00:01:14.940 Hello, everybody. I'm Lou Dobbs and welcome to The Great America Show. Thank you for being
00:01:22.820 with us. A glimmer, a glimmer of justice emanating from the Department of Justice this week.
00:01:29.680 And that's big news because it very seldom happens. First, the former FBI counterintelligence chief
00:01:37.260 who was investigating, that is, instigating in some ways, the Trump-Russia collusion hoax,
00:01:44.140 was sentenced on Friday to over four years for actually doing what the Marxist Dems were
00:01:51.260 accusing President Trump of. This is incredible. He was colluding with Russian oligarchs. Charles
00:01:58.020 McGonigal was once the special agent in charge of the FBI's counterintelligence division in New York
00:02:05.000 City. He was found guilty in August of conspiring to violate the International Emergency Economic
00:02:10.640 Powers Act and committing money laundering with a U.S.-sanctioned Russian oligarch. All the while,
00:02:18.020 he was part of the conspiracy to frame President Trump for Russian collusion.
00:02:24.780 The second act of justice out of the DOJ also came Friday, when crooked assistant U.S. attorney
00:02:31.200 Leslie Wolf resigned her post from the Biden DOJ. Who is Leslie Wolf? She's the one who blocks search
00:02:38.920 warrants and felony charges for the Biden crime family. We knew about all of this in July when
00:02:45.540 IRS special agents Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler testified before the House Oversight Committee
00:02:52.740 as whistleblowers. Because did assistant U.S. attorney Leslie Wolf, what did she do when she learned
00:02:58.760 that you wanted to execute the search warrant on the storage unit? So she actually first approved and
00:03:04.760 was saying that it's going to take approvals for us to get this done, but then came back a few days later
00:03:10.360 and said, no, we're not going to move forward with this. And I was the one who proposed, well, let's just
00:03:16.820 wait 30 days. We'll get the approvals. We will make sure that the storage unit is not accessed. And then we
00:03:23.240 can move forward with the warrant. Her response was, I'm going to think about it. And then we come to find
00:03:28.640 out a few days later that they had let defense counsel know that we know about the storage unit.
00:03:34.620 Okay, so that's key. So a U.S. attorney tipped off the lawyers of a person who was the subject of a
00:03:38.080 years-long criminal felony investigation. Is that what you're saying? Did Leslie Wolf tip off Hunter
00:03:44.420 Biden's lawyers? Regarding the storage unit, that you guys had interest in the storage unit? Because once
00:03:49.080 you know that, if you're the subject of a criminal investigation, any of those documents that can
00:03:53.020 incriminate you are probably going to meet a match and some gasoline. So that's astounding to me that
00:03:57.960 that is direct evidence, clearly of preferential treatment, and that is not normal stuff. Is that
00:04:02.680 normal? So I can tell you that that was actually my kind of red line situation, a little bit different
00:04:09.220 than how Shapley refers to it, but I didn't think we had a seat at the table. It was just, it disappointed
00:04:15.740 me so badly, but I knew this was something that we were up against and that it was like, okay,
00:04:20.820 that's what they decided to do. Have you, either of you ever seen anything like that before in your decades
00:04:26.180 of experience? And gentlemen, Tom's excited, but please feel free to answer the question.
00:04:31.240 No, I have not. I have not either. It's too early to call this a house cleaning, but at least two corrupt
00:04:38.420 actors are out of the picture, at least for now. It looks like the country can't wait for President
00:04:43.980 Trump to return to the White House. The prospect has the Marxist dims and deep staters apoplectic.
00:04:49.840 You would think they were in advanced stages of Trump derangement syndrome.
00:04:55.180 Miles Taylor, a former DHS employee, is terrified of the potential return of President Trump.
00:05:01.220 He says if President Trump returns to the White House, he may shut off all Americans' internet.
00:05:07.560 I think Americans still don't understand the full extent of the president's powers and things Donald
00:05:13.340 Trump could do, bubble wrapped in legalese, that would be damaging to the republic. And one of those
00:05:18.700 that I've noted is there's something in the White House called the Doomsday Book. And for the first
00:05:23.120 time, DHS gave authorization for me to mention this publicly. And the fact that there are concerns that
00:05:29.300 that book, which is supposed to be used to protect the country in instances of armed foreign invasion
00:05:34.780 or rebellion, it's the president's most extraordinary powers, could be picked up by Trump and used for
00:05:41.220 domestic political purposes. He could invoke powers we've never heard a president of the United States
00:05:46.320 in vote, potentially to shut down companies or turn off the internet or deploy the U.S. military
00:05:51.740 on U.S. soil.
00:05:53.660 Now there's a clear and present danger for you. Unbelievable. And we hadn't heard that one before.
00:05:59.720 Our guest today is Jim Hoff, founder of the Gateway Pundit and a great American. And it is great to have
00:06:04.920 you with us, Jim. A headline in the Gateway Pundit, Trump prosecutor Jack Smith's alleged role in
00:06:11.480 extortion scheme while at the International Court of Justice revealed. An amazing headline and an
00:06:18.320 amazing story. Jim, give us your sense of what's going on here.
00:06:22.820 Sure, Lou. So this was posted by one of our contributors, Larry Johnson, and he's worked with
00:06:30.160 this, his partner, business partner, John Moynihan for several years. They broke a lot of reports over
00:06:37.640 over the years. And Moynihan is an investigator, and he investigates corruption on Capitol Hill.
00:06:44.980 He actually did an excellent report on the Clintons and the Clinton Foundation a few years ago,
00:06:50.960 dug deep into it, and unfortunately, Congress didn't do anything with the findings. So I'm not sure
00:06:56.800 where that case is in particular. But he did some digging around Jack Smith. And as you know, Lou,
00:07:04.380 Jack Smith, I call him the hit man, because he was hired to take out Governor Bob McDonnell
00:07:11.440 several years ago, very popular governor from Virginia, who had aspirations for higher office,
00:07:18.600 and very popular with the people. And here comes Jack Smith. And he charged him with all of these
00:07:25.520 different fraud charges that he said McDonnell committed. McDonnell ended up resigning, as you
00:07:32.820 remember. The case did go to the Supreme Court, and Jack Smith lost eight to nothing in a Supreme
00:07:39.620 Court, because there was nothing there. And I'm convinced his job was to get McDonnell out of the
00:07:45.780 way. And I think that we're seeing that with Donald Trump now. This is, to me, I believe Jack Smith is
00:07:53.440 like the hit man they hire. It doesn't matter if they win or lose the case, they just want Trump
00:07:58.660 gone. And I think that's, from his actions, we've seen, we have proof of that, I think. You know,
00:08:04.120 there's not even a crime there with Trump, but they're trying to make a crime out of whatever it
00:08:10.080 is, but they just want Trump out of the way. So anyway, Moynihan did some research on Smith,
00:08:16.660 who was over in Europe, as you said, working over there. And they find out that now he has
00:08:24.180 a role in this extortion scheme. We put this up, it went viral on our site.
00:08:34.040 And the details are at the Gateway Pundit. It includes affidavits from four people with ties
00:08:39.740 to Kosovo. And I'm not going to pretend to pronounce their names correctly, but four
00:08:47.720 different individuals and sworn testimony by this Halleck Sahijas, anyway, who provides
00:08:58.220 a comprehensive account of Jack Smith's actions at the International Court of Justice and raises
00:09:05.900 serious questions about the integrity of the court and this corruption scheme.
00:09:12.440 So it is. And as you say, I mean, it is, I just want everybody to know about this story,
00:09:19.080 because I think it's one that, if I may recommend it to everybody to read, as Jim says, on the Gateway
00:09:26.480 Pundit. It really is. And it is a fascinating story. And this story, what I find interesting,
00:09:34.360 this all came out on, let's see if I can get the date right, the complaint by Moynihan,
00:09:41.320 he is, was delivered on November 28. That was exactly 13 days before
00:09:50.240 Jack Smith decides to bypass the appellate court and go to the Supreme Court with the effort,
00:10:01.240 his effort suddenly to decide whether or not President Trump, any president, in fact,
00:10:06.980 he has immunity for alleged crimes that occurred during his presidency. I think it's interesting
00:10:15.880 that he only got concerned about it at this relatively late date, don't you?
00:10:20.800 Right, right. It's very interesting. And one of the charges that were brought up in our report was
00:10:26.900 that Smith was working with one of these individuals, and they were working to find
00:10:33.160 Russian oligarchs who are on the U.S. sanction list so they could lift them off, offer them assistance
00:10:38.360 so that they could be lifted off this sanction list. Of course, that involves a lot of money. So
00:10:43.060 this is what one of the accusations against Smith in this, in this entire piece. But it goes much
00:10:51.400 deeper than that. And anyway, maybe Jack Smith has something coming that, you know, that would be
00:10:58.780 refreshing if one of these, these guys actually got caught.
00:11:02.260 Well, it is. And at any rate, it's, it's a fascinating story, whether he's personally benefiting
00:11:10.000 from the money that was sloshing around, or whether, you know, it's just simply his role here
00:11:18.180 is highly, I'll put it this way, unorthodox, and what he put into motion. So it's going to be
00:11:24.440 interesting. And again, I recommend everybody go to the Gateway Pundit to read the story. It is indeed
00:11:29.840 fascinating. And just as another peak in inside the, I guess I would call it the Jack Smith
00:11:38.240 hit, hit, hit man reputation, and how he earned it over time. I want to turn to this, according to
00:11:49.240 the, the, the latest here, the Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, inserted the 702 extension
00:11:59.920 to April on his own, without any collaboration with, you know, people like, say, the, the Armed
00:12:09.060 Services Committee of Appropriations, anyone that had been working on funding the Defense
00:12:15.660 Department, he just slipped it in, even though he had made it clear to many people, apparently,
00:12:21.000 that he would not do such a thing on a must pass bill like NDAA. Your thoughts about how Mike Johnson
00:12:28.000 is doing? And what is he doing?
00:12:30.860 Yeah, so what happened this morning, Lou, in Congress was, and this is their last day before
00:12:34.980 they go on vacation. So, you know, January. So there are several Republicans who wanted to
00:12:41.740 make changes to the FISA rules. And we know through FISA, the last administration, two
00:12:50.280 ministrations ago, the Biden administration was able to spy on President Trump when he was a
00:12:55.180 candidate, later as a president. It was all, it was all abusing the FISA system. It was all based
00:13:01.600 on lies. We know that. And of course, no one is punished whenever this happens, when it's against
00:13:07.300 Trump. But so there was a lot of Republicans who want to make changes. And like you said,
00:13:13.200 Mike Johnson pushed it out till April, if there's going to be any votes on the changes. So today,
00:13:18.260 just a little bit ago, they voted to renew the FISA laws. And 147 Republicans joined the vote,
00:13:26.520 Lou. So it did pass. And so we have 147 Republicans who think this is just fine. And I certainly don't.
00:13:35.900 And I don't think most Americans who paid any attention to what they did to Donald Trump
00:13:40.400 would think that this was anything that was fair. And it certainly has no place in America.
00:13:47.860 We're talking with Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit about why any Republican, any American would reauthorize
00:13:55.420 the FBI, the corrupt Department of Justice, and the intelligence community to give them power
00:14:02.280 and authority to continue spying on Americans and our Congress and our Senate and God knows who else.
00:14:09.960 We'll be right back. Stay with us.
00:14:16.900 We're back now with Jim Hoft. And I want to say, Jim, I just cannot understand
00:14:21.360 how gutless the Republican Party has become. I cannot understand how after they know they were
00:14:29.200 spied upon, not just the Congress, but the House Intelligence Committee, the Senate Intelligence
00:14:35.200 Committee over the course of time, they know what's happening. And it makes anyone suspicious
00:14:43.800 if they were to do that. What do they have on those congressmen, those senators who are so eager
00:14:51.120 to violate the civil rights of every single American?
00:14:54.320 Yeah, that's a great question. What do they have? Maybe some of these rumors we heard from
00:14:59.420 different individuals like George Santos and the former congressman from North Carolina,
00:15:07.460 the young man. Maybe some of those rumors are true, but I don't know how they can just go ahead
00:15:13.620 and go along with this. Certainly their voters don't approve of this. Matthew Cawthorne is the name
00:15:19.600 I was looking for, the former congressman. I think a lot of people are upset about this because
00:15:27.700 what we did see with Trump, and we went through those hellish years where they put the president
00:15:33.800 through this complete abuse, an illegal abuse. They abused the system to spy on Trump, his family.
00:15:44.180 They spied on the investigators who were looking into this from the House, Devin Nunes and his
00:15:51.400 assistant, Cash Patel, at the time. So it's been abused over and over and over again.
00:15:57.560 And I just have no idea how they think that this is a wise move, because what has happened,
00:16:03.840 though, is it continues to be turned against Republicans. And so why would Republicans vote
00:16:09.240 for something that's going to be used against them and their staff and their friends? I don't
00:16:13.600 understand. I don't either. And I don't know how anyone could possibly explain it other than there
00:16:19.800 has to be some something going on here, because this is inexplicable on its on its face. They know
00:16:28.300 that Republicans, they talk about a which I hate the term two tier justice system, that there's one
00:16:35.520 one tier for Republicans and one for Democrats. We're watching that in action, of course, with
00:16:40.900 Hunter Biden. But then to just simply say, well, that's OK, FBI, Department of Justice, go ahead,
00:16:47.580 bring another sledgehammer over and swing away at us. I mean, it is really irrational. And therefore,
00:16:54.120 I know that there is something behind it. There is some force at work that explains this irrationality
00:17:01.620 and acting against their own interest and the interest of the American people. I want to I want
00:17:09.420 to talk to you about also the prospect. It looks like with this new trial, three, three defendants,
00:17:18.480 January, January six defendants will be represented by one of those because the Supreme Court is going to
00:17:26.240 hear whether or not this section that they use for what do they call it obstructing a government
00:17:38.260 process is going to be ballot. And it looks like they think there are early indications the Supreme
00:17:46.680 Court is against it. That means a few hundred Americans are going to be better off and the president
00:17:53.360 as well, because half of the January six charges against him are that interfering with a with a
00:17:59.420 government process. Your thoughts? Oh, I think this is great news. I think they pulled this this 1512
00:18:07.520 2C rule and started throwing it at these Trump supporters after January six. It's tragic that this
00:18:16.540 happened. And it's just abusive. It's landed a lot of these people in jail for a lot of extra time than they
00:18:25.040 should have been. You know, we see we see how two tiered system. Maybe it's just tyranny is what we're
00:18:30.720 watching. But the Republicans go to jail for several years. The Democrats who who disrupt Congress and
00:18:37.600 disrupt hearings. They're out within a couple hours. And we've seen that just recently, you know, with the Hamas protests and the
00:18:45.540 pro-Palestinian protests in Congress. This this is this is good news because they threw this rule based on, you know, it goes back
00:18:55.540 before the 20th century. They they they pulled it out and shook it off. And they're going to start charging these people with this
00:19:04.820 crime for disrupting the the proceedings that today. Several of these people were arrested or didn't even get to the Capitol till after they had
00:19:15.440 already disbanded Congress. And we do know I saw a sad tweet today. This Matthew Perna, he was a man who was at January 6th, never been arrested in his life, never been in trouble with the law.
00:19:30.440 And he went inside the Capitol and they and he was charged with some crimes. He paid his dues. Then they came back and said, we're going to charge you with this extra crime, this 1512. And his aunt today tweeted out that that was when he took his life because he just you know, he just couldn't take this abuse that was never ending from this government against, you know, these Trump supporters. And so a friend of mine, and I think you've spoken with him, Jake
00:19:58.440 Jake Lane, who was a January 6th. He he filed this along with two others. And it looks like the Supreme Court is going to take this and look at it. And I think it it should obviously never have been used. But we will see. I think, though, it's it's really good news for some of these people who've been persecuted.
00:20:19.440 I don't know how they get their lives back. I don't know how they get that time that they've spent in prison already. But I do hope that they correct this because it is complete lawlessness by the Department of Justice to use this against Trump supporters.
00:20:32.440 You mentioned Jake Lane, all the hundreds of Americans that who've been become prisoners of the Marxist Dems in this country. I, I still to this day cannot imagine how it is that we got to this point, where the judges of the D.C. circuit and district, the judges, appellate judges, all of them, so, so many of them,
00:21:01.440 so many of them are obviously so politically motivated, ideologically motivated. This is not a Republican Democrat thing. This is a Marxist Dem America thing. And they mean to destroy the lives of these people. This is not an accident.
00:21:18.980 The prosecutors from the DOJ over, overcharging these poor people, these poor Americans, the judges over sentencing them. It's an outrage. And we'll take that up as we continue. We're talking with Jim Hoff, the Gateway Pundit. Stay with us.
00:21:36.080 We're back now with Jim Hoff, and I want to say that the president has a lot going for him right now. Suddenly, the wind looks to be at his back in terms of what has happened with moving to the Supreme Court with Tanya Chutkin, the D.C.
00:21:57.580 district court judge who had to pause her trial that she wanted to ramrod through because of the appeal by Jack Smith. We've got a unanimous Republican vote on the impeachment inquiry of Joe Biden.
00:22:10.920 But then there are things that cause us great concern, Jim. We see a picture of Paul Ryan exiting the office of what is now the Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson.
00:22:25.660 That is one of the most disturbing pictures that I have seen recently. It's just incredible. If all the people he could get advice from, he goes to this pretend policy walk on the budget. It's just stunning to me. Your reaction?
00:22:46.680 Yeah, I think seeing Paul Ryan leave the Speaker's office is almost as scary as seeing Zelensky leave his office, President Zelensky. You know that we're going to lose either way.
00:22:59.320 Yeah. But Paul Ryan, now that was a stunner. I had no idea that they were communicating, let alone having these little private wrap sessions. So that, of course, it's very concerning.
00:23:12.740 And then we know that our friend Paul Ryan came out immediately after these talks, and he's bashing Trump again. You know, he just can't help himself. He's got that, you know, Trump derangement syndrome, and it's stuck on his brain, and he's calling Trump an authoritarian and all of this nonsense. So, yeah, very concerning, Lou.
00:23:37.460 And the Gateway Pundit giving it your usual thorough coverage and prominence, because that's what it deserves. It is to see this interaction between Mike Johnson, all the people that he's got in that conference, in the Republican conference that he could go to, the outside sources that he could go to, resources.
00:24:03.600 And to choose Paul Ryan, who is, by the way, I want to remind everybody, he is, among other things, on the Fox board. He's also with some advisory firms, as they're called, in Washington, D.C. He's bringing in lobbyist money and, quote unquote, consultant money by the bucket.
00:24:24.680 This is a guy who's turned his career of mediocrity into a gold rush. And then he has the outrageous temerity to attack President Trump again. He shouldn't even be permitted to say Trump's name. He's unworthy of speaking Trump's name.
00:24:46.620 And to suggest he hasn't. I mean, he's really off the rails here.
00:24:51.180 Oh, yeah, absolutely. And what happened to him going back to Wisconsin? Did that ever cross his mind after all those years in Congress? Heck no. He's stuck around. He's in D.C. or New York.
00:25:03.600 You know, he's making the big bucks now and lecturing all of us about Trump. The narcissist authoritarian Donald Trump. You know, I was hoping we would have heard the last of Paul Ryan after he left office.
00:25:20.140 But unfortunately, that's not the case with several of these individuals. So here he is out again. And, you know, he's not just attacking Trump, but then he's praising Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. It's like, what is going on?
00:25:37.540 Can you believe he would try to put them in the Congressional Hall of Fame because they went off the rails? And it's just this guy is obsessive about it. He's got some. You called it the Trump derangement syndrome. There is, without question, I think he's getting paid for, by the way, what he's saying.
00:26:02.960 It's my guess that he is the mouthpiece for some people who have some other candidates. But that's just my skeptical, journalistic nature. I just can't imagine why he would suddenly sit down with Taneo and have an interview. I can't imagine why Taneo would care. Oh, wait a minute. They're part of the cycle in D.C. They're all part of the swamp. And it gives them a, you know, a talking point for the day.
00:26:30.780 So I'd like to get your sense, if you will. We also saw that absolute unanimous vote by the Republican Party on the impeachment inquiry. That suggests to me that some that we have now a real prospect to see justice serve.
00:26:51.240 And for this Republican conference to get its balance and to and for Mike Johnson, I hope will wake the hell up, if I may put it that way.
00:27:02.680 I think this was great news. We've been waiting for it since they were sworn in and took the gavel back last January.
00:27:09.980 I think Democrats would have already had this thing, this process done and over with by now.
00:27:15.160 But at least they they had they took the vote. They passed the vote. It was unanimous.
00:27:20.080 So I give Mike Johnson credit for that. That was a nice Christmas present before they go off for another month.
00:27:26.680 So we'll see. You know, when Kevin McCarthy was there, I thought the chances of Joe Biden being impeached was about zero percent.
00:27:34.860 But maybe we have maybe we have the odds have gone up under Mike Johnson.
00:27:40.660 So hopefully justice will be served for for the first time in a long time.
00:27:47.200 We know that what the Bidens have done, we followed that for years.
00:27:51.500 You followed it for years with Burisma and Ukraine and and the Hunter laptop that was hidden.
00:27:57.900 And which was full of truth and full of emails that explicitly discussed their deals, him and his dad.
00:28:06.320 And then we know that Joe Biden has all these anonymous accounts, email accounts and all the, you know, business he was conducting with these accounts.
00:28:16.340 Hundreds of emails flying back and forth.
00:28:19.200 So maybe finally these people will be caught. I think that would be very refreshing.
00:28:24.140 I think the American people, you know, and I wonder if that explains, too, why they've gone after Trump so hard with these junk charges one after another.
00:28:35.560 Maybe they knew what was what was coming.
00:28:37.640 But we will see. And hopefully 2024 will be a better year.
00:28:42.880 And I think what you're intimating is absolutely right.
00:28:45.640 I think that a good part of the the assault, what has been now an eight year persecution of Donald Trump, in large measure, was motivated by the deep state and the Marxist Dems and the Biden regime and the Obama.
00:29:02.500 What would you call it?
00:29:03.680 The cabal trying to protect themselves, because when it came out early that they had tried to frame the president of the United States.
00:29:11.780 They have to they almost had to do it to this degree.
00:29:17.760 I never dreamed it would be possible.
00:29:20.340 And and I'd like to get your thoughts here as we conclude.
00:29:24.180 What did you think of Hunter Biden's performance on the grounds of the Capitol as he tried to play the part of both victim, heroic defender of his father and and and and a critic, if you will, of the House of Representatives and the Constitution that gives them the power to investigate?
00:29:47.540 Well, I think we know now that Hunter Biden is not just an accomplished artist, but he's an accomplished actor.
00:29:56.020 And that's what we saw yesterday.
00:29:58.640 It's it was just such nonsense.
00:30:01.260 This person, their whole family, I mean, the Biden crime family, they got everyone involved.
00:30:06.200 They even have women who have left the family through divorce are still getting paid.
00:30:11.580 I mean, that's quite a quite a crime family.
00:30:14.520 So, you know, we will see how this goes if I think it'd be nice if he got the Peter Navarro treatment, gets arrested the next time he tries to take a plane and they put him in handcuffs and bring him and sit in jail for for overnight.
00:30:31.100 I'm sure it won't be his first time in jail.
00:30:33.880 We documented that Hunter Biden was arrested as a teen with drugs.
00:30:37.860 And I think that drug career went on for several, several decades.
00:30:42.060 So I'm sure that's not his first time in jail.
00:30:44.280 But I hope that he gets what's due.
00:30:46.900 Yeah, I hope that he gets the same treatment that they have handed out, as you as you point out.
00:30:52.540 You know, I just as we sit here thinking about it, I find myself thinking what took so long.
00:31:00.160 But on the other hand, being so grateful that it looks like now there is momentum behind the Republican effort to hold them accountable.
00:31:07.740 Jim Hoft, as always, great to have you with us.
