00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Wednesday,
00:00:03.740 November 26th. Happy Wednesday, folks, and happy Thanksgiving Eve. Today, tragically,
00:00:08.640 around 2.15 in the afternoon Eastern time, two members of the National Guard were performing
00:00:13.640 high visibility patrols in Washington, D.C., before a suspect appeared to raise his arms
00:00:18.760 with a firearm and discharged at the National Guardsmen, according to the Executive Assistant
00:00:24.300 Chief of Metro Police for Washington, D.C. At a press conference earlier today, he said
00:00:29.580 after some back and forth, the guardsmen were able to subdue the individual and bring them into
00:00:33.760 custody. D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene. They brought those two
00:00:39.680 men to the hospital. It was first being reported that they had passed away. It's now being corrected
00:00:44.300 that they are in critical condition in the hospital. We're praying for a speedy recovery and that these
00:00:49.520 folks pull through the blood on the hands of the Marxist Democrats who have made these guardsmen 0.92
00:00:55.080 and people of the military and their police, these people's lives, just absolutely miserable and
00:00:59.560 horrible by putting targets on their back each and every day that these folks go to work.
00:01:04.640 It shouldn't be this way, folks. But the Marxist Democrats are unrelenting in their hatred for
00:01:10.240 this country. Now, the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, had these few words to say after hearing about
00:01:16.480 the attack. Myself and my team were notified that two National Guardsmen have been shot
00:01:22.360 in Washington, D.C., critically wounded. The shooter shot in a cowardly, dastardly act targeting
00:01:32.340 the best of America. Heroes willing to serve in Washington, D.C., serve for people they don't know
00:01:40.580 and they've never met because they love their country and their capital and their community.
00:01:45.980 They were willing to do dangerous things others were not because they love their fellow Americans.
00:01:52.300 Someone decided to turn that into targeting National Guardsmen. That will only stiffen our resolve.
00:01:59.520 We will never back down. We will secure our capital. We will secure our cities. In fact, this happened just
00:02:05.940 steps away from the White House. It will not stand. And that's why President Trump has asked me and I will
00:02:12.480 ask the Secretary of the Army to the National Guard to add 500 additional troops, National Guardsmen to
00:02:18.880 Washington, D.C. This will only stiffen our resolve to ensure that we make Washington, D.C. safe and beautiful.
00:02:26.560 The drop in crime has been historic. The increase in safety and security has been historic.
00:02:33.360 But if criminals want to conduct things like this, violence against America's best,
00:02:38.080 we will never back down. President Trump will never back down. That's why the American people elected him.
00:02:44.560 America and our warriors, our National Guardsmen are strong. And so we're following this very closely.
00:02:49.320 We're getting information rapidly. And I mentioned the faith of this country, the Christian faith,
00:02:58.840 the prayers. I would ask for prayers for our National Guardsmen. Appeals to heaven for our National Guardsmen,
00:03:06.360 for their families on bended knee as a war department, as a nation. We will never back down.
00:03:13.480 Excuse me about them right now. Venezuela.
00:03:16.600 And that was, as I said, Secretary of Warp, Pete Hegseth earlier today. President Trump
00:03:20.840 putting a Truth Social post out saying, quote, the animal that shot the two National Guardsmen,
00:03:26.320 both being critically wounded, are now in two separate hospitals, is also very severely wounded.
00:03:31.800 But regardless, will pay a very steep price. God bless our great National Guard and all of our
00:03:37.320 military and law enforcement. These are truly great people. I, as President of the United States,
00:03:41.740 and everyone associated with the office of the presidency am with you. And that's the exact
00:03:47.180 message that you do send to these folks who, for years, selflessly serving this country just to be
00:03:53.580 targeted by the Marxist Dems. It's reprehensible and it's disgusting. And of course, folks, if you turn 0.55
00:03:58.860 to Twitter, Chuck Schumer and the rest of his Marxist Dems with the blood on their hands, offering their
00:04:03.420 words of support. But they're the ones, folks, who have put these people in this situation. Make no mistake
00:04:11.260 about it. Turning now to some news today out of some good news today out of the great state of
00:04:16.940 Georgia. The new Georgia prosecutor who was choosing to replace Fannie Willis in her lawfare
00:04:21.820 RICO case against President Trump has dropped the case. In August of 2023, Fannie Willis indicted 0.73
00:04:28.060 President Trump and 18 co-defendants for daring challenge the 2020 election. Willis hit President
00:04:33.500 Trump in the co-defense with RICO charges and other charges. Nathan Wade, who was her boyfriend,
00:04:38.220 was paid more than $600,000 as a special prosecutor while wining and dining, of course, with Fannie Willis.
00:04:44.300 So the case now, folks, is over. The Marxist Dems once again lose. They are losers. Folks,
00:04:50.700 please be sure to join us each and every day for The Great America Show. And if you missed today's show
00:04:54.300 or tomorrow's show or whatever we want, I wish you a happy Thanksgiving. We're thankful for you guys
00:04:59.340 tuning into the show each and every night and supporting The Great America Show because without you,
00:05:04.260 we're not able to come out and put on this show. So we truly and greatly appreciate every day that
00:05:09.300 you guys tune in. Even if you miss the show every now and then, we'll forgive you. I'm John Fossett
00:05:13.620 with this Midday Update. If we don't see you folks, have a great, happy, blessed, and wonderful Thanksgiving.
