00:00:00.000 So these days, nearly everyone is saying Christ is king. It's on social media, it's on bumper
00:00:06.380 stickers, on mugs. It's become sort of a rallying cry for people who basically they want to push
00:00:14.480 back on the kind of madness of our modern day. So I get that. It's become slogan. It's like many
00:00:22.320 such slogans that's been, you could say it's been co-opted by those who don't really accept
00:00:28.760 what it means or what it demands of us. It's rapidly being emptied of the real meaning.
00:00:37.400 And unless we can get the truth about Christ's kingship out, the consequences for our families
00:00:44.520 and our nations, indeed for the worldwide world, are going to be dire. Let's begin as we always do
00:00:51.040 with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
00:00:59.560 The current conflict in Iran, well, that shows us one thing, doesn't it?
00:01:05.620 There cannot be peace unless the world recognizes Christ's kingship.
00:01:11.920 The Holy Bible and the Church's tradition are very clear.
00:01:16.720 The kingship of Christ is about something far more powerful, more beautiful, and more urgent than almost anyone is talking about today.
00:01:25.340 Our Lord is not just a nice person in the sky. The goodness of the sacred heart of Jesus
00:01:33.060 demands the love, submission, and obedience of all of us. In the encyclical Quas Primus,
00:01:41.900 Pope Pius XI taught us that our Lord Jesus Christ possesses a real, actual kingship over every man,
00:01:51.500 over every family, over every nation, and every civil authority on earth. That includes you and
00:01:59.340 your family and your nation, as well as mine. The whole of human society, yes, even presidents,
00:02:08.040 are bound to recognize Jesus and his commandments in making laws and administering justice.
00:02:15.780 So St. Paul the Apostle says, for he must reign until he hath put all enemies under his feet.
00:02:24.140 That's what Christ the King actually means.
00:02:27.660 The full public recognition that Jesus Christ is sovereign King of all nations, and that
00:02:35.460 no lasting peace, no true justice, no real freedom are possible without Jesus Christ.
00:02:42.740 this is the catholic social order this is christendom even if leo the 14th is being
00:02:51.980 reported by the world council of churches as saying and i quote our task is not to build
00:02:57.540 a christendom end quote some people wrongly call this a theocracy the idea that we must indeed
00:03:06.320 build a Christendom. But anything less is simply Christian-flavored secularism. With Leo XIV saying 0.82
00:03:15.580 our task is not to build Christendom, it's no wonder that almost nobody is working to make it
00:03:21.300 a reality. And that, my friends, is why the bad guys are winning, and why LifeSite News' mission
00:03:28.240 is more important than ever. Every single Christian must take part in God's great plan
00:03:36.400 to re-establish all things in Christ, as the scriptures tell us. But for too long,
00:03:42.640 too many conservatives have tried to work for very noble goals, to end abortion,
00:03:48.760 for children's innocence, and so on, but without reference to Christ's kingdom.
00:03:54.300 and on the terms set for us by the godless liberal and secular society. Here are the facts.
00:04:02.180 Unborn babies will not be truly safe from abortion until the state recognizes that Christ is king.
00:04:08.900 Children will not be safe from the LGBTQ agenda until the state recognizes that Christ is king. 0.97
00:04:16.320 The next generation will never live an economically just society until the state recognizes that Christ 1.00
00:04:23.160 is king. Elderly will not be safe from euthanasia until the state recognizes that Christ is king.
00:04:31.200 Even you will not be safe from bombs being dropped in war until all states recognize that Christ is
00:04:40.860 king. There will be no lasting political victory without the kingship of Christ.
00:04:46.340 And that's why LifeSite News puts the restoration of Christ's kingship at the heart of our mission.
00:04:53.160 I don't think there's another news agency or advocacy group that takes this absolutely
00:04:59.080 uncompromising stance on the issues that mean so much to all of us. But our ability to do all of
00:05:06.000 this is in your hands. Running an operation like LifeSite News is not free, and your support will
00:05:14.520 determine how much we can do for Christ the King. If we want to fund our essential mission,
00:05:23.160 going into the next quarter, we must raise $600,000 and quickly. If we don't raise these
00:05:30.680 funds, our investigative journalism will founder at the very moment the church needs it most.
00:05:37.140 Our goal to set up Christ is King billboards in all 50 states will not be achieved,
00:05:42.660 leaving millions of Americans in ignorance of this essential truth. The advance of the
00:05:49.240 synodal church will continue, replacing authentic Catholic doctrine with a vague dogma-less
00:05:56.500 humanitarianism because LifeSite News will be unable to continue the fight. If it is not
00:06:02.740 bolstered by a defense of Christ's kingship, the pro-life movement will be caught in a war
00:06:08.540 of attrition, which the abortion empire will win. If you believe that Christ is king and want 1.00
00:06:16.760 everyone to know what this really means. Please act now. Generous donations of $50 or $100 or $250
00:06:26.520 are the backbone of LifeSite News' work, defending life, faith, family, and freedom.
00:06:33.680 They can make the difference between Christ's kingship being proclaimed and utter rebellion
00:06:39.980 of society from God. And that will make the difference between our children keeping the faith
00:06:46.100 or losing it. Sacrificial gifts of $500 or $1,000 or $10,000 can help us take the fight
00:06:53.460 to the enemies of the social reign of Jesus Christ. They've been game-changing for LifeSite News
00:07:00.240 and our mission in the past, and they will be so again. Many Christians have a devotion to the
00:07:06.960 person of our Lord Jesus and to his most sacred heart. But as you make these devotions, consider
00:07:13.900 this. The devotion to the sacred heart of Jesus and the social kingship of Christ are not two
00:07:20.360 separate things. They are one in the same. When you pray before an image of the sacred heart today,
00:07:28.100 you are praying for the very thing that LifeSite News works for every day, the restoration of
00:07:34.280 Christ's reign over hearts, families, and nations. Will you unite your devotion to a gift of support
00:07:43.160 to this mission. Every gift you give, no matter how big or small, is absolutely crucial to the
00:07:50.240 defense of life, faith, family, and freedom. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart
00:07:55.660 for your incredible support. But wait a minute, there's one more thing. The kingship of Jesus
00:08:02.320 Christ isn't just necessary for the pro-life movement and other conservative causes to succeed.
00:08:08.260 it's necessary to avoid a total collapse into state atheism the persecution of the church
00:08:16.340 and even global war pope pius the 11th warned us what would happen to men and nations who cast
00:08:26.500 christ out of public life he said first that the church would be placed on the same level as false
00:08:34.360 religions. And you know, that's already happened. Next, he said that the church would be made 0.97
00:08:39.680 subject to the state. And guess what? That's already happened. Then religion in general
00:08:45.780 will come to be seen as optional, as an optional eccentricity for those who want it. And of course,
00:08:55.100 that's already happened. And next, the state would become atheistic, at least by abandoning God and
00:09:01.660 existing without any meaningful reference to him. And of course, that's already happened.
00:09:08.160 And finally, the atheistic state will begin to persecute the church and openly mock God.
00:09:15.880 And in many countries, that's already the case. And even here in America,
00:09:20.400 we're nearly there, especially with shocking events like the Paris Olympics, mocking the
00:09:27.200 Last Supper not long ago. Even just this week, we saw Carrie Prejean officially kicked off 0.99
00:09:34.980 Trump's Religious Liberty Commission for what? For defending the traditional belief
00:09:41.260 against Zionism. As a Catholic, nearly every stage of Pope Pius XI's prophecy 0.56
00:09:50.920 has been fulfilled. Without respect for God's law, there is nothing to stop the world descending
00:09:57.620 into cataclysmic war like that prophesied by Our Lady in many apparitions and private revelations.
00:10:05.760 And without the kingship of Christ, everything will keep getting worse and worse. LifeSite News
00:10:12.980 is working to reverse this catastrophe. And to be honest, there's not much support for us with
00:10:20.200 many people doing the same thing. And certainly, we're without the support of those who claim to
00:10:27.320 be our shepherds. So we need your help. Please give to our spring campaign today.
00:10:36.300 Please be generous. Pray about what our Lord might be calling you to do.
00:10:41.900 And if he inspires you to give, please do so. For LifeSite News and Son of the Cross Media,
00:10:47.400 I'm John Henry Weston, and may God bless you.
