00:00:00.180 Hello everybody, I'm Lou Dobbs. This is The Great America Show. Welcome and great to have you with us as always.
00:00:07.600 Today I want to take up a situation that's giving a lot of people, including me, considerable pause,
00:00:14.100 considerable cause to just sit down and think, trying to figure out what in the world is going on in our lives here in America,
00:00:22.480 in our workaday lives, our home life, our life as a nation.
00:00:26.320 We all find ourselves suddenly living in an age that's taken nearly all of us by surprise.
00:00:32.820 I say nearly all because there may be some folks smart enough, intuitive enough,
00:00:38.080 to have had foreknowledge of what would be unfolding in this country years ago.
00:00:43.060 I say some, I can't believe there'd be more than a few, who could have imagined what we're going through in our country right now.
00:00:50.280 I'll admit I never thought much of what has become almost commonplace would ever be part of our lives as Americans,
00:00:57.520 not in America, not in our country.
00:01:00.800 If indeed it is still our country, there is increasing reason to doubt that.
00:01:06.480 So much is amiss, so much is outright, flagrantly wrong,
00:01:10.340 and I fear even more that absolute evil is present almost every which way we turn.
00:01:16.880 And that can't be.
00:01:18.620 It just can't be here in America, except that it is.
00:01:23.320 And right now.
00:01:24.780 A little over a month from the midterm elections now, and madness is spreading faster than ever.
00:01:30.900 The Marxist Dems tell us Donald Trump is to blame for the Republicans' poor showing in the election.
00:01:36.340 They say candidates weren't good enough, but they can't explain the appeal of a John Fetterman or, say, Joe Biden.
00:01:45.300 Speaking of Joe Biden, he decided to leave another Marine behind.
00:01:49.640 He traded a Russian arms dealer named Victor Bout for a WNBA player by the name of Brittany Griner,
00:01:57.080 who was held by the Russians for 10 months.
00:02:00.520 Biden chose to not trade for a former Marine by the name of Paul Whelan,
00:02:04.920 who's been held in Russia for four years this month.
00:02:09.220 Biden chose to wait till after the election to leave him behind.
00:02:13.640 That in and of itself is sad.
00:02:16.600 Biden gave up one of Putin's favorites and most helpful merchants of death for Griner.
00:02:22.660 That's all.
00:02:24.100 Just Griner.
00:02:26.000 Madness.
00:02:26.880 The great state of Texas is doing their best to mitigate the madness of this Biden regime.
00:02:32.200 They live with a large estate border with Mexico, and they're doing their best to defend that border
00:02:38.240 and minimize the damage as a result of Biden's open border on illegal immigration.
00:02:45.440 For example, insisting that dangerous criminal illegals be deported first, which the Biden regime won't do.
00:02:53.000 Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's office is supporting the plaintiffs before the Supreme Court
00:02:59.040 to order the Biden Department of Homeland Security to prioritize those criminal illegals for deportation,
00:03:07.380 as the federal law requires.
00:03:10.260 But that isn't enough in this upside-down world of Joe Biden's making.
00:03:15.560 Our guest today is the Attorney General of the great state of Texas, Ken Paxton.
00:03:20.320 Mr. Attorney General, great to have you here.
00:03:23.580 And let's begin with your efforts to have the Supreme Court demand that the Biden regime obey the law
00:03:30.100 when it comes to deporting dangerous criminal illegal immigrants.
00:03:35.320 Well, so it's kind of shocking to think.
00:03:37.500 I mean, we're already in this position of them ignoring, not just ignoring,
00:03:41.360 but really running roughshod over federal law that requires them to deport people here who are illegal.
00:03:46.840 The reason they're illegal is that the law says they're not supposed to be here.
00:03:50.160 The Biden administration says, to heck with the law, we're in power and we're not following laws.
00:03:56.020 And so that's literally what we deal with every day.
00:03:58.260 We, you know, stop building the wall, which money was appropriated to build, and they're supposed to build the wall.
00:04:03.480 They stopped catching relief, and now everything is catching relief.
00:04:07.700 They're trying to stop Title 42, which protects us from people that are sick coming into our country.
00:04:12.060 They've stopped the Remain in Mexico program, which was designed to stop the loophole that's being used with asylum.
00:04:18.420 And now here we are, as if that's not enough.
00:04:21.580 They have decided that they want as many criminals here as possible, and so other countries are sending, you know, sending criminals up here.
00:04:30.580 And we are saying, even if we know they're criminals, even if they've been released from prison,
00:04:34.880 the Biden administration is saying, in many cases, we'd love to have them, no matter what their background is.
00:04:40.500 We want them here.
00:04:41.320 So it's hard to believe that a president that really cared about America and the people of America is willing to put our citizens at such great risk
00:04:51.580 and realize that some people are going to be harmed, some people are going to die, and yet he says, bring it on.
00:04:57.260 We want them.
00:04:59.000 Why would they do that?
00:05:00.800 What would be their motivation?
00:05:02.940 I can almost understand their motivation when it comes to 6 million illegal immigrants.
00:05:08.600 That sort of fits into the coda that they'd created over the years, open borders and open opportunity in America.
00:05:18.960 But this, bringing in criminals, bringing in, they know terrorists are coming across that border as well.
00:05:25.720 Why bring those people in, knowingly and even eagerly?
00:05:31.160 Yeah, so, you know, many of the other ones you could argue it's just for votes.
00:05:34.720 But this one is for a second reason, I think.
00:05:38.620 And it's pretty sinister, but it's the only one that I can come up with.
00:05:42.040 And if they have a better explanation, they're certainly welcome to correct what I'm about to say.
00:05:46.600 But they want to harm many Republican states.
00:05:49.760 And, of course, some of these people will end up in non-Republican states.
00:05:52.320 But for the most part, they don't want Republican states doing well.
00:05:57.640 And that's why they want the costs imposed of all of them, whether it's economic or social or criminal.
00:06:03.540 They are – they want bad things to happen to Republican states because right now Republican states are doing well.
00:06:10.580 And the truth is they know that.
00:06:13.180 And I hate to attribute bad motives, but I don't know how to give a good motive to this idea that we're going to – we're encouraging.
00:06:21.380 We're fighting for.
00:06:23.280 Fighting.
00:06:23.720 Think about that.
00:06:24.420 They are fighting with government resources to get as many criminals here as they can.
00:06:29.240 And I don't know how to think of that in a good way.
00:06:31.540 And if there's some way to put it in a good way or to give a better light to it, I'd love for the Biden administration to go ahead and tell me how I'm wrong.
00:06:40.140 This administration has much to explain, and we also now know they will not be explaining.
00:06:47.040 And even if they did, they'd be lying.
00:06:49.200 This is an administration without credibility, without conscience, without ethics.
00:06:56.940 And as you say, I think you said it exactly right.
00:07:01.660 They believe they're in power, which entitles them not to obey or enforce our laws.
00:07:07.600 There's no other way really to look at it, is there?
00:07:10.180 They have no respect for what our founders put in place, which is a government of the people, by the people, for the people.
00:07:16.940 They think that they are smart enough, that they deserve to be able to tell us what to do because we're not good people.
00:07:22.680 They are.
00:07:23.060 And so they're trying to do their best, to subvert the Constitution, to use corporations, woke corporations, to step in their way and affect First Amendment rights, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, Second Amendment rights to other corporations.
00:07:42.000 So they're using the cover of corporations.
00:07:45.580 They're commiserating.
00:07:46.920 They're cooperating.
00:07:47.960 They're directing corporate actors because the government is not allowed to limit First Amendment rights.
00:07:53.380 They're not allowed to limit Second Amendment rights.
00:07:55.220 They're using corporations to do the dirty work.
00:07:58.740 And it's completely illegal because it's becoming very transparent that they're in league together.
00:08:05.900 Well, they're in league, as you put it.
00:08:11.020 Let me sort of ask first, how are corporations, in fact, doing the bidding of the Biden regime?
00:08:22.340 So I'll give you a couple of examples.
00:08:24.700 One, we're looking into right now, FedEx and UPS just put together policies.
00:08:30.100 Suddenly, at the very same time, kind of odd coincidence that they would both do this at the same time.
00:08:35.740 Where gun manufacturers have to disclose to them which guns they're shipping.
00:08:40.800 They have to separate out parts, and they have to separate out other items.
00:08:44.900 Now, why would it suddenly happen that these two companies would require this at the same time?
00:08:52.200 It's like a little gun registry that now, possibly, the federal government can use to know who has what guns.
00:09:00.000 It's illegal.
00:09:00.640 They're not supposed to do that.
00:09:02.120 Another example is just what's going on with these social media companies.
00:09:05.080 They are claiming under Section 230 that they're not publishers.
00:09:08.640 They're just a place, a depository for ideas.
00:09:12.840 They're not publishers.
00:09:13.640 They don't decide what contents on there.
00:09:15.240 And yet, we all know thousands of stories about it, whether it's Twitter or whether it's Google or whether it's any other company, Facebook.
00:09:23.520 They are not just – they are publishers because they are making editorial decisions.
00:09:28.680 And so, if they get special protection under Section 230, and yet, at the same time, they do exactly what other companies do, like newspapers.
00:09:37.960 They make publishing decisions.
00:09:40.060 Those companies can be sued.
00:09:41.540 But no, in our country, publishers – these tech companies get protected from anything they say or do because they're not making decisions.
00:09:49.600 So, they're having it both ways, and the government is in the middle of telling Facebook – we already know they did it with the Hunter Biden story – and they're doing it with other stories about whether people are talking about COVID or whether they're talking about the election.
00:10:04.900 They're being flagged, and the government is participating in that flagging by directing this and then receiving information about that.
00:10:11.960 This is what I'm talking about, the government indirectly doing what they couldn't do directly and using corporate America to participate in a scheme to defraud the American people of their constitutional rights.
00:10:25.400 I think that's fascinating.
00:10:27.460 I think you're exactly right.
00:10:28.620 I also think that people need to understand clearly – I think many Americans do, but certainly not all.
00:10:34.900 I think many of us do.
00:10:36.860 When we talk about corporate America, we're talking about corporate global.
00:10:41.400 They're no longer American companies.
00:10:43.560 They are no longer U.S. multinationals.
00:10:46.320 They are multinational, corporate global at work.
00:10:53.480 And when you talk about the idea that FedEx and UPS would suddenly come to this decision together at the same time focusing on guns, there's no other explanation.
00:11:07.100 Has anyone proffered one to you?
00:11:08.900 No.
00:11:10.580 And look, we've got – we've sent out civil investigative demands, which are like interrogatories or questions for these companies, to give us the answers.
00:11:18.480 And let's hear the answers.
00:11:19.940 Hopefully, they have one.
00:11:21.380 I'd love to hear one.
00:11:22.300 I hope there is one.
00:11:23.100 I really – I don't want this to be the case.
00:11:24.760 I want Americans to be free and not have the federal government intruding upon their Second Amendment rights.
00:11:31.180 But I don't – I can't think of an explanation.
00:11:33.780 I haven't been – nobody else has given me an explanation.
00:11:36.320 So we're going to find out if they'll answer our questions truthfully.
00:11:40.080 And if they don't, we'll sue them to find out.
00:11:42.540 And by the way, I don't view every corporation as woke, but there are certainly many of the large corporations that you're talking about, the international, the multinational, they are definitely woke.
00:11:54.040 Without any question.
00:11:56.020 Have you received, by the way, any kind of discussion in the wake particularly of the midterms about what the Republican Party is going to do about illegal immigration, what they are going to do?
00:12:08.940 You know, I've heard about all these – Mayorkas is going to be impeached.
00:12:13.780 I've heard, you know, all of that stuff and Biden family investigations, all of which is important.
00:12:20.440 I'm in no way minimizing those.
00:12:22.200 But we're not hearing anything about an investigation into the impact of 6 million illegal immigrants coming into the country.
00:12:30.520 We're not hearing any hearings or investigations into that or the impact on our societies by those violent criminals that you're talking about.
00:12:43.500 Isn't that surprising that we haven't heard from the Republican leadership on those issues because they're so important to our quality of life?
00:12:51.500 I agree with you, and I would call on Kevin McCarthy or whoever ends up being Speaker of the House to do those investigations.
00:12:58.640 It's the only way that we can expose – we obviously don't have the ability to pass legislation because we don't control the Senate and we don't control the White House.
00:13:07.040 And so we need our few elected leaders in the Republican Party to hold the other party accountable for the devastation and the crime and the deaths that are being caused so the American people can at least know the facts, know what really is going on, and have the answers to the questions of why we're letting terrorists and why we're letting criminals and why we're letting the drug trade go, why we're allowing massive human trafficking along the border and participating with the cartels in aiding and abetting their operations.
00:13:37.040 That question should be at least shown to the American people so that they have the opportunity to make a decision.
00:13:43.200 Do I want this? Do I love this? Do I keep supporting this? Or do I say, no, this is too much. My family's at risk.
00:13:51.140 You're absolutely right. And I think, again, it highlights a reality that people have to understand and take to heart.
00:14:00.960 And that is when we talk about corporate America, corporations, big business in this country.
00:14:07.040 We're talking about, that includes big media, the corporations, globalist corporations own all of our major media in this country.
00:14:22.060 I don't know what the number is. It has to approach 100 percent.
00:14:25.520 But also, I'll just say almost. And for people not to understand that corporations aren't the right, at one time, they were Republican as could be.
00:14:36.460 They were conservative as could be. And they were reliably good citizens of a great America.
00:14:43.100 They are no longer that. And I don't care what the United States, the United Citizens Law says.
00:14:49.820 Corporations are not individuals. They're not citizens.
00:14:52.740 And these corporations now can are not even American citizens if they are citizens at all.
00:14:59.800 No. No. Look, some of these companies are aiding and abetting the Chinese.
00:15:06.240 And they're sort of moved to become the dominant superpower at our expense, not to just be competitive with us, but to actually dominate us and hurt us.
00:15:18.380 They're not out to just benefit their own people. They're competing to destroy us.
00:15:23.340 And yet we have many corporations who are over there participating with the Chinese and doing exactly that.
00:15:29.140 Those are not friendly American corporations anymore.
00:15:31.660 They may have started here, but if they're in any way abetting other nations, whether it's China or Russia or any other country that wants to harm us,
00:15:39.820 they're truly not for America.
00:15:43.280 They're for their own corporate profits and their own corporate interests that have somehow diverged and diverted from caring about the country they started in and that gave them their opportunity.
00:15:54.160 And, you know, going back to your point about the number of very dangerous, deadly criminals that are coming across the border, very deadly.
00:16:03.940 Fentanyl is coming across that country as part of the it is a Chinese Mexico enterprise.
00:16:10.020 The cartels are manufacturing it here with the assistance of both the precursors, the ingredients in fentanyl and also their scientists who are putting it together and shipping it into this country to kill hundreds of thousands of Americans.
00:16:30.740 And yet we're not hearing a word from the Republican national leadership about the importance of securing that border, about the importance of holding Mexico accountable.
00:16:45.460 Where violence, as you know better than any of us, I believe, I mean, the violence that's taking place right now, particularly from Mexico City north in Mexico, that cartel violence is out of control.
00:17:00.420 And Manuel Lopez Obrador hasn't got a clue what he's doing unless it is his intention to enable the cartels.
00:17:10.440 Look, he may be spirit of them, too, as they gain more power and as we enable them.
00:17:15.900 And make no mistake about it, the Biden administration is not just enabling, we're in a tacit partnership with them.
00:17:24.600 We may not have a signed document, but the cartels know that the Biden administration has invited them to bring as many people here as possible.
00:17:33.280 And he's told them, hey, the borders are not protected.
00:17:37.140 We're a logistics operation.
00:17:38.820 I've turned these people into logistic operators, not border patrol.
00:17:42.060 So the border is wide open for drugs.
00:17:43.700 You can kill as many Americans as you want.
00:17:46.780 It sounds very extreme, but it's true.
00:17:49.320 And again, I challenge the Biden administration.
00:17:51.900 They don't ever talk about this.
00:17:53.640 I challenge them to step forward and tell me how this isn't true, that they are sacrificing American lives and they're doing it by helping the cartels and the Chinese kill Americans.
00:18:04.520 And I hate that, but it's true.
00:18:07.620 I believe you're saying 100 percent the truth that other people haven't got the guts to say.
00:18:12.040 And I want to ask you about this cartel hitman has disappeared from the federal prison system, the U.S. federal prison system.
00:18:24.160 Edgar Valdez Villarreal, he is he is a notorious, vicious, violent cartel leader.
00:18:32.440 He was being held in a facility, Coleman 2 facility in Florida.
00:18:40.060 And the first the first thing we hear about it is he disappeared from the database.
00:18:47.600 And now we're hearing that he was possibly released, but without transference to another facility.
00:18:54.040 And he was serving he had another 50 half century to serve on his sentence for all the crimes that he had committed.
00:19:01.800 And suddenly, without any any discussion, without any knowledge, without any public courts, his court hearing or publication.
00:19:11.480 He is actually got President Manuel Lopez Obrador a little excited, too.
00:19:18.000 He wants to know where he is.
00:19:19.660 And so far, the U.S. government is not responding.
00:19:23.980 I mean, could they possibly have just simply released this man?
00:19:27.420 Look, it's pretty suspicious.
00:19:30.960 I don't know.
00:19:32.180 I don't know how this could have happened accidentally.
00:19:34.380 Somebody high up wanted this guy out.
00:19:36.900 And, you know, will we ever know who that is?
00:19:39.240 You don't just a guy like this doesn't just get released.
00:19:43.380 This is kind of like Jeffrey Epstein, you know, committing suicide in jail.
00:19:47.160 That doesn't likely happen unless somebody wanted it to happen.
00:19:50.980 And this looks like one of those situations.
00:19:53.720 And then somehow the sky has been released by somebody in the federal government.
00:19:57.460 And now they don't want to tell the story.
00:19:59.400 It's very alarming.
00:20:01.800 It is alarming.
00:20:02.940 And I think you're exactly right.
00:20:04.620 I know you're right.
00:20:06.020 And meanwhile, we have upwards of 800 people, American citizens held in various Bureau of Prisons facilities in and around Washington, D.C.,
00:20:20.920 where many of them have been there for almost two years.
00:20:25.140 Some of them have never been charged.
00:20:27.700 Many of them have not had a trial to this point.
00:20:34.040 It is atrocious.
00:20:35.860 And we don't hear a word from the Republican Party.
00:20:38.520 We don't hear a word from civil rights organizations like the ACLU.
00:20:43.600 We hear nothing from the American Bar Association.
00:20:47.220 We hear nothing from the Veterans Association.
00:20:49.500 Some of those folks who are being treated like they're in a Russian gulag are American veterans as well as American citizens.
00:20:59.580 Your thoughts, Ken, as we sit here today, almost two years they've been incarcerated and without effect,
00:21:09.480 none of their advocates seem to be able to bring either American justice or the Constitution to bear against the awful might of the Biden regime.
00:21:24.080 You're thinking?
00:21:25.840 It's a good way to put it, regime.
00:21:27.540 It's pretty scary to think about where we are.
00:21:31.820 If the Constitution cannot protect somebody, 800 people, whatever the number is,
00:21:37.540 and can't get them a fair trial in a reasonable amount of time, everybody's entitled to a speedy trial.
00:21:44.740 They're entitled to be charged.
00:21:46.100 They're entitled to have their speedy trial.
00:21:47.620 And if there are 800 people that have not gotten that, we're in a very dangerous spot in the United States.
00:21:53.620 We obviously see what I was talking about with the Biden administration going after constitutional rights.
00:21:58.800 This is one of the supreme constitutional rights.
00:22:02.520 It's the right to be free and have the opportunity to pursue your own dreams and happiness under the Declaration of Independence.
00:22:10.440 And so I'm very concerned about this and horrified by it, and it makes me think of not just Russia.
00:22:18.500 It makes me think about what happened to the Jews in Nazi Germany.
00:22:21.080 No one spoke out.
00:22:21.960 They started slowly but surely eliminating their rights.
00:22:26.520 And before we knew it, they were deemed expendable and they were exterminated.
00:22:31.260 And I don't know what's going on in this country, but it's a little bit scary when constitutional rights don't matter anymore.
00:22:40.440 And that's a great way to put it.
00:22:42.500 They don't matter.
00:22:44.600 Not to this regime and apparently not to the American people or our representatives in Washington, D.C.
00:22:52.460 Twitter, as we watch what Elon Musk revealed in his document dump,
00:23:01.000 the collusion between the FBI, the Department of Justice and Twitter, big media, shutting down the truth about the Hunter Biden laptop,
00:23:11.680 the lies that were told by 51 intelligence agencies in the 2020 election.
00:23:19.080 That level of collusion and interaction and there's no laws have been broken there, Ken.
00:23:25.340 So I think that tells us that we are on the verge of some pretty serious problems in the United States if we're not there now.
00:23:34.180 When law enforcement, particularly the Department of Justice and the FBI, are involved in this type of collusion for political reasons,
00:23:43.380 not doing their job legitimately as law enforcement officers, they have become the problem.
00:23:48.900 They are organized crime.
00:23:49.980 Instead of being there to stop organized crime, to stop crime, they have now become crime.
00:23:54.880 And they are endowed with the power of the federal government to go do it,
00:23:58.740 which is worse than having a mafia or worse than having criminal organizations is to have the government operate criminally.
00:24:06.220 And I don't know how we acted.
00:24:08.380 The number of stories that we've seen about the FBI colluding on trying to prevent legitimate crime from being investigated
00:24:15.580 and then trying to turn other people into criminals that are just trying to live their lives,
00:24:23.340 but they're on the wrong political side or they're doing things that inconvenience the Biden administration.
00:24:29.760 Tell me how that's not like Germany in the 30s.
00:24:32.140 Tell me how that's not like China now.
00:24:34.560 I don't see much difference.
00:24:37.740 I don't either.
00:24:39.140 We always give our guests, as you know, Mr. Attorney General, the last word.
00:24:44.680 And if you would, your concluding thoughts.
00:24:47.780 We appreciate your appearance here today on the Great America Show.
00:24:53.200 Yeah, I guess I'd just say if we're going to preserve our freedom,
00:24:56.580 I think it was Reagan or somebody like Reagan said that the price of freedom is internal vigilance.
00:25:03.500 Actually, it was probably repeated by Reagan and said by one of our founders.
00:25:06.580 But it's true.
00:25:08.320 We have to be diligent now.
00:25:09.560 We can't just focus on the things that we've always focused on,
00:25:13.840 which is our families, which are important, and our jobs, which are important.
00:25:16.960 We have to care about this republic and this democracy,
00:25:19.760 or we are not going to preserve it for ourselves, our kids, and our grandchildren.
00:25:24.580 So we're in a battle, a real battle for the soul of our country as to whether we're going to be free
00:25:31.720 or whether we're going to be controlled by government.
00:25:34.300 And some people may think that's a great way to go.
00:25:36.460 But I can tell you this, you talk to anybody from people,
00:25:41.200 anybody that's lived in a communist country before, they can tell you,
00:25:44.700 or it's a totalitarian government, they can tell you it's nothing like it's cracked up to be.
00:25:48.980 It all turns out great for the leaders and very bad for the 99% of the population.
00:25:54.240 Without exception.
00:25:56.360 And we appreciate you being with us here today, Ken.
00:26:00.600 And I just want to say to the people of Texas, you're very fortunate to have Ken Paxton as your attorney general.
00:26:08.180 And he is a great Texan.
00:26:10.900 We're grateful that he's also a great American.
00:26:14.140 Ken Paxton, attorney general of the great state of Texas.
00:26:16.560 Thanks for being with us, and God bless you.
00:26:19.300 Hey, thank you, and Merry Christmas.
00:26:22.340 Thanks to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton for being our guest on The Great America Show today
