:23:50.920 a
00:23:51.500 new
00:23:51.780 government
00:23:52.360 laying

00:23:53.300 foundation
00:23:53.800 on
00:23:54.120 such
00:23:54.460 principles
00:23:55.220 and
00:23:55.520 organizing
00:23:56.060 powers
00:23:56.800 in
00:23:57.140 such
00:23:57.400 of
00:23:57.540 a
00:23:57.700 form
00:23:58.040 as
00:23:58.700 as
00:23:59.600 to
00:23:59.800 them
00:24:00.080 shall
00:24:00.320 seem
00:24:00.640 most
00:24:01.000 likely
00:24:01.420 to
00:24:01.660 affect
00:24:01.980 their
00:24:02.180 safety
00:24:02.680 and
00:24:02.980 happiness
00:24:03.460 and
00:24:04.060 by
00:24:04.240 the
00:24:04.320 way
00:24:04.440 it's
00:24:04.580 not
00:24:04.760 your
00:24:05.080 safety
00:24:05.500 it's
00:24:06.940 the
00:24:07.120 safety
00:24:07.440 of
00:24:07.680 those
00:24:07.900 rights
00:24:08.400 so
00:24:10.660 you
00:24:10.900 have
00:24:11.240 a
00:24:11.440 right
00:24:11.800 but
00:24:12.440 you
00:24:12.660 have
00:24:13.200 to
00:24:13.420 tell
00:24:13.800 us
00:24:14.040 what
00:24:14.560 you're
00:24:15.060 going
00:24:15.420 to
00:24:15.700 do
00:24:16.140 that
00:24:16.680 will
00:24:16.840 be
00:24:17.020 better
00:24:17.440 than
00:24:17.720 this
00:24:18.080 government
00:24:18.480 to
00:24:18.740 protect
00:24:19.220 those
00:24:19.620 rights
00:24:20.200 and
00:24:24.580 then
00:24:24.680 goes
00:24:24.880 on
00:24:25.060 and says
00:24:25.240 you know
00:24:25.640 prudence
00:24:26.100 prudence
00:24:26.760 indeed
00:24:27.400 will
00:24:27.580 dictate
00:24:27.860 that
00:24:28.060 governments
00:24:28.400 long
00:24:28.660 established
00:24:29.020 should
00:24:29.240 not
00:24:29.360 be
00:24:29.520 changed
00:24:29.900 for
00:24:30.080 light
00:24:30.340 and
00:24:30.520 transient
00:24:30.960 causes
00:24:31.520 light
00:24:35.260 and
00:24:35.460 transient
00:24:35.880 causes
00:24:36.740 I don't
00:24:38.960 know
00:24:39.100 stormy
00:24:39.560 Daniels
00:24:40.020 might be
00:24:40.360 a light
00:24:40.760 and
00:24:40.920 transient
00:24:41.520 cause
00:24:42.120 Jeremiah
00:24:44.120 right
00:24:44.600 might be
00:24:45.060 a
00:24:45.340 might be
00:24:46.680 a
00:24:46.960 light
00:24:47.900 and
00:24:48.120 transient
00:24:48.560 cause
00:24:49.120 accordingly
00:24:53.580 all
00:24:53.880 experience
00:24:54.400 has
00:24:54.640 shown
00:24:54.920 that
00:24:55.120 mankind
00:24:55.540 is
00:24:56.060 more
00:24:56.440 disposed
00:24:57.060 to
00:24:57.300 suffer
00:24:57.820 while
00:24:58.620 the
00:24:58.820 evils
00:24:59.260 are
00:24:59.580 sufferable
00:25:00.320 than
00:25:00.960 right
00:25:01.280 themselves
00:25:01.840 by
00:25:02.160 abolishing
00:25:02.720 the
00:25:02.920 forms
00:25:03.200 to
00:25:03.360 which
00:25:03.500 they're
00:25:03.740 accustomed
00:25:04.140 we
00:25:05.180 all
00:25:05.460 know
00:25:05.720 the
00:25:05.940 media
00:25:06.240 is
00:25:06.540 a
00:25:06.680 problem
00:25:07.000 we
00:25:07.260 all
00:25:07.500 know
00:25:07.800 that
00:25:08.020 Facebook
00:25:08.400 is
00:25:08.700 a
00:25:08.820 problem
00:25:09.140 but
00:25:09.600 you're
00:25:09.800 not
00:25:09.980 going
00:25:10.100 to
00:25:10.200 do
00:25:10.340 anything
00:25:10.640 you're
00:25:10.840 not
00:25:10.940 going
00:25:11.040 to
00:25:11.120 get
00:25:11.240 off
00:25:11.440 of
00:25:11.580 Facebook
00:25:11.980 you're
00:25:12.940 not
00:25:13.060 going
00:25:13.180 to
00:25:13.280 do
00:25:13.500 it
00:25:13.780 because
00:25:14.880 it
00:25:15.380 will
00:25:15.500 make
00:25:15.720 you
00:25:15.860 uncomfortable
00:25:16.340 it'll
00:25:16.780 make
00:25:17.040 your
00:25:17.220 you're
00:25:17.560 accustomed
00:25:18.000 to
00:25:18.380 it
00:25:18.660 it'll
00:25:20.840 be
00:25:21.020 harder
00:25:21.520 to
00:25:21.740 come
00:25:21.920 off
00:25:22.260 of
00:25:22.420 it
00:25:22.720 so
00:25:23.680 you
00:25:23.820 don't
00:25:24.040 do
00:25:24.240 it
00:25:24.520 and
00:25:25.520 that's
00:25:25.820 normal
00:25:26.400 that's
00:25:26.980 natural
00:25:27.720 but
00:25:30.260 the
00:25:31.520 declaration
00:25:32.000 says
00:25:32.600 when
00:25:34.140 you get
00:25:34.540 to a
00:25:34.920 point
00:25:35.240 of
00:25:35.540 of
00:25:36.160 utter
00:25:36.700 absolute
00:25:37.640 despotism
00:25:38.820 utter
00:25:40.020 absolute
00:25:41.340 despotism
00:25:42.760 wow
00:25:44.220 are we
00:25:44.580 living
00:25:44.860 under
00:25:45.200 absolute
00:25:46.440 despotism
00:25:47.420 when
00:25:50.080 you
00:25:50.400 find
00:25:50.900 yourself
00:25:51.440 in
00:25:51.940 in
00:25:52.580 utter
00:25:52.940 absolute
00:25:53.660 despotism
00:25:54.660 it
00:25:55.380 is
00:25:55.920 the
00:25:56.160 people's
00:25:56.740 right
00:25:57.260 comma
00:25:58.460 it
00:25:59.300 is
00:25:59.760 their
00:26:00.140 duty
00:26:00.860 why
00:26:01.740 would
00:26:01.900 it
00:26:02.000 be
00:26:02.100 their
00:26:02.280 duty
00:26:02.580 to
00:26:05.180 throw
00:26:05.560 off
00:26:05.880 such
00:26:06.220 government
00:26:06.800 comma
00:26:07.800 wait
00:26:08.400 why
00:26:08.780 is it
00:26:09.020 their
00:26:09.160 duty
00:26:09.480 to
00:26:10.240 throw
00:26:10.480 off
00:26:10.680 the
00:26:10.820 government
00:26:11.180 because
00:26:12.780 they're
00:26:13.420 not
00:26:13.680 talking
00:26:14.180 about
00:26:14.700 you
00:26:15.360 they're
00:26:16.240 not
00:26:16.420 talking
00:26:16.820 about
00:26:17.180 the
00:26:17.560 self
00:26:17.960 centered
00:26:18.400 little
00:26:18.780 me
00:26:19.400 they're
00:26:20.720 talking
00:26:21.120 about
00:26:21.580 the
00:26:21.960 rights
00:26:22.620 of
00:26:23.060 all
00:26:23.520 mankind
00:26:24.180 when
00:26:25.800 will
00:26:26.020 someone
00:26:26.400 begin
00:26:26.720 to
00:26:26.960 articulate
00:26:27.580 in
00:26:28.020 this
00:26:28.260 nation
00:26:28.780 that
00:26:29.320 we
00:26:29.580 have
00:26:29.900 a
00:26:30.060 responsibility
00:26:30.840 not
00:26:31.340 to
00:26:31.560 ourselves
00:26:32.280 we
00:26:33.280 have
00:26:33.400 a
00:26:33.500 responsibility
00:26:34.040 not
00:26:34.560 to
00:26:34.820 oh
00:26:35.260 you
00:26:35.460 know
00:26:35.660 but
00:26:36.040 I
00:26:36.220 want
00:26:36.500 that
00:26:36.680 new
00:26:36.880 car
00:26:37.280 I
00:26:37.820 want
00:26:38.220 a
00:26:38.380 higher
00:26:38.740 paying
00:26:39.720 salary
00:26:40.260 what
00:26:41.820 are you
00:26:42.020 doing
00:26:42.480 what
00:26:42.880 are
00:26:42.980 all
00:26:43.200 of
00:26:43.300 us
00:26:43.460 doing
00:26:43.780 what
00:26:44.000 are
00:26:44.060 we
00:26:44.160 doing
00:26:44.600 every
00:26:44.920 day
00:26:45.180 when
00:26:45.360 we
00:26:45.520 get
00:26:45.740 up
00:26:46.020 that
00:26:49.560 is
00:26:51.580 because
00:26:51.920 we're
00:26:52.220 accustomed
00:26:53.000 to
00:26:54.060 thinking
00:26:54.380 that
00:26:54.680 way
00:26:55.060 we
00:26:55.880 will
00:26:56.200 live
00:26:56.820 in
00:26:57.920 uncomfortable
00:26:58.900 not
00:27:01.140 absolute
00:27:01.760 but
00:27:02.400 uncomfortable
00:27:03.400 despotism
00:27:05.300 for a
00:27:06.280 very long
00:27:07.000 time
00:27:07.500 we'll
00:27:08.200 suffer
00:27:08.640 through
00:27:09.020 it
00:27:09.360 because
00:27:11.640 I don't
00:27:12.860 want
00:27:13.060 to try
00:27:13.980 I'm
00:27:14.440 tired
00:27:14.860 I don't
00:27:15.920 want
00:27:16.020 any
00:27:16.140 trouble
00:27:16.460 that's
00:27:18.120 normal
00:27:18.480 it's
00:27:21.200 our
00:27:21.360 right
00:27:21.780 it's
00:27:22.400 our
00:27:22.760 duty
00:27:23.540 to
00:27:24.960 throw
00:27:25.380 off
00:27:25.800 those
00:27:26.220 governments
00:27:26.820 comma
00:27:28.680 and
00:27:30.200 to
00:27:30.460 provide
00:27:31.020 new
00:27:31.900 guards
00:27:32.540 for
00:27:33.180 their
00:27:33.460 future
00:27:33.920 security
00:27:34.600 so
00:27:36.800 before
00:27:37.120 anybody
00:27:37.460 says
00:27:37.960 to
00:27:38.200 me
00:27:38.600 hey
00:27:39.020 we
00:27:39.200 should
00:27:39.380 break
00:27:39.660 away
00:27:40.120 anybody
00:27:41.240 says
00:27:41.800 I'm
00:27:42.320 a
00:27:42.540 I'm
00:27:43.080 a
00:27:43.420 socialistic
00:27:45.060 anarchist
00:27:45.920 I'm
00:27:46.420 a
00:27:46.640 I'm
00:27:47.000 a
00:27:47.580 anarcho
00:27:48.920 capitalist
00:27:49.460 tell me
00:27:51.900 what that
00:27:52.180 means
00:27:52.500 in
00:27:53.760 specifics
00:27:54.600 what
00:27:55.560 does
00:27:55.800 that
00:27:56.020 mean
00:27:56.360 you
00:27:59.000 go to
00:27:59.280 any
00:27:59.460 college
00:27:59.820 campus
00:28:00.160 and I
00:28:00.380 can
00:28:00.540 guarantee
00:28:01.200 you
00:28:01.600 these
00:28:01.860 boobs
00:28:02.320 have
00:28:02.600 no
00:28:03.000 idea
00:28:03.500 and
00:28:04.440 if
00:28:04.560 they
00:28:04.700 start
00:28:05.160 quoting
00:28:06.180 French
00:28:07.320 philosophers
00:28:07.980 you
00:28:08.480 might
00:28:08.680 want
00:28:08.880 to
00:28:09.000 remind
00:28:09.420 them
00:28:09.560 about
00:28:09.820 the
00:28:10.060 guillotine
00:28:10.940 revolutions
00:28:14.040 start
00:28:14.800 all the
00:28:15.120 time
00:28:15.500 but
00:28:16.240 they
00:28:16.420 don't
00:28:16.740 usually
00:28:17.200 end
00:28:18.040 with
00:28:18.300 the
00:28:18.440 people
00:28:18.700 who
00:28:18.920 started
00:28:19.440 them
00:28:19.820 the
00:28:21.020 United
00:28:21.340 States
00:28:21.940 is
00:28:22.480 the
00:28:22.760 one
00:28:23.340 shining
00:28:23.860 example
00:28:24.600 where
00:28:25.900 it
00:28:26.080 worked
00:28:26.720 because
00:28:29.520 everybody
00:28:30.240 can
00:28:30.720 gather
00:28:31.780 around
00:28:32.260 on the
00:28:32.540 long
00:28:32.820 train
00:28:33.140 of
00:28:33.300 abuses
00:28:33.760 oh
00:28:34.600 my
00:28:34.760 gosh
00:28:35.000 look

00:28:35.580 done
00:28:35.900 look
00:28:36.520 what
00:28:36.680 they're
00:28:36.860 doing
00:28:37.200 we're
00:28:38.260 all
00:28:38.440 pissed
00:28:38.740 about
00:28:39.000 something
00:28:39.540 and
00:28:40.340 have
00:28:40.460 you
00:28:40.560 noticed
00:28:40.940 we're
00:28:41.340 all
00:28:41.520 starting
00:28:41.820 to
00:28:42.040 agree
00:28:42.360 on
00:28:42.600 what
00:28:42.740 we're
00:28:42.940 pissed
00:28:43.220 about
00:28:43.600 we may
00:28:46.240 have

00:28:48.020 on
00:28:48.760 who's
00:28:49.480 doing
00:28:49.840 that
00:28:50.260 fake
00:28:51.300 news
00:28:51.700 do you
00:28:52.400 notice
00:28:52.620 both
00:28:52.840 sides
00:28:53.040 are
00:28:53.160 saying
00:28:53.380 it
00:28:53.740 both
00:28:54.880 sides
00:28:55.120 we're
00:28:56.080 all
00:28:56.300 pissed
00:28:56.600 off
00:28:56.860 about

00:28:57.400 news
00:28:57.820 we're
00:28:59.360 all
00:28:59.540 pissed
00:28:59.800 off
00:29:00.040 about
00:29:00.220 the
00:29:00.400 wars
00:29:00.800 we're
00:29:01.400 all
00:29:01.640 pissed
00:29:01.920 about

00:29:03.160 much
00:29:03.420 too
00:29:03.640 little
00:29:03.980 not
00:29:04.840 enough
00:29:05.160 corruption
00:29:05.800 banks
00:29:06.860 we're
00:29:08.220 all
00:29:08.460 pissed
00:29:08.740 off
00:29:08.960 about
00:29:09.220 it
00:29:09.440 can
00:29:10.600 you
00:29:10.720 tell
00:29:10.880 me
00:29:11.120 what
00:29:12.820 our
00:29:12.960 unum
00:29:13.240 is
00:29:13.480 can
00:29:13.940 you
00:29:14.060 tell
00:29:14.220 me
00:29:14.460 what
00:29:15.520 the
00:29:15.680 principle
00:29:16.020 is
00:29:16.320 that's
00:29:16.600 driving
00:29:16.880 us
00:29:17.180 because
00:29:18.360 I'm
00:29:18.600 tired
00:29:18.880 of being
00:29:19.200 pissed
00:29:19.560 every
00:29:19.780 day
00:29:20.000 I'm
00:29:20.660 tired
00:29:20.900 of
00:29:21.060 coming
00:29:21.280 in
00:29:21.460 every
00:29:21.640 day
00:29:21.820 and
00:29:21.940 going
00:29:22.080 yep
00:29:22.680 look
00:29:23.000 how
00:29:23.160 bad
00:29:23.380 it
00:29:23.500 is
00:29:23.800 yep
00:29:24.140 look
00:29:24.540 what
00:29:24.640 that
00:29:24.780 guy
00:29:24.920 oh
00:29:25.160 Paul
00:29:25.420 Ryan
00:29:25.760 oh
00:29:26.240 Paul
00:29:26.500 Ryan
00:29:26.840 he
00:29:27.220 resigned
00:29:27.720 now
00:29:28.080 I
00:29:28.220 could
00:29:28.340 go
00:29:28.500 and
00:29:28.640 do
00:29:28.780 I
00:29:29.140 could
00:29:29.260 do
00:29:29.340 a
00:29:35.160 list
00:29:35.360 down
00:29:35.640 the
00:29:35.840 river
00:29:36.100 you
00:29:36.760 yourself
00:29:37.540 became
00:29:38.520 a
00:29:38.880 dictator
00:29:39.600 the
00:29:40.380 four
00:29:40.860 of
00:29:41.080 you
00:29:41.320 the
00:29:41.960 leadership
00:29:42.520 you
00:29:43.580 all
00:29:43.840 got
00:29:44.080 together
00:29:44.500 you
00:29:45.040 destroyed
00:29:45.820 our
00:29:46.220 system
00:29:46.800 and
00:29:47.380 now
00:29:47.800 you
00:29:48.440 know
00:29:48.780 that
00:29:49.000 things
00:29:49.280 are
00:29:49.480 so
00:29:49.980 bad
00:29:50.580 that
00:29:51.800 you're
00:29:52.020 all
00:29:52.240 evacuating
00:29:53.120 all
00:29:53.740 of
00:29:53.880 you
00:29:54.060 what
00:29:54.620 is
00:29:54.720 it
00:29:54.840 32
00:29:55.280 people
00:29:55.720 are
00:29:55.920 resigning
00:29:56.260 from
00:29:56.480 the
00:29:56.620 GOP
00:29:57.040 the
00:29:57.460 largest
00:29:58.000 since
00:29:58.600 1930
00:29:59.720 1930
00:30:00.760 why
00:30:03.500 is
00:30:03.760 that
00:30:04.080 because
00:30:04.500 they
00:30:04.860 know
00:30:05.500 get
00:30:07.040 while
00:30:07.280 the
00:30:07.480 getting
00:30:07.760 is
00:30:08.000 good
00:30:08.420 and
00:30:09.500 you're
00:30:09.660 leaving
00:30:09.900 us
00:30:10.180 with
00:30:10.320 a
00:30:10.420 bag
00:30:10.800 thank
00:30:11.660 you
00:30:11.940 after
00:30:12.460 you've
00:30:12.780 enriched
00:30:13.200 yourself
00:30:13.900 thank
00:30:14.660 you
00:30:14.840 now
00:30:15.040 I
00:30:15.200 could
00:30:15.340 go
00:30:15.540 on
00:30:15.840 and
00:30:16.080 on
00:30:16.400 and
00:30:16.660 on
00:30:17.040 about
00:30:17.380 that
00:30:17.740 but
00:30:17.960 what
00:30:20.140 does
00:30:20.360 it
00:30:20.520 matter
00:30:20.900 what
00:30:23.280 does
00:30:23.520 it
00:30:23.700 matter
00:30:24.060 if
00:30:24.340 we
00:30:24.500 don't
00:30:25.040 all
00:30:25.500 come
00:30:25.840 together
00:30:26.300 and
00:30:26.600 say
00:30:26.980 e
00:30:28.140 pluribus
00:30:28.800 unum
00:30:29.160 from
00:30:29.800 many
00:30:30.340 one
00:30:31.740 we
00:30:33.520 are
00:30:33.820 from
00:30:34.220 many
00:30:34.760 many
00:30:35.700 celebrate
00:30:36.640 diversity
00:30:37.560 find
00:30:38.600 one
00:30:39.460 thing
00:30:40.400 that we
00:30:41.060 stand
00:30:41.680 for
00:30:42.140 what
00:30:42.660 is
00:30:42.960 it
00:30:43.360 well
00:30:44.500 we
00:30:44.660 don't
00:30:44.920 torture
00:30:45.220 yes
00:30:45.580 we
00:30:45.760 do
00:30:46.080 we
00:30:46.880 lie
00:30:47.240 about
00:30:47.560 it
00:30:47.900 well
00:30:49.760 we
00:30:50.000 don't
00:30:50.320 do
00:30:50.540 it
00:30:50.780 oh
00:30:51.620 oh
00:30:53.160 okay
00:30:53.760 if I
00:30:55.060 may quote
00:30:55.560 Thomas Jefferson
00:30:56.320 because I
00:30:56.940 know
00:30:57.320 the Lord
00:30:58.120 is
00:30:58.400 just
00:30:59.020 I
00:30:59.460 tremble
00:31:00.200 for
00:31:00.440 my
00:31:00.680 country
00:31:01.120 here's
00:31:05.520 what
00:31:05.800 we
00:31:06.040 agree
00:31:06.460 on
00:31:06.820 this
00:31:08.260 is
00:31:08.660 what
00:31:08.880 brings
00:31:09.280 us
00:31:09.520 together
00:31:10.000 and
00:31:12.300 we
00:31:12.460 can
00:31:12.680 nibble
00:31:13.680 all
00:31:14.040 around
00:31:14.380 the
00:31:14.600 sides
00:31:15.060 but
00:31:15.580 it
00:31:15.740 is
00:31:15.900 about
00:31:16.280 time
00:31:16.740 that
00:31:17.120 we
00:31:17.300 come
00:31:17.700 together
00:31:18.220 we
00:31:18.920 hold
00:31:19.600 these
00:31:20.220 truths
00:31:20.860 to be
00:31:21.340 self
00:31:21.700 evident
00:31:22.060 that
00:31:22.700 all
00:31:23.240 men
00:31:23.880 are
00:31:24.240 created
00:31:24.740 equal
00:31:25.140 if I
00:31:25.780 may

00:31:26.580 Martin
00:31:27.060 Luther
00:31:27.360 King
00:31:27.920 damn
00:31:28.640 it
00:31:28.840 America
00:31:29.420 it's
00:31:30.200 time
00:31:30.600 for
00:31:30.900 you
00:31:31.200 just
00:31:31.780 to
00:31:32.140 live
00:31:32.400 up
00:31:32.700 to
00:31:33.040 those
00:31:33.440 words
00:31:34.020 do
00:31:34.800 you
00:31:34.980 know
00:31:35.280 how
00:31:35.580 long
00:31:35.960 of
00:31:36.080 a
00:31:36.220 life
00:31:36.540 we
00:31:36.760 could
00:31:36.980 have
00:31:37.320 as
00:31:37.500 a
00:31:37.640 country
00:31:38.040 before
00:31:38.800 we
00:31:39.260 have
00:31:39.600 to
00:31:39.760 go
00:31:39.920 to
00:31:40.120 war
00:31:40.420 with
00:31:40.640 each
00:31:40.880 other
00:31:41.140 if
00:31:41.680 we
00:31:41.860 would
00:31:42.080 just
00:31:42.760 embrace
00:31:43.680 those
00:31:44.440 words
00:31:45.180 all
00:31:46.140 men
00:31:46.520 are
00:31:46.800 created
00:31:47.200 equal
00:31:47.640 and
00:31:48.040 they're
00:31:48.240 endowed
00:31:48.760 by their
00:31:49.140 creator
00:31:49.540 with
00:31:49.780 certain
00:31:50.380 inalienable
00:31:51.200 rights
00:31:51.760 life
00:31:52.840 liberty
00:31:53.680 and
00:31:54.440 property
00:31:55.040 that's
00:32:00.900 what
00:32:01.000 brought
00:32:01.220 us
00:32:01.380 together
00:32:01.660 before
00:32:02.100 it
00:32:03.900 was
00:32:04.040 the
00:32:04.180 declaration
00:32:04.540 of
00:32:04.820 independence
00:32:05.240 and
00:32:05.580 it
00:32:05.700 was
00:32:05.900 common
00:32:06.700 sense
00:32:08.120 I'm
00:32:15.680 going
00:32:15.760 to
00:32:15.860 try
00:32:16.000 to
00:32:16.140 complete
00:32:16.460 my
00:32:16.660 day
00:32:16.840 without
00:32:17.020 getting
00:32:17.260 sucked
00:32:17.600 into
00:32:17.840 the
00:32:18.000 wormhole
00:32:18.500 of
00:32:18.800 nightmares
00:32:20.220 of
00:32:21.940 the
00:32:22.160 stormy
00:32:23.560 Daniels
00:32:24.120 what
00:32:24.540 is
00:32:24.680 that
00:32:24.860 going
00:32:25.040 to
00:32:25.140 mean
00:32:25.400 I
00:32:26.560 don't
00:32:26.920 care
00:32:27.420 because
00:32:30.040 that
00:32:30.320 does
00:32:30.580 nothing
00:32:31.300 nothing
00:32:32.360 to
00:32:33.240 get
00:32:33.660 us
00:32:34.080 to
00:32:35.080 an
00:32:35.300 unum
00:32:35.720 that
00:32:37.140 does
00:32:37.460 nothing
00:32:38.240 to
00:32:39.100 get
00:32:39.380 us
00:32:39.560 to
00:32:39.740 principles
00:32:40.260 because
00:32:40.760 I
00:32:41.000 have
00:32:41.460 to
00:32:41.560 tell
00:32:41.700 you
00:32:41.840 at
00:32:42.280 one
00:32:42.580 point
00:32:43.000 this
00:32:43.600 whole
00:32:43.880 damn
00:32:44.200 thing
00:32:44.580 this
00:32:44.840 house
00:32:45.200 of
00:32:45.380 cards
00:32:45.700 that
00:32:45.880 we
00:32:46.000 are
00:32:46.140 building
00:32:46.480 it's
00:32:48.940 all
00:32:49.100 going
00:32:49.220 to
00:32:49.300 come
00:32:49.480 down
00:32:49.840 and
00:32:50.920 it's
00:32:51.080 going
00:32:51.180 to
00:32:51.240 be
00:32:51.400 you
00:32:51.740 and
00:32:51.940 your
00:32:52.120 neighbor
00:32:52.480 looking
00:32:52.900 at
00:32:53.100 each
00:32:53.340 other
00:32:53.640 and
00:32:55.300 if
00:32:55.460 we
00:32:55.660 don't
00:32:55.960 start
00:32:56.220 building
00:32:56.560 bridges
00:32:56.940 to
00:32:57.200 each
00:32:57.420 other
00:32:57.620 we'll
00:32:57.940 kill
00:32:58.200 each
00:32:58.460 other
00:32:58.720 and
00:32:59.000 I'm
00:32:59.140 not
00:32:59.300 for
00:32:59.560 that
00:32:59.880 I'm
00:33:01.820 not
00:33:02.100 for
00:33:02.400 that
00:33:02.800 so
00:33:05.820 let's
00:33:06.240 try to
00:33:07.760 find our
00:33:08.080 way to
00:33:08.380 each
00:33:08.580 other
00:33:08.820 today
00:33:09.740 just
00:33:10.320 have
00:33:10.840 one
00:33:11.520 conversation
00:33:12.480 with
00:33:12.980 somebody
00:33:13.380 one
00:33:14.440 and
00:33:16.340 just
00:33:16.480 be
00:33:16.660 kind
00:33:17.200 you
00:33:18.940 start
00:33:19.180 to
00:33:19.340 write
00:33:19.520 something
00:33:19.780 on
00:33:19.960 Facebook
00:33:20.280 or
00:33:20.500 Twitter
00:33:20.740 back
00:33:22.980 it
00:33:23.120 up
00:33:23.380 write
00:33:25.460 something
00:33:25.780 kind
00:33:26.480 just
00:33:26.920 one
00:33:27.320 just
00:33:28.320 one
00:33:29.060 because
00:33:33.220 if we
00:33:33.500 if just
00:33:34.180 the people
00:33:34.560 in this
00:33:34.880 audience
00:33:35.200 did
00:33:35.440 that
00:33:35.720 I'm
00:33:36.820 telling
00:33:37.060 you
00:33:37.320 you
00:33:38.120 change
00:33:38.420 the
00:33:38.560 world
00:33:38.840 well
00:33:51.160 believe it
00:33:51.520 or not
00:33:51.760 I
00:33:51.900 didn't
00:33:52.360 have
00:33:52.540 any
00:33:52.700 of
00:33:52.840 that
00:33:53.000 planned
00:33:53.440 that's
00:33:53.940 this
00:33:56.120 kind
00:33:56.340 of
00:33:56.600 I
00:33:58.640 got
00:33:58.760 a lot
00:33:59.000 to
00:33:59.220 tell
00:33:59.460 you
00:34:00.140 about
00:34:00.360 today
00:34:00.640 we
00:34:00.960 have
00:34:01.220 a
00:34:01.440 ton
00:34:01.900 to
00:34:02.320 talk
00:34:02.560 about
00:34:02.820 because
00:34:03.060 there's
00:34:03.240 a
00:34:03.460 lot
00:34:03.720 going
00:34:04.020 on
00:34:04.420 I
00:34:04.740 have
00:34:04.840 the
00:34:04.900 latest
00:34:05.060 on
00:34:05.220 Stormy
00:34:05.540 Daniels
00:34:05.860 coming
00:34:06.060 up
00:34:06.400 it's
00:34:07.480 very
00:34:07.640 important
00:34:07.940 we
00:34:08.560 gotta
00:34:08.760 get
00:34:08.920 to
00:34:09.060 that
00:34:09.460 by
00:34:10.060 the
00:34:10.160 way
00:34:10.420 did
00:34:11.600 you
00:34:11.720 see
00:34:11.960 people
00:34:12.540 are
00:34:12.660 now
00:34:12.800 saying
00:34:13.020 the
00:34:13.180 rapture
00:34:13.520 is
00:34:13.640 coming
00:34:13.860 April
00:34:14.120 23rd
00:34:15.240 I
00:34:15.760 saw
00:34:15.980 that
00:34:16.260 yeah
00:34:16.560 that's
00:34:16.900 really
00:34:17.320 good
00:34:17.600 I'm
00:34:17.840 gonna
00:34:17.980 I
00:34:18.300 I
00:34:18.760 want
00:34:19.100 to
00:34:19.220 count
00:34:19.400 down
00:34:19.620 I
00:34:20.120 want
00:34:20.240 to
00:34:20.340 count
00:34:20.540 down
00:34:20.680 to
00:34:20.780 the
00:34:20.880 rapture
00:34:21.140 because
00:34:21.320 if
00:34:21.460 the
00:34:21.560 rapture
00:34:21.860 is
00:34:21.980 true
00:34:22.260 we
00:34:22.800 all
00:34:23.040 disappear
00:34:23.580 anybody
00:34:24.080 who's
00:34:24.460 a
00:34:24.560 good
00:34:24.680 person
00:34:25.060 I'll
00:34:25.580 feel
00:34:25.780 bad
00:34:26.080 if
00:34:26.200 a
00:34:26.300 whole
00:34:26.420 bunch
00:34:26.620 of
00:34:26.720 people
00:34:27.000 disappear
00:34:27.620 and
00:34:27.800 I'm
00:34:28.140 left
00:34:37.940 American
00:34:38.340 financing
00:34:39.060 alright
00:34:39.920 how you
00:34:45.540 doing
00:34:45.720 with
00:34:45.880 your
00:34:45.980 mortgage
00:34:46.400 how you
00:34:48.060 doing
00:34:48.200 with
00:34:48.340 your
00:34:48.440 bills
00:34:48.780 are

00:34:51.040 a
00:34:51.180 new
00:34:51.300 place
00:34:51.660 are
00:34:53.060 you
00:34:53.200 thinking
00:34:53.420 you're
00:34:53.660 having

00:34:55.920 now
00:34:57.260 is

00:35:02.520 your
00:35:02.700 home
00:35:02.940 buy
00:35:03.280 a
00:35:03.440 new
00:35:03.600 home
00:35:03.960 now
00:35:04.540 is
00:35:04.720 the
00:35:04.860 time
00:35:05.080 the
00:35:05.280 interest
00:35:05.720 rates
00:35:06.060 are
00:35:06.340 low
00:35:06.780 now
00:35:07.700 I
00:35:08.180 want
00:35:08.360 you
00:35:08.440 to
00:35:08.520 go
00:35:08.620 to
00:35:08.720 American
00:35:09.080 Financing
00:35:09.620 because
00:35:09.900 they
00:35:10.080 don't
00:35:10.340 work
00:35:10.660 for
00:35:10.820 the
00:35:10.940 banks
00:35:11.300 remember
00:35:11.840 you
00:35:12.140 know
00:35:12.220 one
00:35:12.380 of
00:35:12.460 the
00:35:12.580 things
00:35:12.820 that
00:35:12.960 problems
00:35:13.240 of
00:35:13.540 2008
00:35:15.540 was
00:35:16.380 the
00:35:16.520 bank
00:35:16.800 was
00:35:17.240 trying
00:35:18.340 to
00:35:18.520 sell
00:35:18.720 all
00:35:18.920 these
00:35:19.160 loans
00:35:19.860 where
00:35:20.020 wait
00:35:20.940 I
00:35:21.120 don't
00:35:21.280 even
00:35:21.460 have
00:35:21.720 to
00:35:21.840 have
00:35:22.080 a
00:35:22.260 job
00:35:22.800 yeah
00:35:24.200 yeah
00:35:24.620 okay
00:35:25.260 they
00:35:25.640 didn't
00:35:25.840 do
00:35:25.980 that
00:35:26.160 at
00:35:26.260 American
00:35:26.540 Financing
00:35:27.020 they're

00:35:28.320 based
00:35:28.620 mortgage
00:35:28.980 consultants
00:35:29.380 so
00:35:29.540 they're
00:35:29.660 not
00:35:29.800 just
00:35:29.960 trying
00:35:30.120 to
00:35:30.300 jam

00:37:49.240 there's

00:37:50.920 what made
00:37:51.280 me
00:37:51.460 popular
00:37:51.960 was that

00:37:58.380 you have
00:37:58.740 to be
00:37:58.920 pretty
00:37:59.120 certain
00:37:59.380 about
00:37:59.580 a lot
00:37:59.800 of
00:37:59.880 things
00:38:00.180 but I
00:38:02.080 was

00:38:03.000 the last
00:38:03.400 few
00:38:03.640 years
00:38:04.160 I have

00:38:05.640 what made
00:38:06.120 me
00:38:06.340 popular
00:38:06.880 certainty
00:38:07.800 and I
00:38:08.380 am
00:38:08.580 I have
00:38:09.000 gained
00:38:09.560 what
00:38:10.240 has
00:38:10.960 zero
00:38:11.860 value
00:38:12.600 today
00:38:13.500 except
00:38:15.540 to me
00:38:15.980 humility
00:38:18.280 or
00:38:18.700 a
00:38:20.740 lack

00:38:22.260 that's
00:38:26.360 a good

00:38:27.000 I think
00:38:27.740 makes it

00:38:29.960 to compete
00:38:30.520 in today's

00:38:31.500 but I
00:38:32.760 know
00:38:33.040 what my
00:38:33.460 core
00:38:33.780 is
00:38:34.160 but
00:38:35.720 boy
00:38:35.980 I
00:38:36.220 what
00:38:37.140 we're

00:40:15.140 where
00:40:15.340 they
00:40:15.480 really
00:40:15.780 kept

00:40:16.760 intact
00:40:17.320 and

00:40:21.600 the

00:40:26.540 before

00:40:27.000 September
00:40:27.260 9-2001
00:40:28.440 that
00:40:30.280 felt
00:40:30.500 like
00:40:30.720 it
00:40:30.820 was
00:40:30.980 this
00:40:31.200 historical
00:40:31.740 anomaly
00:40:32.160 everything
00:40:32.540 was
00:40:32.780 going
00:40:32.960 one

00:40:33.560 Russia
00:40:33.900 was

00:40:36.580 Belarus
00:40:36.860 was
00:40:37.120 this
00:40:37.280 weird
00:40:37.560 exception
00:40:38.020 and
00:40:38.280 so
00:40:38.460 all
00:40:38.680 the
00:40:38.800 Western
00:40:39.080 reporters
00:40:39.520 went
00:40:39.740 there
00:40:39.900 to
00:40:40.020 report
00:40:40.340 on
00:40:40.560 what
00:40:40.980 a
00:40:41.360 weird
00:40:41.560 exception
00:40:42.000 it
00:40:42.180 was
00:40:42.400 and
00:40:42.500 there
00:40:42.600 was
00:40:42.700 this
00:40:42.960 stuff
00:40:43.220 there
00:40:43.420 that
00:40:43.560 made
00:40:43.740 no
00:40:43.960 sense
00:40:44.260 there
00:40:44.460 was
00:40:44.560 this
00:40:44.760 giant
00:40:45.620 tractor
00:40:46.080 factory
00:40:46.620 producing
00:40:47.220 what
00:40:48.360 seemed
00:40:48.560 like
00:40:48.780 many
00:40:49.180 thousands
00:40:49.640 of
00:40:49.840 tractors
00:40:50.260 and
00:40:50.360 if
00:40:50.460 you
00:40:50.500 go
00:40:50.740 around
00:40:51.000 the
00:40:51.180 country
00:40:51.460 there
00:40:51.640 would
00:40:51.700 be
00:40:51.800 tractors
00:40:52.260 plowing
00:40:52.720 the
00:40:52.940 streets
00:40:53.300 there
00:40:53.460 would
00:40:53.520 be
00:40:53.640 tractors
00:40:54.160 sitting
00:40:54.440 unused
00:40:54.880 on
00:40:55.080 farms
00:40:55.480 because
00:40:55.680 nobody
00:40:55.920 could
00:40:56.080 afford
00:40:56.340 diesel
00:40:56.680 so
00:40:58.260 I

00:41:28.280 you

00:41:30.380 foreign
00:41:30.640 policy
00:41:31.060 and
00:41:31.240 so
00:41:31.340 I
00:41:31.460 published
00:41:31.800 it
00:41:32.080 and
00:41:33.220 then
00:41:33.360 the
00:41:33.480 next
00:41:33.660 time
00:41:33.880 I
00:41:34.000 was
00:41:34.100 in

00:41:49.360 very
00:41:49.800 long
00:41:50.160 time
00:41:50.560 oh
00:41:51.480 yeah
00:41:51.660 I
00:41:51.720 mean
00:41:51.820 it
00:41:51.880 sticks
00:41:52.300 with
00:41:52.420 your
00:41:52.640 whole
00:41:52.840 career
00:41:53.100 you
00:41:53.280 know
00:41:53.380 you
00:41:53.520 just
00:41:53.680 think
00:41:53.840 about
00:41:54.120 journalism
00:41:55.200 it's
00:41:56.780 hard
00:41:56.940 to
00:41:57.080 predict
00:41:57.340 what's
00:41:57.580 going
00:41:57.680 to
00:41:57.760 happen
00:41:58.020 after
00:41:58.780 you
00:41:59.060 reveal
00:41:59.460 a
00:41:59.620 piece
00:41:59.800 of
00:41:59.920 information
00:42:00.420 and
00:42:00.720 I
00:42:00.840 think
00:42:01.060 you
00:42:01.760 know
00:42:02.000 should
00:42:02.280 you
00:42:02.400 think
00:42:02.600 about
00:42:02.840 it
00:42:03.000 should
00:42:03.140 you
00:42:03.240 not
00:42:03.460 worry
00:42:03.720 about
00:42:04.000 it
00:42:04.280 should
00:42:04.900 you
00:42:05.020 just
00:42:05.140 be
00:42:05.280 focused
00:42:05.640 on
00:42:05.900 essentially
00:42:06.240 telling
00:42:06.560 the truth
00:42:06.980 to the
00:42:07.300 people
00:42:07.540 to your
00:42:07.880 audience
00:42:08.300 at the
00:42:08.820 expense
00:42:09.200 of your
00:42:09.480 sources
00:42:09.780 these
00:42:10.020 are
00:42:10.140 hard
00:42:10.320 questions
00:42:10.700 but
00:42:10.860 I
00:42:10.940 definitely
00:42:11.300 thought
00:42:12.140 about
00:42:12.380 it
00:42:12.560 and
00:42:12.800 googled
00:42:13.120 the
00:42:13.260 guy
00:42:13.440 from
00:42:13.640 time
00:42:13.820 to
00:42:13.940 time
00:42:14.160 his name
00:42:14.440 is
00:42:14.540 Alexei
00:42:14.860 Shidlovsky
00:42:15.400 and then
00:42:15.660 at some
00:42:16.000 point
00:42:16.300 and I
00:42:16.540 don't even
00:42:16.800 know if
00:42:17.060 it was
00:42:17.180 translated
00:42:17.660 right
00:42:18.000 ran across
00:42:18.660 an interview
00:42:19.240 with him
00:42:19.740 where he
00:42:20.540 said he
00:42:20.740 hadn't been
00:42:21.140 to jail
00:42:21.540 for his
00:42:21.900 beliefs
00:42:22.240 which
00:42:22.580 seemed
00:42:23.040 weird
00:42:23.300 to me
00:42:23.620 and so
00:42:23.900 I
00:42:24.140 didn't
00:42:25.480 really
00:42:25.600 know
00:42:25.700 what to
00:42:25.860 do
00:42:26.020 with it
00:42:26.260 and sat
00:42:26.540 on it
00:42:26.760 for a
00:42:26.940 while
00:42:27.060 and finally
00:42:27.440 found
00:42:27.780 him
00:42:27.940 on
00:42:28.100 Facebook
00:42:28.420 where
00:42:28.800 he
00:42:28.960 lives
00:42:29.920 in Prague
00:42:30.440 and he
00:42:30.720 manages
00:42:31.020 a hotel
00:42:31.620 and I
00:42:33.940 called him
00:42:35.180 up on
00:42:35.540 Facebook
00:42:35.880 and he
00:42:36.360 said
00:42:36.540 yeah
00:42:36.720 that
00:42:36.920 never
00:42:37.280 happened
00:42:37.700 and I
00:42:38.340 don't
00:42:38.420 know
00:42:38.520 what
00:42:38.620 you're
00:42:38.720 talking
00:42:38.960 about
00:42:39.300 I
00:42:39.680 didn't
00:42:39.920 go to
00:42:40.180 jail
00:42:40.340 the
00:42:40.560 story
00:42:40.780 was
00:42:40.960 fine
00:42:41.300 which
00:42:42.620 was
00:42:42.780 really
00:42:43.180 totally
00:42:44.180 shocking
00:42:44.680 to me
00:42:45.080 I'd
00:42:45.340 spent
00:42:45.560 years
00:42:45.940 thinking
00:42:46.300 this
00:42:46.560 was
00:42:46.700 this
00:42:47.000 horrible
00:42:47.540 thing
00:42:47.820 I'd
00:42:48.000 done
00:42:48.160 to him
00:42:48.580 it
00:42:49.940 goes
00:42:50.500 further
00:42:51.120 than
00:42:51.540 just
00:42:52.020 that
00:42:52.700 and
00:42:53.320 you
00:42:53.520 tell
00:42:54.400 this
00:42:54.660 story
00:42:55.060 I
00:42:55.260 know
00:42:55.380 you're
00:42:55.660 we're
00:42:56.260 pressed
00:42:56.540 for
00:42:56.660 time
00:42:57.000 so
00:42:57.240 you're
00:42:58.080 rushing
00:42:58.720 through
00:42:58.960 the
00:42:59.120 story
00:42:59.480 but
00:42:59.860 please
00:43:00.560 read
00:43:00.960 this
00:43:01.180 story
00:43:01.440 it
00:43:01.640 is
00:43:01.800 so
00:43:02.140 well
00:43:02.420 written
00:43:02.700 and
00:43:03.120 you
00:43:03.280 can
00:43:03.500 feel
00:43:04.120 I
00:43:04.580 mean
00:43:04.660 I
00:43:04.780 love
00:43:04.980 the
00:43:05.160 line
00:43:05.460 and
00:43:05.960 my
00:43:06.480 face
00:43:07.000 reddened
00:43:07.540 even
00:43:07.740 more
00:43:08.100 you know
00:43:08.880 as
00:43:09.140 these
00:43:09.380 things
00:43:09.660 are
00:43:09.840 being
00:43:10.060 brought
00:43:10.400 up
00:43:10.620 to
00:43:10.800 you
00:43:11.060 over
00:43:11.520 the
00:43:11.920 years
00:43:12.480 you're
00:43:13.280 just
00:43:13.760 it's
00:43:14.260 grinding
00:43:14.780 you
00:43:15.240 and
00:43:15.680 bothering
00:43:16.120 you
00:43:16.420 I got
00:43:16.760 everything
00:43:17.200 wrong
00:43:17.620 the
00:43:17.800 other
00:43:17.980 detail
00:43:18.280 this
00:43:18.480 tractor
00:43:18.780 factory
00:43:19.140 that I
00:43:19.460 thought
00:43:19.620 was
00:43:19.760 such
00:43:19.940 a
00:43:20.080 joke
00:43:20.360 it
00:43:20.840 was
00:43:20.980 revealed
00:43:21.460 in
00:43:21.720 the
00:43:21.940 run
00:43:22.980 up
00:43:23.140 to
00:43:23.260 the
00:43:23.400 Iraq
00:43:23.720 war
00:43:23.960 that
00:43:24.180 the
00:43:24.380 reason
00:43:24.600 that
00:43:24.800 it
00:43:24.920 was
00:43:25.460 so
00:43:25.660 large
00:43:26.100 and
00:43:26.260 so
00:43:26.420 hard
00:43:26.600 to
00:43:26.720 figure
00:43:26.940 out
00:43:27.280 and
00:43:27.540 kind
00:43:27.780 of
00:43:27.880 weirdly
00:43:28.160 secretive
00:43:28.700 is that
00:43:28.900 they
00:43:29.000 were
00:43:29.120 making
00:43:29.400 missile
00:43:29.680 launchers
00:43:30.180 and
00:43:30.880 were
00:43:31.040 exporting
00:43:31.640 weapons
00:43:32.300 all over
00:43:32.620 the
00:43:32.780 world
00:43:33.100 so
00:43:33.700 I
00:43:34.120 had
00:43:34.560 totally
00:43:34.940 misread
00:43:35.400 the
00:43:35.540 situation
00:43:36.040 as
00:43:37.060 you're
00:43:37.260 apt
00:43:37.460 to
00:43:37.660 do
00:43:37.900 and
00:43:38.040 you
00:43:38.740 want
00:43:38.980 to
00:43:39.360 tell
00:43:39.520 your
00:43:39.780 readers
00:43:40.520 what
00:43:40.720 they
00:43:40.840 want
00:43:41.020 to
00:43:41.100 hear
00:43:41.280 sometimes
00:43:41.800 and
00:43:42.040 I
00:43:42.560 knew
00:43:42.700 the
00:43:42.820 Wall
00:43:50.840 was
00:43:51.060 you
00:43:52.040 know
00:43:52.220 sort
00:43:52.460 of
00:43:52.620 hub
00:43:53.040 in
00:43:53.200 the
00:43:53.520 anti-American
00:43:54.380 arms
00:43:54.780 dealing
00:43:55.080 network
00:43:55.600 so
00:43:57.500 you
00:43:59.120 quoted
00:44:00.100 Janet
00:44:00.940 Malcolm
00:44:01.320 and
00:44:02.040 you
00:44:02.240 said
00:44:02.500 the
00:44:02.680 core
00:44:02.920 of
00:44:03.100 journalism
00:44:03.580 is
00:44:04.080 betrayal
00:44:04.600 what
00:44:05.140 does
00:44:05.240 that
00:44:05.380 mean
00:44:06.180 well
00:44:06.800 you
00:44:07.040 know
00:44:07.200 there's
00:44:07.380 this
00:44:07.520 famous
00:44:07.840 little
00:44:08.320 book
00:44:08.660 called
00:44:08.840 the
00:44:08.960 journalist
00:44:09.280 and
00:44:09.520 the
00:44:09.620 murderer
00:44:09.920 and
00:44:11.060 I
00:44:11.180 think
00:44:11.400 you
00:44:11.520 know
00:44:11.680 journalism
00:44:12.680 is
00:44:12.940 a
00:44:13.060 complicated
00:44:13.480 business
00:44:13.960 and
00:44:14.220 the
00:44:14.440 goal
00:44:14.760 of
00:44:14.960 getting
00:44:15.160 people
00:44:15.600 the
00:44:15.800 truth
00:44:16.160 does
00:44:16.380 not
00:44:16.560 always
00:44:16.940 involve
00:44:17.560 I
00:44:19.260 mean
00:44:19.380 you
00:44:19.860 know
00:44:20.040 involves
00:44:20.540 getting
00:44:21.520 people
00:44:21.780 to tell
00:44:22.060 you
00:44:22.200 things
00:44:22.440 it's
00:44:22.600 against
00:44:22.840 their
00:44:23.080 interest
00:44:23.400 to
00:44:23.620 tell
00:44:23.840 you
00:44:24.000 there's
00:44:24.160 this
00:44:24.260 legendary
00:44:24.660 story
00:44:24.960 great
00:44:25.520 novel
00:44:26.140 called
00:44:26.400 Fatal
00:44:26.680 Vision
00:44:26.960 and
00:44:27.760 if
00:44:27.880 you
00:44:27.960 like
00:44:28.260 true
00:44:28.540 crime
00:44:29.040 fantastic
00:44:29.940 novel
00:44:30.360 by
00:44:30.680 Joe
00:44:30.920 McGinnis
00:44:31.360 and
00:44:31.480 he
00:44:31.740 basically
00:44:32.880 wrote
00:44:33.240 to this
00:44:33.540 man
00:44:33.760 who
00:44:33.900 was
00:44:34.020 accused
00:44:34.260 of
00:44:34.400 murdering
00:44:34.680 his
00:44:34.780 family
00:44:35.020 told
00:44:35.380 him
00:44:35.580 that
00:44:35.700 he
00:44:35.800 was
00:44:35.940 in
00:44:36.080 sympathy
00:44:36.320 with
00:44:36.620 him
00:44:36.760 that
00:44:36.860 he
00:44:36.960 believed
00:44:37.260 he
00:44:37.440 was
00:44:37.560 innocent
00:44:37.900 that
00:44:38.140 he
00:44:38.240 wanted
00:44:38.460 to
00:44:38.620 help
00:44:38.780 with
00:44:38.920 the
00:44:39.020 defense
00:44:39.380 insinuated
00:44:40.060 himself
00:44:40.460 into
00:44:40.680 the
00:44:40.800 defense
00:44:41.100 team
00:44:41.480 and
00:44:42.480 then
00:44:42.840 wrote
00:44:43.320 a book
00:44:43.740 about
00:44:44.100 how
00:44:44.320 guilty
00:44:44.560 he
00:44:44.800 was
00:44:45.140 and
00:44:46.580 I
00:44:47.440 believe
00:44:47.740 the
00:44:47.880 guy
00:44:48.020 sued
00:44:48.380 him
00:44:48.800 I
00:44:49.020 mean
00:44:49.120 it
00:44:49.200 was
00:44:49.300 this
00:44:49.740 very
00:44:50.020 messy
00:44:50.420 thing
00:44:52.060 where
00:44:52.260 he
00:44:52.380 had
00:44:52.500 really
00:44:52.720 totally
00:44:53.220 betrayed
00:44:53.620 this
00:44:53.860 guy
00:44:54.000 really
00:44:54.200 tricked
00:44:54.520 him
00:44:54.740 into
00:44:54.900 getting
00:44:55.100 his
00:44:55.300 confidence
00:44:55.640 and
00:44:55.900 betrayed
00:44:56.200 him
00:44:56.420 in
00:44:56.540 a very
00:44:57.400 extreme
00:44:57.860 case
00:44:58.300 but I
00:44:58.580 think
00:44:58.740 what
00:44:58.920 Janet
00:44:59.140 Malcolm
00:44:59.440 argues
00:44:59.760 in
00:44:59.900 this
00:45:00.020 very
00:45:00.200 small
00:45:00.500 book
00:45:00.760 about
00:45:00.980 how
00:45:01.280 the
00:45:01.720 ethical
00:45:02.300 complexity
00:45:03.820 of
00:45:04.100 journalism
00:45:04.440 is
00:45:04.760 that
00:45:04.940 at
00:45:05.420 some
00:45:05.640 level
00:45:10.460 ultimately
00:45:11.400 to tell
00:45:11.700 the truth
00:45:12.000 to their
00:45:12.300 audience
00:45:12.720 and
00:45:13.440 you
00:45:13.640 were
00:45:13.800 even
00:45:14.060 betrayed
00:45:14.500 as you
00:45:15.000 found
00:45:15.340 out
00:45:15.680 that
00:45:16.560 when
00:45:17.300 you
00:45:17.540 when
00:45:17.840 you
00:45:18.000 met
00:45:18.220 up
00:45:18.420 with
00:45:18.620 him
00:45:18.860 the
00:45:19.640 guy
00:45:19.840 you
00:45:20.060 thought
00:45:20.360 had
00:45:20.820 gone
00:45:21.060 to
00:45:21.260 jail
00:45:21.560 and
00:45:21.760 was
00:45:21.900 beaten
00:45:22.160 up
00:45:22.520 you
00:45:23.640 didn't
00:45:23.900 know
00:45:24.100 what
00:45:24.280 to do
00:45:24.560 with
00:45:24.700 it
00:45:24.820 for
00:45:25.020 a
00:45:25.140 while
00:45:25.400 and
00:45:26.100 it
00:45:26.620 just
00:45:27.080 kind
00:45:27.500 of
00:45:27.700 sat
00:45:28.320 with
00:45:28.520 you
00:45:28.680 and
00:45:28.800 you
00:45:28.940 decided
00:45:29.360 I've
00:45:29.840 got
00:45:29.980 to
00:45:30.120 find
00:45:30.360 the
00:45:30.500 guy
00:45:30.700 who
00:45:30.860 told
00:45:31.120 that
00:45:31.340 to
00:45:31.500 me
00:45:31.760 yeah
00:45:32.640 and
00:45:32.780 you
00:45:32.820 know
00:45:32.900 I
00:45:33.000 called
00:45:33.300 him
00:45:33.460 I
00:45:33.600 left
00:45:33.800 messages
00:45:34.180 I
00:45:34.340 talked
00:45:34.500 to
00:45:34.600 his
00:45:34.700 wife
00:45:34.880 I
00:45:35.000 could
00:45:35.140 never
00:45:35.320 track
00:45:35.600 him
00:45:35.720 down
00:45:35.880 I
00:45:36.020 finally
00:45:36.280 got
00:45:36.500 ahold
00:45:36.700 of
00:45:36.800 his
00:45:36.940 boss
00:45:37.360 who
00:45:37.580 said
00:45:37.940 oh god
00:45:39.220 he
00:45:39.360 was
00:45:39.500 always
00:45:39.760 doing
00:45:40.060 stuff
00:45:40.340 like
00:45:40.520 that
00:45:40.720 that's
00:45:40.960 why
00:45:41.080 he
00:45:41.180 didn't
00:45:41.340 work
00:45:41.520 for me
00:45:41.800 long
00:45:42.100 I
00:46:03.000 if
00:46:03.220 if
00:46:03.240 I
00:46:03.380 have
00:46:03.980 the
00:46:04.180 story
00:46:04.460 right
00:46:04.800 you
00:46:05.180 have
00:46:05.700 kind
00:46:06.420 of
00:46:06.520 come
00:46:06.720 to
00:46:06.860 the
00:46:07.000 place
00:46:07.360 that
00:46:07.600 you
00:46:08.580 have
00:46:08.880 to
00:46:09.040 question
00:46:09.460 not
00:46:09.800 just
00:46:10.180 the
00:46:10.740 government
00:46:11.140 but
00:46:12.060 you
00:46:12.180 have
00:46:12.320 to
00:46:12.460 question
00:46:12.760 everything
00:46:13.180 that
00:46:13.460 you
00:46:13.600 think
00:46:13.940 you
00:46:14.400 know
00:46:14.700 you
00:46:15.760 it
00:46:16.260 sounds
00:46:16.680 to me
00:46:17.120 like
00:46:17.400 you're
00:46:17.540 in
00:46:17.620 the
00:46:17.740 same
00:46:17.920 place
00:46:18.240 that
00:46:18.440 I'm
00:46:19.480 at
00:46:19.760 on
00:46:20.280 wow
00:46:21.380 I
00:46:21.540 have
00:46:21.840 to
00:46:21.920 be
00:46:22.060 less
00:46:22.300 certain
00:46:22.620 because
00:46:23.200 I
00:46:24.240 don't
00:46:24.540 know
00:46:24.740 what
00:46:24.960 I
00:46:25.120 know
00:46:25.360 anymore
00:46:25.800 well
00:46:27.800 you
00:46:27.920 know
00:46:28.000 the
00:46:28.120 luxury
00:46:28.520 of
00:46:28.800 my
00:46:29.040 business
00:46:29.440 of
00:46:29.660 news
00:46:29.860 reporting
00:46:30.340 even
00:46:31.260 more
00:46:31.620 I
00:46:31.800 think
00:46:32.000 than
00:46:32.200 yours
00:46:32.540 is
00:46:32.780 that
00:46:32.920 we
00:46:33.400 don't
00:46:33.620 have
00:46:34.160 to
00:46:34.300 know
00:46:34.460 things
00:46:34.740 we
00:46:34.940 don't
00:46:35.100 have
00:46:35.340 to
00:46:35.460 be
00:46:35.620 sure
00:46:35.840 we
00:46:36.040 can
00:46:36.180 tell
00:46:36.360 the
00:46:36.520 readers
00:46:36.780 what
00:46:36.980 we
00:46:37.140 found
00:46:37.540 and
00:46:37.740 let
00:46:37.880 people
00:46:38.080 make
00:46:38.300 up
00:46:38.420 their
00:46:38.560 own
00:46:38.720 minds
00:46:38.960 and
00:46:39.060 I
00:46:59.440 you
00:47:00.060 know
00:47:00.220 we
00:47:00.420 have
00:47:01.640 we
00:47:01.800 listened
00:47:02.220 to
00:47:02.560 everyone
00:47:03.080 are
00:47:03.560 we
00:47:03.920 absolutely
00:47:04.340 sure
00:47:05.100 this
00:47:05.440 is
00:47:05.680 right
00:47:06.660 this
00:47:07.260 is
00:47:07.400 my
00:47:07.600 opinion
00:47:08.060 that
00:47:08.720 doesn't
00:47:09.020 necessarily
00:47:09.520 make
00:47:09.900 it
00:47:10.100 the
00:47:10.920 only
00:47:11.180 opinion
00:47:11.540 worth
00:47:11.780 considering
00:47:12.380 yeah
00:47:14.600 I mean
00:47:14.900 you know
00:47:15.120 it depends
00:47:15.720 it's the
00:47:16.100 sky
00:47:16.340 you know
00:47:16.620 you can
00:47:16.820 say the
00:47:17.080 sky
00:47:17.280 is blue
00:47:17.660 and be
00:47:18.080 pretty
00:47:18.260 sure
00:47:18.500 about
00:47:18.720 it
00:47:18.860 but
00:47:18.980 you can
00:47:20.540 also
00:47:20.840 realize
00:47:21.640 people
00:47:21.880 lie
00:47:22.160 to
00:47:22.320 you
00:47:22.520 realize
00:47:23.140 you know
00:47:24.480 and realize
00:47:25.020 that your
00:47:25.280 big
00:47:25.560 assumptions
00:47:25.980 about
00:47:26.300 how wrong
00:47:27.160 those
00:47:27.420 can be
00:47:27.780 I mean
00:47:27.980 that to
00:47:28.340 me
00:47:28.440 was a
00:47:28.700 big
00:47:28.840 thing
00:47:29.040 you know
00:47:29.280 we
00:47:29.360 were
00:47:29.500 all
00:47:29.680 there
00:47:29.880 laughing
00:47:30.220 at
00:47:30.440 this
00:47:30.720 ludicrous
00:47:31.660 dictator
00:47:32.100 who was
00:47:32.500 obviously
00:47:32.940 a relic
00:47:33.380 of history
00:47:33.840 and you
00:47:34.260 know
00:47:34.400 20 years
00:47:34.800 later
00:47:34.980 he's still
00:47:35.300 running
00:47:35.460 the
00:47:35.600 country
00:47:35.860 so
00:47:38.220 Ben
00:47:38.420 what is
00:47:38.720 the state
00:47:39.120 of journalism
00:47:39.620 now
00:47:40.260 that is a
00:47:43.140 big question
00:47:43.800 I mean
00:47:44.320 I think
00:47:45.540 honestly
00:47:46.160 that it
00:47:46.780 is
00:47:47.120 better
00:47:47.920 than you
00:47:48.640 might
00:47:49.340 hear
00:47:50.020 from our
00:47:50.540 president
00:47:51.260 I think
00:47:52.260 there's a lot
00:47:52.660 of great
00:47:52.960 reporting
00:47:53.320 being done
00:47:53.880 I think
00:47:54.320 you know
00:47:55.300 there's a
00:47:55.740 there's been
00:47:56.920 a long
00:47:58.880 campaign
00:47:59.540 to discredit
00:48:01.120 both specific
00:48:02.260 journalists
00:48:02.780 and whole
00:48:04.260 topics of
00:48:05.000 journalism
00:48:05.340 that people
00:48:05.820 don't like
00:48:06.360 you know
00:48:07.080 for their
00:48:07.680 own reasons
00:48:08.160 and that
00:48:08.420 that's really
00:48:08.800 left a mark
00:48:09.500 you think
00:48:11.540 that's
00:48:11.780 happened
00:48:12.000 on both
00:48:12.380 sides
00:48:12.660 though
00:48:12.900 but I
00:48:13.460 think
00:48:13.680 when you
00:48:13.920 people
00:48:14.480 will say
00:48:14.980 that they
00:48:15.320 don't
00:48:15.500 trust
00:48:15.780 the
00:48:16.020 media
00:48:16.340 but then
00:48:17.320 if you
00:48:17.540 ask them
00:48:17.940 do you
00:48:18.180 trust
00:48:18.540 your
00:48:18.720 local
00:48:19.020 newspaper
00:48:19.520 do you
00:48:19.880 trust
00:48:20.080 the guy
00:48:20.400 who
00:48:20.540 writes
00:48:20.800 about
00:48:21.180 the
00:48:21.640 Cleveland
00:48:22.240 Indians
00:48:22.780 for the
00:48:23.200 plane
00:48:23.500 dealer
00:48:23.820 you know
00:48:24.360 people
00:48:24.620 mostly
00:48:25.020 do
00:48:25.360 and so
00:48:26.120 I
00:48:26.220 think
00:48:26.440 but I
00:48:27.540 think
00:48:27.740 it's
00:48:27.980 tough
00:48:28.840 and I
00:48:29.280 think
00:48:29.440 our
00:48:29.760 job
00:48:30.100 is
00:48:30.280 very
00:48:30.500 much
00:48:30.800 to try
00:48:31.180 to win
00:48:31.540 people's
00:48:32.880 trust
00:48:33.300 back
00:48:33.620 to some
00:48:33.980 degree
00:48:34.320 and I
00:48:34.720 think
00:48:34.860 that is
00:48:35.160 in part
00:48:39.500 the
00:48:40.460 testimony
00:48:41.560 this week
00:48:42.180 with
00:48:42.460 Facebook
00:48:43.120 and Zuckerberg
00:48:44.240 we are
00:48:45.340 all
00:48:45.880 now
00:48:46.340 I mean
00:48:46.680 when I
00:48:47.060 first got
00:48:47.420 into radio
00:48:48.020 this is
00:48:48.980 40 years
00:48:49.540 ago
00:48:49.880 I had
00:48:51.220 to build
00:48:51.480 an audience
00:48:52.000 now
00:48:53.200 my audience
00:48:54.640 has an
00:48:55.340 audience
00:48:55.840 everybody
00:48:57.300 has an
00:48:58.320 audience
00:48:58.800 and you
00:49:00.940 know
00:49:01.120 you can
00:49:01.580 accuse me
00:49:02.200 of saying
00:49:02.720 and doing
00:49:03.040 things
00:49:03.540 you know
00:49:03.880 for
00:49:04.260 for clicks
00:49:05.340 or ratings
00:49:05.940 or whatever
00:49:06.680 but a lot
00:49:08.340 of people
00:49:08.720 are now
00:49:09.280 doing
00:49:09.580 that
00:49:09.880 that
00:49:10.640 are
00:49:10.780 just
00:49:11.000 walking
00:49:11.340 the
00:49:11.540 streets
00:49:11.860 and
00:49:12.100 they
00:49:13.320 don't
00:49:14.160 realize
00:49:14.680 that
00:49:15.280 they're
00:49:15.500 doing
00:49:15.880 that
00:49:16.280 where
00:49:17.500 do
00:49:17.640 you
00:49:17.780 stand
00:49:18.240 on
00:49:18.560 what's
00:49:19.100 happened
00:49:19.360 this
00:49:19.560 week
00:49:19.760 with
00:49:20.000 Facebook
00:49:20.720 what
00:49:21.400 should
00:49:21.640 be
00:49:21.980 done
00:49:23.180 if
00:49:23.960 anything
00:49:24.420 I
00:49:27.100 mean
00:49:27.260 I
00:49:27.380 think
00:49:27.580 it's
00:49:27.800 really
00:49:28.180 complicated
00:49:28.940 I
00:49:29.400 mean
00:49:29.480 I
00:49:29.580 think
00:49:29.760 that
00:49:30.060 you
00:49:31.180 know
00:49:31.340 Facebook
00:49:31.680 has
00:49:32.200 built
00:49:33.120 this
00:49:33.380 platform
00:49:34.960 that
00:49:35.220 has
00:49:35.340 2
00:49:35.520 billion
00:49:35.720 people
00:49:36.020 on
00:49:36.260 it
00:49:36.360 and
00:49:36.540 you
00:49:37.400 know
00:49:37.480 there's
00:49:37.640 no
00:49:37.820 way
00:49:38.020 that
00:49:38.140 the
00:49:38.260 people
00:49:38.460 running
00:49:38.820 Facebook
00:49:39.260 Incorporated
00:49:40.020 can really
00:49:40.580 control
00:49:41.060 something
00:49:41.420 like that
00:49:41.940 I mean
00:49:42.140 I think
00:49:42.300 people see
00:49:42.740 them as
00:49:43.120 like the
00:49:43.400 government
00:49:43.700 of Facebook
00:49:44.180 but maybe
00:49:44.620 they're a little
00:49:44.920 more like the
00:49:45.380 United Nations
00:49:45.960 of Facebook
00:49:46.500 I mean
00:49:47.500 just in terms
00:49:47.900 of the
00:49:48.180 scale of it
00:49:48.880 and I think
00:49:49.820 you know
00:49:50.040 when something
00:49:50.800 really horrific
00:49:51.700 happens in the
00:49:52.440 United States
00:49:52.980 of America
00:49:53.540 you know
00:49:54.340 somebody gets
00:49:54.720 shot on
00:49:55.240 Facebook Live
00:49:56.000 they get a lot
00:49:56.980 of media
00:49:57.240 attention
00:49:57.540 they deal
00:49:57.940 with it
00:49:58.160 they promise
00:49:58.520 to take it
00:49:58.920 seriously
00:49:59.420 outside the
00:50:00.680 United States
00:50:01.160 and languages
00:50:01.720 you and I
00:50:02.200 and Mark Zuckerberg
00:50:02.860 don't speak
00:50:03.480 I mean
00:50:03.920 every day
00:50:05.200 all sorts
00:50:05.620 of crazy
00:50:06.020 things are
00:50:06.420 happening
00:50:06.700 that the
00:50:07.020 company
00:50:07.360 has almost
00:50:08.780 no way
00:50:09.220 of telling
00:50:09.820 what's going
00:50:10.360 on
00:50:10.760 I think
00:50:12.460 that you know
00:50:12.800 it's very
00:50:13.060 unclear what
00:50:13.640 regulation would
00:50:14.720 mean in an
00:50:15.240 American context
00:50:15.900 the Europeans
00:50:16.540 are starting
00:50:17.100 to really
00:50:18.500 impose new
00:50:19.140 rules around
00:50:19.920 your ability
00:50:21.020 to own your
00:50:21.560 own data
00:50:22.040 your ability
00:50:22.600 to force
00:50:23.180 places like
00:50:23.740 Facebook to
00:50:24.300 explain what
00:50:24.940 they're doing
00:50:25.440 that I think
00:50:26.300 may have
00:50:26.680 ramifications
00:50:27.580 here too
00:50:29.180 but I do
00:50:31.200 think in a
00:50:31.740 way
00:50:31.920 everybody's
00:50:32.340 waking up
00:50:32.880 to these
00:50:33.440 compromises
00:50:34.400 we've made
00:50:34.860 around our
00:50:35.260 privacy
00:50:35.640 and kind
00:50:36.260 of reckoning
00:50:36.720 with them
00:50:37.100 right now
00:50:37.580 talk to
00:50:38.600 Ben Smith
00:50:39.020 of BuzzFeed
00:50:39.800 Ben
00:50:40.300 one thing
00:50:41.280 from the
00:50:41.680 story to
00:50:42.000 get back
00:50:42.280 to it
00:50:42.480 for a
00:50:42.700 second
00:50:42.940 that you
00:50:43.600 wrote
00:50:43.900 and we're
00:50:44.680 going to
00:50:44.900 tweet that
00:50:45.300 at world
00:50:45.620 of stew
00:50:45.920 at Glenn
00:50:46.260 Beck
00:50:46.480 make sure
00:50:47.400 people can
00:50:47.740 read it
00:50:48.340 is I
00:50:49.200 thought
00:50:49.440 it was
00:50:49.660 really
00:50:49.920 interesting
00:50:50.240 because it
00:50:50.480 relates
00:50:50.820 sort of
00:50:51.280 to our
00:50:51.640 world
00:50:51.900 as well
00:50:52.380 in the
00:50:53.140 talk radio
00:50:53.600 realm
00:50:53.960 in that
00:50:54.660 you felt
00:50:56.040 the desire
00:50:56.500 as a young
00:50:56.960 reporter to
00:50:57.640 essentially
00:50:58.060 please your
00:50:58.740 editor
00:50:59.060 right
00:50:59.440 like to
00:50:59.780 please
00:51:00.320 the paper
00:51:01.020 to give
00:51:01.420 them
00:51:01.740 and what
00:51:02.060 the audience
00:51:02.680 what they
00:51:03.120 wanted
00:51:03.540 and a
00:51:05.740 is that
00:51:06.100 something
00:51:06.300 that's
00:51:06.560 you think
00:51:07.080 common
00:51:07.440 in your
00:51:07.900 business
00:51:08.080 I know
00:51:08.340 it's
00:51:08.460 common
00:51:08.700 in talk
00:51:09.000 radio
00:51:09.280 I know
00:51:09.780 it is
00:51:10.420 do you
00:51:11.280 find that
00:51:12.040 to be
00:51:12.440 common
00:51:12.720 in the
00:51:13.160 business
00:51:13.400 and also
00:51:14.000 how do
00:51:14.520 you push
00:51:15.000 back
00:51:15.280 against it
00:51:15.780 because it's
00:51:16.000 got to be
00:51:16.200 a very
00:51:16.460 natural
00:51:16.840 instinct
00:51:17.220 essentially
00:51:17.780 searching
00:51:18.400 for
00:51:18.660 acceptance
00:51:19.140 from your
00:51:19.620 employer
00:51:19.960 yeah
00:51:21.280 and I
00:51:21.480 think
00:51:21.660 you know
00:51:21.880 there's
00:51:22.320 there's
00:51:23.080 your
00:51:23.160 employer
00:51:23.560 there's
00:51:23.840 also
00:51:24.000 your
00:51:24.240 audience
00:51:27.640 you also
00:51:28.000 I think
00:51:28.720 hopefully
00:51:29.080 respect your
00:51:29.600 audience
00:51:29.840 enough to
00:51:30.180 know that
00:51:30.400 sometimes
00:51:30.620 people
00:51:30.820 actually
00:51:31.020 want to
00:51:31.300 be
00:51:31.420 challenged
00:51:31.840 and will
00:51:32.800 trust you
00:51:33.280 more
00:51:33.580 if you
00:51:33.840 do not
00:51:34.100 always
00:51:34.320 tell them
00:51:34.620 what they
00:51:34.860 want to
00:51:35.100 hear
00:51:35.280 I do
00:51:35.920 think
00:51:36.220 you know
00:51:37.200 it's
00:51:37.920 interesting
00:51:38.180 before the
00:51:38.960 internet
00:51:39.260 you didn't
00:51:40.520 really know
00:51:40.940 particularly
00:51:41.420 if you were
00:51:41.720 a newspaper
00:51:42.020 reporter
00:51:42.400 I think
00:51:42.720 in some
00:51:43.480 ways
00:51:43.640 in radio
00:51:43.940 you didn't
00:51:44.300 always know
00:51:44.560 what your
00:51:44.800 audience
00:51:45.100 was thinking
00:51:45.600 and so
00:51:46.540 you did
00:51:46.900 very much
00:51:47.300 write for
00:51:47.720 your editor
00:51:48.100 for your
00:51:48.420 publication
00:51:48.800 I mean
00:51:49.100 the big
00:51:49.440 change
00:51:49.800 to me
00:51:50.200 was that
00:51:50.640 over
00:51:50.860 that
00:51:52.040 you know
00:51:57.640 his opinion
00:51:58.260 I cared
00:51:58.680 about
00:51:59.000 was
00:51:59.480 Matt
00:52:00.420 Drudge
00:52:00.940 or Josh
00:52:01.780 Marshall
00:52:02.220 or Andrew
00:52:02.800 Sullivan
00:52:03.200 or some
00:52:03.580 big blogger
00:52:04.260 who could
00:52:04.600 link me
00:52:05.020 and I
00:52:05.740 think you
00:52:06.060 saw
00:52:06.280 I think
00:52:06.600 more than
00:52:06.980 people
00:52:07.200 realized
00:52:07.660 a lot
00:52:08.000 of
00:52:08.120 journalists
00:52:08.460 were writing
00:52:09.000 for them
00:52:09.540 were writing
00:52:10.100 for these
00:52:10.440 kind of
00:52:10.740 mega
00:52:11.020 internet
00:52:11.400 assignment
00:52:11.820 editors
00:52:12.200 who could
00:52:12.540 drive a lot
00:52:13.000 of traffic
00:52:13.520 and then
00:52:14.960 that became
00:52:15.460 replaced by
00:52:16.160 social media
00:52:16.780 and by
00:52:17.260 can I get
00:52:18.060 so and so
00:52:18.540 to tweet it
00:52:19.120 can I get
00:52:19.720 will this
00:52:20.360 get me
00:52:20.660 a lot
00:52:20.860 of retweets
00:52:21.380 a lot
00:52:21.620 of Facebook
00:52:22.000 shares
00:52:22.360 and that
00:52:22.660 can lead
00:52:23.000 you
00:52:23.280 I mean
00:52:24.160 it can pull
00:52:24.720 you to the
00:52:25.120 extremes
00:52:25.640 the shrillest
00:52:27.000 thing
00:52:27.800 the thing
00:52:28.140 that most
00:52:28.740 that plays
00:52:31.140 most to a
00:52:31.800 reader's
00:52:32.100 prejudice
00:52:32.400 is often
00:52:33.140 the thing
00:52:33.460 that gets
00:52:33.700 most widely
00:52:34.140 shared

00:52:36.860 of BuzzFeed.com
00:52:38.280 thank you so
00:52:38.760 much Ben
00:52:39.180 and really
00:52:39.780 enjoyed your
00:52:40.300 article
00:52:40.540 thank you
00:52:40.940 for writing
00:52:41.320 it
00:52:41.580 thank you
00:52:42.240 guys so
00:52:42.560 much for
00:52:42.820 having me
00:52:43.100 on
00:52:43.240 you bet
00:52:43.540 bye-bye
00:52:43.840 it's a
00:52:46.980 really
00:52:47.220 it's
00:52:47.900 I mean
00:52:48.300 this is a
00:52:48.700 nuanced
00:52:49.040 conversation
00:52:49.880 because there
00:52:51.820 are things
00:52:52.300 that are
00:52:52.620 true
00:52:52.940 and always
00:52:53.720 true
00:52:54.060 but there
00:52:56.500 are all
00:52:57.100 kinds of
00:52:57.540 things around
00:52:57.980 the edges
00:52:58.360 that we
00:52:58.700 argue about
00:52:59.380 that you
00:53:00.040 know
00:53:00.260 maybe we
00:53:01.300 should start
00:53:01.700 listening to
00:53:02.880 each other
00:53:03.340 a little bit
00:53:04.480 more and
00:53:05.020 understanding what
00:53:05.680 people are going
00:53:06.260 through and I
00:53:06.680 say this
00:53:07.220 to you
00:53:08.500 saying I
00:53:11.080 don't know if
00:53:11.620 I've always
00:53:12.140 listened to you
00:53:12.860 like I should
00:53:13.540 have I
00:53:14.240 have I
00:53:15.800 have judged
00:53:16.420 people harshly
00:53:18.160 and without
00:53:19.140 understanding and
00:53:19.880 without listening
00:53:20.860 and that's not
00:53:22.180 that's not healthy
00:53:23.420 for anybody
00:53:24.000 anyway let me
00:53:25.600 tell you about
00:53:25.920 our sponsor this

00:53:58.860 the people with
00:54:00.120 the right
00:54:00.620 experience and

00:54:59.880 I think that Ben
00:55:01.200 Smith articles a
00:55:02.500 really important
00:55:03.140 article especially
00:55:03.940 for young journalists
00:55:05.080 because he talks
00:55:07.020 about don't write
00:55:07.900 the things that you
00:55:09.540 think the audience
00:55:10.280 wants don't write
00:55:11.160 the things that you
00:55:12.040 think your editor
00:55:13.460 wants don't write
00:55:14.840 the things that are
00:55:15.560 going to you know
00:55:16.120 get you the lead
00:55:17.060 story don't
00:55:19.060 don't trust
00:55:20.000 anything that you
00:55:20.940 think you know
00:55:21.840 and I that is
00:55:25.800 to me a really
00:55:27.080 good thing coming
00:55:27.960 from a guy that a
00:55:28.860 lot of young
00:55:29.360 reporters look up
00:55:30.260 to and are
00:55:31.060 probably trying to
00:55:32.180 please right now
00:55:33.740 really sage
00:55:35.660 advice I want to
00:55:38.120 talk to you a
00:55:38.540 little bit about
00:55:39.120 Bank of America
00:55:40.680 for a second it
00:55:42.540 was Citigroup that
00:55:43.460 came out about
00:55:44.140 four or five
00:55:44.860 weeks ago and
00:55:45.940 said that we're
00:55:47.980 going to stop
00:55:48.260 doing transactions
00:55:49.060 with people that
00:55:51.560 are selling
00:55:52.080 firearms to
00:55:53.800 people under
00:55:54.600 21 that are
00:55:57.040 high capacity
00:55:58.320 magazines we're
00:55:59.520 not going to we
00:56:00.460 won't provide any
00:56:01.400 banking services so
00:56:02.680 no credit cards
00:56:03.940 no banking no
00:56:06.520 loans nothing
00:56:07.700 and I told you at
00:56:09.640 the time this is
00:56:10.760 disturbing because
00:56:12.220 they're really only
00:56:13.080 five banks in
00:56:14.640 America of any
00:56:15.760 real size and
00:56:17.540 and they are Bank
00:56:19.140 of America City
00:56:20.620 Citigroup J.P.
00:56:22.820 Morgan Chase Wells
00:56:24.700 Fargo and and
00:56:27.820 not Lehman Brothers
00:56:28.720 why do I keep
00:56:29.120 saying Lehman
00:56:29.580 Brothers Goldman
00:56:30.780 Sachs those are the
00:56:32.860 banks now Citigroup
00:56:35.560 came out a few
00:56:36.940 weeks ago and said
00:56:37.700 not going to do
00:56:38.880 banking services to
00:56:40.240 anybody that does
00:56:41.700 those things okay
00:56:43.280 Bank of America
00:56:45.380 has just come out
00:56:47.380 and said the same
00:56:48.560 thing in fact you
00:56:50.300 need to hear the
00:56:50.920 vice chairperson at
00:56:52.260 the Bank of America
00:56:53.160 yesterday making
00:56:54.560 this announcement
00:56:55.300 this is remarkable
00:56:58.980 this is now the
00:57:01.060 second bank and
00:57:02.320 they're saying they
00:57:03.000 will not make any
00:57:04.780 loans to firearm
00:57:06.820 manufacturers you
00:57:08.740 don't you're not
00:57:09.240 going to have to
00:57:09.820 you're not going to
00:57:10.780 have to repeal the
00:57:11.480 second amendment
00:57:12.020 you'll just make it
00:57:13.720 impossible through
00:57:14.840 banking to be able
00:57:17.380 to run a business
00:57:20.180 either making the
00:57:21.960 guns or selling the
00:57:23.140 guns this is a
00:57:25.560 constitutionally
00:57:26.560 protected firearm and
00:57:30.360 the banks are
00:57:31.140 deciding no we don't
00:57:33.380 really care we're not
00:57:35.240 going to provide any
00:57:36.900 kind of financial
00:57:37.680 services two out of
00:57:39.420 the big five back in
00:57:40.620 a minute Glenn
00:57:41.500 back mercury
00:57:43.500 this is the Glenn
00:57:48.380 back program after
00:57:49.460 2008 everybody knew we
00:57:51.440 should break these big
00:57:52.320 banks up into smaller
00:57:53.480 banks but what the
00:57:55.100 federal government did
00:57:56.040 was make the bigger
00:57:57.600 bank the biggest banks
00:57:58.720 even bigger so we
00:58:00.220 basically have about
00:58:01.380 five national banks we
00:58:03.440 have five giant banks
00:58:05.140 we have Citigroup Bank
00:58:06.960 of America JPMorgan
00:58:08.280 Chase Wells Fargo and
00:58:09.720 Goldman Sachs and if
00:58:11.540 those five banks decide
00:58:13.040 that they're going to do
00:58:14.280 or not do something it
00:58:15.800 changes our world well
00:58:18.200 and I'm sure there's no
00:58:21.040 one behind this Citigroup
00:58:24.200 came out a couple of
00:58:24.940 weeks ago and said
00:58:25.760 they're not going to
00:58:26.440 provide loans or any
00:58:29.000 financial services as
00:58:31.480 city they will not
00:58:33.340 provide any financial
00:58:34.200 services at all to any
00:58:35.940 store or group that
00:58:38.720 sells high capacity
00:58:41.260 magazines or sells
00:58:44.620 to any gun on to
00:58:46.980 anyone under 21 there
00:58:48.760 were a couple of other
00:58:49.440 things now I told you
00:58:51.380 at the time this is the
00:58:53.220 way to get rid of the
00:58:54.260 second amendment without
00:58:55.280 ever having to pass a
00:58:56.940 single law you just get
00:58:58.420 the five big banks to go
00:58:59.420 along well strike one
00:59:01.720 with Citigroup strike
00:59:03.540 two yesterday Bank of
00:59:05.920 America so now we have
00:59:07.620 two out of five Bank of
00:59:09.740 America here is the Bank
00:59:12.700 of America executive
00:59:13.780 yesterday listen what's
00:59:16.360 Bank of America's stance
00:59:17.400 on lending to gun
00:59:18.580 companies that
00:59:19.180 manufacture certain
00:59:20.060 weapons well let's just
00:59:21.780 start with we want to
00:59:24.440 contribute in any way we
00:59:25.520 can to reduce these mass
00:59:27.060 shootings I mean that's such
00:59:29.880 a tragedy in the United
00:59:31.180 States so that's number
00:59:32.960 one we do have a few
00:59:34.960 manufacturers of military
00:59:37.340 style firearms we're in
00:59:39.280 discussions with them we
00:59:41.020 have let them know that we
00:59:42.360 are going to it's not our
00:59:43.980 intent to underwrite or
00:59:46.820 finance military style
00:59:49.300 firearms on a go forward
00:59:50.580 basis
00:59:51.060 so does that mean that you
00:59:52.480 are going to get out of
00:59:53.560 lending to companies that
00:59:54.600 manufacture military style
00:59:56.140 weapons that's used for
00:59:57.540 civilians yes full stop
00:59:59.260 hundred percent yes full
01:00:01.740 stop 100 percent what is a
01:00:04.100 military style weapon can
01:00:05.260 anybody tell me because I
01:00:06.560 know in Afghanistan that
01:00:07.680 could be considered a rock
01:00:09.120 what is a military style
01:00:11.300 weapon one that looks fancy
01:00:14.240 one that is you know has is
01:00:16.520 black or camouflaged or green
01:00:18.520 long and pointy one that has a
01:00:21.620 high capacity magazine what
01:00:23.040 does a high capacity magazine
01:00:24.300 mean more than you'd need
01:00:26.580 how do we define that this
01:00:30.440 is this is happening now at
01:00:32.720 the banking level if the bank
01:00:35.280 this and this is why
01:00:36.320 cryptocurrency is so vital
01:00:38.460 because if these five banks
01:00:42.000 decide they want to do
01:00:43.680 whatever they want with the
01:00:44.700 second amendment you're not
01:00:46.360 going to be able you won't
01:00:47.700 have companies making
01:00:50.700 firearms because they won't
01:00:53.460 be able to get bank loans
01:00:55.680 every business needs a
01:00:58.240 revolving loan the time that
01:01:01.040 it takes to buy the stuff
01:01:02.560 make the stuff sell the stuff
01:01:04.400 get the money back they have
01:01:06.460 to pay their employees so they
01:01:07.760 need a revolving loan 30 60 90
01:01:10.400 days to pay their bills while
01:01:12.300 that that supply that they just
01:01:14.720 made sells how are you going to
01:01:17.420 keep your doors open if you
01:01:18.460 don't have a revolving loan
01:01:19.600 imagine if if Bank of America
01:01:22.580 came out and said today we just
01:01:25.420 we are not going to be financing
01:01:26.880 any of these news sites that deal
01:01:30.000 in in hate speech or or you know
01:01:33.900 violent speech you could say oh
01:01:36.580 well that's really good someone
01:01:39.320 smart in the room would say wait a
01:01:41.020 minute wait a minute how are you
01:01:42.560 how are you defining that let me
01:01:44.480 give you an example coming up in
01:01:46.360 just a few minutes Donald Trump's
01:01:48.260 biggest supporters these are the
01:01:49.880 self-proclaimed biggest supporters
01:01:51.400 of Donald Trump diamond and silk
01:01:53.360 going to be on the program for the
01:01:54.780 first time diamond and silk they
01:01:58.020 are they have I think they're
01:01:59.420 hysterical they are 100% in for
01:02:03.120 Donald Trump but I've never heard
01:02:05.200 anything dangerous from them I've
01:02:07.120 heard things I disagree with but
01:02:08.400 I've never heard anything dangerous
01:02:09.900 I enjoy them I like them I disagree
01:02:13.280 with them Facebook has decided to
01:02:17.260 censor them through the algorithm
01:02:18.940 well wait a minute wait a minute I
01:02:22.840 just heard the testimony he said that
01:02:24.820 they were only going to censor people
01:02:26.220 that were dangerous or engaged in hate
01:02:29.980 speech or terrorism I haven't heard
01:02:32.300 that from diamond and silk have you
01:02:33.860 the devil is always in the details and
01:02:39.020 the banks now aren't really revealing
01:02:42.300 the details they're just letting you
01:02:45.080 know let me tell you something if
01:02:48.840 America doesn't pull its money from
01:02:50.960 Citigroup and Bank of America and put
01:02:53.680 it into Chase or Wells Fargo and tell
01:02:57.280 Wells Fargo or Chase why they're doing
01:03:00.560 it we're gonna lose this battle because
01:03:04.880 you have two it was nuts when I said
01:03:07.820 this before any bank did it it was
01:03:11.240 nuts when I said one it's probably
01:03:13.640 still nuts now that I've said there's
01:03:15.720 two guys there's only five there's only
01:03:19.040 five big banks you're gonna pull your
01:03:24.260 money because when you get down to
01:03:25.340 Goldman Sachs you can't pull your money
01:03:26.700 from there I don't know anybody I don't
01:03:28.020 know where I find a Goldman Sachs branch
01:03:30.020 you've got JP Morgan Chase and Wells
01:03:35.880 Fargo they start down the same path of
01:03:40.060 Bank of America and Citigroup and they
01:03:41.980 start saying no financial services for
01:03:44.300 these people you're gonna lose the
01:03:47.540 Second Amendment and you will lose it
01:03:49.940 without a single vote in Congress or by
01:03:54.020 you
01:03:54.400 so we've got a couple of stories that I
01:04:04.240 just really want to get to one is in
01:04:06.360 Houston that we've been talking about
01:04:08.240 for the last couple of days we've just
01:04:09.480 not had a chance to get to it and the
01:04:11.140 other is a as a remarkable story that
01:04:14.280 Stu promises I haven't read it yet
01:04:16.120 because he's very excited about it it's
01:04:18.860 a it's about a mother of five it's a
01:04:20.400 wonderful family story yeah okay all
01:04:21.980 right it's a wonderful family story
01:04:23.780 about a mom uh-huh her name is Jordan
01:04:27.460 Smith Jordan Smith yes I like she and
01:04:30.360 now she is a single mom she's a single
01:04:32.800 mom mother of five I don't know if it's
01:04:36.380 a mother of five I didn't okay no I may
01:04:38.900 have read another story yeah maybe now
01:04:40.840 she's held a variety of jobs to pay for
01:04:44.340 for her role as a single parent it has
01:04:46.640 its challenges as we know she is served
01:04:49.380 as a cocktail waitress and an exotic
01:04:51.760 dancer okay and there's a lot of she
01:04:55.480 is I actually just one teenage daughter
01:04:56.880 looks like she has a teenage daughter
01:04:58.900 yes okay now she has decided to because
01:05:02.880 you could certainly ask for government
01:05:04.420 help you can go that direction or you
01:05:06.120 can go a different direction the
01:05:07.900 direction of this wonderful mother
01:05:08.960 Jordan that's probably a wrong
01:05:10.320 direction I'm gathering I are you for
01:05:13.640 big government is that what you're
01:05:14.740 saying well I'm no signed up for a new
01:05:18.740 website oh boy and this website is
01:05:21.640 called what's your price hmm she is
01:05:24.840 being paid to go on dates and maintain
01:05:27.800 platonic relationships with men so this
01:05:32.400 sounds totally wholesome I mean just to
01:05:35.240 go out and hang out with somebody it
01:05:36.720 seems fine sure that doesn't sound like
01:05:39.460 a good solid business model though I mean
01:05:43.260 what do you mean well I could make
01:05:45.980 friends with you know women and first of
01:05:50.580 all we know that's not true with you
01:05:51.840 you could well I can't make friends with
01:05:53.980 anybody no but you know you key that's
01:05:58.600 not a hard I mean why would you pay for
01:06:00.580 that well the men will either send her
01:06:02.760 this is her quote men will either send
01:06:05.220 me an offer or I can counter offer and
01:06:07.360 I'll send them an offer of like 150 or
01:06:09.240 $200 so you know this seems like
01:06:11.780 prostitution I don't because I don't
01:06:14.720 think did you miss the word platonic
01:06:16.020 yeah because that's what that that's
01:06:17.900 what the word is yeah article right okay
01:06:20.140 I don't know if she defines platonic like
01:06:23.220 I would define platonic it's possible
01:06:25.880 the men it's possible that people have
01:06:27.560 different okay all right sure and we're
01:06:29.780 open-minded right now she says she can
01:06:32.140 counter or she can they can accept the
01:06:34.340 offer it is a eBay type service hmm it's
01:06:39.220 just like a bidding thing but I don't do
01:06:41.340 less than a hundred dollars now part one
01:06:44.480 of this is an issue in that when you're
01:06:46.720 announcing to the national media what
01:06:49.600 you're the lowest price you will accept in
01:06:51.540 a negotiation the negotiation isn't
01:06:54.500 necessarily going to go well because
01:06:56.440 everyone's going to know you'll do this
01:06:58.340 for a hundred dollars so why would you
01:07:00.220 ever accept a $200 bid on what's your
01:07:04.480 price calm that's question number one I
01:07:07.060 have now the arrangement is fairly
01:07:09.880 similar according to Yahoo news to
01:07:12.240 seeking arrangement this is another set
01:07:14.280 I'm sure you're familiar with seeking
01:07:15.740 arrange yes this is a flower a little
01:07:17.720 different oh okay different than a
01:07:19.500 flower site okay it connects women with
01:07:21.260 sugar daddies sure did or even
01:07:25.220 comparable to being a prostitute no and
01:07:29.380 some people I don't know you you
01:07:31.300 somehow pulled that out very early in
01:07:33.860 this yeah well but that's not that's
01:07:36.260 that's not what I'm pretty much an
01:07:38.340 oracle when it comes to things like
01:07:40.420 this now this mom insists that the
01:07:43.180 process is different because of the
01:07:45.180 lack of pressure and legality she did
01:07:50.340 sign up for the sugar daddy website and
01:07:52.660 that's what we do have to we do have to
01:07:54.200 acknowledge all right okay did sign up
01:07:56.060 she left that life of sin she said it
01:07:58.440 was just garbage it was garbage it was
01:08:00.240 just garbage right she put it put a bad
01:08:02.180 taste in her mouth so she didn't have
01:08:03.940 really high expectations for what's your
01:08:06.040 price right she was nervous because she
01:08:09.340 didn't want the men to expect anything
01:08:11.560 sure but she to solve that problem she
01:08:14.900 took a an important step mm-hmm she
01:08:18.340 pointed out in her profile that it would
01:08:21.840 be no strings attached now I don't think
01:08:27.780 this is gonna end well I mean if she is
01:08:31.140 sincere in that I have a feeling we're
01:08:34.180 gonna find her body in a dumpster at some
01:08:35.660 point no okay it's certainly possible
01:08:38.640 maybe behind the bar we might find her
01:08:40.840 body in a dumpster but it's not gonna
01:08:42.240 work out well if you were going to a
01:08:43.980 site in which dates were offered for cash
01:08:48.220 aha and in the profile of the person mm-hmm
01:08:51.400 it said no strings attached I think what
01:08:55.500 you would think on that is it's on it's
01:08:58.760 sex without any connections afterwards
01:09:01.400 right like no strings attached means the
01:09:04.360 exact opposite of what she wants it to
01:09:06.300 mean which is a huge problem right if you
01:09:10.580 sure if what you want sure is someone who
01:09:13.720 just is gonna have sex and then there's
01:09:15.800 nothing afterwards right you'd say no look
01:09:18.240 let's hook up no strings attached look at
01:09:20.000 it another way maybe she's saying I'm not
01:09:22.860 a puppet of anybody and you can't tie me
01:09:25.320 up that may be what she's saying right
01:09:27.640 however she seems to not understand what
01:09:31.680 the phrase means this these words may not
01:09:33.900 think what you think they mean right so
01:09:36.640 keep using that phrase it's what do you
01:09:41.800 think it means so she now is saying that
01:09:44.860 that's because she just doesn't want the
01:09:46.600 people to expect anything no strings
01:09:48.120 attached means the opposite to that but
01:09:50.240 she could get lucky you could um what
01:09:52.860 she's I'm quoting the yahoo news story
01:09:55.000 what she's gotten out of the men she's
01:09:57.640 gone on dates with is nearly three
01:09:59.240 thousand dollars hold it just a second
01:10:01.080 there's a could I just have a sidebar here
01:10:03.340 your honor please do it could you read
01:10:06.280 that sentence again this is from google
01:10:07.820 news yahoo news yahoo news okay what
01:10:10.840 she's gotten out of the men she's gone on
01:10:13.660 dates with is three nearly three thousand
01:10:15.720 dollars now I mean I don't I mean I hate
01:10:19.940 to be a I mean I'm not the queen and I
01:10:22.500 don't speak the queen's English but I
01:10:25.620 don't recognize that even as English does
01:10:27.640 gotten get into a news story no I don't
01:10:30.940 think it should ill gotten goods if it's
01:10:33.520 in parade if it's in quotation marks
01:10:36.160 maybe I'll give you that all right but
01:10:37.640 that amount is only increasing with a
01:10:39.100 single more steady companion she's
01:10:40.740 connected with after a few dates with
01:10:42.580 one man in particular this mom says
01:10:44.420 she's taken on a more he's taken on a
01:10:46.880 more substantial role in her life from
01:10:50.400 buying her a truck to giving her money to
01:10:55.460 buying her teenage daughter Christmas
01:10:57.580 gifts oh dear the 36 year olds
01:10:59.680 companion has given her seventy six
01:11:03.400 hundred dollars so far although their
01:11:06.480 relationship is currently non-sexual the
01:11:10.860 divorced dad of grown children has been
01:11:12.600 introduced to Smith's friend and her
01:11:13.980 family he's definitely unique she says
01:11:17.000 he's always wanting to help out and
01:11:19.200 wanting to help me succeed because I'm a
01:11:21.120 single mom mm-hmm he's taken me and my
01:11:23.720 girlfriends out my daughters met him a few
01:11:25.920 times he's actually gonna buy her a car oh
01:11:29.620 you gotta get he sounds like a winner get
01:11:33.080 your daughter in with him right away
01:11:36.340 because nothing could possibly go wrong
01:11:39.540 there'd be no trouble you be gotten into
01:11:44.140 by the way just to wrap up the story in
01:11:47.540 the meantime she continues to date on the
01:11:49.240 around the site and have some extra
01:11:50.420 earnings while also doing some part-time
01:11:53.120 foot modeling on the side obviously the
01:11:56.580 story ends with part-time foot modeling
01:11:58.680 I don't believe that story I believe that

01:13:53.500 did this last year at Mercury one and it
01:13:56.940 is it is remarkable if you are 18 to 25
01:14:00.000 years old Mercury one is opening up our
01:14:02.820 library for a select few to research on
01:14:05.600 original historic documents from our
01:14:08.160 collection we will also be teaching
01:14:11.100 history David Barton and his son are
01:14:13.860 really heading this up it's it's really
01:14:16.320 remarkable first week begins May 28th
01:14:20.240 June 11th and then the last session is
01:14:22.600 July 9th if you would like to apply
01:14:25.220 there is a cost to this if you would
01:14:26.660 like to apply mercury one dot org slash
01:14:30.600 LTP leadership program LTP mercury one dot
01:14:36.660 org LTP Glenn back mercury
01:14:43.240 love courage truth Glenn back flee when you
01:14:56.980 can fight when you must oh there's the
01:15:00.480 American spirit that's the new school
01:15:03.300 safety plan at a school district near
01:15:05.360 Erie Pennsylvania the schools across the
01:15:08.240 country are taking a hard look at their
01:15:09.620 readiness for attack and this district is
01:15:12.220 arming their teachers with with a weapon in
01:15:18.100 the event they ever have to fight they're
01:15:19.880 gonna they well they you know those little
01:15:23.700 souvenir baseball bats that you have you
01:15:26.440 know you get sometimes in stadiums you
01:15:29.400 know they're about 12 or so inches and yeah
01:15:33.980 it's pretty much those they've given the
01:15:35.740 teachers these little teeny souvenir baseball
01:15:37.600 bats and you know so the teachers you know
01:15:40.800 are gonna have this glorified drumstick in
01:15:43.200 the event of a hobbit attack or a squirrel
01:15:45.280 invasion these bats are gonna come in really
01:15:48.080 handy handy I mean if a if a 12 inch Nolan
01:15:51.680 Ryan comes in and just starts pitching
01:15:53.800 baseballs those teachers are gonna be ready
01:15:55.780 and I think that's I congratulations the
01:16:00.080 district superintendent says teachers aren't
01:16:01.960 expected to confront the attacker with these
01:16:04.020 chopsticks on steroids you know which which is
01:16:08.580 good because you'd probably be killed but
01:16:12.640 the superintendent said quote the bats are
01:16:14.540 more symbolic than anything else that's why I
01:16:20.540 called the White House and I said President
01:16:22.200 Trump you know what forget about sending
01:16:24.740 cruise missiles over to Syria let's do
01:16:27.360 something symbolic let's just light off an
01:16:32.240 incredible firework show and it'll be symbolic
01:16:35.700 of us bombing the chemical weapons animal what
01:16:39.780 do you think I think it would work symbolism
01:16:42.920 usually works really well against people who are
01:16:46.760 nuts now you know we I guess they could have
01:16:51.200 gone with a regular size baseball bat or maybe
01:16:53.840 even a you know an aluminum bat you know that
01:16:56.820 would be it'd give you a fighting chance the
01:16:59.600 district's 500 teachers each received their 16
01:17:03.260 inch souvenir bat which I'm sure they all went
01:17:07.160 okay now I'm safe it's you know it's one thing to
01:17:13.120 joke about arming teachers it's another thing to
01:17:18.580 to arm them with souvenir bats and think that that
01:17:23.940 is a good idea because that's not that's a joke that'll
01:17:26.800 get you killed you know what I'm saying the reality
01:17:30.680 is the organizations that train teachers know how
01:17:33.620 to survive attacks and they recommend trying to throw
01:17:37.220 books chairs and any items hand by you know that you
01:17:41.900 have handy at the attacker so give everybody a baseball
01:17:44.940 bat what do you think another reality is the typical
01:17:49.700 classrooms only have one door so students and teachers
01:17:53.360 can easily be trapped during an attack even a miniature
01:17:57.060 bat even a miniature bat may not get them to safety but
01:18:01.200 it may be better than nothing okay all right so there's two
01:18:06.180 parts of this story at least somebody's doing something
01:18:09.200 right so it's nice to hear a school district
01:18:12.580 emphasizing the potential of fighting back
01:18:15.700 against an attacker rather than relying on just hiding in a
01:18:18.840 lockdown you know a little baseball bat is probably not the
01:18:23.720 best idea but according to a local survey the district's
01:18:27.240 residents are overwhelmingly in favor of giving guns to at least
01:18:31.840 some of the teachers and staff the problem is state of
01:18:36.340 Pennsylvania hasn't made that legal yet and the teachers
01:18:38.880 union they don't think here have another bat
01:18:41.660 so until that happens if you have kids in school in Pennsylvania
01:18:47.600 you better pray that a hobbit-sized
01:18:51.240 Nolan Ryan does not walk through your child's door
01:18:55.260 it's Thursday April 12th so you're listening to the Glenn Beck program this
01:19:07.420 week there has been a lot of talk about Facebook and a lot of questions
01:19:12.920 about Facebook and the way they run their algorithms
01:19:16.680 and are they hurting conservatives the answer is yes
01:19:20.400 but here's just a few of the questions
01:19:22.980 in May of 2016 Gizmodo reported that Facebook had purposely and routinely
01:19:27.920 suppressed conservative stories from trending news
01:19:30.640 including stories about CPAC including stories about Mitt Romney including
01:19:34.340 stories about the Lois Lerner IRS scandal including stories about Glenn Beck
01:19:39.740 in addition to that Facebook has initially shut down the Chick-fil-a
01:19:45.180 appreciation day page has blocked a post of a Fox News reporter
01:19:50.080 has blocked over two dozen Catholic pages and most recently blocked Trump
01:19:57.000 supporters Diamond and Silk's page with 1.2 million Facebook followers after
01:20:02.280 determining their content and brand were quote unsafe to the community
01:20:06.800 well they are so dangerous because I I I think they're hysterical myself
01:20:13.500 uh I'm a fan I don't always agree with them but I'm a fan
01:20:18.600 and I just wish they just weren't so dangerous building bombs or whatever it is
01:20:24.440 they're doing that only Facebook knows about
01:20:27.060 Diamond and Silk welcome to the program how are you
01:20:30.480 we're wonderful thank you for having us thank you for having us you're welcome
01:20:33.900 uh so what first of all let me start with just the human thing
01:20:37.900 what was it like to watch a congressional hearing and hear your name
01:20:43.720 mentioned over and over and over again
01:20:46.480 well you know what I was smaller from ear to ear we were smaller from ear to ear
01:20:50.820 because it's like okay so you have representatives up there
01:20:54.700 just fighting for the small voices like ours so we really appreciated it
01:20:59.500 um because we thought that you know we was happy that they were bringing it
01:21:03.140 to light because this sort of thing has been going on for quite some time now
01:21:07.320 that's right um I know because I watch you know obviously internet traffic for
01:21:12.380 because of what I do and I know that um conservative voices
01:21:16.180 are being squashed they can take your uh site you have 1.2 million followers
01:21:22.640 these are people who say I want to hear I want it in my feed I want to see Diamond
01:21:28.760 and Silk when they post something right and they have changed the algorithm can
01:21:33.180 you tell me and explain to the audience what has happened to you guys
01:21:35.940 okay so what happened was back in September of 2017
01:21:39.400 we noticed there was like a pause on our page where our information and content
01:21:43.640 wouldn't come up for about eight hours we reached out to um Facebook they resolved
01:21:48.200 that particular issue and then after that we noticed a significant drop in our reach
01:21:54.020 we noticed we started getting complaints from our followers and um stating that
01:21:59.100 they was not uh receiving their notification we're not showing up in their news feed
01:22:03.900 Facebook is making them ask um answer questions they can't like and follow our page
01:22:09.180 somebody has unlike them and unfollowed them and it wasn't them
01:22:12.680 just all kind of kooky things so we've been back and forth with Facebook for about what
01:22:17.680 almost seven months now um and then finally they made the decision
01:22:21.900 on April the 5th that we our brand and content was deemed unsafe to the community
01:22:29.140 and so when you look at our brand and content our brand is us we're Diamond and Silk
01:22:34.220 two black chicks down with politics love our country very patriotic
01:22:38.800 love our president and his agenda so what are you saying so we was taken aback by it
01:22:43.920 we was offended by it appalling we just it was just appalling what was written to us
01:22:48.800 and so we said you know what they told us we couldn't appeal it
01:22:51.360 so because they told us we couldn't appeal it Silk put it out there on social media
01:22:55.620 and then it just started gaining momentum from there
01:22:58.880 Silk I'm never I never ever want to do a tour or even this radio show
01:23:04.680 I would like to see if I could hire you away from Diamond because I I
01:23:09.800 I can't get Stu to do what you do I can't get Stu to do mm-hmm
01:23:14.240 that's right
01:23:15.080 and I absolutely love it
01:23:18.600 thank you for loving us thank you so much sweetie
01:23:21.100 okay so so tell me uh when you heard uh Mark Zuckerberg
01:23:26.440 say that you know no this is this is not happening
01:23:30.200 what'd you think well sad that he don't know his business he don't know the
01:23:37.960 business model and how these algorithms work these algorithms are put in place
01:23:42.920 to suppress conservative voices and I think that what he's trying to do is
01:23:47.360 turn Facebook into a political playground for Democrats and let them do
01:23:51.360 whatever they want to do while we suppress conservative voices and I know they
01:23:55.800 want to say oh it's a private entity but it's open to the public and when
01:23:59.700 you're open to the public you cannot discriminate you can't say one voice is
01:24:03.860 better than the other because there's nothing in your fine print that says this
01:24:07.400 platform is for liberals and we're only going to hear liberal point of views and
01:24:11.100 not conservative point of view that's right and not only that just you know
01:24:14.140 messing with us monetarily you know we understand that Mark Zuckerberg he's like
01:24:19.020 the American dream he's obtained the American dream well Diamond and Silk we
01:24:22.540 started from nothing and we want to also obtain the American dream but to have
01:24:26.360 someone pull the rug from underneath your feet and then take that feet and put it
01:24:29.780 on your neck and suppress you you can't make any money you you you can't build your
01:24:34.500 brand now our brand is labeled our brand is now been tarnished as unsafe to the
01:24:41.200 community like we were some type of terrorists or something what what does that
01:24:44.740 mean unsafe did did you when you when you were labeled that you called you had to
01:24:49.880 have called Facebook no we know we did call because they told us it was not
01:24:54.140 appealable we couldn't appeal it so that's why we took it to social media
01:24:57.920 because it was not appealable and we want to know the question well what is
01:25:01.900 unsafe with two black women supporting our president what's unsafe about that we
01:25:06.100 had specific questions for for them to answer because we wanted to know you know
01:25:10.640 we've been back and forth if they wouldn't have wrote it couldn't have been
01:25:13.900 appealed and maybe we would have went kept going back and forth but we've been back and
01:25:17.920 forth with these people for almost six months for six months i got it i got it six months
01:25:22.300 five days 29 hours 40 minutes and 43 seconds
01:25:25.720 so so where do you go from here well you know facebook has reached out to us they reached out
01:25:34.980 to us through twitter this morning uh when we woke up and got to our little destination and
01:25:40.600 saw all our twitter and what did they say what did this what did the tweet say um oh god i gotta
01:25:45.600 get it now you now you put me on blast that's you know you paraphrase it oh gee well it's basically
01:25:51.360 that they've been trying to reach out to us but they want to talk to us so i'm glad that they that
01:25:57.420 we see now where they've reached out to us and um and then we're going to take it from there we keep
01:26:02.620 everybody updated and posted because i really want to talk to mark zuckerberg i want to sit we want
01:26:07.600 to sit down face to face and talk to him because i really want him to understand that he's not just one
01:26:13.600 point of view it's you've got several points of views and another thing it's not just our pages
01:26:18.740 it's other conservative pages that's right that's seen a significant drop in their reach and that's
01:26:23.240 not fair if you built your platform one person at a time then those people deserve to see your
01:26:28.600 content especially if they want to see it and if facebook is for all ideas being there on facebook
01:26:34.960 then no algorithm should be in place to suppress some ideas that's right so we want to talk to him
01:26:41.560 first of all face to face that's right and then you know and then he's gonna have to rectify this
01:26:46.860 he's gonna have to make this right and we're gonna have to come to the table yeah so he'll know okay
01:26:51.600 this is what you need to do because you got to make this here right i have a feeling he would rather
01:26:57.600 go another round with congress than the two of you
01:27:00.700 but we're not so we're very nice i'm a very nice humble meek being but i do not like to be branded
01:27:09.140 don't brand me you know i don't want to make anybody feel uncomfortable oftentimes people of color
01:27:14.680 always get stigmatized pull yourself up by your footsteps don't do this don't do that but how is it that
01:27:20.300 when you start pulling yourself up by your bootstraps you have someone to come along and take those straps
01:27:24.920 and think they could use them to hang you out to dry no no no no no if he can obtain the american
01:27:30.680 dream everybody else can obtain the american dream if the liberal voices can be heard then the
01:27:35.640 conservative voices need to be heard too you're going to have to even out this here playing field or
01:27:40.060 dismantle the whole facebook that's right facebook will be the face without the book and the book
01:27:44.660 without the pages amen uh diamond and silk thank you so much keep us uh up to speed on on what is
01:27:54.680 happening and uh we uh strongly stand behind all voices being heard and uh it is thank you it is
01:28:03.800 not right what's happening to you god bless thank you so much and don't forget to go visit us at
01:28:08.020 diamond and silk.com i think that that was silk i'm telling you she's got i'm gonna make her an offer
01:28:16.040 i'm pulling her away i'm gonna pull her away that's right amen
01:28:21.820 i love these two i think they are so funny all right simply save home security be prepared for
01:28:32.420 anything that gets thrown your way storm takes out your power simply safe is ready intruder cuts

01:28:42.380 siren yep already been done they contacted police so maybe it's overkill maybe you don't need the you
01:28:48.960 know uh every scenario every possible bad case scenario but simply safe has done all the thinking
01:28:55.740 so you don't have to it will always be ready now simply safe could charge an arm and a leg for this
01:29:01.220 but it doesn't instead they only charge you what's fair the 24 7 professional security monitoring

01:29:34.820 glenn back mercury glenn back
01:29:46.560 so stew and i were just talking uh because he brought up a uh a fact uh about weird al yankovic
01:29:56.320 yes i try to keep off the air as much as possible i do talk about it quite a bit in the breaks yeah so
01:30:01.540 usually i don't get it back on the air but this time we're lucky 30 years ago today even worse
01:30:06.500 an all-time classic in music history featuring the single fat um a parody of michael jackson's bat
01:30:13.480 came out 30 years ago today 30 let me say that again 30 years ago i realized the other night
01:30:22.940 that when i was growing up i'm i think i'm now older than the people that fought in world war ii
01:30:29.580 when i was growing up and they seemed really old to me and that seemed like a long time ago then
01:30:39.180 people who were my age then are now looking at me going wow you are ancient and whoa 1970 what
01:30:48.780 i mean it's weird yeah it's still it's it's you know there's a couple people now i i get this all
01:30:54.540 the time when i'm watching sports bartolo cologne who's pitching for the rangers this year svelte man
01:30:59.100 young man of 44 i believe uh is still in the league meaning that there's still someone in the league
01:31:05.840 older than me but like we're down to like two there's like one kicker in the nfl one pitcher
01:31:12.500 in major league baseball it's almost i'm up to the owners
01:31:15.740 all the loans i have left are the owners uh it's uh yeah i'll tell you i was talking to somebody the
01:31:25.640 other day when you hit your 50s you start the world just starts to look different and you realize
01:31:33.940 like i just realized the other day i got about 15 years till i'm 70
01:31:39.960 what happens pretty fast doesn't it yeah wait a minute what 15 years 15 years in reverse doesn't
01:31:50.480 even get me to 9 11 jeez i mean wait a minute hold it hold slow things down just a bit closer to 70
01:31:59.300 than you are 9 11 yeah that's craziness that's craziness man that it it goes fast fast
01:32:08.880 might as well might as well do something of value i guess you know what you get to the point to where
01:32:14.200 you're like yeah i'm not gonna argue about that yeah don't care no i'm not gonna waste my time on
01:32:20.800 that one nope i mean i've i've found myself settling and i think maybe that's either just
01:32:30.040 extreme apathy and laziness or wisdom i'm not sure which it is sometimes they're the same thing it could
01:32:38.020 be you know there's there's i think it's wisdom i'm hoping that it's wisdom but i'm getting to this
01:32:44.500 place to where it's like yeah i remember that all the sleepless nights worrying about that one
01:32:52.320 no not really it's gonna be fine but i mean listen to our one of this program today yeah oh yeah no
01:32:57.520 no there's things that are worth freaking out about but just not the stuff that i used to freak out
01:33:01.800 about but i think that's what's important right is that you know you only have a limited amount of
01:33:05.860 time you might as well spend it you know chasing things that are important you ready for this one
01:33:10.720 you know me i'm a collect no i'm not a collector i'm a hoarder if i were no no no if i were poor
01:33:16.900 i'd be a hoarder because i have some wealth i'm an eccentric collector yeah okay right no i have
01:33:26.180 stacks and stacks and stacks of old newspapers i'm a hoarder okay and i've gotten to this place i was
01:33:33.960 walking around my house with my wife the other day and i'm like what the hell do we have all this
01:33:37.380 stuff where she's like i don't know you keep collecting or hoarding it and i'm like i know but
01:33:43.360 everything in my house has a story everything is like you know like the rat everything has i just i
01:33:49.880 am like what are we doing what are we doing what are we doing so for what i just gotta get rid of it
01:33:57.720 all and i just i just i just i'm i'm in this weird place to where in some ways i'm turning into into a
01:34:05.220 millennial because millennials are kind of like uh yeah i don't want all that stuff i'd rather instead
01:34:13.340 of having a big house i'd rather go travel i'd rather go do stuff me too me too hashtag me too
01:34:18.360 oh my gosh you're in it oh my gosh i'm a hashtag me too person you know i don't know how much i
01:34:25.000 believe that i think every generation comes up with this idea that they don't want the stuff and then
01:34:29.200 they find that they really do want the stuff i just saw an article today about instagram
01:34:32.960 and that instagram is now making millennials buy houses why they're starting to see pictures on
01:34:39.480 instagram of their friends buying houses so now all of a sudden they're getting much more interested
01:34:44.020 in buying houses it's a trap it's a trap this has been a long time coming for you though
01:34:51.620 these thoughts have been coming a long time with you yeah yeah all right back with more
01:34:57.980 useful information when we come back glenn beck mercury
01:35:05.100 you're listening to the glenn beck program i want you to uh go and listen to the podcast if you
01:35:21.620 missed our number one today it's really uh really critical that you listen to uh our number one
01:35:27.940 it's um you know it involves secession the declaration of independence and the 12th amam
01:35:35.020 mahdi and the reason why i bring this up is if you've been listening for a while and you
01:35:39.320 you are aware of what the 12th amam is and what the iranians believe that is um we would describe
01:35:46.060 as christians we would describe him as the antichrist it is their their uh end time
01:35:51.940 eschology is the exact opposite of ours their bad guy is our good guy and our good guy is their bad
01:35:58.660 guy it's remarkable um and you don't have to believe any of it you just have to know they do
01:36:04.500 um putin just called benjamin etnyahu and said please don't join this coalition against syria
01:36:11.360 and benjamin etnyahu said sorry i can't you're letting iran in to the middle east and you don't
01:36:18.960 have to take his word i want to quote i want to quote uh uh the uh secretary deputy secretary
01:36:26.680 general from the iranian republic guard he's talking now they're both they're operating in both
01:36:33.780 iraq and syria and he's talking about where they're at right now quote regional developments
01:36:40.540 are creating the groundwork for the arrival of the imam of time they are currently we are currently
01:36:46.920 busy completing the encirclement of israel and soon we will pray in the dome of the rock end quote
01:36:53.880 the imam of time is the mahdi or the 12th imam if you don't know what that is uh look for old shows
01:37:02.440 of mine on that for in youtube uh and join me tonight at 5 30 after the regular show uh for the news and
01:37:09.820 why it matters that's my lead story today welcome to pat gray glad to be here thank you will we see

01:37:20.680 i like i like to tune in and watch you on the blaze but but you're also just to my left which is
01:37:26.860 just like you are right now yeah right makes it very easy to watch you i am not to your left
01:37:31.900 ideologically however can i ask you guys can i ask you guys something yes you know we've been talking a
01:37:37.180 lot about facebook listening to you and watching you etc etc every day when we get together i have
01:37:43.400 a i just have this weird feeling that people are listening watching watching where's your evidence
01:37:48.480 come up with some evidence all right i'm just telling you i feel it anyway paranoid rockwell song
01:37:54.380 pat we great reference uh will you uh will you take us to katie texas i will because it's a fun
01:38:03.900 little trip uh very surprising little get together of the school board meeting but we've been following
01:38:09.440 this for uh a week or two now and uh we were absolutely stunned katie was having a school board
01:38:16.560 meeting and one of the citizens in the district got up and spoke they were talking about bullying
01:38:23.580 and here's what happened my name is greg barrett i graduated from ksd in 1983 i started in 1975
01:38:34.000 with mr lance uh my legal name is greg gay i was bullied unbelievably bullied i started out and i had
01:38:48.200 teachers that bullied me i had kids that bullied me even the coaches i had nobody to turn to
01:38:55.460 one day at lunch i had my head shoved in the urinal where i it busted my lip i had laid on the ground
01:39:06.740 in a fetal position as the kids kicked me i got up i rinsed my face off i walked out of the lunchroom
01:39:16.560 walked straight to the principal's office and he told me these kids will grow up someday they won't
01:39:23.960 always be like this but yet here i am covered in urine from laying on the ground underneath the
01:39:31.400 urinal my lip was busted and they sent me home well i went home and i got the 45 out of my father's
01:39:42.180 drawer and put it in my mouth because at this point i had nobody nobody in the school system
01:39:49.300 to help me is is is that the way this is going to be lance you were the one that shoved my head in the
01:39:59.040 urinal oh my gosh now that is the school superintendent yeah so imagine now you're the school superintendent
01:40:07.760 and you are talking about bullying and we got to get serious on bullying and you see this guy come up
01:40:12.540 you may not recognize him you might not have seen him since 1983 but when he says his name if you were
01:40:19.040 that bully you absolutely remember when he says uh you know i was laying there and when urine while
01:40:26.660 everybody was kicking me you remember that oh i yeah even if you did it all the time and a bully like
01:40:33.340 that probably did um but you would remember that incident so no one this doesn't go you know much
01:40:41.280 further on that night later yeah later in the week they have another school board meeting and he
01:40:46.500 addresses what lance addresses here he is well i understand the perception please know my reaction
01:40:55.460 this past monday night was one of shock it wasn't one of disrespect or insensitivity i was purely shocked
01:41:07.360 uh you know to the hometown that raised me and where i now proudly serve i regret the negative attention
01:41:18.140 that's been brought to this community in the past week
01:41:22.960 ultimately ultimately
01:41:31.540 ultimately
01:41:33.740 i'll be judged by one person yes yes and that is god my lord and savior
01:41:43.120 that's who will judge me right but we're not talking about ultimately we're talking about your
01:41:50.320 position now as katie superintendent of public schools who's trying to fight against uh bullying
01:41:55.040 yeah who's making 375 000 now he he claims he doesn't even know this guy he claims it didn't happen
01:42:03.060 he doesn't know him two witnesses have come forth uh one is a circuit judge in alabama now
01:42:09.700 says it absolutely happened and this guy was a big bully in high school in junior high in high school
01:42:14.580 and the second uh is a is a katie resident named christopher dolan who claims he was in the bathroom
01:42:20.440 and saw it all happen and he has since apologized uh to greg gay for not intervening and trying to help
01:42:27.860 him so it's it's splitting that community in half because how the people was gone how is that possible
01:42:35.900 i know community in half how it should be pretty clear cut yeah i mean even if you
01:42:40.320 you could say well he's changed since then then he needs to step forward and say i did this my gosh
01:42:47.200 i am sorry and show the empathy that christ would show especially when you're talking about bullying
01:42:53.200 in the school district wouldn't that be the quintessential thing to do actually would be a
01:42:58.520 great way to talk about it it would hey i did these things every even the kids that are involved in
01:43:04.220 this aren't necessarily maybe even bad kids maybe they wind up being upstanding members but we need
01:43:09.140 to stop it before it starts in an unrelated issue but it ties in because it goes to his character when
01:43:15.220 he was 18 years old he after a drug and alcohol party he was speeding through a neighborhood taking
01:43:20.100 his girlfriend home and a guy who had just uh arrived home with his wife from dinner was getting
01:43:26.140 out of his car was on the driveway and yelled hey slow down so he slammed on his brakes backed up
01:43:31.580 and came over and beat the man into a five-day coma holy crap broke his ribs fractured his skull i
01:43:39.600 mean it was serious were there charges uh he was sued for it uh the suit was what they don't even
01:43:46.680 i've never seen an explanation for why it was dropped but it was dropped he come from a powerful
01:43:51.440 family uh probably probably uh and he was just a kid who felt entitled he says in 1990 he found god and
01:44:00.500 that's fine that's fine that's fine again that's not the issue look if i said to you if i said to
01:44:06.120 you hey you know i you know i'm a great guy and somebody came up and said uh you know i knew glenn
01:44:12.720 in 1985 he fired me for bringing him the wrong pen okay i know the name of that guy tom russell
01:44:20.420 okay not his real name a name i gave to him i screw people's names all the time oh really really is
01:44:27.380 that's true it's actually yeah you remember russell the love muscle was actually the name we
01:44:31.760 gave him so anyway that's actually a compliment yeah yeah so we've we've i fired people i was i picked
01:44:40.300 russell up by the tie one time and said i'm gonna eat you for effing breakfast i was not a good guy
01:44:46.820 tom and i are good friends tom's in harrisburg now and we're good friends and when i changed i made
01:44:55.200 the point of reaching out to him and saying man i'm sorry gotta be restitution right yeah you gotta
01:45:00.380 gotta go to your victims and say i am i'm sorry man i am sorry yeah i'm still named i'm still named
01:45:06.160 stew and no apologies none no not one my wife calls me stew it's not my name yeah but i'm that happened
01:45:14.700 because the friend i was with was drunk no that don't blame vinny for that it was your fault vinny was
01:45:20.700 drunk it was not it was not his fault at all you screwed it up and because he said i said who is
01:45:26.760 trying to say steve and i heard stew and i called you stew and i contend the first time i called you
01:45:36.400 stew maybe you don't say anything the third time maybe when you're working side by side every day at
01:45:44.700 some point you say you know glenn i just have to say my name my name's nuts yeah i died that happened
01:45:49.880 you told me that yes of course no that's not true anyway it's still the problem has been going on a
01:45:59.740 long time this is a problem this is a problem for katie yeah if look yeah we all have to have christian
01:46:07.580 compassion but we all have to ask for forgiveness yeah if that guy would have because i when i first saw
01:46:14.380 that second clip and he starts to cry i'm thinking this guy could pull out a gun and kill himself he
01:46:19.160 feels so bad yeah no no he doesn't and he's denying it with witnesses when you further when you hear the
01:46:26.060 first clip at the very end you hear somebody giggle and everybody says it was him and that's why he
01:46:31.800 addresses it that my reaction wasn't one of uh insensitivity i was shocked wait you giggled over
01:46:38.700 that story that was a heart-wrenching gut-wrenching story you don't giggle after that i don't i don't
01:46:46.060 care what your state of mind is and what are you shocked about if you know you're a bully
01:46:49.820 pretty good chance somebody is eventually going to mention it to you so how is especially it's that
01:46:55.820 bad is his name greg or gary what was his name his name was greg greg he goes by barrett apparently
01:47:00.320 now so so how is he doing i mean have you heard anything from him i mean i don't know he was
01:47:07.380 disgusted with the response you i would imagine he was imagine this you were told by a principal
01:47:12.580 something that you didn't believe at the time but you had to believe it was going to happen you then
01:47:19.300 see this guy go up the school board yeah and he's never been held responsible for it nobody's ever said
01:47:26.400 anything he's making 350 000 a year and he's lecturing about bullying yeah you would think
01:47:34.840 you know what i can't take it anymore i have to say something you say something and you realize
01:47:41.040 the principal was wrong he's still exactly the same how do you how do you deal with that yeah
01:47:50.440 and it's you know in a world where one word that somebody uttered 40 years ago in jest
01:47:56.880 loses somebody not just a job but their entire career and they're they're shunned almost from
01:48:04.020 society they're never around anymore you don't even see their name mentioned but all of that
01:48:09.720 and i have to tell you matter and i have to tell you not not that i want um lance to be fired i mean
01:48:15.440 that's not my position to even say that i just want lance to show some contrition whether that
01:48:23.460 means he loses his job or not doesn't to me that doesn't matter but somebody should gather around
01:48:28.540 and go you know what dude you're kind of a pariah in the community and i mean that that's pretty
01:48:32.200 hurtful and there's a lot of people here that verify some say they were there i mean dude you know
01:48:38.560 you you where's your contrition then you can embrace him it'd be a great lesson too to teach the
01:48:44.840 school district about bullying and kids yeah and kids what are you better if he went if he
01:48:50.120 weren't around to the schools in the katie system and talked about his experiences and how deeply he
01:48:55.820 regrets it now wouldn't that be a powerful thing without that the less the two of them could get
01:49:01.660 together you imagine they could go on a tour all around the country right you know look i was horrible
01:49:07.260 to this man and i that would be something else i've lived with it my whole life he brought it to
01:49:13.780 light i i confessed and i have been broken in half and now we're friends imagine how good that would
01:49:22.240 be and without that it's just the message is you can do this and there'll be no repercussions oh
01:49:27.140 there's gonna be successful there's gonna be a kid that is being kicked by a bully and a urinal
01:49:31.820 and he's gonna say and someday i'm gonna make 375 000 a year and i'm gonna keep doing it to people
01:49:39.080 like you luckily with inflation that's not gonna be anything by then so let me tell you about gold
01:49:45.820 line volatility in the stock market wild swings in bitcoin the constant turmoil in washington the
01:49:55.320 the the the possibility of real war with russia this changes everything this is why gold has come
01:50:04.600 off its best year since 2010 uh this is why gold is always a safe haven when when things go unstable
01:50:13.460 that's when gold really comes into play now i have never purchased gold as an investment although i have
01:50:19.680 made good money on gold i don't i don't buy gold as an investment i buy it as an insurance policy
01:50:26.040 it's not an all-in strategy you don't take everything and put it all into gold you spread out your risk you
01:50:31.800 have some in equities you you know you have some in gold you have some cash in the bank you might have
01:50:38.700 some property in your house or whatever it is but you spread it out so if one thing goes you don't have
01:50:44.760 everything there gold when everything else goes down gold usually goes up especially when the thing
01:50:52.660 that is going up is inflation call gold line now ask them about their program for the iras uh ask them
01:51:00.860 about their uh their gold bullion that you can get from the canadian uh mint just by calling them
01:51:06.600 they're going to give you this great copper coin it is a saint godden's copper coin it is really really
01:51:12.440 beautiful just for calling just to ask them uh 1-866-GOLDLINE 1-866-GOLDLINE or goldline.com
01:51:20.600 glenn back mercury
01:51:24.720 glenn back welcome to the program tomorrow i want to tell you about a guy who runs a bear fund
01:51:42.420 uh in uh on wall street who says look i i thought there was going to be a melt up he said uh so i
01:51:50.840 was actually you know very bullish on the stock market for a while but uh what's happening in
01:51:54.800 syria uh and what's happening with the fed right now because of the trade wars he said i think is
01:52:00.040 very very disturbing we should probably spend a few minutes uh talking about that on tomorrow's
01:52:06.160 program we'll see you at five o'clock only on the blaze.com slash tv
01:52:12.160 glenn back mercury
01:52:17.780 you
01:52:20.160 you
