Transcript

00:00:00.000 The Blaze Radio Network, on demand, Glenn Beck.
00:00:08.600 I am, uh, I'm going to plant my flag today in a hill that I have said many times, but
00:00:21.760 we need to now defend this hill. More voices, not less. More voices, not less. It is not my
00:00:40.920 place or your place to silence anyone. I'm going to have to check with our HR department
00:00:53.120 today. I mean, I don't know if we have the latest fad worked into our employee contracts
00:00:57.520 yet. The old retroactive, oops, I didn't mean to hire that person due to old tweets, and
00:01:03.720 now the social media mob is dogpiling on us and, you know, pushing our face into the dirt
00:01:08.740 clause. I don't know if, do we need to update that? It feels like this should be the thing
00:01:15.940 now for everyone that could be considered a public figure, because we're all public figures
00:01:21.080 now. And if you're at a well-known company, well, you're doomed. If the social media mob
00:01:27.800 has a cause or a torch to bear, then they're going to pick a person. They're going to scroll
00:01:34.000 the Twitter feed and pray for any missteps. They're going to expose them all and then
00:01:41.380 watch them burn. And some of them, we're going to feel really good about watching them burn.
00:01:46.340 We are. It happened to James Gunn. Should it have? In my opinion, no. Disney knew what they
00:01:55.720 were getting when they hired him. But beyond that, the guy apologized in 2012. The guy hasn't
00:02:05.140 repeated any of it, and his apology was because he found it offensive, not because somebody outed
00:02:11.740 him. But I don't know about you. Judge not, lest you be judged. Does anybody notice the fires
00:02:21.820 that are starting to burn? I'm not a social media judge. I'm not a social media judge. I'm
00:02:31.600 not a social media jury, and I'm not a social media executioner. We don't know anything about
00:02:39.240 James Gunn. I don't know a darn thing about him. I know nothing about what he believes. I know
00:02:45.060 nothing about him, what he is today, who he is today. I have no idea the circumstances surrounding
00:02:51.340 something as the ridiculous social media posts. And some of them are horrible. But I don't
00:03:00.220 know. The mob won the battle, and Gunn was fired. And this era of social media lynchings
00:03:10.980 is now snowballing. Because now, finally, we're good at it, too. Revenge.
00:03:23.360 Yesterday, the New York Times announced that they had hired Sarah Zhang to their editorial
00:03:28.900 board. Now, the New York Times, obviously very high-profile company, and Sarah is somewhat
00:03:34.260 of a public figure. So, of course, the social media hit squad went into action, just as they
00:03:40.200 do with us. Immediately after the announcement of her hiring without missing a beat, some of
00:03:47.560 Sarah's old tweets, three years ago, she tweeted some racial comments about white people, and
00:03:51.780 they began to surface. And they are despicable. They're despicable. I suppose I could read them
00:03:59.540 in several different ways. The New York Times dismisses them. They would not dismiss them if they were
00:04:10.500 anything about transgendered or homosexual or black, Hispanic. They would not dismiss them. They would
00:04:18.780 have never hired her. But that's them. That's them. Life is not about them. Life is about you. Life is about
00:04:30.780 me. My life is about the decisions I make, not the decisions others make. I cannot control the New York
00:04:37.640 Times. I am not going to change the people in New York. I am not going to change the people in Hollywood. I'm not
00:04:43.620 going to do it. But they are changing us. I am not going to become them. But Glenn, we just got good at
00:04:56.420 this. We're making an impact. We hated this. This was unfair and wrong when they were doing it to us.
00:05:04.260 Should this editorial writer be able to work at the New York Times? Should they have fired her?
00:05:16.600 I don't know. I'm not there. I don't know her.
00:05:23.580 The New York Times issued a statement yesterday defending their hire. Firing her would only encourage
00:05:29.820 this kind of behavior to continue to snowball. Well, if you base it just on that, you're right.
00:05:35.480 However, I wonder if I were hired as an editorial writer for the New York Times, if they would have the
00:05:42.080 balls to stand up like that for me. I highly doubt it. But again, that's them.
00:05:52.260 Did you see the social media war that was going on last night? Did you see what it's doing to us?
00:05:58.360 There were actual journalists, some respected, some not so much, actually defending racism.
00:06:07.200 They were seriously trying to make the case that racism isn't racism as long as it's coming from a
00:06:13.360 minority directed at the majority. That's insanity. Racism does not come from one race.
00:06:20.500 Racism comes from all races. Racism is a human problem.
00:06:30.560 So one of the most idiotic things I have ever heard, and I am not going over the cliff with the rest of humanity.
00:06:37.640 I am planting my flag here. This is insanity.
00:06:40.660 It is insanity to say that bigoted words are somehow or another not bigoted if they come from another race.
00:06:49.480 That is wrong. I'm not going over the cliff with the rest of humanity.
00:06:54.920 And I am also not joining the mobs demanding somebody be fired for something that they said on Twitter.
00:07:02.160 You know who acted like an adult this week?
00:07:10.200 CBS.
00:07:12.140 Now, I don't know if they would have done it for anybody else except their CEO.
00:07:17.080 Don't know if they would have done this for anybody else that was expendable.
00:07:20.320 Don't know if they would have done it. I highly doubt it.
00:07:22.380 If I were on CBS and these charges came up, I'd be gone.
00:07:32.140 But you know what they did?
00:07:34.560 They said, we have an independent council coming in to look into all of it.
00:07:38.820 Look into all of it.
00:07:39.960 And if we find it to be true and a problem and against our principles, we'll fire the person.
00:07:56.720 If we can't get people to understand that racism is human,
00:08:05.700 you really think you're going to get people to understand that hatred is human?
00:08:12.000 That hatred and violence doesn't come from just one side?
00:08:16.140 Because I have news for you.
00:08:17.860 It doesn't.
00:08:19.260 Anybody who thinks, well, our side isn't violent.
00:08:21.740 Really?
00:08:22.800 Watch.
00:08:24.160 Watch.
00:08:28.020 The left has had a long time to get good at it and be dismissed.
00:08:34.100 Our side, I think, would be just as bad if we hadn't been called to task every step of the way.
00:08:43.140 They've never been called to task.
00:08:48.600 And God forbid, and I know a lot of people will disagree with me on this,
00:08:53.400 but God forbid the tables ever turn.
00:08:55.480 Because if this kind of stuff, if this, if this continues the way it is continuing,
00:09:05.520 we will round each other up.
00:09:08.880 It just depends on who grabs the pendulum.
00:09:11.400 The tribal nature that we are living in right now,
00:09:18.800 this tribal community where we are headhunters is so far beneath Americans.
00:09:28.780 It's frightening that we don't see it.
00:09:30.680 I don't know, Sarah Zhang.
00:09:36.860 Were her comments racist back in 2014?
00:09:39.520 Yeah.
00:09:39.880 Yeah, they were.
00:09:40.980 In fact, they were racist at any time.
00:09:43.200 But I can't testify to what she meant, who she was, who she is today.
00:09:50.800 Maybe the New York Times can.
00:09:53.560 Maybe they can't.
00:09:55.120 Maybe, I know this is going to go out on a limb,
00:09:58.060 maybe the New York Times is, they're just hypocrites.
00:10:01.160 After all, they did fire another journalist, Quinn Norton,
00:10:06.820 earlier this year when old tweets surfaced about, of her saying slurs about African Americans and gays.
00:10:14.020 She was out.
00:10:19.760 But I do know this.
00:10:22.400 If we're ever going to get through all of this,
00:10:24.240 if we're going to reach some kind of common ground,
00:10:27.160 I'll forget all of that bull crap.
00:10:31.160 Social media mob attacks are wrong.
00:10:39.980 These are assassination tactics.
00:10:46.280 Do we even know the difference between right and wrong anymore?
00:10:48.820 Because it's not about them.
00:10:50.580 I don't care about changing their mind.
00:10:51.820 I'm never going to change the New York Times mind.
00:10:53.340 Never.
00:10:54.400 Never.
00:10:54.800 Not going to change the minds of those who are,
00:10:57.640 who have a deep-seated hatred for the white culture.
00:11:04.480 Not going to change their mind.
00:11:06.140 They're not going to listen.
00:11:16.960 But those people are not going to change me.
00:11:19.160 If you've been listening to me for a long time,
00:11:27.660 this is it.
00:11:30.040 You are now on the other side of the threshold.
00:11:34.240 And you are either going to go over the cliff with the rest of humanity,
00:11:37.660 or you are going to stand.
00:11:39.720 I refuse to go over the cliff with the rest of humanity.
00:11:47.880 It is only going to get harder from here.
00:11:52.840 You must exercise the muscles to be able to stand where you have always stood.
00:12:01.020 We are not part of a lynch mob.
00:12:07.560 No matter how good it feels,
00:12:09.560 no matter how many times the other side has done it to us,
00:12:13.160 I will not be that person.
00:12:18.480 It's Friday, August 3rd.
00:12:25.300 This is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:12:36.180 Cowardice.
00:12:39.100 Is it cowardice?
00:12:41.260 Was it indifference?
00:12:42.520 One of the best-known speeches
00:12:49.860 from the Second World War
00:12:53.380 began circulating in the 1950s.
00:12:59.160 And there's different versions of it.
00:13:02.620 Because it was a speech.
00:13:04.460 It wasn't a poem.
00:13:07.500 First, they came for the socialists,
00:13:09.140 but I didn't speak out because I wasn't a socialist.
00:13:13.260 Then they came for the trade unionists,
00:13:14.920 but I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
00:13:17.320 Now, you have to remember,
00:13:20.660 socialists,
00:13:21.960 socialists and communists
00:13:25.780 were fighting.
00:13:29.280 And so there's a debate going on
00:13:33.200 whether Niemöller actually said socialist or communist.
00:13:36.980 Most likely it was communist
00:13:38.700 because that was the enemy of the state at the time.
00:13:41.420 Because they were national socialists.
00:13:44.700 So was this yet another trick
00:13:47.540 of historians trying to
00:13:49.880 make socialists look like the victim here?
00:13:53.780 Socialists were not the victim.
00:13:56.340 Communists were the victim
00:13:57.880 because the national socialists
00:14:00.220 rounded up the communists.
00:14:03.040 So first they came for the communists.
00:14:05.080 But remember, this is political.
00:14:07.160 This is political.
00:14:07.940 It was those people
00:14:09.560 that were causing all of the problems.
00:14:12.000 It was those people.
00:14:13.000 They were communists.
00:14:14.460 They're communists.
00:14:15.300 They're working with Russia.
00:14:16.920 They want to take over the whole world.
00:14:21.340 Communism is evil.
00:14:22.800 We're over here.
00:14:24.000 We just want universal health care.
00:14:27.420 We just want all of the things
00:14:29.520 that they want,
00:14:30.620 except we're not working for Russia.
00:14:32.780 That was the difference.
00:14:33.920 We are nationalists.
00:14:35.480 We are German workers first.
00:14:38.880 We are not workers of the world unite.
00:14:42.180 Everything else was the same.
00:14:46.000 The difference was international or national.
00:14:49.040 And so first,
00:14:49.940 the national socialists
00:14:51.300 came to round up the communists.
00:14:53.840 But if you were part of the national socialists,
00:14:56.020 you knew it was their philosophy
00:14:58.180 that was going to end in disaster.
00:15:00.520 It was anti-German.
00:15:03.480 We have to round them up.
00:15:06.280 And as long as I'm not part of that freak group,
00:15:10.040 it's fine.
00:15:17.800 Then they came for the trade unionists.
00:15:19.800 Where were the people?
00:15:29.580 Where were people
00:15:30.580 when they started rounding people up?
00:15:37.020 Communists.
00:15:39.100 Well, the church.
00:15:40.840 The church didn't stand for the communists
00:15:42.540 because the communists,
00:15:43.320 they were atheists.
00:15:45.480 The communists didn't like religion.
00:15:47.020 Communism thought that religion
00:15:49.060 was one of the bigger problems.
00:15:51.160 These are opponents of our religion.
00:15:53.040 If we don't round these people up,
00:15:55.240 if we don't stop them,
00:15:56.880 they're going to put us out of business.
00:15:59.000 They're going to round us up.
00:16:01.940 We have to stop the communists.
00:16:04.600 So the churches didn't say anything
00:16:06.420 because they were opponents of religion.
00:16:08.820 They were the enemies of Christian.
00:16:12.320 Christianity,
00:16:13.300 any kind of religion really
00:16:15.100 that wouldn't bow down to the Fuhrer.
00:16:18.260 Within six months
00:16:19.520 of the Fuhrer becoming the Fuhrer,
00:16:22.380 they took down the pictures of Christ
00:16:24.700 on the Christian altars
00:16:27.040 and put a picture of the Fuhrer up.
00:16:31.980 See, first they came for the communists
00:16:35.460 who were trying to stop these guys
00:16:37.580 and saying,
00:16:38.400 no, no, no,
00:16:38.840 that's not who they are.
00:16:40.020 They're not your friends, Christians.
00:16:41.580 But the Christians knew
00:16:44.500 that the other side was worse
00:16:45.860 and so I'll just get into bed.
00:16:47.420 The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
00:16:50.360 But as it turned out,
00:16:51.480 they weren't really your friend, were they?
00:16:58.480 Should I be my brother's keeper?
00:17:00.080 I mean, look.
00:17:11.080 These people are sick.
00:17:12.900 They're incurable.
00:17:14.280 We are having financial troubles.
00:17:17.040 We've got wars going on.
00:17:18.640 We can't afford to pay
00:17:20.040 for those incurable diseases.
00:17:22.460 They are just eating
00:17:23.540 through everybody else's money.
00:17:25.040 Your kid won't be able to have.
00:17:26.960 Oh, well, I guess out of concern.
00:17:32.360 I mean, I do have a responsibility
00:17:34.600 and they are incurable.
00:17:41.060 Next they came for the incurable
00:17:42.820 and I said nothing
00:17:43.680 because I was still close to a cure.
00:17:51.900 This poem, this speech,
00:17:54.340 this warning from history
00:17:56.260 is happening now.
00:18:00.460 Let me tell you about our sponsor
00:18:01.440 this half hour.
00:18:02.020 I want to thank CarShield
00:18:02.800 for being a sponsor
00:18:04.740 and CarShield is just amazing.
00:18:07.460 When was the last time you had
00:18:08.360 you have an old car?
00:18:09.300 You have an MG?
00:18:10.700 Yeah.
00:18:11.360 What a stupid move that was.
00:18:13.800 Yes.
00:18:14.340 What year was it?
00:18:15.760 1978.
00:18:16.380 I don't even know
00:18:16.640 if CarShield goes back that far.
00:18:19.160 But yeah, it was 1978
00:18:21.280 and it runs
00:18:22.400 occasionally.
00:18:23.940 About 19% of the time.
00:18:25.640 Yeah.
00:18:25.840 When you buy an old car,
00:18:26.840 you're like,
00:18:27.160 oh, this is going to be so cool.
00:18:28.360 No, it's not.
00:18:28.860 No, it's not.
00:18:29.600 Nope, nope, nope.
00:18:30.060 The cars have improved.
00:18:31.360 Yes, they have.
00:18:32.180 There's a reason.
00:18:33.060 There's a reason why
00:18:33.780 you see very few of them
00:18:34.560 on the road.
00:18:35.380 Anyway, if you have CarShield,
00:18:37.340 I don't know if they'd even
00:18:38.340 take an old MG
00:18:39.420 because that was never good
00:18:40.840 even when it was new.
00:18:41.880 But if the car breaks down
00:18:43.320 after your warranty expires,
00:18:45.080 you could be out of pocket
00:18:46.120 for thousands of dollars
00:18:47.360 and you won't be
00:18:48.100 with CarShield.
00:18:49.400 Visit CarShield.com now
00:18:50.920 or call 800-CAR-6100,

00:18:56.800 That's 800-CAR-6100

00:19:00.880 promo code back.
00:19:02.600 Deductible may apply.
00:19:05.860 You know, I, uh,
00:19:07.920 this is really hard
00:19:09.420 and it's only going to get harder
00:19:10.660 because these tweets
00:19:12.380 from the New York Times,
00:19:13.460 absolutely racist.
00:19:16.420 Absolutely, without a doubt,
00:19:19.240 racist.
00:19:20.500 I have no question about it.
00:19:22.440 Read those,
00:19:23.100 read all the same sentences
00:19:24.180 and insert the word black
00:19:25.120 for the word white
00:19:25.720 and tell me if it's racist.
00:19:27.300 It's the easiest way to test it.
00:19:28.560 If you're on the left
00:19:29.140 and you're like,
00:19:29.560 I'm not sure,
00:19:30.580 you know, there's different
00:19:31.500 arguments for the power
00:19:33.960 of prejudice
00:19:34.700 and if you have that point
00:19:36.420 and a lot of people do,
00:19:37.880 just read it,
00:19:38.640 just, you know what,
00:19:39.620 in your own car,
00:19:40.740 by yourself,
00:19:41.820 say all the sentences out loud
00:19:43.320 but insert the word black
00:19:44.300 and see how you feel.
00:19:46.000 See?
00:19:46.800 I tell you what,
00:19:47.740 tweet them
00:19:48.200 with the word black in it
00:19:49.820 and see if your friends
00:19:51.360 will be happy with you.
00:19:53.380 You'll have a lot of vacation time
00:19:54.460 coming up.
00:19:55.380 It's going to be,
00:19:55.880 it's going to be,
00:19:56.500 this is going to get harder
00:19:57.720 and harder for us to do
00:19:58.960 to take this stand
00:20:00.320 but we can't go over the cliff
00:20:02.220 with everyone else.
00:20:03.280 We conflate every issue now
00:20:12.220 and we have to stop doing that.
00:20:13.640 We have to break issues down
00:20:15.080 and this New York Times
00:20:18.720 editorial writer
00:20:22.380 that the New York Times
00:20:24.580 refuses to fire
00:20:25.520 and in some ways
00:20:28.160 I say rightly so
00:20:29.620 in other ways
00:20:30.500 the other part of me says
00:20:33.780 are you kidding me?
00:20:34.960 But let's tear it apart.
00:20:38.620 Let's look at these things
00:20:39.880 and tear this one issue apart
00:20:42.520 instead of just being outraged by it
00:20:44.480 let's look at it.
00:20:46.020 Because remember,
00:20:47.480 this isn't about them.
00:20:50.600 This is about you.
00:20:51.600 You cannot change them
00:20:53.380 but will you allow them
00:20:55.300 to change you?
00:20:57.300 So,
00:20:57.740 are the tweets racist?
00:21:00.080 Well,
00:21:00.580 first thing we have to do
00:21:02.180 is we have to define
00:21:03.460 the word racism.
00:21:04.760 So let's
00:21:05.360 get the dictionary
00:21:06.960 definition of racism out.
00:21:10.320 A couple different ones for you.
00:21:11.820 Prejudice,
00:21:12.260 discrimination,
00:21:12.860 or antagonism
00:21:13.600 directed against someone
00:21:14.960 of a different race
00:21:15.900 based on the belief
00:21:17.060 that one's own race
00:21:18.440 is superior.
00:21:20.120 Okay,
00:21:20.340 so antagonism.
00:21:22.180 I think we are
00:21:23.260 being antagonized.
00:21:24.800 Okay.
00:21:25.160 And the belief
00:21:26.300 that all members
00:21:27.060 of each race
00:21:27.900 possess characteristics
00:21:29.180 or abilities
00:21:30.000 specific to that race
00:21:31.380 especially so as
00:21:32.740 to distinguish it
00:21:33.800 as inferior
00:21:34.340 or superior
00:21:35.200 to another race
00:21:35.920 or races.
00:21:36.280 Okay,
00:21:36.440 so I think those two
00:21:37.360 race superiority
00:21:38.160 is in both of these
00:21:39.800 that there's a superior race
00:21:41.540 in both of these
00:21:42.180 or they have traits
00:21:43.220 of a superior race.
00:21:45.160 Is racism
00:21:46.600 a good trait
00:21:48.080 or a bad trait
00:21:48.920 and a superior
00:21:50.200 or inferior trait?
00:21:53.120 Racism is a terrible trait.
00:21:54.460 Terrible trait,
00:21:55.000 right?
00:21:55.660 Okay,
00:21:55.980 so if you cannot
00:21:57.540 be racist
00:21:58.460 as a race,
00:22:00.380 you are a superior race
00:22:02.880 to the white culture.
00:22:04.160 White people,
00:22:04.980 are you not?
00:22:05.540 Yeah,
00:22:06.080 I guess.
00:22:06.600 If all white people
00:22:07.620 are racists
00:22:08.440 and you can't be
00:22:10.560 because you're not white,
00:22:12.000 then you are superior
00:22:13.140 and you've actually
00:22:14.880 turned yourself
00:22:15.400 into a racist.
00:22:16.340 This is like,
00:22:17.960 can God build something
00:22:19.700 so heavy
00:22:20.260 he can't lift it?
00:22:21.060 No,
00:22:21.420 I don't think so.
00:22:22.440 There's an actual
00:22:23.080 answer to this one.
00:22:24.200 There's actually
00:22:25.120 an answer to this one.
00:22:26.120 If you believe
00:22:27.440 that no one
00:22:28.500 in your race
00:22:29.360 could be racist,
00:22:31.340 and I'd just like
00:22:32.480 to point out
00:22:33.000 Louis Farrakhan,
00:22:33.840 if you believe
00:22:34.920 that someone
00:22:35.420 in your race
00:22:35.960 cannot be racist,
00:22:36.900 that you can say
00:22:37.960 whatever you want
00:22:39.300 about another race,
00:22:41.380 denigrating
00:22:41.940 or what was the word?
00:22:43.900 Antagonizing
00:22:44.340 that race
00:22:45.180 for being inferior,
00:22:48.060 if you don't think
00:22:49.400 that that is racism,
00:22:51.240 then you are a racist
00:22:52.800 by definition.
00:22:55.960 Okay,
00:22:56.800 so are the tweets racist?
00:22:59.120 Here's the first,
00:22:59.880 first step was
00:23:00.840 define racism.
00:23:02.380 Second step,
00:23:03.760 are the tweets racist?
00:23:05.660 Do you have any
00:23:06.180 of her tweets?
00:23:07.820 I don't in front of me.
00:23:09.080 I can pull them up though.
00:23:09.680 Yeah,
00:23:09.980 pull them up.
00:23:10.800 Now,
00:23:11.040 here's the thing.
00:23:12.940 Stu is very good
00:23:14.540 with this.
00:23:15.720 He always checks himself
00:23:17.640 on,
00:23:18.220 wait a minute,
00:23:18.640 wait a minute,
00:23:19.560 let me say that.
00:23:21.420 Let's say that out loud
00:23:22.840 before we jump
00:23:24.080 on the bandwagon
00:23:24.980 on something like,
00:23:25.820 you know,
00:23:26.060 the 25% steel tariffs.
00:23:28.700 Donald Trump's
00:23:29.400 25% steel tariffs
00:23:30.840 are good for the economy.
00:23:32.460 He's negotiating.
00:23:33.940 Okay,
00:23:34.600 let's change
00:23:35.940 one word
00:23:37.160 in that
00:23:37.700 and see if it would be,
00:23:39.840 maybe it would be
00:23:40.500 comfortable to say.
00:23:43.140 Obama
00:23:43.620 instead of Trump.
00:23:45.720 Obama's new
00:23:46.300 25% steel tariffs
00:23:47.900 good for the economy.
00:23:49.280 He's negotiating.
00:23:50.920 Would you have said that?
00:23:54.120 No,
00:23:54.800 none of us would have,
00:23:56.020 even if it was negotiation
00:23:57.380 or take the negotiation out.
00:23:59.140 Yeah,
00:23:59.320 the one that hit me
00:23:59.900 with that was
00:24:00.840 Barack Obama
00:24:02.580 is about to go meet
00:24:03.320 with Kim Jong-un
00:24:04.340 one-on-one.
00:24:05.400 What a great development.
00:24:06.900 I don't think
00:24:08.020 I would have said
00:24:08.500 that sentence.
00:24:09.320 Now,
00:24:09.560 that might be
00:24:10.340 because I was wrong
00:24:11.460 about Obama,
00:24:12.400 right?
00:24:12.660 It might be
00:24:13.140 that I really
00:24:13.960 should have considered it.
00:24:14.700 Or that you may
00:24:15.020 have been right
00:24:15.680 about Obama.
00:24:16.620 And right here,
00:24:17.400 right?
00:24:17.880 I mean,
00:24:18.100 so the point is
00:24:19.100 that it does
00:24:20.960 give you
00:24:22.120 the ability
00:24:22.940 to take your own
00:24:23.900 bias out of it,
00:24:25.580 right?
00:24:26.240 Or at least check it.
00:24:27.380 At least check it.
00:24:28.140 Right,
00:24:28.340 exactly.
00:24:28.760 It makes you
00:24:29.620 stand up to your
00:24:30.680 own opinion.
00:24:31.340 Yeah,
00:24:31.660 it makes you,
00:24:32.380 it does this.
00:24:33.740 It makes you think
00:24:34.760 Obama is going
00:24:36.620 to meet with
00:24:37.100 Kim Jong-un
00:24:37.820 one-on-one.
00:24:38.840 Nobody's going
00:24:39.340 to be there
00:24:39.760 with him.
00:24:41.120 Okay,
00:24:41.540 that makes me
00:24:42.100 very uncomfortable.
00:24:43.260 Why?
00:24:44.300 Is it because
00:24:44.900 of Obama?
00:24:45.620 Or is it because
00:24:46.540 of his past
00:24:48.120 with Marxism
00:24:49.180 and cozying up
00:24:50.140 to dictators?
00:24:51.660 Okay,
00:24:51.940 it's probably that.
00:24:53.040 Now,
00:24:54.000 Donald Trump
00:24:55.280 also cozies up
00:24:56.200 to dictators.
00:24:56.940 So,
00:24:57.300 why was I
00:24:58.040 a little more
00:24:58.960 comfortable?
00:25:00.240 Because I think
00:25:01.520 that Donald Trump
00:25:02.400 understands
00:25:03.740 capitalism
00:25:04.580 is a fan
00:25:05.900 of capitalism
00:25:06.740 and is a fan
00:25:07.980 of America.
00:25:09.320 I didn't have
00:25:10.080 that opinion.
00:25:10.680 So,
00:25:11.100 while it's
00:25:11.660 uncomfortable,
00:25:13.020 I at least
00:25:14.220 know why
00:25:15.100 there's a difference.
00:25:16.320 And that controls
00:25:16.820 the way you talk
00:25:17.480 about Obama
00:25:18.060 in that circumstance,
00:25:18.920 right?
00:25:19.220 When people were
00:25:20.520 saying,
00:25:20.840 well,
00:25:21.020 he wants to
00:25:22.820 meet with
00:25:23.060 dictators,
00:25:24.200 a big portion
00:25:24.920 of the right's
00:25:25.400 criticism of that
00:25:26.140 is you never
00:25:26.700 speak with
00:25:27.540 dictators.
00:25:28.540 Right.
00:25:28.800 That wasn't like,
00:25:29.600 hey,
00:25:29.720 I wish a different
00:25:30.280 person would go
00:25:30.900 speak with
00:25:31.260 dictators,
00:25:31.680 or I wish I
00:25:32.220 had a different
00:25:32.660 president who I
00:25:33.600 trusted that
00:25:34.100 would go
00:25:34.320 speak with
00:25:34.620 dictators.
00:25:35.580 It's insane
00:25:36.520 to go speak
00:25:37.100 with dictators
00:25:37.600 at any time.
00:25:38.900 And so,
00:25:39.160 I think at that
00:25:39.600 point,
00:25:39.800 if we would
00:25:40.100 have looked
00:25:40.580 back at that
00:25:41.140 and said,
00:25:41.540 okay,
00:25:41.840 well,
00:25:42.520 maybe that's
00:25:42.900 not the way
00:25:43.180 we actually
00:25:43.620 feel.
00:25:44.020 Maybe the
00:25:44.260 way we feel
00:25:44.720 is this
00:25:45.480 particular
00:25:45.880 president,
00:25:46.360 because of
00:25:46.860 some of
00:25:47.140 his past
00:25:47.520 behaviors,
00:25:48.700 I don't
00:25:49.220 find to be
00:25:49.640 trustworthy on
00:25:50.300 this particular
00:25:50.800 mission.
00:25:51.360 Yeah,
00:25:51.560 I don't have
00:25:51.960 a problem.
00:25:52.240 I have more
00:25:53.160 of a problem
00:25:53.780 with FDR
00:25:55.180 meeting with
00:25:56.060 Stalin than
00:25:57.200 I did with
00:25:57.720 Churchill
00:25:58.080 meeting with
00:25:58.780 Stalin.
00:25:59.520 That's totally
00:26:00.160 different.
00:26:01.060 Totally
00:26:01.540 different.
00:26:02.060 One understood
00:26:02.940 who Stalin
00:26:03.440 was.
00:26:04.000 The other
00:26:04.360 one was
00:26:04.720 playing footsie
00:26:05.340 with him.
00:26:06.820 So,
00:26:07.520 we have to
00:26:08.620 look at the
00:26:09.000 tweets.
00:26:09.400 Now,
00:26:09.720 substitute
00:26:10.260 the adjective,
00:26:15.100 right?
00:26:15.500 Yeah,
00:26:15.760 I mean,
00:26:16.020 like,
00:26:16.160 so you have
00:26:16.460 this situation,
00:26:17.140 like,
00:26:17.280 for example,
00:26:17.620 she tweeted,
00:26:18.520 cancel white
00:26:19.420 people.
00:26:21.020 Hashtag.
00:26:21.540 Hashtag cancel
00:26:22.380 white people.
00:26:23.500 So,
00:26:23.780 if you were
00:26:24.000 to just insert
00:26:24.480 the word
00:26:24.740 black for
00:26:25.840 white,
00:26:26.400 would that
00:26:26.800 be racist?
00:26:27.680 Would you
00:26:28.040 keep your
00:26:28.640 job after
00:26:29.480 that sentiment?
00:26:30.500 And,
00:26:31.460 of course,
00:26:31.740 the answer
00:26:31.980 to that
00:26:32.200 is absolutely
00:26:32.920 not.
00:26:33.300 And that's
00:26:33.520 an easy
00:26:33.800 one.
00:26:36.860 Here's another
00:26:37.380 one you talked
00:26:37.700 about being
00:26:38.780 inferior.
00:26:40.460 It was one
00:26:40.700 of the
00:26:40.840 qualifications
00:26:41.360 of racism,
00:26:42.040 right?
00:26:42.680 Are white
00:26:43.200 people genetically
00:26:44.060 predisposed to
00:26:45.120 burn faster in
00:26:45.900 the sun,
00:26:46.520 thus logically
00:26:47.140 being only fit
00:26:47.920 to live
00:26:48.180 underground like
00:26:48.880 groveling
00:26:49.320 goblins?
00:26:50.180 Number one,
00:26:50.860 I would agree
00:26:51.300 with her tweet.
00:26:52.220 I think it's
00:26:52.520 probably true.
00:26:53.500 We should
00:26:53.940 live underground
00:26:54.540 and we are
00:26:55.360 genetically
00:26:55.640 predisposed to
00:26:56.420 burn faster in
00:26:56.980 the sun.
00:26:57.220 However,
00:26:58.680 again,
00:26:59.820 that is a
00:27:00.460 statement of
00:27:01.200 generalities based
00:27:02.280 on race and
00:27:03.420 genetics.
00:27:04.400 I mean,
00:27:04.600 it's cool.
00:27:05.300 I don't really
00:27:06.320 even have a
00:27:06.800 problem until
00:27:07.340 she gets to
00:27:07.920 groveling
00:27:08.640 goblins.
00:27:10.180 Yeah,
00:27:10.220 I mean,
00:27:10.480 it's I mean,
00:27:11.160 can you imagine
00:27:11.680 saying that?
00:27:12.400 Just say,
00:27:13.020 should black
00:27:14.200 people be
00:27:15.260 should black
00:27:17.180 people are they
00:27:17.960 predisposed to
00:27:18.900 live underground
00:27:19.800 like groveling
00:27:20.700 goblins?
00:27:21.420 Do you think
00:27:22.220 that's OK to
00:27:23.660 tweet?
00:27:24.180 Of course not.
00:27:24.700 Of course not.
00:27:25.520 How about I
00:27:26.440 because it's
00:27:27.160 racist?
00:27:28.260 Oh,
00:27:28.820 man,
00:27:29.340 it's kind of
00:27:30.140 sick how much
00:27:30.780 joy I get out
00:27:31.620 of being cruel
00:27:32.320 to old black
00:27:33.080 men.
00:27:33.860 Do you think
00:27:34.560 that would do
00:27:35.020 you think if you
00:27:35.520 meant that statement
00:27:36.300 and I wasn't
00:27:36.800 quoting and
00:27:37.300 changing an
00:27:37.720 adjective that
00:27:39.000 that would that
00:27:40.500 I would be able
00:27:40.880 to keep a job?
00:27:41.980 No,
00:27:42.540 in really any
00:27:43.380 industry.
00:27:43.800 Remember the
00:27:44.220 people there's
00:27:45.080 people in
00:27:45.700 Charlottesville who
00:27:46.960 went to this rally
00:27:47.740 and were racist
00:27:48.380 and said things
00:27:49.140 just like this,
00:27:50.700 right,
00:27:51.200 and went back
00:27:52.120 to their hot
00:27:53.380 dog stands
00:27:54.880 only to lose
00:27:55.940 their jobs.
00:27:57.060 They lost
00:27:57.680 their jobs
00:27:58.480 at their
00:27:59.160 hot dog
00:28:00.320 stands,
00:28:00.880 not New York
00:28:01.740 Times columnist,
00:28:03.300 a hot dog
00:28:04.480 stand.
00:28:05.700 You are not
00:28:06.680 allowed to
00:28:07.440 serve hot
00:28:08.380 dogs to
00:28:09.140 people if
00:28:10.000 you went to
00:28:10.420 the Charlottesville
00:28:11.040 rally,
00:28:11.560 yet you can
00:28:12.300 say you
00:28:13.060 like you
00:28:13.620 get joy
00:28:14.500 out of being
00:28:15.460 cruel to
00:28:17.060 old white
00:28:17.940 men and have
00:28:18.720 a job at
00:28:19.320 the New York
00:28:19.600 Times.
00:28:20.320 Now that is
00:28:21.140 not a fair
00:28:21.960 standard.
00:28:22.500 The question
00:28:22.860 is which part
00:28:23.600 of it is
00:28:23.900 wrong?
00:28:24.260 And that's
00:28:25.360 where I think
00:28:25.820 sometimes we
00:28:26.440 fall down
00:28:26.940 is on the
00:28:27.400 right.
00:28:27.760 Okay,
00:28:28.020 so we
00:28:29.080 know that
00:28:29.540 the tweets
00:28:30.040 on the
00:28:30.380 surface are
00:28:30.960 racist,
00:28:31.520 correct?
00:28:32.360 We know
00:28:32.700 what racism
00:28:33.340 is.
00:28:34.300 We know
00:28:35.200 how to
00:28:36.100 make sure
00:28:36.760 that we
00:28:37.180 are consistent
00:28:38.080 in our
00:28:38.780 belief and
00:28:39.240 if we're
00:28:39.520 not
00:28:39.920 consistent,
00:28:40.700 why we're
00:28:41.580 not
00:28:41.820 consistent,
00:28:42.340 just by
00:28:43.220 changing it
00:28:43.800 from black
00:28:44.220 to white.
00:28:44.940 We know
00:28:45.800 that they
00:28:46.160 are racist
00:28:46.800 again because
00:28:47.460 of that
00:28:47.800 substitution.
00:28:49.260 Now the
00:28:49.460 question is
00:28:50.080 she racist?
00:28:51.700 Is she
00:28:52.520 racist?
00:28:53.040 racist if
00:28:53.820 all you
00:28:54.360 know about
00:28:54.940 her is
00:28:55.640 that she
00:28:56.120 works for
00:28:56.680 the New
00:28:56.980 York Times?
00:28:58.400 If you
00:28:59.000 are on the
00:28:59.420 left, you
00:29:00.560 say, no,
00:29:01.180 of course not.
00:29:02.380 If you're
00:29:02.900 on the
00:29:03.160 right, with
00:29:03.940 just that
00:29:04.300 information,
00:29:05.000 yeah, probably.
00:29:06.520 Okay, that's
00:29:08.440 subjective.
00:29:09.640 That should be
00:29:10.420 thrown out.
00:29:11.580 Is she
00:29:12.200 racist?
00:29:12.880 Well, what do
00:29:13.220 we know about
00:29:13.780 her?
00:29:14.040 We know the
00:29:14.500 tweets.
00:29:15.540 Well, the
00:29:16.220 argument from
00:29:17.220 the New York
00:29:17.700 Times, they
00:29:18.340 would not,
00:29:19.160 this is a
00:29:20.140 separate issue
00:29:21.200 they would
00:29:22.040 not ever,
00:29:23.120 ever tolerate
00:29:24.180 from someone
00:29:24.880 like me,
00:29:26.060 is that she
00:29:27.140 was engaged
00:29:28.060 in throwing
00:29:29.380 crap back
00:29:30.740 online.
00:29:31.900 That somebody
00:29:32.780 was attacking
00:29:33.460 her and
00:29:34.620 then she
00:29:35.020 attacked them
00:29:35.840 and then she
00:29:36.440 said, man,
00:29:37.060 do I love
00:29:37.880 making old
00:29:38.560 white people
00:29:39.280 sweat or
00:29:39.760 whatever she
00:29:40.220 said.
00:29:40.940 Okay, well,
00:29:43.060 I guess you
00:29:44.580 could say,
00:29:45.080 do you have
00:29:45.580 anything like
00:29:46.100 that in your
00:29:46.700 Facebook or
00:29:48.320 have you
00:29:48.740 ever said
00:29:49.220 anything like
00:29:49.880 that?
00:29:50.540 Have you
00:29:50.800 ever really
00:29:51.560 made somebody
00:29:52.820 squirm online
00:29:53.940 and go, man,
00:29:54.840 it feels good
00:29:55.620 to make these
00:29:56.400 fill in the
00:29:57.120 blank sweat.
00:30:02.400 I mean,
00:30:03.120 you know,
00:30:03.620 I understand
00:30:04.600 it and I'm
00:30:05.940 fine with it.
00:30:06.820 And that's
00:30:07.080 why I always
00:30:08.080 err on the
00:30:08.540 side of no,
00:30:09.240 you shouldn't
00:30:09.640 fire people.
00:30:10.300 And there
00:30:10.820 probably will
00:30:11.820 be comments
00:30:12.440 that are
00:30:12.760 deserve firing.
00:30:14.020 I mean,
00:30:14.620 for any other
00:30:15.340 race, these
00:30:15.780 would absolutely
00:30:16.320 deserve firing.
00:30:17.120 Yes.
00:30:17.300 I mean, if
00:30:17.720 someone said
00:30:18.340 the thing, the
00:30:18.860 exact same
00:30:19.440 thing she
00:30:19.780 said with
00:30:20.240 inserting black
00:30:21.020 people or
00:30:21.460 inserting Jews
00:30:22.500 or anybody,
00:30:23.640 if you were
00:30:23.920 white, if you
00:30:24.500 were white,
00:30:24.820 these things
00:30:25.340 absolutely would
00:30:26.340 be a fireable
00:30:27.240 offense.
00:30:27.780 How and I
00:30:28.400 think if you
00:30:29.300 make a blanket
00:30:30.000 policy that
00:30:30.940 says no one
00:30:31.540 ever gets
00:30:32.120 fired for a
00:30:33.000 tweet, you
00:30:33.480 will make
00:30:33.860 mistakes.
00:30:34.660 Probably.
00:30:35.300 However, it's
00:30:36.060 okay.
00:30:36.880 I'd rather
00:30:37.540 err on that
00:30:38.200 side.
00:30:38.940 I'd rather
00:30:39.480 err on people
00:30:40.120 keeping their
00:30:40.820 jobs and
00:30:42.260 people not
00:30:43.520 being fired
00:30:44.040 for tweets,
00:30:44.520 even though
00:30:44.900 some people
00:30:45.460 probably should
00:30:46.400 be in some
00:30:47.060 there's at
00:30:47.680 least an
00:30:47.880 argument for
00:30:48.400 it.
00:30:49.240 That's just
00:30:49.660 not the right
00:30:50.140 way to go.
00:30:50.860 I'd rather err
00:30:51.620 on the side
00:30:51.940 of freedom.
00:30:52.980 I'm not going
00:30:53.680 to fire
00:30:53.960 somebody over
00:30:54.520 their tweets.
00:30:55.140 I'm going to
00:30:55.420 fire them for
00:30:56.060 real intellectual
00:30:57.120 reasons.
00:30:58.320 I mean, you
00:30:59.220 know, why
00:30:59.980 hate somebody
00:31:00.860 because of
00:31:01.380 their color
00:31:01.860 when you can
00:31:02.360 get to know
00:31:03.160 them and
00:31:03.940 hate them for
00:31:04.520 good, solid
00:31:05.360 reasons?
00:31:06.400 Okay.
00:31:07.180 I mean, this
00:31:07.920 is so stupid.
00:31:08.900 if you are
00:31:10.100 tweeting
00:31:10.480 something, I
00:31:11.380 want to look
00:31:11.960 at the tweet
00:31:12.520 and then I
00:31:12.920 want to get
00:31:13.260 to know you.
00:31:14.040 We know
00:31:14.380 nothing about
00:31:15.120 Sarah.
00:31:15.660 We know
00:31:15.960 nothing about
00:31:16.640 her.
00:31:17.780 This could
00:31:18.120 be true.
00:31:18.640 This could
00:31:18.920 not be
00:31:19.320 true.
00:31:19.740 I lean
00:31:20.400 towards she's
00:31:21.160 probably a
00:31:21.800 racist because
00:31:22.440 you just
00:31:22.820 don't say
00:31:23.380 those things
00:31:24.100 unless you
00:31:25.740 feel you're
00:31:26.560 under attack
00:31:27.500 and you
00:31:28.780 feel you
00:31:29.360 have a right
00:31:30.160 to put
00:31:30.600 people in
00:31:31.240 their place.
00:31:31.840 Does that
00:31:32.140 sound familiar?
00:31:33.580 Because you
00:31:34.300 feel like you've
00:31:35.300 been so
00:31:35.700 attacked.
00:31:36.280 And of
00:31:37.820 course, like
00:31:38.360 you, if you
00:31:39.100 apply that
00:31:39.900 standard and
00:31:40.380 give people a
00:31:40.900 pass for
00:31:41.700 angry reactions,
00:31:43.200 you're going to
00:31:43.780 get a lot, you
00:31:44.160 got to go back
00:31:44.600 and hire a lot
00:31:45.200 of people from
00:31:45.640 the past.
00:31:46.060 Now, the
00:31:46.720 last thing is
00:31:47.760 the New York
00:31:48.380 Times.
00:31:48.740 Are they
00:31:48.960 racist?
00:31:51.400 I don't
00:31:51.900 know.
00:31:53.040 I think
00:31:53.580 they're
00:31:53.740 postmodernists.
00:31:55.060 I think
00:31:55.560 that's what
00:31:55.860 they are.
00:31:56.500 I think
00:31:56.760 they're
00:31:56.920 postmodernists.
00:31:57.840 I think
00:31:58.140 they don't
00:32:00.020 believe in
00:32:01.020 the Judeo
00:32:02.880 Christian
00:32:03.400 traditions of
00:32:04.940 this world.
00:32:05.500 And I
00:32:06.020 don't mean
00:32:06.580 like, we're
00:32:07.000 all a
00:32:07.340 Christian
00:32:07.580 nation and
00:32:08.100 everybody
00:32:08.460 should be
00:32:08.940 in church.
00:32:09.680 I mean
00:32:10.380 the Judeo
00:32:11.420 Christian
00:32:11.820 laws that
00:32:14.060 gave birth
00:32:15.640 to the
00:32:16.080 Constitution
00:32:16.600 and the
00:32:17.280 Bill of
00:32:17.560 Rights.
00:32:18.300 I don't
00:32:18.780 think that
00:32:19.220 they are
00:32:19.640 all with
00:32:20.300 that.
00:32:21.580 How could
00:32:22.360 they be?
00:32:23.020 They all
00:32:23.420 run in the
00:32:23.980 same circle
00:32:24.660 with these
00:32:25.140 eggheads from
00:32:25.860 the universities
00:32:26.480 who are
00:32:27.420 telling us
00:32:28.140 all of these
00:32:28.780 crazy things.
00:32:30.520 How could
00:32:31.140 they be?
00:32:34.060 So are you
00:32:34.740 going to
00:32:34.960 change the
00:32:35.560 New York
00:32:35.820 Times?
00:32:36.300 Nope.
00:32:37.240 Nope.
00:32:37.660 Not going
00:32:37.980 to change
00:32:38.300 them.
00:32:38.800 Here's an
00:32:39.300 idea.
00:32:40.540 Why don't
00:32:40.820 we look at
00:32:41.220 this another
00:32:41.780 way?
00:32:42.900 Instead of
00:32:43.540 getting everybody
00:32:44.100 fired because
00:32:45.840 they've said
00:32:46.580 something out
00:32:47.400 of anger,
00:32:48.580 they're saying
00:32:49.460 she was angry
00:32:50.240 and so she
00:32:51.140 did this
00:32:51.620 because she
00:32:51.980 felt she
00:32:52.400 had a right.
00:32:52.880 Okay.
00:32:54.780 Why don't
00:32:55.380 we just
00:32:55.720 back off
00:32:56.540 of everybody?
00:32:57.820 Why don't
00:32:57.980 we just
00:32:58.220 back off
00:32:58.940 of everybody
00:32:59.740 and say,
00:33:00.620 you know
00:33:00.840 what?
00:33:01.640 Sticks
00:33:02.080 and stones
00:33:02.880 may break
00:33:04.100 my bones
00:33:04.740 but words
00:33:06.020 will never
00:33:06.640 hurt me.
00:33:08.200 We are
00:33:08.880 sitting here
00:33:09.540 arguing
00:33:10.320 about
00:33:11.000 words
00:33:12.040 and they
00:33:16.720 will tell
00:33:17.260 you,
00:33:17.580 well,
00:33:17.760 you have to
00:33:18.260 understand the
00:33:18.780 context of
00:33:19.320 the words
00:33:19.700 and,
00:33:20.320 you know,
00:33:20.480 words,
00:33:21.140 words are
00:33:21.720 just words.
00:33:22.780 Yes.
00:33:23.880 Okay.
00:33:24.260 That's
00:33:24.660 good
00:33:25.580 until you
00:33:26.720 start saying
00:33:27.580 this group
00:33:28.320 of people
00:33:28.860 starts to
00:33:29.500 use this
00:33:30.240 kind of
00:33:30.800 language
00:33:31.420 and that
00:33:32.260 kind that
00:33:32.960 causes all
00:33:33.860 of these
00:33:34.840 kinds of
00:33:35.400 problems
00:33:35.840 without
00:33:36.440 recognizing
00:33:37.260 the problems
00:33:38.060 you yourself
00:33:39.220 are causing
00:33:40.120 because of
00:33:41.040 your words.
00:33:44.260 It's just
00:33:45.120 really time
00:33:46.600 to have
00:33:47.400 adult
00:33:48.820 conversations
00:33:49.460 and nobody
00:33:50.300 in the media
00:33:50.780 is going to
00:33:51.160 do that
00:33:51.520 because that
00:33:51.960 doesn't give
00:33:52.480 you ratings.
00:33:53.540 Doesn't give
00:33:53.980 you ratings.
00:33:54.660 If I wanted
00:33:55.440 ratings today,
00:33:56.140 I would be
00:33:57.000 tearing the
00:33:57.960 New York
00:33:58.380 Times apart
00:33:59.600 and I'd
00:34:00.580 have good
00:34:01.240 reason to
00:34:02.040 do it.
00:34:03.440 That's not
00:34:04.160 going to get
00:34:04.480 you ratings.
00:34:05.320 What's going
00:34:05.860 to get you
00:34:06.180 ratings is
00:34:06.780 doing that,
00:34:07.740 tearing them
00:34:08.080 apart.
00:34:08.780 What's going
00:34:09.480 to save us
00:34:10.360 as a people,
00:34:11.940 what is going
00:34:12.280 to save beyond
00:34:13.080 the country,
00:34:13.640 forget about
00:34:14.180 the country.
00:34:15.020 We are not
00:34:15.780 even talking
00:34:16.360 about saving
00:34:17.060 the country
00:34:17.660 anymore.
00:34:18.160 We are
00:34:18.420 talking about
00:34:19.120 saving the
00:34:20.100 Western way
00:34:21.360 of life
00:34:22.260 that gave
00:34:22.880 birth to
00:34:23.740 our country.
00:34:25.440 That's what's
00:34:26.200 up on the
00:34:27.060 auction block
00:34:27.720 now, the
00:34:28.320 Western
00:34:28.920 civilization.
00:34:31.200 And if you
00:34:31.520 want to do
00:34:32.240 that, there
00:34:33.040 have to be
00:34:34.200 people who
00:34:35.120 will stand
00:34:35.680 up and say,
00:34:36.200 I am not
00:34:36.940 engaging in
00:34:37.760 that.
00:34:40.340 Because there
00:34:41.000 has to be a
00:34:41.560 safe place that
00:34:42.260 people can come
00:34:42.860 to with different
00:34:43.440 points of view
00:34:43.940 and say, man,
00:34:44.680 I am tired
00:34:45.220 of that too.
00:34:45.780 I can't take
00:34:46.380 it anymore.
00:34:46.880 Thank God
00:34:47.960 there's a group
00:34:49.560 of reasonable
00:34:50.420 people that are
00:34:51.680 not lighting
00:34:53.040 the torches
00:34:53.700 and setting
00:34:54.600 off as a
00:34:55.180 mob.
00:34:58.640 Bill O'Reilly
00:34:59.320 is coming up
00:34:59.820 in just a
00:35:00.400 second.
00:35:00.840 I doubt
00:35:01.700 he's going to
00:35:02.120 be this
00:35:02.460 charitable.
00:35:04.040 We're going to
00:35:04.620 talk to him
00:35:05.080 here in just
00:35:05.660 a second.
00:35:06.560 Wanted to
00:35:06.940 share some
00:35:07.460 recent feedback
00:35:08.420 from our
00:35:08.980 partners at
00:35:09.460 Palm Beach
00:35:09.880 Letter and
00:35:10.380 Tika Tiwari's
00:35:11.040 crypto course.
00:35:11.760 97% of the
00:35:13.360 listeners who
00:35:14.300 have taken the
00:35:14.960 cryptocurrency
00:35:15.440 course are
00:35:16.380 now giving
00:35:16.980 it a four or
00:35:17.640 five star
00:35:18.220 rating.
00:35:19.380 Thanks,
00:35:19.940 Glenn.
00:35:20.160 We've been
00:35:20.700 waiting so
00:35:21.140 much to
00:35:21.420 learn about
00:35:21.880 cryptos.
00:35:22.960 Didn't know
00:35:23.380 where to get
00:35:23.680 the information.
00:35:24.560 We didn't
00:35:24.780 know who
00:35:25.040 to ask.
00:35:26.100 We're looking
00:35:26.720 forward to
00:35:27.260 our continuation
00:35:27.940 of learning.
00:35:29.040 Another person,
00:35:29.840 courses open up
00:35:30.720 a whole new
00:35:31.120 world of
00:35:31.580 opportunities.
00:35:32.420 I never
00:35:32.780 invested in
00:35:33.640 stocks, but
00:35:34.660 I like the
00:35:35.060 Bitcoin concept.
00:35:36.260 The presentation
00:35:36.740 is clear and
00:35:37.720 easy to
00:35:38.180 understand.
00:35:38.940 I made
00:35:39.660 a hundred on
00:35:40.340 all of the
00:35:40.780 quizzes, except
00:35:41.380 for the first
00:35:42.160 one when I
00:35:42.580 misread the
00:35:43.020 question.
00:35:43.800 I fully
00:35:44.160 understand
00:35:44.620 blockchain,
00:35:45.320 the concept.
00:35:46.100 I intend
00:35:46.380 to become a
00:35:46.860 Bitcoin
00:35:47.220 millionaire,
00:35:48.220 one small
00:35:48.820 step at a
00:35:49.520 time.
00:35:49.980 Thanks.
00:35:51.500 Everybody is
00:35:52.300 saying the
00:35:52.680 same thing.
00:35:53.140 Ninety-seven
00:35:53.740 percent of the
00:35:54.480 people who are
00:35:54.940 taking this
00:35:55.480 smart crypto
00:35:56.280 course is
00:35:56.700 saying the
00:35:57.000 same thing.
00:35:57.600 You don't
00:35:57.820 even have to
00:35:58.180 be an
00:35:58.420 investor, but
00:35:59.500 this is a
00:36:00.240 part of the
00:36:00.860 future.
00:36:02.100 Cryptocurrency
00:36:02.620 and blockchain
00:36:03.460 play a very
00:36:04.820 important role
00:36:05.620 in what's
00:36:06.100 coming in the
00:36:06.720 next ten
00:36:07.120 years.
00:36:08.000 Understand it
00:36:08.740 now.
00:36:09.180 Get ahead of
00:36:09.700 everyone else.
00:36:10.440 Be the person
00:36:10.920 that can
00:36:11.180 explain it.

00:36:21.220 Glenn Beck.
00:36:26.040 Bill O'Reilly's
00:36:27.220 commentary might be
00:36:29.640 best described as a
00:36:30.840 holy jihad.
00:36:32.460 I'm guessing.
00:36:34.120 We'll find out when
00:36:36.140 we come back with
00:36:37.100 Bill O'Reilly, the
00:36:38.280 news recap of the
00:36:39.620 week.
00:36:41.900 Glenn Beck.
00:36:44.700 Well, California
00:36:45.280 progressivism never
00:36:46.360 ceases to amaze
00:36:47.280 anybody.
00:36:48.260 Now San Francisco
00:36:49.040 is trying a weird
00:36:50.640 form of forced
00:36:51.620 capitalism, which
00:36:53.060 is an oxymoron.
00:36:55.360 As usual, it's all
00:36:57.000 about control.
00:36:57.880 This time it has to
00:36:58.700 do with the massive
00:36:59.440 campuses of big
00:37:00.560 tech companies and
00:37:01.740 all of the on-site
00:37:02.660 amenities that they
00:37:04.060 provide their
00:37:04.540 employees.
00:37:05.000 Apparently too many
00:37:05.900 amenities.
00:37:06.760 It's too great to
00:37:07.800 work at these places.
00:37:09.260 So the city is
00:37:09.860 working on an
00:37:10.420 ordinance now to
00:37:11.080 force employees to
00:37:11.880 these big tech
00:37:13.120 firms to go out
00:37:14.240 for lunch.
00:37:16.500 Now if it
00:37:16.920 passes, this is
00:37:19.720 crazy, the
00:37:20.800 ordinance will
00:37:21.340 prohibit new
00:37:22.280 campus construction
00:37:23.260 from having a
00:37:24.080 company cafeteria
00:37:24.880 at all.
00:37:25.980 You see, the
00:37:26.440 problem, according
00:37:27.060 to the city's
00:37:27.660 progressive officials,
00:37:28.380 is the campuses
00:37:29.140 are just too
00:37:29.720 cushy, too
00:37:30.260 convenient, too
00:37:31.260 insular.
00:37:32.060 They're trying to
00:37:32.960 force the employees
00:37:33.740 from these companies
00:37:34.600 to go away and
00:37:36.340 stop getting those
00:37:37.520 free lunches, you
00:37:38.880 know, often gourmet
00:37:40.300 free lunches that
00:37:41.720 they're being
00:37:42.060 offered as a
00:37:43.020 perk of, you
00:37:44.000 know, working at
00:37:44.560 a particular
00:37:44.960 company.
00:37:45.680 They want them to
00:37:46.680 go out into the
00:37:47.460 neighborhood and
00:37:48.320 support local
00:37:48.980 restaurants instead.
00:37:51.040 Well, now, San
00:37:52.220 Francisco didn't come
00:37:53.000 up with this
00:37:53.440 brilliant plan on
00:37:54.340 its own.
00:37:54.960 Mountain View,
00:37:55.760 California, has
00:37:56.420 already banned
00:37:57.160 Facebook from
00:37:58.340 serving free meals
00:37:59.560 at its new
00:38:00.120 campuses that opens
00:38:01.120 there this fall.
00:38:02.340 But it gets
00:38:02.700 better.
00:38:03.520 Under the new
00:38:04.500 proposed San
00:38:05.180 Francisco law,
00:38:05.960 current employees
00:38:07.020 would be
00:38:07.720 grandfathered in so
00:38:08.860 they could continue
00:38:09.500 to use existing
00:38:10.560 cafeterias.
00:38:11.640 But new
00:38:12.200 employees would
00:38:14.120 be banned from
00:38:14.840 using the company
00:38:15.800 cafeteria.
00:38:17.860 Oh, HR is going
00:38:18.580 to love explaining
00:38:19.660 this one.
00:38:20.400 No, I'm sorry.
00:38:21.320 You cannot use all
00:38:22.520 of the perks.
00:38:24.340 San Francisco is
00:38:25.520 upset that these
00:38:26.920 tech companies got
00:38:27.840 oh, oh, oh, oh,
00:38:29.540 here it is, the
00:38:30.840 crux of the matter.
00:38:33.080 They're upset that
00:38:34.240 these tech companies
00:38:35.200 got tax breaks in
00:38:37.140 2011 to move
00:38:39.280 into troubled
00:38:40.180 areas of the
00:38:41.460 city.
00:38:41.880 This one called
00:38:42.920 the mid-market.
00:38:44.760 Several companies,
00:38:45.780 including Twitter,
00:38:46.920 Square, and Uber,
00:38:47.940 moved in.
00:38:49.080 But the neighborhood
00:38:49.880 hasn't taken off.
00:38:51.780 Why?
00:38:53.980 Aaron Peskin, a
00:38:55.180 city supervisor who
00:38:56.200 is co-sponsoring the
00:38:56.980 bill, says, well,
00:38:57.540 these tech companies
00:38:58.360 have decided to leave
00:38:59.420 their suburban
00:39:00.420 campuses because
00:39:01.840 their employees want
00:39:03.060 to be in the city.
00:39:03.720 And the irony is
00:39:05.180 they come to the
00:39:06.060 city and then
00:39:06.500 they're creating an
00:39:07.320 isolated, walled-off
00:39:09.300 campus.
00:39:10.700 Now, this is not
00:39:11.260 against these folks.
00:39:12.240 It's for them.
00:39:13.440 It's to integrate
00:39:14.520 them into the
00:39:15.460 community.
00:39:17.000 Now, it could be
00:39:18.300 that these
00:39:19.620 progressives suddenly
00:39:21.060 are all in love
00:39:22.480 with a wall
00:39:23.640 because their tech
00:39:26.460 workers prefer not
00:39:27.320 to walk out, you
00:39:28.300 know, to a local
00:39:28.840 restaurant and, you
00:39:29.940 know, risk a shiv
00:39:31.640 here and there or,
00:39:32.660 you know, getting
00:39:33.220 jabbed with heroin
00:39:34.200 needles by San
00:39:35.540 Francisco's estimated
00:39:36.700 22,000 intravenous
00:39:38.420 drug users.
00:39:39.680 There is also the
00:39:40.780 fact that, well, I
00:39:42.360 should say this
00:39:42.840 portion of the
00:39:43.340 program brought to
00:39:44.040 you by New
00:39:45.140 Pooperoni.
00:39:48.260 Pooperoni on San
00:39:49.700 Francisco streets.
00:39:50.900 So New Pooperoni,
00:39:52.040 I mean, sure, it's
00:39:53.100 delicious and it
00:39:53.920 smells great, but
00:39:55.380 maybe a wall would
00:39:57.300 stop having the
00:39:58.180 pooperoni in my
00:39:59.720 campus on my front
00:40:01.220 doorstep.
00:40:01.880 The city wants to
00:40:03.620 ban the company
00:40:04.500 cafeterias and it
00:40:06.500 just opened two
00:40:07.760 safe heroin injection
00:40:09.160 sites for the
00:40:10.160 addicts.
00:40:11.260 Sounds great.
00:40:13.160 Progressive
00:40:13.720 priorities.
00:40:15.000 They never cease
00:40:16.320 to amaze.
00:40:17.140 It's Friday, August
00:40:26.140 3rd.
00:40:27.200 This is the
00:40:28.020 Glenn Beck
00:40:28.520 program.
00:40:29.540 Man, I'm excited to
00:40:30.300 hear from Bill O'Reilly
00:40:31.220 today because the
00:40:33.100 news this week is
00:40:34.660 Bill, do you even
00:40:36.400 recognize your country
00:40:37.260 anymore?
00:40:38.640 You know, I'm
00:40:39.840 building a wall and
00:40:41.440 I hope I'm going to be
00:40:44.040 able to eat in my
00:40:44.740 kitchen, but maybe I'm
00:40:45.820 not at this portion of
00:40:47.480 the program again,
00:40:48.360 brought to you by
00:40:49.160 Pooperoni, the San
00:40:51.840 Francisco treat.
00:40:56.000 So my question is
00:41:01.180 back, what would
00:41:01.740 Carl Malden think?
00:41:04.140 I think Carl Malden
00:41:05.480 would have thrown
00:41:05.920 himself off the bridge
00:41:06.980 years ago.
00:41:08.260 And where's dirty
00:41:08.980 Harry when we need
00:41:09.960 him?
00:41:10.500 So, so let's start
00:41:12.300 with, I think we need
00:41:13.560 to start with the media,
00:41:14.420 don't you, Bill?
00:41:15.440 Yeah, that's fine with
00:41:16.940 me.
00:41:17.280 It's pretty insane.
00:41:18.480 Yeah.
00:41:18.740 So let's see.
00:41:20.660 Do we start with the
00:41:21.460 New York Times or CNN?
00:41:23.300 Your call.
00:41:24.600 Let's go to CNN because
00:41:26.080 I have a message of the
00:41:27.820 day just posted on
00:41:28.840 Bill O'Reilly dot com
00:41:29.900 about Jim Acosta's
00:41:33.160 display yesterday with
00:41:36.320 Sarah Sanders.
00:41:37.520 So if you didn't see it,
00:41:38.460 if your listeners didn't
00:41:39.460 see it, basically the
00:41:41.460 CNN chief White House
00:41:42.600 correspondent cajoled,
00:41:44.420 word of the day,
00:41:45.240 cajoled Sarah Sanders
00:41:48.040 about Donald Trump's
00:41:50.740 opinion that some
00:41:53.320 journalists are enemies
00:41:54.360 of the people.
00:41:55.840 So he was demanding,
00:41:58.040 Acosta was demanding
00:41:59.440 that Ms. Sanders give
00:42:01.740 her opinion about the
00:42:04.380 president's opinion.
00:42:05.340 That's what it came down
00:42:06.340 to.
00:42:06.560 Is that the role at all
00:42:08.100 of the press secretary?
00:42:09.000 Of course not.
00:42:10.200 Yeah.
00:42:10.640 The press secretary is
00:42:11.360 there, as Ms. Sanders
00:42:12.780 eloquently stated, to
00:42:14.800 reflect what the
00:42:16.560 president says to the
00:42:18.020 press corps so they can
00:42:19.120 report it to the people.
00:42:20.380 Not to give her opinion.
00:42:22.720 But what Costa obviously
00:42:24.480 was trying to do was
00:42:25.780 create a wedge between
00:42:28.580 Sanders and her boss.
00:42:31.020 And he was demanding,
00:42:33.280 not asking, demanding
00:42:35.520 that she give her opinion
00:42:37.160 on the enemy of the
00:42:39.560 people line.
00:42:40.820 So, number one, that
00:42:42.020 was just insane.
00:42:43.760 And I'm sitting there
00:42:44.340 going, what happened
00:42:46.960 to Jim Acosta's
00:42:49.160 bosses at CNN?
00:42:50.700 Where are they?
00:42:52.460 They should have been
00:42:53.000 on the cell phone going,
00:42:53.920 Jim, you better sit
00:42:54.680 down because this is
00:42:56.180 inappropriate and is
00:42:57.260 embarrassing our network.
00:42:58.540 But instead, as we've
00:42:59.600 discussed before, this is
00:43:00.840 the culture and the
00:43:02.420 financial profile of CNN.
00:43:04.180 This is what their
00:43:05.700 people are ordered to do.
00:43:07.620 Let's play the audio
00:43:08.440 here for anybody who
00:43:09.520 missed it.
00:43:10.160 Here's what Bill's
00:43:10.660 talking about.
00:43:11.460 I think it would be a
00:43:12.900 good thing if you were
00:43:13.840 to say right here at
00:43:15.800 this briefing that the
00:43:16.880 press, the people who
00:43:17.900 are gathered in this
00:43:18.660 room right now, doing
00:43:20.220 their jobs every day,
00:43:21.360 asking questions of
00:43:22.280 officials like the
00:43:23.000 ones you brought
00:43:24.060 forward earlier, are
00:43:25.240 not the enemy of the
00:43:26.200 people.
00:43:26.680 I think we deserve that.
00:43:29.480 I think the president
00:43:30.460 has made his position
00:43:32.320 known.
00:43:33.040 I also think it's
00:43:33.940 ironic.
00:43:35.120 I'm trying to answer
00:43:36.100 your question.
00:43:36.700 I politely waited and
00:43:38.100 I even called on you
00:43:38.900 despite the fact that
00:43:39.680 you interrupted me by
00:43:40.540 calling on your
00:43:41.120 colleague.
00:43:41.580 I said it's ironic.
00:43:43.260 Which is why I
00:43:44.200 interrupted.
00:43:45.060 I'm trying.
00:43:45.600 But if you finish, if
00:43:46.680 you would not mind
00:43:47.300 letting me have a
00:43:47.920 follow-up, that would
00:43:48.540 be fine.
00:43:49.040 It's ironic, Jim, that
00:43:51.680 not only you and the
00:43:52.720 media attack the
00:43:53.720 president for his
00:43:54.780 rhetoric when they
00:43:56.280 frequently lower the
00:43:57.300 level of conversation in
00:43:58.620 this country.
00:43:59.920 Repeatedly, repeatedly,
00:44:01.120 the media resorts to
00:44:02.240 personal attacks without
00:44:03.520 any content other than
00:44:04.860 to incite anger.
00:44:06.300 The media has attacked
00:44:07.520 me personally on a
00:44:08.700 number of occasions,
00:44:09.700 including your own
00:44:10.440 network, said I should
00:44:11.560 be harassed as a life
00:44:12.860 sentence, that I should
00:44:14.020 be choked.
00:44:15.040 ICE officials are not
00:44:16.020 welcomed in their place
00:44:16.980 of worship and personal
00:44:18.000 information as shared on
00:44:19.220 the Internet.
00:44:20.040 When I was hosted by the
00:44:21.080 Correspondents
00:44:21.760 Association, of which
00:44:22.980 almost all of you are
00:44:24.200 members of, you brought a
00:44:25.300 comedian up to attack my
00:44:26.700 appearance and call me a
00:44:28.080 traitor to my own
00:44:28.880 gender.
00:44:29.280 In fact, as I know, as
00:44:32.120 far as I know, I'm the
00:44:33.160 first press secretary in
00:44:34.280 the history of the United
00:44:35.200 States that's required
00:44:36.160 Secret Service protection.
00:44:37.640 The media continues to
00:44:39.320 ratchet up the verbal
00:44:40.880 assault against the
00:44:42.040 president and everyone in
00:44:43.280 this administration, and
00:44:44.680 certainly we have a role
00:44:45.860 to play, but the media
00:44:46.780 has a role to play for the
00:44:47.980 discourse in this
00:44:48.620 country as well.
00:44:49.400 And, Sarah, if you
00:44:50.000 don't mind, if I may
00:44:51.460 follow up, if I may
00:44:52.420 follow up, excuse me, you
00:44:54.080 did not say in the course
00:44:56.180 of those remarks that you
00:44:57.180 just made, that the press
00:44:58.860 is not the enemy of the
00:45:00.040 people.
00:45:00.460 Unbelievable.
00:45:00.940 Are we to take it from
00:45:02.040 what you just said, we
00:45:03.060 all get put through the
00:45:04.560 wringer, we all get put
00:45:05.500 in the meat grinder in
00:45:06.280 this town, and you're no
00:45:07.820 exception.
00:45:08.440 And I'm sorry that that
00:45:09.300 happened to you.
00:45:10.000 I wish that that had not
00:45:11.180 happened.
00:45:12.140 But for the sake of this
00:45:14.900 room, the people who are
00:45:16.260 in this room, this
00:45:17.400 democracy, this country,
00:45:19.100 all the people around the
00:45:20.240 world are watching what
00:45:21.200 you're saying, Sarah, and
00:45:22.600 the White House for the
00:45:23.580 United States of America,
00:45:25.200 the president of the
00:45:25.740 United States should not
00:45:26.700 refer to us as the
00:45:27.640 enemy of the people.
00:45:28.560 His own daughter
00:45:29.480 acknowledges that, and
00:45:30.620 all I'm asking you to
00:45:31.580 do, Sarah, is to
00:45:32.380 acknowledge that right
00:45:33.360 now and right here.
00:45:34.860 I appreciate your
00:45:36.460 passion.
00:45:37.120 I share it.
00:45:38.380 I've addressed this
00:45:39.320 question.
00:45:39.920 I've addressed my
00:45:40.560 personal feelings.
00:45:41.320 I'm here to speak on
00:45:42.320 behalf of the president.
00:45:43.320 He's made his comments
00:45:44.180 clear.
00:45:45.680 That's absolutely
00:45:46.560 appropriate.
00:45:47.520 Everything she said was
00:45:48.440 absolutely appropriate.
00:45:50.480 Okay, so you know
00:45:52.340 what I do.
00:45:53.100 I not only analyze the
00:45:55.140 news, but I give you the
00:45:56.120 why of it, not just the
00:45:58.220 what of it.
00:45:59.360 And again, this is a
00:46:00.260 post on BillOReilly.com if
00:46:01.720 you want to read the
00:46:02.180 whole thing.
00:46:03.140 What Acosta is doing, in
00:46:04.600 addition to pleasing his
00:46:05.780 masters at CNN, and by
00:46:07.560 the way, that's going to
00:46:08.420 change once AT&T gets in
00:46:10.460 there, because CNN's
00:46:12.040 ratings are terrible and
00:46:13.560 they're an embarrassment
00:46:14.340 now.
00:46:15.220 Did you see the latest
00:46:16.220 poll?
00:46:16.580 This was actually posted
00:46:18.200 just this week, and it's
00:46:20.060 gotten very little play,
00:46:21.680 that CNN is now the
00:46:24.520 ninth trusted news
00:46:27.140 source, the ninth.
00:46:28.640 Yeah, Trump has
00:46:29.300 succeeded, and then CNN
00:46:31.020 has helped them in
00:46:32.220 demonizing the network, and
00:46:34.060 I don't think that that is
00:46:36.280 a surprise.
00:46:37.560 But getting back to
00:46:38.600 Acosta, why is Acosta
00:46:39.820 doing what he's doing?
00:46:41.100 Well, he's following in the
00:46:42.100 great tradition of Dan
00:46:43.300 Rather and Richard Nixon,
00:46:45.160 and Sam Donaldson, and
00:46:47.020 Ronald Reagan.
00:46:48.220 That's what Acosta is
00:46:49.480 doing.
00:46:49.720 Acosta knows that before
00:46:51.240 Donald Trump, nobody
00:46:52.140 knew who he was, wasn't
00:46:53.800 making a lot of money, he
00:46:56.500 was running around going
00:46:57.720 nowhere, and he said,
00:46:59.340 you know what, I really
00:47:00.240 despise Donald Trump, and
00:47:01.900 Acosta does, personally.
00:47:03.840 And so I'm going to make a
00:47:05.080 career out of torturing him
00:47:07.260 and haranguing his people.
00:47:09.680 And therefore, that's going
00:47:10.800 to catapult me onto the
00:47:12.140 Glenn Beck program with
00:47:13.320 Bill O'Reilly, and
00:47:14.680 everyone will be talking
00:47:16.060 about me, and my bosses
00:47:18.160 will like that, so they'll
00:47:19.180 give me more money, and
00:47:21.020 since I despise Trump
00:47:22.200 anyway, there's no
00:47:23.340 downside for me.
00:47:24.740 That's exactly what Jim
00:47:26.040 Acosta is doing.
00:47:26.800 Could I give another
00:47:28.420 version of that that
00:47:29.500 leads to the exact same
00:47:30.840 place?
00:47:31.840 He was a, you know, he
00:47:33.120 was a relative nobody,
00:47:34.780 nobody knew who he was,
00:47:36.420 sounds familiar, kind of
00:47:37.740 like me, relatively nobody
00:47:39.220 knew who he was, but he
00:47:40.680 actually believes this guy
00:47:42.440 is a danger, and his
00:47:45.360 bosses do too, and they
00:47:47.100 let him go, because they
00:47:49.060 want to stop this trend of
00:47:51.180 Donald Trump and what
00:47:52.380 Donald Trump is doing, and
00:47:54.420 so he just does it because
00:47:56.420 he believes he, in his own
00:47:57.840 mind, he's not doing it for
00:47:59.140 money, he's doing it because
00:48:00.160 he thinks it's the right
00:48:01.460 thing to do.
00:48:02.820 Well, sure, and that's true.
00:48:05.320 These zealots believe that
00:48:07.340 Donald Trump is a danger to
00:48:09.220 America, and therefore, any
00:48:11.400 vehicle that can diminish him
00:48:13.900 or get him out of that
00:48:15.760 office is legitimate, whether
00:48:17.360 it's honest or not.
00:48:18.860 That's true.
00:48:20.040 They're true believers.
00:48:21.620 Rather was a true believer.
00:48:22.860 He hated Nixon.
00:48:24.200 Donaldson was a true believer.
00:48:25.640 He hated Reagan.
00:48:26.780 I was there.
00:48:27.500 I saw it.
00:48:28.720 I saw it personally, with my
00:48:30.580 own eyes, okay?
00:48:32.280 So, yeah, that's fine, but
00:48:34.740 there's supposed to be some
00:48:35.920 kind of responsibility on the
00:48:37.580 part of the press, and going
00:48:41.160 in to try to embarrass, on a
00:48:43.760 daily basis, a sitting
00:48:45.560 administration with no intent
00:48:47.200 of finding the truth about
00:48:48.480 anything, is corruption.
00:48:51.780 It's simply corruption.
00:48:53.680 And that's what you're seeing
00:48:54.960 right before your eyes.
00:48:56.420 You play that clip to
00:48:58.140 Americans, the clip with
00:49:00.140 Acosta and Sarah Sanders, and
00:49:02.340 you do a poll on it.
00:49:03.540 Sarah Sanders is going to win
00:49:04.800 70-30.
00:49:06.740 You know, the 30 who hate Trump
00:49:08.080 are going to side with Acosta.
00:49:09.840 But rational, fair-minded
00:49:12.060 people, though, and the guy's
00:49:13.100 out of line.
00:49:14.420 She's under no mandate to
00:49:16.020 give her opinion.
00:49:17.120 And here's the final thing.
00:49:19.020 Acosta doesn't care what
00:49:20.200 Sarah Sanders thinks.
00:49:22.220 Why would he care?
00:49:23.920 Why would he care if Sarah
00:49:25.080 Sanders thinks the press is
00:49:26.360 the enemy of the people?
00:49:28.000 I mean, he doesn't care.
00:49:30.220 It's so hollow and phony.
00:49:32.700 He's just using it as a
00:49:34.600 staged mechanism to get
00:49:36.540 himself on the Glenn Beck
00:49:38.620 radio program.
00:49:39.280 So I doubt that's his goal.
00:49:42.260 But let me switch topics
00:49:44.560 because one of the problems,
00:49:45.960 not topics, angles.
00:49:47.820 One of the problems that I
00:49:49.020 have, and I think the
00:49:49.900 American people have, and
00:49:51.080 we'll get into the New York
00:49:51.980 Times debacle this week
00:49:53.740 coming up in a second, but
00:49:55.340 is the amazing lack of
00:49:59.960 self-awareness that they are
00:50:03.060 stirring the American people
00:50:04.640 up using tactics that they
00:50:06.840 said were terrifying,
00:50:09.540 diabolical, and destructive
00:50:11.000 to the state.
00:50:11.760 That when Bill O'Reilly and
00:50:13.520 Glenn Beck were on Fox News,
00:50:14.980 we were a danger to the
00:50:16.740 republic because of what we
00:50:18.800 did in our two hours.
00:50:20.820 And yet, they're doing it
00:50:22.800 24-7, and they don't seem to
00:50:25.060 recognize it.
00:50:25.780 And stories like this are
00:50:27.680 downplayed.
00:50:29.060 Play the audio, please, Sarah,
00:50:30.880 of the representative
00:50:33.600 Scalise, the guy who was
00:50:35.540 shot by a leftist when they
00:50:38.360 tried to kill 30% of our
00:50:40.560 Congress.
00:50:41.260 One guy, a Bernie Sanders
00:50:42.620 volunteer in 2017, he just had
00:50:45.440 a new credible death threat.
00:50:47.280 Listen to this.
00:50:47.980 You are taking ours.
00:50:49.220 We are taking yours.
00:50:51.080 Anytime, anywhere.
00:50:52.960 We know where they are.
00:50:54.420 We are not going to feed
00:50:55.560 them sandwiches.
00:50:56.920 We are going to feed them
00:50:57.940 lead.
00:50:59.380 Make no mistake.
00:51:00.620 You will pay.
00:51:02.120 Ojo por ojo, diente por
00:51:04.360 diente.
00:51:05.260 In Spanish, an eye for an
00:51:06.680 eye, a tooth for a tooth.
00:51:08.600 That is our law.
00:51:09.980 We are the majority.
00:51:11.580 Have a good day.
00:51:13.580 Those voicemails were
00:51:14.820 reported to the Capitol
00:51:15.840 Police, and in each instance,
00:51:17.980 the Capitol Police traced
00:51:19.940 those phone calls and
00:51:21.300 those voicemails to an
00:51:23.200 individual identified as
00:51:24.620 Carlos Bayonne, age 63, of
00:51:27.600 Grand Island, New York.
00:51:29.440 Mr. Bayonne has been
00:51:30.520 charged in a criminal
00:51:31.300 complaint here in the
00:51:32.280 Western District of New
00:51:33.180 York with interstate
00:51:34.320 communication of a threat.
00:51:36.700 We'll get Bill O'Reilly's
00:51:37.940 comment on that and the New
00:51:39.140 York Times and the rest of
00:51:40.640 the news of the week when
00:51:42.100 we come back.
00:51:43.780 First, I want to thank our
00:51:45.380 sponsor making this half
00:51:46.320 hour possible.
00:51:47.100 It is SimpliSafe Home
00:51:48.100 Security, really great
00:51:49.200 security system, and you
00:51:51.720 need security in your
00:51:52.580 home.
00:51:53.420 But, you know, if you've
00:51:55.360 ever bought a home and
00:51:56.600 they had the old security
00:51:57.800 system installed, and then
00:52:00.040 you have to sign up with
00:52:02.320 that security company,
00:52:03.980 otherwise, you know, you
00:52:05.220 can't use the system and
00:52:06.580 somebody else has to come
00:52:07.400 in and rewire and put
00:52:08.680 everything else in, and
00:52:09.400 then you're locked into
00:52:10.120 like a four-year contract.
00:52:12.020 No thank you.
00:52:13.760 SimpliSafe.
00:52:14.760 SimpliSafe is this amazing
00:52:16.340 company that started out
00:52:17.720 with five people.
00:52:18.720 They were just, it just
00:52:19.740 announced this week, they're
00:52:20.660 now a billion-dollar
00:52:21.940 company.
00:52:23.000 When they started with me,
00:52:24.060 they had five people, and
00:52:26.560 they were just trying to
00:52:28.480 make a better alarm system
00:52:30.480 for your house, better
00:52:32.140 security, that didn't have
00:52:33.840 contracts, you weren't
00:52:35.260 spending an arm and a leg,
00:52:36.900 it was your system, and the
00:52:39.540 monitoring was $14.99 a
00:52:42.120 month.
00:52:42.960 That's SimpliSafe.
00:52:44.420 That's why they're now
00:52:45.280 worth a billion-dollar
00:52:46.340 company, because they know
00:52:48.420 how to build it right.
00:52:50.500 SimpliSafe.
00:52:50.940 I want you to go see their
00:52:51.840 system and see how much
00:52:52.980 money you're going to save
00:52:54.460 and how protected you and
00:52:56.920 your family will be.
00:52:58.040 You'll rest well when you're
00:52:59.280 away on vacation or, you
00:53:01.740 know, at night, during the
00:53:03.260 day.
00:53:04.280 SimpliSafe.
00:53:04.860 Get your SimpliSafe system
00:53:05.980 now and 10% off of that
00:53:07.800 system at

00:53:10.060 That's SimpliSafeBeck.com,

00:53:13.500 system right now at
00:53:15.100 SimpliSafeBeck.com.
00:53:20.480 So, Bill, last night I was
00:53:22.120 having dinner with my kids,
00:53:23.220 and we were talking about
00:53:24.100 this thing with Steve
00:53:25.100 Scalise, and I said, you
00:53:26.380 know, he's got another
00:53:27.380 threat, and it's credible.
00:53:29.140 And my adult children, my
00:53:32.000 adult children at the dinner
00:53:33.560 table said to me, Dad, who's
00:53:35.660 Steve again?
00:53:36.360 And I said, the congressman
00:53:38.280 that was shot, when was he
00:53:39.580 shot?
00:53:40.100 He was shot at the baseball
00:53:41.340 diamond.
00:53:41.900 What baseball diamond?
00:53:43.240 The baseball diamond.
00:53:44.200 A year ago when they tried to
00:53:45.300 kill 30% of what?
00:53:48.280 30% of Congress they tried to
00:53:50.340 kill, and it was a guy who was
00:53:51.400 a Bernie Sanders.
00:53:53.460 In my family, my older
00:53:55.660 children didn't know.
00:53:57.540 Now, they had heard about it,
00:53:59.360 but they didn't really know what
00:54:00.700 the story was back at the time.
00:54:02.780 Just thought it was no big
00:54:03.740 deal.
00:54:05.320 I'm not sure they thought it
00:54:06.540 was no big deal.
00:54:07.420 I just think there's so much
00:54:08.600 chaos in this country now
00:54:11.240 every day that people forget
00:54:12.680 because they're just
00:54:14.100 overwhelmed.
00:54:15.980 You know, I don't know your
00:54:17.000 kids, but it would seem to me
00:54:18.880 that they were interested
00:54:20.020 enough to ask you about it
00:54:21.400 now.
00:54:21.860 Oh, yeah, no, they just, they
00:54:23.820 were shocked last night that
00:54:25.680 this wasn't known by them
00:54:30.380 and everybody else and was a
00:54:32.120 very big deal.
00:54:33.000 30% of the Congress could
00:54:34.420 have been killed.
00:54:35.600 Yeah, it was covered when it
00:54:38.080 happened, I thought,
00:54:39.100 responsibly.
00:54:41.940 But I just think we're in a
00:54:43.460 society now where it's just,
00:54:45.220 you know, one atrocity after
00:54:47.360 another, and people are just
00:54:49.880 overwhelmed.
00:54:50.660 They can't retain.
00:54:52.240 I mean, if you ask about mass
00:54:53.540 shootings, I mean, you're not
00:54:54.620 going to be able to get folks to
00:54:55.720 say where they were.
00:54:56.700 Maybe they'll remember the
00:54:57.660 Florida one, but, you know,
00:54:59.560 the others, they won't
00:55:00.380 remember because it's just too
00:55:02.020 much.
00:55:02.640 We live in a real chaotic
00:55:04.020 time.
00:55:05.980 So when we go to, I mean, I
00:55:10.540 know you have security.
00:55:12.740 I have security.
00:55:14.500 We've had it for a while.
00:55:15.640 We've had the left in
00:55:19.100 organized campaigns try to
00:55:21.440 effectively get you out.
00:55:24.840 They tried and tried and
00:55:27.160 tried for a long time to
00:55:28.480 destroy me, and you could
00:55:30.900 make a good case that they
00:55:32.560 did a pretty good job on both
00:55:34.420 of us.
00:55:35.940 They don't see that as a
00:55:37.720 problem.
00:55:38.180 Now it's happening to them,
00:55:39.820 and they seem to think that
00:55:41.640 it's a problem.
00:55:42.900 Well, you know, we're living
00:55:45.960 in a time now where, because
00:55:48.860 the press does not seek the
00:55:50.720 truth about anything, that
00:55:53.340 charlatans and dangerous
00:55:55.900 organized zealots can level
00:55:58.560 accusations, and corporations
00:56:01.680 buckle, because they don't
00:56:05.080 want boycotts, they don't want
00:56:06.300 sponsors, this, they don't want
00:56:07.880 bad Me Too publicity, whatever
00:56:10.080 it may be.
00:56:11.200 And everybody knows that.
00:56:12.400 So it's a lot easier now than
00:56:13.860 it was three years ago to
00:56:15.100 destroy people.
00:56:16.660 And every person I know, and I
00:56:18.160 know them all, that gives
00:56:19.740 opinion on television is in
00:56:21.820 danger.
00:56:22.540 Yes.
00:56:23.540 Yes, they are.
00:56:25.180 We all are.
00:56:26.440 All right, Bill O'Reilly, we'll
00:56:27.820 come back with, I think, maybe
00:56:29.980 the definition of racism first
00:56:31.780 as we go to the New York Times
00:56:33.480 story next.
00:56:34.520 You're listening to the Glenn Beck
00:56:38.640 program.
00:56:39.440 We do have breaking news,
00:56:40.700 something that is, I think,
00:56:42.020 really important, and we're
00:56:42.920 trying to get somebody who is
00:56:44.000 actually on the scene before the
00:56:46.380 end of the show today.
00:56:47.940 Stu, do you have that news?
00:56:49.320 Yeah, Joe Paris at KTVP in
00:56:51.940 Boise has this update for you,
00:56:55.160 and I hope you're following
00:56:56.260 this.
00:56:56.940 About 100 goats are on the
00:56:58.520 loose right now in a Boise
00:56:59.940 neighborhood.
00:57:00.620 They are going from house to
00:57:01.680 house, eating everything in
00:57:02.760 site, nobody has a clue where
00:57:04.120 they came from, updates to
00:57:05.340 follow.
00:57:05.880 Okay, so we'll give you those
00:57:06.820 updates as they, when he
00:57:08.180 started in, he said, have you
00:57:09.080 heard, I mean, there's 100
00:57:10.940 goats, and he could have said,
00:57:13.440 Glenn, there's breaking news,
00:57:15.080 100 goats have just been
00:57:16.120 appointed as advisors to the
00:57:17.760 12 chairs of the Fed, and I
00:57:19.080 would have been like, yeah,
00:57:20.940 probably.
00:57:21.520 That actually makes more sense
00:57:23.660 than most of the news today.
00:57:25.620 Bill, let's go to the woman
00:57:28.280 who is, you know, now on the
00:57:32.460 editorial board of the New York
00:57:35.200 Times, I'm sure you've read the
00:57:38.240 tweets that she wrote, she's
00:57:40.100 Asian, she wrote them about
00:57:41.360 white people and how she likes
00:57:43.120 to make old white people
00:57:44.260 uncomfortable, and, you know, I
00:57:47.280 think one of her hashtags was,
00:57:48.680 what was it, white people die, or
00:57:50.560 something like that.
00:57:52.200 Yeah, it's basically white men.
00:57:53.980 Yeah.
00:57:54.220 White men.
00:57:54.960 White men.
00:57:55.660 Yes.
00:57:56.520 So, racist?
00:57:58.400 Are those tweets, let me take
00:57:59.440 this and break it down.
00:58:00.280 Are those tweets racist?
00:58:02.640 Yes.
00:58:03.540 Why?
00:58:04.880 They target a group of people
00:58:08.640 based on skin color.
00:58:10.940 Okay.
00:58:12.100 Question two, is she racist?
00:58:14.860 I don't know.
00:58:16.620 People do this to curry favor
00:58:19.100 and to get themselves attention,
00:58:22.340 just like the Acosta thing we're
00:58:23.600 talking about, it worked in her
00:58:25.500 case.
00:58:25.880 She's hired by the New York
00:58:27.200 Times to be on the editorial
00:58:28.680 board.
00:58:29.840 So, it worked.
00:58:31.380 Is the New York Times, by
00:58:35.240 knowing that she had written
00:58:36.860 these things, are they racist?
00:58:41.460 You know, I never do that
00:58:43.400 because I just think throwing
00:58:46.440 out our word around is not.
00:58:49.600 Good for you.
00:58:49.940 You answered those questions
00:58:51.760 exactly the way I did.
00:58:53.660 Last question.
00:58:54.500 Last question.
00:58:55.580 Yes.
00:58:56.740 Should the New York
00:58:57.800 Times fire her?
00:59:01.060 Well, I mean, should they?
00:59:02.620 They never should have hired her
00:59:03.700 in the first place.
00:59:04.440 I know she is.
00:59:05.720 I mean, they know.
00:59:06.760 But, again, let's go to the
00:59:08.180 why.
00:59:09.060 You know, this is the O'Reilly
00:59:10.300 formula on BillOReilly.com.
00:59:12.380 The why behind it.
00:59:14.280 Okay.
00:59:14.600 So, everybody who's seen is
00:59:16.440 going, how could this happen?
00:59:18.040 And this woman, obviously, is a
00:59:20.700 hater.
00:59:21.980 And how could you get this
00:59:24.800 position at the New York Times?
00:59:26.820 Well, if you know anything about
00:59:29.460 that operation, you know their
00:59:31.080 editorial philosophy is that white
00:59:34.220 men have destroyed the country.
00:59:37.020 That's white supremacy, white
00:59:40.160 privilege.
00:59:41.460 May I go a step further?
00:59:42.720 I said this morning that they
00:59:44.100 are they're they're cut cut from
00:59:45.920 the postmodernist cloth that
00:59:48.640 says that the Judeo-Christian
00:59:52.320 Western culture is the sickness
00:59:55.680 that is has swept the planet.
00:59:58.360 And so anything that helped create
01:00:00.280 that is is bad.
01:00:03.200 Yeah.
01:00:03.340 And who runs that culture?
01:00:05.280 Yes.
01:00:05.680 White men.
01:00:06.400 Right.
01:00:07.000 Okay.
01:00:07.440 So if you look at their editorial
01:00:09.540 policies, the New York Times wants
01:00:11.460 open borders, they don't want any
01:00:13.520 enforcement of immigration law.
01:00:16.300 They want amnesty for everybody
01:00:17.800 here.
01:00:18.620 And if you show up and say I need
01:00:22.020 asylum, you get it.
01:00:24.280 All right.
01:00:24.640 So why do they want that?
01:00:25.880 They know that already 20 million
01:00:28.800 people have entered the country
01:00:30.120 illegally and they applaud the news
01:00:34.240 that white people are now going to
01:00:36.860 be a minority in the United States.
01:00:38.780 New York Times thinks that's great.
01:00:41.460 All right.
01:00:41.940 Because the oppression brought by
01:00:44.260 white people in Judeo-Christian
01:00:46.080 culture must be obliterated.
01:00:50.060 And the best way to obliterate it is
01:00:52.940 to convince all Americans that white
01:00:56.020 men are bad.
01:00:58.400 And that's the philosophy of the paper.
01:01:00.520 The last piece here is we have
01:01:05.680 suddenly gotten good at doing and
01:01:09.520 turning the tables.
01:01:11.180 We have suddenly gotten good at saying,
01:01:13.820 oh, really?
01:01:14.400 Well, two can play at that game.
01:01:16.160 And there have been a lot of firings.
01:01:18.120 However, there's also been a lot of
01:01:19.500 firings on the other side.
01:01:20.720 And it feels good to point out the
01:01:23.740 hypocrisy of the New York Times,
01:01:25.740 because if this would have been said
01:01:27.120 about any other race by a white
01:01:29.240 person, they would have been fired.
01:01:30.820 And we all know it.
01:01:32.080 Sure.
01:01:33.560 But the New York Times has shifted
01:01:35.320 into we don't care what Glenn Beck and
01:01:38.100 Bill O'Reilly and other white men think,
01:01:40.660 because our audience is not that.
01:01:43.800 We are marketing our newspaper to a
01:01:48.640 sliver of the American people who think
01:01:51.860 the way we do.
01:01:53.180 We're not interested in covering the news
01:01:54.980 or finding the truth about anything.
01:01:56.380 We're interested in destroying the
01:01:58.360 current fabric of the country,
01:02:00.520 destroying the president and
01:02:02.380 getting in another Barack Obama.
01:02:05.220 That's what we're interested in doing.
01:02:07.180 And our readership will uphold it.
01:02:08.920 Now, they're hemorrhaging money over
01:02:10.800 there, like the despicable New York
01:02:13.160 Daily News, which is just about out of
01:02:15.280 business now.
01:02:16.020 The New York Times is in financial
01:02:17.980 trouble because you can't really run an
01:02:21.100 operation at that level by narrow
01:02:23.680 casting, which is what they're doing.
01:02:25.340 But it is shocking that this kind of a
01:02:28.700 person would be hired to be on the
01:02:30.500 editorial board in the paper would
01:02:32.060 defend the person, which they did
01:02:33.740 today.
01:02:34.640 So what do we so I said today, you
01:02:37.060 know, first they came for, you know,
01:02:39.720 Kevin Williamson and they didn't say
01:02:41.180 anything because they weren't Kevin
01:02:42.340 Williamson, you know, that we're we're
01:02:44.280 living the the Niemöller poem.
01:02:46.400 I think we are we are starting to go
01:02:48.440 down this this really frightening road of
01:02:51.180 a mob and we've been going down it for
01:02:53.040 a while, but now both sides are doing
01:02:55.000 it and it feels really good.
01:02:57.240 But I made a pretty bold declaration in
01:03:01.720 our number one today.
01:03:02.720 I am not going over the cliff with the
01:03:04.880 rest of humanity, even though it feels
01:03:06.960 really good.
01:03:08.060 What should we be doing as people?
01:03:11.560 Well, I think the the individual American
01:03:14.940 is angry on both sides.
01:03:17.740 So we have that anger and you have it
01:03:19.620 equally divided.
01:03:20.620 I talked to Victor Davis Hanson yesterday
01:03:23.220 is a very, very smart guy.
01:03:25.000 Yeah.
01:03:25.220 And that's posted on Bill O'Reilly dot com
01:03:26.940 if you want to hear that.
01:03:28.380 And he basically said, unlike the Vietnam
01:03:30.180 War, which was maybe 6535 against the
01:03:34.920 government, most people stood with the
01:03:36.740 government, even though they didn't like
01:03:38.000 the war.
01:03:38.740 Now we have 50 percent of the people who
01:03:41.340 are actively trying to undermine the
01:03:44.160 government and the other 50 percent
01:03:45.840 saying that's wrong.
01:03:47.260 So you really have a social civil war here.
01:03:50.500 Now, as far as individuals are concerned,
01:03:52.700 I always tell people you can't justify bad
01:03:55.040 behavior by pointing to other bad behavior.
01:03:58.040 So what you need to do is take the high
01:03:59.720 road in whatever you do.
01:04:01.880 But people will say but people will say you
01:04:04.300 we get our butt kicked.
01:04:05.660 Then they just do what they want.
01:04:07.980 You can you can expose it and you can
01:04:10.780 challenge it.
01:04:12.420 And it's effective to do that.
01:04:14.960 I mean, why do they think they want to
01:04:16.980 silence voices like mine and yours and
01:04:20.440 other people in the media that that go
01:04:22.960 against the progressive movement?
01:04:24.860 Because it is effective.
01:04:26.860 I mean, people do step back and go, you
01:04:28.680 know what, do I really want a Stalinist
01:04:30.620 society?
01:04:31.380 Do I want a San Francisco telling me where
01:04:33.940 I have to have lunch?
01:04:35.400 Do I really want that?
01:04:38.180 And the answer is no.
01:04:40.180 So you can win the propaganda war in the
01:04:44.380 sense that you can make a stronger case.
01:04:47.260 But it's vicious.
01:04:48.580 I mean, look, just compare Les Moonves to
01:04:51.560 Roger Ailes.
01:04:52.680 Yeah.
01:04:53.180 Roger Ailes is dead because he was attacked
01:04:56.480 ceaselessly, mercilessly.
01:05:00.140 OK.
01:05:00.880 And if you stack up allegations, Ailes versus
01:05:04.040 Moonves, it's not even close.
01:05:07.020 Yet Moonves still maintains his job as the
01:05:10.320 head of CBS.
01:05:11.260 I mean, if any fair minded person just
01:05:14.380 looked, one guy's dead and the other
01:05:17.420 guy's still doing a conference call on
01:05:19.400 earnings.
01:05:20.020 Well, I will tell you this.
01:05:21.180 I personally think CBS has been the most
01:05:23.840 rational this week.
01:05:25.060 It's the way Ailes and everybody else
01:05:26.740 should have been dealt with.
01:05:28.340 And that is, what are the facts
01:05:30.960 independent?
01:05:32.180 And if it is a fair independent, they're
01:05:34.780 listening truly to both sides.
01:05:36.260 Well, I have no quibble with that.
01:05:38.120 Right.
01:05:38.460 Because due process has to be imposed.
01:05:40.380 Has to be.
01:05:41.320 Yes.
01:05:41.900 OK.
01:05:42.420 But it's not CBS that I'm criticizing.
01:05:45.940 It's the coverage.
01:05:48.240 Yes.
01:05:49.360 Yes.
01:05:49.960 It's the news coverage.
01:05:51.860 Yes.
01:05:53.040 OK.
01:05:53.880 So you get one thing is we're going to
01:05:56.200 kill this man, Roger Ailes.
01:05:58.600 And they did.
01:06:00.660 He's dead.
01:06:03.240 But the other guy will criticize him
01:06:06.280 with me, too.
01:06:08.020 We'll do that.
01:06:08.920 But we're not going to attack his
01:06:11.620 family.
01:06:13.620 I mean, it is the difference.
01:06:15.180 It is the difference that the media is
01:06:16.980 missing with the Trump coverage.
01:06:19.280 You know, there are things to cover with
01:06:20.760 Donald Trump that aren't good, but but
01:06:23.160 they cover absolutely everything like it
01:06:25.900 is, you know, the Ebola virus.
01:06:28.800 And they don't cover anything that's
01:06:31.120 positive.
01:06:31.880 Correct.
01:06:32.240 They don't cover the employment figures
01:06:34.440 in the minority communities and how,
01:06:37.320 you know, a lot of those neighborhoods
01:06:38.700 are being revitalized because now
01:06:40.960 there's work for people who want it.
01:06:43.080 They don't cover that.
01:06:44.460 All right.
01:06:44.840 Because they don't.
01:06:45.620 That's not in their agenda.
01:06:47.120 Their agenda is to get him out.
01:06:49.120 Their agenda was to kill Fox News.
01:06:51.220 I'm going to lose.
01:06:51.880 I'm going to I'm going to run out of
01:06:53.400 time here.
01:06:53.720 I've got to ask you one more question.
01:06:54.980 And that is on what's his face that's
01:06:58.960 went to trial this week.
01:06:59.960 What's his name?
01:07:00.480 Manafort Manafort Manafort.
01:07:02.660 I'm tired of the coverage of this.
01:07:05.160 This is the Manafort story, as I
01:07:07.440 understand it and believe it to be.
01:07:09.860 Manafort is a dirty, corrupt guy.
01:07:11.920 He's been dirty and corrupt long before
01:07:14.160 he met Donald Trump.
01:07:17.320 He has his business dealings are shading.
01:07:20.820 Shady.
01:07:21.220 He has dealt with thugs, dictators and
01:07:23.460 killers that has nothing to do with
01:07:25.660 Donald Trump.
01:07:26.220 He should most likely go to jail just on
01:07:29.680 what I know.
01:07:30.560 But I'll let a court decide this is a
01:07:33.300 a reasonable trial, but it has nothing
01:07:36.520 to do with collusion and Donald Trump.
01:07:39.440 And that's not the story.
01:07:41.140 The right is saying this guy should never
01:07:43.240 be prosecuted.
01:07:44.180 And the left is saying this proves Donald
01:07:46.420 Trump.
01:07:46.740 And neither of those are true.
01:07:48.380 Well, I haven't heard anybody on the
01:07:51.120 right saying he hasn't been prosecuted.
01:07:53.920 He shouldn't be prosecuted.
01:07:55.340 I haven't heard that.
01:07:56.520 He's a guy.
01:07:57.200 If he is guilty of not paying taxes on
01:08:00.840 $60 million, I mean, it's, you know,
01:08:03.500 hey, hey, hey, goodbye.
01:08:05.840 I mean, that's just the way it is.
01:08:07.860 But there is one element that does
01:08:10.060 attach to Trump.
01:08:10.980 And that's that.
01:08:11.680 And the judge in the case pointed it
01:08:13.600 out verbally.
01:08:14.980 He said, look, I know what this
01:08:16.320 prosecution is about.
01:08:17.700 It's about getting Manafort to say bad
01:08:20.000 things about Trump for us for a lighter
01:08:22.640 sentence.
01:08:23.620 That's what it's about.
01:08:25.260 Right.
01:08:26.400 And so now the American people know
01:08:28.820 what it's about.
01:08:29.540 Right.
01:08:29.880 And that is a separate.
01:08:31.380 We conflate everything.
01:08:32.920 That's a separate issue.
01:08:34.960 The guy is dirty, I think, and should
01:08:37.320 go to jail just based on what I've been.
01:08:39.600 I've covered this guy for a while,
01:08:41.300 you know, before he joined Trump.
01:08:43.360 When Trump picked him, I was like, no, no,
01:08:45.060 no, no, no, no, really bad guy.
01:08:47.640 So we knew who he was and he should
01:08:50.720 most likely go to jail if they can
01:08:52.400 prove his his guilt.
01:08:54.140 However, you know, that's a separate
01:08:57.500 issue from they're just trying to
01:09:00.280 squeeze him because the problem is
01:09:02.540 he's not the only guy that's dirty.
01:09:04.620 You got guys dirty on the on the
01:09:06.500 Democratic side that are just as dirty
01:09:08.960 as Manafort.
01:09:10.540 Sure.
01:09:11.060 I mean, a lobbying thing is just as
01:09:13.360 corrupt as it gets.
01:09:14.680 Cohen's involved with that, too.
01:09:16.140 Yeah.
01:09:16.320 Well, so is Podesta, who just
01:09:19.020 walks out and closes his business.
01:09:21.360 So no questions are asked.
01:09:23.060 Bill O'Reilly, thank you so much for
01:09:24.180 being on the program.
01:09:24.960 I want to say one real quick thing.
01:09:26.660 I'm going to delay the release of
01:09:28.640 Killing the SS because I don't want
01:09:30.740 it to coincide with your book on
01:09:32.480 September 18th.
01:09:32.700 Got to be kidding me.
01:09:33.600 You are not going to believe this.
01:09:35.000 We were talking about delaying the
01:09:36.560 release just because.
01:09:37.680 But there's another factor that
01:09:41.740 we'll talk about, I hope, next week.
01:09:44.220 OK.
01:09:44.620 And that's Bob Woodward.
01:09:47.260 Ah, OK.
01:09:49.320 Good, good.
01:09:49.940 Woodward as well.
01:09:50.500 So what's the release date now, Bill?
01:09:52.400 I don't have a firm one, but I'm not
01:09:54.160 going to compete with Beck on the
01:09:55.540 same week.
01:09:56.720 I'm just I told my publisher I don't
01:09:58.320 want to do that.
01:09:58.780 Yeah, right.
01:10:00.760 Really?
01:10:01.360 That is really kind of you.
01:10:02.600 Thank you very much.
01:10:03.500 I appreciate that.
01:10:04.360 Is this the week that Bob Woodward's
01:10:06.040 releasing his book?
01:10:07.740 September 11th.
01:10:08.720 But the New York Times will put it
01:10:10.560 at number one no matter what.
01:10:12.120 Yes.
01:10:12.500 Yes.
01:10:12.900 OK.
01:10:13.240 Right.
01:10:13.460 Thank you very much, Bill.
01:10:14.280 I appreciate it, guys.
01:10:15.380 All right.
01:10:15.920 Good.
01:10:16.860 All right.
01:10:17.320 Let me tell you about Casper.
01:10:18.800 He said, I'm not I'm not doing it.
01:10:20.520 His book is coming out the week
01:10:21.600 before.
01:10:21.980 He'll be number one and then I will
01:10:23.400 lose my number one position.
01:10:24.420 It had nothing to do with me.
01:10:26.140 That's the no spin zone.
01:10:27.740 That's the no spin zone.
01:10:29.660 All right.
01:10:30.180 It is in the middle of the night
01:10:32.080 and you're tossing and turning.
01:10:34.440 You're not sleeping.
01:10:35.140 You're drenched, covered in sweat.
01:10:37.020 You could run the AC.
01:10:38.380 You could run a fan all night and
01:10:39.740 try to keep cool or you do what I
01:10:41.260 did last night.
01:10:42.280 I had the best sleep I have had in
01:10:44.160 so long.
01:10:46.560 Casper mattress, man.
01:10:48.120 There is nothing like being really
01:10:49.420 tired and hitting the bed after a
01:10:51.000 long day and just being comfortable
01:10:53.200 and being able to sleep and then wake
01:10:55.940 up feeling good.
01:10:57.140 Your body's not sore because of the
01:10:59.420 mattress Casper dot com.
01:11:01.760 I want you to call.
01:11:02.380 Use the promo code back.
01:11:03.360 You're going to you're going to save
01:11:04.400 about 50 bucks on.

01:11:28.980 If you're watching on the blaze, I
01:11:30.860 just retweeted some live video from
01:11:35.120 Phoenix.
01:11:36.060 If you're watching on the blaze now,
01:11:37.700 can you pull that feed up?
01:11:39.420 Look at this.
01:11:40.020 This is this is live from Phoenix.
01:11:43.120 A dust storm.
01:11:45.600 I mean, it looks like the mummy.
01:11:48.140 Doesn't it?
01:11:49.040 Yeah, it looks like Dubai or something.
01:11:51.200 All caused by the rhetoric of Donald
01:11:53.560 Trump.
01:11:53.940 I'm sure.
01:11:54.320 I'm sure of it.
01:11:55.680 It's got to.
01:11:56.220 You think it's Trump's fault?
01:11:57.000 I do.
01:11:57.540 I think where is anybody checked on
01:11:58.880 Jim Acosta?
01:11:59.500 Where is he?
01:12:00.520 Does anybody know?
01:12:01.180 Is he in Phoenix?
01:12:02.140 If Trump makes comments today, I
01:12:03.380 know they'll say Trump comments amid
01:12:06.780 dust storm he created.
01:12:10.000 Or it could be the goats.
01:12:11.760 It could be.
01:12:12.180 Is it trampling goats?
01:12:13.440 It could be.
01:12:14.240 The goats are on the loose.
01:12:15.700 Do we have an update on the goats?
01:12:17.120 We are starting to see now that it
01:12:18.620 appears the goat situation may be
01:12:21.700 under control.
01:12:22.700 We don't know.
01:12:23.200 We don't know.
01:12:24.260 Don't don't say those things and
01:12:25.780 report fake news.
01:12:26.660 The goats may still be out of
01:12:28.800 control.
01:12:29.320 I feel like we lose the ratings
01:12:31.020 bonus.
01:12:31.660 Yes.
01:12:31.980 We say that it's under control.
01:12:34.120 So I'm going to deny that right now.
01:12:36.040 He may be trampled by free range
01:12:39.420 goats.
01:12:40.320 And we'll give that to you in just a
01:12:42.660 second.
01:12:42.920 Is that dust storm not terrifying?
01:12:44.920 If you are listening to us in Phoenix
01:12:46.960 and you are going through it, call us.
01:12:49.000 I'd love to know what it looks like in
01:12:52.900 the, you know, inside the dust storm.
01:12:56.200 Call us if you're listening to us in
01:12:57.760 Phoenix.
01:12:58.580 Back in just a second.
01:13:03.460 Glenn Beck.
01:13:04.880 There's a man rustling cattle.
01:13:08.180 There's a dangerous man on the loose.
01:13:10.180 I got the rope.
01:13:14.300 We got the tree.
01:13:16.540 We just don't have the man.
01:13:19.560 You're all deputized now.
01:13:28.160 In the 1800s, that's how it happened.
01:13:31.260 In the 1900s, first they came for the
01:13:37.920 socialists and I didn't speak out
01:13:39.800 because I wasn't a socialist.
01:13:42.080 Then they came for the trade unionists
01:13:43.580 and I didn't speak out because I wasn't
01:13:44.960 a trade unionist.
01:13:46.000 Then they came for the Jews and I
01:13:48.360 didn't speak out because I'm not a Jew.
01:13:50.760 And then they came for me and there
01:13:53.240 was no one left to speak for me.
01:13:55.300 That's how it happened in the 1900s.
01:14:04.860 How does it happen now?
01:14:08.420 Have you seen what they said on
01:14:10.220 Twitter?
01:14:11.960 Have you seen what they said on
01:14:13.700 Facebook?
01:14:14.880 Do you know who their friends are?
01:14:16.940 Do you realize what they've just read?
01:14:21.140 The anonymous fanatics on Twitter
01:14:23.700 have influenced the media once again.
01:14:26.420 The outrage mob has struck once more.
01:14:29.620 And I'm not talking about the outrage
01:14:31.880 from yesterday with the New York Times.
01:14:34.680 No, no, no.
01:14:35.280 This time the victim is Chris Rock
01:14:37.920 and his crime?
01:14:40.020 Tweeting a link to an article about comedy
01:14:43.400 from a conservative news site.
01:14:48.780 Let me say that again.
01:14:50.740 His crime.
01:14:53.700 Is tweeting a link to an article
01:14:55.580 about comedy
01:14:56.680 from a conservative news site.
01:14:59.540 Chris Rock, who as a comedian,
01:15:01.660 has had his fair share of
01:15:03.600 saying occasionally
01:15:05.400 really hilarious
01:15:06.560 and occasionally
01:15:08.100 offensive things.
01:15:09.380 In this case,
01:15:10.020 he didn't say anything.
01:15:11.540 He didn't say anything
01:15:12.460 at all.
01:15:14.040 At all.
01:15:15.840 Like the Shapiro
01:15:17.220 and Dublas situation.
01:15:18.960 The whole outrage
01:15:20.100 started with an act of camaraderie.
01:15:22.000 The article is well-meaning.
01:15:25.160 He isn't there to blow the...
01:15:26.580 I'm quoting.
01:15:27.100 He isn't there to blow the lid
01:15:28.160 off of any hot stories
01:15:29.280 or try to present his own politics
01:15:30.800 as the only way,
01:15:31.780 the author writes.
01:15:32.600 He simply has coffee
01:15:34.140 with people he finds funny.
01:15:35.700 And whatever they discuss,
01:15:37.000 well,
01:15:37.320 whatever they feel like.
01:15:40.060 This was an article
01:15:41.720 talking about the Seinfeld show.
01:15:44.060 The mere act of mentioning
01:15:46.700 this whole debacle
01:15:48.720 right now
01:15:49.500 empowers the idiocy
01:15:51.640 that drives this mentality.
01:15:55.560 So what are you going to do today?
01:15:58.600 Yesterday we burned some books.
01:16:01.220 What can we do today?
01:16:04.260 We have to dismantle
01:16:05.980 the outrage platform.
01:16:07.980 We have to get control
01:16:09.080 of our own outrage.
01:16:10.400 How long is Twitter
01:16:12.020 going to serve
01:16:12.960 as the cultural gallows?
01:16:14.920 Because that's what they are.
01:16:16.820 The gallows.
01:16:20.160 More importantly,
01:16:21.700 when is the power
01:16:23.720 of anonymous people online
01:16:25.740 going to dwindle?
01:16:27.540 When are these lynch mobs
01:16:29.100 going to go away?
01:16:30.480 When will we finally say,
01:16:32.380 I don't want to be a part
01:16:34.320 or related to
01:16:35.340 in any way, shape, or form
01:16:36.820 or give power
01:16:37.660 to any mob?
01:16:39.260 This is something
01:16:44.040 that I've written about
01:16:45.840 in my new book
01:16:46.620 that's coming out next month
01:16:47.660 called Addicted to Outrage.
01:16:49.240 And I think it's really important
01:16:51.000 that we as a culture
01:16:52.740 confront the bully mentality
01:16:55.020 that social media has taken.
01:16:57.260 It is deeply rooted
01:16:58.720 in our culture of outrage.
01:17:01.820 And you know what?
01:17:03.240 The media is to blame.
01:17:05.760 If the media just stop
01:17:07.380 amplifying the platform,
01:17:08.740 by the way,
01:17:09.300 I put myself in the media,
01:17:12.520 no one would feel
01:17:14.780 empowered enough
01:17:15.540 to take people down,
01:17:16.800 to wreck their lives.
01:17:18.260 And for what?
01:17:19.980 How many of these
01:17:20.880 forest fires of outrage
01:17:22.520 have actually accomplished
01:17:23.540 anything positive?
01:17:24.920 very few.
01:17:30.660 And they are becoming
01:17:31.940 fewer by the day.
01:17:35.560 Now,
01:17:36.260 what they are beginning
01:17:37.000 to accomplish
01:17:37.660 is just dividing
01:17:39.080 our country further,
01:17:41.180 tearing us apart,
01:17:42.480 and making each side
01:17:44.320 outrageously angry
01:17:46.220 at the other.
01:17:47.460 And that is something
01:17:48.760 we certainly
01:17:49.560 do not need more of.
01:17:51.120 It's Friday,
01:17:58.080 August 3rd.
01:17:59.180 This is the Glenn Beck
01:18:00.640 program.
01:18:01.500 Look,
01:18:01.720 here's the real problem.
01:18:05.120 And Stu and I
01:18:05.940 have talked around it today,
01:18:07.040 but we haven't really
01:18:07.620 discussed it.
01:18:09.100 It feels good
01:18:10.580 that we're actually
01:18:11.580 good at this now.
01:18:14.080 You know,
01:18:14.660 this is what they've been
01:18:15.480 doing to us forever.
01:18:17.300 Forever.
01:18:18.440 They've been taking
01:18:19.020 our stuff out of context.
01:18:20.560 They've been taking
01:18:21.120 the slightest offense,
01:18:22.620 and they've been taking it,
01:18:23.800 and they've been hammering us,
01:18:25.040 and they've been
01:18:25.440 destroying us.
01:18:30.300 Is that not what
01:18:31.100 they've been doing?
01:18:31.760 Oh,
01:18:32.040 they've been doing that.
01:18:32.880 Yes.
01:18:33.280 The way you phrased that
01:18:34.600 was it feels good
01:18:35.980 that we're good
01:18:36.720 at this now.
01:18:37.580 No,
01:18:37.840 no,
01:18:37.860 there's a part of me
01:18:40.780 that embraces that.
01:18:43.420 However,
01:18:43.880 I think
01:18:44.680 I find myself
01:18:45.800 more disappointed
01:18:47.200 that we would want
01:18:48.320 to apply that standard
01:18:49.400 to anyone else.
01:18:50.300 So,
01:18:50.700 I agree with you.
01:18:51.880 I absolutely agree with you.
01:18:53.480 I'm talking about
01:18:54.620 the gut level.
01:18:57.620 Yep.
01:18:58.360 You SOBs
01:18:59.780 have been doing this
01:19:00.740 forever.
01:19:01.820 Yeah,
01:19:02.280 you don't,
01:19:02.880 oh,
01:19:03.160 you don't like it.
01:19:04.360 Yeah.
01:19:04.560 Oh,
01:19:04.820 really?
01:19:05.380 You cleared the forest.
01:19:06.340 Oh,
01:19:06.780 it hurts.
01:19:06.980 You smoothed the road,
01:19:08.960 you paved it,
01:19:09.780 and now you're upset
01:19:10.340 people are driving down it.
01:19:11.460 Yeah,
01:19:11.480 I mean,
01:19:11.840 it's,
01:19:11.940 and that is,
01:19:12.580 you're right.
01:19:13.080 To hear Jim Acosta say,
01:19:14.880 you know,
01:19:15.380 hey,
01:19:15.620 well,
01:19:15.920 you get secret service
01:19:16.980 protection,
01:19:17.480 and we don't.
01:19:18.980 Yeah,
01:19:19.120 you know how much,
01:19:19.820 I've spent about
01:19:20.360 six million dollars
01:19:22.520 in the last 15 years
01:19:24.180 on security.
01:19:26.580 That's a lot of money.
01:19:27.640 That's a lot of money.
01:19:29.700 Would have been better
01:19:30.280 utilized in raises
01:19:31.460 for employees,
01:19:32.260 for example.
01:19:32.940 Anything,
01:19:33.780 anything,
01:19:34.220 but I don't take a chance
01:19:36.400 with my family's.
01:19:37.680 I don't take a chance
01:19:38.520 with my family's life.
01:19:39.640 Of course.
01:19:39.980 My family has been
01:19:41.040 threatened.
01:19:42.780 For a while,
01:19:43.780 we lived in practically
01:19:45.240 a prison because
01:19:46.440 of the threats,
01:19:47.280 and to hear the CNN
01:19:48.820 people talk about,
01:19:50.020 oh,
01:19:50.180 well,
01:19:50.340 you know,
01:19:50.700 we don't have,
01:19:52.380 excuse me?
01:19:53.120 Well,
01:19:53.220 to be fair,
01:19:53.680 they did a lot of
01:19:54.320 segments talking about
01:19:55.240 how bad it was
01:19:56.020 and the pressure
01:19:56.520 you were under
01:19:57.160 and the fact that
01:19:58.040 you had to deal
01:19:58.680 with all these threats.
01:19:59.720 That was a big topic
01:20:00.560 of discussion.
01:20:01.280 No,
01:20:01.400 it was never.
01:20:01.960 Oh,
01:20:02.140 really?
01:20:02.380 Never?
01:20:02.660 Yeah,
01:20:02.780 it was never.
01:20:03.200 Oh,
01:20:03.380 okay.
01:20:03.720 It was never.
01:20:05.320 It was never.
01:20:06.320 Never.
01:20:06.800 They did the same thing,
01:20:08.360 and so it is really,
01:20:10.320 really hard.
01:20:11.460 I mean,
01:20:11.800 I listen to these
01:20:13.380 crybabies at CNN.
01:20:15.960 See,
01:20:16.100 that's unfair of me.
01:20:17.500 That's unfair of me
01:20:18.320 because I know
01:20:19.560 what they're going through,
01:20:20.880 but they won't listen
01:20:23.720 to somebody
01:20:24.620 just like they said
01:20:25.520 about me.
01:20:26.860 You have no idea
01:20:28.040 what you're even doing.
01:20:29.360 Well,
01:20:29.560 you know what?
01:20:31.000 Part of that is true.
01:20:32.360 Part of that was,
01:20:33.320 you're right.
01:20:33.780 I didn't.
01:20:35.400 I didn't.
01:20:36.380 I'm not changing
01:20:37.860 any of my opinions,
01:20:39.080 but I should have changed
01:20:41.680 my approach,
01:20:42.520 perhaps.
01:20:45.360 Now,
01:20:45.940 I could say the same thing
01:20:47.360 and have tried
01:20:48.860 to say the same thing
01:20:50.220 to the left.
01:20:51.820 Look,
01:20:52.320 guys,
01:20:52.860 I'm asking you
01:20:53.540 to change your opinion.
01:20:54.300 I'm asking you
01:20:54.820 to change your approach.
01:20:55.920 You are doing damage
01:20:58.140 that will haunt you
01:20:59.940 for the rest of your life.
01:21:01.940 I'm beginning to think now.
01:21:03.160 No,
01:21:03.340 it won't.
01:21:04.200 They don't have
01:21:05.080 any conscience.
01:21:06.460 They don't have
01:21:07.200 any opportunity
01:21:09.580 ever to reflect
01:21:11.700 because everyone
01:21:13.140 they're surrounded by
01:21:14.660 is part of the
01:21:15.940 cheering section.
01:21:16.940 It's like they live
01:21:18.700 as Bill Maher
01:21:20.060 with that audience
01:21:21.500 traveling with them
01:21:22.700 all the time.
01:21:24.700 And occasionally
01:21:25.780 they'll go to
01:21:26.580 a Trump rally
01:21:27.500 and they'll meet
01:21:29.040 these people.
01:21:29.780 They're out of control.
01:21:30.960 They all think
01:21:32.060 that we're bad
01:21:32.960 without ever
01:21:33.980 asking themselves
01:21:35.080 what is it
01:21:36.700 we're doing
01:21:37.660 that is causing
01:21:39.320 50% of the nation.
01:21:42.160 Now,
01:21:42.800 it is really easy
01:21:44.060 for you to sit there,
01:21:45.980 CNN,
01:21:46.820 and to think,
01:21:47.540 nothing,
01:21:47.980 we're not doing anything
01:21:48.920 just as I did.
01:21:52.320 I'm not doing anything.
01:21:53.760 I'm speaking the truth.
01:21:55.180 I'm speaking truth
01:21:56.560 to power.
01:21:57.280 And that indeed
01:22:00.940 was true.
01:22:02.960 However,
01:22:03.820 my approach
01:22:05.100 coupled with
01:22:07.880 the way
01:22:08.620 media matters
01:22:09.560 and everyone else
01:22:10.380 took everything
01:22:11.260 out of context
01:22:12.180 and you
01:22:13.380 supported it
01:22:14.940 made things
01:22:17.220 much worse
01:22:18.220 in the country
01:22:18.960 and
01:22:20.000 caused real damage
01:22:22.480 to me
01:22:23.180 and to my family
01:22:24.460 and to my safety.
01:22:25.420 But you didn't care
01:22:27.740 because you said,
01:22:29.960 well,
01:22:30.080 you just brought it
01:22:30.880 upon yourself.
01:22:31.620 You deserve it.
01:22:33.060 They're still saying that.
01:22:34.420 You deserve it.
01:22:37.440 Okay,
01:22:38.040 well,
01:22:38.340 what are you going to do,
01:22:39.020 CNN?
01:22:39.520 You got 50% of the country.
01:22:41.700 Now,
01:22:41.900 some of us,
01:22:42.500 I did.
01:22:43.080 I recognized,
01:22:44.020 you know what?
01:22:44.560 This whole American experiment
01:22:46.360 doesn't work
01:22:47.660 with only 50%
01:22:48.880 of the country.
01:22:49.700 We have to find a way
01:22:51.340 to come back together.
01:22:53.400 Otherwise,
01:22:54.360 some point,
01:22:55.320 somebody's going to have power
01:22:56.780 and get so pissed off
01:22:57.900 and say,
01:22:58.300 it's those people
01:22:59.860 because this is the way
01:23:00.540 history happens
01:23:01.260 and we're going to round up
01:23:02.380 or kill those people.
01:23:03.700 They have to be silenced
01:23:04.800 and we're already
01:23:05.880 standing at the gallows
01:23:07.600 of Twitter every day.
01:23:09.320 This is the beginning
01:23:10.440 of people being rounded up.
01:23:12.580 We are having McCarthy hearings
01:23:14.480 without McCarthy,
01:23:16.600 without the Congress
01:23:17.840 and without hearings.
01:23:19.840 We're having the Twitter hearings.
01:23:22.120 It's really true.
01:23:24.880 There's no hearing anymore.
01:23:25.840 There's no hearing.
01:23:27.060 Nobody is standing up saying,
01:23:28.660 have you no shame
01:23:30.160 because they don't have
01:23:31.380 an opportunity
01:23:31.860 to even talk back.
01:23:34.180 Most of the times,
01:23:34.980 you don't even know
01:23:35.600 what you're accused of.
01:23:38.220 Yeah,
01:23:38.740 it really is amazing
01:23:39.600 and it's frustrating
01:23:42.180 but the argument
01:23:42.920 to maintain this standard
01:23:44.440 I think is weak,
01:23:45.300 right?
01:23:46.140 We are,
01:23:47.460 let's say,
01:23:47.680 a victim of someone
01:23:49.680 on our side
01:23:50.420 making maybe a joke
01:23:52.060 or an off-caller comment
01:23:53.300 or something
01:23:53.820 that's not really that serious
01:23:54.840 and they get fired for.
01:23:55.640 Kevin Williamson
01:23:56.280 maybe being the best example
01:23:57.660 of this recently
01:23:58.420 where he loses his job
01:23:59.880 at the Atlantic
01:24:00.400 completely unfairly
01:24:01.760 over a nonsensical
01:24:03.140 Twitter outrage.
01:24:05.440 So,
01:24:05.940 the arguments
01:24:06.580 split there,
01:24:07.720 right?
01:24:08.000 What do you do?
01:24:08.900 Next time,
01:24:09.480 there's one that comes out
01:24:10.300 kind of the same situation.
01:24:11.580 I think,
01:24:12.100 you know,
01:24:12.400 there's more evidence here
01:24:13.640 for the New York Times person
01:24:14.720 to be fired than Kevin.
01:24:16.040 I mean,
01:24:16.220 Kevin was making a point
01:24:17.340 bringing it to its
01:24:18.000 logical extreme
01:24:19.060 and he's talked about it
01:24:21.260 on the show this week.
01:24:23.180 You know,
01:24:23.800 here she's making
01:24:24.740 blatantly racist comments.
01:24:26.380 I mean,
01:24:26.620 blatantly racist comments.
01:24:28.500 There might even be
01:24:29.100 a better argument
01:24:29.740 for her to be fired
01:24:30.660 than Kevin.
01:24:31.300 However,
01:24:31.740 if we believe
01:24:32.780 the Kevin thing was wrong
01:24:33.800 and we apply
01:24:35.560 the same standard
01:24:36.420 to the other side,
01:24:37.860 our argument
01:24:38.960 purely is
01:24:40.200 two wrongs
01:24:41.300 make a right.
01:24:42.800 We are saying,
01:24:43.700 you know what?
01:24:43.980 We can't.
01:24:44.500 We keep getting beat up.
01:24:45.440 We have to do
01:24:46.000 something different.
01:24:46.700 We have to go over
01:24:47.440 and use their terrible standard
01:24:48.860 on other people
01:24:49.680 because two wrongs
01:24:50.960 make a right
01:24:51.680 or at least
01:24:52.620 it's not as much a wrong
01:24:54.020 and I don't know.
01:24:55.560 I just don't want to go
01:24:56.280 down that road personally.
01:24:57.480 I can understand
01:24:58.020 you do.
01:24:58.780 I mean,
01:24:58.980 we talk about this a lot
01:25:00.640 about we love
01:25:01.940 when liberals
01:25:02.400 eat their own.
01:25:03.100 It's a fun,
01:25:04.260 there's a bit
01:25:05.020 of satisfaction in it.
01:25:07.600 It's because,
01:25:08.160 it's because,
01:25:08.920 oh really?
01:25:09.400 You were part
01:25:10.480 of the mob.
01:25:11.080 First they came
01:25:11.840 for Glenn Beck,
01:25:13.240 then they came
01:25:13.640 for Bill O'Reilly.
01:25:14.340 You said nothing
01:25:14.860 because you weren't there
01:25:15.440 and now they're coming
01:25:16.080 for you and there's
01:25:17.000 no one left
01:25:17.940 to defend you.
01:25:18.540 I mean,
01:25:18.720 you brought up
01:25:19.060 media matters.
01:25:19.660 Here's an organization
01:25:20.440 as stated by her,
01:25:25.000 partially created
01:25:26.060 by Hillary Clinton
01:25:27.300 along with money
01:25:28.920 from George Soros
01:25:30.020 and all the big names
01:25:31.540 you've heard
01:25:31.960 over the years
01:25:32.540 that was specifically
01:25:34.160 designed,
01:25:35.540 specifically designed
01:25:37.280 to take comments
01:25:39.060 out of context,
01:25:40.960 plaster them all
01:25:41.840 over the media
01:25:42.420 to ruin people's lives.
01:25:44.200 It is absolutely
01:25:45.500 their only jobs
01:25:46.960 in the world.
01:25:48.140 Okay?
01:25:48.500 They created organizations
01:25:50.380 and funded them
01:25:51.440 with tens of millions
01:25:52.780 of dollars
01:25:53.340 for this purpose
01:25:54.060 and now they're like,
01:25:55.080 well,
01:25:55.320 we have to secret,
01:25:56.260 we have to really look
01:25:57.360 at her comments
01:25:58.680 on Twitter.
01:25:59.340 Were they fairly,
01:25:59.980 maybe she was doing
01:26:01.560 satire.
01:26:02.680 Maybe,
01:26:03.120 I don't know,
01:26:03.840 maybe she was
01:26:04.720 trying to respond
01:26:06.320 with equal amounts
01:26:07.560 of animosity
01:26:08.240 to make a point.
01:26:09.780 Whatever this is,
01:26:10.880 by the way,
01:26:11.380 all those are
01:26:11.840 fair,
01:26:12.480 fine arguments
01:26:13.240 that I actually
01:26:14.540 side with.
01:26:15.660 I don't think
01:26:16.280 any of these people
01:26:17.060 should be getting fired
01:26:17.900 but the idea
01:26:19.000 that the same group
01:26:20.280 that took the research
01:26:22.000 directly from the interns
01:26:24.460 at media matters
01:26:25.260 and put it all over
01:26:26.480 their newspapers
01:26:27.160 for years and years
01:26:28.600 and years
01:26:28.940 and would never
01:26:29.900 accept comedy,
01:26:32.140 sarcasm,
01:26:33.180 subtlety,
01:26:34.260 context,
01:26:35.380 none of it.
01:26:36.040 All of a sudden
01:26:36.840 they're going through
01:26:37.720 all sorts of
01:26:39.340 mental gymnastics
01:26:40.160 to justify
01:26:41.080 why this one
01:26:42.060 is different
01:26:42.640 and that is
01:26:43.660 incredibly frustrating.
01:26:45.160 I wish
01:26:45.520 there would be
01:26:46.280 a little bit
01:26:47.040 of a self-examination
01:26:49.000 here.
01:26:49.460 Let's just say,
01:26:50.220 let's do a guide.
01:26:51.180 Tell me if you think
01:26:51.680 I'm wrong here.
01:26:52.860 Quick guide for media
01:26:53.740 sources who have
01:26:54.800 these situations
01:26:55.440 where someone
01:26:56.180 on their side
01:26:56.900 is involved
01:26:57.820 in a Twitter controversy.
01:26:58.760 One,
01:26:59.660 take the controversial
01:27:00.360 comments
01:27:00.920 and flip the keyword.
01:27:02.780 Then,
01:27:03.540 importantly,
01:27:04.520 say it out loud
01:27:05.420 to yourself.
01:27:06.720 Take white
01:27:07.400 and turn it to black
01:27:08.840 and say it out loud.
01:27:10.900 Would you,
01:27:12.000 do you think
01:27:12.360 that feels racist?
01:27:13.260 Would you fire a person
01:27:14.420 who said it
01:27:15.120 with the other word involved?
01:27:16.160 Would you be friends
01:27:17.040 with that person?
01:27:17.900 Would you defend
01:27:18.640 that person?
01:27:19.520 And I think
01:27:20.140 you should go
01:27:20.560 a step further.
01:27:21.220 If you think
01:27:22.460 it's not racist,
01:27:24.180 then you should
01:27:24.980 tweet it.
01:27:26.740 Just reverse it
01:27:28.040 from white
01:27:28.900 to black.
01:27:29.720 And you know what?
01:27:30.260 From black
01:27:30.860 to white.
01:27:31.560 And do it
01:27:31.920 without context.
01:27:33.820 Don't put any
01:27:34.640 context around it
01:27:35.440 because you're not
01:27:35.780 going to allow context
01:27:36.720 in some of these
01:27:37.480 situations.
01:27:38.240 Just tweet it
01:27:38.940 out there.
01:27:39.840 Say it to yourself.
01:27:40.980 Tweet it out there
01:27:41.900 if you don't think
01:27:42.900 it's racist
01:27:43.480 with the other word.
01:27:45.200 Were you consistent
01:27:46.380 in your response
01:27:47.420 when you changed
01:27:48.460 the word?
01:27:49.320 When you changed
01:27:50.160 it from white
01:27:50.580 to black.
01:27:51.400 Did you say
01:27:51.980 the first time
01:27:52.720 it was okay
01:27:53.400 and the second time
01:27:54.100 you should fire
01:27:54.500 the person?
01:27:55.300 Because if so,
01:27:56.020 you're applying
01:27:56.500 a double standard.
01:27:57.260 But that doesn't
01:27:57.840 mean your job
01:27:58.400 is done.
01:27:59.120 You've got more
01:27:59.520 to do.
01:28:00.560 Ask yourself
01:28:01.380 what part
01:28:02.420 of the standard
01:28:03.320 was flawed.
01:28:04.460 What part
01:28:05.060 of your analysis
01:28:05.740 was flawed
01:28:06.320 if you're applying
01:28:06.900 a double standard?
01:28:07.960 Should you
01:28:08.560 attack and fire
01:28:10.260 more people
01:28:11.180 and maintain
01:28:12.040 your previous standard
01:28:13.240 or should you
01:28:14.500 become more lenient
01:28:15.460 with what you allow?
01:28:17.480 Think about that.
01:28:18.480 Which one is it?
01:28:19.460 Pick one.
01:28:20.580 You're still not done
01:28:21.680 with this difficult
01:28:22.300 process however.
01:28:24.000 Pick one of those
01:28:24.820 then write it down.
01:28:26.800 Put it in giant font.
01:28:28.460 Tape it all over
01:28:29.300 your office
01:28:29.900 and apply it
01:28:31.500 consistently
01:28:32.180 next time
01:28:33.480 regardless of party.
01:28:36.180 Apply that standard
01:28:37.260 consistently next time.
01:28:39.100 Whichever one you pick.
01:28:40.360 If you are going to be
01:28:41.360 for firing
01:28:42.240 everybody
01:28:43.180 every time
01:28:44.300 something controversial
01:28:45.360 is unearthed
01:28:48.360 okay
01:28:48.780 but apply it
01:28:50.080 consistently
01:28:50.620 and the same thing
01:28:51.580 the other way.
01:28:52.300 Alright so
01:28:52.820 let me tell you
01:28:54.200 why you're
01:28:55.200 absolutely right
01:28:56.260 but you're expecting
01:28:58.060 something to happen
01:28:59.020 that cannot happen.
01:29:01.660 It cannot happen.
01:29:02.780 And it's not that
01:29:04.200 oh they just won't do it.
01:29:05.340 No.
01:29:05.620 It cannot happen.
01:29:08.160 And I'll explain why
01:29:08.820 here in a second.
01:29:09.300 Filter by
01:29:11.400 air pollution
01:29:12.340 national parks
01:29:13.380 is as bad
01:29:14.020 as the top 20
01:29:14.680 major cities
01:29:15.300 and because
01:29:15.880 the parks
01:29:16.940 are downwind
01:29:17.560 from you know
01:29:18.260 the air pollution
01:29:18.840 sources
01:29:19.360 you know
01:29:20.380 major highways
01:29:21.300 urban pollutants
01:29:22.400 so you get it.
01:29:23.920 Can you imagine
01:29:24.580 what it
01:29:25.040 do we have
01:29:25.400 anybody online
01:29:25.980 yet from Phoenix?
01:29:27.540 We got to get
01:29:28.020 somebody online
01:29:28.520 from Phoenix
01:29:28.940 who is sitting
01:29:30.300 in that.
01:29:31.320 We do?

01:29:34.940 If you're in Phoenix
01:29:35.820 and you were part
01:29:36.680 of that
01:29:37.080 that amazing
01:29:38.120 sandstorm
01:29:38.960 that was
01:29:39.520 rolling through
01:29:40.340 I want to hear
01:29:41.700 from you
01:29:41.980 but can you imagine
01:29:42.600 how dirty
01:29:43.100 the filters
01:29:43.560 are now
01:29:44.040 today?
01:29:45.680 You have to
01:29:47.060 change your
01:29:47.700 filters
01:29:48.080 and you don't
01:29:48.800 need a sandstorm
01:29:49.560 you just need
01:29:50.320 regular life.

01:29:56.980 because your
01:29:57.800 air conditioning
01:29:59.900 is working
01:30:00.460 overtime
01:30:01.140 this summer
01:30:02.080 and if it
01:30:03.240 gets clogged
01:30:03.960 or is dirty
01:30:04.880 at all
01:30:05.320 it just
01:30:05.860 slows down

01:30:33.960 what are you
01:30:34.520 looking for
01:30:35.260 when you
01:30:35.680 say let's
01:30:36.340 you know
01:30:37.180 let's
01:30:37.580 let's reason
01:30:38.060 this out
01:30:38.360 what are you
01:30:38.660 looking to
01:30:39.260 accomplish
01:30:39.620 what are you
01:30:40.180 looking for
01:30:40.760 I mean
01:30:42.040 I want
01:30:42.720 I want a
01:30:43.820 standard applied
01:30:44.540 consistently
01:30:45.360 consistently
01:30:45.880 ideally the
01:30:46.760 one that is
01:30:47.620 people are
01:30:48.540 able to
01:30:49.100 speak their
01:30:49.600 mind and
01:30:50.020 not not
01:30:51.100 be taken
01:30:51.480 out of
01:30:51.720 context
01:30:52.040 but you're
01:30:52.340 looking for
01:30:52.840 people to
01:30:53.340 engage in
01:30:53.860 critical
01:30:54.140 thinking
01:30:54.540 you're
01:30:54.960 looking for
01:30:55.600 consistency
01:30:56.520 yes
01:30:56.940 you're
01:30:57.200 looking for
01:30:57.800 some sort
01:30:58.700 of truth
01:30:59.380 or principle
01:31:00.340 yes
01:31:01.360 okay
01:31:01.760 all right
01:31:02.280 never going
01:31:03.620 to happen
01:31:04.060 and cannot
01:31:05.060 happen
01:31:05.540 it listen
01:31:06.440 to me
01:31:06.760 cannot
01:31:07.580 happen
01:31:08.060 and until
01:31:08.920 you understand
01:31:09.720 this principle
01:31:10.440 it's like
01:31:10.820 understanding
01:31:11.300 progressivism
01:31:12.020 if you
01:31:12.740 didn't
01:31:13.180 understand
01:31:13.620 progressivism
01:31:14.320 you'd have
01:31:14.720 no idea
01:31:15.340 how to
01:31:15.640 deal with
01:31:15.980 it
01:31:16.120 if you
01:31:16.760 do not
01:31:17.420 understand
01:31:18.120 the goal
01:31:19.020 of post
01:31:19.520 modernism
01:31:20.100 you cannot
01:31:20.960 survive
01:31:21.540 we will
01:31:22.000 lose
01:31:22.460 this fight
01:31:23.100 what you're
01:31:24.500 asking
01:31:25.120 will
01:31:26.400 not
01:31:27.220 happen
01:31:27.820 because
01:31:28.880 the goal
01:31:30.280 of post
01:31:30.800 modernism
01:31:31.400 is to
01:31:32.060 destroy
01:31:32.860 the western
01:31:34.680 way of
01:31:35.100 life
01:31:35.440 okay
01:31:35.900 the western
01:31:36.640 culture
01:31:37.400 critical
01:31:39.020 thinking
01:31:39.560 and scientific
01:31:40.540 analysis
01:31:41.160 is what
01:31:42.020 created
01:31:42.800 this culture
01:31:44.180 okay
01:31:45.300 a set
01:31:46.220 of principles
01:31:47.000 and truths
01:31:47.820 they created
01:31:49.080 this culture
01:31:49.860 it built
01:31:50.660 what we have
01:31:51.640 and they
01:31:52.380 believe what
01:31:53.060 we have
01:31:53.700 is oppressive
01:31:55.280 wrong
01:31:56.260 it must
01:31:57.440 be stopped
01:31:58.280 it gave
01:31:59.220 us the
01:31:59.700 principles
01:32:00.280 that created
01:32:01.020 this stable
01:32:02.140 culture
01:32:02.660 that was
01:32:03.360 built on
01:32:03.980 certain truths
01:32:04.980 that we
01:32:05.380 found self
01:32:06.040 evident
01:32:06.320 those truths
01:32:08.120 that stability
01:32:09.220 that culture
01:32:10.040 they say
01:32:10.540 are all
01:32:11.100 wrong
01:32:11.500 okay
01:32:13.100 so
01:32:13.720 if you're
01:32:14.640 setting out
01:32:15.380 to destroy
01:32:16.360 it
01:32:16.680 anything
01:32:18.320 that
01:32:19.100 is
01:32:19.840 is
01:32:20.280 help
01:32:20.720 to
01:32:21.180 is helping
01:32:21.760 stabilize
01:32:22.600 prop up
01:32:23.780 or continue
01:32:24.820 the western
01:32:25.620 set of
01:32:26.260 values
01:32:26.800 has to
01:32:28.420 be destroyed
01:32:29.080 okay
01:32:30.580 there is
01:32:31.400 what do
01:32:31.760 they set
01:32:32.080 out
01:32:32.260 there are
01:32:32.680 no truth
01:32:33.100 there is
01:32:33.420 no truth
01:32:33.880 there is
01:32:34.340 no truth
01:32:34.760 there's
01:32:35.060 no objective
01:32:35.660 truth
01:32:35.940 it's all
01:32:36.380 subjective
01:32:36.900 okay
01:32:37.900 well if
01:32:39.360 it's all
01:32:39.820 subjective
01:32:40.440 and your
01:32:41.420 goal is to
01:32:42.000 destroy the
01:32:42.980 western way
01:32:43.540 of life
01:32:44.080 then you'll
01:32:45.160 use any
01:32:45.580 tool you
01:32:46.140 have to
01:32:46.720 and that
01:32:47.840 tool works
01:32:48.480 for me
01:32:49.240 but not
01:32:50.360 for you
01:32:50.920 because
01:32:51.720 you
01:32:52.280 are
01:32:52.960 propping
01:32:53.420 up the
01:32:53.820 system
01:32:54.200 and
01:32:54.540 continuing
01:32:55.080 these
01:32:55.560 truths
01:32:56.100 you
01:32:56.880 must
01:32:57.400 be
01:32:57.640 destroyed
01:32:58.140 for me
01:32:59.060 to accomplish
01:32:59.660 my goal

01:33:09.720 we have a
01:33:10.360 goat update
01:33:11.140 we have a
01:33:11.960 goat update
01:33:12.520 we do
01:33:12.900 okay
01:33:13.280 Pat Gray
01:33:14.260 joins us
01:33:14.820 Pat I don't
01:33:15.560 know if
01:33:15.760 you've heard
01:33:16.060 the developing
01:33:16.580 story that's
01:33:17.280 happened today
01:33:17.820 we started
01:33:19.060 with breaking
01:33:19.620 about a
01:33:20.060 thousand goats
01:33:20.680 are on the
01:33:21.000 loose right
01:33:21.340 now in a
01:33:21.680 Boise
01:33:21.900 neighborhood
01:33:22.360 actually a
01:33:23.580 hundred not
01:33:24.040 a thousand
01:33:24.760 they are
01:33:25.680 that would
01:33:26.060 have been
01:33:26.180 really crazy
01:33:27.460 in fact ten
01:33:28.080 times as
01:33:28.580 crazy almost
01:33:29.200 exactly
01:33:29.600 they are going
01:33:30.920 house to
01:33:31.320 house eating
01:33:31.780 everything in
01:33:32.280 sight no one
01:33:32.880 has a clue
01:33:33.300 where they
01:33:33.600 came from
01:33:34.100 updates to
01:33:34.680 follow and
01:33:35.420 they have
01:33:35.640 pictures of
01:33:36.180 just goats
01:33:36.900 all over
01:33:37.200 people's lawns
01:33:37.980 trying to
01:33:38.280 climb trees
01:33:38.860 and eating
01:33:39.200 things off
01:33:39.640 climbing
01:33:39.920 goats trying
01:33:41.940 to climb
01:33:42.260 trees yeah
01:33:42.840 they I've
01:33:43.660 seen the
01:33:44.020 video it's
01:33:44.540 pretty amazing
01:33:45.160 they're
01:33:46.360 going up
01:33:46.920 against
01:33:47.140 they're trying
01:33:47.480 to climb
01:33:47.760 the tree
01:33:48.140 I don't
01:33:48.540 think they're
01:33:48.860 actually trying
01:33:49.420 to climb
01:33:49.800 I disagree
01:33:50.340 they're trying
01:33:50.800 to get some
01:33:51.260 leaves off
01:33:51.780 of the tree
01:33:52.120 however we
01:33:53.380 do have
01:33:53.780 this the
01:33:55.320 the loose
01:33:57.320 goats have
01:33:57.800 been cornered
01:33:58.700 and loaded
01:34:00.060 back onto a
01:34:00.860 truck owned
01:34:01.760 by the company
01:34:02.580 we rent
01:34:03.740 goats dot com
01:34:04.880 so apparently
01:34:06.540 shut up
01:34:07.400 we rent
01:34:08.000 goats dot com
01:34:09.420 exists number
01:34:10.200 one and
01:34:11.760 number two I
01:34:12.360 don't know if
01:34:12.620 they left their
01:34:13.080 truck open and
01:34:14.300 the goats just
01:34:14.920 are like you
01:34:15.340 know what we're
01:34:15.660 gonna get out
01:34:16.200 and get something
01:34:16.540 to eat
01:34:16.880 this just gives
01:34:17.720 me all kinds
01:34:18.300 of ideas
01:34:18.840 what can I
01:34:20.060 do who
01:34:20.600 could I
01:34:21.020 deliver a
01:34:21.800 truckload of
01:34:22.480 goats to
01:34:23.260 that would be
01:34:26.860 really satisfying
01:34:27.680 if you have an
01:34:29.220 enemy just
01:34:29.660 someone just
01:34:30.020 drop a
01:34:30.780 couple hundred
01:34:31.540 goats off the
01:34:32.180 lawn press two
01:34:33.100 can play at this
01:34:33.860 game two can
01:34:35.060 play at this
01:34:35.540 game poor
01:34:37.000 Jim Acosta soon
01:34:37.880 is gonna have a
01:34:38.560 hundred goats on
01:34:39.360 his front lawn
01:34:39.940 so we were
01:34:40.640 just talking
01:34:41.140 about you
01:34:41.900 know why
01:34:42.520 you cannot
01:34:43.540 connect with
01:34:44.580 truth in
01:34:46.160 reality why
01:34:46.840 it will never
01:34:47.540 happen because
01:34:49.060 if the goal of
01:34:50.760 a postmodernist
01:34:51.700 is to destroy
01:34:52.780 the western way
01:34:53.560 of life to
01:34:54.060 destroy the
01:34:54.820 hierarchy the
01:34:56.620 things that got
01:34:58.040 that hierarchy
01:34:58.840 into place
01:35:00.020 reason scientific
01:35:01.540 analysis principles
01:35:03.540 truth and if
01:35:05.420 you are standing
01:35:06.620 up for those
01:35:07.420 principles and
01:35:08.120 those truths
01:35:08.900 that that built
01:35:10.080 this culture then
01:35:11.180 you are part of
01:35:12.020 the problem and
01:35:13.400 they can use it
01:35:15.320 against you because
01:35:16.560 you are part of
01:35:17.520 the problem but
01:35:19.000 they're not guilty
01:35:20.280 of anything because
01:35:21.840 their goal was to
01:35:23.280 destroy the culture
01:35:24.320 and this is why
01:35:26.460 it's so important
01:35:27.260 that we do not
01:35:28.740 change our
01:35:30.020 principles why we
01:35:31.800 don't get involved
01:35:32.960 in these things
01:35:33.900 because what is
01:35:35.880 what what is one
01:35:37.980 of the key
01:35:38.560 factors of the
01:35:39.760 western culture
01:35:40.540 why have we been
01:35:41.800 so successful in
01:35:42.740 America because
01:35:45.200 we're stable we're
01:35:46.860 stable we don't we
01:35:47.860 don't kill each
01:35:48.440 other we don't
01:35:49.480 have we don't have
01:35:50.560 the strife that
01:35:51.400 everybody else has
01:35:52.180 we're a stable
01:35:53.200 nation we found
01:35:55.080 a way to live
01:35:56.180 together for a
01:35:57.420 very long time
01:35:58.460 well now we
01:36:00.880 we've lost that
01:36:01.740 ability to live
01:36:02.440 together and so
01:36:03.980 everything if your
01:36:04.940 goal is to
01:36:05.960 destabilize and
01:36:07.300 to destroy the
01:36:08.200 culture what
01:36:09.480 you need is
01:36:10.580 somebody to get
01:36:11.880 off of those
01:36:12.840 principles forget
01:36:13.860 the principles forget
01:36:15.040 the truth forget
01:36:16.340 kindness forget
01:36:17.400 your Judeo-Christian
01:36:18.680 thoughts forget all
01:36:20.800 of those things win
01:36:22.660 destroy beat them
01:36:25.160 now you're playing
01:36:26.800 and it feels good
01:36:28.100 two can play at
01:36:29.500 this game oh
01:36:31.060 really you think
01:36:31.620 you've been good
01:36:32.200 look we're getting
01:36:33.220 pretty good at this
01:36:33.920 now aren't we that
01:36:35.240 should terrify you if
01:36:36.680 you care about
01:36:37.720 America and the
01:36:39.560 Western way of life
01:36:40.700 because the fastest
01:36:42.380 way to get us to
01:36:43.520 destroy is them to
01:36:45.300 not play by the
01:36:46.420 rules for them not
01:36:47.780 to engage in
01:36:49.800 reason only so we
01:36:53.300 will then as well
01:36:54.440 once we're both
01:36:56.800 doing it where is
01:36:59.880 the culture where
01:37:02.040 are the truths and
01:37:02.900 the principles that
01:37:03.640 built us nowhere
01:37:05.260 because it strikes
01:37:06.800 me as we're going
01:37:07.320 down that road a
01:37:07.920 little bit on the
01:37:08.340 right with some of
01:37:09.120 these controversies
01:37:09.960 where we're saying
01:37:10.880 hey the standard you
01:37:12.560 applied to some my
01:37:15.060 ally was unfair it
01:37:17.040 was a terrible
01:37:17.500 standard and what you
01:37:18.740 did was completely
01:37:19.400 wrong now the same
01:37:21.060 thing happens to
01:37:21.660 someone on the other
01:37:22.140 side and we say hey
01:37:23.500 you know that really
01:37:24.300 crappy standard we all
01:37:25.340 hated let's apply it to
01:37:26.420 them and there's a
01:37:27.960 there's a temptation I
01:37:29.140 think that it's really
01:37:30.160 sensible have you heard
01:37:31.340 the have you heard the
01:37:32.000 latest with the latest
01:37:33.500 Twitter hanging what's
01:37:34.480 the latest in your head
01:37:35.440 it's the latest Twitter
01:37:36.480 hanging I New York
01:37:41.120 Times yeah probably
01:37:42.680 okay no there's a new
01:37:44.020 one today hang on do
01:37:46.320 we have the addicted
01:37:46.940 to outrage Pat hasn't
01:37:48.440 had his fix yet today
01:37:49.380 apparently addicted to
01:37:51.240 outrage put this needle
01:37:53.640 in your arm okay Chris
01:37:55.080 Rock just tweeted a an
01:37:57.400 article that said nice
01:37:58.600 things about Jerry
01:38:00.000 Seinfeld's show you
01:38:01.480 know comedian cars
01:38:02.340 having coffee and he's
01:38:04.780 in trouble for it now
01:38:05.740 he's being beaten up
01:38:07.080 because that nice story
01:38:08.980 about that was from a
01:38:10.580 conservative website and
01:38:13.460 so he has to be destroyed
01:38:14.580 today is that crazy
01:38:15.860 pathetic how's your
01:38:18.180 outrage on that are you
01:38:19.080 feeling it I am do you
01:38:20.380 get a little bit can I
01:38:21.640 put a little another
01:38:22.440 another shot here on the
01:38:23.960 fire okay here's another
01:38:25.520 one do we have the jingle
01:38:26.360 Sarah addicted to
01:38:27.760 outrage from Andrea
01:38:29.620 Ruth at Red State a
01:38:31.100 Seattle woman is
01:38:31.700 accusing Western
01:38:32.400 Washington's primary
01:38:33.280 energy provider the
01:38:34.500 Puget Sound Energy of
01:38:36.020 intentionally allowing its
01:38:37.220 automated computer
01:38:38.340 generated temporary
01:38:39.460 password system to send a
01:38:41.980 racial slur Erica Conway
01:38:44.720 believes the insult was
01:38:46.060 deliberate and wants the
01:38:47.540 company to get to the
01:38:48.300 bottom of it I clicked
01:38:49.860 forgot password and got
01:38:51.320 temporary password from
01:38:52.840 PSE and it was capital
01:38:54.860 N-I-G-G-A and I was
01:38:58.520 quite shocked it was
01:39:00.580 listen to the reaction it
01:39:02.700 was like an emotional
01:39:04.240 roller coaster shock
01:39:06.580 disbelief disgusted angry
01:39:09.880 and it was just yeah even
01:39:12.160 now I'm just kind of like I
01:39:13.560 can't believe this I just
01:39:15.540 can't believe it Conway is a
01:39:17.780 longtime volunteer of the
01:39:19.160 Seattle chapter of the
01:39:20.280 NAACP she showed us
01:39:22.440 past temporary passcodes
01:39:24.600 that were just random
01:39:26.060 letters and numbers so
01:39:27.480 she believes this passcode
01:39:29.200 slur was created
01:39:30.300 deliberately a temporary
01:39:33.280 password isn't meant to
01:39:34.680 say anything as Conway who
01:39:36.320 is black even states
01:39:37.380 herself these passwords are
01:39:40.260 randomly generated mixtures
01:39:42.140 of letters and numbers a
01:39:44.600 PSE spokesperson Janet Kim
01:39:46.440 said this was offensive there
01:39:48.060 was no question about that
01:39:49.640 again what kind of reaction
01:39:51.220 to that we're talking about
01:39:52.160 it's offensive what are you
01:39:53.560 talking it's a random word
01:39:55.960 generator random letter
01:39:57.500 generator is we check the
01:39:59.320 algorithm is the algorithm
01:40:00.500 racist we apologize to the
01:40:02.500 customer and the community
01:40:05.240 I'm not kidding you by the way
01:40:06.620 that is an actual statement
01:40:08.000 it's in my new book you will
01:40:09.460 not believe when I tell you
01:40:10.520 that story it'll blow your
01:40:11.660 mind the algorithm was racist
01:40:13.740 anyway go ahead the passwords
01:40:15.000 are generated automatically so
01:40:16.400 they go straight to the system
01:40:17.580 to the end customers it is not
01:40:19.060 able to be accessed by an
01:40:20.700 employee
01:40:21.120 are you outraged are you
01:40:25.440 because I'm outraged by that
01:40:26.900 one very no you don't sound
01:40:28.640 it no give me the jingle give
01:40:29.760 me the jingle
01:40:30.180 addicted to outrage
01:40:32.040 transgender and attendees at the
01:40:34.680 pro LGBTQ music festival known
01:40:37.220 as love loud are not happy about
01:40:39.600 the concerts alleged lack of
01:40:41.320 inclusion in the bathroom trans
01:40:45.780 concert goers publicly complained
01:40:47.920 about feeling discriminated
01:40:49.120 against by love loud
01:40:50.400 underscoring their disapproval for
01:40:52.400 the pro gay charity queer meals
01:40:54.640 and will not accept any donations
01:40:56.920 from the festival when I was
01:40:59.640 apparently the concert was created
01:41:02.220 by the Imagine Dragons to by the
01:41:05.020 lead singer Dan Reynolds to support
01:41:07.080 LGBTQ organizations and to affirm
01:41:10.120 youth in Utah no matter their gender
01:41:12.740 identity or sexual orientation when I
01:41:15.760 was confronted I was saying saying I
01:41:18.440 was in the wrong bathroom it kind of
01:41:20.180 threw me off I mean I have a fear
01:41:23.020 every time I go into the bathroom you
01:41:25.900 never know what's going to happen
01:41:27.780 they don't know it's strange because
01:41:32.620 some of these things don't seem like
01:41:34.820 real outrages they don't seem like
01:41:38.000 people are outraged about things they
01:41:40.180 maybe shouldn't be outraged about what
01:41:43.120 no no I don't think so how about
01:41:46.680 Madden 19 editing Colin Kaepernick's
01:41:51.680 name out of the song in the in the
01:41:54.820 game in the video game wait we need
01:41:56.620 the we need the jingle we need to
01:41:59.060 outrage the song Big Bank by YG
01:42:04.440 featuring two chains you know I
01:42:06.940 you're gonna be surprised no I don't
01:42:08.760 no you don't know no you don't you
01:42:10.560 don't have so on hip oh I have all of
01:42:12.460 two chains stuff oh yeah two chains
01:42:14.260 plus Big Sean and Nicki Minaj some of
01:42:16.720 my favorite stuff yeah I'm not really
01:42:18.180 fond of it's one of just several songs
01:42:21.340 on featured on Madden 19 and in the
01:42:24.140 song Big Sean raps the following
01:42:25.980 lyrics feed me to the wolves now I lead
01:42:28.120 the pack and stuff you boys all cap I'm
01:42:33.180 more Colin Kaepernick well now they have
01:42:36.760 edited you boys all cap I'm and it kind
01:42:42.680 of cuts off really is that a real thing
01:42:45.020 yeah it's a real thing yeah oh and
01:42:47.080 they're pissed I mean they want an
01:42:50.080 explanation Colin Kaepernick's
01:42:51.940 girlfriend is all pissed off who is
01:42:55.300 oh no oh no we cannot how why do you
01:42:58.680 know what what who is who is they they
01:43:03.080 are all well Colin Kaepernick's
01:43:05.200 girlfriend okay all right Big Sean is
01:43:09.080 pissed okay Big Sean was in part
01:43:11.760 responsible for the song has has two
01:43:14.360 chains in chains I have not heard from
01:43:16.920 two chains all right what about the
01:43:18.240 first chain the first chain is pissed
01:43:20.940 okay the second chain the second not
01:43:22.760 heard you do not don't first one chain
01:43:25.580 does not speak for both chains no no no
01:43:27.880 that's true it's like the Koch brothers
01:43:30.160 they're two different people guys
01:43:31.400 let's just talk about them as two
01:43:32.720 individuals that's important they don't
01:43:34.460 do the same thing by the way I think
01:43:35.520 there's a third Koch brother and if in
01:43:37.240 case anyone's what a loser that guy
01:43:38.740 must be right right but I mean I like
01:43:41.440 again what are we just talking about
01:43:43.120 taking a standard and apply it equally
01:43:45.480 no matter whether you like the
01:43:46.720 situation or not that is a very weird
01:43:49.820 choice by Madden if they actually did
01:43:51.960 that it is isn't it if you don't like
01:43:53.540 Colin Kaepernick's name in your game
01:43:55.180 just don't pick up that song
01:43:56.460 change another two chain change the song
01:43:58.340 you can pack and list off 12 two chain
01:44:00.520 songs right now that would also fit in
01:44:02.700 your game Glenn could be all over big
01:44:04.840 Sean songs he gives a list off the
01:44:06.300 whole catalog I could do I could I
01:44:09.340 could probably do 25 without even
01:44:11.440 thinking about it right so we could give
01:44:13.340 you the list the point is if you don't
01:44:15.020 want the name in there don't pick that
01:44:16.640 song right and if you're gonna put the
01:44:18.180 song in there don't delete the name it's
01:44:19.860 not a swear they do delete they edit for
01:44:21.860 swears yes in usually in and that's
01:44:24.580 that's what big Sean said they edited
01:44:26.780 like it was a cuss word and so they're
01:44:29.600 wondering why and they they want
01:44:31.220 their demanding answers and fair if
01:44:34.320 that really happened which I have not
01:44:36.100 I don't have it is dumb on the part of
01:44:38.040 EA Sports and Madden but you know it's
01:44:41.460 it's their game they can do that if they
01:44:43.840 want right usually I mean it's
01:44:46.460 interesting usually I would I would say
01:44:48.080 yes though I would be interested to see
01:44:50.220 what the arrangement is with the song
01:44:51.980 right and the people who wrote it you
01:44:53.260 probably don't want to be pissing off
01:44:54.640 the artist whose song you're using like
01:44:56.180 probably not you know they I think an
01:44:57.780 artist would understand you know you
01:44:59.360 edited and they didn't go through
01:45:00.420 them they didn't they didn't talk to
01:45:01.880 their people at all big Sean was left
01:45:04.380 completely out in the dark no and so
01:45:06.040 were two chains and that that's not
01:45:07.880 right of course that's probably the
01:45:08.960 record company has the right that's
01:45:10.320 not right all up in here you know you
01:45:12.460 know what was that all up in here
01:45:14.080 that's that's wrong all up in all up in
01:45:16.460 here in here yeah and in where where
01:45:19.640 exactly is you know what I'm talking
01:45:21.420 about yo know what I'm saying how this
01:45:24.600 is is this this is you this is really
01:45:27.060 all fair Pat you're getting right now
01:45:28.540 yeah that's true because obviously
01:45:29.800 Pat is the way I really speak I have to
01:45:32.000 tone it down you're highly trained
01:45:33.600 broadcaster and people can pick that up
01:45:35.260 when they listen to Pat Gray Unleashed
01:45:36.560 or watch on the blaze but when you're
01:45:38.540 when we're just like we're just hanging
01:45:39.660 out Pat goes very much into the two
01:45:42.320 chains mode it's like you know street
01:45:44.180 play no games what play no games that's
01:45:47.120 that's what he you know he just play no
01:45:48.840 games right which of course is a you
01:45:50.780 know Big Sean song oh you're just
01:45:53.060 quoting you're quoting your favorite
01:45:54.500 artist one man can change the world you
01:45:57.560 know sure well that's Pat that's Pat
01:45:59.660 that is Pat and also a Big Sean song
01:46:02.140 and so both of those are the titles of
01:46:04.760 of Big Sean ID IDW IDFWU which is one
01:46:11.040 of the catchiest titles of great and it's
01:46:13.640 so catchy you're easily going to recall
01:46:15.460 what it stands for so go ahead yeah I
01:46:17.460 give it to us stands for no I can't on
01:46:19.280 the air I can't on the air you can't on
01:46:21.180 the air you can't on the air nope you can
01:46:22.600 give us a hint I can't nope I can't it's
01:46:25.220 look if you're not into Big Sean are you
01:46:27.540 saying it because you think it's like a
01:46:28.580 spoiler alert if you want to listen to
01:46:30.020 the song that's like the big reveal of
01:46:31.840 the song you don't want to ruin it for
01:46:32.960 people I'm gonna let you guess could be
