00:00:33.580 Hello, everybody, and welcome to The Great America Show.

00:00:36.740 Great to have you with us.

00:00:38.380 President Trump back before the Marxist Dem judge Juan Merchant Tuesday, where he sat for a contempt of court hearing.

00:00:46.400 Prosecutors last week filing a nasty motion to hold President Trump in contempt of court for violating Judge Merchant's expanded gag order,

00:00:56.080 which barred President Trump from criticizing Merchant himself and his highly conflicted family members.

00:01:03.600 Merchant said that he's going to wait, though, to rule on whether he's going to be a tough guy with President Trump,

00:01:10.480 asserting that Trump had violated the gag order.

00:01:13.440 It's unclear when he'll actually issue any kind of ruling.

00:01:17.820 Now, I think that's the first smart thing I've seen Merchant do.

00:01:21.280 Trump not having any part of this Marxist judge's violation of his First Amendment rights,

00:01:27.100 tweeting the following while the court was on lunch break.

00:01:31.020 The highly conflicted, to put it mildly, Judge Juan Merchant, the president said,

00:01:35.820 has taken away my constitutional rights to free speech.

00:01:40.020 Everybody's allowed to talk and lie about me, but I'm not allowed to defend myself.

00:01:45.040 This is a kangaroo court, and the judge should recuse himself.

00:01:49.400 Well, there you have it.

00:01:51.040 And the Hamas sympathizers, who've been taking over college campuses, particularly in the Ivy League,

00:01:56.620 pushing their anti-Semitism, their anti-Israeli bull.

00:02:01.720 They continued their demonstrations this week.

00:02:04.040 In New York, they've now taken over two college campuses, NYU and Columbia University.

00:02:10.420 And at Columbia, the president of the school has suddenly decided on,

00:02:16.080 well, there won't be any person in classes for the rest of this semester.

00:02:20.780 In other words, students who want to learn are now paying the price for a university

00:02:25.160 that is openly allowing bigotry, anti-Semitism, anti-Israeli protests on campus.

00:02:33.440 Imagine paying more than $70,000 for your kid to go to an Ivy League school online.

00:02:39.800 President Trump had a few words to say about the ongoing situation.

00:02:44.280 President Trump saying these Hamas demonstrations are all happening

00:02:48.200 because Joe Biden enables them and doesn't even know where he stands on the Hamas-Israeli war.

00:02:56.040 Take a listen to President Trump.

00:02:57.920 When you get out of the road, what's going on at the college level and the colleges,

00:03:02.720 Columbia, NYU and others, is a disgrace.

00:03:07.600 And it's really on Biden.

00:03:09.760 He has the wrong signal.

00:03:10.940 He's got the wrong tone.

00:03:11.960 He's got the wrong words.

00:03:13.020 He doesn't know who he's backing.

00:03:15.160 And it's a mess.

00:03:16.080 And if this were me, he'd be after me.

00:03:20.880 He'd be after me so much.

00:03:22.100 But they're trying to give him a pass.

00:03:23.920 And what's going on is a disgrace to our country.

00:03:27.740 And it's all Biden's fault.

00:03:29.180 And everybody knows that he's got no message.

00:03:31.820 He's got no compassion.

00:03:33.500 He doesn't know what he's doing.

00:03:35.200 He can't put two sentences together, frankly. 0.61

00:03:37.760 He is the worst president in the history of our country. 0.82

00:03:40.680 And, again, what's going on is a disgrace. 0.93

00:03:43.860 Now, it's interesting outside.

00:03:46.040 For great Americans, people that want to come down and they want to protest at the court,

00:03:50.880 and they want to protest peacefully, we have more police presidents here than anyone's ever seen.

00:03:56.080 For blocks, you can't get near this courthouse.

00:03:58.260 And yet you have nobody up in a college where you have very radical people wanting to rip the colleges down, the universities down.

00:04:08.100 And that's a shame.

00:04:09.520 But it all starts with Joe Biden.

00:04:11.300 The signals he puts out are so bad.

00:04:13.520 And I can tell you, he's no friend of Israel, that's for sure.

00:04:17.540 And he's no friend of the Arab world in the world either.

00:04:20.320 You take a look at what he said.

00:04:22.380 He's no friend of it.

00:04:23.840 He doesn't know what to do.

00:04:25.880 He doesn't know what to do.

00:04:27.020 He wants to take like a middle ground.

00:04:28.880 And oftentimes that doesn't work.

00:04:30.560 But it's certainly not working here.

00:04:32.700 But what he's done to Israel is abandon them.

00:04:36.720 And he's trying to be as nice as he can to the other side.

00:04:41.080 Call it the Arab world, but that's not working either because they get him. 1.00

00:04:45.880 And he's an incompetent man. 0.98

00:04:47.800 A peace will never happen with a guy like this. 0.98

00:04:50.480 Thank you very much.

00:04:51.520 And our guest today is author, journalist Naomi Wolf.

00:04:54.980 Naomi has a new book out called Facing the Beast, Courage, Faith, and Resistance in a New Dark Age.

00:05:02.020 We recommend it to you highly, of course.

00:05:04.320 And here now is Naomi Wolf.

00:05:06.260 And the book is Facing the Beast.

00:05:09.400 And I've got to add the subtitle, Courage, Faith, and Resistance in a New Dark Age.

00:05:16.400 I mean, that's a compelling title.

00:05:19.660 I know it's a compelling book.

00:05:21.900 So let's start with this dark age and the beast.

00:05:28.020 Give us what is the beast and how dark is this age?

00:05:33.500 Well, these are fair questions.

00:05:35.480 So the beast has, you know, like any good metaphor, multiple layers of meaning.

00:05:41.960 In the book, the chapter that, you know, from which that title is drawn, it's an actual bear in our yard that really happened.

00:05:52.680 We moved to upstate New York at the start of the pandemic because my husband and I both knew that what we were seeing around us in terms of the closures and the kind of draconian suspensions of civil liberties meant that something very bad geopolitically was happening and about to happen.

00:06:13.200 So in the middle of the woods, one day this bear just showed up and started encircling the house while I was upstairs hiding in the bathroom with a BB gun because I grabbed the wrong gun.

00:06:25.500 I barely know how to shoot a real gun.

00:06:27.280 I'm trying to learn.

00:06:27.900 But the metaphor there is that the bear had gotten more and more comfortable because we had not done anything to deter it.

00:06:35.120 And then finally, we had this monster in our backyard that was trying to break it and, you know, menace me.

00:06:41.000 And this is a metaphor in that essay that stood for how comfortable we've become with the role of China, not seeing it as a threat while China has been waging war on us in the way that it has traditionally waged war, which is not with bullets, not with a visible invasion.

00:06:59.700 But buying up our ports, buying up our water resources, buying up our farmland, institutional corruption, elite capture, regulatory capture.

00:07:09.520 And in that chapter, I'm revealing that my original research found that the mRNA injections, whose devastating effects are a theme of the book because of the work of the 3,250 doctors and scientists that my site oversees and reading through the Pfizer documents released under court order.

00:07:32.900 I found that the IP and the IP and the manufacturing, the distribution was in an MOU with China.

00:07:42.360 So basically, our worst adversaries who want us gone, dead, diminished, vanquished, were manufacturing, distributing this injection that this team of doctors and scientists that Amy Kelly and I, my CEO, oversaw or oversee were finding had caused catastrophic.

00:08:02.900 Tastrophic levels of murder, catastrophic levels of murder, disabling injuries, neurological injuries, strokes, heart attacks, and massive levels of sterilization of the next, you know, making it more difficult for us to kind of replace ourselves in the next generation. 0.66

00:08:18.840 So that also is the beast.

00:08:20.840 And then lastly, the beast is metaphysical in the sense that by the end of the book, I've kind of concluded that the evil that we saw unleashed on the world in 2020, I couldn't explain it in any normal political human history.

00:08:39.980 It was too massive, too coordinated, too impressive, too impeccable, you know, all these leaders saying the same things in lockstep.

00:08:50.140 And so I kind of reluctantly concluded there really was such thing as, you know, these metaphysical dark forces that kind of returned to the earth in my analysis, drawing on someone else's work.

00:09:05.200 And so that's the beast.

00:09:35.180 People who thought they were very tolerant and egalitarian were very happy to allow the ugliest kind of Jim Crow type laws to be reestablished overnight in America. 0.60

00:09:51.020 So that, too, is the beast.

00:09:52.180 Like what they see in the mirror is the worst of human behavior toward other humans.

00:09:59.100 So those are all the beast.

00:10:00.500 They are all the beast, as you say, metaphysical in terms of the expansive symbols that are, you know, that are evoked here.

00:10:14.000 When you talk about you as a longtime liberal, progressive, you know, a lefty, suddenly you're looking at all of your friends, many of them and associates in New York primarily.

00:10:33.840 And you suddenly find out that they're not quite as tolerant as you thought they were.

00:10:42.180 And they're suddenly, and by the way, all of us are discovering we knew that on the right, people who are conservative really didn't like them, but didn't really hate them.

00:10:56.240 I didn't have any desire to run them to ground or even in the sense of Donald Trump.

00:11:05.620 2016, he wins in the rallies.

00:11:07.880 They're chanting, lock her up, referring, of course, to Hillary Clinton.

00:11:10.960 And you can see the president, Blanche, cringe at the very thought.

00:11:17.140 And he decided upon being president not to prosecute her, even though she was clearly guilty of a number of felonies and acts against the interests of the United States.

00:11:28.420 I mean, it would have been entirely rational and some would argue still entirely appropriate.

00:11:34.660 But then to see him as he steps out as this former president, and all of a sudden they've got, they are after blood, they want him imprisoned.

00:11:48.160 And now Benny Thompson, the head of the J6 committee, he wants him killed.

00:11:53.140 He wants to eliminate his Secret Service protection.

00:11:56.660 This is ignorance of a level that I never dreamed we'd see, period.

00:12:01.420 But certainly in this moment, to see this happening, our children, every one of us watching this, there is no such thing as tolerance on the part of the left.

00:12:15.860 Well, that's unfortunately, that's true for the most part.

00:12:18.900 I mean, obviously, you know, people on the left who are rank and file, there are many good people still who are horrified at what the leaders of the left and the leadership of the left and the policies of the left have become.

00:12:36.500 But they're not very vocal, you know, because they're afraid of being canceled.

00:12:39.580 So, I mean, I have a beloved relative and I'm going to go visit her.

00:12:45.540 And I, you know, I was just on some major conservative personality shows and she asked me not to mention that, you know, because she doesn't want to be ousted by her little network of other liberals.

00:13:01.780 And it's like, that's not, that's not the kind of liberals, that's not the liberalism that I was proud of being, you know, that was open-minded and engaged in open debate and free speech and respected that people had differences in opinions.

00:13:17.840 That's a just really totalitarian version of liberalism that's really not liberalism anymore.

00:13:23.820 It's Marxism.

00:13:25.600 It really is.

00:13:26.360 That's not an overstatement.

00:13:28.080 So, yeah, we're in a bad time.

00:13:30.540 That said, you know, as I always say at these moments, Mr. Dobbs, partisanship is never going to save us because look what happened in Congress.

00:13:40.600 You know, both the Republicans and the Democrats in Congress were waving Ukrainian flags treasonously in our sacred civic space after sending billions of our tax dollars to a country that isn't a democracy. 0.98

00:13:58.140 You know, and that, and meanwhile, veterans are waiting six months to get treated for PTSD.

00:14:06.280 I mean, it's not a left versus right corruption right now, although the left is particularly egregious.

00:14:13.140 It really is kind of populist, patriotic nationalists realizing that genocidal maniacs who are elites are really trying to enslave and injure them.

00:14:29.460 And this comes from, this transcends partisanship.

00:14:34.240 We're talking with Naomi Wolf facing the beast as she puts it courage, faith, and resistance at a new dark age.

00:14:43.420 And we're starting to get a sense of just how dark.

00:14:46.900 We'll be right back with Naomi Wolf and facing the beast. 0.94

00:14:52.100 Stay with us.

00:14:52.600 Folks, you know I beg everyone to get ready for the next crisis, and when it comes, our lives will likely change overnight, whether it's natural disaster, war, or another disease.

00:15:05.600 We have to be ready as we can be.

00:15:07.480 We saw what happened in 2020 when we found ourselves dependent on global supply chains.

00:15:12.700 We're still dependent on China and other countries for more than 90% of all our pharmaceuticals.

00:15:17.480 With clusters of respiratory illnesses popping up around the world and here, we need to be prepared.

00:15:24.220 And now is the time to make certain you have what your family needs when the next crisis hits.

00:15:30.100 Our good friends, Dr. Peter McCullough and Dr. Drew Penske over at the Wellness Company have put together just what you and I need with the Wellness Company's medical emergency kit.

00:16:26.120 Be ready tomorrow.

00:16:29.360 We're back with Naomi Wolf and the book is Facing the Beast and Courage, Faith, and Resistance in a New Dark Age.

00:16:37.400 Naomi, I just want to understand, you're no longer a liberal.

00:16:43.240 You're not, you still want to hold on to some of the, it seems to me, this is my analysis from afar.

00:16:52.520 You still want to hang on to some elements of being what a, being a liberal meant some years ago.

00:17:00.340 None of that is left.

00:17:02.700 There is none of that.

00:17:04.220 You referred to it.

00:17:05.260 There's a totalitarian streak now on the left, whether it be Barack Obama.

00:17:10.680 No president had ever, ever gone after journalists the way his administration did.

00:17:16.900 No administration had ever dealt directly and legitimized Iran as he did.

00:17:22.320 And has, he's institutionalized that legitimacy that he sought.

00:17:28.320 And this president, Biden, has just completely embraced it without knowing anything about what to do when suddenly missiles and rockets and drones are flying toward their targets in Israel.

00:17:45.540 Yeah.

00:17:45.680 This is a new time and it is much darker, isn't it?

00:17:49.480 It is.

00:17:50.340 I mean, this issue of who suppresses liberty.

00:17:57.040 I mean, first of all, I just want to say for the record, I do still think of myself as a liberal, but, but I'm one of like three people left on the planet who are classical 19th century liberals.

00:18:06.640 Because in that time it meant, you know, as I said, civil rights, equal rights, rule of law, First Amendment, freedom of speech, you know.

00:18:18.420 So I do want to cling to that label.

00:18:22.060 But I am an independent.

00:18:23.520 I did walk away from the Democrats, just like I haven't embraced the Republicans.

00:18:27.740 But, you know, this may be annoying, Mr. Dobbs, but I will always at a moment like this say, yes, Obama was a catastrophe in terms of civil liberties.

00:18:38.120 I was one of the few journalists, maybe the only American journalist I know, to go to Guantanamo six months into his administration.

00:18:45.680 He had promised, as a campaign promised, to close Guantanamo.

00:18:49.300 And when I was there, they were building it up massively, building it up.

00:18:52.640 He had no intention of closing it.

00:18:54.300 He was the guy who droned American citizens. 0.88

00:18:57.200 He was the first president with a kill list.

00:18:59.540 I could go on and on.

00:19:00.480 And I remember how frustrating it was that even at that time, liberals didn't want to hear my warnings about that because he was our guy.

00:19:07.660 Right. And liberals do have this blind spot that we're good people, so we can't ever do anything that's bad.

00:19:15.960 Right. And there's Barack Obama with a kill list.

00:19:18.960 And, you know, a wish to it was under his administration that the National Defense Authorization Act was extended that allowed the president to keep journalists or anyone without charge of trial indefinitely, which most Americans don't know.

00:19:35.700 But who set the stage for that was George Bush Jr.

00:19:39.480 And in the wake of 9-11 and, you know, with the launch of the Global War on Terror, that's when the surveillance state really got firmly established.

00:19:50.540 That's when people began to be detained, you know, unduly, without due process.

00:19:57.680 That's when there were people who are critics of the administration were called subversives or extremists.

00:20:07.180 I mean, no one's pure in this.

00:20:11.560 We've really got to understand whatever our views are, that it's a party's not going to save us.

00:20:18.220 We have to save ourselves. And our founders knew that. Right.

00:20:21.020 They they set it up so that it is it is we who are supposed to impeach, get rid of, prosecute our leaders when they stop stop defending our liberties.

00:20:31.760 That's that's that's that's in our founding documents.

00:20:34.660 So I just I want to agree with you that Obama was a nightmare.

00:20:38.980 But I will always annoyingly point out that it's it's, you know, history shows that totalitarians on the left and fascists on the right take the same steps to suppress liberties.

00:20:51.980 And well, you can't. Yeah.

00:20:53.840 If you give them a chance, they'll do it.

00:20:55.680 Well, honestly, you can't offend me or worry about whether or not I would resent you bringing up George Bush, because I was blackballed over my career by two White Houses, one and all of them from 2000 to 2000.

00:21:11.740 And the two presidents of the 2000 decade.

00:21:15.720 And that was George Bush, blackballed me, because I insisted that that he named the enemy radical Islamist rather than terror.

00:21:24.160 And and Barack Obama, because I I insisted on actually securing our borders, actually maintaining a lawful immigration regime and insisting that we call them what they are.

00:21:40.420 Legally, the term is illegal alien and a few other offenses against the the administration.

00:21:47.580 How prescient, how prescient both those positions seem now.

00:21:51.600 Well, you know, I you know, it seemed obvious, frankly, to me at the time.

00:21:56.240 And and I think it did to many people who didn't speak out on the issue.

00:22:00.720 But the reality is that there's no we've been dealing with a deep state for a very long time.

00:22:08.220 The Patriot Act that you refer to with George Bush's administration.

00:22:13.340 I mean, that is the foundation of the surveillance state that we have today.

00:22:17.120 But its antecedents are long ago.

00:22:21.420 You couldn't even begin to think that the Pentagon Papers would be released by The Times or The Post if indeed they had the strictures that we do now.

00:22:31.700 And that should sober everyone up quickly.

00:22:35.520 But this goes back many decades.

00:22:37.420 And people don't want to admit that our government lied to them from the 50s on, particularly the CIA, about what was Vietnam and that sad, tragic course that it followed. 0.90

00:22:50.320 But it was pure deceit on the part of the government.

00:22:53.740 Deceit that I think is still well in place and invigorated.

00:22:57.520 Your thoughts.

00:22:58.400 I mean, sadly, I agree with you.

00:23:00.740 I actually thought you were going to go back to I was braced for it that you were going to go back to President Lincoln in suspending habeas corpus during the Civil War.

00:23:10.180 And, you know, then fast forward, most people, it's been so erased from history.

00:23:15.940 Most people don't know.

00:23:17.020 I didn't know until I was, you know, well past what I should have learned about it, that there was a coup attempt in the in the in the 40s, I believe, by a group of very respected American businessmen who admired what was going on.

00:23:35.120 Perhaps it was the 30s. I may have my decade wrong, but Smedley Butler exposed it and they admired Mussolini.

00:23:42.360 They admired Hitler. They thought that was all great. 0.99

00:23:44.620 And they wanted to see something similar in the United States.

00:23:46.980 So I totally agree with you.

00:23:50.460 You know, I think we're in a time and it relates to themes in the book when the scales are really falling from our eyes.

00:23:56.120 And, you know, I miss the pre 2020 time when I believed that even though there were some bad apples, most journalists were trying to tell the truth.

00:24:06.440 Right. The Washington Post and the New York Times were trying to do a first a reasonable first draft of history.

00:24:12.360 I believe that, you know, sure, there was corruption, but most of our institutions were solid.

00:24:18.140 Our hospitals wouldn't try to murder people. 0.82

00:24:20.500 Our schools wouldn't be abusing children.

00:24:22.400 And then all of that got inverted in 2020 and, you know, to the present.

00:24:27.900 And I really do think we're in a time this relates to the metaphysical nature of the time we're in, where literally all around us, history we thought we knew turns out to be a sham.

00:24:39.040 Right. We see the erasure of history happening before our eyes right now and the reinscribing of new false histories, you know, happening in real time.

00:24:47.660 And we see that we can't trust the science. We can't trust our doctors. We can't trust our hospitals.

00:24:54.580 We can't trust the schools wanted to suffocate our children and keep them from learning language and, you know, remotely educate them because they've been bribed, you know, on and on and on.

00:25:03.540 The corruption is endless. So, yeah, it's not new.

00:25:06.660 But I do think we're we're seeing the depth of it in a uniquely transparent way right now for reasons I can't explain in normal terms.

00:25:19.220 We are a nation now in great duress, distress.

00:25:25.180 Yes. We are a nation that is at a historical point.

00:25:32.100 You know, the easy statement is it's an inflection point.

00:25:35.120 We don't know what this is.

00:25:37.260 But we do know that we've been destabilized as a society and a nation to such an extent that Barack Obama can, with his his Marxist friends, brag about achieving what he intended.

00:25:52.220 And that was, as he announced, the fundamental transformation of America.

00:25:56.680 We just have to be sure that we can find some constraint against how far that that transformation goes, fundamental or otherwise.
